In Sosua at least, the clerk at the Claro store would probably be up for an after-hours date with you if the price was right. Generally speaking, the average non-hooking job that a young woman can get in the DR doesn't pay squat, and they are mostly open to opportunities to supplement their income. Sex does not have the stigma there that it does in the U.S. Of a chica really doesn't want to participate in P4P, she probably isn't in Sosua.

2041 and Jaosousa are right.

I've had very good experiences with cute chicas working in phone stores or other service jobs and not just in Sosua - and I'm not the sort of guy who would ever try that in the US. There just isn't a sharp line. It's not unusual for having sex with the boss to be a condition of employment for desirable jobs - they wouldn't be in a position to throw stones.

You have to just try hitting on a few cute 'regular' chicas that in the US you would expect to look at you like you were insane - and have them flirt with you and show genuine interest to get the idea that you're not in Kansas anymore.

I got an interesting text this morning. My Playa Dorado girl say's she needs 100usd for an Aids test. I text her back that we always use condoms, then I accuse her of screwing other guys without a condom. I then tell her don't call me ever again.

She calls back crying saying I don't understand. She applied for a resort job in Luperon, and you need a pre-employment aids, std test. I didn't know that all resorts do sex tests. Anyone ever heard of this before?

Playa Dorada has a really nice dance club, called Mangoes or something like that. Quite hopping, great music and a good a mix of pros and non-pros crowd.

Crystals in Puerto Plata city is a good place for grabbing ass by pool, massages and rest of the services. Its combination of a strip club and a massage place with a pool area on the roof and private rooms. You can spend hours at the strip club grabbing several beautiful asses and only pay for the drinks.

A word of caution, if you are into casino action. A lot of casinos there are running big time scams. These scams are operated by well connected underworld from within the casinos. They used to run a game called Super Keno which is a big time scam. This game has been run under several different names. For additional information, check out http://www.superkenoscam.com/

First time to DR.

Staying at Terra Linda. Are some rooms better then the others? First floor have any advantages? Is the sexo hush hush and the mongers are preferred to stay on the first floor? Can you take two girls up at TL? Is the talent walking thru the pool areas the same as New Garden?

Trying to get some golf in with my wingman. I found a few on the web.

Playa Grande- 1 hr from Sosua. Don't want to waste time or money unless its a dream course. Chances of us golfing here are slim. 1hr taxi how much?

Playa Dorada- Hoping this is real close. Need to research more. Pretty sure this is in Sosua.

All we really need is one good course. Any golfers out there? I was planning on renting clubs. He is taking his. Not sure there is enough golf there to drag my clubs with me.

So are BBBJ's the norm out there? How about a 2 girl BBBJ with some COF! How much would that run me?

March 18-23 are the dates. Mainly want to kick it poolside and chase some chica's. Golf and probably shoot some pool while grabbing some ass. Maybe learn how to Merenge or Salsa.

Poolside at NG and TL. Not a ton of time. BB's on next trip or should I make it happen on this try?

GOlf at?

SHoot some pool and grab ass at?

Dancing at?

Massage at Passions and?

Don't pay more then 3000. 1000 can be had from what I read.

How is this DR going to compare to Tijuana? I plan to find out next week!

Oops. Looks like the URL http://www.Superkenoscam.com/ is no longer carrying the information on this scam. This used to be the place for this information. However, the scam is indeed real.

Be careful out there.

I know this from personal experince with my GF cousin who recently was hired in a resort, hotel, casino in SD.

i have only been here for a day and i've come to the conclusion that those who have been trashing sosua is just trying to hog all the fun for themselves.

i have been very busy. short synopsis (that's all the time i have right now, lol):

-definitely more females than males

-definitely lots of new talent, especially from santo domingo

-definitely 7-10's all around this bish! i have been banging nothing but absolute stunners. some even fresh off the bus from la capital. classico's and the entire pedro clisante was definitely the place to be last night.

might not get to log back on until after my trip, but i promise you this is the place to be right now....

p.s. definitely try you a haitian chica! i am speechless in that regard... :)

If you want to work in tourism here in the D.R. a hiv test is required, but you can get tested for free in a public hospital or at least this is the case where i live in San Christobal.

Don Antonio is cheap and chica friendly. 29$ + 5$ Ac (mine doesn't work). Big size bed in my room, Safe, fridge, and watchman. There's a pool, a snack bar. I didn't ask for breackfast, i directly went to NG with my chica. You could say it's a cheap NG. NG is upscale and now crowdy. the hotel is on dr rosen to but next to the main road (Luperon). It's noisy all the time. During the day you ear the heavy traffic and at night the lood music of the pedro clisante bars. Because of that the shady trees and the birds are unable to fool you, you are here for the chicas, lucky you.*

Hi all,

I've finally got my flights booked to puerto plata airport on 3rd of May and can't wait. I think I'll head to sosua first and was hoping to get a few points cleared up first. Some people have said to me that the Dom Rep is the wests equivilante to Thailand and was just wondering how true that is? I get the impression having read previous posts that alot of the bars are spread out on different streets are there parts like Patpong in Bangkok where you could stumble out of one Go-Go bar and into the next.

Also I havnt booked accomodation yet but wil probably try and get one of the well apraised one's on here like NG or Sosua Bay/Terra Linda for the first night or two then look around. Is it possible to rent a bungalow on the beach like on some of the islands around Thailand where working girls walk past and you could be sitting outside having a beer in the afternoon and choose one to come join you for a while.

I hope to have some good reportsfor you after I return.

Reading your post reminds me of 5 years ago and my first trip to Sosua. I pictured Sosua to be a beach town where you could drink at the bar late at night watching the ocean. I thought all hotels would be a block or less from the beach.................boy was I wrong

I have only spent a few hours in Sosua in the past couple of years and that was a few weeks ago. Nothing has really changed. To me Sosua is the beach in the day and the one block section on the drag at night, each an area of it's own.

I often wonder how many people saw Sosua for the first time and it was exactly as they had dreamed it would be...........

Save some for me! what prices are they trying to get?
It depends on the girl as always. I was being very picky this trip and only went after the stunners. If any of you know a chica by the name of Eugenia then you should know that she was very popular this time around and if you didn't let her know your intentions she'd get scooped up by the time you thought about it. My friend introduced me to her on her and my first night there (Wednesday) and he himself wasn't able to hit that until Saturday night!

I laugh when I hear guys talking about they only pay 1000 ST as if that applies to all the chicas in Sosua. I paid 2500 ST to her; my friend paid 2000 and this is only because he knew her. Everytime we saw her some guy was trying to get at her. She sits Latino's sipping Henny from one of those fancy looking glasses. She definitely came to make money, but at the same time she is not begging or desparately in need of you 1000 pesos.

But check this: I got her right when she rolled into town fresh off the bus from Santo Domingo (I'm sure I wasn't her first visitor that day since I only met her around 8pm). She was dressed pretty regular. After I hit it I immediately told her I wanted TLN the next night because once I saw her out of her clothes I knew that everyone else was going to catch on pretty quickly about this "diamond in the ruff." She will fuck your brains out but this chick is all business. She don't want to hug, kiss, or cuddle. Just nut, get up, and go.

The night I did ST with her we finished our business and she left. I end up in classicos around 11ish and see her with a group of guys. Now mind you that classicos really doesn't get started jumping until 1230. This chick was in there for no more than 15 minutes before she disappeared with someone else.

We do our TLN thursday night, but all during the day when I saw her she was occupied, lol. Somebody must have took her ass shopping because she was dressed like something out of a music video every night thereafter. I don't know what her prices are like now, but this little babe came to town and cleaned up.

I say all that to say anyone telling you that they had the same chick for less is blowing smoke up your ass. The dime piece chicas are well aware of what they can do and 1000 pesos gets you laughed at.

If you are fucking a broad like that for 1000 pesos then you must be Brad Pitts twin brother. Then again, what would someone like that be doing milling around Sosua with the rest of us slubs, let alone paying for sex? ;-P

But to answer your question, I payed as low as 1500 this trip to 4000 TLN with a chica I wifed-up that was total GFE and stayed from 4pm until 10am with multiple pops ("pop until you drop"). And I paid this much to take her out of the talent pool. Baby had ass and hips like Brazilian and thick pouty lipps. Dudes at NG saw her and probably was waiting around to see when I would turn her loose. If that was the case then they probably camped outside that night :)

OH, I DID NOT HIT ANY NEW GARDEN CHICKS THE ENTIRE TIME. THE TALENT IS WAY DOWN (talking "bottom of the barrel") AROUND THE HOTEL, but the hotel its self AND the free breakfast is still AWESOME. I recommend the jacuzzi suite highly!

Thanks for the update Savepros. I will keep my eye out for this "Eugenia" just to see what she looks like, as I am fairly selective/picky. From your description of her, and how she carries herself, I might say hello and then I'm "on to the next one".I do not really get into the "pay debate" as it's a "bridge to nowhere" so to speak on this forum. If your happy with the service provided, and deem it a fair deal then congrats to you. The talent that was NG was that bad?

Nice report, even though you had to share and spend YOUR money, as long as you enjoyed yourself thats all that counts. But be prepared for the 1000peso guys to complain.

You are a better person than me. Even tough we all fuck the same chics my ego won't let me bang a chic if I know know I'm getting sloppy seconds or in you case sloppy fifths LOL. Damn that chic must be fine. As my brother says"its nothing soap and water can't fix".

This is where our mongering styles differ. I never go for the pretty girl everybody wants, because it usually means high mileage. I like the average looking girl sitting alone that everybody ignores. They may not have many options so what they get they appreciate.

But we are the same with our reporting. No sugar coating it, just telling it like it was. Your honesty is appreciated here.

Dude, if you are selective like me you are not going to even look twice at the broads hanging around there. You should have seen the look on their faces when I was parading stunners back and forth to my room all day, lol!

I saw at least three of the NG chicas I banged last March still hanging around the place. Time has not been too kind to their bodies. But NG is my spot and I'll still book with them I the future because I like their rooms and service.

There ARE some very nice chicas that came through NG while I was there, but the only reason I knew this was because I saw them while sitting in the dining area waiting on my girls or my amigo to show up. To be honest with you the only time I ever came back to NG was to meet with my chicas that I would call up to come and meet me for our session. After that I was out the door and back on the Pedro Clisante.

I've been guilty of first clocking a few NG chicas before sunset on my first night but I promised myself not the next time. Once you tag them they kinda get this confidence that they can roll up on you anytime. This happened last time when me and my homeboy Mr. G had dates! My strategy will be a diffrent one. NG chicas are good if nothing else is around however, there is always something else in Sosua!

I hear you Mr Gogo. I actually like to mix things up a bit. I will bang the "superstars" AND the average girls off to the side (so long as they are attractive to me).

Most of the stunners are for sport-fucking during the day. It's purely an ego thing for me. These are girls that would be far out of my league back in the states. Sort of like hitting the captain of the high school cheerleading squad or prom queen. By evening time I am all tired out and just looking for a nice girl to chill with.

The average girls you are referring to are usually very GFE. The last girl I had for TLN the night before leaving Sosua came back with me to my room around 7ish. I had fucked so many girls during the day that I was all worn out by then. I told her that I was in no rush to bang her and just wanted to chill for a while. We just listened to music and played around and I got to school her about different artist and she introduced me to Tono Rosario (the "Hot Dog" song is awesome and I ended up buying his CD off the street) and gave me more insight into Dominican Culture. We didn't end up doing the deed until around 12am.

You can't do that with the stunners. They are machines, lol! Insert your coins and ride. Insert more coins if you want to ride again...

Any fotos of this chick?

Give me a minute until the air clears a bit. Believe it or not I had a bytch of a time getting even non-nude photos this time around. Technology is both gift and curse. Lots of the chicas are well aware that guys are posting their pics on the net and know where to look on the net to find them. Doesn't help that Blackberry's and iPhones make it even easier to accomplish "sneak-a-snaps".

ON THAT NOTE: Lots of these chicas now have phones that have cameras on them as well. Eugenia had what looked like a knock-off iPhone. Chicas may get the impression that what's good for the gander is good for the goose. So if you don't want to see your naked ass on the net, CLOSE THE DOOR WHEN YOU SHIT AND SHOWER!

The following question is for you DR experts, guys that live there. I am planning a trip to Sosua this weekend (arrive friday, leave sunday). Will alcohol be served and will the clubs be open? A couple of people have said yes and a couple of people have said no. I need to know for SURE from someone that has been been there in the past. Thanks in advance! Here are my latest observations:

Since January there has been a clear influx of Haitianas and pimped Dominicanas from La Capital. Saturday nights are very much for Dominicans with a lot of hip hop and stoned motopsychos.

Girls expect RD$2,000 for 3 hours with 2 pops and RD$3,000 for TLN. As always Dominicans’ ST day action rate fluctuates around RD$500. On average I have paid RD$2,000 per girl including bar and tips on a mix of ST and TLN. The lowest was RD$1,000 and the highest RD$4,500 for a “happy hour” duo.

Money perspective: Typical local lunch (comida) of rice, meat, beans and salad costs RD$125. Girls rent rooms at RD$200 on daily basis and RD$1,500-2,000 on monthly basis.

When you look at the cedula, do actual calculation. Girls do not know how to calculate, and have got no idea with respect to local P4P laws.

Hours: Britannia opens at 8 am. Nothing seems to be open earlier. Colmado near Rocky’s closes at 10 pm – good to know for late arrivals to stock a fridge.
Best day on a beach – Saturday (a lot of weekenders but still not a local day off), worst day on a beach – Monday (many places are closed).

Picture of a night: Dozens of working girls stroll the drag sucking on lollipops.

Good pricing info, Questner. In my opinion, spot on, though always remembering that "expect" is not the same as "will accept".

Since January there has been a clear influx of Haitianas ...
In the five years I have been coming to Sosúa the proportion of haitianas has steadily risen from around 15% to around 50%. This trend will continue as many displaced by the earthquake are only now able to reach the DR. Five years ago there was a group of Haitians hanging at Bar Central (between the Merengue Bar and Sosúa Life) and various stragglers on the streets and beach. Now they are everywhere and perhaps form the majority before 11.00pm. Haitianas used to be rare upstairs in Clasico's, so much so that they were sometimes reputed to have been banned; now they account for perhaps a third of the girls up there. (Suits me fine, I generally prefer them).

When you look at the cedula, do actual calculation. Girls do not know how to calculate, and have got no idea with respect to local P4P laws.

I don't understand your point here. If they have a valid cedula, then they are over 18. No calculation required though you might want to check the cedula is valid and that it is really hers (sometimes difficult).

Just got back from Sosua and for the second time around I had a fantastic time. This little gem has everything and more for me personally. I used to frequent Rio for many years, but since Help is gone I don't feel it anymore. Had a great time with both Haitians and Dominicans alike. I am of the opinion also that the stunners are just that and lack enthusiasm that the more tame looking fems have. I hit 7 and never had bad experience with even one. I don't care to haggle too much with the girls, so this may have contributed to the total satisfaction of my trip. But still kept the range between DR1500. 00 and DR3000. 00. But this is one place I like to see remain our hidden little secret and not let it blow out of proportion like Rio. Will be heading back in April I liked it so much for my third time this year.

The only "new road" I know of is the one that goes from Santo Domingo este to Samana. If this is the road you are talking about you would be much better off flying into Santiago to get to Sosua. The new road is about 1.5 hours to Nagua and at least another hour or more to get to Sosua.

We had a terrific dinner last night
Mero and a Spanish/Cuban specialty. Huge portions and excellent rice, yucca, plantains, etc.. They have nightly specials--Wed. is Paella. Service was great. The new manager, and good friend Kevin, has given S+S a big boost.

Haitian ID's, passports, carnets and/or registrars de nacimiento , whatever - local DR laws apply. There are girls who produce the above and try to proposition and convince you, that is when it is not enough to take a glance blindly but do a math.

Do me a favor the next time you go to DR ask any other monger where they are from and the majority of them will tell you they are from New York. I remember back in 2002 hardly seeing Americans in Sosua and my last trip to DR which was about 2 years/ 3 months is was flooded with American-Mongers in Classicos compared to what I saw in High Caribe back in 2002 which was the old Classicos at the time. DR is so easy to get to from the US compared to flying down to Brasil.

On the contrary, this is like a commercial for the DR.

I'm not much of a consumer of pornography, finding most of it stylized and boring, but these clips at least give some semblance of real sex and real girls having sex with real men (and women). This is closer to sex as I know and experience it than 99% of what you can see on YouPorn.

The term "amateur" is used rather loosely, though, in the titles of the videos.

Try flying two hours, waiting at MIA 3 more hours just to fly two more hours :( Instead of complaining I guess I could just move to the East Coast, but yall's tax structure is all fucked up. Plus (for right now) everything is bigger and better (and boring) in Texas :)

The one advantage happens to be that no matter how many of you Jersey, NY, D.C., Bostonians, etc. show up at any given time the women always outnumber the men by at least 3-1. But I am guessing that once English becomes the official language of Sosua the place is finished (like San Jose, Costa Rica).

Now, all the guys start rolling in with gold chains, drinking Hennesy and Grey Goose, tossing money in the VIP and going back home after a weekend of "how we roll", then another group comes the next week.... its all the same to the chicas, just money! It's ruined. The big time drug dealers and pimps have run out the old guard there. I've been all but 2 months in the last 14. They know the NYC (East Coast represent crowd) is there throwing stupid money around. It's drawn even worse people and worse scene. I've never seen such well dressed locals, despite having NO JOB.

The girls like them because as a rule, they cum fast and it's over and they pay $100 US commonly. Some of them actually believe that they get preferential treatment by paying more. I know one of my regulars got $500US for New Years night. (Thanks by the way)

There's almost as many local Dominicano's as Dominicana's. Time for the "old bulls" to move somewhere else, set up camp and shut the fuck up about where we are and what we're doing.

I don't know what's up with everyone wanting VIP in Classicos. The best way to meet chicas in there is right down on the floor as their asses rub against your "piece" as they pass by :). Most of the time they will stop and dance on you. Can't do this huddled around a bunch of other horny guys in the (so, called) VIP. There was this one guy hunting down my friend all week just so that my friend could introduce him to the guy that does the VIP reservations at the club. Same guy had been in Sosua since Monday and had only found out about Classicos that Friday! My friend was like, "what the hell have you been doing all week?" Turns out that the knuckle-head and his crew had no idea what was going on in Sosua and they just literally showed-up. Didn't speak a lick of Spanish either. They had just been hanging around their hotel drinking and "going to the beach."

The point is, to do what we do you pretty much have to be an intelligent mofo to pull this off correctly. If people choose not to do their research or learn the language then they remain lost. Most guys I talk to don't even know the prices, which is why they pay 3000-3500 for ST and why the chicas love them so much!

Advice for guys (like me) who want to avoid the "make it rain" crowd and don't have the time or option of going elsewhere:

Get a cell phone. Hang around the Pedro Clisante just long enough to collect phone numbers from potential chicas for later. Get enough just incase one of them are "ocupado" when you call. When you are ready to do the deed, call her up.

When I ask for numbers I always give the chica time around when I plan to call her. I may say "I'll call you at 3pm tomorrow" and then call at 1:30 the following day just to make sure she is still coming at 3. This was my primary method used when I was there two weeks ago. I still went to Classicos at night, but by then I was all tired out from banging chicas all day. I would stay no longer than 1:30-2am in Classicos. My friend likes to stay longer as he believes the price comes down the longer you stay. This may be true, but the one night I stayed with him until 3:30 I noticed the quality of chicas also goes down. In fact my worst lay the entire trip was from a girl I met that night at 3ami-ish. Two nights I did not go to Classicos (yep, I even skipped going Saturday night) because I had already arranged for a chica from the day before to come spend the night.

Try this method out and pretty soon you won't ever have to step foot in Classico's (often, still go just to see the line-up though) and will be able to avoid the "weekend ballers" altogether.

I like these guys because they usually sleep late and show up late. I am an early bird. And if I happened to miss the best looking chica in Sosua because I went to bed early then she simply doesn't exist to me. That is until I run into her, of course :D

The game is to be sold, not to be told. I have friends who won't even come read the forums. I leave them back home too...

Pana, I have been reading your posts here and on other boards for a few years and you always know what you are talking about. Sosua is by no means a "secret".

Once the word spread you will be lucky to be able to take a picture of a chica fully clothed............ Guess I am old fashioned but I believe in privacy. Anybody that thinks Sosua was ever a great monger location hasn't done themselves justice and gotten up off their ass and traveled to other locations. In its heydey Sosua couldn't compare to most ofo the top locations in South America. The only things Sosua has going for it is overall price and location for east coasters like myself. That being said, from a price perspective I would rather travel to South America every two months than go to Sosua every month without a doubt, the only reason I still travel to the DR is I have friends that insist on going there and other friends that live there. And it is in fact a close convenient trip, but I sure as hell don't go to "So-sewer" anymore, I'll leave that for the baggy panted, crooked hatted, wife beater wearing thugs.

LMAO, now that shit is funny. But TRUEI agree 100% but IMHO this is how I think it works. The Germans are usually first on the spot, being they choose to explore and not monger with others. Then the Italians and Americans find out about the germans hidden paradise. The Germans then say damn and move on to another spot leaving the americans and italians. The older Americans usually lock down(support financially)the younger chicas. Puerto plata is a good example of this. I know alot of older Americans that will not go near sosua, but will chill with their Dominicana in Puerto plata, playing house.

Then here comes the younger Americans with their swagger. Pants hanging low, Ny hat sideways, fake jewelry, and a fat roll of 1 dollar bills. I'm not knocking it thats their thing, I'm sure our parents looked at us sideways because of shit we did. Girls that bang these dudes want quantity(money) over quality, so I'm not offended. When these guys come eveyrone throws up their hands and cries foul. But you can't end the game and take your ball. All they do is clear out the street trolls, its like a catfish in an aquarium. I'll share my spot because in the end it's all entertainment.

Texas and Sosua are similar in that they are both polluted, the water and the air, caused by a lack of government regulation. I read somewhere that Texas is one of the most polluted states in the Country. No fun when all that pollution causes illness. I am more than happy to pay high taxes to live in a clean, corruption free place.
Texas is a huge place my friend. Pin point an exact location because it's very spread out here. If we have any place similar to Sosua that is "corrupt" or the water is filthy then it must be some bum-fuck town I've never heard of. Or maybe some border town like Laredo?

I would've never guessed Texas as being "corrupt" or "polluted"; not with all the out of state license plates with the moving trailers hitched to them rolling into town daily. I just assumed they all are coming here for the low taxes and low unemployment.

But I've lived here all my life so maybe I'm just biased :)

Oh, we don't care too much for words like "government regulation" down here because we see how well they've worked in other states and cities like Detroit, NYC, California, Atlanta, Ohio...

Out of the three of these lists, a Texas city only appears twice (and only in one list): http://www.citymayors.com/environment/polluted_uscities.html. This is a report from the American Lung Association btw.

"The Lone Star state (Texas for all of us non-US citizens) produces more greenhouse gas emissions than many countries, including the UK! According to the US Energy Information Administration, Texas released ... making it the seventh biggest polluter in the world, producing more than the second ranked state, California and third ranked state Pennsylvania put together."

http://ethicalforlife.********.com/2008/01/texas-tops-most-polluting-state-list-in.html

There is no governmental regulation of vehicle emissions in the Dom Rep, maybe you don't mind breathing those fumes from the motoconchos as they drive by you in Sosua or breathing the thick black smoke from the large trucks on the roads in DR. (Many sdq chicas are always sick with the gripe, cold like symptoms, when I stay in sdq for an extended trip I always get a nasty cold and cough, I suspect it is from the air pollution). DR is a dream location for people who don't like government regulation and personal taxes. No tax money to pay the police well, what is the result? Corrupt police.

Just next door is Haiti, another paradise for non-regulation, no building codes. Chile had a big earthquake with much less loss of life, because the Chilean government regulates and enforces building codes. Oh well, those poor Haitians with no arms and no legs after the quake, at least they can be happy living in a country with no taxes and no government regulation.

A Dominican Judge in the Dominican Republic. Do you really think some Dominican Judge will be fair and impartial, when some foreigners are trying to make some money from pornography off of some Dominican chica.

Would I want to sit in some Dominican jail while some Dominican judge decides if the consent form is valid? No. Did the chicas have a Dominican lawyer with them when they signed the consent form? It is not the United States where you have well established contract law.

I wouldn't do it, Dominican officials just need an excuse to try and extract money from foreigners. I can see the would be pornographers getting arrested and raked over the coals (they will have to pay for a Dominican lawyer and that will lawyer will milk them).

Double that for us guys in Cali. We are forced to layover in MIA either the trip out, or the trip back (one night hotel cost). The easiest trip was a 6am flight to MIA IF you were lucky enough to get an acceptable price for that direct flight to MIA at a decent price. Start to end travel time from Cali to Puerto Plata was 14 hours and 4-$500 airfare + hotel

I did this until I learned of other flights like the non-stop from Dallas Fort Worth to Puerto Plata. Flight prices were the same but travel time was decreased by 3 hours.

Easy access to DR from the East Coast is a major calling card for rep dom. I can walk out of my house at 5:30am and be drinking a Presidente at a colmado at high noon the same day. R/T airfare with taxes and fees usually around $400 USD.

Double that for us guys in Cali. We are forced to layover in MIA either the trip out, or the trip back (one night hotel cost). I did this until I learned of other flights like the non-stop from Dallas Fort Worth to Puerto Plata. Flight prices were the same but travel time was decreased by 3 hours.
Actually, Delta has a better schedule to POP through ATL than AA does through DFW and Miami. My last trip I took a redeye from San Diego to ATL, and a morning flight into POP. Coming back, the whole thing is doable in one day leaving POP in the early afternoon. Total flight time is around 8 hours, plus around 2 hours of layovers.

But it still can't touch the non-stops that the New Yorkers get from JFK to POP for around $300-350 on Jet Blue.

I book my flight on May 3rd and I won’t touchdown in DR till May 4th. And what makes it worse is that I have a 6 hr layover in Miami. Total cost $550.00 dollars :(

If you leave on a Tues or Wed, you were able to get the ticket for $69 each way. So I got $69 oneway $134 coming back, plus I got the extra legroom seats. I aslo had $180 credit, so we wound up paying $296.00 round trip each person.

Would like to step aside from the Sosua-bashing for the moment and remember what's still good about the place.

I would like to start off by saying a proud "Fuck-You" to whomever it was that suggested trying Haitians out. It happens to be one of the ONLY reasons I really want to come back to the place! I am now, hence forth, and forever more addicted to their "candy" (or voodoo?).

For those of you who say "if you want Haitians then go to Haiti" then PM a brotha and give me the 411! But I do believe that some of Haiti's best of the best have turned up in Sosua. I saw some real beauties. Bodies like they were chiseled from stone. You would think there were none from what they show you on TV.

I was with 3 Haitian chicas while in Sosua earlier this month and every session was awesome! I repeated with two of the three (couldn't squeeze the third one in before leaving) and the next session was even better than the first. Plus they were all on time for our appointments. All three happened to be more GFE than any Dominicana I was with (except one Dominican babe I met Friday night who remained with me the rest of my trip). Why is that?

Daay-um!
Would love to see a full-frontal of ht1.
For a Haitiana, she seems to have been eating pretty well!

Gracias por compartir/thanks for sharing.

This was my 4th trip back to the northen coast of the DR this year and again I must say thanks to the people of this forum for all the helpful information. During my 5 day trip (3 days on business) I was in Sosua 3 days made visits to Cabarete, I was in Puerto Plata 2 days at playa Dorado and Costambar.

Arrived in POP on a Delta flight that begin in KCMO in and out to the car rental counter in less than 10 min. I never check bags to the DR.

My girl was not working the Budget counter so the guy wasnt going to give me my same deal of a small suv with all insurance for under $350US for 5 days but Alamo and Avis said they would. I went with Alamo. Now on to my villa in Sosua. 1st night spent at the villa with 5 girls from my scuba club located in Cabarete most from Norway. 1st photo is lunch time after Sosua Bay dive very early. 2nd photo is a cute non-pro I found in Sosua at the supermarket. 3rd photo is Babe, Sosua chica 3000 TLN and worth it. 4th photo on another page and would not fit is a semi-pro from Sosua all day anything goes. I never made it to Classico's yet and this was my 4th trip but WTF no lost.

I have had Norway and Domimican 8s and 9s on this trip so it was all good. Last photo has been added on another page and would'nt fit with this report is Lindsly she is Slovakian 6'1 and sexy with a come fuck me ass, found her at the beach in Cabarete. Wanted 150US did I pay?. Now on to Puerto Plata forum to file my trip report.

This question is for those who have been during the months of June-August. Since "school's out for summer" during these months has anyone noticed the talent go up due to maybe more University girls in town?

I am starting my research for my next mongering destination (have SXM, CUR, & TJ scheduled for this summer). Usually head to Miami over Christmas due to distance, weather, price, and nightlife on Christmas Eve and day. Would like to try something different and am looking @ The DR.

What's Sousa like Christmas Eve and Christmas night? Are the ladies working? I checked out the board for last December/January and found no info about these days. Anybody know what I should expect from personal experience?

Thanks!

I've probably been down 3 or 4 times in the past 5 years during that time period. I found the selection slightly above average in Sosua and POP. Alot of people shy away due to the warmer temps, but it doesn't really bother me.

The few young ladies I was with that identified themselves as college students, I met in POP. Many seemed to be working the all inclusive crowd, as they had been tagged up with the neon bracelets from previous encounters.

They initially asked for $100 or more U.S. for short time, and then after a short conversation realized I wasn't that kind of tourist. We negotiated to 1000-1300 DR for st.

On Christmas eve the young ladies hang up their stockings and hope that Santa will stuff them with hot sausage and other goodies. Some girls will be spending time with their families, but rest assured that while there is one monger available with money burning a hole in his pocket, there will always be one of Santa's elves willing to reward him as long as he has not been naughty this year.

Remember Christmas Eve is the most family celebrated holiday in the DR. Most bars are shut down all day Christmas Eve. Hopefully someone who has actually spent Christmas Eve and Christmas in Sosua will post. Personally I avoid rep dom Christmas week and Semana Santa. These are the two slowest weeks for chicas.

Clarisa is about 5'9'', modelo like, hot looking, and hot sex. She claims to just have returned after having a baby in SDQ(baby true). I banged her every day for 2 weeks in the day. But I warned her to never approach me at night, when I'm with my novia. Friday night, she approaches me and demands money. I emphatically say no and send her away. I tell my novia that she is from my past. Anyway, I'm watching the NBA at Latino's. She continues to walk by. Then my novia sees her pimp, drugo? hurting her, demanding money! Then they leave, with Clarisa crying! I avoided her for the weekend, then departed to the USA early Monday. Clarisa is beautiful, well spoken, and with great social skills. I never dreamed that she had drugo pimp! But, she always was asking for more money! Beware!

Reminds me of a crazy story in Latinos night club. I'm on the dance floor dancing with my date to B. When blowjob Mary(previous report) is standing behind us rubbing her two fingers together(money) and she is pregnant(very big). I'm giving her a look like"trick you better not''.

Well this trick comes up says my sosua name and asks for 200pesos. I flat out say no, while my date asks "who is this". BJ Mary then drops to her knees on the dance floor and yells out my name repeatedly. I'm looking very stupid as the dj stops the music putting this situation in the spotlight. My supposedly date steps away as I look around for sympathy. No sympathy here just looks of hate. I said fuck this and went to classicos, it seems every girl was pointing at me whispering(paranoid I know). Anyway it fucked my trip up because she got me good.

That is totally fucked up, lol!

The one gripe I have about Sosua is the way some of the chicas you've sessioned with before will "position" themselves around you after you've sessioned once or twice with them as if to make it seem that you are obligated to go another round with them again. The chica in the yellow top (see photo in my post about a page back) was there literally everytime I looked up (we did it twice, lol). She would be with one of her friends and would always be diagonal to me and in close proximity when I would hang out during the day or early evening at Merengue. She even took it upon herself to give me a phone call out of the blue! I inturn told her "estoy ocupado" and told her "adios". I'm thinking "I know how to get I contact with your ass if I want sum. Your not really making it all that hard to begin with!"

I even saw a chica I had back in '08 who was pulling the same shit. I was only with her once, and I was surprised she even still recognized me since I hadn't been back to Sosua since March '09 (I met her Dec. 08 and did not see her around on my '09 trip). I did my very best not to make eye contact with her, but I could sense that she staring a hole into the side of my head. I alerted my wingman to what was going on and we moved to the back of Merengue and sat at one of the small tables off the the side. Guess who follows and posts up to the far left of me not even 3 minutes later? Good thing I had my hat on with the brim tilted low over the eyes. Why would I want to go for another terrible session again (and she WAS terrible)?

I know these girls are all about the pesos, but damn! And don't even get me started on the time Psycho Bytch "A" got all "psycho" when Psycho Bytch "B" walks over and starts talking to me while I am sitting with said Psycho Bytch ("A").

But don't lie, we love the attention. It's the one thing that keeps us coming back for more :)

Although admittedly Mr. Gogo, if I would have received the same "attention" you received that night I probably would have just gone back to my hotel room and went to sleep, lol

I arrived in Sosua Christmas Eve past. There were more chicas out than I would have expected. I found out when I hooked up with my regular that Christmas Eve is a drinking/partying night if you are Dominican. We shut down El Flow bar at 5 AM and there were numerous skirmishes and incidents in the street due to the excessive drinking. I can't recall a night like that in all my trips to Sosua but it was a night to remember, maybe one of my best nights ever in Sosua as the atmoshpere was festive to say the least. New Year's eve is a different story, as many chicas are with their families, but if you hang out late enough, they will eventually show up. One thing that amazes me about Sosua is how the chicas completely disregard time and will come out of the woodwork at 2 or 3 AM. I've learned that if you turn in early you are missing out on some of the girls who come out late.
Sorry, I can't recall what Christmas day/night was like as I was running on fumes from travel day with little sleep to an all nighter Christmas eve. I'm thinking it would be a slower day than normal.

You have to have eye discipline and a poker face at times in Classicos. Certain chicas will take any gesture you make as an invitation for them to come over and try to attach themselves to you. You have to try to avoid eye contact and smiling at some of them.

If you want proper Fish n chips try the British Bulldog on the beach about 1/2 way down, or go to the Britannia Pub on Pedro Clisante.

If you want a whole fried fish, The Black Box has fresh food and English speaking help, that is a ways down, on the beach, almost in Charamicos.
Take a Moto to the Charamicos end of the beach if you are lazy, RD 25 Pesos!

If you want excellent BBQ Ribs and beer can chicken, try "Big D's" on the beach and tell Derrick, Buscemi says hi from Athens, GA.

Hey guys,

Im coming to Sosua tomor I was there for a few months last year.
If there are any down-to-earth laid back easygoing guys who would be interested to hook up for some banter, a beer, or winging between the usual activities, drop me a line.

I will PM my mobile number as soon as I recharge my SIM. I don't know if I'd need to buy a new SIM though since it's been about a year since last use.
Anyway,

All the best

Thanks in advance!Best piece of fish I have ever eaten was at some beach side barbecue shack in Samana. Freshly caught Miro (grouper), the guy gutted and cleaned it right there and then put it on the BBQ spit. The place was nothing to look at (very basic place, no running fresh water).

If you travel to a quiet beach in DR and you see a no frills beach BBQ place, it might be worth it, to try a piece of fish there.

An update for all the hardened mongers out there, and also any naive newbies who may be wondering if its worth getting "suckered" with a regular relationship.

Got back from Sosua after a Holy Week (Easter) visit to my regular (see previous report as to how I got "suckered")

The script went as expected (as always). She's calling my name from the small airport bar, looking beautiful and holding up two Presidentes. This time I brought a brought a buddy down for his first time and he's smiling already with a beer in his hand.

The bartender recognizes me, a big welcome, and he won't take money for the beer. A couple beers and her cab is waiting. Another big welcome from the now familiar driver and we are on the road to Sosua, very happy.

Drop off the bags at the hotel and straight down to one of my two bars on the main drag. Another big welcome from the staff and before my buddy can sit down one of the bartenders has him on the dance floor. A few beers and a little dancing then on to my fave bar, where (yep) we get another big welcome home. Chicas everywhere and some of her family show up to join the party. As usual when I arrive I give her my wallet, so I don't have to worry about the checks or the tips. (She always spends my money far more carefully than I do). She's scout, escort, interpreter, negotiator, wife and lover all rolled into one. More importantly, after a year long relationship, she's happy, knows the score, and wants me to be happy.

My buddy, who has travelled a lot at the high end, has hardly been outside an all inclusive, so this is all new to him, and he can't believe it. Now he sees why I always come back from Sosua with a smile on my face. We are parked at the corner bar and there's cold beer, musica and pretty girls everywhere. For a married guy who is already partial to darker meat, paradise indeed.

He's fussy anyway, and I've clued him in to the GAME, so the first night he's content to drink and just look until he sees that "special" one. Oh Oh!

But what a welcome for two guys from the cold north.

More later.

But what a welcome for two guys from the cold north.

More later.

But they know if they don't come I have many other options. My advise to you is if this is "the one"take sosua out of the question. Make her think you hate sosua and don't want to go there anymore. Spend time with her alone(no family)at other places. She will respect you more for this. Then you go to sosua when you want to freelance. One of my puerto plata girls knows me so well that she hunts me down in sosua being she knows my spots. She knows when my DR phone is on to look there. But good luck with the family, once they know your face it limits your options, thats why I never meet family. Your not a sucker if your happy, good luck.

Maybe someone can answer this but how do them chicas know when your phone is on. When I land in the DR I turn my phone on while still in the plane and add minutes. By the time I go thru customs, grab a rental car and head to the hotel my phone has either rung or I received a text message.

How do these chicas know your phone is on? Just happened too many times to be a coincidence.

I avoid it for the most part now because I got a second SIM card. I now have the original one with Orange and a second, backup one with Claro. I just switch them back and forth for when I do and do not want to be bothered. The chicas only get the Orange number. If they have had access to your phone they can set reminders. Send message on start up to their phones.

Or they have a list of numbers they call every day to see if service is on.

...my regulars outside of sosua hate sosua and beg me not to go there. But they know if they don't come I have many other options.
I would like some advice also, especially from those who have "juggled" regulars and freelancing sucessfully.

Setup:
Last month I met a chica who ended up staying with me the last two nights of my stay. I'm saying to myself that I must have really liked her because I rarely do TLN, especially with the same chica. But she was cool as hell and spoke very good English. On Sunday I asked her for (fully clothed) photos and she refused. She asked me for my email and I refused. I instead asks her for her email and she refused (signaling that we both understood how the "game" is played). Even still we parted on a very very good note and I stayed with her until she hopped a moto. Before she left she asked me to call her sometime since I have her cell phone number. To be honest I was smitten not only by her looks but her personality as well and was definitely looking foward to being with her next trip (determining that she has "regular" potential).

Flash foward to yesterday: Now that I am returning to Sosua in May I decided to give her a call via SKYPE. Keep in mind that this is the only way we have to contact one another and I hadn't spoken to her since March. It took her a minute to remember who I was (I wonder why, lol) but once she remembered who I was she got excited that I had called and that I will be back next month (because the money train is pulling into town, of course). I kept the convo brief and told her I will call her this Sunday again.

Problem:
Even though I will want to see her again I definitely don't want to be with her 24/7. I still need :) to visit Classicos and hang out on the main drag. Last trip I made it a point to only see her at night, but I did not expect for things to go as well as they did our last night together. I know that the very first time I ask her to come over during the day she is going to want to know why she can't come over EVERY DAY (and every night).

Another issue is that she told me she lives in Santo Domingo (I think all the girls say that), but if this is not the case then it becomes a problem because that means she will already be in Sosua when I arrive.

So:
Any advice on how to pull this off while still getting in all the freelance stuff as well based on what some of you may have done in the past? Honestly I do not have a problem devoting my last two or three days in town to her, but I still need to "handle my business" with the freelancers the days prior to that, lol.

Should I also just go ahead and give her my email (knowing what "that" will eventually lead to)?

Thanks in advance to those who respond. Not interested in the "Iceberg Slim" type approach to this; just want to hear from those who can pull this off without hurting the other persons feelings.

The only other thing is that I haven't given her the exact dates of my trip (if that helps me any)...

I would like some advice also, especially from those who have "juggled" regulars and freelancing sucessfully. .......

I am always honest and just say I can't see you tonight, maybe tomorrow. It should not be a problem for you. You will be with someone else that night and she probably will be also. As long as you still have some pesos in your wallet she will return the next night.

I would like some advice also, especially from those who have "juggled" regulars and freelancing sucessfully. One excuse I use is that I have to show some friends around. That my friends are new to DR and I am just being a good friend, by showing them around in DR. Sometimes I will introduce the chica to a male friend or put a male friend on the phone with her (so she believes I am not with another chica). Other times, when a chica doesn't know me well, I will say that I have to travel to another city in DR for a business meeting. When I don't answer my cell; the battery was dead, or I was driving in my car, or there was no service, lo siento (sorry).

You should try to find out if that chica will be in Sosua, when you are there. You can float the idea that you may visit Santo Domingo in May and see how she responds. You can say you are busy with different business dealings and that it is difficult to have exact travel dates.

If the chica is living in Sosua, then you will have to be slick, to not run into her. If she finds you, tell her, her phone number was in your cell and the cell stopped working and you didn't have her number, to call her, (perdoname=pardon me). Most of the times a lame excuse is good enough to keep them from going nuts.

Some sweet words, when she catches you, te amo= I love you, (taay amm oo) or te quiero=I want you (tay kee air ooo). You can always end every second sentence with amor or corazon. Es no mi culpa, amor. (its not my fault).

Words don't cost a thing, so saying BS is free.

Hi folks:

Thanks for the valuable info I have found here over the last couple years.

I want to relate my own experience. Arming myself wirh all the alerts and warnings from this group, I took my first trip. I'm an older single guy and wanted to connect with a different world..........................
If it was a game, it was the best scripted hollywood movie ever. I found she had told me the truth about her and her family from the very start.

Yes guys, I now go back regularly and in between send her a few bucks by Western Union. so maybe most of you will say I've been suckered, right from the first night, the get go, but hey, the pleasure I get from this girl is amazing. I've been married and have girl friends at home, but in terms of consideration she tops them all, reliable, trustworthy, I give her my wallet because she complains I spend too much, buying her friends drinks and such.

No issues, never a problem and she ignores all other men while I am with her.

I told my pals back home it wasn't realistic, and when I went back I tried to look for faults, with a cynical view, but each trip (5) has been as good as the last one. Since then I've been to SD to meet even more family and between her and her family I've never felt safer, even when I've often been the only white guy in a bar for a hundred miles, playing pool with her brother and her uncle. A bottle of scotch and a perfume here and there, and something for all the kids, is a small price to pay for paradise

What's wrong with this picture, guys?To each his own. More power to you and be safe.

Its very hard to do in the same spot. Also you have to be alittle unpredictable. There are places in sosua if I don't want to be found I can go. The bar across from Rockies I never take a regular to. Its off the beaten path and well hidden. I never say when I'm coming just say "very soon. I usually take a day in sosua to freelance then fallback to the regulars.

Also give the regulars 24-48hours of your time. It makes them feel special.

Regulars also will try to make you bareback, this to them is a sign of commitment. But it can also be a baby trap, be carefull. Last but not least, if you only visit every six months, it may be tough to seriously call a girl a regular because she doesn't see you often enough, but she will smile and play the game.

Yeah, that makes sense. I'll use the term "favorita" then :)

1. You just tell her you are coming in for a couple of days and tell her you last couple of days

2. Tell her up front you want to see her but also want to go out with the boys and plan days you will see her. You have a phone to call her for any late night calls if you want on those nights

3. Start conversation about really having fun this time and ask her if she has ever had a happy hour. DR term for threesome. If she says yes go out picking up girls together. This would be my choice.

late report sorry guys but my dick still hurts wtf!

so i get to sosua for some golf an pussy. golf was expensive and the courses were not in good condition. playa grande and playa dorado both had crappy greens and the bunkers were not even raked once this whole week. i mean how expensive is labor out there these days. i will be back for the pussy but not the golf. plus the rental clubs were worse then i could of imagined. why charge 25$ for rentals when could buy a set used in better condition. on top of that they want you to tip everyone. whatever on with the pussy reports.

so i get there on thurs and and trying out the presidente buzz. it was as good as i had hoped. nice little buzz going as i am known to get my drink on. drinking there in sosua with my bro. people trying to sell us cd's and pussy. so this little hottie comes along with just a t-shirt an a thong on. she looked good so i gave her a facial. pic included. it was early so i talked her into 1500 but as soon as i took pics she wanted 2000. pic included she is holding up 2 fingers lol. when i agreed she started posing like nobodys business. it was funny she was soooo happy to get that extra 500. so then she sucks and fucks and says "for another 500 you can cum on my face" pic included. so i agree and that was that. fun girl with nice tight body. drove up in a suv from one of the bigger cities. she keep pointing to her car when i was drinking but i didn't really care. she had me in the right mind frame an i was ready to bust my first nut in sosua. never saw her after that.

later that night i had a threesome. just worked out that way. i was pretty hammered and grabbed a girl on her way to ng. she had already passed me and i like her look from the backside. so i yelled at her and she walked with me back to the bars (close to classico's). its like 10pm. again i was getting my drink on and her friend showed up and when we left she followed us. she was hoping to meet my friend. but both girls came up to me place. would not repeat. her friend was a little heavy and i don't really go for 3somes. anyways they both bbbj and sucked balls and ass so it was cool. i have had less then a handful of those so i gave her $40 usa and kicked her friend out. tln the hotter one for the night. fucked at night and then bbbj in the am. had to go in for the assist in the am. she licked my balls as i stood over her and came on her chin and tits.

friday was 1500 bbbj at passions. i loved passions. i got a bbbj there everyday almost. they never even mentioned the word condom or even tried to upsell me for the fuck which i think was 2000 or 2500. the girls were very friendly and they have take out where you pay the bar and everything is included. the later it gets the less the takeout is. at 1opm most the hotties are getting taken out. i mean there are like 10 girls all leaving at the same time. i did it twice. it was a overpaying situation since it was 3500 which is around 100usa. but whatever it felt right an i did it twice. again there were many doing the same and i wasn't there to save my money. so anyways yeah passion was on point. it did not disappoint. plus they had rooms for all occasions. like 8 different rooms. jacuzzi room maybe a safari room, a gangbang room. all clean an good to go with ac. friday night with passion girlfor tln we went to classico's upstairs to dance. checked in early since golf in the am. not going to waste my time about playa grande golf close to samana. they are going to rebuild soon and didn't spend much to upkeep it. so not worth playing in my opinion. views were exceptional. as good as the carribean has to offer.

sat golf an then passions after a rest. took the hottest girl in classico's. she wanted $100 an i said cool. i was doing all the freak dances with the hottest girl in the club. can't get that done in san diego lol. shit its hard to get girls to even dance with the guys nowdays. its all girls dancing with girls now. even at weddings. god help the usa! here at classico's i am dirtydancing an grinding with my f'in tongue out like i am a bad mamma jamma. i am known to get down at the dr anyways lol. i took her back and fucked and sucked. she was down with toys etc. she was getting off real good. wanted to buy my toys too. lol. not once did any of the girls say condom blowjob. or please clean the dildo or vibrator. yes it was clean jeesh. it was really nice. should of took pics before i banged her. in the am she was not $100 material. lol but whatever i could careless. the time i had in classico's with a tshirt and jeans with running shoes. funny thing tho some dude walks up to me and says "try pulling that in the usa" i just laughed it off. its true and i didn't give a shit. but in the am like i said a little different story. it just all looked so fake. pics included. looks like fake lips and ass and maybe a tummy tuck. performance was there tho and super clean. smelling at least. mmmmmm

sunday playa dorado golf. better course but again the f'in sand traps where not maintained. but there is plenty of hired cheap labor sitting around. good grief. passions later for some bbbj. more classico's at night. hjot young shit too. a few times i had to adjust my game plan since the id's were just under 18. terra linda said no under 18 which is cool with me. that hotel rocks by the way.

lets just say there are tons of hotties out there. tl is awesome. great food too. clean hotel. worth every penny. 10 times better the ng. never spent the night in ng. stay on the 3rd floor as rec'd here. big king is the way to go. passions is a slam dunk. i will go back just to see the new renovation. looks like they were going to double the bar size where the girls entice you while drinking. golf sucked. food good again ate at tl. did i say free breakfast. everyone was real friendly. no pissed off dr guys. helpful motorscoote guys ready to take you to passions or where ever. maybe a tour. they are like just pay me whatever lets go. when i told them to slow down they aways did.

oh yeah i read here to get a haitian girl before i left. so i did. it as early an i told her 1500. she sucked real nice an licked ass. i milked her tits all over my knees and legs while she bbbj. that shit just happened. i didn't know she had milk. when i quit milking her tits she did it for me. felt good with that warm milk running down my legs and balls an ass while she went crazy with my cock an ass an balls in her mouth. fucking she was way too loud! hate that shit.

many hot chicks i did when i saw them later they had hotter friends at classicos. they were always suggesting happy hour "2 girls". so there are some crazy fine ass chicks ready an willing at the drop of a hat.

going to wrap it up here an see if i can post some pics before i crash out. again its been a few weeks so i have to wrap this report up before i forget.

std side of things. i been burning while i [CodeWord134] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord134) since the 24th or so. went to doc for azithromycin. he told me to take all 3 at once. the pharmacist said its unusual and to take 1 every 24 hours. so symptoms still there. doc gave me more azith with some other pills. [CodeWord134] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord134) was stinky and a little discharge. little blood shortly after he put the qtip down my [CodeWord134] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord134) hole. that shit hurt. maybe it caused the bleeding?! now its all just a little burn. no blood but still it burns. taking friends cipro 1000 mg twice a day. going to eat this shit till all symtoms go away.

so i was using rubbers with baby oil. that doesn't not work. i always put baby oil on some tinted ass. i broke like 5 condoms. i finally figured it out. no more baby oil for me. none of the girls smelled. not sure who gave me what. i tested neg for cylm and gonn. what gives?

ok done sharing. i said i would compare to tijuana. ok here it goes. i like the tln option. i mean i loved it. i never tried that in tijuana. i have spent the night 2 or 3 times in tijuana. just don't feel that safe about it. plus i think the girls would cost way more. here 100 us gets you the best in the bar the second you say it a deal. they usually aren't even taken. the guys there don't want to pay it and the girls don't want to settle for less if you know what i mean. no mention of condoms for bj's. toys were welcomed. they all came many times. lol they seem really comfortable with themselves. some cumming 3-4 times in 5 min. spoke really good english but didn't look they had a ton of miles on them. i mean nobody was over 24 an i had plenty. tijuana's hong kong in dr would of been nice. but i didn't get around to all the other places. i asked so i really doubt there was a hong kong type stripper bar. you have to go to know! to hk that is.

it was so damn safe and the girls were soo gung ho i would say i would rather spend my time in dr. if i just wanted to chill in a tit bar then hk in tijuana.

have to go i am beat and still have pics to post. going to have to post pic tomorrow its after midnight. sorry! facial is awesome. lol

We've settled into a sort of routine, she goes back to her local relatives during the day, laudry, bambina and stuff, and I'm free for a few hours. At my age that's plenty for me. Got to be careful though, when you've been down there a few times everybody incuding her knows what you're doing and where, so be prepared to give her Jaosousa's "sweet words" (in his post below).

Rest of Holy Week

First day at the all inclusive, another big welcome from the morning and evening waiters. One guy actually went out to the supermarket and had a special fish dinner cooked for us.

Friendly? I'll say! but nobody's kidding anybody - all this great stuff is simply what SavePros 321 said it is "because the money train is pulling into town, of course".

Town is quiet during the days, few chicas - all the Domincans are in town and all seem to be on the beach. We go down to the family stall where they are bar-b-queing nd selling whole dorado, chicken, pork and cold beer. Best food I ever ate.

My buddy has acquired a hanger on, but he's not interested, and too polite to tell her to vamose. After a while my girl gives her 200 pesos and she's gone.

Then later he sees "the one"! beautiful and built like a brick shithouse as they say. He's done like dinner, holding hands and all. My girl doesn't approve, but she's cool.

End of the day he want's to bring her back to the hotel, but she has no ID (oh oh) She looks 22 though, so I drop them off at a hotel where I know the owner.

Apparently her phone never stopped ringing while they were doing the deed, and when she answered he could hear a guys voice on the other end. He's pissed, but I tell him "welcome to Sosua". He doesn't give up though, she promises to bring ID next day.

Next day we meet at the bar, but she's drunk or high and no ID. He's pissed but still crazy about that dream body and wants more, and we can't persuade him to cut his losses, and move on. My girl gets the lowdown and it turns out her regular novio was in town and he had her ID (my girl even knew where they were staying).

Rest of the week spent drinking and checking out the action, but he's not seriously interested in any other chicas, since his dream plan (dream girl in his hotel room for a few lazy days) fell through. We bring the family kids into the hotel for a day around the beach and the pool and the food and it was good to see them have a good time.

We all had a great time though and he wants to go back, next time he'll listen to my girl. Leaving was a sad occasion as usual.

The moral of the story, at least for me, is to spend your hard earned money around in a small circle, with nice people you will be seeing again and again. Its an investment in happy welcomes. Money spent on strangers only gives a very short term return.

IT'S NO BETTER IN HOUSTON, LOL!!!

The last time I went to a dance club here was on Valentines Day. I figured there would be a good number of single women looking to hook up; boy was I wrong. It was just me and a bunch of other dudes standing around, drink in hand, watching all the women af their friends dance with one another. After getting shot down twice I said fuck it and left. Never again, lol!

As far as your STD goes it's a good thing it happened after your trip because it would have sucked to get one during your stay and be put out of commission.

Lube and Condom Recommendation:

-Trojan Supra: No smell, non-latex, very good heat transfer. They are very tough to break. I have only had one break on me only once. If you hear chicas saying they do not like American condoms it's because latex condoms stink and break often.

-Lube: Wet (brand) Platinum. It is in a black bottle with red, white and grey lettering. All you need is a very small amount of it and you do not have to re-apply it so often during sessions.

Excellent report btw!

Can anyone comment on the rooms as far as the "quietness" of them? I was told that you can hear the doors opening and closing in the hallways outside your room. How thick are the walls (can you hear your neighbors music blaring at 2am)?

Is the pool area pretty quiet late at night as well?

I am a light sleeper, so being woken up throughout the night by slamming doors and loud mongerers is a buzz kill for me.

Thanks in advance! Especially would like to hear from other light sleepers who have stayed at Terra Linda...

Nah, that ish don't work these days. Today you'd more than likely get hit with a sexual harrassment charge for trying to pull something like that, lol. And it would be sexual assault if you actually grabbed her hand and led her to the dance floor.

STD side of things.Go to the US Government CDC site, they don't recommend Cipro for Gonorrhea. They recommend, Cefixime, (which you can buy in Dom Rep).

From the CDC website:

"Several antibiotics can successfully cure gonorrhea in adolescents and adults. However, drug-resistant strains of gonorrhea are increasing in many areas of the world, including the United States, and successful treatment of gonorrhea is becoming more difficult. Because many people with gonorrhea also have chlamydia, another STD, antibiotics for both infections are usually given together. Persons with gonorrhea should be tested for other STDs."

and:

"The only current CDC-recommended options for treating Neisseria gonorrhoeae infections are from a single class of antibiotics, the cephalosporins. Within this class, ceftriaxone, available only as an injection, is the recommended treatment for all types of gonorrhea infections (i.e., urogenital, rectal, and pharyngeal). The only oral agent recommended currently by CDC for treatment of uncomplicated urogenital or rectal gonorrhea is a single dose of cefixime 400 mg (1). Availability of cefixime had been limited since July 2002, when Wyeth Pharmaceuticals (Collegeville, Pennsylvania) discontinued manufacturing cefixime tablets in the United States (2). Beginning in April 2008, cefixime (Suprax®) 400 mg tablets are again available in the United States."

"Oral cefixime is now being provided by Lupin Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Baltimore, Maryland), which received Food and Drug Administration approval in February 2004 to manufacture and market cefixime. Lupin has been manufacturing and marketing cefixime oral suspension (100 mg/5 mL) since February 2004 and cefixime oral suspension (200 mg/5 mL) since April 2007. Public health pricing will be available for the 400 mg cefixime tablets."

For Chlamydia, usually Doxycycline, 200mg for 10-15 days.

Antibiotics can be easily purchased without a prescription at pharmacies in Dom Rep.

I use the KY brand massage oil and lubricant (works as a massage oil and a lubricant) and it says on the box it is safe to use with latex condoms. Many oils and lotions are not recommended to be used with condoms.

Etc but I ddnt see it as a problem. Only issue I had was the ac can get loud. Not sure if it was just mine in my room but when I had it on high it was kinda loud. All in all as far as hotels terra linda is the best value for 55 bux a night. Right near the action. Restaurant on deck. Nice size pool and clean rooms.

My 5th Trip to Sosua & BB’s
March 2010

I recently came back from a great week long trip to Sosua and Blackbeard’s. I went with my lady, I know I know why bring sand to the beach, Right? Well because I don’t have to cheat or fake anything my girl rolls with me on the pussy hunt. She appreciates another woman’s beauty like I do. We have been rolling for around two years. I meet other mongers and explain my situation to them and they tell me I am their hero. I tell them no, my girl is your hero. We have been with chicas that were with both of us, and some that just wanted to be with me. In those cases the girl stood by and watched or double teamed me. I guess I have it selfish cause my girl has no desire to be with another man (she has told me this). I don’t think I would like it. I am just being honest. Anyway the trip went very well.
Wednesday
Sosua
We left the East coast via American Airlines to Miami 1st class baby. You know I had to ask the stewardess if they had any “Grey poupon” he stated that yes indeed they did, I always wanted to say that. And yes I said stewardess and “he” dude was light in the loafers as they say. Arrived in Sosua on time our checked bags even made the trip this time. The last two times July 09 and Dec 09 our bags were delayed a day. We had our Taxi ride waiting for us, $20 to Sosua.
We checked into the New Garden Hotel ,new section, ground floor near the pool. We unpacked and put our things away and walked over to the Orange store to get an Orange sim card for my old Blackberry curve. I had kept my Orange sim card from my December trip and was given a new sim card and number. This was my third sim card from Orange since July 09. It cost me $200rd with 10 minutes on the card. So now I had my local phone for the local honies. I also had my T-mobile (Blackberry 9700) which works with wifi. This is great because I was getting all my emails and could make and receive calls home without roaming charges, I just had to have a wifi signal. New Garden had a wifi signal from my room.
We then walked over to a money changing shop behind the Orange store changed some cash got 36.25.
It was now dinner time we were going to Rockies but on the way the beautiful hostess from the Scotch and Sirloin convinced us to give them a try. She was fine, didn’t take much convincing. All I can say was that the meal was excellent, we were both happy with our meals. They even gave my girl a couple free shots of mamajuana. We asked for a doggy bag, the cook came out and asked if everything was okay we assured him it was. I would go back there again.
We then went back to the room and relaxed for awhile. The chica selection was not that great at the New Garden. I saw a lot of oldies. One real thin chick kept asking me if I wanted a massage. She was kind of cute with freckles. I was down for it but my girl thought the chica looked like an old friend of hers and it creeped her out. There was a group of guys that were staying at NG. They were partying non-stop, I wish I had their energy. I also called an old chica “Jennifer “ who we had known from our last trip. She said that she was sick and in Santiago and would call us the next day. We liked her she was a great performer and a very pretty lady.
We ended up walking down to Latino’s where we had a few drinks and just watched the peoples. We just talked to the bartender Yormina, big girl not fat though, blonde afro, nice and thick. She kept giving my girl free shots of mamajuana. Around 2am we headed back to New Garden and called it a night. My girl was fucked up all those presidentes and shots of mamjuanas caught up to her.
Thursday
Sosua
We ended up having the free breakfast at New Garden, it was pretty good. We chilled most of the morning outside our room. We also started laughing there was an old dude around 60 that was out on his balcony he had four girls with him. He would take turns with each girl on the balcony while the others just stood around and waited their turn. Man I hope I still have it when I am his age.
Lunchtime walk over to Rockies had lunch, our girl from the Scotch and Sirloin tried to get us again to go back. I just wanted to get something a little cheaper. The food was okay I requested the Kentucky style fried chicken and got the regular style. Same as last time but it was okay. We waited a little longer than usual though.
We went back to the room and decided to walk to the beach. About ten minutes later we were at the beach, we didn’t get sweated too much though it was near the end of the day plus we are Puerto Rican and African American many people mistake us for Dominican too. We walked by Big D’s barbecue spot, I wanted to meet the big fella but his spot was packed, so we went to Herman’s and had a couple of cold drinks instead. There were a couple cuties working there. Back to the New Garden and chill still no chicas caught our eye. On the way back we were stopped by a chica named Dionne, a Haitian chick nice body used to work at Blackbeard’s said she was now doing hair in Sosua. She remembered us from Blackbeard’s.
Go to Bailey’s for Dinner which was pretty good. Then it’s off to Classico’s, it’s around 11:30pm and the chica brigade starts increasing. I give one of the waiters a thumb drive with some of my dj mixes, I make my own remixes on the computer I used to DJ, and $10 he gives it to the DJ who plays a few of my tracks the crowd approves ego is satisfied. There was many hotties bumping and grinding. I have a dilemma many chicks look at me and then stop when they see my girl with me. I can’t seem to overly aggressive I have to find the right amount of interest without disrespecting my girl. She also has to approve of the girl, and of course my standard is a lot lower than hers. I have to be patient but it works.
Around 2am we leave and go down to Latino’s bar again. We chat up the bartender again. She tells us to be careful because a lot of chicas around have “the sickness” not that you want to hear that but it is what it is so you got to be careful. We take a few photos with the bartender, she then says over and over no internet with the photos. The photos are all g-rated what is she worried about. She says her boyfriend will light her up if her photos were on the internet. A short while later a cute brown skinned chica named “Chade” makes small talk with my girl. They seemed to hit it off, we then we all leave and go back to New Garden for a nightcap.
We all threw down typical three-way, she did the girl, and she did me while I was doing the girl. Safe sex all the way I used the flavored condoms. Coconut is a favorite that the chicas dig. I showed her the KY intense rubbed a little on the kitty, she then rode me off into the sunset. I finished off on her chest she rubbed the nut into her chest in a sexy way. WOW not a bad encounter. Off she goes and we get to sleep its now 4:30am.
Friday
Sosua
We walk up have breakfast, it’s around 11:20am, I take it back to the room. Finish breakfast and take the dishes back. See the flaca chica offering the Massage (wink wink) again I mention it to the wife it’s not happening. Damn! Start packing our stuff as we get ready to go to Blackbeard’s. We see an old friend Elizabeth who offers up her services but we both were not feeling her at the time. She is kind of banged up has a razor cut on the face and drinks way too much. We politely decline but chit chat with her for awhile. Around 3:00pm we head off to Blackbeard’s.

I am working on the BB report and will post in the Puerto Plata section when I am finished.

Thanks for the report team horny. It goes to show you can be selective in sosua. You don't have to stick everything because you can.

The girl at Latinos with the afro is named Jovina. Very sweet girl. Two years ago she was dating a police captain of a major east coast city. I know this because I sat there drinking with him for two hours. As we drank I secretly googled his name and the city and he wasn't lying.

Its funny how when the Haitians start getting numbers the dominicanas start talking about "the sickness ".

About the older guy at newgarden. He probably has been popping viagra like tic tacs and can't nut. Atleast he is developing some memories for the old folks home. You go pops.

Its funny how when the Haitians start getting numbers the dominicanas start talking about "the sickness "

Trashing the opponent is always the play when it comes to the other side, lol. But I would like to bring up another aspect of this game to see if anyone else may have heard of such:

The guy I met on my first day in Sosua and ended up hanging with for my entire trip is a black guy like me (but he's an "Old Head") and has no vested interest in Sosua, the Country, Dominicans or Hatians. He has also been to the DR (and Sosua) more than 30 times over the years.

As I mentioned this trip was my first time with Haitian women and I was enjoying every minute of it. While we were eating at Tipico Alberto's one evening (across the street from Britania's) he told me to "be careful" when dealing with Haitian women. I asked him what he meant and he told me that the Haitians have a differet setup than Dominicans. Whereas Dominicanas are mostly there as freelancers he told me most of the Haitian females were being "pimped out".

Now he could have easily heard this from a Dominicano/a since they are in direct competition with one another (he also pointed out to me that the bar next to merengue is a Haitian bar. I never noticed this the first two times in Sosua), but he also mentioned the fact that most Haitians are in the DR ilegally and that most othem are prepared to go to jail rather than go back to Haiti (especially given the present condition of the country since the earthquake).

Has anyone else heard of something similar?

I’m planning my second trip to the DR for the middle of June. The last time I stayed at the NG in a new wing room. The motel was nicer than I expected and I like the fact that the chicas hang around the pool during the day/evening. Made hooking up very convenient. This year I’m considering staying at the Terra Linda which looks nicer. I know it is chica friendly but do the girls hang out at the pool during the day? Anyone wish to express the advantages of staying at the NG vs. Terra Linda?

Has anyone else heard of something similar? The bar next to merengue is German owned but their menu is mostly haitian(Girls). The europeans love the black candy. They have told me that the haitianas are more appreciative and trust worthy.

Imho haitians are great lovers. You gotta do some pushups and put your boots on,because they come to fuck hard.On the flip side the haitian culture has a mysterious style that draws caution from me.But i find them to be straight up as long as you dont [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) them off.

Only problem i ever had in sosua was when the haitiana(ex sex partner) new haitian boyfriend didnt like when his girl stopped to chat with me.He started talking all this "fuck Americanos shit",i just looked at him, being he hadnt violated my comfort zone yet.She later told me he had come from haiti recently and was bitter because he was poor.

As far as them being pimped out,it could happen but i doubt it.Heres why. They usually have alot of responsibility, kids back home, family back home etc plus sosua haitians are not submissive.I think the dominicanos got a better chance of pimping them out than the haitian guys. Also haitian guys usually are involved in cheap labor.I could be wrong but thats my opinion.

As far as girls hanging around the pool at Terra Linda I do not think that is the case, as I believe someone mentioned that they are not trying to portray themselves as a mongering establishment. You may have to book with New Garden again if you are looking for such a setup.

Naw no chicas hanging out at terra linda(I like it that way), but you can walk up the street to NG and grab one of them rats.

Terra linda is cheaper and cleaner. And the restaurant on deck is nicer

I would say with great confidence that a bigger proportion of dominicanas are being pimped than haitianas. This is because most haitianas come to the DR without their boyfriends or husbands and have lost touch with them, whereas dominicanas mostly have Dominican boyfriends or chulos who can more easily track them down.

However there is a small group of very young but hardcore haitianas who hang at Bar Central and in the Merengue Bar who do seem to associate closely with certain Haitian motoconchistas. They have presumably met these in Sosúa and I am guessing the common interest is drugs. Avoid these as you could be "set-up" for "under-age" scams.

Slightly older haitianas with children to provide for are nearly always independent of males and tend to support each other.

Here you go fellas. My rambling

Day 1

I arrived in POP on Friday, my boys were suppose to pick me up but for some reason I guess the cab drivers must have some kind of monopoly on the airport bc my boys told me when Jaun from Sea Breeze tried to pick them up, all the cab drivers wanted to kick his azz. Anyway, I ddnt see my boys so I just jumped into a cab for $25 bux and went to Terra Linda checked in everything was nice. Room nice, location. Etc my ac was a little loud but it was ok. One of my homies came from sea breeze to check on me and we proceeded to get my phone turned on. Once I got my phone turned on, I called some of my regulars but they acted like they had attitudes(fine with me.. Anyway, I been chatting to a few girls off tagged and they were suppose to visit me but there were too many girls in sosua for me to consider an outsider.

Wendy(hatiana. Nice breasts a sosua reg). Sees me check in and wants to come up to use the bathroom, I let her and she comes out the bathroom with a look on her face like 'lets fuk' but I'm thinking to myself 'im good for now' shes cute but toooo regular for me right now. Plus she told me she had a dude at NG she was fucking and he was eating her out. I'm like YUCK. Anyway, she leaves so I get something to eat and chill until Classicos

Classicos tht night was nice. Chicas everywhere but very few over 8 in MY BOOK but nice my homies and I are in VIP in the back chillin with some chicas drinking. Etc I finally see a niiice chica real light. Nice body. Fake tits tho but I would consider her 'Brazilian Fine' (to mean Brazilian chicks are a couple of notches above D. R. Chicks). Anyway, Jihad (owner of sea breeze) chats with her for awhile but I can see she is eyeing me. When he gets done she has a seat with us in VIP, I then ask Jihad 'wasup'. He says she suppose to be for Elvis(Canadian that lives in DR now) but doesn't know what happened anyway, I sit next to her and we converse I can see she is diggin me so I ask her straight up whats the cost. Of course she said 3500 and I'm like nooo. I thought we agreed to 2000. (more on that in a min). Anyway, we proceed to drink and have fun. Even tho the dj's at classicos suk I was vibin and having a goodtime

The chica and I arrive in my room we get to messin around a little and then she looks at me and says 'lets make sure we are in agreement on the price'. I say 2000 and she says noo '3500'. I'm like you are crazy she proceeds to put on her clothes. As we are walking down the stairs, she looks at me and says 'I like you' I'm like. 'I like you too'. (*****) then she says. '3000'. I'm getting mad now and I'm like 'no. I'm good'. We walk to classicos. She goes her way and then I go mine. I see another chica that met before, we chat for a min and I tell her 'we fukin tonight' I walk off and go down stairs and see a haitiana who always wanted to give me some but I always saw her as being boring so I never did her anyway, we talking and then the chica from earlier comes down and we go to the room. She was ok but she talked too much

Day 2

The next day I did the usually sosua shyt and hung out with my homeboys at sea breeze went to the beach and got a big plate of fish (which is my favorite dish) from #64 (tell kobie or wha wha that Justice sent you) we eat and then go venture to passions. In passion I see the most blackest, finest & luscious haitiana that I have seen in a long time she is chatting with some dude, but I can see she is giving me a slick 'eye'. I wait my turn and sneakily get her number. I tell her to go to classicos later and she agrees.

That same night we went to classicos and it was nice chicas everywhere but still very few 8's and up, but anyway, the crew and I are up in 'VIP'. The one on the right when you walk in classicos chilling and drinking and guess who comes walking over miss Brazilian fine shes on the other side of the rail smiling and I am smiling back bc I am thinkin to myself 'I got her'. She whispers to her friend and her friend looks at me and says 'my friend still want to fuk you' and I'm like 'I want to fuk her too but at my price'. They both laugh and she says 'anything you want papi can I come up? ' I'm like 'kewl'. I let her up and 'VIP' and we party and have fun while chilling with her I see the haitiana from passions. I quickly got to chat with her and tell her I can't hook up that night but she gets an attitude. I can tell she kinda 'liked' me so I just tell her I'll call her tomro she gets mad, but what can I do? Me and Brazilian Fine go back to the room and I give her the business. She was an excellent fuk.

I also so koki from the board in there I met him at NG last time I was in d. R.

Day 3

Next day in classicos I'm at a table and her she comes again now that I have her broken down, I wanted another session with her. She comes with a 'cool aid' grin on her face and asked 'papi can I sit with you' I'm like 'kewl' we drinking henessey and living life and I look at her and tell her 'its 1500 tonight hun' she looks at me and tries to pose a counter argument and I just look at her with a Player Mafioso look and ask her 'are you with me'. She begins to argue but I just ask her 'are you with me' she then submits and says 'si papi. Anything you want' I'm thinking 'kewl'.

Day 4

The haitiana calls me. Shes not mad anymore (of course she wants to make that money. LOL). Anyway, she got off work early that night and comes over we had a nice session. Her body was heavenly (black, thick, bootylicious. I also whip out the toys on her and she loves the vibrator. (toys are a perfect idea. Yall should add toys to your monger game. Decent toys can cost from $5 yo $20 bux. Thanks to some of the guys on the board). We kick it for about 1 hr and 30 mins. I then go to classicos and Brazilian fine is there I didn't really want anymore ass that night so I tell her, ' I am tired and I am going to the room and if you don't get a date. Come to the room' she then says 'tell the security I'm coming' I go back to the room and at 330 guess who is call my phone. Brazilain fine. She comes up and we do our thing. For free. Yeea babyy

Day 5

The next day the haitiana from passions calls me and says she wants to see me before I leave. I'm like kewl. I went to classicos but she ddnt come. I talked to her the nxt day and she told me somebody paid to take her out of passions. I'm like 'dayum' anyway, she has to make her money.

Anyway, that night in classicos, my boys ddnt feel like sitting around upstairs, so we just did a lap and then went downstairs to drink and chill I ddnt see Brazilian fine yet. Anyway, my boys grab their meat for the night and then her comes Brazilian fine. Smiling looking like a shining dollar piece of course she plops down in my lap and kisses me we talk for a min I tell her I will be upstairs in a few and go wait for me. She goes upstairs. A few mins later a he/she comes to me (had me fooled for min) askin me questions but I couldn't understand him/her so I am just looking at this thing at this point her comes Brazilian fine cursing him out. The he/she flashes his tits to her and she proceeds to flash hers. I'm sitting there like WTF. He finally gets mad and walks away at this point my boys and their dates are laughing. I finish my drink and proceed bak to the room. That was my last night

I did a couple more chicks during the day but nuttin to write about

In closing, I can see the rate of pum pum is going up. When you tell a chica 1500 they all laugh at you like you are telling a joke. LOL also, in all my travels to d. R., I come to the realization that the haitianas are more trustworthy and honest seems like every Dominicana I meet, lies, Lies and then lies again for no reason. I kinda felt sorry for some of my regulars because most of them were not looking so good. Sosua life is hard at the end of the day I always ask some of the whats their plans and they always say 'finishing up college to be a lawyer,' why do they all say that? Do they all sit In the hair salon and read the same script?. But its kinda sad. Anyway, even tho some of you may not like 'dark meat' but I think we need to start a haitiana revolution try a haitiana and you will see what I'm talking about. They are more humble and loving and we need to put these dominicas in their place. They are asking for too much money in my book I do not want to pay brazilian prices in sosua.. I refuse! Bc most of these chics are not as fine as brazilian chicks. so please I beg some of you guys to stop paying these chicks what they ask for bc believe me, a lot of the top notch chicks in sosua are sleeping alone at night and will eventually come down to your price

Also, terra linda is nice even tho its in the mainstream of things its kinda secluded the way it is set up to me NG is too much in the open for me. Too many ugly rats by the pool in your business.

Also guys you need to be careful, I met some young dudes from ny who filmed themselves doing a train on a chica without her knowing they were filming. She turned around and spotted the cam and got angry. She put her clothes on and left cursing them out. But she came back later on with a hoodie on. What I am trying to say is...some of these chicas may not have guns but they can get ACID, or they may be related to a policeman. If you are going to film, let the chica know. I would hate for any of you to go home looking like 2 face from Batman or if the police do pick you up, and you don't have money to pay them.... I would hate for any of you to be providing happy hour behind bars. LOL. Treat the chicas like people and remba....its their country not yours. You do not know who the chica may know.

Your trip report was great but the above is the best advice you can give anyone. I got a funny feeling it is just a matter of time before something bad happens in Sosua. I don't care how much street smarts you got Sosua and rep dom is a different game.

Like the man said, Stay smart guys......... respect your host country! One of the last things you want to deal with is a really pissed off Dominicana.

R., I come to the realization that the haitianas are more trustworthy and honest seems like every dominicana I meet lies. Lies and then lies again for no reason I kinda felt sorry for some of my regulars because most of them were not looking so good. Sosua life is hard at the end of the day I always ask some of the whats their plans and they always say 'finishing up college to be a lawyer' why do they all say that? Do they all sit In the hair salon and read the same script?. But its kinda sad. Anyway, even tho some of you may not like 'dark meat' but I think we need to start a haitiana revolution try a haitiana and you will see what I'm talking about. They are more humble and loving and we need to put these dominicas in their place. They are asking for too much money in my book I do not want to pay brazilian prices in sosua I refuse! Bc most of these chics are not as fine as brazilian chicks so please I beg some of you guys to stop paying these chicks what they ask for bc believe me, a lot of the top notch chicks in sosua are sleeping alone at night and will eventually come down to your price

Also, terra linda is nice even tho its in the mainstream of things its kinda secluded the way it is set up to me NG is too much in the open for me. Too many ugly rats by the pool in your business.

Great report Chief, haitianas will usually under cut the dominicans because they understand the biz more in my opinion. Also Kobie has a brother that works in my Cabarette business. Kobie and John are both good people and if you ever have any problems they are always by your side. Thanks for sharing, it seems like the same people are doing reports.

your trip report was great but the above is the best advice you can give anyone. i got a funny feeling it is just a matter of time before something bad happens in sosua. i don't care how much street smarts you got sosua and rep dom is a different game.

like the man said, stay smart guys......... respect your host country! one of the last things you want to deal with is a really pissed off dominicana.i agree with you bq ribs, with a slight flip. i think with sosua's proximity to the airport and the beach that eventually a big time developer will cash in on this goal mine. but first they have to stop the hooker trade. to do this their might be an exagerated crime wave (murders, robbery's, [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123), etc). then heavy police presence.

property values will plument, then the cash cows will pounce. it will be made to cater to the non-mongering tourist, who will go to the beach. upscale restaurants will also evolve, thus making sosua a secret spot for the affluent.

there is alot of russian money being invested in cabarette right now(condos). but the dominican authorities are masters at the bait and flip. so what i imagine will materialize may never happen because the dominicans will alwasy have control. drive from sosua to cabarette and view all the stalled developments.

i am not too sure about that. samana is starting to shape up right at this very moment. samana already has the highway from sdq airport. they are currently building a new highway which is supposed to go from el catey airport to las terrenas. the beaches in samana are absolutely beautiful. sosua beach is nothing compared to the beaches in samana.

once a town gets a bad rep it is hard to reverse the image. the dr has to have a puta capital and sosua will always be that.

I can remember a few years ago American Airlines flying into Samana, but appears American Airlines no longer flies into Samana.

Juan Dolio is getting a lot of investment money.

Supposedly the guy who owns the Sosua Bay Hotel owns the large parcel of undeveloped land that sits in front of Sosua Beach. That would probably be a prime spot for development, but he would have to evict the beach side businesses. I read in the past, that if the beach side businesses were evicted, some threatened to burn down any new development that took their place.

Most airlines bid on slots,POP appears to be full.Eventually international flights will wage a bidding war for AZS as developement increases.

Dominicans want jobs. They revolt when outsiders are doing their work.In my opinion sosua beach has unlimited potential.Furthermore if they ever get to opening la playa at night it can become the premier partyspot.

Samana is being defined.Punta Cana is the all inclusive family spot. The north coast is for the adventurer(girls, bars, snorkeling, kite surfing, drinking, socializing).Santo Domingo has (culture, traffic, girls, clubs etc)everything a big city has.Santiago has a middle class suburbian feel with an underside. What is Samana?

But going back on topic to Samana, its just too damn remote. Yes, its a beautiful area but its a four hour drive from Sosua/Cabarete and really does not have the "civilized" amenities that many expect. Been there, done that and have no expectations of returning there.

One of the nicest beaches I have visited. To get to Playa Rincon you have to turn off the main road and travel on a semi-paved road for about 5 miles. There is a fresh water stream near the beach, where people go swimming. Near the fresh water stream, (near the end of the beach), there are BBQ places, very basic places, fresh Miro is good there.

In Samana some people sell uncooked fish from their homes, you will see small signs near some homes, offering to sell fish. You can buy fish to cook later on.

And how many of the big landowners obtained their land legitimately? I would guess 80% of the land in the DR has been obtained illegally, sometimes changing hands illegally more than once, much of it within my lifetime.

That may change once the new new highway is finished.

I just don't see Sosua ever being more than what it is. Tourists like hotels with an ocean view, a short walk to the beach, places to go at night. Sosua has none of these for the most part. Yes, there are a few hotels with a ocean view but the vast majority of hotels don't and are puta friendly. Playa Dorado is available for tourist seeking ocean view hotels. Sosua beach is far from being beautiful, just my two pesos.

I stopped in Sosua about a month ago. I had not been in Sosua in almost three years. A whole lot of monger money is being spent in that town and I don't see it changing. I remember years ago Pedro Clisante was slow during the day. I was in Sosua about 5pm and that street was full of putas and money spending dudes. I had a beer next to El Flow and got out of Dodge quick. Sosua is too much of a rat race for me.

Getting legal, proper title for a land purchase in the Dom Rep can be a problem. I know of at least one Dominican who bought a piece of property and built a house, only later to discover that the person he bought the land from, was not the true owner.

You don't buy land privately. Its done by the state. Period. End of discussion. There is no such thing as a private land transaction in many countries! Especially the Dominican Republic

Can anyone comment on what there is to do in Cabarete if you decided to take a chica there with you for half a day or so (if only just to get her out of the Sosua atmosphere for a while)? I'm not looking to wind surfing or anything like that.

There doesn't seem to be much info on the place in that thread, plus most of the post are from guys who either ended up there and realized there should have went to Sosua instead, or wannabe mongerers (guys who show up with the wife and fam and spend most of their trip trying to figure out how to sneak over to Sosua without getting caught, lol).

If Cabarete is not worth the trip over then please don't hesitate to say so!

If Cabarete is not worth the trip over then please don't hesitate to say so!Most if not all Dominican chicas really like Cabarete. Jose O'Shays Irish Bar and Restaurant is a pleasant place. Kite Boarding is very popular in Cabarete (the wind is always blowing there). Do a search in youtube for kite boarding cabarete, amazing what some of those guys do. I have seen topless white chicas on the beach in Cabarete. There are several beach side bars and restaurants. The beach is much bigger and much wider than Sosua beach. At night it is a younger crowd, mostly white, 20 year olds who party at the bars on the beach. The disco in the casino was nice. Years ago I visited one place that had pro chicas, it was on the second floor of some building on the main road, not sure if that place still exists. Lots of new Condominium buildings in the last few years in Cabarete. A Senior Member of this board has a business there.

Not much to do but you can kill a half day just walking the streets going into the small shops (if she's not a greedy pig) take a swim and have lunch on the beach. There is a cigar shop there that is owned by a senior member here.

If Cabarete is not worth the trip over then please don't hesitate to say so!On all my trips to Sosua I have made arrangments to scuba dive and wind surf. My dive club that I use is located in Cabarete which I spend most of my time during the day before I return to the villa I rent in Sosua (see my reports #5335 & 5336)

I have found lots to do at the beach which is better than Sosua Bay. On the beach in Cabarete you will find a large number of good restaurants, stores, shops, p4p,ect. some right on the beach. There are atleast 2 wind surf stores that you can use. They also offer massages right on the beach. The hard part is finding a place to park if you drive. So yes, Cabarete is worth the trip.
My 2cents.

if you are looking for a touristy adventure take your novia to laguna grigri in rio san juan and have lunch. i would just rent a car and go fuck on a deserted beach and have a picnic!

For those of you who have called Orange phones in DR:

I was trying to call a chica via SKYPE and after about 4 "beeps" I get a recorded message that says "The Orange number you have dialed cannot be reached." Does anyone know whether or not:

A) Her phone may be off (no minutes)
B) Her phone may be off (powered down)
C) She just may not be answering the phone
??

Interestingly, there is no option to leave a voice mail (I doubt the chicas even take the time to set it up; I know I dont) and I never get charged by SKYPE when this happens.

Anyone have an idea of what might have happened? I only talked to her once but after that I just get the recorded message that I mentioned above. It can't be that she is avoiding me because she was already asking me to bring her shit (parfum) once I return next month, lol...I called a chica in Sosua last night using SKYPE and a couple of times in the past month. She is using a phone with Orange service 829 area code. You will get the above message if you do not dial 1 first.

fucking on a deserted beach sounds like fun, but i dont think i would try it unless i am packing heat. don't want to end up in one of those "situations" (for those of you who have seen the movie "midnight cowboy") if a pack of horny (male) locals run across our naked asses in the middle of doing the nasty :(

do the laguna gri gri and rent a boat. take a lunch with you with drinks and ice. takes about 2-3 hours depending on the "captain". you go thru the mangroves (lots of birdlife) across a small bay and into a cave, then a swim spot and finally a nice beach, playa caleton, before returning. great time with a chica who can swim and even better with another couple. boat runs about 1000p if memory serves.

Anyone know if the Columbus Water Park is open?

I went there last year with my wingman. We actual went there on a Saturday just to take a look and get a bite to eat..saw some nice chicas. Next thing we know were in the pool..... 2 hours later we were all friends. They met us at Classico that same night....what a good time we all had.

Funny thing is, I remember when I was swimming humming the Jaws song I felt like a great white shark going in for the kill.

'. if you are broke and prostituting to feed you and the baby you currently have. why add another burden?. so somebody tell me, can women in the d. r. get abortions? i know even though most of the girls in dr are catholic, even though they are putas, but why bring babies in the world that you can't support? the same logic can be applied to americans too but at least there is welfare here. i don't think so in d. r.

Now this sounds pretty interesting. Is it 2-3 hours because they are actually taking you to (new) different spots? Or is the Captain just circling around the bay over and over again (making it "seem" like you are going to new spots)?

I then think to myself 'why did you keep the baby? '. If you are broke and prostituting to feed you and the baby you currently have. Why add another burden?. So somebody tell me, can women in the D. R. Get abortions? I know even though most of the girls in Sosus are Catholic, even though they are putas, but why bring babies in the world that you can't support? The same logic can be applied to Americans too but at least there is welfare here. I don't think so in D. R.
I am not as seasoned as other DR mongers, but I would like to add that some of women (all over the world) will not fair well after a pregnancy because their bodies may go all to shit. This especially becomes a problem for a "working chica" because no is going to want to session with her anymore and she also now has to compete with the younger chicas who have never had a baby (and who's bodies are still in tact).

I was very fortunate last trip to not have run into any chicas with those nasty C-section scars like I did back in '09. It's no fault of their own that they have the scar, but I won't lie that it does not become a distraction when you are trying to get your boogie on with her. One chica's scar was so bad that I just elected to just do the whole session doggie-style (lucky she has a big ass though, which is why I had to hit that twice!).

they can get abortions in dom rep. morning after pill can be bought in pharmacies there. there are other pills available there, that will abort a pregnancy. birth control pills are also readily available.

i met a chick in sosua (forgot her name) when i first came to sosua about 2 years ago or so. anyway, she wasnt that hot but we always talk and are 'friends'. if i sit at the bar and i see her, i make sure i look out for her and buy her a drink. she isn't my type but she is ok looking. anyway, i mess with her a lot bc she just had a baby (her second) and i always tell pple she is my babys mother when they see us talking and drinking(shes not my type but she is cool). ok. we were talking last time i was in sosua and i ask her who is her babydaddy bc she is alwys asking me for peso for [CodeWord131] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord131). she tells me that her babydaddy is an american whose condom broke. i then think to myself 'why did you keep the baby? I came off child support in 2004 and got clipped (vasectamy) in 2005. The only girl I bareback has been trying to get pregnant by me for two years. I act like its something wrong with her. I love when she says"yo quiero leche ahora poppi".

You can buy birth control pills over the counter in the DR, and you can make up a dose of morning after pills by taking the right number of bc pills. Google for exact information.

They are illegal and the law has recently been tightened up to confirm that. Thus the DR is moving in the opposite direction to most of the rest of the world.

In most countries such a clamp-down would result in the squalid industry of back-street abortions with all the problems they bring. No doubt that does happen to some extent in the DR but the easier and cheaper option here is to dump the baby on some family member or neighbour.

Takes about 10-15 minutes to get out of the mangroves and then about 20 minutes across the bay to the cave. After that, it's a 5-10 minute ride to a swimming area along the cliffs and then another 5-10 minutes to Playa Caleton. There you can usualy hang for 30-60 minutes dependeing on the captain. And another 20 minutes back to Laguna Gri Gri. Worth it.

In all due respects,at least 80% maybe closer to 90% of the working girls in the DR have had at least one kid,it is just some girls bodies bounce back better than others. From now on when you take a girl that looks like she hasn't had a kid ask her if she has any children and you will be shocked to find that it is a rarity to find a girl that hasn't.

If you get to know chicas well and they are honest, some will tell you they have had abortions in the past. One chica told me the price of an abortion, I forget the exact price, it was not more than 10,000 pesos (US 277 Dollars). May not be a bad idea to have some of those morning after pills with you, just in case a condom breaks (or if in a drunk stupor you slide it in without a condom). You can offer the pill to the chica in the morning.

Oh, I believe you. The two Haitianas in the photos I posted had kid(s). The skinny one with the yellow top on has two and the other one who's body looks like it was chisled from stone had 3!

And I would have never guess it because there was nothing about their bodies that indicated so. I only found out because I had happened to ask.

Hey fellas, can you help a brother out. I will be visiting Sousa for the first time on May 3, 2010. What would you guys say is a good hotel to stay that is chica friendly. I am leaning towards the Sousa Bay Resort, but I am not sure if it is girl friendly. I been researching the reports that have been submitted. I like the beach and really don't like to stay at ground zero of the action. I generally like to grab something and slink off to my cave.

I have visited Punta Cana (with girlfriend) Santo Domingo, Boca Chica and Samana. I have been fortune and find the occasional gem in Boca Chica and Santo Domingo.

I had a Dominican date when I visited Samana, but it really a quiet place and we just chilled out.

I only speak a little Spanish, however I often mistaken for a Dominican. I guess due to my mixture of Native American and Black.

I sometimes like to have a double booty date, (a habit that I picked up in Rio. Anyone's input would be appreciated.

Well we just finished up talking about Cabarete. Maybe you should look into staying there. It is 10 minutes from "ground zero" and you definitely "slink back off to your cave" after you've found what you are looking for in Sosua :)

Thanks for your input.Renting a car at the POP airport is easy. It is an easy drive to Sosua. I don't think terra linda has secure parking. There is street parking, the rental car should be OK in the street, if you can park it near the hotel, hopefully close to a night watchman is best. The action in Sosua is about a one block walk from terra linda hotel.

I make my reservations online with the car rental company and get a confirmed price. Hertz has a bad rep in Dom Rep. I choose third party liability insurance and glass/tire coverage. A small car will run you about $220 for a week. After you make the reservations online, print out a copy of the reservation with the price and bring it with you. Most rental companies will put a $1,000 hold on your credit card (they use the old fashioned slide machine with carbon paper to process the credit card). The computer systems for the car rental companies in Dom Rep are not the most modern. When I rented there they convert the price from Dollars to pesos, so you may want to calculate beforehand the reservation price in pesos. If you use a credit card to rent a car, check your credit card statement often. Lots of credit card fraud in Dom Rep.

All the car rentals I have used in Dom Rep had CD players, so I always burn some music CDs to listen to in the car.

Keep loose change in the car, just about always some person will come and clean your windshield, you can give them 5 pesos.

I always rent a car at the airport. It comes in very handy to travel everywhere with or without chicas. i even made trips to Santiago in the mountain road from Sosua.
It is important you park the car in a well lighted area overnight preferably where there is a night guard. Otherwise you can park anywhere . I have parked in front of Classico many times for a few hours. Made many trips to Puerto Plata with chicas who do not have cedulas for some reason staying by themselves at the cabanas who I met at the clubs.
Just make sure you buy full insurance from the agent when you rent the car.
It costs approx $20/day and will double your price for the rental. I know Some credit cards have rental coverage. But the problem is if you get into an accident or any other kind of damage to the car, they will not let you leave DR till the credit card company pays in full for the damage. It is a hassle. It really does not matter whether you got the car through Hertz, Avis etc. So save yourself the trouble.

i'm planning to visit sosua soon for the first time from the reports will probably stay at the terra linda. a rental car for a week is less than $200 and i'm considering renting one. i understand that the taxi fare to and from pop is approx. $40. is the terra linda walking distance to the action in sosua? also, is there safe parking near the bars in sosua? i would also take a day and drive up and down the coast to sightsee; would that be safe to do?

thanks for your input.
i would think twice about renting a car if this is your first visit to the dr (or is it just first visit to sosúa?).

everything in sosúa is within easy walking distance unless you have a disability.

different if you really need one to get to somewhere more remote, or if you are in a group to share rental costs.

gringos driving rentals are targets for all sorts of scams. any accident will be your fault and you will pay cash or go to jail. dominican jails are not like first world jails.

an american guy was at my condos three days ago. he laughed at me when i told him why i don't drive a car although i live in the dr. he said he had driven here for many holidays without a problem.

next day he was involved in a traffic accident. he was almost stationary but was hit by a motoconcho maniac driving on the wrong side of the road at high speed. he ended up paying around us$9000 to get out of jail and was relieved to get out of the country and cut short his stay. he isn't laughing at me now.

ok, he maybe could have handled things better, but would you as a newbie to the area know what to do any better than him? and he may face further claims if he shows his face in the dr again. i am not sure if he was partly to blame, but if so it was only a technicality and he was doing what any careful driver would have done in the us.

local drivers here are idiots with no regard for life or limb. the death rate is 16 times larger than in my country of origin, the uk. and the cops, lawyers, rental companies, and even doctors are often crooks who see gringos as atms.

you can travel all along the north coast by public transport for a few dollars.

i am not saying don't rent, just think about it carefully first.

Just got back from 5 days on the island. Flew into SDQ and spent a night then drove to Sosua and stayed at NG for the duration. You definitely don't need a car in Sosua. And if you want to go to POP, it is a 45P publico taxi then motoconcho or walk where you want to go.
Don't drive in the DR until you've spent some time getting acclimated. Even then it is a crap shoot. While I was there, a friend made a u-turn on the POP Malecon and was t-boned by a moto with two people on it. They both got hurt pretty bad, one with a leg broken in two places. The police arrested him and he spent the day in jail. Lucky for him, he had friends who live there and helped him raise the money to get out. Small windowless cell with no windows (he said it was over 100F with no shitter or anything) and ten Dominican criminals. He was shaken down but good. It's my understanding that even if you take insurance, it only covers CDW and not the pax in the other vehicle. 3K US for the two on the moto. His lawyer, the rental car company and the police. Last count, he was around 8K US but out and about and in Classicoa Saturday night. He was told that his options were to sit in jail til he went to trial in 6 months or come up with this money.
Scary.

it's important for someone to point this out every so often. the reports by guys who drive all over, have a great time and no problems need some balance. you are not in kansas anymore.

i ask residents (like you) for concho recommendations and try to establish a relationship with one or two taxi drivers. they all have cell phones and mostly sit around all day waiting for work in places like sosua. if you are a regular, you can work out arrangements for reasonable rates.

a car and driver don't necessarily cost that much more than car rental plus gas plus insurance- and in an accident you have no legal exposure.

i am not saying don't rent, just think about it carefully first.i couldn't agree more,i think the guys that rent cars are out of their minds (jmho). i travel almost monthly to either the dr or colombia and would never rent a car,not because i am afraid of getting in an accident per se,it is what happens afterwards such as what happened to the guy in koki's report. i have been in several accidents while riding in taxis and if these experienced drivers can get in an accident it is for certain that it will happen to me,just a matter of time.

the debate of whether renting a car for either convenience or to save money will go on until the end of time but i just don't see the logic behind either argument for renting a car. taxis are abundant everywhere so i don't see the extra convenience factor. and from a matter of cost i certainly don't see it if you get the appropriate insurance when renting. if you travel long distances you need to learn the bus system and gua-guas for inter city travel they are dirt cheap and come and go at regular intervals due to the fact that this is the standard method the locals use because most can not afford a vehicle.

I still like to have a car when I am in Dom Rep. If a guy will only be staying in Sosua, then there is no need for a car. If a guy wants the freedom to visit different towns and cities, then a car is good to have.

I drive slow in the towns and cities and take my time. I have been lucky so far, over 20 trips renting cars and I haven't had a serious accident. There are lots of opportunities to have accidents there, especially with the 125cc motorcycles and the scooters zipping around.

I also drive in the DR. If you visit the DR frequently and drive, it's not a matter of "if," but "when" you will have an accident. I have had (3) flat tires, hit a dog (bumper damage), and have had (2) accidents with motoconcho drivers (one insignificant and one significant).

If you are driving in the Dominican Republic, you have to be prepared for the worst (Insurance, International Drivers License, Cell Phone, Bribe Money, DR Lawyer, Solid Ex-Pat Network). I don't recommend that others drive in the DR; however, for my trips to the DR, it is a necessity if I want to travel the country and the capital easily and inexpensively.

In Bogota, Buenos Aires, Lima, and Rio de Janeiro public transportation has always been the better option. Except for the Dominican Republic, only Cuba would be worth the risk of renting a car for me.

Cheers!

This will be my first time in D. R., and from the looks of this thread, Sousa is very chica friendly. One my boys is from Santiago, and he swears by it, but I'm looking to go where the females are everywhere.

Anyways, what's the going rate for a condo/villa in Sousa? I found one going for $40USD a night.

Does that sound right?

After my third visit I started to rent a car. I think the points of the dangers of renting a car are well made and if you rent you must use caution. There is an up side and a down side to everything and the risks are real.

Thanks guys for the "heads" up reminders.

As an avid motorcycle rider, always look twice. But also have bail money.

Why don't they just take your passport? It has the same effect. There isn't anything criminal that you should be incarcerated. Its part of the tactic to make you scared. Mental submission.

Navigating around without a car takes you away from the daily carnival of meeting up with all the different characters of people. This is where most of my good stories come from. Does that sound right?Tradewinds and Palms were about 45 per night when I stayed there. I hate the Palms, it is a half block past Tradewinds. Tradewinds condominiums are about a ten minute walk from the center of Sosua. Nice pool at Tradewinds, neighbors at Tradewinds never broke my balls (I used the pool there at 4am with chicas, after the disco and definitely a little drunk). The people at the Palms complained if two people were having a conversation on the terrace of the apartment at 10pm.

Only problem with Tradewinds is that the apartment did not have a safe (I have not stayed there in a while, so maybe safes have been installed, I don't know). There are places where you can hide money. I always rented from Marco at Rockys. It is low season now, prices go down.

Perla de Sosua is another place that has condo rentals. When I inquired about Perla de Sosua apartment rentals, they wanted a $500 dollar security deposit for a 5 night stay. At Tradewinds I gave a $50 dollar security deposit for a 5 night stay. At Tradewinds, I basically had the pool to myself, I never saw other people using the pool there.

Just out of curiosity: If the average non-pro makes about RD2000 a month, then what does that amount work out to as far as living goes? Meaning is 2000 pesos barely getting by? Or does it by you a lot (food, rent, bills, etc.) to get by on month to month?

Trying to add more to my knowledge about the place. I've been to DR 3 times already (4 in a few weeks) and all I seem to know is where to eat, where to stay, and where all the pros congregate, lol.

So many don't have to pay rent. Electricity, many folks get free, illegal electricity. Biggest expense for many chicas is University. On 2000 pesos per month, they are just surviving. I have known chicas who have never purchased a 500 ($13) peso claro calling card for their celular, they purchase 60 or 100 peso cards. Most chicas are tight with their money, they know how to shop for bargains and some will study a restaurant or other bill, to make sure everything is perfectly correct. Hair salon once a week, to get their hair washed and blow dried, is something most chicas do. Most hate it when it rains, it messes up their hair do from the Beauty salon.

I think you're mistaken. I have been told the average monthly wage is about $200. A month USD. Which would be roughly 8000. DOP a month.

I recently visited a girl and her family in Azua and got a good feel how they lived and some of their expenses. They rented a three bedroom house for 2000. A month, stole their electric and cable and ate rice, beans, chicken, eggs and plantains primarily which is very cheap. They raised their own chickens. There were 7 people living in this house and I paid for all the food for 8 days and it was about 2000. Pesos I think.

The only person that had a regular job was her mother's boyfriend. At about 7 o'clock every night two of her sisters would get all dolled up, kiss their esposos/novios goodbye and went off to "work".

Avg salary in an average job is 6000-8000 a month, not 2000. That would be for example someone working as a clerk in a store, etc.

The debate of whether renting a car for either convenience or to save money will go on until the end of time but I just don't see the logic behind either argument for renting a car.Doesn't it depend on how you're doing your vacation? If you're planning to visit a bunch of different and far-flung places, you may "need" a car. If you're traveling with people who can't get around on foot very well, or if that describes you yourself, then likely you will need a car. But if you plan to stay at a "home base, " like Sosua, PP or Costambar, and everything you want to visit is within walking distance, then a rental car may just complicate things without being of any real value.

My last trip to Brazil took me "far afield. " A few days in Guarapuava with my niece & nephew; a few days in Blumenau for their Oktoberfest; a week in Barra the Lagoa, on Santa Catarina Island, and driving around the island to explore it as a possible new home. I figured I needed a car for that. OTOH, I chose not to rent a car for my trip to Argentina & Uruguay; I enjoyed walking around the BsAs "microcentro", Punta del Este, and Pocitos (Montevideo), and I took a cab when I went farther than I wanted to walk. I took buses from city to city, and that worked out well for me.

I would also like to add too that IF you DID drive you would miss out on the real DR way of life. Navigating around without a car takes you away from the daily carnival of meeting up with all the different characters of people. Live like the locals, not the spoiled American who has to have a car everywhere they go.Absolutely! Being in a car leaves you insulated from the environment; you "become the car" and interact only with other cars, not the people of the street scene. Colin Fletcher, the backpacker and author, in his book The Complete Walker, noted that with his "Law of Inverse Appreciation" (paraphrased below):

Fletcher's Law of Inverse Appreciation: The more advanced the transportation method you're using, the less you will be able to observe, notice, interact with, and appreciate the environment through which you're traveling.A rental car is great if you want to get somewhere, and get somewhere, and get somewhere. But on your way there, especially in a "land of crazy drivers" (aren't they all?) you have little attention to spare from the other vehicles; you can't enjoy the scenery. And once you get "there" you have to park the car and worry about it. Without a car, you won't be as "mobile" but you may have a richer experience of the place you're visiting.

I know I'll be "limiting myself" by not renting a car for my Blackbeard's visit next month; maybe I'll get cabin fever (or is that "cabana fever" in the DR?) I may welcome a road-trip to Sosua after a couple of days, even if I need to take a cab. If renting a car "does it" for you, enjoy, but take care.

I enjoy the hunt. With a rental car, I can drive just about anywhere on the Island. A chica may not have much time, I can pick her up in the car, drive to a Cabana, for sex and drop her off, all within two hours and then be onto the next one.

Most of the highways are not crowded, so I do get to enjoy the scenery, the landscapes.

Puerto Plata and San Pedro de Marcoris have lots of motorcycles and scooters on the roads. Santo Domingo and Santiago have much less motorcycles and scooters.

Driving on a sunny day, on a good road, with little traffic, good music in the car, on the way to meet some new chica, I enjoy it.

LOL, you have to try it. It can be fun especially if you are in a publico with 6 chicas.

I agree there is a risk of getting into an accident but without a car you miss out on so, so much of the country. Lately I have been mixing it up by having a car the first few and last few days of my trips. This gives me a chance to roam the country and also learn public transport.

Since this is in a Sosua forum I can see how some north coasters are not much inclined to rent. Cabarete, Sosua, Puerto Plata you really don't need one.

A typical trip for me might be Santo Domingo, Jarabacoa, Samana, and Bonao. Try doing this with guaguas and buses you wouldn't get half of that done.

As I finally have time to reflect on my recent trip last weekend, I can't help but wonder about all the contiuous negative vibes coming out of Sosua.

I always try to keep my karma on a positive keel. Here are the negatives:

1)Lous Saturday night, liquor, boxing, bravado. Neither drunk guy wanted to back down.

2)Saw this Dominican street hustler that I don't deal with other than to say hello. He walks by and says I don't watch out for him. Just laughed and walked away.

3)seacrets had more people playing pool(3) than people at the bar. Girls were standing behinds empty bars in trances. No smiles.

4)4roses bar was emty everyday.

5)Herman of siempre sol said he had two people in two days.

6)Newgarden had the same four girls by the pool everyday.

Sosua is in ICU and needs help.

You have described about the worst of it. I was thinking more of an occasional private taxi. I dont like the worries of being responsible for a car in a wild foreign tropical country.

I was in your Toyota situation a few times in Santiago when my ho understood how much I was paying for taxi's. She figured that if she saved me money, there would be more for her and she was right. I fake my financial situation pretty well when I am with the hoes so she pulled me into the 25cent pool-taxis. I must say I was kind of uncomfortable with it. I was worried about the doors falling off the car as it rolled down the street!!!

Anyway, I think the car is a part of your game and I cant fault anyone for that.

I was in your Toyota situation a few times in Santiago The times I drove in Puerto Plata the traffic was not terrible. In Santo Domingo, I have driven on Autopista Duarte, 6-7 lane road, at rush hour, where the traffic was not moving and I can remember looking to my side and seeing 6 dominicans crammed into a small carro publico, the windows were rolled down and they did not look happy.

I rent a small compact car, which is good enough for me. Some high rollers are cruising around in the big SUV vehicles. Some of those guys driving the big, expensive SUVs in Dom Rep, drive like total jack asses.

I stopped in Sosua about two months ago just for a few hours. I had not been in Sosua in almost three years and boy did I see a difference. I stopped at the bar on the corner of Rosen to have a beer around 4 in the afternoon. That area was packed with mongers and putas. When I stopped going to Sosua the afternoons were usually really nice and quiet. Sosua looked like the Wild Wild West.

If someone is going to rep dom just to bang out as many chicas as they can in a day I would say Sosua is the place. Sosua has more putas per square centimeter than any other city in rep dom.

So Mr. Gogo were you annoyed, pleased, or still trying to figure out what operation Sosua needs?

But as a business man I look below the surface. New outdoor bar 'rumba"across from el flow had a nice crowd. Rumba(dominican owned), classicos, nice crowd(dominican owned). 4 roses empty(german owned), seacrets, slow(dominican owned), bar acroos from seacrets that burned down(european owned). I think foreign investors are having a rough time. But it could be the slow season.

The one exception is passions, Peter (german) is building a new wing with two stripper poles.

Also a guy at the hotel had a beautiful 18 yo girl shit on him. Poor guy was traumatized for two days. But he went to passions and pulled a nice honey to recover.

The next few months will tell alot about whats happening in Sosua.

Also a major celebrity was out and about but I can't put his name here. Pm if you want to know who it was.

As an avid motorcycle riderI have seen groups of ten or more guys driving Harley Davidson motorcycles, on the weekends, on the highway east of Boca Chica. Seems like it would be fun to tour around with a group of motorcyclists.

On that same highway I have scene a group of about 20 people on racing bicycles, with some support type vehicles around them.

Anyway, I think the car is a part of your game and I cant fault anyone for that.My wingman does a lot driving for his work here in the States. When he is on vacation in Rep Dom, he does not want to spend much time in a car. We don't travel much together anymore, because I like to hop around from place to place in Dom Rep.

I am not sure where you get your intel from, the owner of Rumba is an American from New Jersey, and Classicos/Merengue Bar is owned by an Italian.

Classicos/Merengue Bar is owned by an Italian.I have not been in Sosua in a while. When I was in Sosua years ago, an Italian guy owned the Sosua Bay Hotel, the new casino, After One disco and Classicos. Sometimes he would be at Classicos at night. He was not very friendly with me, when I stopped to chat with him one night at classicos. I knew a chica who used to work for him and she said he was nice. One of his brothers was a much friendlier guy.

I second that, the owner of classicos/Merengue is also the owner of the Sosua Bay hotel and the Victorian House hotel.

I've only watched rumba from El flow.Well designed, plasma tv,over 100 Dominican dudes well dressed, three waitresses. NO puntas it seemed like a high class Dominican networking group no foreigners .And its American owned WoW. What a bold buisiness plan.To set up right across from El flow and cater to dominican dudes.

I am going to be in Sosua in 5 days and with some of the reports here pessimism abounds. As for the slow season, I can't beleive it. I have been there at this time of year every year for the last few years and it has never been slow.

I am more aware of potential violence, but I hope most of it is paranoia. I haven't heard anything happening to regular gringo hobbiests, but I realize you have to treat the locals with respect and occasionally take of of some of the street people. I almost had an incident of a group mugging, which was my fault, last time I was there 6 months ago. They were only after money but I hope I don't hear of anything more than that.

As for the lack of quanity of the girls at the NG, I know it can get slow there, but I have had no problems with that too. Plus during the day there are always girls walking by and looking in.

I guess I am asking is there any positive news.

Mr Gogo,

You betcha;) I'm actually packing tonight. I'll be on ground Saturday by 2:10 pm Will be returning the 16th. My buddy from NY will be going down as well.

I haven't been down in May for awhile, so it will be intersting to see how it looks compared to other times of the year.

We'll keep Herman in business, and visit with Peter alot as well I'm sure.

I'll pm you and post something up as well for everyone once I get a feel for things.

Looks like the exchange rate is decent enough this trip...

Jaded Guy you there this weekend pm me a report please.
