Never got a chance to get into that pool. And that's a Haitiana. Tells you to meet her down stairs...so you can pay for her motochoncho. Likes to order the fish...

As my friend from Cleveland says: "Love, Peace, and Chicken Grease!"Sexy..whats her name?

True, but what I've tended to notice is that there is usually the likelihood of them being disrespectful when they're in large groups, as opposed to being alone or with just another monger. I have a hell of alot more respect for the guy who is solo and will run his mouth to a group rather than the idiot who is in a group and has you outnumbered 10-1 and his mouth then becomes bigger than his balls.

I thought you were talking about **** ******* and his friends!

Another travel board and his buddies very [mouthy] behind their computer in their mom's basement but very quiet when they are by themselves.

I agree 200%. There are too many chicas in sosua for any guy to disrespect any chica. Puta or not. Especially if she is with another man/men. You do not know who she may be or not be and its none of anyone's business in my opinion. Nothing wrong with looking but when it gets disrespectful then thats where the line is drawn.
CJ and SavePros, thanks to you both. You have helped to redeem my belief that there is some level of respect amongst mongers. The lack of respect coupled with the increased hardness of the real putas in Sosua is a large part of the reason I'd chosen to stop going to Sosua a few years ago. In fact, the only reason I was even at the beach was because I had a friend down from the states and he had wanted to go along with his girl, her daughter, and a few other local friends of ours. From what I understood during the drive over, it was my only my chicas second time there and, hell, she lives in Puerto Plata, but has lived a very sheltered life. How do I know? Not because she has told me but because the Dominican guy who was with us is her step-father whom I have known since I started coming to PP and he told me about her background, which is actually how I became interested in her, apart from her attractiveness.
I guess I should also point out the fact that, although there must have been about 14-15 guys sitting there, this was the only guy who thought it necessary to react the way he did.

Anyways, kudos to you both.

When will you be there and where do you plan on diving? I may join you if I'm there.I'm staying at the New Garden 6/13 - 6/20 and plan on diving each day. Most of the diving is in Sosua Bay and is fair at best but the ladies are fine. This is my second trip. Would not mind having a dive buddy/wingman.

That could worry me; I want to do some scuba diving day-trips while I'm at Blackbeard's next month, and I would WAY rather bring my own gear than use rental stuff that isn't "according to Hoyle" (or to Hogarth, in this case). Although my U/W camera case is small enough for my carry-on luggage.I'll be at the New Garden from 6/13 - 6/20 and I plan on diving each day. This is my second trip to the DR. Last year I check all my gear (reg w/computer, bc, fins, mask, boots, wetsuit, knife, light) and had no problems. I plan on doing the same this year but I don't have a u/w camera. Having your own gear is a good idea. The available rental stuff is old and low end. Most of the diving is in Sosua Bay so you will be making the trip down and back each day.

When you say you rented the truck from Juniors friend… were there any professional contracts signed or was it a gentlemens spoken agreement kind of rental?

In a third world country anything can happen if it was a gentlemens agreement. This would go to trial as every party would lie to reduce their own risk and lay it on the gringo. You would stay in the slammer along with Sade until the tribunal at least.

If a professional contract was involved, Sade would have had to be identified in the contract or they would throw the book at you. In either case you would responsible for all damages even if Sade was at fault. In Sade's case they cant squeeze blood from a turnip so they would go after the gringo for everything. They might hang a long term meager payment plan on Sade as well.

The difference between Sade and Junior is… Junior has his own agreement with Cesa and is renting the car from him as a part of conducting his own tourist guide business. On the other hand, Sade is borrowing the car from YOU during the time of your said rental agreement. So IMHO, you are not liable for Junior but you are for Sade.

I agree with this in general, but in my opinion, the door is not closed on the “system” hanging a long term payment plan on the Sade the driver if the situation is ugly enough.

If somebody wants to argue that you could be liable having Junior drive you around, that would also imply you could be just as liable hopping into any Taxi… or even for the damages a Motoconcho does driving you around, and that would be just too crazy for me to believe.

Summary: Your off the hook with Junior but definitely not with Sade.Ehunter

There wasn’t a professional contract with Junior friend Cesa. Junior was around a couple of times when Sade drove the car. Hell she drove all of us to the airport with Junior in the car when it was time leave the country.

At the end of the day I just wanted to make sure that since I wasn’t driving and it’s not my car that I won’t go to jail and be blame of an accident I did not cause.

Thanks for the response and everyone else for responding to my question.

You know this past memorial day weekend reminds me of how Vegas and Sosua is so similar. I had a big client who has a place in Vegas that came to party for a weekend at the casinos. Now he's lived in Vegas for years and could do everything on his own and yet he still wanted a guy like myself set everything up for him. Why? Because he don't feel like dealing with the hassle of the clubs etc. To him even though he has a residence in Vegas when he comes into town he feels like he's on vacation.

And that's when a Junior like person in Sosua comes in. Yeah you don't need a Junior down in Sosua just like you don't need a host/security to enjoy your self in Vegas but a lot of people also don't want to deal with the hassle when on vacation

Example is the driving situation in DR. If I were Junior I have my own car that's fully insured etc. When I pick you up at the airport your not worried about driving or transportation cus as a host I'm going to take care of that. Just like I did this past weekend in Vegas. I had my own car and I pick up my client and took him where ever he needed to go. So now in the states as it would be in Sosua there would be no liability on the person vacationing if we got into an accident.

Another example is the begging situation in Sosua. Once again if I was Junior people would come to me first before they would deal with my client. No one would try to sell anything to my client unless he wished it. My client in Vegas knows he's the money man and he understands that there are a bunch of vultures in Vegas just like Sosua that are trying to vie for his business. He knows that and that's why he has me as his shield of protection from the vultures.

Junior to me has the concept but he doesn't understand how to be a proper host. When things are not going right thats when as a host you show your true value. My first night back in Sosua(see my trip day1 report) if he would've handle that situation with the female instead of cowering away to save his own ass he would've made soo much more money then what he got. And on top of that just off me mentioning him on the board about him handling that broad would have produce him more business. Cus I guarantee you in Sosua your going to meet a female that you think is cool and then when you get back to the hotel she ups the price or start acting crazy etc. And thats when a Junior like kat comes in to handle that. If he would've done that he would have double/triple his clients but now he lost future business with me and he's getting a bad reputation within the tourist community.

I feel there is a growing market for a need of a Junior in Sosua. But it has to be done properly. I've found that people that are on vacation have no problem paying as long as they can see the value in it as well as see good service from it.

I eventually want to move and probably retire in the DR. Once I learn spainsh, the culture and meet the right people in DR I'm going to take Junior spot and have clients come to DR and show them a good time. There not going to have to worry about people scamming them or having the hassle to deal with kicking out a crazy broad at 3am cus I'll handle that which in turn shows my true value and service when a person comes to DR.

Also, he is probably not a DR citizen so he really is an 'outsider' per say. i think i told you, i know an older guy from North Carolina who owns at least 16 condos and houses in sosua and he had a hard time getting financed, so imagine what Jr would need just to get a decent truck without credit and collateral. also, i dnt think a Jr is needed in Sosua. There may be a need for him in other parts of the island but not sosua..as i mentioned b4, sosua to me is like a mini mart, you can run in and run out and get what you intended to get...now if you want something more 'exotic' (midgets, better chicas than what sosua has to offer, white girls..etc) then you may have to go to the bigger cities(grocery markets) and get something more exotic or something that fulfills your particular fetish...thats when a Jr may be needed.

Might be kind of tough to understand without living in Juniors shoes.

The reason probably has to do with wanting to live amongst friends in a community that will accept him. If he backs you over the people he lives with
his whole life may turn miserable. I cant live in a place where people don't consider me a friend and more or less dislike me. That is probably what he is up against. The money don't mean shit in a situation like this.

In my opinion if you want to pay a guide or someone like that, get a guy who is in the policia nacional or at least has connections in the policia nacional, preferably a guy higher up in the policia nacional. A senior policia nacional officer will keep you out of trouble from the thieves, scammers and other policia nacional.

A street hustler may be able to show people around and translate, but when the shit hits the fan he will be useless.

I think the real reason it hard to get the service you want is that Sosua is just too small a village.exactly. When dominicans and gringo have disputes they will in most cases back each other bc I have heard them say ' I have to live here'. Meaning if I back you then I may get hell later. Coolie, this is why you have to drop jr. He will never have your back 100%. When you see him, buy him a beer and keep it moving. And him being haitian makes it worse.

Visitors to the Dominican Republic might want to consider hiring a professional driver during their stay in lieu of driving themselves. Licensed drivers who are familiar with local roads can be hired through local car rental agencies. In case of accidents, only the driver will be taken into custody

Even though you might be passenger in a Car or Moto flea the scene as soon as possible. They still might say you were driving just to get money out of you. Jump on moto walk to another taxi whatever you have to do to get out of there.

Ehunter, you seem to have a really good grasp of the way things work here in the DR. Do you live here or do you simply spend alot of time here?

All of your thoughts on how Junior handled the situation and what you would have done in his shoes is great. However, you must realize that in the DR you are dealing with a society of people that are not accustomed to being great decision makers. (Prime example: look at how they drive (Motorcycles included.))

Last year there was an article in the local newspaper where a study had been conducted that said that the majority of students entering university here can not spell and lacked good decision making skills. (This was Dominican doctors studying Dominicans.) Now, that is the portion of Dominican society that is educated and trying to better themselves with more education. Now, you have to look at Juniors situation. He is most likely uneducated, illiterate and also lacks the before-mentioned skill sets. In other words, you are entrusting your vacation to a broomstick handle.

Another note. Dominicans never learned the policy that the customer is always right. That is why the working girls try to dictate what is what is their dealings with you. A word to the wise would be to take that into consideration.

I have no problem renegotiating a deal if I am not satisfied even if it is after the fact. If it was TLN and she wants to leave in ST. She gets below ST money. If she ain't sucking I'm deducting

Lastly, if you are worried about having an issue with the police just make sure you keep a FOR THE POLICE MIL (1000) PESO on you at all times. A ***** can say whatever she wants to to the policeman. However, once you pull him to the side and give him HIS Mil (1000) pesos he is with you. I am not saying this as something I just pulled out my A$$. I have been stop by the police a few times in the years that I have been living here and the FOR THE POLICE MIL (1000) PESO has been my get out of trouble free card every time.

I hope that my knowledge from living here can help you. Have a great vacation!

I have to agree with Negro on this. My travels abroad especially in Latin America I have done this many a times. What I usually do to not disrespect I would ask if he had lunch or about to get off of work and would say "here guy, lunch or beer is on me cause I respect what you do" Never has failed.

What’s up with you and midgets...lmao. I see your on a mission to smash one. Now if I was Junior the next time you came down I rent a limo just to pick you up from the airport. And I would have a sexy midget waiting for u inside.

Ooh and I tell her to give you head while ur standing up in the sun roof of the limo. Free of charge.

Why would i pay out of pocket with no expectations? Simple. You have to spend money to make money. That little escapade would cost me about 150usd total but I just provided you with quality service and more importantly I fulfilled your fantasy which is the reason we come to sosua in the first place. Now even if I don't make that money back thru tips from u I guarantee if ur friends come into town ur going to recommend me and I'll make my money back on the back end

Yeah true but he still could have handled the situation and save face both ways. If I was him I would’ve paid out of my own pocket to get rid of the girl. Yeah Junior would’ve initially lost money but I would’ve definitely tip him well down the road cus he showed his true value and I wouldn't have known that he paid her. All I would’ve saw was that she's gone thank to junior

Junior knew that his chance of being taken care of properly was good cus I've always took care of him. That's why him paying out of his pocket to get rid of broad should have been no major.

I think he realized he fucked up and that's why he came cowering back. But after that he hardly got tip. I believe I tip him 500peso total after that situation.

Below is the pic of my Haitian Princess from my trip report day 1. Now if you notice on the backshot pix you can see that she’s standing in a corridor with her hands on the table. That’s the table where I first started to smash the princess before I was rudely interrupted

Anyone have any knowledge of the "Infiniti Blu Condo's"

I stayed at the El Neptuno last year and like the location and condo, but am staying a month this time , and saw the Infinit's listed .

Can anyone give me details on location if you stayed there or knew someone that has.

The photo's look great and want to know if it's worth a stay there.

Thanks in advance

Infiniti Blu is first class, however, it's not the best location if you like to be close to the action. It's a 35 peso concho to Pedro Clisante action, but much can be had in that area if you like to just roam around. You have Villas Carolina right across the street, and a Colmadon next to them. A lot of the working girls (better ones that can afford it) live there and frequent the Colmadon and roam in the day.

There are many options for monthly rates, I was just there for a month and paid $20 a night in a nice efficiency near 4 Roses Bar. I just arrived, stayed one night in Don Antonio, left my luggage in the room the first morning and walked around till I found it. Most of the hotels haven't figured out to lower prices with low occupancy, but the residences with apartments will negotiate just to get some money.

My suggestion is walk down toward Europa, take a right on the street in front of 4 Roses, and talk to Bibiano at Casa Angela. He's great guy, and the rooms are fantastic, safe, ac, pool, all you want.

The Tradewind condos are before the Palms, off the main road (airport road), going east from el batey, sosua, in the direction of cabarete. About a ten minute walk from classicos or a 3 minute moto ride.

I rented from some foreign woman (maybe Canadian) at the palms, I was told I could not bring any female guests to the pool. I saw older white women lounging at the pool with their much younger dominican boyfriends.

The one bedroom apartment I rented at the Palms had a small terrace. One night around 9pm, my wingman and I had two chicas visit the apartment. We sat outside on the terrace and were shooting the shit. No loud music, nothing crazy. The next day I had a nasty handwritten note sitting on the kitchen table, basically saying if I continued to make noise (the conversation on the terrace the night before was the noise), that I would be kicked out of the apartment and the money I had paid would not be refunded.

If you want a condo in that area, rent from Marco at Rocky's and get a one bedroom apartment at the tradewinds. I have taken chicas into the pool at the tradewinds at 4am and no one ever complained. When I stayed at the tradewinds, there were no safes in the apartment. Plenty of places in the apartment where you can hide stuff or buy a lock for your luggage. I don't recall the apartment at the Palms as having a safe either. The pool at the Tradewinds is much nicer than the pool at the Palms.

Since our forefather SavePros321 has blessed us with one of his lovely’s I figure I keep the pix sharing going.

Below is the pic of my Haitian Princess from my trip report day 1. Now if you notice on the backshot pix you can see that she’s standing in a corridor with her hands on the table. That’s the table where I first started to smash the princess before I was rudely interrupted
THANKS SO MUCH!! Congratulations of a great find! That is a truely stellar body man!! What would it take to share a few more shots of this brillant star!!
Cheers

This subject has been touched on numerous times, but I thought it’d be worth mentioning again. If you are someone who doesn’t give a damn about your personal appearance, START! Now, you may say “who gives a shit; I’m paying her money to fuck me so why should I care what she thinks?” All I have to say to that is it does make a very big difference in how your session may go with chicas.

This trip I was about 15lbs lighter than I was in March and even though I wasn’t very overweight then, I definitely was a lot slimmer now and it did not go unnoticed. There were times when I would literally have chicas attack me once we were in the room, and you can really tell if she is into by the way SHE bangs you, lol. One chica (in the photo lying on the bed) kept telling me how much she loved my legs and kept biting me on my ass; seriously. Before she went into the shower (I was coming out of the shower) she had me stand still as she started to bite my ass. The Haitiana in the brown stretch pants straight up told me after we ate “Come on, let’s go to your room. I’m going to fuck you now.”

Some of you may dread the thought of having to go outside in the hot ass sun and run a few laps; then don’t. I sure as hell don’t. The most I do is 15 on the elliptical machine, BUT I DO spend at least an hour to an hour and a half pumping iron. And I do not lift in order to get bigger; I only lift weights to tone up. I did this at least a month prior to going Sosua, so if you’ve got a month or two before you head out there then consider this possibility. No P90X DVD’s needed!

Pic s1 and k1 were taken in March at NG. i1 and p1 are from my most recent trip.

I certainly agree with this. The hardest thing for DR newbies to understand is that DR girls don't perform well in bed because they have a sense of professional responsibility or because they think it is good for business. No they fuck well if they like you or if they are sexually turned on.

It doesn't take a lot, but at least you should be clean, well dressed, have good personal hygiene, and in my opinion be generally professional in appearance so that you are perceived as a person of higher status. Being in good shape is an obvious plus, so is having decent teeth, and not reeking of tobacco or cigars. None of these things are a total deal breaker, but all of them may affect how well she pleasures you in the bedroom.

I assume that you have reasonable lovemaking skills, handle the girl gently etc. unless invited to be rough (my current squeeze likes to have her hair pulled, but don't do this unless you know she likes it).

Of course there are different styles of mongering and things may work well for others that don't work for me, but I find that treating them with respect, kindness, and humour usually does the trick. Of course there are some girls that nothing will work with, and they are best avoided.

Two weeks out I go natural in the gym, situps, pushups, pullups, cardio, this makes me feel more flexible for fucking.

I use my trimmer with the lowest safety blade to trim down low (the girls like it)and my arms (its easier to lie about my age without a few gray hairs showing.

And I put a "do not touch "sign on my dick.

I have to disagree that you want to convey a "certain status "because that can come off as arrogance also, which will turn her off. You want to be clean and natural.

Looks like we simply disagree on this one.

I would say that women of all types and nationalities are more turned on by men they perceive as being of higher status than themselves. (Just think of the evolutionary implications.) In Hispanic cultures I think this is even more so. It's not a question of being unfriendly, just a matter of showing confidence in your interactions and that you are used to being in charge.

Hence most mongers will probably do better trying to emulate Tiger Woods--one of the world's top rated mongers--than some kind of anti-authority figure from popular culture.

Of course even better to just be yourself and ignore fashions, styles, and role models, but not everyone has the charisma to be one of a kind.

First, thanks to all who post. There's a wealth of info here.

As you know (see previous posts) I got a novia my first time down there (or more likely she got me) and I enjoy the predictability of a week spent with someone who is dedicated to me 24/7. Picking me up at the airport with a Presidente and dropping me off with tears. We are out on the strip most nights so I am aware of all the other action some say I am missing. I have stepped out on a few occasions when she goes home in the afternoons, but never met another I would want around me for a whole week.

I am an older (single) guy but in good shape for my age and she is in her 20's, but with me mature, smart, honest, always dependable and trustworthy, and never a soap opera scene. I've said before when we go out I give her my wallet, and I always come back with more money than I would if I was picking up tabs. How many mongers here would or could do that?

We share a sense of humour about our relationship and I send her emails telling her it's my birthday, grandma died, I need a new computer, apartment burned down, I need to pay for internet and electric bill etc, so she knows I know "the game". I'm quite happy to leave it down there.

I should point out she lives permanently a long way from any resort with her mother and her bambina, and when I was there, there wasn't a tourist to be seen.

Anyway, last time down with a buddy over drinks he asks how many times I have been down and stayed with her (and sometimes her various families in different towns) Then he asks why doesn't she come visit me? She jumps at that of course, and over a few beers I say maybe this summer.

Now she's got a visa and want's to come up north (I buy the ticket of course). It's not really that presumptuous of her because down there she opens up her whole life, her room, and family to me. Also it's cheaper than going down there and I live alone, so why not? That's the big question, and I'm breaking new ground here.

So she's coming up in a couple of weeks and I'll let you know how it pans out.

Feel free to warn me about things I may not have considered.

If you look like you need to scratch every bit of value from your bucks, you obvously can do less for them, and their attitude will show it. Hard work for them.

I suppose the compromise is to look reasonably affluent, but spend your hard earned money carefully and selectively.

I love the comment about getting in shape before you go down there. That's a value added lasting benefit from mongering that will add years and vitality to your life (It has mine)

Your leaving alot out.How long have you known this lady?Whats the situation with the bambinos padre?Where did you meet her?You said its never a soap opera, this worrys me the most because they all will have a moment where there is drama.Unless you never tell her no with her demands.

Keep us posted im interested in the outcome.

Finally I bought a cheap ticket to Puerto Plata. This is my first time in the DR, otherwise I've been almost anywhere.

To let you understand the general climate since the beginning, the immigration officer that stamped my passport ask for a little gift. I make a very surprised face and say "Oh, por favor!", it ends there.

Since I like to travel on a budget, I take a moto ride to the Sousa for 150p. That BTW is same as the current gas price per gallon.

As I come in town I realize how small this place really is. Everything is in within no more than two blocks. I stay at the Orchidee hotel for $25, the manager is a swiss former police officer, straight guy. Wireless works great and the room is ok for the price. I don't care for A/C but bring insect repellent and soothing cream as you will be bitten. In general, food seemed poor and overpriced, I find a freshly opened restaurant down the street, breakfast is 100p, combo quarter pound burger, fries and beer 200p. It's the one with seafood tanks on the pillars.

Now for the women. Sure there are are many, the bad news is that 9 out of 10, I would not touch even if paid. The good news is that since I need one only, I was able to find a decent 21yr without too much of a sticking butts and belly, that is to be the norm here. I give her 1,000p after a couple pops (was too tired for more) and there was no upselling. She said that now she knows me, she will blow me dry next time. The funny thing is that I don't really care after all.

I think I will chill out here just a bit longer then take off, not sure where but there is more DR than this and I got to see it yet.

Thanks Jaosoua, Mr. Gogo, and others who responded to my condo question. What I REALLY want to know is why haven't some of the places updated their television sets? I look at some of the photos of recommended condos and most of them have little 13' TV sets! Who the hell wants to watch cable on a 13 inch? Hell even NG has a larger set (27 inch or more I think it was in the new wing) and TL has flatscreens (they weren't large, but at least their up to date, lol).

What's up with that?

I never really thought about the size of a TV until reading your post. I guess the last thing I need is some chica flipping channels for novellas and MTV videos. I have been in rep dom three days now and haven't turned the TV on yet.

BTW TVs are twice the price in the DR compared to the USA. I think this has a lot to do with out dated TVs in hotels.

At the beginning there's something misleading:
"overwhelmed by sex workers and white foreigners seeking an array of vices on a budget.
Every time I go to Sosua I see plenty of black American men there too. Could it be that whoever researched that book thought they were Dominicanos?

What's up with that?I hardly ever watch TV in dom rep, when I have, many times the cable reception is bad, this has occurred in condos as well as in all inclusive hotels in dom rep.

My last trip I stayed at the Intercontinental V Centenario hotel in Santo Domingo, not a cheap hotel. The girlfriend wanted to watch TV, she turned on the TV and nothing. She called the front desk and they sent up a guy to fix it. He disconnected the modem and reconnected it, a loading screen came on the tv, he said the tv would work after the modem had loaded. The TV never worked. The same screen saying loading was still on the screen the next morning.

I have to agree with BQ Ribs, the chicas will want to watch novellas, or variety shows or music videos, some 20 year old chicas enjoy watching the cartoon channel.

Some bars in Sosua will show American sports. I have watched American baseball on the back side wall of the merengue bar (below classicos). I watched basketball on the wall of some other bar on Pedro Clisante. Bars in Sosua will show American football on Sundays as well as European soccer.

I usually bring along some dvd movies that I can play on my laptop for the chicas to watch. I try to find the dvd's that have Spanish language in addition to English.

I brought with me one time, dvd's of the HBO series "Rome". I left the GF in the apartment one night alone and she watched about 7 hours of "Rome" in Spanish. I was showing a newbie around Santo Domingo.

LOL. The funny thing is that I don't even own a TV set here in the States. If I watch anything it's on my laptop.

This was the first trip where I actually found myself watching television, and it was only when my main chica was over. I guess I was only really interested because of the fact that the shows she were watching (popular in the US such as Keen and Kel, iCarly, Get Smart, etc.) were all in Spanish. It was very interesting to not understand a word being said on screen but have an idea of what was going on based on the body language and expressions.

Another thing that made it fun was that I introduced her to sunflower seeds. Anytime I watch a DVD I always eat seeds, and told her to give them a try. At first she was like "their okay." When I came out of the shower there was a pile of empty shells next to her. "Just okay, huh?" (lol).

The hotels I have stayed in (NG, TL) all have nice sized TV sets. I just was wondering why condo owners hadn't updated theirs as well.

And I agree with you 110% about A/C, WiFi, and fridge. I am a person who sweats alot (A/C) so I always need cold water (fridge). The need for internet goes without saying. I was also glad to find Gatorade in the DR because I caught the worst charlie horse I've ever had since high school. It it came right after climaxing at 4ish in the damn morning, lol.

Something in me has me believing that not all girls want to be out there hooking. Some have to do it because of circumstance I am sure. If there are no jobs for her to work at (hell, look at the jobs report that just came out today here in the States) and the only way for her to make money to feed her family or kid is to sleep with foreigners, then that's what's going down.

It is hard to imagine that every single girl in Sosua is trying to make hooking a career. Why would she want to sleep with 3-4 different fat slob gringos every day/night for a good portion of her life?

That being said, I am almost positive that there are a good number of women their waiting for a nice gringo to take her out of the life. I don't see why some of you think that with all women the case is "once a hoe, always a hoe." Some guys sell drugs to put themselves through college and then stop (some don't). Some women strip to put themselves through school and then get out of the game once they've accomplished their goal (some don't know when to quit). If Oakie is going to be the one to take her out of the game, then maybe she can now breath easier knowing that she can close that chapter of her life. If she doesn't appreciate what Oakie is doing for her and decides to try to have it both ways, then it will be her fault if he decides to leave her ass there in DR. Let her be the one to say she fucked up a good deal.

Life is a hustle. The trick in life is not to get hustled. People have to do what they have to do to get by. We all may soon see this reality if shit keeps going the way it does in the US, economy-wise. If you don't believe me then just take a look at the numbers on Wall Street at the closing of the bell for today...

Your logic comes from your point of view, not the puta. As it stands now, those of us who fall for the BS are just fools to be taken advantage of, and that they do. As a man, I really feel bad when one of us is played, and that gives us (foreigners) a bad name. Why would anyone want to get involved with a puta?

There was a 60 plus gringo in another forum who decided to marry a 20 something puta. He was told not to do it by a few of us. He even joked that because people thought it was doomed from the beginning, he'd better not get married. He married in December and by March he was telling us "I just found out that while I was away, she was still "working". At the end, he believed her BS and stayed with her. That's a no-no for us Latinos. Tarrudos are in the same class than faggots. They get no respect and a lot of laughs!

At the beginning I tried to help one. I didn't do it for love, but out of pity (she said she didn't want to sleep with men anymore). I got all the "I love you", "I miss you" BS, and how important I was for her, but when she talked about me, I was just the man who helps me.

Since then, I took a different aproach to the matter. I didn't create their problem, so I don't have to be their savior.

Not matter how tough things are, there's always a way out. The solution to every problem is in the individual's mind. It happens that most always take the "easy way out" which it's always the hardest.

Some how I got the feeling that you're also a hopeful. Good luck. You're gonna need it.

As a side note, let me clear something. I assume that those traveling out there for the putas are, at least, like me or better. I might sound snobby, but I don't think an uneducated puta (not even an educated one) could be an acceptable match for me, but it occur to me that some of you are on par with those ladies. My advice is not for you.

There has been alot of upgrades in Sosua this year.

New Garden upgraded their safes from keyed to Digital for those people who can't keep track of their key or don't swap their keys with their wingman [idiot proof]. I know they also did other upgrades.

Palms is upgrading rooms to include digital safes, wi fi and a/c.

As far as tvs I have never turned one on in 13 years or got into a pool.

Oh Oh!i really wish you luck. But i think you are in for a big surprise.Your taking a woman out of her culture and introducing her to a new one.Asians are good for this because they are more submissive and traditional.Dominicanas are not this. What happens when she gets home sick, what happens if there is not a Dominican culture where you live? What happens when a young latino excites her and you dont?Correct me if im wrong but if you sponsor her doesnt that make you responsible(financially)?

Your leaving alot out.How long have you known this lady?Whats the situation with the bambinos padre?Where did you meet her?You said its never a soap opera, this worrys me the most because they all will have a moment where there is drama.Unless you never tell her no with her demands.

Keep us posted im interested in the outcome. Thanks, you've made some good points here, Mr GG.

My (only) exit strategy is that she will be here for only two weeks, on vacation. I figure I can handle that period of time and if things go to shit I'm prepared to cut her off permanently. I think I can do that because I would have those reasons you mention?

Yeah, met her in Sosua of course, so P4P has been established. No set price, I pay what I have budgeted for the trip and I count dinero paid to family for lodging, beer and bar b que, birthdays etc, towards the total spent. She gets the credit for it with her family but sometimes there's not much left for her at the end of the trip.

Known her for about a year and a half and been down there six or seven times. I posted my first report here the first time I met her, and several reports since. Bambina's Papa is in another country and there's no relationship there.

I don't want to be too specific with names and places, but evrything I post here is exactly as it happens, I'm not trying to embelish it here, but it's been good so far, and that's why I keep it up. The only young Dominicas she talks to are her family, regular connections like taxi, moto, waiters etc, and I'm always introduced and part of the conversation. Believe me, I know when guys are making a pitch and vice versa (we can smell those things) and it just doesn't happen with her, so far.

The only thing thing a little unusual is that she says she will be up here in two weeks, no problem, for the price of a ticket. Now I'm no visa expert, but it seems to me there would be a fair bit of work with me involved to sponsor her here.

Oh well, we'll see how that goes. Worst case scenario is that she won't come up here and keep the money for the ticket. Then I'm outa here.

As a man, I really feel bad when one of us is played, and that gives us (foreigners) a bad name. Why would anyone want to get involved with a puta?

Dude, you might as well applied that statement to every single woman in the world. What's the difference between a pro who sleeps with multiple men for money, or a non pro who sleeps with multiple men for pleasure?

It seems like you have a problem with women because you are afraid she is going to cheat on you. Too bad that EVERY WOMAN, be they pro, former pro, non pro will cheat on you if she decides to (Desperate Housewives ring a bell?). There is nothing you can do to stop this. Not even if you decide to go out to some bum fuck town and marry an 18 year old virgin from the sticks. She could be the most educated gal in the whole town; doesn't mean she's automatically deemed smart enough to control her sexual urges. Once you bring her to the big city anything is possible.

Labeling people as "hopefuls" does nothing for your argument. You are basically telling everyone to never fall in love with anyone. I am almost 99.9% positive this board is filled with guys who have been married and divorced to gringas. Ask them what the difference is between a puta and a non pro and they probably don't have an answer for you:

-Will a non-pro have another guy in your house while you are At work? Out of town? On tour in Iraq (servicemen)?

-Will a non-pro give YOUR money to her broke ass baby daddy when she takes the snotty-nosed brat over to see him?

-Would a non-pro fuck your brother or best friend just because she saw him "looking good at the family picnic?"

I could go on forever with this. At least a pro is smart enough to charge for her services. A non-pro can fuck whoever she wants, whenever she want, all on your dime.

Talk to servicemen. When I was in the Navy I would always see dudes marry their "high school sweethearts" and then later ask themselves "damn, was I high?" Guy comes back from deployment and she's everybody's girl now and half the entire base has ran through her. The silliest part about it is she's giving it up for free! And it doesn't matter that she tells him he is the only one for her when he calls to check in. I've known guys who had been lying in bed with other females as she talks to her husband AND her kid on the phone.

So again, don't think you are catching a lucky break if you decide to marry a woman who has never hooked before. She could still be the biggest **** the neighborhood and could have been the talk of the locker room way back when. No matter how educated she may be...

Funny how we all have our special little things we like in a hotel. For me I have to have in room WiFi, A/C, and a frig. I never really thought about the size of a TV until reading your post. I guess the last thing I need is some chica flipping channels for novellas and MTV videos. I have been in rep dom three days now and haven't turned the TV on yet.Hey Mr BQR:

Those TVs are great for us older guys who need something for the chicas to do while we are trying to recharge for a second pop!

This needs to be be bronzed and put at the top of every forum!! Just because your girlfriend/wife never worked as a prostitute doesnt mean she was never a hoe!!

And you are 100% correct about service men's wives. Every single wife of a service man that I knew, was fucking the same night he was deployed!! There is absolutely no such thing as a loyal military man's wife. I know everybody with think "Yeah, but my wife is different"! LOL

Me too!

That's what you fool yourself to believe!

Nothing to warn you about it. You're the luckiest guy on this planet. You found the only good, honest puta around.

How long before you start the "I was used BS"? I'd say sooner than later.

I always remember a guy who said "once you fish them out and enjoy the catch, the best you can do is to send them back to the pond".

If you can't make a woman within your age bracket from your own country and cultural background to fall in love with you, your chances with a foreigner is...well, let's say that your chances of beating Kimbo in a MMA bout are better!

Hey I hear ya!

I've been married twice, and seen it all.

And yes there are a few women within my own "age bracket" that would love to get together with me permanently. But, shit, who needs some old washed up broad, when there's those young smooth bodies available to us for a song? I didn't make up the rules, and maybe life's not fair.

So the way I figure it, she's playing me like a violin and I love the music. It's within my travel budget, so what the hell?

You'll be the first to know when it all goes into the crapper.

And it may help some newbie fool, who, like me, looked at Sosua thru rose colored glasses. But hey! we'll all find out in a month or so.

This discussion concerning marrying Putas is funny as hell to me. You wouldn't marry an european nor american Hooker? Why would you think to marry a Dominican regardless of her economic situations? Sorry to tell you guys but of a nation of 7 million chicas, 500,000 engaged in prostitution at some point aint a majority; Especially in a country where prostitution is legal. There are literally millions of Dominican women not selling puzzy. Most Dominican women take marriage more seriously than their world cohorts (Hello Catholic). However, we have many confusing having a sex object rather than a true mutually benificial relationship outside of sexual gratification. (im here for the gratification to keep it real) You really got to ask yourself; "why am I marrying this woman?" Big Head or Little Head?

I know quite a few Dominican American couples where their wives are a mans dream as they put their husbands needs first and are completely faithful. (i know a couple that are complete sluts fugging out of both pants for free. They are the few minority) Lets stop the generalizations and look at the reality of whats going on and what we are doing. 40 to 50ish dude with a 20ish chica is going to have issues everywhere.

*Sidenote: If she has a kid by someone not you, its an extreme likelyhood you will never be her true novia. That baby-daddy vs. baby-momma shit is a *****. That my Generalization!

At the beginning there's something misleading:
Every time I go to Sosua I see plenty of black American men there too. Could it be that whoever researched that book thought they were Dominicanos?

Wow! I like how we are disparaged by some sayings blacks are not as desired by Dominicans. However, when a hit piece comes out they want to ensure we are pulled into the group. Wow! Dont worry, mens magazine, essence and ebony got us blacks in 2004,07 & 09. And yes most whites that have not traveled broadly nor have had extensive friendships/interactions with blacks ignorantly assume we are dominicans or haitian.

i got no problem with peer women. this is absolutely true (you can pm me for pictures) my last two long term relationships were with a phd in education, and an international lawyer (i helped with their thesis). both attractive white women and both were world travellers.

i ended both relationships because i was just an essential accessory in their lives, like a frig or a stove, it was all abouit me giving good advice and always being there when they were down. i know lots of married women who are only with guys for convenience or economic support and i don't see a lot of fun in their lives.

i dedicated my life to bringing up a family and running a business. it was all about others well being. i served my time well.

now in my last few years, i want it to be a little bit more about me, and the sosua connection does that for me.

this chica knows what a man needs in his life and knows how to give it to him, and i'm not talking abouit sex here. in that sense she is more knowlegable that all the "educated" broads combined, and we both have a lot of fun with the relationship. (so far)

I do not disagree with anything you've said here. I only like to point out that shit will happen regardless.

We (had) a friend in our group once who you could call one of the "Rico Suave" types. In his arsenal was good looks, and spoke very good English that he tied in well with his Argentinian accent. His problem? Well, homie had a habit of banging other dudes girlfriends/wives. And it wasn't that he was intentionally out there looking for affairs; the women almost always initiated the tryst.

This guy has been kicked, punched, shot at, and sliced. His excuse? "Man, I can help it if women find me attractive and want to sleep with me. And I'm not one to turn down free punani..."

The subject of marrying putas vs. non-pros may be silly, but no one is safe as long as those type of guys roam the earth, lol. All a woman needs is idle time and opportunity with a little lust stirred in to have a man going through a bottle of Malox every night.

If eveyone's fear of marrying an ex-puta is that she may cheat on you, well then we all can breath a bit easier. So long as shows like "Desparate Housewives" and movies like "Sex in the City" are around, women will always view sleeping around with multiple men as "sexual liberation" (check out the Spike Lee joint "She's Gotta Have It." Babe in the flick was no hooker, but there is no doubting that she was definitely a hoe. AND she was giving it up for free, lol!).

All in all, I think we could all stand to benefit from this timeless bit of advice:

(sing along everyone)

A sad truth, especially if she is still in contact with him. No one wins in a situation like this. All you can hope is that all goes as smoothly as possibly and that she doesn't one day feel that it would be best for her kid if he (and her) was with his biological father as one happy family.

Yep! Shit happens but you don’t have to go reaching in a toilet looking for a good woman then act surprised when you pull out a Ho. It’s about the demographics of the population evaluated. The probability of finding a Ho in population of prostitution is obviously high! Don Juan aka Jody is every man in every countries enemy. The issue is when Tom, Petter, Jack and the Butcher have opportunties at your lady.

-Just saying!

Not to mention or call anyone on here out but there are a couple Gents on here beating the absolute breaks off of some you guys supposed Novias. As earlier stated, don't go looking for respect for you or your Chica when that same chica took a load to the face just 30 minutes before your plane landed. Ask any of the ex-pats living there permanently. Unless your there 24-7 365 she aint yours. Ho's got to eat n got to have it; especially the young ones. You want fidelity from a puta? You’re not going to get it until they are at that tipping point where age and competition reduces options. You can cancel any thought of Fidelity if you take her to a place where she is back at the top of the population. Dominicans are bad but not the worst. Have a couple of conversations with guys that have brought Brazilians back to the states or to Europe. The lack of a moral compass and willingness to do what it takes to survive or put her at a socioeconomic advantage will always take over. Yes,I am going to say it, meeting families mean shit. Most Hos come from a family of Hos! You got to eat? You do what you got to do and use what you have. In all cases from agrarian to industrial communities, the biggest assets of impoverished people are their kids.

Best thing happen to me 10 years ago was meeting an ex-pat named Charlie on my 30th birthday while at Jenny’s changing money. 120 presidentes, 12 chicas and 7 days later of vivid examples, the term Novia does not exist in my Lexicon. I prefer the term "Regional confidant." I understand that I am a temporary means. As long as you’re happy, I love it! Just stop commenting on us guys that are simply looking to bust and leave. I don’t want to hear that shit when I am on Holiday wit my dawgs! You strip away the pretense and go at these women with real conversation and understanding; they will brutally break it down to many of your absolute dismay. Whether you’re ugly and fat or cute and skinny you’re a trick to them. The most important thing to them is your money and ability to take care of them. The only disconcerting issues are Hygiene and personality. An asshole is an Asshole no mater how much money you have or how you look. And if you can’t bother to bath your ass, your actions show a glaring disregard for yourself much less has the Gaul to comment on others.

She could still be the biggest **** the neighborhood and could have been the talk of the locker room way back when. No matter how educated she may be...Save, I have to agree with you on this one. I think in essence you have to be cautious with anyone you marry. One thing you have to be sure of is making sure you and the chica are friends and can you relate to each other. I think if the age gap is like over mmmmm 15 yrs, then maybe it may not work. Doesn't matter where the chica is from. I also think if one was to marry a puta a haitiana may be better 'coverted'. Lolol. But bottom line, the way I see latinas, if you are not a alfa male it is just not going to work out- puta or not. I think there are some chicas that you can take off the streets but you do have to have money and you have to be an alfa male. One thing we must understand too, women are the sneakiest creatures on the planet. I don't care if she was/is a nun. Guess what? She is still a woman. Not to sound like a pimp but my theory is this. Women will like and they will love you but to get a woman on your team 100%, she has to believe in you and if as a man, you do not feel she believes in you then you need to find a chica who does and this applies to putas and non putas. This is why the churches are filled with women bc they like to believe in things and be apart of a program. But overall FRIENDSHIP is important. Fuk the titles for about 6 mos to a year. Just be friends and see if she keeps in contact with you and is concerned about your well-being.

excellent observation!i also want to add what is very important also is understanding you first of all- what you need and want and why and also understanding the pathology of her mentality. and this applies to a chica from anywhere. was she molested or raped?, how does she view her father?, did her father and mother have a loving relationship?. etc. why? because this will show you for the most part how far or close she is from being 'whole'. and if your woman has been molested/raped and comes from a dysfunctional family then she may need counseling. in my opinion most of us in the western hemisphere need some kind of counseling. i think we for the most part avoid the most important things we shld be looking at and get caught into the hype or ego and poke out our chest thinking we have the cutest little thing at home but forget to related to our barbie on the levels that are the most important. her mental make up. this is why i said earlier we must be friends first without the strings attached (no money. try to talk about other things other than putting your dick in her ass. etc) and then see what you have. also, if you do marry a puta or non puta, when she comes to america, what will be her profession? you do not want a chica sitting at home on the internet and watching jerry springer all day. also, is there a dominican population where you are for her to go out and relate to.

i said all this to say that i think marriage to any woman is hard if you do not understand what you divinely need and want as a man and accepting where you are and you must know the woman you are marrying inside and out. her mental make up is the most important. i think if you can get the basics down then having a sucessful marriage with a puta is very possible. but lets just be real tho. if you are 50 and your chica is 25, more than likely it is not going to work. if you are living in the middle of nebraska and your chica is at home all day bored. most likely its not going to work. if your a short distance running and your chica is a long distance running(not sexually compatible). then most likely its not going to work. like richard pryor said ' if you get finished fuking and your woman wants to talk about computer chips, then you gots more fuking to do! I think for the most part you are just a trick to them if you can't relate to them (too old, no conversation other than sex, can't communicate with them bc of the language barrier, maybe in looks she is for the most part a 9 and you are a 5. Etc), also when you fuk them, you fuk them like they are putas. Then you will be a trick and will always be a trick. I have had many chicas come back and give me pussy for free bc I do talk and joke with them and when we fuk, I do not fuk them like a trick. And they all say the same thing 'u don't fuk me like I am a puta'. But I am also an alfa male and I am a handsome devil so that adds to my swagger also. I am not saying you can play captain save a hoe with all of them but I am saying if you make a true connection then there are possibilities.

Not to mention or call anyone on here out but there are a couple Gents on here beating the absolute breaks off of some you guys supposed Novias. As earlier stated, don't go looking for respect for you or your Chica when that same chica took a load to the face just 30 minutes before your plane landed. Lmfao. Now that's some funny shit. That reminds me of a discussion I had with my boy recently. I'm showing pics of my girl to him and he was like, "Man be lucky I didn't see her when I was in Sosua cus I would've beaten the breaks off that pussy"! He's serious and I'm not mad at him.

Dude, you might as well applied that statement to every single woman in the world. What's the difference between a pro who sleeps with multiple men for money, or a non pro who sleeps with multiple men for pleasure? If she's around your age and you treat her right, you have a slight chances of having a wive for life with a non-pro. With a pro your chances are none.

It seems like you have a problem with women because you are afraid she is going to cheat on you.Not really, as a matter of fact, I can't complain about my success with women but I haven't have any success with putas (no surprise there). I'm not concerned about the "cheating" thing, if she does, I'm free and there's nothing better than that!

Labeling people as "hopefuls" does nothing for your argument. You are basically telling everyone to never fall in love with anyone. That wouldn't be a bad thing. Love will make you weak...unless you love yourself first. When you love yourself, you won't take shit from no woman.

I am almost 99.9% positive this board is filled with guys who have been married and divorced to gringas. Ask them what the difference is between a puta and a non pro and they probably don't have an answer for you:I'm still married but separated (my choice) and I have nothing against my wife. When things don't go your way, it's your fault. I take respossibility. Would those "divorced" gringos say the same thing? I bet they blame the wives!

-Will a non-pro have another guy in your house while you are At work? Out of town? On tour in Iraq (servicemen)? If you can't trust your wife, and you always sense when something ain't right, just be alone and play the bar game.

Don't get married until you finish your "war game". When you get married is to be with your wive and kids.

So again, don't think you are catching a lucky break if you decide to marry a woman who has never hooked before. She could still be the biggest **** the neighborhood and could have been the talk of the locker room way back when. No matter how educated she may be...Man, go and marry your puta. If all you can aspire in your life is to be with an uneducated, third world puta, that's your problem. As for me, I rather be alone and jack-off!

I'm just trying to help other men by warning them about the putas, why are you trying to do otherwise?

The reality in dealing with any long distance relationship is that she’s going to have sex with another man. If you live in DR and are together for real then that's a different story. And since your in another country odds are fellas your not going to be faithful to her either. So it comes down to how u want to care it. Some kats don't want to know what there girl does while he's not in DR and other kats want to know the truth

Me I want the truth. It's already a damn dream world when you come to Sosua or any where else in DR. This is a place where you can instantly meet a gorgeous female that will have sex with you on the same day and she’ll treat you like a king the instant she meets you. But for me if I want a relationship to work and grow then I need the truth. B***h don't gas me about the fact u haven’t slept with nobody since I last was here. Nor will I gas you on the fact that I haven't been with another female since I left

To each there own gents. If you think she might be the one then go for it. As long as your honest with your self and can handle the truth when it arises then you'll be fine.

Whoa, don't be jinxing me with the "M" word, lol. I am still in my twenties, so I am a loong ways off from even entertaining the thought. There is still Santiago, Santo Dominigo, as well as Colombia and Brazil to visit!

I think we lost track of the initial conversation, which was that Oakie said he found a novia. My only question was that if he and she decided to get married and he took her back to the States, then why are we to assume that it wouldn't work? She's not expected to have to hook any more, else he probably wouldn't marry her to begin with.

If the problem is her "past" then he already knows what she was about. Try figuring that out with the chick sitting in the front row pew at church on Sunday morning...the one you just saw shaking ass on the dance floor not even two nights ago!

And maybe it's just me, so I apologize in advance if I just don't get it. But honestly, I don't see the difference between the two other than that one charges for her services (see my previous post for a multitude of other comparisons). Let's examine this further: Pro vs. Paris Hilton since she seems to be the poster child of the "girls just wanna have fun" gringa.

Pro:
-Poor. Lives in a third world country

Paris Hilton:
-Rich. Lives where ever she wants to

Pro:
-Will fuck you, your brother, your uncle, your cousin, and your grandpa, so long as they have the money

Paris Hilton:
-Will fuck you, your brother, your uncle, your cousin, and your grandpa, so long as she thinks they are hot

Pro:
Possibility a video or two could surface on the net of her sucking someone off.

Paris Hilton:
Possibility of a video or two could surface on the net of her having coke snorted off of her belly. Oh, and of her sucking off her best friend's ex-husband

Imagine marrying a gal like Paris before finding out her background much later. I'm sure her husband would be like "Damn b*tch, why didn't you warn me you used to be a filthy s!ut?? Holy shit!!"

It seems the message I am getting is that all is good SO LONG AS she was never a prostitute, which is hilarious to me.

"Gringa Cum Dumpster: Hey, at least she's not a prostitute!" It reminds me of that poster I would always see in the mall that says "Marijuana: Hey, at least it's not crack!"

I agree with the above but dont mistake game for infatuation. Its like giving away samples of products. I can forgo short term profit for long term gain. Communication is key but make no mistake, people only tell you what they think you can handle. My spanish is good and my dawgs is horrible. However, all had freebies offered. I know/watched my dawgs beast fuck several Chicas we had to kick out and none of my dawgs could say hello to a cat. Its the same game in america that has worked from america to venrzuela. Treat people right with respect and honor but dont forget the enviroment or socioeconomic circumstances that your dealing with. You can put people down, take advantage of them or
try and lift them up. We prefer to take advantage of the situation but help as much as we can to make their life or dealing with us as advantagous as possible. As stated, you can look like rico suave and have a personality of a dick; alternatively, can you look like keenan from S&L and have every chick you meet try to novio you ?

Just my opinion:

Something in me has me believing that not all girls want to be out there hooking. Some have to do it because of circumstance I am sure. If there are no jobs for her to work at (hell, look at the jobs report that just came out today here in the States) and the only way for her to make money to feed her family or kid is to sleep with foreigners, then that's what's going down.
I remember being a kid listening in on a conversation between my aunt and my mother. My mother was saying how gross prostitution is and she would never do anything like that. My aunt said, "Shit. Never say never. You don't know what you will do until you are not able to feed your kids."

Your logic comes from your point of view, not the puta. As it stands now, those of us who fall for the BS are just fools to be taken advantage of, and that they do. Not matter how tough things are, there's always a way out. The solution to every problem is in the individual's mind. It happens that most always take the "easy way out" which it's always the hardest. You have to figure that the ratio of hookers to poor people is grossly inproportionate. So what are the rest of the poor people doing if they are not hookers? How are they surviving?

As a side note, let me clear something. I assume that those traveling out there for the putas are, at least, like me or better. I might sound snobby, but I don't think an uneducated puta (not even an educated one) could be an acceptable match for me, but it occur to me that some of you are on par with those ladies. My advice is not for you.Yesterday I went out bowling here in Thailand with some puta friends of mine. There was a Black American newbie with one puta associate of mine. I was trying to pull his coat on how the system works at the same time as we were at the table with the girls. They speak good English so I had to try to talk fast and in slang. Of course his girl asked me what we were talking about. I told her that we were talking about life. I told him that most of the girls have the education of a 10 year old. Why the fuck would you fall in love with them, marry them, and bring them back home? Because they are pretty? Because they are cool? All they will be able to do is run up your bills. They will add absolutely no value to you. As a matter of fact they will give you negative value because you will be taking on a liability without any gaining any assets.

He said that she had taken him to her brother's house which is a shack and about 8 people live in it. Also he wanted to know if they really help their family with the money. I told him that most of the world lives on top of each other in less than desirable conditions. We westerners are fucking spoiled. In most other cultures when people move away from home they still are obliged to help their family. In American culture we move away from home at 18 or 19 years old and might require help FROM our family every now and then.

He said that he had told the girl he wasn't going to deal with her anymore and she started crying. I said you are damn right. You are her meal ticket. I don't know about you but if I went in to work tomorrow and my boss told me my services are no longer needed then I would be crying like a b*tch, getting on my knees begging and everything. They don't know where their next meal is coming from. Here in Pattaya there is an extremely conservative estimate of 10,000 working girls. Some say 20,000. Everyone will not be able to find employment every day. So crying to try to save ones job is a smart move and probably comes from the heart.

Never enjoyed the american women(french quarter at Orleans may be an exception but then prohibitivly expensive)

Let's examine this further: Pro vs. Paris Hilton since she seems to be the poster child of the "girls just wanna have fun" gringa.I'm thinking there's a moral difference between a hooker back home and a hooker in some hell hole country.

Back home, she has choices in education, jobs and can probably find a guy to marry who will be faithful to her, or at least discreet. If she turns out on the street she deserves to be called all those terrible names some use here.

Down there she has no education, maybe a serving job, which if she's pretty, she will be expected to give it up to the boss. Even then it's not a reasonable living wage. With no education, she's hard pressed to find a Dominican husband who will retain interest in her after she's 21, or dropped a bambiono or two. So her choices are limited to say the least.

We, all of us, market what we've been blessed with to get ahead in this world and remember, we only get one shot at life.

Some of us market our brain, some our brawn, some our talent so who's to say that a chica with no choices in life shouldn't market her youth?

To me the only difference between Lady Di, Madonna, J-Lo, Paris and my poor novia is that they have money and she doesn't. No moral difference at all, and yet they are venerated as stars.

In my swingle single mingle days (before AIDS) I caught a lot of stuff from some very upscale girls.

Worst I get from my chica is her cold.

Those here who denigrate the very ones they pay to sleep with have no right to some phony moral high ground.

To me, a john is no better or worse than a hooker.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted:

My friend emailed me and said TL told him that the $55 was a promotional rate and is no longer available. All in all I was glad to have been "get'in it while the get'in was good."

If the new prices are too pricey then here is a list of alternate chica-friendly hotels:

http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showpost.php?p=984316&postcount=124

Sad to say the accomodations don't seem to be all that much better though. New Garden is probably going to be the best alternative. List is provided by Ehunter and is current as of Feb 2010. He's going to have to go back and update his listing for TL.

*Sidenote: I walked over to Sosua Bay hotel with my wingman because he was thinking of staying there. The chica at the front desk told him (for the non-all inclusive side) that the WiFi is not free. I forgot what the price was but it is only 2 hours of Internet access.

If the best rate I could get at Terra Linda was $69 for a queen bed, or worse, $89 for the rooms with a king or 2 queens, I would have stayed at El Rancho, which is also new, and was asking $45 a night. But I'm not surprised that Terra Linda has raised their rates. I knew that they would once they started filling up.

They were definitely trying to do anything to get things jump started. When I was there several weeks back, it was $55 a night.. but anything over a one week stay was $45 a night. They were still about 1/3 occupancy, while the New Garden was full.

It's all word of mouth and regulars that make the difference I think.

The really sad thing is that you can get a jacuzzi suite at NG for $79 a night (if you pay cash) plus an electric safe, and larger (though not flat-panel like the ones at TL) TV, plus free breakfast also and they are on the ground floor (I've stayed in one twice).

The King bed room at TL is exactly that; a room with a King bed. Plus they are all on the third floor. I wouldn't exactly call that a selling point, lol. But there is no denying that they hold the advantage as far as location goes.

I stayed there 5 weeks ago they tried giving me the 69 night rate after 55 two times prior. I got my bag to walk out and they lowered it to 59 night cash. I think you just have to put your puta negociating skills on the hotel staff to get rate lowered.

Make sure you get the double queen rooms on first floor king rooms on 3rd floor are not as nice.

I had a reservation at Sosua bay but after I checked it out I had to pass and stayed at Terra Linda (paid 59/nite cash, too bad they raised prices). The wi fi at Sosua bay was reasonable price (prepaid) but you had to come out to the common areas to use it and the rooms to me seemed really aloof and the whole setup looked too boring for a monger compared to New Garden or Terra Linda.
Terra Linda was great except for the food (the free breakfast was crap and Salmon off the menu was the worst I've ever had). Go down the road ro La Finca or Baileys, great food, New Garden is not bad too.

And it may help some newbie fool, who, like me, looked at Sosua thru rose colored glasses. But hey! we'll all find out in a month or so.Well said!!!

You're good man. Just go with the Queen bed room. Actually their price of $69 is the same price as a room in the new wing at NG (not the jacuzzi suites). I think the only real problem most of us have with TL was that the price went up. Terra Linda originally was charging over $80 when they first opened up. They were not getting the business so they lowered the prices. Two of my friends were paying $55 a night. When I changed hotels I was being charged $60. A correction officer I met mentioned to me that he stayed at one hotel and he changed to Terra Linda. He walked in and was able to get $50 for the night. When I was snowbound because returning flights to New York were cancelled I asked the owner for a lower rate and he talked to his management. They gave me $55 for the last couple of nights. In other words, do not be surprised if others are staying there at cheaper prices. Things might have changed since I was last there so ask other mongers when you get there. The owners have alot of overhead since they built it from scratch so prices were eventually going to go up.

I have found that talking to the owners directly will work better than talking to someone at the desk. Also, it is difficult to negotiate over the internet. Another factor is the time of the year. Around February, when I went, it was busy season. During slow times they might give you a more reasonable rate. Also, if you go there as a group they might be able to give you a group discount. I recall the owner mentioning to me that a friend of his was coming along with 19 friends (if I am correct this group took up an entire wing) so he was able to work something out with them.

Again, the owners and management are better at negotiating than some of the desk staff. My understanding, though, was that prices were going to increase once Terra Linda starting attracting the business. Again, they have alot of overhead. Did you guys see the overhead case hanging from the bar? That alone looks like it is worth some money to set up. The labor alone, in a third world nation with poorly trained labor, must have been considerable (in the states this would be nothing). Also, I recall talking to the owner of the Europa, many years ago, and he mentioned that he needed at least 32 licences to keep the place open! Sounds like alot of Dominican many to set up shop. When one adds the restaurant this increases costs considerably.

Speaking of restaurant many months ago Terra Linda fired their head chef. There were too many complaints about the cooking. I will have to admit that I've tasted better food in other parts of Sosua. I also found them overpriced for the quality. There have been complaints for several months about their cook and it was common knowledge in the area. They only have on staff the regular cooks. I do not know if they have resolved this problem or not?

Personally, I think that $69 a night credit card rate (which corresponds to a cash rate of around $60-62/night) with free breakfast is a fair rate for Terra Linda, relative to the rest of Sosua - in particular, compared to New Garden. I thought that the intro $55 a night credit card rate was a great deal. I think that $80 or more is too high, other than during peak holiday weeks.

Wow guys this place is awesome!

My first time here and probably not the last. I'm sure this place could become addictive.

Arrived yesterday and the trip (direct) from Montreal was perfect (4h15 approx.).

I'm at the hotel (Terra Linda) at 12h and the place is very nice.

13h I'm sitting at the bar by the pool with fellow mongers that I just met and I'm getting in all the useful info needed for a first hunt.

16h I head out (with a great guy) to tour a few hot spots like La Passion and Bar 59.

The girls at La Passion are georgeous but the place works with a menu (yes!) for the services offered for the girls. A bit too pricey but it might be fun to try one of them days.

The street action is amazing and chaotic but fun to watch.

17h we are sitting at Bar 59 (under a fan because it's 33 celsius in the shade) and after maybe 5 minutes this girl looks at me, I give her a wink and what do you know, she's by my side. She's soooo beautiful that I got to pick my jaw from the floor. A few minutes later another great looking chica his by my friend. We chill a bit and head out for diner. We still have'nt talked about dineros but the girls are good.

20h and I'm in the swimming pool with my chica in bikini hugging and kissing.

20h30 I'm back in the room with my chica and continue with more action. It's great GFE action, BBBJ, DATY, MPOS, Digits.

She did'nt know how much she wanted for the night so I gave her 3000 DR pesos (88 CAN$ approx.)for her to stay with me all night. I'm probably a sucker because I think I could have had her for 2000 if I'd have tried. Experience will get in at some time I presume!

8H30 the next morning we wake up for a little bit of action (BBBJ), take a shower and go for some breakfast and cofee. She gives me her cell number and leaves around 10h30 with a promise from me to see her again during the week.

I've never seen anything like this! First night here and I strike a homerun at my first swing!

I'm staying here all week and I'll keep all of you posted with further info and experiences.

BTW I got a 59US$ price for the room and I might negociate a lower rate for the rest of my stay after reading the last info on TL!

Having read tons of info on the board and met good guys on the spot took away all and any anxiety I had coming down to Sosua for a first experience.

Thanks for all the VERY useful input from all you guys.

Gratefully yours dadycool.

Hasta Luego amigos.

Terra Linda does not accept credit cards anymore. At the front desk they have a sign there that says "due to circumstances beyond our control..."

At the time of booking (April) the cash rate was $55 and the credit card rate was $65. When I got there in May they were only taking cash ($55) and did not do credit cards anymore.

Nice to read a report from someone who is open minded and enthusiastic after seeing reports from several individuals who didn't seem too happy with Sosua.

There is no doubt that congress between male visitors and local women is an interactive process and that for things to work out really well both sides have to bring something to the table. If both sides are jaded and simply trying to exploit the other, then you don't get good chemistry.

Hi guys! I just found out that whatever a good player you are, you can't hit homeruns all the time.

I just walked the chica I was with to the front of the hotel and was happy she left. She looked pretty good at the bar but once in the room and without her clothes on.

Went to the plate, my bat wouldn't even go up and I watched three strikes go by. She gave me a poor massage. I gave her a massage and found that the smell coming from the Y wasn't good. She got me up a bit with a CBJ (Wow!) and then told me to get in there. After a few minutes of pounding, I went limp. Sometimes life is a *****! At least I didn't waste much pesos on that one. 1000 pesos and she even asked for an extra 100 for a motoconcho. I gave it to her not wanting trouble.

I still am having the time of my life out here. Spent most of the day wondering around and appreciating what life's got to shows me.

What a show! It's fascinating to sit at the bar and watch all that's going on. Traffic (human and vehicles) that's a complete chaos. The hustle and bustle of the locals trying to grab what life as to offer. Smiles, dramas (one guy was slaming a broomstick at another guy on the corner of Dr Roson), mongers on the hunt, chicas looking to satisfy anybody, motoconchos going crazy (don't know if I'll ever dare to try one), it's real cinema.

All-in-all just another shitty day in heaven.

I'll try myself at the plate again tomorrow and see if I can have another homer.

Stay tuned for more adventures.

Gracias a la vida.

I'M visiting Sosua next week for the second time. I never got around to visiting La Passions or any of the bars at that end of town. This year I'll stop by for a few beers and maybe a TLN take out. Can anyone provide list of services particular La Passions chicas provided. I'm willing to pay a premium for services I like, English speaking, DFK, BBBJ, CIM, multiple pops, anal, bisexual. I know it is a long list but if I could find one that I provides a few of my preferences, all would be good.

Don't forget Dady... everything that is important goes in the room safe before the girl enters the room.

When your out on the streets... only take enough money that is necessary and it should be deep in your front pants pocket or in your buttoned up shirt pocket. All other pockets should be empty.

Keep the good reports coming ! Get Pics :-)

You hear? Empty!

Empty! Got it?

Totally empty ... apart from:

small change in your trouser pocket

enough bills to see you through in another pocket in case your main stash gets stolen

keys

cellphone in a zipped pocket

slimline camera in a zipped pocket

kleenex for blowing your nose, wiping drool off your chin and for emergency toilet paper

headache tablets (Advil or whatever) because of the sound systems

earplugs (same reason)

Immodium (because of where and what you eat)

Pepto Bismol (ditto)

chiclets

map of Sosúa

photocopy of your passport

sheet with contact details and next of kin, etc (in case you are unlucky enough to be walking past El Flow at the wrong time)

glossy prints of nude pics to give last night's chica

toothbrush and paste in case you end up next morning in the campo or just eat something vile that sticks to your teeth

toothpicks (ditto)

condoms (choice of plain or flavored)

lube

notebook and pencil to jot down ideas as they occur to you for your forthcoming Pulitzer prizewinning novel "Adrift on the North Coast"

pencil sharpener

mosquito repellent

antiseptic cream in case you (or more likely your chica) cut or gash your/herself

antihistamine cream for insect bites

spare pair of boxers (dry farts are rarer than virgins in Sosúa)

flashlight (unless you have one on your keyring)

cheese or chicken sandwich in foil wrap in case you get hungry (useful if arrested)

I think what Ehunter is very sensibly saying is don't bog yourself down with unnecessary clutter. Travel light. Less to worry about or get stolen. Apart from the above essential items keep your pockets EMPTY!

I agree with every word Thedrman has written.

Love the description of the Claro office as the Battlestar (or should it be Death Star? - I'm not a fan of that stuff). Even in this disfunctional shithole of an island they take the prize for total incompetence and rudeness. Claro/Codetel is owned by the richest man in the world, Carlos Slim. Being rude and incompetent has never done much for my bank balance, though I keep trying.

I haven't been here long and my Spanish is very rudimentary so I am not able to complain and "fight back" verbally the way the Thedrman is recommending. I look forward to being able to do so before too long!

Yea, it's Death Star. I'm getting my planet destroying megaships mixed up. Battlestar is good. Death Star is bad.

I think the real reason it hard to get the service you want is that Sosua is just too small a village.

I usually meet up with guys at the airport or at the hotel. Sometimes, when I get to the hotel "Junior" or another Dominican street hustler, gets there before me. The guys vacationing tell me, "No, he's a nice guy." Here's a guy who they've known for 2 hours and all of a sudden he's a good buddy. There's a word for men who gain your confidence after a couple of hours, it's confidence man or Con Man for short.

Red flags should go up if he's all smiles, out for a good time with you and immediately becomes you best buddy.

Of course there are some girls that nothing will work with, and they are best avoided.

. . . and take off the wedding ring if you are married back home. The non-hard-core chicas are looking for marriage or a boyfriend, sometimes sincerely. Typically its a way out of their situation -- pregnant at X years, baby at home with grandma, nobody has money.

Hey guys,

I keep reading you all and taking it in. It's cool!

I wisened up a bit and spent TLN with the first chica I was with Sunday (the one on the picture) and cut down the expense to 1500 without any problem from her. Another great time even if she's a bit shy.

Woke up this morning feeling great with her by my side and I look into her beautiful eyes and feel like a king.

We head down for the restaurant for coffee and berakfast. Three guys joined us and we have a good time, All three are colored, good looking and great persons to be with. I was under the impression that I'd meet only old folks like me (I'm over 50!). I'm still having the time of my life and the on-the-spot info these guys give is also very useful.

I might join a bunch of people this afternoon at a pool party at a closeby hotel.

I'll keep you posted.

As for the explicit pictures. I don't feel confy about that but I'll see what I can do.

Hasta luego!

Maybe you mean "colored" like me? I'm a nice coffee-and-two-creams tan now, but if I stay out of the sun for a few months I get pasty pale. When I get embarrassed I get red, when I get scared I turn white, when I get really pissed off I turn purple, when I get seasick I turn green, if I hold my breath too long I turn blue. :D

boy have my experiences been different in sosua than these recent reports.
1. as for speaking spanish-in the 3 years i have been going to sosua i have never found speaking spanish to be a factor. one of the things i love about the dr & cr is that you don't have to speak spanish. most of the chicas speak enough english to communicate.
when i first went to sosua i could't speak a word of spanish. no problems.
now i can hold a conversation in spanish, but i still usally speak english when i am with a chica. occasionally i'll throw in a spanish sentence if it makes them more comfortable. they don't treat me any different. either way they know i am an american. they want my money and yes sometimes they want a friend too.
if you want a deeper relationship with a chica or a novia, then it might help to speak spanish. but that is not the case with most people.
2. as for knowing spanish makes you more aware of the tricks of the locals i certainly don't find that to be true. it seems like there is an assuption that all the locals are all out to get americans. that is not true. i have made friends with many locals.
of course there are exceptions. in this type of atmosphere you are going to find sleazy people. in fact anywhere the hobby exists you are going to find sleazy people. it's an underground hobby even where it is legal.
so if you are going to participate in the hobby you are in the underground. get used to it. this is what the underground is like. but i certainly do not find dominicans to be the natural enemies of americans.
when i am in sosua i realize anything can happen. i have had scary experiences and bad nights. sometimes i have had a few bad nights with unfortunate experiences. but for the most pert my times in sosua have been very positive.
3. if also disagree about so few girls being in the profession in sosua. for a town the size of sosua i am amazed at how many girls are in the profession. i realize they come from all over the isle, but this is a small country. there are also many other places in the country were they can work in the profession although i think sosua is the most popular.
i respect others opinions-but these are certainly my experiences.

i actually did have a great time folks. i banged 7 women between bbs and sosua, and met some great guys there. i was was just disappointed abt the service attitude at the bars and some of the women. i admit i have been spoiled by monger asia.

after lookin at so many latineuro pics, my point was that sosua is kinda small and no gfe...thats all. but i realize it is the wh*house of the country, so now i know what to expect...s'all good. get a girl and get out. no need to spend time there. just like tj....ha,ha.so actually the more spanish i learn is better cuz i can meet regular chicks, vice *****s that know enough ingles to [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) me. so i will work my rosetta stone to get laid for 10 bucks...ltr.

Sorry, couldn't help myself, lol."Color" is a legit topic among real friends. It's interesting that I'm a "paleface" infatuated with my beautiful dark skinned chica. I love watching her sleep in bed, or beside me, head on my shoulder, on a long bus ride. Her smooth chocolate skin, well, don't get me started but if feel so blessed.

Last time I took a buddy down to Sosua with me who feels the same way, but my best buddy, a much younger cool good looking black guy, is not interested. He's taking off for the summer to eastern europe because he's crazy about those tall beautiful white chicks. They love him here so they'll love him there. (And I don't have to hide from him that I think Obama is a complete nerd.)

Maybe he'll post a report in another forum when he comes back, and I'll link it here.

I've made him promise to come down to Sosua with me in the fall, and I can't think of a better buddy to have with me. I do very well down there, but he's young, fun, got game, and it would be a totally different trip for this older monger.

In the meantime I'm apprehensive about la chocolata coming up to see me for a couple of weeks and how that will work. She says will be here soon. But hey, if she can work her way thru visas etc, without my help (except for the airfare), my hat's off to her, and she''ll rise another notch or two in my estimation for being resourceful and competent.

I don't think it's that easy but we'll see.

One of the best things about the DR forums on ISG are the posters. It is great to see a bunch of guys sharing info and when someone may not agree the responses are in a mature gentlemanly manner. I have been reading the DR forums here for a few years and honestly can not once remember a thread getting out of hand with a bunch of childish BS replies.

I took no offense to the gengtlemans use of the term colored. Being from the south of u.s.a, I can tell you that is one of the nicer terms used. What I enjoyed the most was the fact that he took time out to hang with differing types of people despite race as that is the majority of the scene I have found while in DR. One of my new favorite friends is an Aussie bloke I met in a drunkin stooper while in Sosua. His term for me ,God bless him him, is simply "Black."

What I do take exception to are those that come on here with disguised racial bigotry and stereotypes. Some of you forget that most of these chicas have a person of African Decent in their families. While they smile and take your money they are greatly offended by your statements and always make sure the info gets back to the subject of your ignorance.

Its not that hard to STFU and enjoy yourself and leave your stereotypes at the airport.

"Color" is a legit topic among real friends.

I don't think it's that easy but we'll see.To me color is not a topic among FRIENDS, I judge people by whats on the inside not outside. Morals, integrety, trust, respect and sincerety. And defiinitely leave politics out. The only exception is if its discussed in a joking manner that is accepted by both. But even then inner feelings can get hurt.

Your worry about your la chocolata coming to visit you stems from your concern about what other people will think in YOUR world(neighbors, family, friends). Your concern will show her another side of you that she might not apprciate.

You don't think it will be that easy because you are having problems accepting her into YOUR world as she has you into hers.

Just my opinion, maybe I'm wrong.

just some observations from my recent trip:

1. get some french before you leave

there is a huge influx of haitianas after the earthquake (at least this is my feeling). and many of them do not speak english or spanish, or if they do, just a few words. so a little french would be helpful in order to fix the details of your session. just learn some basic french. numbers, time, sexual phrases, small talk, etc.. it will pay you off, because some of these girls are really hot and deserve a shot.

2. check their cedulas or passports

i was told that the police is cracking down on **** girls and their punters. so always check their cedulas/ passports and compare the photo. but it seems that they can get fake (?) ones in cabarete and therefore some of the hotels not just only take the cedulas, but they also ask the girls some questions like „what is your name" or „when is your birth date" and if the girl cannot answer the question correctly as it is written on the cedula, she will declined entry. so i always made sure that the girl knew exactly the cedula details in case she gets asked. and it was fine!

3. from puerto plata airport to sosua

a taxi will cost you 25 us$. for just 5 miles! so i walked by all the taxi touts, towards the airport exit and soon i was apporached by a motoconcho. at first he wanted 200 pesos (6 us$), but i walked on, and he went down to 100 pesos (3 us$). but of course this option is only feasable if you are travelling with light baggage.

cheers,

dv

... All three are colored, good looking and great persons to be with.

Skin color is mentioned all the time on these threads but I understand why are some are rightfully tripping over it now.

The “having breakfast with the three other guys” information gets dragged down by wanting/having to point out they were a different skin color. It implies you have peoples skin color on the foremost of your thoughts. It does not matter whether you wrote how good a guys they were then after.

The point is, the term Colored is fine to use in general. It is only when the speaker uses it to highlight someone’s “race” as a incidental detail is where the problem enters. Doing so points out that the speaker separates individuals by race.

As a side note, the word Colored was used 30-40 years ago and as far as I can tell the white man has always been confused as to how blacks want to be referenced. One reason for the confusion is that many blacks have a strong varying opinion as to how they would like to be described. I remember a TV program on this when I was a teenager where many blacks could not agree with each other on a common term or reference. Most whites feel like they are walking on egg shells when forced to use some type of reference.

Its okay to mention color because the gentleman wasnt trying to be offensive. He said they were good guys and had a ball.He was a little outdated thats all.

My grandmothers(black)and my great grandmothers(black)used the term coloured to refer to blacks.

I use the term 'icebox"instead of "refrigerator"that i learned from my grandmothers.Yes im outdated also.

The guy is hit and missing in sosua and hanging with the brothers. Its all good.Mr Gogo,

Yeah we know he meant no offense to it but with all seriousness if someone came to me and said, "Hey it's so nice to meet you colored people" I don't know about you but that person would get punch in the mouth

In the end I think Charles Pooter made a great point. There's no need to describe the persons color. The important part was what Dadycool said after the fact that he met good people. Who gives a fuck if they were rainbow brite.

But I digresss. Dadycool glad you're havin a good time in Sosua. Now what you need to do is check out Crystals in Puerta plata. And tell us if you were able to handle the stampede of 40 honeys molesting you all at once.

Ok. Got that out of my system. Now back to why where here in the first place. PUSSY, PUSSY and how to get more PUSSY. Since I love this board I'll extend an offering to the fellas that we all can agree to and love. Titties

Yes
Mine are usually very visually appealing and my TLNs decide they are great to sleep in. Then, not long after, they are asking me if they can have them.

....So they can bury them in the yard.

I will never again let a female in a society like that have any of my possessions. Not saying they all do, but some girls will use a piece of your property to do witchcraft against you. And since I don't really know any of those like that, I'm not trying to take that chance. Life lesson learned through personal experience.
Okay, so what's the story behind chicas burying articles of clothing in their back yards? My main Haitiana has my white undershirt that she slept in. I had completely forgotten about it until one morning I asked "Donde es mi camiseta?" She giggled and replied "en mi casa."

Is this something in need to be worried about, lol? :-{

the white man has always been confused as to how blacks want to be referenced. One reason for the confusion is that many blacks have a strong varying opinion as to how they would like to be described. As a black man, I can say A: there is no elected group charged with or authorized to speak on behalf of black people as far as what we want to be called; there will never be a consensus on this issue, nor shoUld it even be a topic for discussion. B: why can't black people be referred to in the same way as whites? Dude, guy, fellow monger, asshole, cool ass mutherfucker, and Jack ass can all be equally applied to blacks as the terms are applied to whites. If you refer to a Caucasian by the color of his skin, white, then those of African descent should logically be referred to by the color of their skin. Although, I'd argue that short, fat, bald, stocky , ugly, retarded and ass clown are all universal terms that can be applied to all races without unnecessarily dividing us by the sometimes volatile subject of skin color--unless you intend to invoke a discussion on race or demographics. Of course, the term "man" is always acceptable in describing a black male, although some seem painstakingly reluctant to grant that acknowledgment of equality.

They won't exactly make your pecker fall off, but they will try to "tie" you, which will basically mess with your mind to make you fall in love with them and believe their lies in spite of logical evidence to prove they're not trustworthy.

Wtf do I mean? Allow me to share a story:

I'm 29, will be spending my 30th birthday in Sosua next week. American, used to live in Haiti and married a Haitian girl when I was living there, at age 20. I was pretty blessed/lucky (depending on your views on spirituality) to have actually found a good girl, as I will explain in the story.

After 8 years of marriage, two children, boring sex life, I decided to dabble and wanted to have an affair. So I met a Haitian girl online who I ended up forming a relationship with over the phone and I would see her a couple of times when I traveled to Haiti. Now, I would tell my best friend everything that was going on, and he kept warning me, "Don't send that girl any money, LC." Eventually she had messed with my mind to the point where I would send her money, anyway, in spite of all logic telling me not to do so. EVERY TIME I would take a step back and analyze the clues telling me something's not right, she's playing me, she would pull me right back in under her spell even harder.

I ended up only spending one night with this chick at a hotel in Haiti, and even that night there were crazy warning signs but I was too blind to snap out of it. But at least the sex was damn good. Eventually my wife found out about the chick and needless to say, she went off. I was fully prepared to leave my wife and 2 kids and marry this chick because she had me so blinded.

My wife went on to find out everything about this chick. Little did this chick know, my wife's cousin was her supervisor at her job and a good friend of my wife was "friends" with this chick, so everything the chick would tell her "friend" that she was doing, the friend would turn right around and tell my wife. By this point my mind was all messed up. I didn't know who or what to believe, between what my wife was telling me and what this chick was telling me. My wife told me the girl is living with a dude and they're both playing me for my money and so I would marry the girl so she could get her residency, then break up with me and bring her boyfriend here. The chick insisted my wife was a liar and convinced me enough to leave me straight confused.

Eventually my wife told me the boyfriend's name, and told me to ask the chick if she knows somebody by that name. So I did and the chick just cussed me out and said she's gonna kill my wife and then tried to say she didn't know anybody by that name. By then I finally was able to wake up enough to realize, and then when I looked back I saw all the obvious warning signs that I was too captivated to believe; from how she'd react in phone calls, to how she acted while at the hotel, etc.

Now, my wife is the best wife in the world. She stuck with me and we're happier now than we've ever been. In fact, my wife is the one who told me to go to Sosua and bang as many chicks as I can but just keep it purely physical. And I know most people will read my story and think "This dude was just naive, that would never happen to me." I can assure you, I'm well-traveled and not naive at all. I had my best friend speaking a voice of reason to me the whole time, and I'm a very reasonable, logical person. I guess my confidence in myself is the reason why I'm convinced I was a victim of voodoo. That, and the fact that the chick even went to a witchdoctor with her "friend" to try to put spells on me.

Long story short - all of these girls want only 2 things: money and a ticket off the island. And not necessarily in that order. Always keep that in mind. They will do whatever it takes to achieve their goals. It's a dog eat dog world.

To me color is not a topic among FRIENDS, I judge people by whats on the inside not outside.

Just my opinion, maybe I'm wrong.Nah, just a fact of life my friend. To make the topic "off limits" between me and my young, very close male friend, what we both have fun referring to as "my adopted nephew" and he laughingly intruduces me as his uncle, would restrict our complete openness with each other, and fulfill the world's prejudices that somehow we have to be extra careful what we can talk about. F. K that!

People often ask us (like last night at the pub when he's giving me his wildly ambitious itinery for his european trip, where he thinks he can get around all the countries and all these cities in something like a month and a half, and I'm telling him he's crazy) why we hang out together. Truth is, we don't "hang out" in that sense, but we make a point to get together on a regular basis, at least once a week, and sometimes he'll come over on the weekend to watch football etc. Other than that he has a very active "club life" with his own age group, that I am far too old and tired to ever participate in, but am invited nonetheless. I joke he's getting as much pussy as he can handle, and I have to go half way around the world to get laid. (not true, but good for a luagh.)

So back to the point. When I'm in a remote part of DR with my chica and I'm the only white guy around, my skin color is a factor, and how people react to it is dependent on their own built in experiences. I can't control that so I don't give a shit.

And GG, you're completeley off base with you suggestion that I'm worried about "reaction from my world". That will be what it will be.

Nah when I said I "didn't think it would be that easy", I'm referring to a chica who has never left the island, or ever been on a plane, doing all the things that are necessary (VISAS travel arrangements etc) without ever asking me or burdening me to arrange things. (I did send her money for the trip tho)

Looks like she has pulled it off, and as I said I give her more repect for her hard work and resourcefulness, and she is confirming to me that she is indeed "special"

When she says she'll do something on a certain day, go to SD whatever, it always gets done. No excuses. Didn't expect that. Never had a woman like that.

But, we are only in the middle of this story.

They won't exactly make your pecker fall off, but they will try to "tie" you, which will basically mess with your mind to make you fall in love with them and believe their lies in spite of logical evidence to prove they're not trustworthy..Thanks for sharing that.

I could be in the middle of something like that, complete with warnings from folks here and at home (don't ever send money), but I don't think so.

I'm single, so I don't have your complications there. I'm looking for those "bad vibes" when we're together, and I'm definitely ready to cut and run if things don't seem to make sense. But in some six full weeks of 24/7 over the last year or so, never had them.

I'm hoping it's more a simple case of economic support in return for an occasional week of todo conjugal love game, where we have no demands on each other outside that.

In other words classic P4P. Oh sure. there are fantasies about love and being together (miss you, can't wat for you mi principe, an all that shit) but bottom line for me is P4P

That said if you are reasonably compatible (share the same sense of humor, like to hang out at the same places, getting hungry at the same time, drinking at the same level, and wanting to go home to bed at the same time, no eyes for other gringos etc) it's enjoyable.

The good thing about P4P is that, once established, it is easier to end the relationship at any time.

Start thinking "she really loves me", or getting it all for free, then you are getting into some serious shit as I see it.

Good story, LC, and very good advice. I might not go so far as to say that your mademoiselle's visit to the papaloi resulted in your being so completely "charmed" by her, but I wasn't there; how can I say it couldn't have helped?

They won't exactly make your pecker fall off, but they will try to "tie" you, which will basically mess with your mind to make you fall in love with them and believe their lies in spite of logical evidence to prove they're not trustworthy.I won't quite concede that this sort of "charm" requires voodoo, or candomble or other "love magic", but I wasnt' there and all I know of you is what you've posted on ISG. I do believe that any woman anywhere, who sees a guy as "her opportunity," will do all she can to present herself as that guy's "fantasy come true." And we guys are all too willing to suspend disbelief if we find her charming enough. (Been there, done that, got some scars.)

...My wife is the best wife in the world. In fact, my wife is the one who told me to go to Sosua and bang as many chicks as I can but just keep it purely physical. I guess my confidence in myself is the reason why I'm convinced I was a victim of voodoo. That, and the fact that the chick even went to a witchdoctor with her "friend" to try to put spells on me.The chica's belief in "love magic," and in the efficacy of the charm she wrought, will certainly increase her confidence in herself to be more convincing than she might be otherwise. And, frankly, "the magic of love" is addictive to us guys, as it needs to be for the sake of Homo sapiens. I'm certainly not "charm-proof" in that respect, and in fact I might be more vulnerable because I don't have a savvy and loving wife to straighten me out.

OTOH, I spent most of my life working in a "sensitive compartmented" work environment, where an ongoing relationship with a foreign national was a severe no-no. Maybe the security-conscious suspicions that I developed there have helped me armor myself against a chica's "love magic". Add the fact that I AM NOT TAKING "HER" HOME TO THE USA, and I'm less of a target for "Señorita Carta-Verde". Or so I hope.

Long story short - all of these girls want only 2 things: money and a ticket off the island. And not necessarily in that order. Always keep that in mind. They will do whatever it takes to achieve their goals. It's a dog eat dog world.
That's the best of good advice. So was your wife's advice to "bang away, but keep it purely physical." And hang on to your sweaty shorts! ;)

I don't really think I'll be the one to prove that: maybe a younger guy like yourself who has more life to offer her. I'm just enjoying the ride to see how long it lasts.

Especially after today. We always text and email each other and sometimes I have to go to Google translate to find out what the hell she's saying.

Today I went online to look up the word "farta" (I had forget it meant miss you) and damn (you can google it!) it was part a message that some guy got from a chica he'd just met down there, and he was asking what the message meant. Well it was almost identical to the messages she sends me complete with "mi vida" "mi cielo", "mi principe". Shit, I mean it could be her!!

As Thurgood Marshall, a former US Supreme Court Judge once said "there's no difference between a white snake and a black snake. They'll both bite you."

I am a white guy who grew in the Bronx, New York. I know white guys that I would never hang out with, some of them are scum of the Earth, money hungry pricks.

Genetically all humans are over 90% the same, we all have two eyes, two arms, two legs, one head, one penis or one vagina. The oldest human bones were found in Africa, so we are all descended from those humans that began in Africa.

Just returned to the scene of the crimes, staying at tierra linda resort. This place is awesome, from the outside you've got no idea what your missing. The Santiago twins are downstairs at the pool begging everybody that walks by for a massage. I kissed both on the forehead and kept walking. Sabor, your girl from last trip(check photo gallery) is here working this drunk newbie. I sat down at the poolside table with these two tricks. Happy hour is 50 pesos cervasas, had to get up and do this post before I bang one of these scoundels. Resting up watching a tape on tv of the NBA finals, before I hit the strip tonight. My Puerta plata freak is coming up tomorrow, so unless something catches my eye just spectating tonight.

American out of Miami overbooked the flight. They came over the pa and offered anyone giving up their seat an 800usd voucher, hotel in miami for the night, and meals and a flight out tomorrow. While I was seriously considering it two guys beat me to it.

Sat next to these two beautiful chics(black, but I'm not supposed to mention that here) and made a future connection with one. The girl feel asleep and rested her head on my shoulder after a great conversation(damn I think I love her). While her and her friend were walking to catch a cab to playa dorado she turned and waved at me(memmo, all Dominican dudes that work at playa dorado if you touch her I'll hunt you down). Going to try the restaurant here in a few. Gogo out.

The Germans in Sosua don't talk to you, because many do not have conversational English capabilities. How is your German?

Furthermore, Americans are not regarded as equals by Europeans; culturally and otherwise. No matter how much Discovery Channel you watch, with proclamations of "We are #1! "

At last, people from NYC are just obnoxious (not sure if that applies to you): 300 lbs, belly sticking out, dressed like shit. I don't associate with that crowd on my home turf, why would I want to in Sosua.

And yes, I am American. And German.

[...]

The Germans in Sosua don't talk to us and act like they are above us, but then I met Wilfred from New Garden who is the nicest human being possible. Am I supposed to judge all Germans the same? Nooo, because their are good and bad in everything. But give credit to the ones that try to understand.

Ah, forgot to mention this: Chicas are not allowed to come and hang around Terra Linda unless it is Happy Hour (I do not remember the time it begins) and even then I think they are at least required to purchase a drink.

Hey Fellow Friends.

ISG can NOT pull up my username. So this is my new screen name. Its like my 5th posting here:

Jetblue from NYC to puerto plata $99 dollar each way!

$20 from airport to hotel

. I ll be staying at New Garden (NG) this coming week for 7 days. Its my 2nd time within 6 months. I Lov this city. I was at BB (blackbeards) last Oct 09 and its was a very cool place for the buffet style gurl action (15 gurls lined up by the pool and bar). The owner runs a v. Nice place there.

But I prefer the Al La Carte gurl Menu better (we are all natural born hunters. LOL). So I'll be in Sousa. DR.

7 Nights 7 Ladies. Is my only plan.

Last time I was there in March the going rate all the gurls seem to charge me was $2000 pesos. Which is like $55. For the whole nite. (if I dnt kick them out rite guys. LOL)

New Garden is well recommended. Book in advance cause they book up fast. $55 a nite cash. And FREE breakfast. The food is excellent. The service is ok too. NG has a new wing and older wing. I've seen both. And I prefer the cheaper one. Both are nice. The AC work great. Balcony. Mini fridge. Cable with porn. (gota have the porn when I'm smashing. LOL)

Internet cafes at the corner. Intel calls too. Ohh the best ice cream is also at the corner.

The pool is very clean along with the table and chairs. Very clean place.

Now for the gurl report. Sousa has the main stip which is like 2 blk long. I don't like to sweat so. I prefer the AC bars and clubs. Therefore my hunting grounds is classicos 59. God this place is awesome!.

Large club with 2 bars. VIP area. You can smoke. And the beers are cold. The waiters are professional. And its like $5 for admission. The guy to gurl ratio is 10 gurls to 1 guy. I'm very picking when it comes to gurls. So I usually scope out the club for 1 or 2 hrs. Till I make my move. Whats the hurry on a fuc##$ vacation rite.

I 1st buy the chic a drink. See how she behaves. Ask her for the price to enter her rose garden. LOL. I'll try to nego. If I'm in the mood. The rest you know. I just joined the VIP membership on this forum. So I'll take some pics. For you guys!

Some misc. Notes: make photocopies of your CC and passport. Take $50 in single & use to tip etc. I buy a pint of whiskey at the corner. And drink in my room. I also buy these $3 little bottles of perfume and lotion & give as a gift to the best performers. (they love that stuff)

I'm going solo. (my friends don't have the balls to go with me). I'll see my fellow wingmen there.

Adios

Germans without conversational English capabilities? Not buying it. I think they just don't want Americans hanging around them because most Americans are ignorant tools so they don't let the Americans know they speak English so they don't try to hang around them. And as an American (although a well-traveled one), I can't say that I blame them. Even I can't stand being around Americans sometimes. Like when driving to work in the morning and getting stuck in traffic because there's a line all the way into the street of fat Americans waiting to get into Dunkin Donuts. GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Genetically all humans are over 90% the same.
Of course I agree with your post in general, but I think you will find that all humans are 99.99% genetically the same.

We are 98% the same as apes so it has got to be a lot higher for humans.

I'm still in DR at the moment and I've just spent lots of time with the sweety I met on the first night. We spent the night chillin' by the pool with other friends, then went to the room and had a good night sleed just hugging and kissing (no banging!) cause I just wanted so much for now. Went down to the restaurant after a shower for breakfast, later she left to get her 2 year old kid that I wanted to see (beautiful boy with his mother's eyes). I give her 1000 pesos to teach me spanish and stay with me all day and night and add 500 if we get into FS. I'm really getting all the best that life can offer and I'm enjoying every damn minute of it GEEEEEEZZZZZ. This is way more than GFE that I experience in Montreal. I have to to say that I'm lucky enough to have met many good fellow mongers from other forums that I feel safe with. They are being very caring and we watch each others backs. Plenty of good people around in my hotel and other hotels close by. Big Mike21 got a few of out to Puerto Plata for a tour and we had a hell of a good time. Party last night in Classicos for Buck's birthday that I just saw pictures of! Looks like it was really something but I could'nt go cause I had only cheap stuff to wear (all of my stuff was at the cleaners and was'nt back yet) and it would of offended my chica to be seen at such a classy place with a poorly dressed gringo. I respect that and understand her. She told me that she did'nt want the other chicas to laugh at me!

I'm going to a pool party at the Seabreeze this afterrnoon and it will have a bikini contest, free booze and food. Hey! Another shitty day in heaven!

Talk to you later.

Hit the restaurant at 8pm. Had chateau brian, carrot strips, cream sauce, salmon salad, bottled water, and a great desert. Cost was 1100pesos and well worth it. The desert was so good I almost licked the plate.

Saw John one of the owners I presume. Slim guy, glasses, 1960, s beatle hair cut, very friendly. He was talkiing politics, he's more to the center and likes Ronald Reagan. His lovely daughter Jennifer was with him talking about her views of the BP spill.

Hit the strip starting with latinos. After two Cuba libres and 30 minutes of telling the waitress I used to date that I still love her walked to classicos.

While walking to classicos bumped into a guy that I haven't seen in two years.

Two years ago I helped this guy out of a situation.

I got back to Europa at 2am to the police (one was a friend) questioning these three guys I had met earlier when me and a chica were in the jacuzi. The police left but told my friend don't leave town and his investigation was ongoing. I never said anything because I didn't know the situation plus I was tired. Me and the guy talked but I was mostly listening.

He said he was dancing with this chica in classicos when her lesbian lover got jelous. The girl came out of nowhere swinging at him. After security seperated them he decided to leave with a cut on his forehead. As he got to the bottom of the stairs leaving classicos the girl had followed and jumped off the stairs like bruce lee. He dodged her and dropped a right on her, she flew 5 feet and was out cold. He left and went to Europa where the police came.

This was going to be hanging over this guys head his whole vacation, plus I wanted to get some sleep. So I told him one of the guys was a friend and we can go to the station and get this settled one way or another. I explained to the guy to stress the positives from your point of view. He is a Florida police officer, he left the scene initially, he had a fingernail cut on his forehead, and he retreated the scene again to avoid further problems. After two hours and 2000pesos the police said it was clearly self defense.

Anyway, him and his boys are having a birthday party in VIP of classicos. We go there and they hand me a birthday(dunce)hat, initially I refuse but they start chanting, hat, hat, hat, hat, okkkaaaay. VIP was full so I was at the entrance to VIP with a dunce hat on. Chicas were very interested in what was going on in there but first they had to get thru me. These bo

Ys were partying like it was 1999. I can drink with the best of them but these dudes were on a mission. Eight muscle bound florida cops getting blasted, no no I have to go.

I hit latinos to slow down and after more Cuba libres a guy walks over. He said he saw me earlier and asked where I'm from (because of my swagger people think I'm a Newyorker). He was from NY and was there with his girl which interested me. As were talking his girl comes over and she is the finest thing in sosua. Its clear by the way she keeps interupting him that she gets what she wants. Now I'm down with banging her fine ass but I'm trying to figure out where he fits in. Is he a watcher, is he a creep up from behind guy, or is he an under cover criminal. The girl is controling the conversation and invites me to a bbq(shout out to bq ribs) at Tonys on the beach tomorrow. After they leave I have a few more Cuba libres laughing at what just went down.

I leave latinos and walk to tierra linda. When you go into the resort you go down a bunch of steps. As I'm walking to TL talking to myself(sosua can't fuck with me) I hit the first step going down into tierra linda, boom-bang-bang-boom. GOGO IS DOWN. Hell nah is this an earthquake? I'm not a bad dude but I box well and can take the average dude, but who just dropped me? As I look up the security guard runs over to help. But in my mind I'm thinking, three, four, five, six, get up GOGgo. Don't touch me, don't touch me, was all I could muster to save the little pride I had left. I get my balance, look around to make sure no one else saw that shit, and point at the security guard that this is between us.

Tomorrow pool party at seabrezee at 2pm.

I just about fell off my chair reading these comments.

The comment about "many" Germans not having conversational English capabilities couldn't be farther from the truth. 75% of all Germans under the age of 40 speak fluent English. 40% of all Germans over the age of 40 speak fluent English. 95% of all college educated Germans speak fluent English. These stats are my own and based on my experience only. I am self qualified to speculate on these since I have 10 years working and living in Germany.

The comment about not "regarded as equals" is also rubbish. Until some detail is attached to that statement it means absolutely nothing and cant be quantified in any way.

Long time Rio veteran, but I am finally giving the DR a shot. Got in friday and I have to admit, I am really enjoying myself. I have been in Classicos the past two nights and it reminds me of Help back in 96-97.
Packed with beautiful brown skin women with great bodies all vying for attention.

Quick question. Are you guys really getting girls for 1500 short time and 2000 for TLN? Almost every girl I have talked to, is firm about getting 3000 for all night and 2-2500 for short time. Now maybe it has to do with the fact that Sosua is packed right now with americans. I think TL, NG and SeaBreeze are all sold out. But when I offer the girls 1500 & 2000 pesos, I get so much attiutude back from them, that I think the quotes on here must be BS.

The main reason why I came to the DR was because I expected to be spending 1/3rd the amount I have to pay in Rio. So far, it doesnt seem like that is the case.

One HUGE differnece between Rio and Sosua is the lack of references. On the rio boards they have hundreds of references about individual girls, from terma, agency and help girls. My first 3 domincan girls have been real duds!! I am so used to the passion of brasilian women that I have been really dissapointed with the sex from the dominicans. Now if i was in rio, I could look up various boards get get a winner from many diffeent venues, but I dont have that option down here. I just have to keep swinging for the fences.

I went to the bikini contest at Sea Breeze yesyterday, great event. Unfortunately, no pictures or video. I guess they were upset with posted on youtube last year, so cameras were banned this year. A number of attractive girl danced their asses off and there was alot of free food, great time.

I still have 4 days here (hitting the beach to day and then the pool party at Terra Linda after) I am hopin to finally get a monster session! I understand that they are not brasilians, but come on, they are still spanish women!!!!

That sounds about right. I have gotten lucky in the past with paying 1500 for ST but only because the chicas were newbies and that is the price they told me (which indicated to me they were newbies) and it was only with Haitiana's. 2000-2500 for ST and 3000 for LT or TLN is pretty much standard now.

Be wary of the guy who says he is paying 1000-1500 for TLN because you would be correct in assuming that he is full of shit. If a crack-hoe in the US is going for $40 then you can only imagine what his 1000 peso chica looks like...

Everything has to be kept in perspective. If you are a reasonably attractive guy and some woman wanted to pay you 2000 TLN when you know that you could easily get 2000 ST from 3-4 different women for that night, then why would you opt for the former option? You wouldn't unless you really, really liked her. Now if you were a mostly unattractive guy that most women would pass over and you were desperate (still got to feed your kid(s)), then you'd probably take the 2000 for TLN and possibly even less.

Keep in mind the price ranges from how the girl looks. If she's ok looking then you're in the 2000 range. If she's a Stunner then no doubt it's going to be MAX 2500peso.

Now the flip side is getting pussy doing the day hours. Short time doing the day prices range from 1000-1500. Keep in mind that all these prices that we quote literally can go anywhere from 3000pesos to literally paying NOTHING depending upon your Spanish, the vibe your having with the broad, whether she likes you or not, etc. If you're dude that carry himself well and got game then the prices is going to be lower. If you're a fat slob that don't give a shit about how you look and you're not trying to get to know her first then they will jack up the price real quick.

They are becoming duds. Sosua is a swinging door for putas. They don't stay put as they do in Rio. The ones that you see around for a long time become shot out fast and are not worth reporting on. As SavePros was talking about your best bet is to try to find newbies. I'm even tempted to try a Haitian when I arrive Saturday. But for me, I mostly deal with non-pros these days.

With all due respect Mr. Enternational, you must be a very good looking dude, because not even the girls at Blackbeard's would take 1500 for TLN; and they've got some fine pieces of ass up there!

On that same note, I would never pay 2500 to ANY of those girls at La Passion; not unless they do a serious overhaul of their roster because I find way hotter girls on the street for much less...

I say the guy is talking shit would be correct. If you get one poster who says he paid 1500 TLN then the next guy doesn't want to look like a chump so he quotes the same price knowing darn well he paid more. I don't do Sosua but 1000-1500 TLN is unheard of in rep dom unless you found some non-pro back in the campo chica who has never left her finca and don't know crap.

I do believe if it is very late at night a few chicas may do 1500 TLN because they want to sleep in an A/C hotel room instead of in a tin roof shack with four other people in the bed plus she gets breakfast in the morning.

..........2000-2500 for ST and 3000 for LT or TLN is pretty much standard now.............
This should be the maximum for just about anywhere in rep dom. Guys coming to the DR a few times a year, their first trip those prices are what someone should expect to hear.

Sure I know, I know guys get cheaper prices. I get chicas for 1000 ST in SD but I am not the normal guy coming to the DR. I come often, I know what chicas will accept a 1000. So what I pay in not the norm.

Bravo and others, SavePros321 numbers are more in line with reality.

I recently wifed up for 8 days with my Haitian favorita, basically 24/7. We fucked at least three times each day for hours on end. I left her with, agreed upon beforehand, RDP10,000. Only other outlay were for meals when we would dine together.

It's all a matter of chemistry you have with the girl(s). If she thinks you are hot, you get a very different price than an overweight guy w/ beer belly, rotten teeth, missing hair, and bad breath.

In Sosua, chicas will try to get RD2500 TLN but will accept 1500-2000, FACT!
Very few will give you TLN or a second nut for RD1,000, but it does happen.
RD1000 ST is not that difficult but RD1500 is more common, especially during the day.

If you peakie Panie, your pricing structure is certainly going to be lower than some Mook that buys chicas Henney shots at The NG Pool. Try it, MEEL PESOS or MEEL KEEN YENTO mi amor!

So as to not be misleading, you could have prefaced your statement with "Some girls in Sosua try to get 2500 but some will accept 1500-2000" which would definitely be FACT. Your original statement implies that that is the case for all girls in Sosua, which is absolutely false.

UPDATE:

I've just been informed that you are a very frequent visitor to DR, so your situation is going to be totally different then that of someone who is looking for the "infrequent visitor" pricing structure.

This makes more since because you kept it specific to New Garden. Try this anywhere else outside of New Garden and you will more than likely fall flat on your face in disappointment.

1000 for ST or TLN at NG? Of course! Have you seen how skanky those Santiago sisters look?? Not to mention some of the other refuse that hangs around there.

To this date I have never ever bought a drink for any chica, especially since I bring my own liquor. Believe me when I say that these girls don't care if you are buy henny shots or not. If she knows she looks good then she is not going to go tripping over herself to take your 1000 pesos, lol.

ADVICE FOR GUYS WANTING 1000 PESO CHICAS:

Go to the Pedro Clisante with you and your homies. Find the ugliest, most unattractive broad out there; then confirm with one another that she is the most hideous. Do her a favor and offer her the chance of a lifetime: 1000 pesos for TLN. Tell her the offer expires ten seconds from the intial conversation.

Take a look at some of Blackbeard's newsletters or pay them a visit next time you are down fellas. If those girls ain't taking 1000 pesos for TLN then there you go...

Try this anywhere else outside of New Garden and you will more than likely fall flat on your face in disappointment.

One is only disappointed in Sosua when they set the bar too high.
I appreciate the mongering semantics lesson, I am new to The Dominican!

This is true. To summarize, there are two scenarios whereas one can get a chica for 1500-2K TLN.

1) You have to be abnormally good looking with some game.

or

2) Your able to accept some of the lower echelon chicas most guys would not touch and the chica is grateful she was picked for once and she gives you a good deal.

I know this is not the case, lol. I am only asking for help in pointing out that for someone, who has not been coming as many years as you, Bq Ribs, Jaososua, and others, will not find those kind of deals.

Last I checked guys in the Rio forum are saying girls are starting off asking for 300R for ST ($165USD). Now imagine if that is the only info you have to go off of, then fly 18+ hours down there ($165USD would have kept me from even booking a ticket to begin with) and realize that every girl down there is in fact asking for 450-500R! I don't know about you but I would probably just go back to my room and cry (after jerking off first, lol).

Now sure, folks like Mr. Enternational who as been going to Rio for years will know where and how to get the lowest prices, but others that don't go there that often will not (unless they have taken either him or Sperto along as a personal guide).

Just got back from 6 days in Sosua. Did 5-6 chicas por un rato and paid 1500-2000. All were good to excellent. Had only one TLN for 2000P but she is a favorita and I've known her for over a year. All but one chica was without prior negotiations. But I take my time to buy them a beer, talk at soime length and see if there is chemistry. If they are not carinosa/affectionate or are only going thru the motions, I move on. The chica on my last night, had seen her previous nights and made eye contact, was in a hurry cause so I cut to the chase and asked if we coiuld leave right now for 1500P. No problem.

I think we all can agree there are different pricing structures. Ocassionally I find myself posting info that does not apply to most. I visit Santo Domingo quite often and have made several good chica contacts. For the most part I get a little better deal than a guy who just arrived in town.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but most of the guys reading this board are not frequent visitors and don't have years of time in rep dom.

To be helpful to the majority I think the info posted should be what reflects what the "regular" guy will come across. A "regular" guy is not one who has been coming for ten years, makes 8, 9, 10 trips a year, speaks fluent Spanish, can dance bachata and merengue........... this person knows the ropes and will consistently get bargain prices. It takes time to get to that point.

If you are new to Sosua, or have only made a few trips does a difference of 500 pesos or even 1,000 pesos really matter if you are having a good time?

If you paid a chica 2000 ST and had a great time be happy.

As I previously mentioned I don't go to Sosua but the game is pretty much the same whether it be the north coast or the south coast.

Peace............

Mi 1000 peso novia.

Her propena was a Trojan XL

Also she gave me her # for TLN but we were hunting that day.

As stated, newbies and guys who don't speak spanish, or are extremely unattractive will probably pay more than $1500 for ST, and $2500 for TLN with decent chicas. Once you have a few trips under your belt, and learn to speak to the chicas in their own language, your pricing structure will change. Of course, by that time, you should really branch out and see other parts of the country. Because the finest chicas aren't in the tourist areas.

Play the game

First I want to tell the fellas to NEVER be scared of being rejected from quoting a price to a broad. When I first came to Sosua I felt a little rejected cus the broad and I couldn't agree upon the price. Now I don't even sweat it.

If you play the game with her and negotiate you can gauge how much of a hardcore puta or sweet workable girl she is. If a broad quotes you 3000-3500 TLN and you counter with a respectable number say 2000-2200 and she doesn't budge AT ALL on her price let that ***** go. I don't care how fine she is the chances that she's a hardcore puta is high to me and the sex is probably going to be whack

Now if a broad is all on you and she's feeling your vibe and is trying to work with you on the price from the bat when you ask about price then you have a better sense that she's not so hardcore and your going to have a better enjoyment.

An example is I was talking to a honey bun from my last trip We conversing and I bought her a drink. It was still a little early in the game but we chilling in Classicos. After awhile I ask her how much. She starts off 3000peso. I counter 2000peso. She was cool about it and counter offer to 2700peso. I took mines to 2200. She drops it to 2500TLN and said final offer. Now I got her into price range but since it was early and she wasn't my primary choice in females that I was eyeing on I told her I'll think about and sent her on her way

Now the next day I saw her in classicos she wanted to go for 2200peso but it was too late cus I already found a honey. Now if she was my primary choice then I would have accepted the 2500peso from the gate. The difference between 2200-2500peso is literally 8 dollars and 33cents. I'm not going to fight over a broad over chump change.

Side Note: The funny part of my experience is that the broads I decided to take home for TLN I never ask them about price. I just went off vibe and instinct. I figure since this is what I want and we digging each other the worst case scenario is she starts acting up and arguing about price in the morning and I'll give her the standard price (2500peso) and be done with her.

Enjoy your trip! Roll the dice and play the game.

I know I have contributed nothing to this board, but I have been writing on this site and club h*mbre site for yearssssss about brasil. I am throwing myself on the mercy of the board and asking for help! I need numbers and contact info!

I have been here for 4 days, fucked 4 different women,. The first 3 were complete duds ( CBJ, wouldnt kiss, sore or tired after a few minutes, wanted too much money) the 4th one was actually pretty good. The problem with her was she was a "leche papi" after 10 minutes girl. We were fucking great for 10 minutes and the she started that shit, I just looked at her like "you cant be serious. We havent even reached 2nd gear yet, we have ALOT more fucking to do!" after 40 minutes she stopped and said "I took too long to cum and that she needs to leave because she has to catch the next bus to santo domingo".

My two buddies laught their asses off every morning when I tell them about my bad experiences, they think its hilarious. They both keep tellling me that i need to interview the grls better. But interviewing the girls will not let me know what her sexual endurance is like. She could pass all of me questions and then completely tire out after 20 minutes of sex.

I will admit, I have been spoiled rotten by brasil! I am used to the brasileiras who would fuck me like I was going off to war the next day. They wanted nothing more than to have 2-3 hour sessions because they want to cum just as bad as I do. This lackluster sex from the dominican girls is driving me crazy. I still havent nutted yet after 4 days of being here! I refuse to jerk off because i can do that for free at home, I paid good money to get down here and I want the girls to make me bust off.

If anyone can, please send me PMs!! I need the numbers of a girl who has a PHD in giving head, or a big ass girl who loves fucking all night!! I am willing to trade info on brasilian girls if need be. I am lovng the fun atmosphere of the dr but I need some top perfomers to make this trip complete. I only have 4 more days in the DR and I want to leave here saying what a wonderfull time I had.

Crazy side note: I am getting mad love from the regular girls. Girls who work at the hotel I am staying at have slipped me their numbers and want to go out and 2 girls from the stores in sosua have given me their numbers. SInce I am only here for 1 week, i dont want to waste time persuing normal girls, i would rather stick with the working girls for the time being. I only added that info cause I know a bunch of you are probably thinking "he must be old, fat, bald and toothless, thats why he isnt having any luck!" LOL!

They know you are here for a week so get at them. They are almost the same ass the working girls (you will have to leave them with something (ie. money)) but you might have a better time. Ask one of them to go eat with you and take her to Puerta Plata so she can save face. (Dominicans talk a lot) There is a cheap hotel in POP called Hotel Victoriano and if you can get a room with an AC or a fan you can take her there and wear that ass out for some hours no problem. Just stop by the store a get some brew and it's all to the good.

If not, I will pm you the number of my friend in Sosua and tell her I said hook you up with someone who really knows how to fuck.

Most Dominican chicas like Baileys. A little bit of alcohol to help the chica loosen up, you might get some ass on the first date.

Little word of advice. "Bring meat". (Not your tube steak but, go to the store a bring a whole chicken or some steak.) It will go a long way on your date. You can just go there and eat the rice and beans she is making but, you will really impress the shit out of her if you come prepared. The drinks dude was talking about was good but, to me, six presidentes will get you further than one Baileys because you and her are not going to be the only ones drinking if you are going to her place. (You will see what I mean when you get there.)

Just a little info on how the weather was in Sousa the last weeks of April and the month of May 2010.

I am already doing some long ranmge planning for 2011 and although, I know things change daily or hourly in the Caribbean , just give me a shout out whoever was there in that time frame how the weather was.

I was there in 4-10 thru 5-02 2009 and had decent weather , more sun then rain , but in 2011 I'm going to extend more into May .

Any help would be appreciated thanks

I was there 2 weeks April/2 weeks May and it was Freaking Hot. Normally I can go it with just a ceiling fan and a little 9" fan by my bed (if I have to) but had to change accommodations for A/C. Turned out good though, found the perfect place for me.

Anyway, there was a downpour pretty much every afternoon and some at night. It's just the rainy season, but really, it just cools things off a bit, and when it rains, the Dominicanas like to screw.

Hot/Cold/Dry/ or raining.... is it really a show stopper for you?

Thx for the reply, i knew something wasnt right. Too many posts on here saying everybody is paying 1000-1500 for short time and 2000 for TLN. It didnt seem correct because of the reactions I get back from the girls. Maybe guys will start posting more accurate numbers, 1500 -2500 for short time and 3000 for all night.

The girls have a schedule of rates, so to speak. Are you new? Do you speak Spanish? Has she seen you there before? Will she see you again? Are you a nasty m'fr or really clean? Do you get laid in the States or where you live, or do you have a tough time there? Then, does she need rent, or just food tomorrow? A lot goes in to it for them, but rarely does it REALLY make sense.

Bottom line, I'm there TOO MUCH, speak fairly fluent "street" spanish, know about ALL the games, know most of them's husband/novio's, etc. I get some of them dropping by for 300-500 pesos on the way to the salon for salon money. Sometimes it's just A/C and Novellas in exchange for sex.

In the street during daytime, never more than 1000 pesos. Hold your ground guys, I'm telling you, they will hem and haw, but they WILL TAKE IT as opposed to nothing during the day.

At night that's different, when the boys from NYC and Boston are in Thurs. - Sunday, forget it, 2500 minimum TLN, cause those guys don't even pay attention to the exchange rate. Saw one the other night, pay the bartender at Flow, 500 pesos for a beer and throw (2) 100 peso notes at the girl for a tip. I had to translate for her what he was doing, she couldn't believe it.

But..... most girls will go for 1500 TLN IF YOU HOLD YOUR GROUND. They may say no, and then next thing you know they walk the loop a time or two and they're back rubbing their ass cheeks in your crotch.

Bottom line, it's not much money either way. The best way to negotiate with a Dominicana is to say, I ONLY PAY 1500, never more to ANYONE..... BUT..... I promise, if you are really really good, I will tip you 500 pesos. Tie yourself on boys, they will work for that 500, and you're just paying the going rate, with a twist.

That's pretty much how all prices are negotiated down there, I assume - be it for pussy or a painting on the side of the road (I know that's how it is in Haiti). Well, this is excellent advice. I will be making my first trip to Sosua tomorrow so I'll put this advice to use.

I would add that very occasionally I find one who won't budge from a higher price. I never waste time haggling because in the past when they eventually caved in the attitude wasn't right. It was as if they resented being "taken advantage of" (as they would see it) because of their urgent need. But those cases were infrequent. 95% behave as you describe.

Hot/Cold/Dry/ or raining.... is it really a show stopper for you?I agree with your post about chicas. And it was HOTT.Its becoming the norm to stay in a cold room and enjoy a movie with a chica while i rest up for the night.

What is there to do during the daytime in Sosua? I find myself most days just sitting around watching the world cup anc waiting for the night to come. I didnt see any malls or cinemas or anything worth visiting like a tourist attraction. With the exception of sitting by the pool or calling over a girl from an afternoon romp, what is there to do in Sosua?

Okay I'm going to blab after a recent trip.

La Roca's, is shut down. Thats the restaurant on the left as you go down the hill toward the beach. High traffic location, lets see what happens next if anything.

Terra linda is the new hotspot. Major money was invested and it shows. Will it last if they have to raise the prices to meet expectations?

Word is Europa condo owners want Diego to limit the mongerers. Could this be the begining of change coming to that end of Sosua? Will that area survive without mongerers? And Europa?

Passions has expanded. But last week the lineup had changed. Two months ago they had several new hot girls that werent there this trip. Is Are the prima girls getting wifed up with rich Europeans?

Throw in a very active hurricane season apon us, and Sosua could be in for a wild ride.

If Spirit shuts down could Jet blue step in? They fly basically the same type of planes. They are already centered at FLL to take over Spirits slots there. And it would allow them to expand very quickly and cost less.

Sosua appears to be a time bomb, tick-tick-tick. Same girls looking tired. Many beach stores closed, kids sleeping in the street, hotels changing, Domincan corruption, the haiti situatuation, and the economic problems. To a newbie it may be exciting, but after five years every trip is turning into the same bullshit. Even my regulars outside of sosua are looking tired and angry.

snorkeling is not bad in some parts of playa sosua. there is a water-park not to far from the airport in the direction of sosua.

you could take the 10-15 minute car ride over to cabarete during the day. watching the guys on the kite boards is interesting and oftentimes white tourist chicas are topless on the beach in cabarete. there are some nice bars/cafes/restaurants on the beach in cabarete.

closer to puerto plata they do tours on all terrain vehicles, near sugar cane fields and other muddy places.

some river with falls in puerto plata, is supposedly fun.

there is a gym in sosua, if you wanted to work out. there is a baseball field across from the synagogue, sometimes you can watch baseball at that field.

Why don't you stop and talk to them and find out what it is all about?

There have always been a couple of massage places like Belkis hairdressing salon near Casa Marina, and a little massage place opposite the large bank down there, but never with as many as seven girls outside, so this seems like a new development. Usually massage, hand job, blow job, full sex are negotiable. If you find a girl you like, it may be better to have the massage and arrange to meet her off duty and take her somewhere for sex.

Prices, like anything else, are subject to negotiation.

One trick is to negotiate a price for massage, then after the flip get your dick hard and then demand a big (excessive) fee to finish you off. Just watch out for that. 1000 pesos would be OK for real massage plus hand/mouth job, but the problem is that in most of these places the massage is rather perfunctory and is just a prelude to sexual activity rather than a real massage.

If you have never done it, definitely worth the experience.

dem be some great rd500 bbbj spots with a little neck rub too if you want!
make sure you have your dough tucked away, and no propina is needed, just prenegotiate exactly what you want. try the salon to the right of happy bar, they have a secret back room for extras, and is clean. m&m is still the best therapeutic massage, sorry no extras and costs rd700. kika massage in the plaza behind the shark bar is a former m&m gal and you may get extras on top of a wonderful massage.

There is nothing wrong with it, if that is what you are used to. But being a Rio vet where there are hundreds of things to do during the daytime (and we are not even talking about termas). From a bunch of site seeing spots, Cristo, Sugar Loaf, Botanico, Zoo, Maracana,etc.... Plus a million shopping centers with the hottest girls on the planet, cinemas, resteraunts. Hell they even have horse racing, Gyms, horse back riding tracks, even a huge water park.

So while some guys may be content to sit poolside for 9 hours a day, I am accustomed to having a million different options. That is why Sosua is driving me nuts, cause i am bored to death between 8AM - 8 PM.

Then get out of Sosua if you are bored. Get the Caribe Tours bus to Santiago. It like 2 hours away. You can go around downtown and hoe watch. Got to the monument and have some drinks and hoe watch. There are a few malls where you can Hoe watch or crack a biyatch if you want.

Just don't sit there looking stupid by the pool. At least got to POP. You can walk around, because it's small, and Hoe watch.

There is plenty of stuff to do you just have to venture out.

I can understand why you see sitting around all day as a problem. It's boring.

Bravo I know exactly how you feel, that is one of the things that made me stop coming to Sosua. I remember a few years ago when I started out in the DR one trip I spent 17 days in Sosua. After a week I was going crazy with seeing the same shit day in and day out. I still remember trying to get an earlier flight out of that town but the change fare was more than it would have cost me in hotel bills to stick it out.

I did an ATV tourist trip that got me out of town for a day which wasn't bad. A trip to Puerto Plata is not worth the effort just to ride the Teleferico and walk the malecon. A shopping mall? A movie theater? A decent park? You can forget all of them.

Maybe you could take the Metro or Caribe Tours bus to Santiago. Walk around a bit. Have lunch and come on back. Cabarete? Same scene as Sosua.

Good Luck................

I never said I sit by the pool all day. Normally, I go to the beach, go snorkeling, swim in the ocean, flirt with some ladies, and maybe shag one of them. I generally only do the pool for an hour or so before dinner, when I don't feel like getting all sandy. That's if I stay in Sosua. I may also go out whale watching in Samana, watch a baseball game, go out fishing in the ocean, etc. Also, while it will only kill 30-40 minutes or so, but the Jewish museum is quite interesting for me, being Jewish, it describes an important bit of world history. There's also the Casino, although if I'm going to drop some cash, I want to make sure I also drop a load of sperm as well. You can take a panga out and go fishing as well. You can go to Cabarete and go windsurfing or kite surfing.

The bottom line is, Sosua is mainly about beach, and pussy. There are other things to do in other places, which can be done easily.

You're comparing a small town in the Caribbean to one of the larger cities in the world. What do you expect? Seriously. Rio will be hosting the Olympic games, for Pete's sake. There is nothing in the Caribbean that could compare.

I think that if you want to enjoy yourself you need to start with changing your perspective and expectations. And this is just a principle in life in general. Appreciate things for what they are and you'll find all things a bit more enjoyable.

Fish, Scuba, Whale Watching, Golf, Beach, Paragliding, glass bottom boats, Baseball games are fun, work out in gym, shopping, Cinema, sailing, hiking/swimmingdiving up waterfall streams, Dune buggy driving through swamps, reading, Casinos, Check out Blackbeards for 1/2 day then continue on to the tourist location where Columbus established his first American Settlement in the direction of Haiti. Take a Mr Toads wild ride bus trip to Santiago for a day of exploring. There are Dominican Cigar factory tours, Dominican rum factory Tours. i finally had the chance to indulge one of my true loves, sportbikes. six months ago there was only on place that rented these bikes. it was across the street from baileys and very expensive(125 all day).

there is a new place in front of terra linda that offered me a deal. here in the states i have a custom hayabusa strickly for shows and an 09 ninja zx 14 for fun. they had a 600, which is a step down but more than enough power. i had it from 11am-5pm for 75 dollars. helmet is optional, but the police can stop you without one so i accepted. they keep your passport, so if you fuck up be prepared to pay.

if your not a serious rider who takes safety even more seriously, please don't rent a sportbike. there are potholes and speed bumps that pop up out of nowhere. a tourist that i was behind about 30 feet decided to test my skill. he was coming up on playa dorado and braked fast with his left turn signal on. no problem for me i'll just go to the right of him. then the asshole turns right where i was headed. oh shit! then he stops which took away my options. now i'm not thinking of passing this lost jerk so i had to break it down. luckily the bike performed well and i was able to stop about 10 feet from him.

but there are some spots on 5 where you are alone and can open it up, but it was very brief. also i wouldn't let the bike leave my eyesight if i stopped. at times the motorchonchos were passing me because i didn't want to abuse the power with them near, think safety first when other vehicles are near and be prepared for the unexpected.

safe riding.

many roads in dom rep have deep cut outs to the side of the road, for when it rains. in a car or on a motorcycle, you really don't want to go too far onto the shoulder of the roads and go into those deep cutouts.

i read these posts a couple of days back and initially passed on responding but have now come back since it stuck in my mind due to my experiences on that road and travelling the third world in general.

while i appreciate mr gg's numerous qualifications regarding safety and limited opportunities to indulge in speed i still think, to put it politely, foolish.

besides the typical third world hazards of random livestock in the roadway and the habit of third world drivers to stop in the middle of the road for senseless reasons and the complications intoduced by third world cops, the last time i went to sosua a few years ago i rented a 175 dirtbike and rode it 3 or 4 times between sosua & cabarete and there were 3, count em 3, separate manholes with their covers missing and unmarked in the traffic section of the roadway.

manhole covers and storm drain covers are routinely stolen for their scrap value. this isn't just a dom rep practice. it's a third world phenomenon.

even after i became aware of them, they were difficult to spot traveling at 35 or 40 mph.

i know (most) of y'all aren't stupid so i won't insult your intelligence with an obvious question but think about it. hitting an open manhole or other such hazard while opening it up on a sport bike??

imo, wait til you get back home to resume your riding passion on first world roads under first world conditions.

stay safe, schwmm

you are correct. i remember the time when i drove to cabarete just as the sun was coming up very early in the morning. there is one section of the road between sosua and cabarete, that is straight and level with open fields around it and very early that morning, there was no other traffic. if a guy wanted to, he could open it up on that section of roadway at that hour of the day.

i know (most) of y'all aren't stupid so i won't insult your intelligence with an obvious question but think about it. hitting an open manhole or other such hazard while opening it up on a sport bike??

imo, wait til you get back home to resume your riding passion on first world roads under first world conditions.

stay safe, schwmm

i read these posts a couple of days back and initially passed on responding but have now come back since it stuck in my mind due to my experiences on that road and travelling the third world in general........
like you i passed on posting my opinion. i understand the urge to want to ride a bike in the dr as years ago i enjoyed riding. i don't question mr gogo's ability but the dr is not the place to test your skill.

my primary concern which troubled me the most was giving the rental guy your passport to hold. no way in this world would i give up my passport to no one in rep dom. the rental place has your passport in one hand and your balls in the other. any scrape, scratch, imagined damage and you will pay before you can leave the country. i would not be surprised if the bike rental place makes more money off of damage to the bikes than he does renting them. a broken $75 mirror he would charge you $300. what you gonna do? he got your passport.

if a car rental agency does not require to hold your passport ain't no way i am giving it up to some bike rental place.

I'll chime in too.
Having ridden in the DR several time and other developing countries I will say this. If you are as diligent there as you should be here you'll have no problem. The same riding philosophy alpplies:
-Everyone is out to kill me and it's MY responsibility to keep myself safe
-Never ever ride at night unless I absolutely have no choice
-Defense, defense, defense
-No matter the law ALWAYS wear a Full face helmet

if you haven't taken the motorcyle safety foundation class in your state, do it now!
PS I have been riding for 30 years and I have never been down

while i appreciate mr gg's numerous qualifications regarding safety and limited opportunities to indulge in speed i still think, to put it politely, foolish.

besides the typical third world hazards of random livestock in the roadway and the habit of third world drivers to stop in the middle of the road for senseless reasons and the complications intoduced by third world cops, the last time i went to sosua a few years ago i rented a 175 dirtbike and rode it 3 or 4 times between sosua & cabarete and there were 3, count em 3, separate manholes with their covers missing and unmarked in the traffic section of the roadway.

stay safe, schwmmwhile i appreciate your concern, sometimes in life we take risks for enjoyment. how many times have condoms broken while having sex with a known prostitute? is getting on a plane 100% safe? is traveling to a third world country for adventure safe? even though we play it safe bad things can occur.

i traveled the road between sosua and cabarette 20 times my last trip and didn't see any manhole covers missing(potholes and speed bumps yes). and when going back to sosua, having the ocean to my right and the wind in my face was almost better than a nut.

to be honest i felt more comfortable riding in the dr than in the states. mainly because my safety awareness was raised. and the three times you rented a bike i'm sure you had many pleasurable moments while you were dodging open manholes.

will i rent a bike next time i return? sure. will i ride foolishly? nunca.

Guys have posted sensible comments about the dangers of riding in the DR and about how to minimise the risk of accidents. But they have said nothing about the consequences of an accident should the worst happen.

A friend of mine learned to ride quadbikes (ATVs) in the DR. Last year he had a serious accident on one. Now, eighteen months later, he is still using crutches and slowly improving. "Luckily" for him he had the accident in the UK where he was able to receive prompt, world-class and free medical assistance.

Had it happened in the DR he would have lost a leg for sure and might well have died.

I know ATVs are a special case but the same applies to whatever sort of accident you might have in the DR (industrial, agricultural, traffic, etc) especially if far from a main city. It is not a country in which to take risks as assistance might be a long time coming and may be far from adequate when it does.

bq:

another very good & legitimate point and allow me to add one more thing for the forum and then i'll shut up since i don't frequent the dr anymore but still enjoy reading about the places i know from several trips.

when travelling overseas, discover and learn to enjoy the things that are either unavailable or too expensive to partake in at home. you can always resume your regular hobbies and interests when you get back.

especially something like motor sports.

btw, i'm a car & driving guy. particularly sports cars.

all the best, schwmm
