Hi fellas. I am headed to Sosua December 29- January 13th and could use some info. I saw a brief mention about the Sosua nightlife on New YearsDay, can anyone else shed some light as to what I should expect? Are chicas around? Any info would be Appreciated.

He does not actually own The D'Latin spot, he built it and gets paid somehow, I am not going to speculate how he is compensated.
He created Sosua Life / Latinos and moved on, it's what he does.
The current owner of Classicos is feeling the heat with the competition, his ingenious RD200 entry policy did not help, which I believe came to an end recently a little too late.

So, what does that mean for the future of Classicos? Didn't think there was much wrong with it that needed to be changed. Open earlier?After drinking at El Toro bar me, Gogo, BBBL and another wingman went over in front of Classicos and saw Willy again down at the Merengue bar. He was scoping out the place with some other guy. He said he was checking out what kind of changes he wanted to make because he was going to fix the place up. (Side Note: When we were at D'Latin he said he bought Classicos Thursday for $1.5 million. When we saw him again at Merengue he said he bought it for $1 million - just something I noticed). He asked if we were going inside Classicos. We told him yes and he told the security people to let us in for free. The place was empty when we got inside. We had a few drinks then chicas started coming in. Three times I called a different chica over. The first one said 3000 pesos. The two after said US$100. I think these hookers around here are turning into comedians.

Google has slowly but surely added my location pinpoints but I think it is easier to find a 30 year old virgin in Sosua than get a location added to their maps.

I sit at the airport, soon to board, and sad but ready to head back to the US after a fun-filled 5 night visit to my favorite North American budget sex travel locale.
Unwinding from the hectic family, social and work life I've built for myself in New York always takes me a day or two on vacation. Usually though, with a 'normal' vacation, I'm not emerged into the life of the 3rd world. That's not say that I don't travel to exotic places with the family. I do as often as possible, but when you're with family, you never really leave the bubble of the tourist resort, having fairly limited contact with just the English speaking restaurant workers, hotel concierge types and that's about it.
When I go to Sosua, I go local. I risk injury on the back of a moto-concho drunk, smoke cigarettes like cancer didn't exist, fuck like a man 20 years my junior while hopped up on ED meds. I drink like a college kid on spring break, eat and then eat more, and interact more with the locals. Chicas or otherwise.
And it is that last part that makes me as aware of the fortunate life I Iead than anything else. These people think not of next week, or next month, but rather think only of basic necessities. Their need to eat, and to survive for the next day. Its sounds overly dramatic perhaps, but when you get into their heads a bit, I think it's entirely accurate. I know most guys don't take the girls out for meals, but I do. I watch them; typically unable to read the menu, embarrassed to ask the waiter questions, and as unfamiliar with the proper use of a knife and fork at a reasonable pace as they are with food we've ordered. I don't take them for them, I take them because I want the company. Most of these girls live in the bottom 1/5of a poor country socioeconomically, may not have traveled more than 50 or 100 miles from where they were born, have never been on a plane or maybe even in a car, and need money or at the very least food to survive. I would guess none of the Haitian girls have a bank account, so in essence the street is their atm machine. We shouldn't be surprised when they do things that are almost child-like. One of them kept saying, 'oh fock' when I told her to say please. Then she found it hysterical when I showed her a picture of my 7 year old who forgets to say please, while my 11 year old doesn't.
And forget the food. For us a meal has a social element to it. We talk, we listen to music, we break bread with our friends, with our families, for them it is as often a means to an end as anything else, any social element to food, they have yet to discover. Don't get me wrong, its not Haiti. I was in Puerto Prince, a couple years or so ago. There. Everyone was desperate that you buy them food, they would cry,"I hongry" at you. Heart breaking really. They were on that particular street in Puerto Prince BC they wanted to find you and then begged to fuck you for a dollar because they hadn't eaten. Here in Sosua among the taller slim haitian girls. My Achilles heel, food is just that. My point, well, really nothing more that pointing it out, and that I'm local when I'm in Sosua, more so than any other place I go in the world.
We go for the sun and sex. To get our drink on, in the words of Fifty- Cent, who's pounding beats I'm thrilled to have that night's chica's round tight young ass grind out on me. I'm as much a degenerate as the next guy and probably more. I'm simply pointing out that their lives, if we choose to consider them are far different, so utterly foreign from the lives we lead as the sex-tourista. la victoria part 2 american & european side inmate visit
i recently went back to la victoria prison in santo domingo and was able to walk over to where the american and european (a&e) prisoners are held and lock down at night. they a&e inmates would be overwhelmed by dominicans at night if they did not segregate them for their own protection at lockdown because there is no guards controlling those inmates at night on those cell blocks. i attached some photos from outside the prison and saw this video on you tube. if you look closely at the video on you tube, you will notice the amount of prisoners that you are surrounded by walking through the various yards. the place is jam packed and if you do not mind being surrounded by thousands of inmates then have fun:

for the photos, you will see in one of the images how long the line is for women to get in on visiting day. i would say you could wait in line if you are a women up to 3 hours.
as a reminder, la victoria is the largest prison in the dr and that is where the big boys go who are there for major crimes. on this visit, i decided to visit the american and european side and see what the deal was and why some of the inmates where in there. to get to the a&e side, you walk through a very crowded prison courtyard and walk past a prison guard to visit the a&e prisoners. my guess is there is roughly 400 a&e prisoners crammed into about 7-8 housing units. could be more hard to tell. to go over, each housing unit consists of roughly 30 to 50 inmates with each having there on tiny built in enclosed housing space where they sleep. it is basically an enclosed bunk bed and is the size of shared living quarters of a large college apartment living room area. at 4:00pm each day all inmates must lock in to there cell block for the day and are not allowed back out until the next morning.
now as gogo and other senior members on this site have said and now i realize you should never under estimate. you might want to have contact for a good lawyer. just in case you get into a problem. i cannot say this louder for you all here who play hard in the dr. the way it works in the dr if you get caught or are arrested by the police you go to jail. there is no bail and you can wait for a long time just to see a judge. this is where you can get into problems if you do not have a trustworthy attorney you could get robbed by the first lawyer you meet who promises you to get you out and does nothing and takes your money. i met few americans who said that happened to them. i also met a lot of americans in prison for a number of drug crimes anything from trying to sneak cocaine back into the united states to getting caught with marijuana. believe it or not getting caught with marijuana you might not see the judge for three months so be careful. again, most people i met in there said they were set up or framed i believe some where, but i also believe some of them just thought they could get away with it and knew it all and talked shit to the wrong person.
i met one african american from queens who said he was up for a kidnapping charge because a dominican stole from him and when he went to get his money back the police were waiting for him after he caught the man and asked for his money back. he had been in there for 7 months and still had not seen a judge. also, you pay rent for you cell and it is not cheap. the brother i met on the kidnapping charge said he had spent so far $3,000 dollars for his cell. i asked what do you do if you have no money and he said you sleep in the hallway on a cement floor. when i left the cell block it then made sense to me when i saw some african americans sitting around with there stuff next to them in the hallway and not moving. they could not go any where and had to stay with the few belongings they had so they would not get there things stolen. again, prison can be cold blooded! again, if you have no money in there your life sucks you sleep on a dirty cement floor. cannot emphasize again play hard, but do not be stupid and maybe talk to these senior members on this board about a having good lawyer contact. i have read on this board how mongers have been stopped and police have thrown drugs into the car they were driving. so do not think it cannot happen to you. all this has been said before on this board, but no one really pays attention until it is to late!

Canadian nabbed for growing pot at home in Sosua.

Puerto Plata- A Canadian citizen was arrested at his home in the resort town of Sosua, charged with growing 30 marijuana plants in 27 potters, the National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) announced Friday.
The foreigner living in the Dominican Republic was identified as Lord James Douglas. 62, nicknamed El Canadiense and / or El Gringo.
A judge authorized the warrant to search Douglas' house in Los Cerros, Sosúa, says a statement issued by the DNCD office in Puerto Plata.
It adds that the accused was using 27 potters to grow marijuana on the roof of his house, detected by DNCD agents, who found plants which had grown as high as one foot.

Stayed at Rocky's in October. This report is mainly for first timers to Sosua, you guys that come here all the time know how it is.
Flew into Puerto Plato, (POP) after going through customs, immigration, and all that, went outside. Had a driver waiting for me, got in the car and off we went. About 20 minutes later, arrived Rocky's. The owner of the hotel was there waiting, greeted me, checked me in, introduced me to a few guys that had been staying the last week, and I tried to get some sleep.
Yeah right! Too excited to be here, spent the last 6 months working in Alaska, no beach, no women, nothing! Walked down to Rubys, #144 on the beach. A lot of the guys hang out there. It's a cool place, the bar staff & owner take care of you. Walking back to the hotel, about 50 feet from Rubys, was approached by a cute haitian girl. While she's still hanging on, another comes by and grabs the other arm. Is it that obvious that I've been in the land of big hairy women?
Ended up staying out until about 2a. M, with a few breaks in between.
Sorry, this is already getting too long, and that's only the first day. So, short and to the point:
The good:
Rockys. Stayed here. Nice room, hot water, cable tv, movie nights, full bar, food, pool access across the street, wouldn't call it security but the bar staff won't let anyone bother you. Walked by a few places that had dudes with shotguns at the gate, not really into that much "security".
Rubys. On the beach, #144. Way cool bartenders, american / french / german crowd. Most speak spanish, so a good place for everyone. They don't care if girls are there, but won't let them harass you.
Baileys. Great pizza, and noon to about 2, local style buffet. Less than 200 pesos for chicken, rice, beans, salad.
Jolly Roger. A cool place to hang out, mellow atmosphere compared to the nightclubs.
Ricky's. Good food from about noon on, choice of chx, beef, pork, and fish. On Pedro Clisante.
The bad:
Not being able to sit in a bar and relax. Jolly Roger, Baileys, Rubys are good for this, everywhere else you will have company in 30 seconds. It's cool the first couple times, but after a few days it gets old. Find a wingman to hang with and it's not so bad.
How should I put this, maybe "other treats"-
Passions. A little bit of heaven, if you can handle the pressure. So many beautiful girls, and they all want more. Expect to have 3 girls on you at all times, tried hard but couldn't find an ugly one in the bunch. Expensive if you want to do more than look, but at the same time, no BS. Prices are set, they won't steal or beg for more at the end of the night.
There are a bunch of massage places. 300 to 500 will get you in the door for an hour or so.
The street girls are a different story. Found a couple gems, but for the most part, they are what you would expect. Trying to get as much money as possible for the least amount of time. You will learn to say no real quick. Of course, always set prices and how much time before going back to the room. I don't really like tln, would much rather sleep by myself. Most of the girls would ask for 3000 right away, for that price I could stay home. So put your negotiating skills to work. It was pretty easy to reach a number we could both live with, just remember when you are done, they're going to ask for money for a motoconcho, and they expect a tip. Don't know how this got started, the first couple times it was irritating, I don't tip. After asking some of the guys I met around town, most were tipping anywhere from 200 to 500 pesos. So just changed what I want to "pay", called the rest a tip, and everybody's happy.

No, actually the reason I ask is I am using the passion "menu" prices in the back of my head when negotiating with the free lancers. It will serve as a guideline, not a rule. Basically I will frequent Passions, check out the talent, but will also carouse through other parts of the town, and when meeting other (pro / semipro) chicas I have a frame and price of reference to help me discuss prices fairly for both parties.
I know I know, I read tons of posts about what ISG members are paying or are willing to pay, which I will call the lower limit, but if there is a girl that has the bod plus a great personality, I would be willing to fork over a higher price but at the same time I have to be careful not to wind up as a pendejo, paying chicas more then what they would earn working in let's say Passions. Went out at 11pm two dozen people in Rumba Dlatins was half full El Flow was full Merengues and Latinos sparesly populated and Bar Central was packed. Rental Car got it at National the 3 smallest a Nissan with 3rd party and tire insurance, no accidents.
Cell phone SIM got on first floor on right of runway leaving SDQ at Orange store, got a big slab of pizza to go next store on the way out. Used my new Garmin and GPS chip that worked out well.
I didn't get sick this trip while leaving the DR, the last two trips was blowing chunks out both ends for 3 days afterwards. I stayed away from lettuce and ice. I avoided the ice mostly because I bought a neoprene bottle cooler with a zipper to keep my beer cold seeing a rarely drink more than a beer an hour so it prevented my beer from getting warm.
2 others gadgets worth mentioning I got a new Pacsafe under the belt pick pocket proof wallet with slashproof belt that fits beneath my jeans with keys, passport copies etc. Also I picked up a new Waterproof Digital camera. It was a bit pricey for me at 400 dollars but the Olympus cameras for the beach in the past really sucked. It has 33x zoom GPS it is the Pentax WG-1 GPS. I think the pics were good for beach pics but judge for yourselves.
Met some quality dudes this trip, Sydney from this board, again it was a pleasure, if you guys ever get the chance to meet him he is a chatterbox with some awful good stories. Herman's old landlord at Tradewinds another quality person, Rick at Rockies, I thanked him for helping the guy that the owner of Terra Linda left hanging in jail, oh and Philly he isn't on this board but he is a chatterbox too, it was a pleasure.
Got cheap weiner pills, thanks Frannie for your Latinos ad. Picked up 2 boxes of vitamin V and 2 boxes of Cialis, pill prices in DR still way cheaper than Colombia prices and the V is `100 mg not 50's.
350 chicas per night on the strip each night on Friday and Saturday nights the best I can estimate. Not as many butt fucking uglies as in the past, I would put the quality as not attractive to good with a couple of cutes ones but with no stunners so mediocres mostly. Mr E's new novia was probably the best looking chica on the Thursday night. Their might have been some stunners at D'Latins on Friday and Saturday but it is so frickin packed there is no way to get a good look at them because the don't walk the sidewalk much.

The other kid who mistaked me for someone else at the beach and wanted to pick a fight, won't hold it against him seeing he was in his early 20's he doesn't know better. Got the unfortunate privledge of seeing the Lord of the Carnys again.
The weather sucked, rained alot and screwed up my beach plans.

Couple more things, I kept an eye out for those big pot holes near Nagua, I saw them coming to Sosua but they were fixed before my return.
Didn't get bags searched coming or going in the DR or the USA.
Puerto Plata Discos, bars and beaches were completely dead with the exception of Cristols disco.
Herman was bitching about noone coming to Sosua because guys on the internet boards complaining about girls scamming and stealing. LMAO
Pedro was not blocked off on any night despite the scheduled closing.
Waited at Baily's 45 minutes to get a beer and over an hour for our pizza.
Beers at Passions were 100 pesos as was D'Latins. Beers at Rumba were 70 pesos. Considering the free lap dances at Passions it seems the better value. LOL

That might not matter to you, in which case it is irrelevant, but probably there are plenty of guys who don't want their novias to know what they are up to.
What are the prices in thoses establishments?

No one in Medellin speaks English other than the non-Spanish-speaking or Bi-lingual monger (there are some Colombians that speak English, but they are very few, far, and between). I speak a fairly decent amount of Spanish and even I was having some trouble (especially with the Colombian dialect). If anyone is interested in how an intermediate Spanish-speaker will fare in Medellin for the first time, you can find my reports in Mr. Gogo's forum.
I think Sousa and Cartagena may be more comparable in terms of being equal (no Spanish needed). Also Cartagena has LDV which is very similar to Classicos in Sosua (although LDV chicas are probably 10x hotter). You don't have anything like that in Medellin (pro pickup bars).

In one of my reports I talked about us only really knowing "monger Spanish" which mainly consists of "What's your name?" "Where are you from?" "How much?" etc. Although fictional, telenovelas can give you a better since of what everyday Spanish conversations sound like. I alternate watching them with and without the subtitles. The expressions on their faces and the body language can tip you off most of the time as to what is currently going on between the characters.
You can watch some of them for free at Hulu Latino, although Hulu has been locking up a lot of their shit lately and most of the content is inaccessible unless you subscribe to Hulu Plus (h+). One telenovela I used to watch often was "La Que No Podia Amar". Lots of interesting characters (like Don Rogelio) and also has some very hot actresses to keep your attention!
Another thing you can do is watch some of your favorite movies using the Spanish audio track. Most movies now days come with a Spanish audio track option. You could also use the English subtitles.
Skyping is cool too. A real test of your language skills because if you cannot hold a conversation about everyday topics with a chica (best practice would be with a quote/unquote "Non-Pro") then there will be a lot of dead air on the line. You will just be watching your Skype minutes slowly start counting down to zero; especially if you have to stop every 5 seconds to try to hammer out something via Google Translate. Just beware that some chicas have no shame in asking you to send them money.

As far as Sosua though, I have been going there since 2008 and was there as recently as of May this year. It was the most disappointing trip I've ever had in regards to quality. I completely 110% believe the crackdown that started in late 2010 attributed to this. Pretty girls want / need to make money, but they sure as hell don't want to get locked up in the process. They all got scared off. You had some real gems strolling around there pre-crackdown. Some could still be found in Classicos late at night when I was there in May, but the evening class of chica talent was pathetic.
I have been able to find some quality chicas (in terms of looks) via Dominican Cupid though. Some of them (in looks) blow any chica I've ever banged in Sosua completely away.

At least DR is small enough that I can rent a car and drive all around the country. I've never attempted that in Colombia and never will. Hell flights are only $50 between cities anyway and taxis are cheap to take around the city. Hotel, you pay per person not per room.

I noticed Herman didn't have any girls at his beach bar the half dozen times I walked by, it looked like a sausage festival.
The Casino that adjoins Pure Disco on the West end of Playa Dorada had some fine looking chicas working there if you got the moves like OldKool.

Don't know where Big D is, his beach place was closed 2 of the 3 times I was there and he was nowhere to be found.
The first beach you come to after turning West towards Nagua after the Toll road looks like it might be an interesting stop on a Sunday afternoon, and with the Cabana directly across the road even better.

Just head up to the publico stand, tell the driver aeropuerto, he gestured to us with 4 fingers which meant we had to pay double the rate ie: for 4 persons. When getting into the taxis at the terminus you can pick and choose your copassengers to some extent, so you might want to avoid traveling with very large co-passengers who suck out all the air.
Assuming your luggage is easily portable of course. It's a significant walk from the terminal out to the road.About 250 yards from the edge of the parking lot. It is just a few minutes on foot, OK with a carry-on, but a bit sweaty with anything larger. The walk is slightly uphill. Sometimes you can get a publico at the gate, because a lot of airport workers use them to get to and from work.

Brazil is my favorite country to visit. There is just something about their culture that is hard to put in words.
(But I have never been south of Rio and do not know what that is like. The south is supposed to be more European than the north.)

In Sosua, go to Playero supermarket.
I almost forgot. I spent 2 days in Sosua. Monday and Tuesday nights were just fine. Plenty of guys hanging out and eye balling scores of ladies. I made a pack with self that I would take my time. 1. Sosua beach, AC no beach.
2. AC big mall, Sosua no mall.
3. Sosua chicas free range. AC girls mostly attached to bars.
4. AC pretty much set price because you pay directly to the bar. Sosua you do direct negotiations with the girl.
5. Hotel prices and quality pretty much the same.
6. AC 1 disco. Sosua 2 discos but one opens after the other closes so you will find the same people at both.
7. AC much bigger than Sosua but still all the action is centered in one walking distance location in both places.
8. AC bigger selection of food choices.
9. AC offers professional quality certified massage venues. Sosua has hole in the wall hot boxes with rub and tug on the menu. Sosua is pricer for the massage that is not done by certified professionals.
10. In AC the bargirls have routine health exams and have to wear their picture ID and health card on a lanyard around their neck (disclaimer: PLEASE see present STD discussion in AC thread). In Sosua caveat emptor.

Maybe because Blackbeards has been offering the same good and steadily improving service for eight years whereas Field of Dreams has had a very patchy history and there is no guarantee their present good patch will last? That would be an important consideration if you were booking further ahead, but I don't think anything dramatic is going to happen to Field of Dreams over the next four weeks.
You won't go wrong with either but you are not comparing like for like. They each have their own stronger and weaker points, so it depends on what you are looking for. This has been discussed ad nauseam on this board over the past six months so I am not going to repeat it all again. But you won't find the info in the Sosua section. If you are deciding between two Puerto Plata locations I wonder why you decided to post in the Sosua section.
Incidentally early / mid December is a peak period down here. If you don't book soon you may find it hard to reserve at Blackbeards and maybe also at Field of Dreams.
Don't get hung up on the pictures posted by Blackbeards. Chicas turnover fast. But you can be assured they are a representative collection (not bait and switch). If those particular ones aren't there others of a similar standard will be.

If you go to Sosua it is the only place to monger. Mongering in Puerto plata, Santiago is not that easy.
If you plan to go to Angeles city, You can monger in Subic, Manila or take a short flight to Cebu. Read those forums to get an idea.
Another consideration is do you like latina type of women or Asian type? If you like big boobs or big asses on young girls go to Sosua. Asian women tend to have small statures and sometimes non existant boobs like they say in USA flat as a tennis court. Having been both places the girls tend to be more GFE in Philippines but you need to take a vacation for atleast two weeks. Depending on where you live ofcourse.
Since I live in Sosua if I have few days to a week I go to Sosua. Any longer I go to Phi. Over the years I have mongered all over the world and now I prefer Phi non bar girls.

Thanks for the input. Your report makes it a lot harder for me to decide. I have been hearing some great things about the Phi. Especially angeles city. My original plan was to go to sousa. The look of the women does not matter to me that much. I guess I am more into the GFE.
