I arrived in Sosua yesterday and hit the Western Union to change some money. There were 3 chicas there picking up money. The western union novios live! LOL! They werent even great looking. Fuck that luv bs. I'm at the Hotel Piero, which is a block behind Passions. Its basic, but decent. Free transportation to and from the airport and free breakfast. I took a girl from merenge bar early, cute fair skinned flaca. She was pretty good. Came back to merengae just to drink, but I ended up taking 2 cute dominicanas. They were sexy, dancing and putting on a show. Despite a short recovery time I got it up and had a great sessions. One girl went to the bano, and of course I found her in the other bedroom. However, I had chica proofed before I left. ISG training pays off! All in all a good selection of chicas at Merengue and D Latins. Hope it holds up tonight. Its like Old Kool says. In Sosua only fuck the girls you really want. There are Wayyyy more hot girls here than I can do.

Also does anyone know what March weather is like? I want to try and enjoy the beach if I can.

ThanksI think you are doing things ass backwards is it too late to change plans to spend weekend in Sosua instead?

Christmas day was a little slow around town, the beach as well. There was a hot morena in the Meeting Place in the afternoon. She was available, but there was a guy hovering in the background that she kept glancing at. Maybe he was her chulo, it didn't feel right, so I walked away. Downtown was JUMPING at night. One of the bargirls at Rumba said she was down to hook up after work, but I couldn't wait until 430. LOL! The selection was good at D Latins! The music was good too. I ended up with a hot flaca haitiana. Oh my God! The looks I got from the dominicanas couldve KILLED! LMFBO! She didn't care, nor did I. She was awesome in la cama! She was equally as good in the morning! Mannn she could take it! As I walked her out the guy across the hall came out with a haitana just as hot! These girls are giving the dominacanas a run for the money! Supposedly the last couple of days was the slow season. I can't wait to see what comes next! Brother out!

I prefer bullet points, so as opposed to writing a story, I'll just provide the highlights.

Punta Cana.

So I spend my first few nights (Dec 13-16th) in Punta Cana at the Cap Cana resort for a wedding. No report from there, but I will say that they place is pretty nice (although expensive) if you're ever thinking about getting away for a bit. Occupancy was only 20% out there as well and the locals seemed to really be hurting from the lack of tourism. Cab from airport was $25 USD and a nice 4 star 2 bd suite was $150.

Santo Domingo.

On Sunday the 16th I took an Expreso bus from Punta Cana to Santo Domingo. Cost was 400 pesos I believe. Nice ride and only a couple side of the road stops. 4hrs total. Final stop was in the Zona Colonial and I then took a taxi (250 peso fixed rate) to my hotel, the Palacio. The Palacio is nice, safe, and conveniently located. Cheapest rooms were $75, but after tourist fees it adds up to $105, minimum. Walked around a bit that night and sent some PMs to guys on the board. Saw a few SWs on the Calle Conde, but that's not really my style so passed. Around 10pm I went to look for Playboys. Despite everyone saying it was open I was unable to locate it and it must be incredibly quiet or possibly closed on Sunday. From there I decided to go down towards Foxy's / Dolls. I went into Dolls and was immediately surrounded by 15-20 girls. A bit intimidating to say the least as I was the only one in the casa. Girls were mostly 6's and 7's with a couple 8's and one girl who was bordering on 9. Beers were 500 pesos so I passed on that and after some chatting (I speak basic Spanish) with a few of the girls I chose one of the 8's with a nice face and banging body. Cost was 3500 pesos for 1 hr in house or 2hrs out. I got them down to 3000 pesos, despite some intimidation by saying that I needed money for the cab and had only planned on 2500 pesos. Somehow it worked. Palacio was no problem bringing the girls back.

Monday I toured Santo Domingo as I had been hoping to see some of the historical sites. To be honest there was nothing really to see and it's not worth going for. I grabbed a couple beers with Mr Enternational in the afternoon and then cleaned up for the evening. That evening I wanted to watch the Monday Night Football game so I went to Champions Sports Bar in the Marriott Renaissance. It turned out to be an absolute waste of money as I was the only one in the entire bar and the prices were as high as the US (like $14 for a burger and fries). I stayed through the half and then did a pass through the casino to see if there was anything. There only appeared to be one cute 7 chica, but I passed and took a cab back to the Palacio as I wanted to catch a 7am bus to Sosua the next day. Overall I thought Santo Domingo had some very cute girls if you went to the casas, but didn't see much aside from that. I also got a feeling that the place wasn't very safe and I could get mugged. And I've travelled all over the world so this is saying something. Kind of like the feeling one gets in some parts of Rio just off the beach.

Santo Domingo to Sosua.

I got up early Tuesday, took a 300 peso taxi to the Caribe Tours station and bought a 330 peso ticket. Overall a pretty straight forward process. I had one piece of luggage that was stored underneath, but didn't up having any issues despite my apprehensions. It ended up being a very pretty ride once we got outside of SD. There were a couple very cute 8's on the bus and I flirted with one a bit. Unfortunately she got off after 1. 5 hrs and was replaced with an older woman LOL. The bus was a bit cold so be sure to wear long pants and shirt. The overall ride was 4. 5 hours with stops in La Vega, Santiago (actually some cuties right around the bus stop) , Puerta Plata, and finally Sosua (about 1km west of the main town). A taxi ride from the drop off to Rockies was then 250 pesos. Overall, if pressed I would say the bus is a decent option. Caribe Tours has 1 bus to Sosua every hour from 7am-5pm and Metro has buses at 7am. 11am, and 3pm as of this writing. I also understand that there are Metro buses that leave from closer to the Santo Domingo airport so can try that.

Sosua.

Mary Rose.

I was going to stay at Sosua Suites, but after talking with Rick switched to Mary Rose. I could not have been happier with my decision. It's a little ways away, but is only a cheap moto concho ride away and provided a quieter respite from the main calle. Was a nice place to chill and I think the girls really liked it.

Bars.

El Centro. Great bar. 3-1 girls to guys, but almost all Haitians and German men. Herman, the manager as well as the staff were great and very honest. Always returned change and I tipped them well.

D'Latin. Great most of the week and ranged from 3-1 to 8-1 ratios depending on the time of the night. Most girls I talked to were Dominican and from Santo Domingo or Santiago for a short time. Also some real lookers. The bartenders were a bit obnoxious and several times either over-charged me or wouldn't give me back change. I'the say all the girls I took (and others can confirm this) were 8's and prices ranged from 1500 pesos for 2 hrs to 3000 for all night (Colombian looking hottie at 3am)

Classicos – Opened up the end of the week, but wasn't too busy and appears to still have some work to do.

Passions – Good as always. Tue / Wed there were consistently 30 girls, with most in the 6-7 range and a couple 8s. Nothing too stunning in my book. Thur- Sat the girls were a little more attractive as I think some came in from the rest of the island for the weekend. There was a fairly big cut off at 10pm with girls being taken out so best to stop in around 9:30, see what's going on and then make your decision. The floor manager, Louis I think, also asked for a propina and for me to buy him a beer a couple times so be wary of him. The girls I took were all great performers and couple even made me eggs in the morning (ha). Eating huevos while having your huevos 'done' was quite nice.

CMP – Stepped in there and looked around on Wednesday around 11pm. One tall and light looking looker, almost a 9 in my book, but wanted 5000 pesos for 2 hrs. I later heard that the bar has given some ISG members trouble so avoided it the rest of the trip.

Other

Kite Boarding – I did 2 ½ days in Cabarete with 'Kite Club. ' It was a great experience and if you're interested in learning the ropes I would recommend them. The weather and wind this time of year is a bit inconsistent, but they charge by the hour so it was all very flexible. Also, most of the kiting runs from 12-6pm so you can sleep in a bit before it.

Restaurants – Recommend Movida and Ordichee. Both great spots, great food and staff, well worth the price.

Money Changer – The gentleman on Cedro Pisante, amongst the bars and just around the corner form Rocky's tried to short-change me twice. I also recall that he tried it last time I was here which was 2 years ago so watch your money. Both times it occurred when I gave him a $50 USD and he only gave me back 1800 pesos despite the exchange rate being 39:1 (should have been 1950 pesos). After I called him on it he paid up.

Chicas. I had one girl go to the cops saying that I owed her 2000 pesos for sex when I didn't touch her so watch out! Backstory. It was very late one night and I allowed her to charge her phone and wait inside my room (door open) for her friends as she lived in Puerta Plata and needed a ride. She was drunk and I felt sorry for her and trusted her. Next thing I know it's 20-30 mins later and she's asking for 2000 pesos! I said no-way! . Pushed her out and closed the door on her. Evidently she called the cops, but the security guard turned them away. The next night I was grabbed by the DR national guard on the main strip and taken to the police station. Thankfully the truth won out (her story of me fucking her kept changing) and they let me go, giving me hi fives and locking the chica up. That said, it could have been a lot worse and they could have asked for a bribe (which they didn't. So kudos to them). Watch your backs brothers!

Moto Conchos – During the day most rides were 25 pesos ($0.70USD) , but could be 50 pesos if they left from the beach or if it was raining. At night they were 50 pesos, but drivers tried to charge me 100 pesos a couple times from Passions. A ride to Cabarete was 200-250 pesos, but I suggest a taxi if you value your life!

Buenos Suerte.

SD can be a little challenging if you are not into casas. We do not have time really court non pros on our vacations. I had good results with the el conde SWs. I had 2 on my last trip that were very nice. One was a 8 or better. what I found is that if you talk to them a bit not all are hard core chicas. I paid 1500 for really good service and felt I had a little control. I am used to SD and did not feel insecure but I understand that there are a lot of deperate people who you look like a target to. I am black and could pass for Dominican. I keep a low profile and try to blend in. Sosua is Sosua you can have everything you want at a great price, I have not had problems with the Sosua girls scamming but lately guys are reporting girls doing shakey stuff. Being picked up by policia would have made me very nervous. I am glad it worked out for you.

Good report Chi Town! I'm glad the truth prevailed and the cops let you go! Sosua is a different town during the day. I enjoy chatting with the expats and other tourist from around the world. Its interesting who you meet here. I was in the mood for an after noon romp, I went to rumba and ran into a hottie. She gave great service! That night I really just wanted to drink and enjoy the eye candy. There was plenty of it at D Latins. I ended up with a cute morena. Couldn't resist. 5 days left, I'm going to need the blue pill. Good reporting Chicago and brotherP. I once had a situation where I called a chica I met at La Serena up to hang with me in Sosua. We met at Latinos and drank for an hour when I got a call from my regular saying she was waiting for me at NG. I told the girl I had to go but offered 500p for her time and cab fare. The girl went ballistic. I I left Latinos with her following and cussing. She stopped the cops. I told the cops no sex o nada. I asked them to ask her what hotel I'm staying at. The girl couldn't say where I was staying or describe anything to justify her having spent major time with me privately. The cops told the girl to get lost and she stormed off cussing. I said thanks and started to walk away when the cops asked for the 500p meant for the girl which I gave them.

My point is if these girls can describe something that they would only know by spending private time in you room, then the cops will think someting went on and give their accusation credit.

The older gent there that wears the glasses (who is there during the morning and afternoon) is legit. In my case and in the case of two of my friends it indeed was the younger guy but why would anyone go to ANY place of business that has gone out of their way to screw people for years regardless of who was working there at the time. If I went to a business in the USA and an employee deliberately short changed me I would sure as fuck not do business with them ever again. And the kicker is their rates suck too. They are in a convenient spot and at night most of the guys going in there are drunk or on their way to being drunk and they know this and they are taking advantage of the situation, scumbags.

This guy, across from Terra Linda is legit, he will try for 39. 75 or 40 if the rate is 40. 25 at Santa Cruz and will adjust if you call him on it. 95% of the tourists walking past him have no clue what the interbank rate is. He has never tried to steal more than 1/2 a peso on the tasa from me over the years, a decent "Street Rate" should be no worse than. 25 off the mark. Most street cambistas work for large guys and only try and shave the rate a little for themselves.

Was in Sosua recently for the evening and a lot has changed since I was last there, and not for the better.

At night it is like all the bars on Pedro Clissante have declared nuclear warfare on each other with flashing lights, blasting music, and large TV screens, each trying to drown out their neighbor with the result that there is a total cacophony of badly distorted music to the extent that you can't even tell what kind of music is playing. Difficult to find a place where you can have a conversation without shouting.

There were still some pretty girls around, although Metrobus was laying on extra buses the Friday before Christmas to take girls home. My advice would be to walk around until you see a girl you like the look of, take her out of the bar to someplace quieter, like a small restaurant down the street, and check her out and decide if you want to do something with her. Spend any time in the bars and you will just end up with a headache.

Honestly I usually just hop a moto to Western Union or walk to the ATM. But I also try to avoid the motos now. The last time I was on the back of one I almost had my knee taken off by a passing van.

The price difference for a flight to STI vs POP was $500 so I decided to take the taxi-bus route from STI. While I don't regret it, please learn from my mistake and COORDINATE your flight / bus times. The metro bus is the only bus line that goes to Sosua (Caribe only goes to puerto plata). There are only a few buses each day to Sosua, while there are (I believe) one every hour or two to puerto plata. I ended up staying in the bus station for over four hours. If you can coordinate everything properly, you can easily save a few hundred and only be burdened with an extra three hours of taxi / bus ride, although the ride through the countryside is pretty bland and shouldn't count for much.

I'm currently in Sosua-can someone recommend / provide a list of suck shacks? Also, recommend some daytime activities?

Thanks

"Change!", LOL. I had a feeling that was the guy you were talking about. I've never used him though. In general I never deal with those guys on the street. But if he is legit then that is good to know.I would ask them first what rate of change they are going to give you for the amount you want to change. Obviously if you ask to change a small amount of money, you will probably get a lesser rate of exchange. However getting 39 instead of 40 on an exchange of $50 would only cost you 50 pesos, a trivial sum in the overall scheme of things, for a slight convenience (available on the street near the bars out of office hours.)

By comparison you might buy a bottle of cold Dasani water in Sosua for 15 pesos, but pay the equivalent of 50 pesos for it in the US at a Circle K, an additional cost of 35 pesos for the convenience of not having to travel to Sosua!

I'm currently in Sosua-can someone recommend / provide a list of suck shacks? Also, recommend some daytime activities? You need to meet up with some experienced ex-pats who can show you around. Suggest you try Rocky's Bar for late breakfast (around 11.30am) and ask Rick the manager to introduce you to reliable guys. Also wander along the beach path from about 3. 00pm. Usually a few friendly guys at Ruby's Vulkan bar.

When leaving SD on metro they have a 7am. 11am, and 4; 30pm that go all the was to Sosua. The 1pm bus from SD stops at Puerto Plata not Sosua. I fucked up on this a few trips back. Carrib tours has hourly buses to Charmicos from SD. The cabbie charged 200p to take me from Charmicos to New Garden. I had two peices of luggage so I didn't try to talk him down.

There is a place across the from Rockies next door to the salon. There is a cute 23 year old who is down for everything. I had to make her stop cause I needed my leche for another girl. She is cute and very friendly. The price started at 500 pesos. The massage was nice and the suck was excellent. Hell you are in Sosua you can not go wrong.

I just got back a few days ago from Sosua Trip. It was my fourth and turned out to be a good one as always, however, it did not start that way. I flew in to STI the for my first time (Usually fly into POP) because the price difference was like 500 dollars less. Get to STI (840PM flight) I did not see my bag on the carousel (What a terrible feeling). I then went to the baggage claims dept. And the guy told me my bag was in Miami. Long story short I did not get my bags until two days later. My New Garden Driver was waiting when came out (30 minutes later) glad the guy did not leave. We went the mountain route to sosua, should of ask the guy to take the Puerta Plata route which is a safer and smoother route at night at (So I'm told).

So I'm heading to Sosua without my checked bag. Next time I will not check a bag (You really don't need much in Sosua other than Cash). So back to my story, I'm thinking to myself during the drive. Am I going to let this baggage thing get the best of me and mess up my trip or will I just forget about my bag until it gets here and make the best of the situation. I chose the latter. I get to the New garden take shower and headed to the action. Went straight to D'Latino's to see what the fuss was about (I'm a big Classico guy). As been stated before, D' Latino's is a monster! Very large and spacious. I've passed this place many times on previous trip never looked inside. Even though I was disappointed that classico's did not reopen during my trip, D' Latino's more than suffice. That place was packed every night even on the 23rd when many chica from out of town went home, there were enough Sosua and Puerta Plata chicas to keep the place full with a pretty good selection.

The Chicas I kicked it with was great for the most part as always. If you are respectful and direct with the chicas you should be okay with them. Guys please do not get into the game playing with them by saying things you don't mean and waisting their time. If chica approaches you that you are not interested in (which happens a lot) please be polite and try your best to keep your conversation short. Just a word of advice from a 4th time visitor with very minamal issues with chicas. Another Sosua visit and another great trip. Love Sosua! Peace out!

I've been in Sosua for a few days now and have been having a blast, but I'm wondering what would be the best thing to do for new year's eve. Would there be any chance of me hooking up with local non-pros in Santiago, at say, one of their trendy nightclubs (like with university students). To give some perspective, I am in my twenties, and have had incredible success with local girls in the Philippines (where I use pros as a last resort). If I had a good time and didn't get laid, I wouldn't regret it that much, as long as I had a good time. If I was back at home I would have spent hundreds at some nightclub only to go home and jack off (or even worse, fuck my girlfriend) , so even if I had a somewhat decent shot at getting laid, I'd be down for it.

The police in the white shirts did a sweep last night. I was in Rumba whe they came in. They walked right past two haitian girls theat were standing near me. IN Rumbas I didn't see anyone get arrested. Appx a half hour later they came in D Latins, as Sydney said they blocked both exits. They were checking cedulas of both dominicans and haitians, I seen one guy get searched. THey had the DJ stop the music. The owner showed up and he was pissed. The way he spoke to the police I thought he would get arrested. At that time the wagon they had was full. Some chica in the club said they had a list of people they were looking for. After that it was a good night, after 5 days a lot of the faces are getting famailiar, but theres enough hot new girls to keep it interesting. I still can't fuck them all! LOL!

So am I correct in understanding that D latins and the new Classicos is owned by the same person? I'm just curious. The new Classicos, or whatever its called, had the grand opening last night. IT is nice in there. There were a few girls there I had not seen at D Latins, including a tall haitiana built like a brickhouse that I just had to have! I couldn't resist all that chocolate! Lo siento chicas! LMFBO!

There are lots of middle-class bars and restaurants strung out along about a quarter of a mile along Avenida Luis Ginebra which runs from the stadium into the heart of the city (and is therefore cheap and easy to access from Sosua). That is where the young non-working girls are celebrating in the holiday season. You will need to speak some Spanish and if you can dance the local dances (bachata & merengue) that will help a lot, but then that would apply in Santiago too. Wouldn't fancy your chances of getting in their knickers on the first date unless you look like Antonio Banderas though. I only mention it because that is the sort of scene you just don't find in Sosua.

SAturday night in Sosua! I had thought there would be a influx of hot girls for the weekend. There were some new faces, girls from Santiago and Santo Domingo down for the weekend. Most were 7-8s in my book. There really were'nt many 9 and 10s. One chica from the capitial told me her bus for home left at 4am! I hope she got a client!

I had assumed all the girls in Classicos were putas. As I passed one hot girls dancing near a table I ran my hand across her back and across her ass, which was very nice. She hit me in the arm and stalked off. A dominacan came out of the crowd and started speaking to her. I was sure I was about to get into a fist fight However, he seemed to be angry with her. WIthout looking at me he put his beer on the table and they left. I guess I need to be more careful, though I don't know why a guy would bring his girl to a puta bar. I was looking for the ambush when I left, but I had no problems. I hooked up with a sexy dominicana whom I had seen dancing. WHen we got to the hotel she decided not to give me the agreed uopn BBBJ. I told her "ropa why vamos"! SHe stated she wanted 1500 pesos for "me tiempo". I told her 1000 pesos and vamos, or I'd call security. SHe decided to give me my BBBJ, after that she was well behaved. Had a good morning session with her. I didn't give her a propina. Normally I try to avoid conflict with chicas, I meet one guy at the Coco hotel who was arrested recently after some conflict with a chica, I think hes on some kind of passport hold. THis time the chica backed down, I may have gotten lucky! Its been a drama free fun trip, hopefully no more drama!

Sounds like things are normal in Sosua. I never put my hand on a woman I do not know. Even putas can take a offence. I once saw a guy get ***** slapped in a strip club for unauthorized groping. 7/8 is very good for chicas. I have been in Classicos and seen such hot women that I could not pull the trigger. A great problem to have. Nice looking lady in the picture. Looking forward to your next report,

But I'm sure guys are too embarrassed to report it). Pretty soon it's not going to make any sense to fly thousands of miles trying to get pussy and end up getting arrested when you can do the same thing in your own city (get arrested for trying to get sum pussy) minus the hotel and airfare.

Belive it or not, but (for you newbies) once upon a time there was not a shitload of cops hanging around Sosua like there is currently.

If you do not do something really stupid I doubt youi will have any problems. For my money Sosua is the most fun a grown can have.

It made me love the Sosua even more. Flight to Rio is almost 1300 dollars and women are over 100 bucks for short time. They pay almost 3k US for a week. I pay about $1200 my week my flight is $400. However Rio guys are certAIn that Rio pussy is the best in the world. Frankly if I can have a hot 20 something in my bed and pay $40 I am happy.

I started traveling in 2007 and have been to most of the major Latin American destinations Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica etc. This will be my 8th trip to the DR and I wanted to experience New Years in Sosua for 7 days.

Sunday, December 30th day 1.

Try to avoid changing money at MIA or POP the exchange rate is 34-1 market is 40-1. My favorite taxista picks me up at POP and gives me good intel about my future trip to Santo Domingo warning me only to take authorized taxis and to avoid the hack taxis that are known to set up their passengers. He advised always look for their identification before you ride with them. He takes me to the Supermercado for a few snacks then drops me off at the hotel.

I stayed 7 days at Hotel Plaza Europa nice staff, apartment style room. When you walk in the room you're in the bedroom then you walk through a door and you enter the living room and kitchenette. The room was obviously dated the mattress was hard but I got used to it. Despite the squeaky ceiling fan it was very comfortable especially for $45. 00 per night. I think I will enjoy my stay here.

I started my evening at D Latin with grilled ¼ chicken and a salad. The chicken was just a little on the salty side but very tender and tasty. The salad had just a sprinkle of vinegar and hit the spot. This pequeno boracho sat down at my table and started talking to me I ignored him until he asked for 100RD after saying no he stumbled away adios. LOL! A caramel colored chica about 5'6' 140lbs with less than 10% body fat post in front of me while I am eating and started doing her modeling thing. She was perfectly formed with tight abs, thighs and legs that were well defined. The body was tight like a fitness model but the face not so much. She smiles and signals me over and I tell her 'lo siento es mas temprano' she looks at me and cracks up laughing and walks away. It was too early and I knew I had a long night ahead of me.

1. First up a 5'4' 115lbs flaquita that looked like she was dipped in gold and left in the sun to bronze from Las Terrenas was leaving to go back home in the morning so she couldn't do TLN. I was captivated by her million dollar smile and pleasant personality wants to be a lawyer when she done with the life. I loved her petite body and model face but in la cama she was just a little too professional for me. She started out very soft and gentle but the CBJ reminded me that this is not my GF. She wanted a propina and I told her I don't give propinas for CBJ's damage 1500RD.

2. I head back to D Latin's for round 2. I see and old acquaintance from previous trips, kiss her and give my saludos. She is 5'3' 120 lbs flaquita who looked more like butterscotch candy and her skin was so soft I just wanted to touch her body all night. We have been together twice previously and the sex was average, I keep going back because she looks identical to a crush back home and she is so nice it's difficult to walk away from her. Plus she did her dance thing you know how they do, she's headed to Santo Domingo in the morning. This session was the best of all 3, she was sighing in a way she hadn't previously, and doing some funny shaking moves with her hands; I didn't know if it was pain or pleasure. She said she was ok but I wasn't sure. In the morning she was ready to leave and I said 'mira quiero pasar un poco mas tiempo contigo' she complied and did a decent BBBJ and she made the sounds and hand motions again during sex. I still don't know if it's pain or pleasure. Damage 2000RD yeah, I know I didn't have to but I gave her 300D for the bus fare to Santo Domingo she smiled and said 'llamame. '

The recent trip to Costa Rica was at a casa, ST for 50 US. BJ without condom extra 20, if I wanted it to be GFE (Kissing and such) extra 20. Girl instisted not to CIM.

Panama was a very good experience but expensive, Peru the girls are not great looking and also expensive.

DR, always BBBJ, CIM, almost always GFE always felt like the girl wanted to be there (most likely acting) but it makes me feel better. With the extra expenses in the other locations, I get more for my dollar here than any other place I've visited.

I almost hate mongering in other locations, feels like a waste of money.

When I leave the Dr I always feel I have had a great bargain. The women exceed my expectation and the sex is always very good. Last trip my girls ranged from 18 to 32. They were all very accomadating. I used lube and toys with almost all of them. No push back. It is all about what floats your boat. I would love to do Rio but if the price is not good I will not be happy. It is the total package that makes the DR work.

How many Dominicanas have you popped in the corn-hole, one out of 10?

So please stop comparing Sosua to a place you have NEVER been. The steak in Brazil is better than anything I have ever eaten at The Palm for less than 1/3 of the price, so if you like to eat, you will eat like royalty for 1/3 of the cost of fine dining back home, and hump GDP's like a Prince. 4X4 in Rio make Passions look like a colmado.

I love DR as it is only a short hop from home, but there are other destinations that put it to shame.

Having said that, DR is a no-brainer given how close and inexpensive it is.I love Brazilian girls. They are my favorite in German FKKs, although you do not see them that often any more. I guess because they can now make more money staying in Brazil.

How safe is Rio and Brazil in general compared to Sosua and DR?

I was once in Sosua and BB and had a pretty good time. I did not see or have any problems but those security guys with shotguns around hotels, gated communities and banks do not install sense of security. You feel that they are armed for some reason and that made me feel uncomfortable.

Would you suggest cities other then Rio, such as Fortaleza in the north or some other smaller town at the seaside similar to Sosua? I am not fan of crowded mega cities to spend my entire vacation in.

Tmmw I'm out of here. Its been a good trip, but as most of you know nine days is Sosua can be exhausting! Right now this is my favorite destination. It's close, cheap, the girls are hot and usually fun. I always enjoy hanging out and talking to the other travelers and the expats. I meet some cool guys this trip. It surprises me that many of them don't belong to any of the boards.

New years eve was kinda tame in my opinion. I had expected to see lots of new faces but it did'nt happen. Sunday was FAR better! Hot girls everywhere! I ended up with a former Passions girl Sunday, she may have given the best BBBJ of the trip! I spent New years eve in Winners Circle waiting for a bartender to finish her shift. We did'nt leave until 5am, but I enjoyed the time. All the girls were cool. When they ordered food they invited me to eat with them. It was a nice change from my usual run and gun, wham bam routine. I plan to be here 4 times this year for 7-9 days per trip. I need to follow Old Kools lead and develop some "amigas". I can't screw all day, so it would be nice to have some cool girls to hang out with. Sometimes! LOL! Its easy for me to fall into the laid back island life. All I did was party and relax. No side trips or anything, but I don't have any regrets. Here's a few more photos.

I can see all the girls are smiling. You must have done something right. I am not sure I could last 9 days. I would be dry as a bone. Getting around the DR is not hard. The buses go every where. So if you can a chica you really click with try something different but if you do. You will need to leave Sosua. There so many women there no one woman can keep your attention. Find a good wing woman and you will have no regrets. Thanks for the pictures. Those of us here in sex prison appreciate them.

Monday, December 31, 2012 day 2.

I sleep late because when at home I work overnights so I am up when everybody else is asleep. I wake up and do some research for a project at work and I get a lot accomplished. I know this sounds strange but sometimes it's easier to work when you are not at work because you can move at your own pace.

It's New Years Eve and the Gentleman's Club (former Secrets) was closed. Though out the evening Classicos, Merengue Bar, Rumba, and Universo Bar & Resturant were slow with only a handful of patrons and almost no chicas. El Flow had a decent crowd but not many chicas.

At D Latin's what a difference a day makes. Yesterday the joint was off the chain with some of Sosua's finest but tonight it was wall to wall men. I suspect that Sosua's finest have returned home to spend time with their families. It appeared to be a 10-1 ratio with the Hatianas out in force and almost none were to my liking. It was so bad I was ready to pack it up and head back to the room. Passions crossed my mind however in 2 previous trips I had poor experiences with chicas so I cannot justify the prices for poor performance. I have dinner on the restaurant side of D Latin's pollo asado, habichuelas con arroz why ensalda. The chicken had a mild sauce that I enjoyed some of the rice was a little old after sitting out a while but I smothered the good part with beans that were quite tasty. The salad had little chunks of carrots in it that added to the texture and flavor. With just a sprinkle of vinegar the salad was on point.

I am bored stiff when Yanni walks by and smiles at me. She comes back and takes up a position as Madonna would say 'strike the pose. ' Although Yanni is a flaquita like I like them it is obvious she is not starving. Yanni has a little pouch that comes from that good Sosua living if you know what I mean. Yanni is about 5'5' 135lbs with braces, a vanilla ice cream colored complexion and a few small tattoos on her back and right bottom leg. She is wearing a multi-colored mini dress that she keeps pulling down because it is so short. Will somebody please explain why women wear micro mini dresses and keep pulling them down? It's like wearing stacked heels and taking them off to walk. I think she is quite sexy but a little aggressive for my taste but it's late and almost crunch time. I asked Yanni how long she has been in Sosua and she says a year. Yeah right, MENTIROSA! In the past 3 years on my trips to Sosua I have always seen her walking the streets of El Batey. This was the first of many red flags she would waive throughout the course of the night. We are sitting at the bar while she is paying me Sosua like attention complete with the lap dances touching caressing and light kisses. She is very sexy and provocative. I see an old favorita on the other side of the bar and her face lights up and we have an instantaneous connection and she walks over to me while Yanni is in my arms and I say 'disculpe por un momentito' she looks at me with this puzzled look and I step aside to hug mi favorita and we chat briefly apparently she knows Yanni and gives her a hug. Mi favorita gives Yanni her endorsement pointing at me smiling shaking her head affirmatively and saying something in Spanish. I can speak basic Spanish but I understand very little rapid fire Dominicano Espanol. We embrace again and mi favorita returns to the other side of the bar. Now Yanni starts acting funky looking at mi favorita and I ask her 'porque estas celosa? ' she just looks at me and turns away. A few seconds later she in my stuff again like nothing happened can you say 'loca? ' She grabs me by the hand and runs across the street to the German restaurant and we sit down. Now I can see the inside of her right arm a tattoo of a man's name and I enquire 'es tu novio? ' she pauses and looks at me with that 'oh shit' look and nods yes and quickly changes the subject. I asked her 3 times 'que quieres por tu regalo? ' and she kept ignoring me and on the last request she seemed to get angry I am thinking 'surely this can't be free! ' I say dos mil pesos and she agrees reluctantly it was if she didn't want to talk money I am like WTF? We get on a moto concho and ride to the hotel in the light rain. When we arrive in my room she plays with the TV for a minute so I try to go to the bathroom and she blocks my egress with her leg we are both fully clothed but she pulls me down on her. She opens her legs and pulls me in dry humping sighing and moaning and I am thinking to myself 'WTF? ' I get up and take a shower after which she does the same. We lay in the bed and she commences with the BBBJ which was okay but not long enough. We have wild sex multiple positions the most enjoyable being standing up while she was looking the mirror. Here's the catch I negotiated the tarifa but not the tiempo so she gets up and starts putting her clothes on so while she is looking in the mirror I sneak up from behind bend her over slide the panties to the side and here we go again. I am like this chic is off the chain like some porn movie in 2 hours I hit 3 times. Anyways she gets a call from her novio and starts to spazz out I am like WTF, it's time to go hunh? In retrospect it is probably better we didn't sleep together. I prefer suave sex as opposed to wild sex but I did enjoy the sex because she was very animated and passionate but out of the bed she was little too much for me and I would not repeat. I hear a voice saying 'nunca otra vez. ' Damage 2000RD and 100RD for moto concho, it was raining on and off and she said she lived far away, I wasn't going to argue with her over 50RD.

Hey guys. I'm looking for a hotel or apt to rent for a month which is chica friendly, walking distance, and large pool so I can swim laps for exercise in between sessions. Any suggestions? Terra linda / new garden too pricy to stay for a month.

Terra linda / new garden too pricy to stay for a month. There is a 50 foot pool at Romanoff hotel in Sosua and you can rent an apartment for about $500 per month. Also Puerto Plata Beach club in Puerto Plata has a 75 foot pool and apartments to rent monthly at a reasonable rate. There are not many places with decent pools for lap swimming as they are usually too small, curved, or have inconvenient steps or shallow areas. Romanoff is probably your best bet.

Cost to the METRO bus station will be from 300 to 500 pesos. Always ask before getting into a taxi. Also, use a debit card for pesos at a bank ATM. Repeat, a bank ATM. Do not use American Express checks as they are a pain in the ass to cash. At the airport, $10 US would equal about 400 pesos. It's a 15 minute ride to the Metro station. You will have to wait at the Metro station until around 700am. I am not sure if a bus will leave earlier for Sosua. The Metro bus will take you right into downtown Sosua. If you are not loaded down with luggage, you shouldn't be, take a motorcycle taxi to your hotel. Places like the New Garden, Terra Linda, CasaCayena, etc. Are with walking distance. 5 minutes. Take the side street to the right of the nose of the bus. It is about an hour and a half from Santiago to Sosua on the bus. They leave every hour. For my advice, bring 5 used paperbacks, ha ha. Happy hunting.

Wednesday, January 2, 2013 day 4.

I started at Rocky's for that favorite breakfast I recall the waitress from a couple years ago when she was much thinner maybe she had a baby or something I dunno. The waitress was very professional but not friendly it was like she was thinking 'I know you are a monger' and I'm like what do you know? Number 40 scrambled eggs, bacon, Rocky's famous potatoes and toast, I don't know what kind of jelly that was but it was muy sabroso!

Back to work almost finished my project then have lunch at Rumbas. I am sitting in the front facing Pedro Clisante and my back to the bar when Pocahontas taps me on the shoulder and says ' quieres tomar' I was so blinded by the sparkle in her black eyes the shine of her flowing black hair along with beautiful white teeth that fused seamlessly her Ebony skin I said 'para ti? ' she said no 'para ti' I said 'eres tan hermosa estar una masera' and we both cracked up laughing. I had a fish sandwhich and fries that was decent. Uh oh I ran into my pequena Hatiana and wow what a difference a day makes, without heels and her hair up she does not look that good and I am soooooooooooo glad and I didn't go with her. We exchange saludos and she asked me about last night's chica and after I explained she gave me the Kanye shrug like 'I told you so! ' and I looked at her like what do you know? She is not clingy aye que bueno she kisses me and off she goes.

I hit D Latin's for dinner for my favorite pollo asado arroz why habichulas why ensalada. The chicken was dry but I'll give them a break it was after 11pm. So I do the stroll and the joint is back in force after the holiday and I see this chica who literally looks like a model. She is 5'4' 120lbs with flawless ebony skin with her black hair pulled back which provided a simple but elegant look. She is wearing a simple strapless black dress that is snug but not too tight with heels that accentuated her thin shapely legs. She was dressed modestly pero tab sexy! I stop her and chat her up offer her a drink and what she order? GENTLEMAN jugo de naranga I'm like 'YES! ' a modest chica who doesn't drink. The whole time I'm talking to her she is Facebooking on her blackberry I am like WTF? She says 'hablame' I am like 'estas ocupado con tu telefono' she puts it away then starts up again. I say 'disculpe voy al bano' with no intention of coming back. She spots me later in the club grabs my hand and takes me to a seat. We negotiate ST for 1500RD and she is still with the & (phone she looks at me and says 'entonces? ' I responded by saying 'creo que puede encontrar otra hombre' she had this sad look on her face and I walked away. I wish I knew how to say 'rude' in Spanish but I left it alone. Now I am standing next to the chica Lionel Ricthie wrote about in his famous song 'Brick House' this woman had the ebony skin a like a pleasant smile 5'6' about 150lbs with a back extending from her back I was like woooooooooow! So we chat up and she won't give me a price and she finally says $2500RD for ST and $3000RD TLN I tell her the tarifa in Sosua is $1500RD for ST she turns and shows me her back as she walks away. Next up is another ebony chica who is on the slimmer side but very curvy 5'4' 120lbs I am not sure so I ask 'eres Hatiana o Dominicana? ' she says Hatiana and we talk about why Afro American men often times choose Dominicanas over Hatianas. Personally I have no science to back it up but if someone really wants Hatians they should go to Haiti she looked like she understood. Anyways she was muy complaciente and I was astounded at the fact that she spoke Creol, French, Spanish and a little English. I can barely speak English and I am talking to a woman who speaks 4 languages. She will not give me a price and she says prices are for Dominicanas can you say 'que bueno? ' We are off sex is okay BBBG wasn't anything to write home about but I think it's more me than her I am thinking about my project. Romanoff is probably your best bet.I think El Colibri also has a large pool. Hotel itself doesn't look too great.

After living here for 4 years, I would take a taxi out of the airport. Cost to the METRO bus station will be from 300 to 500 pesos. Always ask before getting into a taxi. .I had to pay 1200 pesos from the airport to hotel and 1200 pesos from metro station to airport. (30 $) May be I took the wrong taxi.

A taxi from the airport to Sosua is going to cost you now if I recall right 25 dollars although the ride usually costs 500 pesos round about 15 dollars.

Thanks for the reports Camaro. But it's like I said before:

Keep in mind though: not every chica plays by these "going rate" rules. Just as you might run into a chica in San Jose at the Del Rey who won't move off of her barstool for less than $200, you will have some chicas in Sosua who may be super-part-timing-it (tricking is not their only source of income) and they may come to Sosua with the intentions of getting no less than 4 or 5k for a session. And if she's fine enough, there will be someone in Sosua that will pay her what she is asking for.

Two things either happened to your "Brick House" ebony chica that night:

1) Somebody paid her fine ass 2500RD-3000RD

2) Her fine ass went home broke and hungry

Thanks for the reports Camaro. But it's like I said before:IN Dec I had two ocassions where a chica and I couldn't agree on a price. One wanted 2500 for ST. The other didn't mind BBBJ and sex at night, but didn't want to have sex in the morning even for 3000 pesos fot tln. Whats interesting is in both cases I kept seeing the chicas all night. First at D latins and then at classicos. I hope you're right about them only tricking part time. But I don't know, some of the chicas need to get better business sense! Both were extremely attractive.

But the price is $15? I have been traveling to the DR a very long time and I don't know anyone that has EVER gotten out of POP for 500 pesos, never. If you are saying that the locals pay 500 great but none of us are locals so then that is NOT the price. Also there are small billboards posted all over the north shore with posted taxi rates and the price is $25. I understand the "gringo" price structure but if ALL gringos are charged $25. And we are ALL gringos then $25. Is the price, no? It's kind of like saying that the standard price for a ST shag in the DR is 5-700 pesos, yes it is if you are a Dominican born and raised hombre but none of us are so it is a given that the price is 1500.

After that heat starts getting to you and you begin to think about those broads then you are just ready to go and will pay it. The rate I would always end up paying was $20 from the airport and $15 to the airport.

Put Rio on your bucket list, there is NO comparison to Sosua, yes it is a long trip and costs a bundle, but you only live once, and every GDP likes it in the bunda as part of the programma.

I love DR as it is only a short hop from home, but there are other destinations that put it to shame.I just had to chime in on Rio. Just got back from Nov. Trip.

Yes it has its ups and downs since Help closed, its expensive as hell, Balcony can be a joke, but the termas (4x4, Monte Carlo etc) and the casas would blow your mind. The toto from Copa beach alone makes DR look like a trash can (and I love and always will love Sosua. 50+ trips under my belt and 9 trips to Rio). Put this trip on your bucket list no matter what. I caution you that the depression you will feel upon return to the USA will be substantial. You could arguably go just for the food alone. It is that good.

I just can not see flying and paying that much for a good steak or pussy. I need one or two at a time that meet my standards. Everything else is surplus. I am a poor man and Sosua will suffice as my RIO. Right now I am so happy with the DR I do not want anything better.

I'd say what the others have said, just put it on your list. If you can get to it cool but if you can't well DR is nothing to laugh at either. I think the problem for a lot of mongers is financial but it's also their own minds. See so many folks just are not able to conceptualize something better than Sosua. It's def a great place but a lot of guys just have no desire to see beyond it. So the money coupled with the fact that there wasn't much desire to venture out kinda takes Rio off the list. I can't tell you how many guys I've had this Rio Sosua conversation with. It goes the same way each time. The guys that think Sosua has something on Rio are almost ALWAYS the guys who've never been to Rio. Those who've been to both know whats up. They know it's not even a discusssion.

Anyway, enjoy Sosua man. It's a great time. I'll prob make it down there sometime this year as well.

I was in the DR for around 3 weeks and spent around 4 days in Sosua this time. The Satuday right before Christmas I was going to check into the Club accross from Classicos becasue Classicos was not open at this time. It was around 2am. My wingman and myself heard a few loud bangs and people started running out of the club. Around a few minutes later people carried a dominican guy out of the club and layed him on the floor. He was bleeding everywhere and a few minutes later a police truck came and they picked him up and put him on the truck and took off. Another Dominican guy was wounded in the shoulder. There is no way in hell that this one guy survived. What got to me is that the police did not interview anyone. It could of been an American or a European guy. I remember 9 years ago the REAL SOSUA and how it was. Sosua is not safe anymore and the tourist police are nice but lazy. Some of them are my friends. Remember one thing guys, you are in a third world country. If you look on youtube you can see guns pulled on people in the bars. They also took the chairs out of the streets because of a big fight there 4 months ago and a dominican guy smashed a chair on another guys skull. The chairs are now outside. I like Sosua or the SEWER but it is changing for the worse. Hatians get arrested now for no reason anf the Dominican Women keep says excused to leave early in the morning. I always tell them to shut off the phone and you are leaving at 10am after I wake up late and blow my load. After all, we are paying for a service and there excuses are I need to go to the dentist in the morning, my baby is sick, I owe money for rent, I need to take a bus back to my city early. Of course they do not tell you this till they are in your place. I think Europa is a great hotel for the price. I just think to myself if I was in that club and I was shot how the police handled the matter. They didn't question anyone. I will never stay out past 1am there again I feel. I also assumed like always that they search people for guns. Also, the Sosua Bay Casino has new owners. Do not fall for the Con-Game inside where they give you a free token to play a ball game. It is rigged and then they ask you for money to keep playing, you will never win. I find Santiago is the best place to be to pick up women in the street and offer them 1500 pesos, with a little Spanish it goes a long way. The Car Wash i9s great and so is Illusions and of course passions. For the people trying to save a few bucks. When Passion closes, wait outside the gate and the women are cheaper but you must give the security guy a little tip. You can save between 1000 pesos and 1500 pesos but you must think if it is really worth it because you can be waiting for an hour in the dark in your car.

Stay safe.

It is more about your taste in women combined with what you can afford. I love the afro mix of the DR but no doubt if my funds were better I would do Rio in a heart beat.

OldKool, do your thing. DR is great. But know Rio has every shade from darkest chocolate to the lightest vanilla and all in between.

This webcam is invaluable. Hurts while here but tells me from my Rio apt whether the beach is poppin or not (rain or sun). I'll post in Rio section too, as we are sliding off the DR topic.

For reference. Copa on new year's eve 12:01amI will say this about Rio it is where you see a ton of dark skin girls with blue eyes. In the beginning that look although amazing would freak me out at first. There are some stunners but there is so many hot chicks there most of them think they are just average. They come to the states and guys as always would mess there heads up in a heartbeat. I had great time there I just like it so much better when help was around because the chicks came from all over the country to come and party there. I spoke to a taxi driver back in the day and he said the number 1 question when a person got off the plane was where was help. The freelance scene was sick on copacanbana, but not any more. Have to go to the Casa's. Back in the day you would have 10's fighting over you on the beach. It was crazy, but as life is things change and you keep it moving. I have been back and just not the same for me. Although I did change my game and hung out in the largest favela Rochina use to go to the gun party on Sunday nights that was incredible scene with hot chicks everywhere, but you had to be careful and not talk to a drug dealers girl. So, yea rio is okay, but I am glad I did it back in the day so much better.

Sosua for me is now going to be an over-night trip to show my face then move on to Puerto Plata or Santo Domingo. I have no desire to even fuck these hardcore Sosua girls.

Also if you are out after 1am and you have drunk Dominicans, look out. Its very interesting that the police didn't want "Bad news" to get out and ruin the "New Sosua". I didn't even see anything about a shooting in other threads. Most bullshit happening now in Sosua is being hidden to keep the new money flowing in. I was telling Savepros the other day that girls might start asking for pre-payment in the future. This Sosua is starting to remind me of Costa rica and the "Del Ray". No dancing just bars, hardcore girls, no TLN, and girls "Unionized" to raise the minimum price. Once police start arresting the girls for fucking for less than 2000p, then we are almost where Costa Rica is now.

Probably was a drug dealer) that got hit in the head with the barstool at El Flow, you will also see that he was shot exactly simultaneously by the ex-cop that he was stomping on the ground. He did from his wound (a gut shot).

You do have to be careful there. I usually always stay at TL or NG and walk to the strip. Anyone of us could have rounded that corner to walk past El Flow or across the street to Rumba Bar and get hit with a stray bullet.

Dam Big O! Its like that! You don't want to spread the love? LOL! I won't take them all! I promise! LOL! I'll follow the current pay scale and be a good monger! He was being facetious. Basically saying that 95% of the monger crowd in Sosua are too "comfortable" to even think about branching out anywhere else.

For some of them, if the destination does not give them the option of speaking English only, throwing money in the air (has happened in Classicos many times before, hence "make it rain" crowd), or rent out a VIP section (all in the presence of hookers), they ain't interested.

It's definitely what I like about Medellin! That, and tighter pussies compared to some of the "cavernous" chocas I've dove into in Sosua. Seriously, one chica I met (the famouse big-tittied Ingrid) was so loose I swear I could fit my entire foot inside of her.

Not a massive fan of Sosua myself, which is why I live in Puerto Plata. But some of you guys are way exaggerrating. My buddy lives in Sosua. He has at least two new girls each week, plus repeats of favorites. They are all good lookers as he is picky, and he never pays more than 500 to 1000 pesos, though he he often lets them cook a meal at his place or stay overnight. Sometimes he helps out his favorites with medicine or transport back to their village where there is a genuine need, but he is tight as a duck's ass and never shells out much. None of these chicas are remotely hardcore, and most are new or newish to the game, either new to gringos or new altogether.

I have other friends who carry on similarly. They all have more sense than to go near hardcore chicas and their hangers-on. A lot of guys are bragging on here that they are friends with this or that cop, tiguere or barman. If you make yourself known to lowlife like that I am not surprised there are occasional problems. Sleep with dogs and wake up with fleas.

If you go with nice girls and treat them with respect you will never be short of pussy as they will recommend you to their primas and friends. I have spent time with my friend in restaurants or on the beach and his phone is always ringing with offers. And he is no Brad Pitt or Denzil Washington. He isn't even a Charles Pooter!

Mine gives them 500 and let's them cook like you said. Some of them need to open restaurants they cook so good. But living somewhere has its advantages. You can 1) wait them out and 2) they get used to seeing you and don't insist you pay ripoff visitor prices. A lot of guys that live there are on a fixed income and can not afford to spoil the girls like the visitors do. Then too you get a lot of vacationers who are either scared to negotiate or too lazy to negotiate and pay whatever they tell him. In addition you have holiday millionaires that don't care what they spend, they just want to have a good time. They can refill the coffers by working extra when they get back home.

For the international mongers, here is a taste of some talent from Manila. Are these girls hispanic or another ethnicity? They don't look Filipino.

I've since hung out with him numerous times at Rubys. He's a blunt guy, but a good guy. He's gone out of his way to be helpful. Certainly, the guys who live there have a advantage, as stated, many of them do well with the chicas for a lot less pesos than us weekend warriors pay. On my Easter trip I'm going to try to pay no more than 1500 St. No TLN. We'll see how that goes.

OldKool, I hear you man. Rio can be expensive.

I'll prob make it down there sometime this year as well.Sosua has nothing on Rio. The females in DR can't take dick for nothing. You will always get one or two chcias that will be on the bullshit. Sauve papi, Lach papi and other bill shit.

It wasn't so much the price aspect I was stressing as guys asserting there are only hardcore and troublesome chicas in Sosua. Of course that is what you will meet if you go out late at night to bars on the strip. Those couple of blocks attract the scum of the whole island. But there is no law saying you cannot avoid them. There are plenty of other semi-pros to be met on the beach or going about their normal daily routine in shops and side-streets.

I have seen Rio porn and the women are beyond belief. I think we all have a sweet spot that meets our needs. I know guys who swear by the PI. Some will tell you bankok is nirvana. It is more about your taste in women combined with what you can afford. I love the afro mix of the DR but no doubt if my funds were better I would do Rio in a heart beat.Don't worry too much bro. Rio is NOWHERE nearly as good as it was 10+ years ago. During that time, Brazil was much cheaper than the DR and there was more variety (all different races of women from black to white to Mulatta, and even some Amerindian women as well). Yes, termas and casas in Rio still has top notch dimes. But the prices are 3x's more than it was years ago. Even the airfares to Rio are expensive. I can remember a time when it was cheaper to get to Rio from the east coast Rio than it was to get to DR, despite the DR being MUCH closer!

Take everything in stride bro. The DR is still one of the best deals around, and if you learn Spanish and get outside of the Sosua matrix, then your experiences there can be very rewarding as well.

To be honest, the gringo hooker scene in Rio was partly ruined by thirsty ass simps trying to wife up and marry hookers. That shit went to the hookers' heads and they eventually started to think that their shit didn't stink due to lonely tricks going down there and putting those working girls on pedestals.

Don't get me started!

Peace out.

I have had very little issues with Sosua chicas. I f you can talk to them you can fine some nice young ladies. The vast majority of the ones I bedded were semi pros or were new to the strip. I think guys who do not control the encounter will have problems. I have met some tough hard core chicas they exist but they do not hide it very well. I hang out and dance and flirt with a chica. If she is cold or distant we do not fuck. In most cases you can tell if girl is a problem before hand. Make sure you and she are clear on how much and what you want to do. This is not the time to be shy. Last thing some hardcore chicas can give you a porno experience if they are business smart. If they think they can hook up a bit they will often bring their A game, When that happens you get your moneys worth. New girls are often stand offish and not very skilled. Hooking up winners is not an exact science. I reccommend chatting the girls up so they are at ease. When the chica is at ease the sex is always better and they tend to look at the clock less if they are enjoying the encounter. You get push back when the girls are not into what is going on. I supply refreshments, lube and toys. Chica not down with that she does not roll with me.

Laughs drinks good attitude? Yes we out. No I get ghost to el baño. Only a few deals have gone bad. Money up front. Stole my bracelet. Haha. 3 out of a 1000 fantastic busts tln and morning pop. My last trip I met a brother from the midwest that was walking around with $3, 000 USD. He would get the evil eye from some girls because Willie (or whatever his name is) would make girls evacuate a table when this guy came into D'Latin so he and his entourage could have a prime seat. He would buy 2 bottles of Yack on ice and a few bears and bottles of water. He had his staff of translator, cab driver and a couple of security guys from the beach around him. He tipped the waitress and everyone a thousand pesos at the end of each night and everyone went home happy. Yes, Sosua is paradise.

This is a true story from the soon to be released blog "Makin It Rain In Sosua."

Avg chica DR $40 Rio $80 to 150.

Hotels $50 DR Rio $90 & more.

Food DR Ok Rio great.

My cost 1250 Rio cost $3000 ball park.

For 3 k I can stay home and bang 10s.

All day long.

Being affordable satisfactory works for me. When I am banging a 19 year old hotty in Sosua I am in my own world and very happy.

Since I enjoy eating bologna sandwiches everyday there are 1000 reasons why I shouldn't spring for a porterhouse steak just once to try it out, no matter how good they supposedly are.

Reminds me of my mom in Thailand last year. There was no way she was going near Thai food. No matter how good or how similar anything looked to American food. Grilled fish, nope. Fried fish, nope. Fried chicken, nope. Vegetables, nope. Even just plain fruit like watermelon, cantaloupe, or pineapple, nope. She ate potato chips and water everyday from 7-Eleven making an excuse that she was trying to lose weight. Then she found out there was a Sizzler in the old mall and she was eating there everyday. Then when I tried to take her to the Sizzler in the NEW mall, nope. She said she knows how the Sizzler is in the old mall. Really mom? That comfort zone is a MF.

The guys who go to oxygen feel they are being fucked silly. I say great but I am not paying two grand for 3 days. Rio is close being price stupid in my opinion. It is very close to three times the DR price and at my age a nut is a nut. Sex is 10% physical and 90% mental. I am sure Rio babes fuck like machines but I am not paying a $100 or more per session or 1300 for a plan ticket. The fact that it is a very good deal is why I go. If you are going for girls go to Sosua. The bus takes 4 hours from sd and is a decent ride cost less then 10 dollars. The ride gives me a chance to nap I would not waste my time there. See alot more mongers in Sosua because it is the place to be in the DR. Girls come from all over the island to strut there stuff. Flight to SD is 200 less then puerto plato. For me it is a no brainer. Good luck. There are things and places to do and go but Boca Chica is the little league. I think many more options in Sosua.

Appreciate any info in advance. Best wishes everyone!I agree with the guy below. Forget about SDQ / Boca Chica. Sosua is king for women in the DR! Take the 4-5 hour bus ride to and from Sosua.

Otherwise, check the BC thread for hotels. The hotels haven't really changed. I don't scuba dive but I'm pretty sure you can find it in the area. That should be pretty easy to google. Juan Dolio is also close by and may have some options. If you go to BC, there are a few clubs and casas, but you need to know where you are going. I don't know how you roll (language skills, car, online hookups, etc.) but you can have a good time downsouth if you have a good plan.

Appreciate any info in advance. Best wishes everyone!First of all they lose the lights at times and there are maybe 30-90 women compared to over 300 women 9 years ago. It is nothing like Sosua now. I would prefer to stay in Santo Domingo then stay in Boca Chica. Lets just say the beach might be fun at night but there is just really one bar to go to that the women hang out at and they reip the Gringos off with drinks.

Hi Everyone. I'm a frequent visitor to Sosua and have posted many reports and pics in the past, but now find myself in a situation where it is easier to travel to Boca Chica than Sosua. Thanks for the heads up. I am planning my first trip to DR. I will fly into SD. I was planning to stay one night in SD then go to Sosua. Can you recommend your fav spots in SD and Sousa.

Thank for your help in advance!

It seems like a good idea on one hand. Especially considering there may be long lines of people at the airport (POP) all trying to purchase one. I read the terms of agreement. I wanted to purchase 3 cards, one for me and 2 others. But I'm not clear about being able to put them in different names. Does each card that I purchase have to be in my name only? The site doesn't seem to have info about that. One good thing, the cards are good for a year it says.

Apparently they scan tourist cards before they allow you to go to a customs agent. So my other concern is the posibility of the card being soiled, un-readable or damaged in some way. Does anyone here have any experience with using a pre-paid tourist card? Are they really convenient or is it more of a risk? I don't know if it is ok to post a direct link. Here's the site. Just change the 2 x's. Wxx. Dgii. Gov. Do / Tturistaweb/

Apparently they scan tourist cards before they allow you to go to a customs agent.I haven't needed to buy a tourist card for three years, so I would be interested in guys' comments as the system may have changed. But when I bought them they had no names or numbers. They were all identical. You bought one at a kiosk, walked ten yards across the room and gave it to someone minding the door into the customs area. No scanning entailed because nothing to scan. Has this now changed?

I do know they are valid for 30 days. If you exceed that period you are liable for a charge of 800 pesos when you leave. This rises on a sliding scale if your overstay exceeds three months.

Don't trust anything you read on Dominican Govt websites. When they change things they often leave years-old info online. And even when the rules are crystal clear the guys on the ground may make up their own versions. Usually to try and screw more money out of you, although they sometimes undercharge through lack of training.

Just change the 2 x's. Wxx. Dgii. Gov. Do / Tturistaweb/I bought one for myself this last November. First time. I cannot tell you about other names also because I paid with my credit card and I presume the site needs name to match name with card to avoid fraud. So if you have separate credit cards matching additional names, I cannot imagine there would be a problem. Using same credit card for different names. I have no clue. (BTW, the card you buy at airport has no name requirement but they check your passport to make sure you actually need to buy the card. Some countries like Japan etc are exempted.)

Once the card is approved, you get a pdf file that you print and I do not recall if it had a scannable bar code but I bought it the day before my flight and handed over the print out to the guys standing before the immigration kiosk. No issues and no big deal.

Risk? What risk? $10 each and it saved me the bother of having to queue up to buy the thing locally.

I have only 6 trips flying into POP. But I have only experienced long lines twice that I can remember. Not really a long wait. However, if the posters info below is accurate (about a large flight with lines way down the corridor) , in that case having a pre-paid card would be a welcome asset.

Although the generalization to black americans as a whole makes me a bit uneasy. I choose to believe behaviors described in this video have more to do with socio-economic factors than the color of one's skin.

Also, that no American interviewee said the word "love" a single time is disheartening.

http://youtu.be/-OTtGcYbiQ8That video was horrible. The guy actually contacted me through facebook asking me to be in it but I declined. For the first few minutes I kind of regretted it, but as it got deeper in and I saw the real plot I was glad I didn't participate in that charade. The big girl was the realest one in the film. She was on point. Everyone else besides maybe the preacher was totally full of shit. At random:

1. Ten times the guy mentioned he came to Rio to see the Jesus statue, but has no idea the name of it is Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer). He had already been there two days. What was he waiting on?

2. They did interviews at Meia Pataca. And what is Meia Pataca? Well it's like Merengue bar in restaurant form.

3. They interviewed John Thompson. Really? Wait. I just realized they didn't put his real name. Ooops.

4. Guys mentioned how they are so into the culture but from how it appeared none of them knew a word of Portuguese and didn't seem to know anything outside of Copacabana A. K. A. Hoar Central.

5. They interviewed two women who didn't speak English. All they mentioned was how Black guys like to party and dance well and the girls themselves like hip-hop music. They must have a really sweet job seeing that they have all this money and time to do all this partying and to get to know the American guys well. Hint: Same job as the girls in Classico.

6. If a person frequently visits a country yet has only friends of the opposite sex, then what he is really there for is the women and not the culture.

I could go on. Let's call a spade a spade. Every person they interviewed in Brazil for that film had something to do with P4P. I know because at times I had plenty to do with P4P during my days in Brazil (I even remember the guy with the freckles). I do not think the Brazilian girl who spoke English was in Brazil judging from the furniture in the room where she was interviewed, not to mention when she spoke of Brazil she said "there" and not "here." I don't know why this guy saw fit to waste his time and money making this crap. There must have been someone he desperately needed to fool, but if they fell for this mess then bless their little heart.

Thefacts are the DR and Rio women are attracted to financial security. The more money you have the more attractive you are. To the we are very wealthy. They will do all they can to gain our interest and money. Also latin men treat their women rather poor by our standards. So when a an with money approaches them AND IS kind. BINGO both parties are very happy.

When you get into a REAL relationship with a woman from either country who you are not handing out money to and constantly spending money on then you will see that is not the case. Maybe Dominican men treat their women like shit (I personally have no first hand knowledge of this), but I know Brazil, Colombia, and Peru well enough to know that those guys hold their women in high esteem. As far as us appearing wealthy to them; well maybe if you are messing with uneducated women who are dirt poor. But one of my ex Brazilian girlfriends owns a hair salon and her dad has money coming out of his ears. My ex Dominican girlfriend's dad owns an insurance company and he has been footing her bills since I have known her back in Santo Domingo. She just moved to New Jersey with her mom from Madrid where her AND her sister have been living the last few years while working on their Masters. I don't think I in no way, shape, or form appear very wealthy to any of those people.

A bit off point but I was talking to one of my lady friends in Thailand the other day and told her I was a little sick. She asked what would make me feel better. I said money. She offered to go get a loan from the bank and she was dead serious. I had to tell her that I was just joking about the money.

My analysis is for all women. They want a man who can provide in most cases. I have never gone out with any upper class women in my travels and I doubt I will. I am not trying to charm a babe or be in long term relationships. I will take a sweet poor girl all day long. In the DR a large number of the girls I have dealt with had children by guys who abandoned the them. Many have disappointent and anger. Money and power is still the worlds number 1 aphrodisiac in every country. Possibly 20 years ago when I was in my youth hot rich girls would want e for my great looks. Now I enjoy paying to fuck 20 something females with no angst.

I actually liked the film though. At the end of the day we all knew those guys were mongers so there was def a certain amount of BS being sold there. However, I think there were some great points made from the preacher, a couple of the women, and I think the guys made good points as well. The position of the men is slightly comprimised though because there's obviously a lot of the story that they're leaving out. But I feel what they're saying. I'm a monger and I love Brazil obviously because it's still #1 on the mongering scale for me. However, I love the country itself as well. There are tons of things that I love to do in Brazil that have nothing to do with P4P. I think that's what a lot of those guys were prob trying to say. And I'm glad they made it that way. Let's face it, do we really want a bunch of brothers on camera telling the world or whoever will watch about mongering in Rio? I know I don't. Those who know, know. All others don't need to know. It will just make my life harder.

Several options none of which will get you to O'Kap (Cap Haitienne) in three hours!

Option (1). Take Caribe tours bus to Santiago. Connect to the once daily Caribe tours bus that runs from Santiago to O'Kap. If I remember correctly, the bus leaves Santiago around 11 am.

Option (2). Take a publico or guagua to La Javilla in Puerto Plata. Get on the Express guagua to Santiago and ask that they let you off at the round-about in Navarete. Get off the bus, and wait for the next guagua to Dajabon. Travel time Sosua- Dajabon approx. 5 h. Cross the border which is open from 7 or 8 am (?) to 4 pm. Lastly catch a taptap in Ouanaminthe (the counterpart to Dajabon on the Haitian side) to O'Kap. Travel time from Ouanaminthe to O'Kap is 2-3 h.

Option (2) requires that you can effectively communicate in Dominican Spanish and know your way around and how public transport works. I had a Haitian friend accompany me; don't expect that English or Spanish will suffice it Haiti.

Yeah. That was almost as weak as this cat who was trying to act like a saint when it was obvious her was here laying on these broads.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2hr1BGfwysIMO there was no need to interview BM in Brazil in order to get an honest perspective of what a lot of men in general deal with here in the states. The BM being in Brazil is a distraction to the real issues that need to be addressed concerning mens issues.

One of the pointed issues I have within the video is the same ol' tired rhetoric that BW are outnumbering BM in college, and out earning them. To that I say big freaking deal. I thought a woman was supposed to bring her knowledge and resources to the table to share with a man, not to use as a measure to determine her worth in comparison to a man? The real deal is when it comes to women as a whole. The majority of women are not college educated or degreed, nor are most women involved in a career where their college education is essential to their position in life.

The majority of women work average jobs. Or no job at all. And you can always find a man who outearns a woman with a college education or a degree. And these men are educated but not necessarily formally.

As far as relationships go, this society programs ignorant folks into believing that one should judge a persons value by them having gone to college or how much money they make. And because so many women think like that, that is one chief reason why many men turn to women from other countries, cultures and nationalities. Women aren't usually judged by men on that standard. Since when do most men discriminate against women if they don't have a degree or aren't making the same amount of money? Most men share what they have with women, not castigate or dismiss them for having less.

The fact that many men monger is simply a manifestation of many men fulfilling a fantasy and very often a void. Lack of appreciation will do that to a man. Being taken for granted will do that to a man. Having to struggle everyday to prove ones worth will do that to a man. Having to be denied but revoked of that right himself will do that to a man. Having to play by unfair rules and meet ridiculous standards your whole life will do that to a man. Those men may very well be in Brazil primarily for mongering. But if the aforementioned issues are applicable to those men, then more power to them'. Of course for enough men, they are simply being greedy and selfish. Last time I checked, women in the states don't have no problem being greedy and / or selfish. So why should those men? Not speaking to you personally, just venting. LOL.

I'll be in the D. R. For the Super Bowl and wanted to know if it comes on cable t. V. Or pay per view or what? I've watched games down there but always at the bars. Just in case I'm stuck in my villa I wanted to know if I can still see the game.Don't know if it will be on cable at the crib, but I would suggest watching it at the brand new sports bar across from El Flow, air conditioning included. If they don't have it there, then they need to close down asap.

I had a Haitian friend accompany me; don't expect that English or Spanish will suffice it Haiti.Thank you brother you make my day with that info because I didn't know if I can take a bus straight to au cap. Do you know how long it really going to take me from Santiago to au cap?

I viewded the Rio video a few days ago and didn't get a good feeling sbout it. It felt fake. But it also had a few. Good moments, like seeing the girls at the end. I don't really buy into all that hype anyway. If I want to find out I will go myself and experience it. My buddy told me yesterday that his wife is going on a " Girls vacation" to Jamaica with her girls. She said he has to paint the house while she is gone. What do you think she and her girls are going to Jamaica for? Dick. But he has no clue. And this is the same dude who says I travel for cheap pussy. Go to Cabarete and see all the euro girls with their weekend Dominican boyfriend. The shit happens both ways.

I just don't have time to spend with a chic arguing over bullshit. Give me some pussy and I will call you when I want some more.

Sorry, don't.

I know that our Mr. Pooter, when he was younger, did the Santiago to O'Kap on Caribe at least once.
He would know first-hand.

P.S.: For all it is worth, and from the top of my head. I think the bus is scheduled to get into O'Kap around 6 pm. Definitely before nightfall because that is a security consideration.

Thank you brother you make my day with that info because I didn't know if I can take a bus straight to au cap. Do you know how long it really going to take me from Santiago to au cap?

Hey everybody,

First time posting and looking forward to contributing to the boards. I am booked to puerto plata feb 15 for 5 days. From reading I think I want to stay somewhere near the action in Sosua. I like finding girls on the beach as well as clubs. Any hotels that are chica friendly and reasonably priced? Also, I am going to meet family at an al inclusive in punta cana after my 5 days in Sosua, any ideas on the best way to get to that side of the island without breaking the bank?

Thanks all

ThanksNot experienced enough to say how to get to Haiti but your post reminded me of a story which ends in a method you would probably not want to use to get to Haiti.

Was in Sosua a while ago. Mainly sticking with the same day girl while free ranging at night. I do enjoy the hobby as well as seeing new countries so I decided to combine the two one day in the middle of my trip. I asked my day girl to go to Haiti with me."No way" she said. Being a lighter skinned Dominican she was afraid some Haitian would come up to her on the street and blow voodoo dust in her face. Her words. I independently asked her friend and she said the same thing. Their words. I finally wore her down after a couple of days so I set about finding a way to get us there. I passed a tour shop that was advertising day trips to Haiti so I stopped in to check it out. The planned "hand-fed" activites were as expensive as they were corny so I opted to find another way to get us there. The girl that worked the shop was pretty so it wasn't all bad. Anyway, while in the shop I saw a young European couple (guy and a girl) looking to book that same day tour of Haiti. As I was leaving it looked as if they were going to book the trip. I never did make the Haiti trip. My day girl decided our time would be better spent using up my condom supply but I did walk by that same tour shop a few days later and decided to chat up the pretty girl that worked in the shop. That young Eurpoean couple that seemed like they were going to book the day trip decided not to book. Turns out they had met some Haitian hustler on the street who convinced the couple that they should go to Haiti with him and not with the tour agency. They went with him the next day. Maybe the wrong call on my part but sounds like one of the most ill-advised decisions (non-monger related) anyone could venture to make while in Sosua. My spider-sense is tingling at the mere thought.

This part of the report will focus on my weekend in Sosua. My initial mission was scouting for hotel rooms. I stayed at New Garden on my last trip, and I wanted to do something different. I read that Wilfred was now running Casa Cayena so that was definitely on my list of places to check out. I also read that asking for a cash price for a set number of days might cut me a break in price. I knew Casa Cayena was at the lower end of the upper price tier, so I decided to check out some other places first. Casa Valeria didn't have a room for all three nights. I had trouble arranging a suitable meeting time with Rick at Rocky's. Orchidee didn't have the room for all the nights. So I headed to Casa Cayena where they showed me the room they had. I tried a few other places after that, but no luck in balancing price and the ability to stay in the same room. I paid full price for the room at Casa Cayena, and I'm glad I did. You can barely hear the music from Pedro Clisante if you decide to turn in early, the rooms are nice, and the free breakfast was excellent.

I had the fortune of meeting some experienced travelers who offered me some guidance this trip, and as a result Sosua was a blast. From Casa Cayena I see no reason to even take a moto unless you're coming back from Passions late at night. After I got settled at the hotel, I met up with some friends at the beach, had an excellent meal at Herman's Siempre del Sol of grilled grouper and fries, and headed to start the night at Rumba.

At Rumba, the fun began. When we walked in, we were given a table marked "Reserved" for no apparent reason. I talked to a few girls. One of my friends found one he liked, but I was still on the hunt. All of a sudden, along comes the most beautiful set of breasts I have ever seen attached to a cute face to boot. We begin talking, and things seem to be going well. Out of nowhere, someone from across the bar starts screaming and the girl I am sitting with becomes obviously agitated. My friend looks at me and says,"Man, I think she's bad news." I excuse myself from the table. Next thing I know, security is escorting the girl out of Rumba. I talk to the guy who was screaming. He proceeds to tell me that she was his girlfriend for a couple of months, but one day left and cleaned out his apartment of all his stuff. When he confronted her about it she tried to stab him. I turn around about that time, and what do I see but the gorgeous girl in the green dress beating on the security guard at the door. Thank goodness for the kindness of fellow mongers.

There was one girl I was really interested in, but I couldn't seem to catch her eye. She was a 9 in my book. Perfectly proportioned in every way and just the perfect height. She had to know I was checking her out. Under the advice of one of my compatriots, I grabbed the next girl I found hot (about an 8 in her case) and bought her a drink. I was hoping to make the other girl jealous (remarkably similar to how I met my ex wife but thats another story). After talking with the 8, who went by Julia, for a while I began trying eye contact with the beauty at the bar I had been eyeing all night. I got my eye contact, she looked jealous, and then I didn't see her again for the rest of the night. Though I can't call that a total loss. Julia turned out to be a real firecracker. A hell of a dancer and a hell of a performer en la cama. BBBJCIM, CFS, photos, and the whole 9 yards. A shame that I saw her again my last night and was otherwise occupied. Overall damage for her 2k+drinks for ST. This was about 3 hours or so non-rushed. Slightly high but completely worth it.

A little rest and a cup of coffee later I was back out at Rumba. One of my buddies was still there, so we decided to hit Passions. Sosua school lesson 2 begins now. I was a little bored with Passions at first. It was exactly as I remembered it. Slightly pricy drinks, barely legal girls with overly skinny bodies, and it felt like a watered down strip club with added benefits. Then a girl came along that changed that perception. She had a 10 body and a 7 face. That 10 body was calling me though in a beautifully filthy way. I was sucked in immediately. The only problem I was facing was that I only had enough pesos on me for the 1:00am salida, and it was only 12:30. I told my buddy that I needed to hit an ATM if I was going to take her out now, and he negotiated with her that I would give her 500RD now if she would go get dressed and wait until I got back from the ATM with the rest of her salida to go with me for the night. Well, long story short, I got back from the ATM and she was there, dressed with her bag and ready to go. However she told me she had to go home for the night and wouldn't be joining me. I stomped out of Passions pissed off telling my friends I was going to try to straighten it out with Peter then next day. However when I thought about it, I decided it wasn't worth the trouble. Being new to Sosua, the last thing I want to do is make enemies with a guy like Peter. Besides, it isn't his fault if his girls aren't doing what they should be. YMMV I always say. I chalked it up to a small loss and headed back to D'Latin. Just so you guys know though, she is #22 and #25 in the halloween 2012 photos in a leapord print costume. I guess it is partially my own fault. I can see the other side of the coin where some guys might do that and not come back, but then again I was gone less than 30 mins.

The adventure continues at D'Latin. I got there, got a snack, and began working the room dancing and such. Time for Sosua school lesson number 3. I was dancing for a second with this hot Hatiana. I began looking around for a minute, and she asked me to buy her a drink. I hadn't made my.

Decision yet, but I figured why the hell not? So I buy her a drink, she gets it, goes to the bathroom, and I move on. So I go and start dancing with another girl across the bar. I buy her a drink. We dance for a few more minutes, and I notice a friend from BBs and I go over to say hi. Another girl walks up and starts grinding on me. First I spot the second girl I bought a drink. She keeps a safe distance and all is well. Next, Girl #1 comes walking up, the hot Hatiana, yelling at me about how she is working and I am wasting her time. At this point I hand her 100 pesos and tell her politely to [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) off. While all that is going on, the girl I was dancing with takes off at the first sign of drama (can't say I blame her). So here I am standing at D'Latin right before they close. I'm tired, I've had a healthy dose of drama, I have no piece of arm candy, and the music is off. I briefly panic. I wasn't keen on hitting the next bar (at the time I was not aware that it was just Classicos). So I start scanning the room hard for girls that seem attractive and aren't taken yet. I run into the Hatiana again who is giving me the eye, as well as the other girl I bought a drink eariler. She also seems down, but I wasn't comfortable with that for some reason. As I am about to walk out the door and go home alone, I spot a girl who strikes a nerve for some reason. She turned out to be 35ish and her face showed it, but I like that sometimes. I am about 30, and I could probably get a girl like her at home, but it didn't matter I negotiated a quick 1500 ST, and we were off to the hotel. It turned out to be a lot of fun in spite of the CBJ (haven't seen that much in the DR until this trip). No photos, no frills, no bells, no whistles, just quick and simple fun. I gave her a cheap sex toy to take home and we parted ways with a smile. It was a welcome relief from that drama filled night. I slept like a baby, and dreamed in Spanish, a satisfying personal achievement on it's own. She was the only girl who's number I didn't get. I mildly regret that. Se la Vi.

The next morning I awoke in a haze. Too much strong drink and strange women. My soul was juiced, my mind covered in a fruity Caribbean film of second hand smoke and evaporated rum. I stumbled down the stairs of Casa Cayena into the dining area / bar. There was a large German family at one table, and a New Yorker and his chica at the other. I remember thinking that she spoke remarkable Spanglish. I had to have grease to wash away the vile stench of the previous day, yet I was still satisfied in a way I cannot quantify. I ordered an omelet and some ham with coffee and water. The food hit the spot in spite of the fact that it was overly salty. Somehow the dryness seemed appropriate. I buried my face in some Bukowski for a few hours, then showered and went in search of a massage.

I didn't want to hit a suck shack, mainly because I wanted the soreness of the preceding insanity to melt away without the involvement of prophylactics and fermented sugar cane. I first tried for a massage at M&M. They told me to come back in an hour. So I went to the Caberna restaurant at the corner or Dr Rosen and. Something, for a snack. I ordered two slices of the BBQ bacon pizza. What I got had no meat on it, but corn and a variety of other vegetables. I was happy with that actually, so I didn't complain. I had a Bohemia, my pizza, and killed some time. When I returned to M&M there was a guy in the waiting room and they asked me to come back in another hour. I politely declined and went outside to call Kika's. The girl who answered the phone asked me to come right away. I have to recommend Kika's for a straight up massage in between sessions. No happy ending, but I didn't ask for or want one. However what they did have was relaxing music, professional conduct, and masseuses that were obviously professionally trained. I left feeling beyond ready to face the day. I left ready to grab the day and throttle it for all it was worth. For those of you who don't know, Kika's is located on Pedro Clisante further pit from the clubs but long before passions. Right now there is a cell phone shop right before the entrance to the plaza. There is a more obvious barber shop there, but Kika's is up the stairs to your right as you walk in.

Walking back from Kika's I met up with a friend from BBs who was staying at New Garden, completely by accident. We decided to meet up later at Rumba's. After I had sufficiently cleansed the funk from the previous day from the very fibers of my being, I thought to myself, 'I haven't payed New Garden a visit yet. I really liked that place. ' So off to New Garden before hitting the club circuit. I sat down at the bar, and after a beer or so I started talking to a girl named Nicole (Nee-Cow-Lay). She had a great attitude and promised me the world right off the bat. Her body was nothing to which I could turn my nose up, and her face was gorgeous complete with braces. She was 24 years old and had the right attitude. I couldn't say no. She became my date for that night. This ended up being my latest and most fun night of the entire trip. I had promised to be a wingman for my friend who was on his first night in Sosua.

I arrive at Rumba with Nicole to find two other friends already there at a table in the back. I sit down with them and do some people watching. Neither of them are dying to pull a girl just yet and we are watching football. After a while my friend who I am playing wingman for shows up along with one of Nicole's friends. They show up separately but Nicole's friend seems to be riding the fence on whether or not she likes my friend. We do a few rounds of tequila shots, and my other two friends head to Passions. My wingman, Nicole, and myself finish watching the game, settle up and proceed to Passions to join them.

This is where I stopped worrying about the safety of my wingman. He seemed right at home there on his first visit. I sat and drank with the group for a while. I watched one Passions girl get absolutely crazy at the back part in the jungle of stripper poles. I like that section of Passions A LOT better than the two main bars. The chairs are more comfortable, and 10 stripper poles are better than 2. My wingman ended up paying her salida. I saw them together at 3pm the next afternoon. They hit it off well. Just goes to show YMMV at passions. I had a bad experience and he had the time of his life. I would still go back in spite of my negative experience with the aforementioned girl.

The night was still young. My wing man was out of commission for the night, but I still had two more guys covering my arse. Back to D'Latin for dancing until closing time. Then when everyone went to Classicos, we hung out downstairs at Meringue. It actually turned out to be a great people watching spot, a hobby of mine at home as well. We had more shots at Merengue. At this point it was an endurance competition. We managed to get Nicole's friend to buzz off at this point because she obviously wasn't going with any of us. After Classicos closed, we followed the crowd to the club next to the casino.

A warning to future visitors of after hours setups in Sosua: I saw more than a couple of trannys at this after hours establishment. Semi- convincing ones. Be careful if that isn't what you want. They know you are probably sloshed at this point. In addition, they do not allow smoking in the casino club. I could have gotten away with my e-cigarette, but I don't know if that would be true in the future. The crowd at this place was much more Dominican than not. It was actually more fun though watching Dominicans dance with each other than the scenery at any of the other clubs. They naturally do better than we do in most cases. At this point Nicole had promised to cook for me, and wanted to spend the rest of my time in DR hanging out with me in the mountains. She tried to set it up for the next day, but I left myself some loopholes since it was my last day.

The session with Nicole that night was more passionate than any I had encountered before or since. That includes free sex with US women, any session in DR or Amsterdam, and anything payed for 10 times over with my ex wife. That girl was a tropical wolverine. La Diabla Dominica for real. I am still dreaming about it almost a week later. It was past daylight when we finished, covered in sweat, scratched up a little, and both completely drained. Needless to say I got her number. She hangs out at NG anyway. Pay her the proper attention and she WILL deliver.

Nicole left about 9, Overall damage $2000rd but called me back at about 11am. She had breakfast ready for me and wanted to head out to the countryside. If I had more time I would have gone, but I had to pack. I got everything together and headed back to FOD for most of the day. That story is in the Puerto Plata section. It was a pleasant diversion. I got to thank the owners for the awesome stay and have a few drinks with people who hadn't made it to Sosua yet.

Back to Sosua. I went back to Sosua and met up on PC with the wingman from the previous day. He already had a chica which he oddly dismissed after a short meal. We hit D'Latin on the hunt. About 30 minutes in we both found girl. His was around 25 and a real well built tall, semi-thick stunner. Mine was the first total spinner of the trip. I had to ask for her cedula. Luckily, she was 20. I wasn't going to play when I had to fly out the next day. When in doubt caballeros, it is better to ask than to be sorry. I didn't believe her age at first, especially when she said her sister had her I'd. But her sister showed up with an obviously valid I'd. Security at the hotel didn't even ask after looking at it either, which eased my mind. This turned out to be a lot of fun as well. Picking her up and turning her into any position wasn't even a chore. I tried to get her number for next trip, but when she started talking about calling a motoconcho and asking for company I told her nevermind. Overall damage $1500ST+100tip for the hell of it.

At this point I napped for 3 hours then headed to Caribe Tours Station, not aware that the first bus didn't run until 5:20am. I would have taken a Metro had I known. Either way I ended up sitting on a corner alone in Los Charamicos until 5:00am. Freaked me out a little. I almost got on an early Gua Gua, but decided against it. I spent the whole trip home in a sleep deprived haze nodding off while standing up. I am still not quite right several days later, but I wouldn't trade the experience for a vital organ all in all. Thanks to all the ISG vets for all the info, and thanks to all those who backed me up on the trip especially.

1337 OUT!

How many pops do you typically get for a street tln, st? Does passions have an unlimited pop count for st or tln?

Some of the stuff they say is part of the entertainment that comes along with the price of admission that we pay to enter their world. Speaking of though, I had the following text message exchange with the same "voodoo dust in my face" girl not too long ago. I'm in Chicago and she's in Santo Domingo she claims. Let's just call her Maria:

Maria: Hola baby. What you doing now.

Drai: Not much to speak of. Where are you?

Maria: Santo Domingo. Too much water baby.

Drai:?

Maria: Too much rain. Too much water my home. We have nothing now. No furniture. Just one bed. Everybody my home sit on one bed. Can you help me baby.

Drai:?

Maria: Can you give me money baby.

Drai: Yes of course. I will give you some money. No problem.

Maria: When baby.

Drai: Next time I come down to Sosua you can stay with me all night and have sex with me. Then I will give you some pesos the next morning after more sex when we wake up.

Maria: Why you no love me Matthew.

Drai: Who the f*K is Matthew.

Maria: Who is this.

Drai: This is Drai.

Maria: Drai baby, can you send me some money.

See the point? I sure don't.

I had a Haitian friend accompany me; don't expect that English or Spanish will suffice it Haiti.Good information. You would need to be a hardy type to take the second option. Not dangerous or anything, but bloody uncomfortable. Strictly for Haitians who need to save every last peso.

Only way you will get from Sosua to Okap in 3 hours is by chartering your own helicopter.

I paid full price for the room at Casa Cayena, and I'm glad I did.Very nice report!

Glad to hear that Wilfried is finally gainfully employed again. The last couple of years he was just wondering the earth. Hopefully you asked Wilfried for the ISG / ISOG cash rate, which is the group rate.

Voodoo dust, really. Can't say I'm suprised I've heard some of the dumbest shit ever from some of these chics and hustlers in Sosua. I've heard a chica tell my friend he could not be Haitian because he was light skin, even after speaking creole to her she still would not believe he was haitian. So I would take anything that these chics say with caution, most I've met are as dumb as a rock.Dummy-in-a-can

stayed at New Garden on my last trip, and I wanted to do something different. I read that Wilfred was now running Casa Cayena so that was definitely on my list of places to check out.I actually toured this hotel not long ago and was thinking about staying there on my next visit to Sosua. The hotel looked like it had potential and I heard good things about it before Wilfred took over. Not sure why he is there. Perhaps the hotel wasn't doing that good.

Unfortunately for me, I will probably have to skip this hotel for the same reasons I don't like to stay at New Garden. With so many options in Sosua, I prefer spots that are more discrete and don't offer the monger site discounts and blast on the internet.

I don't mind paying more to get away from that element so it might be back to apartments and villas for me as even places like Mary Rose have gone that way.

Casa Cayena was a nice quaint hotel, was being the operative word.
I also have no interest in hearing a play by play of BBBJ's over my French Toast at 10AM, or being hissed at by subpar street rats poolside. At the same time, I can't help but to wonder if we sometimes compromise certain things by putting them on blast. I got the email from Wilfried, but I cringed when I saw the internet cut and past. Wilfred has always taken care of me. His extremely ". DRY" sense if humor took me a while to get used to, but once you did, he is one AMAZING guy. Just now reading up a bit on the Sosua vs. Rio squirmish that came and went. The fried bologna vs. Steak analogy was hilarious. Used to go down to Rio and Curitiba not too long ago. The first 2 girls that I had the pleasure to pay for did 2 things (separately and uniquely) that to this day I have yet to see or have done to me in any other countries since. First one had me so messed up that after the deed that I thought I started hearing Edith Piaf singing "Je Ne Regrette Rien" and that Arthur and Ariadne were about to administer the kick! Had to spin my totem on he nightstand to see if what she just did to me was real or not. It kept spinning and spinning and spinning.

For Sosua though. Steak may already come made to order but if you put a slice a cheese on that fried bologna, toast the bread a bit, put some bacon on it with a dash of hotsauce then it can be a decent experience. Sosua doesn't come made to order 'blue rare' but it can work out the kinks with some considerable effort to spice it up.

That said though. Brazil does create an itch that Brazil, and Brazil ONLY, can scratch.

And yes I know I need professional Help. Too bad they close it down though.

Hi Everyone. I'm a frequent visitor to Sosua and have posted many reports and pics in the past, but now find myself in a situation where it is easier to travel to Boca Chica than Sosua. The Boca thread is pretty quiet, so I was hoping some of you regulars who may have been to Boca could send a little info my way as regards to best hotels (decent but still chica friendly) and recommendation for Boca Chica. Anyone done any scuba diving there?

Appreciate any info in advance. Best wishes everyone!Posted by Revere in the Santo Domingo forum:

Santo Domingo – A Canadian man was nearly killed in the resort town of Boca Chica this week after a Haitian prostitute repeatedly stabbed him in the chest, Diario Libre reported.

According to the article, Jacques Thibodeau received about 20 stab wounds late Thursday night during an altercation with a prostitute. One of his lungs was punctured during the fight, causing doctors to fear for Thibodeau's life.

The woman attacked Thibodeau after he confronted her after allegedly stealing his wallet and his laptop while leaving his apartment. The Police are searching for her and her alleged accomplice.

Since none of you douche bags (LOL J / K) responded to my initial post asking about some in's & out's in sousa I almost passed on writing this but that would go against the very reason this site and others are so important! First can we please move on from the Rio vs. D. R. Discussion, in the game we play its those of us who travel for pussy and those who travel for cheap pussy pick a side and accept who you are! LOL I digress spent 4 nights in sousa (sea horse villa) and partied every night like a rockstar including diving head 1st in the pool while my iphone was in my front pocket yet another unexpected expense but who cares! 1st night we hooked up with a local "P" who went by rico who sent us 5 chicas all ranging from 6-8 (1 would have gotten a 9 but teeth were not up to par) only 1 report of 1 trying for the quick / uninterested screw the rest all performed great! Night 2 we hit the strip and pretty much nothing outside of rumba bar had any real action, passions was very disappointing, snagged about 6 girls loaded up and back to the villa, with nights 3 and 4 about the same. The only real difference it seemed was that the call girls were a bit more professional in that they were there to cater to every need from massaging to light maid duty these girls were worth every penny of the expense over the ones from the street! All & All nothing bad to say about sousa I think its a bit tacky to get into prices and haggling (my advice is stay home and look for a BP $50 special) before you travel anywhere to cut deals for pu$$why! But hey different strokes for different folks I enjoy the carefree fun of it all, pay what you think is fair and bust her up for every dime! Safe travels to all those in route there and around the world!

Try discovering what Venezuela charges for the privilege of flying into their airports.Yeah. I used to have a girl in Caracas in the barrio who was a hairdresser. It does not cost anything to enter Venezuela, but it is $63 to leave the country. The Dominican Republic charges $82 + you have to pay $10 for a tourist card when you enter the country. And since they are going up $20, your grand total will be $112 in DR taxes.

I have been at this for a while and I really don't think I need a million prostitutes around all the time. I'm pretty sure caberet will suite me and I was thinking about getting my hotel there. Anyone living there with an opinion?Hello,

If you want to go to Cabarete, then go to Cabarete. If you have not been before, then just grab a place for the evening. There are a bunch of places. You can easily get to Sosua and even back to PP if you wish. The Cabarete beach is amazing, but the one in Sosua is really nice as well.

You really do need to give Sosua a visit if you have never been before. It is a sight to behold. If you do not like it, then it is easy to bounce.

I understand that you were asking for advice about a hotel, but you did post in the Sosua forum. That is why I wrote this post.

Best of luck to you.

Its a short drive or motoconcho (if you're up for an adventure) to Sosua and the beaches imo are nicer in Cabarete. It's also windier so that helps on a hot day. But if you're mainly going for mongering, nothing beats sosua due to convenience. I know I'd be fine at the expat bars round town, and most of the hotels would be ok too. But chica negotiation will be a hoot. Thoughts? You won't have a problem, especially in Pasions. That being said, you can use aids like google translate on your phone or come with language translator, and an exchange rate converter or program on your phone.

You can also avoid some of this by doing some prep before your trip like reading the reports on here, researching the money denominations and exchange rate, learning some basic phrases, etc. Hooking up with an experienced wing can also be helpful.

Taxi, banco, policia, pharmacia, antibiotico, sexo, vino, si, no, gracias, por favor, mami, papi. Can you guess what some of these words mean?

Even if not, you are coming to a tourist area where there are non Spanish speakers from all over the world managing to get by including expatriates who actually live in the DR and hardly speak a word of Spanish.

I wouldn't commit to "one" gringo wingman who you have just met. If he is incompetent or dishonest it could damage your trip. But I would hang with a variety of ex-pats and regular visitors who will show you around and give you some useful pointers. And meet them during the day before the main action starts. Difficult to assess each other at night when everyone has had a few beers, the deafening music is blaring and there are lots of distractions. Good places to meet up are Rocky's Bar for late breakfast and the adjacent bars of Siempre Sol and Ruby's on the beach.

Passions is the last place you need an interpreter. There are fixed prices on a printed menu and plenty of English speakers on the staff. Other places a friend will come in handy however. Do not put yourself into the hands of locals. The best that would happen is that you will pay double for everything. The worse is that you could get mugged or scammed. Remember that the scum of the island finds its way to Sosua looking for naive newbies to rip off. There are always ex-pat and gringo mongers there who will help you out for free, though they might not refuse a beer if they have been helpful.

I probably speak more Klingon than I do Spanish. That's another reason to go to Ruby's Vulkan Bar, though she looks less Vulkan these days.

Chris Long & the Doctor in Sosua.

Had the opportunity to spend a five day MLK weekend in Sosua and the Doctor decided to come along for fun.

Hotels:

The Doctor stayed at the New Garden and I stayed at Sosua Suites (Rocky's). The Doctor was happy with his room at the New Garden, I was not happy with my room at Sosua Suites.

Sosua Suites:

Sosua Suites is across the street from Rocky's and basically just around the corner from the strip where all the pickup bars and discos are located. This is good and bad, good because it's just a few paces once you pick up your chica and there's no I'd check, bad because the noise from the discos does not stop until 3:am. My room was on the side of the building closest to the strip and it is LOUD I mean LOUD if you're a light sleeper you aren't going to bed until after the bars close at 3: am (Then you have to listen to that damn dog that's on that side of the building bark for the next three hours) as the monger below me said it's hard to set the atmosphere with all that noise from the disco. Internet was painfully slow at times and hot water was a luxury, had to take many cold showers in the morning, no hot water, and no soap left in the room, had to ask for it. I had originally booked the nicest suit in the place and contacted Rick twice before I came down to make sure my reservation was set. Was told both times the room I reserved was waiting for me. When I get there Rick tells me someone else is in my room for the first two days so I will have to take another room for two days until I can switch. When the time comes for me to switch Rick is MIA. Looked for him two days straight and despite us setting a definite time to meet so I could switch rooms, Rick is nowhere to be found and no one in the restaurant knows anything about it, was just told Rick isn't here. The problem with the Rocky's establishment is that for anything and everything you have to deal directly with Rick, (and Rick isn't the most upfront guy). If he isn't around you are SOL. Not sure if he purposely did this, not sure if he just doesn't want my business any more but he lost me as a customer.

Sosua:

The monger location in Sosua is compact, the whole monger area can be walked in 15 to 20 minutes tops. With the exception of La Passions and CMP Club the girls in sosua are all freelancers. There are a number of Dominican women available but there is also a very large number of Haitian women. On previous trips the standard price was 1500 pesos for short time, one hour, and 3000 pesos for TLN (all night) I found on this trip that inflation had set in (To many guys over paying) the chicas were all asking for 2000 for short time and 4000 for TLN, I had a very difficult time getting them down to 1500 and 3000 even when they did accept it they were always asking for propinas once in the bedroom. This is a very disturbing trend and one that I hope does not continue. I always made it a point when negotiating with a chica that I wanted DATY and BBBJ, this was not a problem to get from the chicas and I received these services from every chica I had. The number of chicas seemed down, Night time was better than day time and weekends were better than weekdays. Rumba always had a good crowed during the day time and D'Latine had a good crowd at night El Flow would also attract a decent crowd during the night. The newer clubs heading towards Passions were dead, I mean dead at night. Even with the numbers of the chicas being down, any time I wanted sex I could always find someone that would meet my taste within ten to fifteen minutes no matter what time of day or night or day of the week.

Freelancers can be found along Dr Rosen Drive which is the street New Garden hotel is on, in the New Garden itself and along Pedro Clisante which is the street where La Passions, CMP and the pickup bars and Discos are, also along Dr. Alejo Martinez heading towards Banco Popular and on the beach. At night they are all in the discos and along Pedro Clisante between Dr Rosen and Camino Del Libre streets (the strip). D'Latin was really the place to be at night. I personally prefer this set up to the old classicos disco up stairs. With the new set up you can cruse the strip at night see if there is anything you like, look in all the bars, walk through D'Latin walk through Rumba and see if there is anything you like before you make your choice. The old way you could certainly curse the strip and look inside the other bars but then you would have to pay to go up stairs to the classicos disco to see if there was anything you wanted in there, if you left you would have to pay to get back in.

Money:

Everything works in Pesos you will want to exchange your money. I always exchanged my money at Bano Popular where I would get good rates. But there are also money changers along Dr Rosen going from the New Garden up to Pedro Clisante who will shout at you asking if you need to exchange money. I only used these guys a few times when I needed to change money and the bank was closed. Got decent rates from these guys not as good as the bank but not bad.

La Passions:

www.passions-sosua.com I visit this place every time I am in Sosua usually only once. I can't begin to tell you how many times I have set out to visit passions and would run into a freelancer along the way and take her instead. In the past I have always gotten great service from the girls I have chosen here and there are some HOT women to be had there. This time I ended up with a real self-absorbed star fish with a bad attitude. I don't know if she didn't like me, or she didn't like sex, or she didn't like working there but she had a real bad attitude. Half way through I got tired of being treated like the Ebola virus took off the condom and started to get dressed, I was mad and was going to complain to someone, the momason the owner, someone about this service. She must of read my mind because she asked me what was wrong. I told her I was tired of being treated like this that I expected better sex and if she didn't like me in the first place she should of told me and I would of chosen someone else. I don't know if the girls get in trouble or not if you complain or if anyone there would even care if you complained but her attitude changed 180 degrees. She became friendly and we started the session all over again from the very beginning, this time with DFK, DATY and a good BBBJ and good full service. Passions has some great girls but there are also a few duds so you have to be careful in choosing.

CMP Club:

http://www.cmp-club.de/#home CMP club is just a few paces down from Passions and I poke my head into this club every time I am in Sosua but have never session with a girl here until this trip. Prices are the same as passions for the hour 2500 pesos and there are some equally HOT women in her as well. Both the Doctor and I chose chica's from here, I was very happy with the chica I had I thought she was supper hot and she gave me great sex, DFK, DATY BBBJ. The Doctor was not as happy with his chica, she was superhot and he said she was great at sex but gave him a CBJ. I always interview first and tell the girl I want DATY and BBBJ before I decide if I'm going to take her or not. The Doctor did not interview first and is a little more timed than me, he probably didn't say anything in the room when she slipped the cover on.

If you are coming from New Garden on Dr. Rosen Drive, to Pedro Clisente Street, you will want to turn to your left and go down about five or ten minutes to find Passions and CMP, they are both on the right hand side of the street. The strip with the clubs and discos begins right at the corner of Dr. Rosen and Clisente to your right on both sides of the street and run for about three blocks or so. You can also get to the beach from this street, it will be on your left before you reach the casino. This is the route I always took to the beach so I could see if there were any nice looking freelancers before I hit the beach looking for freelancers.

Safety:

I always felt safe in the monger areas no matter what time of day or night. I walked towards passions either from my hotel or the strip a number of nights at 1, or 2 in the morning and felt perfectly safe.

Final Thoughts:

Sosua is still my favorite place to monger in the western hemisphere, it is probably a poor man's AC or Pattaya but a convenient place para los Estados Unidos. It's a great place to monger when you can only get an extended weekend. If you have extended time a week or more then Asia is the place to be, not Latin America or the Caribian.

My only fear is the weekend millionaires are going to ruin this place. Fools who go down and throw money around for a few days like they are Gill Gates (then go back home where they still live with their mother) there are already signs of this happening with the chicas asking for 2000 for an hour and 4000 for TLN. And asking for propinas once in the bed room.

For those of you who like to throw money around and inflate the market, I suggest you start mongering in Costa Rica, there you can pay a full cien for an hour with no DFK and a CBJ, fun fun.

I usually stay at Sosua Suites but did not notice the noise. I am with so many women I sleep like a rock. 2k and 4k is crazy. I had a few chicas my last trip offer 1k. The Haitian girls are usually more reasonable. The dollar does buy a little more these days. Prices never go down so this is a bad trend. Often new girls will roll in town and the old pros will tell them the going rate and if they feel they are being shorted the service is shitty. Is day time sevice cheaper.

Anyhow, the weekend warriors come in packs! I was sitting at the NG bar one time, when some dude ordered a soda from Rafael, after he got his soda, he handed Rafael a US one-hundred dollar bill. Rafael looked at me and gave me the WTF look. Therefore, I agree with your thoughts, but they will never go to Costa Rica!

Internet was painfully slow at times and hot water was a luxury, had to take many cold showers in the morning, no hot water, and no soap left in the room, had to ask for it.Overall, good report. I agree with you on your criticisms of Sosua Suites. The owner of Rocky's did a smart thing by becoming a sponsor on a mongering site so his places get pumped up a lot, but once people stay at Sosua Suites its a mixed bag, depending on which unit you get and your expectations.

Price: the price is competitive. I think he charges a "cleaning fee" as well. However, many places in Sosua include breakfast and Sosua Suites didn't when I stayed there, despite Rocky's being right across the street. So no breakfast increases your cost.

Cleanliness / modernization: IMO, the place is a bit ghetto. The furniture is old. The walls and structure have holes. There is a kitchen, but the unit I had just had a burnt pot in the kitchen and nothing else. The place had a cleaning lady, but I felt like she wanted me to work around her schedule at times.

Internet: Was very shaky for me and out a few days. The excuse I got was "well you know, this IS the DR." However, I've stayed at many places with reliable wifi in Sosua. Some people might be thinking you can go across the street and use the net at Rocky's but there are times when you want wifi in your room. For instance, if you are running Pandora on your laptop or phone for music.

TV: My cable was shaky and below what I've experienced at other places. I don't watch a lot of TV but there are times when I might want to watch something on down time or with a chica while we're having some drinks.

Noise: My unit was noisy when I was there. There are families that stay on the premises so sometimes the kids get up early and you can hear noise right outside your window. I also heard the dog at times barking. If there is any type of construction on the strip, you might wake up to that at 8 am as well. Basically, depending on which unit you are in, it can be difficult to get ANY quality sleep.

Hot water: again I agree about hot water being a luxury. I had the hot water system that works where you have to flick on a light switch and wait "15 minutes" for the water to get hot before taking a shower. My hot water lasted about 3 minutes so I know the cold shower feeling.

Pool: the pics on the website don't really represent how ghetto the pool area is. The lounge chairs were filthy. The pool didn't look clean. It's pretty small and there is no privacy.

Security: there is a night guard there most of the time and he is a pretty cool guy.

Advantages: as was mentioned, the spot is convenient for hanging on the strip. You literally can walk across the street from D'Latin or Rumba with a chica or to refill your drink.

Bottomline:

Given all the options in Sosua I would not stay at Sosua Suites again. That being said, some units may be nicer than others. The only thing Sosua Suites has going for it, IMHO, is the location, if you want to be steps away from the action, but you can get that at other places. Sosua Suites offers a bit more privacy than a place like New Garden, which has been ruined somewhat from the advertising on monger sites, if you like some discretion. As far as "Rick being a great host," the best kind of host is the one you never need after he hands you the keys. In general, do your research and don't solely rely on monger sites for things like places to stay.

Sosua suites was great in my IMHO. There are sometimes small glitches but for the price and convience you can not beat it. You can talk to and meet other mongers at Rockies which is.

Across the street. The food is decent and well priced. Rick treats all guest very well. I use the barber shop next door for all its sevices. Is it perfect no. Does it meet your needs absolutely. The security is no hassle and good. In the DR internet, electricity and hot is never consistent. Ricks goes out of his way to provide all services. I think the price and service are a very good value. Everything you need is a short walk form women to soda. I really like and trust Rick. He has come through for many guys when they were under the gun. Sosua suites is where I stay when in Sosua.

Across the street. The food is decent and well priced. It's a cash cow for Rick because of the reasons you stated. No food (not even breakfast) is included in your stay. Since Rocky's is right across the street, it is an easy path for those that don't venture further, which puts more money in his pocket and you can talk to other mongers (if thatz what you are in the DR for).

Guess what, you can even do all of this without staying in Sosua Suites. For instance, you could stay at New Garden and still do this, but your breakfast would be included at NG, which means you wouldn't have to spend the money at Rocky's for breakfast (this should appeal to a budget minded person such as yourself). Also, if you want to talk to other mongers you can do that eating breakfast at NG or a host of other places while consuming your breakfast. That being said, I agree that the food at Rocky's is pretty good, as I have been eating there since before Rick purchased it from Marco.

I don't think Sosua Siites is a bad place, but relative to other options in Sosua. I think the ROI is low. All the "benefits" you mentioned were about location and had nothing to do with the actual unit. Besides security being good, everything else was stuff that is external to Sosua Suites.

The fact that the units have a kitchen and you still feel the need to eat at Rocky's speaks volumes in and of itself. If I have a decent kitchen, I prefer to buy groceries and have a chica cook breakfast. If I want to eat out there are a lot of options outside of Rocky's, for those that don't need everything within a 50 yard radius. On a side note, a lot of people sleep on the other end of the strip by Pasions because it doesn't get as much hype but there are a lot of hotel and food options in Sosua if you don't need the 50 yard radius.

La Passions:

www.passions-sosua.com

I visit this place every time I am in Sosua usually only once.

ChrisI was down there for the long weekend also. First thing I did was run to Passions when I arrived for a short time on site so I could relax and enjoy the rest of the night. I thought I would be safe staying onsite but I got a lame, don't do this, don't do that, wont do that starfish. I was like hell with it I am not getting into the whole complaining thing. I talked with a buddy of mine and another gentleman I meet at Baileys and both had a bad experience at Passions also. Its become obvious Peter is not stressing performance to the girls. I pay Peter a little more for it not to be a crap shoot.

To anybody reading these boards Passions has become far from a guaranteed good experience.

Always like staying at Sosua suites and found Rick to be accommodating. Yea no free breakfast but airport pickup is included which is more value to me. For us that refuse to drive and try to avoid over use of the risky motoconchos, location is everything so not sure how posters dismiss that. TV, hot water, internet is hit or miss in many places.

Lots of good info...thanks!

I have been to Dominican Republic five times and I stayed in Cabarete a few of the times on account of the windsurfing. Forget about taking a motoconcho at night with chica riding on the back. The road from Cabarete to Sosua is a white line nightmare at night. You would be risking your life.Agreed. I would avoid travelling that far along a main road on a motoconcho in the daytime, let alone at night.

You would need to take a taxi and that is going to cost you $15 USD each way.Wrong. You could take a publico or guagua each way for 40 pesos (US$1). If you have a big ass or are a snob, buy two seats for two dollars and enjoy a bit more comfort.

I agree with your general strategy, though. It is better to stay in Sosua and travel to Cabarete for the daylight hours.

I do have girls pick me up at airports and the last time I paid for sex I was in my 20's in Colon, Panama. I have nothing against it I just don't think I could do it because I have created options. I was young and the internet wasn't really a good tool yet. To me it would be like sticking my dick in a urinal. I currently use Facebook when I need to and other social networking sites.

I'm in Sosua at the moment and have not gotten laid yet and don't plan to! I think this place is a ghetto! I went to caberete in the blue taxis today. I paid for 5 seats because no one else was around. On the way back I was one of five for 25 pesos. Cabarete is worse than sosua because it is a ghetto AND it's on the main road.

This whole area (country) is like a huge Jaco, Costa rica. I can't leave the hotel without some ghetto guy asking me what I need. I'm going to eat in a few minutes and I dread walking out on the streets. I knew this place would suck but I just needed some warm weather for a few days. I can't believe the dumb asses that actually buy places here.

I had some french guy bragging about how he bought a place and 2 other guys that have been coming for 25 years! WTF really?

I guess competition for tourism is tough because there are a ton of vacant buildings here. I was also told that sex tourism is ruining this town but I guess at this point it is the only thing going for it. I feel sorry for the Austrian lady that runs Bailey's. Life must have really sucked for her in Austria.

BTW Santo Domingo is crap. Save your money and time.

The only reason to come here is if you are really horny and like hanging out with other really horny guys. My advice is to stay home and get a job that pays more and go to a better place. Thanks for blessing our humble island with you're presence; sorry we can never meet your standards. Please feel free to never return so we can't disappoint you any further. We wouldn't want you spending your vacation in the hotel room jacking off with all these non-Russian women walking around.

P. S. You might want to try Russia or Europe for Russian women, ever thought about that player (ghetto talk).
