Your thoughts.You are absolutely right. The earlier you get a chica the more likely she will want to get back out there. This is why I asked Brother P what time did he get her. I wanted to know the exact time, because I figured if it was real late, most times chicas agreeing to TLN would rather stay until morning. Not necessarily for another session, but to have a nice bed and shower. Moreover, considering it was real late, a guy would typically hit it, and go to sleep. He can accomplish that with a ST arrangement and let the chica go. Just simply skip the idea of a TLN (hitting it again in the morning ). Besides, one can't guarantee he'll get the chica up for another session once her head hits the pillow.

Put the hoe on blast. I haven't had such been luck but it could happen to any of us. Some of the hoes in Sosua are slick bitches and have to much game. The is no magic pattern on how a hoe will behave. My last trip I met a haitiana in front of Rumba bar and she knows all the haitianas. I fucked her every other night and only gave her money when she road the bus with me to Santiago on to catch my flight because she lived there. Apparently her sister has a shop and she stayed to run the shop and maintain their raggedy ass apartment. Hence, she acted very GFE, and spent the night then left every morning. After a few days there I chilled like a local and so her when I wanted. She gave no pressure for money. I gave 3, 000 pesos when the cab we took from Carib Tours station to STI dropped me off. She got one kid in Santiago and her brother and sister called her every night to leave Sosua and go home to Santiago to mind her kid. This was Dec 2012 and I have talked to her since, because I lave each trip behind and prepare for the new adventure for the next trip. I usually go get breakfast then start texting girls looking for a ST late in the morning. I spend the evenings chatting up girls and getting their numbers, so there is a decent pool of prospects. My advise would be to shop outside of this pool. Go to Puerto Plata or one of the little towns nearby (la Union, Mantllano, Cabarette) and meet chics. They are more appreciative and giving. It might cost more in the long run (travel, drinks etc) but it might be worth it. You would be surprised how many girls hate Sosua and won't go anywhere near it. Flight:

Flight was out of LAX to POP for $700 and change. No real issues with the flights, AA was running on time the entire trip.

Hotel:

For the first time, I stayed at Casa Cayena. Wilfried met me at the airport, just like he use to do when he managed NG. Casa Cayena also has a group (ISG) cash rate. The place is off the main road, kind of tucked in the back towards the semi private beach. The place is extremely quiet and well kept. I did get a chance to eat in the restaurant several times and the food was quite good. The complimentary breakfast menu had a ton of choices. Room security was never an issue. I thought the entire staff was professional and overall outstanding. I will stay there again.

Money:

I used the WU again and got a rate of 40. 950. The rest of the time I abused the ATM machines and vice-versa.

Cell Phone:

I went back to Orange and my SIM card was still up and running. I put 500 pesos of minutes on the card, which was plenty enough.

Running mate:

I met up with Brother P and we patrolled the streets damn near every night. The dude is laid back, and not a sloppy drunk like me! It was a pleasure hanging with him.

I lost track of days and nights, but here is what I do remember:

Classico:

Closed the entire seven nights.

Merengue Bar:

You can walk through this place and fucking hear crickets!

El Flow:

New look, and no tables on the sidewalk. The place has more space and tables. Still seems to be a place for the locals; not fat ugly Gringos such as myself.

Rumba:

Still a very good crowd. The girls seem to move back and forth from D' Latin to check out future customers.

El Toro:

Still my favorite hang out. Disco is no longer, but the front bar always has hot bartenders! Sitting in El Toro, you can see all the action unfold across the street. If you are a people watcher, like me, it is a nice spot to start.

D' Latin:

This is the place nowadays. But I really don't care for the club. Too packed, too many uneven floors, and shoulder to shoulder type action. However, my buddy Miguel works there so I can always get a place to sit down. The girls come from everywhere. From really hot smoking chicas to chicas wearing shoes for the first time in their life; thus, nice selection.

New Bar? :

It is on the corner across from the cigar bar? Turns out my buddy Juan works there and when I saw him, I got my usual grizzly bear hug! He showed me around and the place was nice, but quite empty. I brought a couple of girls in there and Juan directed me upstairs and told me that I could do whatever I wanted to do with the girls there; so I did!

After One Club:

So I went back the following night so I could ask my new love for her hand in marriage. She came to me and planted a nice wet kiss on me, and then we sat down. I bought her a beer and we started chatting. Meanwhile, this dude came over on the other side of her and started talking to her, and she directed her attention to him. I was in the "Fuck you" mode, so a grabbed another girl and moved to a different couch.

So guess who gets jealous? She comes over and wants to move between me and my new future wife. At that point, I went off on her in my best shitty Spanish! It went kind of like this,"What in the fuck are you thinking? I buy you a drink, and you want to talk to another fucking clown? Leave me the fuck alone so I can spend time with my new future wife!" She was pissed, but did get over it soon because I got 20-25 calls from her the next few days.

I was about to leave CMP, but then the sky opened up and dogs and cats were falling everywhere. It rained hard for a couple of hours. Hell, I crashed in the arms of my future wife and she woke me up when the rain stopped. The streets were flooded! I found a motoconcho and we about killed the engine 2-3 times going though the flooded streets. I never returned to CMP thereafter.

I live in DR about 75% of the year, so I shop in supermarkets and I have a pricesmart card. I've bought 1 container of 3lbs of butter that cost more than 3 1lb containers of the same brand.

I've seen individual packs go for less per unit than bulk stuff. I point that out to the management, friends and such and I don't understand. I've also seen, a bundled 4 pack of carnation milk that is more expensive if you buy them individual.

I do like the buy an item get something related for free. They will tape things together like Rice and Oil. Dish detergent and a sponge.

Contrast this to WalMart in the US, where if you want a single bandaid, you probably have to buy a pack of 50 or 100, albeit at a very low price per bandaid. In colmados, you can also buy items like single cigarettes, but I don't know the price.

If you want to buy a 5-gallon botellon of water in the DR, a refill is only 35 pesos once you have paid about 150 pesos for the original 5-gallon bottle, but you would pay 15 pesos for a 16 oz bottle of drinking water in the supermarket, and a great deal more at a bar, maybe 50 or 100 pesos (but then you are, of course, paying for chair rental, not for water as a commodity.)

In places like Pricemart where the name of the game is to sell economy sizes, often to businesses and restaurants, it is certainly cheaper for certain items like spices or bouillon cubes when bought in bulk. At the Latino supermarket in Sosua, you also get a good discount on bulk purchases of generic equivalents to Viagra, but then the owner is an Englishman.

Orange is no better! I paid an annual subscription for a cell in P. Pta. The clerk then used my payment to activate a number to other client and pocketed the money. Orange refused to honor the contract, had not provided the service and has not reimbursed me even after an investigation. Then Orange activated my SIM card and disconnected it the day after I loaded it. Then refused to pay me back or transfer credit to another number. What a sad bunch of crooks, won't give them more than 100 peso at a time. I wish they rename it Lemon.

Viva is probably the best value for money. Claro seems to be the worst. I have both Viva and Orange USB modems, as it seems to me that when the signal for Orange goes down, Claro goes down at the same time. Probably they share some of the same communications infrastructure, I don't know. Viva often seems to work when the others have no signal.

There are about 5 hotels on that street casa Valera, casa Cayana, Rocky's etc. If you do decide to book at New Garden, do it online so you have proof of conformation of a room. If you do it over the phone you can lose a room like what happendd to me last year and cause of that I have never been back there. All the night spots are around the corner from the ng. Calle rosen is a cross street of the main stripe, Pedro Calisente (spelled it wrong). Sosua is very small and has a ton of girls. There will be chica for you before you even leave your hotel! As for money, I would just stick to the atm's. I have bofa and Scotia bank is the sister bank and I can use their atm's with no fee and they give you the daily rate. Only problem with soctia is that the bank closed down and there is only one soctia atm on the haighway around the corner from Rumba in a pharmacy.

according to the agreed upon statement of facts, gallant traveled to the dominican republic in february 2011 and had sexual relations in his apartment with a 14-year-old girl he knew was ****. gallant returned to the dominican republic four times over the course of a year to engage in illicit sexual relations with the **** victim, giving her money, a laptop computer, and jewelry during that time. additionally, on these trips, gallant took photographs of the victim while she was nude and while engaging in sexual acts, and took those images back to the united states.

in february 2012, the national tourist police of the dominican republic learned that gallant had engaged in sexual relations with the then 15-year-old victim. the victim was forensically interviewed by a medical professional and she confirmed that gallant engaged in sex with her. she provided agents with a cell phone containing images of gallant naked, including an image of gallant and the victim engaged in sexual activity. the victim disclosed that gallant had promised her certain items and money to take her mother to the doctor, but never gave them to her. additionally, the victim stated that gallant forced her to have sex with him a couple times when she was unwilling. the victim also informed investigators that gallant asked her to bring him other minor girls to have sex with and this happened on two occasions. gallant paid both of these minors $100.

So that gives us 1700 pesos per day, which is about $42. 50.

However you can eat for less than this and you could make the numbers 150, 250, 500 for a total of 900 ($22. 50) pesos, still eating in restaurants. Your hotel may have breakfast included. If you buy food from the supermarket to replace some of these meals, then the outlay for food may be reduced further.

I have not included drinks, since they vary depending on what you order. A gallon bottle of drinking water in the supermarket is a couple of dollars, but in a bar / restaurant you may pay the same for a small bottle. Similarly fruit juices, sodas, and beers as you would expect, are much cheaper in the supermarket.

But if gourmet eating is not a main factor in your holiday you can eat very healthily for less than 1000 a day as Frannie says.

Because of the hot weather in May most guys only need to eat two meals a day. A good plan is a big, late breakfast around 11. 00am (350 pesos) and a main meal around 7. 00pm (550 pesos) , leaving you time to prepare yourself for the night-life which only really gets going around 10. 00pm. I have not included drinks because everyone is different there.

If you do self-service in a room with a fridge, you will pay much less. Maybe get by on 600 pesos a day.

Dominican food is bland and boring. .With all due respect, I could not disagree more.

The very first time in the DR, I never touched anything Domenican but over a period of time, I have tried a number of things that I thought are excellent:

1. Goat meat and rice or boiled plantain or mashed plantain (mangu) or potato puree. The sauce was excellent and one can add hot pepper sauce if one wishes.

2. Barbecued spareribs and casabe. Which is a bread substitue. A pancake but rather stiff but has a nice taste and texture.

3. San-cocho : a soup I had with chicken but I understand can be done with pork etc. Nice flavor of cilantro. I had a similar soup with fish (mero) with potatoes and carrots thrown in. Nice and satisfying.

4. Rice and bean (habichuela) and vegetable. Typically either grilled eggplant or steamed okras. You can add meat. Beef or grilled / fried chicken on the side.

They have dishes like fried ham or sausages which I stay away from. It is true that Dominicans do not like spicy food especially women. I on the other hand, given my heritage can eat extremely spicy food which has its charm but I think bland food (just like kidney pie) has its own charm as well. In particular their use of some fresh herbs. Like cilantro and oregano (in habichuela) has won me over.

The Jap bikes rent out fast and I believe they rent out for $100 a day. The local bikes rent out for $60 or so. I rented one of these for 2 days. Kinda lame given that I ride a 1200cc back home. But seemed underpowered as I rode this to BB / Costambar. But locals seem fine with these small bikes.

I noticed a group of black dudes. 4 or 5 of them riding fast Jap rentals from same place and riding at 60 or 90 mph. Yeah the bikes can do it but there are potholes and other hazards out there so be careful. Those 1000cc on a Suzuki GSXR are going to kill you. You don't want to crash in DR on vacation.

For those thinking about renting I recommend really thinking hard about risks when crashing. If you hit something you will pay gringo rates and locals will always win. The police and hospital are quite likely during your stay here especially if you have not driven in third world countries before.

A friend of mine who lives in Cabarete uses the short time rooms in the Central Hotel which is right behind Bar Central.I'm not sure that many even know there's a hotel behind the bar. Even if they do, since the Central is on the strip and the reception is in the bar itself, this puts the 'walk of shame' (both in and out) at levels most aren't comfortable with. I used to spend a lot of time there during the afternoon and night and rarely saw the hotel getting used for ST or for any other purpose. My last memory of such was of an old guy trying to bring in a nasty Dominican ho during the height of the evening and mgmt refusing her entry because of a suspect identity card. She quickly went non linear (no surprise) and had to be forcibly removed from the bar in concert with a rather loud applause from the packed house. There is no clue you're calling from the DR. When roaming choose claro as the ringtone is the same as the US, the orange ringtone is more european. One thing is sometimes if the call's don't make it to your cell, they will get a spanish message. My suggestion is to get a majicjack and call forward your cell to it. There are sometimes issues with Majic Jack and the us cell phone companies, however, you can pick your area code and tell your girl you a traveling to that city. There are other voip services as well.

I have a web based service, it has a Los Angeles area code and I can forward it to any number in the world. In order to answer it, you have to press a key on the cell phone (this avoids the spanish voicemail) I can also make calls from the web and it will conference in what ever number I program and the number I am calling.

Works pretty good with not too much bandwidth.

Well I thought that nothing could approach the Del Rey in San Jose. After living in Costa Rica for 13 years. I now live in Sosua (with a short six month stint in Medellin thrown in.) And after walking down the main boulevard a couple of times on a couple of nights. Then walking into Rhumba. That changed my whole perspective. Rhumba is open air. Like the Beetle Bar used to be. But about 10 times bigger, at least. The girls are literally hanging out the sides. Walk in easily (no unfriendly guards crap) Buy a drink or not. I had a Corona and it cost me $3. 50. Friendly people was my experience. I met a couple of guys who have lived here for awhile. They told me that $50 was what was needed to have one of the girls leave with you. I did not pull one. There were ALL sizes and shapes. Yes some looked like the front line of the Rams football team. But some were slim knockouts. There was something there for everybody. I'll bet that most of the boobs I saw were natural. And that coffee colored skin against pink bra straps. Nice. Yes you should be a fan of darker complected ladies to really enjoy this place. I forgot whether or not your cellphone number displays the same in the US when placing the call from the DR. I also remember something posted about a way to forward or funnel your calls through a phone purchased in the DR.

Whatever the method, I need to be in stealth mode for my upcoming trip. My lady can not know that I will be in the DR. Any assistance is appreciated.Best bet is bring a unlocked smartphone that accepts sim card. While at home upload the skype on your phone over wifi. Once you have skype buy a skype mobile number $6 a month. This is a number others can call you at via skype. Also set up caller I'd masking. Use your US phone number. This will make all your skype calls show up as your US phone number on caller I'd on outgoing calls. (Free)

Before you leave the states forward your calls to your skype number. Be sure to use unconditional call forwarding.

When you arrive in DR buy a Claro sim card and insert into your phone. $7.

You can easily add minutes to the sim card anytime you have wifi access at ezetop. C0m.

Purchase daily internet from Claro via text (explained below). Now you have wifi everywhere you go. When someone calls you from USA it is forwarded to skype. Your phone rings with the skype ringtone. No one knows your on skype when you anwser. If you call out to USA use skype $.06 per minute. The call masking will show your USA phone number to the receiver. Thry will not know your on skype. You will also revieve texts from your USA number also. But outgoing skype texts will show up a california number on the caller I'd so be careful with outgoing texts via skype. It works great even with less than ideal internet coverage. If internet is poor reception you will notice a slight lag in conversations. You can always use WiFi also. There will be No spanish operators or messages to worry about.

The best part is you still have a local Claro number for calling and texting the chicas. You can receive calls from Skype or Claro.

To add daily internet to your Claro sim card. Dial *111# Send. 2. On the menu that comes up select "2 Servicios Opcionales" and Send. 3. Select "2 Blackberry Prepago" and Send. (It does not matter what type of phone you have."Blackberry" is pretty much the generic term for a smartphone in DR. 4. Select "1 Comprar paquete" and Send. 5. Select "1 Full" and Send. 6. Chose how many days you want. (As I said it is best to do 1.) And Send. 7. It will ask if you are sure that you want to buy your package. Select "1 Si" and Send. 8. You will now get a message saying that you have purchased "xyz" and you are ready to use the internet on your phone.

Another great app to have is Jibbigo translator if your spanish is poor. It works well and doesn't require internet access to use.

SAVE THE LEFTOVER PIECE OF CARD. You can put the cutout sim card back in it with a piece of scotch tape over the back. That way you can use it as a full size card if you ever need to put it in a different phone.

Many Iphone 4 do not have a sim card slot. The 4s models all have a sim card slot.

I travel all over the DR and I need to be accessable at all times for buisness. Coverage varies much. Some areas Orange is best other places it is Claro. I bought a dual sim card adapter on ebay for my iphone 4s I keep a Orange and Clard in the phone at the same time. I can easily switch carriers without manually swapping cards.

Forget Viva cards unless your going to the capital. Their coverage sucks.

Galaxy has a new dual sim phone out. It is factory unlockef and capable of receiving calls from either card at the same time.

I also have a galaxy s3. It does seem to have a little better antenna than my iphone.

I have a Samsung note 2 which is unlocked, went to a claro store and the chick took my big sim card and put it in the card cutter everything is all good. Internet works fine I had my claro big sim for over 2 half years so it was good to keep my same number. The photos my t-moblie sim back home, and the one from claro.Thanks for that information. I'm sure Orange can do the same thing for my sim in my Alcatel phone. I will double check to see if my own cutter can do the same job. Just don't want to screw it up. Orange and Claro will have sim cards for your phone. They will cut it for you. SAVE THE LEFTOVER PIECE OF CARD. You can put the cutout sim card back in it with a piece of scotch tape over the back. That way you can use it as a full size card if you ever need to put it in a different phone.

Many Iphone 4 do not have a sim card slot. The 4s models all have a sim card slot.

I travel all over the DR and I need to be accessable at all times for buisness. Coverage varies much. Some areas Orange is best other places it is Claro. I bought a dual sim card adapter on ebay for my iphone 4s I keep a Orange and Clard in the phone at the same time. I can easily switch carriers without manually swapping cards.

Forget Viva cards unless your going to the capital. Their coverage sucks.

Galaxy has a new dual sim phone out. It is factory unlockef and capable of receiving calls from either card at the same time.

I also have a galaxy s3. It does seem to have a little better antenna than my iphone.Ok, so the dual sim adapter is for phones that are not dual sim capable already? I just received my phone in the mail, along with my 64gb sd card, and otterbox case. I looked at my Orange sim card and compared that with the other sim cards I previously used. They were all standard size sims. I broke out my sim card cutter and cut an old unused standard card just to test it out. Then I took the plunge and cut my Orange standard sim card. The cut seems to be good. Now I'll try to test it.

This April and last November I went to Dulce Secreto in Sosua because I couldn't and / or didn't want to bring the chica to my hotel. They have several units with different prices, but I only tried the standard and the executive units. $590 & $690 pesos respectively for 4 hours. Don't know what it costs beyond 4 hours. The difference between the two is the Executive had a jacuzzi, but no shower. The standard has only a shower. I would assume a jacuzzi is a good option if a guy has developed some rapport with the chica, whereas they can bath together. The jacuzzi takes a little time to fill though. For the guy who has a chica that mainly wants to get the deed done, get paid and go, the unit with a shower would be better.
