My Point is, for people to stop judging other mongers and making asinine assumptions of Dominican culture based on interactions with hookers. It's not about who pays first. It's about who will meet her price and those who are willing to pay it. It's still a competition and those that say it isn't are in make believe. As an expat living here and loving it, and them, you got it right.And so say all of us. As far as the majority of chicas in Sosua bars go, the best you can do is find a good body and an enthusiastic attitude, which can be done fairly easily for not much money, regardless of your own demographic profile. High class chicas, such as medical students, doctors, lawyers, journalists, chicas who are knowledgeable about DR life and politics, might be worth a bit more money as you can have interesting conversations as well as sex, but they are few and far between, so you may just as well stick to the ones who have the kind of shell and infrastructure that you like and keep it light. Elasticity of demand is hardly a factor at all at the 1000 to 1200 price point.

Just got back in the states today and had a great second trip in Sosua. Much better than the first. My first trip I spent the first four days trying to nail everything that I liked looking at without looking for that chemistry that would turn any time spent with any girl that much better. Playa Sosua: Sundays suck there cause it's family day and it's packed beyond belief and the local Dominicans come from all over just to trash the beach up without a care in the world. It's still ten time better than Cabarete though. Clear blue water, chicas are there, they'll play with your junk under the water, the sunsets are to die for [pics prove it. ]. The vendors are still there. Rick said they're are trying to work a deal somehow on getting payed to be forced out. Dunno. Oh, there was this little shithead guy from Boca Chica that spoke perfect English; young twenties with curly hair and a pot belly wearing underwear. All he does is cruise the beach looking to scam tourists by saying he'll introduce you to a nice girl that doesn't want money, just take care of him for meeting you guys up [1000 pesos taking care of him LOL. ] I told him I can find my own girls. Next day saw him again and later saw him trying to scam some dudes I met a few days back. The "non-pro" girls he was introducing to my friends were in-fact pros and he even got mad when my friend asked one of the girls how much. His scam is you give him money and take the girl back and fuck her. She'll then ask for about double what she'd normally get cause you never settled an agreement. I told this guy to his face to [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) off because for one you speak perfect English, are from Boca Chica. The place most notorious for scams in the DR, and what I already mentioned above. After that, his ass beat-feet. You can't miss this guy and if you see him, call him on his shit so he goes elsewhere.
A little Spanish goes a long way. This trip was ten times what last one was because I could speak and understand some of the basics. Once fluent, I would never go to Sosua again. I'd visit the real DR and rent a car traveling the whole country.
My friend that I mentioned in "Brief trip report," the broke guy, he ended up hitting up his baby-momma for some cash LOL. Ran in to him a few days later and he said all was good.
I'll touch on the race issue briefly since it was of recent discussion...again LOL. This time most of the guys I met on this trip were black [I'm white, ] and just cool dudes that knew the game and were fun to hang with. I met a lot of good people of all ages and types hanging out at Rocky's [ate breakfast there everyday and chilled sometimes in the late afternoon. ] In fact, everyone I met on this trip was trying to keep the hustle to 1500 ST and 2000 TLN. I only saw one group of tourist assholes and they were a bunch of white guys at The Spot [I think that is the name-next to El Toro, ] and these guys were asking for trouble; inconsiderate, loud, all had their shirts off, drunk, rude, absolute douches.
Mary Rose: I'll try to say what hasn't been said or is advertised on the website. For one, the grounds are kept well. Pool is cleaned daily. There is direct TV with lots of English channels. Laundry service is available for 300 pesos; they'll wash, fold and return in the same day. Rick has free phones for guests to use. Just give him a 1500 peso deposit and you get a phone to use, all you have to do now is buy the minutes [highly recommended btw to get a phone,] return it and get your deposit back. Everyone I met there at MR loved it and didn't complain about it not being right on the strip. One dude said it best, "you're on vacation, chill the fuck out," and have the chica come to you or moto her ass with oyu on the back for 100 pesos, no biggie. BTW, I found staying here, like Chris Long said, has its perks. You living where the locals live, there's no crime, just chicas during the day and some family hook-ups are even possible. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat, in fact, i will if there's room.
All in all, it was a great trip. I'll definitely be back. Sosua may not be what it was ten years ago, or the vets may not like it today, but there is still a great time to be had there and for us newbies it is still a Godsend from the United States. As long as you obey the rules. I'll be sure to try and follow them better next time.

Some observations from my 2nd visit.
New garden was much busier, but far from crazy or noisy. Those 2 little dogs barking was the only noise. Not a ton of young guys, and there were quiet. Still very few girls there, and even less worth looking at. Old wing room was fine.
Dlatins is where you find the hotties. The later the better. Can't believe how crowded it must get during the busy season. Funny watching some girls sit off to the side. No interaction with guys, not the hotties, and no action. Some bottom feeders are more aggressive and at least have a chance of snagging a customer.
I, again, used the change guy in the booth just down from ng. Rate was 41.
Have yet to use the v from latinos market, but definitely a great price at 96 for 975. Using only 25 mg a pop, I'm good for a while, or very busy, LOL.

From what Rick from Rocky's was talking about, it looks like Peter may be doing some hard time. Don't want to start the rumor mil back up on this subject though. Just count on it not being open. However you can pretty much have the same thing at CMP now though. I saw a few Passions chicas from last trip working at CMP this time. CMP is great if you want to go get a 2-hour lap-dance for the cost of one beer plus a drink for your chica at around 100 pesos if you're feeling generous. In the DR you are guilty until proven innocent from what I hear. Trust me, you are there for 5 days, if you can get in to Mary Rose and there is room for you, go for it! You will not be disappointed! Even one day is worth it just because it is so easy to get to town. By Moto, it's really like a two minute ride. Walking is like ten minutes.

As for hotels, is NG better as compared to Sosua Suites? I'm looking to return soon and NG is frequently mentioned, mostly with good reviews but lately it seems as if people have mixed opinions based off the crowd that stays there. I could care less about the crowd I suppose, I'm in Sosua for some fun. I don't expect a lot of sleep and my body runs just fine with a few good hours of rest. What the crowd does there and who they are (as long as they are not dangerous) , it doesn't affect me really. Sosua Suites was just fine, very convenient location and right across from Rocky's. Bedrooms had a great AC although the rest of the apartment was incredibly hot, need the fan running or the bedroom door left open to offer some level of cool air to the rest of the place.

As for hotels, is NG better as compared to Sosua Suites? I'm looking to return soon and NG is frequently mentioned, mostly with good reviews but lately it seems as if people have mixed opinions based off the crowd that stays there. I could care less about the crowd I suppose, I'm in Sosua for some fun. I don't expect a lot of sleep and my body runs just fine with a few good hours of rest. What the crowd does there and who they are (as long as they are not dangerous) , it doesn't affect me really. Sosua Suites was just fine, very convenient location and right across from Rocky's. Bedrooms had a great AC although the rest of the apartment was incredibly hot, need the fan running or the bedroom door left open to offer some level of cool air to the rest of the place.The latinos generics are 100mg too. Made in the dr. Exp date 2016. Already tried them and just as good as my real stuff from the states.
New garden is right in the middle of the action, but on a quiet backstreet from the strip. My 2 visits, dead quiet at night and in the am. Pool bar restaurant squeeky clean. Room is adequate. Good ac, decent shower, wifi, lg bed, safe, tv with tons of channels. 3 porn, english and other languages. Good free breakfast. Never tried any other, so no comarison from me.

I spent 4 nights in Sosua. A Friday to a Tuesday.
Hotel: Tropico Azul. It used to be called the Sosua Bay Hotel. Its the hotel right on the water. I think it probably the best hotel in Sosua. It was 50USD. The hotel has a large pool, free wifi and a bar. The hotel used to allow girls 24 hours a day for free, but now they charge $10 dollars per girl between the house of 6am to 10pm. It looks like they are trying to cleanup the hotel. There now appear to be more families staying at the hotel. Maybe that was always the case and I just did not realize. Although I like this hotel, I can't give it a complete go because of the girl fee, and the hotel requires you to wear a wrist band. With that said it is still probably the nicest accommodations in Sosua that I have stayed at.
Girls: Most girls asked for 2000 DR peso, which in the grand scheme of things is not outrageous. Most would go back to the room for 1500. A couple actually said they would come back to the room for 1000. Most of the girls who said 1000 where at the far end of the strip. I was only at the end of the strip because I was with a friend who needed to go back and forth between Sosua and POP. I would not recommend a car. It is a waste of money for the most part.

The actually blamed the internet for being part of the problem saying that guys are saying nobody is here and the other part of the problem was some girls are scared to come. I don't want the reason but there were not nearly as many girls as there used to be. It seems like Sosua and the DR are cleaning up. Its good and bad. On the non weekend days, things were even slower. You should visit on a weekend and go do something else on the weekdays.
If you are going to be there during weekdays you might want to get some numbers to have girls to call. Hanging with them during the day starts to add up when you considered food and alcohol if you are hanging on the beach. There are a few girls on the beach during the day, not many. It seems like the beach had a lot of European tourist and a good number of tourist. I saw a lot of groups going on scuba diving trips.
With all that said Sosua and the DR are still fun, but not as fun as it used to be. It looks like the DR trying to develop more for tourism. Enjoy it while you can. I miss the good old days. How do we bring them back? I guess you just have to enjoy it while you can.

Also keep in mind that the US economy is very much still in the crapper, airfare is still increasing, so there will be less mongers going to Sosua in general.

Poor performance and or experiencing problems have finally caught up to certain chicas. They are available but guys that have intel on them are avoiding them like the plague. Like Deep's chica Ana. This past July, there were at least a dozen chicas missing I am accustomed to seeing around in Sosua. And thats just the ones I know of. I think many of them are staying home. I should have asked her how come she wasnt going to Sosua? I think I know her answer. She's been successful in meeting several guys who let her know when they are coming, and then she'll go to Sosua or wherever to be with them. Somebody in the bunch might be a western union novio as well, so she may have some steady income. Must be, chicas don't normally tear up dinero just because they get mad.
I'm sure dating websites, FB and other social media have taken up the slack as well. Now more and more girls are securing clientel via the internet. More guys are staying in contact by phone with chicas, that is another factor. So mongers and chicas are working out their plans / appointments to connect later. I most certainly believe when certain holidays come, Super Bowl week comes and any other event that causes an abundance of mongers to show up, the chicas will meet that demand.
Guys that make connections with their dr phones, those that make contacts via internet, those that are comfortable going outside of Sosua to meet chicas. They arent as concerned as other mongers. About there not being enough chicas in Sosua. But I will say this. One week to the next, the whole scene could change in a flash. Because a shitload of chicas may show up. With more than enough new faces to satisfy every monger in town. This phenomenon applies to NG as well. You read reports of how some guy experienced a rowdy, noisy bunch of mongers, and then another comes on his vacation, and sees or hears none of that.
Can't judge Sosuas whole chica representation because of how a particular week or month turned out.

For example a man with a retirement income of $2000 or more per month who spends all of that 12 months of the year on rent, utilities, groceries, bars and restaurants, and the occasional chica, plus supporting a live-in Dominicana or Haitiana with a child, might be regarded as more economically desirable than the weekend warrior.

Some writers comment that no one comes to Sosua except to monger, but I see plenty of expatriate couples where the woman is clearly postmenopausal happily smoking and playing bingo at the Britannia pub or dining in restaurants, and while this population of retired couples may be small, it certainly exists and it must be renting or owning local real estate and spending money locally in spite of prostitution.

The market may be higher for a NYC-Puerto Plata than a say Pittsburgh-NYC-Puerto Plata or Pittsburgh-MIA-Puerto Plata.

I took a taxi when I landed to Sosua which took maybe 2 hours and 15 mins because the driver was just terrible and incredibly tired. POP is much more convenient, but it costs more to fly into. By about $200+ more. Mongers just need to decide, will the $200 saved be worth it? If one is there for 2-3 days, I don't think so. If is there for 4-5 days, then it's better to fly into STI as you have more time.

Sometimes you can meet chicas on the bus and you can get a little rest from your flight. Most days not much goes on between 10 and 2 so the trip on the bus is a positive.

I didn't see a hint of prostitution in those videos. I saw a boy friend and his girl friend who have strong feelings for each other. Anyway he seems like a nice guy and is very honest and even sensitive, a trait which is scarce here on ISG. All things considered, he sure ended up with a super babe! Excellent point sir. I have noticed that SD tends to be the cheapest to fly into, I wish I would have taken that option since it would have been nice to explore the capital even for just a few hours. But I think my lack of Spanish skills wouldn't have helped very much, but I think in time one learns and these days with translating tools on the iPhone it is not that difficult to get around with basic sentences. I usually don't start my action until the afternoon after 3 PM anyways, so a nice quiet bus ride in the AM might just be the way to go next time.

How do you find Santiago vs. Sosua? I'm unfamiliar with Santiago and just barely scratching the surface with Sosua. I can imagine Santiago having more chicas since it's the second largest city but it must be more a little more difficult to reel them in as opposed to Sosua, unless I'm completely wrong there.
On the way back to STI from Sosua, I had Rick help out with the transportation and had a drive that took the Mountainous route at night. However, this guy was great and the ride was nice in the end. Got me there in just about an hour and 40 mins.

Hope you like the vids.Trace that's pretty brave of you to put yourself in front of the camera like that, I would rethink making those videos available, you may want to consider blocking those videos with you in them and keeping your personal life personal.
I know the depression you are going through when you're sitting at the airport waiting to leave and you would give anything to stay, we all go through it. The secret is to always have another monger trip booked and ready so that you know in the back of your mind within a few short weeks you'll be back in paradise somewhere in the world. I was in Sosua about three weeks ago and was depressed as hell about leaving and would of given anything to stay longer but I knew within a couple weeks I was going to make a run to Boys Town in NL was depressed about leaving there yesterday but on Friday I'm leaving for Medellin, the secret is to always have another trip booked before you leave your last trip. Certain rules you have to live your life by, for me it's to never go more than four weeks between a monger trip.
Texas isn't hell, it just feels that way after being in paradise.

Yeah there isn't any mention of any prostitution in the vids so I think I'll be okay. I did have to disable the comments though sense someone posted some shit that I don't think I want my family or Suzy reading. Also, it was the entire vacation and the DR in general that got to me, not just her. However, it does sadden me knowing that her mother is trying to pimp her out and turn her in to a puta chica. I finally got the strength and energy to start writing up my week long first time experience at Sosua. This report is more for those who never visited this place before for the purpose of mongering. I will write this in two parts.
I just want to briefly note that even though the POP airport is new and bigger (I assume) it took forever for me to board my plane back home. Line ups were long and slow. Getting on the island was a little faster.

I have booked my stay at New Garden for the reasons of location, solo travel, nice rooms, on site chicas, pool and included breakfast. The rooms are nice and clean with steady hot water, and the location is fantastic. But unfortunately due to late nights, I only partook in two of the seven breakfasts. Each night I was out until closing time at D'Latins and the girls often did not leave / get out of bed until after 11:00 am. At times during the day there were more girls outside of the hotel than inside. Real disappointment regarding resident chicas. The pool I did not use, and the setting did not work out for me regarding meeting other fellow mongers. I am kind of shy by nature and approaching strange men is not easy for me. Strange women is another story-LOL. Almost everyone was in groups, and I did not feel comfortable just barging in. I was hoping for a larger bar like setting. The bar that was there was small and usually it was occupied by the few girls available. I am sure my unease at initiating talk with people I do not know played a significant role in my lack of success with regards to this issue. So it was kind of initiation by fire. I have actually never travelled abroad without friends or family. But the moment you leave the New Garden, there are plenty of girls trying to chat you up. The owner Lorenzo does not exude warmth, but he does run a tight ship. One of the girls kind of barged in to see me, as she was late couple of hours for our date due to oversleeping, and when I returned with her from the bar early in the morning security would not let her in, on an order from Lorenzo. I thought this was shit, as he should have consulted me first. I met Rick from Rocky's briefly and he appears to be so much more of an affable and approachable person. Lorenzo really takes himself too seriously. I have to admit though that the nightly dinner specials were fantastic. The food was really good. I do not think I will return to NG next time, as it was poor value for me at $67 US per night (with discount and cash) during low season. I would consider one of Rocky's or other establishments in the future. More of an apartment / condo setting. Solo travel turned out to be an enlightening and interesting experience. I would do it the same way next time.
Sosua, the hustle and the food.
Some of the older posts described the place as a shithole. I do not think so. I found it charming and the beach was really nice with fine sand and blue / green water. Also, everything one wanted was available. The people were mostly nice and the hustle was relatively low key compared to some of the places I have visited. One 'NO thank you' was enough. Also, around the bar zone I felt safe and secure at night, and never used a money belt or zipped up pocket. Many restaurants can be found on the main strip and the beach with all kinds of good western food available. And the booze is cheap. I preferred rum based drinks as El Presidente is just your plain old pilsner. I was also surprised how few people smoked.
I will describe the bar scene and the chicas in my next post.
What makes Sosua special is everyday is better then any Saturday nite anywhere in the US. When you spend your money you do not want a possible good time. You want to know that it is on. Sosua will not let you down 7 days a week.
Iam not paying cabs that kind of money. I fly into SD. I spend day there and enjoy the evening. I have male and female friends there to hang out with. I hit the bus station at 10 am and arrive in Sosua by 3. The ride is pleasant and I get in to Sosua with plenty of time to prepare for the evening. The key is enjoy the journey. Sometimes you can meet chicas on the bus and you can get a little rest from your flight. Most days not much goes on between 10 and 2 so the trip on the bus is a positive.I agree fly into SD, but I get a rental for about 35 dollars per day upgraded. Its about 2 and a half hour drive if you don't stop to sight see. My friend set a record 2 hours last month!

A couple of months ago I was checking direct flights for August. From NY to POP it was a whopping $850. Can't imagine what other guys would pay elsewhere in the country, and may not get a direct flight. The girls know when there are less mongers. But even with an abundance of mongers more and more average chicas (5. 6 & 7, s) arent getting enough or any business. They find themselves sitting around for hours at a time or deciding to walk around hoping they will find a client. A lot of mongers only look for action at night, and thats when the competition with chicas is fierce. Average chicas have to compete with the 8, s & up for business.
Another factor that may apply. I think a lot of mongers see too many of the same girls, or girls they have already been with. The same ones their boys have been with. Poor performance and or experiencing problems have finally caught up to certain chicas. How do you find Santiago vs. Sosua? I'm unfamiliar with Santiago and just barely scratching the surface with Sosua. I can imagine Santiago having more chicas since it's the second largest city but it must be more a little more difficult to reel them in as opposed to Sosua, unless I'm completely wrong there.

Having said that, that doesn't mean I may not be able to meet regular chicas there on another night. I may be there this week and this time with an amigo wingman. The major difference as far as going out in sti vs Sosua? Many of the women in sti have the money to go to a restaurant / bar. Many pull up in their own cars. A lot of the women in Sosua or those that come to Sosua are poorer, and most don't own or drive cars. Their poorer circumstances may make them chicas more approachable and ready for action. Whereas the Santiago chicas you find in a bar or restaurant may be more of a challenge, especially if you don't speak spanish. They may not want to come off as being too easy, or be perceived as a puta.
Ironically, many of the chicas that you find in Sosua come from Santiago to hustle. The trick is, how do you find these p4p chicas in Santiago when you are in Santiago? So far the only thing that has worked for me in sti, is one 40 yr old dom cupid chica I'm not really interested in, and my blonde chica that I met in Sosua but she lives in sti. Many of the dom cupid chicas are stressing that they are looking for something serious. And if they sense you're not they may not bite. Plus one must strike quickly because these women are usually sending messages to several guys at one time. You wait a week to respond to an interested chica and you may not get a response because she's already on some other cat.

As a matter of fact, I'm still praying for Club 69's return. It was nothing like sitting on the bar in the Merangue, watching the sexy Chica's arrive in bunches, jumping out of a shared taxi. Wow. And even if the smorgasbord of delightful treats were picked over, After One had some nice left overs to choose from. In the States, I used to often hang in NY, Miami, Vagas, LA and DC, but Sosua tops them all when it comes to partying and pretty women IMO. I'll be back in about a month for my third trip of the 2013, for a month for stress relief. Personally I don't understand how some guys state that they can't take more than a couple of days in Sosua. White is right in the DR. Especially with the poor and rich in the DR. The light Dominicans generally have more money and better jobs. Poor Dominicans associate white with money. A Gringo will be welcomed in most homes in the DR like the coming of Christ. It is a DR dream to marry a gringo and live the good life. Non of this means they are not sincere. Trace that's pretty brave of you to put yourself in front of the camera like that, I would rethink making those videos available, you may want to consider blocking those videos with you in them and keeping your personal life personal.
I know the depression you are going through when you're sitting at the airport waiting to leave and you would give anything to stay, we all go through it. The secret is to always have another monger trip booked and ready so that you know in the back of your mind within a few short weeks you'll be back in paradise somewhere in the world. I was in Sosua about three weeks ago and was depressed as hell about leaving and would of given anything to stay longer but I knew within a couple weeks I was going to make a run to Boys Town in NL was depressed about leaving there yesterday but on Friday I'm leaving for Medellin, the secret is to always have another trip booked before you leave your last trip. Certain rules you have to live your life by, for me it's to never go more than four weeks between a monger trip.
Texas isn't hell, it just feels that way after being in paradise.

I did not realize that by coming to Sosua I would loose most of my common sense and turn into an unneutered old Tom cat. As I already noted less then two hours in Sosua and I was caught up in a threesome with couple of young girls, and spend the night with my first Haitian girl. Interestingly enough I also spent my last morning in Sosua with this same girl. All of the three Haitian girls I entertained were nice and lots of fun, and all three of them seem to have genuine bodies. By this I mean, that few of the Dominican girls I spent time with were not what they seemed. Once they stripped down, the boobs flopped, the stomachs fell out, the stretch marks become evident and their height dropped by several inches. But I have to admit all of the girls were nice to me and I did not feel like being ripped off. Six of the seven nights I spent with different girls and all of them were overnights from D'Latins. One night I got too wasted so I spend it alone. After being advised by the ISG members what the going rate for overnight was, there was never an issue with the money. Unknowingly, I overpaid for the first two nights, but the service was very good so I have no complaints.

I will end the story here, but once she got up after 12:00 am, I got her something to eat, and she offered to drive me around and take me to Caberete beach. I did not follow up on that offer, but it was a pretty decent second day in Sosua.
The second odd experience was this little Dominican girl I liked maybe a little too much. Short, young, sweet, innocent with doe eyed look. According to her friend she was new. I invited her to come for dinner to NG the next evening. Just me, her and my MacBook Air (google translate) , as she did not speak a word of English. After dinner, I suggested we stay in for a little intimate evening, as the lack of sleep and food, and too much alcohol and pussy has taken its toll on me. This has been going on for six straight days. Its not easy being a middle aged monger. So she strips down to her underwear and turns her back to me. WTF I am thinking, so I ask her are we going to have sex or what, and if not why not. She did not answer the question, and I noticed tears coming from her eyes. I am still not sure what happened. Because I liked her I did not get angry at her. I gave her few pesos and send her packing. After I decided that I did not want to spend the night alone I went back to D'Latin, and met up with one of the Haitian girls, I have not sampled yet. i had a feeling i was going to hear a report like yours. when i booked, i was already in sosua on my laptop back in the end of may. next time i will wait, and also keep watching the fares so i can book at the lowest price. and fly into pop.i was eyeing the jfk to pop flights (jetblue) from maybe early april / may. when it gets toward the end of the week airfares goes up. after monday / tuesday, the airlines compete and prices goes down. airlines know the holiday and peek time for travelers. the last week in augusto, which i have done in the past (6yrs ago-to dr) , can be a strangle hold on your wallet. i usually go 2 weeks before the end of augusto (labor day) , to avoid the peak travel time. then on my return trip back to nyc come back about 2 weeks after labor day to again avoid peak travel time. the funny thing about when i booked my airfare, was that i was on the internet about maybe 2 or 3 am and i saw the flight go down to $483. 00 and that's including taxes with a $50. 00 upgrade for exit row ($25 each way) and i literally jumped for my credit card. the funny thing about that next day, i saw that same airfare without upgrade or taxes jumped to over $650. 00 (base price). i'm looking forward to my stay in dr. 1 month of fun in the sun. what is a guy supposed to do puerto plata & sosua. i don't know. maybe i will just bring a book to read and mind my own business, i don't know. i'll see. peace, love & happiness, senor aqua man

At one time, as I remember, it was upstairs closer to the beach than where it is now, but on the same side to where. It was also in the building now used by El Toro, which is what they are referring to.

This is the place on the same side of Classicos and Merengue Bar next to the German bar where all of the Haitians hang out at. Not D'Latins which is across the street on the same side as Rumbas.
Incidentally, Willy used to own Latinos too. He sold it to some Canadians during the 2011 crackdowns, then threw up a new spot (D'Latins) right across the street from his new competitors, lol!

What do you mean by smoke. Cigars or weed. This is a sensitive subject because weed is illegal here and very illegal in the DR for some reason. Sosua is the best place I have ever been to have a buzz. It is easy and safe to walk around in. The music makes for a great atmosphere and yes the women. My dancing when buzzed is very good. Never the less if you ever have problem which I think is very remote it would be a night mare. I was surprised that so few DR girls smoked but all the Haitianas did.

So I've been back about a week now and found some interesting things out about the girl in my pics and youtube video. Figured I would share my experiences in Sosua with the community. Sosua is definitely a great mongering destination in Central America. I went there earlier in the year before the closing of Passions. A bit of a shame that as it was a good pricing index for the town. Was my first time there.
Pros:
ST can be as low as 1500 DOP for cute chicas (managed that a few times. Only exception was 1700. What a waste). I felt like I could have gotten cheaper. During daytime if you like a girl, have a beer with her and then just tell her how much you'll pay her on your way back to your place. Don't be afraid to lowball, especially in daytime. I felt I should have offered 800 pesos for 1.5-2 hours. Instead I spent about 1500 + 100 tipping like a dumb gringo for her moto concho.
Rick (owner of Rockys) is a great guy and mongers are very friendly, including the black guys that I met.
You can find some hot girls amongst the crowd.
Decent beach and nice prices on accommodations and food. Overall very affordable.
Good internet access available.
Cons:
A ton of ugly girls and fat girls who are not classy and come and grab you. Sometimes it can be really hard to find a cute chica that you feel made it worth it for you to fly for 5 hours to fuck. You can spend 45 minutes seeing the same fat ass girls moving around in a weird circle on Pedro Clisante and frustrated.

Figured I would share my experiences in Sosua with the community. * Sosua is definitely a great mongering destination in Central America* I went there earlier in the year before the closing of Passions. A bit of a shame that as it was a good pricing index for the town. Was my first time there.
A ton of ugly girls and fat girls who are not classy and come and grab you. Sometimes it can be really hard to find a cute chica that you feel made it worth it for you to fly for 5 hours to fuck. You can spend 45 minutes seeing the same fat ass girls moving around in a weird circle on Pedro Clisante and frustrated.

For example in Puerto Plata one will have to enter the walled cities of the Field of Dreams or Blackbeards, rather than simply sitting on the wall along the Malecon, and in Sosua, I'm not sure what will prevail, but perhaps a couple of large chica bars plus a club or two like CMP. Of course more of it may go online too, as in the USA. Things may get a bit harder for the short-time aficionados and weekend warriors, while remaining the same for the more relationship-oriented traveler.

I have just become accustomed to this through flights and rewards points as these are basically the regions that the airlines build their pricing structure on.
