After 30 days in the DR how long do you have to leave the country to be legal to come back.

How did you get $120 ticket? I fly from ft Lauderdale to santo domingo and I never saw such a low round trip ticket price.The flight was on sale for $240. But my Travel budding gave me some miles to get it down to $120.
In Sosua now. Trip started with flight to Santiago to take advantage of very good fare on Delta. It seems all flights land there middle of the night. Went to Alamo counter to claim reserved car. Guy told me no car available. Got pissed and gave him piece of my mind saying I will complain to Alamo. Initially he tried to shoo me off but later relented and his co worker dropped me at a nice hotel. Cost $60/ night. In the morning lady from Santiago office called and said my car is ready. So they picked me up from the hotel and I got a nice fairly new car well upgraded. Drive to Sosua was good.
I had reserved a room at the D, Pierro but when I went there and looked at the room did not like it at all. Very small with bed filling the whole room. Refused the room and they showed me one of the apartments on ground floor. The hotel is on a side street and I did not feel safe parking the car there although the they said they have security cameras there.
Next stop is Europa. They had one room and wanted me to come back after 4 pm. Went to Casa cayena and they gave me a nice room. Room is spacious and clean. Only issue is they give only 3 towels. With all the showering going on I wished they would give more. Went to supermarket and stocked essentials like water, beer and snacks.
Wanted to take sex edge of and went driving around. Saw this young 19 year old with one C section baby. Total GFE and tight pussy. Girl was real horny and did BBBJ and anal rimming for a long time. I have read 500 post on dr1 pertaining to the subject of visas and so forth and have not got the answer I need. I realize that you can get a 60 day visa but it seems it might be easier to go to Puerto Rico or Haiti for purposes of leaving to re enter. The thing I want to know do you have to stay across the board for a certain amount of time or is it a half day thing and you back. I know some of you guys have the answer Thanks in advance.

It is easy to rent a car. In your case a van is better so that you can pack your friends and chicas. Personally I always rent a car. Why you ask? I do not confine myself to Sosua mongering. Never sat on the back of a sweaty smelly guy, s back. Some of the cabs are beat up and you will have a problem if it conks.
With the freedom of your personal car you can go anywhere. If you are used to major cities driving in US you should be fine. I go to cabarets discos, puerto plata bars, BB etc. Even when I park in Sosua I tip the guy there 50 pesos and he makes sure the car is fine. I have picked up chicks on the road, have stopped by local watering holes. You will be surprised how friendly local guy, s are. One lady even suggested me taking her daughter.
If you are into sightseeing nicer to have a car. Take some chicks with you. I have done this in Costa Rica as well with visits Arenal, rain forest tour etc. Have even gone to Chicas houses in DR.

Overall I benefited from renting one but I have heard horror stories about the incidents when you get into an accident. Being in DR you will be the one at fault. Good target for locals, police, their relatives, neighbors, pets, dogs, and chickens to extract money from you.

Since November last, the fees have increased significantly. The escalating rates are posted on every counter in the immigration area. When you leave the country, the clock is reset. You are free to return any time you want. As an example, over 3 months but less than 4 is about 4000 pesos. Ten years will set you back 70,000. There is a counter in the far right where you pay and the info will appear in the other agents monitors who will stamp your passport. Last time I left, Feb. 27th, there were some computer glitches in the new installed procedure but it should be running fine now.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I would never rent a car in a foreign country because of the obvious. I've been known to have a cocktail or 2 or 3 and that combined with the fact that I am the foreigner, liability will obviously fall on me. I have 5 friends with me on this trip. And thanks to the help received on this forum through PM. Got hooked up with a wonderful Driver and nice Van. When we arrive and depart from the Airport and take our Day Trips to Cabrete or Black Beards or FOD we are covered.
Like many questions raised here, the answer to this question can be summarized in one word - depends.

Drove by Playa Dorada. Very sad to see many of the resorts closed. I remember the good times I had staying at those resorts and hitting and sometimes succeeding bedding European girls. Boy, do they drink and fuck good!

I told her that she was wasting her time and would be wasting my money in the process. She just lost her job at a Tire Shop, she doesn't have a college education, doesn't own a home or have any real money in the bank. I explained that once the people at the embassy look over her situation, they will not grant her a visa because she has no reason to go back to her country.
She swears up and down that one of her friends got a tourist visa last month and that it is much easier to get a visa now than it was 5 years ago. She said all they asked the girl during the interview was "who would you be staying with and will they pay for your food and expenses.Then she got a 10 yearVisa.
She has been begging me every day for the past week to help her with the process so she can come to America. I told her, I don't want to do it because if I sign any paperwork and she decides to stay and not go home, then I don't know what kind of legal or financial ramifications I could face.

With a car there's million things to think about, rentals, insurance, damage, vandalism, parking and just the time and hassle involved when they don't have your car ready.
I set a record almost every visit. 15 minutes after exiting the airport I'm in my favorite bar in Sosua with my beautiful girl, having a Presidente. Heaven!
I got one risky behavior I wish I could tame though. I spend a lot of time on motoconchos locally, but sometimes as far as La Union and Charamicos, sometimes with 4 big shopping bags hanging out, GF in the middle, and no hands holding on!
I think of it as my Six Flags theme park ride on a roller coaster. Must be the beer. :)

Perhaps it is technically a fiancé visa and it might have some silly fine print that holds you responsible for everything but she promised it wouldn't cost you. Besides that, Dominican Chica's are ever so grateful once they are in the US you have nothing to worry about.

But if your girl can't even pay that, how is she going to pay for a ticket or anything else once she arrives?
You are not claiming responsibility for anyone. You are just saying that they are coming to you as per the following example sent to me by my ex girlfriend. This was 7 years ago. Since then everyone that I have made this type of letter for has gotten a visa (I only change the name and passport number and the embassy info according to the country). That is not to say they would not have gotten one without the letter. Keep in mind that none of them were hookers nor unemployed. This particular lady sold condos in Panama. Anyway, here is the example that she sent me:

In the Philippines the rule is "Love them. But leave them where you find them". I'm more than sure that is an International Mongering Rule. The US may be a great country, but once your Chica steps foot in this country she somehow becomes a Liberated Free Woman with American Woman Values. Not a good thing.

For those of you thinking of driving through the mountain road short cut between Sosua and Santiago be carefull. Definitely not the road to take at night because of full of potholes. Daytime is ok if you are a good driver and know how to drive on bad roads. I have had plenty of experience.
You can take road via Puerto Plata which is better. Only problem is you need to overtake slow moving trucks sometimes in blind spots. I am good at white knuckle driving.

The former is much more permanent and has to be washed in situ. The latter can be removed much more easily.

Flight was out of SAN to POP on AA for $750 and change. Flights were pretty much on time and with no issues. I really hate the red eye flight, especially topped with the 6 hour layover in Miami. I will no longer do the flight. Next time, I will fly into Miami earlier, get an hotel for the night, then leave for POP in the following afternoon.
Hotel:
For the sixth time, I stayed at Casa Cayena. Wilfried met me at the airport; as usual. The place is off the main road, kind of tucked in the back towards the semi private beach. The place is extremely quiet and well kept. Wilfried is still offering breakfast and dinner included in the room rate. I only ate breakfast there twice, but I did have dinner on four nights. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was excellent! Room security was never an issue. I left out my laptop and surface pad daily without any issues. The entire staff is professional and overall outstanding. I will continue to stay there.
Money:
I got lazy and just exchanged money at the hotel, the rate was 43+ change. The rest of the time I abused the ATM machines and vice-versa.
Cell Phone:
I went back to Orange and my SIM card was still valid from last August. I put 400 pesos of minutes on the card, which was plenty enough.
Food:
Besides eating at Casa Cayena, I ate at other spots. I had the ribs at the Scandinavian place on the beach. They were the best ribs I've ever had in Sosua! Also the steak tenderloin with peppercorn sauce was outstanding! I had that 3 times during my stay. I also ate at several food tray places, like at Rumba's and a couple down the road; all were very good. Ollie's was open, but he no longer serves the greatest sandwich in Sosua, so I had his chicken instead, which is quite good. Movida was closed.
The Beach:
Because Herman's was closed, I started hanging out at Fast Freddie's. I saw very few cops and a good amount of working girls walking up and down the beach.
The Clubs:
Rumba still had the best game in town; but the girls came out later than usual. The club was full just about every night. Classicos was open, but did not go in the place this trip. The new after spot is Club X, across the street from Classicos, stopped in there a couple of times; nice place.
Women:
It really helped to have established contacts. As soon as I left my hotel to go to Orange, one of my FB girls was standing outside the hotel with a friend; Happy Hour! I spent some time with a few new girls, but also some time with my previous girls. Sosua IS NOT dried up, as some would have you believe. There are still plenty of girls available. Our experiences are parallel but I have spent half my time in Santo Domingo. Everything you said is correct. Sosua is very alive.
Aside from the lovely young girls which are wonderful the food, clubs and beaches all provide excellent diversion. Everything is a bargain. I pay $40 a night for lodging. Good food can be found everywhere. It takes a little time to figure out what women to avoid. However most are very pleasant and try to please.

Over about a year and a half she was trying to get a visa for Canada. I was helping. The attitude at the consulate was that unless she had property, family or assets in back in the DR, and money to draw on in an emergency, there was nothing really to stop her just melting into Canada's generous welfare system. Once they are there they don't send them back, unless they commit some serious crime.
She lives quite a way from SD where the Canadian Consulate is housed, close to the Haitian border, so she was traveling there and they had her waiting, sometimes all day with the papers they seemed never to get enough of. I went to see them twice, but they had me waiting so long it was insulting.
We did finally get a visa for her, but the flight was cancelled due to Hurricane and I had only a small window of time at home to host her, so I told her to forget it, as I was down there often enough anyway.
Anyway over the period the money I put in her bank account, and for the return ticket gradually got used up for traveling and just day to day living. She used what was left over for a visa to the States to see her young son.
I came to the conclusion that bringing her to Canada long term without her cultural network, language, family, friends, food etc, would be a big mistake. She's a very connected person in DR.
And at my age I didn't want to take that responsibility on.

Suffice it to say that the girls prefer the highest quality human hair (I have never heard anyone claim the hair was from a virgin) and they like it weaved in. The weave is usually done by the person who sells the hair, which can be purchased on the street or at a salon and can range dramatically in price. Last time, I paid 2000 DOP for hair. I was not terribly happy about the price I was originally quoted (3000) and negotiated a reduction against the wishes of my chica (who was probably splitting some of the proceeds with the vendor). There was far more expensive hair available (at this particular vendor, you could easily spend 6000 DOP).
In my situation, buying hair was an alternative for of payment for a girl who maintained the fiction that she is a non-pro. The sex, by the way, was very good.

Everywhere you might want to go, from Rio San Juan in one direction to Damajagua in the other is strung out along the North Coast Highway with frequent and cheap public transport. If you want to visit the central areas like La Vega and Jarabacoa, or Samana in the East, then, yes, a car may be worthwhile. With a group of guys to share the costs, a rental car, with or without driver, is more cost effective than for a single person.
I would avoid trying to do too much on your first trip. You will lose the best part of two days travelling to and from SD. There is plenty to see and do in Sosua, Puerto Plata and Cabarete to fill the remaining days. You will hopefully find one or two nice semi-pros you will want to hang with for a couple of days, maybe spend a couple at Blackbeards, and leave space to hook up with other mongers for outings and parties.

Sosua is now my primary target. If I decide to just stay in easy reach of Sosua, I will stick with public transport. If I feel the urge to wander further afield, I'll rent a car for 3 days, drive to some interesting sites, spend the night somewhere off the standard monger map, repeat, then return to Sosua.
For me, I don't consider the trip from and back to SD lost time. There will be new scenery and people to watch. If I had the time and money, I'd load up a jeep and spend a month or two exploring the country. Over about a year and a half she was trying to get a visa for Canada. I was helping. The attitude at the consulate was that unless she had property, family or assets in back in the DR, and money to draw on in an emergency, there was nothing really to stop her just melting into Canada's generous welfare system. Once they are there they don't send them back, unless they commit some serious crime.
She lives quite a way from SD where the Canadian Consulate is housed, close to the Haitian border, so she was traveling there and they had her waiting, sometimes all day with the papers they seemed never to get enough of. I went to see them twice, but they had me waiting so long it was insulting.
We did finally get a visa for her, but the flight was cancelled due to Hurricane and I had only a small window of time at home to host her, so I told her to forget it, as I was down there often enough anyway.
Anyway over the period the money I put in her bank account, and for the return ticket gradually got used up for traveling and just day to day living. She used what was left over for a visa to the States to see her young son.
I have as much fun as you with my chicas, but I leave it all behind once I board that plane back to the States.

Most of the items were cheap gag gifts, plus a few clothing items. A few weeks later, I get a package from her, with several gifts, a few months later, for my birthday, she sends more gifts. When I finally get to visit Bogota to meet her, I bring along several little gifts and she shows up with a Colombian Tiple for me. I play some guitar. The tiple is like a ukulele on steroids. She bought me lunch twice, paid for my transmilenio fare a few times and brought me some food items to bring home with me.
I could have taken a different path with her, played her the right way, and probably would have gotten her into my bed, and that would have been the end of the story. Instead, I ended up with a friend. As a bonus, I got a friend with lots of young and beautiful friends, who is happy to hook me up, next time I visit. I can live with that.

As for the squalor and poverty, it sounds just like Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana, just a few rungs further down the ladder. But, I've met some interesting people in the most unlikely places. If I was fluent, I would probably search out those places, just to hear the stories.
But, that won't happen this trip. I just got my confirmation from Wilfried. I have a standard room at Casa Cayena for April 21,22 and 23, and a bungalow for April 25,26 and 27. For the 24th I might head out of Sosua for a night, or I will spend one night somewhere else.
While I still might rent a car for a day or two, it is much less likely now.

Ok, I like and respect the wisdom of pretty much everyone I am reading about so I am going to avoid the war!
Pricing that I am seeing in the ground (weekend price. Don't know if by Tuesday it will be different.).
At the clubs at night you are going to get the highest rate. Hot Rumbas girls (there are a shitload!) ask you what you want to pay.
I am starting at 1500. Most want at least 2500. Then they want tip and Moto charge. Too much! Some will work with you and some will not. I pulled what I felt would have been a really solid 9 in the beach in Miami and had her for 2500 plus moto 200 pesos. Worth it to me, (65 bucks) but of course some said down here I over paid. For the most part, people are saying it works. But I was reading about the belly injection. Seems to be that you can use the same injection pens that diabetics use. Don't know how effective the nasal version is though.

I become dedicated to my workouts when I know I am going to the DR. I want to be at my best so I can enjoy the chicas.
So I lift and do cardio with a smile on my face. It pays off in many ways. If you look and act fit the girls seem to enjoy being with you more.

First, thanks for whoever told me to bring a jacket for the bus. I probably would have stuck it in my suitcase, except for that advice.
There was a minor problem at the Metro ticket window. When I first arrived, the woman had a bit of an attitude and told me I had to wait for the 4 pm bus. No problem, I sat until about 1, before I went back up to buy my ticket. I don't know if what happened was an attempt to scam me, or an honest mistake. I handed the woman with the attitude a 1000 peso note. She kept asking me for 90 pesos, apparently she didn't have change. Finally she handed me 110 pesos back, instead of 610. I had to argue for a few minutes, she insisted I had given her 500. Finally she made a big show of counting all of her money, adding it all up and checking against her computer. In the end she gave me a pissed off glare along with my 500 pesos.
The ride was decent, sat with 2 guys who have spent some time here, helped pass the time and we had a few laughs. I walked down to Sosua Suites and was checked in 10 minutes later.
I got myself situated, walked over to Rocky's for a really good sandwich, then down to Rumbas for another beer and to check out the scene. I found a good spot to stand and watch for awhile and to practice my Spanish. I got a few chances to say "no, gracias". By the time I finished my beer, I wasn't feeling the magic, but I was feeling the effects of a long day, so I decided to pass on any action tonight. Tomorrow will be a good day.

I don't think anyone really knows. The chances of a man getting it from a woman are probably pretty low, but I would refer you to two words, "Magic" and "Johnson". I guess it's time for an update.
First night, Wednesday, was a wash for me. I checked out Rumbas for awhile, but wasn't feeling any irresistible urges. Plus, one chica kept trying to latch onto me and she was a major turn off. If she was back in Indy, I would suspect either meth or Crack was a major part of her diet.

I could tell she was sincere in her arguement. I speak almost fluent Spanish, but I guess she only understands fluent Dominican, hence the misunderstanding.
As many guys have said before it is a good idea to only negotiate short time when you meet someone; that way you don't get into the mixup that has always been my only problem with girls in Sosua. Also not a bad idea to get them to write the amount and until what time they will stay. None of that vague it is up to you and whatever time you like stuff.

As long as I pulled out $200 or more I came out ahead after fees.
