Most cab drivers have no idea where GBP is. Tell the driver to take Bolivar to Lincoln and make a right. Take Avenida Lincoln to 27 de febrero and make a right. Proceed on 27 de febrero to the large car dealership just past the gas station.I did that route in the early afternoon with Greek Niko in the car. Took Pasteur north to Bolivar and made a left on Bolivar.

It took almost an hour to get to GBP. The traffic crawled on Bolivar. In the future I might take the Malecon to Avenida Lincoln. Traffic on Lincoln is oftentimes slow.

Excellent photos to help a newbie find GBP.

A funny and painful experience while going upstairs with Panman to GBP: I hit the point I marked with an arrow with my head. I was talking to him and going up at the same time so I hit hard my head to concrete. A few minutes later Waleska and Kenia healed my pain.

You must have been in rush hour traffic (3-6pm) as I can always do that trip in 15 minutes or less. I once had a cabbie take me there and he zig zagged through the back streets and got there in about 10 minutes. The driver took Bolivar to Alma Mater and made a right. The first main intersection before 27 he made a left. At the third block he made a right and that put us right on the small street where GBP sits on the corner.

....If I go out during the day or night, sometimes I will have 25 US one dollar bills in one pocket. 25 bills is a little thick so I can feel and know those are the single one dollar bills in one pocket......
Wow, I don't know where you are going but what would you need that much tipping money for? Although you may like the $1 bill tips I can't be bothered. A 20, 50 pesos bill or a 25 peso coin is just as good and the recepient doesn't have to be bothered changing the $1 bill into pesos. I don't see the reason why a Dominican would prefer a $1 bill as a tip. Loose coins are always good to tip the maid or anyone as they can easily use the coins to take a publico or make a small purchase at their local colmado. What they gonna do with a $1 bill?

I do know that after driving around in the heat and stopping at some store to buy a small bottle of coca cola and paying for it with a 1000 peso bill (because I had no smaller bills), I have had to wait sometimes while the cashier went and searched for change.

25 peso coin is about the size of a US Half Dollar coin. I usually never have 20 or 50 peso bills. I don't like walking around in 85 degree heat with a pocketful of coins.

You know Santo Domingo. For a newbie to SDQ to tip some people, what amounts to minimal money, so that his experience is smoother with less headaches, I don't see a problem with it.

If a guy changes hotels, there will be different hotel people to tip. If a guy goes to a restaurant where a waiter takes the order and serves the food, a small tip to the waiter is appreciated. If a guy goes to a casa and a chica gives the guy a lap dance, a small 2-3 dollar is appreciated. If a guy drinks at a bar for a few hours and uses the same waiter, a tip is appreciated.

My car tire blew out on the highway and some Dominican guys offered to change the tire, I gave those guys dollar bills from the bills I had in my pocket. Many times at night, if I go to a bar or disco there are guys outside the place who will watch the car, 1-2 dollars for them is sufficient.

I know the value of a dollar bill, as such I know what kind of tip I am giving when I use dollar bills. At times I don't want to have to do the mental arithmetic of converting 20 pesos or 25 pesos or 50 pesos or 100 pesos to US dollars and then figuring if a 20, 25, 50 or 100 pesos is an appropriate tip.

All the Dominicans with whom I gave US one dollar bills were happy to get that money.

My new girl does not like early morning sex (she is not to be my girl for long, as I like 3 am sex, 5 am sex and 7 am sex). I read that GBP is open 24 hours a day. I was wondering if anyone has ever been at GBP at 7 am? Is there a real selection at that time?

My mind must be playing tricks on me!!! I could have sworn I read this.

Any thoughts of where to find 7 am sex? The last time I tried, I picked up some girl on the Malecon, but she was so tired I would have been better off using my hand!

I used to pick up girls at the casas and insist, as part of the deal, that they gave me a departing BBBJ. However, a fair number of them simply tried to leave at 4-5 am without the going away present to me and I got exhausted with this approach.

How about 100 pesos and larger left pants pocket, 50 and 20 pesos (tip money) right pants pocket?

I have nothing against tipping as I do it all the time. I just would not suggest to a newbie or anyone to make a special trip to the bank to bring 50 $1 bills as tips. Sure a Dominican or anyone would accept the dollar bill and be thankful but pesos are much easier to use for a local. To me handing out $1 bills just sends a message, yo...... north american tourist here.

At a restaurant you generally get change in pesos you can use for a tip. During the day you will get enough coins in change to leave for the maid. A flat tire tip the guy 100 pesos bill. Last few trips I have gotten away from using USD completely. I paid pesos for the airport cab and pesos for my hotel. In both cases I ended up paying a little less by using pesos.

In my experience, they open at 1 pm but if you get there at that time, there are just a few chicas and most are still putting on their faces.

Arrived yesterday afternoon, and I'm at the Jaguar. Yesterday was a holiday and real rainy.

About 1 a.m., I went out for food. I walked down Independencia to 305 and didn't see a single chica in the street. First time, I ever felt uneasy walking around the area at night.

I stopped in to say hi to Ronnie and El Gato, and there was a shitload of hot chicas in 305. From there, I walked down past Maison Gatrieux to the Malecon and past the obelisk to the food court. After getting tacos and quesadillas from the mexican restaurant there (pretty good for the DR), I walked back up the Malecon to the Jaragua and again didn't see a single chica in the street. When I crossed Independencia again, a 4x police pickup slowly passed by with a couple of cops in the back checking out the street and I heard her a couple chicas inside bitching amd moaning.

I'll report again tonight but it appears the time they are a'changing. Sorry Greydread.

Yeah, that Mexican stand in the plaza is pretty good. Just don't get their margaritas. There is also a food place in the rear of the plaza, i forget the name, that sells pretty good cuban sandwiches for 125 pesos.

Please report back on the street action later tonight. If you get a chance also check out the colmado across from Navarro to see if any chicas are hanging out there.

I haven't asked, but I have a feeling the cashier at the casino probably will not give 20 or 50 peso bills. I am not going into a Dominican bank and wait in line to ask for 20 or 50 peso bills. I can quickly and easily get 50 US one dollar bills from my bank in the States, before my trip.

I am as white as wonder bread, if Dominicans can only tell I am from the US from using dollar bills, well that would be a surprise.

I will not walk around with half dollar size coins in my pocket. If I know I have a bunch of dollar bills in one pocket, none of my money has to be exposed if I want to give a person a dollar or two. I don't have to stop and take all my money out of my pocket and search for a 20 or 50 peso bill. If I am going to be a target in DR, I will be a moving target, they won't find me stopped on the sidewalk looking through my money for a 20 or 50 peso bill (in a dark place after many drinks, see how fast you can differentiate the denominations of pesos).

More than one time when I only had 1000 peso bills and bought a coca cola, I had to wait while while the cashier went in search of change for the 1000 peso bill. Same thing has happened with taxi drivers, just about always they never have change. For me saving or conserving the 50 or 100 peso bills for times when I need to pay for a taxi or a bottle of coca cola, is easier for me.

I need to wait online at some money exchange place and exchange my dollars to pesos, so I can make a Dominican's life easier by giving them a tip using pesos? sorry, I am not that nice. A dollar bill is better than nothing.

I drove over to GBP on a Sunday and they were closed. I also arrived at GBP at around 1:30pm during the week and they were closed. Chicas do not live on site at GBP.

For 24/7 places you need the casas where the chicas live on site. The manager at casa de modelos, near the hilton hotel told me they were open 24/7. I was told the same thing at the Mansion in zona oriental (near carretera mella).

Pink Pony (previously known as A-1 Divas) on Avenida Nunez Caceres, says on their business card they are open 24/7.

Chicas live on site at those three places.

Coppa stays open late, sometimes to 5am or later, same for LED disco in hotel hispaniola on the weekends. Usually there are some street walkers out at around 5am.

I'll report again tonight but it appears the time they are a'changing. Sorry Greydread. The chicas always adapt, they will probably be in the casinos and off the streets for the time being. The police will have to search for other avenues of revenue and eventually the chicas will return to the streets.

The police will not f_ck with the casinos. Each casino has to give a certain amount of cash every month to the Dominican government. I don't see the casino owners allowing the police into the casinos to harass the pro chicas. The casino owners might be happy with more pro chicas in their casinos, as that will attract more male customers into the casinos.

I appreciate these posts on money. At least on the north coast they seem to have a real shortage of small bills at times. They give you candies instead of small change at the supermarket. I have tended toward the all peso two pocket system but am usually short of small bills. ATM's tend to give 1000 or 2000 peso notes as do cambios.
In the big cities can you get stacks of small denominations from a bank like you could in the US? On the US $1 system I agree with both points - I'd rather use 20 or 50 peso notes but they are often scarce. I don't want to end up using 100 peso notes as tips because it's excessive.

I'd always meant to ask if anybody knew a reliable source of small bills.

I'd always meant to ask if anybody knew a reliable source of small bills.I can remember at Classicos in Sosua when they would give small fake color copied 50 peso notes in a plastic laminate.

In Santo Domingo there is the same problem, lack of low denomination bills.

I know my bank in New York will not give change to a person who does not have an account at the bank. I don't know whether banks in the Dom Rep are the same.

For a newbie who may or may not speak Spanish, to go into a Dominican bank and wait in line and then try to explain that he wants 20 or 50 peso notes, takes effort and patience.

The Dominican government introduced the 20 peso note which is a good thing. A 20 peso tip is sufficient for many things. I have not been in DR since the 20 peso bill came out.

I tip only in pesos and I'm now very cheap, by US standards (just like the rest of the dominicans). Once, I was stopped at a light going los alcarrizos (SP) very northern part of SD and there are a group of window washing kids, very entertaining and although pushy I get a kick out of them. Once, I did not have any change, normally I give 5 or 10 pesos, but this time I was very entertained and gave 1 dollar. Wow the fan fare over gettting a us dollar was hysterical. Well worth the overtip.

Thank you all for the info but I do have one question and that is do the girls and others take dollars. I was under the impression that I would have to exchange and only use pesos. Now my question is do I need to keep some american cash? You can negotiate prices with chicas in pesos, dollars or euros. I have in the past paid chicas using dollars, depends what is more convenient for me.

Generally, usually best to pay in pesos.

After numerous rep dom trips I have also adapted to the Dominican way of tipping.

Who and how much are you guys tipping?

If I take a taxi from the airport I will pay the 1000 pesos and give the driver a 50 pesos note to cover his toll going back.

At restaurants like Pacos, Dumbos, La Cafetera, Pizzareli, and others on El Conde I very, very seldom leave anything.

I usually carry my own luggage to my room at the hotel but if someone gives me a hand a 50 pesos note.

I always look out for the maids and these ladies recieve special attention. I try to give them 50 to 100 pesos a day when I see them in the hallway. I also think of them when out grocery shopping and bring them a treat back. When I go out to get my morning orange juice I usually bring them one back.

I do very little if any drinking at the casas or the few chica bars so not much tipping there. Most of my drinking is done sitting at the plastic table at the colmados so no tipping there.

I stopped giving the PN beer money. They have to have the handcuffs out before they get anything from me.

Shoeshine kids and window washers vary from day to day.

For me, all in all there aren't too many occasions that arise where tipping is necessary or expected.

50 pesos or 2 dollars.

Most of the times I pick, talk and go so most times no service no tip. I left 50 pesos on 305 on my last trip.

The car rental guys at the airport get a tip. One guy takes my bags from the counter and puts them in the rental car, the car has been started and has the air conditioning blasting when I get to the car. The guy who inspects the car for any pre-existing damage, gets a tip. Overall I have had no trouble receiving or returning cars at Las Americas Airport (SDQ).

Depending where I stay, will determine other people who may receive a tip. If I stay in an apartment, the security in the lobby will get a tip. After chicas have visited me at the apartment, I ask the guy in the lobby to call a taxi for the chica, he will get a dollar tip.

If I stay in a bigger hotel, I will usually drive my car to the front door and unload the luggage and then park the car. My luggage will be loaded onto a wheeled cart and a worker will take that cart with my luggage to my room after I have checked in, that worker will get a tip.

Discos, Bars and Restaurants that I visit at night with my car, there will usually be guys out in the street that will help you get a spot and will assist you in parking the car and will watch the car. This has happened outside Coppa on the Malecon in Santo Domingo, outside Praia Disco in SDQ, outside Kuka Macara restaurant in Santiago, outside Las Colinas Rancho Tipico in STI, outside Francifol in STI, outside Cacique in La Vega, outside Hotel Aurora de Sol on Carretera Mella in SDQ, near Plaza Espana in Zona Colonial at night. If you don't tip those guys in the street, I don't know what they might do. Could they scratch your car while you are inside the bar or club, possibly. For one dollar I can have a little piece of mind that my rental car will probably not be vandalized.

At restaurants and bars I always tip the waiter. I drink at Coppa, Mint, Hard Rock Cafe and Atarazana.

If a chica gives me a nude lap dance and she sticks her tits in my face, I will give her a tip. Last time I was in Pink Pony the tall big chested Santiago chica did a strip show in front of me and stuck her nipples in my mouth. I gave her a tip. Some chicas in GBP will do a strip show with a nude lap dance, sometimes I will give those chicas a tip. The chicas in Showgirls (Juan Dolio) do a nude strip show on the dance platform. One time I was the only customer there, so those chicas got a tip.

Shoe shine kids, one dollar or loose coins (I sometimes see them when I am returning from the Colmado or Supermarket and I may have loose change at that time) and they are happy. I usually see the same shoe shine kids 5 times a day from early afternoon to late at night. One time they told me that my car was open where I had parked in on the malecon, in front of the hotel melia.

I try to keep loose change in the car for the people who will come and wash the windshield. 5 pesos is sufficient for them.

I stopped giving the PN beer money. They have to have the handcuffs out before they get anything from me.

Shoeshine kids and window washers vary from day to day.

For me, all in all there aren't too many occasions that arise where tipping is necessary or expected.

.....If I stay in an apartment, the security in the lobby will get a tip........
I forgot to mention the hotel security guy. This guy can make or break your day. Tipping the security guy guarantees no problem with multiple chicas and the security guy will also not allow a chica in without your prior permission (most times). In a pinch you would be surprised at the little black book with chica's phone numbers the security guy has.

I was looking through Orbitz for Hotels in SDQ. Courtyard by Marriott in Santo Domingo, according to Orbitz will charge an extra $30 per night as some type of service fee. This is in addition to the room rate and the 26% in taxes.

Hilton Hotel in SDQ, also appears to charge an additional service fee per night, that varies from $7-$11 per night.

Marriott owns the Renaissance Jaragua Hotel and Casino and on Orbitz the Renaissance Jaragua does not charge a service fee.

Cahill, I have done bussiness with both and I can not and will not recomend either one.
Alexis is a liar!! Years ago I went to his place on MI in Venezuela and it was nothing of what he told me. He said that it was a resort where the only guest are guys like me!! That was an outright lie!! The place was a resort that familes went to and for the few days I was there was full of kids for camp. The kids always had the pool (which closed at 8:30pm) and there was no escaping them, meal times were just as bad, Alexis is a liar!!
I was last at Total Satisfaction when it was also on MI, the owner Paul Baxter manged to get himself thrown out of Venezuela through a few of his own bone head moves. He moved to Boca Chica in the DR, which he himself has called a s**t hole. He shares his "exclusive" resort with another comapany. A complete waste of money.
There are several other places in the Santo Domingo area, the only one I have been to is Satisfaction plus and in complete good faith, recommend them highly.
Hope this helps.

Heck yes me and my illustrious bastards (you know who you are ) know her and I have her cell if you need it. Although I did not take Jasmine I got her number just in case. Thanks! I still have her cell, but it's been over 2 years since we spoke. 1st hooked up with her there in 06. Am surprised that she's still there. Very rare for a girl to work at any locale for more than 1 year. She had a cousin I think named Jennifer that also worked at GBP with her for a while. She was cute (7.5), chubby, with big natural titties, about 24 y.o. now. I sampled her once, but I preferred Jasmine.[/QUOTE]

I have been to the Total Satisfaction/Periastron Vacations location in Boca Chica twice the latest was December of last year. I would highly recommend the place if you are not concerned about saving money or on a budget. I went through Carlos at Periastron Vacations which used to be Affordable Adult Vacations at one time. Both places share the same location and girls at this time so it might not matter which you choose. At 7 days there is no difference between the two.

The URL is http://www.affordable-adult-vacations.com/index.php

The resort pictured is the actual resort, the girls shown are the ones presented at lineup and the beer and food is free. Well you pay one way or the other if you know what I mean but you can eat/drink all you want while at the resort. The chica also eats/drinks for free so no tipping or buying dinner/drinks like you might at BB.

I have thought about spending a few days there myself this Nov/Dec after spending a week at BB and Sosua. I like the place since you can just sit back and relax and have a good time with the chica you choose.

If you have any specific questions pleas PM me.

In a pinch you would be surprised at the little black book with chica's phone numbers the security guy has.I stayed at the Conde Hotel in Zona Colonial and made sure to make friends with the night security guy as well as the Police Officers on duty in the day. I gave him a patch and a 5 dollar bill whenever I needed a parking spot reserved in front of the hotel. Everytime I returned my nightly spot was there. I gave the Police some US police patches and bought them a coffee, they kept an eye on me and I have some contact numbers for those 'special moments'. Its part of my old school winning hearts and minds strategy.

I used to find myself complaining about things. Most times the things I complained about really didn't matter. If you ever find yourself thinking you got the short end of the stick in life you need to think twice.

I probably get out and about and see a lot more than many posters. If you have never spent time, and I don't mean a five minute stop to pick up your chica, in the barrios or el campo you really just don't know how some people live day to day.

I have often read where guys will make comments on how some people don't have money for this and that but they have money for Presidente. Guys will talk about the chicas being broke but have money for the beauty salon and new clothes. I used to think the same way but I have come to the point to realize these are just some small pleasures in life for many people living in the DR. Actually these small pleasures there are many, many people who don't have that.

Here are a few pics of how some of them fine chicas you see are living when not out and about trying to make some spare change.

The Out House is about fifty feet away from the main house. I am just guessing but maybe six, seven, eight or more people sleep in the main house. The main house is about the size of a two car garage but no where near as nice. Ever walk past a pig pen? Best advice I can give you is bring a clothes pin to clamp on your nose.

Next time you feeling down and out come back and look at these pics again and you will realize the life you got ain't that bad.

I don't know if there is a new business in the house you photographed. Boricua Online has previously posted that sky house used to be a massage place, with sex on the massage tables.

Seldom are the kids in dirty clothes. Poor as people are, men always have some money for beer or rum.

Fortunately I have never had to use one of those outhouses. The one in the photo has no running water so the family walks a quarter mile down the autopista to bathe in the river. Bro as you probably know there are some good looking chicas living in those areas.

I have no idea what happens to the human waste. I can tell you one thing walking past the pig pen smelled a million times worse than the outhouse. Actually I didn't smell any offensive odor what so ever from the outhouse.

My main girl is from the mountains. She is the greatest, but every so often she wants to go visit her parents in el campo. I've slept there once on an air matress that I brought with me. Outhouse, no shower, they do have a well and they were kind enough to boil some water for me so I could bathe, way out in the open, no curtains just balls to the wind. The ground was so wet and muddy, I got dirtier taking the bath.

Slept on the air matress with my novia, in the middle of the night a moth went down my shirt and I freaked. Everyone in the shack was laughing their asses off at me. Through the light under the door I saw rats scurrying around, way too many critters for me.

From now on, when she wants to visit her parents we get up early and come back the same day. I take an immodium so I won't have to use the outhouse.

The funniest thing is her dad told all his neighbor's that I was going to build my house on his property, so I could live their with his daughter. A few weeks later, I was at her cousin's house on the other side of the canyon and they were asking me when was I going to start on the house. LOL.

Damn, it must have been spooky walking on Independencia at night with no one on the avenue. Things just won't be the same. I am sure going to miss checking out them 1,000 pesos chicas.

I would imagine it is no problem if you are walking with a "nice" LOL girl at night. I am going to have to wipe the dust off my phone book for my next trip. First Aurora Bar shuts down and now the SWs, both bargain places. Regardless, the high priced casas still won't be getting my hard earned pesos.

Someone needs to give Australia a call and tell her to stock up with chicas con cedula and GBP will need to extend their hours of operation.

Don't forget about the Piano Bar which is now owned by the same folk as GBP. There were 4 chicas when I was there and one was a hottie. Two others doable for the price which is like GBP. Hours are 2-11 pm.

And you're right about Independencia. That was the first time I ever felt nervous about running around the area on foot in the middle of the night. It was like one of those catastrophe movies where everyone had been killed off. And on the back streets of Gazcue, I was hyper aware whenever a car went by slowly. And I walked girls back to the Jaguar from casas twice and both of them were nervous as well. Kept asking me if it was safe. Between the Police and the ladrones, I really wasn't sure.

The street chicas will just move to a different location, probably inside casinos like the Jaragua.

My guess is, give it some time and the chicas will return to the streets. The police will move on to something else to focus on.

If the crackdown lasts, it would be the capitalistic model for the casas to raise prices. That being said, this past week, Girl's House was asking 2500 for short time, the one for which I won a half cigar from BQ and which I thought was Sky High was asking 3500P for short time. I don't remember how much the middle casa, Satin Dolls, was asking. 305 was asking 3500 but the level of talent there was so much better that it was worth the bump. The chica I took out of there was one of the best I ever had. Also, I should add that there was a couple of hottiies in Sky High including a Brasilena. And the chica I met there gave me her cell number and met me after work for an all nighter and a great GFE. We'll adapt.

They can crack down all they want but it will not stop me from going to SD. Like you say, we will just have to adapt. I can see it having a larger effect on a SD newbie who will now be restricted to the casas only.

When I think about it I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise. A few years ago the chicas weren't as bold about displaying their wares as they have been recently. The chicas used to congregate in small groups somewhat hidden behind the trees. Last trip I noticed larger groups of chicas standing in the street strutting their stuff.

Don't forget about the Piano Bar which is now owned by the same folk as GBP. There were 4 chicas when I was there and one was a hottie. Two others doable for the price which is like GBP. Hours are 2-11 pm......
I don't know why I keep forgetting about the Piano Bar and it would be so much easier to get to than GBP. As long as a chica is doable that is good enough for me. I don't have to have the 10s.

.....And I walked girls back to the Jaguar from casas twice and both of them were nervous as well. Kept asking me if it was safe. Between the Police and the ladrones, I really wasn't sure.
That has always been the one bad part about Jaguar ApartHotel. That two block walk in the dark can be intimidating. Things must really be different now because chicas would never be concerned about taking that walk.

Damn! We have to get used to the 3000/3500 pesos price range? I have had some good pussies on Independencia & Malecon for under 1500 pesos. This will definitely affect the mongering traffic to the DR.No need to have to pay 3,500 pesos. The local guys will never pay that price.

From Listin Diario Classified Advertisements, this is for Pink Pony (formerly A-1 Diva) there are other advertisements in listin diario for p4p:

"Ventas Varios
LAS MEJORES DIVAS de la zona, Japonesas, Santiagueras y más. 4habs. confonrtable, A partir 10:am. $1,000, $1,500 y $2,000. Av. Núñez de Cáceres #6, 2do niv. frente Corripio 809-476-9761 809-856-2717"

I have been to this bar several times, fun place with some fun chicas.

For convenience and for some very hot chicas, if you want you can pay 3,500 pesos.

In bad worldwide economic times, with tourism down throughout the Caribbean, there will always be good prices for pay for play. The police in DR can sweep the streets of chicas all they want, the chicas will not disappear. The 1,000 pesos chicas will still be there.

I'll be in Santo Domingo this month, so I will check out the casinos to see if more chicas are there.

There were street walkers in other areas of Santo Domingo, I saw them on Avenida Espana and on St Vincent de Paul.

The casas will never have a monopoly on the pay for play scene. With the internet, chicas can meet clients online.

My opinion, I don't see the police having the will to keep the chicas off the streets for an overly extended period of time.

Man WTF? I haven't been to DR in 2yrs. I've been exploring the rest of the mongering world in an attempt to solidify DR as my mongering home, I will arrive in 2. 5 wks. Looks like I'm flying into some BS?

Not me, if I have to pay that much them chicas will be getting ham n' cheese sandwiches without the ham.

They can crack down all they want but it will not stop me from going to SD. Like you say, we will just have to adapt. I can see it having a larger effect on a SD newbie who will now be restricted to the casas only.

Gentlemen,

As newbie to the forum but a hunter for over 3 decades I must say the crack down will drive the casa prices higher. The art of the game is getting enough digits so that you can make side deals for TLN needs. I was in 305 last night with a pair of my US buddies and we had to pay $200USD each for TLN but 305 has a huge selection of quality girls and proper treatment by the staff and management so we paid. During our ride we saw only 1 SW around 8PM by the ISLA gas station.

If you want and need short term and are on a tight budget Piano Bar Pasteur 56 and GBP gives you the best quality for the price. As for me I will start hunting the barrio's Herrera, Villa Mella, Los Minas for the casa alternatives for TLN needs.

Fellas,

Sw will never die but being sanctioned by police is completely over. did anyone know there is a 2:00a.m. Curfew for all but those heading home after work? Loitering is flatly illegal after hours. Period! from here on out especially in tourist areas unless you have a white face. I'm not trying to be racist but laying out the instructions/ policy to be inforced. Money wanted it cleaned up and that's what the government is doing. They want "Adult Entertainment " but they want the biatches flauntin off the streets gone. Us mongers bring in millions but the deals in the works are tens of billions. I'm not guessing fellas. This is first hand from policy makers. Get use to getting it out of cassas. Also look for mandatory health checks and licensing. Yes, licensing! The capital is going to be real interesting in the next few months. The politics is going to be real interesting. You can also thank the us government for fucking up the street scene. Lots a pressure from oboma admin. Never would a guessed a black prez would help fugg up the game!

Smdh! I told y'all it was coming...I got a million that Cuba is open destination in 2012 and Gauzue develops as a major port. Looks like I'm back to so sewer...

Anyway, here we go again = = what is the big fucking deal about skanky low end street sluts and the obnoxious hawkers who hang around them being run off the streets? Who give a fuck? It is downright stupid to imagine ANY country ANYwhere would let a main thoroughfare turn into an open air redlight district full of petty crime, drug sales, and overpriced (your fault) overweight ugly girls.

The once a year guy probally won't feel the effect.

Without those 1000peso street walkers, GBP and other establishments will increase prices. Why? Because they can, greed will prevail. And from my experience overpaying(in advance) usually means less service and more bullshit.

With me its about accountability. I want a fullfilling sexual experience. With street walkers you don't pay in advance, and they usually ply their trade hoping their talent will be rewarded. Street walkers don't walk around with acid and randomly cut people. Pickpocketing is not limited to street walkers.

I've had two "dead fishes" from GH that I prepaid 5k each(never again). Yes! I give a fuck when the rules of the game are changed and my options are taken.

I was one of the ones who said I will miss the 1,000 pesos chicas. Anyone who reads this forum knows about the bargain at GBP. The big difference is you can't go to GBP at 1am, you are not able to bring a GBP chica to your hotel for un mil, you can't walk out your hotel and in 15 minutes walk back in with a chica. The GBP chicas are not available to sit and have a beer with you at the corner colmado. So in my opinion there is a major difference.

If you read one of my previous post I also mentioned that indeed Independencia had gotten a little out of hand with the chicas bolder than ever before. I believe there are some bad apple SW but I have been lucky and met some pretty nice ones.

I am going to miss the late night activity on Avenida Independencia.........

Some casas the chicas live on site: 305, girl's house, baby dolls, casa de modelos, pink pony, casa azul, mansion, casa theresa. The problem with casa chicas who live on site at a house is that they generally have no free time to meet you, to do freelance work.

GBP chicas do not live on site and therefore can meet you when they are not working at GBP. Some chicas from foxy's live off site (not in the navarro hotel).

Last time I was in SDQ, I saw freelance chicas in coppa discoteca. Streetwalkers are freelancers, but appear to have been driven off the streets, where those chicas will ply their trade in the future, I don't know.

You should be able to get chicas for well under 4,000 pesos from the casas.

Taxi drivers and other guides get money from the casa when they bring in a client. The casa gets it's money back by charging the client more money. As such, it is generally better to enter a casa without a guide or taxi driver.

I am happy to see that you found a taxi driver who did not give you a hard time.

The more trips you make to SDQ the easier it gets and you will learn how and where to get good prices.

Port and colonial development coupled with a hell of a lot of gentrification. Think Brazil 1985 vs. 2010. Yeah! That drastic. El capital will be presentable if they have to spend rhe entire federal police budget to do so. The movement of the naval base is the biggest hold up. The money/loans have already been approved by the banks. Dominican operation control is paramount. lf you have s project management degree get your resume it in. Biggest positive little dredging recquired. Lots of rehabing and bulkhead building.

Prediction: one case will be allowed extended hours. Got my money on 305 due to the way they handle business.

Correct.

Sex Worker is a Legal Occupational class in DR same as brazil. The politics for South America is tacitly condoning it (prostitution) and pissing off the U.S. More. A lot of countries rely on the U.S. Aid monies to fund entire depsrtment in the federal budget. Great tension on how much to listen to wants of population and demands of the Purse String Holder U.S. Brazil told U.S. to "Fugg themselves" and focused on health, safety and minor traficking policy wise. DR.. is doing the same but playing the game better.

Brothel: Illegal!
Maison De Passe (trick House): Legal and Encouraged. See historic Hatian management of DR.. It will absolutely baffle you..Its crazy. Haitians actually ran DR Better than they ran Haiti!

No the casa chica I left with was 2, 500 and I was just saying that I had to really think that having 4000 pesos in pocket was as not as much money as I probably was thinking. I only had about 1500 pesos when I went into Satin Dolls or I would have left with that chica.

I later called my original taxi driver who brought me in from airport who speaks good english and took him up on his offer. He told me he knew a lot chicas from the university and his neighbor hood that he would bring over if I like. Well the next day after the casa chica I called him and he did deliver and she was very nice and so was the next one my last night and they were cheaper than the casa chica although I must I say I was very pleased with all 3.

For first trip I had a good time and I know it will be better just by this board and knowing some thing not to do like exchange the money at the airport. My taxi driver told me do not use the airport exchange next time and use the one that I think some suggested here and that was a lesson learned.

I was on Indepencia after 11PM on Saturday and did not notice any girls on the street at that time, I was with my novia and wasn't looking to hard but normally they are out at that time.

I used to be able to grab a quickie and head over to a cabana. I hope this doesn't continue.

BTW, went to ave. venezula afterwards and the cops were out in force, anyone knows what happened?

Medical testing of the chicas would a great thing, for the chicas and for the clients.

Removal of the street chicas will have no effect on my mongering activities. I used to enjoy driving around to check out the street chicas, but when the policia nacional started harassing me while driving at night, I basically stopped driving at night.

Jaosousa,
I am going back to SD the last week of Oct. for my 2nd visit this year. Is GBP in the city or outside the city? Also, what are there weekday hours? Can you take the girls out or do you have do stay there? I have been going to SD twice a year for the past 4 years. Is lapsus still in action, I have some digits fro there. I have found 2 good ones that were very accomodating. Do the hotel cabs know where GBP is? Hopefully you can fill me in.
Thanks!

From BQ Ribs post #3996:

"GBP, see post #1582 for exterior photos...to get to GBP you will need to take a taxi (150 pesos). Most cab drivers have no idea where GBP is. Tell the driver to take Bolivar to Lincoln and make a right. Take Avenida Lincoln to 27 de febrero and make a right. Proceed on 27 de febrero to the large car dealership just past the gas station. GBP is across the street on the second level.

If you don't mind walking you can also have the taxi driver drop you off at supermercado Nacional. Nacional has a nice hot foods section where you can have lunch. I sometimes have lunch, buy a bottle of Brugal at the supermarket and watch the eye candy before going to GBP. From Nacional to GBP is a good 10 minute walk."

BQ Ribs has posted photos of the outside of GBP open this link to see the photos: http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showthread.php?p=853111#post853111

GBP is closed on Sundays, other days it opens around 2pm and closes around 11pm. GBP is on the second floor of the building next door to Arismendy motors, a car dealer. GBP is on the south side of Avenida 27 de Febrero between avenida lincoln and avenida tiradentes (south of ave 27 de febrero, ave tiradentes is called ave alma mater).

Piano Bar on pasteur near independencia has similar prices to GBP and I have read Piano bar and GBP are owned by the same persons,

JayGBP is in the center of Santo Domingo. On site prices are better, take out prices are higher. Sample a chica onsite and if you like her, get her cell number when you are alone with her and set up something for when she is off duty from GBP.

If you want to take a chica from GBP, you will get better prices the closer it gets to closing time.

Lapsus I have not been in for more than 5 years. It was still there my last trip, behind the Jaragua Hotel and Casino (to the right of Manolos and hotel riazor when exiting the riazor).

If you are in the area where Lapsus is located (behind the Jaragua hotel and casino), the Jaragua Casino usually has chicas, as well as Hotel Melia and the bar Coppa in Hotel Melia. Three blocks over from Lapsus there is Avenida Pasteur which has 3-4 casas (girls house, satin, piano bar and bar 305 is about 150 feet east of pasteur). There is also the happy ending massage place on calle cervantes about 2 1/2 blocks from Lapsus.

Did the driver tell you how much the chica wanted before he delivered or did you negotiate with her after you saw her?No that is funny he never did I think he figured that I would take care of them and that is all he said . I also think he figured that even though I told him it was my first trip that I had some idea of what the pricing was probably because I did give him 40.00 US dollars for ride from airport and for the next ride from him intown 200 pesos (info from this board)

I figured from here that it would be lower than the casa chica so I gave the first chica 1600 pesos after we were done and it was taken without any problem. She stayed 4 hours as long as she could because she had a liitle kid that her mother was keeping and from what she told me it was only because of the Taxi driver that her mother would even have let her go .

She even had me get on the phone with her mother I guess to really prove she was with a foreign guy . Her and her mother both spoke not much English but just enough for a few minutes of basic English. Which let me to believe that judging by the girl and other things that these girls are really university girls or girls from the taxi drive's hood which is what he told me initially.

This taxi driver does not like the casa , but he said if guys want to go there he would take them there ,but it was obvious he would like you to use some of the girls he knew . Now of course I at first thought of course he would like that because he would get something from me and probably the girls also .

However after talking to him more and seeing the girl themselves it is more than that and he personally knows the girls or their parents . He flat out told me that this is a very poor country and that these girls actually do need help making through school or helping out their families and he told me its better for some of these girls to have a foreign guy treat them well and give them much needed money than to have a dominican guy just put a baby in them and leave and give them nothing. He himself is sending his 3 kids out of the country so they can have a better life .

It seems to me that besides him getting money if he can influence guys to spend on the girls (I think some are relatives) he knows and they get the money instead of the Casas he will do it .

Thanks for the posts.Yes they can PM me and I will give the info

Since I was meeting I changed my thought procees the day before I left and decided to split where I was going to stay. I stayed at the Hotel Palacio which was one of the hotels she suggested (conde was the other)and my thinking was to do that with her and my days alone at the Riazor.

Its was a nice hotel for the purpose and I can see why she wanted this hotel. It does seem to be farther away from the type of action that a monger would want. If in the future I come back to see this chica or another I would stay there again, but no more than 2 days. It is a nice hotel if one just wanted to chill with a certain chica.

After the Chica I actually wind up staying at the Jaguar apart which was orginally my back up to the Riazor. I had call them to see before I left the USA if they would have any vacancy just in case the Riazor was booked the guy was very nice and he told me if I needed a Taxi he had a guy that was very good and that is how I got this taxi guy.

I decided to go by and look at the Jaguar because I really did need internet access in the room more than I thought to handle a few things back home and the Jaguar manager said that it was in the room themselves. I was definitely going to the Riazor, but just wanted to see how the Jaguar looked inside. Well I was surprised how well they really were and how clean and it puts me in the mind of a bed and breakfast hotel in the USA.

So I stayed and will stay again it was in walking distance from the casa and the first night in that is when I walked to the Satin. I did also go and check out the Riazor and it is a nice hotel.

Cab drivers, hotel and restaurant employees 90% of them know a chica or a hundred they can recommend to you. I have met some chicas by this method, from a cab driver and hotel employees. Once I tell an employee that I am interested to get a chica not from a casa they are almost always eager to help. I tell them a description of how I like the girl (big boobs etc.) and I have always been pleasantly surprised with the chica. I usually give her $1500 and a tip to the guy who get me the chica.

I went to pick up my girl that works at the Jaragua Wednesday morning at 4:30 AM .
While I was waiting on the Independcia I saw “blondie” and another SW dodging in out from the little street vendor shack at the end of the Jaragua property. It was comical watching her as she was as persitant as ever. It was also a little sad that she has no ambition in her life other then hooking.

I am watching through my rear view mirror and my girl is walking towards me when out of nowhere appeared two cops on a motorbike. As she entered the car they shined their flashlight on us and asked me to roll down the window. I explained I was picking her up from work , they looked hard at her as she was wearing very “short shorts” and high heels. I told her later you better dress a little less “slutty or you will end up in jail for a night. (She is also three and half months pregnant but still looks fine as hell).Anyways I explained to the cops what we were doing and that she was my wife and just got of work. They laughed and said “ Vaya con Dios”

My advice to all of you and I have been here 16 years.

The crackdown is real and here to stay .

Be careful and stick to the casas .

I stayed at a small chica friendly in Santo Domingo, as I was exiting the hotel one night, I joked to the guard that I was going out to find chicas. The guard told me to wait and went and spoke to the worker at the front desk. The front desk worker produced a tall shapely chica (I guess she was probably visiting the worker in the back office), I considered taking her to my room, but declined.

Another time a waiter from a bar brought over a chica to my hotel.

Hostal Riazor is a favorite among many and probably the best choice for a newbie to SD.I have never been inside hotel riazor, from what I have read there is no wifi internet in the rooms at the riazor. Supposedly there is wifi internet in the lobby at the Riazor.

I have visited Bq Ribs at the hotel Jaguar and it was the only time I have been in that hotel. From what I read there is wifi internet in each room at the Jaguar.

Riazor is directly behind a large hotel and hotel casino (Jaragua) on a busy street. Jaguar is about two blocks from the Riazor on a quiet side street.

Zona colonial is about a 15 minute walk from hotel riazor.

There are several chica friendly hotels in zona colonial; palacio, roma, conde de penalba. There are other smaller hotels in zona colonial that are probably chica friendly; foreigner's club (owned by gay guys from the US), hotel Naemie, hotel Colonial, Camilo house and others.

If the guy really wants to stay in Zona Colonial, I am sure he can find a chica friendly hotel for a good price.

Near the riazor and jaguar hotel there are other chica friendly hotels; duque wellington, navarro, casona dorada, mystik, maison gatreux, venezia and la alcadeza (probably chica friendly). Hotel Alcadeza is on side street near Maison Gatreux. Alcadeza was formerly a radio station. I have been in the lobby, the hotel has a small gated parking lot. From what I have read, room rates are under $50 per night.

On a side note, the Barcelo Lina has a sale with room prices at about $90 per night. Barcelo is changing the name of the Lina to the Barcelo Santo Domingo, on their webpage they say this hotel has a restaurant called Lina, (Lina it says was the personal chef of the former dictator Trujillo). Barcelo Lina Hotel is on Ave Maximo Gomez near Ave 27 de Febrero, it is not a mongering area and it may not be chica friendly, I may stay there one night with a GF, just to see how it is (supposedly it was recently refurbished).

That is correct, Riazor has Wi-Fi access in the hotel lobby and Jaguar has a LAN connection in every room.

As much as I have recommended Jaguar in the past I think with the current crack down Jaguar may not be a viable option for a newbie. There is a two block walk from Avenida Independencia to Jaguar hotel. At night this is a dark, lonely walk. In the past I always felt safe walking to Jaguar late at night in the middle of the street. Now with less people out at night I would have to think twice.

.....And you're right about Independencia. Between the Police and the ladrones, I really wasn't sure.I have not been to SD since the crack down but I would have to take into consideration Koki9290's post. Koki is a rep dom vet and a well respected poster.

I'll be back in La Capital next week for a night or two and probably will stay at Jaguar. I'll let you know how things in the street are.

Bq, be advsd that Rafael has put two WiFi routers in the hotel and they are strong and fast. Much better than the LAN system.

And a quick note on a new/old restaurant in Gazcue Some of you might remember a French restaurant just around the corner from the Piano Bar which is on Pasteur. (Just up the street from Girl's House, etc.) The street name is Casimro Nunez and it is the first street paralleling Independencia. The place is owned by a Frenchman married to a Dominicana and they have changed the food to pure Dominican with a fixed price menu. Open for lunch and dinner only, it was packed both times I went. The lunches were around 60-80P and the dinners around 80-100P. There were 4-5 selections of entrees and then one side of veggies or beans and rice or salad. Good food and adequate portions for the money. Only diss was that they ran out of my first choice both times I went. Highly recommend it.

... with the current crack down ...I can remember seeing streetwalkers on Independencia starting around 7pm. At that early hour there is a mix of people walking around on Independencia, near avenida pasteur.

I am curious if streetwalkers are still plying their trade early in the evening on Independencia. Late at night it is much easier for the Police to chase the pro chicas off the streets. Earlier in the evening when there is a mix of people walking around, I am curious as to whether the police are trying to chase the pros off the street.

Elizabeth, nice sweet chica. Nice body, she is very friendly. She usually eats at the chimi next to La Parada bar. The people from La Parada know her well. I was with a La Parada waitress in front of Riazor "talking" and she saw Elizabeth. She told me their taxi driver is in love with Elizabeth and that when her cab driver goes down Independencia he stops to say hi to her and that she always asks for 100 pesos to him.

La Parada bar waitresses, they go back home on a taxi they share but each girl pays 150 pesos every night, some arrive home more than an hour after workshift end. La Parada bar closes an hour later now so a girl easily can be back home at 5:00 a.m. The girls have no meal break, they were the entire night with just a coffe on her bodies.

How did you get that rate and is that with taxes? Is the hotel multiple chica friendly (two chicas at the same time)?Ribs-I sweet talked the Manager plus I gave her some trinket jewelry from Afghanistan that cost me like $2. 00 she loved that.

Having my novia stay was not an issue.

One of my wingmen was in the next room and got the same rate.

I will dig out the Managers name and send it to you.

Highly recommend it.I last time I went to eat at that resturant with my novia, we were just finishing our salads when the Dominican wife started yelling and throwing food at her French husband. We were told that they were no longer serving and we had to leave. It was funny but I was hungrey and the food is really good and good prices.

Bq is going to give management some ham and cheese sandwiches and and balloon jewelry (made in China).

Basic rooms in Conde de Penalba cost $60, taxes included, rooms with 2 beds cost $75. You got a $10 per night discount. Conde rooms are nice, with design details from the Spanish colonization era.

I have seen asians in Santo Domingo staying at Mercure (guest friendly) and in other hotels. It is not rare to see europeans and asians in Mercure since it is an european hotel.

Either if you are asian or american, black or white, young or old, nice or Aypapi you are going to fit well there if you have $ but it is important to manage it well. Read the forum, there is lot of useful information there.

What places would you guys recommend that are Asian friendly?Near Zona Colonial in Santo Domingo there is a Chinatown, with Chinese restaurants and shops. Many pica pollo (fast food chicken restaurants) are owned and operated by Chinese-Dominicans.

Pink Pony on Ave. Nunez Caceres has at least one Japanese chica.

You will see Dominican chicas who have some Asian features.

Being a foreigner with money you will be welcomed everywhere.

If you need more specific information just ask.

Are roofies legal in the DR?I see that as of a couple months ago you have never venture out of your country. I dont use anything illegal, and would suggest that you concentrate on other aspects of traveling(girls, culture, language). If you have to indulge, get there and discreetly inquire about these things. But understand they have great penalties.

I understand that there is a chica crack down going on in DR. As this is my first trip to DR, would you please suggest a few guest friendly hotels in SDQ?

Jacousa suggested several places in Zona Colonial. (Thanks a million Jacousa! You are a great help to newbies like me!) However, I would like to find a small hotel with clean rooms, A/C, guest friendly, close to all the action, if there is any left! I understand that there are not a lot of action in Zona Colonial. But, I could always take a taxi during the day or early evening to Zona Colonial, and be a tourist for a couple of days.

I would like to have internet connection, either wired or wireless, in the room, but it is *not* mandatory. I intend to bring an unlocked 4 band phone from US, and buy a local chip for communications.

I read about Riazor, Jaguar, etc. My budget is $60 per day for a hotel room, if I could find it.

Also, I was planning to visit Sousa just for a night. Any suggestions for this?

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Happy mongering!

You have posted photos and good reports in the Costa Rica forums, thanks for your contributions to the board.

No shortage of chica friendly hotels in Santo Domingo, for $60 and under.

The closest hotel to the mongering scene would be Hotel Mystik. Hotel Mystik is next door to Girl's House and Satin House. Mystik is about $50-$55 per night and has wifi internet. Mystik is on Avenida Pasteur which is a busy street during the day. On one side of Hotel Mystik is an empty lot and next to the empty lot is a popular, very small fried food place. Late at night chicas from Bar 305 walk over to that fried food place to eat. Next to the fried food place is a colmado (very small grocery store) where you can buy soda, beer, chips etc.

1/2 block up the street from the Mystik is the Restaurant Villar Hernanos. You can get food to eat in or take out (they also have a bakery and they also make sandwiches). They also sell fried food, which are like finger food. I usually buy 4-5 of those small fried food pieces and they put them on a Styrofoam tray with plastic wrap and I eat them back at my room.

Across the street from Villar Hernanos Restaurant is Bar 305, which is the newest brothel in Santo Domingo, with at least 20 chicas who live on site.

1/2 block down the street from the Hotel Mystik is the Malecon (sea side street also known as Avenida George Washington), Intercontinental V Centenario Hotel and Casino is located at that corner. One block over from there is the Hotel Melia and Casino which has the Bar Coppa, where some pros hang out at night.

Some guys don't like Hotel Mystik because it is too busy. I have walked in front of the Mystik many times during the day and night and never had a problem. I have not been inside hotel Mystik. For purely mongering purposes and if you are not bashful, then Hotel Mystik is in a good location with a good price. I don't know how the rooms are.

Hotel Riazor is on ave independencia about three blocks from Hotel Mystik. Riazor is next door to a 24/7 restaurant and is located behind a large hotel/casino (jaragua hotel and casino which is owned by Marriott). Riazor is not next door to a brothel, so it is a little more discreet, price for riazor is about $60-$70.

There are several other chica friendly hotels in the area near hotel mystik that have room rates for $50 and under. Hotel Casona Dorada (no safes in all rooms), Hotel Navarro, Hotel Duque Wellington, Hotel Maison Gatreux and Hotel Venezia.

Hotel Venezia is nice, but late at night it will be a lonely walk on Independencia.

Maison Gatreux is on a side street around the corner from a large hotel and casino (Intercontinental).

If you don't mind being in a busy area where people might see you coming and gong with different chicas, then Hotel Mystik for around $50, is the closest hotel to the action.

Sosua only for 1 day? It is about a 4 hour bus ride from Santo Domingo. If you want to visit Sosua, you may want to schedule at least 2 days there.

To visit Sosua from Santo Domingo, the two bigger bus companies are Caribe Tours and Metro. One way price from Santo Domingo to Sosua is under $10 US. Metro is $1-$2 more expensive than Caribe Tours. Metro buses are usually a little newer and nicer.

The Metro bus stop in Sosua is in the El Batey section of Sosua, which is where the hotels are and the mongering. Caribe Tours bus station in Sosua is in the Charamicos section of Sosua and from that bus station to where the hotels are located is about 1 mile.

Metro has a nice bus station on Avenida Churchill (just north of ave. 27 de febrero) in Santo Domingo. The bus station is a one story white building with external parking, an air conditioned waiting room that has a small restaurant, it is located in a good neighborhood.

Caribe Tours generally has more buses traveling to Sosua from Santo Domingo. Metro and Caribe Tours have webpages with their schedules.

Taxi fare from Hotel Mystik or Hotel Riazor to the metro bus station is about 150-200 pesos.

On the metro and Caribe Tours buses in Dom Rep, they usually crank the air conditioning high, so you may want want to have a jacket or sweatshirt for the ride.

I think he wants to bring them home - the low DR prices can't be found in US etc so roofies help.My guess being a tranquilizer type drug they are more controlled in Dom Rep, like oxycontin, you can't walk into a pharmacy in Dom Rep and buy them without a prescription.

Other drugs like Viagra and Cialis you can buy without a prescription. You can also buy antibiotics without a prescription in DR.

Pain killers and other similar type drugs, it is my understanding that a pharmacy in Dom Rep will require a prescription.

I am not sure what the purpose of this "crackdown" is, either 1. To show good face and to show the people that the policia is out there protecting and harrassing touristas. Or 2.completely financial and therefore forcing the chicas into casas and getting bribes from the casas to continue running them. They want to takeaway the freelancers because its just to hard to get bribe money from that many chicas and johns every night, too much work, too many cars to stop and chicas to chase! And, as with all things Dominican it will bite them in the ass, ultimately. Just my two cents.

Possibly just for the same reason that street prostitution is cracked down on in the US. Since the Gazcue/Colonial/HIstorical district is the epicenter of Santo Domingo's tourist area, a reputation for street prostitutes is generally detrimental to the tourism business and female visitors in particular will find it offensive or discourage their male partners from doing business in SD.

For example, do you think overseas school trips from the US would see Santo Domingo as a suitable destination? Probably not, even though it is obviously the oldest city in the New World and unique in world history.

If the girls are in the casas, then non-mongering visitors will not be aware of them unless approached by touts, and the touts are less likely to hand cards to men accompanied by women.

Just a thought, but you might be able to get more information about the internal politics of the DR by reading Listin Diario--I just don't have the time.

Actually, there is a Listin Diario editorial (link below) that seems to be discussing what I said above, namely that the Malecon area is unsightly because of trash, prostitutes, poor general security, etc.

The Malecon at rush hour is bumper to bumper traffic. Many vehicles including large trucks spew nasty smoke and fumes from their exhausts. I would not want to take a walk on the malecon during rush hour and have to breathe that pollution.

Could they make the Malecon more pedestrian friendly? Maybe. Some people may envision something similar to what you see on the westside of Manhattan, where there are bicycle paths and paths for people to jog and rollerblade along the Hudson River.

Santo Domingo is hot during the day, so even if the Malecon was spruced up, I don't know if people would walk along the Malecon during the daytime heat.

If anyone could recommend an apartment in SDQ for November, please PM me. I am thinking about a 2 to 3 week trip, so not really down with paying $60 a day for hotels.

I spent 6 days in the DR at the beggining of this month. I decided to stay with a dominican gf, so mongering was out of the question. I did drive a few times thru Av Indepedencia at night and there were no groups of SW in site. I did manage to spot a couple of them walking alone, seemed they need to stay on the move instead of standing on the corners.

Spent my last 2 nights at the Riazor and it sucked. The AC was weak and the bed squeaked so loud, maybe Boricua Online spent one of his trips screwing on that bed. At one point in the middle of the action the support bar under the mattress fell on the ground. Tried to change rooms but dominican people always find excuses to twist the obvious. I should've gone to the Jaguar. I also used Venezia, but they kept charging me for a chica fee, so that place is done for me.

Someone out of Mexico stole money from my account after having using my card in the DR. I only paid Nacional car rental, Riazor, and made a few ATM transactions with that card. The same thing happened after my July trip, but since only $40 were removed, I decided to ignore it, thinking that could've been someone affiliated with the hotel I had used in Samana. I will never use my card overseas again. This same crap happened in Colombia 2 years ago, so from now on I will only bring cash to my trips.

At least 10 times I had to cancel credit cards and get new cards after traveling to dom rep. 5 or 6 times, small charges were being made in mexico. A few times the people tried to buy airline tickets, which I thought was strange since you have to give your real name when you buy airplane tickets. About 4 months ago a group of Dominicans were arrested for selling credit card info, that was then used to clone credit cards.

My last trip I had no problems with my credit card. I always use my credit card to rent a car at Alamo. Alamo and National are partner companies in Dom Rep.

The fraudulent charges were always removed from my credit card account.

I did a search two months ago and found apartments for rent in SDQ, furnished and not expensive and not requiring a long term commitment. I will look for those links and post them here.

I should be in SDQ in the beginning of November, I will definitely drive up to Santiago for 2 nights. I may stay in an apartment in zona colonial
(santo domingo), Bq Ribs gave the outside of the place a passing grade.

Orbitz has a coupon: DEALPRO10, takes 10% off the price of hotels, 1 night or more.

Maison Gatreux is not bad for $45 per night. I was never charged an extra chica fee when I stayed there, it is a small hotel with good security and good A/C.

Anyone in SDQ or Santiago, beginning part of November let me know, for a few shots of tequila.

http://www.listin.com.do/puntos-de-vista/2010/10/6/161541/Paranoia-municipalGreat post Fannie. I have been going to Santo Domingo for several years and my feeling is not just what is best for the monger but best for the people. As it has become sort of a second home. I consider myself an expert in mongering in DR.

Santo Domingo does have an unbelievabkle wealth of history that should be exploited to help boost tourism so the country can benefit from more dollars and a higher caliber of people spending money which trickles down tio the general population.

The article you posted is interetsing because, most countries like blaming prostiutution on tourists and expats when the truth is, the prostitution on the streets on George Washington and Independencia on Malecon mainly serves Dominicans citizens, who are driving towards the cabanas.

The tourist that is a newbie who doesn't do his research here on ISG, may end up paying extra for the girls in the casas like Girl House, 305, Foxy's, Baby Dolls, Casa Modelo, Casa Teresa and Casa Azul.

My feeling is that the street ho's are 95% dirty and the casa girls are 90% used up, and completly over priced. Very rarely can you get an attractive newbie and GFE because they get scoooped uo so fast they are oacking their bags with another lucky tourist.

http://www.Youtube.com/watch? V=0SCemOUcMFE&feature=related Most of these casa females have been impreganted and left by their Dominican partners, It is an ongoing saga in this country and it breaks my heart. If you ever go to a casa, anywhere in the DR, have the DJ play this song and 30% of the girls will cry! If you play it in front of your girlfriend and she cries you know she is or was a *****. LOL

Seriously, 10% of the girls may be attrractive whic is very low, but you better belkieve all of the good looking girls are selling themselves 1-3x a night! Who needs a used up prostitute whose pussy hurts that charges 2, 500 peosos 1, 000 pesos for a tout or taxi so the fake price is 3, 500 peoss for take plus a min 1, 000 pesos.2000 pesos for taxi and tip? That is 4, 500. 5, 500 pesos or $160 bucks. Might as well stay in the States or Canada or Europe!

My best advice is to meet the real college girls that work part time and secret. Most tourists and ISG members do not know that there are thousands of hot 18. 23 year old, real college girls, no children, no stretch marks or c-section scars, who are available. These females mostly live at home and will meet you for 2-5 hours but must have to return home because they live with their families and do this to throw a couple dollat5s in their pockets once in a while. Many of these gurls also have real boyfriends who would never have any idea that there little princess would ever do such a thing. Now whats great is that these non pros would never fuck a dominican because they would be worried their byfriend might find our so fucking a gringo is a safer option.!

The non pros are many times the true gems that enjoy sex, and the factor that their vaginas do not hurt from banging 2 guys a day is an added advantage! Furthermore, the thouht of a guy creampie-ing these street or casa *****s prior to getting my hands on them is an absolute turnoff to me but hey to each his own.!

I have several contacts, of guys and girls that have loads of part time, non proes who secretly will meet gringos. Many of these non pros are from the upper missle class and the rich areas like Naco, Piantini, Mirador S & and you name the type of girl you want, they get them. Indio, Mulatto, Morenas Light skinned, Big tits, Big asses Skinny, BBW's.

Also, the prices when all is said and done are 99% of the time is much less than going to the casas, some of these girls just want to drink and party and some may just want some beer change and a taxi will do the trick! Obviously the less experienced they are the cheaoer they usually are!

Plus when banging a non pro there is usually less stench and much more enjoyment, believe me.

What is exciting for me is when I am fucking a female that is satisfied & enjoying herself, pushing your cock deep inside her, with no inhibitions is what sex is all about, as opposed to a pro sitting back, pushing away and making"acting" faces like, they are enjoying themsleves when you know their pussies are sore and they are in pain, they want to leave and they are looking at their watches with no chemistry whatsoever. Then the pros fight for moeny "Dame mas dinero, cono"! "Mama Guevo" El dinero tu pagar es la casas dinero en nada es para me", Yo no tengo nada yme hijo y mama estamas infermoetc" Dame mil pesos mas, Dame quinento pesos mas"! Tu no pagar a me no hay problemate llame el policia ahora mismo, maldito madre"! These are just some of the catch phrases and usual tactics the dominican pros use to extort more money from us stupid gulible gringos" Who needs that garbage?

If anyone wants to stay away from the street girls, touts and wants the name of some of my friends who can imtroduce you to some of these non pro, cleaner females let me know. Here''s one I recommend that I guarentee noone will ever complain about being hustled!

Thank guys,

Well. I am not really looking for asian girls in Santo Domingo. I am more into spanish chica, and been doing lost of researching here and other forums, but most of reports from Girl's house, GBP, case tera etc. Are not written by asians, so I was just wondering if I would be ripped off or even refused by the girls because I look asian.

Monger2012,

I am a newbie here in the SD forum. But, my experience in other latin countries tells me that most of the latinas are not prejudicial as to Asian faces. They do prefer generous clients!

I have an Indian friend who bargains like crazy with latinas. But, once he is happy with the performance he gives the girls usually a $25 tip. He also brings and gives small bottles of perfume, lipstick, cheap jewelry, panties, etc. I have been his wingman many times. Believe me, the latinas in Costa Rica, Colombia and Panama love this guy - albeit the fact that he is under 5' tall, beaded and in his 60s! Some of the best looking girls prefer him than a gringo!

So, the moral of the story is that if you treat them nice, you can expect that in return. Most of these girls would like to be treated as a "woman," and
not as a ho'. If I like the girl, I treat her nice, take her out for a meal and she provides a great GFE.

Oh one more thing, I noticed that a lot of chicas are anti-smoking now. A month ado, I saw a couple of chicas at Del Rey in Costa Rica refuse gringo clients who were smoking.

Thank guys,

Thank you guys! I plan to visit GBP brothel as reported on this forum, but my hotel is about 10 min cab ride from GBP. Due to work, I could only check out the brothel at night after 7 pm. Is it safe to catch a cab at night as a single Asian who speak no Spanish?

I want to monger around at night, but I am just not sure if it's worth it for a newb who speak no spanish to take a cab going around the city, maybe I am just paranoid.

I want to monger around at night, but I am just not sure if it's worth it for a newb who speak no spanish to take a cab going around the city, maybe I am just paranoid. There are some Dominican taxi drivers who speak English. As a general rule when a Dominican guy on the street speaks good English beware (some dominican men learned English in the United States before they were deported back to Dom Rep, as a result of criminal activity in the US).

Some taxi drivers speak some basic English. A taxi driver who speaks very good English, be cautious.

Depending what hotel you may be staying at, you could ask the workers at the hotel to call you a taxi and ask them for a driver who speaks some English. If you have a problem with that taxi driver, the hotel will have his information and you will be able to track him down with the politur or the police, if he rips you off. Generally when a hotel calls a taxi for you, usually those taxis will not try to rip you off.

Mardonius was recently in Santo Domingo and he used a taxi driver who did not try to rip him off. You may want to PM Mardonius and ask him for the info of the taxi driver he used.

You should have a Dominican cell phone for local calls. If you don't have a cell, make sure you have the cell phone number of the taxi driver who you trust. When you are finished at GBP you can call him (you can ask one of the chicas at GBP to make the call, if you don't have a cell) and ask him to pick you up.

Anyone can get ripped off in Dom Rep, white, black, asian or whatever. Be smart, don't get drop dead drunk, don't flaunt your wealth (gold, diamonds, Rolex watch etc., leave at home). I usually don't carry huge wads of cash with me, so if I do get mugged, the thieves won't get much. I carry some credit cards or atm cards. I can always visit the ATM machine when I need cash.

The chicas are pleasant at GBP.

I have been out and about all night in Santo Domingo.

GBP is located on the biggest, busiest street in Santo Domingo, avenida 27 de febrero, in a building located near a nice car dealer. Anywhere in Dom Rep can be dangerous. Use caution wherever you go. But at 7pm going to GBP, should be no problem.

I have the business card of a taxi driver who uses a new mitsubishi montero suv as his vehicle. That guy works out of the Intercontinental V Centenario hotel, he is usually parked in front of that hotel. I haven't used him, but if you want to be driven around in a new big taxi, that is one option.

Did anyone hear about a Dutchman being killed in SD around 15th October. I have a friend from California who lives there, he called me here in US and said "Luke" was killed by his live-in girlfriend in SD. I have traveled there many times and knew Luke very well, I actually saw him last May at Pacos resturant on the Conde. Anyway he retired about a year ago and moved there. He bought a nice condo (150K) and a new SUV. Luke was a regular on the conde around Pacos, he had been going there for well over 20 years and was well versed in getting around the country. I was told she hired 2 men to kill him, they cut off his head, arms & legs, then dumped him somewhere at mile marker 22 in a banana field. My friend told me it was in all the news papers around 15th Oct. I believe Luke had changed his will for her and thats when she set forth the plan to kill him. I was also told she has admitted to everything.

One word of advice to those who travel aboard for pussy! Be careful, I was told once by a local pimp "Remember you are in my country" I will never forget that statement.

Thanks

Not a good idea to change his will, 99% of these girls are with us because of $$$. I read about a dutchmen and his wife killed on Cabarete last week.

Dominican Republic official murder statistics are of 2,500 murders per year, unoficial estimates are of 4,000-5,000 murders per year. The 1595 civilians (or delinquents) killed by policia nacional on the last few years for major and minor offenses (as for example, not to stop your car when requested) are not part of official statistics.

Possibly just for the same reason that street prostitution is cracked down on in the US. Since the Gazcue/Colonial/HIstorical district is the epicenter of Santo Domingo's tourist area, a reputation for street prostitutes is generally detrimental to the tourism business and female visitors in particular will find it offensive or discourage their male partners from doing business in SD....................
I would have to agree with you and I would also like to confirm previous reports. The SWs on Avenida Independencia are gone. I took a walk at 11pm on Saturday night and did not see a single chica on the street. The word is the Policia are touring the area all night to make sure the chicas don't return.

The empty lot on the corner of Pasteur and Independencia has been cleaned and paintings are on display for sale. Satin Dolls has a neon sign "Night Club" and I saw couples arriving in taxis going inside. I was only approached once by a tout. With the SWs gone there were quite a few more locals out and about.

From the looks of things it seems the SWs are gone for good.

I talked to Elizabeth, the blonde that used to be almost in front of Riazor. She told me the police don't wants the girls on the street, they are only allowing "los grandes" = puteros. She is not working neither the girls she know.

Girls are going to find the way to connect to customers pretty soon, maybe not in the street but somewhere else.

It is obvious the Policia don't want the chicas on the streets because the chicas have vanished. The chicas probably just pushed it too far. You could not eat at Villar Hnos without a corner full of SW parading about. The chicas had become so bold they were standing in the street selling their wares. I guess someone or the local buisness just got tired of it.

As much as I enjoyed the chica parade the new look is kind of nice. I would imagine the locals really like the change. For the most part I would think the SW were doing more harm than good for local buisnesses. My favorite colmado now has red wine and wine glasses on the plastic tables replacing Brugal and Presidente. Outside of Mystik and the food stand next door was void of chicas. Even the chicas working at the casas won't leave the front porch.

Gentlemen don't throw away your chica phone numbers. We just need to alter our game plan a bit but SD will still be on my travel list.

I probably won't make a visit to BC this trip but I wonder if some of the chicas relocated there?

I stayed numerous times in Zona Colonial in the past few years and walked El Conde in the day and night and saw practically zero pros. In Pacos (now called Grands) at the beginning of El Conde, there were always some pro chicas.

Around Park Independence near El Conde there were SWS at night.

Do you know the Cigar shop near the Hard Rock, a friend of mine likes a type of cigar they sell there, every so often he wants a box.

I went in there one day right when they were closing and wound up with one of the sales clerks in the back, she was much prettier with clothes on. I thought I got over on my looks (jajaja) but afterwards she was asking for 4K. The last time I walked on El Conde was on a morning of July while waiting for my Riazor room to be ready. At 10:00 am there were a few chicas looking for customers in the square in front of Cathedral, near Conde de Penalba. A pair were cute. A pair of evident pros were with two guys on Pacos. Five or six girls whistled to me while walking up and down el Conde. Only one was cute. I continued walking and a girl stopped me in front of Pacos and told me if I wanted to "singar". Took a walk from the Pico Pollo across from the gas station at the fork in the road near Hotel Venezia to Hotel/Casino Jaragua along Avenida Independencia.

What did I see? 0.0 available chicas. 0.0 as in 0, zero, cero, nada, SW free, no leche bank chicas looking for a midnight deposit. Gentlemen I kid you not, there were no chicas out and about. Only thing reminded me of the chicas that used to be there was the slow moving Policia Nacional SUV and a Military vehicle I saw crusing the avenue.

This crackdown looks serious and it doesn't look like the chicas will be returning any time soon. Shyte so crazy I got questioned twice walking into the Jaragua parking lot. I just said No hablo espanol and the security guard waved me on.

It was strange seeing "regular" couples going in and out of Riazor. First time in a long, long time I didn't see any foreign tourists wining and dining their love of the night at Manolos Restaurant.

Anyone thinking well maybe it is the slow season or it is a Monday night. You can forget that thought because it has nothing to do with the current SW situation.

What about Sarasota, is that street cleaned up??
Can't answer that one as I am not familiar with the Sarasota SW action. At night I do my best to avoid driving. I usually do a walking tour of Avenida Independencia, the circle at Parque Independencia, and the Malecon. All of these areas have been cleanded up using the best cloro the DR has available.

I may be proven wrong later but I really don't think the SW action will return like it was a little over a month ago. The colmado across from Hotel Navarro had three of the hard core regulars hanging out but they never left the property of the colmado. There was one chica sitting on the bench in front of Hotel Navarro who after a few glances gave me a very discrete wave. Two or three touts hanging out by Club 305 were also very, very low key in approaching possible clients.

and YES the traffic has slowed. Was sitting at the outdoor dining area of the Mercure Hotel and watching the traffic. I noticed a lot of single chicas carrying books and dressing like the everyday Dominicanas. Eye contact told me they were available. A couple had the slutty look and was told my a pro who moved to my table that they probably paid off the cops.

SI don't know what drnights or other similar places charge per night. If you want to have a chica stay with you for 24 hours per day, probably the least expensive way to do that, would be to go to Sosua (north coast, use Puerto Plata Airport) and negotiate with a freelancer.

Blackbeards on the north coast is another option.

Appears the people in Santo Domingo don't want to have freelancers roaming the streets. A casa chica for 24 hours will be expensive.

If anyone is interested I can give a run down of CR, Nicaragua or Havana.

Looks like leonel fernandez is trying to be the second coming of el jefe (dictator trujillo). The weakest are always targeted first. The streetwalkers are driven off the streets, even though what they are doing is legal.

The brothels are allowed to stay open even though what they are doing is illegal in DR.

The DR authorities turn a blind eye to the drug smuggling and money laundering which is big in DR and they focus their attention on single moms and other chicas who walk the streets trying to make some money. There is no welfare or other social services in DR.

First I am a senior member on usasg.

Quick question. Sure not a quick answer!

What is better. All inclusive with the escort (like drnights etc) or regular hotel all inclusive and I find / pay for an escort after I get there? What is the going rate for a lady for each 24hr?

Thanks for any and all help!

SI pay my favorita 2000 pesos plus 250 for the bus and concho. She stays for a day or longer and then goes back to Santiago.

Free advice so take it for what it is worth, Go to Sosua first!

Do you really want the same girl for 24 hours? In the U.S., it sounds like a good idea but I can guarantee you that once you get on the ground in Sosua you will change your mind.

Go with the idea of mongering and if you find one you want to wife-up with, then fine. If not, on to the next. The ones you like, get their number or give them your number. Your phone will explode, all with girls that you have already screened.

In Sosua, there many, many girls available. Many of them would like to wife-up with a Gringo for a few days. Eat, drink, swim and get paid. Toss them some pesos for the salon and they will be dreaming of Western Union heaven.

In Sosua, you decide when they leave. It is the mongering world turned upside down and when you come back from vacation, it will be hard to monger at home again.

Point and click option is the most expensive salida from Passions or CMP is maybe $6500 pesos max.($175 US). This would be from the afternoon until the next morning.

Really what I am trying to say is "Why pay $$$ for the same girl for 24 hours when you do not know if there is any chemistry?"

I am sure that there is a place for the all-inclusives of mongering but I am also sure that every guy on this board will try to steer you away from this option. My opinion is not really based on money either, I truly believe you will have a better experience going to Sosua.

I don't know what drnights or other similar places charge per night.

A casa chica for 24 hours will be expensive.Looks like Sosua it is.. finally found a flight from MCO to the N side of the island. That was my only concern was the drive up from the S Side and only there for a few days

I be there Nov 11-14 if anyone wants to hang. I'll be flying solo.

Peace,

WTF, walking through the Jaragua parking lot from Avenida Independencia is like a public street, many dominicans walk through that parking lot as a shortcut to the Malecon. The guard at the gate is questioning people?

Did you visit the Jaragua casino? The Jargua Hotel is at war with the owner of the Casino and do not want clients of the Casino using the Hotel entrance.

The back entrance and parking lot is off limits to Casino customers.

I guess you will have to walk around to the Malecon or take a moto if it is to far.

That's what I was told by an employee of the Casino.

The outdoor cafe in front of hotel conde de penalba is a popular spot for foreign guys who are with their Dominican girlfriends.I love that spot. Great view, in the shade, and a waiter to attend to my needs. I could spend my entire weekday afternoons at that cafe; reading, drinking, and checking out the women. Because I prefer that scene, no less than half my time will be spent in Santo Domingo, with about half of that time being spent on the Conde.

That's what I was told by an employee of the Casino. Thanks, the jaragua hotel is owned by the Marriott company, which I believe is an American corporation. The casino built a separate entrance facing the malecon, which is in line with your post. The casino has probably been battling the hotel for a while and is why they built that separate entrance.

Dominicans would always walk through the jaragua to and from the malecon to avenida independencia. Hotel Jaragua near the lobby has the sports bar and also has another bar and restaurant near the pool entrance, that are open to the public.

How are the guards going to stop people if the people say they are going to the bar or restaurant near the lobby? Very weird.

I used the jaragua as a meeting spot for numerous chicas. I would sit at the small bar near the glass doors to the pool with a beer and I told amigas to meet me at the jaragua near the lobby. According to your information local chicas may not be allowed easily onto the property.

Thanks for posting.

From you photos I learned that there are three casas on Avenida Pasteur now between the Malecon and Avenida Independencia. Sky High is the old Sky House. Then there is Satin and Girls House.

Sky House was Elegant Center before the 2005 or 2006 crackdown. Compare the pictures. It was nice in the past, with different price structures, from a massage with masturbation to full service. Service performed on a massage table.

I found a few pictures of Remington Palace chicas on an old pc backup cd, pics were not taken by me. Remington Palace closed a few months after the presidential decree regulating the closing time of alcohol selling places were in effect. I can compare RP to 305 but cheaper, 2,000 pesos vs 3000-3500 on 305.

This place is on 56 Pastuer which is on the other side of Indepencia about 10 houses up. The chicas are rated from 8- 10's. They treat you like a king and the price is right. 2 chicas for $1500RD for 1 hour. You will be amazed and satisfied what happens. You tip them but it is up to you. The don't ask for more they appreciate what you give them. But you will tip them well for the service you get. The woman who runs it is a fun person. No attitude in this place. I saw 4 of the 6 girls woring there. All A++. Check it out when you get here.

Let me tel you, you can now walk Indepencia and Pastuer and not see a chica or a street pimp around, although I got one that followed me when I was walking on Pastuer around 3pm. I could not shake him and it started raining so I walked back to that store mear the Mystic and stood under the awning. He followed me. It wasn;t 30 seconds when a Policia SUV pulled up and tryed to speak to me in spanish. I don't speak spaniish. The umbrella guy standing next to me spoke to him, I said no comprende and the officer laughed. They were going to arrest him but I said nothing. It is clean. You see them at night patrolling. Also I was in the Jaragua casino about 11pm and there were only 2 chicas at the upstairs bar. The slot area was empty. They are not letting them hang out there I guess. Sol Melio there were no chicas around 1pm last night. mybe 1 or 2 playing cards, but they did not stand out. Good luck!

Fellas, when the guys say there is not a SW the Street. There is not a SW on the Street. Just finished with Jose n Emilo @ Mystik & some other friends in the know and all say this crackdown is harsh. They say they give the girls no leeway. The patty wagon is "suppose" to be Perfunctory course of action. They all want to take a cab..Scared as hell.....LOL! Easier to get them to stay the night now. They hate having to be seen at night. Also notice the reduction in Puta wear from casa to your place. Since the SW are gone will the monger pack up and leave also?

As of now the only available place to find chicas are the casas. Is that enough to interest a newbie to visit Santo Domingo? I think NOT.

Five years ago I was attracted to SD because of reading about chicas being everywhere, El Conde, the casas, the streets at night, Pacos during the day, the casinos, etc. Today that is no longer true.

For the SD vets, think like a newbie and do you think there is enough chica chasing oportunities left in SD to spark a newbie's interest?

I used to strongly suggest to guys on the board to give SD a try. Right now I think I would tell anyone new to rep dom to hit Sosua and leave SD for doing tourist stuff.

Back in 1998 Puerto Rico had what was reported by Penthouse Magazine as the best *****house of the world, the Black Angus. Next to Black Angus were similar places with strippers and prostitutes, Santurce area were full of pretty streetgirls at prices from $20. Then a crackdown from the PR police chief, the same that suggested Leonel Fernandez to make a law to close alcohol selling business on earlier hours (and he did). The new Tigres del Licey baseball cheerleaders are from Colombia, see the pics. Leones del Escogido baseball team cheerleaders are from Venezuela. Why do they have to export cheerleaders?

Oh I don't doubt the chicas will get back to work somewhere. The question is will that somewhere be a location convient for a traveling monger? From what I have seen the traveling, foreign monger is a very, very small percentage of the chica's clients.

I have spent many a day and night walking the streets of SD, Gazcue and Zona. I can not ever recall seeing more than a handfull of mongers on any given day. The Santo Domingo chicas do not depend on the foreigner's dollar like Sosua does. If the chicas set up camp in an area only accesible by car what does the monger do?

When the chicas were out in full force on Independencia, the Malecon, the circle by the parque who were 99% of their clients? Sure wasn't members on this board.

You have to see the new look to believe it. Avenida Independencia on a Saturday night now is a hundred time worse than any Sunday in the past. How many ways do you spell the word NO? There are NO chicas working the streets of the Zona and Gazcue now.

Sure you can still go to the casa, get a phone number and hook up later but for a guy just visiting for three or four nights this is too much of a hassle.

I will continue to go to SD but I have the time to do a slow hunt, have a few phone numbers, and do other things besides chica chase. There were nights I would finish with one chica, walk her to Independencia and pick up another. Those days are over.

I never thought I would see the day I would be posting stay away from SD.

I was sitting at the colmado thinking about the time I met you there. I looked around and the chairs were full of locals with their regular girlfriends. The colmado is still doing good business even without the SW attracting customers.

There were three hard core chicas at the colmado and they never walked any further than the plastic tables and chairs. The chica who ran off leaving me with her pocketbook that night was there and two of her friends. Bro those three chicas was the total count on Independencia on a Saturday night.

Thanks for the tips BoricuaOnline. Barranquilla and Cartegena are actually on my list of future destinations. I also have numbers of non-pros chicas in SD and elsewhere but what I have always enjoyed is the thrill of hunting for pussies in the street.....the real act of mongering! Of course, I can travel to SD to spend time with non-pros chicas dining, clubbing, fucking but it doesn't provide me with the thrill I derive from mongering. I filled up the rest of the time with semi pros from the local universities & girls at the discos. I don't mind crackdowns, it just gives me an excuse to go visit a new geography and begin a new adventure. Later DR for now, I think Columbia looks great for the near future. You better read the Medellin forum and the general forum. There is a heated discussion now going on about" community clensing" involving the police and vigilate groups. Also Colombia doesnt have an"U" in it. But I love Colombia if you need info pm me before you go.

Piano Bar and GBP have the 1500 pesos two chica special. You will not find that price in Sosua or at Blackbeards.

Streetwalkers may be gone, but there are still numerous pay 4 play venues in SDQ. With the added police presence it may be a very good time for a first timer to visit SDQ, because it should be a lot safer with the added police. The chicas should also be more appreciative of foreign guys now, as the foreign guys should be able to keep the chicas from being harassed while they are walking on the street together (so maybe more chicas holding onto a monger's arm like a gf, while walking around in public).

I know a few guys who should be in SDQ in November. I will be in SDQ in November and I will show around any newbies who are in town while I am there.

I will hit the casas (satin, sky high, 305, foxys, baby dolls, casa de modelos, casa azul, casa theresa etc). I will also visit the normal venues, docks and hooters in plaza acropolis, sinatra and zambra in plaza uris, coppa and mint on the malecon. I will try to visit avenida venezuela this trip and check out the numerous bars on that street. Le Base and Eagle Sports bar and Bar Atarazana are a few other bars in the city.

Jao you got to see it to believe it.

My late night walk with the PN cruising I felt no safer. In fact I felt I needed to get back to my hotel room. Sort of weird walking down Independencia and you are the only pedestrian for blocks. (Remember Koki's report about a month or so ago?) Gonna be tough walking arm in arm with a chica when no chicas can be found on the streets.

If a group of guys were planning a trip to SD they may enjoy it as a group bouncing from casa to casa to casa. A single dude traveling I still say find somewhere else to go, at least for now.

Just about all the streets in Dom Rep are a little spooky at night. In Sosua most streets are dark and lonely late at night. In Sosua you can take a motoconcho at night, in santo domingo you can take a car taxi at night.

Here are the most recent reports starting from October 1, 2010. These are comments from guys who have been on the scene in Santo Domingo. No hearsay or second guessing.

I was in SDQ this past weekend for 5 days and did not see one chica on the Malecon nor on Independencia............

I was on Indepencia after 11PM on Saturday and did not notice any girls on the street at that time,......

My advice to all of you and I have been here 16 years. The crackdown is real and here to stay.

The SWs on Avenida Independencia are gone. I took a walk at 11pm on Saturday night and did not see a single chica on the street. The word is the Policia are touring the area all night to make sure the chicas don't return.

Let me tel you, you can now walk Indepencia and Pastuer and not see a chica or a street pimp around,

Fellas, when the guys say there is not a SW the Street. There is not a SW on the Street.

I would agree Crackdown is in full swing in SD. There was no SW anywhere on the malecon when I walked about a week ago,

Now we have hurricane Thomas to crack the National Police. Higher chances are that hurricane is going to affect the south coast with heavy rains then changing its route to form a C around Hispaniola Island so DR will be under the influence of the storm for a few days. Yesterday hurricane was east of the caribbean islands, hundreds of miles away from my country, Puerto Rico which is East of the Dominican Republic and some hurricane related heavy rains felt in some parts of the island. Heavy rain is expected during the week. The strongest part of a hurricane it is northen half so when hurricanes route is south of x place it does more damage. If you are going to travel to the DR this week stay tunned to intellicast and NOAA.

-helpmann :)didn't see girls in any of those three spots in my last two trips. and for christmas bribes, expect more grief for gringos driving cars. i hadn't been hassled for the last few of trips. not since may or june.

i drove from sosua to catch my flight from las americas the same day and had to go down the autopista for personal reasons. got to la capital and while the first elevated into town is open, the rest of kennedy is more fucked up than ever. after sitting forever in traffic, i stopped on 27th by la nacional supermercado to get a cab for mi novia. at this point, i was really late for my flight (last aa flight of the day).

on 27th, just before i get on the elevated to cross the river, two pn on a moto started waiving me down. i give them the stupid gringo shrug of the shoulders and continue up on the elevated with them following. (jao you'll love this part) the sky opens and they get drenched following me. finally, i can't ignore them anymore and pull over on the elevated. the one cop squeezes between my pax side and the retaining wall and asks for the license. and the dance begins.

you ran a red light. there were no red lights back there on 27th. you exceeded maximum velocity. i wasn't speeding. you have to pay multa (fine). where are you going, the airport? si. when is your flight? later tonight. let's go to your station and i'll pay my fine. no, that's not necessary. no, let's go to the station. i''l pay. no, i can help you out. no, i want to pay my fine at the station. finally, he sees this isn't working and says, ok, meet me at the police station at the airport. at the airport? there is a police station at the airport? si , senor. we'll meet you there. and, of course, as soon as i pull out, they disappear. pendejos!

checked in for my flight with one minute to spare before they closed it out.

-Helpmann :)They don't, Several federal and tourist police have been dismissed for corruption the last few weeks. Big Changes. Its Hypocritical of the Cheifs but the Judges aint playing at all with anyone.

If you dont like Casas or have semi-pro skills dont go to Santo, go to sosua. However,a crackdown is being contemplated for their also.

ID raids start in Casas NEXT WEEK! Any Minor will close the doors right there and now. Fake ID (HAITIANS) go to jail and then deported.

Lets stop the delusion about monger spending compared to regular tourist dollars. Your comparing pennies to dollars. It aint even close especially when its a non taxed occupation other than the taxes & alcohol sold in the casas!

I know exactly what you are talking about. I think I am going to go back to my old plan of spending a few days in Boca Chica before I go to SD.Due to ticket prices I am flying into DR a couple of days early and do not relish the idea of driving in the capital. I was thinking it might be better to stay in Boca Chica and take the bus to SD if I wanted to go.

I have looked at the BC map and was wondering if somebody could recommend a good hotel in BC or Jaun Dolio where parking would not be an issue. Being on the beach would not be an issue since I will get plenty of sun and fun on the North coast.

They have a small parking lot in the front of the building and a dependable night watchman. The San Souci offers a basic, but clean and girl-friendly room. Had not heard that. However, i doubt that happens. Too much tax Revenue would be missed. It's a follow the money thing and SW'S DON'T YIELD MONEY IN THE FORM OF TAXES OR REALISTICALLY SPEAKING CONSISTENT DONATIONS AND BRIBES. They are the easiest targets as they are the largest deterrent to family tourist traffic.

Let's cut the shit. You guys know i work for Developers. The only thing they care about the street hos going. This is a nationwide policy with aim at attracting investment. Same as Brazil and Puerto Rico as been mentioned. Nothing ruins a million dollar investment like expedia reports of women being disgusted by the $2 hos crawling all over the place.

I like how all mongers think their dollar drives these economies. The sad truth is the dollar build an economic base that eventually drives traffic that supplants the monger dollars and the tout traffic becomes a public nuisance. That's not even getting onto the feminatzis nor foreign governments pressing for the host country to make all prostitution illegal.

Hurricane Tomas is weakening. Thanks for the heads up. This time of the year, I should check for Hurricanes before buying my tickets.

Airline ticket prices are slowly creeping up. Jetblue in September had round trip tickets for $279, now the price is $391 and for some dates this month the price is over $450. Jetblue changed their schedule from JFK, no more very early morning flights.

Guys,

Thanks for all you info. I have been in SD from 14 to 19 oktober and can conform that no SW can be found on Malecon, Still it is quit easy to have fun in SD. Simply go to the end of El Conde, to the parque Colon and sit on the chairs. Both Freebies and semi-profs will try to make contact.

Necessary to speak spanish tough. If you want the easy way go to Sosua.

Also make shure you get an hotel in zona colonial, or you will be spending too much time in taxis.

Remember, honesty is hard to find with the touts, hustling and working the street! The Pastors number is 1-829-863-8158 or Santo who has helped many people on the board here over the years 1-809-743-9798 with personal introductions can pcik you up at the airport and understand english well but doesn't seak well but yiou can understand him for sure!

When I was there last week I think they were getting checked for a possible bust. 2 older M&F couples (age 40-65) dressed well, came in, sat in the lounge and ordered drinks. I was sitting at the bar. They only had 1 girl in the bar area to wait on them. The other girls were not to be found. They stayed about 30 minutes got up and went into each of the 2 other rooms, looked around and left. When I left the manager told me not to talk to anybody outside. I think they were planning a bust or cedula check but the place looked normal. When I walked out no one was around and no one asked me any questions. It looks like they are trying to shut down all these places. This place is well run and you get great value with the chicas. No hard sell and the tips are appreciated without asking for more.
