Thanks, Helpmann. The reason why I asked is cause some Haitian guy I work with (who claims he comes from DR but speaks creole and no Spanish) says that most of the girls are around his color. LOL! I have met a few Dominicans here in NJ and I dont remember seeing any like that.

By the way, Ford, Manolos appears to be a chain. I was in Panama City, Panama, 3 weeks ago and across from Casino Veneto and club Oasis was "Manolos" restaurant. Must be a franchise?
There were a few good looking girls there on the porch at Manolos in Panama City to pickup, but not like Habamos. Has anyone else been at Manolos in Panama City Panama?

But it makes for a decent meal. The patio is a great area for chica watching and there are usually a few working girls eating there. There are definitely some walking by all the time and looking in. But the mgmt frowns on them just walking in for business. You have to go out and get them.
My "friend" from Life Girls used to eat there a lot with other girls. The main reason was price. I got the impression that they would not be adverse to meeting some new clients during the day there. This way they could pocket the entire fee themselves and not have to split it with the house.

I don't know where Npaul is getting his information, but the forum should know that were never ever "generations of slave breeding" in Haiti. The French brought slaves from Africa to Haiti for about 100 years from the mid 1600's to the mid 1700's. They stopped because by then there were so many slave revolts that killed so many French slave owners that they feared bringing even more Africans to the island. They brought more French soldiers instead. That didn't help as Toussaint L'Ouverture led a successful rebellion in 1798 that kicked the French out of Haiti by 1804, the year of Haitian independence.
So, 1) there was not enough time to engage in slave breeding for "generations" and 2) it was ALWAYS cheaper and faster to import more slaves than to "breed" local ones.

It sounds similar. The one in SDQ is not exactly what I'd call "fine" dining but it also has a huge menu, is open 24/7 and has respectable Spanish fare late into the night.
By 3am its mostly patronized by Taxistas, but I've definitely found myself making an appearance for a strong cup of cafe con leche and some Dominican Modongo (mashed plantains with some shredded pork and garlic) at around 3:30am. Modongo is great at soaking up your stomach when you've had too many Presidentes and have a hangover. ;)
I suspect we'll be checking out the one in PTY next month! ;)

Cuban hotels may be the most un-chica friendly places in the world and most people solve the problem by staying in a casa particular - a private apartment or private room in a house. Does anyone know of anything like this in the DR? Are there furnished 1BR places that you can rent short term in Santo Domingo? If so I'd like to know how much they cost and how to contact them.

Not that I know of in Santo Domingo. In Sosua and Boca Chica, yes. Nevertheless, the service and quality of the women in Sosua and Boca Chica is noticeably below that of the women you'll find in Help.

There are a handful of true apartment listings for vacationers in Santo Domingo. You'll find more in Sosua and La Romana.
There is nothing like Cuba's casa particular system in the Dominican Republic.

Whether the Haitians were "bred" in holding pens next to the cane fields by the fanatical French, imported over time in the dark, rat infested holds of slave ships, or just following their human instincts to orgasmic conclusions, they seem to be more and more ever-present, right now, in the DR due to the political mess in their own neighboring country.
In my own limited non-university experience, the Haitianas I have met in the DR were jovial, sexually enthusiastic and built with bodies, full and supple, with all parts designed with healthy reproduction in mind!

The third quarter is traditionally a slow time for domestic carriers and they typically slash prices but with jet fuel as high as it is I never expected to see prices like this. :)

Not that I stay up all night but at least there were places i could go.
The DR is not perfect but the freedom to do what you wanted always made it a great place. The usa has been taking away freedom for years now. Is the DR on the same path.
Sometimes i take the late flight from panama to SDQ which arrives at 11:00PM. Will everything be closed and quiet?
The AA flight prices are very good. Yes, book before August 16th.

Thats not to say you will not have any success. My opinion Sousa and Boca Chica are more suitable for Spanish challenged PFP. Most of the girls know a few simple sentences in English, like what your name? where you from? You want Freaky freaky? You can deduce what the latter is asking? They will quickly size you up, and start fishing for how much money you may be worth. There are quite a few don't so be careful. You may want to be more specific with your question, as far as what areas you are seeking info.

I am not sure but I think the restrictions focus around mainly the tourist cities BC , Sousa etc. Yeap at 12 midnight Sun -Thur the police are out in force to assure the party stops. There are a few more police on the streets, but other than that I did not see a big difference. There were not harassing anyone. I don't know where you will be staying but I saw very few traditional Haitian woman in BC last week. I totally agree with looking for personality and beauty and not the color of the skin.

I have been to both, numerous times. Both places are alot of fun, and will definitely do the trick! I think, however as the war in Iraq drags on (and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on) the real question is where are you flying from and what kind of deal can you get on airfare to both places. Are the air prices comparable?
I remember I could fly from NYC to SJO or SDQ in 2004 for around $300 each (direct) now I've seen airfares to CR of $600 and more. With fuel costs so crazy, the flight price has become most important, especially if you plan on traveling for only a long-weekend.

That is very disrespectful to the others who have taken there time to write the reports. I hope no-one here just throws out this information for you. By taking your time and doing the research you will find alot of other valuable information as well.

Can you advise me on the best Santo Domingo night clubs, like a big disco or something like this, but decent and relatively safes?

These clubs open till 2am on weekends and 12am during the week. Loft is the biggest. Plays house music. Monte Cristo Cafe is small but packed. Pros on occassion at Loft. Haven´t checked out Trio or Nowhere Bar yet.
Hooter type places. Girls wear sexy little outfits. Girls are non-aggressive and some are available for daytime excursions, but some do have attitudes and may decline
offers. I have had a few at both places make dates then not show up. But that is not the norm. La Base is bigger and has Big Screen Direct TV. Both places have hot chics many 7´s and 8´s, and an occasional 9. Food and Beer is good and reasonably priced. Beware, some girls will ask you to buy them dinner there at La Base but will not sit and eat with you.

I have discovered that it is fairly easy to find a quick early morning (7-8am) girl by walking slowly back and forth down Conde from Duarte towards the Parque de Colon (I think that is its name) and simply smiling at the girls. Most of them respond with a smile... and then walk on. But I am batting 1000 (for you non-americans, that is 100%) at finding a willing girl within 15 minutes.
Granted, these have not been the greatest treasures in the world (no experimenting with bareback on these girls), but they certainly took care of my levitra hangover! The first girl was a thin girl whom I had seen hanging out in the park the night before and she was floored when I invited her into the hotel (as if the sunlight changes hookers into ladies). I talked to a Remington chica a few minutes ago, she told me that the place is open, but Monday-Friday until midnight and weekends closes at 2 am. $2,000 pesos. Best time to take a Remington chica is near midnight, she is going to stay with you until 9 am, their Remington breakfast ends at 10:00 am, if you provide her a breakfast she is going to stay with you until noon.

Will be in sdq oct 12-23. Has any one been to Hotel Metur or Hotel Danae recently or other suggestions of comparable hotels? Don't do the pro stuff as I have been married to two Dominicans so far. Still married to second one after ten years. I also will be looking to buy an apartment as my retirement is getting closer. Plan to spend the winters in SDQ. Any suggestions will be welcomed.

thanks.i've been to juan dolio a dozen times, but i've never mongered there. you chose a town where you can have a nice family vacation; however, if you want to get "your freak on," you chose the wrong city. if you don't want to end up paying us$100 for a girl as ugly as your fist, you should start making plans to spend more time in boca chica and/or santo domingo. cabs can be expensive and motoconchos are dangerous on the highway. rental cars are the best option, but if you don't speak or read spanish and are squeamish when driving in nyc rush hour, you're not going to have a good time driving in the dr. perhaps you can take the bus (gua-gua) or hire a driver to take you around. you're a 20 minute drive from boca chica and a 50 minute drive from santo domingo.
btw: most resorts aren't guest friendly, and are almost never hooker friendly. also, there is a club in juan dolio called "illusions." they're women there that you can pull from in the evening.

talanquera is part of a 3 barcelo hotel complex in juan dolio: talanquera, capella and colonia tropical villas. talanquera and capella definetely non guest friendly. colonia tropical is a small 40 villas complex that is next to capella and colonia guests uses the facilities of capella since colonia do not have any " all inclusive" activity or facilities. i stayed at colonia on april and had not problem getting girls inside, just asked the guy at the lobby and he let my girl in for a few hours. i paid him a $5 tip and he was very happy. i also fucked two dominican girls that were staying at capella. there were like a dozen dominican girls staying at the capella that were looking to profit on her stay at the hotel. i fucked a slim black girl, anal included for $30 and banged a cute white dominicana for only $25. my cousing did the same with two other girls. we later had fun with the girls at the hotel disco until they got new clients. there is a club nearby, illusions but never went because of the girls i met in the hotel and the santo domingo girl that visited me at colonia. there are also some girls walking by the beach looking for clients, i saw a cute one but fucking 3 girls in 2 days were enough for me.

Stayed there a few times, in old colonial section of town, very small rooms, have to walk or take cab to get to Malecon; clean place though with good english speaking staff;

Alexalex; am sorry I do not remember details, but Juan Dolio has a several bars/restaurants with plenty of action possible. There is a street parallel to the southern side of the highway where, if one decides to take a walk at night, there are plenty of available girls waiting for business.
While my memory does not serve me well, I can guarantee that any local cab driver could hook a guy up with a pretty woman in a very short period of time. But, you must be able to speak some Spanish.
Given the information you have provided, I recommend that you forget about Juan Dolio. You are in a chica unfriendly hotel, you don't have the language to properly sample the available ladies, and you are a stranger to the DR culture. Santo Domingo, on the other hand, is perfect for a guy like you. The casas are a little pricey, but Casa de Modelas, Casa Theresa or Remington Palace are easy to get to, even with bad Spanish, and you wil always find someone to your liking (there are always a few beautiful girls at these casas, as well as girls willing to indulge you in whatever pleasures that you wish). I have never been up north, but the northern coast sounds like it would be even better for a guy like you.

i am going to sd in oct. i am staying in barcelo talanquera beach resort in juan dolio. is this hotel chica friendly, or is there any clubs or chica places near this city (juan dolio) ?. pleace help me. this is my first time going there and i don't speek spanish.

I think that all of us who have employed the services of the delicious ladies in Santo Domingo have had the same problem as Mia man. You pay the casa for the services, not the lady. Since you have paid up front, you have no built in protection should the situation not work out. Believe me, complaining to the casa will not do anything unless the chica does something illegal (like take drugs in your presence).
The place where I found it easiest to get around this scenario was at the Remington Palace, where a girl could be taken out short time after the bar was paid 2000 pesos. One could convert short time to overnight after sex; the girl was allowed to call into the house and bring the money back with her in the morning (the Remington girls all live in the casa). On those occasions where I decided to leave Remingtons before midnight and thus agreed for TLN, I paid 4000 pesos upfront. With one exception, the girl always left at or before 4 am.
My way of assuring that the chicas spend the night is to offer them a fixed amount as a tip (propina) for sex in the morning. The ones with kids will still want to leave early, but that's OK with me as I find sleep comes easily after a 7 am encounter.
In conclusion, this is my general rule for taking girls in casas back with me.
-Always take the chica home short time. Never arrange for long time in advance.
-If the sex is good, then ask her if she wants to stay the night for the customary extra fee. I suspect that most of the casas will let her stay as long as she has the money to pay their share in the morning. This portion of her earnings should be paid at the time of her departure, although she may insist you pay then.
-If you are forced to pay the remainder up front, offer an extra 1000 pesos ($30) as a tip for a good morning performance. You should specify what you mean as a good performance (I always ask for BBBJCIM as the finishing deed). Its an extra $30, but I don't mind.
Bottom line: if there is no good reason for the girl to be present in your hotel room when you wake up in the morning, the odds are very good she will not be there.
ps. girls from the casino are far less expensive than the casas, and gems can be found there if you are patient. It is no big deal to negotiate TLN with them from the beginning with payment in the morning. If they insist they want the cash up front, go short time and then negotiate the extra time, just like you would do in a casa.

Stayed at Danae in June while apartment hunting in Gazcue. It was okay. I had communicated with a female via email to make reservations and set a price. Then on arrival, the male tried to bump my price 100 pesos. When I corrected him, he had kind of a pissy attitude.
But overall, the room was clean and my stuff was safe. The front porch is nice in the evenings.
Will be in sdq oct 12-23. Has any one been to Hotel Metur or Hotel Danae recently or other suggestions of comparable hotels? Don't do the pro stuff as I have been married to two Dominicans so far. Still married to second one after ten years. I also will be looking to buy an apartment as my retirement is getting closer. Plan to spend the winters in SDQ. Any suggestions will be welcomed.

To reiterate what Fantasy is saying about Ford, I have had the experience of being very ummmmm controversial on this board and had run in's with just about everyone but I must say that "Ford" has always been how shall I say, the most comfortable person to have a disagreement or conversation with even though we may not have been on the same page. Check out Pure on Lincoln for a smaller room, fewer tourists. Hardly any, actually. (And your best bet for tail is to be the only non-Dominican in the club).
Monte Cristo on Churchill, which is usually packed. A bit of an older crowd -- often older married men with their young mistresses.
After hours, try Om in the Colonial Zone on Salome (I think).
Most of these places fill up Thurs-Saturday nights after 11pm or so. The new ordinances have maybe pushed things up a bit. Don't wear ratty jeans or sneakers, though if you look foreign they will let you in no matter what. The Dominicans will wear their finest clothes.
Expect a mix of techno, hiphop, reggaeton, salsa and merengue, depending on the club. Expect it to be very, very loud... so meeting girls involves shouting. Big pluses with the ladies are an ability to dance and an ability to speak spanish. Failing that, be prepared to buy them expensive drinks.
A taxi driver should be able to find any of these places for you, and coming from Danae, dont pay more than 150 pesos -- or 200 pesos if it's late at night and you are grateful for the ride. The drivers may also know of places I dont. Have fun and good luck!

Casa Modelos-went there last fri. nite around 1 am. my 1st trip in 3 years! Maybe 15 girls. Only 2 rated a 6, almost every one else was a dog! Nothing like 3 years ago when there was better quality. No prices quoted. I hi-tailed it out of there without drinking 1 beer and headed over to...

Plaza Caribe - in a not so great area across from the seedy strip club Bon Sua and around the block prom car wash pirot. Car wash pirot has some cuties and Plaza Caribe has some talent from time to time. Probably easier to hook up here as it is a few notches below the others.

My advise is that you reserve for 2 and make it clear while checking in that second guest will come later on.
If you come back late at night with a girl they will try to make her register, if the do they WILL charge approx 25 USD. You have to state it very FIRMLY and CLEARLY that the room is already booked for two and you are not going to accept an overcharge.
This said they will either let you in or take the chica card and make the registration, if the latter happens prepare to argue the day after in order not be charged, as the room has been booked as double.
That said, is a wondeful place to be, it is reasonably girlfriendly and the breakfast is unbeatable.
Ask a room far from the air conditioning engines as they are quite noisy.

The status of this hotel has been reported in both directions. I have stayed here about 15 times. I have never ever been stopped or questioned here. They have never ask a girl who was "on my arm" for anything. I usually have a car and park in the underground garage. Use the back steps to the lobby and head straight for the elevators. What'up mate? The Hilton IS chica friendly, I've stayed there many times (3x this year) Be alittle discreet and don't throw it in everybody's face and you'll have no problem. There are mostly legitimate guests staying there, so alittle discretion is never a bad thing.

is around 33.7 RDP to 1 USD - 1000 pesos is about $30.
Depending on how your dressed at SDQ cabs will quote you upwards of $40 for a ride to a hotel on the malecon, but can fairly easily be negotiated down to $25.

Thanks, sailor02Yes, you can do that. There are various different bus terminuses in Santo Domingo, depending on what direction you are coming from.
I have been by bus/guagua from Boca Chica to SD, but I don't remember exactly where the bus station is, but it is fairly central. From there you can take a taxi to Caribe Tours bus station, your hotel, or wherever you want to go.
The bus takes a while as it meanders through places like Andres and intersections with poorly regulated traffic lights and road construction projects.

There are a few stops of Expreso Boca Chica buses in Boca Chica, I am not sure if it is on Duarte (main) street or the one paralell to it but they are easy to find, there is a bus every 5 minutes or less. Buses have a/c ,are confortable and the cost is an amount equivalent to one dollar. It is an interesting experience to take it and chat with locals (if you know Spanish). The bus stop in Santo Domingo is a little far away from touristic zone but you can tell the driver to leave you near colonial zone and they can take you to a block or two away from the colonial area. If you want to go from Santo Domingo to Boca Chica you have to take a taxi or public car to go from colonial or malecon area to Expreso Boca Chica bus station. Taxi from malecon must be 100-150 pesos, a car 10 to 15 pesos.
The bus station is on the other side of town, but from there you can go to Sousa or Santiago or Boca Chica. The cabs near the bus station are more expensive. when I left the airport I walked to the main road about a mile, then hoped on a bus to Boca Chica for a buck. On the way back I took the same bus back to Santa Domingo and went to Sousa.

The hotels almost everywhere and almost always charge in US$ so there won't be any confusion. Unless you are from Europe then there could be. Let's assume you can translate Euros to Dollars.
Everything else is in RD$ (pesos). Food, girls, beer , groceries, taxis (except the airport who want US$)
A peso is about 3 cents, so RD$10 is about a quarter, RD$20 is about half a buck, RD$50 is a buck and a half and RD$100 is 3 dollars. A tip of US$1 is RD$35 more or less.
So a girl who wants RD$1000 wants $30 nearly to the penny. 2 years ago in Boca Chica they wanted RD$400 and that was less than US$8 when it was 55:1. How times have changed.

Fire struck a strip club after it closed early Monday, killing nine employees who lived on the floor above the establishment, including several dancers, officials said.
The fire at Jazzys was already out by the time neighbors notified authorities of the blaze about 4 a.m., said Col. Rafael Javier Bueno of the East Santo Domingo fire department.
The victims, including six women and three men, died of smoke inhalation and were found on the second floor, Bueno said. They were the only people inside the building at the time.
"Everyone who was inside the club died," Bueno said.
A preliminary investigation indicated an electric short-circuit caused the fire, national police chief Bernardo Santana Paez said.
The fire, which was confined to the interior of the two-story building, charred tables, chairs and much of the dancers' stage. There was smoke damage on the second floor, which was divided into several small bedrooms and a large living space with five mattresses on the floor.
Both of the building's exits had been locked from inside, and damage to a rear door suggested neighbors tried to break in for a rescue attempt, Bueno said.
The windows on the top floor were barred, leaving a single staircase leading down into the club as the only possible escape route.
The exterior, topped with domes and fake minarets evoking an Arabian palace, showed no signs of damage. No other buildings were affected in the rough eastern district of the capital known for its nightclubs.
A few family members stood outside the building Monday morning, some of them weeping.
The club had apparently closed a few hours before the fire started. In a bid to combat crime, the government imposed a law in July requiring all bars and nightclubs to close at midnight on weekdays and at 2 a.m on weekends.

This Marriott is a fine hotel - a bit pricey but worth it. Close to a few clubs, not a far taxi ride to many, many MP's and also walkable to the shopping area where some non-pro's are great to look at. The casino also has some working girls there, but the security may or may not look at your guest and let you up on the elevators. Better to get a "garden room" in the back and then no hassles except a quick $5 to the night guard.

You won´t be too far from the action, but you will be from the beach. At least 30 minutes to nearest beach, Boca Chica. Also, the Jaragua is not girl friendly.
Went to Lapsus on Ave. Independencia the other night. The guard (Henry "El Leon") wanted RD$100 for a drink when I arrived, and another RD$50 for cigarettes when I left. He offers to arrange for anything you want, even over the phone.
There were about 10-15 girls and 2 clients. Most of the girls are 5-7, but I also saw two 8s and a 9. Having them inside is RD$1500 per girl, RD$2000 to take them out (the owner gets RD$800 of those). I set up a meeting place after midnight when the place closes and took out three of the girls for RD$1000 each. Paid RD$1300 for a super-executive motel with jacuzzi and everything and later dropped off the girls close to Lapsus again.
Tried to take photos but two of the girls wouldn't, so I dropped that altogether. Only one of the three did the back door.
FYI: 1 US$ ~ 33 RD$ at the moment

Fire struck a strip club after it closed early Monday, killing nine employees who lived on the floor above the establishment, including several dancers, officials said.
The fire at Jazzys was already out by the time neighbors notified authorities of the blaze about 4 a.m., said Col. Rafael Javier Bueno of the East Santo Domingo fire department.
The victims, including six women and three men, died of smoke inhalation and were found on the second floor, Bueno said. They were the only people inside the building at the time.
"Everyone who was inside the club died," Bueno said.
A preliminary investigation indicated an electric short-circuit caused the fire, national police chief Bernardo Santana Paez said.
The fire, which was confined to the interior of the two-story building, charred tables, chairs and much of the dancers' stage. There was smoke damage on the second floor, which was divided into several small bedrooms and a large living space with five mattresses on the floor.
Both of the building's exits had been locked from inside, and damage to a rear door suggested neighbors tried to break in for a rescue attempt, Bueno said.
The windows on the top floor were barred, leaving a single staircase leading down into the club as the only possible escape route.
The exterior, topped with domes and fake minarets evoking an Arabian palace, showed no signs of damage. No other buildings were affected in the rough eastern district of the capital known for its nightclubs.
A few family members stood outside the building Monday morning, some of them weeping.
The club had apparently closed a few hours before the fire started. In a bid to combat crime, the government imposed a law in July requiring all bars and nightclubs to close at midnight on weekdays and at 2 a.m on weekends.
This is a shame. I passed by Jazzys a few times, but have never been inside. It is located on Avenida Espana, right down the road from La Base.

New to the board, but not the game. Here is a quick update from my recent 3 days to SD.
Stayed at the Intercontinental. I was able to bring up a chica the first night no problem. The second night, the guy at the front desk gave me a hard time. I argued a little and security came over. They ended up just making a copy of her cedula and letting her up. I didn't try to bring up a girl the third night. I would not reccomend the hotel for mongering. It is a very nice place to stay though.

Case Modelos- I went there around 10: 30PM on Saterday. There were about 10 girls working. Two or three really hot ones. Fun atmoesphere girls, drinking dancing, etc. I had a couple of drinks with one, but decided to check out a few places because it was early. In retrospect they had the best girls that night. Didn't talk prices.
Casa Azul- Had a cab driver take me there Friday night. Around midnight the place was dead. No guys in the place. I had ordered a drink before I realized the place was dead. I proceeded to have my drink while being stared and smiled at by 8 women standing in a semi circle around me sitting on a couch with my cab driver. It was one of those DR moments too funny to forget. Girls were mostly 5's and 6's, maybe a soft 7 or two. Didn't talk money.
Lapsus- This was actually a nice place to hang out. They had a stripper and a nice bolero singer the Friday I was there. They had around 10 girls working. I spoke to a few just to pass the time. Didn't talk money because I knew I wasn't ready to pull one out yet. While it was a nice place to hang out, my 6th monger sense tells me the chicas would not be good. A little too much english and I could easily see them asking for a lot of money then jetting. I have no first hand knowledge that would be the case, again, just my feeling.
Casa Theresa- $5, 000 for TLN on Saterday night. A really cute one got the better of me and I went along without negotiation. Sorry guys, I usually try to do my part to keep prices in line. There were about 20 or more girls working. Decent music and decent chicas.
Casinos- The jaragua had A LOT of girls working Saterday night. I would say over 20. A couple worth talking to, but I had a chica with me from Casa Theresa already. The casino in the intercontinental also had 2 or 3 girls working on Friday during the day and night. There was a real hot girl there on Sunday night. I'm not sure if she was workng, but I was too much of a pussy to find out. I think her name was carolina.

I have not found an afternoon massage place in SD since the crackdown a few years ago. I had a favorite girl in Casa Michelles whom I miss dearly. Where in town can we go? First of all, realize that non-pros is a whole different ball game. So change your expectations. It's not easy, but can be lots of fun. Most of the fun is in the hunting, which isnt always successful, especially if you're not young or good looking. Be content to have a good time trying, and if you score, consider it bonus.
Starting with the malls, there are several around town, each with different clientele. The most popular place seems to be Acropolis, on Avenida Churchill. It is full of model-quality chicas, shopping or going to the movies, or takign their lunch break, or drinking at Friday's or Dock. You will see Santo Domingo's upper class girls. The girls working in the stores are obviously less wealthy than the shoppers and so might be more open to your advances. Joke with them, offer to buy them a meal on the top floor at the end of their shift. Only a few blocks away is the MultiCentro -- more of a grocery-department store than a mall, but also full of girls. And a few blocks more, the Unicentro... a more run down mall with girls from more humble backgrounds.
Universities. You're kind of off-rhythm with this, because of Christmas break. Most students are just finishing their exams right now. Maybe monday or tuesday you might find some students around, but not after that. Any taxi can take you to the UASD (pronounced 'la wast'). Walk campus, especially the little grove where people hang out and chat. Or try UTESA, which has a McDonald's next door, where girls hang out.

I just got back from SD on Wednesday after 5 days. I want to give you a short report on what is happening there.
First night I went to Lapsus and met a great chica Marlene. She was an 8 with a 9 body and 10 for personality and action. She gave me a lot of enjoyable mileage. It was 2000 pesos to take her out and well worth it.
The Hilton did not let her in because she had a photo copy ID which Carlos the mgr gave her before she left. The Hilton has no problem with chicas if they have there original ID. They charge you $30 US plus taxes if you do not register your chica when you check in. The Hilton has the best security of any hotel I have stayed in the world. It is a 5 star for $95 per night.
Since we did not get in there we went to 23 Pastuer St to the Mystic which is now a hotel. Emilio who is from Miami made this disco into a hotel by the hour or full day. I paid $1200 pesos inc. for the night. Very safe and clean place. If you want an inexpensive place, try this.
2 nights later I made the big mistke of going to the mansion. My driver who I use from the Hilton the past 2 years took me there. The talent is abot a 5 or less. Of the 15 girls available it was hard pickings. I found a girl who seemed fine but I took her downsairs 10 minutes after we got there. A horrible rush no interest experiance. THis place is a ripoff, STAY AWAY, there is plenty of other places to go. I could not exchange her for another chica because she got undressed, so I took my loss and left. Mangement could care less.
The hotel action at the Hilton is 0, the Marriott had nothing above a 5 where as last year I met a 9 and spent the night with her. Street action is not my style.
All in all I had a good time. If you want to see baseball players and play Poker with them go to the Hilton Casino late and you culd bump into Jeter, Serenano, Dortel, and more.

I was from December 26-31 in Hotel Mercure , Paseo El Conde St. in corner with Hostos St. Hotel Mercure charges $63.00 for a double if you reserve and pay in advance by internet, breakfast included. Additional guest fee is $8.00, taxes included. You have to pay the guest fee if you take a girl to your room, they charge it on checkout.
El Conde is a pedestrian mall that begins on Parque Independencia, monument constructed to honor the heroes of dominican independence from Haiti and ends in the Plaza of Cathedral. It has fast foods like Kentucky, local chicken franchise Pollo Rey, Pizza Hut, Pizzarelli, Baskin Robbins, Bon Ice Cream, Nestle, and some other local restaurants and bars like the recommended Pacos. There are two grocery stores, La Despensa and Plaza Lama, a six pack of 12 oz Presidentes costs 181 pesos on Plaza Lama and 203 pesos on La Despensa. La Despensa offers the alternative to change your beers for cold ones without additional charges. 4 packs of 22 oz Presidentes costs similar on both places, near 190 pesos. Brahma beer is a lot cheaper and is taking some market share to Presidente.
The girls. Action in the zone begins early in the morning. European mongers begin they chase as soon as they end to eat breakfast and the girls know it so you can see girls in search of clients as early as 8:00 a.m. They usually walk up and down El Conde, in the Cathedral Plaza and near main area hotels. There are girls of all types but they are mostly dark to mid skinned girls. Most of them looks like in the 18-25 age range. Large butts and breasts are very common here. Johan- I am not certain what your problems were with Cybercupido, but I can assure you that if I had a month to spend here, I could have pre arranged a rendevous with as many girls as i wanted.
Of course, these are mostly, "normal" girls. However, the girls aren't that pleased with him. It seems that he takes 1500 of every 2500 charged. Furthermore, if the girls do not return within three hours of leaving, he fines them 1000 (the theory being that they are practicing some extra business on the side). Many - if not all of the girls- live at the house as they are recruited from outside the capitol. This was true of the girl I had there (I returned at closing time).
The pricing structure there is like Remington's used to be. If you take a girl out at closing time (bars have to close at midnight now), its 2500 for TLN. Otherwise, its 2500 for ST and 5000 for TLN. But, if you do not get express permission from the owner that you are paying 2500 for TLN, the girl will leave you after 2 hours to avoid a fine, even if you leave at midnight. In other words, the rules are not really rules and the girls are scared of the owner. I learned this the hard way, and had to return to GH to get the owners permission after taking the girl all the way to my hotel at midnight.

I think that Marzo learned some lessons (that he probably already knew but forgot) the hard way about DR casas. First, you must always ask about price before buying a chica a drink. My girl asked for wine too; when I learned it was 300 pesos, I told her no (and whispered in her ear she could have a 300 peso propina instead- "si el sexo es bueno"). Since they only earn 1000 pesos per session, 300 is a damn good tip, and the promise of the tip tied to the quality of the performance seemed to work well. She decided she wasn't thirsty and we moved on.
I think GH has a lot in common with Remingtons Palace, which is now closed. Almost nothing the girl tells you about price can be believed unless confirmed by the manager or the owner. If she tells you 2500 for the night, its probably untrue. That is because the girls are not allowed to negotiate price. EVER. The owners dictate price and see it to their advantage to be almost entirely inflexible. I have read on this board countless times the complaints of guys who were in empty casas and could not negotiate a few hundred pesos off the price. I have only once managed to bargain the price down in a casa.
One tip I have is to arrive at the casa 30 minutes before closing time. 30 minutes is plenty of time to go without a beer (150 pesos) and to tell your chica there is wine in your hotel room. And, the house rules are that its 2500 pesos for TLN after 11:30(vs 5000 before 11:30), which, as I said in my earlier post, you must confirm with the manager before you leave or the girl will still leave you in 2 hours. Finally, they turn the lights on at 11:45. So you can see if the girl who looks great in the near dark is actually really pretty. I have been fooled on many occasions in DR casas into thinking I was bringing back a gem because of poor lighting. All in all, its much more work than it should be to take a girl back to the hotel from a DR casa but once you learn the system, its not so hard. And, in my view, the talent available at Girl House is outstanding.
As for BBBJ- I always ask the girl about BBBJ. In fact, even though I don't care for anal, I always ask about that too. That is because girls who say yes to anal, in my experience, never renege on BBBJ. And I ask about kissing, even though DFK is supposed to be on the menu for all the girls in all the casas. These three questions only take thirty seconds. If the girl says no to kissing or oral without a condom, I walk. In Girl House, there are lots of pretty girls.
As for hotel vs the casa, I must admit that I had no idea it was possible to take a girl upstairs. But I always prefer my own hotel room.

My (Dutch) simlock free motorola C651 (Triband) worked good when in the DR....the only thing i needed was to buy a new loader that handles 110 Volts...as my original Dutch loader is only suiteble with 230 Volts;-)
besides that i also could not use my Dutch plugs;-) Total costs between 150 and 200 DOP....;-)
If you wanna buy a DR cell phone (pree paid=con tarjeta) you allready have one as cheap as 1000 pesos!! These babies are basic (no camera or whatever fancy stuff) but are good for communicating with the chicas...;-) And thats vital...no?

I was eating in the Chinese Pica Pollo place on the north side of Parque Independencia the other day. Cheap, greasy food, cold beer. And in walks a stunner. With child in tow. I have been to Brasil, Colombia, and Argentina many times as well as other places such panama, Costa RIca, Uruguay, Peru, and others in Europe as well. Ironically, I live in Florida, and have never been to the Dominican Republic, but after reading this forum, I have an impulse to just go for a long weekend to scope the place out for myself. I have a wonderful trip planned for Medellin, Colombia(been there a few times already) during mid Feb., but I also have a sudden urge to go to SD. Any suggestions as to when it would be best to go? For example, in two weeks(Jan.), or wait till first or second week in March? Are there any factors such as weather, low season/highseason, festivals( big crowds, and i do not like that), etc. that effect either dates to go?
I am hispanic who is very fluent in spanish and I plan on hitting on regular women. But the reality is that I will only be there for a long weekend, so I will be experimenting with the casas ( it usually takes a bit of time or a few dates to get a piece of ass from a reg. gal). I will be going solo, so I must be extra cautious, yet I have plenty of solo trips under my belt. If I like SD, I will make a return trip in July after my month and a half stay in Brasil.

I just made my first visit to the DR on a short business trip. I read up as much as I could on the forum to familiarize myself with the customs and locales. Thanks to all those that have reported and provided knowledge!
On my first night in town I swung by the Casino Jaragua. There were probably about 10 girls working the floor. I ran into Chana there (who boricuaonline has pics up of at post #444). The had a sign saying $50 for the full night so for those of you looking for a cheaper option maybe Mystic a place to consider…and hell you’re right next door to Girl House and Sky House.
Great session with Sylvia. Nice bj, French kissing, multiple positions, and fucked her twice in about 2 hours time. Although after the first round she started to make a move to leave but I made it clear to her I was getting another round and we still had more time.

Would any of you guys stay in Mystique as your main hotel? Just trying to get an idea of the quality and suitability.
The girls call the owner El Cubano, and I briefly talked with him. He seemed pleasant enough to me. Middle aged guy with too much jewelry. Not pushy and able to hold a conversation about things unrelated to his business.
However, the girls aren't that pleased with him. It seems that he takes 1500 of every 2500 charged. Furthermore, if the girls do not return within three hours of leaving, he fines them 1000 (the theory being that they are practicing some extra business on the side). Many - if not all of the girls- live at the house as they are recruited from outside the capitol. This was true of the girl I had there (I returned at closing time).
The pricing structure there is like Remington's used to be. If you take a girl out at closing time (bars have to close at midnight now), its 2500 for TLN. Otherwise, its 2500 for ST and 5000 for TLN. But, if you do not get express permission from the owner that you are paying 2500 for TLN, the girl will leave you after 2 hours to avoid a fine, even if you leave at midnight. In other words, the rules are not really rules and the girls are scared of the owner. I learned this the hard way, and had to return to GH to get the owners permission after taking the girl all the way to my hotel at midnight.He's a Miami Cuban who is probably doing OK with the money. He has to pay the police and other govt like everybody else but he is charging more than double what other houses do where you can fuck the girls in house. The places on pasteur have been tourist traps for the past five years or so (they charged the same as everywhere else back when there was more competition). If you have the extra cash and not much time I guess it's worth it. He's not really open to negotiating. If you bring in a bunch of guys at an off hour he woudl probalby knock a little off the price.

Look to my post number 437 in this section. There are some pics that were taken at Mystik so you are going to have an idea of how rooms look. My bathroom has two toilets together, thats something I have never seen before.
Rooms are nice, clean, new with A/C, cable, all the facilities of a big hotel. A question to be answered is: do they charge a fee for taking a girl to your room?

I was very unsucessful with mongering in Santo Dominago with pros. One of girls said in Casa Models I believe the girls do not usually with blacks guys. I do not believe that because money is green. I had better perfomances in Rio and Costa Rica. I will say however I had a great sucess at the University, getting with my hotel rep, and meeting couple of Non-pros. Can some break this down this weird but a good thing. I am actually going back in March to SD and Sosua in May. Do not get me wrong Non-pros are great but sometimes you want the PSE. Right now I think about making Santo Dominago will be my non-pro home.
Also the tourist taxi drivers are crooks, I understand over pricing but by almost 100 -300 percent that crazy. Atleast, that led me to talk to the my hotel rep who was happy to help me out the rest of my stay

I recall being charged a normal fare to be transported to the Sheraton Hotel only a block away. When I protested, the driver reminded me that I did not need to enter his cab, but I did because I did not know where the Sheraton Hotel was and he did. This is the price we pay for being in their country, sometimes it sounds excessive.
If you know where you are going you can be sharper with your negotiation skills with the taxi drivers. They are there to feed their families, not yours!

Can you expand on this? Frankly, I am flabbergasted. I am Black and I have mongered in SD with EASE! I have heard that Casa Modelos is not a good place for chicas. Did you try other places? Tabu? Lapsus? Spa Michelle?
A simple rule is that the ultimate ceiling for a cab ride in SD is 200 pesos, anywhere in the city. That is about 6 bucks. So EVEN if you get ripped off, and he charges you 200 pesos for a short ride, we are still only talking about 6 bucks.
Most drivers should be really happy to get 150.
As for negotiating, you dont need perfect spanish, etc. Before you sit in the cab, tell the guy your destination and tell him your fare. He will argue a little bit, but be firm. Maybe go up 50 pesos, or meet him halfway, but never go above 200.
Feel free to wave him off. It happens. Some guys would rather bluff themselves out of the fare. There are LOTS of cabs in the city! Tell him so. Point to the street and say "hay otra taxi".
Unless youre ill or really overweight, you can walk a couple of blocks at the most and find 3 more.

Anyone have any experience with Plaza Colonial Aparta Hotel in Gazcue?
It is on the NE side of Parque de Independencia (El Conde). For 4 days, here are the following prices: standard $188 (full bed or twins beds), Studio $228 (full bed or twins beds, kitchenette, living room), Superior $376 (one bedroom apartment, one bath) and Suite $440 (Two bedroom apartment, two bath). It has 86 apartments, for a total of 160 rooms, organized in a complex of seven independent buildings with swimming pool. This sounds like a winner, I'll email the staff and ask the "required" questions.

I had lot of experiences with taxis in Santo Domingo. I made some short travels from colonial zone to hotel Jaragua area and they always asked 200 to 300 pesos. I always paid 150 except one time I paid 200 but it was 3 am. One day I met a girl at a disco and next day I went to her house in the Oriental zone. She lives in a mansion 5 minutes after Autopista San Isidro motels. 15 minutes or more ride. I called the taxi by phone (Apollo taxi) and price was requested by phone, it was 240 one way. We made a round trip tour back to my hotel and I was ready to pay 500 pesos. Taxi driver said " it is 750 pesos". I opened my wallet, took a 500 peso bill and said to the driver "I am a tourist but I am not a stupid" and left. One guy serviced me well from-to airport-hotel, he is Jeremias Polanco, he has a website that was posted here by somebody, taxidominicano.com He is also available for "nightlife tours" for a price per hour.

I sat there for over 45 minutes one time drinking. I saw when white guys came they hurry around them. I only got a girl when I had to call her over or tell the barman who could tell the difference. I was going to ask why but knew it would be stupid any way choose to have my performance in bed speak for me.
As for the other spots. Girl House was good no problems. Sky the girls where very pretty but only 5 there. With Girl House two houses down and cheaper you have to go with Girl House. The Casinos did fully understand the game. In other countries all you have to do is be in area. I walked around the Casinos sat down maybe for ten to 15 mins. But did get any dimples with the girls. Thanks for information. Because these guys was asking for 300 -800 pesos. I understood when they shown me around and waited in houses until I finish the two hours. But to go down the street it was crazy to charge 250 to 300 pesos. Again in Brazil and Costa Rica the taxis do the samething even in USA with tourist but their intial request is not this crazy. As an additional suggestion on problems with girls and black mongers...
I am only repeating what I have been told, not my opinion.
I have been with some girls that were morena (black, chocolate brown, whatever you want to call it) and they themselves told me that they preferred to avoid black guys because they often don't want to pay afterwards.
This is a generality, of course, but I have been told first hand stories from girls of black guys that will have a girl, ST or TLN, and then make up excuses not to pay her. "It wasn't that good", "I didn't invite her to spend the night",
blah, blah, blah."
A good (girl)friend of mine in Puerto Plata recently had this happen to her.
I suppose after a girl has been stung this way a few times, she may be reluctant to risk it again, -even if it doesn't apply to all.
This is a generality, but it seems some guys get off on abusing women like "bitches" and "hoes" out of some hip-hop video fantasy they have.
Just an example of how bad behavior on the part of some has consequences for all. I would encourage any responsible mongers out there to educate these types.

Usboys - I don't know what to make of your remarks about Casa Modelos. Its pretty sad if what you say is true. It may well have something to do with the level of education/sophistication that CrazySunny mentions.
I have never seen anything like this at Casa Modelos myself, first hand but I'm not saying it couldn't happen. I can best describe myself as a "silk shirt, gold chain wearing white guy" (lol) which the girls tend to be immediately intersted in....but once they realize I speak Spanish and that I absolutely refuse to overpay or waste my money....they seem to lose interest in me just as fast. :D
I usually use Casa Modelos as one of my steady places - I've met and enjoyed evenings with several "regulars" there and have posted some photos of them on this board in the past.
As for your other comment "how do you guys negotiate, since the house prices are already set". Don't believe that. EVERYTHING is negotiable in the DR.
I've been given a so-called "firm" house price at 9pm that drops 1500RDP by the time that I return at 11pm. I've been given a "firm" house price on a Friday night when the place is packed that shrinks by 2000RDP on a Tuesday night when its slow.
My favorite negotiating ploy is that I tell the Casa manager "O.K. I'll pay you full price tonight because I'm really "juiced" for this girl here but if I pay full tonight...... how much am I going to have to pay tomorrow night when I return?"
He says "Señor the price never changes"
"No, no, no.... for me it does....now seriously if I pay full price tonight, how much tomorrow night?"
He usually will scratch off about 1000RDp or so. ($34)
If you want ground zero and your sick of Casas try the casino at the Jaragua.

I am black and would never do such a thing. If anything, I slip them an extra 500 pesos for a "Good Morning Bryan" :-)
Well I really did not want to get into the details because I did not take poll of girls in Casa Modelos. But I notice the girls really did not pay me much attention. I sat there for over 45 minutes one time drinking. I saw when white guys came they hurry around them. I only got a girl when I had to call her over or tell the barman who could tell the difference. When I took one back to room she told me without me asking she normally would not go with Black guys. I was going to ask why but knew it would be stupid any way choose to have my performance in bed speak for me.
As for the other spots. Girl House was good no problems. Sky the girls where very pretty but only 5 there. With Girl House two houses down and cheaper you have to go with Girl House. The Casinos did fully understand the game. In other countries all you have to do is be in area. I walked around the Casinos sat down maybe for ten to 15 mins. But did get any dimples with the girls. I am not into Casinos games so I left. I was later told by some guys on plane who have to play games for about 30- 60 mins then they will come to you. Lapus, It was very dark, but the girls was not cute at all at least the ones I saw. Not sure if I when to Tabu or Spa Michelle (Please provide more information). Taxi driver took me to five different places I was trying to remember all names.

Sorry you had a bad experience in the Capital, don't let it deter you because its not like that with most of the Dominicans. I am a Black american and I personally never had a problem at any of the casas in Santiago, I get admitted to the best clubs and lounges Santiago has to offer, eat in the best restaurants and have the best time with the girls in Santiago. I can go to Ahibar on any day, shake the managers hand, kiss the waitresses and by the end of the night I'll be at a table with cute santiagueras, taking pictures and exchanging phone numbers. It's generally the way you carry yourself in the DR and be forewarned, they are conservative and don't like or tolerate "tigueres", who are guys who dress up in hip-hop gear, i.e. big baggy pants, sneakers, & chain & earings. They don't socialize with them period, they're considered thugs and an embarrassment to decent dominicans. One of the main reasons young NYers get stared at. If you notice, dominicans won't even wear shorts, and they will wear a long button down shirts to the discos, even though its like 95 degrees. Hopefully, you'll have a better time, next time.

I think because of my color many of the women think that I am latino and would prefer not to deal with me, because they tell me that many times dominican men just pay the salida and pay the girl zero after having her all night lol
One time I was with a white friend and they asked me if I wanted a propina for bringing the tourist..I laughed and told her that we are both americans lol
Now I go for the clubs that the Dominicans go to and pay about 1500TLN and thats with my dominican friend getting his cut.
Then you can always befriend a dominican and get him to show you his area, and they will pretty much provide you access with all sisters, neices, cousins for gifts like a yankees hat, sneakers, etc.
Actually, I am dating a Dominican probably be going down often. I have been mongering in different countries for over 15 years. But was a little shock at the women in Casa Models which had the most girls, beside Girl House. I will however go back, because it is stupid where they must think all black guys will not pay the price. But this does not make much sense because you have to pay the house first. Thanks Ford I see you are truly the grandfather in room. Your story in Casinos is a classic. My girlfirend told me how to dress and I do not wear the hip - hop wear so this was not issue.
The best girl I was with was from Santiago. I believe one of guys mention her "Kathy" from the Girl House. I had no problems there and Black guy at the door showed me a great time. He said he was from New Jersey. She told I should go to Santiago next and gave me here # to call if I wanted to go. Again, I did not have bad time. But it was just a little different then Brazil and Costa Rica Mongering. Dominicans are definitely conservative people.

USboys did not have a bad experience. He simply went into a casa and did not get any attention. It happens. When I go to Cristals in POP alone few of the girls will approach me. When I'm with a white friend they're all over him. There it has nothing to do with them not liking black guys. They simply think the white guy will pay more. I once strolled into Franks alone. The woman who runs the place went upstairs to alert the girls that a gringo was in the house. They all came running down the stairs, saw me, and almost in unison said, "where is the gringo". I found this funny. Truth is that 90% of casa girls will consider leaving with you if you are willing to meet their price. There will be always be some chick that doesn't want to go with you for what ever reason.
Contrary to popular belief not all casa girls like white guys. If you're a good looking gent like Ford you can have your pick, but if youre the average american counch potato you're going have some tough sledding. I'm an average looking black guy who happens to speak a little spanish and knows his way around a casa. I usually get what I want at the price I want it with out too much of a problem Not all girls will go with me, but the way I see they are missing out I'm not. As CrazySunny said, domincanas are some of the most approachable and agreeable women in the world. Just go have a good time, conduct yourself in gentlemenly fashion and ignore the ones so ignorant that they'll pass up on a good thing simply because of some prejudicial belief. Take my word for it you will be having some much fun you will not have time to contemplate what you may have missed out on.
Many hate Haitans because they think Haitans steal all the jobs and they think Haitans bring the country down cuz they do all the hard working jobs, whilke Dominicans hang out at the colmados dringing cerveza...Similar to what some red blooded, americans feel about Mexicans, but there is much more animosity down in the DR with the Haitans.
Its not uncommon to read in the papers about a whole Haitan neighborhoods being burned down by dominicans because of an accusation of a petty crime!

I have read about some of that in recent months. In eastern DR, near the border, there have been gang attacks on Haitians.

And these are pretty educated people if they know who the hell Obama is!
Im a newbie monger, but Im becoming more and more convinced that non-pro is the way to go. It's tough if you have only 3 days in the country, I guess. But the more time I spend, the more I find non-pro girls ready to go all over. It really has to do with an attitude adjustment that has taken me a long time to accept.
Dominican girls welcome being told what to do. They welcome a man taking control of the situation -- even ordering a passing girl, "Get over here" = "Ponte a mi la'o". Many girls will keep walking, but a surprising number will come to your side. And gorgeous ones at that. And all you will pay for is an ice cream or a lunch.
Never hesitate and never show ambivalence. If you take control of the situation, many girls will follow you. Firm hand and all of that.

I agree..... in a society that is categorized by its "machismo" ...men are generally expected to take charge of things, and be in control of the affairs of the house as well as those of the bedroom.
Generally speaking I think Dominicanas sense (and at times prey upon) the weaknesses in their men. This is true whether you're talking about a LT relationship with a man living on the island, or a week long "fling" with an American traveler.
If you learn how.... NOT to "play" the victim and you work at your language skills so that you have at least a reasonable command of Spanish - I think you will be well served by this - anywhere your travels take you in Latin America.

Have to agree, with what said about the Non-pros. My experiences were about the same as with women. I took girls to the McDonalds and Ice Parlor down street from the University. I could sense they like men who is respectful but take control. Which is the same I saw in Costa Rica and Brazil. They also knew American politics very well. I was impress they were aware of current American issues.

Just my two cents.
Despite whatever problems still linger, racial relations in the US are light-years ahead of Latin America. In all of Latin America (especially the classes of European origin) social classes are very important and deeply ingrained. Not only regarding blacks, either.
The indigenous peoples (Indians, or “Indios”) are considered very much lower in status.
In the US on the other hand, some people will brag about being “one-eighth Cherokee”, etc. In upper latin society, they can’t understand why someone would broadcast that fact.
(It would be like going around white Mississippi in the 30’s bragging about being one-eighth black).
I also find that in cultures without much material wealth, personal dignity is important. You can be poor, but you need to maintain your dignity. Your clothes may be old and worn, but they are clean. (Any memories for you older guys out there?) You might not have been rich, but your mother/grandmother insisted on such things.
I believe this explains some of the conservative Dominican culture. A “proper” man wears long pants in public. As was mentioned previously, when some American black guys show up decked out in their hip-hop outfits, it might impress the kids, but to most Dominicans, you might as well put up a flashing neon sign that says “Low Class.” I have also observed a table of chicas I was sitting with rolling their eyes at a bunch of (white) guys who were clearly stupid drunk. They were clearly disgusted. They were hookers, but they had certain cultural standards. A chica I have known for a couple of years would be considered “black” in American society, but when another chica referred to being “negra” (black) my friend firmly corrected her, saying that she wasn’t “negra”, but “morena.”
How one behaves in public and treats others in very important in such cultures. Treating a girl disrespectfully or abusively in public is not appreciated by anyone. She might toleratethe humilitation because she needs the money, -but that's all.
On the other hand, treating people (not just chicas) respectfully, politely is appreciated and earns a lot of points respect-wise. The loud, vulgar behavior of hip-hop types is only tolerated as long as they spend money, but behind their backs, they are looked down on, even by the chicas.
At one establishment, I sat having breakfast with my overnight companion and observed a young (stupid) hip-hop type as he left his two overnight girls waiting for their money while he talked with his pal at one of the tables. They laughed loudly and went on about the nights exploits while the girls sat outside the room waiting. After a while, he sent them on their way, without a an offer of breakfast or even a "gracias". My companion rolled her eyes and called them "cangrejos" (crabs). In other words, like insects; low life forms.
When a hooker looks down on you like trash, you are probably are trash.
To be respected, to have real status, act like a “caballero” (gentleman). It will pay great dividends in all sectors of Dominican society. In public, act with a little dignity and courtesy to the chicas and you will always be sought after. I speak Spanish. I smile, compliment them, treat them like women, not garbage, and they love it. In a society where it is important, respect and courtesy are very welcome.
They will always be happy to see you arrive, not glad to see you go.
