As I'm going to be staying in the DR for up to a month, I will try to save money on accommodation, so may try to alternate between staying at more and less expensive places. OldKool, I will check out the details of the hotel Palacio, thanks for that. Jaosousa, the Hotel Barcelo Santo Domingo looks fantastic! I tried to get the price you mentioned using the promotion code you gave me, but the price I got was more like $ 110 per night (including taxes) when I checked it on Orbitz. But you telling me that got me interested and checking other similar websites, and was surprised to see several premium level hotels can be found at decent prices (ie around $ 80 a night). In the Barcelo hotel, how to you make sure you get a room on the 8th or 9th floor with the extra benefits you mentioned, do you have to send them a separate e-mail about that? I don't think you wrote in your post whether it was chica friendly or not, I assume it was though if you stayed there and liked it! Thanks also for the info about Santo Domingo Este. I've been to the Mega Centro mall a couple of times and liked it. Good shops, spacious and loads of decent looking women there. Would you say the streets around there that you mentioned would be safe for a gringo to walk during the day? Have you ever stayed at that other hotel you mentioned, the Aurora del sol, or had any feedback from others who have stayed there? For the hotel Occidental El Embajador, it looks great, best price I found was $ 614 for a week, so about $ 88 a night. From what I can see on the map, it's also in Santa Domingo Este, further out than the Mega Centro mall, correct? What is the area like around that hotel, anything to see / do, is it a safe area to walk around? Staying there though, you would also have to think about taxi costs if you wanted to head towards the clubs around Pasteur at night, for example. By the way, what is AMET, I have no idea? Oh dear, I can see this has developed into a 'loads of questions' type post! Well, I didn't mean it to be when I started writing it! And sorry to ask something else, but I am sure Jaosousa, with your considerable knowledge, could maybe also work out where this area was I was looking for, even with my somewhat strange description;
'I remember when I took the Express Santo Domingo Bavaro bus, just off Avenida Maximo Gomez near to where I stayed, it passed by some interesting looking neighbourhoods on the way around Santo Domingo going east. It is hard to describe as I had never been there before, so I didn't really have my bearings about me. It seemed to me the bus went northwards, out of the centre, then went eastwards, around the top of the centre around a tree lined road lined by a high wall, with a park or maybe a government building behind it? Does this ring a bell with anyone? Anyway, I would appreciate if anyone who knows this bus route could advise me where this was, as I would like to walk around there as it looked like a nice area. '

The Barcelo is $82 a night incl. Tax. First go to the website and get a FF card and you get a 10% coupon. Then make your reservation online. If you have trouble, call the 800 number at centrael reservations and they will book it at the low rate over the phone. I took the Premier room which is on the top floors with access to the food and drink. $101 inc tax. I am staying there 1 night next week to try it out.

Just back from sd, stayed in jaguar apt was ok for 50$ a night. Had a long list of places to check out thanks to you guys! Sd mongering map was very useful for getting around! Sorry if my writing paragraphs etc is bad not a great writer!
1ST DAY:
Sunday went to the parade on Washington street I think! Was good fun plenty of beautiful women went to lapusas on the way back to hotel about 5girls picked a chick around 32 thought a pro would be good bad idea took her to my hotel room for 3500, bad service was to fake coverd BJ and fuck
2ND DAY:
Started of at manolos resteraunt eggs and toast was ok as someone posted before quantity not quality! Went to conde walked from monolos didn't feel unsafe anytime then went to franks to change euros to pesos as posted on site pretty best price for exchanging tried a few other places! Plenty of local chicks shopping very nice! Ate lunch at a small diner can't remember its name was ok plenty of big name places to eat kfc pizza hut etc. Went back to hotel didn't bother with any chica after last nights one.
3RD DAY:
Started of at manolos again had eggs and sausages, sausages were crap not to my liking! Went to plaza acropolis plenty of nice shops for the day! On the way back to the hotel thaught it would be best to get back on the bike again so went to 305, had plenty of chicks mostly 7/8 in my opinion decided on a cute tall girl called marcel was a good service covered BJ fuck 3500 maybe the best looking of my trip I'd say! On the way back to my hotel met 2 street walkers 5/6 between 305 and manolos, they wanted 2 thousand each to go back to my hotel got them down to 1500 for one or 2k for both in the end just took one back to my hotel paid 200 extra at the hotel for uncovered BJ and covered fuck she was very good I have to say probably the best fuck for sure gave her a tip for the taxi.

SD is not an easy place to monger at first. You have to learn the ropes. Check out the casinos for talent you are close and the chicas are usually 7s or close. I use Dominican Cupid to arrange hook ups in advance. You can get some hot chicas this way. If they come from another town to meet you it is to your advantage. You keep them as long as they make you happy then send them packing. They work hard to keep you interested. Play boy Palace is hard to find. It is not far from El Conde and the prices are very good. You may also go to Pacos / Grands.

I can get better prices at most of the Dominican owned venues and better customer service.
Satin Dolls has several women who have been there for years. The big, heavy set bouncer is always friendly, as is the blond hair bartender. I know ISG members who have taken pretty, light skin chicas out of satin dolls and seems they have no complaints.

Well I told him I have never stayed and know nothing about them but I will go somewhere and ask. Has anyone stayed or does anyone know any info on these two apartments or condos? At least one ISG member has stayed in these apartments and he gave them good reviews (I can't remember the name of that ISG member). Another ISG member sent a deposit to reserve the apartment on the Malecon, he had to cancel his trip, and his deposit was quickly refunded. Seems the people who manage the apartments are professional and honest.
I inquired over a year ago and was sent photos of the Catalonia apartment and a map showing its exact location (about 4-5 blocks from the Marriott Renaissance Jaragua Hotel and Casino). The rate I was quoted was $60US per night (included all taxes) , with a three night minimum. Attached are some of the photos they sent me.

el embajador hotel is off of avenida jimenez moya (also known as avenida winston churchill) , south of avenida 27 de febrero and adjacent to avenida sarasota. avenida sarasota is a pretty, tree lined street. the bella vista neighborhood sits above a large park, parque mirador del sur. bella vista and some of the surrounding areas are high end. hoytie toytie, expensive, private school in bella vista, carole morgan school, http://www.cms.edu.do/. bella vista mall is a nice older mall within waling distance of the hotel el embajador, http://www.panoramio.com/photo/1267894.
bq hotel is another chica friendly hotel in bella vista on avenida sarasota, located close to the el embajador hotel, http://www.bqhoteles.com/es/bq-hotel-santo-domingo.html. bq hotel has a rooftop pool and is less expensive than the el embajador hotel. santo domingo east would be over a 10 minute car ride from the el emabajador hotel and bella vista.

I think they are for high rollers or friends of the owners. If you're not in the clique, then you are just a "Mark". You might be better off getting their numbers and setting up an appointment the next day at your place before they work. Drinks are expensive. Me and Mr E paid 300 pesos for our Cuba Libres each. Its really sad because these clubs have so much potential. They are not high mileage chicas, so I guess this is the appeal for the high rollers.

The chicks swarm, but it would cost too much just to interview a couple. They weren't that hot anyway. Mostly thick and pretty pale. Long ass walk to the beach, and when you get there, there's nothing but a busy ass blvd and shitty looking water. So I moved to the Conde area. Like you say, more touristy, more shit to do, but didn't see any really hot ones the whole week I was there. Met a whole bunch of them from online, but none looked like their foto. It all comes down to the quality of the meat and the sauces they prepare to season the meat. I have heard that DR beef is of high quality, and I would not be surprised if their parilladas are primo. Napolitano is a chica friendly hotel on the Malecon (view of the Sea) , walking distance to zona colonial and gazcue (three big hotels and p4p venues). D' Luis Parrillada Restaurant is close-by to the Hotel Napolitano. Al Carbon, in the DR, I have seen seafood served in a ceramic dish with charcoal and the meat cooks in that ceramic dish, while sitting on your table.

Pat'e Palo Restaurant has been recommended to me by various people. It is located near the other restaurants in plaza espana, zona colonial, santo domingo. Bill Clinton has eaten there and some other well known people (the restaurant's website has photos of some of the well known people who have eaten there, including Georgina Duluc, who was born in Santo Domingo). I just want to make a correction. The hot club is Energy on Venezuela where I pulled the college student from my last report. I was there last night with my novia and if you have a little game you can pull a girl out of there. Now, I do not know how much you will be taxed for some ass I. E. In Sd now with a chica from Sosua. Things did not start out very well. Left house 4 in morning to get my flight. SD is not an easy place to monger at first. You have to learn the ropes. Check out the casinos for talent you are close and the chicas are usually 7s or close. I use Dominican Cupid to arrange hook ups in advance. You can get some hot chicas this way. If they come from another town to meet you it is to your advantage. You keep them as long as they make you happy then send them packing. They work hard to keep you interested. Play boy Palace is hard to find. It is not far from El Conde and the prices are very good. Extremely basic rooms I was expecting and an extremely basic room I got, but I wasn’t prepared for the greasy floor, the stained bed sheets, the dirty bathroom, the paper thin door.

A little research can do a great difference, as a lot of little disappointments can add up to lessen the enjoyment of your whole holiday. My first time in the Dominican Republic I was left very unimpressed by both the variety of the food and the lack of flare and atmosphere of the venues I visited. It was my fault.
D’L P is a quality tourist-oriented establishment: above average food, quick service and an excellent location on the malecon, ocean side.
Now nicely relaxed after a margarita and a Presidente, we take a taxi back to our hotel, walk about 200 meters and turn left in Pasteur, home of four p4p bars. I knew of three, but the various pr guys along the street quickly point out a new one: Hotel Venecia.
With one night only to sample the delights of Santo Domingo, remorsefully we skip the new kid on the block and go an ISG tried and tested:

- if I am in Sosua surrounded by a lot of people and spend the night talking to a lot of girls, dancing a bit, checking out what the other mongers do, I have a good time before and regardless of the sex.
- if I am in Pattaya and hop from one riotous gogo to the next, watching the shows and throwing ping pong balls and having interesting conversations with the mamasans while the world passes by in Walking St, I have a good time before and regardless of the sex.
If my evening has been devoid of real fun, than by default it becomes imperative that the sex be great and cheap (by my country of origin standards).
Doing the bars in SD felt more like being inside an FKK in Germany.
If I ever visit la Capital again, I will make a point to skip this type of venues and try a take out from one of the casas.
Anyway: what do those girls survive on? If the bars are empty on a Saturday evening during holiday season, when and how do they make money? Or maybe one customer a week is sufficient and what they aim to?
The morning after I meet my buddy in the lobby, and immediately we proceed with the usual exchange of vital info: was everything ok?, how many shots?, which positions?, and so on. Piecing together and reliving the previous night is half the fun.
We check out, leave our luggage behind and go have a refreshing jugo de chinola at Villar Hermanos.

Just returned from 9 days in Santo Domingo. Traveled with my brother. As have other ISG members, we stayed at the Barcelo Hotel in Santo Domingo. I stayed with my Novia and my brother had a beautiful new chica every 2 days. He wanted to build a chica list for future travels an did with Dominican Cupid contacts. We stayed in Club Premium rooms on the 8th and 9th private access floors. This hotel advertises itself as a 5 star Hotel and it rivals some of the better hotels in the USA. They

We choose to pay for two occupants in each room so there were no hassles at all, even with my brother bringing in a new chica every couple of days. We just register them at the desk and the hotel makes a copy of their cedula. The Barcelo offers ala carte meals or a breakfast option, half board which is breakfast and lunch and a full board which is breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drinks are not included so we brought down our drinks from the Club Premium room. The breakfast and lunch buffets are very good. The dinner buffet depends on the number of registered guests and if their quota isn't met then there is no dinner buffet and you order off the menu, limited to a few selections if you paid for full board. The dinner menu is very reasonably priced and I would not do the full board, only the half board if you are inclined to go

I agree about with what you wrote about the taxis. I asked for a taxi outside the Hotel Barcelo Santo Domingo a few times and the price was double or more from what it should have been. I asked the workers in the hotel to call me a taxi, they called Apolo Taxi Company and a taxi was in front of the hotel within 5 minutes, with fares at 200 pesos (appx. $5US) or less.
Best deal for me in Santo Domingo is the Hotel Barcelo Santo Domingo (used to be called the Barcelo Lina). I booked online through Orbitz for a 7 night vacation package (air and hotel). Orbitz discounts the rate for a vacation package. I used orbitz promotion code "TRAVEL100" which took $100 off the already discounted rate. Anyone can use this promotion code for a 7 night vacation package in the Caribbean, Mexico or Hawaii. I chose the Barcelo Santo Domingo Hotel, club premium room. Rate I paid was $85US per night. Standard club premium room, I received was on the 9th floor. Air conditioning worked fine. Plenty of hot and cold water in the shower. This hotel was recently renovated, including new elevators. When I was there, they had tore up the wood on the 9th floor sun deck (with jacuzzi) and were going to install new decking material.
Club Premium check-in and checkout can be done at the desk in the 9th floor Club Premium lounge. As a worker is checking you in, you can walk over to the small refrigerator and help your self to bottled presidente beer, or coca-cola or 7 up, or white wine, or coffee or red wine or orange or pineapple juice. Food and beverages in the club premium lounge are free when you book a club premium room. The club premium lounge is open from around 6am till 10 or 11pm. Jacuzzi is open during those same hours. I believe the pool is open till around 11pm and there is a bar and lounge near the pool.
The food in the morning and in the evening is all you can eat in the club premium lounge. I really didn't need to go out and eat (smoked ham, smoked salmon, several different imported cheese, etc). I drank about 6 cups of caramel cappuccino for free per day. If I wasn't driving I could have all the bottled presidente beer I wanted, as well as good red and white wine (from Chile or Spain) , all included in the $85US room rate. Other ISG members visited the club premium lounge at the hotel barcelo santo domingo. I entered with 2 chicas at the same time at least three times with no problems. Security at night will stop a chica if they don't like how she looks. Nicely dressed women, who don't look hard core, will have no problem entering.
Early Check-in and late checkout for free, free wifi, free parking, free use of computers with flat screens in the club premium lounge. Lobby has two restaurants (one a Japanese restaurant with sushi) , lobby also has a cigar bar and there is a cigar shop.
US Consulate is about a block away, several Universities on the same street. Caribe Tours bus station about a 3 minute car ride. Zona Colonial about a 10 minute taxi ride away. I booked a travel package with air and hotel and used a promo code from orbitz to save $100 (I traveled alone on the package deal, so my room was single occupancy, but friends visited). An ISG member, new to Santo Domingo, visited with two amigas he met online and got his first SDQ BJ at the Barcelo Santo Domingo Hotel (I visited the jacuzzi deck while he was busy).
The Piano Bar in the lobby shows sports on the flat screen televisions (basketball, soccer, etc) , some nights has karaoke and some nights live music with sexy female performers. Cigar store in the lobby and a cigar lounge with leather sofas attached to the lobby bar.

ThanksFrom ISG member Buscemi, I learned about Microsoft Office Picture Manager, to resize photos, so that they can be uploaded onto the ISG website. If you have microsoft office picture manager you can easily resize photos to "Web. Large (640 x 480 px)".
Irfanview, http://www.irfanview.com Is a free photo editing program, that you can use to resize photos and remove personal personal info embedded in the photo file. I use Microsoft paint, to paint over a face or other part of a photo.
You can right click over the photo file and rename the file to a shorter name and you can also delete personal info embedded in the photo file such as date taken, type of camera, etc (right click over photo file, click properties, click details, click remove properties and personal information).

I was told over a year ago that the new building in the attached photos, might be a hotel. These photos were taken over 3 months ago, so the building should be close, to being opened by now. Seems like it could be a nice place to stay, location on avenida pasteur about 100 feet north of the Malecon, adjacent to the Intercontinental V Centenario Hotel.

I just came back from SD and stayed 4 nights at the Marriott and I tryed the Barcelo for 1 night. This Barcelo is the best hidden secret in SD. I have stayed at the Hilton which I always rated as number 1 except for bringing in chicas but the Borcelo is right up there with being an up to date newly renovated hotel. The whole hotel smells new. I had the Premium room for $102 inc. Tax and use of the 9th floor free Wireless and free local calls. Read previous posts on the 9th floor. Everything you want for free. I could have had the regular room on floors 2-7 but it was $20 more to get the premium. I probably won't go back to the Marriott which is $149, but I use 15K points per night. When you go to the Barcelo website and sign up for a Rewards card they give you a 10% discount that brings the price down to this price. If you can't book online, call there 800 number they will give you the discount with the coupon number over the phone. You can cancel right up to arrival time. Also, the security does not vother you. I was hanging around the first night and talking to him. He is easy to get friendly with, the kid I met. I could have brought anybody up. I had a chica come over in the morning at 10:30am and just got on the elevator.
They have one crazy rule when checking out, you have to wait while they check the mini bar for use. That takes 5-8 minutes. I never use them. Have it checked before when get to your room to make sure it is full. Note: The deck on the 9th floor is totally torn up so you can't use it or the hot tub. That is what I saw from the 9th floor lounge. I couldn't go out because it was raining all day. Book 1 night online if it is in your price range. $82 all in is a good price. Also, they have a restaurant near the front desk that has a buffet or a regular menu. I am not a buffet person, but I had it and it was unreal. They have a chef always cooking on a grill you can see fresh chicken, pork, and many fishes and the salad bar is great and the other selection of hot vegetables is superb. Also soups and a dessert bar. If you like fresh bread you are in heaven. Loaves of differant breads that you cut from the loaf. Ah! A++ I ordered a diet coke and the total bill was about $18. 00USD. Not bad for the selection. Enjoy!

I had a copy of her Cedula with me. I gave hime her phone number and and he told me the name on the account matched the Cedula. Now she has a real phone and an address so she now has a paper trail. So I decide to go to tha Police station. They were very nice to me, as they first called the Marriott security so I filed a report and they have all the above information. Wheather they do anything, I don't know but her name is recorded with the Police. I am sure they have bigger things to fight then chase down my phone which I don't need anymore because a new one was at my house when I got back on Friday. The money, she got a $3000 pesos tip. LOL.
The point I want to make is, who knows who these girls are. Screw them, spend hours with them, but when it is time to go to bed, Send them home!

All bottled beer, wine, juice, water, coffee, pastries, fruits etc. I can drink or eat included in the price. The room was nice with all the ammenities of an executive class room included in it. My only concern about the room was the air conditioner, it never went lower than 82 farenheit. Jaosousa had the same problem two weeks later after my visit but he has been there again a couple of times and said everything was ok.

Hotel Roma 2, the rooms look like they were all recently refurbished, prices starting at $45US. I have not stayed at either hotel roma, I have walked by them. In the past I read, Hotel Roma as being guest friendly. Send them an email and ask if visitantes entrar por gratis (visitors enter for free).

Are there any La Habitaciones / Cabanas or short term hotels within walking distance of the intersection of George Washington and Jiminez Enqrique Moya? See attached image for approximate location. There's a lot of SW's hanging around there and I'd like to take them to a short term hotel.

As I'm going to be staying in the DR for up to a month, I will try to save money on accommodation, so may try to alternate between staying at more and less expensive places. I tried to get the price you mentioned using the promotion code you gave me, but the price I got was more like $ 110 per night (including taxes) when I checked it on Orbitz. But you telling me that got me interested and checking other similar websites, and was surprised to see several premium level hotels can be found at decent prices (ie around $ 80 a night). In the Barcelo hotel, how to you make sure you get a room on the 8th or 9th floor with the extra benefits you mentioned, do you have to send them a separate e-mail about that? I don't think you wrote in your post whether it was chica friendly or not, I assume it was though if you stayed there and liked it!Delta and Jetblue have round-trip, non-stop flights, New York to Santo Domingo, for $298US, for dates in April and May.
On Orbitz, if I do a search for flights, JFK to SDQ, for 7 nights, I can get airfare for $298US. Then Orbitz gives you an option to add a hotel. For the 7 night round-trip airfare, Orbitz offers the Barcelo Santo Domingo Hotel for an additional $528US. If you click add this hotel, the total package price is $828US (math is done by Orbitz) , for a basic room. You can then choose a Superior Club Room (complimentary club premium access) , which will add $147US to the package price. Package price (air and hotel) will now be $974.

I know one DR chica who wants a heater for the water, for her house, so she can bath at night or in the morning with water that does not feel cold. I washed the sand off my skin one time at her home, after the beach. To me the water felt cold and even though it was warm outside, bathing with what felt like cold water in her house was not the most pleasant experience (I would have preferred the water be a little warmer). Some DR homes don't have running water, so bathing is done by splashing water onto your body, using a small container (taking water from a larger container in the shower area).
Some DR homes have plastic containers on the roof, painted black, which I guess hold water and get heated from the sun (I have also seen a steel looking rooftop thing, flat with a round edge, that probably heats water using the sun).The black plastic containers are called Tinacas (spelling might be wrong) , they server 2 purposes. 1 sometimes the water is only turned on a few times a week in the barrios, so they store water. 2 they do get hot with the sun and heat the water.
Where I live, I have water almost always (seldom does it go off). I do have a container (unused garbage can) of water in the bathroom and the kitchen for emergencies (the cleaning lady uses it to clean the house so it gets recycled weekly. I do not have a tinaca and the water is cold in the mornings and evenings. I've purchased a water heater but it trips the breakers in the apartment and is of no use because of that.
When it is really cold, my girl will heat a pot of water and I will mix it in with the water in the container and bathe with warm water. But I'm becoming Dominican and getting used to bathing with cold water.
I do like getting a cabana with good hot water, my favorite lately is Costa Azul. Consistently hot water.

Just to give you perspective one movie ticket in new York is $9. 50. I usually go to the movie theater on Venezuela as opposed to the mega central movie theater because that one is so crowded and I like the other theater better. Here's the highlights of my trip to Santo Domingo a few weeks ago. I was at the Hilton for 5 nights and did not have a rental car. Taxi's were everywhere and girls were available on the street as well.

Where is cabana costa azul?Yes they are, in those areas the water goes out often and the tanks give them a reserve. On of my novias friends lives near the airport and the get water like once a week. But that tank lasts them (most of the time) and the water has been extremely hot coming out of the faucets.
Costa Azul is on the road to San Cristobal, on the right side about midway before the you-turn. Hot water all the time, I've been there 4 times recently. They have cheaper cabanas toward the back, but there still nice.

Some hotels in the DR, can and will deny entrance to known trouble makers or knuckleheads (which is not so bad). If a hotel had a problem with a chica robbing a tourist before, I have no problem with that hotel denying entrance to that thief chica.
One thing to be careful about is the second floor balcony (Esdeku House has no bars on the balconies that face the street). Before staying in a room that has a balcony with no metal bars, I would check to make sure the balcony doors are strong enough to stop a thief.
When I return to Santo Domingo, I'll check out Esdeku House and get more info.

I looked at a couple of those Casas and fell in love. I can't do the price as they are severely overprice but how they have renovated those Colonial spots is truly outstanding. Definitely marketed for someone paying in Euros accustomed to small space for for big $.I visited the Narai Residence one time in zona colonial (www.narairesidence.com). Seems it is located at: calle 19 marzo 105, zona colonial. Calle 19 de Marzo is an easy street to find, it is one of the first streets you can turn right onto, when heading west from the floating bridge on the Malecon. When I visited the Narai Residence there was at least one apartment available for a short term rental (2 night minimum) $100US per night. Secure underground parking, elevator, roof top pool. Area was nice. Inside the building it is a nice restore, mixing modern features with parts of the building that could be 400 or more years old.

GBP at times is absolutely disgusting with smells of funk only described in a Michael Jackson video rivaled only by VM in Brazil. First time I went did not really notice as was wasted on Patron and excited for the dupla (was very good by the way.) On sober subsequent visit noticed it smelled of boodussy! Disagree.Alex Deuce, respectfully, I disagree with you. There is no doubt that Jao has incredible patience and is generous. However, I have seen questions repeatedly being asked on same inane stuff that has been answered perhaps a few weeks back. Granted that I read more the North DR forum so I would not know the details of SD forum.
I also agree with cagep1967 that research is part of the fun - at least it was when I came to the DR forum prior to my first trip. My take is for many, either there is a shortage of time or watching TV is easier than reading but the info you are saying needs to be updated are fairly up to date. I was in Sosua first time in July 2011 and prices have not budged since. For hotel or women. We are not exactly dealing here with pork bellies at CBOT, LOL.
Propensity to willingly mis-inform? I for one, have not seen anyone that has a vested interest in doing so.

Thank you.Many guys like the Jaguar Apart Hotel, it is on a side street about two blocks behind the Marriott Renaissance Jaragua Hotel, I have never stayed at the Jaguar, I have visited there about 6 times. Maison Gautreux is half a block from the Sea (half a block from the malecon, half a block from the Intercontinental V Centanario hotel). I have stayed at the Maison Gautreux about 5 times. It does not have the prettiest rooms (new paint, new bathrooms in most, if not all the rooms). Security is good, Air conditioning was good.
Aparta Hotel Roma has two locations. 1 and 2. I believe Aparta Hotel Roma 2 has the newer rooms, if you choose the hotel roma, ask them beforehand which hotel (1 or 2) you are getting and whether you are getting the newer rooms (I have not stayed at either hotel roma and there are practically no reviews on this site about the Roma hotels, I would want to know about the security at the hotel romas).
Hotel Roma is in zona colonial, which in my opinion is better location in the daytime and early evening, than where Maison Gautreux and Jaguar are located. Zona Colonial has more people walking around on the pedestrian street called el conde. Late at night zona colonial is like a ghost town.
Coppa Disco in hotel melia gets pros at night, Marriott Renaissance Jaragua Hotel casino gets pros at night and there are still some SWs close to Jaguar and Maison Gautreax. Maison Gautreax and Jaguar are a 5 minute walk to; Melia hotel, Jaragua hotel, the SWs on Independencia (not many) , casas 305, satin dolls, la parada and sky high. Baby Dolls and Foxys are within a 10 minute walk. Freelancers in zona colonial and in zona colonial are playboy palace, cafe cita bar and bar 360 (p4p bars) and other bars with non-pros.
15 minute walk from Jaguar to zona colonial, slightly less from Maison Gautreux to zona colonial. I'll try to post some photos of the rooms at Maison Gautreux later today, to give you an idea.
There are other chica friendly hotels.

GBP is a small, hole in the wall, not fancy p4p venue with a bar and rooms. It is located in a commercial office building. They don't allow smoking of cigarettes in the bar area because that don't like the cigarette smoke. To smoke a cigarette you can go near the window, down the hallway from the bar area or stand outside. I have met in person, more than ten other ISG members in santo domingo, who have been to GBP. None of those guys ever said anything to me, about bad odors at GBP. I have previously posted, I prefer GBP earlier in the day (your chance of encountering a stinky pussy will be less, earlier in the day). In the bar area I have never smelled anything foul, even with with some of the chicas giving lap dances, I guess my sense of smell is not like the rat in the movie "Ratatouille" (good movie). Most bars I have been in, usually have a bar smell from the alcohol. GBP, one chica for 1000 pesos. 2 chicas for 1500 pesos (about $20US per chica) , opens from around 2pm to 11pm, Monday to Saturday. If you want a fancy place, don't go to GBP.

I'm making my first trip to DR in June, and arriving in Punta Cana. Will stay there for a few days, before taking the bus to the capital. I will be in the DR for 3 weeks, so my budget for lodging are on the cheap side. Aprox 60 USD / night. I'm more or less fluent in spanish, and have some contacts from social networks which I hope to meet. I like to be able to be at the beach or at least by a pool for daytime activities when I'm in this climate, so I hope this is possible to do also in Santo Domingo. As I understand its quite a hassle getting to the beaches in Boca Chica and Juan Dolio from the capital.
Been searching for hotels in Santo Domingo with swimming pools inside my budget, but have limited success. Also read most of the posts from the last year in this thread trying to find a hotel that fits. Apart-Hotel Plaza Colonial have swimming pool and seems to be ok price wise. This Hotel has bad rewievs on booking sites, and I have no idea if its chica friendly. Anyone here have any experience with this Hotel?
I'm also open for creative solutions where there maybe is possible to access the swimmingpool of a Hotel close by for a fee.

I would consider going to Sosua instead of Sd. I have hung out in SD and had fun. However you need a lot of knowledge to really have a good time. Sosua is made for mongers and the talent is very good. The price for a nice hotels are well within your range plus the beach is in walking distance. Walking distance is the majic word. The clubs, discos, and casas are very convient. What are you looking for. If it a lot of hot available girls then Sosua is where you want to go. PP and caberite is also very close for a change up.

GuacatelaThe new park that opened on the malecon. 5 minutes from the big hotels on the malecon (melia, marriott and intercontinental) , has sand volleyball, sand soccer and from a photo I saw, has a small beach with sand. I have seen the park but have not been to the beach part yet. I will check out the beach part in that park in a few weeks and post here. Taking a minibus or van (guagua) to boca chica or juan dolio is easy.
Apart-Hotel Plaza Colonial seems like an apartment building that has rentals, I have never visited the place and I don't know anyone who has stayed there. According to Google maps its location is just north of park independence, close to zona colonial.
Many times when I have visited the Dominican Republic, flying into santo domingo, I may make a reservation for the first one or two nights. If I like a place I will stay longer, if I don't like a place, I will move to another hotel or to a different city or town.
BQ Hotel in Bella Vista has a pool, chica friendly, price is about $86 on orbtiz (use promo code travel5 to save 5%). Hotel Villa Colonial in zona colonial has a small in ground pool, priced around $65US per night. Hotel Napolitano might sell passes to use their pool.
Santo Domingo is easy. Several Universities with numerous University students, numerous bars some of which have pros. 10 or more pay for play venues and freelancers and streetwalkers. Lots of chicas on the online social networking sites live in and around santo domingo.
In June the new Coral highway will probably be open, which means the travel time by bus from punta cana to santo domingo, will be less.
Some photos I took at villa colonial hotel (I have not stayed there yet and don't know about its chica friendliness policy. Most if not all of the smaller hotels I have used in santo domingo have been chica friendly).

ThanksBoricua Online and Grandnash, I believe have stayed at the new hotel La Morada, you may want to send them a PM asking their opinion of the place (they seemed to like the place from what I remember, you can ask them about the size of the in-room safes). I have not seen La Morada and don't really know its exact location, maybe near calle danae. As Niceb has posted, hotel riparbella is chica friendly on calle danae. Also on calle danae are 4 other small hotels, pleasant residential street where those hotels are.
ISG member Gagoo travels with an Apple laptop. ISG member Gagoo has stayed at the Hotel Mystik (next door to the casas; girls house and satin dolls) on two trips to santo domingo. You can send him a PM, asking about the size of their in room safes or send a PM to ISG member Alex Deuce who probably knows about the size of the in-room safes at the Mystik).
The in-room safe at the hotel maison gatreux was not very big. I travel with a 17 inch $400 laptop and I usually don't use the in-room safes. There are other options for securing a laptop (cable locks and metallic mesh type travel bags than be locked etc.)

GuacatelaIf you stay at the Hotel Romanoff in Sosua, they have an excellent 50 foot pool that has an electromagnetic cleansing system. They have a monthly rate of $450 for an apartment with kitchen. Over 20 days that would work out at about $25 per day. The place is not at all luxurious, but it is in a quiet but central location and is very chica friendly. The rooms are cleaned by a very diligent Russian woman who will also wash and iron your clothes for a small fee. You can cook on site, or there are several restaurants within walking distance.
In Puerto Plata the Puerto Plata Beach club has an even better pool. 75 feet long, and is chica friendly and right on the oceanfront beach on the Malecon. The pool is really spectacular. It is chlorinated, but very mildly, so not really noticeable. Pool has changing color underwater lights at night, and powerful jets like a jacuzzi. Also a waterfall type jacuzzi small pool on the side. Very nice. You can see it on Google Earth.
I think the rate is about $60 per night for single nights, but there is also a monthly rate, or you might be able to negotiate something like $45 per night for a three weeks stay as they are hungry for business.** You can get public taxis to Sosua for a dollar each way and it is a short moto ride from La Sirena supermarket that also has cafeteria, ice cream, Domino's, pharmacy and other amenities.

If you stay at the Hotel Romanoff in Sosua, they have an excellent 50 foot pool that has an electromagnetic cleansing system. They have a monthly rate of $450 for an apartment with kitchen. Over 20 days that would work out at about $25 per day. The place is not at all luxurious, but it is in a quiet but central location and is very chica friendly. The rooms are cleaned by a very diligent Russian woman who will also wash and iron your clothes for a small fee. You can cook on site, or there are several restaurants within walking distance.

If you are staying in the country for 3 weeks the idea of visiting Sosua is very good.Rooms have been robbed at the casona dorada hotel (the metal bars near the outside windows at the casona dorada are easily broken, I would say stay away from the casona dorada until they upgrade the metal bars). I only know of one incident regarding the Discovery Hotel. Discovery Hotel has a good location facing the park independence and is one block from Pacos cafe and the start of zona colonial. I don't believe hotel alcaldeza has a pool, I have stayed there several times and never saw a pool.
It has a small pool, workout room and provides a very good breakfast. I love the place because of the location.

GuacatelaCasona Dorada has had robberies and the owner seems to have done nothing to make the hotel more secure, I would not recommend the casona dorada (there are probably 10 or more other hotels in the same price range in the same area, that have not had reports of robberies). I would not stay at the hotel discovery either, boricua online's cousin was robbed there years ago of about $3 thousand dollars (maybe since then the hotel discovery might have new workers and new owners, so it might be better now).
Worth it to pay and get a membership where you can send and receive private messages.
The delayed responses are nothing to do with whether or not you are a paid member, it may or not have something to do with post count or could just last until you have proven you aren't an idiot. The site is definitely worth supporting though, money well spent.

Foxys charges a cover that they put onto your drink bill. Some chicas do strip shows in Foxys. One chica years ago in foxys gave me her cell number, very secretly, for after work business. Foxys closes around 1am. I met an amazon size Dominicana in foxys one time, she told she lived in santo domingo este.
There might be a lap dance fee of over $20US in Foxys, I did not partake, so no clue how long or how good is the lap dance. I was in Foxys over a year ago, an average looking Dominicana told me the rate was between 6-8 thousand pesos. Tacking on a cover charge to the drink bill without telling me there was a cover charge when I entered (100-200 pesos maybe) made me less inclined to re-visit foxys (dollhouse and foxys are the only two p4p venues in the DR, that I know of that charge a cover charge).
Some pics of a few chica friendly hotels. Hotel Napolitano is close to the baby dolls (not to be confused with the dollhouse) and foxys. Navarro hotel is diagonally across the street from the casona dorada hotel (which now has a new paint job and old defective metal bars near the windows and no in room safes in many rooms). Duque Wellington hotel is across from 305. Hotel Mercure, Palacio hotel and Conde de Penalbe Hotel are in zona colonial.

There might be a lap dance fee of over $20US in Foxys, I did not partake, so no clue how long or how good is the lap dance. .I did, twice, one topless and one full nude, maybe it depends of the chica. The girl that gave the full nude was trying hard for the 6, 000 pesos deal, not worth it.
Dollhouse nude strips are better and cheaper, at least it was a couple of years ago.

Arrived into Las Americas Airport (SDQ) , Santo Domingo, today. Bumpy Jetblue flight, three hours and fifteen minutes flight time from New York. Duty free opens at 4:30AM at terminal 5, jetblue terminal at JFK. Checked in at jetblue and was through TSA security quickly, less than 15 minutes.
Seems there was a group of about ten. 20 year old American guys heading to santo domingo, looked like nerds. My older relative had two pretty dominicanas sit next to him on the airplane, one had a big bulbous bubble butt, big tetas, pretty face, she was sporting some cleavage. My favorite on the airplane was a dominicana chica who looked like the Venezuelan actress / model patricia velasquez (girlfriend of the Mummy in "The Mummy" movie). Also on the airplane were two chicas who I called the Kardashians. They are staying at the same hotel where I am. Half Colombian- half ecuadorian chicas who live in queens, new york, one has some very large tattoos near her pelvic area. Later saw one of them holding hands with a pretty morena dominicana.
Also met today at the hotel two sisters from santiago, who were sporting their large breasts, with their shirts open. Maybe I'll see them later in the hotel's disco. Weather is hot and the presidente beer is cold. Also couples and older American guys here.
Eating some of the Hershey miniatures chocolates now (I put them in the freezer a day before departure, so that they are not melted by the time I get to the hotel in DR). I was knackered yesterday, ate, drank beer and red wine, swam in the pool. I will get my first BJ of this trip at around 7:30am today.
I bought a Blu brand cell phone unlocked on amazon (Blu Samba for around $30US). Small cell phone with a keyboard and takes two Sim cards. Bought it for the older family member to use here in the DR. Bought a Sim card at the Claro store on the second floor of the santo domingo airport for 150 pesos (about three dollars and 85 cents).
Arrival area before immigration has been expanded at the SDQ airport. Duty free shop near the baggage carrousel for arriving passengers, good assortment of alcohol, cigs, etc.
Rented a car with the company I always rent from and was given a new car with less than 1000 miles. Drove past boca chica and was at the hotel within 20 minutes of exiting the airport, easy drive. Will drive further east today. Will visit Klimax, Deseo (p4p venues) and a few regular bars in la romana tonight (Urban, Profesionales, Marinellys). Has been a few years since I hung out in la romana, will see what has changed.
I know you will enjoy the regular bars in La Romana with or with out Spanish. Where will you be staying? I've not looked the board in 2 months. Have a favorita I met at a wedding in Washington Hts. The first day I stayed in Juan Dolio, Barcelo Cappella all inclusive hotel, rates starting at around $55US per person, two people in the room, all you can eat food and all you can drink beverages (alcohol and non-alcohol). The Santiago sisters with the big tits, I met at the bar near the pool. One of the half Colombian-Half Ecuadorian chicas from new york, I talked with while waiting at the front desk. Assortment of people at the barcelo cappella hotel in juan dolio, most people are friendly and enjoy chatting there. It is an OK all inclusive hotel, not a great all inclusive hotel. The all inclusive hotel in bayahibe is about the same price and is a much better hotel. There are p4p venues in juan dolio and usually freelancers. There are some very pretty, dark skin Dominican waitresses, some with sexy bodies, at the barcelo cappella hotel.

Thanks for your replyI drove into La Romana last night around midnight (from Bayahibe) , it was a ghost town. All the bars and pay for play venues were closed. Practically no one was outside, it was like a plague came through and wiped out 90% of the population. I have never seen a Dominican city so quiet on a Saturday night.
Dominican Presidential elections are today (every four years). Seems Bars and most businesses are closed the Saturday before and the Sunday of the elections (except for certain tourist places). It will be nice not to see billboards with "Llego Papa" or the ones for Danilo (Danilo should win in a landslide).
A casino with a disco was open here in Bayahibe last night (venues in certain tourist areas are probably exempt from having to close for the presidential elections). I was told everything will remain closed today (Sunday) in la romana and other cities in the DR for the elections.
Machina Bar in la romana I drove by last night, it was closed. Scores (klimax) p4p venue was closed last night. I saw one SW in Bayahibe last night, as I was driving to la romana.

For 3 nights, for two people, was a little under $60US per person per night, booked on Orbitz using promo code travel5 to save 5. Excellent beach. Excellent service. I drank lots of red wine (vino tinto when in the DR). In my room I had Australian red wine brought from the States (Lindeman's Bin Series).
There is a brick oven pizza restaurant that is open throughout the day and into the night (maybe closes around 2am) , they will make whatever kind of pizza you want (pepperoni, sausage, peppers, mushroom, eggplant, etc).
I hung out here with a Brazilian woman and her French Canadian husband. Also met yesterday a 25 year old, london, england woman, who teaches french and english in la romana and her sexy Dominicana friend who works in la romana.
This country definitely has some women with some fine asses.
Ps. For around $25 extra per night, there are honeymoon suites, rooms are nicer, I saw one on the second floor near the lobby, that had a large outdoor terrace and jacuzzi type bath, totally private.
And the new 4 lane highway, which will go through parts of la romana and pass near bayahibe, on its way to punta cana and bavaro is almost finished.

El Embajador is a large hotel with an excellent pool and is chica friendly (not close to most venues). Barcelo Santo Domingo Hotel, club premium rooms oftentimes are around $120 per night (booking certain trips the rate can go as low as $79 per night). Lots of freebies if you book a club premium room at the Barcelo Santo Domingo (wine, beer, soda, food etc). Good pool, generally chica friendly.

If they break balls, you can easily drive to a cabana, not far from the hilton. If you check in with a chica, then there will be no problem, entering with that chica (entering with multiple different chicas, might be costly or a problem). Send ISG member Sabor a PM and he could give you more info about the problem he had at the hilton.

I've been searching this resort over the last month and haven't seen it less than $113 per night and that is down from $150 two weeks ago. Last year I stayed here for a little over $50 a night. It's good if you go in with one regestered chica and stay with that ONE. I threw a fit when I went in with about the fourth different one and ended up at the Barcelo the next day. Not chica friendly at all but very nice hotel.I have entered the barcelo santo domingo with two women at the same time. I have also had at least 3 women visit in a 6 hour time period. At night, security can be a little difficult. During the day, usually no problem. If you travel alone and book a double occupancy room at the barcelo santo domingo, you probably will have no problems. I have entered the barcelo santo domingo with 95% of the women I wanted, no extra fees.
PLD party headquarters is located in Gazcue, Santo Domingo (calle cervantes and avenida independencia). People were celebrating outside these headquarters the Monday after Danilo won the presidency.
On calle cervantes is la cadena supermarket. I saw the owner of 305 in La Cadena and we chatted. He is always nice to me, even though I only have taken two chicas from 305, in years.

Register with a chica with her name etc. Then if you come back in the middle of the night with a different chica the security just has a print out of names. Tell them the name of the first girl and it should not be a problem. There are two entrances to get into the hilton, the front one and the one on the 5th floor. Usually different security. If you are coming in and out with 4 different girls a day I don't suggest using this trick. But a different one at night, you should be able to get away with it.
Jao, did you book the Barcelo Cappella on Orbitz? I've been searching this resort over the last month and haven't seen it less than $113 per night and that is down from $150 two weeks ago. Visited numerous p4p venues and saw numerous SWs, yesterday. Was with ISG member Carrib and we had a goof. Carrib had a firecracker from Satin Dolls.
Waleska at GBP at 5:38pm yesterday had absolutely zero pussy smell. She was squirting milk from her tits. Good assortment of chicas at GBP, free lap dance and strip show from most of the chicas. 1000 pesos for one or 1500 pesos for two chicas. Bring your own condoms. Com discount code I have is transferable).I needed 2 hotels and I was doing some searching and hot-wire had 3. 5 star going for 60. 00 night so I said hell it can not be the mecure or europa I will take a chance and it came up Hotel Palacio which is good I have stayed there quite a bit in the past. Now originally I was going to book the Bacelo on Orbitz going for 90 and if you upgraded to club premium it was 105 or 110 something like that. Jaosousa I told a buddy about the Barcelo from what I heard from you and he went a couple of months and raved about the Barcelo club premium he was definately satisfied with the Barcelo. I was going to Book that as my second hotel, but I went back to hot-wire again and they had a 4. 5 star going for 79 night so I said hell I will take another chance and bang it was Hostel Nicholas which I have heard is very nice.
Now I know the Palacio policy about chicas but have no idea of the Hotel Nicholas policy if you have to stay with 1 chica without extra charge and if so I have to just with up because I have 3 chicas lined up and I was also going to leave some time free because from past exp I have always ran into something else that was not planned that I wanted to hit. Does anyone know their policy I just assumed they may have a strict policy and If so I would just arrange the chicas differently.
2 hotels and an apartment and 3 planned chicas and of course the extra ones so I planned on being tired for the flight back home
