Calle Mercedes is one block up (north) from El Conde. 3-4 blocks from Pacos cafe (at the start of el conde) , there are two p4p venues, Playboy Palace and Cafe Cita Bar, on calle mercedes. Over a year ago BoricuaOnline added this commentary for Girls House on his SDQ Monger map (which has been viewed over 28, 000 times) : "Girls House has received a lot of bad reviews, bad service from girls working there, plus rude management, they have physically intimidated clients just for complaining about bad service. Stay away from this place."
Maybe Girls House lost some clients because of this commentary. A business changing its name, is one way to get away from past bad reviews.

So it's possible to avoid casas and to take a girl out. Furthermore I prefer just a few hours than having someone the whole night.
I am still looking for someone to share a 2 bedroom apartment in SD. I think we will have much more space in a 2 bedrooms than in a studio apartment or hotel and this for exactly the same price at the end. Of course more expensive if you stay in an hotel during 30 nights.
I wonder how good are all the residence or apart hotel. That's good, because you have the kitchen in it and more space than in an hotel, but it seems that most of them have a reception desk, so it might be a problem.

The side street just west of the Jaragua, had La Parada p4p venue. After Lapsus was bulldozed, seems the Cuban who owned Lapsus, moved the Lapsus sign to La Parada and some of the women from Lapsus moved to La Parada. La Parada p4p venue inside had a vaulted wooden ceiling that was painted white and a gravel parking area to the right of the entrance door. Lapsus on Independencia before is was closed and bulldozed, had a hotel sign attached to the building, rooms on site. The Lapsus on Independencia got mixed reviews, one ISG member posted one complaint, another ISG member said he had fun. The times I stopped in that Lapsus on Independencia, I saw a bunch of what looked like young (18 years old and up) tigers (some seemed crazy). I never hung out there. That Lapsus is gone, building bulldozed.
The Lapsus sign moved to La Parada on the side street west of the Jaragua. La Parada had a bunch of women. Nice area to sit inside. There is one price for 2 hours and another for all night. I believe it's around 2000 for 2 hours and 3500 for all night. In this area there are a lot of options though, probably 6 places with in walking distance. 305 is only good Friday and Sat night when I was there, I think Lapsus has more girls in general.

El Residencial la Fonte hotel rates start at $25US per night, monthly rate starts at $545US (I have not stayed there, nor been inside).I have stayed at The Fonte a few times. Basic quiet place. Casa in Spanish is house. Casa de Cita, House of Dates (appointments) is a discrete way of saying wh_orehouse or brothel. At some venues the women live on site, other venues the women travel to the venue from their homes and return to their homes at night.
The more expensive venues just about always have nice interiors. Usually at least a platform with a stripper pole, some places have pools, some places have rooms on site (the mansion has themed rooms, it is in house that is very nice, like a mansion). Some places are open 24/7. Some places are owned by Dominicans, some by Cubans, one place is owned by a half-German, half-Italian guy, a place in zona colonial is owned by a Canadian.
Prices at p4p venues start at 1000 pesos (about $25US) and go over 7000 pesos (about $180US).
I'll post photos of various of venues, inside and out, to give you an idea. I will also give some information about the owners and whether the place gets generally good reviews or bad reviews (check the thread a day or so back sometimes, some posts get delayed).

I use to love SDQ SWs because they were as hot (or almost as hot) as the girls from Casas and I only paid Road$1000. There was no "haggling" and it was understood the service was for sports fucking. No they are different. I've been at Mint Disco the last two nights. Mint Disco is open at 11pm from Wednesday to Sunday. I didn't pay a cover charge. Pulled a Korean girl that was there with two friend. Took me two days and three dates. Don't want to give many details now because they are at that hotel till Wednesday. It lets you out by the Church in Boca.

Avenida Venezuela has over 5 bar / discos, some of which some ISG members have recommended (Energy club is one). Some attractive women go to the bars / discos on Venezuela. Docks bar in plaza acropolis gets attractive women, hard rock cafe some nights gets a bunch of attractive women, various colmadons and colamados throughout the city that get attractive women. Higher end crowd hangs out in places like praia, plaza uris bars, gotik and other places. There are other bars in zona colonial that are good some nights.

At what time start action at Pure Disco on Friday night?I visited Coppa many times in the Hotel Melia, it usually got going after 11pm. Seems a new company got some of the casino contracts in the DR. Previously the casino at the Melia was called Diamante (Diamond). Now the large, brightly lit casino sign outside that casino has the name of a different company. Seems the new casino company changed all the names of the bars / discos in their casinos to Pure (Coppa became Pure, with some renovations and upgrades to the interior).
For a first time visit to Santo Domingo, Hotel Palacio is a good choice. It is a chica friendly hotel in zona colonial, about 100 feet from from El Conde (the pedestrian only street in Zona Colonial). Hotel Palacio is in what used to be a residence. You will see old brickwork and some large wooden beams in parts of the hotel. You flash your room key card near the lock mechanism for the door to your room and the lock opens (no inserting the room key card in a slot, just flash it near the lock mechanism. Hotel Palacio is owned by an older German guy named George. The manager is another German guy in his 40's (he sometimes parks his silver mercedes benz in the small enclosed parking area at the hotel). Many of the workers have been at the hotel for many years. The security guys at night and the guys who work near the front door during the day, are nice people, when I walk by the hotel they always say hello and we chat a bit. Nothing ever went missing from my room, I would leave my electronics out on the bed. Hotel Palacio has security cameras throughout the hotel.
Some photos I took a few years ago of the hotel palacio. On one corner of duarte and el conde is a department store called California that has good prices for clothes and toiletry type items. That store also has a banco popular ATM machine and a banco popular teller window. On another corner of duarte and el conde (about 100 feet from hotel palacio) is a Jumbo Express supermarket, where you can buy beer, soda, chips, bottles of alcohol (rum, wine, baileys, whisky, vodka etc) , juice, bottles of water etc. Make a left out of the Palacio and there is a pharmacy within a block of the hotel, on calle duarte, where you can buy cialis or viagra or the generic versions.
Around the corner from the Palacio on el conde is a claro store and call center. You can make international calls there, not expensive. You can buy a cell phone there (some under $25US with a SIM card and minutes included) or if you have an unlocked GSM cell phone that takes SIM cards, you can buy a Claro SIM card, which will have a Dominican phone number (809 or 849 area code) for 150 pesos (about $3. 84US). Hard Rock Cafe is about two blocks from Palacio. Freelancers hang out in pacos cafe (grands cafe) on el conde and sometimes walk along el conde. There are three p4p venues in zona colonial. There are about 10 p4p venues that you could walk to from hotel palacio. Late at night parts of zona colonial are very quiet. A taxi from hotel palacio to pure disco in hotel melia should cost no more than 200 peso (about $5. 12US) , rate should be less than 200 pesos. Call a company like Apolo or ask a worker at the palacio to call a taxi for you. There are usually about 5 taxis parked near the Palacio Hotel. Always ask the price of a taxi before getting in. I have walked from near the hotel palcio to where Pure is located at 2am-3am and never had a problem.

I've thought all latin countries were similar in ease, only thing easier would be Asia. My buddy is Dominican and when he goes back he said he's pretty much attacked because everyone knows him. I don't know if you necessarily have to be a stud. If a guy pulls up to a club in a ferrari and is a 5 he still can pick up a 10. If you're American they assume you're rich. If you speak fluent spanish you'll be just fine.

Pure is not always that great. I find it hear to believe there were that many 10s there, you may be grading on a curved scale.I went once to Coppa / Pure and there were easily over a hundred girls rated 8 or more. I spent there a few hours, it was paradise. Next night it was not the same, only can rate 8 or more over a dozen girls. I agree, Pure is not always that great.
Pure can't be compared to Classicos. Classicos is 99% working girls and 1% Latina grandes melones which should be considered a retired working girl. In Pure there are girls that go there to sell sex. i have read allot of the forums posted in this thread and wanted to say thanks to all for posting such valuable information. having just arrived from my trip i have decided to share some knowledge regarding chica friendly locations in the d. r. as previously posted allot of you recommended the jaragua however they are not very chica friendly, i guess there are a few loopholes you can take advantage of, however i was looking for real chica friendly locations and real dominican life, the capital seems all business to me, i talked to one of the cab drivers and i explained what i was looking for, the guy recommended, a place called "kingranch villas" technically it is san cristobal 20 minutes away from santo domingo in the mountains, i decided to check it out a bit leary, nevertheless when i arrived i knew this was the perfect mongering spot. 22 person heated jacuzzi on a mountain top with no prying eyes, i was in heaven, all the amenities i could ask for including high speed internet, hot water etc.
the villa has an optional suv available for an extra 100 per day, i took advantage of and i suggest you do the same, the girls are non working girls i met tons of them in the local town, i even headed down to bani where i noticed plenty of lighter skin girls beautiful, so beautiful and all non working girls, i guess the reason i keep mentioning non working girls is because i have been mongering quite some time now and i notice you get better quality action from non pros, feelings are genuine and deep down i was looking for something real, not too sound soft or anything but, yes. maybe settle down. i am happy to report that on this trip i found exactly that, i met a beautiful 22 year old girl who even took me to meet her family, they treated me like a guest of honor and i really felt welcome. the link to the website is http://kingranchvillas.com

But thanks for the info.Oh yes, the Sportbar near the entrance of the casino is Champions, the area with the large screens near the Merengue Bar inside the casino is managed by 5 Stars. This facility was added with the casino remodeling.
I know, no comparison. I have been to both places, but only once and 10 years ago. But I'll ask anyway as I'm on the ropes.
I have about 5 days and am looking for a destination relatively close to fly to outside the US. The DR seems ideal. Mongering is not my primary motive but ranks high up there, haha. I wasn't thrilled when I visited Boca, but it was okay. It was kind of slummy and I wasn't crazy about the touts, but it's not a deal breaker. Even so, I had a good time. On the other hand, I like good hotels, not something Boca is known for, at least I don't think so. My primary motive is simply to relax, be near the water and away from the hassles of NYC. I'm not a club kid / person, not crazy about getting drunk and simply want to have a nice time with a gorgeous chica, don't we all haha. I don't want to go mongering every day, I'd just like to find one person to spend my time with. Santo Domingo seems to win hands down in terms of what I'm looking for.
HOWEVER, and not to sound like the wishy washy person I am, Boca appeals to me in spite of its sleaziness, or maybe, because of its sleaziness. I'm not a big beach person though, and would probably get bored. But still, I can see hanging out at the beach during the day. At night, I don't know what I'd do since I'm not into bars. I can debate this back and forth and I have, in my mind anyway. Hopefully, I can get some sage advice. BTW, I read back the last few months in this forum as well as the Boca forum. And as another aside, my Spanish is poor to fair, just enough to generally get by.

The wifi reception sucks, especially in the rooms. The gym is hot and damp and hotel staff has to unlock it for you. Plus, the place is kida spooky. It has a strong DaVinci code vibe going. It is clean and the free breakfast is great. Also, note that they do charge $10 apiece for bringing in girls. I specifically called and asked about this before booking and was told there was no charge. However, upon checking out a fee showed up on my bill. I left there after two days and checked in at the Riazor. It was cheaper and closer to better action.

It's roughly 40 pesos to a dollar, while I was there 39 to be exact. I paid her in pesos as I exchanged all of my dollars upon arrival.

Met a super bad semi-pro at the Pure Disco on Thurs night. I wish I'd known earlier in my trip that pretty much every girl in the Pure Disco is selling it. I was a little intimidated at first because it seemed like a regular club. With semi-standard Spanish skills I felt like I didn't have a chance of making a connection. Boy was I wrong. The first girl I met had a friend who spoke English. I bought them a couple of drinks, made small talk, etc. Within making small talk I ask what they do for a living. They started laughing and said "you know what we do." Wow. Cuanto cuestas? She answered $200. I countered $100. She countered $150. I countered $125. Sold. They both walked off for a minute to make some arrangements with friends and the next thing you know I'm getting gestures and propositions from about 4 or 5 girls. This place was stacked with dimes. The next time I'm in Santo Domingo I'm skipping the casas and making a bee-line for this place. Just my luck to find out about it on my last night.

Not a big fan of Casas, but from the Casa prices I'm seeing quoted lately. Now I know why I've earned the honor of being called tiguere and / or tacaño when I visit one.On average, the prices I was being quoted were 7000 pesos all night and 3500 pesos for 2-3 hours.
I've been taking a little flak for the prices that I paid while in SD but from matching notes with other people while I was there, what I paid is about what everyone else was paying. Mind you, I only spoke to other tourists but I think that's the point. When the casa knows for sure that you're a tourist, they know they have the leverage. You're not going to want to waste a whole night negotiating and risk not getting what you want when you're only there for a few days. So they stick firm to their original price or don't drop very much.
Also, I don't know when the last time a lot of these guys visited but I heard from more than one person in SD that the casa prices have gone up. I found out a few days into my trip that the later you take a girl out of the casa the more willing the casa is to negotiate. Which is cool but kinda sucks at the same time. I'd rather get the girl at 10p and make her work all night than get her at 3a and wind up sleeping away a lot of the time.
I stayed in a "superior" room (it had a king size bed and a small sitting area). The wing of the hotel that I was in is definitely spooky as hell. I used a flash in these pictures so it's hard to get an idea of how dimly lit the hotel is at night. Also, most of these portraits are very big. I didn't take pictures of the one's in my room. At night, it felt like the eyes of one of them was following me. I brought a girl to the room each night partly because I feared sleeping alone there.

I thought the reports on TripAdvisor might be isolated or sensationalized accounts. How would you rate the quality of beds at Roma1? I have a tender back and need to avoid those cheap or overused beds that are bowed in the middle or simply are low quality "cardboard on top of foam". I understand this is a subjective answer, but as a point of comparison I stayed at the Hostal Marina Real on the other side of the Puente Flotante in January. Their beds were supportive but a little hard still.
I would rate the HRM's beds as average to above average, or about a solid 6+. Ths in advance for your response.

I just checked out of the Hotel Palacio. It's not a bad place to stay but it could be better. The wifi reception sucks, especially in the rooms. The gym is hot and damp and hotel staff has to unlock it for you. Plus, the place is kida spooky. It has a strong DaVinci code vibe going. It is clean and the free breakfast is great. Also, note that they do charge $10 apiece for bringing in girls. I specifically called and asked about this before booking and was told there was no charge. However, upon checking out a fee showed up on my bill. I left there after two days and checked in at the Riazor. It was cheaper and closer to better action.Damn, that's unfortunate. I was actually looking into the place and was definitely sold on the "spooky" aspect you mentioned :D; but the $10 chica fee is a deal breaker. On average, the prices I was being quoted were 7000 pesos all night and 3500 pesos for 2-3 hours.
I've been taking a little flak for the prices that I paid while in SD but from matching notes with other people while I was there, what I paid is about what everyone else was paying.Did you check out some of the places Jao mentioned?:

On the other hand, I like good hotels, not something Boca is known for, at least I don't think so. My primary motive is simply to relax, be near the water and away from the hassles of NYC. I'm not a club kid / person, not crazy about getting drunk and simply want to have a nice time with a gorgeous chica, don't we all haha. I don't want to go mongering every day, I'd just like to find one person to spend my time with. Santo Domingo seems to win hands down in terms of what I'm looking for.

ThanksFrom JFK to SDQ for September, the last time I checked, Delta had non-stop flights, total round-trip price including taxes and fees was $300US (I haven't checked the prices in a few weeks). Jetblue was slightly more at around $350US total price, non-stop flights (Jetblue has bigger seats and more legroom, than coach in any other airline).
Boca Chica is ten minutes from the santo domingo airport. Some guys have fun in boca chica, just be careful. Two, chica friendly hotels, that have received good reviews in boca chica are http://www.comdata.nl/hotel-boca-chica-candil/ El candil and http://www.costalunga.net/HOME.html Costalunga, with rates starting around $40US per night (I have not stayed in either one).
Always ask to see a woman's cedula (Dominican Identification card). Bring a small (ie, micro one led) flashlight. If you don't find a freelancer you like, you can visit one of the p4p venues in boca chica (10 years ago they used to be called massage houses and I remember one that had a menu of the different massages they offered, sex was included). The current p4p venues in boca chica are listed on a map, I don't know the link for the map. You can ask a motoconcho guy (motorcycle taxi) in boca chica to show you the casas de putas or casa de citas or casa de masajes (mah-sa-hays=massages). Pay the motoconcho guy 100 pesos for his work after he has taken you to all the venues.
Taxi from the airport to boca chica probably around $25US. Some guys like hotel zapata on the beach. From reading the posts, seems you have to be discrete if you stay at the hotel zapata. Some guys have some motoconcho guys get freelancers for them when they stay in boca chica. You could send ISG members Bq Ribs and Hillbilly69 a PM, they know how to have fun in boca chica, as do other ISG members.
Boca Chica gets crowded on the weekends, with people from the city and there will be some fine trim there on the weekends.
Santo Domingo is 30 minutes from boca chica, mini-buses commute back and forth between boca chica and santo domingo, price will be under $3US. You can find a chica friendly hotel in santo domingo for around $40US, in case you get "stuck" overnight visiting Santo Domingo from Boca Chica. Also numerous cabanas in santo domingo and some cabanas along las americas highway between boca chica and santo domingo.
About ten minutes east of boca chica is juan dolio, which has some freelancers and a few p4p venues. Rooms rates start at around $35US per night at http://caribeparaisojuandolio.com/ At caribe paraiso, some or all of their rooms have kitchens, some rooms with balconies facing the sea. The beach at Juan Dolio I prefer (use caution whenever you swim).
You can have fun in boca chica, use common sense and you will be OK.

PS: Paco Club is two minutes from the SDQ airport, it fronts the las americas highway. I believe a Puerto Rican guy from New York, owns that venue, friendly guy who speaks English. Paco Club has a pool, a bar with a dance platform and a stripper pole. I saw about 7 attractive, thick legged women there (not fat). I don't recall the prices, seems he opens in the evening. It is on the north side of las americas, westbound direction of traffic on las americas, under the elevated entrance and exit ramp for the airport road. Bring your own condoms, they open around 1pm and close around 11pm, closed on Sunday.

BoricuaOnline is also familiar with another large popular colmadon. You would probably enjoy a large Rancho Tipico type place (large dance hall) with live music. I don't know of any large Rancho Tipicos in santo domingo. There is a popular local spot on Avenida Independencia, way west, closer to Avenida Luperon. That place had all locals with an indoor and outdoor part.
In Gazcue, the University O and M has a building for its Tourism students. Some pretty women study at that building. Across the street from that University building is a colmado with tables and chairs, where some of the university students congregate on a Friday night (ISG member Koki showed me that spot).

If, like me, you like haitianas you will have a great time. Only a few of them speak fluent French but most speak enough French for you to get by and they will appreciate you more as few Americans speak French.

Much appreciated!I believe the Hotel Palacio policy is $10US if you enter with a guest after 9pm and if you paid the single occupancy room rate. I always asked for the double occupancy room rate (which is about $10US more than the cost of a single occupancy room) and I was never charged an extra $10US guest fee. I can assure you, that I had at least 6 guests visit my room one day at the Hotel Palacio and I did NOT have to pay $10US for each of them (I didn't have to pay anything extra for them). Hotel Palacio is nicer than the Riazor Hotel. Riazor has no pool. During the day, the Palacio is a better location. Hotel Riazor is less money. Riazor is closer to the Hotel Melia and Pure disco and is closer to the casas on Pasteur. Riazor is a good option, but a for first time visitor, overall, if price doesn't matter, I would recommend the Hotel Palacio over the Hotel Riazor.

I was going to the DR on my own, but after talking to a friend who had done it and was taken advantage by everyone, plus the girls he wound up with were less than wholesome! I booked a vacation at a resort in Boca Chica, I believe it is relatively new. But right off the beach, and is secluded, good security, and the women were unbelieveable. The three big things that attracted me were, the girls weren't street working girls, some were college girls working their way thru college, etc. But were nice and extremely clean, second, I felt really safe, picked at the airport by the owner, the resort security, and it was owned by an American. They offered more than any other resort, and the accommodatons were fairly new and modern. Foos, service was great, and they even furnished sex toys and sex furniture to enhance your experience.

I want to come to a decision on a hotel for my 5 day stay at the end of Sept. So far, the Palacio is it, but I just read some negative stuff here, hence my apprehensiveness.
I'm a 60 year old noobie to SD. I want as close to luxury and modern as I can get for $150 or thereabouts. It should be in a convenient area, near the ocean would be nice, be girl friendly and very importantly, have a good wifi connection. [I'll be using an iPad. ] My Spanish is basic and I'll be by myself, so that's a concern too. While the $10 charge for a girl at the Palacio seems to bother some, I don't care about that. What does sort of concern me is the spotty wifi and what some seem to describe as the bizarre interior. I plan to spend a lot of time in or around the hotel relaxing and I don't mind spending a few extra bucks for that reason.

Damn, that's unfortunate. I was actually looking into the place and was definitely sold on the "spooky" aspect you mentioned. ; but the $10 chica fee is a deal breaker. It may not seem like much, but if you're a guy like me who likes to do multiple chicas daily, that $10 per chica starts to add up real quick, LOL. The rooms at the Palacio are already expensive enough by themselves.

I have not stayed at the Hotel Palacio in years. I like the interior of the Hotel Palacio (lots of plants, flowers, some birds, trees, old brickwork and woodwork). Art is a matter of taste. Portrait paintings of people dressed in clothes from hundreds of years ago, fits with the hotel palacio's theme of being an old colonial building.
Double occupancy room rate is usually about an extra $10US per night over the cost of the single occupancy room rate. Seems if a person books at the single occupancy rate and enters with a woman after 9pm, the hotel charges an extra $10US, because the room is now occupied by two people. I had 6 or more guests visit my room at the Palacio one day, (I had paid the double occupancy rate for that room) and I did not have to pay $10US for each of those guests (I was charged nothing extra).
WIFI connection probably better in the first floor rooms at the Hotel Palacio (at least one room on the third floor had an Ethernet cable for the internet, when I stayed there).

Hotel Nicholas Ovando is in a building that was the home of the first governor of hispaniola, parts of that building are about 500 years old. The Hotel Nicholas Ovando is not 100% pro friendly. The larger hotels that have some expensive room rates are generally not 100% chica friendly.
Occidental Hotel El Embajador http://www.occidentalhotels.com/hotels/ElEmbajador.asp Has some rooms that are priced in the range you are willing to spend. The El Embajador Hotel had good WIFI throughout the hotel, when I stayed there years ago. Club level rooms on the 4th or 5th floor, had a Linksys WIFI router in each room (when I stayed there years ago). Lounge area for those club rooms, on the fourth or fifth floor, with free drinks and snacks and its own reception desk. Embajador is the Spanish word for Ambassador. The Embajador is chica friendly, if you stay in a club room, reception will make a copy of the woman's cedula, when she visits with you. El Emabajador is in a nice area, called Bella Vista. There is a large, expensive private school in Bella Vista and the Bella Vista Mall is nice. P4P venues will be a taxi ride away. (SWs at night will be 5 minutes away or less, as well as other freelancers probably close-by). If you just want to lounge at the hotel and don't mind taking a taxi to visit p4p venues, then El Embajador is a good choice. El Embajador is generally considered a businessman's hotel. Lobby has a bar with tables and chairs where you can order drinks and food. There is a small casino in the hotel. Breakfast buffet is in a nice building that faces the pool. Lots of greenery around the El Embajador, there are a group of birds that you will hear sing at dusk, while they sit in a large tree in the front of the hotel. Pool is very nice, with a separate building near the pool that has a gym, sauna and / or steam room.

If I were you I'd go to Las Teranas. Everyone speaks French there. You can take a bus for cheap, I think there's an airport open over there also. You can rent a motorcycle / 4 wheeler to get around, there's lots to do and it's a beautiful beach.How is the action there? Are the prices similar to Sosua or SD? And I don't really want to have a nova, I just I want to be able to negotiate. Someone who speaks basic french or english would be fine because I am not planning on spending the day with only one girl. I just bought a Rosetta stone language software for Spanish. Hope I will be able to learn the basics.
And if most mongers are very opened to show the rope to a new guys, I think I will be fine in Sousa or BB.

It is really a nice hotel and the rooms are very roomy and I know with my rate I do not even get their biggest room, but it was more than enough. The internet worked very well and they had modern TV and the bathroom was roomy with walk in shower and a separate jacuzi like tub that one of the chicas I had really enjoyed herself in and went to work in (LOL).
I would suggest always book for 2 in the room a lot of guys make that mistake of only booking 1 person and than they are surprised when they get chica charges. Now I had a different chica for each of my days there and there was no chica charge, but I am not sure of their policy if you start running multiple chicas in a day in there. I would suggest if you stay here to have your chicas dress casual and not with overly sexual dress with the big heels and very short skirts because in my opinion that would not go over very well in this hotel because this hotel caters to families, history tourists and the like. The monger still would not have a problem in this hotel if he keeps it subtle and low profile
Oh and BTW I have stayed at the Hotel Palacio numerous times and no problem with chica charges or anything and its a nice hotel with good location in the colonial zone . It has everything you named plus a very good breakfast, small roof, top pool and a small gym. The staff is very friendly and it is chica friendly. It is very convenient to everything you will want. I booked on hotwire for $65 plus tax 16. You next to El Conde a pedestrain mall. It is a very safe area made for tourist. It is my favorite hotel in SD. I have used jagua, jaraqua intercontinental. Non were as satisfactory as Palacio. On hotwire it was 3 half stars $65 a great deal.

I ended up booking 4 nights at the Palacio. I went direct through the hotel website because hotwire didn't seem to offer a choice of rooms and I wanted a particular room. Unless I don't know how to use hotwire, which is a distinct possibility. With tax, it comes to about $650, my budget. There is a wealth of info on this board and thanks to everyone who for their helpful posts.

I don't know about the rest of ISG, but the DR section is chocked full of info. The only problem is that it's completely disorganized. Like, a hotel section, restaurant section, etc, would be super. But the site is what it is and I'm not complaining. Besides, I haven't earned that right, haha. That is why I asked about a guide book. So I could have everything in one place. Meanwhile. I have been tediously going through posts and copying and pasting relevant stuff. However, there's like 10 years of posts to go through and it's time consuming! But I will continue on with that.

Non-pro who works in immigration I met my first or second time leaving out of DR a few years ago. This picture was taken two weeks ago after I had her in doggy style pressed up against the sliding glass door of my malecon-view hotel room.

BuscemiIf Jao seems a bit defensive, it is because he's been unfairly attacked by some on this board. I have witnessed it and spoke to him offline. He is an invaluable asset to the DR board and has unselfishly assisted many mongers including yours truly.

Went to their website and tried to make a reservation. Clicked on reservation, input all data, clicked SEND and nothing happened? Window froze. No problem right? Called the hotel but there is no body there who speaks english so I can reserve over the phone. Oh well, Now I will have to choose other options, like either the Riazor or Palacio. Lets see how this goes. At least I have my flight taken care of.

Beware of her. A real bad apple. Only a fool would marry her. (LOL) Well Latin Euro is a hit and miss I and some buddies have use them in the past. The way we did it was each of us had about 10 to 13 girls a piece depending on the package we bought. Now on some list I have had a good hit rate and than some not so good, but I have gotten enough good chicas from them that I would say it works. Now I do not used them because I had just as good success using tagged and facebook and they are free (LOL)

Before I read your replies, I called Riazor Hotel last night and made a reservation. They said it was $55 a night for a single with breakfast included.
This afternoon, I checked my email and found a reply from Rafael of Jaguar. Apparently, he / they did get my 4 attempts! To make a reservation. His email had all of my information that I had input. He wanted to know what type of room I wanted.
"Let me know the type of room you want."
Single with full size bed $45/$50.
Matrimonial with king size bed $55/$60.
Double with 2 full size beds $55/$60.
And then he wrote : "If you need to be picked up at airport advise with flight information."

Hmmm providing airport pickup? I like that service. Rockys in Sosua provides pickup and drop off for members of certain forums. I like that. That saves about $50. The price of a night or a chica. If there is a pickup fee with Jaguar, no problem. I still like the idea that the hotel is taking some responsibility of getting me to their hotel. So far all I have found out is that the hotel charges for 30 USD for "visitors" and that there is a place nearby called "Doll House". Can anyone add to this? Need more intel on Santo Domingo and you guys have never disappointed me.

Just head west on the Malecon, you cannot miss it but you will take your life in your hands trying to cross the Malecon. Good Dominican food, great views and always a lively, mixed crowd.
Another place that is not mentioned very often is El Conocu. Also Dominican food and a bit of a tourist trap during the day but at night there are many Dominicans there enjoying the atmosphere and the hourly dance show. Located up the the street beside Manolos, just past the Jaguar Apartments. Great place to take a chica, guarantee she will love it.

The food is very close to what you get in the US. The chicas seem to realy like the place. They eat Domincan alll the time so this is a treat.

I have eaten great grilled pork ribs in la Sirena with rice and a drink for $6.
I had great ribs on the beach in Sosua, Big D' is the place's name? Also in the public beach in Juan Dolio they serve great grilled meat. I have eaten great grilled meat on street shacks across the city with former novia, ribs, chicken, sausage with guineos verdes, a service for 2 usually was enough to serve 4 for $10 to $12.

So, after doing some research in the site I decided to go to the "Gym Bar" but when I boarded the cab the driver told me there was a newer place, much better than the other one, called Venecia Night Club (C Pasteur No3, Gazcue, Santo Domingo) phone 809 953 5920.
The place is like a low budget Strip Club but the amount and quality of the women is from good to excellent and for all tastes. I picked a girl about 8. 7 to 9.
The "rooms" are garbage, they are dirty, humid and awful so I asked the girl (Sharina) if she had a better idea and she told me (phone 809 660 0300) that it would cost 500 less if we went to my hotel, so I paid the 3000 for her to leave and brought her back to the Hilton. The guys at the Hilton were OK but just asked her to register and charged me 30 USD (apparently a very common thing here).
Then we came to the room and worked on it for 2 hours. It was very late (3:00 AM) so I asked her to leave and today I will see if I go for more of the same or I have a taste of the menu. He he.

Not sure if walking from the airport is a good idea but I heard you can rent a bicycle there, just make sure you stick to the bike lanes.

I posted that it was not a good idea to drink and drive in the DR and for that I was called a piece of sh_t by another member (he also said everyone in New York is a piece of sh_t) , he just put in the reports of distinction a post that contains a description of drinking and driving of a rental car in puerto plata.
Part of the reason I want my posts deleted, is that I do this 100% as a hobby, no financial gain or freebies, nothing given to me. I have picked up newbies at the airport, driven a newbie to the airport, tolls, gas and parking, I paid out of my pocket. I have shown newbies various venues that are not located near the tourist areas for free, nothing given to me for that. Then I read posts by rude people like you and the other guy in Sosua, saying I am operating a business or getting a finders fee for showing a newbie a place.
3000 plus posts and over 2000 attachments (photos, maps etc) I have submitted on this site, to make mongering easier and visiting places easier, all can get deleted along with my username. No more Jaosousa, with that at least, hopefully, it will silence someone like you and the other guy from Sosua. I used to recommend Sosua, puerto plata and costambar. With people like you staying in those places, I would never recommend those places again.
I will continue to fly into santo domingo and spend time with excellent Dominicans, who are intelligent, respectful and nice. I will see guys I have met from this board in santo domingo, we have fun. I will visit beautiful beaches near Santo Domingo and drive on nice roads that are mostly straight and level.
You can continue to be disrespectful and rude along with the other Sosua guy and not post photos or much detail, because in your words you don't know who might be reading this forum (do you have something to hide?).
The owner of this site is a good person.

I found this gem of a restaurant near the La Cadena market and other hotels. It's on Calle Casimiro de Moya parallel to Independencia.
Strange story. I saw the bartender of this restaurant at GBP a couple hours later. She doesn't look like a chica, more like a manager or owner. She was talking to the girls and seemed very official. She looked away when she saw me at GBP.I remember a couple of years ago people mentioned that 56 Pasteur st. Casa and GBP were owned by the same person. 56 was located next to the restaurant you saw her, maybe she is from the area or have business nearby.

I went to the Tipico Dominican restaurant again, and saw her there again. I realized, she was sitting behind the bar, but never serving beer. More like monitoring. Saw her again at GBP. She has to be the owner or the owner's wife.
Below is the pic at GBP of the position I put the girls in. Their head on the two pillows, my knees on the single pillow on the bench, missionary.

Santo Domingo- When a National District sentencing judge ordered him escorted to prison Friday afternoon, deputy Ramon A. Fernandez (Papo) became the country's first lawmaker to ever serve time in a correctional facility *
Judge Saul I. Diaz's ruling rejected a motion by the legislator's defense seeking to allow him to serve out the first six months of the one year sentence on parole and then complete the remaining six at Najayo prison.
The judge, adhereing to the March 28 Supreme Court conviction for 'sequestering' a 14-year-old, instructs Najayo's warden to hold Fernandez for six months, and his release for March 6 for six months on unsupervised parole.

I will be in Santo Domingo in a couple of weeks. I have read all the great info on this forum and I must say that the options are too many for the limited time that AI will be staying in SDQ. Which casas and clubs are a must see for quality girls and interior.

Anyone care to recommend a cutter? I'd prefer to do this before going down (in 18 days!) in case I have a problem. Many thanks.

In Santo Domingo walk down El Conde between Calles Santome & Espaillat and look to your left. There will be some street vendors that deal in cell cards etc. They can most likely hook you up. There is also a Claro store in the same area.
