I've got the macho swagger with the men down there, I don't take any shit from them. Thanks much for an insider's view.

Not knowing what "swagger' actually refers to. Except the literal meaning, and never being much of a "macho", would you please explain the art of "macho swagger" as above? As an infrequent visitor, have not had to deal with too many men (barring taxi drivers or hotel people) ; perhaps because I try to avoid places where men from other countries congregate with one thing. Actually two things.alcohol and women.not sure of the order LOL. On their mind.

I may have a night in Santo Domingo during the last part of the month. I am looking for a place which ideally has all of the following characteristics:

1) Closer to the west side of Santo Domingo. Perhaps in a residential area. So no gazcue or colonial like touristy spots.

2) Close to the Metro (around 27 de Febrero) will be nice but I will have a car.

3) Essential- clean but not fancy- I have problem bringing in people to places that cost more per day than they make in a week or worse.

4) Guest friendly and by that I mean where discretion is the better part of valor. On both sides.

5) Potentially have a cabana within a 10-15 minute driving space.

Thanks to all in advance!

Can you share some more?Amara shaking her ass at various intersections in Santo Domingo (also outside Pacos at the beginning of El Conde) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIrijHN5-Ng&NR=1&feature=endscreen

There are three main East-West streets: El Malecon which runs along the coast (also known as Avenida George Washington and further west is called Autopista 30 de Mayo); Avenida 27 de Febrero and Avenida John F. Kennedy which becomes Autopista Duarte and leads to the highway which you take for Bonao, La Vega, Moca, Santiago and Puerto Plata. Avenida 27 de Febrero has an elevated portion which bypasses numerous traffic lights and intersections (express), same for Ave. Kennedy. Ave. 27 de Febrero also has underground sections which bypass some intersections and traffic lights. To turn off of Avenida 27 de Febrero or Ave. Kennedy at certain intersections you will have to be in the far right lane (local or service type lane) even though you may be making a left at an intersection (oftentimes the middle lanes are express and you can't turn left from them, therefore you have to be in the outside lanes). Heading west on Ave. Kennedy when approaching Avenida Winston Churchill, the middle inside lane (most left) is an exit lane for Ave. Churchill.

In the video you can see some of the elevated sections of Avenida Kennedy, also some of the larger intersections have large modern looking pedestrian bridges.

As an infrequent visitor, have not had to deal with too many men (barring taxi drivers or hotel people) ; perhaps because I try to avoid places where men from other countries congregate with one thing. Actually two things. Alcohol and women. Not sure of the order LOL. On their mind.I was driving near my house, with my girl and her nephew in the car. A guagua was to my left, and the guy that hangs out of the bus that gets passengers and collect fares was waving at me. Now I know a lot of people down here, so I wasn't sure if I knew him or if my girl did or not.

When I asked, she said no. He then continued to blow kisses at her and was gesturing for her number. He must of thought it was OK to do this because I'm a gringo. At the next stop for passengers, I pulled up in front of the bus and left my car in its way, got out and was ready to ***** slap this guy. He apologized profusely with a bit of fear in his face.

Last night I was at Agora Mall with another girl (she has a great ass) , She got out of the car and walked towards the door and she was ahead of me. There was a dominican near the door, going psst psst to her, constantly. He didn't know she was with me. She passed him and while he was staring at her ass, I walked up to his face and asked him "Tienes problema?" He replied no, I then asked "Quieres uno?". He too apologized. The incident with guy from the bus has never happened to me before and for the disrespect I would have really hurt the guy. The second has happened numerous times, I usually give the guys a pass if they didn't see I was with the girl.

Also, with anyone trying to intrude on my personal space or my enjoyment of life in general, I don't give them an inch. I shut them down immediately. Some men down there think the gringos are a soft touch, not me.

I argue with the police, street vendors, whoever I feel is doing me wrong. I'm not an ugly american, by any means, however, I do stand up for my personal rights and am not stupid about it.

I don't get shook down by anyone (except my kids).

As for the women down here, I read a great line by someone (probably a fellow monger, don't recall).

With the women here. Don't ask, tell. Great piece of advice. They need you a lot more than you need them.

Often times, people do whatever they do, because they think they can get away with it so I completely agree with you. I have no problem arguing with anyone if I think I have been wronged. I loved that "quieres uno". LOL but I have never been physical. I just cannot muster whatever it takes to hit someone first and for that matter, I have never been hit by anyone.

I also think your being a man is appreciated by women, in a place where women probably are subjugated to this day in day out. Having said this, with my experience in Santiago, where I rode the local taxis often, never saw behavior on the road you described. So far.

Thanks again!

Thanks to all in advance! This apartment might be owned by an expat, https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/812312. $69US per night to rent. I have not seen this apartment in person, I have a fairly good idea where it might be located. Almost at the western end of the malecon (before the toll, before Haina). It might be good for you, because you can easily enter onto Avenida Luperon from near there and head north to Avenida Kennedy (Autopista Duarte) where you would make a left and then go straight to return to Santiago and Puerto Plata. If the building is located where I believe it is located, there is a good Italian restaurant (Pirata) there, which has discreet outdoor seating facing the Sea, on the shoreline. Ciudad de Amor (so called on google maps) is in that location with at least 6 cabanas (probably a 2 minute drive to the nearest cabana from the apartment building). Prive Cabana is close-by, I have previously posted photos of Prive Cabana. The neighborhood called Herrera is off avenida luperon and has many attractive Dominicanas, drive in that neighborhood on a Friday night is an interesting experience. Jumbo has a modern looking store on Avenida Luperon.

Gazcue is the neighborhood just west of zona colonial. Gazcue has numerous medical offices and clinics, government offices, political party headquarters, stores, pharmacies, large old homes with large pieces of property, apartment buildings and hotels. Generally in Gazcue, you will see more locals than other tourists. Zona Colonial has more tourists, but also has a large percentage of Dominicans who work there or study there or go shopping there or go there to eat or drink.

I'll send another link for an apartment that is less west.

They need you a lot more than you need them. When I read that line I immediately thought of a wingman of mine (the guy who got me on this board actually). It was my first time in DR and we were in Boca Chica at the tail end of it's heyday. We were staying at the Costa Lunga (still $45 to this day) and he had a chick he was dealing with who was a bartender at a new bar that had opened up down the street from the hotel. He called her up and she gave some excuse about whatever. He said look, have your ass here in 15 minutes or don't worry about coming. She was there in 10. I told him to cut the girl some slack; I thought I was hard on women. He said he didn't have time to play around. There are too many women out there. Shit I didn't even speak Spanish back then. I remember on that trip asking him how to say "yesterday" in Spanish. But when I got around those fine ass women in DR, Colombia, Peru, etc, I picked it up quick!

since most guys are just going down for a quick weekend, all the preventive advice in the world really won't matter a whole hell of a lot. having visited countless times and essentially living in the d.r. for a couple of years in the past, i've done my share of stupid things, and in all honesty, sharing them only brings grief on the person exposing his ego to the forum and all that happens is a bunch of ego-stricken posters bash him rather than consider that he was brave enough to offer himself up to help prevent someone else enjoying the same train wreck. all stupid things have their eventual consequences, some greater than others.

as an alternative, i'm going to list a couple or so things for short time visitors that i'd put in my little lettered pocket reference list:

1) never announce when you are going to the d.r.;

2) always tell them (sosua girls / rats / anyone) that you are leaving a week later than your true departure date;

3) always negotiate with the girl of your choice up front;

4) if there is still a problem with service or payment, pay them, smile, let them leave happy they took advantage of you, and then never speak to them again;

5) never use a "street concierge" that will "help translate" or "find the good girls" for you;

6) never buy weed or any other drugs, as easy as it may seem, and as confident you may be "no one will find out";

7) never go with a girl that doesn't have a "cedula" and be sure to confirm the i'd is actually hers;

8) never hook up, regardless of the times they say "it's ok". with an **** girl. this is wrong, and also if you're american, illegal;

9) never give up your contact information, and furthermore i suggest you may even have a d. r, alias;

10) never send money to a chica despite your kind heart, her professed needs, or otherwise;

11) never believe that a girl that is taking money from you actually loves you."teamo, teamo, teamo". it really means nothing to them but they know it strokes your ego;

12) do not go to their house, get around their children, or involved with their family;

13) always treat them well, treat them like a lady and show them a good time and they will almost always return the favor;

14) always have a wingman, and make sure to meet and hang with some of the veterans. they can be pretty strange and quirky at times, but they know the ropes if you do find some trouble;

15) go see a dominican professional baseball game, take a chica, your wingman and another chica. the games are an incredible experience you'll never forget;

16) go there, have a nice vacation, have some fun with the girls, and go back home. as a friend of mine says, never take your vacation home with you.

this is a good start to a successful vacation.

Can you share some more insight with SD newbies such as myself? :

-How many trips to SD did you take before you were comfortable enough to start driving there?

-Do you get your rental cars from the airport? If so, what company would you recommend?

-What is the name of the insurance you should buy ("Casa del conductor?")

-Also, is GPS of any use in the DR?I have not used GPS in the DR (Dominicanas sitting in the passenger seat sometimes give directions). An ISG member who I was giving a ride, used his apple iphone maps program to confirm where to turn one time (he connected to his US cell phone company data service). Nokia has free maps (including for the DR) for some of its cell phones that don't require a data connection to access (after they are installed into the cell phone). Bogiemaker previously gave good information regarding Garmin GPS in the DR.

Casa del Conductor insurance according to ISG member Professor is only available through Hertz rental. I have never rented with Hertz in the DR. The first four car rentals in the DR were with Avis, the last 20 or more rentals have been with Alamo/National. Third Party liability insurance is mandatory if you decline Alamo/National's more costly collision/loss damage insurance. Alamo/National's collision/loss insurance costs about $20 per day and includes third party liability insurance. My MasterCard credit card provides coverage for loss of the vehicle (it does not cover expensive SUV vehicles) therefore I can decline Alamo's $20 per day insurance and instead pay around $10 for their third party liability insurance. I also pay about $4 per day for glass and tire coverage (with that coverage Alamo has replaced free of charge at least 4 tires that were damaged while driving. Avis in the DR tried to charge me over $100 for a damaged non-repairable tire). I always reserve online to receive and return the car rental at the airport. Alamo/National is open 24/7 at the santo domingo airport.

The first time I entered into the City of Santo Domingo, I was driving a rental car. It was a Friday night in December over 10 years ago. My connection to Puerto Plata from San Juan, Puerto Rico was not held by American Airlines (because of high winds my flight from Newark, New Jersey was late arriving into San Juan, Puerto Rico). American Airlines put me on a 4pm flight to Santo Domingo. My 70 year old father had flown in the day before with another family member to Puerto Plata and they were waiting for me at the Sosua Bay Hotel, it was our first trip to Sosua and first trip to the north shore of the DR (we had visited bavaro one time and boca chica twice). When I arrived into las americas airport (SDQ), I rented a car with Avis for the drive to Sosua. My Spanish was not very good. I drove into Santo Domingo, got lost in Santo Domingo, sun went down and after at least an hour of driving in santo domingo, I found the highway toward Santiago. The Dominicans were very nice about giving me directions, I didn't understand everything they were saying. I eventually arrived in front of the Sosua Bay Hotel that night around midnight.

Nowadays there is GPS and smart phones with maps programs. Also youtube where you can see videos of different routes that some drivers have uploaded. Google maps are free and can be looked at prior to a trip. Being a member of a site like the ISG where you can get tips and information about driving prior to a trip are advantages available to you.

A sped up video showing the drive from Zona Colonial to the SDQ airport (las americas airport), taking the pontoon (floating bridge), avenida espana and the las americas highway: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYsxvssK_Yg

In some ways driving in the DR is safer and easier than driving where I live in New York State. In the DR there is no snow and ice on the roads, generally no heavy fog in the DR. Where I live I have to worry about deer, bear, coyotes, foxes, squirrels, rabbits and other animals running onto the road. On a sunny day in the DR, there are places where you can easily drive 100mph on a nice flat, straight, 4 lane road, that passes trees and shrubs, with no other vehicles around, no pedestrians and no animals.

You cannot bring guests, I will need list of visitors and all that kind of nonsense so I essentially told them to stuff it. However I will try this link. I might be coming in from San Cristobal so 30 de Mayo works. At the same time, I was wondering if there is anything in the los prados or zona universitaria. Along 27 de Febrero. I may have to pick up people at places like acropolis and I hate long drives back and forth in a city, where driving is always chaotic what with two wheelers. Thanks again.

Cagep1967, you should probably have your own thread. I am sure you have hundreds of interesting / funny stories to tell! I can imagine that as an American who is living the DR, everyday is probably an adventure! Most of my days are tranquil, I have a main girl who lives with me. She's great takes care of all my needs. She thinks about me all the time. For Valentines day, I got her an eliptical machine for the house (she's put on some weight) , not much thought on my part. For my gift, she got me a coffee mug (I drink several cups a day) with a special picture on it and some special writing, she had it made to order. She also remembered me talking about smoking a hookah, she went out of her way to find a place to buy one and got that for me as well. For me that is a great gift, something I enjoy but would not have thought about buying for myself.

For her birthday in May, I'm going to throw a pool party, outside of the city they have these restaurant / bars / pools. They are great, I'm going to throw her a kickass birthday party and all her friends will be jealous. She likes to show of her american marido and how I treat her.

I love it down here, I make a good living. Things are very affordable for me, my quality of life here is much higher than in the states. I've brought my mother, uncle and cousins down for visits. My mother is coming for plastic surgery real soon, very high end clinic, highly recommended doctor. My mother wants new breasts, tummy tuck, neck and arms done. Less than $4500 per procedure.

I'm working on a deal, where if it comes through, I will be living here tax free for a very long time. Got to keep dreaming.

Casa del Conductor insurance according to ISG member Professor is only available through Hertz rental. I have never rented with Hertz in the DR. The first four car rentals in the DR were with Avis, the last 20 or more rentals have been with Alamo / National.

Third Party liability insurance is mandatory if you decline Alamo / National's more costly collision / loss damage insurance. Alamo / National's collision / loss insurance costs about $20 per day and includes third party liability insurance.Based on my knowledge of two rentals in Santiago from Nelly (Ace rent a car) :

A) Casa del conductor is all BS. It is supposed to be a "hotel" with state supervision instead of throwing one to Jail, and the supervised stay is to avoid flight risks. Now for example Santiago has a "casa" but not Montecristi where I traveled. Now if someone is to tell me that if something happens while driving in Montecristi and I have casa del conductor. The state will drive me back all the way to Santiago, I think it is all hogwash! If you drive locally, it may have some sense.

Be) I have seen this Third party liabliity : to protect you in case you hit someone etc. I am told it is mandatory but when I spoke to a rental company called Economy, the guy said something like: if you show that you have proof of that insurance, they are not going to charge. The fact is, with Nelly, I have not paid anything other than the rental and taxes, the second time I rented. First time, I was way scared so I had bought that liability but figured out after some driving if I drive daytime, not drunk (I am never drunk) , and pay attention I cannot quite run into someone. Heck, I used to drive a BMW in Autobahn at 200 Km / hour. That was way more vigilant driving.

My two cents is that nothing is quite "written in stone" in the DR like in many third world countries. What a visitor will do is a combination of one's comfort with levels of risk tolerance.

A sped up video showing the drive from Zona Colonial to the SDQ airport (las americas airport) , taking the pontoon (floating bridge) , avenida espana and the las americas highway:

In some ways driving in the DR is safer and easier than driving where I live in New York State. In the DR there is no snow and ice on the roads, generally no heavy fog in the DR. Where I live I have to worry about deer, bear, coyotes, foxes, squirrels, rabbits and other animals running onto the road. On a sunny day in the DR, there are places where you can easily drive 100mph on a nice flat, straight. 4 lane road, that passes trees and shrubs, with no other vehicles around, no pedestrians and no animals.Good info Jao, and thanks!

I have not used GPS in the DR (Dominicanas sitting in the passenger seat sometimes give directions).

The first four car rentals in the DR were with Avis, the last 20 or more rentals have been with Alamo / National. Third Party liability insurance is mandatory if you decline Alamo / National's more costly collision / loss damage insurance. Alamo / National's collision / loss insurance costs about $20 per day and includes third party liability insurance. Alamo / National is open 24/7 at the santo domingo airport.

When I arrived into las americas airport (SDQ) , I rented a car with Avis for the drive to Sosua. My Spanish was not very good. I drove into Santo Domingo, got lost in Santo Domingo, sun went down and after at least an hour of driving in santo domingo, I found the highway toward Santiago. Thanks again.Anytime.

Santo Domingo has less motorcycles and scooters zipping around than places like san pedro de macoris and puerto plata. Tripadvisor has a site where people list vacation rentals, called flipkey. An ISG member I know made reservations for this apartment on the Malecon (seems not far from UASD University), he had to cancel his trip and the guy listed on flipkey quickly refunded his money. I have inquired through email to the same guy and he was quick to respond to my emails. Seems he rents at least two apartments, one on the malecon, south of UASD; the other about two blocks east of Maximo Gomez (Ave. Maximo Gomez has the Metro); http://www.flipkey.com/santo-domingo-condo-rentals/p159824/.

This apartment, from the photos, seems to be on Avenida Independencia, probably about a block from the Malecon Center and the Hilton Hotel. UASD is about 3-4 blocks north; http://www.flipkey.com/santo-domingo-condo-rentals/p344485/.

Acropolis Mall is on Avenida Winston Churchill, as Cagep1967 suggested, BQ Hotel on Ave Sarasota (and a few blocks west of Churchill) would be convenient if you wanted to be close to Acropolis; http://www.bqhoteles.com/en/bq-santo-domingo-hotel.html.

Santo Domingo has less motorcycles and scooters zipping around than places like san pedro de macoris and puerto plata. In fact, the only time I had an issue with driving was in Pto Pta. I was stopped at an intersection and after looking to my left steered to make a right turn, only to discover to my horror and dismay that an idiot on a scooter had since sneaked in. To my right. In a f. Ing hurry. No helmet.no nothing and with a little child on the pillion. Just a little knock could have been bad.

I have tried airbnb for santiago and I thought the owners were mostly pain. Two apartments in Santiago I might look into, one has a rooftop jacuzzi that looks like it could be fun to entertain with some Santiagueras (maybe ellas desnuda por la jacuzzi en la noche); https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/256060. And this one with a private pool; https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/773149.

Jarabacoa is very green (many plants) and is close to Santiago, this Country cabin type house in Jarabacoa has a fireplace (you can supply the large oval cognac glasses and cognac, to drink in front of the fireplace with a favorita, LOL); https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/787982

I have visited all of the Ave Pasteur casas. Some people like the lounge, sports bar or pool hall scene (like me).On Avenida Pasteur just down the block from the casas and on the other side of the street is a sports place, supposedly with a bar, billiards (pool tables) and batting cages (baseball). Just south of that sporting place a Haitian guy sells whole fruit from a cart (he probably lives in the building there, with his family, artwork hangs on the walls), just about across the street from him is the new hotel shakey: http://www.hotelshakey.com/

Anyone can buy whole fruit from the Haitian guy, if they are on that street in the daytime.

Bikini bottom can come off in the jacuzzi or pushed aside (I wouldn't bring a screamer to the outdoor jacuzzi for sex, shut off the lights for more privacy). The house with the private pool, the owner seems reasonable.

My experience in Santiago is that they are somewhat less fanatical about stopping guests with female companionship. Hodelpa El Gran Almirante and Hodelpa Centro Plaza I entered with decent looking Dominicanas, without a problem.

Bora Bora Cabaña is nice in Santiago; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkFLNggwW94 (truth in advertising, LOL). Nice finds Jao! When do you plan to be in Santiago? Ill be there 3/22 to 3/25 checking out some non pros I met online. After that, Sosua. Might stay if things go well. If you're going to be around lets meet for a drink.

I tried looking for links of distinction that offer the current scene in SD, but can't find anything less than a couple years old. I've been there about 6. 7 times, the last over a year ago. Mainly, I had a regular sweetie that would stay with me overnight during my stays, then tend to her kids and work her professional job during the day. That well has dried up as my preference is to play the field, as it were. Prior to hooking up with her (and I might add, I met her through a tour guide on El Conde, I did all the usual haunts; Girl House, Doll House (total rip) , Casa de Modelos, etc. I even bagged a couple semi or non-pros I've met on El Conde or in one of the casinos.

I'm booked for late May and would like if anyone can chime in on the current go-to places for quality poon, reasonably priced. I am a Gringo, but have enough lingo skills to carry a conversation and negotiate what it is I'm looking for, LOL. I'm staying at the Napolatino, so guests are no problem. My likes are more than wam-bam (will take it as an option though, I tend to like to take someone for drinks, maybe dinner, show them a good time.

If anyone has the ready link to answering all this in a recent post, by all means, share. I've been to Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Nicarauga and Thailand, so I'm not a newbie; definitely not cheap if it comes to quality. My plan is to stay in the Colonial Zone and Malecon areas for mongering activities; maybe a day trip to Boca Chica.

I am not a member of any such club: one owner (a woman living in NYC) asked me for a list of visitors, like indeed as mentioned at the place of your choice here. So I blew her off. However, I might have found another option through bnb in santiago but the renter is a man. Let's see how that pans out and I will report.

On my last trip I took some heat from guys because I arranged to hook up with an ex's sister. I had the hots for little sister for over a year. Long story short the sex was ok mostly because see was a little quilty about banging her sister ex boy friend. On this trip I arranged to hookup with the old GF. Question how do you handle little sister. You tell her you invited big sis and you would like her to visit to. All is good she is thrilled to visit and we are still good friends. Sexual energy on the dance floor will ne interesting. This is shaping up to be an incredible trip. There is a third sister that may go dancing with us as well. I am considering having a big party in the appartment. It is a huge place with 5 bathrooms 3 bedrooms. Balcony and access to a huge pool. I have few SWs that may want to hang out as well.

Hotel Shakey is about 4 months old, on Ave. Pasteur about 125 feet from the Malecon, some of the apartments (kitchens with stove and refrigerator) might have balconies and a view of the Sea.

If you stay at the Hotel Napolitano you will be close to Plaza Juan Barón; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YePt9OLkXQ. Sometimes concerts in this plaza, some people fly kites there in the daytime, has food kiosks. Hotel Napolitano has Mint Disco which some nights gets an attractive non-pro crowd. Baby Dolls (supposedly open 24/7) and Foxys are on the malecon, just east of the Hotel Napolitano. Also on the Malecon east of the Napolitano is D'Luis Parrilada restaurant, which has outdoor seating on the water (good for grilled meats or to take a chica there for a drink or an appetizer), the menu with prices; http://www.menu.com.do/restaurante-170/DLuisParrillada.html

West of the Hotel Napolitano on the Malecon is a new park called Plaza Guibia. Has a beach, free workout machines, sand volleyball and sand soccer, supposedly free wifi internet. At night Plaza Guibia sometimes gets crowded with people, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXAkDsbTMQA.

There is a cinema close to there as well (Adrians Tropical Restaurant overlooking the water is also close to there).

Agora Mall is nice; http://www.agora.com.do/sitio/ And http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=0egpdIgISYg&feature=endscreen (you can change money at the Mall, there is a western union there and various banks). Blue Mall is also nice with free Wifi http://bluemall.com.do/. Acropolis Mall and Docks Bar I enjoyed when I visited years ago (Hooters there as well).

Bufeo has photos from events, bars and concerts; http://portal.bufeo.com/. Bufeo also lists upcoming events. Santo Domingo Hotel association posts a listing of upcoming events in Santo Domingo, as well as drink specials and live music at different hotel bars; http://venasantodomingo.com/app/do/eventos_more.aspx.

A nice webpage with info about the Zona Colonial; http://www.zonacolonial.com/.

Revere has done well in santo domingo este in the bars on Avenida Venezuela including in Energy Club; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WE_02k7QJW0. He has also met women in the Mega Centro Mall in Santo Domingo Este. Revere also visited what might be a large Colmadon type place with music and dancing, maybe he can re-post info about that place.

Some of the p4p venues that don't get much mention here can be fun. If you like tall, shapely pros, Casa Theresa the times I visited had pros that fit that description, close to casa theresa is pink house. In Naco there is a small place called cats. Pink Pony near Ave. Kennedy had Japanese and Santiaguera pros. Club MC near Ave Delfino is low key. Penthouse was on the roof of a building, the Mansion in Santo Domingo Este was in a nice house. Showgirls had strip shows and p4p (near kennedy and probably maximo gomez if it is still open). One of the pros from GBP I was told was opening her own place.

SWs on Avenida Espana (maybe some in the daytime). Waterpark and the National Aquarium also on Avenida Espana.

Anyone can buy whole fruit from the Haitian guy, if they are on that street in the daytime.I was in SD Feb 28 to Mar 8 with my SD hookup. Stayed at the Jaguar apart / hotel on calle #59 Hermanos Deligne. I found the sports place by accident one day while we were walking by their large parking lot that also has a hand car wash and a restaurant. We were hoping to just have a drink. Then we saw the pool tables and batting cages. They told us we can play but we have to buy a drink in order to play on the table. (Now that I think about it, I don't really believe buying a drink is required to play on the tables, I think they just made that up.)

There were other people there just sitting around drinking, but not using the tables. I saw one couple playing dominos. Some were there waiting for their cars to be finished being washed and / or waxed. We went there 3 days in a row to play pool. A game of pool is 20 pesos (2- 10 peso coins ). Didn't try the food, but I looked at the menu. It looked decent. The bar guy got our lemonade from the restaurant in the parking lot, they were delicious. The beer and mixed drinks are right at the bar where the tables are. They made decent brugal and cokes in styrofoam cups. 150 pesos each. Always too much ice, just like our lemonade. One of the days I came there in a sleeveless shirt. They gave me a t-shirt to wear until I was finished playing. It was a nice place to go to kill some time during the day. Especially if a guy is on lock down and needs something to do with his company during the day.

I think this was mentioned here before, just want to bring the info back to the front. It's a tip on an inexpensive, but decent restaurant in the Gazcue area. It's on Casimiro De Moya (one block north of Ave Independencia) near the corner of Ave Pastuer. It's called Phillipe Dominicana. It's a very small restaurant in a quiet area. Nice place to bring a date or friends. They have a small menu of dominican dishes. The food is delicious. If you are also sick of inflated bill / checks because of itbis and other taxes, then this is the place for you. They serve lunch and dinner. I think they open around 11:30am & close around 7pm. It's best to come there early or mid afternoon. It is a very cozy & popular place for the locals, and they tend to run out of food selections very quickly. I ate there most times. Clean, good service. The last time I went there, we ordered two meals to go. 2 separate containers of rice & beans, with chicken (each with a little salad) , and one order of avocado. All for only 360 pesos.

If you continue walking north on Ave Pasteur after a block or two, you will see a Sushi Ya restaurant on the left, supposedly good sushi. Around the corner from Sushi Ya (northwest) is a small PizzaHut restaurant that has take out and does deliveries (in case you don't want to go out), the pizza is OK. Across the street from that PizzaHut is a money exchange place that gives the same rates as Frank's on El Conde. If you walk west on that street after a block or two you will see an O y M University building for its students who study tourism, across the street from that building is a colmado (Pujols Colmado) that has a small courtyard in front, with tables and chairs, on a Friday night some of the O y M University students who study tourism, congregate at that colmado and have drinks, while sitting outside. Maybe you'll meet one who wants to practice her English (ISG member Koki showed me the money exchange place and that colmado).

There is also a lesbian bar in Gazcue, which I believe is painted pink with hearts on the outside.

I often wondered if I was solo, would I have been able to pull a girl from the university or the colmado? I went to the Scotia Bank on Maximo Gomez (right off of Santiago ). I went once in Oct and again this March and both times I saw a female customer there who was eyeballing me and one offered me a smile. Maybe I didn't look like the average dominican customer there? Unfortunately both times I was with my "sand" and couldn't strike up a conversation with those women. I also wondered about the fine ass girls working at the casino next to Pure disco. Had I been solo, maybe I might have been able to establish some interest and work out a plan to see them after work? I have to plan a solo trip one day and find out what I'm capable of pulling off.

I used that cambio you are talking about. It is on calle Santiago, diagonally across from the plaza where the pizza hut is. I think it's called Casa De Cambio. The rate as of March 4 was 40. 70. I got 40. 85 at another cambio in a bus station (I think Caribe) , a taxi guy took me to. (don't recall how we got there, but will investigate ). I think it was under a highway overpass.

BTW for anybody who is interested : I use Bank Of America in the states. BofA has an alliance with Scotia Bank. If you use your BofA debit card to make a withdrawal you will not be charged any fees. So use your card with confidence, without feeling you have to bring a lot of cash from home (USA) with you to exchange. A 10, 000 peso withdrawal (the maximum) ends up with a $245. 10 US debit from my account. That's a rate of 40. 80 pesos per us dollar. If you need more, just keep withdrawing. Bear in mind the maximum per withdrawal is 10, 000 pesos. I did this 3 times to get 30, 000 pesos at the Scotia Bank in Cabarete in Nov. Definitely let your bank know you will be using your debit card abroad before you take your trip.

Scotiabank in Agora Mall, as well as other banks; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjw-9WfYIG8. There is a large Scotiabank building on Kennedy and Lope de Vega and a Scotiabank ATM in Zona Colonial about three blocks from the Hard Rock Cafe. Last time I checked, Bank of America offers a free checking account, and I presume they give you an ATM card. As you state, using a BofA ATM card at Scotiabank ATM machines, no fees.

Caribe Tours has a bus station under an elevated part of Avenida 27 de Febrero (on the north side of Ave. 27 de Febrero, a block or two east of Ave. Maximo Gomez, US Embassy is on that same side street but south of 27 de Febrero). Good rate you got there, there is free 30 minute parking next to the Caribe Tours Bus Station.

I recall the small parking lot to the left of the bus station too. My taxi parked there while I went inside the plaza for the cambio. Thanks for this one. Question to all, given that this kind of food is everyday stuff for most local women, do they actually dig it OR would they rather have different kind of food? If so, what are those and where are the places where one can have such food without having to pay tourist prices. I personally would not mind knowing a decent barbecue joint. With steaks and spareribs etc. Around gazcue area.

Thanks in advance

That video looks amazing on their site! I've wanted a nuru massage for a while now. Can't wait to get more info on price for extras or if that's the price and supposed to "tip" for more services like AMP's in the states. One things for sure, I don't see anything more than a BBBJ offered. Can you imagine trying to put a. Rubber on with all that gel. Not happening LOL. Better get some extras though. I also love massages, and look forward to reading your report. I might check it out when I return.I looked at the video and decided I would check it out, but then a girl from Tagged texted me.

Shit! 20 years old, does 3 hours of karate a day, fantastic large and firm, gorgeous face. Never asked for a cent (although she did not complain when I slipped 2000 pesos into her purse). Incredible BBBJ, favorite position is on top rubbing clit into my pubis. She is, by the way, my fourth chica in the last 36 hours, all (apparently) non-pros. The were all cultivated from Tagged. Com.

I have now mongered in 50 countries. The DR is the second best in the world for fucking non-pros and semi-pros (Philippines is better). Brazil is also non-pro heaven, followed by Peru and Colombia. I also like Germany, where the pros behave like non-pros. In my view, worst city (outside of the USA) is Budapest. But, lots of great places in between.

I am approaching the beginning of my seventh decade, and cannot believe my luck.

I read on the forum guys complaining about weak BBJ from the girls. This is how I got the best BBJ in my life. If you can establish rapore in the short time we vet them, then maybe you can get a decent bbj. However most of the time it just does not happen. THe best BBj I ever had came on the last nite of 8 day vacation in the DR. My flight left at 2am and I arrived in SD from Sosua at 8 pm after banging 2 women a day in Sosua. I went to the casino to kill time and prowl. I meant an average looking Haitian girl at the Black jack table were I won a few hundred dollars. Extra cash I say what the hell. My bags were checked at the casino so no problem. Get a cab and off to the Cabana. I had my last smoke and 2 sex toys left. We got a nice buzz and chatted a bit. Since I had been fucking every day for over a week my endurance was great. I used my toys and stroked her to two strong orgasms. I did not bust a nut cause I believed I was out of leche. After her last nut my girl says No leche. She pulled the condom off and started sucking like she had a disease and my cum was the antidote. After 10 minutes my toes curled and I busted one of the best nuts of my life. 3 hours later on the plane I was still feeling the after glow. Key to the situation is that I was not rushing and we had enough time to like each other. She was a big girl with a fat pussy. She new I had enjoyed fucking her and she was satisfied as well. Often women are happy that you got yours because so often they do not get their nut. She got hers and returned the favor in spades. I get chills we I recall it.

Talk about blue balls like no other if not LOL.Funny, I know that feeling. Hodelpa Centro Plaza Hotel in Santiago is about $100US per night, free wifi, good free breakfast buffet. Staying at the Hodelpa Centro Plaza you can use the pool at the Hodelpa El Gran Almirante Hotel, in Santiago. Adjacent to the pool is a nice gym and a massage room. Last time I was there a few years ago, a massage cost about $20US for half an hour. I asked for a half hour massage, the morena massage chica was OK looking, she was not shy about removing the towel that covered my ass and junk. I stayed for an hour and paid for the additional thirty minutes, she gave a good massage, but no extras, I had the blue balls when leaving there.

For the umpteenth time I have to ask WHY? I just can not get it into my head. Maybe Jao or Cagep can explain it to me better. So used to paying, it comes out almost automatically. I push it as far as it goes, I never offer money for a regular girl. I treat them like a queen when they are with me and take them out and show them a great time.

My new girl comes from money, but they always want more. She complains to me that her father doesn't give her any money, her cell isn't working right, her kid had the chicken pox, her mother cut her hand, etc. I always act sympathetic, but unless she comes out and directly ask for money, she will get nothing. And when she finally asks (and she will) it depends on how much she wants and if I think it is worth it.

I've had a girl in the past ask me for some money and I was with her for a few months and did not give her anything, she asked me for some money because she lost her job (true story). I gave her 2000 pesos, she complained that it wasn't enough. She was having sex with me and treating me right and all I could give her was 2k? I told her straight out, I didn't think I was with a puta, I thought she was a nice girl. I never charged her for all the times I had sex with her and never expected to get paid, oh man she was pissed. I in turn was laughing my ass off.

If they pretend not to be pros, then hit you up for money, treat them like the pros that they really are. BUT DON'T GET GAMED.

One room in a 3 room apartment and apparently the guy stays in one and rents out the other two. It is going to be for a night but I would write up once I see what it is all about. Hopefully, I wouldn't have to also seek a cabana so. Gazcue works.

I might go Thursday during the afternoon, when are you going to be in town? The massage video other than the exotic gel is what the Thai women have been doing for as long as I can recall. With their soapy bath or am I missing something here? I recall the first few times, I did that, I was almost hoping that I would slide inside her as she was coming up softly from the bottom. LOL but that never happened.

I in turn was laughing my ass off.You are a mean lover boy, mi amigo! LOL! I guess living there everyday, makes it a unique experience in contrast to an idiot like me who is a mere visitor and everything happens in close succession in a concentrated week. How I envy your lot! (smiley)

The place looks new and nice, on the Malecon (between Churchill and Nunez de Caceres, Plaza Coplan) should be easy to find. I'll check it out too, next time I am in Santo Domingo. Supposedly open from 10am to 10pm, Monday to Saturday.I gave them a try today around noon. The place is far away (I walked!) and not easy to find once you get there. Plaza Coplan is a 6-story building way out on the Malecon. SlipOnMe is in apartment 504. Ring the bell on the ground floor, and they will buzz you in. The elevator was broken today, so I walked up 5 floors after walking several miles from the Renaissance.

There were several girls there at noon, but apparently only Chanel gave the Nuru massage. She is 22, very pleasant, not a stunning beauty but good enough for me! The shower followed by the massage, then followed by another shower, took the whole hour and was maybe worth the list price of 2300 pesos. Lots of very nice contact, but no penetration allowed. She kept a thong on, and when I reached under it, pushed my hand away (nicely, but still). Chanel was so nice that I gave her my 700 pesos change as a tip. I'm sure I wasn't expected to do that. Again, it was very enjoyable, a different kind of happy ending, but maybe not something that I would want to do regularly.

Moving right along, I tried to check out the cheapie places shown on the monger map at 355 and 362 Calle Las Mercedes. The place at 362 is clearly vacant and for rent. The place at 355 may also be vacant and is also for rent.

After looking there, I went south one block to Calle El Conde. That was a disaster. A nice-looking street girl approached me and offered fuckie-suckie at a nearby hotel for 20 dollars ("venti" in Spanish). Claimed the hotel was only $5 for an hour. She was attractive (has "Leoneda" tattooed on her waist, so you should be able to spot her). The hotel ended up taking my 1000-peso note and gave back just 500 pesos in change. Ripoff number 1. Then we went to the room. After we both undressed, I thought it would be a good idea to verify the 20-dollar price. She said something in Spanish. That wasn't helpful. I asked her to write the number, using her finger on the bed. She pretended not to understand, even though she spoke excellent English a few minutes before. Red flags were going off all over the place. Finally, I got her to quote a price in pesos: 1000. OK, a little higher but I could go for that. Then she quoted another number (in Spanish) that I could barely recognize as 1700 pesos. Ripoff number 2. At that point, roughly 2-3 minutes into our session, I had enough and told her I was leaving. She grabbed my clothes and tried to stop me. I grabbed them back and got dressed while she begged me to reconsider. I didn't. Then she started throwing things at me. Um, more red flags! I went down to the desk and asked for my money back. No way. Ripoff number 3. So I walked out and headed west on Independencia.

A few minutes later, she caught up with me and harassed me for blocks, while I refused to give her any money. This was really ugly and right out on the street. She pushed me and threatened to hit me with a rock. I walked up to an armed security guard and asked him to shoot her. That didn't happen, either! Finally, two police showed up and tried to figure out what happened, but neither spoke more than a few words of English. Then an older local guy came along and acted as translator. The four of us talked on the street for quite a long time. At first, the police asked me to give her the agreed-upon 20 dollars, but I refused because we hadn't done anything. In the end, we settled for 500 pesos, which she took and walked away, and I walked back to my hotel. Not my worst mongering experience ever, but not one I'd like to repeat, either. Beware street girls everywhere, not just in Santo Domingo. Things can and will go badly occasionally.

I gave them a try today around noon. BruceSorry to hear that. Have you tried GBP (on 27 de febrero between Lincoln and Tiradentes, it would be a shorter walk than Slip On Me). GBP one chica for 1000 pesos, two chicas for 1500 (they have a classified in Mundo Anuncio with the name gim bar with some pics). On Calle Cervantes and on the block just north of Independencia has another massage place (it is adjacent to the la cadena supermarket, the one story massage building is the first building south of the supermarket). Ground floor massage place (looks almost like a medical office), about three blocks from the rear entrance of the Renaissance Jaragua Hotel and Casino.

On Independencia east of the rear entrance of the Jaragua, (about 4 blocks in the direction of zona colonial) is the hotel navarro, where you can rent out a room por un rato (for a short while). There is a good size colmado (grocery store) across the street from the hotel navarro. Also on Independencia on that same block there is Duque Wellington Hotel, Club 305 and the busy restaurant Villar Hermanos. If you continue walking straight ahead, two blocks east of Avenida Pasteur, on the left you will see Calle Danae, which has about 5 small hotels and some SWs at night.

Renaissance Jaragua Hotel and Casino is for the most part not chica friendly, if you visit some of the casas in the area, they might be able to suggest something to you. Last time I was in Baby Dolls (on the Malecon about 10-11 blocks east from the Jaragua), supposedly open 24/7, they said they had rooms available on site.

I have seen pros at night on Independencia east of calle danae, near the cemetery and around the park at the end of Independencia, before zona colonial. Groups of SWs on the Malecon, far from the Jaragua, starting after Lincoln to Churchill (those SWs like to use a cabana on the Malecon).

You might want to check out the Avenida Venezuela bars on a weekend night, on the other side of the river.

How were the facilities at Slip On Me? Clean? Is this Chanel (photo from sliponme)?

Thanks.

I answered this almost immediately, but the moderators must not have liked my reply for some reason. The happy ending was a titty-f. (Maybe that will clear the censors.) It was very nice but not what I really like.

Thanks.Yes, that's Chanel, I believe. The picture makes her look more special than she really is, but I'm not complaining. The facilities are quite nice for a simple apartment turned into a massage parlor. Small, but the one room we used for the session was just right.

I may walk to GBP on 27 de Febrero today. I hope it's open on Sunday!

I looked at the video and decided I would check it out, but then a girl from Tagged texted me.

I am approaching the beginning of my seventh decade, and cannot believe my luck.Filipinas are nice. Some of the Hungarian women have awesome bodies (some of my ancestors are from Hungary). Some of the Czech women are fine.

Best sex I ever had / My girl was an award winner best one on one best 3 some best internet sex. Dam the trifecta. She gave me a serious education. I am considering doing a drive by but would have to mend some fences. She has a sister who is a non pro. I am hooking one of my wing men with her. I am planning a party in SD. Her sister is coming and I let her know we had tequila and hennessi waiting at the party. The old girl friend love both of them. Truth be told when she drinks she is a sex goddess.Pretty woman, nice booty, thanks for the pics.

For the umpteenth time I have to ask WHY? I just can not get it into my head. Maybe Jao or Cagep can explain it to me better. Why pay a non-pro? Or how can a chica who takes money be called a non-pro?

Good questions.

Approximately how many women have you had sex with in your life? Do they all blend together in a blur or do some Great Performances stand out? (would you be willing to pay more or do more to have a repeat performance with the Great Performers).

Even a pimp provides something to his tricks. In the scheme of things, men provide money or something else of value to women, to have sex with those women. If someone wants to say all women who have sex are pros, that is their choice.

For the umpteenth time I have to ask WHY? I just can not get it into my head. Maybe Jao or Cagep can explain it to me better. It depends on a whole load of factors, including how you met her, what your future intentions are, her level of affluence and wealth relative to yours, age difference, what you want out of it, what she wants out of it, and so on.

Dominican women, especially the very attractive ones, go on various Web sites to look for men not because they are horny and can't get laid locally, but because they are looking for some kind of economic advancement, either a relationship leading to financial support, or maybe marriage or a visa, or else cash on the bed head.

Maybe if you meet them they will be so overwhelmed with your rock star charisma that they will be willing to have one-off sex gratis without a condom just for the fun of it. That is fine, but in most cases guys will be realistic about their own charms and prefer to give the girl some cash if they want to signal that there is no future obligation planned on either side. That way if she calls you and you tell her that you can't see her again, then at least she knows she got something out of the deal and that she wasn't out of pocket on travel expenses, beauty salon, etc. For nothing.

Obviously there will be cases when it would be inappropriate to offer money. For example I knew a guy who moved to live in the DR and after he opened a bank account the attractive female bank manager called to offer to show him around town. Had this become a sexual relationship, it would not have been appropriate to offer her cash for sex after the fact.

We all bring something to the table. Like fran says unless you have movie star looks the girls are looking for some kind of security. Providing them some financial support does not make them putas. In the Dr women look for men who can support them when they grow up. After they have two kids from the hansom local guys the light goes off. A old are guys who is not abusive and has money too is a huge win. Have no problem rewarding some one who is making me happy.

I guess I am a lost cause then. Cases in point. I know this girl from the hooker disco. She always "needs" $67. When I first met her I gave her my number and told her to give me a call when she "needs" $33 - because that is my going rate for all night. She calls me every blue moon. She actually called this morning and she is sleeping next to me now (after midnight here). She tried every excuse to get more money from me. What about taxi? I told her I have a motorbike, I will take her back and forth. She said why you always give me the same? This is 2013. I said you are right. Now this year I can give you less because I have known you a long time. I knew her to be a hooker from the start. No problem giving her the agreed upon $33 tomorrow morning or afternoon.

Next case: Two years ago I met a chick on Tagged. We met up at Subway close to my place. I never heard from her after that day. Yesterday I go to the place where I have breakfast everyday and lo and behold she is there. I asked her why she forgot about me. I had to refresh her memory of who I was. It took a minute, but she finally remembered me. I told her to call me later. I put my number in her phone. When she went to save it she saw that it was already there from 2 years ago. She texted me in the afternoon and came over. She saw I was sleepy and she was sleepy because she studies and works. So we got in the bed fully clothed and took a nap together. I woke up first and started fucking with her. Before I knew it we were fucking like jackrabbits. About 830pm we went to get something to eat and came back to my place then she got on her motorbike and went home. Her I did not give money to. Why would I? We texted each other today while she was at work and everything is cool.

As Troubleman said, I just don't get why I would give somebody money who is not a known hooker immediately after we have had sex. I don't do it in the USA and I can't imagine myself doing it abroad. Are guys doing this same thing with women who they fuck back home because they "made them happy" or whatever other odd reason?

FYI: The minimum wage here in Thailand was raised to $10/day on January 1, 2013.

I joke around with pros, when they climax, I asked them to get paid.

Don't pay unlessed agreed upon upfront. If the girls states she is a good girl not a pro, then to me normal date rules apply, treat them nice, be a gentleman, pay for dinner and entertaintment while with her. Take them home or whatever makes her feel most comfortable, but do not outright pay for sexual services. This sets up a precendent that, usually, the only way out is to break up with them.

I give money to women who don't ask or give gifts to people who don't ask.

I remember a DR chica, nice body, she usually didn't wear a bra, nice round firm titties like oranges, nice booty. She was fun, I gave her money even though she didn't ask. Six months after seeing her and having sex with her, I visited the DR again, I called her up, she hopped on a bus that day and visited closer to where I was staying, again, no money was discussed (I gave her money), after sex she went home and I didn't see her again that trip. Six months later, I visited DR again, called her and she stopped what she was doing to come and have sex and she got money (she didn't ask for money, she asked for a laptop after the third or fourth visit and after that I didn't see her again). I look at her facebook page, she is medical doctor now with an office.

Money for sex was not discussed with her, she got something of value from me (money) and because of that she was on call whenever I arrived into the DR. If I had been a cheap bastard with her, she probably would have blown me off after the first time I was with her. Are all experiences created equal? Do some women rock my world more than others? I will give more and/or pay more for a woman who rocks my world, whether she asks for something or not.

FYI: The minimum wage here in Thailand was raised to $10 / day on January 1, 2013.For someone who can get sex without paying for it, you seem to spend an awful lot of time visiting and writing about prostitution destinations such as Sosua and Thailand. I think you are just ambivalent about paying for sex and you don't quite want to admit that you are paying one way or another.

I remember you writing a long time ago about how you picked up a girl in a bar in Sosua and didn't want to pay her when she asked for money, because you did not know she was a prostitute. Perhaps you are a bit in denial and find it hard to recognize these things.

No of course one would not pay a woman in the US who was a social equal and not a prostitute, but then there are not many if any bars in the US where you would meet freelance prostitutes, as there are in other countries, and in the US it is not the norm for single women to be financially dependent on contributions from male friends. The US also has welfare, unemployment, food stamps, Medicare, etc. Which the DR does not.

I may walk to GBP on 27 de Febrero today. I hope it's open on Sunday!

I did see streetwalkers on the Malecon way west, but they were extremely low quality. Too low even for me, and I have almost no standards at all!

BruceGBP last time I was there was closed on Sunday.

Club MC and Pink Pony have rooms. Cats has a small room. Showgirls I read has a room upstairs. You might be able to take the Metro closer to Showgirls (Metro runs on Avenida Maximo Gomez). Showgirls if my memory serves correctly may be just east of Maximo Gomez, almost under an express part of Avenida Kennedy. Santo Domingo coffee building is further north on maximo gomez. If you stay on the Metro, the last stop is in villa mella.

Also SWs on Avenida Espana at night and sometimes in the daytime. There used to be some attractive SWs on Avenida Sarasota near the embajador hotel and hotel bq.

From listindiario today, if you have a DR cell you can call (or call from the hotel):

594-8920, Ejecutivo cafe bar"

Location is not given in listindiario for these venues. You can call and ask for their locations.

There used to be a casa called ejecutivo on the service road of las americas highway. If you need info about where any venue is located after you call a venue, post here and someone will give directions.

The expensive casas will be open today. Casa Theresa usually has some amazon size attractive women and about three blocks from casa theresa is pink house (both places have rooms on site, pink house should be cheaper than casa theresa). Casa Theresa is on Avenida Ortega y Gassett, Pink House is off Avenida Ortega y Gassett on Avenida Paraguay, I believe. Plaza Salud is in that area (large private medical complex). Olympic Park is also close to there. New on-off ramps at the intersection of 27 de febrero and Ave. Ortega y Gassett.

Just visiting for a couple days so I thought I would try Slip on me. Great experience. Two girls to choose from when I entered, both were beautiful. I picked Chanel. We went and took a shower together and then on to the massage. I doubt much more than a happy ending is available, no way a condom would stay on with all the gel on your body. She said they didn't allow mutual touching and that would have made it a little better. It is a great experience if you want something a little different. Owner is a really nice guy, I had them call my taxi he didn't feel comfortable with the guy so he drove me back to my hotel. I recommend you give it a try.

I did see streetwalkers on the Malecon way west, but they were extremely low quality. Too low even for me, and I have almost no standards at all!

BruceThat brought out a chuckle from me. I like people with self-deprecating humor. Thanks for a nice story as well.

For someone who can get sex without paying for it, you seem to spend an awful lot of time visiting and writing about prostitution destinations such as Sosua and Thailand. I think you are just ambivalent about paying for sex and you don't quite want to admit that you are paying one way or another. It is because I do both, regular women and P4P. But I never confuse the two. It seems that for whatever reason many men on ISG are not able to get women in their home country (e. G. Referring to it as sex prison-can't figure out why because every person who I have met on ISG are pretty normal guys) so when they travel they deem it necessary to hand cash over for pussy regardless. As Cagep said to me normal date rules apply to normal women who I meet. I don't treat a regular woman as though she is P4P by giving her money after we have fucked and I don't treat a P4P as a regular woman by not giving her what she has earned. I'm not ambivalent at all. I just admitted that the girl in my bed now is a hooker (has been here 14 hours) whereas the girl who was here the day before yesterday was not and did not warrant me giving her money. I would not say that you are paying for sex one way or the other no more than I would say that you are paying to live because you buy yourself breakfast every morning. Of course there are sunk costs to many things. But I would consider it absurd to say that because I bought a woman a $6 meal or a $2 ticket to a movie that I paid her for sex.

Non-pro women in the DR have never had a problem returning after I did not give them money. I still get the same "poppy when are you coming back" that everyone who shells out money gets. One chick who I originally met in front of Classico and took to the room said she did not want money when I tried to give it to her the next day. She said it was her first day trying to be a hooker and she felt bad about taking money for sex so she refused. She said she wanted to have a family. Well she finally got pregnant and married some Canadian guy but she continued to live in DR and he continued to live in Canada with infrequent visits to DR. I was still knocking her off at this time. Now her and the guy have divorced and she works as a waitress in Sosua. When I told her after the fact that I was down there last time she wanted to know why I did not call her. So whether I'm giving a regular woman money there or not, in my experience, seems to be irrelevant as to whether they want to see me or not. So that is an extra mile that I don't find it necessary to go.

I give money to women who don't ask or give gifts to people who don't ask.I enjoyed this conversation. Thoughts of Frannie, Old Kool and Jaosousa resonate with me. I have only had a few days in Sosua and never discussed money and often paid 1000 pesos for short stints. Outside of Sosua, rarely have I discussed money but have always given some money and / or other things the women prize. I do it to make the first experience pleasant and future ones if any, something to look forward to, both at my and at the other end. I have also had occasions when I met women to eat with an expectation to get lucky later. But nothing happened and yet, I left the gift with her / them. I certainly did not feel like a loser for that. On another occasion a woman came to see me and balked at the idea of penetration, not having apparently ever done it outside of her (then) ex- husband. I told her that it was no problem and we played with each other. Months later, she confessed (I could not make out as she never let out any typical sound) that she had had two orgasms but after she left the hotel that day, she sent me a text: "me sentia muy bien con como me trataste" and. She wants to see me again!

It is inconceivable for me that in an interaction like this, there be not a quid pro quo; even in the "dating" scene back home, a man typically feeds a woman. No matter whether later he gets lucky or not (not to speak of the long term expectations) but then I am not smart, young or good looking to get it free.

I also value the total experience with "another human being" and, for me, even the "Putas" are every bit as human and humane as I or anybody else. Monetizing and calling someone a "*" I find is rather degrading as if a "john" is a superior creature."Strangely", even a "puta" seems to sense it intuitively if the John thinks she is just another object and responds accordingly.

Now some people appreciate money or other gifts like a phone or a branded T shirt. This forthcoming trip, I am taking two books for two women. One is "the Vinci Code" in Spanish for someone I have never seen, the other is a book for a 7th semester medical student who I saw last time. A course work related book in English that I offered to buy for her. This, as Jaosousa points out makes some women willing to drop things to come see you but I must also say, giving, I find is much pleasure as well.

An old man working out in the gym at a machine with his trainer sees a young 20 something. Tight and fit as they come with regular work out and age. He turns to the trainer and asks him,"so what machine shall I use to draw her attention"? The trainer looks at him, looks around and says,"well the machine is not here. It is out in the lobby".

"Which one is that?"

"Well, the ATM machine"!

And it still is! I found out after walking there. One of these days I'll call first, but I wanted to walk, anyway.

BruceSome photos and a business card. A photo of the building where GBP is located (southside of 27 de febrero, between Lincoln and Tiradentes), GBP opens around 1pm, closes around 11pm, some of the chicas may discreetly give you their cell number. Usually each chica gives a strip show and quickie lap dance in the small bar area (if I have dollar bills I will give them a tip). GBP is not fancy inside (couches for sex), get there early if you like them smelling like daisies, LOL.

Cats is a small bar in Naco neighborhood. Good neighborhood. Cats has a small room, probably opens after 5pm, phone number is on the card, so you might want to call before. Located about a block from Cats is the high end disco Praia and a recommended restaurant, Chef Pepper (which has locations in Bavaro and Santiago), http://www.chefpepper.net/

Pink Pony is on Ave. Nunez de Caceres about 1/4 of a block south of Ave. Kennedy on the east side of the street, on the second floor, has a small balcony out front on the second floor with tables, chairs and plants. Pink Pony advertisement in listindiario: "Las Mejores Divas de la zona, Santiagueras y más. 5 habs. Confortable, A partir 10:00am. $1,000, $1,500 y $2,000. Av. Núñez de Cáceres #6, 2do nivel, frente Corripio. Tel. 809-476-9761". I asked the big titty chica in the photo to do a strip tease for me inside the bar area, using the stripper pole, she obliged, lap dance, nipple in my mouth, I gave her some pesos. Rooms on site. It is far from gazcue and zona colonial.

Showgirls is on the north side of Avenida Kennedy (on the service road part). The express part of Ave. Kennedy begins to elevate near where showgirls was/is located. I have driven by showgirls various times, but not been inside (the showgirls in Juan Dolio was fun, now closed). ISG member BBL has been inside showgirls and from his post about the place seems he had a good time and the prices were not high. Showgirls might be located just of east of maximo gomez on the north side of Ave. Kennedy.

And it still is! I found out after walking there. One of these days I'll call first, but I wanted to walk, anyway.

BruceIf you wanted to you could walk along avenida espana. Walk east on the malecon toward zona colonial. You will see some ships docked to the right and the walls of the zona colonial to your left. You will come upon a small bridge over the river (flotante bridge), floating bridge (pontoon bridge). Make a right onto the bridge, people fish and/or crab from the bridge. On the other side of the bridge make a right and walk up the hill, past a marina (concerts and events sometimes held in that marina), you will pass the new Hostal Marina Real Hotel on your left, prices under $100, chica friendly, nice apartments with kitchens; http://www.hostalmarinareal.com/

At the top of the hill stay toward your right and that will be avenida espana. Not a lot of traffic on avenida espana after the first intersection and Texaco gas station. You will come upon San Souci ship terminal where some large cargo and cruise ships dock, to your left you will pass two military bases, with uniformed military personal stationed outside. I have seen women sitting alone on avenida espana during the day, maybe they were pros, I don't know. National Aquarium is on avenida espana, as is the water park, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sfyLenKe6s

La Base Sports Bar is on avenida espana, usually has some sexy waitresses. Sometimes La Base has concerts and parts of avenida espana are closed on the weekend to vehicular traffic; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xANVXee7WeY

Acuarium Hotel is just off Avenida Espana. From Avenida Espana you will be closer to Faro a Colón which is a quiet place, park like setting, with a building shaped like a cross and an old Pope mobile with bullet proof glass. The Los Tres Ojos park is close to there as well; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfTioHzKUhM

SWs on Avenida Espana at night closer to the on ramp / exit for las americas highway, far from the Jaragua Hotel.

JFK to LRM (La Romana) and STI (Santiago) and AZS (Samana) and POP, included in the sale. In April flying into La Romana or Santiago round-trip fare around $400US.

Also JFK to Cartagena, Colombia for around $400US round-trip in April. JFK to a few airports in Puerto Rico for around $285US round-trip.

Maybe I'll fly into LRM or STI, rent a car and drive to Santo Domingo, after spending time in Santiago or near La Romana, probably some time in April.

Metro has a stop near the National Cemetery and Avenida Maximo Gomez.I used the metro once from O&M university to Villa Mella and back. Cheap. 20 pesos per ride. Lots of people use it. It is similar to the one constructed in Puerto Rico a few years before, in fact some people argued that is was constructed to show they can also have a train. Mass transportation system brings social benefits to a country but they have to be well planned. According to dominican economists on dominican tv the average cost per passenger for the use of the metro is 285 pesos per trip. They argue that it is better for government budget to pay passengers for a taxi ride because the ride is cheaper than the cost of the metro to government.

Should be free.

UASD (the large public university in Santo Domingo) has I believe an underground train that goes from the campus, north, maybe one stop (train or a pedestrian tunnel, I haven't seen it).

Spent the next week with her the sex was some of the best I've had, my Spanish is not that great but I can get myself understood. There is an Ikea store in Santo Domingo, probably good prices for furnishings for a house or apartment (http://onlinecatalogue.ikea.com/DO/es/IKEA_Catalogue/). If you plan on staying there in the future, keep it civil with the novia, even if she is pregnant. Many women want to have a child. If she is pregnant the titties will get bigger.

One reason I don't believe the artificial insemination story is that she could just as easily have stopped taking the pill when she was with you if she wanted to get pregnant.

If she is lying, you will have to end the relationship, because it can only get worse from this point. You can certainly go back for one more visit to verify whether she is pregnant, like ask for paper copy of her pregnancy test results or invoices from her prenatal doctor's visits, etc. Or go to the doctor with her. Also ask for documentation of the artificial insemination (which I am pretty sure does not exist.)

I would not continue if the baby is someone else's, because sooner or later the father will be on the scene, and you may end up resenting paying for maternity services (Cesarian?) , pediatrician bills, baby formula, etc. For a child that is not yours.

It will be hard to break from her if you are fond of her and she will very much be depending on you financially. Many tears will be shed. Good luck!

There are lots and lots of other girls to choose from, but right now that is the least of it.

Also, artificial is crazy does she have money to do that. Either she wants a baby with you because she believes the best way to make sure you do not leave is having a baby with you. Now, you have to see if she is being faithful to you when you are away. That is a tough call. Do you know her friends and what does she do when your not around. If she all of sudden has a miscarriage then you know she was playing you. Time will be your answer on this situation as it will all come out soon.

That Holiday Inn is not cheap, futuristic looking building with a rooftop pool. Some of the Holiday Inn bars are probably open to people not staying at the hotel (I believe there is a rooftop bar near the pool). Mitre or something restaurant is close to there as well and looks like a fancy place. Go north on Lincoln for the Agora Mall, Ikea, (restaurant in Ikea with OK prices: http://www.ikea.com.do/IKEA-restaurante-menu-semanal.php), Diamond Mall. Avenida Lincoln becomes Avenida de los Proceres north of Avenida Kennedy and the National Botanical Garden is about 5 minutes north of Kennedy (by car). The Botanical Garden is nice.

What's stopping her from having her "real" Dominican boyfriend impregnating her just a few days before you get to town (based on the travel dates you provided)?

This is also one of the biggest catch 22's of playing the (overseas) Internet dating game. You want to keep in contact so that you can get in good with the chica(s), which also gives you some time to spot potential "mental cases" or scammers.

But the "catch" is that it leaves you open to the old RFM's before your trip, and the RFM/pregnancy scams hitting your inbox after your trip (because if the ass was really good, you are going to want to hold on to it. So more than likely you will continue talking to her once back in the states. Old Kool can testify).

Sometimes you have to spend a few pennies to get something good. 95% of the Dominicanas I have had sex with, I met online before trips. I have had sex without a condom with about three. One said she was pregnant, her doctor gave her some pill(s), she never asked me for a dime and I gave her nothing for that. She had a car and a regular job.

Use all the tools in the toolbox (meet chicas online or in person in the DR).

I haven't heard of guys getting scammed in the DR by chicas claiming they are carrying a guy's child. To be safe glove it up or don't have penetration (I know a guy, after having paid child support for many years, he is very paranoid about penetration, he'll let the woman jerk him off, with no penetration).

Proof would be DNA test (how would she get your sample, now that I think of it silly question) , pay for a test then get the US State Department to agree to the results, it's a whole lot of work.

Even if you wanted to claim the kid as your own, you would have to prove your relationship with the girl, before pregnancy, during and after. All sorts of paperwork, etc. It's all on the US State department web site. I don't talk about my kids on this web site, but I have 2 from different islands. Both I claim as my own, the paperwork and the process I had to go through to claim my own kids was very time consuming.

I don't see how a chica can do this on her own if you simply dispute it. Too difficult.

It's a delicate subject. Most guys would probably be like "get back to me after you have the kid" so that they can do a DNA test. If it does turn out to be his, then he has just created very bad blood during the time he was absent (communication-wise) during her pregnancy.

Having a long term time with a girl from Cupid, started in January, she is very adapt at using Skype and as soon as I saw her body just had to meet her I was in Santo Domingo at the time, when we met she was a complete stunner in all ways, a body to die for and a great personality. Spent the next week with her the sex was some of the best I've had, my Spanish is not that great but I can get myself understood. I have been moungering for ten years in South East Asia, Gambia and South America and this girl is exceptional, she is aware of my travels and unfortunately seen my pics of my trips so she knows what I'am up to on my trips. Could write a lot more on her but to cut a long story short we have rented a house in her local area very affordable, the main spend has been to furnish it, I am 60 years old she is 25 so far things are going great, I still work in my home country and visit every 2 or 3 months but I do plan to retire may be in 5 years or so, we do have arguements, the main one is she wants a baby but I do not want one so she tells me that she is pregnant by artificial insemination, I find this hard to believe, thinking of ending our relationship but am going to go back for one more visit, am I in denile, or is she playing me, I could be just nieve? There's so much more I could write about but don't want to bore you guys, any opinions from you guys!Whoa, first off, Kudos for having the balls to talk about such a personal matter in a forum where people often are critical of others. I think you have heard some sane voices regarding what to do and what not to do but in a matter of heart, it is hard for others to be in your shoes and make the call. Personally, the Dominican women are like women everywhere: young women want a child, that is how nature has made them. From my perspective, as I grow older, I also think having a child at an older age is one of those last hurrahs. I also do not think, despite all the scam stories that abound here, that the percentage of women in the D. R trying to scam are any worse than anywhere else. My thought is to use the heart and head. Both, in deciding what you want to do and it would be fine.

If he wants to be the legal father but wants to be CERTAIN that he is the biological father first he will have to get her to hold off on getting the birth certificate until he can do a DNA test. I was 90% sure that I was the father of my now 4 year old daughter so I had my name put on the birth certificate prior to receiving the DNA results. When I flew to Colombia for her birth I brought with me two DIY DNA test kits that I purchased at the drugstore in the USA. When my daughters mother wasn't looking I swabbed her mouth, put it in the container and had one test done in Colombia and flew home with the other test and mailed it to the USA based laboratory. The reason for the test in Colombia was in case there was skepticism on my daughters families part in regards to the test being done in the USA and because the USA lab couldn't provide the test results in spanish.

To have your name removed from or added to a birth certificate is a legal pig fuck in plain english so it creates a sort of conundrum for the guy. Personally, I wouldn't have my name put on the birth certificate if I was him unless he is going to be in the DR when the baby is born and can stay until he can get a test done in the DR and results back while still in the DR or send it out to a USA based lab and get the results via e-mail. Which will take a couple weeks.

Again, my bet is that he is being gamed by this girl.

I am so glad I had a vasectomy. At first I was worried about getting one, but I did some research and did it. It has been about 7 years and I am very happy with the results. I practice safe sex as much as possible, but sometimes I don't. The few times I go bareback, I don't have to worry about pregnancies. If you don't wan't more children I highly recommend a vasectomy. It seems like the vasectomy increased my sex drive. The only downside is that since I don't have to worry about pregnancy it makes me go bareback more often then I want to. I guess I am too weak. .

Any other mongers out there with vasectomies? If yes, what is your experience with it? Was it worth it? Sometimes girls tell me I want your baby, and I gladly give them my leche.

Landed at Las Americas. My wingman asked me if I topped up my DR phone before I left the States. I said come on man, you know me better than that. I turned my phone on and dialed the sequence in order to get my per day internet for 52 pesos. I got on Whats App to ask my security girl what she was doing. She asked if I was in the DR. I told her I had just arrived. She said she was out on the ramp. I told her that I would have to see her another time in that case. We proceeded to immigration. There were no liquor handouts today. Damn.

There is now an electronic kiosk where you can get your tourist card. Make sure you have a $10 bill if you want to use it. I stepped to the front of the immigration line looking to see which agent I wanted to go and get my mack on. I stepped over to one desk and approached the front. When the girl raised her head I said,"Nooooooo!" She needed a check up from the neck up. She said que pasa as I handed her my documents. I said oh I was just telling my friend over there that I like your coworker who is processing him. She said well go over and talk to her. I told her that he is talking to her for me. When we met up going through customs my wingman said that he asked the girl her name but she wouldn't even look up at him. So shit.

We strolled through customs and I gave the girl my paperwork. I don't remember why but I asked her que pasa? She said that she wanted to go home. I said you have someone to go home to? She said no. I said let me come with you then. She said I don't even know you. I said what better way to get to know each other. I said let me give you my number and I stepped to the side so she could take the paperwork from the people behind me. She had paper and a pen in the cubbyhole at her podium so she quickly scribbled her name and number and gave it to me to call her. She was not attractive in the least bit to me so I probably will not call, but it was good practice.

We went over to the Nelly podium to rent cars. My wingman already has his reserved, but when I tried to make my reservation last night it kept saying error when the booking was supposed to be completing. My wingman said he noticed the same thing then he changed it to Spanish and it worked. I asked the guy at the desk how much it would cost to rent for 1 week. He told me $389. I said bullshit. I always rent here. They always try to pull the same shit. They looked me up in the system as usual and said oh yeah. It will be $318. Shit my girl just arrived from Punta Cana. More later.

""When I stopped in at a Claro store in Santiago to recharge my minutes the guy there taught me to add internet from my phone. 3. Select "2 Blackberry Prepago" and Send. (It does not matter what type of phone you have."Blackberry" is pretty much the generic term for a smartphone in DR.
4. Select "1 Comprar paquete" and Send.
5. Select "1 Full" and Send.
6. Chose how many days you want. (As I said it is best to do 1.) And Send.
7. It will ask if you are sure that you want to buy your package. Select "1 Si" and Send.
8. You will now get a message saying that you have purchased "xyz" and you are ready to use the internet on your phone.

Claro users can roam in the US but you have to set up the account for roaming. It is not set that way automatically. You have to contact Claro. You may or may not be able to do it while you are not in the Dominican Republic.

Thanks for the info. I just turned on my Claro phone but it is not getting a signal (I don't know the phone number of the SIM). Are the Claros sim cards supposed to be able to roam in the US?Claro offers roaming, but maybe you need a specific Claro plan for that. Seems I have never gotten a signal with a DR Claro sim card in the states (I checked it maybe twice).

Verizon Jetpack and ATT MiFi offer prepaid data plans, where you can connect multiple devices. I looked at the Verizon webpage and seems they have data coverage in the DR for their jetpack.

Some tablets have a sim card slot which are probably locked to a specific carrier. Not sure if they sell unlocked tablets that take sim cards.

A part of a recent article about unlocking cell phones in the United States:

"A few months ago it became illegal for customers to unlock their cell phones without the assistance of their wireless carrier. That is to say, if you wanted to uncouple your phone and switch from say, AT&T to T-Mobile, you would first need to get permission from your current service provider. Unfortunately, obtaining such approval can be extremely time consuming and inconvenient." http://dealnews.com/features/Unlocking-Locked-Cell-Phones-The-Controversy-and-How-You-Can-Do-It-Legally/676761.html

The last day in SD was not bad. I hooked up with 3 non pro girls I know. My wingmen each had fine ladies. Those who follow my reports have read about chica Novia who had a hot sister I liked. Well that sister was again in my bed because the old Novia was MIA. However her other sister who is smoking hot showed up for my wing man. The chica was a 9 for some guys. She is high maitenance girl. She had European boy friend via cupid for while. She was looking for another sugar daddy. My boy looked like a good canidate. My girl the little sister was on the rag. I still had a great time with her dancing and talking. The other sister for my wing gave up the booty and made him happy. Chocolate grinch stiffed the girl I arranged for him. I pay for travel and expenses for ladies who visit me. This lady is a good friend for over 2 years. She prepared an awesome meal and cleaned up afterwards. Grinch stiffed her every where but the bedroom. Sad. The meal was awesome authenic Dominican fried fish with trimmings. It was incredible. http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p3497212 Picture of the apartment can be seen. Picture do this place no justice. The wanted to stay longer but the wings were through with them. They were disappointed. I hooked up with semi pro I met on my last trip. We walked around agora mall and sessioned in the room. She is giving a freeby in the morning. Good stuff. I am leaving Sunday afternoon.

Lessons learned on this trip. Good wingman are hard to fine. I had 2 and would not recommend either.

Where is this new electronic kiosk in relation to the desk where everyone usually pays for the tourist card? The kiosk is at the wall right next to the regular place you buy tourist cards (before you get to the line). There was a representative showing people how to use it. We got into the regular line first, then my wingman noticed the machine. We got out of line and went to the machine, but the girl said we can only use $10 bills which neither of us had.

Also can you share how to top up the Claro sim? I bought one my last trip in the DR but I didn't have internet on it and I was tired of buying those top up cards. I seem to remember sometime in the past you said you can top up and sign up for the internet online.https://www.etopuponline.com/beta/ I only put $10 before I left the States though because on the site the rate was showing 38 pesos to 1 dollar when the interbank exchange is showing 41 to 1 right now.

Thanks for the info. I just turned on my Claro phone but it is not getting a signal (I don't know the phone number of the SIM). Are the Claros sim cards supposed to be able to roam in the US?Mine does. No idea why. I always write the phone number on my SIM cards with a Sharpie.

Supposedly works with any Sim card purchased Internationally to connect up to 5 devices. Amazon reviews give information.

My girl the little sister was on the rag. i am sure brad pitt gives angelina jolie gifts (doesn't make her a pro). some women like talking dirty during sex, so even a non-pro or semi-pro may not mind being called a pro on occasion.

from wiktionary: "coño is a common spanish idiom expression (somewhat vulgar) primarily used in spain and the spanish caribbean. its actual meaning differs according to use, but in spain and several latin american countries it is also used in its literal sense as slang for the female genitalia, the vulva. coño has become a feature of speech to express emphasis or to stress a wide variety of emotions, actually drifting from any of its original sexual references, in a situation similar to that of "fuck" in american english. the context, speaker’s sex, pronunciation, and tone define the emotion conveyed, almost as identically done with the word "damn" in english". http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/co%c3%b1o.

I am in the early stages of planning a trip to the DR with three other guys and even though I have travelled with all of them I am a little apprehensive about it.

I assumed when OldKool said that his wingman stiffed the girl that he meant monetarily, I used the word "gift" because when giving money to a semi pro or what some guys (not me) would call a non pro they refer to the money they give the girl a gift rather than a payment. My opinion is that there is no such animal as a semi pro, she either gets paid or she doesn't.

My opinion is that there is no such animal as a semi pro, she either gets paid or she doesn't.Kind of Old Testament black or white isn't it? (Are you a Southern Baptist?) How about the definition I recently posted? :

I define semi-pros as chicas who don't get up in the morning hoping or expecting to sell their bodies for cash as they have other main sources of income (a job or living off their families or boyfriends) but would often grab the opportunity to do so if offered.Of course, even if you accept my definition, you could rightly claim that "semi-pro" is just a category of "pro" but it is still a useful distinction. Tigers and domestic cats are all "cats" but you might lose out if you treated them the same way. They behave differently and so (usually) do full-time putas and semi-pros.

I ADVISED him to provide her with a gift and cover her expences. I THINK THAT IS REASONABLE. He could not find the perfum he claimed he bought and gave her 1300 pesos. I had an extra perfum that I provided and gave her more pesos. Non putas date us because we are financially stable and kind same reason women in the states do. Yolanda is a wonderful lady. He will never go anywhere with me.I have learned also about certain guys also and those types of guys I no longer do any type of hook ups with a chica's relatives. It is so funny because we all know that a similar hot chick in the States is going to cost you regardless of what you want to admit to or call it. Now unless you are some famous movie star, musical star or some famous athlete you are not banging a hot chick in the USA for nothing for the most part. The famous actor or athlete can do it for a night or for awile, but even those guys if they continue to bang the chick she is going to eventually want something back besides just the idea that she is F*g a famous person. Just ask Mr Tiger Woods or some other athletes or stars eventually they have to put the chick up or doing something and they are not banging them for free if not you will get what Mr Woods got.

So why a guy that I know that would think nothing of dropping a few hundred dollars in a USA strip club to chicks you can barely touch, but will balk at giving a fine chica who he was hooked up with for three days and in his own words had such a great time with a mere 60 bucks to help with expenses and yes this chica was chica with a regular job. I told him I did not expect you to go out and buy her all kind of merchandise and the like, but the chica took one day off work because you asked so she could be with you the full 3 days and you act like this. I had to tell him be realistic you are not some famous latin singer or athlete and you do not have it like that so do not be a jerk just because in your mind you can. Now he wonders why the Chica does not want to even talk to him and will not see him if he comes and he wants me to give him another hook up and to that I told him nope there are plenty of casas you can go to.

Why would anyone need / want to be fixed up with a hooker? I'm not going to commit to purchase something I have not seen. That is like telling the car dealer to send you a car, any car, and you will gladly pay for it when it arrives. If I have to pay then I would rather pick out my own girl. If it is free then I would not look a gift horse in the mouth.

I recently rented from Budget rent a car at the airport for three days. My total charges came to a whopping $227. 12. Here is the breakdown of the charges:

Daily rate: $18. 00 day X 3 days=$54. 00.

Airport fee: $17. 47.

Loss / Damage waiver: $21. 95 per day X 3 days=$65. 85.

Supplemental Liability Insurance: $13. 00 per day X 3 days =$39. 00.

Some additional fees associated with the insurance: $15. 80.

Sales Tax: $35. 00.

This figures to be $75. 00 dollars a day for the smallest car I have ever drive in my life (a Kia Picanto). For $75. 00 I should be able to rent a SUV (though I understand its the DR). The insurance seems very expensive but from what I have read there is no way around it. Is there a cheaper way to rent? I want to rent a car for 7 days next time I visit and I cannot imagine paying $525. 00 dollars to rent a economy car.

It's the same as you getting a hook up from a buddy's hot chick with her similar hot relative or friend in the states for a weekend trip to vegas or somewhere.

Lets keep it real for you to hit that you are going to foot the bill in something like dinner, drinks, shows etc and if that is what get you that ass than that chick can be considered a hooker because you had to come out of your pocket with something. If she paid her own way and split the dinner bill and bought her own drinks and paid her portion of the shows and she still open the legs for you than she was not a hooker . Can that happen with a hot chick in the USA yes it can , but we all know that is far from the norm.

It was a chica with a actual job in a store but by some narrow definitions she is a hooker like most women are according to that definition. If a woman even wants anything from you anything as simple as flowers or dinner she is a hooker and in that case that is very wide umbrella. When you have woman that you can fat$K constantly and let me add she is actually a very hot chick and she does not want not the slightest thing from you not even 10 dollars to buy something from KFC than you have a non hooker.

SD is a place where if you speak no Spanish finding a chica other then putas is tough. I was raised to believe that men picked up the tab for the date. I do not expect my dates to pay for anything. Girls in the DR have little income. Guys with no experience need help. I will not hook guys with my female friends anymore. I can not control how they treat the girls. Life lesson for me let the guys figure it out like I did. I felt bad that one of my wings banged the sister of an old novia. She was looking for boy friend and gave up the booty. She had gold digger indications but she was some what hurt by the out come.

Their third car up from the smallest one, Nissan Tilda (similar to a Nissan Versa), good car. I paid about $124 for a three day rental in February, with glass/tire insurance and third party liability insurance (my mastercard credit card provides coverage for loss/damage). Third Party Liability costs about $10 per day (mandatory if you decline their loss damage insurance). If my Mastercard didn't provide coverage, I could choose Alamo's Loss/Damage coverage which includes third party liability insurance. Cost for the loss/damage insurance from Alamo is about $20 per day. https://www.alamo.com/en_US/car-rental/deals/deals-details/international/7015915-20percent-off-in-lac.html

Budget and Avis are partners. Alamo and National are partners and use the same cars. Book online at least 24 hours before arrival. The smallest Alamo car is a Chevy Spark, I believe manufactured in Asia (good little car). Next in size is the Chevy Aveo, which I rented several times and had problems with and will not rent again.

I may use Avis (Budget) or Hertz at the Port-au-Prince, Haiti airport to rent a small car for a few days, to drive in Haiti. Dominican rental cars are not allowed out of the DR.

"The Tourist Card is valid for a year from the date of purchase and is only valid for one person, who will only be able to use it once. The Tourist Card can be acquired at point of sale locations in land, air, or sea ports in the country; it is also available in Dominican embassies and consulate offices overseas and in Tour operating companies. It may also be purchased through the online portal at www.dgii.gov.do."

Good for a year from the date of purchase. If you buy it online, there is I believe a receipt you print out which might have a bar code, which you give at the airport in the DR. ISG member Tempoecorto has experience purchasing the tourist card online.

Good hotel I have used a lot and one of the best things about you are in the colonial zone and they do not bother you about multiple chicks as long as they have cedula. If a person books a single occupancy room at the Palacio and enters with a woman after 9pm the palacio might charge a fee. I know a guy who has visited the DR over 100 times and who stayed at the Palacio many times and he was charged a fee on a single occupancy room rate when he entered with an amiga after 9pm.

Barcelo Santo Domingo superior rooms with club premium access are about $103 (total price) from barcelo's website (you may have to join for free to get that rate). With the free beer, soda, juice, wine, water and snacks in the club premium lounge it is probably the best deal in Santo Domingo. Not the best location, the pool and jacuzzis are nice, newly remodeled hotel. I have entered with multiple chicas at the same and used the jacuzzi with them (not 100% chica friendly, good enough for me). www.barcelo.com/ "Special Offer for my Barceló Members. From the DR government website:

"The Tourist Card is valid for a year from the date of purchase and is only valid for one person, who will only be able to use it once. The Tourist Card can be acquired at point of sale locations in land, air, or sea ports in the country; it is also available in Dominican embassies and consulate offices overseas and in Tour operating companies. It may also be purchased through the online portal at.

www.dgii.gov.do.

"

Good for a year from the date of purchase. If you buy it online, there is I believe a receipt you print out which might have a bar code, which you give at the airport in the DR. ISG member Tempoecorto has experience purchasing the tourist card online.Anyone who has done any shopping on line should find this a normal thing. In a way, it is like your online check in which I believe most of us do by now. You fill in your details, credit card details and you get a two page document to be printed out. A receipt for your payment and the card (no longer a card) with the bar code. This trip when I landed at Santiago at 4 am, I did not have to make a detour to buy it. Handed it over to the guy prior to immigration kiosk who had a pc and scanner set up. Asked me to wait while he scanned and then waved me in. I had a carry on only and so with a stop over at the duty free to buy 3. 1 liter baileys ($62. 50) , it took about 15 minutes to get out of the airport from starting out at immigration queue.

Just me personally unless you know for certain you are not going to be with a chica coming to Santo Domingo or any place outside the USA and Canada as a rule I always book for double occupancy.Good advice, book a room for two, sometimes the price is the same or maybe $10-$15 more per night over the single occupancy rate.

Booking a package deal (air and hotel) for one traveler, you might not be able to book a double occupancy room.

The Port Morgan Hotel, http://www.port-morgan.com/, looks nice, on an island off the coast of Haiti, http://vimeo.com/22150098.

From their website:

"The charm of Hispaniola Island and the specific bewitchment of the place are difficult to describe. Many writers have written about it, such as Graham Greene and despite savage deforestation of the western side of the island, there are still a number of places yet to discover for city dwellers.

Situated between North and South America (latitude 18°5 N and longitude 73°3 W), Île à Vache forms part of the Greater Antilles at the heart of the Caribbean. It is sunny all year round and offers a wide range of exotic scenery. Ile a Vache, which owes its name to the large quantities of cattle that used to roam there, offers natural beauty between turquoise sea, green hills and plains for a total suface area of 4800 hectares. Its valleys and hillocks stretch along the rather uneven western part and the complex is located amidst this environment with its specific location in a virgin scenery which is unlikely to stay so for much longer.

A tropical climate tempered by the trade winds: a hot and sultry season (about 30°) from August to October and a dry and cooler season (about 26°) from November to April. With water temperatures between 26° and 28°C (79° and 83°F), Ferret Bay (Port Morgan), where the complex is located, is a natural deepwater bay on the north-easternly point of Île à Vache, at about 10Km from the town of Cayes which is 180Km from Port au Prince."

Worth it to spend a little more and get a room with club premium access (lounge on the 9th floor with free drinks, snacks, computers and jacuzzi, open till about 11pm at night). Early check in and late check out with the club premium.

Duty free shop open for arriving passengers at SDQ airport, where you can buy alcohol (including Belvedere vodka and expensive whisky, as well as other duty free items).

Can be useful to travel with a few bikinis to lend to amigas.

Yes that 9 floor lounge was well worth it because the chica I was with loves her presidente light and just that alone was worth the upgrade. It really is worth the upgrade because the 9th floor was enough with breakfast and the lunch for me and chica and when I was there I only bought dinner at some decent but not expensive places across the raised walk way. When I did the math I seen I did not buy breakfast, lunch, water, alcohol or some other things and the chica really enjoyed room, jacuzi and did not really want to leave the room that much another cost reduction.

I usually do an apartment with one chica and any others I see on a trip will be at hotels and that is what I tried with the Barcelo in September and will be using them again.

Greene's rage at Duvalier stemmed from his first visit to Haiti in 1954 during the Caribbean nation's brief heyday as a hip destination for the jet-set before the election in 1957 of Duvalier, a supposedly unassuming country doctor, who soon turned into a bloody dictator.

I had the link saved on my old computer and now I can't find it. I have looked on in the past post and can't find it. Does anyone have it. Please send or post.

Jao gave me a lot of good advice then, so like he said, just ask!

On that note, I'm going to tag on my question: after sitting out 2012, I'm planning a trip there in the next 2 months.

I want to try the cupid route this time. So should I stay in a hotel in the city SD, or in an outlying beach resort?

What's a better move, ask a chica to spend time with me on the beach to guarantee some overnight action? Or stay close to where they live thus removing their travel (potential obstacle to hooking up)?

Thanks in advance!

Any recommendations for accommodations etc is appreciated.I stayed in Juan Dolio years ago for 10 days. I was bored out of my mind. I stayed at the hilton, it was ok, the pool was cool, and golf was cool. In hindsight I would have stayed at a AI resort. I would have spent less, more options to eat, drink, and no need to rent a car.

I'm sure JD have changed in the last year but doubt it would be dramatic change.

What do you want to do? And how long is your stay? If you just want a quick weekend get a way I recommend a resort.

Last time I stayed there, I checked in at 10am and was given a room and checked out at around 5pm, no extra charge. Free wifi, free parking, free drinks and snacks (red and white wine from Chile or Spain). Cigar store and cigar lounge in the lobby. Live entertainment some nights in the lobby bar, some nights karaoke. I stayed there for a week one time, package deal with orbitz (air and hotel), the club premium room with the package deal cost me about $77 (orbitz promo code TRAVEL100 takes $100US off a a 7 night air and hotel package in Mexico, Caribbean and Hawaii, www.orbitz.com/travel-deals/orbitz-coupon-promo-code/).

Having said that, I think my last trip via delta where I had a stopover at NYC, one baileys cost $18 (compared to 3 for $62 this trip but I cannot swear that at NYC, it was a one liter bottle, which it is this time).

AI is nice if you want to relax, go with a favorita amiga; sex, eat, drink and sleep in a safe, quiet environment. If it is a first time meeting up with the woman, maybe meet up first in Santo Domingo, if there is chemistry invite her to an AI (All Inclusive Hotel).

My last trip, the longtime GF who I hadn't seen in 6 months was on the rag when I visited (a short three day trip, didn't stop me from barebacking with her, some guys are squeamish about menstrual fluid, I put a dark colored t-shirt under her ass, so the blanket and sheets wouldn't get stained. Shout small laundry towelettes can be useful to have to clean a blanket or clothes, http://www.drugstore.com/shout-wipe-and-go-portable-stain-treater-towelettes/qxp68252). Inviting a chica to an AI for a few nights, some guys might want to know the woman's menstrual schedule.

Some AIs are nicer than others and not always reflective of their price.

4 million people in Santo Domingo, if you don't hit it off with a particular Cupid chica, you'll have other options.

I have not worked on the maps in months, if there are changes to be done please advise to update the map. Many years ago, when I first flew into Santiago's airport, the person at the immigration booth for arriving passengers had what looked like a telephone book with names. I presented my passport and the inspector looked in the book to see if my name was there. All arriving passengers after getting their luggage from the carousel had to wait in line and pass their luggage through an x-ray machine, before they could exit the Santiago Airport.

.849-873-5678, various types of massage including with Nuru Gel, happy endings (located in Plaza Coplan which is between calle 1ra and calle tomas rodriguez de sosa on El Malecon). From ISG member Bruce52: Plaza Coplan is a 6-story building way out on the Malecon. SlipOnMe is in apartment 504.I was able to go by there and check it out. It is in a building named Plaza Coplan. It looks like Cabrini Green from the outside. I thought it was abandoned. Then I called the phone number to ask where it was located. The girl said it is by appointment. I told her I was outside though. She said she would call me back. Then she called me back and asked where I was. I stepped back and saw her up on the balcony of a higher floor and waved to her. She told me how to get into the building and what apt to go to.

When I got there it took them about 3 minutes to open the door. I was setting the spy cam on my cell phone up in the mean time. There was a guy inside. Come to fucking think of it I think his ass might have been Haitian. Because I was speaking Spanish with the girl and then the dude started talking asking me if I needed him to translate. I said no I speak 6 languages. The girl asked which ones so I named them. After that he kept speaking to me in French. I was thinking damn this guy's French is pretty good for a Dominican.

But anyway. This place was decked out inside. Outside: The Carter, Inside: Nino Brown's crib. They had the blow up swimming pool that is in the picture in the middle of the living room. I sat down on the couch and watched the Nuru gel video (same video on the site; I hadn't watched it before) on the big screen. Those are the only two girls who work there. They told me the girl there right now was the one on top. I kept waiting to see some faces and some freak shit but nothing. After the video I told her to show me the next one, but she said that was it. It was 9:45 and the last appointment is at 10. The girl was already in with a customer so she said I would have to wait 45 minutes. They have 2 bedrooms. She said I could wait in the other bedroom to be more comfortable if I liked. I told them I didn't want to wait 45 minutes so I would just call and make an appointment for tomorrow.

She said the price was 2300 for an hour. She kept repeating that it includes massaging the genitals. I asked how much for half hour. She said it is only by the hour. Then it comes up later about the regular massage for half hour for 700. But the only one who does that is the dark skinned lady whose arm you can see in one of the pictures on the website. It is by appointment only. She wasn't even there. I headed out and went to mess with some street walkers. I'm going back in a few minutes to get one of them. I forgot to ask about the damn soapy! Fucking lights just went out in the hotel! Then a generator outside my window crunk up!

For this weekend (or however long) they closed the malecon from right past Jaragua up to Maximo Gomez. They covered the street with sand and put like 12 swimming pools there. It was cold out tonight when my non-pro took me there so there were not many people. But tomorrow and Saturday the place will be packed.

We were down there chillin being love birds and all of a sudden a transformer popped. The place went pitch black. She grabbed my hand and said let's get out of here before they start robbing and shooting and shit.

From Dominican Today;"Malecón 'resort' opens at noon. The sand terrace or 'resort' with 12 swimming pools set up by the city authorities on the Malecón will be open to the public as of noon Thursday, said Mayor Roberto Salcedo. The oceanfront avenue will be closed to traffic between the José Heredía and the Máximo Gómez intersections, and between 700 and 800 people are expected to visit the beach-style installations. Eight of the pools are for children, with a capacity for 40-45 kids, and the remaining four can hold between 25 to 30 adults. Salcedo added that each person entering the area would be checked to prevent the carrying and use of firearms. Some 200 municipal police agents will be posted in the area and 14 security cameras have been installed." http://www.dominicantoday.com/dr/local/2013/3/28/47147/Malecon-resort-opens-at-noon

I really did not know what to call this report, but just an update on my last trip to SD. As you know, my reports sometimes come with drama to fun.

So, I spend a lot of time with my novia in her barrio. As reference, as you come in to SD on Las Americas highway you take the first exit after the underpass and it is the sports bar where we met at Jao. Back behind that sports bar is my novia's barrio. Anyway, the barrio is such an interesting place as everyone knows each other which can be good and bad. I like the simpleness of the lifestyle from good to bad.

Also, if you can meet someone who is a good person you will not believe the talent that is running around there that might be able to introduce you to a nice non pro. I just mean non pro girls who are dimes from 18+ who have never met a gringo. Now that can be bad because since I have a novia in the barrio you know the saying "never shit where you eat" because I am always shocked when I meet someone and they will say I know you your "D- boyfriend and I have never met this person. So, never think you are not noticed in the barrio especially as a gringo. I know we all talk about fitting in, but never think people do not know you are gringo I do not care what you look like. It is like living in the projects, everybody knows who lives there even if they all look a like.

Now what I love about the barrio is the barbecue chicken stands where you can get a great whole chicken with plantains for 250. 300 pesos that will feed a few people. You cannot beat that. Just hanging during the day in the barrio can be fun. You will have an opportunity to meet a nice girl if you know someone and just are hanging around with them. It will happen. By yourself, you need to speak spainish and have good personal skills. Just the truth.

Now the bad. Do not hang out in the barrio late night. Just not worth it even if you know people. I know in an earlier report I met my novia in a local club, but I was lucky and with someone. That just usually does not happen. Also, the one thing locals will not lie to you about is if they say an area is bad or do not hang with a person as they are problem trust them they have no reason to lie. Now, I always ask my novia do you want to hang out in the local scene and she always says no. Many problems at night and I always think is she is lying because she does not want me to see local chicas. Now again, I have been going to her barrio for a couple years and I have never seen one problem. Well the last time I was there, I saw a hit run when a car hit a taxi and took off. The same night we were coming back from Venezuela to drop off her friend. We stopped in the barrio to get a quick bite around 3am in her barrio by a local night club. Anyone, who has seen "boyz and hood" when they are all hanging on Crenshaw and someone sets off an AK 47 and everyone starts running everywhere. Well as I went to get my barbecue sandwich someone started shooting and chaos rang out and everyone started running everywhere I looked at my chica and asked can I still get my sandwich and she said NOOOO vamos. Anyway, I am never hanging out in the barrio late night I just happened to be dropping off her friend and we stop to get something to eat. Again, just do not hang out in the barrios late night not worth it.

Finally, if you can meet people and get a chance to meet some good honest people in the barrio you might have some fun and meet people you would have never met just mongering at the casa. Again, I do not recommend this advice for everyone just for those who want to do something different and maybe meet a hot non pro. Of course, do this during the day time and early evening never late at night.

I really did not know what to call this report, but just an update on my last trip to SD. As you know, my reports sometimes come with drama to fun.I guess maybe its why the DR is into gun control and trying to get firearms off the streets, less firearms, not more.

Also, the one thing locals will not lie to you about is if they say an area is bad.Medellin, Colombia taxi driver tells the coffee guy Todd Carmichael, not to go to a certain part of Medellin, Colombia, during the daytime, because they kill police there (at 1:27 of this video; http://www.travelchannel.com/video/coffee-hunt-in-colombia).

Since I have never been to Medellin, Colombia, I wouldn't let what happens in some area of a city or a country scare me from going there and I would try not to focus on the negative.

With respect to a bad area I am talking if your first time going is 3am then you might be getting into trouble, but again I am out late all the time in SD all the time all over the place and never had a problem. Also, some real bad people come up to me in her barrio and say hello to me and they say i saw you in La Victoria and give me a lot of respect for visiting my novia's brother, but that is another story. I am like WTF i do not know these people but you cannot beleive who will see you when you are not looking at them.

I drive a small car in the DR, I don't look like a high roller, people don't bother with me, when I drive into certain neighborhoods. Sometimes I wish there were more people out in the streets late at night after I have driven some women home. Not fun being lost in some neighborhood late at night and everyone is sleeping and no one out to ask directions.

Since I have never been to Medellin, Colombia, I wouldn't let what happens in some area of a city or a country scare me from going there and I would try not to focus on the negative.Took a trip there in November for the first time going to Colombia my hotel was in the more affluent area of EL Poblado where I stayed with an online chica. I gave myself 2 days alone to go have fun and go to Central Medellin where the fun was and just to get a feel for the city. I asked the person at the hotel about getting me a taxi to go there and this guy goes into that it is very dangerous to go there and I asked even in broad daylight and he said yes and by the time he was done if I had not done my own research in the Medellin section of ISG he would have scared me thinking it was an active war zone where they are throwing grenades at you. I went anyway had a good time even at night with no problems and I went plainly dressed no smart phones, jewelry to central city and by the second day I had found out how to use the metro train to go there again with no problems. I was told the same thing about the Medellin metro that I was told about the Santo Domingo metro that is very very dangerous.

My point is that I think while the warnings are real and should be taken serious I also think that like in the DR this hotel employee was instructed to overstated it so much that a hotel visitor will be so scared of going out that he stays there and spends money there. I think this is especially true with the Hotel and casinos on the malecon in Santo Domingo and the AI in the DR. If you read some reviews of some of the hotels on the malecon you hear people that have been scared so bad by the hotel staff they do not dare leave the Hotel area and this is even more so at the AI.

I have been going to one place that is right by the Mecure Hotel its not that big but it does get packed with woman and they party hard there its a good place to go solo, or with a chica. They have rooms or cabanas upstairs where if you and some chicas want to get it going you can and If I heard the bartender right one way you could get a room by buying certain bottles of drinks.

We went to casas in El Centro every day of my trip except Sunday. We even ate at a chicken place where they give you plastic gloves to eat with instead of handing you napkins.

You do want to walk with a sense of purpose, which can be kind of hard because these casas are not easy to find (they do not have signs screaming "enter here"). The sex scene in Medellin is very hidden.

Where exactly is Pure?Pure is the former Coppa disco in the former Hotel Melia (now called Hotel Magna 365 soon to be called Sheraton again). Between the Jaragua and the InterContinental Hotels on the Avenida George Washington also known as El Malecon. Photos from Fiesta Colombiana in Pure Disco on the Malecon in Santo Domingo: http://portal.bufeo.com/search/galleries/3184/.

The casino company which probably operates Pure disco in Santo Domingo also operates other casinos with a Pure disco in Puerto Plata, Santiago and Bayahibe. Melymel performing in the Pure Disco in Puerto Plata: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htlmGPJMDqY.

The workers are not all white and rich.

People complain that there is nothing to do in Santo Domingo.

If someone can't stomach to be in an air conditioned brand new mall, with white people, morenas and others who are rich and poor, then don't go to Blue Mall or Agora Mall.

The old Atarazana 9 bar used to be fun (I took GoGo there one night). Upstairs there was a small dance floor and tables, got a hand job there while sitting at table watching people dance, no one could see the woman's hand under the table.

For a BJ in a bar maybe Bocanegra Bar just up the block from Conde De Penalbe Hotel. On a slow night with no other customers in the bar, there are areas that are just about pitch black, no one will see.

mardonius give us your thoughts on the difference between columbia and dr chicks and savepros you are welcome to jump in. anyone else is also welcome. i am interested to know about sex, looks, and vibe. let us know your experiences. thanks.of course i have way more exp with dr woman so my comparisons are imo are going to be flawed to some degree.

my first impression and i will start with the online chica and she matched the passion and sex that i have received from online dr chicas. i had picked her almost 2 yrs ago when i was using latin euro and she was 1 of 2 colombians i picked and the rest being dr chicas. so i had been talking to this chica for awile, but i finally decided to go there and she did not disappoint in any way. she lives with her parents (she is 26) , but she came over after work on my third day (of course she did not know i had been there 2 days) and we met went out and ate and the usual first time meeting things.

now i notice chica did not bring a bag or anything just her purse so i do wonder about it a bit, but did not dwell on it and went on to dinner. well there was no need to even wonder about that she had planned on not staying the first night, but that did not stop her when we got back from restaurant from getting in the shower with me and than it was on. now when we were done she said she will be leaving, but will be coming back in the morning and sure enough chica came back with a small luggage bag early like at 8. 00 am and stayed the next 3 days and nights with me. i really do not know what was up with that because when she first came over she asked me to get on phone and speak to her mother which i did as much as i could. now one thing about this chica is that she has never talked about any of her problems and i know she is far from being a rich colombian. so for everyone that has that narrow view that all online chicas are hoes especially if they are from the third world this chica never asked me for a dime and of course i paid for dinner and taxi, but still chica never asked for anything to go in her pocket. when it was time for me to go she gave me a kiss and wish me safe trip home and for me to call her when i arrived home. she did not know that before she left i put my leftover colombian money in her luggage for her it was a small thing to me but i knew she could use it.

as far as comparisons in looks between colombian and dominican imo its very close and the edge will go maybe more to your personal likes and taste. if you are a breast man than you are in heaven in medellin because everywhere you look there it seem you see a nice pair even on the ugly chicas. i am more of an ass man, but i was impressed by the nice breasts i saw on many beautiful women regardless if real or not it really looks good. i will say personally i would give dr women the edge in the looks department, but that just a personal taste and i would fully understand if another guy says the opposite its that close and you just can't go wrong either way imo.

it seems to me that you need to know more spanish in medellin than in santo domingo if you are going to attempt to talk to regular women, but i need to go there more to really know if my sense is correct on that.

medellin vs santo domingo

just on my first visit i say medellin will more than match the fun you can have in santo domingo and that to me could be a wash you will have fun in both. i think medellin has more casas, but they are more hidden than there are in santo domingo. they have many more casas it seems, but even with the medellin casas map they are not as easy to pin point and they seem to be more rep001tered. they also have more strip clubs that are like the usa but at much cheaper price and unlike the usa strip clubs you can go there have plenty of fun and not spend a whole lot of money by usa standards.

as far as the cities themselves this is where medellin has a big edge it is definitely a more prosperous city in comparisons imo. now that does not mean that do not have some very poor barrios on those hills because they do, but in regards to infrastructure medellin has that over santo domingo if that really means anything to you.

as far as hotels they have many also so there is not a big difference in hotel prices in fact medellin as far as i can see maybe a little cheaper. the only difference in price for me was the flight and that seems from where i am flying from will cost 150. 00 more than going to santo domingo. however with better plaining its seems that can be reduced to 100 or a little lower.

it seems to me that you need to know more spanish in medellin than in santo domingo if you are going to attempt to talk to regular women, but i need to go there more to really know if my sense is correct on that.

medellin vs santo domingo

just on my first visit i say medellin will more than match the fun you can have in santo domingo and that to me could be a wash you will have fun in both. i think medellin has more casas, but they are more hidden than there are in santo domingo. they have many more casas it seems, but even with the medellin casas map they are not as easy to pin point and they seem to be more rep001tered. they also have more strip clubs that are like the usa but at much cheaper price and unlike the usa strip clubs you can go there have plenty of fun and not spend a whole lot of money by usa standards.

as far as the cities themselves this is where medellin has a big edge it is definitely a more prosperous city in comparisons imo. now that does not mean that do not have some very poor barrios on those hills because they do, but in regards to infrastructure medellin has that over santo domingo if that really means anything to you.

as far as hotels they have many also so there is not a big difference in hotel prices in fact medellin as far as i can see maybe a little cheaper. the only difference in price for me was the flight and that seems from where i am flying from will cost 150. 00 more than going to santo domingo. however with better plaining its seems that can be reduced to 100 or a little lower.damn that was a great analysis. wow i might check outcolumbia some time. thanks.

Damn that was a great analysis. Wow I might check outcolumbia some time. Thanks.Viagra, Cialis readily and easily available for purchase in Colombia? Morning after pill and other birth control pills readily and easily available in Colombia? Do you have to pack a jacket for a trip to Medellin? All Inclusive Hotels on the beach within an hour drive of Medellin? How are the Paisas (Medellin women) with foreign guys in public locations (Embarrassed, affectionate or some wouldn't be seen dead walking with a foreigner?)

American culture reviled or celebrated in Colombia? (major streets in Medellin named after US presidents? Restaurants and bars with American themes?) In Santo Domingo Johnny Rockets Restaurant resembles a 1950s American Hamburger joint, Lincoln Road Restaurant has a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air on a wall, Sinatra Bar in Plaza Uris is about the crooner Frank Sinatra, Blanch Social Lounge has a Charlie Chaplin theme, though born in Britain, he made movies in Hollywood.

I have not been with any Dominicanas on the island who had plastic surgery (one had breast reduction surgery).

Damn that was a great analysis. Wow I might check some time. Thanks. If you do, I might suggest that you don't limit yourself to just MDE. Colombia is a big country with about 47 million people compared to about 10 million in the DR. Besides popular areas like Bogotá, Barranquilla, Cartagena, MDE, Cali, etc, there are also places like Manizales (check Feria de Manizales).

If your Spanish is on point, other areas to consider might be Bucaramanga and San Andrés (do some research). If your Spanish is not good, I would stick to MDE. I've never been to Cartagena, but I've heard from friends and read on ISG that it is another gringo friendly type area (perhaps other with experience can verify).

Also, keep in mind that Colombia has a very large Afro-Colombian population and unlike most Dominicans I've met, the Colombians are very proud of their African heritage, similar to Afro-Cubans in that regard. There are places like Chocó, which is pretty much all Afro-Colombians.

I wouldn't compare Colombia to the DR, but instead, appreciate each for what it has to offer. There are fast food places in Colombia and you can get viagra and drugs (I wouldn't advise) and all the other stuff you can get in the DR and more.

PS. I met a babe with boob implants at Pure in Santo Dominigo last month, but I agree that I found this to be an anomaly in the DR vs a place like MDE where I found it to be much more common.

Have you been to a Cocolo Festival in the DR?: "The Cocolo Festival spotlights the tunes, dances and songs that are actually patterned in the tunes of the original Cocolo popular music. These have African as well as European influences which make them remarkably exceptional in the Dominican Republic, if not distinct from every different songs in the world." http://rubenhuffman410.skyrock.com/3047034525-Real-Dominican-Republic-Holidays-The-Cocolo-Festival.html. Are African roots being hidden or masked in these celebrations?

I believe you once posted that you are incredulous as to a good reason why people would make multiple trips to the DR.

Any youtube videos of attractive Colombianas in their 20's being affectionate with foreign males (old, young, white, African-American or Asian) in public places in Medellin, Colombia?

Viagra and Cialis can easily be bought over the counter in Colombia without a prescription?Yes, but there is no generic there for Cialis.

Morning after pill and other birth control pills are easily available in Colombia? Not sure as I have never had a need for it.

Can a person rent a car and easily drive from city to city in Colombia? As anyone can do in the DR.No need to rent a car in Colombia or drive from city to city as both taxis and plane tickets are dirt cheap (plane fares: Bogota to Cali about $30 (OW). The highest fare is Bogota to San Andres ($300 RT) because it is an island in the Caribbean and everything there is expensive.) Plus I doubt you would want to tackle the Andes mountain range in a rental car. In addition Colombian cities are larger and it is not as easy to find your way around as it is in DR. Cities such as Bogota are laid over a mountain range so there are many twists and turns, but the streets are laid out logically with calles, carreras, and avenidas in numerical order. Taxis use meters, unlike DR, and are newer cars with air conditioning, albeit small such as a Ford Festiva.

I believe you once posted that you are incredulous as to a good reason why people would make multiple trips to the DR.LOL, yes you can get dick pills over the counter without a prescription in Colombia.

I've been to the DR over 40 times so I don't think there is anything wrong with a person going there. I have family and business ties in the DR and PR so I visit those places a lot.

I also think it a good idea to visit other places, in addition to the DR. I recently had a great time in Thailand, for instance, and I prefer to enjoy each place for what it has to offer, as opposed to comparing places to the USA or other destinations.

Another place I enjoyed was Cuba and I suggest Americans check it out before it opens up. Everyone in the world is there except us. The government is oppressive, which is a downside, but I loved the people there, which is what matters the most. Here is a good clip on Cuba (2nd vid on page)

So it is not safe to drive all over Colombia, one reason I don't have much desire to go to Colombia.

Good All Inclusive Hotels on the beach facing the Caribbean Sea, in Colombia, priced at under $100 per person for a double occupancy room?
