Not sure as I have never had a need for it.Yes they sell morning after pills over the counter in Colombia. 6 dollars each.

Its common knowledge the people who badmouth Colombia are too scared to go, maybe they don't make Depends undergarments in their size?

Better natural bodies, why the need for plastic surgery if the bodies are naturally beautiful. There is no "need". But women are women anywhere you go. They never see themselves how we see them. They always want to change something. I think you don't find this in DR because women there are much "simpler" (eg. Country folk). Colombianas are really urban, fashionable, and faddish. And right now breast implants, ass implants, and sculpted waists are the in thing there. I recently reported in the Cali section that when I was there a couple of months ago my girl told me that she wanted to take fat from her waist and put into her ass. First of all there is zero fat in her waist. Second her ass is already perfect. I flat out told her it was a dumb idea. But people want what they want.

I've rented a duplex apartment in MDE that had flat screen TVs up and downstairs and an outside jacuzzi on my balcony, which overlooked the skyline of MDE for $75 a night with full kitchen, doorman service and the works.Free beer, wine, soda, juice, coffee, snacks, large swimming pool, two jacuzzis, within 30 minutes of Caribbean beaches, as I can get with the Barcelo Santo Domingo Hotel for $77 per night, any place like that in Medellin?

Only Bogota, Cali, Barranquilla, Santa Marta, and Cartagena. Colombianas are very affectionate, but I myself am not a PDA kind of guy. I routinely stay in the houses of some of my Colombianas. My ex-girlfriend's parents in Cali used to always insist I stay at their house. Her or her mom would make 3 meals / day and they never wanted anything from me. You don't see all those requests for money / sick grandmother stories in Colombia as you see in DR. Colombianas and Brasileiras alike have pride and would never ask you for anything unless they are hookers. My guess didn't need to show ID to anyone or any of that stuff. I didn't need snacks because I had a fridge full of food and chicas coming over to cook before we hit my private jacuzzi on my balcony. Also, these apartments came with WIFI included and a cell phone to make and receive local calls.

Here are some pics of another apartment. The first is the projector screen I had in the play room.

MDE is not on the coast so you would probably stay in a coastal city if you want the beach or take a hopper over to San Andres or maybe hit Islas del Rosario or Tierra Bomba.

Another place I enjoyed was Cuba and I suggest Americans check it out before it opens up. Everyone in the world is there except us. The government is oppressive, which is a downside, but I loved the people there, which is what matters the most. Here is a good clip on Cuba (2nd vid on page)

https://vimeo.com/channels/370059/39086252Traveling to Cuba is illegal for most Americans, with the possibility of a $75,000US fine.

Traveling to Cuba is illegal for most Americans, with the possibility of a $75, 000US fine.I know this, which is why I've only been 3 times. In fact, one of the best things about it was not seeing Americans. I was in Santiago de Cuba and always felt like a novelty there. I recall one time going into a regular club and the girls asking me if I was Dominican. When I told them I was American they started to cheer like I was a professional athlete or something, LOL.

Of course if you go, you go at your own risk. I have a friend that recently went and didn't like Havana. I've never been to La Havana, but this is also a guy that lives in Sea Horse Ranch on the North Coast so that is how he rolls. I think it wasn't upscale enough for his taste. You are correct, it is nice to have an apartment, invite women over, they will cook and clean, can have a great time.

The first time I have smoked marijuana in over 20 years was in that apartment on the Malecon. Attractive Dominicana with a regular job came over the first night I met her in person (I had chatted with her online and seen her naked on webcam). We drank vodka, she took out a joint asked me to try it (shit made me paranoid, I don't like it). I had taken a Cialis earlier in the day, first night in the DR, no sex previously in the US for over 6 months, so we went at it. No condom. Multiple orgasms (which never happens with me), she stayed wet the whole time, photos and film no problem. I'll post a pic of her. She drove her car home at 5am.

If you just want to stay one night, you can get a superior room with club premium access and continental breakfast for around $103US which includes all taxes and fees. Join Barcelo for free to get that rate or use Orbitz code SPRING15 which expires today (SPRING15 Orbitz code book by March 31, 2013, travel by May 31, 2013).

Free wifi, early check in and late check out, free parking. Generally chica friendly. ISG guys have stayed there and also visited when I was there. An ISG member saw Daddy Yankee staying at the Barcelo. I saw some Latino preacher guy staying there with two hot women.

Why waste money traveling to a country, just to prove a point. Since you love Colombia so much, why do you waste any of your precious time insulting Dominicans and members like me on the DR forum? Somehow some of you guys who love Colombia are miserable. I am afraid if I go to Colombia something in the water there might make me bitter and nasty, as some of the Colombian lovers are.

Thanks.

Have you run into many lesbian or bisexual Colombianas?I was convinced for a long time that the cultural norms in the DR would not allow for a bi woman to admit she was bi, unless she was a hard core pro (I have to admit that my first experience with a bi woman was in Sto Domingo with a pro at one of the casas and was fantastic, even though I often profess to only frequent semi- and non-pros).

Recently, I tried tagged. Com, using bisexual as a limiter on the search function. I must have messaged 30 women, but I did come up with a girl who was willing to to a threesome for a fee. If I had the time, there were bi women wiling t meet me and have dinner, but my approach was a bit on the crude side, and most of them appeared not to want to be thought of as wh*res.

Anyway, this approach works to find bi women, but if you are the type, like me, who visits the DR for two days maximum before returning to the USA, you will need to message a large number of women.

By the way, I am happy to share the name of the girl who was willing to take a night, cruise the bars, and do a threesome with me (but she will charge).

I had an online chica in santo domingo tell me when I first met her, that she was a lesbian. She showed me a photo of an attractive Dominicana she had in her wallet and she asked me to take her to Cha the gay disco on the Malecon where maybe she could meet another lesbian. We went and stayed for a few drinks, when we left there were some attractive women arriving at the place. She came back to the apartment where I was staying, she went swimming in the apartment building's pool at 4am, in her bra and panties (reminds of when that would happen in Sosua at 4am). We had sex that night.

There is/was a small lesbian bar on a side street in Gazcue, a block or two up from Avenida Independencia.

That club premium really looks nice.

I checked several websites and atleast at german online sites cheapest I found was about 50€ per night which is about 70$ at booking. Com.

The norm is around 100$

Even if I register at barcelo they have the most expensive prices. They want to charge me 200€ per night LOL.

But they also offer a best price thing. If you book at barcelo and find a cheaper price within 48 hours, they offer you the same price. 10%

So seems best bet is to book at barcelo whatever the price is and mail them after a offer from a other website.

Got into NJ yesterday, I've got 2 weeks of a side job that will make me plenty of money that I can't pass up. I almost want to forgo the money, the only thing I miss about the states is the money. Most of my work is done remotely and I have employees around the globe, but this job is 100% profit and I can't pass it up.

Still have Cialis in my system from my last night / morning down there and refuse to pay the prices of the girls here.

Anyway. 2 weeks and I'll be back.

Quick story, I've seen a lot of posts regarding girls asking for stuff.

My barber, myself and some of his clients were talking about women and how they are always asking for stuff. One of his clients stated the only women who don't ask are mute, my barber states, that's not true, stuck his hand out, like he was asking for something, and went unhhh unhhh, I was laughing my ass off.

I had a pro Novia she was also bi. Often pros tire of men and fine satifaction with women. The happy hour dollars starts their initiation and before you know they are eating pussy and liking it. My girl was awesome in 3somes. She truly loved sex. Finding the right girl is the key. She will do all the work for you getting the other girl. We went to a casa and picked the other girl. What a departure from my mudane life. In a casa with a pretty girl picking up another girl. WOW! I did this twice and the sex was a off the charts. Smoke and sex toys in a jacuzzi at a cabana. I have seen many women who say they are open minded on dating sites. If a pro knows that is what you are for she will turn you on to girls who are down. Having chica friends who are pros can be very useful. They know many other girls who are in the life. If they like you you they help you with what you are looking for. This works in all countries. Communication is the key to a good time.

It surprises me that someone so intelligent can't understand that most people view you as fake, and a spoiled cry baby.

Don't reply to my posts please and don't put my name in your posts, and you won't have any problem from me.The insults that you have hurled at me,"nuts, belongs in an insane asylum, weird, writes BS". You say all the Senior guys have lost respect, if so, I don't care. You say Newbies say I am weird (weird in what I write or weird in person). I live in New York and don't see any Newbies in person here. Maybe I do a few (less than a week at a time trips to DR) per year now. I have met Newbies at SDQ's airport and given them a free ride into Santo Domingo. I have shown some Newbies various p4p venues using my rental car (including Mr E and Sabor). I never asked them to do anything or experience anything weird. I don't know what you mean by weird. Being plain vanilla is not always fun.

There are guys on this site who I would trust my life to, Revere, Cagedp1967 and others.

I have Never revealed any private information about anyone on this site. There was one ISG member who used to post in this forum, he told me not to mention a certain hotel on this site (he had referred the hotel to me) so I respected his wishes and never made an outright recommendation of that hotel. That ISG member no longer posts on this site and that hotel went out of business.

I always post when I will be in the DR and where I will be, anyone is free to meet me in person and I do my best to show people around in the DR for free.

Maybe you should read the Cartagena, Colombia forum, seems police there are pulling over taxis and shaking down Mongers who are riding inside those taxis. I have never heard of that occurring in the DR.

I guess you won't be sending a video or photos of the beautiful, all natural paisas who walk around arm in arm with you in public in Medellin, Colombia. I'll post photos of DR chicas pushed up against me in public locations, just to show that even an old, insane, loser with no friends like me, can get lots of love in public by DR women on the island.

I felt in love with that hotel as well. I wanted to stay in Zona Colonial on my next trip. But I will choose the barcelo even if it is a bit further out.

You are correct about the pricing, a few days ago I was getting a rate $103US for a Superior room with Club Premium access, from Barcelo's website, after I logged in with my email and password. Today those rates are about $200US.

May is usually the beginning of the slow season in the DR and usually hotel prices decrease throughout the DR.

Your advice is good, search various sites on different days of the week to get a good price.

As a heads up, some sites may give a price not showing the 28% in taxes. Orbitz and the Barcelo site show the price with the 28% in taxes and fees included in the rate.

My comment below about a certain individual providing information to newbies, which I think is very misleading will be explained. I will explain why in the Gogo forum so I don't take away from the Jetblue and Barcelo talks.Sigue (continue) Porfavor (please). Some people like BDSM, I might be one of those people. Your insults could be giving me a jolly.

Hermano, Poppy, what do the Colombianos say to you during sex?

I am not fluent in Spanish, Google translate is free to use, will translate and there is a speaker looking icon in the translation box which will sound the word out. If someone doesn't know how to pronounce Sigue in Spanish, you can type that word in google translate, click the speaker looking icon button and the word will be pronounced in Spanish, http://translate.google.com/?hl=en&tab=wT#auto/en/sigue.

The pool in these photos has some clear panels on its floor so people below near the sidewalk can look up into the pool, as such it is a public location on Avenue George Washington (El Malecon). David McCullough's "1776" and "The Path Between the Seas: The Creation of the Panama Canal, 1870-1914", I listened to from audible in the car and using earphones with an mp3 player, with McCullough narrating "1776", good voice. http://www.audible.com/

In February 2013, I flew New York JFK direct to La Romana, LRM, for a total price of $214US round-trip (all taxes and fees in that price), on Jetblue (good size leather seats throughout the entire airplane). I posted information about that fare sale on the ISG and a Senior ISG member rudely posted afterwards that I should have posted the information sooner. Now it seems you have a problem with Jetblue being mentioned on this site.

I will not respond to every post that may have untrue statements or belligerent rants about me.

I will give any amount of money if someone can point out 1 hustler in the photo I posted below showing El Malecon in the afternoon.

Mr. GoGo seems to want to peddle the lie that there are hustlers and scammers everywhere in Santo Domingo.

By Mr. Gogo (original post in Mr. Gogo in the DR Forum)

Continued from the SD forum:

Some people are trying to make newbies believe that they can arrive in SD with no Spanish skills, rent a car and pull normal girls easily. You will get your feelings hurt and go home broke and never return to SD if you believe this. There are newbie spots that are set up for these type of guys. Black Beards and FOD have everything set up to make the newbie expirience enjoyable and hassle free. But these are on the North Coast in Puerto Plata.

But no! Some newbies want to skip the easy part not understanding that you have to crawl before you walk. Also some newbies don't want to be around other mongerers so they skip the normal monger spots. Posters in the SD forum have them think that everything is a cakewalk in SD.

SD has crazy traffic and drivers. SD has hustlers everywhere waiting on unsuspecting newbies. SD has police on the lookout for newbies who they can shake down. The girls run the best game on the island. And add no Spanish skills to this newbie and he is a sitting duck just waiting to get plucked.

Just read the newbie reports in the SD forum. They usually go to the over-priced " Girlshouse" or "Skyhigh" or "305" and pay 100usd for 30 minutes of bullshit. Maybe GBP to fuck on dirty sheets. Newbies with no Spanish skills can't go to the discos. The strip clubs are usually mostly Dominican so they better not go there. The street walkers are hit and miss. EL Conde (Gringo spot) gets boring after two hours. Turn down the wrong street at night and your ass is grass. So some people will have you believe you can stay at the Barcelo hotel and pull chicas. There is a fee to bring outside girls there. The two hookers they have there are over-priced. And for 103usd per night with a CONTINENTAL breakfast? There are far better options. Most of the guys that have success in SD speak fluent Spanish and most of the time are Latinos. These guys have made many trips over the years and usually have novias there where they have met the family and put in time. So let not lead a newbie into believing SD is gringo friendly for a first time, non Spanish speaking gringo.

SD kicked my ass the first two times I went and had me driving 100mph to Sosua for relief. Then I met a couple expats who live there that showed me the ropes. Without their input I would probably still be lost in SD. Newbies should mix the trip up with Balckbeards, Sosua and finishing for a couple days in Sd to get what I'm saying. Even if your Spanish is on par you will still need to have time to be successful. Most girls in SD live with there parents so if they don't know you they probably won't let their daughter stay over-night. Most SW and casa girls fuck hourly, not usually nightly. Most SD girls don't care about offering GFE to strangers. They would rather go home to the bario and be percieved as a good girl to their families. Sd has so many lonely women that once you have several visits and invest some time in a few chicas, the rewards are great. But what weekend warrior who doesn't speak Spanish can do this? None.

Barcelo Santo Domingo Hotel, I have stayed at multiple times, and never been charged a guest fee (I have had both single and double occupancy bookings). Last time I was there was February 2013. Numerous ISG members have visited me there on the 9th floor, ate the food and had drinks there for free. A newbie to Santo Domingo (ISG member) arrived with me at the Barcelo Santo Domingo, his first time visiting the DR and Santo Domingo. He had two women he met online come with us to the Barcelo Santo Domingo Hotel (he was staying in a different hotel), I left him inside my room with one of the online women he invited (with my laptop and other stuff out in the room, I had just met the guy, but trusted him). I played host with the other woman sitting on the lounge chairs near the jacuzzi on the ninth floor, the guy got a bareback BJ in my room and he was happy (afterwards he went and bought a cigar in the lobby and smoked it there, at the Barcelo Santo Domingo Hotel lobby cigar store). He seemed happy, within 6 hours of arriving in Santo Domingo had a good BJ (the woman had huge natural titties), free drinks in the Club Premium lounge of the Barcelo Hotel and a free ride from the airport in my rental car (I also showed him where to buy a SIM card on El Conde at Claro for 150 pesos, appx. $4US.)

ISG members Sabor and Gagoo have had drinks for free, while visiting me on the 9th floor lounge of the Barcelo Santo Domingo Hotel.

If someone wants to go to Colombia or Timbuktu to monger, I don't care.

Did I mention, the Dominicanas were not embarrassed to be seen with us in Public locations and were friendly and affectionate in public.

GBP has prices of 1000 pesos ($25US) for one woman, 1500 pesos ($37.50US) for two women. I have not seen all the rooms at GBP, I don't know if any of them have beds with sheets. I have always gotten a free lap dance from various topless women at GBP. A person can walk to GBP from Gazcue or Zona Colonial (long walk), drive their rental car (always safe and easy parking near GBP, Mercedes Benz Car dealer next door). Or take a taxi, probably around 150-200 pesos, maybe less ($3.75US-$5US) each way. No real need to speak fluent Spanish (GBP's exact location has been posted numerous times with photos of the outside). Go in, choose a chica or two chicas, pay 1000 or 1500 pesos and go have fun. Afterward you can call your own taxi or just say taxi to someone there (seems only females work there, pros and the bartenders, only males I have seen there are the clients). Bartender or one of the women will call a taxi for you. Opens from around 1pm to 11pm, closed Sunday.

Pink House photos, taken around 1pm, visited with another ISG member.

GBP chica photos from Mundo Anuncio, hallway pic I took.

I like SD as much as Sosua but I do both. SD requires all my skills spanish and internet novias. Without those skills I would flop big time in SD. Finding spots is very hard even for me. I love taking a lady to the discos or casinos. It feels very normal. I have even gotten GFE for SWs. SD is big fun for me but it is a serious challenge for newbies. Most guys are lazy and do not take the timeto learn the language and culture. Mongering in the DR is my favorite hobby. I am suffering from withdrawal depression as write. No fighting guys we are on the same team. I know how you feel about Sosua Jao. As I grow it becomes less attractive to me. However I think I am extreme mongerer. I am into non pro and GFE for my chicas. This makes things way more complicated.

Being on the same team, well, who knows, different things motivate different people.

Some guys like blondes with blue eyes and would probably not be happy in most latin countries. Some guys like women with very dark skin and they love to Monger in some African countries like Kenya.

IMF and World Bank and various foreign countries have provided many millions of dollars to the DR, to say all that money has gone up in flames (corruption) would be a lie. In the almost ten years that I have been visiting Santo Domingo, I have seen various improvements there.

Santo Domingo is a good base location, lots of flights into SDQ, usually with the cheapest prices for the Island. East, West and North there are good 4 lane highways. You have available, women in santo domingo and the towns and cities East, West and North. At 4am, I have driven between Santiago and Santo Domingo in two hours, not driving overly fast.

The best thing of course is being able to have space between various GFs, so you get no surprised visits. With a car or by bus you can easily travel to various cities and towns from Santo Domingo.

This is the Santo Domingo thread not Colombia and Sousa.

Why do people continually compare? Why can't mongers just accept locations for what they are? Pathetic.

Thank you.

Seems the police in Cartagena, Colombia are doing a nice job shaking down some Mongers riding in taxis in Cartagena, Colombia. Driving a rental car throughout Colombia seems to be not recommended and some recent posts from Cartagena, Colombia seem to suggest that taking taxis in parts of Colombia may not be 100% trouble-free. Please correct me if anything I post about Colombia is not Correct. Thanks again.Weren't you the one that vowed never to return to SD at some point due to the cops shaking you down in your rental car at night?

I just do not understand your need to compare SD to other places. If SD is as great as you make it out to be it should be obvious without this constant need to put down other places.

I just do not understand your need to compare SD to other places. If SD is as great as you make it out to be it should be obvious without this constant need to put down other places.Where do I put down other places? Mr GoGo recently has hurled numerous insults at me, as have others. I don't see you admonishing them for writing insults. Mr GoGo's "review" is mostly an inaccurate insult of Santo Domingo. I have never seen you admonish other Senior ISG Members when they viciously and inaccurately insult all Dominicans.

Thank you, I feel very honored and very special that you have this special need to chime in after one of my posts. I can not remember ever reading a trip report (good or bad) with photos, submitted by you regarding Santo Domingo. Revere asked for comments comparing DR to Colombia. You and Mr Gogo don't seem to read all the recent posts.

You were the guy who rudely tried to correct me on the Sosua thread when I never said Marco owned Rockys. You are also the guy who said that La Sirena is a few blocks from El Conde and Calle Duarte, when in fact it is probably over 8 blocks away one way, part of the way uphill. Mr Gogo posted in his "review" that if you take a side street off El Conde at night "your ass is grass". I suggested people use the supermarket on El Conde and Calle Duarte, you chimed saying La Sirena was a few blocks away from that location up the side street Calle Duarte. I have walked the side streets in Zona Colonial day and night and never had a problem. I have walked from Onnos Bar at 3am back to a hotel in Gazcue and I saw practically no one (no menacing thugs or anything similar), just the dogs who live in the cemetery who barked loudly at me. Earlier that day I had brought them cans of Alpo from the Supermarket Jumbo Express (El Conde and Calle Duarte), where at the checkout line there was one person in front of me and the wait to pay the cashier was under a minute. I bought the Alpo dog food for a dog I saw with puppies, (I saw that dog with puppies as I walked by the Cemetery on Avenida Independencia in the daytime), on the way to Zona Colonial. When I got back to the Cemetery with the dog food, I couldn't find that dog and her puppies, I gave the cans of food to a caretaker there and he fed the other dogs who lived there. I met a 30 year old Dominicana in the cemetery who helped me look for the dog with the puppies and she gave me her cell phone number. A Colombiana from Medellin at the Hard Rock Cafe on El Conde, gave me plastic dishes and a shopping bag to carry then, when I ask at the Hard Rock if they had something I could use as plates to feed the dog. Sweet personality on that woman from Medellin, Colombia, she lives in Santo Domingo with her husband.

Please show the post where I said I would never return to Santo Domingo with the Date. You and another Senior ISG member rudely posted that my info regarding Sosua was not to up the minute (even when I prefaced my comments by saying I had not been in Sosua in years).

Have I been pissed off in the Dominican Republic and vowed not to return, sure. But I adjusted my game, I looked at other monger destinations and decided the DR was the best place for me.

Maybe if you would post trip reports with photos, I could "learn" something from you.

I have chatted with at least one guy in his twenties maybe early thirties who might be described as a hustler, on El Conde. He told me at the beginning of our conversation that he served time in jail in the US (his young age, seems to make me believe he was not in for murder but probably drug related). I do believe in the power of redemption, we chatted, I bought him a cup of coffee and he gave me some good p4p intel.

I'm paraphrasing: Wanda Sykes was talking about criminals in the hood, they can rob your purse but the criminals on wall street can rob your future.Ah. That is rather apt. I for one never know how junk mortgages with no chance of repayment can be offloaded on to the market with AAA rating thanks to the wink and nod of the likes of Credit rating wizards and everybody on a commission off the deal but we digress.

On the other hand, we are back with the pissing contest as to which city is better. I thought we all are grown ups here (if not partly senile and old) and can make our own calls. Most people here do not know how to read, find TV to be the entertainment of the century so what is the point peddling one viewpoint rather than the other. Let all of us burn their fingers on the fire and figure it out for themselves as there are few sages who learn from others' experiences. If we did, history would not be replete with such misery.

Would you happen to have the address for this place? I am going on my first trip to DR in May.

ThanksGBP. Some of the rooms have workout equipment. 1000 pesos for one, 1500 pesos for two women. Some women might privately or discreetly give you their cell numbers for after work encounters.

Avenida 27 de Febrero is about an 8 lane road where GBP is located, google maps: http://maps.google.com/maps. GBP is on Ave. 27 de Febrero, between Avenida Lincoln and Avenida Tiradentes (Tiradentes is called Avenida Alma Mater south of 27 de Febrero). GBP is about in the middle of that block on the south side of 27 de Febrero (side closer to the Sea), east bound direction of traffic. (looking at the google map, on Ave. 27 de febrero where the traffic goes left to right and closer to the bottom of the page).

If you are driving your own car, there are a few different ways to go. If from zona colonial, take Calle 30 de Marzo to Avenida 27 de Febrero and make a left and go straight, at its intersection with Ave. Lincoln you can make a U-turn to the eastbound lanes on 27 de Febrero and go about half way down and on the right you will see arysmendy motors, mercedes benz car dealer and the building right after that car dealer will be where GBP is located. Parking in front of the building and on the side street for free. Another way to get there is to take Ave. Lincoln to Ave. 27 de Febrero, make a right from lincoln onto 27 de febrero (there is a large modern Supermercado Nacional on that corner), go a little more than half way down the long block on 27 de Febrero and you will see the mercedes dealer. On the north side of 27 de febrero, the opposite side of 27 de febrero to where GBP is located is a BMW Mini Car dealer.

At the corner of the building where GBP is located, you will see stairs, take those stairs to the second floor (a small section of ceiling hangs a bit low on the right side when walking up, so be careful of your head). The first door on the second floor will have a metal gate and a glass door, above the door will be GBP in 10 inch neon lights. If the gate downstairs is closed, ring the buzzer. Ring the buzzer outside the glass door on the second floor and a woman will come and open the door for you. Go and sit down near the bar, very small area, and various women will dance, most only with panties and will grind you, sit on your lap for quickie lap dance, for free. You can give them a few dollars tip or nothing. Choose your chica and away you go. You can ask to see the facilities before you do anything. Bring your own condoms. I don't know if any of the rooms have beds. The exterior skin of the building where GBP is located is unique with semi-globe and circular cutouts.

Any questions, post them here or send a PM to me or other members. Photos I took at GBP.

More of an annoyance sometimes rather than a threat to life and limb. If you have been slightly kind to some them, they might look out for you late at night, when stumbling home a little intoxicated. I have not had any problems with the street guys or shoe shine kids in santo domingo (be careful, not paranoid).

ISG member Chris Long seems to have used the services of a guy named Flavio who procured, according to Mr. Long, enjoyable women in Santo Domingo. Not all hustlers are worthless or bad.

As far as the rant about the casas, guys would complain if there were no whor_houses (especially on a sex site).

Having been the "defendent", I also must say that I find the idea of leaving my house in the metro Boston hard. Often times, the doors are shut without the locks and then I see these huge grates in front of doors and windows elsewhere. Not only they are uncouth but it reminds me of the constant concern about security in "third world".

Got to Santo Domingo with a woman from Bonao. She had booked hotel Plaza del sol, off Alma Mater / on a one way road called Jose contreras. I am sure the hotel would be a pain if you wanted to sneak in someone. They wanted copy of my passport as well and the entry is (or was) always locked. You have to buzz to let them come in.

The city was a vacant lot but Malecon was out of bounds for automobile traffic. After a good about of play in the hotel, we both were famished and wanted to go to Adrian Tropical only to discover to our dismay that the restaurant is closed. Thank goodness, Manolo's was open so we could find some food finally but that was pure chance. We had almost given up on finding anything open that day, including the McDs, in sheer desperation.

Stomach satisfied, we went back to the hotel. I have to say the sex is so much better when there are feelings but of course, it is also a two way street. Finally we had to run off. I had promised her that we would go for a movie and so off we went to the Acropolis Centre for the 7 PM show. The mall was desolately deserted. Fortunately, the theater was open so we watched " Broken City".

For dinner, not having any other options potentially open, we went to "Mitre". The place is swanky and as expected pricey. I wanted an angus burger but apparently they had run out of it. I settled for something else but wanted fries without the truffle oil. My companion had penne with porcino and fontina sauce probably also sprinkled with truffle oil. It was pretty good. Overall though, apart from the fancy presentation, I did not think much of the place, especially when the chocolate mousse was fairly stiff rather than be the right temperature to melt in your mouth right away.

The night was equally good as was the morning after. I am going to miss that woman. As much for gray matter as for physicality.

Next time I would give a wide berth to the semana santa.

Thanks for the report.

I have never been there during Semana Santa (Easter week). Hotel Plaza de Sol I have never seen.

Would you recommend Mitre? The city was DEAD essentially for Good Friday / Long weekend with people leaving the city. I thought I posted a separate report on Playa Palenque I visited on Saturday, I. E, the day after Good Friday which was over-crowded but I do not see it posted. May be I did not post after all.

Re Mitre, I am not going to go back. I looked at the Menu and asked the waiter if it was Italian owned. As the pasta choices were quite classy Italian and close to the real thing having tasted the left over from the woman who chose the pasta dish. The man said it was Italian-Domenican owned. Given that they did not have the Angus hamburger, I chose a steak and cheese (fontina) sandwich as a poor substitute, with the fries but I thought fries were too salty for my liking (and the steak dry) but then I am finicky about food and the pasta was good. I also did not like the fact that the chocolate mousse was way too frozen for my liking. A good mousse has to be at the right temp so it melts in you mouth quickly plus quality of dessert is a good indicator for a restaurant quality, for me.

Having said that, the woman I was with, liked the attention, the ambiance and the presentation so it might be okay to impress people and for a taste of good Italian food if one is into it. I liked the outdoor setting (they also have an indoor place but I was not keen about sitting inside on a lovely evening. Not sure if I would go and choose a steak there but again, my thoughts might be a gross over-generalization.

There are other Medical Clinics in the same area with slightly lower prices, some might be open 24/7. A walk in doctor visit at some clinics the price might start at 1000 pesos (about $25US). Numerous pharmacies in that area, with at least one open 24/7.

I've been in DR for over 4 years now, living more there than here for the last 3+. I grew up in Brooklyn, in the projects. I've been robbed as a teenager, I've been scammed in NYC by Times Square hustlers. All of these things have happened once and only once. I learn from my mistakes and always have my eyes open. My girl always warns me when I go to different neighborhoods, I've never been in any place more dangerous than were I grew up. Gangs, Crack, AIDS, and STD's where rampant, every Friday night and Saturday I was woken by gunshots.

I've never experienced anything close to that in DR. Not to say it's totally safe, but I've never had an issue. I've had guys try and tout their services, looking for tips for nothing, I don't use the shoe shine guys, I don't let the window washers wash my windows unless it's necessary. I've not had the pro girls try and rob me (I've had bad service) , I've not had problems with maids stealing my stuff. I travel all over the world and the most trouble I've had with people are in the states.

The crowd of my dominican friends are not money grubbers, they are all middle class to upper middle class people. In fact, when hanging out they usually pay. If someone was down there and wanted to see the real DR not what you see in the tourist areas, I would be willing to open my door for a visit. Thanks for sharing your personal stories!

Not sure if I would go and choose a steak there but again, my thoughts might be a gross over-generalization.Thanks. Supposedly there is also a cigar lounge / wine bar in Mitre, which could be a place to visit at night (not sure if you saw that part of the restaurant).

As the pasta choices were quite classy ItalianOne of the best meals that I have had was a pasta dish in Plaza España in zona colonial. I don't remember the name of the place (when facing the group of restaurants in plaza espana, that restaurant was one of the first to the right). Sat outside for the meal. The DR woman I was with is studying be a Dr. and a DR friend who was in the PN for over ten years. The woman ordered a pasta dish with a cream sauce, which I sampled, it was good. I was a little drunk and hungry that night before the meal. (An excellent piece of meat I had many years ago was on Continental or Delta, flying out of SDQ).

I have had good happy hour (2 x 1 price) Mojitos while sitting outside at Plaza de España, with another ISG member and two Dominicanas. Those Mojitos were good. http://www.gogobot.com/plaza-espana-santo-domingo-attraction

excerpts from a speech, beware the in crowd: "diversity makes us wiser, kinder, and higher-performing. by contrast, cookie-cutter cliques that think and act alike have proven time and again—to be less-than-bright, less-than-nice, and less-than-productive. at any age, it's natural to spend time with people with whom we find connections and common ground. that's fine and good and provides a source of fun and ease. but when common ground becomes a closed clique, it gives rise to a culture of exclusion. in crowds foster a culture of exclusion – and, in the best case, this limits thoughtful debate and positive action – and in the worst case, it leads to aggressive bullying and mob behavior.": http://www.boozallen.com/insights/insight-detail/beware-the-in-crowd-shrader-speech

Licey Tigers is a team based in Santo Domingo. From your posts you say they hire Colombians from an agency in Colombia to work and live in Santo Domingo. Seems Santo Domingo is not so dangerous for those Colombian "models" to live in.

You like to insult Dominicans too, viciously. So happy to see that those Colombianas make you so happy that you are such a shiny happy person on the ISG.

I love them. Some the ownership is better than others.

Beautiful women can be found in the casas. Prices vary.

One of the few venues I have not visited is Dollhouse, which supposedly has a cover charge and I was told has some international women with bolt on titties.

Foxys on the Malecon might charge a cover of around 100 pesos. Casa Theresa for amazon size attractive women.

I haven't been in a Santo Domingo casa in over a year. All are free to enter. Beer price usually around 150-200 pesos. Bottle of water around 100 pesos. Specialty drinks for the women are usually around 400-500 pesos. Cuba libre for a pro in a casa, I don't know what the price would be (you can buy a pro a bottle of beer if you like her). Know where your money is, I have never heard of anyone getting pick-pocketed in a casa, best to be careful.

Some casas the women may mob you, feel you, grind you, to get your attention and get you to choose them.

If I was a newbie visiting Santo Domingo, I would walk into every venue, at least just to see what is going on.

I agree the casas in Santo Domingo are safe and there are some needles in the haystack that are precious newbies but I disagree that the women are beautiful in comparison to what can be found in santo domingo and the countryside. I basically only have sex with models and from time to time I will score with a more professional working girl, as long she is new to the biz. I am from canada and have been in the Dominicn Republic for about 22 years. I have mongered in every major city in the DR. And find some of the reviewers here excellent and enjoy this site immensely.

However, no one and I mean, no one gets the quality of women that I do. Period. LOL and I can guarentee that- Any bets?

Cheers from your new amigo,

Jon Jon.

All empty that night which made it easy for us to cross and go in to the restaurant. I did not check street parking.

Then again, I am not worried about money on my vacation; especially at 3500DOP max for what I like. Also, there is no such thing as a Semi-Pro in Sosua. They are all Putas. In SD you actually will meet Ladies who's occupation requires them to be vertical.

Rio is just to expensive for me. The flight is twice as much as is everything else. As non rich monger cost is always a concern. Along with numbers Sosua is very economical. As for semi pros I disagree. There many young ladies who come from the DRs other cites to make some quick cash. They are easy to find if you take a little time. I think your statement is not correct. True if you are there for week you will see many of the same women or course. I my trips back I always see many new ladies. Actually more then I can handle. I have been to SD many times and have yet to pick up a chica who was a non pro. Possibly I had one semi pro. Let me say I am a very out going and friendly person. Of course when you are 50 plus young chicas do ot flock to you quite s much. I am sure your Brad Pitt allows you to have women donating their pussy for free.

It seems a couple of months ago people were saying the same thing to you about Rio what you are trying to tell him about Sosua.

Jesus! That restaurant is at an intersection of some Ave (Abe Lincoln?). And another road. I came from Ave side, made an U-turn after seeing and passing by the restaurant and parked on the other side which had a bunch of stores and parking. All empty that night which made it easy for us to cross and go in to the restaurant. I did not check street parking.Thanks.

When driving a rental car in the DR, when you go to park at some places, there are sometimes guys there who will help you park and watch your car. 25 peso tip should be sufficient (about 60¢ cents US). Always good to keep any loose change you may receive in the car. A US one dollar bill can also be used for this purpose.

Old part of Santiago has parking meters. I have not seen parking meters in Santo Domingo. There are secure parking garages in zona colonial and attached to the various malls throughout Santo Domingo. When you drive into some parking lots in Santo Domingo and Santiago a worker will give you a card. You return that card when you exit the lot (as a way to deter thieves, without the card they will not allow you to exit immediately).

Santo Domingo to the airport, there is a 30 peso toll (only one way eastbound). When coming into the city from SDQ airport there is no toll. Santo Domingo to Santiago there is one toll in the northern part of the city, 30 pesos. There are workers at the toll plazas who will give change, try to have at least some low denomination paper money (100 peso bills). EZ Pass exists in the DR but I have never used it and the wait at the toll plazas is usually no cars or a few cars ahead of you.

Hi I am Jon Jon I am new to the forumn. Hello everyone!

Jon Jon.

Looked for automated parking with the parking ticket in the lobby and was told that one pays to the cashier while exiting. No issues.

2. Because of the Holidays, there were no toll payment requirements, STI-SDQ-STI or SDQ-Bani. The military was there to wave the guys through, who like me were slowing down, trying to figure out who to pay at the empty booth. LOL.

3. I have not had too many issues with self-appointed and unsolicited parking help. I would pay at times with coins and sometimes, with candies. Usually I carry those when I travel. I learned that from a veteran German business associate from Hamburg traveling to Indonesia. I also use the candies when I find someone interesting to speak to while driving or in the mall or someone who has helped. Works always. Well almost always.

4. I noticed the card thing while parking at La Sirena in SDQ heading towards San Cristobal. You have to pick up one on your way in and surrender it on the way out. Interestingly, I never saw that in STI or Bonao, Moca or POP. Most likely, it has a correlation with crime rate at a certain location. One thing I like about la sirena is that they have free wifi and it works well for browsing while eating at the food court.

Hi I am Jon Jon .The number 1 monger and source to the most beautiful women in the DRThat sounds good to me. Jon Jon: how can you help us find great looking women who are willing to fuck us blind in the DR? I have no geographic preference if the girls are hot, and its not a lot of effort to get them into bed.

Keep in mind that its really not a huge amount of effort to find good to great looking girls in the DR (although some locations are easier than others to score a real beauty, as can be inferred by the Sosua vs Sto Domingo debate).

No disrespect but you need to se what you are missing. You are like a guy who has a hamburger and says I do not think I will eat steak. Sosua is Monger nirvana. Everything you want in walking distance and yes variety. I understand SD love it but if I am on a short vacation Sosua is a no brainer I say this as a vet. For a newbie it is a no brainer. Try spending 5 days in

SD not being a Spanish speaker. Do yourself a favor and go to Sosua. You will be equipped to have an opinion.I'm not fluent but I can hold a conversation. At this point, I have no need for Sosua. In my 3 trips to SD, I have yet to come home and say damn I should have went to Sosua. There are other places I want to visit on the island.

Possibly in the next month or so, I would like to rent a small car at PAP (port au prince airport) with Hertz or Avis and drive to Jacmel, Haiti (other side of the mountain from the capital of Haiti). Highway over the mountain is supposedly good; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYBM23wlp2s. Seaside Avenue in Port-au-Prince could be called Harry Truman Boulevard. Jacmel, 51 miles from the capital http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13Ee6jeKdN8. I'll now more next week, if I'll be able to do the short trip of few days in Haiti.

Anyone interested in riding shotgun in Haiti let me know. I may stay at the Hotel Florita.

Ok, just a little progress report on my quest for the non-pros / semi-pros, in anticipation of my trip to SD.

I've decided to put on my big boy pants and put myself through mongering school.

I paid to enroll in the online course. Cupid dot com.

10 days in, this class is harder than I thought. The only thing I've learned so far is, my Spanish is getting marginally better.

I'll share some observations: newbies can take heed; vets please critique and advise.

(I've gone into the class very mindful of what you guys have discussed before: chicas' tricks, RFM, etc.)

So far, I've gotten:

213 women said they're interested in me. But only 25% of them are doable. The rest of them are fat and ugly.

60 said I'm their favorite. Less than half are doable.

That gives me a pool of about 70 to 80 doable and workable chicas.

About half of that I've gotten replies after sending them messages.

So, I thought okay, I have 35 eager & doable chicas to choose from. Not bad, right? (I'm not judging what motivates them to be eager. Could be purely "I need some money so let me hit this guy up" or, the remote possibility that they find me attractive. I'll take whatever. Just give me something to work with!)

Now, even those who said they're interested in me, or even said I'm their favorite and wrote back, are very unenthusiastic. I tried to be charming, funny, give compliments, ask "pre-closing" questions. But most of them only give one or two word replies! And these are women who approached me first. I'm rather puzzled by this.

Out of the "better", or at least more involved, exchanges I had:

One 23 year-old who is definitely a pro;

One 30 year-old smoking hot MILF who is probably a three-quarter (greater than a semi) pro;

One 25 year-old attractive mother of two who's been writing me a lot, but never really interested in me as a person; only always complains about how hard life is as a single mother, how she wishes her situation is better. While she hasn't come out right and RFM, I think she's just winding up for the eventual left hook;

One 20 year-old no child cutie who I've been texting via whatsapp since yesterday.

(I remember one of you vets advised off-site chatting with the chicas, and that was a good recommendation. Most women get on cupid dot com from their smartphones, I believe, and there is no chat function on their mobile site.)

By chatting with this chica on whatsapp, I was really able to work my game. I thought I was funny, charming, etc. She said she's a college student and she does seem like a fun loving young girl who's not too wild. That was yesterday.

Today. She said she's depressed. I asked why?

Girl: "I don't have money to pay for my class, I may have to stop going but college is very important to me."

Me: (thinking what is this? Isn't the semester paid-in-full up front?)"Oh no I'm so sorry to hear. Can't our family help?"

Girl: "My family can't. They don't have work. I don't want to sell my phone to pay for school. My phone is the only way I can keep in touch with you."

Me: (DAMN! YOU GUYS HAVE QUOTED THIS WORD FOR WORD BEFORE!)"Mi amor, I have to go, my friends are waiting for me at the bar. I'll talk to you later, ok?"

Of course I didn't have no bar to go to, my ass is still at home this whole time. Meanwhile, she has texted me 3 more times.

What do you guys think? Cut her off now? Or con her back. Give her the false hope that she's getting dinero, hold her off till I get some of that fine mulata tail and then donate a few pesos for the cause?

Well, to summarize, I find this more difficult than anticipated. I have new respect for you senior mongers who can pull non-pros like this and get major GFE on your SD trips.

I'll still keep trying. The worst thing that can happen is improving my Spanish.

Stopped over in Santo Domingo recently. A couple of observations / questions:

* I could not find the tourist card machine several ISG members have mentioned. When I approached the counter to pay for the $10 tourist card there was no machine to be found. Only the counter to pay and the exchange business next to it. Did they remove it?

*Because I was in a hurry I exchanged money at the exchange place next to the counter where you pay for the tourist card. The exchanged rate seemed horrible though I didn't know what it should have actually been. Anyone have experience changing money at this place?

*I used what I think is Mr. E post about how to add internet service to your phone. I had purchased a SIM card from a guy on the street a few weeks back but when I tried to add the internet service to my Android phone it said the service was not avaliable. Did Claro change something? Do I need to go to a store now?

*I need to be able to use the Internet on my own PC when I am there. Is there an aircard or something of the sort I can buy?

*Boca Chica is a horrible place. Stay away. It is flat out dangerous even in the daytime. Even the resturants on the beach try to rip you off. Had a 2k pesos meal and they brought a bill back of 4500k. Girl I was with argued with them for 20 minutes to change it after they tried to say it was correct when it was clear they were ripping us off.

*Is there no way to get around the incredibly expensive rental cars at the airport. Is it cheaper to pay for it through Kayak or Orbitz? Can you add the extra insurance that way?

Showdown.

Showdown. ShowdownWestern Union on the second floor of the SDQ airport, you should be able to change money there, also a few banks at the airport. Near the baggage carousel (probably after going through customs) there was a bank with a posted exchange rate that was normal (currently the rate is around 41 pesos for one US Dollar). Exchange booth next to tourist card booth, always has bad exchange rates. There are numerous ATM machines at SDQ airport, you can use them to get pesos with a debit or credit card, for me with Chase Bank there is about an $8 fee per use of the ATM in the DR. If you will be doing multiple trips to the DR, save some pesos and bring them back them to the US (or whatever country you may live in) with you and use them on a future trip, to at least get you to your location. Most taxis will take Dollar bills and Euros. Many businesses in the DR also print the bill in Dollars and Euros, so you can pay using pesos, dollars or Euros.

On the second floor of the SDQ airport is a claro store, friendly chicas work there and they also have a call center there, where you can make international calls at a decent per minute rate. SIM card costs now around 160 pesos at Claro, about $4US, or if you pay with dollars $5US. I have not yet used data with claro in the DR. I will try to find out more on my next trip. Some unlocked smart phones can work as a wifi hotspot, so theoretically if you have data with claro on an unlocked smart phone that has wifi hotspot capability, you should be able to connect your laptop to the internet through that smartphone's data connection. Claro and Orange also sell USB dongles that will connect your laptop to their data service in the DR. ZTE wifi hotspot device supposedly can work on any GSM network (Claro and Orange are GSM) you would need a SIM card from Claro or Orange; http://www.amazon.com/Unlocked-ZTE-MF60-GSM-Wireless/dp/B005IDLYK4.

ATT and Verizon probably have data coverage in the DR. Jetpack for verizon has a prepaid, I believe monthly plan. ATT also has a prepaid Data plan for their mobile hotspot devices. With these devices supposedly you can connect up to 5 other devices to the internet. I don't have experience with these things yet.

Wind Telecom presents 4G LTE, January 24, 2013: http://portal.bufeo.com/search/galleries/3552/.

I use Alamo/National at SDQ's airport, just about always get the Nissan Tilda (usually with less than 10k miles on the odometer, occasionally new vehicles with less than a few thousand miles). 10% off with Alamo in the Caribbean: https://www.alamo.com/en_US/car-rental/deals/deals-details/international/ACARW10-10percent-off-caribbean.html. Nice people at the Alamo Corporate Office in St. Louis, Missouri. Rate with glass/tire insurance and 3rd party liability insurance (mandatory if you decline the $20 per day collision/loss insurance), total rate per day with unlimited miles around $35-$40. Chevy Aveo I would not rent that again. Chevrolet Spark is a good little car. Nissan Tilda has some get up and go, which can be useful when you want to pass on two lane roads. A/C and CD players in all the cars. If you will have a long rental, bring Windex or other types of wipes to clean the inside glass on the windshield (cleaning the wiper blades sometimes improves their performance).

You can buy the tourist card online or available for purchase in other locations in foreign countries.

And sometimes some of the old hardened fish migrate from the pond to the Ocean. Overall though usually more variety in the Ocean and slightly more dangerous (although you can drown in both places).

Having said that, Sosua is a small place and to me was nice the first trip, in that everything was within a walkable distance. Santo Domingo on the other hand is way way extended, with typical big city problem of traffic and parking so it reminds me not of a beach vacation place.

I have no interest in taking part in the usual and useless north vs south debate but one reason I stick to Santiago, is because to me, it is a balance between the north and south option but I do not want to be the Mayor of Santiago either. I could very well move to Montecristi or Nagua for that matter if Santiago gets crowded LOL.

Anyways, If you believe you have to look like Brad Pitt to attract a woman anywhere in the Dominican Republic your game must be really poor or spending to much time in Sosua and money in general.Looks have nothing to do with it. Brad Pitt without money and fame is just another dude.

Very sensible thoughts (I like your VERTICAL JOB DESCRIPTION). Indeed if I were even a hardened pro, I would be miffed (if not offended) by the opening line of "cuanto". Having said that, Sosua is a small place and to me was nice the first trip, in that everything was within a walkable distance. Santo Domingo on the other hand is way way extended, with typical big city problem of traffic and parking so it reminds me not of a beach vacation place.

I loved Santiago and the small places up north. IMO; Sosua is a Noob starting point, Wham Bam or Bachelor party destination. In fact, its the more expenses of most places save for Santo Domingo Casas. Santo Domingo appeals to me because I enjoy exploring. Lots of places and small societies/hoods with interesting people grinding it out to make a living. Its fun to meet, go to cook outs and enjoy the people instead of looking for snapper every minute of the day. However, when I/m looking for good fish I have more options than I can think of.

Best thing I did was put a Claro sim in my old Iphone and kept all the numbers of every woman I have ever had relations. I called and kept in touch with the high rated ones and even some I did not like. Its turned into some pretty nice hook ups and introductions. And yes, Western Union requests. Just in American Strip Club Game, if you can open a crease, you can get into the other side of the person and connect with her circle. Getting in that circle makes you safe for her and her friend to confide, assist and even promote. However, we have some that do not know how to work it so they find themselves alone in a city of greater than a million single young women.

To Each his own. I find value in both spots but at this point I believe I have outgrown Sosua

Cool Dude with a personality.Isn't Brad Pitt a fairly old (well older) man by now? I mean I saw him first in 1994 in a movie called Legend of the Fall, with Anthony Hopkins. That was almost 20 years back. Personally, I would root for George Clooney, any given day, for his looks but more because of his brains.

Ok, just a little progress report on my quest for the non-pros / semi-pros, in anticipation of my trip to SD.

The worst thing that can happen is improving my Spanish.Jee, I laughed hard at your use of irony. Lovely writing style. In the beginning, when I was building up my "harem", I was more sympathetic to the sob stories but with time, I have become more adept at identifying the problem ones. And unless they have something special, I have less trouble in weeding them out. Having said that, I am not saying I get freebies. As they say in Econ 101, no free lunch. Brad Pitt or not.

I'll still keep trying. The worst thing that can happen is improving my Spanish.Once they start dropping hints about money, then it becomes a business proposition (nothing wrong with that, a meeting of the minds regarding price and services, done sometimes in a round-about way). P4P. If they are hardcore and a bit rude in their demeanor, then you are within your rights to say f_ck off, some of the nasty rude ones sometimes straighten up and become a bit nicer when you tell them you are not going to put up with a rude, nasty attitude. If they don't straighten up, good riddance, you don't need that type in your rotation.

I met a long term amiga on dominican cupid years ago, I haven't been on that site since. Tagged and Badoo are free to use. Whatsapp is great. Sending a $5 recharge for a women's claro, orange, viva or tricom prepaid account might pay dividends. You can use aryty or ezetop or others.

Well, seems like you would be ONE guide for me in Santo Domingo. Exploring various communities is what I enjoy much and then there is always that possibility that at times you can get lucky.

3. I do the same, each trip renewing ties with the better ones and culling some that did not pan out with time. I am aware of the "friend of the friend" route. You are right about working the circle as it promotes confidence and safety. Indeed, I have known three sisters and a cousin (the cousin this trip brought me cooked goat-meat and rice and we enjoyed it together). And then there is a girl and her tia and so forth. But as long as you keep each one in a water tight compartment, jealousy can be a issue, it has worked for me so far.

Once you have filled your phone with winners Sosua is not needed. However this something most guys can not do. You need time in country and some decent spanish. I like you am a serious DR lover. Women, food and dancing I am down. Guys who are not as serious need Sosua, BB and FOD. This is a different experience that we seek. I stayed in the home of cupid chica for four days. It was a great experience. I will never bad mouth Sosua because it serves a purpose very well. Yes it can be out grown but lord it is nice fall back.

It did not work with the GDP in Rio as they are too far to get back to and keep up with. DR works better as Dominicans love to talk and run game. I walk into 305 or Girls House it starts to get a little sticky but its fun to have a fall back plan for morning and pre-noon.

One 23 year-old who is definitely a pro;

One 30 year-old smoking hot MILF who is probably a three-quarter (greater than a semi) pro;

One 25 year-old attractive mother of two who's been writing me a lot, but never really interested in me as a person; only always complains about how hard life is as a single mother, how she wishes her situation is better. While she hasn't come out right and RFM, I think she's just winding up for the eventual left hook;

You took the time to post this yesterday and no one replied, let me give it a shot. You invested a lot of time in these online chicas so I guess you are taking this first SD trip serious. They are sizing you up while you are dong the same. They want to see if you will make an investment pre-trip before they lock in. Dominicanas are very good at playing games with gringos, but they always have plan be, see, and the. As your trip dates approach you will see some who have held out being more open minded.

If its one that you have a good vibe with, some would say make a SMAll deposit. Its like a good faith offering, but do it with a flip. Say its for her Mother or the kids. I used to be generous when I first started in this game before I got seasoned. My thinking then was that 50usd wasnt shit. I had a girl here in the states that every month I would pay her 50usd metro phone bill and she would give me pussy twice a week, or about 6 dollars a fuck. Guys here are going to kill me for saying this but if its something I really want then I will make the initial investment (drinks, movies, gifts).

Now that I'm seasoned I'm not as loose with my generosity, but I have also noticed that I don't have as many women begging for my company as before. I'm cool with this because I don't have the drama of juggling chicas. Plus I'm still in "advanced learing mode". I'm planning on moving to SD in two years so I'm doing my scouting of the city and the culture. My fuck rate has declined as I search for more non-sexual experiences. My goal is to jog the Malecon every morning and live there. I want ONE main girl and the other "quick hits' will be at the cabana. I want to cut meat out of my diet and eat more natural. I want to go to the pro Basketball games and Spanish school to improve my ghetto Spanish.

With this said; its a growth process my friend that will take many trips over several years. So if I were you I would visit the casas and get numbers to arrange before work sex, pick up a few street walkers and have your side projects of girls that you really like that have GFE potential.

I'll still keep trying. The worst thing that can happen is improving my Spanish. My full time live in is in school. I pay monthly for the university. O & M. Around 1, 500 pesos a month. I don't know what school this one goes to, but if you find out, I can get you the monthly pricing, I know a lot of college girls.

When are you going? If it's soon, you can play dumb and tell her you've never sent money before and don't know how to do it. She will explain it to you. Let her know you will try and look for a WU in the morning, the next day tell her the nearest one is very far, and so on. Until you're down there and then realize it is pay for play.

Talk them up and never send money.

Another test to see if she's a good girl or not, when going out ask her about Cabanas, letting her know you read about them and you're interested. Ask her what her favorite one is and if she has a suggestion, BAM! Semi-pro to Pro.

Don't get played, player.

A girl I'm talking to started to go to the need money place, while chatting. To her, I just lost my job, my car broke down, my mother needs an operation, etc. 2 can play the game.

In the end you pay with Dr chicas pro or non pro. Some guys are legions in their own mines. I have had non pros but they wanted gifts and I paid all expenses and was happy to do it. Non pro pussy is the shit. Stop worrying that she wants shit give when you want to and say no when don't some time it is worth few bucks to hook a winner. You are always in charge of your money.

Mid May, mid week, rate is $108 for two people in the room, Superior room with club premium access. One person rate is $103US, worth it to pay the extra $5, so nothing can be said when you bring in a guest. Orbitz use promo code TRAVEL5 (5% discount). Seems Expedia, Hotels.com, travelocity had rates around $130 or more for the same room.

Don't get played, player.A girl from Santiago that was my "girlfriend" called me crying that her father had an moto accident and that he is the hospital, she was desperate, she asked $500 for hospital expenses. I told her to calm down that her father is going to recover well and that I am going to pay not only $500 but all expenses during his stay in the hospital plus medicines and therapies. She suddenly became happy and thankful. Then I asked her for his name and hospital's name to send payments directly to the hospital. She requested me to send the money directly to her. I told her I do not want her to carry that amount of money in a dangerous city but do not worry baby all his expenses are going to be covered by me. She insisted for about 15 minutes and finally ended the call. She never gave me her dad's name or hospital to send the money, I called a couple of times to ask for the information to pay his hospital bill, LOL.

A girl asked for 3, 000 pesos for college tuition that was due and she was very concerned about losing her semester. I asked where she studied. She told me and I entertained her while looking online for college info. I got the Dean's name on the website and told her: I am going to help you. Happy face on msn. I know the Dean, Dr. Whatever, I am going to talk to him to help with your tuition was my response. I am not stupid was her answer."Yo tampoco (neither I am) was my answer.

I tell new chicas Western Union left Puerto Rico (where I live) because economic crisis so I can't send money and the block online money transfers from Puerto Rico. But I can help you when I visit the country, LOL.I've felt bad 2 times in regards to not sending money. When I first started going to DR, I had hooked up with a waitress and she was a pretty girl but not the prettiest. She worked at the hotel where I was staying (this is more than 4 years ago). Anyway, she would "visit" me in my room during her shift and we would go out a bit afterwards. While we were together for about a week while I was in the hotel, she asked me for $100, this was after 5 days. I figured it was a bargain. While I was in the states she hits me up to send her taxi money right away because she had to take her kid to the hospital (she did not ask for the hospital money, turns out it was a free hospital). I had never sent money before. I told her I don't know how to do this but I have a friend who could do me a favor and drive her and the kid and come back and pick them up later. I used to use a guy for taxi services. Anyway she accepted and my friend did me the favor (cost me 1, 500 pesos on my return). She was grateful and all when I came back, took care of me real nice, again only asked for $100 for the entire stay. I leave again, about 2 weeks later I get a request for money, as she has lost her job (tells me this crazy story about a fight and she got hurt, etc.) and needs money to buy food for her kid. She did not ask for much, but my jaded monger mind says no, she'll have to wait until I get back. Anyway, I get back to SD and it turns out that her story was true and she had gotten into a fight with a female customer and it was a big deal, cuts, blood, a lot of broken stuff. She refused to take my calls while I was down there and I usually don't try to hard to mend fences. I lost a real good and real cheap fuck over $100.

#2, Drugstore cashier, hot and sexy as hell. Hooked up with her, while buying condoms and viagra at her store. First night, I pick her up after work. 12M. Go to Adrian Tropicals on 27th, then take her to her house as she has to get ready for her shift tomorrow. We use the condoms and viagra I bought. I leave her, no request for money. (Leaving her barrio took me forever, I'll save that for another story). Have some fun with her for a few days, she asked me for a 450 peso pocketbook and a book and that was it. I leave, we keep in touch. One day, I call her and while talking to her, she tells me she has to go and for me to call her back. When I do, she tells me the store was robbed they took everything went into great detail (sounds crazy) , a few days later she calls me looking for $50 dollars, I refuse, we stop talking. Again, I get down there and the pharmacy is closed (it was 24 hours). I asked people who live nearby what happened and was told that criminals ran a car through the front door, robbed everyone in the store, took the owners lexus jeep and took off. Again, I felt bad. (however about a year later I ran into her in a disco and wind up having a foursome with her and the 2 pay for play chicas I was with)

Sometimes being hard with them is not the best answer, but it always protects you.

[QUOTE=Cagep1967; 1407956]Another test to see if she's a good girl or not, when going out ask her about Cabanas, letting her know you read about them and you're interested. Ask her what her favorite one is and if she has a suggestion, BAM! Semi-pro to Pro.

I don't really know if a girl has cabana knowledge or a favourite one that this makes her a semi pro to pro. In the D. R. It is very common especially when the girl has a poor background that 2 to 3 generations live under the same roof. It is also common that instead of real doors the rooms in the house are only seperated by curtains which sometimes give the girls zero privacy. I have had my fair share of girls who prefer cabanas over having sex in their house as there are always people around neighbours are coming and going while they are having sex.

Sydney the other chica lived in a house with a rec room in the basement, with a sofa bed.

The curtains in some houses in lieu of doors, seen it in DR. I've gotten a few BJs in homes in the DR.

If a women is not shy about knowing about cabanas and not shy about recommending her favorite usually means NSTTP. (no stranger to the penis).

If its one that you have a good vibe with, some would say make a SMAll deposit. Its like a good faith offering, but do it with a flip. Say its for her Mother or the kids. I used to be generous when I first started in this game before I got seasoned.

Guys here are going to kill me for saying this but if its something I really want then I will make the initial investment (drinks, movies, gifts).

With this said; its a growth process my friend that will take many trips over several years. So if I were you I would visit the casas and get numbers to arrange before work sex, pick up a few street walkers and have your side projects of girls that you really like that have GFE potential.Gogo, very sensible thoughts and I for one, would not kill you for that. Fact is, my first trip, I had gone to Sosua and so I had the "paid" back up plan plus a few I had met online who came to visit me and I had brought gifts for all plus a cash donation after I saw them. I continue to use the same method but there is nothing wrong with making an "initial' deposit. Especially if one is interested in a particular person.as long as you are willing to write it off as well knowing it may or may not work. As Don Corelone said,"make an offer they cannot refuse". It normally works.

When you get a winner it may cost a little to keep them. It is your call but for me it is a good investment to keep a winner in the loop. If the demand is uneasonable it is a clear no. However if you are getting what you need from the relation pony up. If you have US girl do the math. The pay back is often excellent. I have genuine affection with many of my chicas and it can be mutual. Sure they like the perks as do we but with time we grwo fond of one another, Having sex with someone who not sucking other guys dicks everyday is a premiun. DDTY and DFK with pros NOT. As we all say to each his on. Some guysd only want non pros others live in the casas and are happy. My taste have evolved and I can be satisfied doing both but getting GFE is priceless.

They are also for discrete encounters and Cheating. Asking a Dominican about cabanas is not a good filter for Pro v Non-Pro. Many Dominicans grow up using them as stated above for privacy for BF's in multiple levels from HS, University and professional especially the more affluent.

There also is the neighborhood squawk box / rumer mill concerning the ins and out of these establishments; therefore, lots of people know who goes in and out and various locations. She might not have used them but she dayum sure knows what part of town they are at and how they work.

One 23 year-old who is definitely a pro;

One 30 year-old smoking hot MILF who is probably a three-quarter (greater than a semi) pro;

One 25 year-old attractive mother of two who's been writing me a lot, but never really interested in me as a person; only always complains about how hard life is as a single mother, how she wishes her situation is better. While she hasn't come out right and RFM, I think she's just winding up for the eventual left hook;

The worst thing that can happen is improving my Spanish.Welcome to the infamous Dominican game of sex poker. She wants money before sex, you want sex before money. Fortunately, the monger has better cards. My recommendation:

You: I'm afraid to send money through Western Union because there's lots of stories of people using it to steal identity. I could lose thousands of $. Do you have Paypal? It's much safer.

She: No, I don't have Paypal (need an international credit card. If she could get that she wouldn't be a semi-pro).

You: Really, no Paypal. I can't believe it. I'll try to help you out ("try to help you out" = no commitment on amount) when I get there if everything's going well ("if everything's going well" = if the sex is good). I really want to see you.

I have had very good results with my cupid chicas. All have put out on the 1st night and all have been great in the sack. If you talk with online so when you meet you feel you know them and panties come off. You are king of the kingdom so do not worry about any games. I usually meet them in a city they do not live in. This gives you more control. I will send what they need for the bus. They are thrilled to be on vacation. I use Skype to have conversation and to see them. Pro non or semi they will work to make you their man. You will absolutely love the treatment. It is their interest to make love them. I had one who bought new lingerie for our first night. It was like a honeymoon. I enjoyed the interplay online. Some guys do not enjoy or have the time to cultivate relationships. I pesonaly enjoy the work.

Hello everyone! I am a newbie to the ISG and to the forum of Dominican Republic and I need help and information if you please! I have been to many places including Rio De Janerio (Where I think the MOST beautiful and the MOST highly skilled sex workers are) , and other countries like San Jose, Costa Rica, where there are some very pretty "ticas."

I will be traveling to D. R. Soon and I keep hearing conflicting information on DR and especially Santo Domingo where I will be staying. I am a single man and I look like Shamar Moore, so I am hoping to blend in so I won't be accosted by the locals (if that is possible). I need help in the following.

1. I am staying at the Jaraqua on the malecon, but I keep hearing that you should stay in el conde. Is this true? Which is safer? I want to be comfortable with my room and hotel services.

2. I hear that you cannot walk anywhere at night and that staying on the malecon is constant in the fact of beggars, thugs and thieves and that you also cannot walk to the clubs in el conde. Is that true?

3. I was informed that the food isn't very good and that you should also not drink the water OR drinks with ice. Any comments?

4. I was informed that Boca Chica is Soooo Dangerous that you shouldn't even consider it for a day trip.

5. They state that the best place for P4P is Gimnasio Bar Privado, however, I heard the Case De Modelos was better. Which is it?

6. I need to get a SIM card with internet, who has the lowest prices and do you need I'd to get it?

7. I would like to meet NON pros. Where is the best way and place to meet them.

8. Is it easy to talk to the local women, and if so, what do they like about Americans?

Thank you my Friends. No, all of these (1-5) are untrue. Don't drink the tap water, though, just bottled drinking water or ice in bars.

Yes, you need I'd (passport) for a SIM card, but the prices are about the same at all vendors.

To meet non pros, just try to avoid women who work in casas de cita, massage parlors, and any restaurant or bar that serves tourists. Try one of the hospitals, they mostly have snack bars and you can get in the line for lab tests and find many women. There are many female employees, receptionists, clerks, etc.

It is easy to talk to the local women, especially if you know Spanish. They like Americans for their money and the fact that they are easily parted from it.

Hello everyone!I have never been mugged or threatened or had any serious problems in Santo Domingo. Great City with some very nice people. If you are going there to fuck, one concern you should want taken care of is staying at a guest friendly hotel. Many guys love the Jaguar Hotel; http://www.jaguarapartahotel.com/. It is located two blocks behind the Renaissance Jaragua Hotel and Casino (by Marriott). Jaguar is like the cat or the car made by the Indian Company. Jaragua is an Indian word from the people who lived on the island (something to do with kingdom). Jaragua Hotel and Casino is a nice hotel, tower section better than the garden section, nice good size pool. Jaguar is a smaller hotel on a side street. Jaragua Hotel and Casino is generally not chica friendly, which means that generally you will not be able to enter with pros you just met. Jaguar is chica friendly.

I have walked around all hours of the day and night in santo domingo, alone. Some hustlers and shoeshine kids near a few p4p venues and outside Coppa disco (now called Pure). They have never robbed from me and I have not read any posts of them robbing people walking around. Don't change money in the street. Don't get too chummy, be polite, sometimes they can help you find a venue, tip them small change, one dollar or whatever (you don't have to). They are definitely not located everywhere in santo domingo. Some guys use other guys there to help them meet women. I believe Chris Long had good success with a guy named Flavio. You can monger alone as well.

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=0&ie=UTF8&msid=106767774275556555984.00046d685b11334063b43&ll=18.467703 Monger map.

There are probably over 10 p4p venues with prices starting at 1000 pesos. SWs 1000 pesos or less, sometimes more.

Zona Colonial has museums and restaurants, sidewalk cafes, art schools, normal people walking around going about their lives, tourists and you will see some beautiful women walking around in zona colonial (all shapes sizes and colors). Late at night zona colonial quiets down, some bars open late, but the streets are quiet. Bars like Pure stay open late (in the old Melia, now magna hotel, soon to be renamed Sheraton Hotel, which is next door to the Jaragua).

Avenida Venezuela, less than a 10 minute taxi ride away from the Jaragua Hotel or Zona Colonial, has a group of bars spread over several blocks.

What is the best casa? Depends. GBP is one of the most inexpensive. Others in the same range, that just about never seem to get visited by most guys on this site. I have visited most of them (some close and new ones sprout up).

Take a walk through UASD campus, large public University (open tennis courts, soccer pitch and basketball courts where pickup games go on). Some pretty and friendly University students there. Not every women is single, some are and some like foreign men, so you can talk with and invite some out for a drink.

This site lists events in music, the arts, theater, cinema; http://venasantodomingo.com/app/do/eventos_more.aspx.

Two new subway lines you can use to visit different parts of the city. Metro runs underground mostly, it does elevate above ground near villa mella, going north.

Some good places for meat dishes, some good places for inexpensive food. There are chain restaurants like hooters, outback, burger king, mcdonalds.

I have never gotten very sick, the shits occasionally, but that sometimes happens in the states too. Tap water most people don't drink. I use the ice all the time, never a problem. Bring some immodium and gas-x, the presidente beer makes me fart like crazy and having some chica ride your dick hard during cowgirl, push down hard on your lower abdomen, best to not have too much bloating there from gas.

Thanks for all your feedback! You guys gave some really, really good insights.

I've already incorporated some of your advises into my communcation with the chicas, and I see the benefits of picking the brains of you vets! Bravo.

You took the time to post this yesterday and no one replied, let me give it a shot. You invested a lot of time in these online chicas so I guess you are taking this first SD trip serious. They are sizing you up while you are dong the same. They want to see if you will make an investment pre-trip before they lock in.This is the most profound thing I've learned so far. I know all along chicas will ask for money, so I expect that. I just didn't know ALL of them are doing it. Amd doing it so matter-of-factly! This explains a lot of their behavior.

So I was telling you guys about the chica who wanted money for her college tuition. I wasn't going to send her money sight unseen anyways, and I used what you guys suggested: "we can talk about it when I get there, and see everything goes."

She was completely agreeable to that. And totally understood what I was hinting at (sex P4P). Like you said, chicas will say things just to size me up to see if I'm willing to pony up. They may know that I know they're bullshitting, but they don't care. For instance, today I was chatting with the chica again, and she sent me a picture of her (parents') house. I was incredulous. This house could be considered middle-class in any American city! And this is the same house where NOBODY can help her with her tuition because NOBODY CAN FIND A JOB! I complimented on how big her house is, and without a trace of irony, she said yes, it is quite big. That just floored me.

I have had very good results with my cupid chicas. All have put out on the 1st night and all have been great in the sack. If you talk with online so when you meet you feel you know them and panties come off. You are king of the kingdom so do not worry about any games.

Pro non or semi they will work to make you their man. You will absolutely love the treatment. It is their interest to make love them.Initially when I wrote my last post I was just rather disappointed at the low rate of return on investment (2 possible hook-ups out of 213 interested chicas?). So when you said all I need is 1 or 2. That put things in the right perspective. And my desired result is the GFE that you described here. Your words are reassuring.

Welcome to the infamous Dominican game of sex poker. She wants money before sex, you want sex before money. Fortunately, the monger has better cards.

You: Really, no Paypal. I can't believe it. I'll try to help you out ("try to help you out" = no commitment on amount) when I get there if everything's going well ("if everything's going well" = if the sex is good). I really want to see you.Great insight here. And I used your "if everything's going well" line. Damn that was good.

My full time live in is in school. I pay monthly for the university. O & M. Around 1, 500 pesos a month.

Don't get played, player.Only 1, 500 pesos a month for college? That's good to know if the chica starts asking for crazy (American universities tuition) figures. Again, D. R's economy completely bewilders me. 1,500 pesos = $37. 50 a month for college tuition?

Once they start dropping hints about money, then it becomes a business proposition (nothing wrong with that, a meeting of the minds regarding price and services, done sometimes in a round-about way). P4P.I believe understanding this, is the key here to success on cupid dot com: Going into it expecting business transactions where the outcome is potential GFE with semi-pro / non-pros, vs the other way around (looking for GFE with semi / non-pro appearing chicas to put out after which you may pay a transaction fee). Today I was much more upfront with a chica about paying for her "traveling expenses" and we immediately hit it off. She even invited me to meet her familiy when I get down to DR!

Jasousa:

I have a couple of questions based on your reply if you don't mind.

I will be staying at the Jaraqua Hotel (the Indian) one. Did I make a bad choice? I want to fuck but I was told you should not "shit wear you eat."

Also, I want to blend in with the locals being a single traveler. Since I look very similar to Shemar Moore in height and look, it that possible?

Boca Chica. Is it as dirty and dangerous as people report?

Sim Card and internet. Do they have reasonable rate on these?

How do you rate Casa de Modelos and what is a Casa you recommend off the beaten path.

P. S. I will make sure I won't eat too much and get GAS when the girl is doing cowboy! She might fart on me as well! Lmafo!Don't stay at Jaragua, stay at Raizor Hotel right across the street. It I 62 dollars with breakfast and girl friendly. You will have problems bringing in women there but if you must stay there then ask for the Garden Tower which you might be able to sneak a girl in.

Hi all, my name is Jon Jon I am new to the board and never knew this great site existed, I would like to say hello to everyone and thanks for the great information.

The reports are fantastic and informative and I am excited in joining you all.

I hope to be a solid, reliable source of information on all aspects of life the DR.

Here is my background,

I have been visiting and living in the Dominican republic for about 22 years and started in the modeling fashion business in 1976 as a makeup artist and scout.

I now work closely with over 150 beautiful models on all sorts of projects, corporate events, runway, print media, casual clothing and lingerie modeling shoots and much more/

I love my job because I love what I do and that is working with and being around the most beautiful, diverse, women on the planet on the lovely island of Hispaniola.

Our company works closely with petite, fashion, curvy, mature, busty and we even book gorgeous plus sized models for clothing lines.

We pride ourselves in only accepting the best looking qualified models, and as you know in the DR they come in all shades of colors so we have an outstanding lineup.

I would estimate 90 percent of these girls have never worked or even visited a Casa cita or Sosua and most live at homes with their families and some with their spouses.

I am friends with almost all of them and maybe about 20 percent have told me they have exchanged sex for money but I am quite sure many are lying as they are not all angels. But I truly firmly believe most. Do not do this on a regular basis at all.

You see I am 67 years old and I am like a father figure to most of the girls so, recently, I have been privately discussing with many of them about the possibility in meeting privately with tourists and business travelers.

After reading this site. The good news about 90 percent of the girls I spoke with agreed to meet with foreigners, as long as it would be extremely confidential and tasteful.

Privacy is key.

Here are the true facts that I have learned about Dominican women and yes I feel I am qualified, as I have spent many years working and just about every major city in the DR. The vast majority of the most beautiful Dominican women, are extremely promiscuous but incredibly private women. If privacy can be achieved even married women in the middle and upper classes will very often be willing to exchange sex for money, but as I said the key is, if this can be done without anyone knowing.

To me this has always been a very strange phenomenon because in Belgium, where I am from, this does not exist.

You must understand the DR is a very small Island and is a collective society, where most family's help one another and contribute in all aspects of daily life, and remain very close to their families throughout their lives, as opposed to women in Europe and the USA, who become independent at 18 to 21 years of age and have one night stands free of charge.

So in essence a Dominican woman's reputation represents the whole nuclear family and these girls do not want to jeopardize tarnishing the family name in anyway.

This is why most beautiful, upper scale Dominican females do not want to be seen with tourists because there is a huge stigma placed on them, if they are seen by others in their inner circles.

The truth is most of these Dominican models would love to meet gringos, but do not have the ability or capacity to risk meeting them in a discreet fashion.

This is why I am pondering the possibility in starting a low fee, extremely confidential private introduction service where men can pick models bv choosing the models they would like to meet, and the models can serve as tour guides and companions in every major city in the DR.

Please stay tuned for much more information or pm me if you have any questions. Please note we do not provide nude photos and our models will never permit anyone to take provocative photos because many have contracts with national and some international / companies and agencies.

I can also promise you that yes, we will be affordable unlike those vacation sites that I just came across that offer marginal looking prostitutes for a shitload of money.

OMG more coming soon.

Cheers from your new friend,

Jasousa: I have a couple of questions based on your reply if you don't mind.Dominicans come in all shapes, sizes and colors (Haitians also. Some rich and poor haitians live in santo domingo). I usually wear slacks, black or dark blue, docker type pants wrinkle free, slip on type black colored shoes, collared button-down short sleeve shirts not tucked into the pants. I have hung with Americans who wear baseball caps, t-shirts and shorts.

At night some Dominican men wear long sleeve button down shirts.

My first stay in Santo Domingo was at the Jaragua (tower section). I loved it. Nice pool, pros in the casino bar, back then. Easy to walk around from that hotel. I had three women visit my room that trip at the Jaragua (I had given their names at the time of check-in), security stopped me with one of them at night, she had big breasts in a small blouse, no bra (still big even though she had had breast reduction surgery). The bigger hotels don't want hoochies running around the property. The other woman (a dentist and her sister) visited during the day and were not stopped.

A short easy walk from the Jaragua (about 4 blocks) is the hotel navarro, Cuban Owned and some of the women who work at expensive Foxys (sort of strip club, p4p venue) live at the hotel navarro. You can rent a room there Por un rato (short time) or over night. Rates are probably around $40 per night for a daily rental (could be less or more).

SIM card you can buy at the airport if you get in at normal business hours. Second Floor adjacent to the escalators is a Claro shop. Orange shop on the first floor near the Pizzarela chain restaurant. Airport has three floors, numerous shops, banks, restaurants (Burger King and others) and Pharmacy where you can buy Viagra, Cialis and generic versions over the counter no prescription (prices are higher at the airport).

In February 2013, I bought a SIM card in Claro in La Romana for 160 pesos (about $3.90US). If you don't have pesos and still want a SIM card, Claro will at the airport take $5US Dollars and sell you a SIM card. The Claro chica will write your new number on a card and tape your old SIM card to that card. You can ask her to add minutes (recargar=recharge), 100 pesos, 250 pesos, 500 pesos. Adding minutes by buying calling cards is easy thereafter (or online using aryty or ezetop). She will install the new SIM card in your unlocked GSM Cell phone, you can throw the rap at her, tell her you want to make sure it works, ask her for her number so you can call to make sure all is good with the connection, (LOL).

Orange, Claro, Viva, Tricom shops and kiosks throughout the city where you can set up a prepaid account (get a SIM card). Data service I haven't used yet, prices seem reasonable. Claro and others sell USB dongles for your laptop. Wind Telecom has 4G. US based cell phone companies seem to have data service in the DR (I have not tried but others have). You will need to present your passport when purchasing a SIM card.

Some people prefer Orange, http://portal.bufeo.com/search/galleries/3235/ (Orange promotion at a Cinema for the movie Batman).

Casa de Modelos is in a house, no sign outside, supposedly open 24/7, I have driven there late at night. Low key inside, sofa, chairs, a bar. I have maybe visited three times, over a year ago. Lineups sometimes change in the casas. Seems they will negotiate price at casa de modelos. Take your time, try and "interview" the best you can (ie covered BJ, time, number of pops etc). The Cuban owner of 305 was always friendly and nice to me and the two women I took out of 305, were good, no problem, no rush. Casa Theresa has some tall, shapely attractive women in a nice house, with good lighting (not the least expensive place). Club MC, Casa Azul, Pink Pony, Penthouse, Venezia, Baby Dolls I have seen attractive women. Sky High and Girls House are owned by the same Cubans, don't expect much customer service from them. Satin Dolls I have known the female Dominican owner for a few years, nice woman who is usually not there. Foxys may charge a small cover charge of around 100 pesos. Dollhouse I have never been to. There are others and there are a few I have not yet been to.

Fast food fried chicken places, bone in or bone out (pechugas) some owned by Chinese Dominicans (say hello in Chinese sounds like knee-how).

(Some rich and poor haitians live in santo domingo). After the earthquake some well off Haitians stayed in Santo Domingo. I don't know of any rich Haitians currently residing in Santo Domingo. Haitians and their descendants live throughout the DR, including in Santo Domingo.

Hi all, my name is Jon JonNice.

Just watch your back, snakes come in all shapes sizes and colors. Some "do gooders" may attempt to use what is posted on this site against someone, be careful.

One recent example is a former Olympian who was outed by someone.

Joycelyn Elders, former Surgeon General of the United States, seems to have been in favor of some form of legal prostitution (Legal prostitution exists in a part of Nevada). Prostitution seems to be legal in various European countries and maybe in Israel.

What is "SW's"? I also hear that there are violent criminals walking around the tourist areas on the Malecon AND that practically everyone has a gun on them. What can you say to that?

Are there any CLARO stores around Jaraqua Hotel? What is the best place to exchange currency? Have you been to Club Omno?

Thank you my friend!I have met a couple deported Dominicans from the States who had various drug charges. One was always walking El Conde, singing in a real deep voice. Some of the guides referred to him as "The Singer." Best to stay away from him, if for nothing else than "guilt by association." Having a gun in SD is pretty common. Went into a pool hall on El Conde and the owner, or manager has a steel plated. 45 in the back of his waistband, open carry. Most security down there is private and they mostly carry. The best exchange rates are in a corner building on El Conde across from the Tourist Police Station, Frank's I think it is? You actually get a decen rate from ATM machines if you have a US debit card from a bank like Bank if America.

Thank you my friend!Maybe you can ask the Colombian Models, Venezuelan Models and/or Brazilian "models" that call Santo Domingo home.

Thank God, that Dominicans believe in Gun Control. They realize less guns are better (and I agree wholeheartedly).

You "hear" some of your information from where exactly?

I walk around in Santo Domingo and I don't carry a gun, most people thankfully don't carry guns. There are Policia Nacional stationed outside every large hotel during the day.

I have not seen violence or any other form of bad behavior on the Malecon.

Plaza Guibia, newly remodeled park with a beach on the Malecon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbpQsad-3sw. Plaza Juan Barón on the Malecon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyjeI6GLy3g.

I have seen various Big League baseball players on the Malecon. Ferbruary 2013 Miguel Tejada came into D' Luis Parrilada Restaurant (supposedly open 24/7, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7MniM5Jj5A) on the Malecon, he has signed contracts probably in excess of $100 million US Dollars to play baseball, he was not scared or worried to be on the Malecon.

Onnos Bar is packed some nights with Dominicans and Foreigners, Miss Hispaniola at Onno's Bar, Zona Colonial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WPTO4bLvJ0. The DJ will take requests if you want to hear a particular song.

I AM thinking you are not ready to go out by yourself. If are afraid of the boogey man. El Conde is safer then most US shopping area because there are cops every where. Tourist are a precious thing in the DR.

I guess you could play a role like David on the Lima site, if any of this is true. However, this is a pretty savvy group. You will have to quote prices and show photos.

Jon Jon

However pretty women in the DR are like finding sand at the beach. With the dating sites it is very easy find a broad spectrum of ladies. I think the models could be a bit high maintenance. Give it a shot but like jao said we going to need photos.

I recommended the Hotel Navarro to you previously as a place you could use, while you are staying at the Jaragua Hotel and Casino. Added bonus of the Hotel Navarro is that some of the "models" who work at Foxys live at the hotel navarro. The one time I stopped in at the navarro a few years ago, I saw a few woman lounging near the lobby in pajamas. I'll re-post a photo of the hotel navarro and the outside of foxys on the malecon. :D

Thanks again!Photo of a Colombiana I met years ago in Bar Atarazana 9 in Zona Colonial. This photo was taken in the corner bar of the casino at the Jaragua Hotel and Casino. Nowadays there is no smoking in bars (there are cigar lounges and bars with open areas to the sky where sometimes smoking is permitted). Hello! And hello to everyone here at ISG.

I will be stating on the Malecon at Jaragua Hotel, and I want to go to Boca Chica for a Day Trip. My questions are:

1. What is the best and least expensive way to get there?

2. Is Boca Chica dangerous and will I be pestered constantly.

3. I look like Shemar Moore so will I be able to blend into the community?

4. How long will it take and is there a specific place for drop off and pickup?

5. What should I do or visit while there?

Thank you my friends!1. Take taxi to the Boca Chica bus station, and then take the guagua. Cost is negligable. Buses about every half hour.

2. Not really. Probably. If you are approached by pimps tell them to fuck off.

3. Depends on your Spanish and how you dress and act, not whom you look like. You will blend in better if you don't walk around in a basketball uniform with a number on your back like some visitors do. If you want to try to pass as Dominican, you will probably wear slacks and shoes, not shorts and flip flops, but shorts tend to be more comfortable if you are outside in the hot sun.

4. Boca Chica is about 1/2 hour from Santo Domingo. Bus station in SD, and ask a motoconcho to take you to the parada de autobuses de Santo Domingo in Boca Chica, but I think some leave from the central park, so you might ask around.

5. Eat, drink, go to beach, have sex with prostitutes, play poker at the Casino. The only building of any interest is the Villa Florencia, and there is not much else in Boca Chica. However if you get there early, or buy your ticket the previous day, there are a number of all day excursions from Boca Chica, like to Saona Island in a catamaran. These are pretty reasonably priced and you get to meet an assortment of people. The boat crews have female entertainers, and you might get a date.

PS.should stay in the hotelWhen I travel to a city for the first time, I may sometimes want to stay in a well known major hotel (until I learn the City and am more comfortable in the surroundings there). Jaragua is nice on a few different levels. Its safe, all the taxi drivers know where it is, pros sometimes in and near the casino there. Casino gets a good number of people every night. The pool is nice at the Jaragua.

Close-by are numerous small chica friendly hotels with prices around $50US. Short term rental at the navarro will be less. Cabanas are ten minutes away by taxi. Some venues have rooms on site.

For people just passing through santo domingo, the Jaragua is not a bad place to stop, if you want to take a break from driving. Valet parking in front (so if you have a rental car loaded with luggage and your valuables, it will be safe with the valet guys, they park the car in front of the hotel, have the bulk of your stuff out of sight in the trunk is always advisable).

Jaragua is also a good meeting spot for any online chicas you may have met, easy to say Jaragua Hotel (Ha-Rog-Wa). Just about everyone knows the Jaragua Hotel. Cafe inside which serves coffee and cakes, as well as alcoholic beverages, Champions Sports Bar/Restaurant and Blue bar. More than likely you will have to wait for for amigas to arrive.

Gua-Guas stop near the telemicro building, which looks like a former hotel. Lots of people walking around there (www.telemicro.com.do).

Other groups of guas guas (minibus or vans) are stationed off Avenida Mexico and Calle Duarte (just north of Chinatown, just north of Zona Colonial). Would probably be at least a 20 minute walk from the Jaragua Hotel. A taxi would cost probably 150 pesos (about $3.60US) from the Jaragua.

Gua Guas probably run at least every hour from santo domingo to boca chica, for a quicker ride ask for an express. Price is probably around 100 pesos ($2.41US).

From El Conde to Boca is 70 pesos. People are misleading the newbies again. If its your first time in SD and you don't speak any Spanish, don't DO IT. Catch a taxi. Horror stories will be coming if this keeps up, remember Gogo warned you. Newbies, please team up with a vet and let him show you the ropes. All this rhetoric about SD being perfect for non Spanish speaking guys is crazy.

Really? How precious?About 4 years ago now, I've seen a tourist policeman shoot a subdued chain snatcher in the back. They cops apprehended 2 chain snatchers (they had just stolen the jewelry of off 2 female tourists).1 robber was handcuffed and the other was on the ground with the policeman's foot on his back. There were 2 cops as well. They took the girls jewelry out of the pockets of one of the robbers and they victims left with the other cop, probably to fill out some paperwork or something. One cop was left with 2 criminals and the one without the handcuffs, was complaining about the cop stepping on him, after a short while the policeman put 2 rounds into him. Apparently he was dead.

I have some cop friends down in DR and I was told that certain tourist areas a free fire zones, where the police will not be questioned if they open fire on robbers. I've also seen armed security on resorts and have been told they have permission to open fire on criminals.

Don't know if it's true but I saw the incident near el conde, and have been told this by some police as well.

I know that sounds crazy but I just don't trust things in the DR based on my experience. Will I just be able to show my cc and just go?

Will I just be able to show my cc and just go?I've seen them decline the prepay from the online services, and they always refuse to accept the prepaid insurance.

When are you going, I have a friend that works at AVIS and I will ask him if they accept those prepaid services. Some of the car companies themselves offer that service.

I got a haircut and a manicure was charged 50 bucks. I reported to the tourist police 15 minutes later the guy is in hand cuffs on his way to jail.Wow, that is interesting! Did you pay first and then go to the police second?

Line 2 stops near Ave Nunez de Caceres and Kennedy, Pink Pony is a two minute walk from that intersection. Agora Mall is near the station for Lincoln at Kennedy. If you stay at the Hotel Barcelo Santo Domingo you can easily walk to the maximo gomez at 27 de febrero station (Juan Bosch station), take line 1 one stop to centro olimpico station and change for line 2. Other stations closer to the Malecon and Avenida Independencia.

Website with photos of the Stations: http://www.opret.gob.do/Inicio.aspx.

Seems you buy a card for 30 pesos that you keep and that you recharge, each trip costing 20 pesos (I haven't ridden the Metro yet).

http://travel.bjs.com/car-rentals/ $30US off coupon for a weekly rental with National in the DR. Alamo and National are partners in the DR. I priced a week rental in May 2013, $262US using the BJs coupon (Third Party Liability Insurance and Glass/Tire Insurance included in that rate, about $37US per day) for the Nissan Tilda (Nissan Tiida). Odometer reading in could be about 11,853 (I believe in kilometers, which would be about 7,365 miles).

Hotel Magna 376.Jaragua Hotel and Casino has a rear exit (entrance) onto Avenida Independencia. Take that exit and make a right onto Avenida Independencia, walk two blocks and make a left onto calle cervantes (you will see a nice old house on one corner, political party headquarters) up the block on the left is La Cadena Supermarket.

Magna Hotel (formerly Melia) has Pure Disco and a popular casino. A pool deck on the second or third floor facing the Sea, nice big open air lobby. Magna Hotel also has a rear exit (entrance) onto Avenida Independencia.

Worth it to visit Boca Chica. Years ago I met an attractive older Dominican-American woman who was at the beach with her daughter, she was on vacation from the States. http://www.bocachicabeach.net/

Pay Jackson the $20US, so you can see the photos posted here and send and receive messages.

THANKS.

Pedestrian only street that stretches for over 11 blocks. Maybe if Henry Ford was alive today he might not be happy with a pedestrian only street. Pool Hall on El Conde, Pizza Places, good hardware store, Claro call center and shop, large art school (painting and sculpture), clothing stores, department store and supermarket, live plant installation on the wall of a parking garage and hotels. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nwN7JuO2Gc

All this rhetoric about SD being perfect for non Spanish speaking guys is crazy.Well I have to disagree. At least when it comes to only transportation. My Spanish absolutely sucked last time when I went, but I was able to master the guagua thing. I did that 3 days out of the 5, traveling to and fro between Juan Dolio (further down the road from Boca Chica) and SD.

The bus depot near Chinatown that Jao mentioned, has air conditioned coaches that will put any Greyhound and Peter Pan buses to shame. Still only costs no more than 200 pesos going from SD to Juan Dolio.

You don't need any Spanish or game to ride the damn bus!

Other groups of guas guas (minibus or vans) are stationed off Avenida Mexico and Calle Duarte (just north of Chinatown, just north of Zona Colonial). Would probably be at least a 20 minute walk from the Jaragua Hotel. A taxi would cost probably 150 pesos (about $3. 60US) from the Jaragua.

Gua Guas probably run at least every hour from santo domingo to boca chica, for a quicker ride ask for an express. Price is probably around 100 pesos ($2. 41US).

I need to learn French and Kreyòl. An attractive Haitiana hit me back in Tagged or Badoo.

From Lonely Planet: "Haiti's south is all about taking it easy. Further west, things get pretty sleepy. The town of Les Cayes seems to be permanently in a contented half-yawn, and doesn’t seem to mind that visitors prefer to use it as an embarkation point for Île-à-Vache. This island is blessed with possibly Haiti’s best beaches and a couple of its nicest hotels. If you can tear yourself away, there are more palm-fringed sandy delights for all budgets in nearby Port Salut.

The southern ‘claw’ is bisected by the rugged Massif de la Hotte, home to some of the last remaining cloud forest, and the stunning Parc National Macaya. It’s a bird-watchers dream, and a visit here can be hugely rewarding, although the logistics are extremely challenging. After a spectacular mountain crossing, the road just about gives up when it reaches the sea at half-forgotten Jérémie, the sometime City of Poets and the most isolated town in Haiti." http://www.lonelyplanet.com/haiti/southern-haiti

You don't need any Spanish or game to ride the damn bus!Its not the tram at Disney. If you can communicate and ask questions, and also comprehend, then sure its possible. If not then a fuckup can put you somewhere else looking stupid. Spanish is required in my opinion not game.

I have done so! I have mailed it to the Florida address! I don't trust giving my credit card! But I have sent in the $25.50!Why wouldn't you use your card? If something appears on it that you didn't buy just tell the company and they take it off and do an investigation.

Hey! Thanks for the information and the video! I love the look! How much does it cost to go to Pure Bar?

Are there cover charges for most clubs?

Your friend!Pure I have not been to, Coppa was free to enter. Dollhouse and Foxy's are the only two venues that I know of that charge a fee to enter. (foxys maybe 100 pesos, dollhouse I never went into).

A video showing the public arrival area on the first level of the airport. A BanReservas Bank can be seen in the video, probably where money can be exchanged (also escalators and elevators to the second floor). Second floor has a claro shop, western union, pharmacy, coffee shop and other shops. Third floor has burger king and other restaurants, with a view onto the landing area for the airplanes. The first level has an Orange shop, ATM machines, restaurants and free WIFI near the Pizzarela restaurant.

Song Lyric: "Give me the white girl pussy. Give me the whiiiite giiiirlll pussssy!"

I didn't really see anything in the airport video, just some ghetto looking kids, and some dancing. Are you sure you will be allowed to travel? You are starting to sound like some high school student. One day when you "grow up" you might be allowed to travel and then maybe you would appreciate the info provided on this site.

Please don't waste the bandwidth on this site.

Very good. Thanks, Jao.Thanks. BanReservas bank in the middle of the screen at 2:17. Some guys have said they have gotten taxis on the second floor, arrival area, for the trip into the city. Always confirm any price before you get into the taxi.

http://www.a2btransfers.com/ might have shared transfers into the city on a mini-bus, for less than a taxi.

Gasoline Station in DR, Texaco, pronounced like Tex Ak O, 10 seconds from the las americas airport (SDQ). If you rent a car you can fill the tank up at this Texaco before returning the rental. Not a bad idea to get out of the car when getting gas (I have never seen self serve), and look at the pump. If a worker tries to distract you with something while getting gas, may not be a good sign. At a Texaco in La Romana, I probably got less gasoline than I what I paid for, the worker distracted me by saying one of the tires needed air. That was the one and only time that happened (I have a general idea how much 1000 pesos will move the gasoline needle). The Texaco near SDQ sells fried chicken and has a mini-mart, supposedly open 24/7. There is also an Isla gas station in the middle part of the highway between the airport and the city (open 24/7). There is a gas station near the main traffic light where you turn to visit the beach in boca chica.

Texaco Station near the SDQ Las Americas Airport at 9:20 of this video. (there is a place a few hundred feet down the road where you can make a U-turn to return in the direction of the airport). I have driven out of the airport at 4am with a rental.
