I have found some very affordable airbnb's of very high quality. They are clearly less expensive than my "go to hotel", ie the Palacio on Duarte / Conde. The Palacio is certainly a bit more than $37. It is right next to hotel Sheraton in av. George Washington.

I even got an airbnb for $900 for month in Torre Armonio 408. The trick is. I usually book it for 1 or 2 days and then try to contact the owner to give me a monthly deal. So we exclude the airbnb commission and maintenance and service fees.

The reason I am able to do that in Santo Domingo as I am going to be here for a few months. So I have the freedom of doing it. But I guess it is not worth the hassle if you are visiting the country for few days.

P.S. These 2 apartments are nicer and more spacious than hotel jaragua. On the contrary. I would really appreciate if they can replace the queen bed with the king or California king bed.

My last day in the DR I spent in Santo Domingo. This report is really going into detail about my rookie exploration. I have never been to DR. I have never "mongered" or done something like this. I'm mid 20's. Here goes.

So you can bring as many chicas as you want. For a rookie, this was not a smart move as I find out later. AirBNB location was impossible to find, had to have this Barber who spoke English find it for me. Hit up the WhatsApp of the casas and sure enough they all quoting 3500 pesos for 1 hour. Even the Venezuelan spot Mr. E / Knowledge said was 3000. I say fuck that caz after Sosua and BB this seems a little too much. Call an Uber to go to Adrian tropical for lunch, traffic at 5 pm is deadly, I'm just sitting in the car and its not moving. I cancel uber and decide to go have lunch at Grands. I sit near some white guy who's been there while I was waiting for my Uber. It was him and 3 other black guys sitting and talking about some shit, I didn't pry or listen to hard. Have some food and then leave. Back to AirBNB. Someone locked the front gate with a lock and I didn't have keys to the lock. Can't get in touch with host. Go sit on the bench contemplating what I'm do. Locked out for like 15 mis, go back and see gate is open. Go to host apt and tell him about lock, he gives me another paid of keys to open it. So lesson for those that AIRBNB. Make sure the keys fucking work and you have emergency phone numbers to contact them.

Go to Renaissance Hotel and Casino at 830 pm. Walk the Malacon. Amazing view and attraction Saw some SW, 2 came up and said hola and touched me, I said no gracias. This is where my trip report and night really strarts.

In front of the casino and bar they had this huge stand set up idk wtf that was about until I met my NY to DR hustler friend George. So I'm about to enter the casino and this guy who's in the parking lot just standing there looking like he's directing traffic or some nonsense calls out to me in Spanish. I say in English I'm going to casino. We talk in English and he says he's from NY too. Ight cool he speaks English and from NY. I should have known that combo don't mix too well in DR. He tells me his name is George and he does security for Renaissance. He shows me some ID with his name but nothing that mentioned he's security. I'm like maybe that's how it is in DR. Guy starts talking to me and says what are you doing here. I say it's my last day in DR and I wanted to come to his place. He says oh man that sucks it's your last day, I'm like yeah got to go back to work. He then says well let's go inside, "I work here so I know the place" I go with him and he shows me around the Place from the bar to the back of the hotel. Amazing hotel, definitely would love to stay there. So we in the bar talking about his life and how he has a kid in NY and that he hasn't seen him for 9 years caz he don't have a green card or some shit. He seemed like a genuine cool guy but he had his agenda. I ask him when the bar get popping. He says around 12:30 am the live band comes in and the bar gets people coming in around 1 am. It's open 24/7. At the time it was around 920 pm. There were 2 males with their female companion. One female was a hot white Latin looking, probably Dominican. She was with some cubby Hispanic / white looking guy who looked to be 10-15 years older than her. Then there was a skinny one also pretty but she was with some old white dude who was like 20 years older. That guy spoke Spanish and was singing to the karaoke Spanish song. There's no one coming into the bar, at least no chicas so the dude tells me where you want to go, I tell him maybe look for girls. He says alright. But let me show you around the hotel. So we look around. Very nice hotel. We pass by some area where there's a bunch of people in suites. George tells me those are some high profile people who are here for the Independence day festival. That big area I saw in front of the hotel, well the big politicians will be sitting there for Independence day. That explains what that is.

He says no you can't do all night for that much, just 2 hours. I says never mind then. George tells him I went to Sosua and got this for 4500 and shit. Still no whole night, just 2 HR. I say never mind and let me get the bill. Jesus looks mad and pissed. I go to pay at the bar and he says it's 450 pesos for the drinks. Give him 1000 pesos. Then he says how much you have left, I take it all out and it's 1300 left. He says I thought you had 5300. I say no I. Have 60 $ dollars left in my hotel room. Okay I actually had it on me, hiding in my socks (in NY I Milly rock) caz I didn't want some stupid shit to happen as I've been told by couple people it's more dangerous just due to pick picking and people asking for money and shit. So he does his conversion and he says you have 4800 pesos, I'm like na it's 5000. I says I have some extra pesos on me but that for tomorrow in case I need it to get a taxi or something. He says okay give the girl The 60 dollars and I'm take all your 2300 and you can have all night. I says okay deal. Here's where this dude finesses me, he goes to the back where the girls Change and comes back and tells me of the girl just threw up and can't go out with you. I'm like wtf. He then brings these 5 girls who I did not want out and says pick one. I say no I want the one I was talking to. George is explaining to me how she just threw up from drinking too much and shit. I had a similar problem too in my first visit in September 2016. I met a taxi driver outside Jaragua named Pedro. He took me to couple of clubs in the city and then ended up choosing a girl from La21 in av. Pasteur (which is closed now). The mistake I did was I let the taxi guy did all the talking and I was told I was paying for all night but the girl told she received money for 2 hours from her boss / manager and she had to leave. It was my first time and I had an early flight next day so I did not want to make any scene. So I let her go. The Casas are usually your most expensive option. It is best to avoid them.

You were in the perfect spot on the Conde and at Pacos. Working girls always show up at Pacos or around there. Or you could take a walk on the Conde and keep a look out for the chicas who are working. They will give you the look.

You should learn some basic spanish before you go back. That's makes all the difference.

I have been staying on Conde when I visit SD for 8 years. Rarely do I see anything better then a 6. Some of the massage girls are decent and will go back to your room for 1500. In all cases you get what you pay for. The quality of the girls in the casinos tendss to be a bit better and more professional. Tonight I called one of the uber drivers number that I had when I to head to helipad (I think it is cheaper to call a uber driver than get a regular taxi by the hotels if you want to venture a couple of spots with no exact destination.). We agreed for 300 pesos to go there and wait till I get a girl and then come back. I told him I need to go to the helipad and there is a club on the other side of the road. We didn't see any club exactly on the opposite of the road (maybe we missed it). But we saw something on the other side after we drove for 1 or 2 minutes. The club was named Afuego and it is located at the intersection of calle primera procasa and av. Autopista 30 de mayo. The place has a bar and a sitting area with restaurant style tables and 4 chairs and I did see some food being served too. He then asked me how much did the app said the trip was to Boca Chica. It is estimated at 950 pesos. I told him I had the same app he had so we both have the numbers about it’s un mill. He asked it's me 1500? I said no un mill.

When we arrive the app shows 850 pesos. And that's what I gave him to the peso. He asked me un mill? I told him I would have gave him 1200 had he help me with my luggage. Needless to say the app tells you to price no need for an argument or possible disagreement.

This is Republica Dominicana. You are good until they change the rules. When they change the rules then you are not good anymore. No one can give you a correct answer to your question. Not even Dominican officials. I'll give you an example: Came thru customs and said I was staying for 30 days. I was asked by DGM: "Do you have enough money to stay in my country for 30 days?" What I wanted to say: right now you perra I have more money in my pocket than you make in a month. Yes, I think I do. What I actually said: "Si, Senoria. Yo tengo bastante dinero por mi tiempo en su pais. " (Yes, maam I have enough money for my time in your country). Then I was told to make sure I left within 30 days of my arrival. And I arrived on a one way ticket. And I ignored her admonition. I paid my overstay fee when I left and I was good.

Now I don't give a fuck if the the Dominican Republic does not let me into their country ever again. It's not like they have a monopoly on good pussy. But I can tell you that I don't know of anybody who has not been allowed to return solely because they overstayed. But honestly brother, I don't know what is going to happen to me each time I leave the country. But that's part of the thrill. Isn't it?

I can confirm that the casino is way better than what we can see in Boca Chica. I visited bc Fri. And sat night and was deeply disappointed. Arrived at SDQ from MIA. It was a short 1 h 40 m flight and comfortable as the flight was not full and the seat next to me are unoccupied. Messaged my regular uber driver about the arrival time of flight so he was there to pick me up from the airport (I don't want to risk taking the uber as one of my friend got scammed with uber last year when he was leaving from the airport, the driver cancelled the trip and made him pay 2000 pesos when he arrived at Crowne plaza in Santo Domingo) the first couple of days I was busy doing grocery shopping and toiletries and other online delivery apps as I rented an apartment in torre villamar next to hotel Sheraton in malecon. There was a supermarket named la calderia which is less than 5 minutes walk and has most of the stuff that I needed. The location is quite perfect as it is close to the action and tourists who want to look at ocean.

Thanks.I think it would be cheaper to get a double bedroom airbnb for 40 $ and there would be no problem bringing in any number of chicas. If not there are some hotels (of the quality of motel or less) in Gazcue which goes around $45 and up for 1 bedroom per night. It is better to compare the prices and choose one that is perfect for you.

I think most of the upscale hotels requires the passport of the girl and there is a walk of shame and I don't know some people said they had trouble when they tried to bring more than 1 girl in a day.

Right now I'm back in TO to take care of a little business, family stuff like weddings, and Father's Day) I am almost exclusively fucking semis.

The differences are real and not imagined in the social pecking order.

In Sosua the reality is that semis are typically bar, hotel and retail store staff. They have a regular job and therefore have some social skills, personal hygiene and grooming, can show up on time, and can be trusted around money and food.

That's a big difference from your average strip strolling "pros", right there!

In their jobs with the public, they are constantly being hit upon by tourists and regular visitors. They all want to fuck that new young beautiful bartender or server. store clerk or bank teller. The guys all want to know if she's putting out, or wifed up.

I just found an article that said the 10% tip is supposed to be charged and divided amongst the workers if you consume inside of the establishment, but if your order is to go or delivery then you should not be charged this tax.
