Babalu! Wow that is really going way back.Babalu was great. I once took a guy that has lived here 40 years there. We are walking through liquor store with a 100% born and bred dominican guy. Thanks for the info.I don't think casa Teresa have any Venezuelans or Colombians now. Everyone is Dominicans now. But its the most expensive casa of Santo Domingo.
Regarding the 305 and oasis. I am not sure. I only started mongering in RD since 2 years. But oasis is a casa where you have steps as you enter and have to go upstairs to meet the girls and bar. Isn't the 305 one of the casa in zona colonial or av. Pasteur?(maybe one of the senior mongers can answer that question).

So I spent four nights in SD at the Jaragua. The Jaragua is girl friendly, but I suggest being discreet about it. You must check-in any guest you bring to your room. The Jaragua is very nice and if you can afford it, I highly recommend it. Its about 120 $ a night on short notice and for 150 $ you can have a very nice suite.

She was OK and I was very drunk.
Conclusion: If you don't speak Spanish, SD can be a little tricky. Its definitely still a great place and I do not regret my trip at all. I have been to Sosua and I enjoyed both, but they are different. Sosua is def easier, but SD def has a better variety, hotter women, and nicer bars, hotels, casinos, etc. SD is also more expensive as well, but not by too much.
I also plan to work on my Spanish and return in August. Hopefully second trip will be better than the first.

Prices seem to have gone up in jaragua casino I used to pick up chicks there for 1500 to 2500 typically 2 k.

Dominicans come in all shades but most a brown in SD. Strip clubs are not very popular in the DR. Why go look at pussy when there are casas where you can buy what you want. Dominican women are often mixed spanish and black. It is a greag combination. If you are going to hang in SD you need some Spanish or some one who gude you. SD things are spread all over the city. It was 6 of us in the mini van and it cost 70 pesos. But he didn't go to Parque Independencia so I got off at Avenida Venezuela and did Uber for 166 pesos.
My boy (also from DC) purchased a beautiful spot on the malecóand just steps from the ocean so I booked his place. With all the negative press about the DR lately, I have been getting great deals on flights and accommodations. A colomado is there and a park also as the condo sits two blocks east of Napolitano on the malecón. Hit the colmado for water, juice and presidente light. After stocking* the crib did a walk through el conde as I waited for my girl at Nacional grocery store. Frank's is the spot to exchange money on el conde but pay attention. It's 51.25 pesos to the US dollar but he gave me a receipt for only 51 then acted surprised when I pointed to his board that said 51.25. Hit Petras for food and had a beer at Pacos.
My girl finally arrived at 6 pm when she said 4 pm but I expected such. She does her usual girlfriend moves. She brings two bags full of clothes, a bag full of shoes, and two purses. We go to the condo and she plants her traps. See she marks her territory by making sure she let's any other female know that I got to girl. I arrived to Santo Domingo in the early morning. Customs took only 2 minutes. The food court in the arrivals area of the airport is under remodelation. I went up to the second level. A Banreservas booth was working at 7:30 am, they were paying 50.75 pesos per dollar. I decided to wait until arriving to zona colonial and went to Frank el Azuano, he was paying 51.50. Franks has been my money exchange house since 1998. I observed for the first time in 20 years that cab drivers were also on the second level. It should be because Uber drivers usually recommends its customers to wait them in that area. Two cab drivers were aggressive trying to get my business but my Uber driver arrived fast and we left the area. I observed the minivan mentioned by Oldkool was there just across the street on departure area.
I did not sleep last night so I was sleeping in route to hotel Palacio. The Uber driver woke up me and we were in front of Palacio Presidencial, he was confused about what Palacio to go. It is a minute walk from Supermercado Nacional on El Conde. They let you make early check in if available, my room was ready by 10:00 am.

I stay at Jaragua. It's very nice. The casino is a great place to browse. No problem with girls. There is that walk of shame though. Is there a walk of shame at Palacio or is it discreet?If they have their cedulas, you can bring as many girls as you want. I can personally attest to having brought four girls to my room at one time as recently as May 2019.
If they do not have identity cards, you are wasting your breath to try and talk the front desk into letting them in. I have been going there 1-3 times a year since 2008. I once had a girl show up with her birth certificate, and they refused to let her in. A passport or an American drivers license (I had a Dominican GF once upon a time who lived in the states) will also get the chica through the door.

I only made it a month in America before I had to get my ass back to another country. It seems my quality of life goes down in America compared to living abroad. Don't get me wrong no place is perfect but Americans in America are on edge and angry. Ex: I always cut my grass real low and trim it real good the day before a trip, well I look out my window two days before I leave and see this fat dyke sitting in a truck and two Mexicans working cutting grass. I go two houses from mine and ask the lady, who is on the phone with the drivers door open, can you cut my grass next and I will pay you what you ask? She continues talking on the phone and ignores me so after a moment I ask again. She looks at me crazy and says " I don't give a fuck about you or your yard". Getting pissed I said to get your fat ass off the phone talking lovely duvey and do some work and you can get more things done. She got pissed and jumped out the truck and we start to argue. I'm not about to fight a female so I just walked away. All I could think about was that I was taking a trip in about 30 hours. At least Dominicans try to be nice and try to make you feel comfortable.

Anyway I'm here walking the conde and hanging out while enjoying the positive effects of the DR. After two days here and many trips before I'm starting to think that El Conde and SD might be the perfect spot for a guy that likes variety.
You have pros and non pros all on a strip (El Conde). You have good restaurants and many salons to service all your needs. You have night activities and malls during the day. Reasonable accommodations are easy to find. The expats congregate daily at several spots if that's you thing. You got Michael Jackson for entertainment along with chess, dominoes and dancers. It also has things for the alternative crowd if that's your thing. All its missing is a beach. Tell me some place else that offers all this in one location or within a 200 p cab ride? Sosua does come close but you don't have the non pro selection like el Conde does. If you are in a mongers group hanging out on the Conde, the non pros probably will give you a smile and keep walking but if you stake out a good spot solo you can easily approach a non pro and have her join you for a beer or dinner later.
Its been raining on and off here so its been slow but I still have fun doing normal things on the conde plus its a 7 minute wall from my home.
My adventures today:
My main girl stayed the night and I had to walk her to the bus stop which is near El Conde. I decided to stop at the cell phone store on el Conde for a quick stop. In a hotel you have someone changing your sheets and towels everyday. The one caveat is that SD isn't necessarily a "pleasant" city. There are people trying to hustle you everywhere you go and it can get on your nerves quickly. I've know a few mongers who just couldn't handle Santo Domingo. But if you can deal with the hassles, SD is IMO one of the more underrated destinations for our hobby in the World.
Medellin right now with the exchange rate is just a ridiculous bang for your buck. But I'm not sure I'd endure two long layovers to get there (well maybe I would if I was staying for a month).

Rule#2 If the chica (girl) quotes you in US dollars she is probably a pro, proceed with extreme caution.

Now lets look at what you are asking ". Get non-pros. Good prices. Don't get fooled by these girls" Well if they are "non-pros" but charging you too much then either they are "pros" or on their way to becoming them.
What's the "going rate" depends on the chica, the monger, her circumstances, your circumstances, how long and a host of other factors. You'll find prices that vary from $0-$300 or maybe even more. On my first trip I average about 2500 ($50) but went as high as 4000 ($80) per chica. I think almost all hotels are guest friendly in RD other than few excpetions like Barcelo. But I got the girl into the room in 2 occassion without registering and I entered the hotel with her as my girlfriend.
According to me, these are my top 5 hotels in RD (irregardless of budget).
1. Jaragua renaissance, close proximity and located on malecon.
2. Jw marriott in blue mall, its located in downtown and there is too much traffic. Always plan ahead of time.
3. Hotel intercontinental, close to jw marriott and more newer hotel than jw marriott.
4. Embassy suites by hilton.
5. Sheraton, next to jaragua on malecon. But the rooms are older and Jaragua is a better choice.
All these 5 hotels are 1000000% guest friendly and are according to American standard.

I've used Dominican cupid (DC) before a few of my trips and unless you like dealing with a bunch of drama and dead ends your time will be much better spent RTTF. Even if you do want the drama still RTTF. Prices I've paid are more in line with Grownman and Mr. E but I always stay in the chithole Boca Chica. It works for me. Again RTTF but I'll give you a few tips that you should find.
1. Think pesos not dollars (you may be already doing this).
2. You've got a few months, use that time to learn Spanish.
3. I think DC is a waste of time but if you do decide to use it wait until 1-2 weeks before your trip. It takes A LOT of you time. My friends have had more success with Tinder once they were on the ground.
4. Start with having chicas short time, 1-2 hrs max. You two may not click and if you don't speak conversational Spanish what are you going to do during your downtime if you have her longer. SD is a big, confusing city for someone who does not speak Spanish. With the sort of money you are prepared to spend, you might consider staying in Puerto Plata city and taking girls out of Crystal and Oasis. Puerto Plata is a cosier environment with a lot of tourist trade so many people speak English. There is at least one casino. (Only sensible if you can get direct flights there from wherever you are).
I am not an expat. I am not looking for cheap and I am not over paying. I want a great experience. Sws rarely satisfy that requirement. I have used DC with great success. I speak enough Spanish to get by. I spend 5 k pesos for all day. Get as many pops as I want while enjoying movies and clubs. Getting solid good GFE is well worth it. We all have our own preferences. There is more then one way to skin a cat. I go to sosua when I want to sport fuck. SD is not great place to sport fuck for me. I do not do casas and the quality of SWs is not that great. I have had no problem with DC girls. I ready to say no to any BS. The semi pros have made me very happy.

But there is a big difference between "limited Spanish" and "considerable experience" (such as you have) and "nil Spanish" and "first visit" as in Ravi's case. I am not an expat. I am not looking for cheap and I am not over paying. I want a great experience. Sws rarely satisfy that requirement. I have used DC with great success. I speak enough Spanish to get by. I spend 5 k pesos for all day. Get as many pops as I want while enjoying movies and clubs. Getting solid good GFE is well worth it. We all have our own preferences. If security of your bankroll is a concern, I'd focus first on staying in a top notch hotel with a casino in it. Second, I'd check with the hotel to see if they had safe deposit boxes or a hotel safe to handle just the type of concern you have. Hotel casinos have the advantage of dealing with guests that are moving around the hotel with large sums of cash. Third, you do not have to let strangers in your room. Depending upon where you are staying it may be very easy to get a "puta" hotel room for very little cost. Or take them to a cabana. Any chica that is too good to hit a cabana with you but wants to get paid to suck you dick can fuck herself (in my not so humble opinion). My concern would be moving with large amounts of cash on the street. But even that can be done if you have a private driver you can trust.
