I am going to be in SD for a few days soon and would welcome your thoughts on the right approach. I have a fair amount of experience in other latin American countries but DR seems a little different so I am still deciding what approach to use.
My primary purpose for the trip is not sex, so I am not looking to bang a whole parade of girls, but I am not going to miss the opportunity in a place like this either. I am more looking for one or two relaxed encounters, and maybe some one to hang out with a bit, get dinner and drinks. I don't really want to overpay if I don't have to, but cost isn't a major constraint either if it's only a couple times. My priority is on having an enjoyable time with an attractive woman. I do have other things that I need to get done with my time there, but my schedule is relatively flexible.
In other places I have either been able to use agencies, which I don't see much mention of here (I assume they aren't legal? Recommended girls from online forums (which people don't seem to share much for DR), or had contacts that hooked me up with trusted options, so this will be a new experience for me. I was just looking at Santo Domingo ads on there a few hours ago thinking how nice it would be to visit.
Stay in the Piantini area. Pretty sure that's the nicest area. I don't know which hotels are girl-friendly because I stayed in an Airing when I went in 2018. Back then, I just got drunk and cab drivers brought me to clubs where I could sleep with the girls upstairs, but I was too drunk to remember the locations and if I went back, I'd do Skokka cause it's easier and cheaper.

Remember prostitution is legal in DR. You can avoid "relationships", if you visit the locales where you will find the ladies that ply their trade, bars, restaurants, clubs, around the hotels, and even walking the streets. Negotiate openly for P4 P up front, and pay only for services rendered.
The "dating" apps are called that for a reason. Many chicas posting there will expect regular dating protocols, such as meals, transportation home, and other common courtesies, if you ask them to meet you.
Unless you have time on your hands to sort out the wheat from the chaff, keep it simple. No obligations of any sort.

Shokka can also be affective for less talking matters. Because you speak a little better Spanish than the average gringo, you should fare better in your communications. You say you only have three days? I suggest you use all three apps and set up as many meetings with chicas of your liking as you can. 20 to 30 is a good number. I would start doing this a week or two prior to me leaving.
Since you are not new to this game disregard this suggestion. But newbies when you're in this situation of a short vacation don't try to look for serious relationships. Avoid all females that said their looking for serious relationships. You don't have time to date. As flexible as we can be on vacation our time is really limited. Who wants to spend days coordinating with a nice chica, Taking her out, and spending valuable short time vacation time with her for companionship? She is looking for something serious and don't plan on having sex with you in the first second or third encounter.
I would use Tender and pick many of the chicas that are in close proximity to my location. You don't have time to do a lot of coordinating with chicas that live on the other side of the country.
Once you're on the ground your time is going to go by quickly. It's better to have sex set up than have a date set up. You can play the dating game when you have more time to spare.
Be straight up with the chica. Tell her you're not looking for a prostitute but you plan on taking care of the woman who takes care of you. These chicas are not stupid. They will not read between the lines they will know what that means. I've lost so many opportunities playing with my time, money and Chicas instead of getting straight to business. Based on what you wrote, I would do it a little different than the other suggestions, with all due respect to those too. It doesn't sound like shooting your milk in a latex bag is your top priority. Id spend the opportunity to get a shot at the higher quality stuff the country has to offer.
Tinder is kind of a hassle because you get tons of matches and most of them are hookers pretending not to be hookers. In other words, they want to come to your place and fuck for 3000 pesos, but she'd be pissed if you said she's a prostitute. Nothing wrong with that of course, I'm not knocking that behavior whatsoever. There's an endless supply of single mothers for 2-3 K DOP for three hours. Pay the 30 bucks to see who liked you, and you'll spend the remainder of your time before you leave messaging chicas.
However, that said, if what you said is true, I would Only choose the ones that claim to be looking for relationship. And you may want to word your profile that you're not looking for fast sex. Because the vast majority of them are available for a short time anyway. Her expectations are easily adjusted (probably), you're just the one that gets to adjust them. I would stick mostly to Cupid, better quality in my experience. (If you're looking for hookers you can match in the morning and be at your place in the afternoon, Tinder is better). When you're chatting her, tell her you don't really expect sex, but you're a romantic guy and you expect to kiss her all over. That way when it comes time she's begging for it, you won't need a rubber (whatever that is).

Planning on my first trip to the DR as the Philippines are off limits. Was planning on Puerto Plata but that cost for round trip flight there in June from ATL is over $1000 now. The cost for Santo Domingo is under $500 for a flight. I might try to do an AirBNB if not then hotel. I'm doing a lot of research as like I said I am new visiting DR. That's mostly throughout the country that I have experienced. Especially when it comes to dealing with chicas of First second and third encounters. Many of them never had a 9 to 5 where punctuality is essential. When someone other than a gringo gives me a time I ask them are they on Dominican time or American time. In Dominican time 20 minutes can easily be 2 hours and 30 minutes. Or I will meet you on Tuesday can very easily turn to Thursday.
I would suggest you let her know that you're only in the area for a few days before you go to another part of the country to check that area or meet friends. If you don't put her on a time restriction she will treat you like your time is free and unlimited (like your wallet) and only expect something for her time. A chica with long-term goals with a man on a short time vacation is a recipe for blue balls.

Hostile and rude attacks like yours keep people from posting on this "Public forum". If there was 50 posts a day for people asking for help in making their decisions, I would be more inclined to agree with your post, but there's like 2 posts a day on the SD forum, so what is the big deal? For all we know, you could have scared off a poster who has some great intel on SD or another mongering destination that he could have shared with the forum. I also understand the concept of RTFF and I support it 100%, but new info comes up all the time, new bars, agencies, strip clubs, places close, move locations, etc. Maybe a person is just trying to get the latest info on a particular destination. Without doing it by force, which is of course highly illegal, highly stupid, and no one in their right mind would ever advocate, especially not me, one way to access one of these stunners might be to just start jabbering at her. You might be exactly what she's had in mind but the right hombre just hasn't hit on her in the past 10 minutes. Give her your number and you might just get a new chat mate! If you're tranguillo enough and have your shit together you might nail it. I don't know about bars or clubs so I can't comment, and the P4 P's I've observed top out at around 8. Jaja. (Just made myself laugh). You might try Pargue Enriquillo, good place to sit and take it all in.
Safety: The city is safe enough in my opinion, I've walked late at night and only got attacked by a pack of fucking dogs protecting their corner. One of the MF'ers actually got a nip at me before I go to the nearest pile of rocks.
Internet: If you need fiber optic speed, I don't know how available that is, or in what part. But your Internet is only as good as what the owner of the place supplied. So it ranges from one of them prepaid hotspot devices that get 1-4 MBPS if they work, to something better. Check ahead with the owner. I use my Claro data most of the time, it's not bad. Ookla just gave me 4. 2 on my apartment line and 30 with Claro. But it's after midnight.
Blackouts: I forget what it's called but there's a name for zones that are better. But that don't matter, I was in one of them and within the first five minutes the lights went out. Like Internet, it's only as good as what the owner provides. There should be back up, and if they have their shit together it will run the Aircon too.
Best neighborhood: That should answer your question, some like to be near Conde, near the Melecon, or near the malls. I wouldn't stay in Villa Mella, too far. Same with SD East, unless your main priority is easier access to Juan Dollio and Boca Chica.
Where to get Viagra: I dont know, India is a good place, best to order online ahead of time.

Day 5 of two weeks.
The seniors from the board have been great in sharing their knowledge.
I moved from Jaguar to Shakey apartment hotel. Only stayed one night because the internet was a too weak signal. Moved from Shakey to an economical two-bedroom with strong internet on Gazcue. Thanks for the Indriver tip subcmdr. I again lined up chicas from DomCupid to visit me in the afternoon, knowing more than half would no show. In my experience, when the chicas said they were in the taxi I asked for them to send a foto of themselves in the taxi. Sometimes the story changed to, "ai Papi" I waiting for Indrive or taking a bath. I had fun figuring out the logistics to meet up with a variety of semipros. Most of the time I paid 2 mil or 3 mil and always paid directly to the taxi. One or twice I saw female taxi drivers for ladies.
I found time to be an adaptable concept in RD. I followed good advice from senior members not to let them control my time or availability. It happened again with two chicas arriving at the same time. I told one to come at alas 3 pm the other alas 5 pm. Each girl was to 2 mil pesos plus indriver taxi one way. Of course, both showed up at 4 pm precisely. I didn't sweat it, just told one she has to wait in the lobby for an hour or two until I am done with the first one. She got mad, called me a pig, and left. The next day she sends me a Hola Papi let's meet what's up message. I found choosing online based on pictures was a tricky situation.
It was mentioned earlier by others and I agree about doing video calls before the meeting. I did a lot of calls from Malecon or Gazcue as proof of being in-country now. Some ladies' Fotos are 10 years and twenty pounds ago. I tried all varieties, light skin, dark, mature, college-age, plain chicas, and smoking hot. For me, chemistry, an appealing face, attitude, and performance count more than just hot curves.
So far, I enjoyed hanging out at Grands / Pacos, taking with the fellas, and chatting with some freaky people that lead colorful lives. I learned to adapt to RD time by having a backup plan and going with the flow and not sweating the small stuff.
I visited the place Atlanto? (Atlantic don't remember the name) next to Foxys. The chicas looked pretty nice for a Sunday night. The guy said 4000 pesos per hour. I did not partake, had other arrangements with my most favorite lady in 30 min back at my hotel.
Another new experience for me was after a few days, I was deep in the "friend of a friend" network to hook up with available chicas by referral. That was awesome for me and less work finding good matches.

My experience with Tinder girls are as follow:
Once I match with them on tinder, we chat and after a few convo, I would tell them that I would like to meet them. If a girl has naughty pics or she has pics in hotel room or hotel establishment, she might be a semi-pro (may not be %100 accurate). If a girl has a naughty pic, I would mentioned how much I would like to see her body in person. I only had one girl asked me to send her money before meeting and I unmatched her. Once they come to my hotel, we would spend about 30 minute chatting before I make a move or they would give me a hint. Once they leave, I would give them about 2000 Pesos, if I see them a second time, I would give them 500 pesos-1000 pesos to catch a ride depend on where they live. I never mentioned money with them.
My recommendations.
Don't make the impression that all Dominican girls are semi-pro or pro. Some girls on tinder are looking for relationship, friends with benefits and some want to have fun with tourist and hang out and some want to maintain arrangement relationship. Don't offer them money and be upfront with them. Just know that they will expect you to give them something whether after you had fun with them or after a few meetings.Best post I've read on this board so far. Many times we're the ones turning these young innocent girls into hookers by mentioning money.
They fuck the local Dominicans free whom the majority has nothing to offer them (think on that). You, the gringo bring them hope, it's fantasy. Which is why I always say the island has a lot more to offer than just p4 p. The ambience is nice, it's well located, the rooms are cleaned spotless every day, they have a decent bar and the breakfasts are good.
But keep in mind that as long as the chicas have their cedulas (official identification cars), you are fine. The front desk photocopies the cedulas and you generally walk to your room alone and unobserved as this is not a high traffic hotel. The management is very understanding, even if you have three ladies on your arms. However, if the chicas do not have their cedulas, you will never persuade management to let them into the hotel. This is for your own protection. If you pick up a girl at a club, or arrange for a visit with a girl from a web site like Badoo, be certain that they know that the possession of a cedula is a requirement. I have experienced situations where the girls are turned away, which is a real disappointment after midnight when you are super ready for some great fun. Well I got my dates to Santo Domingo for June. Got an direct flight from Atl to SDQ and return. I don't mind paying extra for the shortest trip to an destination. Haven't made hotel bookings yet, deciding between.

You might make a stop at Blackbeards for a couple of days.

The only clip joint I have ever run into in the Dominican Republic selling alcohol is at SDQ Duty Free. You will find bottles selling for prices way in excess than you can buy at most locations I frequent.
Now everyone knows (or should) that you are going to pay more per individual drink than if you are buying a bottle and pouring yourself. You are going to pay more at a colmodo for your bottle than if you are buying it from supermarket or a specialty liquor store. And it should be noted for the observant that you will see many Dominican buying alcohol from colmados all the time. That is because for many the colmado is the easier route in which to make a purchase or receiving a deliver in your home where you can tip the delivery guy anywhere from 0 to 15 pesos. But as I have often asked: What the fuck do I know? I just live here. LOL!

I personally do not think that Sosua is a tourist trap. An American on a mongering trip for the first time in his life should have a good time here. Someone on a purely mongering trip with p4p experience in other destinations such as Colombia, Brazil or Thailand will be disappointed. I can see myself visiting Sosua again but mongering will be secondary to the beach and culinary attractions.I don't want to dump on the town but if you didn't go to Sosua to monger you'd be disapointed. I mean it's a small beach town but it's more expensive for everything than in the Capital city. And the cab drivers and chicas are rip off artists. I wouldn't go to sosua unless I was an experienced monger with a decent command of spanish.

I'm posting this here because most mongers and expats do the DR / Colombia circut. When asked about the DR vs. Colombia any DR expat will tell you Colombia wins hands down. Then when asked why are they in the DR they don't have a good answer.
Granted I haven't been to Meddy or Carty so take this with a grain of salt. Colombia blows the DR out of the water in all ways except for general ease of living and women. What I mean is you can
speak almost no Spanish like I did when I came to the DR and quickly figure it out. I was able to get what I needed as easily in the Dr as I was in English Speaking Kenya. Shit is different in Cali Colombia. You get the run around when finding out basic information and there doesn't seem to be any monger hangouts where you can meet fellow mongers and get schooled. This is similar to Africa where people don't really help Black Mongers.
Secondly the women, Here in Cali there seems to be more plastic here than in the DR and more indigenous women who generally lack curves but the surgery is more realistic here. In the Dr when they use surgery they ten to go overboard and it can look crazy especially when you see them at the mall with their children. But the women are far far far more user friendly in the DR than in Colombia. In the DR I never stepped foot in a Casa, There was no need. Once I found my footing I was picking up semis and "non pros" with ease. I fucked a fair amount of shop girls in Agora and Megacentro malls.
El Conde was like shooting fish in a barrel and the Malecon was an excellent hunting ground. I will say that Colombian Casa girls in smaller casas tend to be as or even more accomodating than a food court worker in Megacentro you can generally get multi nut sessions and CIP (if that's what you want) in an "independent" casa as you can in the DR. I think that Colombian hoes are more "regulated" I haven't seen "the look" in Chipichape Mall from a shopgirl but if a woman is willing to sell pussy I think that they're encouraged to rent out a space and take clients there as opposed to the more freewhelling DR where chicks make on the spot decisions to have sex for money. There isn't a Parque Independencia or even a Parque LLeras in Cali.
Then there's the middleman issue. In Cali it's almost impossible to get takeout (take in?) You either go to the Casa or pay waaaaay more to a cab driver wannabe pimp who will wait as you fuck. I never experienced that in the DR. If a girl "delivered" another girl I usually fucked the delivery girl too just to prove a point. I'm been here more than a month and I haven't had one girl offer up a friend.
My overall point is that by a month's time I was swimming in women in the DR here it's still somewhat touch and go. I'm not motivated to visit every casa to find those diamonds in the rough.
But I will say there's way more non mongering things to do in Cali than in Santo Domingo

General economics and the whine fests on several boards about how "entitled" sosua chicks are becoming made me think if Carty and Meddy is considered "better" than the Dr then more off the beaten path towns but even be better. On the occasions that I have used hotels in Santo Domingo / Santo Domingo este I have not had a problem the "girl friendly" either. The front desk usually makes a note, takes a copy of the ID of the girl I am with and we are on our way. I have not had any issues with charges. Furthermore the girls know the routine and have their idea and do not trip on the process. Now in Sousa (during the one trip I made there) they required the girl to actually leave their idea with the front desk. In Boca Chica it was the same routine. The girl just showing id and the front desk making a note of it.
I prefer cabanas and only save hotels for regulars visiting overnight from out of town.

I arrived at the airport in Santo Domingo yesterday. Before going down the last few steps to immigration, there was a line backed up. I figured it was for the random temperature check that they have been doing. A guy in uniform came down the line asking if people had vaccination certificates. People in front of me waved papers at him while saying yes. When he got to me I said no.
Mf. What was I thinking? I am not new around here. He told me to get out of that line and go to the line that was across from that for covid testing. There were like 4 people in line in front of me. Not that it was taking a long time, but the people in the temperature line were going to have the immigration line backed up by the time I finished this BS.
I thought on my feet, unlike when he first asked me. When a group of people came by, I just stepped to the right and blended in with them, walking to immigration. Fuck all that other BS. This is DR. So make sure you have some kind of paper to flash when you get asked.

An ambulance pulled up behind that car with the siren and lights on. I proceeded to pull up and ease over to the lane to my right. Every time I tried to ease over, the mf in that lane would pull up to block me from coming over, therefore not making way for the ambulance. These folks around here are so uncourteous and think of nobody but themselves.
Damn if Constanza does not have the most beautiful women that I have seen in DR. If it was not for going through all those damn mountains then I would go there more often. This is the non-pro that I was with.

Got in late last night. Flights were running on time, mostly. For those off you keeping track, Spirit is melting down this week so if you have a 'bare fare' booked you might be moved and cancelled. Slept poorly. Glad to see that the curfew is finally moving later and later. Talking to an acquaintance last night who was just in STI, sounds like it's masks and social distancing during the day and the clubs are rocking at night.

Language may or may not present a barrier while the decibel level certainly is.
