The question I get consistently asked that just irritates me is: "Who do do you live with?" I always want to reply: "Why are you asking / want to know that (word not allowed here)?Yup I get the same questions from chicas even when I tell them this is vacation and in a hotel. Sosua is built for mongering tourist. SD is a city built for Dominicans. Going to SD means you have to create your own good time. In Sosua the chicas chase you. SD requires you find and secure them. I flew in on Sunday and just left this Thursday.
Day 1.
After landing, I headed to my Airbnb. Uber drivers at the airport will keep sending you messages to ask more for money, which I found very annoying. Uber should do something about this. Hi all.
Just want to say Hi. People on other forums (Medellin, Havana) may recognize me. I have a trip booked to Medellin in May. For various reasons, which I will not bore you with, I'm just not feeling Medellin right now. I normally visit SEA, and I'm just not getting the same sense of anticipation. I've been to Cuba before (Havana, Santiago) but not in a mongering capacity. I love the music and the culture, but the cost of flights and the additional potential hassle (COVID test, Visa, meeting licence requirements) means Havana is a no-go for now. I live in Canada, but will be flying from TX, so better to wait until I fly from home to avoid some of the extra hassle of flying from the US.
DR was my third option. I can change my flights with United at no cost but the flights are not as good. Coming from TX means I have to get to EWR first, rather than going IAH-PTY-MDE. But small price to pay. Santo Domingo appears to be the only reasonable destination on DR with United, from a cost / flight perspective. But having started reading the thread, I'm getting that SEA excited vibe. I'm not looking for non-stop rotation of chicas and don't mind not having point and click P4 P, but P4 P is my main reason for visiting. With a COVID drought (other than a quick few days in Tijuana last year), just a few chicas will do during my 6-day trip, so I hope to utilize Tinder and Cupid to line up some options before hand, and keep the casas etc in my back pocket for emergencies.
I had thought about the bus trip to Sosua, but the flight times and extra hassle don't appear to make sense for such a short trip, even though I'm likely to have far more P4 P options when I am there. Correct me if I am wrong on the hassle / timing point!

The only thing DR has similar with SEA is maybe the weather and the mentality of the people (PI in particular). If you are going as a first timer, then Sosua is definitely your best bet.

Firstly, because I haven't been to either destination, and secondly because much of the reports and discussions appears to point to Medellin being the prime mongering destination at the moment. However, as I explained, it isn't the right fit for me at the moment. I didn't want to start a DR vs Medellin debate!
Still RTFF'ing but from what I can gather so far, SD with a side option of Boca Chica would appear to cater to what I'm looking for at the moment. After 2+ years of covid, some companionship with the occasional GBP trip would suit me just fine. I'm also conscious about starting a SD vs Sosua war as I'm wading my way through that fun topic around page 30 at the moment!
I look forward to learning more through RTFF and hopefully through some advice once I've formulated a tentative plan of attack.

I have been in the Dominican Republic last month, and my top rankings are:
1. Boca Chica, a nice small town with a nice beach and friendly hookers (many Haitians) every night on the Ave Duarte, 3000 DOP is the standard price.
2. Sosua, for me too many tourists and people around. Higher prices for everything (food, hotels, hookers). The hookers mostly prefer short time.
3. Santo Domingo. Big, but dirty city. I did not like it. Went to both strip clubs (Oasis, Foxys), but steep prices for beer, ladydrinks and sex ($100). GBP girl house was ok, shagged a young slim Dominican girl for 2500.
At Rebel Monger and at Mr Enternational: Could you summarize briefly why Medellin is so much better. Is it the lower costs for sex, the many options you have in Paysex, or are the women more beautiful or more friendly? The comparison with DR is not completely valid, as DR has many beaches and a Caribbean feeling, while Medellin is a big city. I noticed the Dominican women are very flirty and some enjoy sex. If my Spanish would be better, I could date more woman. I am planning to include Colombia in my next trip when they have abandoned all covid restrictions.

Flights are super cheap, and direct, from my US starting destination so there is significant benefit in flying there on the outbound flight. But I'm getting taxi quotes of over $100 USD. But somehow its only $30 or $40 from Sosua to SD? What gives?

I do not know where you are getting your quotes from, but definitely a lot more than $40 if one was to take a taxi from SD to Sosua. Hell the taxis want that much for the 20 minutes from the airport to SD. The 2 bus companies for the SD Sosua route are Metro and Caribe Tours.

Trying to work out if it's worth paying extra for a trip from PC to SD or whether I should suffer the pain of a long layover and 2 flights to SD. I'm thinking the former.
Punta Cana is a lot further from SD than Boca Chica. That explains the the difference in the taxi quotes you are getting. If you need to stay with private transportation there is also inDriver and Uber. But on the public transportation angle there is:

Full disclosure. I have never taken the bus on an intercity trip within the Dominican Republic. But I have seen their busses in route to Punta Cana and returning from the comfort of the Gran Jefe Mobile.

You may want to curtail your expectations. The only thing DR has similar with SEA is maybe the weather and the mentality of the people (PI in particular). If you are going as a first timer, then Sosua is definitely your best bet.As usual, I am going to offer an alternative view that Sosua is not your best bet. But I will agree that if you arrive with an open mind, low expectations and enjoy the Dominican Republic for what it has to offer (especially if mongering is not the only thing on your mind) then there is going to be nothing but upside. Remember many people writing up in here are long term visitors that have formed their opinions over years and they are just not going to change them.
Things have changed dramatically since I first traveled to Santo Domingo over 10 year ago and fucked two to three chicas a day without knowing a bit of Spanish. It is a lot easier now. With online dating apps and google translate, even without a command of Spanish you can have the Big Booty Delivery service in full effect using just your finger on the touch screen. With inDriver and Uber to transport you can simply have your pussy delivered to you hotel room or you can find a place near you hotel for the screening interviews before you take them to your hotel room.
So take all the advice offered and make your own decisions. In the end it is all about your personal preferences, what you enjoy and how you like to arrange you affairs.

Just want to say Hi. People on other forums (Medellin, Havana) may recognize me. I have a trip booked to Medellin in May. For various reasons, which I will not bore you with, I'm just not feeling Medellin right now. I normally visit SEA, and I'm just not getting the same sense of anticipation. I've been to Cuba before (Havana, Santiago) but not in a mongering capacity. I love the music and the culture, but the cost of flights and the additional potential hassle (COVID test, Visa, meeting licence requirements) means Havana is a no-go for now. I live in Canada, but will be flying from TX, so better to wait until I fly from home to avoid some of the extra hassle of flying from the US.
DR was my third option. I can change my flights with United at no cost but the flights are not as good. Coming from TX means I have to get to EWR first, rather than going IAH-PTY-MDE. But small price to pay. Santo Domingo appears to be the only reasonable destination on DR with United, from a cost / flight perspective. But having started reading the thread, I'm getting that SEA excited vibe. I'm not looking for non-stop rotation of chicas and don't mind not having point and click P4 P, but P4 P is my main reason for visiting. With a COVID drought (other than a quick few days in Tijuana last year), just a few chicas will do during my 6-day trip, so I hope to utilize Tinder and Cupid to line up some options before hand, and keep the casas etc in my back pocket for emergencies.
I had thought about the bus trip to Sosua, but the flight times and extra hassle don't appear to make sense for such a short trip, even though I'm likely to have far more P4 P options when I am there. Correct me if I am wrong on the hassle / timing point!

Different experiences for different people definitely. I have been going to Santo Domingo since 2010 and NEVER had one issue that affected my safety. I had three pick-pocketing attempts in Sosua. And twice, the police tried to shake me down. I NEVER have any issues in Santo Domingo, no matter the part of the city.
Also, I cannot keep the girls out of my apartment there. Fucking 2 or 3 girls a day is easy as sin in Santo Domingo. Too damn easy. Easiest city in Latin America (for me at least) to get whatever the heck I want (BBBJ, BBFS, CIM, CIP you name it). The capitaleas are not to be slept on. They have been fucking like it is going out of style.
You have to take the bus. Use APTRA or Bavaro Express on that route (PC SD). I do not know where you are getting your quotes from, but definitely a lot more than $40 if one was to take a taxi from SD to Sosua. Hell the taxis want that much for the 20 minutes from the airport to SD. The 2 bus companies for the SD Sosua route are Metro and Caribe Tours.Flag Runner, I been to SD 17 times. Also Sosua, Boca Chica, Juan Dolio, Cabarete, Samana and Santiago. Never to Punta Cana. I stayed 3 weeks in condo apartment towers located in Piantini. The condo was modern, clean, and well furnished with great wifi service. It was a blast having chicas in the condo, drinking, and having fun. Then kicked them all out when I was done. The front door security guy does cursory checks of the chicas. None were let up without my say-so. I hit up GBP several times, oasis to grab wassap numbers, Odette, and other popup places throughout the city. Does anyone have any insight on how to get most efficiently (I. E. Inexpensively) from Punta Cana to SD? Flights are super cheap, and direct, from my US starting destination so there is significant benefit in flying there on the outbound flight. But I'm getting taxi quotes of over $100 USD. But somehow its only $30 or $40 from Sosua to SD? What gives?From Europe too, direct flights are much cheaper to PC than SD (maybe 300 euros less). That's why I always land at PC, and rent a car. I know renting a car became expansive now but if you have the money, it's the best option to travel around the island (PC. La Romana. Boca Chica. SD - Santiago. Sosua, end then back. Roads are very good. As said before there is also the bus Express Bavaro which is the fastest to go to SD, as it has only one stop at La Romana Casa de Campo, ASAIR. These buses are very modern and clean. Be careful on the highway! They are desert and straight, so don't drive like a rocket as they are some mobile radar controls. I had one at 140 km / h, but as I lived many years in Africa, I was able to handle the situation smoothly.
I've been to PC 2 months ago, and I can tell you there are plenty of things to do, and a lot of chicas available for not so expansive as people say. Things have changed since few years. Background info: I'm from the USA, white guy (if that matters), I fly into Santiago, and will go to Santo Domingo also. I plan to visit one other place, maybe two. Whatever I can do with 2.5 weeks. Don't plan to rent a car (heard they have special tags that police target for bribes, and really, don't' want to worry, be responsible for, or think about a car) but take uber instead, they seem cheap enough there, unless there's good reason not to. New to the the are but not new to international traveling, third world countries, watching my back, etc. Know how to defend myself but prefer to have no reason to and avoid trouble / trouble areas. I speak decent Spanish, getting better but definitely not fluent. I'm not a flashy person, I know I will stick out like a sore thumb but don't plan on walking around with jewelry, a visible wallet, with my phone out, etc.
Obviously this forum is about mongering, I am not above this and it's a good back up plan but I plan on meeting some civilian girls I've been chatting and tinder and some other apps are popping for me pretty well. I like to gamble and the Casino / Merengue Bar set-up they had was really cool. There used to be some decent working girls at the bar you could get and just bring up to your room at Jaragua, plus some girls walking around the Casino. Be classy at the bar as there will be many normal Dominican couples there just to dance, don't treat the place like a strip club and be discreet about your business. The hotel will let you take up one or two girls a night, but after that they will give you the stink eye sometimes. At night don't walk anywhere outside the Colonial Zone. I was there on weekend trips, so I didn't meet up with any Dominican Cupid chicks, although I spoke to many online. It was easier to just hit the brothels during the day and pick up girls from the Casino at night and there is two brothels near Colonial Zone that had a few decent girls to choose from. I did most of my mongering there. At the bars, I didn't speak Spanish, so I found it hard to get anything going with normal girls, although it's easy to dance with them and maybe you could make something happen if you speak a little Spanish. I only hit the bars of the Colonial Zone up. Be prepared to be nickel and dimed to death everywhere you go. Everyone wants a tip or has a sick grandma that needs money. Also be smart bro, you have absolutely nothing to gain by fucking a Dominican dude up even if you are a dude who doesn't take shit in the USA. Either, you are going to get arrested and end up in a Dominican Jail or jumped or worse. If a Dominican is going to rob you, he's going to hit you from behind when you are not looking anyway. Be smart, stay safe, and keep yourself in line and you can't go wrong.

I traveled to SD este for a short 6-day visit. It rained most days. Stayed in Piantini in an upscale tower condo apartment. The place had Superstrong wifi, a washer and dryer and no loud music or parties at 1 am.

Yea, you got to cab it to the Colonial Zone from the Jaragua, but I really liked the Merengue Bar / Casino and actually next door in the big hotel there is a late night cocktail bar I picked up two girls at one time, didn't fuck them but we drank and danced together all night and only asked for cab fair at the end of the night. I stayed at one of the hotels in Zona Colonial for 3 nights and was informed that the toilets were not working and you have to throw your used toilet paper in the trash to not clog up the plumbing, yea not my style so I only stay at the nice hotels. Jaragua also has a sick ass gym and sauna. I've never been controlled by the police since 15 years. The only time I was stopped by a moto policeman was on the highway from Santo Domingo to Punta Cana: he had a radar and I was driving at 140 km / h instead of 110. I could see him from far away but was distracted: they are always in the shade under the highway bridges.

Just providing a simple report for my most recent travels. Ideally I would fly into POP airport and go into Sosua but I found a direct flight to SDQ for cheap and couldn't pass on it vs a long connecting flight for POP.

--Ultimately my destination is Sosua so how to get there?
Caribe Tours Bus Station: so the cost is $500 DOP for a ride to Sosua, which has stops in La Vega, Santiago, Puerto Plata and Sosua. The buses are actually pretty decent but be aware, I left at 11 am and didn't get to Sosua until about 4:30 pm so bring snacks, drinks and something to watch or listen to. You don't need a reservation but it helps to have one, you don't pay online it just keeps a space open for you but get there 30 min before.
TLDR: Casa Teresa is still top tier but it comes at a cost. Oasis is okay for when you are out of cash and only have a card. Check out the hidden spot and let me know how it is during peak hours. Don't be afraid of taking a bus to Sosua, although long it wasn't bad at all for 10 bucks.
Let me put some knowledge in the eyeholes of those interested. Two different enforcement agencies: AMET and Police National. AMET enforces traffic laws, Police National all other laws. Normally if you violate a traffic law within the detection of a AMET officer you will get stopped. This happens to me at least once a year. But I have never been given a ticket. Because I know how to handle myself during a traffic stop.
Even someone who has been visiting for 15 years does not have the level of driving experience and frequency to make a definitive statement on traffic enforcement in the Dominican Republic nor the risks. At least not the way I can, since I live here and unfortunately have to drive on almost a daily basis.
Driving in the Dominican Republic is no joke. And those in these forums that try to underplay the risks are misleading people. I do my best to minimize my driving in Republica Dominicana. And I know what I am doing. Take that as you wish.
Traffic enforcement has improved. There is talk of red light cameras and speed cameras being mounted and operated by subcontractors. There are more AMET officers on the roads today than when I first moved here. And there has been a big improvement of the professionalism of the AMET officers and in the police and military in general. As they have received several pay raises and the controlling legal authorities are cracking down on even petty correction by running stings against police that set up check points for motorists.
I might not be an expert on The Sue, but driving around the Dominican Republic. Yeah I know a little about that.

Casa Teresa: omggggg, this was Oasis on steroids. Steeper prices but the women, beds, club in general was more upscale. Immediately saw this cute little spinner, and got us a drink and we were sitting and she did the whole rub my meat with her hand as we were siting and I said, yep, lets go. Def worth the price of admission which was $140 for the room, my beer and a lady drink. I think its $110 for the room, beer was 10 but a lady drink is $20. Note: they only take cash no card.

Caribe Tours Bus Station: so the cost is $500 DOP for a ride to Sosua, which has stops in La Vega, Santiago, Puerto Plata and Sosua. The buses are actually pretty decent but be aware, I left at 11 am and didn't get to Sosua until about 4:30 pm so bring snacks, drinks and something to watch or listen to. You don't need a reservation but it helps to have one, you don't pay online it just keeps a space open for you but get there 30 min before.
TLDR: Casa Teresa is still top tier but it comes at a cost. Oasis is okay for when you are out of cash and only have a card. Check out the hidden spot and let me know how it is during peak hours. Don't be afraid of taking a bus to Sosua, although long it wasn't bad at all for 10 bucks.Great report! As I am actually here in SD, I figured I would expand on these notes. The "hidden club" appears to be Hotel Odette. Its right next to the map location for Aremsa with black gated bars in front. Odette had about 5 girls. Decent looking. Its a VERY chill place, definitely not like Oasis or Foxys. Prices are 6 K for 1 hour at the club. Includes room and chica. Chica gets 3 K of it. Or you can take her out for 2 hours for the same price. I would go back there for sure. Just not on a Sunday night. One chica said Monday night is the best night to visit.

Let me put some knowledge in the eyeholes of those interested. Two different enforcement agencies: AMET and Police National. AMET enforces traffic laws, Police National all other laws. Normally if you violate a traffic law within the detection of a AMET officer you will get stopped. This happens to me at least once a year. But I have never been given a ticket. Because I know how to handle myself during a traffic stop.
Even someone who has been visiting for 15 years does not have the level of driving experience and frequency to make a definitive statement on traffic enforcement in the Dominican Republic nor the risks. At least not the way I can, since I live here and unfortunately have to drive on almost a daily basis.
Driving in the Dominican Republic is no joke. And those in these forums that try to underplay the risks are misleading people. I do my best to minimize my driving in Republica Dominicana. And I know what I am doing. Take that as you wish.
Traffic enforcement has improved. There is talk of red light cameras and speed cameras being mounted and operated by subcontractors. There are more AMET officers on the roads today than when I first moved here. And there has been a big improvement of the professionalism of the AMET officers and in the police and military in general. As they have received several pay raises and the controlling legal authorities are cracking down on even petty correction by running stings against police that set up check points for motorists.
I might not be an expert on The Sue, but driving around the Dominican Republic. Yeah I know a little about that.I feel comfortable about driving in SD. The traffic is ok to me but the only reason I try not to drive is what happens in case of an accident. And the full coverage insurrance is expensive.

My bad experience at Oasis between Sosua and Puerto Plata (see: report) asked for consolation. So I went to GBP. First impression is that the place is smaller than I thought: it's just a small bar. The girls (5-6) are welcoming but not intrusive, however they are all overweight.
I hired a friendly Dominican for 2000 or 2500 DOP (I forget) who treated me very well.

The place is right next to Suite Colonial, on Street View you can see Hotel Odette Colonial.
I went there around 11 pm on a Saturday and there were 7-8 girls including 1-2 really fine and beautiful. When I asked the price I was told 120 usd. I said I wasn't paying that price, they offered me a discount but I left without even negotiating.

The colonial zone is not a neighborhood. The whole area is designed to attract tourists. We learned the hard Financial lesson.

Bathrooms in the Jaragua more modern as well. There used to be a sign in the bathroom at the Sheraton saying the water is non-potable. In the Jaragua there is no such sign, leading me to believe they have their own water processing. Maybe.

Please enlighten me.I didn't make my thinking clear there. The girl had asked for a "present," but didn't mention a specific figure. By not nailing down the exact figure, I left the door open for this gas surcharge (which could be significant nowadays with gas approaching $10 a gallon in parts of the US), and she hit me up for around 5,000 as I recall once I was already in the room, plus bad service (a CBJ.) Had I kept both eyes open and clarified her expected fee and services offered, I would have declined and avoided the lackluster session. That was the lesson.

Jaragua is the nicest hotel I have stayed within the Dominican Republic. Not for the "broke brothers" among us. Top of the line amenities for top of the line prices. I was there over two years ago. Before the VID panic. And all they did for my chica is take a copy of her cedula and sent us on our way. But Airbnb's are cheaper than any hotel that you'd want to stay in.
BUT.
If there's a Blackout or worse a brownout (daytime Blackout) a Hotel is way more likely to have back up generators whereas in an Airbnb you'd have to ask.
BUT.
Anyplace you're likely to stay will have backup generators AND be much less prone to Blackouts.
If you use dating apps generally the chick will be of age and it's nothing to meet in say a coffee shop or Colomado and check ID's before you bring her up.
A Hotel will have security but unless you're talking a 5 star place and a hefty tip They won't get too invovled in any dispute with a chica other than telling you to give the chica what she wants.
The nicer the Hotel the higher the chica price.

Have not stayed in a hotel in 8 years. SD airbnbs are a great value and can be found all over the city. I have become picky. I only book locations with a gym and pool. I have never had an issue with a internet girls so have never used building securitry. I little vetting goes a long way. Being in an airbnb makes me feel less like a tourist. You have to do what makes you comfortable. SD Uber servce is very good so I felt ok staying many locals.

I have found that certain owners of Airbnb's are rather cheap and furnish in a lowbrow fashion. I only need a kitchen for long stays and really not even for that. When I go on vacation I want to feel like tourist. I want to dine out. I don't want to go into a kitchen and cook. If I wanted to that I could have stayed home.
Certain Airbnb owners discriminate. I have had more than one listing showing available then have my booking denied and the time blocked out. I think I know why that occurred. So I booked for the next open time and my booking was denied again I got the message. So from that point one I have been like fuck Airbnb!
But if you can get the booking you like, then I love it. I agree with all the Trip the wrote in his post about Airbnb. And I appreciate balanced reporting over cheerleading.

In Santo Domingo I have told the owner this place could use 2 more pillows. This place could use a comforter. This place could use more towels. This microwave does not work. This shower leaks. This AC does not blow cold. And when I come back things are in the exact same condition.
I have told owners in other countries This place could use more towels. Brand new department store towels bought and delivered later that day. This internet is too slow. The people will not be able to come install new internet until Friday. Stayed in the same place the next month and there was new lightening speed internet. This microwave is not working. Brand new microwave arrived the next day. The water pressure in this shower is too low. Sent someone out to check it out and even talked about changing the shower head, but realized that pressure was par for the building.
If you are staying at big chain hotels like Marriott's Jaragua, then you know to expect comfort. If you are staying at mom and pop places then be ready for shit like not hot water, towels that should have been thrown out 5 years ago. Etc.

I never experienced the dreaded are word in the DR so I can't comment on that but the value in Airbnb is in long stays as a former superhost myself It's hard to keep and wash linen and towels so if you plan to stay for a multi month stay you'll buy your own towels and linen.

Etc.To keep it a stack you have to be extremely careful satying in a Mom and Pop Hotel in Africa for the reasons you stated. DR hotels that's used for weekend warrior fuck fests are extremely hit and miss, There's some Ok semi boutique gems in Zona Colonial but not many and most would rather you not bring in a slew of streetwalkers from El Conde.
If you want to stay in an affordable Hotel in Zona Colonial you might do better to bring randoms to a cabana of your choice and Some Cabanas will let you stay all night if you ask.
Just more options.

I would not choose to live in Santo Este. However there are Airbnbs in some of the best locations in SD. It takes 5 minutes to read reviews from other guests. These reviews are legit. For 70 bucks you can get appatment in a great location with everything you need. IMHO a comparable hotel will cost twice that.

Preface: First time flyer, first time flying international, no Spanish.
My goal was to land, get a SIM card, get 10,000 pesos, Uber to Airbnb, and call someone over. Here's how it ended up.
Started off having to drive 2 hours to my connecting flight so I don't miss it. Only to find out that flight got delayed in the end too and probably could have made it. Up to me landing in Santo Domingo, I was hitting 24 hours of no sleep and mentally drained from all the checks, clearances, and started getting hungry. 2 am - 12:32 pm.
Came out the terminal and spotted the Claro station. It was at this point that it dawned on me that I couldn't find my wallet. This one really got my survival instincts and blood pumping. The last time I remember seeing it was when I emptied my pockets going through metal detectors in the United States. I had $50 dollars in various bills for tipping purposes on me so for the sim with that.
Met this kid working at the phone place next to claro. He went above and beyond to help me and was the sole reason that I got out that place and reached my Airbnb. He studies English and was better than anyone I met so far in that place. Blew my mind that he was working customer service. Anyways, this was about 4 hours of brainstorming / and figuring out way to get cash from my phone since the main bank was closed on Sunday. Lucky me.
Thanks to his wifi access I was able to get a Uber after the 4th attempt using my main phone because I still had my card info connected to Uber. The idea was that I'll get to the high speed internet at my Airbnb, buy food with Uber eats, come back tomorrow to transfer money to a new bank account here so I can wire money through. Then comes the best part.
It's now around 5:30 pm. I reach my Airbnb. After some extensive use of my translator app. The clerk was able to lead me to my room and help me with anything I need. I ordered some food and was ready to take a shower and sleep. Started unpacking everything then ABRA FUCKING CADABRA my wallet ends up appearing in a random pouch compartment that I no memory or knowledge putting it in. (at the terminal, couldn't figure out why I had only my ID in my pocket when I took it out my wallet before the security check).
Best place to run day game in my opinion is Mega Centro. I personally know people that like Agora. Sambil. Worst place is Blue Mall. Bela Vista is not great either.
All of them have a food court, coffee shop, bar that serves drinks. We are talking regular pick up mode. You have game, language skills, dress nice.
Use the search function brother. People have written about Agora and Mega Centro in the forums. Remember to filter out the attitudes of the experienced people that spend more time expressing their opinion than providing useable intelligence for when you have "boots on the ground". I have read and digested Mr Enternational's criticism of the naïve gringo (me) who (according to Mr E) believes there are a horde of chicas looking for guys like me for paid sex. I am not actually naïve, nor inexperienced in the DR. I have been to Santo Domingo at least 50 times, always on business, and have a well-established pipeline of chicas I can tap into if I get lonely. I suggest you also try to visit oasis or foxis mainly to see the quality for girls that ask $100 for an hour. I went to Banco poplar, Bank reserves and BHD and all three turned me down to open a bank account. You need a 3 month bank statement, bank approval letter,500 usd, and a few other things. I was rejected because I'm over my 30 day tourist visa so I'm illegal.
I also went to the Honda dealership here in SD to buy the new Honda CR-V all cash, but I'm fucked until this other shit is resolved. They will sell me the vehicle and insurance but if I file a claim maybe the insurance won't pay because I'm illegal because of the visa. What to do.

Pension residency is very slow and a lot of paperwork is required. Everything needs to be correct some documents need to be translated some apostilled. I maintain that if I go out on a date with a woman and she asks me for money at the end of the date she is a pro. There are different types of pros, there are street walkers, brothel workers, escorts and those who do none of the aforementioned but meet guys socially and ask for money. If, as you have done, you offer her dinero even though she does not ask for money and she accepts, it would be unfair to regard her as a pro as she never asked for the cash.
