Mr E: it would be best if you stopped responding to my posts.There have always been the individuals that are quick to be critical. As a fellow man in the arena, I simply suggest that you ignore them. Remember, credit belongs to the actual man in the arena.
Many visitors here simply do not understand the nuances of the culture in the Dominican Republic. And no amount of explaining is going to change this. Remember most posting here are giving their opinions. There is very little real actionable intelligence to be had. I read about a lot of stuff that I never see or experience while I am here. That is why my post count stays low.
The real value of ISG to me has been exchanges via private messages that I have led to fruitful relationship where mutual respect is the foundation.
Here are some of my proven and tried spots to visit in Santo Domingo. If you are scared to leave the hotel maybe this info is not for you. It's for the adventurous guys who aren't scared to venture out and soak up the culture.
El Conde is a great starting point to hangout and people watch. The cigar shop by the park (parque Colon) is great to scope the honeys or order some food from the restaurants nearby. Pacos, Onos, and petras are nice spots. Even walking around Zona colonial you will discover some of the mom and pop spots.
Clubs: Onos, Venezuela, Spartas, Mixer etc.
Parks: Colon park is the best to hangout at the end of conde.
Cervantes near Napolitano is great for the local culture.
Espana is also great place to have lunch.
Casas: Oasis, Foxys, flash dancer and about 5 others I can't name. Oh, GBP.
For music, drinks and some nice working girls try the Jaragua. There was a discussion here a while ago about the girls entry fee to the hotel rooms at Jaragua. My understanding is that a tourist and his wife were returning to the hotel and security stopped her and gave her a hard time. Well the woman was a Marriot executive and she raised hell. After her issue they relaxed the policy but please don't run up in there with 2 or 3 raggedy street tricks and have an incident. The girls working the casino and the bar are your best bet as they won't get harassed by security.
Skoka and a few new Venezuelan casas round out the lineup.
There is a nice cigar shop at Santiago and Pasture that I highly recommend. On Mercedes it's a new heath food spot run by Rastas that doesn't open till 7 pm wed-Sunday.
Get indriver app on your phone, fuck Uber. Uber drivers change the price too much for me. Catch indriver to Agora mall for 150-200 pesos and have yourself a wrap from green bowl and checkout the ladies. A Greenbowl is also in Sambil. Go to Mega central for the hood rats. Go to Blue mall for the stuck up girls. Ride the subway, and feel the culture.

The wise use of tipping can get you a lot of "prompt service" anywhere, but a tip left at the end of a meal, or at the end of a stay in a hotel, is only productive if you intend to go back soon, or you are a regular customer. Otherwise it's just a nice surprise "thank you" from an anonymous source.
As an expat, I have a routine where I mostly use the same domestic staff, bars, restaurants, dedicated moto and publico divers, so they anticipate my propina, and pay more attention to, and even prioritize my needs. I get the extra towels, water dispenser filled without asking, on time pick ups and drop offs, errands, undocumented friends pass the security guy, etc. And the perk of running a tab at my favorite places, to be paid when it's convenient for me.
I learned a lot from my regular who can send her guy out for an onion, garlic, stuff she's cooking, even a fresh chicken, and my glasses to be repaired at the Optica, and stuff she needs from the pharmacia.
I don't go overboard, but my regular propina adds up over the weeks and months, and keeps the folks around me happy, reliable, and interested in my well being.

Momma is funny to me because something's she just won't change for. We used to argue about keeping chicken or eggs out at night and not put them in the frig. I would put them in the frig and she would take them out so I gave up and let her have it her way, but I don't eat chicken that has been set out.That depends on how the egg was processed after it was harvested. In the USA I think most of them have to be refrigerated because of some chemicals they spray on them after washing. In most other countries they do not wash them so do not need to use that chemical on there, instead letting the natural enzyme stay on and do not need refrigeration. Food is refrigerated to slow the bacteria growth.
Last year when I was in Colombia I saw this chick pull margarine from the cabinet. I was like what the hell. Then when I went to the grocery store I saw a pallet of margarine sitting out that was not refrigerated. You learn a lot of stuff traveling that is different from how you were raised that you may not otherwise have ever known.

For the women, food and drink are the additional incentives although there are quite a few women, who do not care about an alcoholic drink, especially the visitors in the mornings. The doggy bag can be an useful and much appreciated gratuity with the motoconcho fellows, my recent discovery.

If you need my advice on where to find girls here it is:
I find almost all of mine on Tinder and Tagged. If I want a hardcore professional I use Skokka or I goto a casa. I also meet meet girls that I like in person in malls mostly. But sometime in campo.

Amazing what happens to people when they get a little money in their bank account. Because the current line up of stores have changed dramatically from when I first moved to Santo Domingo este. And it is an excellent spot to make one stop to take care of things both business and personal. And for everyone's information the final stop on the Metro at this point in Santo Domingo este is at Mega Centro.
There is a new Nacional Supermarket going on San Vicente right down the street from Mega Centro. Opens on July 20th. For those interested, Nacional is the equivalent of Whole Foods (expensive) here in the Dominican Republic. So, much for the idea that Santo Domingo este is less affluent. Within waking distance of the new Nacional Supermarket is a building going up where the apartments start at 149,999 USD. That is right gentlemen USD. Immerse yourself in the culture. LOL!
Greenbowl is also located in Galeria 360. A very interesting mall that seems to have many girls with both money and children. It is a regular stop for me. I usually avoid Agora because it really is not on my route often. I can take care of all I need to at Galeria 360 while hitting two other of my favorite stores both before and after.
Those of use who live here are immersed in the culture on a daily basis. If you are here for just a short time your focus should be on your personal objectives not the desires of the "Mr. Brothers". LOL! But if you want to enjoy the culture, make sure you roam about with your head on a swivel. Keep yourself safe. Do not flash your things of value or your cell phone. Learn the language. That is what will get you the best overall experience during your visits here.

I think you appreciate that. Your regular contacts know they you are not going to "negotiate" every purchase you make, or complain about the bill. It's always the usual deal. And you share your take out, just like the locals do.
Street, beach or bars, I get no touts approaching me, although they may bug my visiting friend. Seems like they can smell new money. LOL.
One of the perks I get is ice cold beer at the places I frequent, even when the power goes down. They sell the warmer stuff to the tourists. Sometimes they want to know why mine is cold, and argue with the bar chica.
The freedom to not have carry cash all the time, for bar tabs, motos, street food, local tienda for milk, eggs is liberating, especially on the weekends, when they are lined up at the banks, and sometimes broken ATMs. If I get a new moto driver, I'll just get the change to pay him from the bar or restaurant he drops me off at. (a word of caution for the critics. Not required, but I always sign my tab before I leave it. No surprises or rip offs when I eventually pay it).
"Manana" is a magic word, for a stress free life.
Mutual trust and respect takes time to estabish down here, but I'm treated more like a local, than most visitors / expats. Being with with my regular of 7 years helps with that.
Same with the other occasional chicas I fuck. Never need to "negotiate" (hate that word, doesn't mix with good sex) I just pay them what I can afford, without offending them, depending on how well the session went.
I like an occasional pizza. The best right now in Sosua, are Pirates Bay, then Cheers, then Bailies. Just don't leave a half eaten one sitting on the kitchen counter overnight! LOL.
So I went to the grocery store Ol today. I didn't have any small pesos so the bagger took out 5 pesos from his tip stash and gave it to the cashier so she could make change. So the 5 pesos were on my behalf. Interesting. Out in the parking lot I was arranging my bags to leave (as I was walking) and out came the bagger with a bag of carrots that I had forgot. It was a kind gesture. When I received my change I had two 25 peso coins. So I gave him one.
Paid 16 pesos for the carrots. So if I left without them I would have lost my 16 pesos and my carrots. The bagger gave me 5 pesos. I gave him 25 pesos.
So, that was a net of 20 pesos in his favor. Win / Win deal for us both. Now I didn't have to give him anything. But that would have made me like the cheap guys posting up in here complaining about tipping. I shop in that store at least once a week. So, 20 pesos for a little good will. Yes that was worth it. Those that just visit or talk from a half a world away do not understand that.
Another story, I always make sure to tip the colmado delivery guys when they bring a package to my residence: 10 to 20 pesos. Bad behavior by visitors is to be expected. But they are also and often targets for poor service as illustrated by Oakie's post. I can attest to this directly. When I was in Sosua and given bad prices I challenged them and explained I lived in the Dominican Republic and was just visiting from down south. They always lowered the prices. After nearly four weeks of going to the same places I never experienced that problem after about the first week of being there. But I did notice that the business owners who were not Dominican did not pull those same tricks on me. Ever!
I also found lots of girls in Sosua willing to provide social / sexual services. They were everywhere. The were on the street. They had jobs. They were online. And they were all willing to fuck for money. I hope this helps out the individuals looking for more information on how to have sex with girls. And I hope they take the time to share how they find girls in the Dominican Republic.

I would say that that outside bar in Plaza Espana is perfect for a sundower while watching the boats leave for Puerto Rico.
You can have a great short trip just by staying in the Zone.

Agora Mall was on my route compared to Blue Mall the food is mainly fast food and Chef Pepper and gourmet Pizza shops. Because I was ther so often I fucked more Agora Mall Shopgirls than anywhere else.
Mega Centro food court is ground center for action, Being slightly bigger and less intimate is an issue but I think I pulled more shoppers out of Megacentro than anywhere else. The only downside is I had a Moto attempt to charge me a fortune to ferry an off duty wendy's employee to my house. Pro tip use the subway to get out of Megacentro even if you live no where near a subway harder to get a decent cab from there.
Galleria has everything. There's sports shops in the Mall itself and speciality sports shops around the corner. There's a decent crossfit box there too charging almost what Crossfit boxes cost in the states. They're maybe pussy avialible there but I didn't see any doublestuffed store bought asses there. I usually aviod botched surgery chicks myself but having them in the vincinity indicates that other less obvious girls are availble.
Sambill Mall is almost walking distance from Zona Colonial again never picked up from there but they have a decent grocery store.

I am almost a week into my Boca Chica trip and decided to go across to Santo Domingo. Discovered that there is a bus that does that so headed to that street that's close to being perpendicular to Banco Popular on Duarte and hopped on. A/c bus with 5 people on board and I envisioned a good trip but that was not to be. After about 10 minutes of driving the bus stops at some depot and we have to change vehicles. Got on to another bus that filled up fast, needless to say a guy who's bigger than me sits next to me and it was squashville for the next hour or so.
So I fooled around in the city for a bit eyeballing some Dominicanas, some of whom eyeballed me back and some of those with a smile. Had lunch then fooled around again and thought I should see what GBP has to offer before heading back. I was the first gent in the place and was greeted by three chicas none of whom whetted my appetite. Lauren was the best of them. Chatted her up in my broken Spanglish with no intention of habitacion arriba. Two other girls then entered the place and I thought this is getting rediculous; do guys go with these girls?
Then in walks a familiar face (my last visit was 8 years ago). She changes and enters and I call her over. What's your name? Sol. Did I meet you 8 years ago? No I only recently started here. This trip is from early Summer. Unfortunately it took me some time to post but trust the notes were written in the midst of the trip. I hope you all find value from it. Thanks for the tips and notes I found through the archives.
Day One.
I landed in Santo Domingo at roughly 5 am. I was only going to be on the ground for 2. 5 days (A professional weekend warrior) so I had to make the most out of it.
Fortunately for me, despite all the stories, my Uber driver didn't play any games at arrival. From the airport to the Hilton Embassy Suites costed me roughly $800 DOP ($15); 30 min commute.
I stay at the Embassy Suites at $140 a night. I'm a diamond member, so for me, it was about leveraging my status for a room upgrade, free breakfast, etc. The hotel is better than the typical Embassy by Hilton you see stateside. I was also allowed to check-in immediately which was super early.
While at breakfast, I immediately started continuing conversations to finalize a meeting. Of all the dating apps, and sites I had used. Chica Rivas was the most responsive.
What I found off putting was it seemed to be the norm for the chica to want a "deposit" for taxi or some funds for like clothing. I declined all of those.

If one shows at or before 10 am, great. If not, I'm pretty happy with a morning workout and a great breakfast. I'll do a little sightseeing after that. For me, something at 10 ish, around 3-4 pm and another at 10 pm (if I have the energy) is good. If it's two chicas per day, then its two.

Going to bless Old Kool's new thread with part of my report.
1 day before going to Santo Domingo I started talking to this chick on Cupid on the 25th. I acted like I was already in Gascue. She said that she works in Gascue and told me to pick her up from work at 4 pm on the 26th. I landed in Punta Cana at 1 pm and was going to have plenty of time to make it to Gascuse by 4. Went to Budget with my $210 reservation. Why this mf tell me the price would be $321? Talking about taxes. I said first of all taxes are clearly included in this. And if it was not where is anybody paying $111 taxes to rent a car for 3 days? We went back and forth and I showed my ass in front of a line that had formed behind me. He finally did whatever and made the price $221. I said okay but I will let them hear about this when I get to Santo Domingo. I signed the paper, but wrote a note next to it that I did not agree with that price being different from my reservation. He took that paper away and printed out another one saying I could not write anything on it. I said fuck that then. Cancel the reservation. And what is your name? I have been renting cars there for too many years and there always seems to be some bullshit.
So I went across to Nelly. I am no fool. I know how these Dominican car rental franchises are so I make reservations at both places. I told the girl I am here for my car. Now her ass tries the same bullshit. Tells me $345 for 3 days. How when this reservation says $219 bih? She said taxes. I blew the fuck up. You better fix that shit because right here at the bottom of this reservation it says ITBIS $28.19. And ITBIS is what bih? Damn right. The taxes! She finally made it right and told me to wait outside for her to bring the car from the back.
Why was I waiting out there like 30 minutes for her to bring the car? I am telling you. Then she brought the mf and the radio was not worth a shit. Knob was off and I could not hook my tablet and phone up to it like I usually do because the selector would not go to Aux. So off I went anyway.
Drove past Higuey flying. Dude I have never seen so many speed traps in DR before. The government is really trying to rake in some money. Then one pair of cops finally clocked me. The one with the radar gun tried to flag me over but I acted like I didn't see him. A few KMs down the road some other dudes clocked me but they jumped out in the highway to stop me. So it was either stop or run them over. I pulled over.
I know how to handle these guys. They started speaking to me in Spanish but I looked confused as shit and only spoke English to them. I could make out the sergeant saying to give him my license. So I gave my Thailand license as usual. That really throws their ass off. He could not figure it so he asked for my passport. I had to get out and get it out of the trunk. I gave it to him but I kept speaking in English and not understanding what he was saying in Spanish. Then this mf broke out the google translator app on his phone. Got damn! After all these years of fucking with these Dominican cops my ways have been ruined by a cell phone app.
So he was saying that I was going 118 in a 100. I played dumb and said I didn't see any signs. He said there is a sign every 2 km from the toll booth. He asked where I was going and I said I was going to the airport in Santo Domingo. He said oh you are leaving? I said yeah I am in a hurry to catch this flight. He said okay man. It is cool. But could you just give me a little something to get something to eat. I thought damn I got 750 pesos in the car and can not remember if there is another toll booth ahead and how much it costs. So I said yeah man I got you. I went back in the car and got 200 pesos out and gave it to him. 100 for each guy. They act like they had won the lotto. They gave my documents back and dapped me up and told me to have a good flight.
My first time paying off some Dominican cops! I have seen dudes talk about giving them 1000 and more pesos. Damn that shit. Start low. They are happy to get anything. Wish I would have thought to take a picture with those guys.
Now I am for sure going to be late picking old girl up. It was 4 pm when I reached Boca Chica. I video called her while driving saying I would be an hour late. She said okay. She would just wait at work. Then when I finally got downtown there was so much traffic that the GPS was saying it would be another 30 minutes to her job. I sent her a message and she was fine. So I booked an air be&be in Santo Domingo after 30 ish hours I decided to leave.
1st reason when I was got to the air be&be I couldn't fill in the passcode to the door to get in and the guy next door looked drunk or just hella weird came up to my door started speaking pensive Spanish to me couldn't figure out what he was saying than was staying behind me while I tried to get into my air&be was scared he knew my code.
(p. S) no safe in it but it was in a good area over 1400 $ Talked them down from 1800 $ you can ask them for a special offer.
2nd reason was no safe for my passport and my money or credit cards wasn't worth the risk to lose all that especially when you know a guy was watching you trying to get into your place and you couldn't get rid of him.
So line a day half later I texted my host I don't want to stay here cause I don't feel safe cause the dude next door watched me type in password and they were out of town for the long holiday weekend prob couldn't change it for few days and didn't want to go out to just have my shit raided she had no problem I had to pay for one extra night demand by air be&be which was cool so I'm out 100 ish dollar instead of all my cash passport and credit cards.
She had no problem with me canceling like a day into my trip when she was expected to me make 1400 $ and left me a great review I did leave the place clean and did take some videos of the place in case she tried to say different but that was never needed.
One problem I did have was when I came back after dinner at restaurant around 8 pm I was catching everyone eyes walking in the middle of Santo Domingo during sun down even people across were staring me down and when I got to my air be&be the Apartment front door was locked and the guard was doing rounds so I had to stand outside until he was back which wasn't to fun when you can feel the tension on you.

1800 $ was the original price in Canadian dollar I was staying for 21 days got it for 66 $ Canadian with Airbnb fees cleaning fees and the room per a night basically it was a dope pad with gym / security / pool etc I thought it was reasonable and basically the same price per a night you paid in usd and honestly I was paranoid he got in the elevator and show me come to my door and got right out and didn't leave until he watched me punch in the code I had 100,000 pesos on me my passport and my credit card and I'm 23 years old and the hallways had no cameras so if it got stolen it was to bad to sad if there was a safe with a key or my own code I couldn't care what got stolen as long as I have few bucks to the airport and my passport the air port so strict my my Dominican friend with a German passport came with us for a high school trip known him for 10 plus years and they thought he was tryna sneak out of Punta Cana with German passport we all made a scene before the trip leader had to confirm he was apart of the trip and barley caught our flight I'the rather be safe than sorry.

I flew into Punta Cana and spent a couple of days in Higuey. I decided to use Enterprise instead of Avis for the rental car because of the price but afterwards I realized it wasn't a difference. There was some noticeable electrical damage from hurricane Ian in the city but no major issues during my stay.
Drove to StoDom and did the speed limit on Coral Highway. Rented an Airbnb in Distrito Nacional. I chose this location thinking the morning traffic would be quieter. It was however, a new condo was being constructed adjacent to the building so instead of traffic noise I got construction noise. I emailed the owner prior to my arrival to possibly enter the condo early. After going back and forth and getting nowhere, I just arrived at the scheduled time. The condo was nice though limited on supplies.
I mostly relaxed during the day and visited some friends. I visited Zona Colonial a couple of times in the afternoons. A few people hanging out but I didn't spend much time people watching. I did notice that the police were randomly stopping cars passing in front of Grands and all the hassle that comes with it. I avoided that area and parked on a side street.
Went to see Jasmine a few times in the evenings. The quality wasn't great but something to do.
I stopped by Foxys and the place next door one night. It was a fun environment but not economical for me.
Went to see a buddy in Boca Chica during the week. Had a good time hanging out during the day. Some fun sights and good times.

I am not into casas, but almost every cab driver will try to take you to Casa Theresa (the drivers get a commission). I have been there a few times and found it to be much higher quality than GBP. It has a bar where you can sit and drink, but is is essentially a brothel. It isn't discussed here so much because the cost is somewhere on the order of 5-6000 DOP for short time. GBP gets discussed a lot here because it is inexpensive; GBP is a brothel, not a bar. There were (and probably still are) a couple of brothels around Ortega why Gasset or Av Pasteur, not so far from the malecon. Of course, you can always pick up a streetwalker on the malecon and go to a motel for sex. The chicas on the malecon are mostly chubby and ugly but about 10% are actually quite cute.

Was in Santo Domingo for a quick little weekend trip. There were cheap spirit flights from FLL - SDQ for 192. The times for the flights were awful. I arrived around 3 am on Saturday and flew back out 4 am Monday morning. Typing this from my personal laptop at work hungover haha. If I had to go (and I used to live at Agora Mall) the only way to go is the Metro. I think the reason people don't use it is because it doesn't go to Zona Colonial, but even then a Guagua or publico will take you to Duarte and I used to walk to El Conde from there.

I think Enternational's advice to use Skokka might make sense except that I haven't had a lot of luck using random escort ads. All the hotties seemed to be "recien llegada de Colombia." Based on that there's probably a good chance the woman who shows up at your hotel won't be the one in the ad. I figured secretescortsdr.com might be different, given some favorable reports here, but I guess I won't find out.

The Jaragua btw has sucked for women so far. I'm staying at the hotel and have been wandering in and out of the casino. I haven't seen anyone worth doing yet. It's a nice hotel though. The breakfast is great. I was able to bring my date back but she had to register and it was a wicked walk of shame.
