After some casa closes, some girls go in or around Copa disco. Girls from casa Azul, Girls House and independent chicas told me on my May trip that it is their favorite spot the get some free drinks or extra money from the guys. Best time is 2 to 5 am. Quality is not guaranteed anywhere.

I was also wondering what were the top mongering venues in SDQ for QUALITY. I am not much of a "casa" person. I prefer bars/discos and "picking up" a girl. I am more interested in looks/services rather than price, although I speak enough spanish to negotiate a better price than what's usually asked by the chica.

From reading the board, I narrowed the following to be my best options:
-Jaragua
-Coppa Disco
-Bar 360
-Penthouse
-???

Any other recommendations for quality?

Thanks,

Bijou

Bijou you saved a few bucks on a cab and blown a hundred bucks on your best options. Seriously, if you feel these are the best places to go don't come to Santo Domingo. Have you considered Sosua? Sosua may be more to your liking.

Bar 360, Baby Dolls, Foxys, GBP, Penthouse, sky house, girl's house are brothels. Coppa Disco is a normal discoteca (with some rich people who drink there), that has some working girls who hang out there. Bar Atarazana 9 in Zona Colonial is a smallish bar that sometimes has discreet working girls, as well as normal customers. Foxys may have the best talent, but the prices for chicas in Foxy's is very high. There is also the place past the malecon center, with blonde hair international chicas with silicone, most members on this board don't recommend that place.

On my last trip I wanted to check out the bar near UNIBE (the medical school) chicas who study medicine in sdq hang out there, I was not able to visit that bar my last trip, but could be a place to try and meet some chicas.

GBP is fun (1500 short time on site, I was quoted 2000 for a happy hour, short time). Helpmann recommends Casa Australia (on my next trip I'll visit casa australia), you may want to check that place out as well and if you don't see what you like speak to the Manager Australia and maybe she can get what you are looking for.

Penthouse has a decent lineup, some tall shapely dominicanas, as well a few shortys. Penthouse had no other clients when I visited, I doubt many tourists venture to it. If you go to Penthouse, close by is coconut bar (avenida privada, 75 feet north of ave 27 de febrero, on the east side of avenida privada) is about two blocks away, you can stop there for a beer, while you are in the neighborhood, coconut bar had around 4 chicas, one skinny light skin chica, one skinny tall morena and two others, they are moving soon to a new location.

Look at the map Boricuaonline made, there is a lot of information, regarding bars and discotecas.

If you want to see photos of the higher end discos and bars, go to bufeo.com or bonche.com. Praia, Amika, LED are among the higher end bars in sdq.

There are small buses that go to Boca Chica and Juan Dolio, fare is between 100 to 200 pesos. I know some of the buses that go east, stop on Avenida mexico near zona colonial, others stop near Park Independencia near Avenida Independencia, you may want to ask someone at Hotel Riazor for the best way to get Juan Dolio, or ask a friendly taxi driver, or play the lost sheep routine and ask a pretty girl on the street for directions. You should be able to get to Juan Dolio on a small bus for 200 pesos or less. If you go to Juan Dolio, check out Ilusiones, they had one sexy chica there and 4 other chicas. Also some working girls may play pool in one bar that sits across the street from the public beach in Juan Dolio.

Thanks to all of you that provided info on taxi fares. The idea of going back up to the departures and getting a taxi that just dropped off someone to get a better fare is a tried and true strategy that has worked well for me in COL and in PTY. One more question regarding taxi/transportation: Without renting a car, what is the best way to get to and back from Duan Dolio and the beaches?

I was also wondering what were the top mongering venues in SDQ for QUALITY. I am not much of a "casa" person. I prefer bars/discos and "picking up" a girl. BQ Ribs, I couldn't tell from your post if you were indicating that the quality/services doesn't really vary in the venues in SDQ and that I could get the same quality, but cheaper in other venues (or that there is better quality in Sosua), or if those venues are just ridiculously overpriced to justify the difference in quality. Please clarify. (I've already made my plans for SDQ so I can't change them to Sosua-- maybe next trip).

If you speak any Spanish, go upstairs when you leave the customs area at the SDQ airport. Take the elevator to your left. Go outside at arrivals and ask the arriving taxistas for a ride back to town. They're not supposed to take you but business is business and you'll never have to pay more than $15-20.This is a good idea. if you're accomodated in zone colonial or it's neighbourhood here's another solution. It's what i do every time i go to repdom. Outside the airport, on the right, at a short distance, under a tree, you'll find motos-taxis than can take you to the autopista (2 mn ). at the autopista, you cross the highway and wait for a guagua (bus) that take you in one hour to zona colonial (el parque Enriquillo). there you walk to you hotel (30 mn ) Cost less than 5$. you cannot beat that unless you hitch hike (dont try that).

The first 4 COULD work, but they would need to be unlocked. Unlocked means you can use the phone on any compatible network. There are storefronts all over the place that will unlock a phone for $20 to $30, but that's a waste of time and money since you could buy an Orange or Claro phone for that much money. To check whether the phone you have are unlocked, switch the SIM card that works in the phone with a SIM card of another network. If it works, your phone is unlocked, if you get an error message or "emergency calls only" the phone is locked to only work on a certain network. See unlockitnow.com for more information.

Prepaids from outside will not work in DR. You can buy a real cheap one down there. Also, be real careful using a cell phone with a plan down there. Real expensive, about $2 a minute.

Samsung SCH-R450 - Metro PCSVerizon is no longer in Dom Rep, Verizon sold the unit and it is now owned by Codetel which operates Claro wireless. I have brought to the Dominican Republic several verizon prepaid samsung sch u340 cell phones and had them unlocked and then programmed to work with claro. I gave an ex girlfriend a prepaid AT&T motorola razr from the states, which she told me she had unlocked and then programmed to use on Claro.

I tried to get a virgin atlantic lg aloha prepaid cell phone unlocked and programmed to work in Dominican Republic and I was told by two different cell phone places there, that they did not have the codes to unlock that particular phone, probably because it was not a very popular model.

My current gf there recently bought a cell phone to use with claro for 150 pesos, with some minutes already on the phone.

If you want to try prepaid cell phones from here, probably best to stick with AT&T and Verizon models (the more popular models, usually the better) cell phone shops in the dom rep, have the codes to unlock many cell phones from here and thereafter program them to use with claro or orange. I believe AT&T cell phones use sim cards.

I believe Gpiper may have been asking about bringing in prepaid cell phones and getting them unlocked and then activated with a dominican cell phone number to use on claro or orange.

Quality is in the eye of the beholder, some guys like dark haitiana chicas, some guys want chicas with big boobs, other guys like light skin chicas, other guys want some good chemistry with the chica and looks are secondary. SDQ has a variety. Lineups change in many bars, so sometimes it is hit or miss at certain venues. GBP, the times I have been there had the same lineup. Bar 360, I was at twice and the second time I was there the lineup was different. Visit the different places and I am sure you will find something that turns you on.

Samsung SCH-R450 - Metro PCSAs an aside, the prepaid phones they sell at Walmart are usually cheap, from 10 dollars and up (you can also buy reconditioned cell phones at the site for AT&T fairly cheap). I bought several samsung sch-u340 prepaid verizon cell phones at walmart for 20 dollars. A maid in one hotel offered to buy one from me for 40 dollars, I was told that particular phone costs more than 50 dollars in Dom Rep. You can always use a 20 dollar cell phone, that costs 50 dollars in Dom Rep to barter for sex. The chica thinks she is getting a 50 dollar gift for her services, when it only cost you 20 dollars.

I like having two of the same kind of cell phones in Dom Rep, one I just keep plugged in, so that I always have a fresh battery to swap into the phone that I use.

Have you considered Sosua? I think Sosua is one hundred times better for a first trip. I love Santo Domingo but I don't go just for the P4P. To go to Sosua you would need to fly into Puerto Plata (POP). If you can only find flights into Santo Domingo you can catch a bus to Sosua.

Hopefully someone else on this board will share their thoughtss.

Well, I'm here. Got in yesterday at 5:45ish, between customs and picking up the rental I was at BAR 360 by 7PM. I was there until about 2:30AM catching up with my buddy, drinking beer (lots of beer) getting to know the girls. Finally went for Jenny, fantastic girl, great attitude, great service and the tighest toto I've had in a while. (I don't see how they can be in this business and still have it tight like that).

Well I can't complain about the prices (I'm getting the good friend discount) but I am having conversations with him in this regards.

The strange thing that I noticed while there. He has his tourists coming in and paying the prices asked, but over the night I saw 2 dominicans drop about 3,000 pesos in liquor alone, buying drinks for the girls, etc. But they never went with a girl??? His prices for liquor are slightly inflated than a normal bar, so why would a local drink there?

Anyway, I had a good night and I will be there again tonight. Offer still stands for beers call me if anyone is in country, my phone is 1-809-458-4246

Landed at 12:30 on August 6th. Got a room with reward points at the Jaragua ( I know! It was free however) But made reservations with Marco just in case at the Mystic. Very Clean considering the location and good people. Only issue is the little sho shine boys hustling you. I almost got a charge if it was not for Marco telling them to leave me alone.

Funny did not have to look for any company. Got gobbled up at 1:00 by a sweet eryka badu looking chick in the Casino. Hung with her until check in at 3:00. I don't know how she did it but at 4:30 she was knocking at my door. I love the Garden Suites.

You are NOT supposed to pay them over RD1500, you are supposed to pay them RD1000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We all think different. I can't see paying RD3000 for a #10 chica when a #6 or a #7 may very well provide better service. Hell, I have had some #5s give the best service on planet earth.

If you want the super stars try Foxys or I believe Doll House. I have never been to either because I don't care how good looking the girl is I am not willing to pay RD3500.

By the way, Taxi Dave is doing well in Asia. I last heard from him a couple of years ago.

I told her I would be back in an hour. I drove around the corner to I believe it was Calle Moca. I found a nice colmado and drank me a cold Prez. I ordered a grande to go and went back to get my chica of the day.

No doubt I will return, and sooooon!

One more thing, when I got back to the casa Australia greets me outside and holds my hand when we walk in like I some little kid she doesn't want to get lost. Australia is the type of person that can make you feel comfortable as soon as you meet her.

I know im about to start a board war. However, I need some opinions about prices.

At most bars from Lapsus,Laprada, Girls House, etcc etc.. I can not get anyone to go for less than 2,500. At a Massagem,GDP CoCos ( I broke down and went back. Was dicey area but fine Ass Chicas) I can get from 1500-2000. Street I can get from 500-1000. Only spot I could not get the chica down was Foxy's and 360. 360 and Foxy's girsl were not better looking but were drastically overpirced. I had one in 360 that flat out asked me for 300US. After I stopped laughing I got in my car and left.

What you guys think of my pricing structure. I know im paying way more than I would have if I had went to Sousua and Perto Plata. I just want to make sure im in the Market.

Other note: I am taking this rental car back. My boys from NY got in an accicdent and the Car company charged thier credit card for the price of the automobile. Saying that their insureance did not cover the car. WTF? They said that they had to see the police report where it explicitly says the driver was at fault. Thats some BS.

You. And the unlucky renters. Should ask about the credit they used, and what the terms of the car rental insurance protection is. And whether there is such protection. And if there is such protection, whether that protection applies to the Dominican Republic. Some card companies limit the protection based on the number of days the car is rented, or the time of year. You have confirm all of the terms and conditions and you shouldn't assume the terms and conditions don't change from month to month. Sorry to hear about what happened. In case you haven't already, you should get your friends to dispute the charge. If nothing else, it could give them more time to pay the fee before the interest starts to kick in.

funny as hell. you know how to have an adventure bro.

arrived sdq noon thursday 23rd. after getting luggage they have this long runway with people on both sides waiting. its the closest i'll get to being a celebrity. at the end of the runway i saw a guy holding an advertisement for gogo taxi. my stupid ass smiled thinking someone sent a taxi for me. the problem with that is no one knew when i was coming. passed gogo taxi and negoitiated a 35 dollar cab ride to palacio. i tried to write directions down, ocean on left, past naval academy. then he went thru this maze of one way, over the hill, do a you-turn streets. arrive palacio 1pm. great hotel, nice owner, courteous employees but the ancient desighn combined with modern technology is amazing. well worth 62 per night. went to el conde then the park to people watch.(damn i'm writing this as i travel metro sd-sos and all these fine chicks just got off in santiago, it looked like a fashion show leaving)anyway left the park and got a call from jaosousa. hooked up with him and he gave me the tour. stopped at 360, gdp, la prada, lapus etc. club 360 had ten girls mostly 7-9 in looks. cuba libre was 150 pesos, girls had great attitude and the owner was helpful. girls were quoting me 3000pesos tln, jazmine was my favorite she kept wearing my sunglasses and looked like j-lo. jaososua kept entertaining the girls with his latin dancing. we left 360 and went to gdp. six girls dressed in hula hula outfits. all were fine but it was an ok looking one playing the back. claudia, 6 feet in heels light skinned, great body but the lips seemed to mesmerize me. presidente beer was 100 pesos, claudia quoted me 5 mil pesos tln(what)then dropped to 4mil (what). jaosousa and i stayed an hour danced, drank and enjoyed the eye candy. then we went to eat and back to 360 for a refill. j and i hooked up with a couple new york boys and went to a club. it had a 300 pesos cover and it was packed. i asked a waitress where the ladies bathroom was, and she looked at me crazy and pointed left. see if the club is packed i post up outside the female rest room because they have to [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140), i see them coming and going. jaososua had a girl coming to meet him at the club, so this was my chance to street hunt around the jaragua casino limits. being a sosua veteran 3mil is not even in my vocabullary. my last sd trip i got a street walker with teachers glasses at 1am for 1500 pesos. i caught a cab to the girls house but fuck that place. i had a dead fish from there two years ago. walked past gh and hung a left at the corner. a fat chick walked up, smiled and introduced herself. her fat ass wanted 3mil on the streets. i walked another 200 yards and i couldn't believe my eyes. it was the teacher girl from two years ago. i asked her to stick out her tongue (she has a 6 inch tongue)and that verified it was her. she wanted 3mil tln so we exchanged numbers so she could be an option later. i walked another 1oo yard and i see a siloute in the darkness of this long haired beautiful from the back. when i get 10 feet from her she turns toward me and its a dude. i stumble as i change directions quickly. i go to la prada now this is where the night gets good. no cover, cuba libres 259 pesos, and girls everywhere. shit they even had a stripper pole that the girls were working hard. i started tipping the girls 100 pesos notes each. next thing i know i'm getting a double lap dance. i started buying them drinks and they said the price dropped to 3mil after midnight. so i went back to the streets and unknowingly walked right into lapus. i see three chicks dancing on the stage so i sit down. suddenly 7 chicks surround me, i say"estoy tranquillo"and all the sudden i got 14 titties in my vecinity. talking about being speechless. i pick maria, she says 3mil, then the dj says its 1am and they are closing. i'm ready to make a final counter offer when all the girls run in the back like they have a curfew. i leave lapus realizing i just struck out in santo domingo. so i called my teacher glasses girl, no answer. i quickly hop a cab to gdp, claudia is gone but she has other girls for 3-4 mil. at this point i'm like"fuck santo domingo"i'm going to catch the 7am metro for sosua. don't get me wrong i'm no cheepo, but over paying doesn't guarantee great service. i've had 1000 pesos girls that fuck me night and morning very well and i give 2500 for a job well done but la capital got game.

How much can a tourist can pay to have sex. If a new bar begins with that level of price, it's because they have custumers that can afford it. Doing so some of us are playing against most of us. For the next trip we should battle to lower the price. Can you imagine the huge profit they are making out of us?

With the exception of guys who have been coming to SD for a long time what you posted is pretty accurate. I know it wasn't a typo but how in the world some chica thinks she can get $300 US unless her asking price was for the entire week.

Other note: I am taking this rental car back.
A rental car is something you need but actually something you can do without. Last trip I had a rental in the beginning of my trip and at the end. The days I did not have a car I really did not miss it. In Zona and Gascue most places are easy enough to walk to.

I try not to drive at night. At night a $RD150 taxi and a Presidente in your hand is the way to go. The publicos at $RD15 can also be some fun transportation.

If you go back to GBP take a cab and when returning walk out to Lincoln and take a publico to Independencia. Catch another publico on Independencia to take you right back to Jaragua. Total cost less than $1US and a good way to see a little more of the city.

On the corner of 27 and Lincoln is Nacional Supermarket. A great place to shop to stock up the frig. Try the whole baked chicken and a bag of soft, soft rolls. You can also get some good cold cuts and they have a good selection of booze. For an extended stay it is a good way to save a few bucks.

Since you are staying a Jaragua Hotel/Casino you can easily walk to La Cedna supermarket. It is a very small supermarket but it has all the basics. Walk out the rear parking lot and cross Independencia. Walk one block up Hinos Delinge and make a right at the first block (Casimiro Nunez). Walk two short blocks to Cervantes and the market is right on the corner.

Other than Manolos and Grands(Pacos) there is another 24 hour eatery on 30 de Mayo just before you get to 27, Barra Payan.

Looking to kill a few hours during the day when available P4P is at its lowest? For $RD70 you can take a round trip on the Metro.

By Parque Independencia or anywhere on Avenida Bolivar take a publico to Maximom Gomez, 15 pesos. Walk down Gomez towards the sea a few blocks and you will see the Metro Station. Purchase your ticket at the ticket booth. It is a two part ticket. One part you surrender to enter the gate and the second part you surrender at your destination.

Take the Metro to the Villa Mella station, the last stop. The ride is about 20 minutes and 20 pesos each way. At Villa Mella there isn't much, if anything, to do. Enjoy a cold drink and a tostado before you head back.

Take the Metro back to the Jaoquin Balaguer station. Close to the Balaguer Metro station is a Polo Victorina, Nacional Supermarket, ATM, and quite a few other spots. Do a little shopping to fill the frig and feed the chicas.

Walk down Gomez to Avenida Independencia and catch a publico back to Gascue or Zona.

For the adventurous, this is an option other than walking El Conde again.

A lot of times having food in the frig really comes in handy. On several occasions I had cold cuts, rolls, and mustard in the frig to let the chica make a sandwich. Talk about a happy chica. It is a nice way to get her comfortable with you and the service is a little better. LOL

Now if only the smaller hotels would start supplying a small mircrowave instead of the propane burning stoves, which by the way never seem to have propane in the tank.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Some chicas are miserable if they don't eat their scheduled meals. I can go the whole day without eating (I prefer to eat late in the evening), some of those chicas, if they don't have breakfast, lunch and dinner, brujas (witches).

The Metro basically runs up and down Maximo Gomez which is a long way from GBP. To the best of my knowledge the Metro does not stop near any P4P points of interest. As a matter of fact the Metro does not stop at any "tourist" points of interest.

When the Metro was designed it appears it was intended for use by Dominicans, which is a good thing. Outside of Zona Colonial, Malecon, Gascue, and a few other spots that is all there is for tourists to do in Santo Domingo. Most tourists never make it outside of Zona Colonial.

I can think of plenty of days when I have seen less than a dozen tourists walking the streets of SD.

man, i am looking at your left over spaghetti. i am hoping you did not get it from the little cafe next to the mystik. me and my boy filled up on that shit after a hard night and are still paying for it. what you call dominican montezomas revenge? :)

i had a great time in sdq. thanks for the maps and good im info sent by you guys. will load pics latter but quick synopsis:

got in on tuesday at 12:30 from jetblue. was picked up by budget car rental. got nice four-runner just like the one i had in puerto plata. my boy was tripping like it was the same car. went to confirm reservation at the renaissance (we don't like putas but they can hustle in the casino) jaragua. confirmed reservation, now what am i going to do at 2:30? consensus! lets go go to gbp. nice selection of chicas like 10. was laughing while negotiating at front as could here another monger letting a chica have it through the walls. 1500 pesos for rosie perez little sister. best bbj i had during the trip. all kinds of sucking, spitting, jacking, tonguing and milking. could not take it anymore. pushed her on her back and started off missionary for 10, changed rubbers, from the side for 5, had to change rubbers again. hard pounding from the back for 10. had to change rubbers again. said "fuck it" and had her top me off with her kung fu. good chick. gave me number as well as like 10 other puntas but did not call her ass or the rest the entire trip. dumby!

get back to the hotel park and check in. fugging bellhop almost wrecked the car. im pissed but im not going to let it bother me. checked in to the garden suites and pooped a bottle of grey goose we got. its like 7:00 now so we go to the casino. walk in and the host offers us plastic for our glass cups. we take and continue to walk in. look at the exchange rate at 33.5 and say hell no. get better rates from the atm. (note to self, get all the money you want or need for the day one time. the international fees a kill you.) walk to the slots and see eryka badu with a brest job. same pretty lips, green eyes and banging tight little ass. say hello to her and she ask me if i want company. i say sure but its up to you to get to the room. i tell her my room number and walk off. we muddle and my boy says he needs a nap after fucking lisa bonet (notice, no real names. another story to tell on that) so we head to the room about 8:14. i go in and start taking a shower. knock on the door its mrs badu..im like wtf but we. let her in and start rubbing on her nice ass. i ask her how much she says 3000. i start pushing her to the door. she starts to get loud, i give her my ***** ill kill you look she calms down. i say 1000 pesos. she says no. i say bye. she says 1500 pesos. i pick her up and throw her on the bed. i get her cloths off and it is the most beautiful body i have ever seen. just pretty pussy and ass. i loose my tuff guy act and start kissing her gently on her neck and down to her nipples. i get this urge to eat her pussy then i come to my senses. i put on one of my rubbers this time. not that shit they have. i grind her pussy for like 20 minutes. crazy shit is that she is kissing and tonguing me back. (im sniffling now just thinking about it) after about what seems like forever. i make her come from grinding in her pussy and she runs to top of the bed rubbing her clit. i pull her down by her ankles and turn her over. start fucking her hard from the back while she rubs her clit fast as shit. her nails nicked ma nuts twice. made me miss a stroke or two. was doing very well until i started realizing how fine and how good her pussy was. im out! hard too. like i never fucked earlier. fall in deep coma like sleep together.

my boy knocks on the door it like 12:15 am with this dirt black haitian in white pants and blue top fine as hell. (chick is always on the corner of indepencia and pasture. did not realize it until friday and saturday night when my other boys got their wreck.) well, we give each other the look and start in with the 4 way. eryka badu started with the more pesos shit. as good as she just was i give her an additional 1000 and we commence to have the craziest 4 way on earth. my boy is an ass! he loved badu so much i was stuck with the hatian. oooooo pooor me. she had a rock hard fat ass and a great big clit. i bend her over beat the breaks off her. hour latter we are done. all take a shower, get everyone number and we all take a walk down independia at 2:00 in the morning. put them in a taxi back to the hotel when we figure this shit is not smart. get to continental back opening and its a hooker fight. yelling screaming and throwing! well until we pass by then its accompiana papi. we pass and crash back at the room.

Okay guys now that you had a little laugh with me feeding them chicas a ham and cheese sandwich instead of buying a shrimp dinner.....so here is my newest charm the chica trick.

I have a few friends in the DR barrio who have young children. The kids don't have much excitement in their lives so I decided to learn how to "twist balloons". You know, like at the carnival where the clown makes animals out of balloons. My first few days I visited the kids we had a blast blowing up balloons and making all kind of things.

One night I am completely Brugal and Presidente induced. I break out the balloons and pump to start making things. This chica like to freaked out she was so excited. I got so movitated that every chica after her we spent a few minutes balloon twisting and there wasn't a chica who did not get a thrill seeing a balloon come to life.

I made a very nice flower balloon and presented it to this one chica and she started to shed a few tears. She tells me no one has ever given her anything so special.

I am still wondering what the front desk at the hotel starting thinking when they saw every chica leave with balloon hearts, flowers, or animals.

Don't ask,,,,, yes sometimes I like chicas with a few extra kilograms and no I do not know how to make a balloon chica who gives head.

Don't ask,,,,, yes sometimes I like chicas with a few extra kilograms and no I do not know how to make a balloon chica who gives head.I like your approach. It's always a good thing to put a smile on someones face.

Well I'm back in the states. Thanks for all the guys who called me while I was down there. Sorry we could not hook up on the days I posted I would be in town.

Day 1.

Get to Bar 360 at around 7PM, my buddy has 2 chicas waiting for me, his door guy carries my bags upstairs to a clean but a bit worn down flop for the next 2 days, I take a shower with the 2 and get sucked and fucked for the next 2 hours. What a welcome. Spent the next couple of hours drinking way too much beer and catching up with him. Damn present I bought for him (a neon light for the bar) did not make it in one piece. The girls that work for him are all real nice and treated me well while I was there. I spent a few hours that night with one of the 2 from earlier she was real nice. She left my room about 4 in the morning. The first time with the girls was a gift from my buddy. I paid the girl 1,500 for the second round.

Day 2.

Chica from 4 in the morning shows up knocking on my door at 1PM. I think she called earlier but I was wasted and I'm pretty sure I told her to come over. Anyway, I tell her to come in but I'm sleeping, she gets undressed hops into bed for some snuggling, we sleep for about 4 hours get up have a little romp in the bed, take a shower and go out for food. Cost for this experience Dinner. I tell my buddy I'm going with her to the casino and she'll be back tomorrow. We go to the casino, I give her 500 to gamble with and she asks me to gamble it for her. I make her 500 into 5K and I make about 70K. We cash out and she goes to give me the 500 back, I told her to keep it. This time I want to go to a cabana (man I love those places). We get a room about 1:30AM and she stays with me until around 9AM. Total cost 500.

Day 3.

We leave from the cabana. I take the girl home she invites me in, I meet her brother, her mother, cousin, her niece and her 2 kids. Real nice apartment, have coffee, talk with the family get the tour (her place is nicer than mine). then I get the call from the girlfriend time to go.

Afternoon Day 3.

See the novia, catch up on some things with her run some errands one of which is take her to the clinic for her test results. She is starting college and need to have a health check as part of the registration. She shows it to me and all results are negative (she shows this to me to prove she has been faithful, lol). The negative test results are good because I get to hit it raw while I'm down there. Moved to a nice hotel with the novia, sex , sleep, repeat.

Day 4.

Do the family thing with the novia, zoo with the niece, nephew and baby sitter. The zoo charges 100 pesos for locals and 10USD for extranajeros (gringos). Using my spanish I insist I've been living here for 5 years and convince the teller and she lets me in for the 100 pesos. Later that evening back to the hotel for the pool with all. The novia and I stay in the pool until dark and have a little sex in the pool until the security guard catches us. LOL. Send the kids home with the sitter in a taxi, go to dinner with the novia back to the room sex, sleep, repeat.

Day 5.

Off to a resort in Juan Dolio with the misses. Total relaxation, decompression, no worries for work, blissful. Massages, drinks, sex, sleep, repeat.

Day 6.

Breakfast, sex, pool, driving lessons for the misses (she loves to drive).

Day 7.

More of the same, yawn.

Day 8.

Return to the capitol. Bring her to the university offices so she can sign up for her courses. M-W and SA. She takes off to her english classes and I head to the casino. Call enamorada #1 she's sick, #2 is nuts, #3 is available. #3 takes a taxi to the casino we gamble a little, I win her some money about 1,200. I win even more money (very lucky trip). Take her to the cabana, we have a great time and then she hits me with it's her birthday. I ask to see her cedula (and sure as shit it's her b-day) 3K present makes her happy and we head out. Drop her off to her house and head back to casa de mi novia. Head off to Hotel BQ (or delta as it used to be known). More quality time with the misses.

Day 9.

Drop the novia at school, take off on my own with the girl from the day before and have some more time with her and later that night with the girl friend. Only problem is we eat at one of my favorite restaurants and she puts down a little more wine than usual and gets sick all night (no sex for me).

Day 10.

Bring the misses home, head over to the BAR 360 take out a hot one that was occupied the last time that I was there, went to a cabana, sex, lunch, airport, home.

Damn, I hate working for a living. I will be back in early September for 3 or 4 days, flights are cheap.

Recapping, there was the "ham and cheese night", followed by the "left over spaghetti night", a night of "fun with balloons",,,,,,,,,,,,,

To fill the evening void I also hosted an "insert what you want" "where you want night"
.
Not to be outdone my final night I had the pleasure of hugging a chica flaca while we watched two chicas en el amor. First they gracefully ate each other out and finished up fucking clitoris to clitoris. What a sight, and chica flaca says this is her first time watching chica con chica. Don't know whether to believe her or not, it really does not matter.

This is a trip report from my recent visit to SDQ from 8/13-8/16. Many thanks to all of you that posted good info on this forum that allowed me to minimize newbie mistakes.

Prelude
I started my “vacations” last year after a divorce, with my first excursion to Panama. After being charmed my Colombianas in Panama, I started playing in Colombia. In coming across other mongers who raved about the Dominican Republic and always wanting to go to Santo Domingo, I decided to do a quick 3 night trip.

Travel Logistics
I flew Delta from ATL to SDQ. Clearing Immigration and Customs was a breeze. However, I flew in on a day with heavy rains and apparently had been raining for the 4 days earlier. After clearing customs, I searched for a taxi, but was being quoted $40, even from the “official” taxi stand. Even tried to go back up to departures to see if I could get a better deal from a taxi dropping someone off, but the heavy rains made it difficult. Ended up paying the $40 taxi fare from airport to hotel, but the return trip back to the airport when I was leaving SDQ was only $25.

Taxi fares to go anywhere from the hotel was 200 pesos. So, a few times I ended up offering $20 to a few taxi drivers to drive me around to the various venues, wait for me and then drop me off at the hotel, anywhere from 4-6 hrs total hours. At the end of this report, I have listed two taxi drivers I would recommend who are older, and trust worthy, and who now know most of the monger venues listed on this forum. However, both only speak Spanish.

Lodging
I stayed at Hostal Riazor http://www.hotelriazor.com.mx/riazor/riazor_eng.htm. I emailed them (hostal_riazor@hotmail.com) to see if they could offer a better rate than the $84/night shown on their website. I got it for $58/night, including tax and breakfast. However, even though the rooms have a safe, the rental fee for the safe is another $2/day (need to get the lock and key for the safe from the front desk). So it ended up being $60/night. Riazor does not take a deposit for the room or give you a confirmation number, and this was almost a problem when I arrived and was told that there was no availability. But I showed the front desk my email correspondences and fortunately, the person I was emailing happened to be around and I was able to get lodging.

I would highly recommend this place. It is clean, chica friendly, and strategically located on Ave Independencia, just behind the Jarauga- Renaissance. The rooms have hot water, air conditioning, TV, and minibar (be careful about the chicas eating everything out of it if you take them to the room). Wireless internet is available only in the main lobby and there is also a desktop computer with internet connection that can be used if you don’t take a laptop. Manolos restaurant is right next door, which has decent food. Several of the chica venues are walking distance, and there are street walkers at night right in front of the hotel. If you do rent a car, there is a Dollar Car Rental place just a block or 2 away.

Currency Exchange
The exchange rate was $1= 36 DOP. As I found out in traveling to COL, it is better to withdraw from ATMs if you have the right the bank that doesn’t charge an international transaction fee and gives you the best exchange rate. I use a CapitalOne ATM card strictly for my travels abroad to get the best exchange rate. Unlike in COL, where my CapitalOne ATM card would work only at CitiBank ATMs, in SDQ it worked everywhere I tried it, but being careful to use it only to withdraw from ATMs (“cajero automaticos”) from the larger banks in SDQ.

My Rating Scale
I am attracted to the “girl next door” look with a nice ass, flat stomach and all natural (no silicone). So, my rating scale is based on this.

10’s: there are no “10s” on my rating scale (when I’m sober). 9’s: These are the “hot” chicks like you see on Victoria Secret’s, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, and music videos. You easily notice them out from across the room. 8’s: These are the “pretty” girls (minimal makeup) with nice bodies (all natural) including nice ass and breasts. You notice them when they walk by. 7’s: These are “attractive” girls (maybe a little bit more makeup) with a nice ass, but maybe lacking in breasts. I am an ass man, so a girl could be attractive, have a great ass, but very small breasts and still be a “7” on my scale. I am very generous with my “7” rating. These are the girls that are attractive when you start talking to them. You notice they may either have nice eyes, a nice smile, full lips, pretty hair etc. 6’s: These are the “not ugly” girls with a nice ass with or without nice breasts. These girls are doable (without alcohol) and I would have nothing to be ashamed about if anybody found out. 5’s or lower: I would never do sober, I would hope that no one ever found out and most likely I would just want a BJ.

Chica Venues
On the day I arrived, I was limited to exploring very much due to the heavy (and I do mean “heavy”) rains. This may also have had some impact on the quality of chicas I saw on some of the venues, most of which I only went to once.

The following is ranked in the order that I liked from most to least in terms of the QUALITY based on my preferences and rating scale:

Casa Australia
After reading the favorable reports by others on this place, I showed up once unannounced and the next day after I gave her a call and told Senora Australia what time I would be showing up. On the day I showed up unannounced, she had one girl there and called one over, both of which were a “7” on my scale. The next day, she had two strong “8s” waiting for me.

This as the place I found the type of chicas I was looking for. The girls were attending school (universities) and were trying to make some money on the side. They were “semi-pros” and I felt would be the most likely to provide GFE.

Unfortunately, I did not take any of the girls. I was in the mode of wanting to see all the various venues in my short time in SDQ, so after I saw the two girls that were “8s” that Australia had waiting for me, I told her that I would be back in a little while, but I didn’t realize that she closed at 10pm and the girls went home, so I missed out. Still kicking myself!

The actual “casa” is Australia’s house (which is quite small) and nothing is done on site. Prices were 1500 DOP for the girl for 2 hours and 500 DOP for Australia. You can take the girls back to your place, or use the “Cabana” across the street. I believe that the girls would be open for TLN for higher price

I will vouch for Australia’s integrity as others have stated by giving two examples. I speak limited Spanish and on my first visit, I thought Australia had understood that I wasn’t taking either of the two girls that she had at the time and that I would be back later. She asked me for the 500 DOP. I thought there was still a charge even if you didn’t take a girl, so I gave it to her. When she realized that I wasn’t taking either of the girls, she just handed me the 500 DOP back without me even asking for it. The second example is when I went back the next day and wanted to take one of the “8s” back with me, but I wanted to wait until after I came back from visiting some of the other venues. I tried to give Australia the 500 DOP to let her know that I was serious about coming back for the girl, but she wouldn’t take it. In a place where there is someone always trying to rip you off, Australia’s refusal to accept any money has really endeared me to her.

I would highly recommend this place and that you call ahead and let her know what type of girl you prefer. Australia only speaks Spanish and her cell is: 8098154174

Pros: The best quality “semi-pros” I found on my trip; Australia’s integrity. Best value for the price.
Cons: Small “encounter” area to meet/greet the chicas; closes at 10pm; Spanish speaking only; a little out of the way (but well worth it!)

Casa Teresa
This is one of the places I went to after I left Australia’s (and left the two “8s” behind never to see again), but the quality wasn’t bad with many “7s” and a nice area to meet the girls. When you first arrive (as with almost any other establishment I went to), the girls will line up in front of you and will stay there until you start talking to one, even if it’s just asking one of the girls what time they close. Then, all the other girls go and sit elsewhere (but may still may make eye contact and smile at you), until you call one over. The girls live in the casas and can’t leave (even during the day) without paying. Cost was 2000 DOP in house for 1 hour, or 3500 DOP for 2 hours at your place. The only negative was the high price of drinks. I was charged 680 DOP for 1 mixed drink, but may have been partly because I arrived with a taxi driver.

Pros: Good ambiance, friendly attractive girls,
Cons: Expensive drinks; take out cost; loud music

El Penthouse
This was a pretty cool place, although it seemed like very out of the way. As mentioned by others, it is on a roof top with a pool and girls walking around. Several “7s” in the crowd and some seemed like they would provide GFE. Cost was 2000 DOP in house or 3500 take out.

Pros: Best venue in terms of ambiance; friendly attractive girls
Cons: A little out of the way; take out cost

Gimnasio Bar Privado
I think that this place is actually setup as a “gym” because I saw weights in one room and a treadmill in another. The girls were friendly and a few “7s”. The cost was 1500 DOP for 1 hour onsite and 2500 DOP to take back to your place. As mentioned by others, a pretty good day time option and value.

Pros: On site cost; friendly attractive girls
Cons: rooms were very uncomfortable, with cushions from the couches used for doing the deed

Bar 360
Again, after reading so much about this place before my trip, I wanted to go check it out. The place has potential and I met the owner, who seems like a pretty good guy. Apparently, they are going through some “changes” and he had a limited number of girls available. However, he did hook me up with my best experience in SDQ. The cost was 2500 DOP for 2 hours (mention “ISG” and make sure that there is no commission for a taxi driver (3500 DOP otherwise)

Pros: Nice ambiance; some attractive girls
Cons: low number of girls when I went due to “changes”

Babydolls
2500 DOP for 2 hours off site.

Pros: Friendly, attractive girls
Cons: Really small place; drinks may be overpriced (200 DOP for a Presidente)

Jaragua Casino
I walked through Jaragua all 3 nights, but only on Saturday night did I find any obvious working girls. Some were attractive but wanted $100

Pros: Walking distance from where I was staying
Cons: Girls weren’t worth the price they were asking/

El Parado
3000 DOP quoted to me for 2 hours off site.

Pros: Walking distance from where I was staying; some attractive girls
Cons: Take out cost

Streetwalkers
As I mentioned above, I could sit out my balcony or sit and Manolos next door and look at several streetwalkers nearby, some of good quality. Usually start seeing them from 11pm-?? Asked 1500 DOP, but would settle for less I’m sure.

Pros: Easy access from where I was staying; low cost
Cons: No GFE; some could con you (had one who said she would do BBJ, but then wouldn’t when I took her to the room)

Foxys
There was maybe 1 girl that fit my preference, but was being quoted 7000 DOP for 2 hours offsite.

Pros: ??; actual stripping on stage
Cons: Overpriced; girls only average for the most part and are pushy

Coppa Disco
I went to Coppa on one night and tried to go on Saturday night, but was refused entrance due to me wearing sandals (even though they were dressy).

Pros: Nice disco
Cons: Loud and hard to talk to the girls; hard to know which ones were actually P2P

Dollhouse
This is a high end strip club with 200 DOP entrance and 500 DOP “private” dances. There were mostly girls from Colombia, Venezuela, and other places and the girls do actually strip on stage. Many were cosmetically enhanced. Some were willing to meet you after they got off work at 3am. I didn’t talk price.

Pros: Upscale strip club
Cons: Not my type of girls and I’m sure price would be high.

Lapsus
I just walked in and walked out on one night and can’t provide much information except to say that it was walking distance from where I stayed.

Skyhouse/Girlhouse
I actually didn’t go to either one of these places, although they were walking distance from my hotel. This was mostly because there was creepy, English speaking Domincan guys around

Other Activities
I went to Boca Chica for an afternoon. After pricing out what it would cost to take a taxi to the bus that goes to Boca Chica and back, I just hired a taxi driver to take me, wait for 3-4 hours, and then drive me back for $50. Nice beach with aqua colored water, but too many peddlers. However, I ate excellent fried fish on the beach.

Apparently, there is nice aquarium in SDQ that is open all days, but closes at 5pm so I didn’t get a chance to go (yes, I need something to do during the day and am into aquariums). I found this out on my way back to the airport to leave SDQ.

Summary
After being spoiled by Colombian women on my excursions, I wasn’t expecting much from SDQ and really just went to see some place new. After my first two days in SDQ, I vowed that I wouldn’t ever come back, but I enjoyed myself on my last day and would consider going back. However, instead of wasting my time at the various venues, I would check out what Casa Australia had to offer, sample a few of her girls, and then probably just hang out with the one(s) that I clicked with the most. Maybe I would also go to Casa Teresa (without a taxi driver), and El Penthouse. If I found a girl I liked, I would go with her to dinner and to Coppa Disco.

If going to most venues by taxi, know that there is some sort of commission given to the driver that will be tacked on to the price quoted you, and this can be pretty pricey (800-1000 DOP).

By far, Casa Australia was the only place that had girls of the type I was attracted to like the Colombianas I met, and at a great value. This is the hidden gem of SDQ IMO and I thank you guys who first found this place and posted info on it so that others could benefit.

Many thanks to all of you that posted good info on this forum that allowed me to minimize newbie mistakes............Wow, that is one of the best reports I have read in a very long time. I don't know how to do it but this report definitely belongs in the Reports of Distinction section. Simply great reporting, you stated the facts and left out bedroom detailed activity, which I think is wonderful.

This report along with the map should be packed in everyone's suitcase heading to Santo Domingo.

Only one little thing, LOL, the web link you posted is for Hotel Riazor in Mexico. To the best of my knowledge Hotel Riazor in SD does not have a website.

Santo Domingo is a different place to go for P4P. Not too often will you read a report from a first time visitor who really, really enjoyed SD. SD takes many trips to know how to get around solo. You have to know different things to do to keep you busy during the daytime. I have over twenty trips to SD and am still learning.

I can go on and on raving about your report!

Thanks so much for taking the time to post.

Is Casa Teresa really 2,000 or it was a typo? Everybody has reported this place to be 3,000.

The same question applies to Babydoll. I talked to a friend yesterday that I met at Casa Azul a few months ago and she is now on Babydolls, she told me yesterday the price is 3,500.

Jaragua girls can easily go down to $50-$60.

La Parada quotes 3,000 but they can go down if you ask for a discount.

I can think of plenty of days when I have seen less than a dozen tourists walking the streets of SD.On the monger map I see three points of interest, casa australia, casa teresa and casa azul that are not so far from a metro station named Pedro Livio Cedeno. Is this right?

Your report and "The Monger Map" would be enough for any man to have a good time in the capital.

The DR is not great for P4P, but if you're in Santo Domingo and you want P4P, Australia's is the best place to go. In reference to the Aquarium, it's not bad. It's an open air aquarium with a few nurse sharks, some sea turtles, iguanas, and a variety of a large and small fish.

Happy Travels,

Although they look close on the map you would still want to take a taxi anywhere you go. Taxis are $RD150 (less than $5) to just about anywhere on the monger map. You do not want to be walking around in the hot sun in an area you are not familiar with.

For the most part the Metro is useless for P4P other than maybe one day you just want to kill some time and see the city.

Use the taxis and if you find a driver you are comfortable with get his number. For the most part the taxi driver's are decent people and will look out for you especially if you are a repeat customer.

Your best taxi drivers can be found across the street from Jaragua Hotel/Casino (parking lot) and Manolos Restaurant. Try to stay away from the taxis at El Conde, The Malecon, and any major hotel.

Thank you for the positive feedback on my SDQ trip report, especially from you seasoned vets of the DR. Also, I forgot to mention how helpful the SDQ mongering map was for me. Thanks to Boricuaonline for puttting the map together and for the guys that provided the info to do so. I found the map to be pretty close in almost every venue. Here is a quick link if needed:
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=0&ie=UTF8&ll=18.480627,-69.965143&spn=0.009891,0.019248&z=16&msid=106767774275556555984.00046d685b11334063b43&mid=1246199584

Here are some addtional info on getting to the venues that may not be familiar to taxi drivers:

Casa Australia: best thing to do is to have the taxi driver call her (809 815 4174) when you are en route to her place to give the driver directions. The directions I used when I first went was: 125 Calle Ramon Ramirez in the Villa Agricola area; north on Maximo Gomez, right on Codeno, left on Seibo, left on Ramirez.

Casa Teresa: Ave Jose Ortega y Gasset No 71; phone: 809-566-0864

El Penthouse: Go west on Ave 27 de Febrero, pass Avendida Privada, at next light (large intersection), make right on Calle Caonabo #10. It's in "Plaza Irene". You have to go up a few flights of stairs to walk inside to "room" of this place and then take another flight of stairs to get on the roof top. At nigt when I went, there was a girl looking out of a window into the parking lot of the buildign complex and guiding us in.

Only one little thing, LOL, the web link you posted is for Hotel Riazor in Mexico. To the best of my knowledge Hotel Riazor in SD does not have a website.

I could be wrong on the prices in that I was going on what I remembered. I do remember Babydolls being more reasonable than Foxy's (which I had just left), and am 90% sure that I was quoted 2500. It could also be that because of the heavy rain, "specials" were being offered. Also I do remember Casa Teresa being 3500 for 2 hour take out, but I may be wrong on the in house of 2000.

The two spanish speaking taxis drivers I used and would recommend:
Virgilio: 809 457 4556 (took me to GBP, Australias the first day, and Bar 360)
Rafael: 809 838 3677 (took me to Casa Teresa, El Penthouse, Australia the second time, Dollhouse; also took me to Boca Chica and back for a total of 4 hours for $50)

They were both near the hotel where I stayed. Vigillo was at the corner of Independecia and Pasteur. Rafael was on Malecon and Pasteur. Both are older men and was just waiting around for a fare.

I added Barra Payan to map, a 24 hour place serving sandwiches, juices etc. Also an approximate location of A1 Divas new place, please let me know if they just moved or opened a new location. They offer an express service of 1000 pesos full and 1500 one hour with on site rooms.

She is not that impossible to get. LOL

Stephanie is hot but you got to go through a lot of BS to make an appointment with her. She does not make appointments after 9pm and TLN is out of the question.

You can get the same or better a lot easier by going to Australia's. I only went to Australia's once my last trip but I did not have to ask that chica nothing. Seems like she had radar and could read my mind. I got just what I enjoyed!

Depending on traffic 10-15 minutes, or more and it is real easy to find. If driving go down Bolivar to Maximo Gomez and make a right. Go past 27, go past kennedy and make a right on Cedeno. Cedeno is the second large street past Kennedy. You can't miss it because there is a large cemetary on the corner.

Once on Cedeno make a left at the second block. The first block after making the left is Ramon Ramirez. Just look for house #125 which should be easy to find. The number is on the house and it has a fresh coat of paint. If you drive slow enough don't be surprised if Australia comes out to greet you. She knows why strangers come on her block.

In the past I have spoken highly of GBP and Jaguar Hotel. Australia's is my new addition to the Best of SD. Another one I will add to my Best of SD will be the $RD1000 chicas by Jaragua Hotel/Casino provided you screen the chica first.

There are a few gems hidden in that little bunch.

They will go with you for 500 or less if you can convince them you are not a random foreigner. They all know the security guards at nearby parking lots who will take 50 pesos to let you fuck them in your car in the parking lot. It's a better option than bringing them to your room where they can price you based on the fancy electronics most of us travel with and display in our rooms (not a good idea) they will steal if you let them. Disagree: All of the DR is third world as well as most of Latin America.

Don't understand how you can see it otherwise.

All the best, SchwmmThat term by definition is a misnomer and no longer applies, especially when you consider how small the world is, with the internet everywhere, major corporations everywhere etc.

Just for your information this is the definition (as defined by Wikipedia), of a third world country as you can see it no longer applies:

The term Third World arose during the Cold War to define countries that remained non-aligned or neutral with either capitalism and NATO (which along with its allies represented the First World) or communism and the Soviet Union (which along with its allies represented the Second World). This definition provided a way of broadly categorizing the nations of the Earth into three groups based on social, political, and economic divisions. Although the term continues to be used colloquially to describe the poorest countries in the world, this usage is widely disparaged since the term no longer holds any verifiable meaning after the fall of the Soviet Union deprecated the terms First World and Second World. While there is no identical contemporary replacement, common alternatives include developing world and Global South.

Well,
If a chica says "pay me what you want" you tell her that you are willing to pay her 100 pesos. See how she reacts. Unless the chica is an addict they will usually become quite upset. This is actually an old trick of the trade. If you do not set the price at the beginning they will give you some ridiculous sum at the end. Usually when chicas pull the "pay me what you want" stunt many mongers just leave them alone. One friend told me that if you have problems with them at the beginning that you will have problems with them at the end. Sometimes this is the sign of an early problem.

My experience with girls with the "pay me what you want" phrase is that they expect a good pay, based in the fact that "you are a person with money" . I always ask for an amount and they began with the "you know that I am not that kind of woman": translation: I am not a puta, I am more than that , so pay me more. They continue with the "no, I am not that kind of woman, I just want to make you happy" and then add: "but I have my needs, my mother is sick, my baby do not have milk", then she show me a photo of the baby. I once said "ok, then I'll buy you a gallon of milk and tylenol for your mother" and she was like "but my mother's medicine are so expensive" . They always end asking $100 or more.

I am curious. I have in my travels in Dom Rep, come across chicas who said to me "pay me what you want". I wonder how other mongers have handled that, when a chica tells the Monger to name the price...The fair price of pussy (a "7.5" +/-0.5) in The Dominican Republic is RD$1,500 (+/-RD$500.) If you already know that, then the only thing you need to figure out during the negotiation (w/o asking her) is what you think she'll settle for. Generally, that price will be between RD$1,000 and RD$2,000. Once you figured out what you believe her price is (BATNA), then it's just a matter of determining whether or not you are willing to pay it.

BTW: When I do receive "service" before discussing price, I give the girl a hug and stuff RD$1,000 in the girl's back pocket. Then, I pat her on the ass, walk her to the door, and see her on her way. Generally, that move starts and ends any discussion on payment. If it doesn't, I am usually prepared to pull out RD$500 more.

Years ago, my wingman and I had stuff stolen from our checked baggage at the airport, we were flying American Airlines into Puerto Plata. When we called American Airlines about the thefts, the agent at American Airlines said it was impossible, because there were cameras inside the airport and therefore no one could steal from checked luggage. American Airlines to their credit did give us some reimbursement for the stolen items. I read this today:

Military from different branches assigned to the Las Americas International Airport (Santo Domingo, SQ) are part of a ring which pillages the luggage of arriving passengers, admitted one the agents arrested in the case.

During interrogations after his arrest together with a civilian, Drugs Control agent Melvin Figueroa, stationed in Las Americas, confessed to stealing a laptop and other belongings from luggage.

Among the military Figueroa identified as being part of the ring are the lieutenants Paulino Pinales Sanchez and Javier Novas, of the Police antinarcotics unit, and Dominican AIR FORCE sergeant William Moreno Báez.

The scandal broke when newspaper El Dia uncovered the frequent theft from baggage, especially at Las Americas, where the most recent case was an Iberia flight from Madrid on Saturday, August 8, when the ring diverted a luggage container, and the passengers were told it had been left in that country, but would be delivered to them the following day.

During that time the thieves sacked all the suitcases and took them to an airport warehouse"

It took a Newspaper to uncover the thievery. A member of the Dominican Air Force was one of the thieves and remember part of the price of every airline ticket to fly into the Dominican Republic goes to the Dominican Air Force.

" ... as the tax slapped on a ticket’s real cost is as high as 52% ...
because the Government charges the airlines a fee per passenger entering or leaving the country, regardless of origin. In the purchase of each ticket the flyer pays a tax for the Tourism Ministry, the Civil Aviation Institute, the Airport Security Corp, the Air Force, the Airports Department and the airports management company Aerodom. In addition to those fees collected by decree, each airfare also pays 16% ITBIS Tax and another levy for issuing the ticket. "

And the kicker of course is: "Minister of the Hacienda Vicente Bengoa and the governor of the Central Bank, Hector Valdez Albizu were instructed by President Fernandez to head to Washington, DC to find US$900 million to fill present government budgetary gap.I know this is not a political site, but some of the aforementioned information could be useful if you ever have stuff stolen from your luggage and the airline company says it is impossible. And for me personally, after I have been stopped by the Policia Nacional while driving in Santo Domingo and been asked for money, nice to see that a Newspaper uncovered the thievery at Santo Domingo Airport, I guess the police are too busy shaking down tourists. And the government bureaucrats driving high priced new SUV vehicles and buying 150 dollar bottles of vodka at the high end bars in Santo Domingo, well, when the money runs low they can send someone to Washington, D.C. and request 900 million U.S. Dollars for the Dominican government.

Don't forget Casa Australia, highest rated place in SDQ.Thanks for the piece of advice. Yesterday, the action began for me at 8pm at la parada. it's a little bit soon, the girls were making up in the room. I like the place. It made me think at a cow boy saloon. The girls were ok. I drank my beer for a while, and i call one of them who append to be a friendly high light young chica. we walked to Mystik, took a shower and we spend a good time together. After a short while, not two hours, she asked me if she can go back to work. I didn't mind. I walked back to my hotel while she called her taxi, the one who is outside la parada i think. my beer - 150 - her drink - 350 - the girl - 2500 - hotel - 800.

Today, at 3 pm my taxi driver miji (8098377726) came to pick me and i took him to Gbp (thank you guys). He is also a cop he told me and knows all the places of interest but Gbp, ahah ! Anyway he waited for me for an hour and then i told him what i was doing in there. It's a chica who opened the door when i rang. On the left there's a small room where there is the bar. You're very close to the girls. Although lots of eyes were wathing me i didn't feel incumfortable. I chose a girl and another came to lap dance for me. Great moment. Greater moment with my chica in the next room. No bed but two couchs. She opened one but i didn't use it. It was too good to use a couch like they do in porn movie. BBBJ, FK, cow girl and doggy. I was happy, so i gave my chica and the lap dance performer a tips. Let's sum up. Taxi - 380 - our drinks - 500 - the girl - 1500 - tips - 300.

If they want my clothes (and dirty underwear on my flight back), have at 'em.Most scuba diving or snorkeling equipment, I put in the checked baggage. What I have learned is don't bring in valuables into the Dominican Republic that are not necessary. If something gets stolen, the Dominican Minister of Tourism office is useless. Those poor tourists were without their luggage for at least a day, while the thieves pillaged their bags. No fun after a 7 plus hour flight and not being able to change your clothes, in a hot humid climate.

This is very old news. It has been going on for many years. Like a lot of what you read in Dominican newspapers, it's recycled stories "freshened up" with recent instances to appear more newsworthy.common sense should tell you it is possible for theft to occur from checked baggage. It happened to the Duchess of York on the way to New York for Christ's sake. It is very foolish to put items of value in checked luggage. Experienced travelers know this and those who don't know it learn soon enough. Fergie was lucky that the people who stole the very valuable jewels she checked were even more stupid than her.. They tried to hock the jewels in the NY diamond district, where every jeweler had police supplied photos and instructions to be on the lookout. THey were caught.

Las Americas is famous for luggage thefts. It's OK to check stuff, but only if you can easily replace the items at low cost. A famous story made the rounds for a few years about a frustrated visitor who grew tired of having items stolen, including food items. He laced a box of chocolates with heavy laxatives and felt fulfilled when the candy predicatably disappeared from his checked luggage.

Keep your valuable with you. If they are too large to carry with you, then LEAVE THEM THE FUCK HOME.

I know this is not a political site, but some of the aforementioned information could be useful if you ever have stuff stolen from your luggage and the airline company says it is impossible.

"Airport security" has been robbing checked luggage for outgoing flights from "Las Americas", Santo Domingo's airport for at least 5 years now.

I know, from first hand experience. Jan 2005, flying back to Toronto, Canada, 2 bottles of good perfume disappeared from my ex's checked suitcase, and in May 2006, when she went to Mexico from Las Americas, cell phone and charger went. (Niece had packed the suitcase).

You check your luggage, it goes down the belt to "security", where they X-ray every bag, and take anything of value. You arrive in Toronto, or wherever, and your checked luggage is missing anything of value you had in there, and what can you do???

Don't ever put anything of value in checked luggage in the Dom. Rep.

Incoming luggage robbery is news to me, but I sure beleive it.

Just to show how bad the corruption is, look at the bad experience Vin Diesel had. About 4 years ago, Vin fell in love with the DR like many of us. He's bought property, filmed part of the "Too fast too furious" installment, and *****d like a madman all over the island." He was treated as a VIP during his trip. The gov't gave him military security. One of the security guys - a member of an elite military intelligence unit - was prosecuted (but I don't believe he was convicted) for placing a pistol in Vin's luggage. The pistol was traced to the intelligence guy who had been part of Vin's security detail. When the pistol was "discovered" Vin was detained. He was released soon enough but I will bet dollars to doughnuts he had to line a few pockets to do it.

It was the classic newbie treatment. He is known to have deep pockets and people out to get him sucked up to him relentlessly then took advantage of him when his guard was down. Obviously, the security guy could not have done n it without help from airport security.

Be aware, be very aware.

I think that the thievery by airport employees was an impetus to the business, as seen in Miami Int'l airport, of Saran-wrapping luggage. This way, the handlers think twice about tampering with luggage, and the owner of the luggage can identify if their bag was disturbed.

I'm heading to SD next week for the long weekend. A while back a native of SD told me about a place on the outskirts of the city, where the chicas served drinks while clad in bikinis. Anyone in tune to such a place? It isn't a pay for play place either. Just young chicas in bikinis in the bar.

alternatively you can stop there on your way from the airport, depending what time of the day your flight gets in.

La base is just a place to hang out and have a couple of drinks. The chicks do dress sexy and there are a few of them that are fine as hell. Their uniform changes from time to time. Some of this chicks are working girls but not all of them. If they are working girls than they will try to charge an arm and a a leg. They are spoiled because of all the high rollers that go to that place.
How Do I know this? I'm hitting a chick in SD that used to work in la base.

Eagles sports bar is just like la base but in my opinion the girls are better looking at Eagles. There is this really fine chick at Eagles that I Would love to take out on a date one of this days.

I originally gave this report on another site, that I am a member of, I felt it would only be appropriate to do the same here. Also this is a spot that maybe should be added on the monger map, but please be discreet, and no more copies of it on DR1.

If you talk or listen to the Santo Domingo veterans talk, Santo Domingo used to be the king of rub and tug massage parlors, but unfortunately they cracked down on them and basically rubbed them out entirely.

But I had the pleasure of enjoying one earlier today, in a nice quiet neighborhood, it looks just like a regular spa from the outside and continues to even when you enter. Their message is discreet, and you certainly can’t blame them considering what happened to all the other joints. Don't remember the name, when I visit again, I will get a business card with the exact address, and phone info. It is located close to all the group of hotels that are on the Malecon, starting with the Jaragua, and going to the hotel on calle Pasteur. It is a block north from Ave. Independencia and a block west of Calle Pasteur located between La Cadena Supermarket and the purple and yellow colored political headquarter located on the corner of Ave. Independencia and calle Cervantes. It is a small spa set back from the street between the two above locations. The hours are from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, don’t know if that means last massage has to start by 7:00 pm or if you are good as long as you get there by 8:00 pm.

When I walked in there were 6 or 7 chicas sitting around, the one behind the desk welcomed me in and asked me to choose who I wanted to receive my massage from. The chicas I saw ranged in the looks department from about a 5 - an 8. I picked the 8 can’t remember her name (started with an E), but if I go back I wouldn’t hesitate to pick her again. She was a cutie. Light skinned with a nice ample rump magnified by the pumps she was wearing, and pretty breasts, the best part of her to me was her face it was pretty and sexy at the same time. After I picked her she took me to one of the massage rooms, it appeared that they had about 4 or maybe 5 of them. I think I was the only one there at the time, went in around 1:30 pm today a Monday. Got undressed and laid on the table, she was wearing a halter top and blue jeans, and she started giving me a back massage, it wasn’t bad or good just average, but what would you expect in a place that the main goal of the massage is to get you off. The back massage and leg massage with me laying on my stomach lasted about 15 or so minutes I would guess, before she asked me to turn over she started rubbing the crease of my ass, and then put her hands under me and gently massaged my balls and dick, once she got me nice and hard she whispered in my ear to turn over.

Once I turned over all pretense of a legitimate massage was over as she proceeded to gently rub my dick, she asked what I wanted, a hand job was 1,000 pesos and full sex as she called it penetration was 2,000 pesos. I choose the hand job, so she got to work, as she rubbed me down, I alternated in grabbing her ass, and playing with her tits. Removed the tits from the halter, but the jeans never came down, wish they did so I could have really enjoyed that ass, but the ass was so good it still felt good rubbing it even with the jeans on. She did a good job, and had me shooting within about another 10 or so minutes. Along with the hand job, she toyed a little with the prostrate.

After she was done I asked her if she wanted my number in case she wanted to do something after hours and earn a few extra pesos that she wouldn‘t have to split with the house, she just smiled and gave a little laugh, I got the feeling she heard that one a thousand times before. Although I didn’t get or give the digits I got the feeling if you came there often enough and she was comfortable with you that was doable as well. She said she had been working there for about two years, so I guess the place has been around for a while. I also asked why she didn’t give me a blow job, she said she didn’t do that, but although she didn’t know for sure maybe some of the other girls did.

All and all a good experience, but I probably won’t be doing it too often, simply because for 1,000 pesos you could get full service for a couple of hours very easily during the afternoon if you picked up a chica on el conde or somewhere. I would have seriously have thought about doing the full service with her, if the price was 1,500 pesos instead of the 2,000 pesos. If you are someone that likes the rub and tug action, it is a good location for you, just be discreet.

Is the Hilton chica friendly?According the website for the Hilton SDQ: "A US $30 VISITOR'S FEE APPLIES UPON CHECK-IN FOR NON-REGISTERED GUESTS"

http://www1.hilton.com/en_US/hi/hotel/SDQHIHH-Hilton-Santo-Domingo/services.do

The rates at the Hilton are cheaper Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Nice hotel, nice rooms, when you book choose ocean front and you should get a room facing the malecon and the ocean.

Even if you are willing to pay the extra 30 dollars to bring in a non-registered guest, some hotels can deny admittance of certain chicas, if for some reason they don't like the chica.

If you have a chica with you when you check in, then you don't have to pay the extra 30 dollars. I paid about 119 dollars for a Sunday night stay at the Hilton. I prefer the Hotel Palacio for about 100 dollars per night. And for the best pool that I have used in Santo Domingo, the Hotel Embajador (about 90 per night). Palacio and Embajador are chica friendly. Palacio requires the chica to have a cedula, no exceptions.

You could sleep alone at the Hilton and take the chicas to one of the cabanas near the Hilton, further west on the Malecon. Cabana prices range from 12 to 30 dollars for 4 hours. The more expensive cabana rooms have jacuzzis and other items, usually the more expensive rooms are located close to the entrance of the cabana, drive further into the cabana to encounter the less expensive rooms.

If you have a rental car, you can bypass the lobby at the Hilton. You can park your car on the 4th or 5th floor and enter the hotel from the parking garage on the 4th or 5th floor. There is a security guy there, but I walked passed him with my dominican girlfriend several times and he never said a word to me. Just be careful, even if you get a chica in for free, if she causes drama, the hotel may not be happy that you bypassed their $30 fee, in which case you can say you didn't know about the guest fee.

Well hurricane Erika is approaching, plus American had mechanical problems with the same flight yesterday and had to return it to the airport. In January we flew american in the same conditions, they circled the airport for two hours then returned us to Miami. After explaining all this to American they say if I cancell I still have to pay the 150usd. Damn, I guess I'm out 150. But thats better than a vacation with 60% rain every day. Palacio is very nice, I take my Novia there from time to time, last time we got caught having sex in the pool, around 9PM. Security was cool, just telling us the pool was closed at that time. At times, my novia did not have her cedula, this posed no problem.

BQ/Delta is very nice as well, pool and Jacuzzi on the roof with a bar. No chica fee, however not that if you check in with a girl, her ID will be attached to the reservation and the next time you use the hotel her name would show up on the paperwork. I told the management that this could pose a problem and they should not save that information.

One chica who came to use the pool with her big titty friend, did not have a cedula and the hotel palacio did not let her in, I was bummed.

Hotel BQ (formerly Hotel Delta) is just down the block from El Embajador Hotel. Street walkers at night on Avenida Sarasota between El Embajador Hotel and Hotel BQ. Also some chicas sit on the steps of the plaza in front of hotel el embajador.

As an aside, most bigger hotels have ATM machines inside their lobbies or very near to their lobbies. Sometimes I use the ATM which is attached to the outside of the lobby at the Hotel El Embajador, I pull my car up near to the entrance of the lobby and get out and use the ATM machine. There are usually always workers in front of the hotel so it is a safe place. I have also withdrawn money using the ATM machine in the hotel melia casino, the ATM machine is near the bathrooms and the cashiers, also a safe location.

I have stayed at the Hotel Santo Domingo (Avenida Lincoln and the Malecon and Avenida Independencia). Very quiet old hotel, nothing special. Again if you are in that area and you need an ATM machine, you can park your car in the lot for the hotel santo domingo and use the ATM machine in the lobby there. Also the Hilton Hotel has a ATM machine in the lobby, towards the back of the lobby near the elevators, you might be able to park your car in front and quickly get out and withdraw cash.

One thing I tried to find out the last time I was in Santo Domingo, was whether the casinos have a sports book, to bet on American Sports. I was told that when Dominicans want to bet on Dominican Sports that they don't use the casinos, they use some other place. I asked a few workers in one casino and they didn't know about betting on American sports.

I am heading down on 10/3 - 10/11. Probably staying in the Aparta Roma (Zona Colonial) 50 per night for an apartment w/kitchen, trying to get them to drop the price for cash payment.

Anyone looking to hang out, my local number is posted in other reports. Will spend a bit of time at BAR 360. I will buy a round for anyone that shows up while I'm there.

BTW, do not take a cab or a guide to BAR 360. My buddy has to pay commission to these guys (so your quoted chica price will include this) your best bet if you need to take a cab to the zone is to go to the hard rock and walk the 2-3 blocks. Save everyone money.

Cagep1967, come on dude, I am starting to get tired of you promoting Bar360. You mean to tell me if I get a cab at Grands and the taxi driver has never heard of Bar360 your buddy has to pay a commission? Let's get real.

It is obvious you have an interest in Bar360 because your friend owns the place. Si?

On your last trip did you try any of the places mentioned in the Santo Domingo Casas report or visit any of the spots on the Map of Santo Domingo? Believe it or not there are much better places in Santo Domingo than Bar360. Sorry dude, but it is the truth.

Dude,

I've been to DR 9 times and counting (number 10 coming up in OCT), I've been to most of the places discussed on this board. I'm relaying a message from my buddy to everyone that reads the board. If you come into the bar via a taxi or a guide, don't expect him to budge off the 3500 price. Simple as that, he is running a business and would like to accomodate the peso pinchers on this board but if you come in with a taxi driver or guide don't expect a break.

I have no financial interest in the bar. I'm just hoping my friend can have a go at his place.

With that said, I met a couple of guys off the board the last time i was down there and talked to a couple of you on the phone. As for you BQ, I called you when I was down there but did not get an answer.

Personally I don't frequent the Casa's anymore (but to each his own) even though I had a good time at the Bar hanging out for a long time with the girls.

I'm tired of the Casa's and find it more fulfilling to get a "regular" girl go on a date and see what happens, sometimes it takes a day or 2 but so far never struck out. I've got the names and numbers of a bunch of different girls that I can get in touch with at anytime for a good time and always have my girlfriend.

I've got a hotel in the zone that online looks nice, Aparta Roma. A small efficiancy with a kitchen for 45 a night no tax if paid in cash.

Does anyone no of anyplace cheaper? W/Air?

I am sure Cagep1967 is working with his friend to get us a special price, lets say 1500 pesos , a free beer and a ham and cheese sandwich. He can post on classified ads section something like this: " St. Valentine special: one chica, a free Presidente and a heart shaped red balloon for only 1500 pesos. Offer valid for WSG members only" or "The threesome special: 2 girls, 3 beers, 2 ham and cheese sandwiches and a double head balloon dildo for 3000 pesos". They can change to turkey ham on thanksgiving.

But, seriously, if 360 intend to get business from WSG their actual price scale is inadequate, there are some price strategies that can help 360 get customers from WSG market. They may get less revenue per capita but more economies of scale and a bigger cut from monger market pie.

LMAO, don't you have work to do with your map Mr. PI?

Seriously who in their right mind would pay RD3500 for some chica when the next night the same chica is available for RD1000 on Independencia. Makes no sense to me, none at all.

Great, I got 32 trips under the belt so I am no newbie. It would be nice if you could talk about something other than Bar360.

32 trips? Wow, I have 17 only. So lets talk about Bar 360. I read about this place before my last trip so I decided to take a walk on zona colonial to find it on July. While walking a guy in front of a place was waving his hands to me like saying "come here" without talking. Maybe he was Cagep1967, I don't know (kidding Cagep1967), but the guy was very discrete. I decided not to enter, was not on the mood at that specific moment, at age 40 I only think of sex like 23 hours a day. Trips 18 and 19 will be before year end, maybe after ending my master degree by October end and on Xmas.

Didn't see the camera until i was 20 or so minutes into the session, I was kind of thankful that the security came when he did, otherwise I would have. :-) Novia a bit embarrased.

I've got a hotel in the zone that online looks nice, Aparta Roma. A small efficiancy with a kitchen for 45 a night no tax if paid in cash.

Does anyone no of anyplace cheaper? W/Air?

I know of a 3 bedroom apartment near the malecon, but with no air.Saw this one online when I was looking a while back, 90 per night with A/C:

http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p207018

This one says it has A/C in the Zona Colonial, 35-45 per night: http://www.dwellan.com/do/01/3578_en.html

Also bars on windows don't always stop thieves. Not sure if the apartments have safes. If you bring a laptop buy a cable lock, (if there is no safe or the safe is too small for your laptop). Some cheapy apartments and hotels skimp on security. As Knowledge has previously posted: "Be aware, be very aware"

Great, I got 32 trips under the belt so I am no newbie. It would be nice if you could talk about something other than Bar360.About 25 trips. I went to Bar360 with Mr. Gogo and then a second time with a Dominican friend. The night I went with MrGogo, I had fun, I was dancing with some cute chicas. The second night was not so good, only one semi-unfriendly chica. I did meet some cute waitress in Bar360 who works in a restaurant on the next corner, nice restaurant seemed to have two floors, she gave me her number and email. What she was doing in Bar360, I don't know. I walked with her to the restaurant when she went back to work at the restaurant, maybe she was applying for a job at 360.

There are two sisters, maybe twins who live near 360. I saw them hanging out by the steps near the colmado that is adjacent to 360. Very cute chicas, but too young.

The restaurant on the corner of Calle Mercedes is Grill4Ever, on of the waiters in the restaurant was the bartender @ 360. Maybe that's why she was in there. The girls that work in the restaurant are the daughters/Nieces of the owner of the restaurant. One is cuter than the next. The next time I'm down I am going out with Anni (sp?) she is a bit older than her sistes but is very friendly/pretty and has a great smile.

When Virginia, an older lady, expat from the states and hostess for the restaurant worked there. I would bring her Starbucks coffee from the states (she said she missed it, I don't know why Dominican coffee is so much better) and get some free meals out of it. But sadly, I think she was just working there as a favor as she did not make much working there.

Overall good food, a little pricey.

I am going to SD November 5-9th for the 7th time in the past 3 years. I was there a few years ago in November and the election or carnival was going on and it was hard to get around or everything was closed for 2 days for the election. There was about 3 chicas after hiring a hotel cab driver to take us to every casa and cruise the streets.

Is there anything going on in SD that week that would cause a shutdown?

Please advse.

Constitution Day weekend...........

Probably the worst times for shut down in the DR would be Xmas, and Easter, Election Day. I have been in the DR for the smaller holidays and it was not that bad. One good thing there was very little traffic in SD.

Play it safe and stock up on booze and Presidentes.

I went to Santo Domingo Xmas December 25-31, 2006 and it was one of my best travels. A lot of girls go to visit relatives on Dec. 24 but most of them came back to make some money.

On Easter everybody is with relatives or on the beach so beach towns are good choices.

Any action in SD on Sundays or it is better to go BC for that day? SD is quiet on Sundays, kind of nice, not much traffic (they close part of the Malecon on Sundays, no cars, only pedestrians). The weekends at Boca Chica are filled with Dominicans and their families. There should be chicas available every night in SDQ. Boca Chica during the day on Sunday should be crowded.

During the daytime on Sunday, you will see more chicas at Boca Chica. Personally, I prefer not to be at a crowded beach, with a bunch of yabbering kids around me. If you have never been there before (Boca Chica) on Sunday, go and check it out, there should be some normal cute dominican chicas at the beach. You can sit at a lounge chair in front of one of the restaurants and the waiter will come and take your order (you can order drinks and/or food). Bathrooms in some of those beach side restaurants, hold your breath.

Just returned from a ling Labor Day weekend in SD. Stayed on the Colonial Zone, Hotel Mercure. I hadn't been down there for 2.5 years since my last visit. El Conde has changed quite a bit with fewer drinking holes, pretty much only located at either ends of the street (Grand's and the hotel at the other end). Drink prices are not very economical either. It is said that high taxes have closed a lot of the establishments.

I did hit a few girl bars; Girl House, Sky House and Lapsus, to name a few.
Prices all right on in earlier posts, usually $80 for 2-hour take out. There is a little dumpy bar behind the Jaruaga Casino that has so-so talent for RD $1500 on-site. Also, while street walkers aren't my bag the Independencia area and Mallecon by the BP station were packed with working girls, many fine looking.

The biggest rip is the cab drivers and prices to get from one area to another. RD $200 - $300 in those piece o shit cabs is a joke. $40 from the airport to Colonial Zone, non-negotiable.

..........El Conde has changed quite a bit with fewer drinking holes..........El Conde has changed a little although it never really was or is a place to go drinking. One thing SD really does not have is a good drinking hole. I have never found a Classicos, Merengue Bar, or even a Dominios Bar in SD like there are in Sosua. I really don't think there will ever be one as puta chasing is low key in SD compared to So Sewer the puta capital of the DR.

...There is a little dumpy bar behind the Jaruaga Casino that has so-so talent for RD $1500 on-site.......Would that be Aurora? A pinkish color outdoor bar with a few chicas. Aurora is really a hit or miss, most times it is a miss. I never knew they did on-site as I always prefer take out. Aurora is RD1800 take out.

....Also, while street walkers aren't my bag the Independencia area and Mallecon by the BP station were packed with working girls, many fine looking.....I used to think the same way. Recently I found out you can really find some gems in that crowd of street walkers. The main thing you need to spend some time interviewing the chica first. I don't speak Spanish but with limited Spanish and watching the chica's response you will find a winner.

They must have seen "gringo" written on your forehead. RD150 is the taxi price to anywhere in centro SD during the day and some cabies will up it to RD200 at night.

It is a fixed $40 rate at the airport. There are a few ways to get cheaper transpo to SD but not sure if it is worth the hassle. You can also have a cabbie waiting for you at the same price or rent a car for one day. A car can be picked up at the airport and dropped off in centro SD the next day for $40US +/-.

Fixed price is $40, I usually say "thanks, I am going to call somebody". They always go down to $35. I have a guy that pick me up for $25. This is the rate most taxi companies outside airport will charge you. There are some taxi guy numbers posted here before that can give you a good price.

They were charging $17 over a year ago when I stayed there. I complained after my first chica arrived and the lobby guy pointed to the wall behind him showing the new visit fee which was $8 and told him that they were going to lose business from single travelers. Five chicas visited me that time, I was charged only one time. I prefer to stay near malecon area.

The Jaragua Casino corner bar usually has a live band every night. Some people will get up and dance. Monte Cristo Cafe may have live music some nights: http://www.montecristocafe.com.do/.

While doing the tour for street chicas at night, I'll drive down the Malecon and make the right at that gas station after the Hilton (BP gas station?) and then up to Ave. Independencia where I'll make another right onto Ave. Independencia. About two blocks from that gas station, there is a plaza on the left hand side of Ave. Independencia. On the second floor of that Plaza there is a club/discoteca that sometimes has live music. I am not sure of the name of it and never went into it, maybe Platinum. When they are open there are usually a good number of cars parked outside. I parked outside to go in one night and guys in the street where telling me some woman was singing there and that there was a cover charge, not sure if I understood them correctly but I thought they said the cover charge was something like mil pesos. I'll pay a cover charge to hear live music but not mil pesos in some discoteca (maybe I misunderstood them about the price).

After finding out I can't get to Sosua on my trip, only Santo Domingo, I had my eyes set on entertaining two friends in Boca Chica. But given their standards of my friends are quite high it's looking like the better path is a nice girl-friendly hotel in Santo Domingo with a great ocean view, and day-trips to beach-towns.

Question:

1) I have never been to DR ... would you classify the ladies in Santo Domingo on the same scale as the Colombia ladies, which I consider to be the most beautiful in the world.

2) Is there a driver with an SUV anyone can suggest who can take the three of us around for three days so I don't have to deal with cabs?

3) Who can I call ahead of time (Australia? We speak Spanish) to set up company for the three of us ... I'd rather plan ahead.

4) What's the nicest girl-friendly hotel in Santo Domingo with ocean view? I'm thinking Hilton based on what I've read.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

1) Dominican women are very beautiful, but everyone has different tastes.

2) I have a friend (licensed Taxi driver) with a minivan who can drive you around anywhere you like. He can pick you up at the airport and be at your disposal the whole time you are in country.

3) No real need to call ahead, stop by some of the higher end girl houses and bars and pickup what you need. There is a very good map in the guide also the cab drivers knows all the spots.

4) The Hilton is very nice, however, they charge $30 us for every girl brought in. The other casino hotels don't charge for non registered girls to enter. Search the site, also search the internet, then call the hotel directly and ask.

If you can PM me with your contact information, I can forward you the number to the taxi driver and you can make your deal directly with him.

If you and your friend's standards weren't "quite high" you would probably be receiving more responses. I don't believe there are too many high rollers on this board. I know I am not one.

Don't even think about going to Calle Duarte in Boca Chica............

You can Google search for a chauffeur. Taxi Dominicano has mini vans but should be able to hook you up with a driver and SUV.

Jaragua Hotel/Casino, although not guest friendly, is a very nice 4* hotel. Most of the high class hotels are NOT guest friendly. You can easily have your chauffeur drive you and the chicas to a cabana. All of the hotels on the malecon (George Washington Ave) have rooms facing the ocean. Bear in mind Santo Domingo does not have a beach so your view will not be one of palm trees and white sand.

I think the chicas in rep dom are beautiful, but that is my opinion. With a paid membership you can view the chicas in the photo gallery and also receive PM.

Just curious, why would you want to have chicas sight unseen waiting for you and your friends?

In another thread there was mention of a place called Total Satisfaction. From my understanding this is a high class all inclusive resort. Maybe something like this would be better for you and your friends.

Now if you just want to have a fun weekend get a couple of rooms at Riazor or Duque Wellington. Go to the corner of Delinge and Independencia and talk to a cabbie. Get his business card and call him when you need transpo. He can show you everything there is to do in SD. For a night of fun drinking go to calle durate in BC, grab an outside table and just chill.

To be honest it is tough the first few times in SD especially when you just have a few days to spend. As previously mentioned, Sosua would have been the place to go for a first trip.

Must be a new Australia in the making. The other night I called a chica I knew from last trip. She shows up with another chica and did the lift blouse, touch titty thing right in my hotel room.

I thought of your post when this happened. I gave them cab money to leave as I don't like surprise chica visits and she did not have melons, more like cranberries.

Two girls means two ham and cheese sandwiches, clearly out of budget. Cranberries are good for your health, LOL.

Back in 1998, in my first Santo Domingo trip (with my brother) a coworker of my brother played a joke telling him about a place to visit. It was supposed to be a nice strip club with the "best girls of santo domingo". So one night we took a taxi to Felix Cachet super club. We arrived and a couple of ugly ladies who were seated pinched my buttocks while walking to the bar. Best cheap ice cold beer of all my travels to SD but ugly girls. We left after the first beer. I was chatting with a dominican lady friend a few minutes ago and I told her about that adventure and she told me that this place still exist and that is located in Villas Agricolas. Is that place the bar near Casa Australia?

Took the novia to Barcelo Capella this weekend in Juan Dolio. Accomodations were pretty nice...food was good. Lots of Dominicans. I originally booked the room for 1 through a consolidator and I paid about 2700p to add her for 2 nights.

Taxi from SDQ city center, to airport, to the resort was 1300p (novia arranged it).

As I was with her all weekend, that's all the fun stuff I have to tell you.

I was in Colonia Tropical which is part of Barcello Capella on 2006, paid $105 daily for a double. I stayed four days in malecon area before staying at Colonia/Capella. When my cousin and I went to the bar/beach area we were very sorry to be there because no girls at sight, only a bunch of old europeans. Things later changed, we saw a cutie at the beach, two dominican girls that were trying to getting our attention. My cousin was with her mouth wide open, surprised. One of the girls was a chica we met a year before so he called the girl by her name and she gave him a big hug and introduced me to the other girl. They later told us that because Capella is a relatively economical all inclusive hotel, it is the favorite of some chicas to get clients. Most times they earn enough money to pay their stay and to get some additional money from hotel clients they offer their services. They told us there were 3 other girls at other room, one of them we also met on the trip we met her.

My cousing took his girl to our room and I went to their room with the other chica, the girl gave me full service including anal for $40 dollars. Later we met with the other girls and one was making suggestive tongue movements to me , so after buffet we went to their room, my cousin was with a girl and I was with sexy tongue girl which show me the sexiest round firm butt I have ever fucked. Another $40 dollar and we can't be happier, we found unexpected sex services without going out the hotel. We hang out with the girls at the disco until it closed.

Next day we received an early wake up call. It was one of the girls we met at the capital city a few days before, she told us she can come with her sister. She was pretty and I told her ok, I am going to be on blind date with her sister, heheh. Her sister was even prettier than her, we went to the beach area and brought each girl five or six beers from hotel beach bar before security discovered us and gave a chance of not to bill girl beers.
We walked by the beach outside the hotel to Colonia villas and managed to get the girls to our room by paying 5 dollars to lobby guy. Colonia villas do not have any all inclusive facility so do not have any security guard.

I have mongered in many places (recently traveled to Medellin, Colombia four times in 2008). This will be my first monger trip in Santo Domingo. I will be staying in a nice apartment in Santo Domingo (2 bedrooms/bathrooms) between December 29-Jan 3, 2009. Can any give me any information regarding mongering clubs, strip clubs, other mongering venues, etc? Also, if anyone will be in Santo Domingo during the NYE holiday season, do you mind if I tag along (lack of experience in this region)?

Your response is greatly appreciated.

I hear you.

Main reason I ask is that for a first trip to the DR Sosua seems to be a better place to start. In Santo Domingo you need to know where to go and some spots will require taxis. In Sosua you walk out the hotel door and chicas are waiting within walking distance day and night.

If you have not bought your plane ticket yet do a little reading on the Sosua thread.

You are certainly right, them Dominicanas are hot!

Hmmm. thats interesting. I hooked up with a fellow monger during my recent trip to SDQ who was staying at the Hilton. He told me all they asked was for the girls ID and nothing more.
Me and my buddy stayed at the casa du wellington on Independencia. Nice little hotel for $45 per nite and 200 peso guest fee. Street girls right outside the hotel and good food places right next to it. Also girls house and more girls casas at walking distance.

The price for unregistered guests are posted on their website. I been asked to pay a fee for bringing my Novia's kid to the pool. Ridiculous, I just tell them we are eating lunch. The restaurant is on the same level as the pool and I haven't been hassled. This trip, I'm going to try and get the mother, daughter, niece and nephew to the pool. Without paying a fee. I'll let you know what happens.

Hotel Duque de Wellington has a good location and it is right where the street girls are. I have read on some travel forums that Duque de wellington is gay friendly. Do you sense that kind of atmosphere while there?

Next to Wellington is another hotel which I do not remember the name right now, it is available for short term and daily as Mystik. My room was nice, clean with a confortable bed (I used it for 3 hours).

Yes I did see a drag queen from NY taking a young Dominican guy to her room. They did not seem to bother. The rooms in the first floor are nicer/cooler.
The hotel next to Wellington has really small rooms and is only good for short term. But the bar downstairs looked nice and big. Mystik quoted high prices for daily like $65 or so.

Great trip, no complaints. I'll post some information here about La Romana and Bayahibe. I like La Romana and I really like Bayahibe. Good street signs in La Romana, with small arrows telling you the direction of car travel. Best bar in La Romana is Marinellys on Avenida Santa Rosa, about three blocks up from Jumbo. I'll post some photos of the bars shortly. Profesionales is a small local bar, where I met a local girl and her sister. 75 pesos for a large presidente.

Two other local bars are Urban and Tony, they are across the street from one another. These two bars specialize in big booty bartenders. There are at least 20 bartenders in Urban, they stand on plastic presidente cases (sort of like like plastic milk carton cases), so their body is viewable above the bar. 75 pesos for large presidentes with small plastic cups, place was packed with locals. No bartender with a small ass, minimum weight had to be 130 pounds. While drinking you have the crotches of the bartenders who are in front of you, at eye level and behind those bartenders you can see the asses of the other bartenders. The bartenders will come down and dance with a guy, they do some grinding, then they return to the bar. All local guys in Urban bar, be careful. Across the street from Urban is Tony, with photos of Tony from Scarface, smaller bar, same type of thing with ten bartenders who stand somewhat above the bar.

Klimax is a large brothel in La Romana. 4000 pesos. The place looks like a casino from the outside, lots of flashing lights. Inside about 40 rooms on two floors, at least 20 chicas. No haitians, light skin chicas and morenas. Some very fine chicas there. Super aggressive. I had like 7 chicas fondling me after I walked in. Their is a large pool near the bar. One chica reached under my boxers and was stroking my dick, while I was standing at the bar, with other chicas around and she was showing her tits and tota. Just about every chica shows her tits and lets you get a small sample. I was told there are 5 or 6 brothels in La Romana. Another brothel is called Deseo, but I did not go.

Illusiones brothel in Juan Dolio is now called Caprichios. The VIP club on the main highway in Juan Dolio, the sign is down, I never saw that place open.

1000 peso chicas on Ave. Independencia near the Isla Gas Station and Malecon, I chatted with one, attractive, she asked for mil pesos, another two attractive chicas offered a happy hour for 1200 pesos each.

Used that Cabana nearest to the Hilton, froze my ass off, I couldn't figure out how to shut off the A/C. I woke up freezing and left. Cabanas were packed Saturday night.

Coppa discoteca was packed. I left at 3am and plenty of chicas were waiting in line to get in. I drove past it at 6am and there were people around.

You can get a fake cedula for 3000 pesos.

In La Vega, Cacique is a nice bar and across from Cacique is another bar with plenty of chicas.

I do not miss the motoconchos wizzing by me while driving and the noise. I did a tour of zona oriental at night, plenty of people out at night. Of course the Policia Nacional asked me to pull over twice in Zona Oriental, but they were nice.

Street walkers on Avenida St. Vincent de Paul, be careful, some look like transvestites.

Bought bathing suits at la sirena and jumbo for various chicas, cost 300 to 400 pesos each. Some of the dominican chicas are great, some ask for nothing and give great service. I saw no other Americans in Bayahibe or La Romana.

I'll post photos shortly.

LOL, I'm a diamond member and they basically do what I like. I'll through the security guard on the 5th floor like 20 bucks to look the other way.

Also, I've never really seen any large number of people in their pool. It's real nice up there but never crowded. The room rates are pretty cheap (this happens alot when demand is down) this weekend so I think it will be pretty empty.

Thanks for a report that gets out into the rest of the country beyond the same few places most of us write about. Looking forward to the pictures.Thanks. Here are some photos of some of the bars I visited, non-sexy photos. It may be useful for other guys if they venture to some of these bars, they will have an idea what the places look like.

In Coppa discoteca in the Hotel Melia, I always use the same waiter, light skin Dominican named Osvaldo. I tip him well, he gets me a table with chairs. When I go there alone he can go and make introductions for me to any available chicas.

In Manolos I am friendly with the waiter named Cervantes and another older guy who speaks English, I believe his name is Luis, good guys.

I visted Baby Dolls for two beers, some attractive chicas, some girls show their tits and some give a quicky lap dance for free. The stairs to the second are finished.

I visited La Parada for one beer, decent lineup, girls seemed bored. After getting groped and touched by the chicas in Klimax in La Romana, the girls in La Parada and Baby Dolls were not aggressive.

I also visted Bar 360 two times. One night around 2am, I rang the bell and the owner opened the door. A drunk Filipino guy was taking the cleopatra looking chica upstairs to a room. The second time I visited Bar 360 was earlier in the evening, a few girls. The owner was offering me some kind of special.

The Cabana I used, is the first one you encounter when heading west on the Malecon from the Hilton, maybe the name is Bueno Cabana. I pulled into the Cabana around 3am after having been at the Coppa disco. There was only one open garage door. Pulled my car in, closed the garage door, the room is up a flight of stairs. Some loud, old time, slow Spanish music was playing in the room. I eventually found the control panel for the lights and the music, near the lamp adjacent to the bed. The phone rang and the chica who works at the cabana had a soft sexy voice. I ordered a small bottle of coca cola. I payed around 800 pesos or something for the room and the coca cola, there was no bill (cuenta) written on paper, the guy near the small door told me the price. I couldn't understand him. I gave him a thousand peso bill and got some change. The chica who I was with was drinking tequila and vodka and of course she had to have me try her drinks. That girl was a biter, my lips were swollen afterwards, from her biting and sucking hard on my lips. Great girl, no fee. Sex, fell asleep and woke up freezing. Only sheets on the bed. I had to get dressed and leave to escape the freezing air conditioning. Drove the chica home at 6am and then drove to another city.

La Vega has a million motorcycles and scooters, zipping around all the time. Some buses now have six headlights, not fun when they are behind you on a twisty one lane in each direction road, at night. Some drivers never lower their high beams.

Bathrooms in some places, interesting how some places design their bathrooms. The bathroom in Marinelly bar was very nice. In Urban bar, very small bathroom, where guys line up side by side and [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) onto ceramic tile that is raised about two and half feet off the floor. Urban bar stays open late after the curfew as does Marinelly bar. Klimax also open late.

The corner bar in the casino at the Hotel Jaragua usually has the band in the photo. The one singer seems to have beautiful breasts.

Good to see you back and posting again. Another one here waiting to see some pics. You sure do cover every square inch of that island...........Thanks, I can't match your photographs. I'll post a few more photopgraphs of the places I visited. I stayed in an all inclusive hotel in Bayahibe, 539 dollars for 6 nights and seven days which included airfare (direct flights on jetblue from jfk to sdq), landed in sdq at 10am (returning flight to jfk left at 8pm), (I used promo code entertain200, to knock two hundred dollars off the cost of the trip using orbitz.com), rented a car and drove to Bayahibe. Excellent all inclusive hotel. The waitresses wear tight white pants, good views morning, noon and night.

Some chica I met online, I invited to her to Bayahibe, she took like three publicos to get to Bayahibe, between two to three hours for her to get there from santo domingo. I waited for her in Bayahibe near the super colmado bayahibe which is across from an area where the publicos congregate. I was sitting waiting in my car for her to arrive, when at least six chicas walked by. They went into the colmado (the colmado has some seats on the inside and on the outside). I decided to get a presidente and a claro card. One chica was friendly and sexi, but I couldn't do anything because I didn't want to get busted by the chica who was arriving from sdq.

The sdq chica arrived, tall, morena, slim, nice body, nice thick lips. It was my first time meeting her in person. I drove her to the public beach, but she said she wanted to change her clothes in the hotel room. I did not see any cabanas in Bayahibe, it was around 3pm when she arrived and I didn't want to pay 45 dollars to get her a day pass at the all inclusive hotel for only a few hours. The day before, I stopped off at the hotel bayahibe and asked if I could rent a room for a few hours, the guy said sure, mil pesos.

I took the chica to hotel bayahibe, bbbjcim. Her lips are great, the biter. I gave her 500 pesos transportation money and dropped her off in La Romana.

That night I went for the second time with my wingman to Klimax after first experiencing Urban and the other bars.

My wingman had two light skin chicas stuck on him in Klimax. One so cute, from Santiago, 19 years old, no kids, nice smooth soft skin. My wingman put one chica up on the bar in front of him, with her legs open and he did the gynecological exam. At the same time he had the other light skin chica stuck to his side, his fingers did some exploring, the cute chica popped out her tits to show me.

I had a semi unattractive morena sit next to me, I had busted a nut earlier so I was tranquil. I bought the girl sitting next to me a beer, massaged her ass and she was stroking my dick above my pants. There was a television in front of me with CDN2, the Dominican news. My wingman to my right playing with two chicas at the bar, morena to my left stroking my dick and I am watching protests and burnning tires and police grabbing people on the dominican news. The juxtaposition of things can be a little bizarre sometimes.

Earlier in the trip I met a chica and her sister at profesionales bar in la romana, 19 and 21 years old. Kissed the 21 year old the night I met her, then I did the swithero for the younger sister at the public beach in Bayahibe. I invited the sisters to the beach and they met me in La romana with a 19 year female cousin of theirs. The cousin was dark, cute, very nice breasts. They had no bathing suits so we went shopping in Jumbo. Most dominican chicas can't swim very well. Get them into the ocean with you at the beach and they will hold onto you for dear life. Good chance to do some touchy feely, which may lead to other things.

Good amount of boats in Bayahibe, many with new dual outboard yamaha engines. A few large catamarans. Seems many tourists are bussed in to bayahibe so that they can take trips to saona island.

Thanks for taking the time to report and post pics. You are an inspiration for people to travel to the non-tourist areas. I still don't know how you can cover so much ground in so little time. By far you are the most traveled person on this forum.

With all the fishing boats in Bayahibe do you know if they offer fishing trips, not the real expensive charters?

What section of SD is Zona Oriental?

Curious, out of all the chicas you hook up with how many get a second chance. LOL

Thanks, your photos are much better. A bunch of panga style boats in Bayahibe, many with dual outboard engines. When you drive along the area where the boats are, various guys in the street will try to talk with you. I am sure you can arrange a fishing trip. Not sure what they are catching there. I have attached some photos of the area where the boats are in Bayahibe. In La Romana there is an inlet or a small river that has many yachts docked there, probably some 40 foot or bigger fishing boats there as well.

Zona Oriental is on the other side of the river, north of the Faro Colon. Mega Centro Mall is located in Zona Oriental, Carretera Mella and Ave. St. Vincent de Paul. From the malecon take the pontoon bridge to avenida espana towards the airport, at the end of Avenida Espana, don't get on the highway toward the airport, stay on that road and it will turn left and head North, that road might be Ave. Charles de Gualle, take that road north, eventually you will pass the road called San Isidro (I may be wrong about the name) it has a bunch of cabanas on it, then you will reach Carretera Mella, trun left and that will bring you towards Mega Centro mall and Ave. St. de Paul and after Avenida St. Vincent de Paul is Avenida Venezuela which has bars, the most popular of which is called House Drink or something like that. Lots of chicas live in Zona Oriental, I had drinks with one chica and her cousin in the Jaragua Casino. Afterwards I offered to drive her home and she said no, "Mucha delincuencia", she was saying there is allot of delinquency in Zona Oriental. I was glad anyway she took a taxi.

The night I drove on Carretera Mella I was coming from Santiago and La Vega, I parked my car on the northeast corner of Carretera Mella and Ave Charles de Gual to buy a soda and a claro card at a colmado. Some dominican ripped off another Domonican and they were chasing the thief east on Carretera Mella.

Also heard some scary stories about thieves crashing into cars when entering Santo Domingo from the North, the driver gets out after the accident, and thieves rob and sometimes kill the driver.

Supposedly about 4-5 months ago some guy got shot in killed in the Hotel Melia or in the Coppa Discoteca. The Shooter supposedly had the gun under his hat.

Thanks for taking the time to report and post pics. You are an inspiration to travel to the non-tourist areas.

LOL

Dear Jaosousa,

I think everyone appreciates your reports as I do, but these last pictures are useless. Where are the chicassss! No Offense. I don't see much reports about LA ROMAMA. Do you know why? Is it because there no Romana thread? As you can see I'am not a veteran of DR but I keep in touch with this board as often that I can not to miss any opportunity when I go to DR.I hear you bro.

OK on Zona Oriental now, I know where you are talking about. I stayed at Aurora Sol once which is in that area on Mella I beleive. The hotel was nice but there was nothing close by. At night you have to drive to go anywhere and I like drinking Prez and Brugal so I don't drive when it gets dark.

Coming from SD you would have to cross a really, really tall bridge and I believe that would put you in the area you are talking about.

Thanks for the photo comments but I found for better pics get a better camera. I bought a Canon G9 a little over a year ago. It has a retractable lens and is not bulky like the "tourist" cameras. I can attach it to my belt using a case and if I wear my shirt outside my pants I just look like I am packing. The G9 is automatic with manual over rides which I never use. Even the chicas like taking pictures with the camera.

An old trick I have been using is to give my camera to a Dominicano/a and let them take the pictures. Dominicans love having and taking pictures. I have loaned my camera out, sit and drink beer, thirty minutes later I have over a hundred candid photos.

I will PM you a link to what I am talking about.

Now, why didn't you answer my last question? LOL LOL LOL How many of these chicas do you actually see a second time?

I know your wingman must have been glad to get home and get some rest........hehehehe

I went once to Ave. Venezuela, it was Xmas and a few companies were celebrating with their employees, visited like eight places by walking, it was nice. My cousin visited the area a few months later and he said the scene was completely different, a little scary.

East and North Santo Domingo have the most dangerous barrios but you can find problems everywhere.

Also heard some scary stories about thieves crashing into cars when entering Santo Domingo from the North, the driver gets out after the accident, and thieves rob and sometimes kill the driver..

I saw an incident like this in a morning I was entering Santo Domingo from Santiago last July. A car crashed between two parked cars with people inside, the "accident" was obviously intentional. I do not know what happened later, my bus was like 1,000 mph so can't see how the incident finished.

Supposedly about 4-5 months ago some guy got shot in killed in the Hotel Melia or in the Coppa Discoteca. The Shooter supposedly had the gun under his hat.

Everybody has guns in Santo Domingo. I was surprised to see a box full of guns from clients on a visit to Dollhouse a few years ago. I am not surprised a person was killed inside a place with detectors. A police friend showed how easy is to get a gun inside any place, even with metal detectors.

Afterwards I offered to drive her home ....

I am glad no kitten was accidentally killed or damaged on this travel. LOL.

On some streets in Santo Domingo they have 15 foot obelisk style things with the names of the street. Avenida George Washington is also known as the Malecon. Some large streets in Santo Domingo are named after former American presidents.

Coppa disco has a balcony where you can go to smoke. I believe all casinos in Santo Domingo are now non-smoking, as are just about every bar that I visited in Dom Rep, non-smoking.

A catamaran and a panga style fishing boat with 4 Yamaha outboard engines in Bayahibe, the water was flat.

I think the street you want is not San Isidro but rather Charles de Gaulle. I have spent some time in the Zona Oriental and it is dangerous at night. But there are a lot of truly DSominican hotspots if you have the cajones.

But there are a lot of truly DSominican hotspots if you have the cajones.Autopista San Isidro has a bunch of cabanas on it, all lit up with flashing lights. South of Carretera Mendoza on St. Vincent de Paul I saw probably two or three street chicas on every block. If you continue south on St. Vincent de Paul it will bring you to the Faro Colon which has a street around it that will eventually put you back on Avenida Espana.

Saturday night Zona Oriental had a lot of people out. The streets can be a little dark in some places, some places not much lighting.

One night I drove into La Romana from Bayahibe and the drug police had a road block near the La Romana airport. They stopped and searched every car. I had to get out of my car, empty my pockets and they searched my car. The guys were nice.

I was told to pull over twice by the National Police in Zona Oriental in the span of about thirty minutes. On those two occasions the National Police were standing in the street and as I approached they signaled me to pull over and then walked over to my car. I guess probable cause for them to pull me over, was that I was a foreigner. They were nice, I chatted with them for a few minutes and they told me to be careful (cuidado).

The colmado (good sized colmado right on the corner with good lighting) I used in Zona Oriental was on the north west corner of Ave. Charles de Gaulle and Carretera Mella and on the south east corner of that intersection a bunch of people were hanging out, when I saw some guy being chased west on Carretera Mella and then saw two National Police on a motorcycle take off after them.

Hotel:

Stayed at the Mercure Hotel in zona colonial. I paid 65 USD per night. They told me if I wanted to bring a guest to the room, they would charge additional 17 USD. I did bring back two girls on two consecutive nights and they did not charge me. The room was small but nice, it was a very quiet and the bed was big and comfortable. Location is good.

Bars:

Visited Hard Rock Cafe each night I was there (Fri,Sat,Sun). They have a band that plays good rock music. Plenty of women there late on Saturday night. Also visited some bars on Atarazana Ave in the zona colonial.

Visited numerous bars on Ave Venezuela. This is good place to speak with locals and get to know the lay of the land. Someone told me to visit the clubs off of Ave Lincoln in the Naco district. I had a taxi drive me by and it has alot of potential to meet a pro/non-pro.

Also visited Coppa Disco each night that I was there. The disco gets crowded at around 230am. I picked up a non pro at this place Saturday. She is a student at USAD. She could use some money for her studies, so it was a fair trade.

Santo Domingo is a good place to pick up non pros. I walked around UNIBE and USAD and got alot of inviting looks. The hardest thing about Santo Domingo is the Taxi situation. I can get costly if you don't plan your day correctly. I was spending about 1500 pesos a day on taxis. You may want to consider renting a car if you plan on exploring the area. The city does not seem too hard to navigate.

Happy hunting!

Sports Bar: Five Star International Sport Bar, Eagle Sport Bar

Restaurants: David Crockett, Porterhouse

Shopping: Acropolis Mall, China town.

The two restaurants are they steak houses?

Expreso Vegano? Is that a bus depot? If so what areas do they travel to.

Thanks again for the great map.

These two restaurants are steakhouses, some US visitors have rated David Crockett steaks as their best ever, the place is expensive and sometimes you need reservations to get a table.

Expreso Vegano is a non stop route to La Vega.

Anybody know the exact location of La Base Sport Bar and Metros Sport Bar. I know they are on Ave Espana and the other on San Isidro #whatever but I need more detailed info, for example, Ave Espana near x avenue corner. Both Avenues are miles long.
