Ok,
To prevent wasting anyones time this report is broken down into parts. Listed below are the titles and numbers of each part. Obviously either read the entire report or skip to your desired section.
My trip to DR was business/pleasure, so this is not an ¨all inclusive¨ report. Take from it what you will. Next to the title of each section I have an EXTREMELY brief
explanation of each.
Part 1-Ho Houses (Decent read, but nothing out of the ordinary. My experience was similar to many others here on the board. Nor am I a hardcore monger so I did not visit ALL the casas, etc.)
Part 2-Normal chicas pick up spots (If you want to meet non pros read, if not, dont read)
Part 3-My newspaper AD and amigos.com (Worth the read, for long and short stays)
Part 4-Guide information (My guide Carlos, speaks english and spanish and will take care of just about any need you may have. Good guy to know)
Part 5-Hotel info (Info on a few hotels I stayed in)
PART 1- Ho Houses
Remington Palace:
-2000 take out, price never changed the entire time I was there.
-All the chicas promised TLN, non actual did it. On avg. they stayed about 2 hours.
-Any given night there would be 30-60 chicas, mostly 6-8s in quality, a few 9s
-Personally my favorite ho house simply because there is a HUGE variety to choose from, and the atmosphere is like a disco.
Lapsus:
-2500 take out
-I never took anything out
-About 8-12 girls, mostly 5-7s
Tabu:
-1800 take out
-Took 2 out at once for 3000 total, they stayed about 3 hours.
-About 8 girls in total most of them dogs, maybe 2 or 3 OK
-Only reason I even went back to this place to see if anything new was there was because of the ¨grimey environment¨. When you walk into this place you KNOW you are in a ho house. The second you sit down, chicas start grabbing on your dick, kissing your ears, etc. They basically let you know that YES they are hoes and YES they need you to pick them so they can get that commision. Nothing worse then walking into a ho house and the girls act as if they are paying you to get spoken to, fucked, etc.
Aurora:
-1800 take out (As I remember).
-About 8 girls in total, most of them dogs, maybe 2 decent.
-Only took one girl from here. I only took her because she was cute and we worked out a deal were I would wait for her to get off at only give her 1000. Lastly, she would let me cum on her face at will, a MAJOR selling point.
Casa de Modelos:
-2500 Take out
-Never took anything. About 10 girls, mostly 6-7s
Spa Michele:
-2000 in house, not sure about take out -About 7 girls. mostly 4-6s.
-Had a beer, then left, never took anything.
Mona Lisa:
-Quoted something like 5000 or 6000 to take out (Dont ask me why its so expensive).
-About 10 girls, 6-8´s.
-Not sure what the hype is about this place. I guess the main thing that turned me off was the second I sat down to have a beer at least 2 girls just walked up and in spanish said ¨give me a tip¨. I said no, finished my beer, then left.
-Obviously never took anything out.
Casa Teresa:
-2500 for 2 hours, on site. 5000 for take out, all night.
-Another place I thought would be better after all the hype.
-15 girls, 6-8´s.
-Only reason I stayed I met as they were closing. So she stayed the whole night for 2500.
Elegent Center
-3500 on site (1 hour and 15 mins)
-5000 take out
-12 girls, all 6-7s
-NOT worth visiting
-ONLY reason I continued going back was for 2 reasons.
1. My first night there I met a girl that wanted to fuck me just off general principle. I got her number, called her sunday (her day off), I fucked her for free.
2. I stumbled in there drunk one late saturday night (about 330am). I explained to the madam I wanted to fuck a particular chica BUT would only pay 2000 for on site, and that 2000 would INCLUDE my beer. She agreed.
Streetwalkers
They can be found on Independence Ave, Malecon, and around el conde at night. I sampled a few. Payed anywhere from 400-900. Mostly bad service. Independence has the highest concentration of SW´s
PART 2-Normal Chicas Pick up Spots (In no particular order)
El conde st (located in the colonial zone):
-TONS of normals girls walking up and down the street. Some semi pros mixed in so make sure you know what it is.
Bodegas:
-There are tons of bodegas throughout the city. Most the locals just go to drink and listen to music. You have to select one that is centrally located. In other words go to a bodega close or next to the local universities or hang outs.
-Most of the girls come in groups. If you have the balls, talk and something will come through.
Malecon aka George Washington st (During the early evening and NOT to late at night):
-On a busy saturday EARLY evening hang out at an outdoor resturant that is close to the main street. Just talk to the girls as they walk by. I knocked out a few chicas just saying hello as they walked by and taking it from there.
Discos:
-Way to many to mention, Disco Nowhere is in the Colonial Zone is a good start though.
Ave Venezuela:
-On Sunday starting at about 5pm, YES, 5pm, the entire street is lively.
-Ave. V, is located on the other side of the bridge, about 10-15 away.
-If you lack street smarts, dont like to venture out, or just plain scared then I would NOT recommend you go to the other side of the city.
-BUT if you do go, I would honestly say Ave. Venezuela is somewhat of a hiden gem for a few reasons.
1. The chicas are down home, and dont see or come into contact with maybe gringos.
2.They are easier to meet, less bullshit, because they are not on the tourist side of the city.
3. On Sunday starting at about 5pm the entire street is full of activity. There are about 4-5 clubs RIGHT next to each other. So the whole day into the evening females walk from one club to the next.
PART 3-The AD in the paper and Amigos.com
Thanks to my buddy Master Monger´s success with placing an ad in the paper I decided to give it a try.
Ok, I took an AD out in the Listin Diario, (The major paper in SD). The ad stated in spanish: Americano, 26, looking for female friends or maybe more, Ages 18-28, slim, model type, telephone number. I put the Ad in the paper for 4 days. It cost about 20 USD. Simply stated the response was great! Hands down I have to say this is the number 1 way to meet normal chicas with little to NO work.
Now for the numbers. Out of the 4 days the ad was in the paper, about 40 girls called. Ok, some of you may be thinking thats not much, which in actuality thats just ok. BUT more would have called, but numerous times I got so tired of the phone ringing I just simply turned it off.
The only thing that was bad for me was I placed the ad towards the tail end of my trip, so I honestly had no time to meet hardly any of the chicas that called. Here are some numbers again. In total I met 4 chics. 2 were worth fucking and the other 2 were not my type. The 2 that were worth fucking got fucked the very same night we met, (as is SHOULD be). So obviously the ad works.
For anyone interested I have a master list of the names, numbers and ages of most of the females that called from the ad. Im selling it for a small fee, PM me for details.
Amigos.com
I basically did the same on amigos.com I sent a bunch of ladies a generic note telling them about me, saying I want to meet friends, etc. I only met 1 of the females from amigos.com because I just didnt have the time to see the rest. The good thing about amigos.com is you can see what you are dealing with before you send them a note. I also have a master list of the amigos.com screen names and numbers for sale. PM me for details.
Out of the 2 methods I would hands down go with the ad in the paper. Why? It is fast, simple and the females chase YOU as opposed to the opposite.
But if I could do it all over again I would do the following. So many females are going to call from the ad its going to be almost impossible for you to meet all of them. Obviously the idea is to see as many as possible to sort through the dogs and the spinners. This is what I would recommend anyone do, to maximize your time and energy.
There is a good tour guide by the name of Carlos that helps tourist and guys that come down to SD. He basically hangs out on El Conde if front of Flores bar. If I could do it all over again this is EXACTLY what I would do.
1-Buy a cheap cell phone, use that number as the number you have in the Ad.
2-Go meet Carlos and have him place the ad in the paper for you. He speaks english and spanish. Explain to him physially what it is you are looking for.
3-Give him the cell phone for the number of days the ad will be in the paper.
4. Have HIM go meet and sort through all the chicas that call, basically seeking out only the spinners. At the end of the day go see him for your daily report on who to call and who to dump.
Carlos is a trustworthy guy that does not charge much for his services. I ONLY recommend him because I have dealt with him personally and some friends told me about him. This method would work because as opposed to going all over the city to met voices over the phone, have him do all the sifting and sorting for you.

PART 5-Hotel info (A few places I stayed)
Hotel Villa Italia:
-Ave Independencia, not sure of the number. Any taxi will know it.
-More of an apt hotel.
-They charge about 70 bucks a night.
-AC, hot water, no guest policy bullshit.
Hotel La Casona Dorada:

The peso is around 27-29 so 2,500 pesos is US$86-$93. Check your own figures before you chime in.
These guys don't even know what they are paying. Their monger licenses should be revoked. The more they pay, the more they screw it up for us.

Visited last evening, quiet nite, four chicas presented, nothing in the 8 and above category, chose Amanda - big smile and big ???? :)) - easily a 6 plus. The House wanted 3000 - talked down to 2000, on to a short shower, short massage, then we did it all with nothing left untouched or undone. Clean place. Would return if in the area.
It appears that the DR, at least in Santo Domingo, is a little more expensive than I expected. $86 for a massage is double to what one pays in Mexico.
However, will try to get there some time at the end of the month and will be staying at the Mercure Commercial. Hopefully, they don't have a strict girl policy as opposed to some of the resorts and other 4-5 star hotels.

whether it is or isn't a total nincompoop would pay $86 for a mp or anything else in the dr and just screws it up for the rest of us who try to pay sensible prices. and trust me they all are not that great in the capital. the whole god damn country is in the crapper right now with the peso meltdown and now a police action in boca chica.
Where is Juan Dollio in correlation to some good daytime action. This is my first time in SDQ. I have been spoiled by Sousa and I was wondering if I should just hop the bus and go to Sousa insted of staying in SDQ? My hotel is Juan Dollio, and I'm trying to see what is nearby.

juan dolio is near san pedro de marcoris.
it has a bar that is supposed to have some very good action named (i believe) the chocalate bar. there is also a strip club called illiusiones on the central highway near san pedro de marcoris. i was at the embassy suites hotel last weekend (nothing special) and a guy had a few hookers that he had taken out from the club. they were stunning; i have no idea what the rest of the club is like, however.
there is reasonable action on the malecon at san ****r de marcoris if you like non pros (or semi pros). there are a series of small bars there that close (thanks to the police) promptly at midnight. last weekend, i picked up a gorgeous 22 year old girl and took her back to the embassy suites. the trick was simply to have a beer, chat with her innocently and then ask her if she wanted a date after work. of the dozen or so young women who work these little bars, i would say about half are very pretty. as far as i could tell, all are available if you are not too crude in your invitation. these are not prostitutes, and offering them money will have the opposite of the desired effect. nevertheless, when all is said and done, they expect payment. my dominican cab driver said he would pay 1000 pesos, and that gringos are expected to pay 1500 pesos.
one word of warning. i was approached by an absolutely stunning girl who wanted to get to know me. now, this was not an explicit offer, but rather an invitation to sit drink and see what happens (as i said, these girls are not prostitutes, just girls who are interested in meeting foreigners, picking up a little extra cash and if lucky, finding a husband to take them out of the dr). when i asked her how old she was, i had to decline. remember that the age of consent in the dr is 18. i needn't tell you about the conditions of the jails in the dr! if there are any doubts, be certain to check the id card.

Sorry I did not realize you were looking for daytime action. I have to admit that I never found any. However, I had a two people ask me if I was interested (I kid you not) in their sister and neice, respectively. All I did was talk to the guy serving me sandwhiches at one of those street side grills and talk to a cab driver. in other words, I suspect that if you inquire about the action with enough people, someone will offer to find you an amiga. Its not exactly a pimp scene, but with a little patience, I am certain that you can score. Again, I suggest the Malecon in San Pedro de Marcoris as a place to hang out and find available girls. There is a pool hall there where there were a few really hot looking chicas.
In addition, there is a Casa (Casa Maria) in San Pedro. I was not happy with the selection, although my cab driver was in love with a tall big titted girl in white whom I thought was a bit overweight. The Casa may open up in the early afternoon- report back if you check out this option as I am curious. Chacun a son gout!
On the other hand, if you go back into Santo Domingo from Juan Dolio, there are MANY early afternoon options. I was in MonaLisa last week at 12:01 (only three girls were there) and Estafani at 12:10 (only one girl was there, but she was smoking hot. Unfortunately, she was just finishing with a customer and I was turned off by this). I settled for an incredibly gorgeous woman at Casa Michelles at 12:30.

Actually Juan Dolio is far closer to Boca Chica than to San Pedro and it is an all-inclusive resort town primarily and not worth a pinch to go there. San Pedro is for someone with good Spanish and a good awareness of non-tourist Dominican towns, especially at night.
And FWIW it is Sosua. Sousa was the composer of the Stars and Stripes Forever.

Great report! I love the newspaper ad idea - what a great little scheme!
I've done the amigos.com thing with solid sucess but haven't tried a newspaper ad. Might be worth a shot so as to avoid the "hard-core pros" and scoop up more gfe's.
Its also amazing how some of the casas have kept their prices "sky-high" despite the soaring peso. I paid rdp $4000 a few times last July, but the peso was 52 to 1. I went for the $77 because I saw a "notch" I really wanted to put in my belt but at an exchange rate of 28 to 1!? Rdp $5000 is something like $178. OMG! Eva Mendes would have to be working down there!!!
Hotel Villa Italia is near the gas station on Ave Independencia - I thought it was kind of a dump.

Those prices are much too high. I could easily go into a house and not pay more than DOP 2000. They will charge more if someone takes you there, whether it is a taxi driver or some Dominican guy walking you to the location. Is this what happened or did you walk in on your own? If you go alone it will be cheaper. believe me, even they know the prices are too high. Go during the middle of the week when they do not have much business. You'll see the prices drop. Also, go after 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning. By that time they should be aware that there isn't much business left.

Yes, you are right I paid rdp$4000 when I went with a driver. I liked him, was comfortable with him and didn't know the city well enough then. Next time I will go it alone.
Also I like to do an real all-night thing - would pick the girls up when alot of the places would just open (around 8:30 or 9:00) - they would tell me that by 1:00am the prices would plummet. All true!

I went to Santo Domingo last month. Sorry I did not post sooner, but I was having a really hard time logging on to wsg. I was sad to say that I was only able to stay about 4 days. But in those 4 days I had the time of my life.
First of all I would like to thank everyone for all the wonderful info given to me especially prty2 and freesex.
When I arrived I really wanted to meet up with prty2 and freesex but I missed them both. Maybe next time. I still owe you guys some drinks, I'll just buy the first one for you P, I heard stories about you lol. Well I stayed at the Residencia Hotel just across from Mona Lisa. This hotel is nothing spectacular, but all the employees are great people. They actually go out of their way to help you. I even made all of them really good friends. In actuallity a few of the guys were even trying to hook me up with girls they new, or local girls.
On my first night I ended up going to Don Pablos, there I picked up this short girl named Rossie. She was cute about 24, paid about 2000 dr. she gave me great gfe and was reallly cool. She gave me her number. On the second day I ended up going to Mona Lisa can't really recall the price I paid, but I hooked up with an 8. Forgot her name. She was really cool, took really good care of me and was always willing. She told me to give her a call later and maybe we could go out on a few dates outside of work. Just had to stay in another hotel so that her job was not jepordized.
I really can not recall all the girls I was with but if I had to guess it might be about 15. All in all I spent about 1200 between the hotel, shoping, drinking, sightseeing and all the girls.
When I first arrived, all I really wanted to do is go out and party. But sadly on my last couple of days I realized I was going about it the wrong way. The thing to do is to go to El Cond. That is the plaza. It has a whole bunch of stores. I went there with my camera and told all the girls I met how pretty they were and how I had never seen women that pretty in the US. I mean you just have to flirt with the girls and make them all feel special. If you do this they will be real cool with you. Don't be an asshole with the girls, alot of them are not hoes and are just looking for a friend. I got about 20 numbers, but only talk to about 8 of them on a regular basis. Some of these girls are really cool and do make you feel really special. When I go back I do not even need a hotel. I already have 3 places I can stay at. I do not even need to pay her. Unless you consider taking them out and probably buying them food paying them.
I met a few other girls that seemed really cool, but after a while they started calling me with my baby needs a surgery and I have no money, my rent is due and I have no money, and the famouse my mother is sick please help. I dropped them fast. Basically the ones that I am talking to are in their mid 20's and all are professionals. So they have their own money. When I took one girl out I tried paying for her food and she said that she had her own money. I loved that.
All in all just go out and mingle, the people are really great and friendly. Just be careful for "los tiborones" or sharks. These are the hustlers. I will be going back in about 2 months.

She could've come down to 2,000 pesos and I still would've passed; so, I split, probably never to return again. There is just no way that I will ever pay more than the equivalent of .50 US for a 1hr. incall in the DR! These women just don't get it. I wont be a casualty of their now almost 6 month long price gauging scheme against Los Norte Americanos! They know the $US has dropped roughly 40% in value since last summer, and they just don't care. The majority of sex I now receive in the Dr is via the non pro GF route.

No, I didn't think someone as experienced as you would be swindled into overpaying at the pro houses. I would love to meet some of these guys who are dropping nearly 2 bills for in room tln - they must be crazy!
Last year with the peso at 52-1 things were real cheap. Now the pendulum has swung in the other direction - can't last. I'll likely be down in April, see if some of the houses have come down on their fees.

I use two sources for pricing in DR chicas, this forum and local newspapers. Prices quoted by mongers here has gone up a lot, but I still find good prices advertised in local newspapers. But now it is diffficult to find good prices near the touristic area, I have seen good prices in areas like Arroyo Hondo(Paradise Club), Winston Churchill (Mambos Gentleman club), and some other places.

I spend alot of time in Latin America, and have noticed that the price of sex has gone up elsewhere as well. Of course, a lot of the increase is due to the dollar, which I believe has been devalued about 30% over the last year or so (I am just guesstimating).
Cork Sucker, where should we go if the DR does not normalize its prices soon? I love Dominicanas, but I am always game for a new scene.
Incidentally, I was reading on the internet today that the DR is under international pressure to revalue the peso. The peso's great strength now is directly related to a campaign pledge made by Leonel last summer. I am not an economist, but it appears the country has artificially inflated the its value. I expect the dollar to improve greatly against the peso this year.

CS you are correct! Right now I'm afraid we are in dollar devaluation purgatory - the capital SDQ is pricey. Fernandez is happy but tourists are suffering!
(Avianca will fly you from Miami to Cartagena for $340, Aeropostal will fly you from Miami to Caracas for $288, ........ things that make you go , hmmmmmmm?) ;)

I spend alot of time in Latin America, and have noticed that the price of sex has gone up elsewhere as well. Of course, a lot of the increase is due to the dollar, which I believe has been devalued about 30% over the last year or so (I am just guesstimating).

My point about Santo Domingo is that with the current exchange rate SDQ is probably best as one of those "I'm down on legitimate business and so I'll head out for a couple of nights and look for some fun" destinations.
Last summer I was down in SDQ and Boca Chica for 24 days in July and went out every single night. I'd have to bring my own "Brinks" truck with me to pull off that trick now! ;)

The exchange rate is better than it was three (4, 5, 6, 7, 8...) years ago. Fine, prices are "double" (30% higher.) Well, they're "double" for Dominicans and tourists alike. Who's in a better negotiating position when the buying power of money decreases, poor people (Dominican avg income is approx. US$2,000) or rich people (American avg. income approx. US$35,000.) These girls are hurting (as well as the rest of the country.)

Well I have no clue what could be personal or financial motives other than not wanting to get hosed at every opportunity.
I agree the peso's absolute price is immaterial IF and this is a big IF , the prices, on largely US sourced goods went down by 50% since the peso went up by the same. A dollar is a dollar. But no, the prices went up as well, so good for the beer and food companies bad for the visitors, other than the All-Inclusives who are the ones with all the customers.
And the high cost of real goods means the girls want more just to maintain parity with what they used to get in terms of buying power which is understandable. They have to eat too.
But combine all that with a biblical purge of the best little town in the country and a net cast into the MP's and a stated intention to wipe out the business (and arresting customers found in the houses as well - this is a particularly egregious act). Who needs the grief?

One thing I can be sure of my stable of RD$500 regulars are nowhere to be found in BC, they are afraid of being on the street with Politur all over the place and they won't take RD$500 anymore even though it has gone from $11 to $17 and they now want RD$800 or more, e.g. $28, or a near tripling of overhead costs.
I almost went down for Semana Santa weekend figuring it would be so crowded Politur wouldn't tell the good from the bad and from my source who did go it was a disaster.
Maybe it is a mixed blessing, if demand goes down, and supply remains constant, albeit in other locales, but the risk of a supply side drought makes it more work than play possibly. And I have long advocated not to overpay as seems to be the case with many a proud newby bragging about RD$2000+++ to a RD$500 girl, so that is a baseless comment.

It appears that political change is in the air. Funny, isn't this the same guy who was there when this type of thing was off the hook :-)
With that said, you can still have a hell of a good time 3 1/2 hours from NYC if you know where to look. I know a new place outside of Boca where you can find some 8's and 9's for only two chickens, bag of rice, and a few cans of grandules.

I agree to both paragraphs, it is a shame that it becomes work when it used to be a buyers paradise. I see in the news today that they named several of the MP's and all three in Boca Chica (Pink, White and Sala) were busted as well:

Cisne has new ownership and is much improved! Sorry for the delay, in continuing with my trip report. I leave for 4 days, and clients think I've been gone for a year.
Day 2 continued:
In trying to right these reports you realize that so much (for me) happened over the course of the trip that it takes time to put everything worthwhile into the report. I say this because I left out an interesting episode (learning experience). As we prepare to leave to head to the hotel, I'm figuring out how I'm going to teach Carlos a lesson.

As my Brother and I got dress to go to the Renaissance/Marriott Casino, I'm telling him about the scam and how I tricked Carlos. Think about it, Carlos thought he was going to eat, drink, fuck the girls we corral, and make money on us. Basically he drank two glasses of beer, got no sex (he watched as fucked the living shit out these girls), and lost out on money.
Turns out that my brother gave the woman from the restuarant $10 US dollars for her hospitality. Fortunately this was only a $10 dollar loss instead of a $40 dollar loss.

Day 3:

Thats a total of 9 different girls for about $3,000 pesos and approximately $107 US dollars. The DR has been very very good to us!
Lessons learned as a Newbie:
1) Learn Spanish, learn spanish, learn spanish.
2) Find girl friendly hotels (the service elevator move might not work)
3) Walk around like you've been around the block a few times so you are not taken advantage of.
4) Keep a translation book. Great ice breaker and girl magnet. Allows you to spend significant time with the girls because you both are learning a language. Helps to make for a good time, and I think reduces the pay for play experience.
5) Keep yourself groomed, neat looking, etc.
6) Understand what these girls want. It will make your interaction with them better.
7) Manage your money. You see all of these beautiful women and you want to through your money around. With a little work you will not have to.
I want to thank all of you established mongers on the forum for your advice and experiences. It truly helped in making the trip successful. I was there on April 14 and 15th. The girl was with me at check in, and they took her cedula information. Later that night when we arrived back at the hotel, security was at the elevator but did not even question us.
If however, when I check in, if I don't have a girl yet, I register as two adults and tell them I have a friend joining me who has not yet arrived in town. I ask for two keys. Later when i get a girl, just before entering the lobby I give her a key and tell her to keep it in her hand and visible. This has always worked, and you avoid the delay at the front desk. The exception would be if you pick up a street girl or an unknown, then it is to your benefit to have a copy of her cedula/id at the front desk. Hope this helps. If they give you a hassle , move two doors down to the v-centenarrio Hotel Intercontinental. It's not a bad alternative.

Finally, have the prices been affected? I emailed Michelle of Spa Michelle, who told me that the Spa is closed. She gave me her phone number and offered to help me contact my favorite girl. I suspect that Michelle will be making ends meet by doing some discrete pimping.

If SDQ is in full swing this is the mecca of the DR! Hands down! Its still my favorite place on the planet. (Spent the entire month of July there last year. 28 straight days in paradise, ahhh memories) :)
Two hotels that are worth considering if you don't want to spend the big $$$ necessary to get into the Jaragua.
- The Hotel Hispaniola, www.hotelhispaniola.com is guest friendly after 11PM (that's when the graveyard shift comes on, is about $75 per night, great restaurant and awesome pool. 4 stars.
- The Hotel Naco, www.hotelnaco.net is 3 stars but with nice restaurant about $72 per night and TOTALLY guest friendly 24 hours a day. NO games, no tap-dancing - bring in what you want.
Haven't yet been to the capital? Awe shame on you. ;)

OK, on the status of places in Santo Domingo: I was there the 2nd - 4th of May, more than two weeks after the raids. All places that were reported to be closed earlier still were: Cisne, Elegante, Lapsus, Casa 52, Sueño Real, Michele, Monalisa. Some of them still have 24 hour/day soldiers guarding them. Tabu was open (but only 6 girls), there were girls hanging out around Cisne/Elegante (a group in a van with the door open, some alternative), touts said Azul was open, and Remington was certainly still open. I enjoyed the merchandise in Remington very much, and there were girls in the Jaragua and V Centenario casinos as well, but all in all action seems still very much reduced compared to before the raids.
I was in Santo Domingo 2nd -4th of May, more than two weeks after the raids. ford's recommendation for the naco is spot on. rooms are ok, air conditioned, no extra charge for chicas, no limitations on the number of girls that can return with you.
but, i thought that the palacio was a little nicer, and the "high speed" internet was very good. i brought back two girls from remington's in march, and no one cared. my cab driver told me that i could bring back 5 girls and no one would care.
sadly, the food sucks, but there were plenty of restaurants on el conde, which is half a block from the hotel
I stayed there for 2 nights and liked it a lot. The rooms were clean with a good AC and nice bathroom and good cable for $40 a night...basically 1 block from the gas station on Ave. Independencia and decent walking distance to casinos. It was very clean and accomodating.

I have a friend who lives in Santo Domingo and he told me that the famous[?] Remington Palace is still open and has been largely unaffected by Fernandez's sweeping "quality of life" raids.
It is "suspicious" when a club as visible and as dramaticly appointed as the Remington Palace could escape the fate that has befallen other less visible loactions like Modelos and Monalissa.
I guess the presidents efforts to clean up the capital and stop the kind of open, lascivious displays of sexuality that work to demean the character and reputation of Dominican women don't count when - the right "politicos" are getting "greased" and the right members of the military and police are receiving their envelopes.

The website of Bonche, bonche.com is a good source for the nightlife in S.D. Also check out the dr1 forum. One disco which is worth mentioning is Abacus in Zona Colonial. There are some nice places in zona colonial, one of the top areas to go out in S.D. for the locals. Taboo Bamboo is an excellent place also as a disco/ bar, it is located in Naco. Trio is more a bar than really a disco. Have been there twice: one time on a monday when it was very crowded, and one time on a saturday, when there were only around 10 people, but that was in the weekend of carnaval, probably that had something to do with it. Next to Trio, forgot the name, is an excellent restaurant, very, very nice decoration, and nice prices. The place as a bar to go is Praia, although I believe it is now temporarily closed. This is the high society bar, famous people. On the other side of the river you have Avenida Venezuela, some big discos there. The girls here have bigger breasts, are easier, while the girls on the other part are more upscale.

Less than $80 a night, I like Hotel Naco but you should also consider the Hotel Hispaniola. Awesome pool, nice rooms, nice restaurant with a great "olla de mariscos" entree. (pot of shellfish) :)

Does the old price structure still apply? That is, 2000 pesos prior to midnight for short time. Before midnight, 4000 pesos for all night long. In contrast, 2000 pesos all night long if you take the girl out after midnight.

One needs to be careful with Remington pricing. The girls will try and get you to leave a few minutes before midnight, promising TLN, and then claim they need to return in 2 hours (which I think is true; i think management encourages this behavior).
It is possible, of course, to negotiate TLN when you leave at 11:45 pm, but it can never be done on the word of the chica. Be certain you have spoken directly with management. Management will resist this, and the last time I negotiated, it practically carried me past midnight before they gave in.
It was worth it though. I promised the chica a 1000 peso bonus for good performance, and she was incredibly motivated (keep in mind that when you pay the house 2000 pesos, the girl gets 1000). Why pay the house instead of the girl?
Well as expected I had a great time in this beautiful country. Didn't have much time to play since I was working but enough to let you people know a few things about Santo Domingo.
Watch your wallet!! everyone wants a piece of it. I stayed at the Melia Hotel. Service was good, food not to bad but I considered it to be expensive. I asked a bell boy where to go for some fun and he reccomended Casa Teresa which was a five minute cab ride from the hotel. I rate girls there from 7 to 8.5 all nice and clean. I chose a 24 y/o and I was charged $2500 DP for two hours. Not to bad but a little more than what I wanted to spend. Raina was nice though great GFE. Gave great head licked all over and even took it in the ass. I wanted to come back next day to see her again but my schedule didn't work out.
Imstead I wound up going to dinner in the old city (great restaurant but I forgot the name) and later went to LOFT where it was easy enough to meet girls.
My friends and I will be in Santo Domingo from the 15 to the 23.

There are a lot of casas in Santo Domingo. But they all have certain features in common. First, they are all expensive. Second, you negotiate with the management (and usually pay management), not the girl. This clearly works against you, as management is better at saying no to a cheap deal, as they are not desparate for money. Furthermore, if you pay management, there is little incentive for the girl to perform well.
The best deals I have had in SD involve spending a lot of time in Remingtons or another equivalent place like Casa Azul, carefully choosing a girl and then getting her phone number for future independent work. This only works if you have to come and go often.
Although I have heard a lot about how fantastic the girls are in SD (I do not disagree), they are also fantastic in just about every city in the DR. I have scored pros and non pros in San Pedro de Marcoris and even rural towns whose names I do not know near Santiago. I am quite certain the North Coast has more than its fair share of beauties. You will save a lot of money going to places like this, and the effrot of finding gilrs is not burdensome.
If price is a real issue, I think you should look elsewhere. Otherwise, SD is too much bother. But, if you are willing to pay a bit more for great looking girls who are handed to you on the proverbial silver platter, the city is ideal. Remember, 2000 pesos for overnight (albeit beginning at midnight) is 1/6th to 1/10th the price of the same experience in New York City.

Really though, no big deal. SD still has the same basic areas to look for girls so it is not hard to plan accordingly.

In the past I have called American travel at 1 800 367-2581 and talked with Nubia. They give about a 4% discount. Actually they reduce their commissions to give the discount.
Don't know if this is reasonable still. Some travel agencies are consolidators who buy blocks of seats, but I do not know them.

I do not think there is any danger that the prices will go up to $400 US if one or two gringos get scammed. I haven't been to Santo Domingo in a few months, but I would be surprised if Remington's were more than 2000.
The problem with the action in the DR is that we are really paying the house (eg, the management at Remington or Casa Azul), not the girl. The house is hard to bargain with. There are few locations where one actually deals directly with the girl, other than the street. And street action, by and large, is hard to find in the safe areas of town.
I have read , on nunmerous occasions, about picking women up in the casinos. However, I was extremely dissapointed by the quality of the girls in the casinos. Can someone with experience comment on this? I would really like to spend my next trip NOT negotiating with the management of the casas.
Here is your reply. You are correct that the chicas in the houses charge twice as much. Since prostitution is legal in the Dominican Republic (white slavery and having sex with minors is not!), from my understanding one needs a license to open up a house. The chicas receive regular medical checkups. You are actually paying for quality. I recall a chica I bumped into right outside the casino at Jaragua. She charged me one price. I bumped into her again at a casa nearby. She charged me twice as much.
This is continuation of my previous post. I made a mistake and accidentally posted without finishing. When you see a chica in a casa take her to the side and buy her a drink (as usual they will charge you twice as much as the street price for a drink1). As you talk to the chica just ask her for her cell number and give her yours. Tell her you want to meet her after work. This works in every place except for Remingtons, since in Remingtons the chicas are not allowed to go out unless it is with a customer who has already paid.
Once you communicate with the chica just negotiate price and most of the times it is cheaper.

As you know I just got back from SD a few days ago, I landed and I do speak Spainsh most of the taxi drivers I met spoke and address me in English, they told me $30.00 dollars thats around 900 to 1000 peso's.
I spent about 12mins trying to work the price down then I decided I am not going to waste my time trying to save a few dollars on a damn taxi ride to the hotel.
So unless you make arrangements with someone before you get there its like a union they all want around $30.00, BUT going back to the airport you can get a better deal with a taxi driver you made friend with.
The hotel I stayed at for a few days was Jaragua Hotel it cost around $150 a night BUT it had bar pool and lots of things like a spa that have a very good gym and I got a massage for $71.00 since I was staying at the hotel if not it cost $92.00.
They DON'T allow guest but I know the police that work at night he was in the Army I was in the Navy we got alone very well he told them to let me bring up *****s without any problems.
I also stayed at Intercontinental Hotel I didn't have a problem bringing up *****s.

Trust me, Kid Cisco. I lived in SD 4 years. If you used Apolo Taxi or Maxi Taxi that is the price. Hotel Jaragua is one of the best hotels if not the best, the taxi drivers from the hotel charge double. In SD taxi fares (for regular people) are 80-100 pesos one away (Apollo, Maxie Taxi) the ones outside the hotels are rip off.Hhotel Jaragua is very nice and casino and there are a lot of girls after 9:00 pm. Only 3-4 are 7-8. It all depends because girls don't go to the same hotel every day. They will always ask for a 100 dollars but you can get the price down to 50. People are desperate, power goes down 10 to 15 hours a day, gasoline is very expensive, regular wage (without college) is 3500-4000 pesos month (130 dollars). My rent in SD used to be 600 dollars, gasoline 1000 pesos a week, food 2000 pesos a week, cable tv 1000 p, energy bill 3000 p month, telefone with internet 2000 p.
Wth that said I really don't know how they lived in such conditions.

Bascially the mongering is going to hell simply by the pricing. Unlike many of you guys, I don't have $150.00 to spend daily on hotels. In fact I honestly can't see guys complaining about prices in the DR but yet are willing to pay almost a Dominican's monthly wage for a hotel room.
At the airport, unless you have someone you know picking you up, then be prepared to pay about 700 pesos to get into town. I don't know where in the hell this 300 to 500 pesos shyt came from. The only way that you'll get this cheap price is if you A) have a taxi or driver you know picking you up or B) you might be able to get a driver that is dropping off another passenger from the upper deck more cheaply, though I've never tried this method.
Keep in mind that the artificial exchange rate has doubled the prices for everything, while most retailers/merchants maintain thier inflated prices from the non-existent 50:1 exchange rate. Since the artificial raising of the peso to 28:1 nobody has adjusted thier prices so therefore were paying about double for everything compared to a year ago! In my book this makes general mongering in places like SD too expensive. Many of the streetwalkers that I've found in the seedy neighborhoods in SD were coke heads( I guess the crack epidemic hasn't hit there yet, which is surprising considering the number of Dominicanos that sling the dope up in NYC.) To my surprise there were white Dominican street walkers to but the ones I saw were either pregnant or were trying to supply thier habit. Not all street walkers in SD are druggies it just happened to be so on the particular night that I went out.
I'll probably visit the DR again,but it won't be my main mongering destination for now. Outside of SD one can still find decent prices for chicas, especially in non-touristy places, but I'll stick with Brazil and SE Asia where I don't need a car or the need to rely on back-stabbing Taxis and Motoconchos to get around. In order to find the best and cheapest cat houses in the DR, one needs a car as many places are spread out a bit.
Concerning casa de modelos, Remington etc: I hope you guys are aware that the house gets more money than the girl actually does, which makes these houses more expensive and is exploitative in my opinion(true pimping at it's best.) There is a casa called Maria's in Puerto Plata which is a real shyt hole with marginal looking girls but yet charges crazy prices like 3000-4000 pesos etc. This is NOT the norm, especially in a poor town like PP. But, if didn't get all of that there no way I would pay that much for a room I am more of a $50.00- $60.00 a night type of person, but in DR the service can't be beat were I stayed.

i just came back from santo domingo from a 23-25 july stay at santo domingo and 25 to 28 to boca chica and a final day in santo domingo again. my hotel was hotel jaragua for the same reasons quoted by kid cisco. we paid 118 usd taxes included per room for 2 double garden rooms. as a member of marriot rewards program we received a buffet breakfast for free (4 persons) and a bottle of presidente at champions sport bar for free. by the way, beer is free if you gamble at the casino.
we were a group of 4 guys in our 20's and low 30's and paid 700 pesos for a taxi from the airport, a guy we met in the plane traveled with us so it was 140 pesos each. the cost of a one way taxi drive from el jaragua to el conde or to a short ride to places like remington was 100 pesos, a similar amount was paid to the guys with horse charriots. according to local news 70% of public transportation uses kerosene gas to move their taxis, buses so the cost of a gallon of fuel is less than a dollar compared to gasoline prices that is more than 3 dollars. and gas is sold at every gas station like texaco, esso. the goverment is trying to regulate the use of cooking gas in autos because of some explosions that have killed drivers and passengers.

It was Sunday 24, 10 am when we woke up. We decided to have a breakfast at Villar Hermanos Deli. Good sandwiches from 2 dollars to up to 5 dollars. Next to Villar were Elegant Center and Cisne, both now closed.

I woke up on Sunday afternoon and decided to hit the beach so I caught the 30 pesos bus to Boca Chica, which took around 45 minutes to get there.
The beach itself was very nice and it was really packed, mostly with locals.

When the Lapsus girl left I went to have dinner and then back to the hotel, it was about 11.30 pm and I felt a bit sleepy so I decided to rest for 1 hour or so before going out again in search of a new prey. I laid on the bed and fell asleep.

Long stay, overnite stay, short stay all possible. All the taxi drivers know them.

Not at all. The cabanas are available for all night, all day, short stay whatever you want. One little trick to have fun and conserve $$bucks, is to rent one smaller cabana for sleeping (keep your personal things here, toiletries etc, so girls with sticky fingers can't rifle thru your property) and then rent a second larger cabana for "fun time".
This works when you're staying in a city where the hotels have questionable guest policies (Santiago). .....and you can still maintain two separate accomodations on the cheap.

Knowledge is power! :)I was in SDQ in late March. We stayed at the Jaragua. There were 8 of us guys from the states. For the most part, we didn't have trouble bringing the ladies to the room. What we had to do was give the front desk a list of names of ladies (up to 4, I think) when we checked in. Most of us weren't stopped when bringing the ladies in. Things tightened up a bit at night sometimes.
They were more strict with the ladies from the casino. I don't know why, but some guys got stopped when trying to bring those ladies in. I tried to walk to my room with a lady from the casino once and she went right to the desk to talk with the person behind the counter. I think she did that because if she just tried to walk in, they wouldn't let her back in the casino anymore. I tried to lie and say she was on my list but the guy behind the desk said she had already told him she was not a guest. So I had to take her to a cabana via cab about 10 minutes away.
Any other lady I brought in from outside of the casino, I had no problems with, even my old flame from Puerta Plata who I "visit" with whenever I'm in the DR.

I haven't been to SDQ since January so I was wondering - how has it been trying to bring a guest into the Jaragua or the Hilton??
As far as the Jaragua and the Intercontinental go, as long as she does not look like a street hooker you should be OK. Remember these hotels have families staying with them and want to keep a reasonably quality atmosphere. I assume the other top quality Malecon hotels would act the same way, a classy looking woman OK, an obvious hooker no way.
Although I have been to DR many times (family visits), this Nov. will be the first time I go as a potential monger. Would anyone be able to give me some locatiuons of clubs that I can check out while in Santo Domingo? Sorry if I jumped on this thread inappropriately.

I woke up on Sunday afternoon and decided to hit the beach so I caught the 30 pesos bus to Boca Chica, which took around 45 minutes to get there.

Based on my experiences, the overall quality has gone down. Prices have gone up and the dollar to peso currency is not helping us at all!!!

As you know I just got back from SD a few days ago, I landed and I do speak Spainsh most of the taxi drivers I met spoke and address me in English, they told me $30.00 dollars thats around 900 to 1000 peso's.
I spent about 12mins trying to work the price down then I decided I am not going to waste my time trying to save a few dollars on a damn taxi ride to the hotel.
So unless you make arrangements with someone before you get there its like a union they all want around $30.00, BUT going back to the airport you can get a better deal with a taxi driver you made friend with.
The hotel I stayed at for a few days was Jaragua Hotel it cost around $150 a night BUT it had bar pool and lots of things like a spa that have a very good gym and I got a massage for $71.00 since I was staying at the hotel if not it cost $92.00.
They DON'T allow guest but I know the police that work at night he was in the Army I was in the Navy we got alone very well he told them to let me bring up *****s without any problems.
I also stayed at Intercontinental Hotel I didn't have a problem bringing up *****s.
Its funnny in Costa Rica it only cost $12.00 for a taxi ride lol from the airport.

I do not think there is any danger that the prices will go up to $400 US if one or two gringos get scammed. I haven't been to Santo Domingo in a few months, but I would be surprised if Remington's were more than 2000.
The problem with the action in the DR is that we are really paying the house (eg, the management at Remington or Casa Azul), not the girl. The house is hard to bargain with. There are few locations where one actually deals directly with the girl, other than the street. And street action, by and large, is hard to find in the safe areas of town.
I have read , on nunmerous occasions, about picking women up in the casinos. However, I was extremely dissapointed by the quality of the girls in the casinos. Can someone with experience comment on this? I would really like to spend my next trip NOT negotiating with the management of the casas.

While I stayed at the Jaragua back in Sept of '04 - I do know that the "Garden rooms" were very easy to bring in girls at night. The elevators are manned by security and unless you get to know them or pay them off - you can't bring girls up (unless you are able to sneek them up quickly when the guard is making his floor rounds.) The casino have the hardened ones and rarely will they go up with you TLN - short time - and then they have to pay off the doorman at the casino. Don't forget in the DR an average wages for a trained factory-worker does not exceed US $ 200,- a MONTH!!!!!!!!!! If you have a good (read: private university) degree and you work at a large (forreign) company you might earn 500-600 bucks a month!! So paying ANY woman 2500 (US$ 83,-)pesos for ST is for sure highly overpriced,but that's MHO. Girls who work in shops,or are nannies with rich folks usualy earn far less then 200 bucks!!! Keep that in mind please.

They fly in on a 4 day/3 night business junket and may have 1 or 2 nights to go out - so when the price for fun is 4000, 5000, 6000 pesos it really isn't any problem at all. Afterall, many times their flight has been "comped", their room has been "comped" and their meals have been "comped".
Unfortunately, for many of us "hard-core" monger types we now have to compete with the prices that these business travelers pay. The girls don't recognize the difference between a business traveler and a p4p traveler so when the executives "raise the bar" on prices - we all suffer. :(

Much of what Ford and Johan say is correct. However the way I see it is that because you have these business travelers and regular mongers co-existing what is happening is that you have parallel markets.
In any case you have always had the parallel domestic market which included the locals and the foreign market which included these two levels of mongers.
What is happening is that the foreign market is being serviced at different levels. It is still possible to get close to domestic market rates with the chicas. Brush up on your Spanish and see how easy it is.
The girls aren't stupid enough to price themselves out of the far more active lower grade monger market or even to forget the domestic crowd that will remain with them even if a hurricane wipes out the place and the guys in expensive suits stay away.

I was in SDQ about a year ago. had a great time. I stayed at the Intercontinental. You could walk to Cisne, Elegant Center, Mona Lisa's. I also enjoyed Azul Casa and a few others.
Here is my question. I have been reading about shut downs and closures. Is the action close to what it was yet? Are most of the spots reopened?
I was actually planning a trip. Originally to BC with the idea that if it was bad I could head back to SDQ. But then the crackdowns occurred. I was now looking hard at San Jose CR. But the posts on here made me think I should post on here and get the scoop.

The weather will soon become very pleasant as the hurricane season blows away. It's still on though so you need to check the weather reports before travelling to the Caribbean at this time of year. It has been such a crazy year for hurricanes. Nothing significant in DR though. Let us know how things go.

The Hotel Hispaniola is probably little known to board members here but it offers very nice stylish rooms, great pool, large casino, great restaurant and fine security.
Btw, I read something yesterday that said the exchange rate is back up to 34rdp to 1 usd. Is this true?

One thing about the jaragua hotel.....(and i know some of you will haunt me for this one):
The place is IMHO OVERRATED and OVERPRICED.
many hookers here had the evil nerve to charge me 4000 (yes...that is 4000) PESOS for ST.!!!!!!!!
I mean.....4000???? get real....i don't pay that. I just laughed at the girl and went on my way enjoying the evening. I even didn't took the trouble to hassle down the price....
the live show was good i must say...but after hearing 4-5 hours very LOUD latino music I was glad to leave the place. WATCH out if you take a cab from here...they are asking 2-3 times the normal rate!!!!!
btw the beer is way too cold (as it is in ALL the country) but this place is heavely airconditioned;....no foam (sorry can't help it...I am european)

If you speak decent spanish and look halfway ok you can find many good girls for less in all the city of SD.

as far as I know you will have NO problems getting in all-nighters (as in most SD hotels that I know off) if they are dreesed conservatie and not too trashy.....but I don't know for ST-ers. The Napolitano has a good disko at friday and saturday...they only don't serv coka cola alone...i had to buy Brugal with it.
If you speak any spanish you should pick up a girl (non-pro) within 10 minutes. Just look "gringo-ish" (without the T-shirt and the shorts!)and act if if you are the dumbest clown on earth....that usualy attracts them.
the santo domingo chicas LOVEEEEEE gringos.....you can trust me on this one;-)
Tha malls are a feast for the eye......and the nose....(those chicas love parfumes..)
GAWD....I love Ole.....Bravo.....Jumbo...and Carrefour malls.....:-)

within a short range from the Napolitano hotel at the malecon there also is the PLATINUM....here you also can score easely girls....that is IF you speak spanish. If there is a live band they charge 300 peso to get in for the men (girlls are free)If you only speak english it will be more expensive and more difficult.
Go well dressed and please do NOT wear a T-shirt and/or a short pants with sport shoes...you could get REFUSED in many places!!!!!!(which happened to me on my second night out...!)
In some diskos they even demand that you wear a TIE....!! FTS...
JETSET is such a place....high class women from good standard go there. Get ready to pay high prices for drinks:-( BUT the women you meet here are all middle/high class. About the hookers i don't know.....I was with my amiga that night,so i couldn't check those out but I assume they will be availeble there. If you have doubts always ask the doorman...or a taxista...they know almost everything....;-)

Hello my friend. I'm sorry you found SDQ to be pricey. Yes, I have heard from many sources that prices are up as the USD and the Euro are down to the RDP.
I remember your uncertainty re: where to go and what to do - I remember you were considering Venezuela.
I think you should seriously reconsider Caracas. Great town, food, sights and absolutely gorgeous women available. Prices are way down in CCS. We are in the monger "sweet spot" down there. :) and I know you are a guy with the guts to go down there and explore!

It's nearby the malecon...ask any taxista and he'll know were to find it.
I tell you onforehand it will NOT be cheap...and the woman who visit are all from middle and higher class. Female laywers,doctors,relatives of politicians etc...etc...are frequented here. Even Jenni Lopez (yes the one with the big butt from Puerto Rico) was here with her husband Marc Anthony after the Presidente festival 2 weeks ago held in Santo Domingo...!!
IF you find a hooker here (which I doubt) get ready to pay at least 4000 pesos for ST. LT are out of the questions with these hookers.
Don't act like Johnny turist....dress sharp with a TIE,decent polo shirt and a very good toxido or another SUITE. Black leather shoes is a MUST.
Put out any earrings/piercings and cover up any tattoos you might have...
Do NOT wear tennis/sport shoes...or short pants. they will NOT let you in.
Personaly i find the place too snobbish and way too expensive and boring for my taste....but that's MHO.

I just returned from my first trip to Santo Domingo. Thanks, Johan, for the info about hotels and discos. Because of trips in and out of the city, I ended up staying at three different hotels: the Sol Melia, the Intercontinental, and the Napolitano. They are listed in descending order of girl friendliness. The Melia was impossible! Even though I booked and payed for 2 people they would not let my amiga upstairs because she did not check in with me. The Intercontinental was better but I got the impression that if I were bringing 2 or 3 different girls in during my stay, they might have objected. The Napolitano was fine. I stayed there three nights and the first two days they said nothing when I walked in with my amiga. The third day they asked her to register. I don't know what was different.
I have a question for the experts on Santo Domingo. I have met several girls that are either graduate students or have professional careers. I would like to find a good quality hotel where I can invite them up to my room without a lot of hassle or without them feeling uncomfortable (like security thinks they are hookers). Does anyone know of a place that fits that description? Or is there something I can do/say to security or reception. I'm a newbie in the DR but have extensive experience in other places and (except in Cuba) I've never have a problem with hotels like I did in SD. I'd like to go back in December but this time I want to choose my hotel more carefully.

I just got back from a weekend in Santo Domingo and stayed at the Hotel Jaragua. The exchange rate from the hotel casino was 34 to 1 and from my ATM was at least 35 to 1. For the record, I did not get quoted any of the "crazy" prices that my fellow WSGers had been stating in previous reports. I am though fluent in Spanish, so I do not know if that had any influence.
The first place I started out at was a favorite of mine a year and a half ago, Geysha. At this place the prices remained the same, 1200 for sencillo (BBBJ only) and 1800 for completa. When I had went a few years ago, this place was full of girls. This time there was only 2 to choose from. One was a 5 and the other only a close 7. The place seemed to be deserted and not kept up like before. When I inquired about what happened to this place, one of the girls had mentioned that the previous owner had passed away. The place was closed for 5 months, and then reopened by the previous owner's mother. The girl I had chosen (well actually I lost a coin flip) was a disaster. She was not into the BJ, complained, and had a bad attitude. My friend's girl though had a very good body and was cute. He stated that she did it all including AR. So he was very happy when we left. In all, I think that Geysha is just reopening and that I would at the very least wait several months before returning.
The second place I tried was Mona Lisa's. Again here there was only 2 girls to chose from. The difference was both girls were extremely cute and had good figures. I would rate them 7.5's. Here the attitute was GFE and very non rushed. The front desk intially started at 3500 but went down to 3000 in the same sentence. We finally arrived on 2300 with a tall Presidente included. Both girls were into everything including BBBJ, AR, cowgirl, DATY, and just about anything else. Overall my experience here was very pleasant.
The next order of business was the girls found at the Hotel Jaragua. For me, the number 1 girls are the ones that worked there. My friend and I managed to get 2 dates out of 2 very, very cute waitresses, both of whom could easily be brought home to Mom. Keep in mind though, that you need to speak Spanish in order to really get a good relationship with them and go out with.
The pros at the hotel really suprised me. First, compared to a year and a half ago, the quality was much, much better. I was shocked at the quality. I am not saying that there was 9's and 10's, but there was definitely some good solid qualtiy. I did not get quoted the 4000 pesos as previously said in some reports. I gave my chicken to my buddy, and off we went. 500. Amazing. She was my best of the trip in terms of performance and finished off with CIM. No complaints, no hand action, excellent. Now she was not Miss America mind you, but she definitely was not bad at all either.
Bringing girls into your room at the Jaragua takes some work. When I was checking in, the girl at the front desk stated to me that any guests must be registered at the time of check in. Knowing this, and knowing what fellow WSGers had said about the garden view rooms, I checked in a garden view room for one of the nights. Let me tell you, it does not help. We were stopped by the security guard over by the garden view rooms. When he asked if I had registered her, I said yes, and then he began to call it in. I then said I didn't, offered him a bribe which he refused, told him I have a couple of rooms and to make an exception, and HE DID! He said ok no problem, just go back to the front desk and give a copy of her registration which we did. The second night I got rid of my second room in the garden view, and stuck with my tower room. This time for my second girl, I was stopped again by elevator security. When I went to the front desk and asked them to make an exception, and that I had several rooms, blah, blah, he then DID IT ALSO! He said he would make an exception, did NOT copy the id of the girl, and said it was ok. At that time I offered him a tip, which he refused. I did though come done later and give him a small tip. He stated that at that time, he did not want to accept anything because it would look like I was paying him off. So he said now he could accept it. In all, the guys at the front desk at the Jaragua are very accomadating, but you need to know that you should get to know them and give a tip before you actually get a girl. That is in my own opinion, because in front of the girl and their co-workers, they don't want to accept anything at that moment.
In all, my trip to Santo Domingo was great. Even though the selection at the casas and massages places are very minimal, the overall vibe of Dominican girls makes it a repeat every year for me. Thanks to all that recommended JETSET as the club to go in the night. I also went to Trio Cafe. I like Trio because they played more hip-hop, reggaeton, while JETSET was slow, girlfriend music. Whomever in their previous posts had mentioned Avenida Venezuela, what a gold mine. The five clubs that had been previously mentioned were packed on Sunday night, and the quality of the girls were probably better than the mainstream clubs. It is amazing the information that you get in this forum, and I really appreciate people writing reports and taking the time to answer people questions. Thanks!

Forgot to mention if you like this you also can visit the Eagle bar...in the OASIS barrio...(east side of the town) in santo Somingo. The place is packed with richer dominicanos and very nice waitresses. I am sure you could pull out one of these babes after hours IF you speak the speak.....and are willing to burn some $$$ for these hot vixens!
Friday,saturday and on sundays the place is crowded. Fuck...even on a tuesday night thgere is something going on..!! Try this at home...and you'll find dead meat.

They also have a HUGE screen on which you can watch the baseball LIVE in the USA too...that is if you know the game. I for myself know sh*t from baseball and I realy hope they put on the worldchampions of football next year in germany as I hope my team (the orange lions from Holland) will win the cup!!:-) I don't want to miss a game from our team if I am in the DR..!!

There Hip-hop and regeaton is played EVERY F*cking night..till your ears pop.
They also have a HUGE screen on which you can watch the baseball LIVE in the USA too...that is if you know the game. I for myself know sh*t from baseball and I realy hope they put on the worldchampions of football next year in germany as I hope my team (the orange lions from Holland) will win the cup!!:-) I don't want to miss a game from our team if I am in the DR..!!
And for the final I hope we meet the Brasilians...but this time WE win...!!
At home I watch these rap/hiphop vids...but turn off the volume......LOL.I for myself hate that...only the vids with the black getto ho's are very nice which I like:-) The sleazier the better.....
Right now I realy like the clip that is called "golddigger" from Kanye-West featuring Jamie Foxxx....nice,hot bubbly Girls and a nice text too;-)

You say the selection was minimal. That is because everything has changed, including where the massage parlors and houses are. You ended up going to all the old haunts that were clamped down on hard. There is a whole new scene out there now.

I forget to mention in an earlier posting about the Eagle club that in the neighborhood from that club there is a "mens club"...called "Kama Sutra"....
I never entered and i don't know nothing about it....I only know that it is in Oasis barrio (just alongside the main road).
Maybe Mister P knows more about it as he lives in SD permanentely??
I guess any taxista should know were to find it if you ask them.

Unless you live in NYC or Miami you are screwed. NY and Miami are the only cities with direct flights. Sometimes you can get a direct charter flight from other cities. Tour operators selling the all-inclusives. Sometimes you can buy air only at a good price. Especially if it is last miniute. Many times advertised rates do not include taxes and fees. The DR has one of the highest airport taxes in the world, over $100.00 US

Spirit Air flies from Fort Lauderdale, AA from San Juan, Delta from Atlanta, Air Canada from Toronto, all non stop. AA also flies from Boston and Antigua, and Continental from Newark to several cities.
So you missed more than you got right.
Spirit is also starting flights from orlando MCO to SDQ. They are doing an intro special of 18 bucks round trip! You need to add taxes to that but probably winds up just under 100 bucks.
