Sounds like the plan is to get the HK VIP Card for $50 because it gives you extra time with the lady in the short-term $12 hotel room (45 minutes compared to 30 minutes, in your helpful example),

I don't know about Cascadas, but there's an ATM just inside HK. Personally, the only thing I take into Tijuana is cash, my car keys, and my passport card. If I start getting low on cash, it's time to head for the border.ATM in Cascadas by both reception desks.

You need to talk to the chica if she does not post in front of Cascada because she might upsell for added time (same as if you had a room there.).

and realized that if I received a call in Mexico, that the person calling me would hear a different ring tone. So at the last minute, I decided to put my phone into airplane mode so I wouldn't connect to the Mexican phone service. I decided that it would be easier to say that my phone died and I was charging it, than to try to explain the strange ringtone.
There was one point when someone came up to me and offered to take me in a bus / van for $5 which would take me to the front of the line. I didn't know if it was a scam. A guy nearby told me it wasn't worth it. So I didn't do it. I got back to my car early enough that I didn't hit the northbound traffic to LA / OC.
Thanks to everyone who has posted here in the past to give me the information I needed to have an enjoyable first trip.Yes careful with the ringtone, over the years I have learned that it depends on if and when your cell phone is connected to the Mexican cell tower, listen carefully as this bit of information just may save you and some others a whole lot of headache and maybe even some heartache with you and your GF or wife or SO. Now I leave my cell phone IN THE ROOM and do not carry it as then it goes into roaming and hence the funny international type of ring that the caller would hear. Hell I don't like Leyva but I also get work related calls so this works.
Next the bus deal, no its not a scam but the van you get into pulls into the special bus lane and I have waited upwards of 2. 5 hours sitting in the van, so it does not buy you any time in crossing. It is not a scam though just you will sit the hours and not have to stand perhaps in the heat of the day.
The trick is the SENTRI pass, I just went online and applied for mine a few weeks back. That line is usually 20 minutes when the regular line is 2 - 3 hours.

International roaming in Mexico with my phone's carrier would cost over $4 a minute--way too much. I read on a phone forum that a SIM from the Mexican carrier TelCel is a low-cost way to make calls from Mexico to the USA. What other carriers do you all use to make calls while in Tijuana? Is there a conveniently located cell phone store near Hong Kong or Revolution?

The Tall Man.While you are waiting for your Sentri pass, you can get a passport card. That will get you in the Ready Lane, and if you already have a passport book the passport card is only $30 plus photos. The longest I have ever waited in the Ready Lane is about an hour, when the regular line was at least 3 hours. That was a particularly horrible day. The other times it was never more than 20 minutes.

They take walkins, but on weekend they fill up. just like any hotel make a reservation to be sure. Make a reservation to get a better rate. I do believe it is $5. I get a room for $50 on Sunday every week. It may be $45 with VIP card. I just don't go to HK that much anymore so my VIP expired. I don't do the Short term room at Cascada, but If I did I would suggest the VIP card, The Extra time (45 min for BGs & 30 min for SGs) is WELL WORTH it! Cascada are ASSHOLES at watching the clock no matter what day or time. The cum boys want the tip as fast as possible. The knock comes early!
If I don't have a room in Cascada, I don't go there! I go with "Cascada" girls when I have a room there, and go with other girls when I am not. (to their hotels).

However, Verizon and Sprint phones are CDMA (not GSM), so they don't use SIMs, so their phones won't work with TelCel or Movistar. Just take out the SIM in your current AT&T or T-Mobile phone and put in the TelCel or Movistar SIM.

I travel in baja quite often and purchased a telcel for that purpose. Service is really good. Its an older style phone nothing fancy. $25 works great. You can buy at any oxxo and purchase minutes as well at oxxo. Very inexpensive I usually only add $10 at a time and that lasts 4 days or so depending on usage of course.

I seem to remember now there are a few "world" phones that are CDMA in the home country but have a SIM slot (like GSM phones) for world travel.

.I have the same combination. The Verizon iPhone 5 comes unlocked from the factory. I have plugged in GSM SIM cards and used it in 5 different countries on 4 different continents. GSM works like a charm. Make sure you turn off international CDMA in the iPhone's settings.

Has anyone here ever stayed in the master suite at Cascadas? It goes for $100/ night. It looks pretty sweet with the stripper pole, sex-chair, and jacuzzi. I stayed in a master suite a couple of weekends. If you know a girl or two that is willing to spend some extra time with you, you can do all the extra fun stuff. But, the regular girl in HK with do the 30 minute thingy unless you pony up the extra money. Knowing some of these girls are key when it comes to spending extra time in your room.
BTW, the suite I stayed in was in the middle of the hotel, so I was not disturbed by the mariachi band.

Regarding your long wait at the border, it seems from OldGoat98's two very helpful links, the times to avoid the border are the 14-hour window between about 6:15 AM and 8 PM, especially Saturday and Sunday, followed by either Monday or Friday (the 4 worst days for that 14-hour window). (d) No cover to pay on weekends. Just walk in and out as much as you please.
(e) Free limo to the boarder. A taxi would cost $4+$1 tip, and I give the drive $3 tip, so it doesn't save much.
(f) Free limo pickup at the boarder. I've never done this.
(g) I never use the personal waiter. Pretty silly to me, there are already too many waiters in that place.

I just bought my VIP card this Friday. It's good for 4 months. I go to Tijuana at least 2 times a month for a couple of days at a time so for me it's really worth it. On Friday and Saturday nights they charge a cover. With the card all you do is flash it and you go right in every time. 1st beer is free and half off the lap dances upstairs ($11). You can make a reservation online and say you have a VIP card then before you checkin to your room go to the front entrance and buy the VIP card. Once VIP card is in hand then go to check in and now you have your 20% discount. This is exactly what I did this weekend. When taking a girl from HK upstairs just tell her that you have a room upstairs. All you will need is to buy condoms where you checked in. I suggest to bring your own condoms from the USA. I emailed the Cascadas and they told me that a VIP card can be used for 20% off any room including the $100 Master Suites and even 50% off the Master Suites on Monday and Tuesday nights!! That would pay for the card with a single nights stay!

long time lurker, first time poster. been down enough times to add some intel and share the story of a quick wednesday trip that happened to fall on a 24th anniversary party for hong kong. it was so special i had to create an account and share.

I see by Google Maps that I take two trolleys for about an hour and a half total to get down to the border (the San Ysidro Transit Center). Then, I take it that I just hoof it to the border, cross by foot, and on the other side, I just hop into a taxi for the rest of the remaining journey to HK? I take it that it's ok and relatively safe to navigate this part of the journey lugging all of my luggage around with me (a backpack and small suitcase)?
So, are there any other transport means I should consider to get from San Diego airport to HK?

We don't often write about dress code. Long ago someone wrote that you would look out of place if you wore shorts; I disagree. If you are a gringo, there is no point trying to dress like you are Mexican because they will figure you out real quick.
Some men wear sandals, but I always wear solid shoes. The sidewalks are in bad shape and it is easy to stumble and twist an ankle.
If it is cool, I wear an neat looking shirt (and maybe a windbreaker) and cargo pants. If it is warm, I wear a golf shirt and cargo shorts. Some of the girls will run their toes up your shorts, which I find to be quite enjoyable. For me, the most important thing is to wear pants with lots of large zippered pockets (wallet, keys, condoms, lube, cell phone). If you are still carrying a passport, that's another reason to wear cargo pants or shorts.
I've done some experiments wearing nice clothes (office casual) versus workman's clothes (worn Dickies or similar). Yes you need your passport to get back to the states, depending on which hotel you stay they will have a safe. That should be good enough. Take enough cash to have fun but a card for an emergency would be ok.
You can drink whatever you want. I once sat at a booth in HK and heard a guy order a hot tea. I am not kidding. If you know you're a lightweight then don't get smashed. That is the one thing to avoid.

However, you'll be able to find a way to communicate, even if you have to get a mesero to translate. The "older" ladies usually speak passable English. The young ones, well, it's pretty spotty.
Wherever you lock your passport, you MUST have I'd on you at all times. Whether that's a passport, a DL or, in my case, a passport card, you MUST have it. The Mexican police can stop anybody, anytime, anywhere. And they often do. No probable cause is needed. If you don't have I'd, well, you may be OK or they may decide to fuck with you on General Principles.
A few hundred bucks? What exactly are you planning? Only carry approximately what you intend to spend.

You don't need to speak any Spanish. I'm sure it would help to speak it, but I don't speak a lick of Spanish and I do just fine. I'll tell you what's fucking awesome is the free Google Translste app. You can download the specific language packs to the phone's hard drive so that you can use the app even in airplane mode. 1. NEVER EVER pay first. If she insists on it, it is best to cancel the deal and walk away. Even if you are already in the room and your cloth are off get dressed and walk. She has a reason for wanting to be paid upfront and it probably has to do with her providing bad service or wanting to upsell as the session progresses.

In my case, I had a two day reservation and just paid for both days upfront. I mean, why the hell would I want to be bothered with having to return to the front desk to pay again for my second day? I've never heard of a hotel that did that. You either pay all upfront or all at the end at checkout.
Since I failed to get a receipt upfront when I paid for my entire stay, I wasn't able to prove that I had paid for both days and was subsequently forced to pay for the second day on my second day. The front desk guy claimed that I had only paid for the first day and showed me on his clipboard where HE supposedly had recorded that I had only paid for one day.
I stayed in the Master Jacuzzi Suite, $135/ night minus the 20% discount for the VIP card. I distinctly remember having paid for both nights because I remember giving the guy 250 for the $216 total and getting my $34 change back.
The funny thing is that my key card stopped working at noon on my second day. I went back to the front desk to have it reactivated. I had assumed that it was a demagnetization problem with the key card stripe. But in fact, according to the desk guy, all key cards automatically stop working at Noon of each day. He reactivated my card, and I went about my merry business. Here's the weird part: The front desk guy waits until I am bringing up a chica to my room before dropping his scam on me. Since I had a chica with me and was taking her to the room, I got flustered and was confused at first and went ahead and paid the guy. The front desk guy could have dropped this news on me when my key card needed to be activated, but NO, he deliberately waited until I was headed to the room with a chica. But then shortly after paying, I distinctly remembered the details of having already paid for two nights but it was too late by then. The guy had already scammed me. I complained to the manager at Hong Kong but the manager of course wouldn't do anything except offer me a free drink, which I didn't give a damn about.
So, the lesson here is simple. ALWAYS GET A RECEIPT WHEN PAYING IN CASH! Otherwise, that bastard at the front desk will be free to try to scam you.

traffic. every time i don't make it pass oceanside by 11 am on a saturday, i am stuck in traffic at oceanside for at least 30 minutes of fender to fender craw.
mexican money. i exchanged $200 for pesos and kept $100 for other uses. the exchange rate was 12.9 which was a little low because i thougth that the dollar would have advance more agains the mx pesos by now. anyways for simplicity sake, i just treated the pesos as though it was 10:1. a 100 pesos was the same as $10 as far as i was concerned. so taxi should cost 50 pesos, and a beer for a girl + tip should total $100 pesos. easy system to remember.
parking. after driving pass the $6 parking lot behind burger king and the $7 parking behind mcdonalds, i parked at the $10 duty free parking over the bridge. why? because unlike the others, this one requires a parking pass before leaving. since the parking booth is cash only, there's a likely security camera rolling and thieves will likely avoid the parking lot. also, there is enough vacancy in the lot for me pick a spot under a giant light to deter theft.
taxi. walking pass the pesty yellow cab cartel, i finally told them that they're far overpriced charging $10 to patrons of adelitas. if they insisted on that price, then they should save their breath and look for first time tourists because frequent visitors to zona notre aren't going to put up with those prices. as i get to the pickup area, a couple of white cab drivers approached on foot. they ask if i need a ride to adelitas. i pull out a 50 pesos bill. the first two hesitated and looked at each other. i didn't waste a moment, and offered it to the 3rd cabby sitting in his cab who laugh and opened the door for me, and off we went. he who hesitates.
hong kong. it was 5 pm. i had the itch so i had to stop here first even if i haven't eaten anything all day other than a cup of coffee. surprisingly they still haven't started to force people to buy a beer to enter. that's a sign that it's not yet crowed. but it also shows me that the 2nd shift have not yet arrived. asking price was $80, which quickly dropped to $60 when you're willing to walk away. btw, i am asian and i will tell you now, it pricing has little to do with race. if the girls won't take $60, it's not asians driving prices up, it's you. you're probably smelly, rude, obnoxious, dirty, ugly, possessing zero negotiating skills, or simply a royal pain in the ass with zero personality and they don't want you touching them.

tropical. this is my new favorite place. but caveat, you do have to be sort of a veteran to truly appreciate this place. at hk, i would say that 70% of the girls are attractive enough for me to want to have sex with. at adelitas, about 40% are at that level. here at tropical, it drops to about 10%. but unlike the other places, it gets real interesting here. i met a pretty girl that was on her 3rd day on the job. she absolutely refused to go arribe! i thought i was on the twilight zone. after 30 minutes of flirting and getting her guards down did she agree to only to go the vip room (i've no idea what that is). it took another 30 minutes to finally gained her trust to take her upstairs where she practically raped me after the lights went off. this is the same girl who slapped my roaming hands for the last hour. afterwards, she gave me specific instructions on what days she works and don't, and what shift. .i think she wants to meet again.

border. it was 3:30 pm and the wait was 2 hours. wtf? there was at least two fights, one between 4 girls. so policia had their hands full running up and down the lines. note to myself, get a sentri card. i didn't even get to my car until 4 am. and returned to mi casa at 6 am, beating out the sunrise by about 15 minutes.
conclusion - hell of a saturday.
cost: $50 gas + $250 entertainment expense. i wonder how i will explain this to the irs.

If you walk pass the yellow cab crowd to the next street. The white cabs will go to HK for 40, and the yellow cabs on that street will go for 50 or less. With the cabs, it is a buyer's market. I've gotten cabs to the zona for 3 bucks.
When you are leaving the zona, just hold up 40 pesos, many white cabs are more than happy to get that amount.
TROPICAL VIP - Anyone ever use this? I was quoted $45. One girl stated that people do have sex in there. I was unsure whether it was accurate. I think you get several beers. Is that for you? Stay to the left after crossing the border and look for the blue and white buses. Use only in the day time. Some time wait can be around 10 minutes than just take the white cab for $3 to Downtown or $5 to HK area.The yellow and white buses will take you to First and Constitution for 5 pesos, 2 blocks closer. ABOUT ME.
Most of my mongering has been in Europe. Recently, I decided to give Tijuana a try. I was kind of hesitant since Latinas aren't really my thing. Instead, I tend to go more for the Eastern European chicks. They drive me crazy! In any case, given that Tijuana is a lot closer for me than Europe and the airfares there are a lot cheaper, I figured I'd head out to Mexico for an extended weekend and check out the scene. My favorite girls are the thin, petite, spinner types, usually 18-22.
CHICAS AND CHICA PRICING.
There were tons and tons of girls with great bodies but also lots of girls who were a little too heavy. In my case, I simply offered 1500 pesos per hour to girls I approached. I suspect I overpaid because all of the girls I suggested this to immediately accepted my offer without hesitation. Before you castigate me for overpaying, know this. There's not a whole lot of info here on the board about typical 1 hour pricing. Also, I was in a different situation most other visitors to the Hong Kong club. Since Latina girls aren't really my type to begin with, there were only 2-4 girls in the entire club I was willing to go to the room with (for example, 3 girls acceptable to me on Friday and a total of maybe 4 on Saturday). So, my options were fairly limited, so if these few girls turned me down, I would have had no other alternatives available to me.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS.
From reading the reports here, I thought the music would be so loud as to require ear plugs, the kind of loudness that would cause hearing damage, but this was not the case. Yes, the music was loud, but not intolerable or unbearable -- for me anyways.
The other thing I learned was that the Meseros weren't as annoying as I thought they would be from all the reports here. Completely ignoring them turned out to be an effective strategy for me.
From reading the reports here, I also imagined the girls being more aggressive, but the girls were not aggressive in their approaches at all. Indeed, I've experienced much worse in German FKKs when business was slow and the girls were desperate. Here in Hong Kong, I only experienced girls smiling at me and very occasionally, a girl who brushed my arm as I walked past. No girls ever grabbed my arm in an attempt to physically stop me to force interaction with me and no girls ever jumped in front of me to block my path (as I've experienced in other P4 P locales). So, all in all, I have to say that the girls were all well behaved, at least in their approaches.
As reported many times, Saturday night about 10 pm got really packed -- the place was elbow to elbow guys. What really struck me though was the availability of girls there in the club even with all of those guys. There were still tons and tons of girls available to be picked up even with all of those guys. I suspect that many of the guys there just go to drink and look at the girls and don't go arriba with them. If there were that many guys in a German FKK, you can bet there wouldn't be a single girl left in the club -- they'd all be busy in the rooms!
I found the service levels at Hong Kong to be adequate but lower than what I tend to experience in the German FKKs I typically frequent. In Germany, BBBJ is standard. In Tijuana, CBJ is standard. Even taking away the covered aspect, the oral skills of the girls I went with in Tijuana simply didn't compare to the oral bliss I typically experience in Europe. Since my Spanish isn't that great, I really didn'thave the Spanish faculties to properly train these young girls. In the end, I would get frustrated with their lack of oral skills and just decided to simply enjoy fucking them over and over, again and again, which turned out to be quite enjoyable.
Another disadvantage of Tijuana compared to the FKKs is that it is easy to get surprised in the room with a girl whose body clearly shows the tolls of motherhood. In the FKKs, the girls are completely nude to start with, so there are generally no surprises in the room.
ACCOMMODATIONS.
I booked the Master Jacuzzi Suite at Hotel Cascadas. Ended up in room 429. The room was actually quiet and I couldn't hear any of the club music in my room at all, so that was good. But there was a band playing at times outside in front of the hotel and they were so loud that they were definitely audible in my room. Luckily, the band was gone late at night. All the girls who visited my suite seemed suitably impressed. They would all remark about the difference between my suite and the other rooms. The room itself was kind of cheesy. I don't think I would ever book it again. If I go again, I will simply book the Deluxe Single or Deluxe Double room. I did not use my hotel Cascadas room for sleeping. Instead, I booked a room at Hotel Ticuan.
HOTEL TICUAN.
Very nice hotel, but when booking at this hotel, you absolutely MUST remember to request a QUIET room on the Constitution Road side of the hotel. Ticuan hotel is right next to an extremely loud nightclub that plays incredibly loud music all night long, every single night. Luckily, I always bring ear plugs with me. The ear plugs combined with a sleeping pill did the trick for me. But I would never stay at this hotel again if I had to be in one of their loud rooms. Apart from that part of my experience, I found the hotel to be quite nice and I was pleased with my accommodations and their customer service.
EATING.
My favorite eating place was across the street from Hong Kong, about 150 feet down the street, Sonoro's Grill and Subs. In fact, this is where I ate almost all my meals. Tasty and cheap. I particularly liked their Carne Asadas tacos (3). Good prices. I even liked their cheeseburger and fries.
OTHER CLUBS.
I walked through the neighboring clubs several times throughout both days of my visits (Tropical and Adelitas). In my quick walk throughs of both clubs, I never saw anyone in either club who really interested me.
THE STREET BEHIND Hong Kong.
I walked a few times up and down the street behind Hong Kong Club. Apparently, that's where all the independent street girls line up outside trying to entice folks. I never saw anyone truly compelling out there either. It was kind of funny that many of the girls would make a "shee-shee" sound as I passed, trying to get my attention. A couple brave ones tried to brush my arm as I walked by in a further attempt to get my attention.
THE VIP CARD.
The VIP card was well worth it to me, both for my room discount and also because I went in and out of the club dozens of time both days I visited. The VIP card also enabled me to skip the line where you get frisked. They never tried to frisk me, since they don't seem to frisk VIP card holders.
SAN DIEGO TO TIJUANA AND BACK.
I took the Blue Line Trolley, each way a whopping $2. 50 one-way ticket. Total time between the trolley stop closest to the airport down to the border only takes 46 minutes. When I returned to go to the airport, Google Maps told me which bus to take to get from the trolley station to the airport, so I didn't even have to bother with a taxi. Bus fare was a whopping $2. 25. In my cases, I found the trolleys and buses to show up on time according to the time table in Google Maps.
BORDER CROSSING.
I returned to the border on Sunday around 9:30 am. The general pedestrian public line was enormous and didn't seem to be moving at all. Who knows how many hours that line would have taken. As a Global Entry member, I have a border crossing card that they give you when you enter Global Entry that allows us to use the Sentri lanes. I recommend not going to Tijuana without having access to the Sentri lanes.
At the back of the pedestrian line, the general public line overflows into the expedited Sentri line. So, if you were to pay attention to the signs and get in the pedestrian lanes, you would actually be standing behind everyone in the general public lane. The mass of people there is so great that you can't really move past them to get to the Sentri lane. So what you have to do is walk against the flow of people walking the other way to get into Mexico like a salmon until you get to the front of the line and there, you will be able to actually get into the Sentri lane. At 9:30 am, there were only 2 people in front of me, but the lady handling our lane was MIA, probably on a break or something. So, we waited another 10 minutes until she returned.
The border officer was asking me lots of questions but as soon as she discovered that I was on my way to the San Diego International Airport, she suddenly seemed satisfied and immediately stopped questioning me and let me through. I suspect that they give you less scrutiny if they think you're on the way to the airport since the border officer presumes that you will be subjected to stringent airport security at the airport anyways, so it's less likely that you're trying to smuggle something back into the States. So, if you're traveling by air upon returning to the States, it might make sense to offer this information up first when the border officer is asking you all those questions about where you're going, etc.

I've noticed the same thing with the loud music at HK. My hypothesis is that it is just as loud as clubs that cause ear pain, but, the HK sound system is so good that it doesn't distort the music. Music can be much louder if it is distortion free. If the music volume bothers you, try going to a place where the ceiling above your seat is lower, that seems to help a little bit. On the north end of the building, that would be on the west side. Or, on the south end of the building, that would be on the east side.
I also don't have a problem with the meseros. Just a "no thank you" has always been enough to get them to move along. I don't understand why so many customers get upset with the meseros. It does feel a little odd to have one of them follow you around just after you enter.

For hk, if you plan to be there on weekend and coming in / out, it will save you a lot of money / hassle for buying that entrance drink.
Another thing to attempt is to become a super high regular / rolla' but that's is going to cost you more than the card.
If you do plan on taking MANY chicas for short time, then using the card may be of benefit because of the extra 15 minutes each time you get.
But honestly, at one point you just stop keeping track.
Another benefit is the to / fro border limo ride. But not many people use it from border, and it doesn't sound like you are going to border during that period, so nothing worthwhile there.
In short. If you are only planning that one single visit, then the only benefit is the in / out privileges from the club without having to buy those fucking door drinks.

For the way I use it, a 2 or 3 day stay is just about the break even point. The HK website should tell the specific benefits. For me, the key things are:
* Free first drink each day. Save about $4 per day.
* Longer time in short term rooms (I think non-VIPs get 30 minutes but VIPs get 45 minutes).
* Limo to border. Save about $5 per trip to USA. I tip the limo driver much better than I tip the cab driver, so, it really doesn't save me that whole $5.
* 20% discount in Cascadas rooms for overnight stay. Save about $10+ per day. Save more if you get something better than the standard room.
* In and out without buying a beer at the door (weekend evenings). This is important to me because I tend to wander from place to place.
The other VIP benefits are meaningless to me.

So after getting about 4 hours of sleep, my internal east coast alarm went off to wake up. Shit. Its 5 am, and I'm awake. What the hell am I supposed to do now. Oh wait. I'm in Tijuana! Let's go find someone to grope. Dressed and down the stairs. Yep. Still dark and dirty streets, but slightly less full of beggars, chicas, and their ilk. I slipped into HK and ran into mesero #187 from last night. He treated us well last night, but was leaving. He handed me off to #127. Equally nice guy who brought me a water and let me be.

From all the reports here, I suspected that I would have difficulty with the Meseros pestering me for drinks. Yes, they are persistent and can be annoying at first, but I quickly discovered that I am free to absolutely ignore them completely. I just pretended like I couldn't hear or see them.
Here is my summary of all of the Mesero tactics I observed:
(1) Gesticulate wildly when a guest enters the club. A preferred mesero tactic is to confidently wave their arm and point in a some definite direction as if they are supposed to guide you to a seating location. This supposedly lays their claim on you, sort of like a dog peeing on something to mark his territory. I imagine that this confident gesturing is supposed to trick you into thinking that this practice is normal procedure to encourage interaction with you and for you to order a drink from them. I simply ignored them when they did this and walked past them.
(2) The Meseros will follow you around incessantly, waiting for you to stop so they can ask you if you want a drink. If you keep walking around, they will eventually tire of following you and move on to their next prey. They usually tire of following me after about the time I've covered about 1. 5 times the length of the club.
(3) When you do eventually stop, they approach you to ask you what you want to drink. I simply ignore them (literally) and they eventually go away. Sometimes if I'm feeling in an especially good mood, I will smile and simply say gracias, but usually I just flat out ignored them.
(4) Sometimes when I am not moving, they will flash the backside of their drink tray at me. The tray backside has their appetizer menu. They also have a more full menu they can bring you. I never ordered anything there. I have never seen anyone eating food there. They really love to do this when you're sitting with a chica. Again, I simply ignored them. My chica would attempt to point out that the Mesero was trying to speak to me,. I would simply explain to her that I speak to Meseros when I want to speak to Meseros, not when they want to speak to me. That seemed to satisfy my chicas.
Eventually, my tactic of ignoring the meseros paid off. I suspect that they started to recognize me and stopped hassling me as often probably because it is no fun going up to some dude who just ignores you. If it doesn't pay to bother a guy and you know you're not getting a tip, why waste your time? Yes, they still sometimes bugged me after a couple days, but much less than when I first arrived.
It seems that there is some sort of rule though that you must buy a drink for a girl when she is sitting with you (or so my chicas seemed to think). As soon as I was talking with a girl, a Mesero would show up in literally seconds to take our order. So, I would let her order a drink and the funny thing is that 5 more Meseros would show up in the meantime while we were waiting on her drink and my chica would have to explain to each Mesero that we already ordered a drink (because I would ignore the each Mesero and not even acknowledge them).
In my case, I almost never ordered myself a drink (except when I needed some caffeine). In fact, everyone seemed satisfied with me not drinking when I ordered my chica a drink. I probably saved a ton of cash by not always ordering myself a drink when my chica ordered a drink. Hell, I wasn't thirsty, so why order a stupid drink for myself, which would just be a waste of money?
I learned talking to my chicas that the girl gets $3 back from the $10 girl drinks (via her ticket she gets from the Mesero that she can later redeem). I never tested this, but I suspect I would have been better off simply finding out what she wanted to drink, ordering that drink for myself for only $5, giving my drink to my chica along with the $5 I saved. I would still end up paying the same, $10, but my chica would get $2 more than she would otherwise.
I suspect that I really didn't have to buy my chicas drinks at all and that I could have simply refused to buy her drinks but I did not test this theory. I know all the advice about not wanting to come off like a cheapskate with the girls, but this wasn't a concern in my case with the chicas I was spending multiple hours a day with. The chicas I ended up staying with seemed quite happy with our arrangements, and I'm fairly certain that they wouldn't have batted an eye lash over me being ludicrous with the whole chica drink thing. I mean, what is my chica going to do if I refuse to buy her a drink if she knows that I'm going upstairs with her in 10 minutes anyways? I doubt she would say, "Well, I can't sit with you, so I have to go stand over there until you're ready to go upstairs. " I doubt that, although to be fair, I never tested my theory. I will have to test this next time, because those drinks add up and I don't really want to waste all that money on drinks when neither my chica nor I are really want a drink in the first place.
I know a lot of people say to be nice to the meseros because they can be useful with info. But I'm so picky with Latinas to begin with and the club has less than 5 girls in the whole place who interest me enough to go to the room. So, I certainly don't need the meseros to point out which 3-5 girls in the club appeal to me. My dick already knows who those 3-5 girls are and trust me, my dick never hesitates to make his preferences known to me.

If a chica sits with you long enough and you refuse enough meseros, eventually one of them will tattle on her to the mgr. The mgr will then come over and tell her to leave you unless you buy a drink. And if she takes too long to drink it, well, the process starts over again. She will get tattled on for drinking too slow and get in trouble. The chica drinks are $8 usually and from what I've heard they get $30 mn per drink. Bottles of water and energy drinks are $20 or so, and they get double fichas for those. A chica cannot drink a non-ficha drink. No chica in there is dumb enough to drink a 12 oz beer or other obvious non-ficha drink. I've had cases where an extremely drunk chica, barely conscious, wants water. One or two times I ordered her a bottle of water and was charged $20. Then I learned and ordered it for myself and paid $4 for the exact same bottle.
The chica can't sit with you unless you buy a drink. Fuck the chica, the meseros and the manager. When I go to HK I wander around in circles, pausing to place dollar bills between cleavages and into g-strings, firmly telling meseros to go away. I only buy drinks if I am thirsty. I find what I want, go arriba, take some fotos doing the busty chica, kiss her and wander around some more between HK, Adelitas or wherever. Don't let these muchachos push you around. Be firm. Geez. I go there once every two or three months while in SD on business and this is what I do.

Let me interrupt this dick-measuring contest for just a second.
The ownership's objective is to extract every dollar they can from gringos, they are not in business to provide a free hookup site. Therfore, the girls in these clubs have a ficha quota to meet. Rules vary by club; I've heard everything from the girl coming out-of-pocket if she fails to meet the quota, to being forbidden to go arriba until the quota is met, etc. , etc. The point is that you aren't necessarily doing the girl any favors by refusing to buy her a drink. Most of the big spenders here can afford to part with a Jackson for a couple of fichas.
Now, the treatment of the customers by the meseros is another thing entirely.

Besides the ficha requirement for the chicas, we also have to buy drinks. I have been kicked out twice for not having a drink while standing still. If you are moving then I think that is pretty safe but if you are standing still or sitting at a table then the meseros can ask you to leave if you don't have a drink.

Went to Adelita's and Hong Kong on Halloween when visiting Tijuana. While Adelita's offered quite the awkward environment, Hong Kong offered a more typical strip club atmosphere. TIAAbout 90% of the HK and AB girls seem plenty clean to me and I don't remember a girl ever taking a shower first. If a small amount of sweat turns you off, you should avoid the athletic dancers. You can usually join her for a quick shower after. Don't expect that treatment from the street girls.
Sometimes a girl will ask for pre-payment, but typically payment waits. Some men will say that pre-payment will lead to poor performance, I don't remember that being a problem at HK or AB.

It has always been my understanding that the STD testing done in Tijuana related to the issuance of chica health cards is limited to testing for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea and AIDS / HIV only.

But that just means that there will only be 30 to 50 chicas in the place at that time instead of the +100 chicas that you will find in there during peak times.
I'm not as selective as many mongers, but as long as a few chicas are flaca enough. I wouldn't have any trouble in finding a few acceptable chicas with that number of choices.
Something else going for you at that time is that HK will not be a sausage fest at that hour on any day of the week. So finding someone who is both desirable and available is almost certain.
However if you are the type of monger who on previous trips took a few laps in HK and didn't find anyone to your liking. That's likely to repeat for you on a weekday afternoon.

The smaller penthouse suite contains a front parlour room equipped with a stripper pole, seating for five and a large jacuzzi tub. It also has a separate bedroom with two large beds in it.
The smaller suite normally rents for $295 a night on most nights, and $375 per night on Fridays and Saturdays.
The larger penthouse suite's front has a stripper pole on a larger stage, seating for over a dozen. It has two separate bedrooms, the larger bedroom is equipped with a jacuzzi tub.

Friday's are just too crowded, especially now that they have the upstairs blocked off. It's next to impossible to get a table and just standing around gets tiresome. It takes 5 minutes just to navigate through the crowd to go to the bathroom. And be prepared to be bumped and drinks spilled on you along the way. Yes there will be significantly more chicas there on a Friday but also many more guys there to keep them occupied. The chances that you are the first customer a girl goes arriba with on a Tues is much higher than a Fri. I mean, do you really want to take a chica arriba after she just took off the robe? I mean she hasn't even gotten dry yet. Also, weekends are when the chicas aim to make their money so they'll be in a rush, whether it is drinking fichas or trying to finish upstairs because there are a ton of customers around and want to move on to the next sucker. For me, it's much easier to relax and enjoy the scenery on a Tues than Fri.

Looking forward to giving my report shortly after.I have been there on Tuesday a couple of times at the five in the afternoon mark. It's not terrible but not good either. You will have lots of waiters near the entrance bothering you the second you walk through the door. I would wait just a bit until about six thirty to go there. You will start seeing two shifts of girls about that time and can increase your odds of being a first customer. As far as waiters go, if you see a young taller one #99, Miguel, he won't rip you off and acts very polite. As far as the girls go, it's more or less a buyers market. I avoid the ones working as duos and the others who simply want you to give them money for walking around in skimpy outfits. If you sit at the dancer's stage in the front area along the back side you can get a good view of many girls to get an idea of whom you find attractive.
The upstairs will be closed during the week but open on weekends. Friday nights gets very crowded.

I have not been with her, but I have seen her around. She is actually more attractive in person. The photo makes her look plastic.
