Yes, but it was a 6am flight to Melb, then a 6or so hr wait for the flight to Sing, then wait from 7:30pm till like 4am for the flight to Manila and then last of all a 2hr drive to AC.

I would have lost 3 days of partying so I decided to postpone it till the end of March.

It would have been a little quicker to book another flight with Tiger Air from Sing to Clark but I still would have had to wait two days for the flight anyways.

I'm glad your friend made it over there.

Ask him to have a few SML's for me.

Average rooms, great breakfast buffet, good pool GREAT STAFF, near to Mall of Asia, I have walked there, there is a great no sex massage place close also, Korean Place, good value, it is also near to Airport, they will pick you up and near to some Adult activities also. Stay clear of the area to the South it is a little rough. I took my kids there but I am more adventurous than most.

On my way to Cagayan de Oro. My girl, who lives in the States, is visiting there now and says that it's ok to visit. The floods didn't affect Limketkai or most other places that foreigners might visit. A trip with her to Davao will follow in the first week of January. the two big hotels-east asia and sun city suites-are adjacent to each other, and there may be talent lurking around them at night. e. asia forms the back part of a u-shaped complex. if you exit the hotel, and go to your left, strolling along the line of shops and bars that form that leg of the u, there's a bar with take-out hostesses who often hang out in front of the place.

gen san is, on balance, a faily boring place.

the two big hotels-east asia and sun city suites-are adjacent to each other, and there may be talent lurking around them at night. e. asia forms the back part of a u-shaped complex. if you exit the hotel, and go to your left, strolling along the line of shops and bars that form that leg of the u, there's a bar with take-out hostesses who often hang out in front of the place.

gen san is, on balance, a faily boring place.

gei would agree with good enough that compared to most phil cities gen san does not have much going for it. however since i have been there a few times meeting my g / f, here are some places we have been to. none of which have working girls but all have filipinas who i am sure with a little eye contact could be seduced (i mean invited over to your table. lol.) after all you don't see too many forighners in gen san to start with. verandas is a place on the roof of a building with a big crowd on weekends and a live band sometimes. the dance floor is so crowded you will be guaranteed a lot of strange body contact wheather you want it or not. pahayahay is a nice place with a laid back atmosphere and also has a band sometimes. volume is a bar close by the plaza which is realtively new and their music is too loud for my taste but also has a big crowd on weekends. my favorite place though is mismo bar which (showing my age here) has a band most night that only plays 60 and 70 music. the owner's name is alex and he sings and plays keyboard. if his band is not playing that night he has another take his place which i good also. its not too far from the plaza and i am sure any trike driver would know its location. the walls are all covered with posters of artists from those years

Just wanted to say thanks to all the members for the trip reports. It has helped, and yes it is true, you can get all your questions answered by reading here before you go. I have read here probably a good 8-12 hours in the last month prior to my trip. For new members, it helps to go straight to "reports of distinction" and then just read other posts after that. I have to admit to being a member for a long time without writing any posts. I have been just a taker. I used it mostly in Brazil from 2002-2009, but I was always in Floripa and not much to say about the place. I promise to write some detailed trip reports during this adventure. I arrive Manila staying there for a few days at Cherry Blossoms in Ermita. Then off to Angeles City for another few days to check it out. I will only stay a few days and then I head south to Sabang to do a bunch of diving. My trip length is 45 days. If I get tired of Sabang, my plan is to go check out Boracay and Cebu. After 45 days in the Phils, I head to Thailand for 45 days and will do the same there.

Traveling alone arriving manila airport 9 pm August 28th willing to share cab fare to angeles with anyone arriving similar time. In angeles 4 nights Orchid Inn (or maybe longer). I will post departure date from angeles when firm for anyone who wants to share cab from angeles back to manila airport. My last trip I took the bus that stops in front of the Orchid Inn to it's final destination (a manila hotel a short distance from the airport) and from there a taxi to the airport. On the way to angeles I took a taxi from the manila airport to pasay bus station and a bus to the outskirts of angeles before a final trike ride from there to the Orchid Inn. Nothing wrong with that experience but a taxi would be more time efficient and convenient especially if I can find someone to share the fare. I currently have a taxi scheduled to pick me up at the airport on Aug 28th 9 pm and deliver me to the Orchid Inn with the $60 fee added to my hotel tab. I'm not married to that plan if anyone has other arrangements as good or better and would like an extra passenger to share the cost (prefer to spend my money on girls not transportation).

Just now planning this 4 week visit to PH. Might alternatively decide to stay in manila a night or two before heading to angeles. Willing to meet ISG members for a beer anywhere along the way. Would especially welcome others for bar hopping angeles although last time I had an amazing good time on my own.

Other destinations so far will be cebu (one to two weeks there most likely) , cdo to meet a friend (few days with my friend and maybe another few days to explore) , then a visit to manila again at the very end of my trip for several days. I'll be in Makati from Sat Sept 14 for about 4 days. I always enjoy the company of well-travelled mongers and learn a lot too! The taller the tales, the more I like 'them. With so many posters here on the ISG tossing around comments like 'after my third pop' and 'I did her this way, then that way, then the other way' etc, I know that I won't be disappointed.

The bar in Outback Steakhouse in Glorietta 4 is a good spot where the lager is always cold and expats abound. Nice waitresses too!
