Single male traveler going to Casa Marina Resort from 3/22/09 until 3/28/09. I'm 42 y. O. And looking to hook up with some others. Casa Marina is "my home base", but I plan on hitting the public beach and bars more than staying on the resort. I am a newbe and look forward to hooking up with someone to hang with once in a while. Does anybody scuba dive? I am also looking for recomendations for a good day of diving! Let me know. I think this is going to be fun!
For mongering I prefer to be in the city as opposed to a resort-type area. IF you can change hotels try looking at the hotel listings at www.MyDRFest.com and check the Sosua Hotel Listing page. There is a column that indicates IF the property is GFE (Guest Friendly Environment aka Girl Friendly Environment). If your mongering will be in Sosua I like hotels near Calle Dr. Rosen which seems to be a CENTRAL LOCATION and great area for "MY HOME BASE". Rocky's is PERFECT for the budget-minded guests provided your needs are simple. RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SHIT for Sosua and a short walk to the beach. If you need accommodations a bit more upscale then browse the list and check out the other sites. Just my opinion, have a great trip.

This will be my first time is Sosua and I arrive that Friday. I will definitely stop by Rockys on Jan 24th. Unless my attention is misdirected! LOL
We have been holding gatherings on one of the other boards for a few years now and want to extend attendance to our ISG brethren too.

Just my opinion, have a great trip.I have traveled with guys who like to be in an all inclusive hotel, they like to eat and drink all they want Casa Marina is one of the most inexpensive all inclusive hotels in Dom. Rep. Package deals (airfare and hotel) on Orbitz from New York for 5 nights at Casa Marina can be had from between 500 to 650 dollars. The friend I traveled with enjoys the seafood restaurant at Casa Marina. For a newbie Casa Marina is not bad, he won't have to worry where to eat. Casa Marina is safe, it is almost like entering into a refuge after being out and about in Sosua. Always kind of amusing entering into Casa Marina after being out all night in Sosua and seeing the other guests with their shorts and bathing suits on, and we come walking in with our clothes for the disco from the night before.
When I travel alone I usually stay in a hotel and buy food outside. My Spanish is not bad, I am still terrible with the numbers in Spanish, so buying and paying for things, can sometimes be a pain. Some guys prefer not to have to worry about where they will eat and for that an inexpensive all inclusive like Casa Marina is not a bad option. However, staying at an all inclusive hotel, you will have the added cost of obtaining a place for sex. When I stayed at Casa Marina, I split the cost of a one bedroom condo with my friend. So I had a place to screw for about 22 dollars per day (condo rental 45 per day divided by 2). Staying at Rocky's is probably the most cost effective, plus the cost for food. I haven't eaten out too many times in Sosua. Baileys restaurant I ate at once, I bought dinner for two chicas there and a bottle of wine and some beers and the bill with tip was about 3000 pesos.

For the second leg of my trip, I will be in Santo Domingo Jan. 26th through Jan. 29th. I am a rookie to the Santo Domingo scene, but far from a rookie with the ladies! I switched my hotel to the Jaragua by Marriot. I decided I wanted to be more centrally located and feel totally comfortable. If I can't grease the hands of the security, I guess I'll have to take my company to the cabanas.

When you check into the Jaragua, make up some chica name and have them write it on the card, choose a spanish chica name, something like wendy morales, tell the front desk that she will be visiting you a cousin, una prima or something, they won't require details. (may be a good idea to give three chica names, to cover different chicas on different nights) First time I stayed in the Jaragua I gave them the names of three chicas. I don't remember if they asked for I.D. of the chicas when I brought them to the room in the Tower section. You can try to enter the Jaragua with whatever chica you pickup and tell the girl to say her name is wendy morales, if they ask for I.D., say she forgot it at home. It may work. Maybe easier at the garden view wing as there is usually only one guard posted at the entrance to the garden wing and that guard has a computer printout with the names of the guests, sometimes late at night the guard is sound asleep. Jaragua has a nice pool. Last time I stayed there, they wanted something like 25 dollars for one day of internet access in the room. Garden wing has kinda of dated rooms, some with views of the parking lot. Maison Gatreux is about three blocks from the Jaragua, around the corner from V Centannario, totally chica friendly, rooms about 42 dollars per night. Cabanas run about 20 dollars and if you dont have a car you will have to pay taxis to and from the cabanas.
There are about 8 cabanas on the malecon going in the direction past the hilton (about 10 minutes from the Jaragua), in the opposite direction of the zona colonial. I used the first or second cabana on the right, appeared the manager of the place was Korean. Not sure how it works if you take a taxi there, I guess the taxi would drop you off in front of the Cabana and then when you want to return to the Jaragua someone would have to call a taxi for you. The place where the Cabanas are located is not a very busy place, not sure if they have taxis just waiting there. The Cabana I used there was nothing special, kind of a beat up room, with two small towels, small bar of soap, price was less then 20. I am sure they have better rooms, so ask the taxi driver or the chica which cabana is recommended at what price. There is a decent Italian restaurant with tables under big thatch umbrellas, with views of the sea, close by the cabanas.
May be a good idea to rent a room in a smaller hotel, if you are unsuccessful in getting chicas into the Jaragua. There is another small hotel on a cross street that intersects with the street where Maison Gatreux is, between the malecon and independencia, called Hotel Alcaldeza, small hotel, used to be a radio station, it is about two minutes from Maison Gatreux, about 40 dollars per night. Never stayed there but that is another option, not sure if it is chica friendly but I would guess most smaller hotels are chica friendly.

Thanks for the info, guys. I do plan on renting a hotel for 2 nights on the town that are chica friendly. I'm not going down JUST for the mongering, lol....The chicas are an added benefit to my vacation! :) I plan on seeing the falls, doing a 4x4 trip, and taking it all in. If I don't feel like heading back to the resort, I won't! I just figured that the resort would give me a chance to hang with some english speaking guests also. Do you think I will be able to get a place in town when I am there, or do they book up fast the last week of march? After this trip I'll know better for the next one!

I'm looking for daytime activity in and around La Romana, see 04 posts mention El Swing Night Club, El Majo Night Club, wonder if someone knows where these are at in the area and if still open.
Been told by friend, I won't have time to go by Rocky's in Sousa which is good place for inexpensive room near Sousa action.
El Deceo and Domincan House were recommended back then any one know if still open in 09?

Second time to Sosua, third time to D.R. but a 15 year Veteran of many Cuban Campaigns, as well as 5 or 6 months in Thailand. Wanna hook up for a beer at Rocky's or Lou's Shark Bar then maybe a 'hunting' trip? Will send you a PM now.

I was a bit concerned I might have a problem in getting a local chica here , no problem whatsoever.
Arrived ship in port of Caso del Campo which is nice place to come in, got off ship 10 20 am, got cab driver, Valentin Rodriguez (809) 545 - 0174, (809) 550-0350 offers 24 hr service, speaks quite a bit of English, I speak quite a bit of Spanish so we communicate well, original $5 ride to city of La Romana turned into a good breakfast of orange juice, plaintains, soupa de pescado, and some grilled chicken.
Valentin escorting me in his nice cab, knows area well for $50 10 20 til 4 pm, did drive along shore to Malecon area near El Mega Bar and other establishments hooked me up with a 21 year old Domincana for 2 hours including hotel cost me $100.00, gal gave me nice massage, then great head with no condom, swallowed my load. I had a good meal, checked in and outta hotel and my cock drained by gal by 1 30 pm
Valentin just dropped me off at this cyber cafe and wanted to post a prompt report, I could have probably bargained more than I did but gal has 8 month old daughter, five year old son, nice chica, worked at the Italian restaurant there and had to pay the restaurant outta my fee for her exit from place
So good experience, La Romana seems very nice, temperature warm but not to warm would guess low 80īs.
Got be back to ship at 4 pm but one can stop here and get laid pretty easy if one has some knowledge of Spanish especially if one got ahold of Valentin.

There are some good posts in the Santiago thread. Appears to me that most hotels in Santiago are chica friendly, with the bigger hotels being more restrictive. I like to have a pool where I can take a chica swimming, especially a new non-pro girl, see her in a bikini, try to get touchy feely with her in the pool, afterwards she'll want to shower, so it is usually a good prelude to sex. Santiago I believe only has one hotel with a pool, hodelpa el gran almirante and it is over 150 u.s. dollars per night. I read some reviews of hotels in Santiago on other sites on the internet. Hotel Platino in Santiago got good reviews, the price on their website for their cheapest room, 1,234 pesos plus 26% tax: http://www.hotelplatinord.com/
I have been told that in the same complex as the hotel Platino is Platinum disco, supposedly a very popular disco. Hotel Matum, I read some bad reviews of this hotel on a travel site. Hotel Matum is in a good location in front of the monument. Aloha Sol Hotel is also in a good location near the monument, reasonably priced, I asked a chica who lives in Santiago about Aloha Sol Hotel and she told me it has rats, this won't stop me from using this hotel, I saw many rats while living in Manhattan.

I also searched for Condominium rentals in Santiago but found nothing. I will also be in Santo Domingo and I did a search for Apartment rentals in Santo Domingo and found about 7 rental apartments, prices starting at 55 per night.

I'll be there around Feb. 21 or so.That is a long ride on a 125cc motorbike. If you do it, try to drive in the daytime and try to have a cell phone with you, in case something happens. I never rented a motorbike in Dominican Republic, various places have rentals in Sosua. I know that there are motorcycle clubs in Dominican Republic, I have seen groups of guys driving Harley Davidson motorcycles in Dom. Rep. I'll ask some friends if they know any motorcycle rental places in Santo Domingo.

The Marriott on the autopisto Duarte near the airport has a pool and the best beds in the DR. Runs about $130 but can be as cheap as $100 w/ tax if you book ahead online.
And Colonial has two or three different buildings at various cheap prices.
I've stayed at Aloha and was not impressed. Without pool, I prefer Platino at about 2100P for superior room or Plaza Central on Ruben Dario at about 2300 for a regular room (includes a breakfast).
Lastly, but not least, Camp David is about $65 for a room with a balcony and a view of the city (when the wx is good).

Seems it's true. Arrival tax now up to $15 and I guess the exit has gone up $5 too. To quote Diario Libre "The government began to apply a new US$15 tax on each passenger that enters or leaves the country, and the money is destined to pay the loan for the Super Tucanos of the Dominican Air Force, among other uses." Not a good move in times of falling tourist trade!
Hi Everyone, after reading a few quotes regarding Luis I thought it my duty to fellow gringos to mention a brief warning.
This Tourist/Taxi/Guide etc. Luis Quesada that has been mentioned here many times, is someone you better be very careful with.
I have had some brief personall experiences with him that was very unsatisfactory. Unfortunately I will not provide the details because a fellow gringo friend of mine is currently dealing with a more serious situation of which includes some very advanced, premeditated, complicated scams including outright theft.
I am not one to slander anyone, but have personally experienced his attempted theft and know of much more serious situations. I will leave it at that. He is very good and convincing at his so called profession so be warned and very careful, as there are many other reputable options that may not come with such serious costly repricussions.

Depending on your age and looks the freebie experience yes does exist but not as common as one may think unless your willing to put in time. I have been here for 5 nmonths and have a nice young hot girlfriend of which asked me for nada. Sometimes the colmados in the university zona areas are good after school hours for meeting locals. For club scene, I think the Av. Venezuela may be the best bet, I specifically like La Baricca. Lots end up in the late night club after 2am at the downstairs club in Aurrora Hotel/Casino.
Is it your first time in SD? Not sure yet but may be up for something Friday, also have a couple DR local friends that are trustworthy, of which are not easy to find.

The last two times I went I did exactly what you are planning and stayed at BB's for a few days as I like to party there too and I can always go to Sosua while staying at BB's but somehow I always stay put once I am there so now I book a couple days at New Garden just to break it up. Don't worry about your age, I've seen plenty of guys in their 70's tearing it up in Sosua and at BB's.

Is this your first mongering trip? There's no reason to be uncomfortable in those places. Remember that everybody is there for the same reason. The men to pay for sex (as little as they can negociate) and the ladies to get paid to have sex (as much as they can negociate and sometimes even more!).
As for the age of the mongers, it goes from too young to be there (young ones shouldn't be paying for sex unless they're ugly as hell) to old enough to be any ladies in those places' grandfather.
I was worried about everything before my trip too, and once I got there I found out that everything was easy and close by.
I've never been in BB and have no plan to go. Pussy is pussy and there's plenty of that in Sosua. So, just go there and have fun.

Stay out the discos, bars, girl house, lapus, casino etc. Go shopping and strike up a conversation with the girls that have jobs. Go to a library, movie, anything that makes you a guy not interested in pussy. Girls will pickup on this sensitive side of you, and want to fuck you b/c your different. But ALWAYS remember to respect the chicas but trust NONE.

No, it's not frenzied, it is pretty laid back. Mongers are of all ages from 20's to 70's, though mostly from late 30's to late 50's. I met one guy at BB's who I think was in his 80's.
If you are older, that is fine. Half the population of Sosua is older retiree mongers, many of them German, sitting round in bars all day watching the soccer on TV, smoking cigars, and drinking themselves into a stupor.
Age is absolutely not important. What you need are 1) money, 2) a dick.

On a real deal just watch who you talk to when it comes to the locals. Talking to other mongers at the Bar and clubs is fine. We all look out for one another. Also read up on this site for more info on other monger's trip reports, it will save you from getting scammed. Further more don't pay over 2500 peso or know the price before you take the chica back to your hotel. These chicas are pure street smart hustlers and we do admire their game. That's why we all enjoy hunting them.

I checked a couple of online videos. I think they just give the impression that it is wilder than it is. Loud, distorted boom-boom music, lousy lighting, and an empty club. (A lot of the online videos of the DR that you will see seem to have horrible musical soundtracks that are rather misleading.)

As trusting taxis/tour guides and chicas in this area can be very challenging I thought I would share my experience.
I have met so far only one Dominican that I would recommend for help with rides, finding pro/non pro chicas, drinking friend etc. And he speaks fluent english. Whatever anyone needs he always seems to know someone. I consider him a friend and I am a 40 yr old Canadian who has now lived in SD for 5 months. He doesn't do any of these above as a set business but is always willing to help. I also don't mind hanging out somewhat with vistors who want some heads up or drinking partner.

Will be in Sosua from March 23rd to 30th. Had to take all inclusive due to cost being cheaper than flight only. However have made provision for Incidental expenses.-:) Which include sharing the cost of a room outside the resort, and possibly an incursion of a couple of day at BB in Costembar. (was there last year and for me couple day would be enough).
Fluent in English, French (if the French bar still exist in Sosua, could be interesting as per reading on the some Haitian girls would hang there) I can also speak a very basic Spanish, but enough to be understood and do basic negotiations.

Best place in town is Caribe. Plenty of cabanas in the area too. Be there for the strip show which begins about 1-2 a.m. No good looking strippers but the last one puts on a great show. Just stay away from the dance floor if you're solo.

ThanksIn Sosua? On the same street as New Garden, there is a car rental place, it is near to the pharmacy and a call center. I rented a small jeepeta from them one time. Price was about 40 dollars per day, they kept my passport as security. Fairly attractive woman works there with her brother.
Or you can make reservations online, with the big car rental companies and pick up the car in the airport. Nellie is a dominican car rental company, they have a site on the internet, where I believe you can make reservations. At the Santo Domingo airport you can pick up cars 24 hours per day. In Puerto Plata airport car rental companies are not open 24 hours per day. Santo Domingo airport has flights that come in at all different hours of the day and night.
For 7 days I usually pay about 200 dollars.

My personal advice is to use a national franchise.
You get better service and they can be more helpful in the event of accidents, etc.
You also have some recourse dealing with a major company if yyou
have complaints. If its a local place, you have little to deal with.
I had an accident once (motoconcho Kamikaze).
My extra insurance and credit card covered it, and it was much easier
doing the paperwork with a national franchise (Budget).
I have had good experiences with their office at the POP airport.
The rentals are not that expensive, check Yahoo Travel for prices.

What dates are you planning on going to DR, What area? La Capital? Santiago? Etc etc. Not being able to speak the language is a plus cause if you try meeting local babes they will know off the bat that you are a walking lottery ticket and very open to hanging with you. I prefer the capital as it is full of local regular babes, if you look like the elephant man it will considerably harder to get babes but not in the pay for play areas. I personally prefer regular girls being that I am better than avg looking, not Brad Pitt but easy on the eyes, I can pick them up with ease. I had alot of luck meeting girls at the very busy bus stops and acting like a lost tourist asking for dirctions when I see a cutie then offering her " Gringo Taxi " Gratis! They luv it and you'd be amazed at how they jump in the car and melt in your hands.

I am headed to Santo Domingo with a buddy from USA guide. We are traveling down 6/18 returning 6/21, Delta out of Atlanta.
This will be my first trip to DR and I am looking forward to it. I have been to CR several times and to Cali Colombia where I saw the most beautiful women. I have also spent the last few weeks RTFF so I don't have any public questions just looking forward to going.
If any of you vets will be around it would be great to meet up for beers etc. I have been around since the alt.sex newsgroups times, do that still exist?

Tomorrow I am going to be in SD, one night at Jaguar, talked to Rafael, I have stayed there before, nice small hotel. I requested Rafael to have a six pack of cold Presidentes into my room's refrigerator and he said no problem they will be cold by 1:00 pm when I arrive. Then Aloha Sol in Santiago 22 to 25, still have not decided what to do from 25 to 28, maybe 2 days in Sosua and a last night in SD or take a long trip to El Cortecito town in Bavaro. There are some relatives there, have been told is a small town with small inns, bars, restaurants a disco with a mix of locals and a beautiful beach. It is in the southern part of Punta Cana- Bavaro all inclusives. Girls can be found there, I'll tell you later if I decide to take that long trip.
I am working on the details of Aug 6-14 in Sosua.

Solo monger on my second trip to Sosua. Learned a lot first time around and ready to leverage that knowledge for more fun next month.

When I started mongering 25 years ago, I learned by getting burned. Their is a wealth of information here and the vast majority of the posts are of individuals or groups of guys hunting on their own. Stay away from touts and the like.

I've been given an opportunity, by a company interested in hiring me when I leave college, to spend up to 10 weeks in a Spanish speaking country learning to speak the language. I'm moving into petroleum production, and they have a lot of interests in South America and would like to have me understanding some Spanish when I get there.
So here's the requirements. I need to present them with a proposal as to how much a 10 week stay would cost. Of course I have secondary motives for wanting to spend an extended period in an exotic land, and so I come to you.
I need to find out why you think The DR is the place to go to spend time with the chicas. Really what I'd like is more semi or non pro action, particularly since I'll be there a while. I'd prefer to stay in a city away from the gringo occupied areas. I am supposed to be learning Spanish remember, so if everyone speaks English, I'll not make much progress. I'd also like any input you might have on how much a small house or apartment might cost for the 10 weeks.

If you are trying to do what you described, Santiago is the city for you. When I first got here my Spanish was very limited. Now, I my Spanish is much better. Not great but, really advanced for no schooling at all.
Also, Santiago is the best because there are hardly any gringos here and you still get all the comforts of a real city. Malls, movies, fast food. Pretty much anything that you could get in any other city you can get here. Some stuff is missing but they have a lot. Also, housing in Santiago is pretty cheap. You can get a really nice place for about $300 to $400 dollars per month. Just depends on what you are looking for.
I almost forgot. Yes indeed, if you are living here Santiago has some ladies. The chicas are right and ready to go. Plus, you can actually find a few girls here with jobs. (ie., the bank, medical assistants, working in the mall.) If have been on dates where the girl actually spent some of her own money. But, if you are looking for pros, they got those here also. (A large amount of the Sosua girls live here and go to Sosua on the weekends to make some tourist money.)
Like I was saying, if I had to do ten months I would do it in Santiago. I was only supposed to come to the DR for a couple of weeks and I have been here for almost 6 years. You can't pay me to go to the gringo areas because that is not the real Dominican Republic. I like to be with and amongst the real people.

Let me know how it turns out.Hotel Doņa Elvira, is on Padre Billini Street, which is a street that runs parallel to El Conde, it is two blocks south of El Conde, quiet street. I visited Hotel Doņa Elvira, quiet, rustic looking place, I guess only on the street parking if you have a car.
Hotel Santo Domingo is on Avenida Lincoln and Independencia.
Spanish classes for a job in the Oil sector. First place that comes to mind for me is Maracaibo, Venezuela (second biggest city in Venezuela). Big oil industry in Maracaibo, Venezuela and I am sure some hot chicas there.
If the guy chooses to study in Dominican Republic, I hope he chooses a school or institute that has air conditioned classrooms. 4 or 5 hours in an un-airconditioned classroom in Dom Rep, no se.

Trip number 9 in under 1 year coming up 10/3-10/11.
I just got a deal of a lifetime and I hope it's not too good to be true.
Talked to an expat women online, she is married to a local military official. They are renting out a private 1 bedroom apartment for short time for a real bargain (80 a week with air). It is just east of the zona colonial. They are just finishing renovating it now and will be sending me the exact address and pictures tonight. And more pictures when they put the new furniture in.
I go to DR about once a month and if this turns out good I will lock it up for 1 week every month going forward.
When I go down I only go to hotels with my girlfriend but I use the cabanas for the chicas. Don't like the idea of one of the chicas knowing were I stay. When I'm down there I will feel them out on the visitor situation, but she said that the apartment had a seperate entrance in the front of the house with its own parking and since it's a military officials house it is very safe.

Planning my second trip to Sasua. My god I have missed it! End of October time frame leaving Iraq taking a new gig down in Panama hopefully. Last time I was down there was Feb 08 for some friend's Superbowl party, bad broads everywhere. I'm thinking of taking my cousin with me to give him a little taste of the whole international playboy lifestyle, but don't think he's ready. My partner in crime is coming with me as always he's a true vet of the DR. Any notable broads I should know about that could make me forget that I've been in Iraq for the last 10 months.

I'll be staying at FOD next week if anybody is going to be around.
I got in touch with a woman online and am renting a small apartment for 1 week form 10-4 through 10-11 for on $80 w/air, internet, kitchen and soon cable TV. She doesn't want money up front but is asking for a $100 deposit (when I arrive) that is returnable when I leave (withouth damage to the apartment).
I've talked her a couple of times and she has sent me photos and everything looks good.
The one thing is she had me fill out a rental agreement and in the fine print it talks about ilicit activities. I am only staying at the apartment with my Novia and I always go with other chicas to cabanas, but I wonder if this is line is to discourage bringing in chicas to the apartment. I will feel her out to see if she frowns on chicas in the apartment or not. If she doesn't mind I will post her contact information on the site for other to look at.
BTW, she had 2 apartments to rent.

Arrived 6am Tuesday morning, rented a car, met some Dominican guy at the airport who was on my flight, he is a college professor in the States, I gave him a ride into the city for free.
Checked into an apartment, a friend of friend is the owner of this apartment. Very nice, views of the water and the north. Marble floors, granite counter tops, all new appliances. Three bedrooms. The bathrooms in the two bigger bedrooms have glass walls, so that you can see the shower and bath tub from the bed. I had 4 chicas visit the apartment yesterday.
I had my first presidente cerveza at Manolos restaurant at 9am yesterday. I bought a bottle of sky vodka (supposedly made in italy) at the duty free in the airport in new york, seems like a good vodka. Also bought two bottles of baileys for the chicas to drink. The chicas are definitely impressed with the apartment. The chicas who visited yesterday are chicas I met online. One 19 year old chica asked me to take a shower in front of her and she watched from the bed, afterward a little sexo oral. The other chicas who visited, I just chatted with them.
Went to coppa disco last night, stayed there till 3:30am, some cute working girls hanging around in the casino. Coppa was empty by 3:30am, so then I talked to a taxi guy named Luis (who IO know fromt trips) and he took me to a semi-private bar in zona colonial. An older Dominican lady runs the place. Some people from Spain were drinking, the guys were in tuxedos. Stayed there till 8am. The taxi guy stayed and got free drinks from me. At 8am, I gave him some money, over 20 dollars and he was complaining. I said to the Taxi driver Luis "go f_ _ ck yourself". The taxi guy drank for free for 4 hours, got over 20 dollars for a 5 minute ride and the jack ass had the nerve to complain about money. After drinking a bunch of presidente cervezas, vodka and tequila, with very little sleep, I was not in the mood for complaints from a taxi driver. The guy tried to apologize, blah blah. I walked back to the apartment using the malecon, with the morning rush hour traffic driving by.
BQ ribs and caged up, will be town, we can have a get together here, the apartment is nice, Bose stereo, flat screen televisions. Just let me know when you guys want to do it.

I am landing at SDQ Sunday 11/22, and would love to buy a round and/or visit some casas with any experienced mongers in town. Also have a reservation at BB in Costambar later in the week but not sure if I'll make the trip up there.

Santo Domingo is a little more expensive but depending on your spanish will get you farther for less money with the girls. Sosua is always the spot for me. Santiago is very nice. And about your cell phone question you asked me before, sosua has street venders that sell cheap phones.

I assume that you're flying into Santo Domingo, so spend your first three-nights (Thr, Fri, Sat) in the capital. If the weather looks good, do a 24-hr Sunday trip to Boca Chica beach. Nevertheless, unless you're in love with either Santo Domingo or Boca Chica, HEAD TO SOSUA ON MONDAY!!!!!
Do a whole week in Sosua Monday, Dec. 21 - Monday, Dec. 28. If you're bored, return to the capital, if not, spend the next week in Sosua, but look into day trips to Puerto Plata, Blackbeards, Cabarete, and Santiago.

You will be close to the chicas who work the street on Avenida Sarasota. I love the pool at the Hotel Embajador, just down the street from the BQ Hotel. Rush hour traffic on Sarasota at that location very slow. Some chicas also hang around in the plaza in front of the Hotel Embajador as well as inside the Embajador Hotel. Hotel El Embajador has an ATM machine right outside the lobby, you can just pull your car up almost to the front door, get out and use the ATM, the ATM machine is to the right of the bell hop station outside.

I'm somewhat tied to my current plans because of hotel reservations and my laziness in doing the work to change them. If I had you as my travel agents beforehand maybe I would have done it differently. As I wrote originally I will adjust when I see what's up. I did do the research on Santiago hotels (Aloha Sol is my first choice) so I'm ready to head there if I want another option.
Watch for my reports to see if I decide I made the right choice. I won't be afraid to say "you told me so" if that's the way it turns out.
It's been three years since I've been OCONUS for "play time". Something's have to give. I think it'll be me if I don't get a chance to get away.

DomRep sounds very reasonable, and Blackbeard's sounds like the best destination for a DR newbie. Right now it looks optimal to fly in Thursday, April 8th, and fly home Tuesday the 13th. Maybe I'll regret spending so little time in-country, but it appears to me that one could manage to do a wonderful lot of "relaxing" in five days at BB's. (With at least one night for "The Man Tour. ")
If anyone has experience to warn me off mid-April in PP, I'd appreciate that. Or places they'd consider "must-see" and girls they'd consider "must-do, " I'd appreciate that more. And if any "old DR hands" have an eye on PP for these dates, I would be glad to fly formation as your wingman.

Before you book your next flight to the Dominican Republic, give Haiti a try. It is much safer in Haiti as I know them both very well. Also, you will find more spinners, more gf type relations, less expensive, more passionate, hotter,what else can I say. If you come to Haiti first, you can plan your return trip from the DR at no extra cost. The guys that have done this with the intention of spending half of their time in Haiti and the other half in the DR have wound up getting to the DR just in time to catch their flights. If you want Hot Chocolate and lots of it Haiti is the place. The Haitian girls you get in the DR have been hardened by their Dominican boyfriends.
This is my offer. You come to the Creole Mansion and if you are not happy, I will pay for your ticket to the DR. Haiti is the final frontier for mongers. Do not miss out on it. Many are predicting an economical surge in Haiti after the 2011 election. There are many investors gnawing at the bit to start businesses. Well, one consequence of the Haitian Earthquake is that flight availability to POP is noticeably better now than it was 2 weeks ago for dates in late February. I was trying to get a Delta award flight for the last week in February and was out of luck a couple of weeks ago unless I spent at least 50K miles, but when I checked today, I was able to get the dates I wanted for the base 35K miles. These were also the exact flights I wanted, with a red-eye out of San Diego, and just 1 stop with reasonable layovers in Atlanta each way, which happens to be the best routing available out of San Diego to POP.
I still haven't decided where I'm staying, but I probably intend to spend 3 days at Blackbeards, and 5-6 days in Sosua, with maybe 1 day whale watching in Samana.
I gotta say - prior to the Earthquake, I was seriously considering taking BadBear2000 up on his offer to try Haiti instead. That will have to wait for next time, although I hope to do my part to improve the financial situation of several Haitianas who happen to be in the DR in late Feb.

I know the guy is her cousin, he dates her roomate, in the past we've gone out together and he's always in the next room fucking her brains out. I know the types that have a "cousin" and this guys is family.
I know some girls are in what I call "the gringo business". I just coached a friend today about his new girl. She must think all DR girls are like that (most are), because while we were out on Sunday she was bragging privately to my girlfried about how he bought her a new cell phone, clothes and gave her $200 and later my girlfriend finds her talking to her husband.

Orbitz has a coupon code for 200 buck off Hotel+Air for 6nights+. The code is 200entertain. Last year they had a 40 buck of for 4+nights and the code works. Do not add a car rental as for some reason the car rental negates the deal.
I priced this out seperately and Orbitz seems to have the best prices. Keep in mind it only includes hotels that can be booked on Orbitz. The BQ/Delta is on their list (one of my favorites and chica friendly).

I will be at FOD on Feb 12th and the 13th. And will be visiting BB for the famous bikini contest. Any veteran help would be greatly appreciated and of course Beer is on me.
I have noticed that the hotel rates in March are high since I booked my room back in Decemer. I stay at the Courtyard. Is this due to the Earthquake in Haiti and hatian families are moving into hotels in SD?
Also, are there more hatian chicas in SD to work mongers to make money, or is everything the same as usual? This will be my 8th trip to SD in the past 4 years and I always enjoy mongering.
