Hello there,

I'll be traveling to Belgrade at the end of March and staying overnight on a Friday & then again on a Sunday night. I was hoping for some suggestions:

- Any hotel suggestions? I'm arriving approx. 11 PM on Friday and if I remember correctly, most of the city center hotels are about 15 km or so from the airport. That's fine - but no further.

- Are there generally hotel bar girls in the 4-star hotels in the city, or is this type of action unavailable (i'm certain it's overpriced though)? If I wanted to arrange some activities for Friday or Sunday, am I basically relying on the contact most recently discussed on the Belgrade forum...or any other short-term options?

- Car rental...I need to get to BiH (but around Republika Srpska border...i.e. around Bijeljina). Will I encounter problems driving in from Belgrade?

- Still possible to grab some cevapi at 11:30 pm?

Hi Luke,

arriving very late to Belgrade airport will put you nearly 100% into the Taxi drivers which will cheat you up, as they did last time to me, if you ask them to open the meter it will run like hell the only chance you have is to get the bus to the city and get a cab there (you will be cheated anyway but less for sure)
I was during my differnet rips in different Hotels but except one time (I guess it was Metropol or Moscow) I did never see girls in the lobby - and the ones I see...beter nothing to be honest.
Most of the time I drove from BiH to Serbia, the last trips was very easy, the Serbians just ask if I carry a gun (probably they tought I'm a hunter) same question on the other side, so I believe you'll not have any problem, Highway all the way from Serbia to zagreb ....so Rep.Srbska incl. no highway ones you live the mentioned one.
Regarding Hotel - reasonable Price (I guess € 80 or so) Htl. HOTEL METROPOL
