You will have to wait until the following evening or else try some of the daytime venues.
My last few experiences at Kubu have been mixed.
They were anyway my only experiences in Dubai.

Hello, newish to Dubai
Had three encounters so far:

Not recommended:
RATTLESNAKE at Metropolitan Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Rd: Low quality girls from Russia, Philippines and other countries. Prices of around 800-1000 DHS/h per girl with bed. Entrance costed 50DHS and included a drink. I will NOT visit this place again.
ROCK BOTTOM CAFE at Regent Palace Hotel, Bur Dubai: No professional girls there, just american soldiers and some american women. I will not visit this place again.

It appears we were at the same place on Thursday night only you enjoyed it more than I did. It was my first time at Seaview and I was there because I have become quite keen on hot Filipinas and was hoping to get one for the night. I think I got there around 0030. Same hotel that has Rock Bottom on the ground floor.
The place you are looking for is called Rocky's Cafe or something like that and is on the mezzanine floor of the hotel.

Someone may have reported on this already but I don't remember it being mentioned. Another potential place for filipinas if thats what floats your boat.
This used to be Henry J Beans the last time I was here.. which admittedly was YEARS ago.
On Friday night there was some heavy metal thing going on with some amateur bands. We got there for the last (and perhaps worst) band... was very painful to listen to them murder Metallica and Pantera songs so I had to use copious amounts of whiskey to dull my senses.
After that was all out of the way, the filipinos took over from the metalheads and although the house band isn't great, their guitarist is something to see if you appreciate a bit of shredding as I do.
Lots of filipino couples just out for a drink.. arriving after midnight as usual... and small clusters of WG's (a couple of them pretty hot looking too. Not dressed in the usual plain jeans and simple top for a change)
Also some africans around... mostly overweight and well past their prime.
I guess there would be more on a Thursday night, especially without all the metalheads there.

Falafel was up to Dubai mid of last week and, as he sometimes does, he decided to visit an AMP or two.
He gives the one in Bur Dubai a go again – despite the frankly odd experience last time. First of all many thanks to poonhound69 for the contacts and directions. I called them up and got final directions and was really easy to find.

Yes I went to Ratsky's on Friday night. I was straight away impressed by the number and quality of girls available although there were quite a lot of guys there. After that, we headed to the bedroom and then bathroom for a wash. I was impressed by how hygienic she was. Got to bed and then we were kissing, playing and then onto some BBBJ but with a stern warning that I cannot CIM. I had to give a little bit of direction but it wasn't too bad overall. I offered a 69 and after a while she was ready to ride the joystick but I denied her and said I wanted more BJ. This is certainly very bad for us! It explains why the Mrs called from the UK to casually ask which hotel was the club that I went to. I didn't know of this report but I am glad that I told her I was too pissed to remember and just relied on the cab driver.
What worries me is that articles such as these may provoke the guys higher up to press the LE to crack down on our hobby. In particular the point they make in the article about the mongering and boozing locals including the LE.
The key point about the article that I found interesting was not the fact that locals go there but also that a bunch of high level locals go there as well. If a crack down happens there it may not be as bad as could be only because they don't want to crap where they eat (so to speak)
What worries me more than Broadway is the fact that they also mentioned the Premier at the Hyatt Regency. If they crack down there it will be a big loss. (Met my Turkish regular there) We'll just see where it all goes.

Reminds me of my early experiences with fili girls.

The one in Bur Dubai is the suckiest one IMHO.
At least it was when I was there a month ago.
Maybe it was my mood that night, but the band was really irritating.
Also, there were a couple of girls (friends of my GF) at our table that seemed to know everyone in the place and this was attracting a lot of unwanted attention.
I don't like when random strangers come up to your table and shake hands with you as if you were an old friend. Even worse when a lot of these guys looked very dodgy and decidedly unsavory.
And I felt that LE vibe a lot in there if you know what I mean.
The one in Deira is my favourite but its a bit out of the way for me so I dont go too often.

Another thing to watch out for.. If she has a full time job, it's highly unlikely that she has a "manager".
The way these managers usually operate is that they hold on to the girls passport for security until they get their payment in full. (Usually for a new girl this is anywhere between 12 to 20 K AED depending on how gullible she is)
Of course.. she may have taken a loan from her old manager. This is not uncommon. Just be careful you don't see her too often because then you will become her sole source of funding and she will guilt you into bailing her out.

Thats the trade off for the GFE thing I guess.
I suggest you cool it for a bit with any girl thats getting too clingy or dramatic.
Be nice about it but no need to make excuses. They are big girls and can handle it. Just say you feel you are becoming too close and that you are not really looking for a girlfriend. Only fun.
Also, look outside the current group for fun. If you get too caught up in a particular circle, there is a tendency to get involved in all their issues. It happens even if you try to stay out of it.
If you see a particular group too many times its normal for them or you to develop some feelings or simply become too involved. If that is not what you want, then expand your options. It makes it easier to keep things simple and, just look around you... There is PLENTY to go around.
Best to have 2 or 3 unrelated regulars if you can manage it. Ive had lots of success with waitresses, shop girls, office girls etc. And its not only the ones with problems. Even the middle class girls with reasonably good jobs and no big problems are up for a bit of fun.

You might initially bruise some egos or hurt some feelings at first, but give them some space to cool down and think and they will come back to you and tell you you were right and that you are a good friend.
Usually, your honesty will be appreciated even though by nature, filipinos do not like confrontation and in general will always try to avoid the direct approach.
Its frustrating at first, but you get used to it after a while and learn to read between the lines and understand the looks, silences moods body language etc.

Cyclone has been shut for three years now. So forget that. Though in the old days should have been your first resort - was the best in Dubai so far as I was concerned.
Seaview (Mariners Clubs at back of Hotel, Mina Road) is worth a trip. Some gems, sometimes. Mainly PRC, Fili and some CIS. Though need to get there early, about 10pm, or risk the best being snapped up. Good band.
Jules (meridien airport hotel at garhoud) also worth visiting. Again mainly PRC, CIS, fili but some Arabesque.
Just stick to your budget which should be fine for two nights and don't be dissuaded. If you can't close the deal in your budget move on to someone else. There's always another.
Agree the menu and price beforehand and don't pay up front, especially to a CIS. If girl insists up front, I always put the money on the table to show I'm good for it and say she can't have it till she leaves. Usually works. Failing that say half now half after.

I will second steamer. Give seaview ago (i was very lucky, but still waiting for confirmations from the guys i passed the number).
You can get numbers very easily saving cost (entry tickets quickly pile up).
You can also do some bargain hunting at 2:30...
I would advise you to try to meet up someone who will take you around to show you the ropes. Long time gone but never forgotten 50/50 did that for me 4 years ago as i never mongered before coming to dubai.
Just post a message 24h before you arrive asking for people to meet to see if someone is available.

Not sure if Filipinas are cheaper, but I do think you get better value for your money. That's a broad generalization though because I've had very very good times with CIS and PRC girls as well.
I lean more towards the filipinas, but even within this group I have my preferences as to what I find attractive or not.
Just personal taste I guess.
The variety is still there and the places are mostly the same. Prices are down slightly and seemingly... so is quality with the CIS gals.
Getting hard to find stunners for less than 1K now. And even then, they are few and far between. (Compared to Cyclone days :( )
My last visit to Premiere was a couple of months ago and I wasn't impressed.

Its been some time since last summer so I found an excuse to go out to the Seaview last Wednesday night.
Not that much has changed, the band are better than last year and had some wider variety of music.
The PRCs seem to have gone downhill in terms of standards. The African girls are the same as always.

Last time I received a parcel from abroad (legit) I had to go to Central Post Office in Karama to collect it.
The customs desk there make me wait then put it throught the scanner there in front of me. Then they opened it a checked the contents briefly against what was on the customs form.
Don't know if "for personal use" would cut it if they did that to your mail order gear! You could end up being the "queue of shame"!
Better to buy abroad I believe and put it in your main luggage. I've had porn, mags and DVDs in and been scanned but never stopped. Never tried it with toys yet. But I would suggest you take the batteries out first! Less likely to alert scanner operator.
You could ask Wicked Roger. He did manage to amass quite a collection in Abu Dhabi with no problems. Maybe the airport there is easier.

i would caution against using the post. one very good isg mate brought many into dubai in his cargo and has the customs document to prove (and a warning never to do it again), now he buys more 'sophisticated' toys that dont look like toys ....

Spent two nights in Dubai and concentrated my mongering at the Regal and Panorama (for the afternoons). I had two Russians, a Ukranian, and one banging Chinese chick.

I was in Dubai this week and stayed 4 nights in Royal Ascot Hotel with my friends. I want to share my experience with you.
First of all Royal Ascot is a nice hotel, clean , GF (w passport copy) and well located. You can easily walk to Astoria,York,Regal,Ramada,Broadway and Imperial.
First night we started with Astoria Hotel (~00:00). As I was not alone, one of us entered by paying the entrance fee (They asked 40 as I remember but I can be worng) and voted by his review and the girls we see around to enter and stay or leave. Astoria was not good enough to stay. The quality of girls were really low. I saw a lot of PRC inside. I havent been there before and did not get my vote also.
We left Astoria and headed to York.
We did the same plan and the result of the vote was positive. As I have been there before I voted as yes also. We payed 60 per person as entrance fee with one drink included. There were many African and PRC inside. There was a few CIS. We talked with some Africans at first. One of my friend act a little fast and agreed with an African and left the place. The deal was L/T 700. We stayed a little more and two of my friends agreed with 2 Africans also. The deal was L/T 400, also the girls told me that I can have a shot if I pay them 200 more.
The feedback from my friends was that all of them were good but start making problems after 1 shot. Africans mostly has great bodies but not positive attitude.
The result of the first night:
Astoria TGIT : One of us entered and did not like the quality and variety. There was an entrance fee, did not entered.
YORK : There was an entrance fee 60drh, mostly African and PRC, few CIS.

Second night in Dubai we went to Premiere (Hyatt Regency). The entrance fee really hurt me. They asked 150 dh per person. Last year it was 100 as I recall.
There was a lot of CIS and African inside. Also there were some PRC's.
First of all we talked with a girl from Ethiopia. She was really nice. She opened from 300 USD and the last she asked was 250 USD so we left her there. We had several walks inside and one of my friend made a quick decision and agreed with another Ethiopian for 700 L/T. Anyway he and another friend of mine left the place quickly. During our last night we went to Kubu. This time it was not so crowded. There were a lot of CIS girls there. We stayed there for a while. The price range were around 1000-1500. One of our fellow mongers reports being stopped and questioned by a man in a kandoorah next to the new alquoz AMP location.
He was stopped and asked what he was doing in this neighborhood, why he parked in fromt of the mans house, and so on. After being intimidated for a while he was allowed to leave.
It has freaked him out and he is lying low for a while.

i would caution against using the post. one very good isg mate brought many into dubai in his cargo and has the customs document to prove (and a warning never to do it again), now he buys more 'sophisticated' toys that dont look like toys ....

My intention is to visit York in the evening for a Chinese take away, last time I was there it was my type of scene. Might be an obvious suggestion... but have you tried Rockafellas at Regal hotel in Bur Dubai?
This is diagonally opposite the York.
All CIS and you can usually find some lookers there. Haven't been in a while so not sure if they still have the same quality as before.
I've pulled from there a few times and except for one girl who got too drunk and threw up in the taxi, I've had pretty good experiences.
I think its still possible to get a decent LT deal for 1K or less with a bit of charm.

The Shooter essayed this legit establishment today. Located in a remote part of Deira, it is nevertheless easy to find (just around the corner from Ramada Continental).

I had a break in Dubai last week, and the first night stayed at the Karama Hotel and went for a drink at Ratskys. So went to the one in first floor.

The last week of January I headed to Dubai for what was mainly a work-related trip, work meaning 7 of my 9 nights were near-allnighters related to work and report-writing. Luckily, I escaped to enjoy some Deira-based pleasure for a change, after years of sticking to the Bur Dubai side of town.
I stayed at the Rihab Rotana, which is a suite-only place two blocks from Deira City Centre. Although the main view from my room was of the freeway under construction in front. It is a very nice hotel. And GF, although as a rule the minibars don't have booze in them.
Tuesday night was Jules Bar night. Located at the high-end restaurant cluster called Meridian Village, Jules girls tend to be much more nicely dressed than at the clubs on the Bur Dubai side. The band is no Seaview band, but they had one tiny Fili girl singer whose dress barely covered her butt. Yeah! Generally nice attitudes, though the Kazakh girls, pretty as they were, seemed somewhat standoffish. But before 1230 it was jammed with punters and it as hard to move. After 1 though, it was almost 2:1 girls to guys. well. it depends on what timing you are trying to catch. i have picked an Armanian (she was calling herself from turkey, but the passport copy was Aramanian) for 850 dhirams at 12:30 on Tuesday night. she left at 7:00 in the morning. Business is really down on weekdays for them.

Had a brief trip to Dubai a couple of weeks ago, quick update on proceedings;
My first trip to the Premiere, and it lives upto all the reports. A good selection of girls, however the prices quoted are ridiculous. Was back in Dubai after 2 months. Had just one night to have fun, so thot will try out panorma in bur Dubai as I had tried all the other famous like york etc.

Phone-calls: If you need to make a lot of calls, it would be good to get a SIM-card from Etisalat, it is usually activated within 2. 3 hours. You can buy air-time in increments of 50, 100 DHs. You can buy the SIM-cards in any of the many small Indian super-markets.
A good place to go shopping is the City-Center, it is a real big mall with everything you desire inclusive a large restaurant-area.
As noted and reported before, things got really quite in Dubai, a lot of the girls have left for greener pastures. Where are all the girls from Eritrea, Kenia etc? Gone. A lot of Expats have left Dubai, the girls lost their jobs and their visas and had to leave as they did not find new employments.
In a certain way Dubai is back to normal as it was before the boom. I like it this way much better. But these are my personal 2 FILS.
