Will be going to Moscow in late January. I was wondering if the Rossiya and Belgrad hotels still had in-house girls that called and came up to the rooms? What are the prices like now? Are there any decent ones? Do the bars in the hotels still have working women in them?
I tried calling up a couple of the brothels, Katenka and Nightcat, but the women answering spoke russian only. Will this be hard to get in? How does a person make the call to get in?

About communicating with salons in Moscow and elsewhere in Russia: please read the earlier messages, virtually no one in those places reads English.
About racism in Moscow: please read the earlier messages, we get this thread going about every 6 months. Sometimes it deteriorates into general whining about racism in general. Unless you have specific issues or are planning to go to Moscow in the near term, this thread needs to go elsewhere.
To Anyone who can help:
Will be visiting Moscow and St. Pete in early April. Is there such a thing as a red light district in either city? If so, what are the locations?
If not, are there less expensive places than what is being discussed on this board? Somewhere in the neighborhood of $50 to $60 for a good solid hour or two.

Street Girl Prices? I dunno, are they?
Just looking for a little info on the area. It will be my first time Russia. I Have been frequenting Amsterdam and Thailand, so I am used the prices there. But, there has to be something worth while in that price neighborhood. A little gem tucked away somewhere that everyone has been to but forgets to mention. You know the type of place. Give it up gents.
Can anybody tell what areas are close to some action? Is it concentrated or is it all spread out? Any info would be appreciated.
Also, any web sites with info on this sort of thing (in English) would be appreciated as well.

Street Girls in Moscow??? Forget it. There are some, only available if you have a car and a place to take them.
There are so many other venues for girls that the streets just aren't really used for that purpose, only in rare cases.

based on my experience and reading the site here, it is getting harder and harder to find anything decent for 50 bucks. if you aren't into trying for freebies, which are possible with some effort and luck, you maybe could try the internet sites like <http://love.mail.ru/category/1500.html> or the higher scale www.dosug.nu
this might be the best bet for cheaper action, there you can at least get the mobile numbers of some working girls there, but will need some place to take them.
if you'd rather go to a bar to check out the selection, which is more fun for me anyway, the pick up bars in st.pete are marstalls and tribunal. in moscow there are several, check out the www.exile.ru site. they have a bar and club guide with very useful info, including some price indications...reading between the lines. you might be able to get a girl for $50 in low-season in st.pete at one of the pick up bars there, in moscow it will be much tougher. seems to me that prices are about $80 and up in moscow for this kind of bar girl...quality ranging from very average to very good. really hot babes will want at least $100 and probably considerably more, especially if there are a lot of other johns mongering. but still, it is all possible on a budget with patience, luck and some bargaining skill. i usually pay from $70-100, but have paid as much as $150 in moscow. you can obviously pay a lot more too, of course. i've never paid less than $50 in either city...and didn't feel like trying either.
you should read through old posts too, most of the info is still pretty current and it'll give you a better idea of where to go. seems to me that in moscow there is no central place really, as the scene is rep001tered at various clubs, bars and discos and the increasingly popular sauna clubs and the like...besides the above-mentioned outcall services.
in st.pete i'd just try marstalls or tribunal for starters. it is really easy access and unintimidating for the first time russia visitor with little or no russian language skills. in moscow doug and marty's boar house serves the same purpose. maybe won't be as cheap as other options, but shouldn't cost more than $100 either. some girls to look at, some like minded expats will be there too. after an initial round of fun here, you could try something more adventurous like outcall or a sauna/massage place which could be cheaper too.
First... for those of you looking for SW action Moscow has been down to 22 below zero and even if you can find one it is almost 100% sure she will not speak any language besides russian.
Second... In the Rossiya hotel there are actually 4 separate hotels in the same building. At 10pm I asked in the billiard room about a "massage" in the hotel health club and had a girl come and knock on my hotel room door, 20 minutes later. For $100 for 2 hours with a (7 out of 10) 35y/o Ukranian woman gave me a good massage and FS. She was really surprised when I wanted to DATY and came woman juice all over my face like a waterfall.
The best place to find one of the Rossiya hotel girls is to go to the hooker bar on the second floor of the side of the hotel closest to the Kremlin (by the giant video camera). You can drink with and talk to the girls and most spoke some english. Just don't let them go crazy with their drinks ( one girl ordered $30 worth of Bailey's!)
For those of you into a show and a taste before you buy the act I HIGHLY recommend going to Safari bar/ strip club where you can get a full song lap dance for 100rb ($3!). I almost got a private 1 hour lesbian show with me VERY close to the action for $100.
Thirdly... I am a 32 y/o 250lb 5'10" hispanic guy and was picked up 3 times by women in two weeks. It seems Russian women are interested in foreign men. The only problem I had was when 2 policemen searched my pockets and stole $300 from me. (Be careful in SPG with the bridges trapping you from 1-6 am!)
Finally... If you pick up a non hotel based pro and had a good time with her you can usually get her for the whole night on another occasion for a lot less. (For example, $100 for the whole night on Monday and $50 for a the whole night on wednesday)
Does anybody know any of any brothels, girls with apartments, or action etc... near the Kazanasky railway station. Will have a few hours to kill after I get my ticket and was wanting to pass it away with a smile on my face rather than a frown!

I did have another question. I read somewhere that the cities in the Golden Ring are great places to get very inexpensive quality woman. Does anyone have any info on that aspect? Where to go (in detail), how to handle the situation? Any english involved? etc. etc.

Just another note, as also related by across69, the police (militia) in Moscow and St.Pete have increasingly been stopping tourists and businessmen and asking to see their passport and registration. This is especially common on Nevsky Prospekt in St.Pete, the main thoroughfare, and around the Kremlin and Red Square in Moscow. So wherever you are staying, make sure they register your visa. They usually do this automatically when you arrive, but make sure they do it. And carry it with your passport.
If you don't and get stopped, the police will give you a hassle about the registration in an effort to receive a bribe from you. I once got stopped at 3 am on a street by a cop and had to give him 300 rubles (I didn't give him my wallet) to have him let me go. The "real" fine is supposedly only 50 rubles, but I paid 300 just to avoid trouble at the station. I was wasted and had to get some sleep since I had to work the next day, so his threat of "taking me to the station and waiting until morning to call the embassy", whether real or not, was not worth my trouble and I gave him the $10. Others have had it worse...knew one guy who forked over $100 and have heard of several cases where the cops "inspected" the wallet and lightened it up a bit, as in across69's case. In a famous case, 3 Swedish diplomats in St.Pete got outright robbed by 3 cops and lost $6000.
Also not a good idea to walk long distances at 3am half-drunk, as I learned. :) Take a taxi, they don't cost much.
Shouldn't make you paranoid, as nothing really bad ever happened to me (knock on wood), but keep it in mind. The cops aren't always there to "protect and serve".
I have acouple of question for the mongers here.
1) I was in Russia about 8 months ago and the girl that came from the agency was a real sweet heart but all night she asked about going to america. Was she for real or was it a joke?
2)How difficult is it for a american to open a bussiness in Russia?

Actually, these topics are all covered here already, but I don't mind writing them again.
1) Stayed at Marriott Tverskaya and took a girl back no problem about 3 years ago. She had to register at the desk. Didn't have to bribe anyone. Didn't cost extra. Don't know current policy, but it seems to me reading through the posts that this is OK, especially if she looks presentable, which a Night Flight girl will. That was my experience anyway.
2) Night Flight isn't suit and tie really... although there are a lot of people dressed in "full battle gear" there. I've worn cordouroy jeans and a loose shirt there and didn't have a problem. Really don't know on the jeans aspect...but can't really imagine them turning down a paying customer...but do go somewhat nicely dressed at least... this is true for everywhere in Moscow. They are really fashion/status conscious, especially in clubs and restaurants.
3)...and in Night Flight you will pay. Entrance expensive ( like $20), drinks expensive (like $5 for beer) and girls expensive (supposed absolute minimum of $200 but realistic $250-300) I was in there only once just to see what everbody was talking about...was interesting. Lots of babes, but somewhat crowded. Asking price was $300... way more than I'll ever pay... and as soon as the girls figured this out they dropped me like a hot potato. The girls are on a mission! Seems to me there are a lot better deals to be had, but if money is no problem, then you will get quality, at least superficially, there.
In any case, I suggest reading through the last few weeks of posts, lots of good info on other options. Definitely hit a strip club too... the sheer quality of women will blow your mind.

Girls will take dollars (and/or usually rubles as well...they usually don't care) and everywhere else pretty much only takes rubles...its actually a law intended to stabilize the currency. Its no problem to exchange your money (or Euro for that matter) anywhere on the main streets, especially Tverskaya, where there are exchange offices.

P.S. When I was last in Moscow over New Year, the Euro was actually worth more than the dollar, reflecting the international exchange rates. So if you have Euros, it will not make sense to change them to dollars and then into rubles.
I will be in Moscow in February, staying in the Hotel Ukrania. Does anybody know of any action nearby the hotel, or has anybody sampled any working girls in the hotel (I assume that there are some in the hotel).

hey Doc - you forget that it isn't really necessary to change money if you have an ATM card since the machines dispense Rub's. I've found that it's easier to do day-to-day in Rub's and leave the "excess transactions" to $$$ (32 more or less:1 makes for a pretty good sized pile, usually even when dealing in 1000's) My ATM will let me get some 15000 or so per day.

You're right...and ATMs give a good rate as well. But they aren't always conveniently located, so I do like to have some cash with me... ruble cash. So I usually exchange some money right after arrival.

Did you book a double room a single room at Hansa?
You recommended Iceberg as a nightclub option in Samara. Do you think a relatively goodlooking and young guy with beginner's level Russian can manage to pick-up a regular girl without running into trouble? Is this a classy place? Is it close to Hansa?
Recommendation/ opinions on the nightclub etiquette in provincial Russia is very much appreciated. Thanks!

I was at the Hotel Ukraine in October. There are a few working girls downstairs in the main lobby around 8 pm. 1 or 2 of them were attractive. They are short time and ask about $100US.
I recommend you go to Doug's Boar House and take your pick of about 30 good looking girls for about $50-100. They are mostly young college age girls. You can take them into the hotel Ukraine without problems if you hold their arm and walk past security. If they stop you you can register the girl at the front desk. You can take the metro for next to nothing, or a taxi if it is cold and the Boar's House is about 30 minutes. I think it was called Chesterfields at one time.

well, doc, next time you fly in to SVO, go down to the first level and pretty much right outside the money exchange you will find an ATM (box type - but spits out Rub's just fine). makes a good starting point (and since I'm so cheap, I go for the microbus to Rechnoy Voksal and the Metro from there. I sort of remember it dispensing 100 and 500 bills.

When I am on a budget I take the microbus to the nearest metro station on the green line as well...think the bus only costs about 15 rubles or so... so little that I forgot the price. It is also kind of an interesting trip...getting up close and personal with "the people". If I've got lots of luggage on business I'll order a hotel car or one from the apartment agency if I'm staying with them. Usually about $30, but still much cheaper than the taxi mafia prices.

I discovered a man and wife, Kirill and Natasha, in Moscow that have 15 apartments that they rent out. They've been in business 8 or 9 years. I've used them on three occasions in two different apartments. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.

They speak English and have never let me down.
I am getting nothing for this recomendation, but I posting this because they are so good and reasonably priced.
If you want to tell them that you were referred by california traveler or Jackson, you can... or not... it doesn't matter to me. HOWEVER, PLEASE DO NOT REFER TO OUR HOBBY because they do not know anything about the activities with the local talent.

They have a number of apartments in all price ranges and are constantly adding more. You get discounts for longer term rentals and in the winter prices will often be discounted from those listed on the website.
They can also help with visa support, airport transfers, tickets, etc...... and their website lists lots of useful information (non-hobby related) for those traveling to Russia.
I'm a frequent traveler to Russia and have used their services many times without any problems.

I am aware of them and bu I am not sure if they are dependable, because another guy told me he had a bad experience with them. First he had to stay in a different apartment than what he has booked. Second on his last day the driver who is supposed to take him to Sheremet'evo never showed up. That sucks!

"Introductions" in Moscow Times?
I just came back from Moscow. I travel with coworkers, so I can't visit one of the night spots for ladies because we all stay in the same hotel. I used to visit the incall at the Orlyonok (sp) hotel/casino -- same place as the 911 club. Apparently, it is closed, because I went there and they weren't on the 18th floor as they used to be.
In the Moscow Times, I saw all sorts of ads for "introductions." I assume that these are the arparment operations. Has anyone had experience with the "introductions" services? I'd be interested in rates, quality, safety, etc, and the protocol for visiting these establishments.

I booked a single at Hansa ... in fact, it was the last and only room they had that night. There were zero problems (in part, thanks to my Russian escort) with bringing the girls to my room. I have no idea if they are normally so acomodating or if the ID of my escort made them so. I really do not expect you to run into too much trouble with this anyways. Worse case -- slip a $20 to the doorman and you will be fine.
Iceberg is not too far, but I really encourage you to rent a car for ALL of your late night outings. A lonely foreigner in the middle of Samara at night is a bit too tempting. In fact, if you are going to Samara alone and you have no friends there and you don't speak Russian vry well, I would discourage you from going there. There are a million other places that have what Samara has, maybe on a smaller scale, but still pretty safe. If you are going there with a Russian-speakign friend or even with somebody else, you will be ok, but going there alone may be a bit too risky.
If you are alone out there in Iceberg, trying to pick up a girl, you may get into some trouble. Russians respect force, so here is the etiquette: bring a friend or five; approach ONLY girls who are alone; politely ask them if they would join you at your table; buy them a drink (they are ludicrously cheap in Samara); ask them if they would be so kind as to show you around the city; ask them out for lunch tomorrow; ask them to go up to your room TONIGHT. This is exactly what I did and it worked like a charm. But there is a caveat in my case -- I am 6'1", 220 and I have a "don't fu*k with me" sticker on my forehead; I was with 3 large Russian guys, one of whom is a known police official; we were very well-behaved. Oh, and we speak fluent Russian of course, so we were able to resolve a couple of potential problems by just talking (e.g. when we were leaving with some girls, a group of drunk guys who were loitering outside the club approached us and asked us where were we taking the girls. We said that we running them home and offered to give the guys a ride as well, knowing full well that they would never go with us ... they laughed and left us alone). The best combination in Russia -- speak softly, but carry a huge-@ss stick in plain sight. Be polite, but let them know that you and your friends can and will unleash hell on them if they cross a certain line, which you should clearly draw in the sand. But do NOT challenge them by your words and/or demeanor -- there is nothing braver a drunken Russian guy. Sorry for spending so much time on extraneous issues, but your safety is the only concern I have -- getting laid in Samara and/or just haing a good time is as natural as breathing. Please do NOT take any unnessesary chances.

You said there are many places in Russia which would offer what Samara has with less risk. To me Samara seemed alright as it is a relatively large city, but apparently it is not. Can you recommend some safer but provincial cities in Russia apppropriate for our hobby?
Hiring a driver is a good idea. The question is how am I gonna find a dependable driver? A driver might get tempted to take advantage of a lonely foreigner...

Concerning Samara, I walked around in the dark by myself, speak only poor Russian, and ended up being escorted back to my hotel room by a 20 yr old blonde Russian girl, who only wanted 200 rubles for taxi fare in the AM.

Sheraton has local girls and security. I was there last summer. They charge girls to hang out in bar so they block other girls from coming in.

Security WILL give you hassles.
As far as the rest, Rossia is very average in just about everything. Location is OK, the rooms in the renovated portion are basic but clean.
Main problem with Rossia is really the security. The girls, if allowed up at all, will have to register. Besides that, the front registration desk is always crowded and really a free for all...you have to be resilient and even somewhat brash to get ahead there...typical Russia in that way.

The Sheraton lobby girls have the market on in-house prostitution, but you can still bring other girls in. You may have to pay a bribe. It will depend on a few factors, like time of day, who is working security, their mood, your appearance and attitude, her appearance.... in any case, the NF girl will know how to get into your hotel... and know about what has to be paid etc. After all, most NF customers are western businessmen taking girls back to upscale hotels.
Generally speaking, lobby girls aren't recommended, based on attitude and price, but I have no personal experience in this regard. Check other posts. There is a good recent post about this in the St.Petersburg section, which also holds true for Moscow. If you are looking at Night Flight though, then price isn't an issue. The lobby girls will probably also be in the $300 range, may offer less time and/or service than the NF girls.

Bringing people to your room at Rossia, especially a guy bringing a girl, is a problem any time of the day. But she can be registered as a guest and come up during the day or early evening. I don't think this costs anything, it is just a hassle and "normal" girls generally hate it, since it makes them feel like prostitutes. I tried to smuggle my real girlfriend by once, no chance. And that was at like 3 in the afternoon. Nobody in Marriott or Sheraton would have looked twice. But Rossia is really strict on this.
Late at night you'll either have to pay for double occupancy (she'll have to register at the desk) or have to bribe somebody. Smuggling someone in is impossible, as all elevators are in one spot, right next to the front desk and there are at least two security guys standing there checking people. I've never bribed anybody at Rossia. So I don't know if this is common there or what it costs. Sorry! Chances are your "date", if she is a working girl, will know the procedure and what to do/whom to pay.

To avoid these very complications and hassles I've started staying in private apartments. They are just as cheap as the Russian hotels, better equipped, the agency can handle the visa invites and so on if you need that, they'll pick you up at the airport for $30 and you have complete freedom to bring girls back to your room. The agencies know that people do this, they just don't want to confronted with it.
If you prefer a cheap hotel like Rossia, there are also the working girls who hang out in the bars within the hotel. They run about $100 and are average in quality. They didn't look like much to me. I generally don't pay for girls I wouldn't even pick up drunk in a bar in "real" life... so I wasn't too smitten with the selection at Rossia. But occasionally I'll come across a good review in this forum.

May be you can recoment some good Bars where is "easy" to pick up a Girl whit out to spend many on her. How are the rouls for that? I guess is dipense on you look and on you age too. **Question to all you Moscow Veterans***
I was wondering if there is an area in Moscow that would be best on all fronts for the first timer? I would like to be close to the sites and the woman, without hassel or spending a huge sum of money or time getting from one place to another. Maybe something like the Moscow version of a Bangkok Soi Cowboy? Or a Amsterdam Red Light Area? Will be in Moscow April 2 through April 11 with a stop in St. Pete for a couple of days in that time. Also, anyone know of any good tattoo places in the area also.

I originaly was staying at Mezhdonarodyana but I have some other people from work who we cannt afford to put there as its 220Us$ / Night and we all have to stay in the same hotel due to meetings , thus I have to make the sacrifice and stay in budget hotel with them . Its surely disappointing about the security problems at Rossia , however I have an idea that In case of a problem I will book a room for my female friends there and they can check in like a guest , its not expensive because I can get them a room in old wing for less then 60 $ and they can then come to my room in the New Wing.I don't mind spending few bucks extra but don't want hassles for the gals or myself. because as I said they are not pros but friends with whom I do share intimate relationship :D

Body Rocker: If you're resilient, you'll be able to get your friend to your room. Worst case would be getting a room. Try just normal registration at the desk though. Especially if she is going to be coming to your room on more than one occasion. After you come back, I'd be interested to read your findings. I'm sure it would be interesting for others as well, since this situation comes up a lot. In any case, good luck! Sounds like you've got yourself set up pretty well with your "friends!"

I meant that I wasn't interested in the Rossia bar girls since they were less attractive than girls I WOULD NOT take in real life, even if I was drunk. But to your point, I actually do usually prefer to try to pick up girls in bars, clubs or otherwise. This is more fun for me... if I can't find something there is still the option of a pro/semi-pro girl. I like picking up normal girls since the sex is "real" and actually the real girls I've had were usually better looking than most of the pros I've had. For first time travellers to Moscow, I think it would be best to have a prostitute on the first night and then try to pick up something on your own on the second night, if you are interested in that.
IMHO the strategies are basically the same as anywhere else, only you will be hampered by the language but will have the advantage of being a foreigner. Picking up girls, drunk or otherwise, in Russia isn't "automatic", but many find it easier than in other places. The most important thing is to get initial contact and get into a conversation...even if just very basic. Once you have her hooked, just reel her in. Your success will of course depend on a lot of things, but I do suggest the following:
a) don't be shy. Waiting around to be "discovered" won't work. You'll have to approach them. Make sure that you don't approach somebody's girlfriend. But this is the same everywhere around the world.
b) always say that you come to Moscow quite often...she'll be more interested in someone she thinks she'll see more than once. She is of course thinking of what advantages a Western boyfriend would have for her. You just want a piece of ass, so tell her whatever she wants to hear.
c) try to go "hunting" with a friend. Being alone surrounded by groups of Russians speaking Russian can be depressing and contact difficult. And you'll look too predatory/desperate for some girls, reducing your chances. If you have someone else to talk to, it will make you feel more comfortable and the hunting will be more fun. Sounds strange, but sometimes I've gotten into conversations with normal Russian men and this made it much easier to pick up girls in the same bar. Russian guys are fun to be with and are proud of the beauty of their women. In my experience Russian guys are not at all angry if you are interested in their women...just as long as it isn't their girlfriend you are after.
d) try to speak at least some Russian...after she hears you making mistakes she'll be more likely to try out her English.
e) don't get too drunk. A drink or two will make it easier for you to seek contact, but being really drunk will ruin your chances entirely.
f) if you meet a girl and hit it off and she doesn't want to spend the night on the first night, make a date for the second night. If she agrees, and she almost always will, you'll be able to screw her the second night...100%.
g) if you don't have success on a particular night, don't feel bad. Go pick up a pro or try again on the next night.
h) one of the easiest contacts is through work. I've met a lot of girls through work contacts and although I've made a point to be very careful not to mess up my business, I've slept with several girls this way...from common secretaries and translators to managers. Some people make it a rule NOT to mix business with pleasure, but I like playing with fire...
One note, the normal girls I've met, for the most part, were far from normal... they are the best girls (and women) I've ever met. They really exceeded my expectations. They are sexually adventurous and passionate, intelligent and sensual. And they love sex. I have had more fun with normal girls than with pros. But there is a good reason to choose pros... as they say "you are not paying them for the sex, you are paying them to go away afterwards"...in other words, no hassle, no broken hearts and no worries.

I've noticed everyone here appear to avoid the "street" girls in Moscow. I think you are making a mistake, given a few simple rules to help you find the best selection.
First, the further out you go the newer or fresher girls you will find. Himkee is now the largest and probably best selection (on Leningradsky shosse heading to the airport Sheremetyevo). Girls who come to Moscow are started out there -- as it is just beyond the city limits they can work without a moscow registration, and it takes a week or two for them to get those papers that will allow them to move around the city a little more safely.
If you are willing to take your time and look you can find girls who have just started working without any problem. First, simply ask the "mamachka" for a girl who has not worked long (ne davno rabotat) and she will often point out the new ones. Also, as the girls line up in your headlights (often 10-30 at a time) look carefully and you can pick out the ones that just don't belong or fit in. Often, they are a little more nervous than the others - and who wouldn't be!
You might say, but they can lie to you about it.. but once you have a fresh girl in your room it is easy to tell them apart, and when you do find a new girl she is more likely to spend the week with you if you ask. Also, girls are the best source of information on anything else you are looking for, and will often call up their "girlfriends" to help you out.
So don't miss out on an amazing opportunity. These girls are fresh from Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbek and Kazak, plus other provinces of Russia, and are worth the $70 or $150 you will pay. There are always a few 8's and 9's if you are willing to drive around for an hour or so.
And remember, to fully enjoy you have to go with the culture. They expect a firm man, domineering. Hedonist, I've never taken a cab to a line-up... usually just walked in from a club and tell the main mama how much you want to spend. She'll holler out for the girls to line-up. There are usually two or three levels, most recently... $70, $100 and, maybe, $150.
After picking a girl, you can cruise out and get a car to your apt/hotel.
When I was last in Moscow, in Jan/early Feb. the line-ups were only running on Fri and Sat. However, I understand that they are back running 6/7 nights.
However, they are getting some pressure from the local militia because of the uncoming Duma election AND a law that is pending in the Duma to outlaw prostitution inside Moscow(and maybe Russia). Good luck!

MG, I don't know how I missed your post earlier, but you give excellent advice about the lineup girls. My experience is exactly the same as yours and I have definitely experienced some of my best sex ever from the "fresh" lineup girls. I also find that a substantial number of the girls only work a few nights a month to supplement their income. Plus, as you say, any of the girls that you click with will be anxious to stay for as many nights as you want them, simply because they never know who's going to take them home and beat the crap out of them just to show who's "boss".
According to some of the girls, they typically only only get 40-50% of the total charge. So a $70 girl may only get $35 tops! In fact, I've found that some of the newer girls tend to start at the lower price category for some reason. I stayed with an 18 y.o. for about a week in November... she was a real beauty, but I couldn't figure out why she'd choose the lineup instead of NF or CF where she could keep the whole fee? I think the real reason is that they don't feel comfortable with their English or _______ to focus on foreigners! In fact, combined with their level of comfort as you mentioned, many of the newer girls even at CF or NF can be identified because they don't have the English phrases down pat and are embarassed at their level of English!

Ok I am back from Moscow and here is the update.
Hotel Rossiya : Doctor Skank , you were right its impossible to get pass the security and take the girls up to your room. The security is everywhere and even the hotel guest have to show them the registration card to get up to the elevator. I had some problems with my payment as we somehow landed up paying much extra at Rossiya hotel so two ladies from my travel agent in Moscow came up to hotel Russiya with me sort it out and we wanted to visit the In Tourist office on the first floor , but the security at the elevator stopped and even when the ladies offered to keep their passport with them till they came back , they were not allowed . regarding registration at the desk , as rightly pointed out earlier in the forum the hotel reception desk is always full with people and thus I couldn't try to check with them.
Hotel Russiya has its own girls and one can call up the Guest Relation desk and ask for the Massage in the room. Don't try the Sauna at the hotel as there you will only get the Veg massage. The lady at the guest relation took my room number and later I got a call from another girl to negotiate the rates . she asked for 100 $ for an hour . I insisted for 2 hours and she finaly agreed. 10 Mints later 2 girls came to my room. One from Bellarus (7) and one from Moscow (6) I picked one but they offered for both and asked for 200 $ , finaly we agreed for 150 $ for both for Hour and half. When in bed they first licked me all over and then played withmy dick and then BJ (covered) Did the first one Doggy and after few minutes they pulled me out .. changed the rubber and the second one took the position. Anyway sex was good and I came two times during hour and half .. so it was good value for money as in between I got nice body massage from them.

They have Shows with some good looking girls and they have around 15 pros hainging out there. The quality of girls there was very good. Most of them 7-8 and some even 9 except a few 5-6. Its easy to speak to them and they will sit with you and chat over a drink. The prices however they ask is 300$ which I found very high . I maximum I could bring them down was 200$ and that was around 1 am .I felt that was not the right price and more than the going rates in Moscow so I didn't pick. Also I noticed that just one or two guys finaly took the girls from the club to their rooms as most of them after chating and drinking split , guess it was because of the high prices. Also The massage at the health club of Radisson is veg so avoid it unless you realy are interested in a body massage.
Another good option is to look at Moscow Times and see under "Introduction" All adverts there are for Sex. Avoid a lady called TAMARA , she is not hot and also not that young, though she comes cheaper 70-80 $ for one hour may be even 60$ if negotiated properly. The other one I tried from Moscow times was 100$ for an hour and was good , name was Olga, she told me she dosen't advertise regularly( The advert from TAMARA is there everyday), she was around 23-25 and a 7. Good BJ Skills and dosent hurry .
For the first time visitors to Moscow , it not a easy place . The Immigration / Customs is unlike Europe. You have to always carry your passport (original) when in Moscow together with the Hotel registration paper (the hotel puts the seal on the back of your immigration card which you retain after entering Moscow) Also please take care that you don't loose the Customs Decleration form which you fill at Arrival and declare the amount of currency what you bring in to Moscow. Pls keep that safe as you will have to hand it back on Departure together with one more custom decleration form which you fill at the departure.
I also would recomend using the VIP channel. its legal as you get the receipt . Ask you travel agent that you need the VIP channel on arrival and departure , it cost 65$ per person each way , but it saves lot of hassels. There is a seperate VIP area with seperate Custom / Check in / Immigration desk and once you have done the Customs and the check in ( in Moscow first one has to clear the customs and then the checkin ) the immigration desk will take your passports and bording passes and you can wait in hall or go upstairs in the lounge where they also serve drinks etc. Before the departure of the fight they will announce ( I only heard them announcing in Russian in the lounge so its better you keep asking them if its your flight) Once your flight is ready one of the staff members with VIP sign would hand back your passport with exit stamps already on them and then escort you to the security gate . If there is a long que , they will make sure they stop everyone else and let you go first through the security . I think it makes life easy as while comming in Moscow I was unware of this system and I did had some problems with the customs , but while going back I took this VIP channel and it was smooth.
I will probably go back in September to Moscow and I would love to hear from other hunters more on the scene at Radisson.

Forgot to mention that in Radisson there is no problem to get guest to your room , the procedure is that you have to get the registration for the guest ,specialy if its night and they say its for the security of guest ,and it takes only a minute to register. In the day time I could take my friend up without any registration , they normaly don't bother in the day.

BR4U... nice report. I've never stayed or visited the Radisson, but the Marriotts and Renaissance are cool with girls in the room. You don't even have to register them, but you have to walk them down afterwards so the security knows that you're not face down in a puddle of blood upstairs. The Sheraton is OK with girls but you have to register them. The registration is not hard, BUT it can be a problem if the girl doesn't have her papers.
Because of this, I now only rent an apartment when I travel to Moscow or Spb.
From a price standpoint, the Radisson bar seems very high end... for these prices you could have had the pick of the litter at Nightflight and maybe even Metalitsa. Or, maybe two "beauties" from Chesterfields. It sounds to me like that bar is taking advantage of the businessmen in the hotel that don't feel like going out on the town or perhaps intimidated to go out.
You give good solid advice though about declaring your cash going into Russia AND carrying your passport/visa/new immigration card with you at all times! The militia are very active in Moscow and you can be assured that if you are with a girl... you will probably be stopped because they know that it is likely that the girl's papers are not current. If so, you will have a choice of paying a "fine" on the spot or losing your girl for several hours or more.

There are an infinite number of saunas in Moscow. Plan to spend an average of $50 per hour for the sauna, and $50+ per hour for the girl.

dogbro... All Russian hotels present a problem with girls in the room unless you bribe the security or maybe register them. The Western hotels are pretty cool about girls and very expensive. I have personal experience with the Sheraton, the Marriotts and the Renaissance. The Marriotts and Renaissance have no problem taking girls up, but you have to excort them down. The Sheraton has no problem, but you have to register them which could be a problem with some girls w/o papers. I've been told that the new Hyatt is also like the Marriotts.
Unless you have to stay at the Metropol, I strongly suggest an apartment. They're a lot cheaper than a hotel and you have your privacy. If you're interested, you can email me and I'll give you a contact that I use when I visit Moscow. He has 15 apartments so you should not have a problem.

Thanks for a great report! I've done the Night Flight scene before and have had no problem taking girls back to a Marriott. My first experience there was when THREE girls (7-8's) picked me up and took me back to their place. I paid $300 for all three of them for all night. They wore me out. There were condoms and body parts flying around all over the place!
My main difficulty is that I usually travel with a large group, so I really need to be discrete. For a while, I would visit an incall location that was on the 18th floor of the Orylonosk (sp?) hotel/casino. This is the same hotel where the 911 Club is located. If I've ATM'd money I've not spent, I always pay down the hotel bill at checkout to make sure I leave with less than I brought in. It's a small inconvenience at the airport, but definitely worth it!

Good that you avoided the one I didn't recommend from Introductions (Moscow Times) it's not worth. I would recommend Olga but then Olga is a common Russian name so I am not sure if you get the right Olga :) U gotta take your chance, unfortunately I don't have her number.Re Incalls , some from Introductions (Moscow Times ) do offer both In and Out Calls and I think most of them can speak English.

I'm conversational Russian, and what I can piece together is pieces... and like Russia, there are so many variables.. but anyways, some of girls on lineup don't do anything else because they don't have the connections, or they don't know how. Anyway, it just taught me that many of the girls are flying blind and don't know the system as well as one might think.
I talked to one "mamachka" one night, when I had to wait for some other bastards to pick their girls, and she said she had more girls than she could deal with. When I picked a girl out of the line up the mamachka had no idea what her name was, or anything about her. I was told she was fresh, and just looking in her eyes and seeing how nervous she was.. anyway it was obvious. This girl gave me alot of fun, so I was gentle and sweet with her... she couldn't meet me the next night so her friend came instead. At the Radisson, if your girl doesn't have a passport, it still is no problem... just tell security you want to sign for her. He will ask her name, your name, room number and you sign. You are taking responsibility for her, so you can't tell them she stole your wallet later, but you can take her up and bang away.
I get alot of Ukrainians and Belarussian girls from line ups who have no passports, but it is no problem to enjoy.
I double agree on the price of the girls at the radisson... why waste the money when the same quality is available, but you have to learn how to seek and find.
Another note... be careful at the lineups near the chesterfields... the police have been stinging foreigners. You buy the girl, drive off and the mamachka calls the cops with your license number. Then they stop you and ask for a bribe to let you take her. You end up shelling out more denari and it pisses me off. I've never been stung at himkee, but it doesn't hurt to have the girl lay down on the seat so the cops can't see her head. It can be fun, too.
By the way... has anyone else noticed that the same girls are showing up at chesterfields as at nightflight, but asking about $150 less? Yes, officially it is the "Boar House" but I've found that most of the taxi drivers, or just the guy off the street, will still call it chesterfields.

In Moscow, you can buy girls at lineups (the russian call it "tochkas" or points). A woman will stand on the side of the road and when you stop she will tell you where you can see the girls. Generally, you will drive about 50 meters down some alley where the girls will be gathered. Several cars will be parked there and perhaps a few vans. When you approach another girl will ask you what kind of girl you want, and what price range. Prices are from $50 to $150 depending on the season (winter is cheaper) and the quality of girls. She will then scream out what you have indicated to the girls, and they will "lineup" in front of your headlights so you can choose. Feel free to get out of the car and walk down the line so you can see them better. Ask them to open their coat. Reach around and feel if they have a nice ass. Make sure you have them smile and check their teeth -- horrible to get a pretty face with ugly, messed up teeth! :)
After awhile you can tell which girls are pros and which are new. Some will have definite fear in their eyes (probably new) and some will look hard (pros who hate it) and some will be begging for you to take them. A girl who stares you down alot is often pretty good to fuck.
Buying a girl at a lineup is a rush of power first of all. It's also the best way to check out what you want in the shortest amount of time. Most lineups are pretty courteous even. Girls are out in some places all day (Himkee, for example) but the selection is not very good. I've bought a few girls on the way into the city from the airport around 11am. What I found was okay for a quick fuck, and once or twice i was real happy -- but generally the best girls will be out around 10pm until 2 or 3 in the morning. Yea, the language is a *****. I'm barely conversational, but at least well enough to fake out the occasional taxi driver (I've even had them tell me I was a liar when I confessed I was an American!)

I've used these guys before, and had a great time with a blonde that was actually a playboy (Russian) cover girl. She was a great time.
You call them, and they tell you an address where you go stand by a phone booth. Then a guy comes up and introduces himself to you, and leads you to their apartment. It's all safe and sound, and the girls are lovely.
But always understand, the more english the more the price goes up. You might be better off to try and find a Russian friend (male) who wants to go *****-mongering with you. You'll save money in the end, especially if you are going to enjoy more than one trick.
Also, don't forget the Russian language schools. Just walking around the campus is a fun way to talk to girls who want to practice their english. It's not as easy to get laid that way as it was a few years ago (I started coming to Moscow in 92) but it still can be done, and it's fun too. I will never forget these twins from Voronozhe! The prices are up in certain areas (those where the americans go who don't speak english) but the regular prices are in some cases going down. Don't turn off the line-ups, you just haven't looked hard enough.
It's still 300$ at nightflight, but wait till about 2am and you can get out the door for $100 or $150 if its a slow night. I was there in February and went home with a definite 8 blonde for a great time at $150, but I do speak a little ruskie so it helps. Chesterfields is up and down depending on the night.
it's still best to build a relationship with a dosug, and keep trying till you feel comfortable. Talk to the girls and you can get leads on new ones, or lower prices.
Call the numbers in Moscow Times and just keep talking. You will hit gold when you find a girl who isn't on the total "take it all from the americans" trip.

Nightflight seems like highest quality in Moscow as far as I know. Although

Not sure that this is the right place to get into specific details? The facts are there, and any who have used lineups very often will see what I mean. I'll give it a shot, but email me (michaelgage@mail.ru) if you have any specific questions.

Discovered a neet little trick this evening. If you go to any one of the cafes in the Rossia and ask for a Lady. They will send one to your room about 10 to 20 minutes later. Here in St. Pete the Sovetskaya has not been accomidating in the mongering respect. Although for $65 a night it's great for everything else. They actually practice good customer service here. Hey Man, thanks for all the help. I did find a place today just wondering around. Called Salon SPA "AELITA" they are at 179 Moskovsky Prospect (St. Petersburg). Next to the Jaguar Dealership. Just a comment on "love.mail.ru". I used it last May before a trip to St. Pete's in June. A lot of the e-mails will come back undeliverable. I am now straying from knowledge into Internet speculation, but it is logical that the visa requirement is that the incoming visitor register their visa within 72 hours of entry into Russia, NOT for the entire stay, since that is physically impossible.
Clearly, the visa laws allow for situations where it is impossible to register one's visa after the initial hotel registration, such as when one is taking the overnight train to Siberia; there are allowable gaps between hotel -registered- stays.
Moreover, the whole visa registration system seems pretty poorly organized. Some hotels seem to register you by writing something on a piece of paper which goes into your passport, and who knows if they ever send that onto to Moscow, and who knows if anyone in Moscow actually does anything with that paperwork. I know people who have gone to Moscow for years, and never bother registering.

No, it is not legal, but neither is it prosecuted - in most cases the police are well paid off, and dip into the profits and partake of other side "benefits."
Sometimes you can get burned -- meaning the police will stop you, tell you the girl has no passport or that she is a prostitute and will want money to let you go. Sometimes they will suggest an amount. I've heard of fools who have paid $50, but I generally get off for $5 or $10.
Is one lineup (russian, touchka) better than another? Depends on what you want. I prefer Himkee in the north simply because there are more girls in any given area. In the south, there are some nice spots on lenininsky shosse, not too far from the Moscow State University.
You will discover that many points are based on the girl's nationality -- the ukrainians in one area, belarussians in another, etc, etc.

When you speak in such words, "clearly the visa lawsallow..." I can only chuckle. Clarity is one thing russians don't want, so that the law can be enforced in different ways by different people upon different people who are in different situations. It's that simple.
A hotel is the EASIEST way to get registered, and yes it will cover your entire stay in Moscow. If you go to another city, you will need to be registered in that city, also. You can also go to an OVIR (the agency that issued you the visa/invitation can tell you where there OVIR is located, or if you are in Moscow and don't know, go to a travel agency and they can telephone a directory and confirm where you are to go. In many cases, but not all, you will pay more for the hassle in both cash and time that you will kick yourself for not spending one night in a hotel and having it done for you pro bono.
If a policeman stops you and says your registration is invalid or expired or any other nonsense, he simply wants a bribe. You have two choices, pay the man cuz he doesn't make jack shit in the first place, or tell him you want to call the consulate, and spend the afternoon in his company as he sizes you up to determine how serious you are that you don't want to pay him. For crying out loud, I just had a phone call yesterday from my local police station asking for a donation, so where is the difference? I've even bought them some cigarettes and a beer and had a few laughs, so why not try that? If they get serious and menacing, DEMAND TO CALL THE CONSULATE. They will usually back down from you without much problem.
By the way, this is another reason you just keep "chump change" in your wallet, so when you open it up and he is looking over your shoulder you can offer him $5 dollars while he can plainly see you only have $10. Keep the wad of hundred dollar bills somewhere else, please.
To finish, I wouldn't tempt fate by not registering. Especially if you have the hobby that sends you to this web site. Don't give them any more ammunition to up the ante on extorting money from your grimy hands.

I still don't understand this registration thing. I plan stay in an apartment. If I just stay one night in a hotel and they register my visa for that single night, will I be OK during the rest of my stay in Moscow? Or do I have to register my visa for the entire period of my stay?

MG... Maybe you can clarify some things about visa registration. I think there are actually two steps to visa registration... When I check into a hotel, I receive two stamps on my 12-mo multiple entry visa... The first is for three months, which I think is actually the "registration" and that "registration" is actually given a six-digit registration number. The second stamp is for the hotel and only for that specific period of the stay.
As I understand it, the hotel must "register" your visa for the entire period of the visa PROVIDED that the visa is valid for 3-months or less. Then, each hotel stamps it for the period you stay at THAT hotel. Correct?
Which of the two stamps is the most important? If your visa is "registered" for your entire stay, is it important that the second stamp for the hotel be on the visa? If you go to another city, must you "register" your visa again even though the first hotel registered it for your entire stay?
I understand that the entire visa process is a little confused right now with the new immigration card and the change in government agencies, but I'd appreciate any clarification you can give these two stamps.

Visa Issues:
Please understand that this is how I understand it, and what I have experienced:
First, if your visa is for more than 3 months, I would definately have it registered at an OVIR. Period. It will be done and over and you can do what you want.
Second, if your visa is a tourist visa (30 days) then one registration in a hotel, staying one night, was sufficient to cover me for the entire 30 days, even though I spent the rest of the time at my flat.
Third, if you go to another city, you should also register there -- but the caveat here is if you can get in and out without having your passport checked, what the hell. I've left moscow and come back (2 weeks for one example) and returned without having any additional stamping or registering in my passport. But I didn't stay in a hotel, and wasn't up to the extra hassle. The law says you should, though, so take it into account.
Finally, while registering at an OVIR I was told that they would have to physically take my passport from me, send it in to some office and then it would be returned. I would in the meantime carry around some dumb card saying this was being processed. I was not happy with that idea, so after expressing my hesitation and slipping the woman a $20 she suddenly remembered that she could do it in house, and I went on my way.
This is the Russia I have come to love!

**Visa Discussion**
Since we are on the subject, I thought I would ask about what just happened to me in Moscow. My Visa expired the day before I left. I had purchased a 2 week visa and the dates of arrival and departure were listed for only a 10 day period. When I went to leave the country they gave me a hard time at the airport about it being expired and told me they would see if the Russian Consulate could take care of it for me for $90. They proceeded to tell me that every case was different and up to the consulate attendant to approve or not. I then asked if it was safe to assume that if the attendant was in a bad mood I wouldn't be going anywhere? One of the guards then just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Long story Short, they made me wait 1 hour (cutting it close to catching my plane) and then brought me back $20 with a reciept for $70 for a 1 day extension so I could leave. They said it was the law, however it all seemed to be a little fishy (as did most encounters during my visit).
Any thoughts from the Vets on here would be appreciated.
On a subject of Visa registration.
Go to any (not fancy) hotel.Slip them 10-20 and get it registered for the whole duration of your stay as if you were living in that hotel.
You have to have all dates covered in registration. So when your passport checked by police they see that you staying from-till at such and such hotel... In all other cases prepeare to haggle with them over bribe sum.
If you rent apartment from legitimate Real Estate dealer get him to register your visa.
It is stupid really:) the whole system designed to prevent influx of people with no jobs and no places to stay (read Bums). But just like anything in russia it is used by authorities to extort money from regular people.

...actually the new Moscow police chief supposedly put out a memo stating that the milizia is no longer allowed to randomly stop anybody without a reason... will wait and see what kind of effect this has... :)
...my recent trip to Moscow didn't go quite as planned, I had hoped to spend my nights mongering but instead was more or less saddled with my Russian girlfriend... am not complaining, because she is fantastic and I ended up saving a lot of money, but still I always feel like I am missing out when I am reduced to "just" one girl... Moscow will drive the libido-powered man slowly but surely mad.
But I didn't strike out entirely. On Wednesday, for lack of anything better to do, I went to Doug and Marty's Boar House. I expected it to be slow on a Wednesday night, but the place was packed. The girls were a'plenty, and ranged in quality from 5-8. Anything above 6 is ok with me, and a Moscow 6 is easily an 8 most anywhere else in the world with possible exceptions like Brazil.
Anyway, I was seriously on the prowl and had cash in hand. I had budgeted in $70-100, but was going for a freebie if I could get it. When I went in I was nearly knocked over by the amount of girls there. The place was packed with expat businessmen, mostly English, American and German, as well as a lot of caucasian (Georgian, Armeinian etc.) guys, who for whatever reason seem to hang out at places that cater to Western guys. I don't know if they are somehow pimping, or if maybe they are also just looking for action. Anybody got the lowdown on this?
There were lots of young girls, probably 18-21 years old and quite a few older ones in the 25-35 range. Contact was fairly easy, although curiously enough the first 3 girls I met were from Sweden, the Czech Republic and Poland. An hour and 3 mobile numbers later I met a Russian woman named Irina, who was seemingly in her mid-thirties. She was obviously interested and was average looking (about a 6 sober), with that typical mousy Slavic face, pale skin, blue eyes and blonde hair....and she was tall, even taller than me with long slender legs. And like most girls from Russia, she had a great body. Although I was initially interested in a younger girl, I became fascinated by the idea of nailing a woman older than me (I am 32) and at some point I simply told her I was going home and she was coming with me. She agreed. On the way out three girls who were obviously eyeing me for some time came running up to me asking me to stay... I was tempted, but decided to stick with my choice...maybe I was crazy, but I wanted to try out the older woman, as she didn't cost anything and I was very curious.
Back at my pad, we sat on the couch and began to talk. After about 2 minutes I was bored with the conversation and, having been inspired by some of the stories in this forum about brashness paying off, I simply stood up in front of her and whipped it out, stuffing my johnson in her face. Without hestitating she lustily grabbed it and went to work. I'll spare you the self-promoting graphic details, but I was quite aggresive with her and very forward about my demands. She did everything and loved it, we scrogged like rabbits all night and in the morining she begged me to call her again next time I am in Moscow. I won't, but not because I didn't really enjoy it...the sex was great...but there is just too much other action to be had there. :)
Anyway, I guess the point is that Doug and Marty's is still my favorite choice for easy access to working girls and easy girls alike. Not EVERY girl there is on the take, but most are somehow looking for some action. Quality isn't super high, but solid 5-8. In my experience the 9-10 category is super expensive anyway, whether or not you pay for it up front or in the form of gifts etc. It just goes against my principles to pay more than $150...so I won't. $150 would definitely get you any girl in Doug and Marty's, you should be able to go for a lot less, from $70-100.
I'll definitely check it out again.

Lurking... it's always a good idea to get your visa for longer than you expect to stay. Before I had my 12 mo. visa, I would book a hotel and get an invitation letter for several days longer than I thought I would stay. Then, after getting the letter, I'd shorten my hotel reservation to the actual time required.
Monster... you're right that's definitely an easy way to make it happen. However, as I understand it, if you are at an apartment, the apartment OWNER not the agent has to submit the letter. This makes it more difficult because alot of agents represent absentee owners, sometimes out of country.
Skank, MD... It's nice to have your confirmation that CF is upgrading. My friend has told me that the past couple of weeks at CF have been great during the week. However, he said the Ho's aren't allowed in until midnight or 0030 and it was still rockin' big time at 0230.
I saw the same article about the "new" direction the militia has rec'd, but another friend said they are still staking out the other side of the street from CF. I think it's too much of a profit center for the militia to just stop it.

Your comment about a lot of Georgians, Armenians, etc. hanging out at many of the Westerner places - I don't have a definitive answer, but this is an idea. A RW I saw in St. Petes last summer and then over the New Year seemed concerned at one point that I thought less of her because she had dark hair and eyes and a little less of a white skin. I finally understood that she has been viewed as being from the south of Russia and maybe as having some Chechen or Armenian (or some other) blood in her.
When I explained to her that this is a Russian thing and that I hadn't even thought about it, she smiled and felt relieved.
Also, the nice Russian lady from whom I rented my apartment in St. Petes invited me back with the comment that she would never rent her place to Chechens.
I think there is some real prejudice that many Russians have for the people that come from the southern areas and have darker appearances. I don't know if this explains why more southern types might seem to hang-out at Westerner places, but it is just a thought.
Anybody with more experience have a better idea?

I mentioned the fact that there were really a large number of "caucasians" in CF because I have noticed this phenomenon before at those places that cater to a Western crowd, like CF or Karma Bar or even Marstalls in St.Pete. My gut feeling was that they were there just to have fun and maybe pick up on the women. Although I expected them to dislike Americans, I personally have always gotten along really well with Christian caucasians like Armenians and Georgians and never had any problems with Muslim caucasians, but most "normal" women I have known say they wouldn't touch them or are afraid of them... for many Russians they are all "Chechen terrorists" or criminals.
Seems to me that many Russian men are jealous of them, since a lot of them are successful businessmen (don't ask what kind of business) have a lot of money, cool cars and leggy blonde girlfriends.
I have had two working girls from Georgia and one Chechen and they were all really fantastic, actually more fiery and passionate in bed then many Slavic or Nordic Russian ladies....so my prejudices towards their women at least is very positive... but I'll be careful not to hit on somebody's girlfriend!
If the guys you are referring to at Marstall sit in the booths on the back left hand side of the bar, then I have always assumed that they were the girls 'Managers'. Whenever you pull one of the regulars they have to say 'goodbye to a friend', the friend is usually sitting in one of those three booths...

Frankly speaking, I really don't care if the girls have pimps or not, just as long as the prices are reasonable and she gets some of the take.

You are required to have health insurance and actually you need the health insurance paper to get your visa. However once you have your visa you won't be asked to show it to anyone, but it would seem sensible to carry this info with you regardless, just in case you ever need it for a real emergency. I've never been asked to show any paper that proves I have insurance besides during visa application. The militia in Russia doesn't ask for it to my knowledge and neither does customs during entry.
Check if your insurance covers you in Russia and if not get a policy that supplements your normal insurance and covers you abroad (good idea anyway). These policies generally do not cost much, I think I pay about 20 € for a whole year.

Actually, its not that easy to find *anyplace* in Moscow, even if you have the address. I left the Metro station and walked up and down the main street until it dawned on the me to look across the street at that little trailer looking building.

Explorer, you know your way around, and even at that Moscow can be a challenge... but I really think CF/D&MB is one of the easier places to find for newcomers to Moscow, much easier than a lot of the clubs and other bars. If nothing else, the newcomer can have a taxi take him there. The official taxis will know of it for sure, as will many unofficial "gypsy" taxis. Otherwise, if you are up to taking the metro, it is a really easy trip to Kurskaya, get out of the station, cross the street hang a left, walk a few meters down the street and it will be on your right hand side. It is number 26, the metro station is number 29. If you can't read any Russian and are in Moscow for the first time, than the metro can be a challenge and maybe a taxi is best. A taxi from the center to CF shouldn't cost more than 150 rubles max, you could probably get there for 50-100. I don't take the metro to save money, it is often just much faster than a taxi.
I was in Moscow for one week and stayed at Marriot Tverskaya. Yhe Metro is easy if you could read russian affabet, otherwise you are doomed. Most of the taxi drivers don't speak a word in english, but when I met some guys could speak english I got the phone nummer and I called them every time I wanted taxi. I paid 150 rubles from my hotel to Doug and marty. There was no action until 1 AM. Then there were lot of girls after that. The girls asked for 20 USD for the night but they agreed 150 without any discussion.
I visited some other places like Hungry duck, Night flight and Garage. I will write a detailed report later!

marriott tverskaya is a really nice hotel with really nice rooms... not super luxury, but very pleasant. Only problem with Marriott Tverskaya is that it is not within reasaonable walking distance to the center, and that to get a taxi you have to cross the street, or rather walk through one of the underground passages to the other side... walking across Tverskaya can be done... but is not for the faint-hearted and is nearly suicidal. But that is all minor... it is a hotel that can be recommended.
You can bring girls back, I even brought back 2 once, they will just have to register at the desk if security stops them, which they probably will. There are occassionally girls in the bar, I imagine they want $250+... for that price you might as well go to Night Flight and have more fun. Or even go to CF and take home two...
Jes007...looking forward to info on HD and Garage, havent been to either in a while. You are right about CF, the girls start showing up quite late, I think it is house policy. Last time I arrived about 12, and there were girls lined up to get in that weren't allowed in yet which all ended up showing up later.

I have never visited Moscow but thanks to you, I already have a taste of it and it seems it is definitely worth giving a try. Thank you all. My first visit will take place between the 23rd and the 27th of April, for just one single business meeting of about 4 hours ? after this I'll definitely deserve some fun.
My HQ will be the Marriot as it seems to be quite friendly with guests. I tried also to call many girls from www.dosug.nu, if you don’t speak Russian so forget it. Other wise you can find a taxi driver who speak English to drive you to the addresses. Why bother when you can find the girls at D&M’s or NF. What you see is what you get. I didn’t ask about anal sex so I don’t know.
Staff at Marriot Tvetrskaya were very friendly. Specially the security guys. One evening I asked one of these guys to let Maria in. He actually followed her to my room personally. These guys smiled to me in a strange way when I came to the hotel with Liana, the busty blond.

I have just recently returned from Moscow and St. Petersburg, and I do not think you will have any problems getting girls to pose for you. They are quite willing to do just about anything. I would think that (at least the girls I ran into) would welcome posing for the camera.
Also, regarding speaking other languages. English will not get you very far, however the russian population learns several languages in school. Dutch and French are on that list for the curriculum. I think you will get along just fine without any real problems. You are more set than I was when I went over and I had a great time. Just do not walk the streets by yourself at late hours. Mafia is everywhere and generally harmless, however the police will hassle you the most. Just be smart, take cabs at late hours, keep your papers with you (securely) and do not carry ALL your cash on you. Just like in any big city.

$200 as opening price for Night Flight is lower than it was a few weeks ago, where $300 was opening price and $250 was realistic. Have prices gone down there, maybe a new club policy?

In my opinion, at those prices all girls should kiss and kiss passionately, if they won't, make them. BBBJ is pretty common, I think this is the only kind I've had while in Russia...never had anybody try to put on a condom. Actual sex always with condom, which is the way I do it anyway. Just a rule that one should stick to.
Night Flight:
The place does have a great restaurant and a really friendly helpful staff and if you go to the restaurant you don't have to pay the $20 entrance fee...so even though the prices are high in the restaurant, it balances out. And the food is great. Even though the prices for girls at NF are higher than many other places, Night Flight is a must see if you haven't been there yet. The girls rock in the looks department... but many also very professional in the negative sense. Some NF girls will show up at D&M/CF late at night. The girls get around.
Swissman: Dress code at NF is "classy", but you don't have to wear a suit. Just dress nice. This is pretty much a rule everywhere in Russia, it is definitely a class society and you want to show everybody which class you are in. If you dress down, dress "cool" down. That works too...but it still should look expensive!
Russian girls and designer goods:
Designer goods of any type are the Russian girls favorite aphrodisiac... they can't get enough of it. They are actually really superficial in that aspect compared to other girls around the world, but if you play your cards right you can use this to your advantage. The best are things that are labeled, like a Boss shirt, an expensive watch or a D&G belt or something like that. Coming from the West, you cannot convince a Russian girl that you aren't rich...and if you moan about money to them, you will be considered a loser and your sex appeal will plummet.
Money = Power = Sex : fact of life in Russia (and most other places too, but in Russia it is blatant)
There are exceptions to this of course and I know a lot of really wonderful Russian non-superficial girls... but you likely won't meet them at pick up bars and clubs! I say, go with it and use whatever advantages you have, money or otherwise, to get some play...

Couple of comments, Skank, MD, is correct. If you're going to NF anyway, you may as well have dinner there. If you choose to (and don't get carried away!) you can eat something for basically the cost of the normal cover charge. Plus, you get to watch all of the girls go in and out of the WC as you snack.
I've found that the action at NF starts MUCH earlier than at CF(D&M Boarhouse). The NF girls will arrive at 11:00 (2300) or so during the week. The weekend is supposed to be less active at NF. There is absolutely no reason to go to CF before 2400 or 0030 because they don't let the ho's in until then. Plus, Friday and Saturday nights are very crowded with regular Russians and even at 0030 it'll still be packed with regular RU girls... be very careful that you're not hitting on some drunk RU guy's girl or you may feel the wrath of his anger and get to meet the CF bouncers up close and personal. A lot of the regular RU girls will clear out before 0100 so they can catch the Metro... otherwise, they'll probably be there all night and are fair game after 0100, but I'd play them as regular girls first without offering $$$ and then let them tell you that they have a "sick sister" or not!
I also have never paid more than $100 at CF, except for two sisters for a double session and it was worth every extra farthing! My experience at NF is that they start at $300+ and drop to $200 fairly easily. I have a friend that goes there a lot and says on some of the slow nights they'll go to $150, but YMMV.
Doc, is exactly right, dress classy everywhere you go... the big exception is CF. You can wear anything there and get away with it. The girls won't care one way or the other.
I've stayed at all of the Marriotts and the Tverskaya is very nice, but on the bottom of the three for quality and location. If you're going to CF, there is no need to cross Tverskaya in the underground passage to get a car. You stop one in front of the hotel going North and then he'll turn right in a couple of blocks to take the Garden (I think) Ring road directly to Metro Kurskaya. CF/Boarhouse is directly across the street from the Metro and the new shopping mall, The Atrium (pronounced AH tri um). For the Metro from the Marriott Tverskaya, walk north to the big square and the Metro Belorusskaya is catty-corner across the square in the big ornate building.
Two good clubs are near the Tverskaya/Metro Belorusskaya, Dirty Dancing and Voodoo Lounge. In addition, the lap dance club, Platinum, is very close.
Another good spot around the NF, Garage, Cafe Pushkin, Pushkin Square area is the Pyramid. Nice place for a cup of coffee and to watch the girls. Most are regular girls, but some working girls stop in there early before heading to the clubs. In the summer, they have a outdoor seating and the views of the talent are spectacular!
I have two suggestions for new visitors to Moscow. 1. Learn the Cryillic alphabet because not all of the street signs have the Romanized name AND some of the clubs names are not in English or Romanized letters. 2. Pick up a map of Moscow in the Cyrillic alphabet to use in conjunction with your tourist map with Roman alphabet. There's a big bookstore just North of Red Square on Tverskaya and they sell nice maps for 32 Rubles ($1)

I agree with you about NF. The dinner prices at very low compared to the other good restaurants. And the swedish chef Leander makes great food. I didn't have my dinner there because I had my dinner with my collegues.
Last thing I wanted is to get in trouble with the security guys, but most of the guys seemed friendly.

Night Flight:
The restaurant can be recommended but "very low" the prices aren't...$7 (210 rubles) for a Corona is pricey even by Moscow standards and any main course will run $25-30. The "special" costs $23 (700 rubles). Portions are relatively small. So I would say the prices are average for upper class eating, in the "Scandanavia" or "Uley" range. The menu is also quite limited in range, but the food is excellent. A lot of fish meals, but also delicacies like reindeer steak. I think they said they fly in the ingredients from Sweden, like "Scandanavia" does as well.
So if you are going to NF anyway to monger, save the $20 entrance fee by dining there first...you won't go wrong. Or if you want to check out NF and have to eat anyway, why not go to the retaurant and check out what NF has to offer?
This is a message to all the "foreigners" who come to Moscow just for a short time and hang out at Chesterfields/Boar House. The maximum price you pay for ANY girl here is $100 for the night !!! This is the standard rate and ALL girls will accept this. You idiots are driving up the price. I have been in Moscow for many years but recently mediocre looking *****s are asking for $150 or even $200 for the night - I kept looking around to see if I was mistakenly in Night Flight !!!
In most other western countries I know you pay a lot more. But lets keep the prices down here In Moscow there are thousands of good looking *****s so no need to fuck the first one you pick. Some other info about working girls :
1. NF - all *****s here are 9 or 10. Try to bargain them down to $200 for the night. Don't let them fool you when they say they have to leave early or can only stay a few hours - pick someone else. The drinks at the bar are very expensive, so this is not the place to relax and take your time - decide which girl you want, negotiate and leave. You can easily run up a drinks bill of $100 in less than an hour.
2. Safari Lodge - interesting place. Downstairs (500 Roubles cover charge) - Strippers/Lapdancers cost 100 Roubles a song. Most of them very pretty but they don't do sex. The other girls who don't dance are available for sex (but they are very ordinary) - they have rooms downstairs - cost between $70 - $100 for 1 hour. I don't see the point as for that price you can get a chick at the Boarhouse and fuck her all night.
3. Internet site - dosug.nu - need to speak Russian though. Very reliable, safe and the girls are the actual ones you see on the internet. You may be lucky if you phone and someone may speak English. Prices vary $50 an hour to $300 a night. But here you get what you pay for.
4. Tochka's - best value for money and good fun. Just ask any taxi driver for a "dyevushka" - means young lady. You will need to give the taxi driver another 100-200 Roubles extra and he will take you to a few tochka's so that you can see the ladies. When you drive up the mamochka will say $70, $100 or $150 - don't bother with the $70 unless you are drunk and your vision is blinded or you are on a tight buget. Generally the $100 girls are fine. Pick one, make sure they come to the car so that you can see them upclose. Pay the mamochka and off you go. $100 is generally for the night - the girls usually have to be back at "home" at about 8:00am, so even if you pick them up at 3am or 4am they still have to leave your place at 8:00am - so the earlir you go the better.

About some places:
CF: If you associate yourself with middle aged, overweight ,bolding man with no taste .,go there. You would feel right at home.

Thanks for your persepective. If you can recommend any no-cover clubs (like Dirty Dancing or whatever), I'd appreciate it. Also if there is any particularly good place for weekdays, like Wed and Thurs in particular, that would really help. I agree that no-cover places are the best for picking up normal Russian girls... they are still impressed by Western guys there. :) Upscale clubs are more difficult.
Have to differ on your opinion of CF though.
CF really isn't that awful. It certainly isn't upscale in any way, but for first time and occassional travellers it is a good easy access way to find affordable professional pussy. Things like tochka or telephone services are intimidating for non-Russian speakers on there first trips to Moscow, and CF offers a good alternative. Quality is defintely hit and miss. I was disappointed a year ago at the available quality and stopped going for awhile, but my last two trips were great, and also got an effortless freebie there. I'll agree though that it isn't a "cool" club for young Russians to go to and "normal" Russian girls (where the best quality can be found) usually won't go there... and limiting yourself to CF and NF won't give you a real idea of what Russian girls are... these places are both strictly pick up joints for expats. Quality in my opinion ranges from 5-8 depending on night an luck.
NF is nice but isn't a real club either...and the prices are too high to make it a real habit place. I also agree with mohcetp that NF rarely feautures a true 9 or 10....but there are a lot of very good 7-8's there and the occassional model quality babe can also be had.
Picking up freebies is easier in Russia than in other places, but it isn't "automatic" in any way...even for expat Russian speakers, and especially for guys going out alone, with only a couple of days time in Russia, work appointments to be met, limited to weekdays (not there on weekends), limited Russian language ability etc...
BTW: I'm a young(ish) guy, good-looking and very capable of picking up women in any country... I've been to several clubs in Moscow with good success...but also went home alone as well sometimes. If I am looking for a sure thing at affordable prices without having to make a real effort...then CF is a decent place to go. If the quality sucks there...as it sometimes does, then get a taxi and go to a lineup.

Swissman... my experience at the sheraton is that you must register the girls with the front desk. That's a problem if they don't have papers or a passport. I'd stick to the Marriotts or the Renaissance.

It is true that some of the "regular" girls are a little long in the tooth, but you can't forget that "one person's trash is another person's treasure!" There have been several knockouts there after 0030 this last week. i had a great time last week in moscow, both with some freebie action and a couple of professional scores. all in all, it was a wild week for me. here’s my report:
monday night, doug and marty’s:
i arrived monday night, and after checking into my apartment and eating dinner with my biz partners, i was finally able to get out about midnight. even though i had to work the next day, the sultry warm spring air of moscow added to the city’s already vibrant sexual energy, making calling it a night at midnight nearly impossible…anyone who has been there knows what i mean.

then the blonde girl from the dancefloor came up to the table, it seems that i had sat at the table of her friends. we talked for awhile, and after learning that the waifish girl was married, i concentrated on the blonde “julia” from the dance floor. we had a great time, and i made a point of not groping her, as i had observed her fighting off groping advances from others. i had hoped this would create the opposite effect in her, and she would start groping me…sometimes the female mind is so simple to play. it worked. i grabbed her hand and took her to the dance floor, dancing close but not touching her…just tantalizing her. soon she had her hands all over me and about 3am we piled into a lada taxi (all 4 of us!) and took off. after some heated discussion in the taxi between the 3 girls, i got out at my apartment with julia and we went upstairs.

off to cabana, which is in the same building as the baltschug kempinski. for those who don’t know cabana, it is known as an “african” bar/disco. there are lots of black guys there, both working at the bars and as security and some just hanging out. it was about two-thirds full, not bad for a tuesday night. quite a few women too, but the quality seemed kind of low, about 4-6. the music was good though, and i sat next to the dance floor for awhile, watching some skanky chicks dance…really quite comical, they were atrocious dancers. not a bad place for a tuesday night. it was getting late though and i went out to the bar area away from the dancefloor to check if there was anything going on. then a woman, also somewhat oriental or central asian in appearance, called to me in english asking if i wanted a girl. she was sitting at a table with 3 quite cute girls, each about 7 in quality. we teased around for awhile, she said i could have a girl for $200. i said i would never pay more than $100. she laughed, offering to pay me $500 to sleep with her…she was the mamachka, and claimed to have 100 girls in her “stable”. i stayed tough, and told her that i would absolutely not pay more than $100…ever. just then she introduced me to another girl, nadya. i was instantly in love.

If price is no problem and it has to be a Marriott, the best Marriott is the Marriott Aurora, which is located only a couple of minutes walk from Red Square and is right in the middle of several streets which offer good shopping (at Moscow prices...) and close to a lot of good restaurants, clubs etc.
The Renaissance is another hotel (not a Marriott) located on Olympisky Prospekt which is a long way away from any action. OK hotel, but not close to anything.
Walking at night in central Moscow is OK, but be aware of the police (militia) who will stop random passers-by and ask to see their passports and visa registration. The Marriott will register your visa when you arrive. Just keep the registration paper with you at all times after that.
Other than that just use common street smarts you would use in any city and you'll be fine.
Guys, why always clubs or street scene? Try SALONS. Some with English lang sites.

I'm seriously thinking about visiting Club Katenka and if so I'll report. I wonder why these clubs don't send someone to the hotel lobby to pick us up and give us a ride to the Club. Some of these places appear hard to find for a newbie Westerner.
Salons can send the girl to your hotel. And the rest is about Hotel's policy. Salons and hotels are not cooperating. Hotels mostly have their own girls and different mafia divisions. But you can easily take any gipsy car at street and for 1-2 dollars reach your address (it is in the center of the City).

jb2000, the Marriott Royal is very nice, but the Marriott Grand is also great. It's close to the Metro and there's normally a lineup right across the street. The Renaissance is part of the Marriott chain and has the same policies, but it is a long way from anything. The Marriott Tverskaya is nice, but not comparable to the Aurora or Grand and it's more isolated from the action and the metro. All are very user-friendly.
You'll have a good trip... the weather is good and the girls are out in force. I've been here for the past three weeks and it has become progressively better. Don't worry any more about cruising around than you would in any big city. In fact, I actually feel safer in Moscow walking late at night than I do in London.
Chicboy... My friend anton888 and I have been having that exact discussion... In his opinion, BA has beautiful women and is a great city, but Moscow is the capital when it comes to fine women. BA doesn't have anything comparable to the Moscow lineups, which must be experienced to believe. You will experience a GFE about 80% of the time with the lineup girls... it is normal to expect them to go for deep kissing, BBBJ, several sessions and will spend the night if you wish. I can only confirm the Moscow experience because I haven't been to BA yet because it's so hard to break away from the Russian girls!

I just requested a letter for visa from Royal. Do you think I could use that letter (from the Royal) even if I actually switched and stayed at the Grand?
Unfortunately will only have 3 nights-two days or four nights- three days in Moscow. Hopefully I'll be able to go to a lineup even though I'm a first timer and I don't speak a word of Russian.

jb2000... I doubt you would have a problem changing reservations. All of the Marriotts work out of a central (moscow) reservations. Besides, once you have the letter, you are set. Just call them and ask to be changed to the Grand.
doc shank... I've stayed at the Grand for a total of about 25 nights in the past 15 months and I was also surprised when we went on a "road trip" to check out all of the lineups and the driver began cruising south on Tverskaya and directly across the street from the Grand is a beacon girl directing us to turn right. I can remember if there was another turn or not, but it seems we may have turned left shortly and a very nice lineup was there. I can't guarantee that it's there every night, but it was nice that night. So it sounds like the beacon girl is on the same side of the street as your apartment (east side of Tverskaya). I don't think you'll have a problem finding it. Keep in mind that this last week the lineups in the center were really shut down because, I think, of the P. McCartney show.
There are also several lineups that are pretty close to CF, which makes a nice package going to and from the Tverskaya/Pushkin Sq area to CF.
Doc... are you in Moscow now? I leave tomorrow, but maybe we can have a beer later on Monday night?

Its interesting that there are so few posts about the Moscow massage parlor scene, easily one of the best in the world. This afternoon, I went to the Siesta Club parlor, which is still a bargain at 1000 rubles. After a hard day at the beach, there is nothing better than to have a hard Russian massage by some 19 year old blonde cheerleader, followed by a soft massage.
I will be back in Moscow in early July. In previous visits I have attempted to find the Hungry Duck, I have never managed too, although I saw from Doctor Skanks earlier e-mail, where it was located, roughly.

Whenever we've been in Moscow, previously, and that's fairly often, maybe 3 or 4 times per year, we've always tried some reconaissence work, either looking for gifted amateurs, or somewhere like Doug and Martys, though have never been satisfied with the quality of girls available at such places, so always seem to end up back at night flight, where there is always quality available, though at higher costs than such as d & m.
the going rate at n f is $200 never paid less, though have, when really found somebody worth it, paid more.
You know the saying, you've tried the rest, now try the best? Also note that a lot of the guys seem to be staying at the central hotels, whereas I've found that you can rent apartments for much less per night than taking a room at the Marriott.
The sort of place that I rent is in the Deutschebank building, so it's new, modern, Westernised, etc, and far more appealing than a hotel room.
When you've got a hot siberian girl in need of a good seeing to. If you pay in advance, for me it's in the UK, then you also save on paying many of the local taxes, so it's well worth doing.
I look forward to hearing from anyone with Hungry Duck address, in Cyrillic, like I said above.

The first time I went to Hungry Duck, I also had a difficult time finding it. Here is the reason. It is not exactly on Pushechnaya. It is in the courtyard in front of Kuznetsky Most metro station. So once you get there go into that courtyard, it will be on your right. Having said this, IHO, Hungry Duck is not worth one's time. Maybe once upon a time it was happening. But right now it is more of a tourist trap. Good luck!

Sorry to keep asking questions but I've got two more:
1) According to some posts I'll need to declare my U.S. dollars when entering the country. Do you guys actually do this and is it advisable to be truthful even if I'm bringing in $1000-2000 into the country. My thought is that if I declare $1500 (for example) and the police see this declaration when they stop me, they would ask for a bigger bribe. Thats assuming I'm required to carry the customs declaration wherever I go.
2) Will police expect a bribe if they stop you and your papers are in perfect order?

To answer your question: No you dont have to carry decalration with you. Put approximate amount of cash on that paper when going through customs. Noone would ask you to count your cash anyway. If you have nothing to declare except cash, Go through Green corridor! In that case they would not even ask you for declaration.
You never gonna get stoped in Moscow unless you riding in a back of the Cab with young girl at 2 a.m. In that case have Pasport+Turist card (given on plane)+ hotel registration with appropriate dates of your stay. If they start talking about some BS :Like you missing smthing, stamp or some paper...they are not serious they just trying to shake you down. Tell them to call consulate and they would go away . Unless you don't have a credit card, don't bring large cash amounts into Russia. I believe the current limit is $1500, less than this you can pass through the Green Channel at customs.

Here is the official scoop on cash. If you aren't carrying lots of cash...which you probably shouldn't...and have nothing else to declare, then go green line in and leave through the green line. It is much quicker and the only hassle I've ever had was when I once went through the red line.
"According to the law, both Russian and foreign citizens have the right on each single occasion to carry out of Russia up to U.S. $10,000 in cash (or rather – any hard currency in an amount not exceeding the equivalent of U.S. $10,000) without the presentation of documents confirming the transfer, importation or remittance into the country or purchase of the exported sums on its territory.
In these circumstances – upon exit from the Russian Federation:
§ Sums up to $3,000 (or its equivalent) are not required to be declared.
§ Sums over $3,000 should be declared in written form in a passenger customs declaration.
To take out an amount of hard currency in addition to the permitted $10,000, a customs declaration confirming the import into Russia of the corresponding sums must be submitted to customs officials."
This law has been in effect since Feb 27,2003. However I still recommend not carrying more than $1000-1500 in cash when leaving.
Regarding registration papers, you should always have your registration and passport on you, and also make copies of both. When in the center of Moscow, especially around Red Square, it is quite possible that you'll get stopped by the militia and be asked to produce documents. If your stuff is in order, they'll let you pass. The only "dangerous" time is at night when you are walking around and the militia stops you. They might try to get a bribe then, especially if you have been drinking. So don't walk around late at night...take a taxi. If you are stopped and they try to hassle you about missing stamp etc. you can either threaten to call the embassy etc. and they will likely back down, or you can give them 100-200 rubles and walk away. Chances are, if your stuff is in order they'll let you pass. We shouldn't blow this out of proportion though, it doesn't happen that often and when it does, its quite harmless.

shank MD... I've never read or seen anything in Russia that states the rules about $10,000 in or out! That is certainly the rule in the USA and you must declare cash of $10,000 or more. When I left Moscow last week, the sign stated that cash in excess of $3,000 must be declared.
FYI, I've travelled into Russia on several occasions with more than $10,000. Sometimes, they will tear up your original customs form and make up a new more formal form, other times they just stamp it. They've never counted the cash(unlike Romania), but usually want to see it. When I have left, I've always had much less than I arrived with and have had no problem. In fact, I've found that the red lines are actually shorter than the green line on many occasions.
I always declare the money that I take into Russia because it will always be more than $3,000.
Also, I've been stopped by the militia more times than I can remember... sometimes with girls and sometimes alone or with guys. I have never had them look at my customs form to see how much cash I entered with. I've never experienced a "problem" with my papers that required a payment to leave. Of course, there have been times that the girls have a "problem" and I had to make a decision to pay a fine or let the girl go. At the same time, on several occasions, the girls papers were in order and we left with no problem or fine.
One caution... I am a 50+ white guy. The rules may change if you are younger... or if you get mouthy... or if you are Asian, Arab/Chechen, or dark skinned. At any rate, I've found that I become very respectful when one of the militia have an AK-47 at the ready! I've also found the militia to be very "professional" as they figure out how to get you to offer to pay the "fine" on the spot instead of going to the station!

The cash statement is taken from an official document which I have as a pdf file that I got from AmCham (american chamber of commerce)... I can't guarantee that customs officials at the airports abide by anything but their "own" rules, but that is the official policy. If you read the statement though, it says to declare everything above $3000.
Militia seems less aggresive as of late in stopping foreigners, but they are always around and on the take, but certainly aren't interested in the customs declaration. They are only concerned with your passport and visa and visa registration, or of the registration of your female company.

I believe the minimum amount to declare is $2000 and up. I never had any problems bringing cash in. The problem is if you take it out of the country. Which is a problem for the government trying to avoid capital flight. We, punters, spent all the money on the girls, so we are cool. Some , actually , leave Moscow owing money, LOL.
I agree about the militia. Don't despise the guys, or talk bad about Russian men to your Russian girlfriend. The poor guys make about $100 to $150 a month in salary, if they ever get paid at all.
Keep in mind , your pretty Russian girlfriend's father, and brothers are............. surprise! Russian men.

skank, MD... the lineups usually get started at different times. I've been as early as 2130 and have picked some real jewels at 2230. I've been told that some lineups actually run 24/7, but I can't verify that. I've also been told that new girls usually show up after midnight, which may be true, but I think in reality the girls just keep coming throughout the evening. I've been to lineups late, 0200, and they only had one or two girls, but I've also found some nice girls late... so the bottom line is that a tochka is "like a box of chocolates"...
Of course, each of the lineups can have beautiful girls one night and dogs the next night, so YMMV. I've been to probably 25 or 30 all over the city and I think I haven't even scratched the surface yet! I think the two best areas are the two lineups on ul. Zemljanoj Val (Garden Ring) near Chesterfields, AKA Doug & Martys and also on Leninsky Prospect in the SW part of the city (they only seem to be on the side running into the city, so as you drive out from the Center watch for the beacon girls on the other side!). My friends and I have gotten some beautiful fresh girls at both of these areas.
There many lineups on Leningradsky Schosse on the way to the airport (SVO), but I've never really seen anything there that was particularily nice, but it could have been a bad night. I did see some cuties at the lineup just off of Tverskaya across from the Marriott Grand.
I don't think that I've ever been out on Mira Prospect... I'll have to try that in a couple of weeks.
Prices at all of them seem to be consistant... $70, $100, and, maybe, $150. I always look at all three before I decide.
I think the lineups are one of the greatest attractions about Moscow. Last month, I hooked up with a beautiful 19 yo from Ikursk who was only in town for a couple of weeks to visit her grandmother and was trying the lineups to earn a little cash. I was with her on her second night... Is this a great country or what? Last month, I was in Moscow for about 3 weeks and I used lineups and callup services the entire time and didn't hook up with a girl for CF or NF the entire trip.
Of course, if he's lurking out there, michaelgage is the "real" expert on lineups.
ariesman... IMHO, Spb and Moscow are totally different animals. Spb should not be missed. It is a beautiful city and hasreally beautiful girls and if you are in the market for a non-pro, I'd probably focus on Spb. However, I think that Spb, compared to other cities outside the FSU, is outstanding, but COMPARED to Moscow the pro options are very limited. In Moscow you have beautiful girls and every pro option there is, plus there are girls from all over the FSU head there, so you have much more variety.
I personally prefer Moscow because there is a greater variety of girls, restaurants, clubs and other attractions. I think the girls can be generally less expensive in Moscow, but some of the other costs are probably more.
However, keep in mind that I've only spent about 12 nights in Spb and probably 4+ months in Moscow in the past 16 months. So, I am obviously sold on the big city!

I can tell you Moscow is pretty awesome. Went to Doug and Marty's last night and I thought the selection was very good-excellent. Asking prices seem to be $100 but I think that's only a starting point for negotiations. I paid the full $100 because I saw one walk in at 1:00AM that I was sure would be gone in 5 minutes. I had a great time. It appears there is a lineup across from the Grand on Tverskaya. Last night I saw a young girl on the side of the street (southbound side-opposite the Grand) and she wasn't flagging down a taxi. I assume she leads you to the lineup. CA, can I see that lineup without a taxi? Do you think that lineup is there every night? Guess I'll find out tonite. People here are down on Doug and Marty's but I was very pleased with the selection. I don't want to pay Night Flight prices. One more thing-taxis suck here. Expensive and difficult to negotiate with. I've been here one day and I can tell you this place is excellent (but somewhat pricey) fro pro entertainment.

jb... glad you found the lineup across from the grand... yes, you can definitely walk to it without any problems.
As far as the taxis go, I try to stay away from them. All you have to do is figure out where you are going, then have the folks at the grand write out the address in cryllic (don't forget to get one to take you back to the hotel)... then you go out to the street and put your hand out with the palm facing down. Someone will stop for you in about 5 seconds... open his door and show him the address, he'll probably wave you in, BUT if he doesn't say it, first ask "skolka", and he'll say something which you won't understand, then say "sto rublie" (100 rubles/$3.30), at this point he'll either flag you in (get in!) or say another price which you won't understand or shake his head (in both these cases, start to close the door, he'll probably quickly flag you to get in). This is how the locals do it and it is actually alot of fun. (of course, if he had told you 50 rubles and you came back with 100 rubles, he'll probably think you're a crazy tourist, but who cares.)
I normally use the Metro stations as landmarks and if they don't understand how I pronounce it, I have a map in cryillic to point to where I want to go.
BTW, don't ever get into a car with more than one person in it!

The lineups are the best way to find variety and explore all the possibilities. Perhaps the only "better" way is to develop relationships with people who have connections, but that takes alot of time and usually better language. And sometimes it can be a tad intimidating.
The key is to remember you are fishing, and sometimes what you catch isn't the best, but there is always tomorrow. And sometimes you catch one that will lead you to a whole school.

Hello Stevehonc, In the city center, in the tourist area pick the nicest hotel and ask one of the staff... One of the best hotels (it was a few years ago so I don't remember which) has some stores in the lobby with world class model type hotties at the registers. I was told some of the women were for sale. I was on a lower budget and found a treasure. I was looking in an English language paper and came across an add for massage costing about $18 US. When I got there I was asked if I wanted two women giving me a massage instead of one (the extra girl would cost another $7 US). Of course I said yes! The two girls were as beautiful as what you'd find at a great strip club in the US. I went back for a two-hour session with two women every day I was there. But if you have only two days and $ is not an issue you should have no problem at one of the best hotels in the city center. Have Fun!
PS One night I had one of the hotel staff bring me a beautiful stunning woman. The specifications I gave were she must be beautiful and has to really enjoy having sex. I paid $150 US for two hours. I see now it was too expensive but I do remember those two hours even today…

Okay guys, here is my Moscow experience from about 4 years ago. I'm no expert because I haven't been back to Russia, but I can't believe that it's changed, essentially, that much from the experience that I had. Follow what I say here & even if you're a relative neophyte to the hobby and/or to Russia, I think you'll have a fabulous time. Here's my advice:
1) Stay in a NICE American or W. European chain hotel. I was at the Sheraton - one of the nicest hotels in Moscow, I recommend - and just go to the bar. I went to the lobby bar where about 4 or 5 girls were working, obviously with the knowledge & cooperation of the management. These girls were very classy, well dressed, and ranged from merely attractive to drop dead gorgeous.
2) Order a drink & make eye contact w/ the most beautiful girl there. I did & when she returned the look with a smile, I just went to her, asked what she was drinking & ordered.
3) Just Ask! If a beautiful women is unattended in the hotel bar & returns your look, she WILL f*ck, that's why she's there. It's only a matter of price. In my circumstance, after about two minutes of chit chat - her English was good enough to communicate w/ no problem - I told her I wanted her to come with me to the room & asked what she needed.
4) Offer between 1/2 and 2/3 of what she quotes, depending on her overall attitude and how hot she is. Anastasia quoted me $300. I told her I was only prepared to pay $200 this evening and after about 2 seconds of thought, she smiled and accepted.
Does any of this sound like rocket science?!! It's about as easy as it gets, actually, to get laid here.
While some might think I got ripped off and that guys like me ruin the market, I don't see it that way. First of all, the girl was an absolute world class beauty. Think Brooke Shields, only prettier, kind of slavic looking, w/ 38dds, 26 years old. She absolutely LOVED sex, too. We went for 3 hours, all positions, oral w/out cover, 2 pops (only because two is my max for that period of time). Some of the best sex I've ever had with a vogue cover girl look alike & I know she had to share her fee with the hotel. I think $200 is a good deal for that, even in 1999. So my advice is, don't insist on bargaining absolutely down to the lowest possible price. I know I got better service because I didn't, because she didn't feel like she was being taken advantage of, she really put her heart (not to mention other parts of her body) into it. Definitely worth the extra $50 bucks or so IMO.
So I think if you follow the above routine, chances are good that you'll have an incredible time in Moscow for very good value. As always, any girl that gives you a bad vibe, i.e., she just wants your money & runs, go elsewhere until you find an attractive one w/ a good attitude. They're definitely available in Moscow. Let him know that you are picky and she's got to be beautiful and her attitude has to be the same or you will reject her then he'll get his best. I know nothing about escort services in St. Pete. Any one has more info on the scene at Radisson,Moscow ? Last time I was there the night club had some very good looking babes ,but the ask was 300 US$, after negotiation 250. I found it way high as per the current rates elsewhere so I declined.
Also tried the massage in the hotel and it was Vegg.
Planing to be there in the near future ,so any info will be of help.

translates the Russian language by itself, just type in or speak to the device and the device automatically translates the sentence in English and vice versa, I find it very handy and usefull in odd situations and I don't need to ask every time to people for
