Hadyai over all report
New season hotel is not good enuff, no hairdryer, no water pot to boil water, KNN, i bring my own 3in1 white coffee and no chance to sip it. No swimming pool, no inhouse breakfast, the room wardrobe is small and against the main door, the decor is crash, i have no place to place my bag, when wanna off the room light, i need to go under the small table for the switch, yes got a safe box, not feel wanna put my thinggy on the safe, bcoz the safe box is on the floor, how can i place my talisman and wallet on the floor? For Hotel, i still prefer Sakura or Regency.
Food:
Dining is always my liking, spicy food of HDY is the best to taste around. SAOWEI restaurant is a promising place to dine. New discover is the roast Pig leg. And those keow teow teng will not miss out from my list.

Hotels:
I had similar experiences on the hotel as described by you. I usually stay in Regency New wing or Diamond Hotel. Both have safe in the room. Recently Diamond Hotel had renovations, repainted and refurbishment. Not bad a place for Bath 880/night. Distance also very near to Central.
Restaurants:
Saowei is still my favourite. Clean and promising as mention. My favourite dish is The Batu fish aka Kampung fish. Roast pig leg also in my favourite list.
The last time I went, I had stew goose feet with noodles in "hong yok restaurant" other thing very expensive as this reastaurant has a similar setup like those tai thong restaurant in KL.
There is another restaurant similar road to Waterbar, Payang restaurant, this restaurant situated in a mini forest, while having dinner they provide "Wayang kulit show" speak in thai. No big deal, but the food is promising. The setback is many mosquite.
I must agree with Daijek that trips to Hadyai depends on luck, and also goods companionship for pals and not forgetting plenty of yummy food.

What a trip... I miss it liao. Nvm, i will b back. Next time we try Sakura or Regency. No problem 1, as long as u happy. But the FR was so short. No juicy FR meer.

FYI, will try to arrange bonking time with Kei Kei soon as i hear that she is back !!! hahaha......from what i hear, Kiss Channel and Or Kar is the place to be currently in HDY...BM doesn't have much action since the last time i was there. The pretty girls at BM are mostly untouchables..so hit rate is very low. Kiss Channel is a must go !!! Will try to find out any other new fishing place before my trip.
Do plan itinerary so that you can join me in HDY... i promise you that there will be lots of pretty girls..hehe. I am planning to tempt and corrupt you from your regular girl...haha.

we contemplated about going Orkar or Kiss Chanel and we choose Kiss Chanel. Puying there may not up for take cause most come with BF and customers...but that could have been because that was a Friday and many sex tourists on that day. Like Daijek said the drink is quite OK for a place of such decor and with good singing show.

I glad that you guys had a good time, especially daijek, import from China via Malaysia. Very nice, after cheong can take a good nap and then more activities after another (this is the best when it comes to a cheonging trip) non stop action.
I had the similar disaster on the hotel you mention. Most of the time i prefer Regency New Wing or Diamond Hotel. Actually Diamond is very near to central and they have done they painting works and the Hotel rooms seems new, only Bath880/ night, both these hotel comes with a safe deposit in the room.
Have to agree with Daijek that the food Sawoei is good. My favourite is the Grill " Batu Fish" aka Kampung Fish. Roast pork leg also super yummy, especially when eating with chilli.
The Stew goose feet with noodles in " restaurant Hong Yok" is yummy. Other food in this restaurant is super expensive as the set up is similar to those Tai Thung restaurant in KL.
Have to agree with Daijek, element of luck play an important part when choosing a girlie. A successful trip also counts on the company of all fellow cheongsters.

I went Cool69 room looks Ok to me for its size, but if according to what you said about the facilities then it is indeed not worth the money, better go Sakura for similar price yet with many nice in room facilities and the lobby free internet access. Some more Sakura massage is one of the best and with over 70 ML to choose from you cannot go wrong there. :) However N. season bed is something else, HUGE!
Yes the SAOWEI has tasty food and for the price of 1350B we paid the food is well worth it.

What can we say? It is a Friday and most gals got customers booking way before they arrive LOS. You guys recal the fair doll like gal who came by to chat with me and my puying? She got her Singapore customer calling already before he flew in. My puying called me and said on Saturday her Karaoke is fully booked out, and that is like 23, 24 puyings. Saturday ma, many hungry libidos to appease. :D
CondomX, Cool69 and Platonic, where is you guys FR, still thinking of the weekend??? :)
BTW, Daijek the IOAPM calling card is really a funny touch.. :D

Took a bus together with a friend from Ipoh, which we departed at 12:45am.
Couldnt sleep all the way and was pretty excited to meet up with the gang and the puying Platonic was with on my first trip and second trip (this is my 3rd trip).
Finally reach MINI (ChangLung) at about 4:30am and gave a call to Cool69.
Apparently, they are not far from where Platonic was and invited to hop into the car. Spirits was high, as everyone can smell HDY closer and closer as we reach nearer and nearer. Mr Daijek, Mr Cool69 was the navigator and Mr CondomX was the backup navigator and Platonic is the passenger.
Finally after much sniffing from all parties, we finally found our way to HDY city and the hotel destination. We were staying in the new hotel New Season.
Apparently, this hotel is haunted and they actually made a thai movie out of this place, according to someone. Ask local thai's and they will tell you their version. Platonic heard from one that the "ghee" (ghost) come out from the aircond. How true, Platonic cant comment.
We took a light breakfast just opposite New Season while waiting for Daijek's friend "Thum". Soon later we were taken to see Wat Nathawie which is situated some where at Songkhla, for more details you may talk to Daijek. The meeting was good and worth the long trip cramp at the back seat. Hopefully from that event, all of our luck will be a fruitful one. After Wat Nathawie, Daijek turn extremely holy and wanted to visit another temple which is very deep in. Mind you that Daijek sure know's his way around temple's while CondomX is expert at locating "KFC farms".
After the ordeal, we where taken by Thum to visit a few farms. We been to Channivet and SKY. During that period we told Thum to drop us off at Channivet where we walk around while Daijek and Thum when to pick up Daijek's special delivery.
Walking under the hot sun here and there, all have pick their puyings while Platonic previous girl would be waiting at New Season Hotel. All are anxious and waited at their respective rooms. Finally, Platonic's puying came after a much patient wait. Very GFE hugging like we have not seen in 20 years.
After a few minutes off hugging and FK.
Later on, we (condomx, cool69, platonic) when to had Japanese food somewhere at the shopping complex in Lee Garden. All Platonic remember was the food keep coming in till the table was full and felt like a food tester consultant. Overall the food is good and the price is reasonable.
After lunch we when our own way.
Platonic & his puying both decided to go pamper themself. Platonic had a hair wash and a foot massage while she had a hair wash and curl her hair to look even more CFM. When back to the hotel, had a hot steamy session with lots of licking, patting, carressing involve. DATY her and gave her a good hammering. She is someone who IMO a very hygenic person. She brings Listerine, metal thingy to clean the tongue, hand cream, face cream, leg cream, so overall, she smells good. After the heavy work-out Platonic fell asleep and was awaken by, Daijek and Cool69 which is time for dinner.
During dinner time, we went to "saowei". We met up with Kaki and ********'s ***********. Platonic have personally met them both before.
The dinner looks good but Platonic's stomach cant fit in due to the heavy Japanese lunch and fresh abalone, thus half awake when woken up by Daijek & Cool69. They had fish,prawns,crab,tomyam,etc while Platonic is happily sipping on his sugar cane juice. Daijek ended up being the DBKL of the group having to clear up the leftovers. :)
After dinner, we all took the "tuk tuk" back to the hotel and get ready for drinking session at Kiss Channel. When back to the room, told puying that we are going to Kiss Channel which she reluctant to go and said she wanted to go Paragon. After much, friendly persuasion, we could not come to an understanding. I told her that I was only going to be with her for only for the day and that I am going to Kiss Channel whether she likes it or not. Her tears started to flow and flow and flow. I walk out the room and bump into Daijek and Cool69, related the incident to them. These puyings are great actors. Its a waste they couldnt go to Hollywood to act. When back to the room, she was already putting her makeup and getting dress with a very sour face. Platonic told her, if she is not happy she dont have to go and if her attitute continues this way she can just [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) off. She took all her belongings, Platonic paid her the money and she walk out. Looks like Platonic's going to sleep alone tonight. :(
LESSON LEARN: NEVER GET INVOLVE OR TOO CLOSE WITH A PUYING, IT WILL ALWAYS END BAD.
Platonic then when with CondomX which is waiting at the lobby. We when together to meet up with the rest at Kiss Channel. Got the table towards the stage which have a clear view off the sexy dancers. It made Platonic's nose bleed and pimple burst. (according to Daijek) :)
After Kiss Channel, the rest where to tired to carry on, Platonic, Kaki and another puying when to Emperor Disco. The place play mainly cantonese songs and more off a head swinger place. Platonic could not stand the atmosphere over there, left within 30-45minutes. Took a motorbike taxi back to the hotel. Its nice experience with the wind blowing towards your face. Feels fresh. Got the motorbike taxi to stop at 7Eleven, bought a pack off ciggarette and continue walking back to the hotel which is about 1km away. Got offers by Kataoey, but over my dead body Platonic would go. :)
Reach back to the hotel and feel asleep. Alone.

Unfortunately, haven't had much luck this few years. The quality of girls at the KFC in HDY has been on the decline. Lots of dinosaurs around the Chanivate and SKY area nowadays. The pretty and ugly ratio is about 1 : 15...very depressing.
Anway, i have tentatively confirmed my trip to HDY arriving on the 30/10/05...See you there if you can make it.

I beg to differ on your view about puying quality (first time we openly disagree on something), the ratio is just about 1:12.78 :D
Seriously, I see many nice looking gals when I was in CV on a good 11am morning. I think physical quality is not bad, really, but the girls service and attitude are pretty poor, and that can be like 1 in 5 puyings, SIGH. Mai Ben Rai, there is this one ML who is not for booking but she fancy me, me think, :D Too bad I may not be able to go there as soon. :(
Those bar girl and disco girl also very open for 'tea' with me, just my Thai is not up to mark, but bringing them back to room after a hearty meal is possible and yet risky, but I am a bit of a risk taker, even Daijek also said I am really lucky in my maiden trip. If only my business undertaking luck is just as good. :)

I agree that Thai girls are more open on sex and are willing to have sex with a new friend after a few outings..It might be because that we are foreigners in their country. Like the " Farang " over here with all the Sarong Party girls fawning all over them. Getting freeebies in Bangkok is easier if you are daring enough and if you visit regularly. Getting freebies in HDY is a little harder as it is generally a place where sex has been paid for all this time but not impossible if you are handsome and charismatic enough. Or whether your wallet is thick enough...hehe. Romance is bought too, right ?? with all the meals, presents, trip...etc. Haha, that's is the reason i do the short cut. PAY BONK. SLEEP....haha. No hassles and less headache.
I will need to really do an extensive tour on the SKY and Chanivate area if what you say is true. Another 2 weeks to go !!!

All those farms like Nok, Nong, Kawai, Sumitra, Suriya, Janny, Abbe and few more are all within 100 m from SK hotel. But in my case after I am more experience after 4 visits to LOS, I just ask motorsai to stop me at Soi 3 Sumitra Karaoke, and pay him the 15B, and say bye bye. Of course he will do his best to follow you to the Karaoke. I will just go my way and do my farm visit. No need to act.

Those Hotel at SKY seems alright. Neo-B, Hatyai palace also OK. Cheap also like 450-600B. Perhaps they are more out of city centre you can get some rooms? Also, try this Meridien hotel near to Emperor Hotel. Not bad actually, at about 510B.
Finally you can also rent those apartment (more like a room) which has aircon, ceiling fan and attached bathroom, prices are like 300-400B per day. Bed and closet provided, just no room service. I could PM you a number for that.
Of course prices during holiday should be higher, me think. Well, hope those help. :)

Saw lots of fisherman around the bar, and also few SC gals celebrating birthday.. Business must be very bad for them, cozz no mens around, only 5 lonely and pretty gals in their group. Arrived in the morning. It was raining on and off in this city. Checked into SGV. Had dim sum for breakfast at the shop near to Regency. It is already past ten in the morning, time to started the tour of the ladyhouses. Walk in, bell rings, ladies line up, listen to the pimp's sales talk. "Sorry boss, me no like" and walk out. I know I have to buy insurance (BTW, how much is that? ), may I know do I need to bring my original car registration card, or photostat copy will do?
I also heard when I pass by Thailand custom, I need to give RM 1 as token for every passport chopped, is that correct? Other than that, anything I need to watch out if I drive my car there? To your opinion, is it advisible to drive a car to Haatyai, is it safe to do that? : -)
Lastly, where to buy the hotel coupon in Haatyai? Oh, if you have any good, new and clean hotel to suggest, pls let me know too, preferable with basement (indoor) car park and near the town center.

Need to come over to Georgetown to get the van to Danok/Hatyai.
The main offices are, Pan Leisure located opposite Grand Continental hotel, Newsia located at ground floor Komtar and Swiss hotel located at Chulia street. There are many agents for these three groups, tickets may cost more than the usual RM22 if bought from these agents. Departure times are 5am, 8.30am, 12noon and 4pm daily.

There's also at least one taxistand in B'worth. Main target for them is HY, but I'm sure they will go anywhere near the Thai border if paid the correct amount.
Driving into Thailand you sure need to bring your original Car registration card. The driver and the car card must be same person, if the driver is differ name with the card, you need another letter (own written or typed letter will do) Stating the original owner allow the person drive the car into Thailand. The letter title is ( To Thailand Custom ) if you need sample, i can foward 1 to you..
Back to processing and dealing with Thailand custom.
1st: Stop at Changlun, give the driver passport and car card to them to fill up the form and buy insurance. He will give you a covernote and a insurance/roadtax sticker, stick it to your screen.
2nd: At Thailand check point, you need to deal car and passport seperately. Passport deal with imigration, yes, you need to pay 1RM thats a SOP, don't ask why. Car you deal with custom, The custom got 2 window, 1st window is the custom fill in your paticular data into computer and print out 2copy of the official Custom form, then proceed to next counter, ( just side by side all the 3 counter, Imigration, custom data, and custom verify) at the 2nd custom counter, give the officer the 2 copy, he will direct you to sign 2 signature in the form, then he take 1 and give you back 1. Done.. You re clear with all the process now.. drive in hatyai bonk like no tomolo and remember to write FR ok ...
Coming out important.
When you cum back to checkpoint, make sure you give the copy of custom form back to the custom counter, and the officer will ask you to sign on a big book with your registration number written on it. After that, you are clear of everything.
If you forgotten or never give back the copy of custom form when you go out, the Thai Custom data show you never drive your car back to Malaysia. And in future, your name will be banned from driving car into thailand.

Yes you can park your car at changloon the place where most of the van from pg to hadyai park for lunch b4 go to hatyai. You can park your car there free. Then you take taxi to border then to hatyai total rm40. No problem we always park there our can old one. If new car then don't do that. Along the road of Changlun, you'll saw lots of parking service on your left.
I never park at this parking lot before, so, i dunno how much they charge. If i'm not driving into thailand, i park my car at my fren house.. But i do saw lots of parking with proper fencing and roofed parking.
Please tell us the quality of Daimond hotel, after your stay.. As for rm90 a a day, you can stay Sakura GV or with free streamyx service New Season hotel.

Yon can drive all the way pass malaysia customs in Bukit kayu hitam. Have you malaysia passport stamped by malaysia customers and then about 50 meter away, turn left and park at the duty free area.
I reckon it cost 6 to 10 ringgit a night if my memory has not fail me, this parking is safe (I have done this many times) as it has barrier gates and is a proper parking area. No worries, worst scenario whole car missing and not only the tyre.....just joking. there will be plenty of taxi awaiting unless you arrive late at night. Pls note night taxi and van, a bit more expensive.
Other option as mention by daijek, you can also park at the coffee shops before the malaysia customs i.e HAddyai tour coffee shop ( couple of ringgit a day) and take a taxi (Rm10) pass malaysia customers then change to thai taxi in the duty free area to haddyai (Rm35-40).
Diamond is quite a nice hotel, newly renovated and one of my favourite. Try the porridge in their cafe, very nice.

Parking at the Border is no problem...covered car park is only rm 5.00 per day only...and you can take a taxi there too. Taxi should be rm 40.00 from Changlun into Hadyai town. The place is called MINI and it is situated at your left 5 minutes after you pass thorugh the Traffic Lights in Changlun town. You won't missed it cause you will see lots of buses stopping there. After MINI is another on called CTC but not many people park there.
Have been missing for a week or so...so here I am again. Hehe.
Taxi from Butterworth: Yes there is Taxi and I have taken before...costs about RM130 just to get to the border. It is a published rate so no matter which Taxi you take it is the same. While at Danuk, try to find the Tuk Tuk taxi, I think it costs only somehting like 50B per person.
BTW, do try to enter Danuk before 6pm else the taxi charges will be different.

I am going to Hat Yai then to Penang to get some Thai tourist visa. On a tight schedule this time and need to get to Penang on the same day. I arrive at Hat Yai airport about 4:30 PM from Bangkok. I wonder is there any mini van service to Penang directly from Hat Yai airport? If not I guess I have to go into Hat Yai town to catch the minibus or shared taxi, right? Do anyone know how late they still run and where to catch them. I guess when I get to Hat Yai town it will be 5:30 PM or so. Is this too late for transport to Penang?

You can catch a taxi from Hdy airport to Thai/ malaysia border. As soon as you pass thai border, there is a taxi stand where lot's of malaysia legal taxi for hire.

Departure times for minibus/van from Hatyai to Penang are 9.30am, 12.30pm and 3.30pm.
You can take them at Chao Vang Travel or New Chao Wang. Just tell the tuk-tuk driver, that you are getting the minibus/van to Penang, they will be able to take you to these pick-up points.
If later than the above times, you will need to hire a taxi yourself.

After taking a bath many choices left due to late arrival, I simply pick one from one of the KFC farm and asked her to come to my hotel in the evening. Later , I went to do foot massage at one of the road side shop at the town center. Actually I want to do a full body massage but don't know which one to go :-(
In the evening, the puying came, after doing one round, she complained not feeling well and wanted to go home, what the heck! This goes my 2500 bath. Since this was my first trip, i didn't know who should I complained to get back my money. I went to Haatyai alone (my friend pull out last minute) so i am afraid to go back to that KFC shop to ask for refund, I am afraid they will do something on me.
Due to heavy rain out there, I didn't have the mood to go to look for other chick, I just stayed in the hotel to watch the Chelsea vs Wigan game.
In summary, not a good trip to me. I am looking forward to my next trip, hope it will turn out to be a good one.

Agreed with Bro Daijek. Superstar, you should go to back to the KFC and asked for replacement.
Just to share my story. Few months aga, I had book a girl (2000baht) from Sim Kim Yong at about 1pm local time. Then bring her back straight to hotel to have bath together and managed to have one round
After the session, I straight ask her to go back as she not allows me to fully touch her spotlights. Then, I went back to the KFC and complaint the girl. The OKT ask me to choose for replacement. I am not able to pick up anyone from around 10 girls and ask for refund. After a while, the OKT agreed to refund me 1000baht (OKT say I should pay 1000baht for one round)
[I don’t want to pick up any girl also because my so called "Darling" keep on calling me . (I went to look for other puying as we had quarrel at the morning .)]
Superstar, you should go back to the shop, and ask for replacement. If the choice is not what you want you should be able to get refund. I think you should get back 1500baht for your case.
I think most of the OKT and mamasan are very friendly and they wont do anything that will affect their business. Next time if your puying try to take any excuse to go back, just tell her you will call her OKT or mamasan . I think the puying will stay. Hope you will enjoy your next trip.

The hotel just 2min or less, walking distance to Lee garden.
I don't like to stay this hotel, as the room is small, safebox on the floor, the wardrobe is not proper, switch under the table, unlike those standard hotel, all the switch in 1 spot control.. TV channel are less.

I was at Danuk two weeks ago. Well. Pretty happening place and worth an overnight's venture. Thai chicks were quite plentiful and quite frankly the stocks are quite yummy. Come at night, and the party starts. With many FL around.
Stayed at Oscar Hotel along the main road and the tried the oil massage. From head to toe with a explosive finale. All done by the a pretty 26 year old puying. No. 21. (sifu. Yeah young to be the sifu) I think the massage girls are available for a ST at your rooms as my massage puying offered for a private session in my room. Didn't take up the offer. Thot can check out more mah!
Anyway, there are many farms on both sides of the road. And don't worry. Every farm houses are eyeing on you whether you may look like Brad Pitt or Danny Devito. Take your time until one meets the pleasure of your eye. Price ranges from 1600 bht - 3k bht. Depending on quality
There are a few night places on the left side of the main road. And some strip teasing. Like those in Joker (betong) but didn't manage to go this time. Had a nightmare experience with a FL (from Spyder) in Danuk last year who insisted on bare. So no going near there. For now! But you can obviously try!
Anyway, check it out at Danuk for a change like I did. Will definitely look forward to the oil massage with No. 21 again in Jan 06, and Hatyai!

I've been here since 7 week's in a row and never failed.But the just want to share that last week i severe a hungry flood in Sadao.The water level reached 3 1/4 of my sport rims and a 60 meter distance of the hungry flood.That's what had happened last week.
Once again the flood covered half of the Hadyai area.All the fun and happening turns sore and saw some of the Malaysian car stuck in the flooding area.So to all of you guy's that plan to drive in,maybe you might need to think twice or park your car at the border.So happy mongering from all of you in the end season of 2005.

At least seven more people have drowned in floods in southern Thailand, mostly in Songkhla province, according to reports. Authorities declared Hat Yai district, the largest city in the South, as a disaster-zone.
In all, at least 21 deaths were caused by heavy rains and floods in the South since late November, unofficial figures showed.
Officials said heavy downpours resumed again in Hat Yai and other nearby districts in Songkhla province after midnight and worsened when flash floods from a mountain in Hat Yai overflowed into the district seat along with the water runoff from neighbouring Sadao district and floodwaters from the swollen U-Tapao canal.
Evacuations occurred across Songkhla province. More were expected as the waters continued to rise, according to officials at the Songkhla province Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Centre. At least 40,000 people were ill across nine southern provinces, most of them with influenza, the Public Health Ministry said, adding it had sent 1000 mobile medical units and 100,000 medicine kits to the affected provinces.
Some 200 soldiers from an army camp on the outskirts of Hat Yai were erecting over 100,000 sandbags to reinforce parts of the U-Tapao canal to prevent floodwater from flowing into the district, even as some roads were already 30-50cm under water.
In Yala province, the situation was not better as one woman drowned and another was still missing. Flood at the provincial seat was as high as one metre and even medical emergency vehicles were unable to pass through with doctors and other emergency workers sent out to assist flood victims.
Yala Governor Boonyasit Suwannarat -- after an emergency meeting -- said that water pumps were now operating at full capacity.
Two army helicopters were seen delivering necessities to flood victims while squads of soldiers were repairing public utilities, attempting to restore services.
Governor Boonyasit said flood victims in his province were badly in need of food and drinking water -- that he requested two million bottles of drinking water and 40 tonnes of rice from the Fourth Army Region and the Interior Ministry. He also asked for medicines from the Public Health Ministry.
Buses operate by the state-run Transport Company have temporarily suspended service between Bangkok-Pattani-Sungai Golok as floodwaters between Nong Jik district in Pattani are now as high as 1.50 metres and roads are impassible.
In the latest development, the State Railway of Thailand announced that train services from Bangkok could go as far as Hat Yai only, that it is impossible to journey to Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Train services etween Hat Yai-Padang Besar and between Sungai Golok-Narathiwat are now temporarily suspended as rail tracks are now under floodwater.

Although two year's back happened the same mother nature disaster,but this time making the phenomenon not safe there.According to the informer the water lavel keep on raising up to deep depth and some of the vehicle stuck mostly everywhere including live's gone.I'm supposed to plan a trip there but due to this terror,i'm totally will take more safety journey and stay under one roof.Hope it can get well by these two three day's even still in monsun season.

The last one I was there a month after and the shocking 10 feet high markings of the water levels. Just amazing that it is happening again....hope everyone is safe.

Last Friday, my colleague & I made a day trip to Betong after my customer visit in Baling. It was our first time to Thailand I didnt spend much time in Betong as I only entered the border at 3:30pm and I had to be out by 6:30pm as the Betong border there closed at 7pm. This trip was purely a surveying trip.
I parked my car at the border. They charged me RM4 for parking (half day) my car. If overnight, it will be RM10 per day. I took a Malaysian cab and he drove me all the way pass Malaysian border and into Thai border (RM8). From the Thai border, I took another cab ride into Betong town (RM12).
Me & my colleague had no idea of what to do, so we told the cab driver to drop us off at a hotel and next thing I knew was we reached Merlin Hotel. We survey the rate at the hotel and it was RM70 but we did get a room as we plan to leave in a few hours time. We checked out the massage center in the hotel and the girls were not attractive at all. All of them are way below average and I mean old & plump. After survey the rate and the massage center survey, we walk outside the hotel and noticed a row of karaokes. We didnt stop by as we were not interested in karaoke. We proceed for our late lunch and the food was great.
Next thing, we jumped onto a toot toot and told him in hokien that we wanted to go see "char bor". He took us there and we had to pass a tunnel. The KFC farming area was nearby to a hotel called Grand View Hotel. We didnt have much time left so we proceeded quickly to visit the "farms". It was already 4:30pm by the time we get there and there were not many "stocks" left. Besides, the stocks are not so good may be bcoz we were late. There were all at between RM180-RM200. However, one of the shop has one very pretty gal but her price was RM350. There were many rows of shop lots there and mostly were KFC shops. After KFC farm survey, we walk to Grand View Hotel to survey the hotel rate, we found out that it was RM50++.
After that, we proceeded to head home.
Aftermath: I will plan an actual trip there very soon. Either I will do it during xmas or during NewYear (1/1/2006). I will stay in Grand View Hotel as the hotel was surrounded by KFC farm. I can just walk instead of taking the toot toot. According the one of the OKT, he told me next time to start my search at the farms as early as 9am to make sure I get good stock. OKT said that the stock will start coming in as early as 8am.

Too risky if you are drivin' up.Saw some malaysian car towed to the border because can't cross the Sadao area.Pity with their luck.But the water level keep on increasing in our northern area specialy Perlis and near the border side (Just read the new's today).

My friend just drove up from Ipoh to Hatyai yesterday and he was alright. Accordingly, some parts of the highways in Malaysia was flooded so he had to use the smaller roads. Buses from Singapore and Malaysia all arrived in Hatyai safe and sound.
So I guess its OK as the flood has generally receded.

Hi Guys, I'm new here but just like to add my 2 baht worth since I live in Hatyai.
The flood that has been causing turmoil the past few days has actually receded in and around Hatyai City.
Although it has been raining for the past couple of days (even now as I post), visitors to Hatyai should have no worries coming. The road access from Singapore and Malaysia is OK with travelers coming in safely. So are the roads from Bangkok.
I have checked the road from the Airport to the City, there are some small puddles or water logs along the way but even the motorcyles will have no problems whatsoever.
Inside the city itself, there was only one day of flood at ankle depth (not like where I live - knee depth in my house), and it was drained the following day. The city has also been cleaned up and all is well inside.
Outside the city area along Raj Uthit Road (also called Ketpet) where water level was chest depth, the water has already receded, most shops opened yesterday and the authorities have also sent in the army to help clear whatever debrises the flood caused. Electrcity and water is back to normal, so there's no problems going to Thalay Thai Seafood, Hansa Cafe, Paragon Disco and even Log Terrace which is by the river (has dinner there last night).
If you need any specific information, just ask and I'll try my best to provide you the answers.

This is my brief report on my first haatyai trip. Overall, it was not a good experience and for my one night stay there, I just managed to have one shot with one of the puying from one of the Sim Kim Yong's KFC farm
Here is the story, thanks to all the kind info from all the bros here about the transportation questions I have. at last I didn't drive my car to Haatyai, instead, I parked it at the duty free complex after the Msia custom complex. It was RM 12 per day. From there i took a so call Thai Taxi to Hatyai (RM 35). I stayed at Diamond hotel, hotel is OK and very near to town center.
I reached there at 2 pm, it was a heavy rain (actually it was raining throughout my whole stay in Hatyai, very inconvenience). After taking a bath many choices left due to late arrival, I simply pick one from one of the KFC farm and asked her to come to my hotel in the evening. Later , I went to do foot massage at one of the road side shop at the town center. Actually I want to do a full body massage but don't know which one to go :-(
In the evening, the puying came, after doing one round, she complained not feeling well and wanted to go home, what the heck! This goes my 2500 bath. Since this was my first trip, i didn't know who should I complained to get back my money. I went to Haatyai alone (my friend pull out last minute) so i am afraid to go back to that KFC shop to ask for refund, I am afraid they will do something on me.
Due to heavy rain out there, I didn't have the mood to go to look for other chick, I just stayed in the hotel to watch the Chelsea vs Wigan game.
In summary, not a good trip to me. I am looking forward to my next trip, hope it will turn out to be a good one.Hello Superstar,
Sad to hear of your unfortunate experience in Hatyai.
At 2pm, many of the farms are still opened as they normally closed around 7pm to 8pm. Other than See Kim Yong which has about 10 farms, there's also Channivate which has more than 20 farms. Also there are some stand alone farms like OK Karaoke (formerly known as Wonderful), etc, etc.
I think the girl took advantage of you thinking you are a newbie. You can actually complained to the farm and no, nothing will happen to you. What will normally happen is that they will refund you part of your money since you already did one shot. Or ask you to top up for another girl.
You could have watch the Chelsea - Wigan game at Kiss Channel where there is a large screen but of course the sound will be covered up by the singing and music. But a night in Hatyai will be a bit too short.
Hope your future experience will be better.

No, there is no van service directly from Hatyai airport to Penang.
Departure times for minibus/van from Hatyai to Penang are 9.30am, 12.30pm and 3.30pm.
You can take them at Chao Vang Travel or New Chao Wang. Just tell the tuk-tuk driver, that you are getting the minibus/van to Penang, they will be able to take you to these pick-up points.
If later than the above times, you will need to hire a taxi yourself.I know its a little late but allow me to correct this information a little bit for the benefit of future members who might need to use this service.
Yes, you can arrange for the van service to pick you up from the airport if your arrival time meets the van's timing.
The Departure time for the vans is correct and you can book it from ANY travel agent closest to you. Just informed the travel agents where to pick you up, for example at your hotel, get the van number, and be there about 5 minutes before the time. Make sure you have the Travel agent's phone number to call him if the van has not arrived within 10mins.
The van may be up to half an hour late as it will go round to pick up all the passengers at different parts of Hatyai.

Thank youI a regular visitor to Hadyai so far this is what I've experienced :-
a) The farms in Hatyai open as early as 9am. 2 popular places where at least 20 or more farms are located :-
1) Chanivitte
2) See Kim Yong
b) When you visit both places, wait until the tuk tuk leaves or if they keep pestering you, go on to view the farms but do not pick any girls, ask for the namecards and call the farms to book the girls when u get back to the hotel. Otherwise you will be charged 500THB more as their commission. The standard rate for LT is 1500-2000THB at the farms during off peak seasons and increase by 500THB during peak seasons (where many visitors come).
c) Garden Home is where Kiss Lounge is located. As the name suggests it is a lounge but more towards the high class type. before 12am the prices are about 2500-3500thb and after 12 about 500thb cheaper for LT (the girls stay till 7-8am)
d) Depends on your budget, there are many to choose from and most are girl friendly. Popular budget hotel is MErlin at approx 450THB a night.

Basically, Pink Lady has 2 categories of girls at 1300 Baht and 1700 Baht (or 1600, can't remember) where those at 1700 Baht also provides soapy body massage and those at 1300 Baht provides turkish bath. Presently, there's no more "model category" in Pink Lady.
The other MP is Chaopayao 4 which provides turkish bath at 1,200 baht, 1400 baht, 1600 baht and 1800 baht. They also have model categorary at 2000 - 2500 baht.
There are some smaller MPs with fewer choices but turkish bath is from 500 to 1000 baht.

Danuk has a "wilder" nightlife (or even daylife) than Hatyai but it is a very risky place if you are going without anyone you know. It doesn't matter what information you can get about the places as basically ALL farms there will try to "slaughter" you unless you go with someone who has been there.
If you are unlucky, you will experience booking girls from farms and yet the girl don't turn up and OKT don't even care. Or you will experience paying high tips to girls in agogo as they are VERY good at pressuring you into it.
Have to admit, girls in Danuk are generally younger with many below 20 (which is illegal, that's why they are not in Hatyai), but girls here are also fiercer.
So try to go with someone who is experience there as seriously, the people there can "smell" a newbie.
As for Hatyai, it is more relax and laid back and there are no agogo bars here.
As in my earlier posts, there are about 10 farms in See Kim Yong, 20 over farms in Channivate plus a list of other stand-alone farms. Also in Niphat Uthit 1, Soi 2. Good or not, depends on your taste.
There is no fixed price for pussies as what many people has always claimed. If the OKT can make more, he will surely try to do so. So, anyway for price range, other than Niphat Uthit 1 Soi 2 where girls are from 1000 - 1500 Baht (but IMHO, all CMI for very older man), the farms in the other areas will charge from 1500 to 2500 baht. By the way, the price is from the time you book the girl to the next morning.
For Garden Home hotel, the place is called Kiss Lounge. Girls price at 1800 Baht and 2500 Baht plus barfine of 150 Baht per hour, max at 6 hours (900 Baht). Which means to say, if you book the girl at 7.30pm opening time, you will need to pay 3400 Baht for the higher price girls.
Girls here are generally better dressed than those in the farms. That's all.
As for Hotel to stay, it depends on your budget. Hatyai has more than 100 hotels/guest houses price range from 200 baht (no aircon) to 1200 Baht.
Actually I have a website which has the information to the hotels, travel agents, eating places, entertainment places and also, more importantly, the farms with the contact number of the OKTs but I don't know whether Admin will consider me as spamming if I post the URL for you to get the info.

What I am implying is that girls from Hatyai prefers New Season Hotel compared to other hotels now.
I noticed that if a guy tells the WL he book that he's staying in New Season, she will always say it is a good choice. Even guys who didn't stay at New Season when ask their girls, the girls also recommend New season.
Don't really know the reason, but the girls just love this hotel.

Some ppeople also find Novotel troublesome because girls which you booked have to hand in their IC to the security guards and get it back when they go out. This is a good security feature to ensure the girl didn't steal your belongings and "escape" but some girls don't have IC for various reasons.
I need to know your budget in order to recommend you some hotels and also your specs of "comfortable".

I am planning a trip to Hat Yai on the 6th, 7th and 8th of Jan 2006 (3 days 2 nights). I will be going with a few friends.

Thank you very much for your guide described below. I have something around 2.5K (RM) to spend over three or four days depending my holiday moods. I need a clean room and nearer to town areas & quality meat(not over priced) to fullfill my 'spec'.
You know, last year I've was there for a short trip (2 nights) with sour experiences. I had booked girls from Channivet( I think it was Jenny Karaoke -2000 bhts ) which ended up washing her vomits. It kind of very annoying when first I couldnt gets my mission accomplished and secondly the entire toilet smells disgusting. Happen that I was having my dinner at restaurant which located lower ground of Kiss lounge ( If i could recalls correctly).
Noticed that their have very good range of meat selections from outside. Honestly, never check it out inner space of Kiss Lounge.

Actually New Season ia just at the fringe of the "action" area. I think if it is parked on the side that is towards Golden Crown Hotel, it should be safe. unless both these hotels also have major New Year Celebrations.

Basically, Pink Lady has 2 categories of girls at 1300 Baht and 1700 Baht (or 1600, can't remember) where those at 1700 Baht also provides soapy body massage and those at 1300 Baht provides turkish bath. Presently, there's no more "model category" in Pink Lady.
The other MP is Chaopayao 4 which provides turkish bath at 1,200 baht, 1400 baht, 1600 baht and 1800 baht. They also have model categorary at 2000 - 2500 baht.
There are some smaller MPs with fewer choices but turkish bath is from 500 to 1000 baht.
Need a bit more information.

Actually, being a samster is only part time for me as I am only able to visit relatives in Sgn maybe once every 1-2 years from my locations here in North America ,due to expensive travelling and long tiring flights, therefore not too many chances visiting Asia. Thats why I try to get as much detail info on LOS and Sgn as possible before leaving so not to waste too much time and money looking for places of interest(and at a budget, of course)--as my time after arrival there is very limited also(usually 1-2 weeks)-and this includes time trying to sneak away from relatives.
BTW: many thanks for your private message on Nancy MP recommendation--info spot on when I went in Nov, had a good time there after leaving Sgn relatives.

1. 10,000B is enough for possibly the following action:
- Puying (girls) booking for 2 night = 4000B
- Room for 2 nights = 1500B
- 2 massages = 500B
- Soupy Bath or Night party = 2000B
- Food and TukTuk (for you and the gal)= 2000B
2. Some Clean nice hotels
800-900B: Sakura Grand View, New Season. Both have in room safe, which is very useful.
650 - 800B: Regency Old Wing, Pink Hotel. No in room safe.
Very Near See Kim Yoong Farm area: Neo-Boutique, Hatyai Palace, Hotyai Merlin. These hotels also near Thung Sao area.
Near Channivet and the railway farm area: Sakura Grand View, Florida Hotel.
My suggestion, better contact Bro ***********, he is very helpful to newbies going there. Just buy him dinner and 1 coffee. Kekekekekeke. Seriously, you guys should contact him for assistance while there. He will bring you guys to do farm visit and night spots. By the way, he is definitely not a Thai, speaks languages other than English and Thai and he knows 'people' there.

Thung Sao: This is an area which lies between Chanivet and SKY, well, in a way. It is somewhere behind the Diana Dept Store not far from Chanivet. Price range is same as above
More Farms: If you go westward, cross the railway, then there are some farms located along Raj Uthit Road. Walk from Soi 1 till Soi 18 to explore. Price range is 1200-2000. Kekekeke.

I think Bro Kaki has given you a good guide but I suggest you bring along your ATM (make sure has "plu" or "cirrus") or Credit Card, just in case you kenna the tirak trap and fall in love with a Thai girl. :D
I would recommend Ne-O Botique hotel, the newest hotel in Hatyai. Rooms small but enough and well furnished. Price with voucher is 600 Baht. Walking distance to KFC. If you want cheaper, than Hatyai Palace at 500 Baht or Hatyai Merlin at 400 Baht. OK rooms also in KFC area. Note that not very much hotels have room safe, but available at hotel lobby.
Finally, I will be in Hatyai and will assist if you need me. My experience is limited lah... cheonging Hatyai for the past 20 years, coming to Hatyai on a monthly basis for the last 6 years, and staying her for the last 2 years. Hope my credentials is enough. :D

Thank you very much for your guide described below. I have something around 2.5K (RM) to spend over three or four days depending my holiday moods. I need a clean room and nearer to town areas & quality meat(not over priced) to fullfill my 'spec'.

As for hotels, there are a range of good hotels in and around town.. to name a few Regency New Wing at 950 Baht, Lee Garden Plaza Hotel at 1,050 Baht, Novotel Hotel at 1200 Baht, BP Grand at 700 Baht. This are hotels with swimming pools so have a minimum standard.
There's also New Season Hotel at 850 Baht, Diamond Hotel at 800 Baht, Grand Plaza at 680 Baht to name a few.
The hotels may be old as they have been around long and new hotels are a little further away, like New Season Hotel.
As for meat, one man's meat is another man's poison. So it's difficult to say which girl is suitable for you. But generally, Channivet girls which are younger girls as compared to other areas like See Kim yong, are more "playful" girls in that they prefer trance music at discos, expects to "control" you, etc and also more "hard to handle".

Nice decor but not happening. I doubt the business will be different even after the renovation and name change. It is smack right in the midst of 3, 4 nice band-playing pubs, and its previous marketing model is very poor. Still, walk up (it is on the first floor) to this 'new' place to check it out, and if you do not like it, other pubs, lounges or discos are just 50 metres away, or 20B away.

Good band, good musics, good decor. Try go there with a full stomach cause the food is pricey for HDY standard. However, the place is very good if you want to unwind with your friends, sharing good stories, sipping wine and downing some Singha accompany by good music coming from the band. The decor gives you a kind of lazy feeling and the band can play English songs from the 60's to the 90's, and in pretty decent English too!
The PUBB:
Just about 100 paces from West Side, this place is more happening than the other 3 pubs located along this stretch of Thamnoonvithi Road. At least the crowd looks like it. On any given day, this place usually gets more crowd than the other 3, and the hostesses sitting outside, in my opinion, are also the prettiest. This place has a neo-modern decor, good band playing more contemporary music, and the crowd seems younger too. Great place to hang out after a nice meal, or, to check out the hostesses. And since it closes at 1am, you can still ask these after-work hostesses out to Paragon which closes at 2am. Hehehe.

Your budget is more than enough to give you a good time.
As for hotels, there are a range of good hotels in and around town.. to name a few Regency New Wing at 950 Baht, Lee Garden Plaza Hotel at 1,050 Baht, Novotel Hotel at 1200 Baht, BP Grand at 700 Baht. This are hotels with swimming pools so have a minimum standard.
There's also New Season Hotel at 850 Baht, Diamond Hotel at 800 Baht, Grand Plaza at 680 Baht to name a few.
The hotels may be old as they have been around long and new hotels are a little further away, like New Season Hotel.
As for meat, one man's meat is another man's poison. So it's difficult to say which girl is suitable for you. But generally, Channivet girls which are younger girls as compared to other areas like See Kim yong, are more "playful" girls in that they prefer trance music at discos, expects to "control" you, etc and also more "hard to handle".
Kiss lounge girls, I have already described including price. Similar girls to Kiss Lounge are the Karaokes like Piano, Porches, etc. Price also around 3500 Baht.

Say you are in your 50's then you may not like those pill-popping disco, although I have seen men in 50's gyrating, hopping to the techno music. E-hem, no offense really. By the way, did I say the singers/dancers will go back to your room for a price? If so, a point to correct. Singers/dancers depends on your ability to "sian" them. Have heard of guys taking them but so far no one was able to give concrete evidence. But guys sianing them, that I ahve seen. Anyway, its perspective. Sianing also cost money and it could also be seen as "booking" to osme. Do note, Kiss Channel is different from Kiss Lounge. Kiss Lounge girls are for booking.
The Pubb also has free wifi, so if you want to go early and suft abit on your laptop while having a drink or food, its a good place.

Can't remember which floor it is, the swimming pool in Novotel Hotel as I've there, also to the pool at Regency, Lee Garden Plaza and BP Grand. I guess it is convenient for house guest to use the pool just like any hotels that had pools. But there is a limit to the number of guests that they allow you to bring to the pool. Can't remember how many, but anything above that is 200 Baht per person.
There are no fixed timings for tuk tuk to operate. Some may be operating until early morning hours, some may not. Its up to them. Nonetheless, around popular hotels, there will always be some tuk tuk parked there waiting for the hotel guests. These tuk tuk normally charge a little higher especially late in the night. Anyway, if the action areas are still opened, tuk tuks will still be operating.
As for nice hawker food, need to know exactly what type of food you like.

Whenever and wherever there is money to be made, the tuk-tuk will be there. When you are done with your drinking and dancing at the night spot, too drunk to walk back to your sweet hotel bed? Do not fret. Just hop on any of the unique "taxis" waiting outside. Just make sure you have your 20B fare ready. Oopps, that should be 40B...hehe, 20B for yours, and well, another 20B for your puying.

OK, so you are done with the drinking but you want to fill up that hollow tummies of yours and the puying before sleeping. (Sleep? Just joking, :D ) There are not many places for that late night snack after 2am, but if you are staying somewhere near Lea Garden Shopping Complex, ask you tuk-tuk to drop you off in front of Grand Plaza Hotel, and there are still plenty of hawkers ready to serve you: Duck Soup Noodle, Pork Porridge, Thai Soup Noodles, Sweet Soup and more. Other option? Get your instant noodle at the nearby 7-11.
