I can understand your feelings mate. This shit happened to me also a few years back. I lost a GEM of a girl because of that. Before I go mongering and asking others for the contacts, I thought I should share some of my experience here. I do not take risk of outcall or lodge but I often hunt for MPs.
I moved to Pune 3 years ago and before that I was unsuccessfully with mongering in Chennai. Not having many contacts in the new place like Pune, I relied on TOI ads for MP contacts. After making lot of calls to MPs I settled for the one in NIBM area because I know that area well. I visited the same place 4 times later.
First Visit:
NIBM MP. Went there as directed on call. It was a dark and gloomy place. No one will believe it was a MP, looked like a brothel. Girl at desk asked for 500 bucks upfront payment for massage. (Considering my Goa experience, I thought it was cheap). She took me to a Room / Cubical. No AC just a table fan and bed. She showed 5 girls, most of them were chubby, dark and desi looking.

I am from Delhi so I can say that Yes!! Delhi is much more cheaper with good variety. In fact few of the girls that the SPs in Pune provide are from Delhi and there is marked difference in rates. But no point in visiting Delhi alone for mongering. If it's a stop over, it's great especially if you take a flight. The scene in MPR near the airport is great with a wide variety of hotels, SPs and of course girls. Do pm me if when you plan to visit.

I called AXXA spa in V Nagar, who have groupon coupon; they told me they will give better massage service if I don't come via coupon. So, if you want to go only for pure massage experience, you could try; however, if you are hoping extras, then go for direct payment.
