Lets face it friends that in an unreasonably low price you are bound to be cheated. I had two horrible experiences. Anyone quotes you a price of less than Rs 1000 that means you can expect to be cheated. In the first instance I picked up this very sexy looking dame for Rs 300 from near Ionex theatre on Bund graden road. When I got her home I discovered that it was an eununch. As stated and my previous post, contacted the fellow who had given me his number. He asked me to come near swargate. Asked me to wait and then made a few calls to his contacts who told him to wait. After having spent lot of time and money finally I found one MP which gives BBBJ and FS for a reasonable price (by Pune standards). THis is not far from Fatima Nagar.

If you go to XXXXXXXX first time negotiate a lot. It so happened I ended up paying 7-8k at times. But later on I was that same model was rotated into regular and hifi section.
There after I stick to 5K and it kindda worked. But XXXXXXXX is gone for dogs. Service is getting bad, options are getting worst and prices are going up.
Not being a regular person to XXXXXXXX, had been there couple of times to ground floor. Rooms are good, but it was too costly, again minimum 7k.

You can get good options there. Just be sure to negotiate. They are quoting high saying its hifi but in a whole it a pool, they just keep saying this lot is hifi and this is so so.

I thought of sharing something with you all that I observed in the recent past.
(1) Budhwar Peth
(a) While you are going towards Deccan Gymkhana (I. E. Following one way traffic), the area to the right of the Laxmi Road:
The "offering" in area appears to have changed. It seems to be filled up by girls from a particular area/region. I am not able to make out where they are from (though somehow I have a feeling that they are NE). One common thing in them is very big breasts. All other earlier girls seem to have disappeared.
Now be careful here. You are likely to take them due to their looks and low charges. When you are in lanes, the "aunty" will lure you (actually they apply kind of force) to see options available. Once you are in their room (whether by choice or by force), it is almost certain that your all money will be taken by force. I escaped such an incident as my sixth sense alarmed me.
Be extremely careful and do not get on to those girls. The rest girls are really not worth taking. In other words, avoid this side of the road.
(I remember having read a similar experience in Mumbai (Bombay) forum about Foras road. Can there be some corelation?)

(a) While you are going towards Deccan Gymkhana (I. E. Following one way traffic), the area to the right of the Laxmi Road:
The "offering" in area appears to have changed. It seems to be filled up by girls from a particular area/region. I am not able to make out where they are from (though somehow I have a feeling that they are NE). One common thing in them is very big breasts. All other earlier girls seem to have disappeared.

During my short stay in Pune, I visited the following massage parlous by calling them from number in TOI.
Dev's clinic in Koregoan park, It is is small place with 2-3 girls, but business is strictly massage. You need to wear their thin red short. Unfortunately the A***h (ahead of sp***r college) MP was shut about a month ago. Reasons unknown. I have been there twice during normal hours only find the door locked, which is quite unusual. The owner's number that I have is also not reachable since then. I do not know if it is temporary, but it seems unlikely since they have also stopped publishing in the local papers for a long time.
If you are talking about the A***h MP near Pa***ar Chowk, sorry my friend, it was closed almost a year ago, after a raid and several complaints from local residents.

Because I have been occupied at work (and of course lots of fun) I have not responded to the chain or notes about the location and name of the hotel my report implied. From the advice and guidance that I received from one of your very senior mongers when I was heading to Pune (and reading the reports by senior members like Santa3, Mirza, Linguist and others), I noted a few key factors they told me to remember:
1. Read the reports for the city you are exploring thoroughly. Separate the riff-raff reports from those that provide valuable clues. Explore those clues, but do it with care and with importance to your own safety.
2. When approaching what appears to be the "exact" place that the report may have implied do not ask directly for the whole bells and whistles in mongering. Establishments do not know you at all and they may suspect that you are a cop. Take it step by step, going there a few times and building rapport. Of course if you were given a direct contact and the reference of someone that the contact would know, then you would be able to get into the action more easily.
3. Even if you find the name of a girl stated in a report, remember that the names and numbers of providers change more often than one's under clothing. If there is line up of girls on offer ask for the name after you see one that you like and then recall if that is the name that was recommended. Otherwise they will just offer you a girl that they choose and say that it is her name.
4. Most importantly, as we all should know, YMMV. How a provider, hotel fellow or girl reacts to you will depend to a great deal about the kind of person they "see" and the attitude we display. Experienced providers know a newbie from an old timer, regardless of the person's age. So, the fact that you were turned down or refused the service you went for, it does not mean that the one who went there before and reported about it here on ISG did not get served as reported.
5. Lastly, share details privately, especially with newcomers with very little track record. You want to preserve the availability of the provider and also the relationship you have. Often, fellows just use the details to keep calling and not do anything else, and which as Mirza says is just for "time pass". The advice I was given is that provide just enough clues for a good monger to find the action. If you are quoting a newspaper advt, you could refer to the advt specifically because it is public information anyway.

Not sure how all this works with these touts. Thankfully I have the sheet from the Pune Mirror that I had removed from the paper lying in the heap at the hair cutting place. The ad appears in the extreme right column on page 38 of Thursday June 17, 2010 and is the third from the bottom. You can go to Times ePaper and search by date in Pune Mirror. The last four digits are 4654. This is as specific as one can get with details, you will agree. I am not going to be very popular here with the asterisk users.
When you call the fellows they ask you to come to some place that is familiar to you and that may be why I was asked to come to Cafe Coffee Day. Someone asked me today how hard I had to work to meet with the Lepcha girl from Sikkim. Well.. I do not know if you are a frequenter to BP. But there have been many instances where money is taken off, especially while you are in action.
My suggestion therefore is to be careful, not only in the BP but also while writing the report so that the new ones there do not lose money. While saying this I am not contradicting or challening your experience that your money was returned.
The keys at BP are: (i) do not carry money than needed; (ii) respect your instincts on the intents of girl/mamasan.

Oh ! Good to here that she's a true BPO girl. Again a great effort by u to check her out in the same flat. I was told that KP guest house is closed and they shifted to Kaly Ngr. (All 3 guys told me the same story and one guy took me to the guest house to drop a girl when i was with her in their car).

There are many places along the Bangalore Highway near Amrut, and some boutique lodges in Aundh / Sangavi areas where you can get a decent room for less than 1K per day. Go there together, finish your work then check-out saying you had a call to go elsewhere. I am considering going to Pune on a medical tourism thing and may decide to stay for a longer period of time.
I know little about India, so can anyone answer these questions for me?
How easy is it to rent a furnished studio or similar apartment there with fridge, air cond. and stove and what is the approx cost per month?
How easy is it to find a g/f or freelancer and what percentage of women speak rudimentary English? What's the typical cost to me for such an arrangement, assuming I'm not a bad looking guy in his 50's.
Are there any good hospitals or medical facilities there, equivalent to western standards?

At the agreed time I went to the apartment, after signing the guest register at the gate as she had instructed me to do. When she opened the door the smell of the pest-control treatment was strong and she had her face wrapped with a scarf (as lots of women in Pune seem to do these days). She was just as glad to get away as I was. Being lunchtime we both had a meal at the Blue Diamond hotel near by, and during that time I got to know the gorgeous woman sitting across from me. She told me a lot about herself, asked me about my own life and we shared a lot of things openly, with fluency of the language being the only thing that slowed me down a little, which she understood. She is smart, she is knowledgeable and she is very well-read. In fact it was getting to a point that I was even hesitant to hint at anything more than just spending an afternoon in good company, though I had told her that I wanted her to visit my home, which is a serviced apartments hotel in the western part of Pune. So off we went, ploughing through chaotic traffic exacerbated with the various floats carrying huge Ganesha idols to the immersion locations. She directed me to take the road through the BEG area to Holkar Bridge and then to the road past Spicer College. That was a lot better.
When we got to my place, I asked her if she wanted to have a shower to get rid of the insecticide smells to which she readily agreed. She declined my brazen offer to scrub her properly or to share the shower space with her. After she came out I had my own shower. When I came out I was instantly aroused to see her lying on the bed covered with just the sheet. I put out my arms to give her a hug and that image - when she rose gracefully, completely naked, displaying superb complexion and a wonderfully maintained body - was simply priceless to watch. The rest of the time we spent at my place just evolved as two adults explored just about everything two people could share. Two hours an a bit went by in a manner that I had never experienced before. Before she got ready I told her that I really wanted to see her all the time, and she reluctantly agreed to let me take pictures, provided I do not share them with others in a way that would compromise her identity. And would definitely loot you of your money, these two ladies grabbed me by the hand and wouldn't let me go. Right there in broad daylight. LOL. And were just lookin for a opp to con the shit out of you. And if someone falls for that they deserve to learn their lesson. But the other side of the road. The postoffice side. Is extremely safe. Especially wherever there is a chinki mamasan. Of that I can assure you.

thank you for the warning, mirza. interestingly, some of the shops selling the so-called "foreign liquor", as hard drinks like whisky and vodka are classified in maharashtra, offer one-year permits that they have pre-stamped and dated ready to go, with only your name to be written. they charge a hundred rupees. it saves the trip to the state's excise office.
beer belly, being a foreign national you must always have a liquor permit. as you right mentioned, its rarely enforced, i would rather say every law in india is "very rarely enforced" or " its hardly enforced" or at times "enforced toughly beyond your imagination"

i have used some of these before,was caught by mamu in the early hours of 27th jan near the state border, and showed the permit to the mamu, and the mamu (cop) actually said, "are you trying to teach me the rules, this piece of paper is not only worthless, it's illegal?". never figured out to this day what i could have said/done to get my point through.
had to pay him off with 500 as it was a bottle of jw and i didnt want to throw it away.

2 Things
1. If you are caught on state border , like Goa and Maharashtra border.
You permit for consuming liquor is not valid there. It is some inter-state liquor, excise law etc. You are not supposed to transit liquor or oly to soem extent.
Checking happens even between Pondichery-Chennai. These are different laws
2. Get away paying hafta
This happens when you are caught alone and not in group.
LE and media they all need some news/masala. So if caught along with many people, difficult to get away. You have many example for this.
Few exceptions even in case if you are alone. Like if you are alone, and a celebrity, then also it is difficult to get away paying "tips".

I have used some of these before,was caught by mamu in the early hours of 27th Jan near the state border, and showed the permit to the mamu, and the mamu (cop) actually said, "Are you trying to teach me the rules, this piece of paper is not only worthless, it's illegal?". Never figured out to this day what I could have said/done to get my point through.
Had to pay him off with 500 as It was a bottle of JW and I didnt want to throw it away.
