I better move this to the fight club, as Wildcat (my wild-tempered, or should I say "passionate" wife) is arriving tomorrow morning, and she's still angry at my Great Escape artistry - very angry! I'm checking out of Pattaya central early tomorrow and checking into family-friendly Jomtien Beach with her and WildKitten when they arrive. The Great Escape!

Just before my airport taxi was due last night, a very hormonal Wildcat decided she wouldn't let me go to Thailand without her after all (she is due to come here next week, but she suddenly changed her mind about me going alone). She shouted, cursed, and smashed a few plates and glasses in my general direction as I ducked and weaved with much-practiced skill. She tried to grab my passport from me, and screamed that she would follow me to the airport in her car and make a scene so the police would come and I would miss my flight. When my taxi arrived a few minutes later, she shouted there was no way she would let me get in the cab, and she ran downstairs to the cab to prevent me getting in.

Still upstairs, I thought for a moment "Hmmm, how will I deal this? I know - I'll escape!" [Play theme music to "The Great Escape", starring Piper McQueen]. I hid her car keys, grabbed my back-pack, snuck out the back door, jumped the back gate, sprinted to the main road, jumped into another cab and said "Airport - fast!". Meanwhile, Wildcat was still standing guard angrily at the first cab shouting at the poor driver, telling him to leave.

Soon after, I was sipping a relaxing Jack D at the airport bar while reading a barrage of SMSs from Wildcat telling me what a bastard I am. I couldn't really disagree with her, so I just replied "That's what all the girls say - love ya - see you in Thailand in a few days."

As she always says, "Haram" is my middle name. (She is Moslem, and "Haram" roughly translates to "sinful" i.e. a very bad person who will go to hell for his sins.)

Time now to be haram in the Bangkok harems. :cool:

See you kind of missed the party! This all started in June of this year and I think in July I made several responses but they all got deleted even thought the rules said " if you can't stand the heat don't complain to me, just get out of the kitchen "

When you look at all the threads in the front page and go down down down to when you get to " after Penbelly in Thailand " you will see the word " Moved " then Thai women, opinions & advice " Living in Thailand " Thailand Fight club " Racisim against foreigners in Thailand " Thailand Politics " then look to the right there is a big hole! This hole! means put out to pasture, empty, baron! call it what you want! slow death and soon to be retired!

These threads at one time got daily hits and moved up and down like a escalator now it's just a free fall. When this was done many senior posted predicted exactly what was going to happen and that's why its location is where it is at today. Purposely done so that those who have strong opinions and have criticisms towards the board go to die. The debate pretty much brought out a very clear consenses that you really can't express yourself freely and the debate pretty much burn most of us out and many just left who were great contributors.

Recently, T.T. ask me to go back and I did all 31 pages and it brought back lots of old names and memories. At the same time it gave me even a more clearer picture as to how some or the rules and guidelines are applied or not applied to some members. The situation with OTH, brought out the best and worse in people. See when you have rules and guidelines regardless or public or private and they're not applied consistently you are going to have problems. When they are applied inconsistently and small items like posting in one thread and having it deleted because you don't want a conversation while another big rule is broken while nothing is done it only provides observers and posters thinking that someone agrees with the point of view although it is against boards rules or guidelines. It gives posters like myself the impression that it is personal because you have made negative criticism in the past and being a private site gives the person the right to pick and choose as to what they want deleted by applying rules and guidelines inconsistently.

So, as long as this section of the forum is segragated it will slowly die like so many who were here in June debating. Everything use to be within reach now you have to travel far just to make a simple post! and when you do it gets deleted! Not only did it hurt these threads it hurts the rest of the general Forum itself. Personally I don't think the rest of the Forum is interesting any longer and it's no knock on other new members but overall I think the whole forum has less hits that before this all happen. Sure you might have more new members but they don't seem to post much and then their gone!

Daddy07, has no personal issues with OTH, he pretty much supported him and got personal emails from him. These threads were moved because of OTH, and it will end because of him whether we like it or not. I have never met the man and have through other member heard good and bad things about him and whatever his reason for staying away ego, arrogant, self-center who cares and if I ever meet him.. LBM, will jump on his XXXL shoulder and bring his big ass down and get him back on this forum and bring some life to it!

I think the entire latest issues would have been handled differently if say Giotto (for lack of a better person to name right now, just using him as example) was overall in charge of the Thai threads or someone else or a group of long time members. What happen to RA and others? Most are just gone, disappeared....

And yes I see that most old senior members have stopped posting in the Thai threads. I hope the new class of mongers are as experienced and entertaining as the old group.

Very good, same as me. But I know and you know that in our businesses we both value what our employees say and their opinions. We pay people a salary to be experts in certain areas and take their advice, opinions, and work to heart when we make our decisions. More importantly we listen to our customers and their opinions and value that more then anything else. That did not happen in the past here.

Around 80% of Members Commenting Have Not Stayed! An assortment of 17 Members have posted. Three members have stayed at the hotel and 14 have not. 82% of the reports of coming from people who have never set foot in the hotel....
(Gentlemen, at this point I edited out Desperado’s long hit-list of 17 ‘trouble-makers’ who dared comment about Penthouse Hotel. I only made number 10 on the list – how insulting).
10. Piper1. Senior Member. Not stayed at the hotel. Desperado. Became a member of ISG a couple of weeks ago when Penthouse owners started posting. Has 20 posts to date. Started with two short "filler comments" in a poor attempt to establish street cred. Followed by 18 posts directly promoting Penthouse. Flamed anyone who didn't praise Penthouse. Including members who were not critical of Penthouse.

Remember, Desperado, I did inspect several rooms in the hotel, and did indeed recommend it (for a ST or a night or so).

Suffers from claustropbia and also thinks that the Play Spa Pool is used for orgies and should be replaced with something else. What, like a knitting club? Remember this is ISG. Let's get one thing straight from the start buddy. I started the "Knitting Club" series of witty insults on the ISG Fight Club (and on Giotto's thread - the headquarters of the Knitting Club) - so come up with your own witty jibes you unoriginal fucker.

He likes to stay in a big room at half the price. For me this is another way of saying my budget is 500 Baht a night. Maybe for you. For me, at 1500Baht/night, I was happy with my spacious modern suite, great service, in a modern hotel with a great reputation, and a fucking big resort pool with hot babes lounging around in their bikinis.

He also mentions Trip Advisor and all the credible negative reports written by one post wonders dating back to 2005. Credit Card scamming. Extra Fees. Bad Management Attitude. Dear Penthouse Owners, is this dropkick really a friend of yours? Maybe this is the bit where you take him quietly aside for a little talk about good PR versus completely fucking your business with his big mouth and small brain.

In spite of the constructive comments I think the one respond from the Hotel Management to Eaglestart says it all after 30 plus years of experience in the Hotel business!

Penthouse management, Saint Mint, D.D. just don't get it! and King J. goes along with it too and fuels the fire. It is easy to see, the first three all have ownership interest regardless of how many times they say they don't.

How can you not make money for your hotel with nice banners like these... every first timer will be attracted to them. I certainly did but I already have a place to stay! A thread and forum if you have nice things to say! I have seen ten times worse things said about Giotto lodge, not once this " King J " step in and help him tell writers to be gentle on Giotto! nor has Giotto ever lower himself the way these guys at the Penthouse have done.

If I was just a observer, regardless of the it being a 4 or 5 or even a 10 star hotel that no one will ever find another place like it. After reading the responses I still wouldn't stay there because I just don't care for the attitude of the ownership!

I'd like to applaud Pipe for that thoughtful post on gay sex. Its a difficult subject and he handled it with his customary sensitivity. Mygosh! he does know his stuff, doesn't he! While the academic research is dry and clinical, one does get the feeling that Pipe brings years of practical experience in this area to the table and for that the membership should be grateful.

I used to enjoy entertaining ISG readers with my many silly photos, crazy-but-true stories, and good info, and I brought many members from opposition sites to ISG. In return Jackson let me down in a big way. Now I just read ISG occasionally. All same-same and boring. I cannot access ISG with my real ISG nick-name (thanks Jackson for your lack of help when I needed it most, after asking you for your help to delete a few posts and photos to help save my marriage). Happily, Wildcat has forgiven (but not forgotten). We have two beautiful daughters now, and I focus my attention on them. Wildcat is a member of ISG for over a year now and has read most of my posts, so you got your $19. 95 out of her, and we got a million dollars worth of entertainmemt and discussion as a result.
