Anyone have some recommendations for places to stay in el centro / prado? Looking for apartments that are chica friendly with no chica fees. Preferably under 150 k a night.

For those of you that are also looking for one. I had a horrible experience at hotel Fernando plaza. They would charge 200 k for each guest! Don't know if that is the norm but seems a bit pricey for 1 guest.Oh man, I am going to Medellin next week and had decided on this hotel, based on the fact that others said it was chica-friendly (that all they had to do was register with their IDs). But based on your experience, perhaps their policy has changed? Were you trying to bring the girls in for an overnight deal, or during other times of the day, just for an hour? Would appreciate any feedback you'd be willing to share.

Hello everyone,

I am heading to Medellin next week, and am looking for info on chica-friendly hotels in the El Poblado and Laureles areas.

I had seen previous posts describing Hotel San Fernando Plaza as chica-friendly. But recent posts by others in October 2018 indicates that they were charged a hefty amount for any "guest" not on registered when you checked in. I was going to stay at this hotel, now I'm not so certain.

Personally, I would rather stay at a nice hotel initially, before potentially utilizing the recommendations for Airbnb and smaller boutique hotels that other members have indicated are chica-friendly.

I'm sure there are many others wondering the same thing, so any feedback on this topic would be most appreciated.

http://www.erosmotelsuite.com/.I'm not generally picky, but you've got 2 posts. The first one asks a basic question that's been covered many times and now you're asking for people to report. You should show how it's done and post some reports.

I've been to Punto Cero and motel Ibiza. I've been to one other in Itagui, but can't recall the name. I've checked out the rooms at momento, but never stayed there. I've been past Eros many times, as it's located just down the street from Raudal area of streetwalkers.

Punto Cero was reasonably nice. Not exceptional considering the price. The place in Itagui was fairly basic, but a decent price. Momentos rooms were nothing to write home about.

Motel Ibiza is the best in Medellin, although it's really in Itagui. It's also the most expensive. The basic room costs about 90 k for 6 hours. However, the basic room comes with a sound system, stripper pole, couch, sex chair, queen bed, jacuzzi and great shower. The in room mini bar is stocked with condoms, lube, bubble bath, sex toys, beer, water, liquor and some basic snacks. Room service available with a full menu and a full catalog of sex toys and lingerie. There are also sauna rooms, but they cost extra.

Punto Cero was similarly equipped, just not as nice.

There are a lot more love motels around. They range from tiny, grubby rooms for 15-20 k to themed suites for 45 k and up. Number of hours varies. The cheapest ones tend to be by the hour, which makes a place like Ibiza a good deal if you're wanting something more than a quick fuck.

Clean enough, secure and friendly staff, I will return.

There are also 2 other motels right around the corner (located on Calle 54), I have stayed at both, the one to the west on that street is a dive 20 mil room and it is called something like The RITZ, jajajaja you get what you pay for and I will not return however the one to the east called Hotel Palmetto Suite is clean, reasonable and good staff, I recommend as I have been many times and best of yet this motel allows multiple girls AND multiple guys (ie for orgies) in the same room as some love motels do NOT allow multiple men in the same room even if you pay the additional person charge.

Hey guys,

I've been staying with this host my past few trips to Medellin. He has 5 different AirBNB's from 2 BR all the way to 10 BR that are setup with privacy in mind. They're all pretty much brand spanking new. It's 2 blocks from Parque Lleras which is great because you're close enough to walk but far enough that it's quiet. The bigger ones can be for bachelor parties etc. During the day it's a private entrance but he has a guard at night for your protection, basically just to check the girls are of age, etc. Highly recommended. When I showed up with a bunch of guys, he had beers and pizzas all lined up for us. Let him know one of the Horsemen recommended you, he'll know what's up.

Thanks in advance for any help, and as always a trip report will follow.

Are there no more girl / guest friendly hotels? I heard there has been a recent crackdown, and most hotels are now charging hefty fees for guests. I'm aware the mansion is friendly, but any other hotels possibly near Parque Lleras? Fees at Torre Poblado and dix from what I hear.

Hey guys,

With all the talk about hotels and adjustments not being chica friendly, it has me wondering. If the fine print on an Airbnb don't mention anything, should I reach out to confirm there won't be any issues? Should I just be honest about intentions or just mention having friends over? The condo in question is below in case anyone has specific experience. Thanks in advance!

Could I rent your house to bring strange girls over to fuck for a week?

At least in the hotel they usually check and register the Chica's ID.

That avoids uncomfortable situations later. I think you should be honest with your intentions because most owners do not want a parade of ladies in and out of their apartments.

Has anyone ever stayed at the Hotel Calle Real Medellin? It to like to hear more about it. I have only read as fart back as 0 ctober of last year. I have been busy reading the Medellin thread, looking at where the girls are at and pricing. If there is already a post about it, please direct me to it. If not, ID like to know if its girl friendly and as many pros and cons about it.

Most likely it is going to be chica friendly. Based on location here's my suggested pros and cons.

Pros- Inexpensive. Cheap food nearby. Convenient to metro and streetwalkers. Daytime, plenty of shopping options nearby.

Cons- Probably needs renovation. Furniture likely to be worn out. Noisy day time. Probably lacks air conditioning and chance of breeze is slim. Likely hot and noisy afternoons. Night time the walking street is completely deserted. Might be risky returning late.

If this is the general area you're interested in, I'd recommend a place that is on a street, rather than the walking street.

Stayed at the Hotel Porton Medellin. Here is the details.

They do allow guests if you book for two. However only for the first guest.

After that they make you sign a waiver indicating 150 mil per guest and about.

You taking responsibility whatever the situation etc.

I did talk to their concierge and others to no avail. I am not sure how it works if you make.

2-3 separate reservations. They also told me if I had my first one come and go 4-5 times.

It would not be an extra charge.

I suspect this may be the policy at any of the business type hotels in the area.

Which has less hassle with girls?I've stayed at both and Energy is definitely worth the extra money. The roof top pool is incredible and the building is newer. I stayed there for a month, but that was 4-5 years ago. I had no issues with guests coming to visit. The Blux felt cheap and had a cold vibe.

Energy pros: The pool, the view, newer, always impresses.

Cons: The street is very noisy depending which apt you have, I had to use ear plugs 50% of the nights.

Always read the rules thoroughly if using Airbnb. Some will state outright they don't want sex tourism, etc. - just move on. I often ask the landlord outright.

Could anyone please recommend a nice hotel or Airbnb in Poblado for around $50 a night with air conditioning and a mini fridge? If it's a hotel I would like free WiFi and free breakfast. Thanks! I'll be in Medellin from May 9-14.

*Edit. Whoops, I thought I could compress and upload a video in a zipped file, but its too big. So, here are some screen captures of the video I took. Not very helpful I suppose, but it doesn't change my post. San Peter Apartment Suites was great!

I stayed at San Peter mid March 2019 for the first time. I think it was great! I was on the 13th floor. And the manager / owner? Jose was super cool and told me I got a good apartment (I'm withholding which exact one on purpose). Can book direct. Victor is available for transportation back to airport, both speak English (but I didn't use the transportation service).

- location is great, right off of la 70, plenty of bars and restaurants and Exito and walkable to metro and a few casas I know of.

- No problems with chicas / guests.

- cheap.

- comfortable.

- A / see in bedroom. But was a bit week.

- no problem with WiFi for me, and I used the smart TV to stream Netflix, and did plenty of email work.

- plenty of kitchen utensils and cookware.

- Philly's sportsbar and another restaurant on ground floor.

- lots of hoes knew where it was and convenient for them.

- came with two little terry cloth bath robes which came in handy post session.

- washer / dryer to freshen up towels and such.

I plan on staying there again next month. Likely splitting time between here for the local vibes, and then Energy because the girls like the pool.

Awesome is that the place I was told about at Blackbeards called 'the mansion"? I don't mind chicas around but want to see freelancers, bars and strip clubs. Yes, that is the place. I have never stayed there but it is an option if you are new and want to be around like minded people. I don't think the place precludes you from leaving and going to strip clubs and hooking up with free lancers outside the establishment, but I have never stayed there so you should check the trip reports.

In general, there are many hotels and apartments you can stay in around the city if you prefer to go that route. As someone else suggested, you can read through various threads including this one for suggestions. You have everything from roach motels to luxury apartments throughout the city, depending on your taste, location, etc. Good luck!

You should contact them immediately, because they are usually booked up. You'll find like minded mongers there with experience in Medellin.

You won't find freelancer bars like you can find in the DR. However, you can find freelancers in many of the night clubs around Parque Lleras. Be prepared to get charged 2 or 3 times the going rate. There are dozens of more casual bars in El Centro where you can find freelancers, but that area might be scary to you.

I was told to stay in El Poblado or Parque Lleras and there is an Airbnb owned by some Americans I believe, with built in bar / club downstairs to pick up girls? Curious to know the cost difference in these places. I would hate to pay higher price to stay at the mansion and pay more for the girls on top of that too.

As others have said it is similar to BB in the DR. It is convenient and gives the newbie an opportunity to get the lay of the land and most likely on future visits you can go at it solo.

On average, you will pay less for women at the Mansion than women you find around Parque Ileras. Many of the women at the Mansion will accept less than 200 mil. You will be very lucky to find any woman around Parque Lleras for 200 mil. The rooms at the Mansion cost more than any comparable room in the area. Airbnb apartments can be found for about half the price of Mansion rooms.

As for the Airbnb you mention, I have no idea where that may be. The only place (other than the Mansion) I know about in Poblado where you can readily pick up ladies is Gustos. There are no apartments above it. Other than strip clubs, casas, Gustos, and the Mansion, there are no other clubs in Medellin where the women there are waiting to be scooped up by mongers, that I have heard of.

Worries me that I'm reading management would lie and cheat or steal, kinda removes the "safety" feeling.

I stayed at the mansion last year and it was nice because girls were already there and you don't have to worry about a flake.

But paying 200 mil for a hour when you can get the same At the casas much less has be thinking ID do my trip differently.

I want to find a chica friendly hotel in centro (any ideas) and hit up some of the casas in centro pay a exit fee for the girl and.

Negotiate a price for her to stay the night. That way I don't need to go out to to find a girl. I can pay 200-300 mil for the night and.

That's much better than the mansion for just one hour.

What do you guys think?

I am almost daily in centro medellin, just last night me and my colombian amigo picked up 2 chicas for the complete night, I paid 125 mil for my costena freak from 8 PM last night until 2 PM this afternoon. A complete freak in bed. I had so much sex that I need time to recover.

My point is yes get yourself a room at Hotel Nutibara or HOTEL NORMANDIA and you will have a field day with chicas at reasonable rates.

Of course centro medellin is not for everyone but for those of us that learn the nuances wow a world of opportunity opens up.

Good luck!

In your opinion, what does the management lie about and what do they steal?I stayed there one time. At that time, their web site stated that all taxes were included in prices listed. I had forgotten that, and they charged tax in addition to the listed price. IVA tax is not supposed to be collected by hotels from foreign tourists. They charged that. When I asked about it, they said only new hotels don't have to collect those taxes.

You will never know unless you find out for yourself.

You will be safe staying at the Mansion. See my post below this one where I explain my statement about management.

Worries me that I'm reading management would lie and cheat or steal, kinda removes the "safety" feeling.Medellin can be dangerous in comparison to the DR. In that sense, the management at the Mansion would probably be the least of your worries considering the real theft that occurs in the streets and guys getting drugged by women. You hear about this kind of stuff happening here much more than the DR. That being said, you will probably not have a problem on a short stay if you take the proper precautions.

As far as the women, I lived in Santiago for 2 years and never had a complaint about the women. I also like Santo Domingo and the Caribbean vibe. That being said, if you have only experienced Barba Negra then there is a lot more to experience in the DR. There are other options in that Puerto Plata area in addition to Black Beards.

I'm a resident of Medellin and I have no complaints about the women here either. If you've never been and have an interest, it may be worth checking out. Colombia is a big country and there are many cities that have a p4 p scene. As far as Medellin, even if you don't chose the mansion there are plenty of hotel and airbnb options. As far as the women here in Medellin, you have everything from crack heads on the street to high end call girls so there is something for every taste and budget. In general, Medellin is known for having pretty and voluptuous women that are very feminine. There is no beach here and it is a major city so much different from a Puerto Plata / Costambar type experience.

Hey guys,

I've been out of the monger game for awhile. (Salvadoran-American). I've done my share of traveling in my origin country of ES but have always wanted to take a trip to Colombia but my buddy I used to party with is not up for the trip. What's the low down for a complete noob to Colombia like me. I speak fluent Spanish and English. I guess main question for me is, since I see this posted on the trip announcements. Do some of you meet up while down there? That'd be cool for me so long as I can plan ahead. Peace guys.

I'll be traveling to Colombia in June and am trying to get my accommodations in Medellin set up but I'm having trouble locating the mansion on the web. I've clicked through to the links in a number of the posts on the forum and none of them are working. Can someone help direct me to their booking info? Many thanks! As this is my first post, I should also add that I appreciate all of the information you guys have shared and have learned quite a bit, many thanks!

Here is the link, and it is working. http://hotelmedellinplaza.com/.Some additional information which you'll need. When you email them through the website the first thing they will ask is how you heard about them. The acceptable answer is to tell them you are a member of this website.

I'm guessing they want to avoid someone being shocked to find prostitutes in the hotel. Happened a few years ago in the Dominican Republic. Some church group on a mission trip booked rooms at a hotel popular with mongers. There was a lot of outrage, but I bet a few of the shocked and disgusted people were trying to figure out a way to return without the group.

I could be wrong but to the best of my knowledge there has been no change in ownership, they are adding a large addition to the hotel. I am 95% sure Hotel Calle Real is girl friendly but want to be 100% sure so am asking you. Can not find an answer in any of my searches of ISG, hotel sites, others.

Can you recommend 2-3 places to stay near the street walkers that in clean with hopefully hot water and air conditioning? Small, spartan, noisy is OK. Cheaper the better. Nothing over $25. Love motels are fine.

First trip with no Spanish but I know I do not belong in El Poblado. Do not even want to visit that area. But will visit the Laureles area.

Landing May 27.

Landing May 27.In centro the go-to hotels are either Hotel Botero Medellin or Hotel Nutibara. I personally know guys who fly down into Medellin and hold up in these places for a week or two at a time and get more pussy in that time than Hugh Hefner did in a year, jejejejejeje.

For a Love motel I always use the Hotel Palmetto on CL 54 which is about as sketchy area as you can get however the price is right and because of its location you can get as much pussy than your poor dick can handle. I use this motel about once each week.

BTW like your style as I too stay clearr of Park Lleras / Poblado. AND the same pussy / chicas who walk the parque Lleras can be found in centro and / or the centro bars for a third of the price.

There are dozens of more casual bars in El Centro where you can find freelancers, but that area might be scary to you. What exactly is scary about it? Is it the not speaking Spanish part?

I've seen many people say El Centro is scary compared to Poblado but nobody has detailed why exactly.

I don't find El Centro to be scary. However, some of the reasons it might scare some people are:

More passed out glue sniffers than in El Poblado.

More trash in the streets.

More poor people.

More dilapidated buildings.

More people drinking in the streets, day or night.

Of course, all of that depends on where in El Centro you are. There are some great looking neighborhoods, where the streets are clean and the properties are well maintained. There are also areas that will make you feel like you stumbled onto the set of Escape from New York, except you're probably not Kurt Russell.

It's located next to Plaza Mayorca and is just a short stroll from where I'll be staying. If it's kept clean and the furniture isn't worn out, I'd rather use it than Motel Ibiza, since it's cheaper and closer.

Hi all,

Does anyone know of an air be&be or hotel or apartment that has private dedicated garages? Curious for safety and privacy reasons. I am planning on renting a car this time.

As an aside I've been to Medellin twice and am going again in a week. The information here has been invaluable. Reading posts especially from the likes of The Tall Man are spot on. Centro and San Diego districts are far more interesting than what you find in Poblado to my taste at least.

The Tall Man.Haha agreed I do feel a sense of kinship with you. Perhaps we have even "known" some of the same ladies down there. I do prefer it less crowded so hopefully no one is paying too much attention to this.

BTW in case anyone is interested motel metrópolis is a good option if you have a car and are looking for privacy and security. They charge 45 k "para amanecer" which means any time you arrive (after 8 pm) till noon the next day. You park your car in a garage directly connected to the room. You can even order food and drinks, which they bring to you through the garage, the only access.

They also have rooms which have what appeared to be a bondage chair, if you're into that. Rooms were clean. Mini bar was well stocked. Nothing special, but convenient for those in Sabaneta, or if you happen to pick up some chica at Plaza Mayorca.

Anyone else have suggestions for hotels that are girl friendly in el Noblado?

I'm planning on splitting my time between el centro and el Poblado. Probably staying at Nutibarra for el centro to stay close to all the casas and SW but I'm having trouble finding an appropriate hotel in el Poblado for bringing several different FB girls. I've read through a ton of pages and nothing. Last time I stayed at el Poblado, they charged me 90 k for each guest smh. Any suggestions?

Also for SW in el centro, do you guys just walk the 3 blocks to Nutibarra / el Botero with the SW and sign them in? How does this work?

Thanks man! Good to know I at least have the option of bringing Facebook chicas over. 60,000 is obviously not ideal, but it remains an option. I think I'll mostly hit casas and maybe try one or two facebook girls. You know there are other options. There are some upscale love-hotels (Thematic for one). They have Jacuzzi rooms or simple rooms. The simple rooms are 50-60 mil depending on the time of day. The main advantage is that the door is locked after you and your friend enter. They will confirm that you haven't used anything in the mini-fridge before you leave. This means there is no chance the girl walks off with anything (you won't bring anything to the Love Hotel anyway) and she won't be drugging you since she can't get out of the locked room. I use this option frequently with first time meetings. If I feel comfortable with the girl and there is a second meeting, well then maybe the hotel comes into play. Many hotels will have some charge or something for bringing guests but they will get pissed if you are doing this on a daily basis. Especially if they have a lot of families staying there and your "amiga" shows up in trashy hooker clothing. So if you have her come to your hotel remember the two golden rules:

1. Tienes que traer tu cédula. (You have to bring your cedula / national ID card).

2. Por favor, te pones la ropa conservativa. (Please, put on conservative clothes).

I like the idea of it locking itself until you are done. But what if I want to for example get head from at least 2 different women an hour? Are these places where I can just rent for a day like a regular hotel but that I can leave the room to bring in new chicks? I plan on strolling Parque Lleras asking women for head and to eat their assholes and would be nice if I can just sign up for short 30 minute sessions with many many many women in one day then to find one to do everything with. At least not for this part of the trip. Ideally, I would have my tour guide with me and be able to look for new chica's in between my cums. And if its that easy to find a girl in the street on El Poblado for some "ZOKI ZOKI" action, no reason why I won't want 2 new girls an hour. I can do this shit all day.

Okay guys, is there love motels that are actually designed to handle a bunch of little quickies all day?

I can do this shit all day.The short answer is "no."

The long answer is "definitely not if you believe you're going to be picking up girls in Parque Lleras all day long. "

The only real love Motel around Parque Lleras is Las Cabanas. It's not really convenient to Parque Lleras for walking. There's also almost no girls available walking around Parque Lleras until after 9 pm.

If you're just planning on picking up girls off the street all day you need to be in El Centro, or Mayorista. The girls can all lead you to a room for 10 k. Or you can pay a little more to find your own room. Unless the rates have gone up the short time rooms in Mayorista are 16-17 k.

Colombians use love motels in a specific way. For a short quickie they go to a cheap, 1 hour place. For a special occasion, they go to a fancy 5-6 hour place, like Motel Ibiza. They don't run in and out every 30 minutes to bring in another girl. The motels are set up for Colombians. They're not set up for what you want.

There are hotels in El Centro which not only offer hourly rooms, but daily rooms as well. One of those might work for you. However, you're probably stuck with 1 towel and 1 set of sheets each day.

A final note:

Even at night, it's unlikely you'll find what you think you'll find in Parque Lleras. There might be a few fuglies around who will run off for a quickie, but you'll spend at least 150 k and you'll need to bring your own paper bag to put over their head. The girls in Lleras tend to look for 1 hour minimum. If you want to pay 4 times as much to get the ugliest girl you can find, plus 7-10 times as much for a love motel, plus taxi, go to Parque Lleras.

If you'd rather pay much less for the hottest girl, go to El Centro.

If I reading the forum correct Hotel Nutibara is chica friendly? I don't mind emailing to ask but thought I'the ask my ISG brethren while I'm on here. I don't want to be accused of being lazy as I was in the Cartagena thread LOL BTW why'all much more active and informative over here in the Medellin side. Looking forward to this first Sudamérica foray. It will be the end of November.

Fucks / eat their arses or what ever you want Price is about $USD15 with tip for a Pop or 15 minutes what ever comes first (Room provided). Some of the bigger establishments have 100 + girls working per shift so plenty of selection. The quality range from 3/10 to 9/10 with the average around 6 so a lot of doable chicas. The good news is there are probably at least 100 of these places in Peru so once you have done every girl you like at one establishment you can move onto another and repeat the process. Note most of the girls in these places are Venezuelans ages 18 to about 35 yrs average 28 yrs.

Can anyone provide info on the Sites Hotel, in Patio Bonito? I have searched for information on this site, but have come up empty. If nothing else, can someone point me to information on this property? They have the perfect situation for me: 1 br with a small kitchen, heated pool and small balcony. I have written them directly regarding their guest policy, but they have yet to respond. Thanks in advance to those who refrain from RTFF, as I have tried! LOL.

LOL.I stayed there 3 or 4 years ago and it was generally guest-friendly (I say "generally" because one angry women at the desk was giving me a problem with bringing in guests, but it was just her).

I wouldn't call what they have a "pool. " It's more of a tub, and not even a big one.

If you do stay there be alert walking up / down Calle 5 and 5 A to Avenida Poblado late at night. That's the only time I've had an attempted robbery in Medellin (and I spend time in Centro, occasionally at night). I turned the corner walking down the hill and two guys came at me with knives. I ran and easily avoided the situation, but it could have been different.

And because I am trying to fit in a last minute trip with loose deposit rules and cancel fees as I am not quite 100% sure I will be able to go. Air is no hit as I am on an award ticket.

I had wondered about the pool. In certain places the info references a hot tub but pool and hot tub was the same pic. LOL And thanks for the night safety info. Easy to get complacent. Glad your story turned out well.

Very clean and well appointed rooms in a quiet neighborhood. If you get an upper floor the views of Mila de Oro are fantastic. Balconies unfortunately don't have room to sit and enjoy the view. Views from the pool are great and I've always had the pool for myself.

Let's of tourists. The couple times I've stayed there were many Europeans.

The hotel is kind of remote although there are some small restaurants nearby and a decently short walk to an Exito market or the Metro.

The biggest problem can be getting a taxi. Especially on weekend nights or rainy days (like today).

Not too sure about their guest policy as when I was there I brought my own and checked in with me.

Are those chongos gringo-friendly? I heard from somewhere that chongos require you to present your actual passports to enter now, not really documents I want to have on me at a brothel.

If chongos are a go for a chino-gringo, then its for sure on the horizons for the future.

Hi everyone,

My friends and I are looking into AirBnB for an early November trip in Poblado or Llenas area. We find a number of locations don't have Air Conditioning. Someone that know that went said that there is always a cool breeze and his place had no AC.

Is AC needed even when doing the deed?

Thanks.

Is AC needed even when doing the deed? Many factors to be considered. If the airbnb is on the top floor, most will get hot during the day. The temperature is usually in the low to mid 80's during the day, so there is no cool breeze. In the evening, after the sun goes down, a fan will usually keep you comfortable. Later at night, temperature is usually in the high 60's, so everything is good.

Where is this place "Llenas"? Are you talking about Parque Lleras? If so, it is in Poblado.

Thanks.I spent 9 months in a high rise apartment, in Poblado, that faced west. No air conditioning, although I did have a fan in the room. Except for late afternoon and early evening, the temperature was fine. There's a bit of a morning breeze in Poblado, but usually not an afternoon breeze.

I spent 3 months in an apartment in Laureles as well, no air conditioning, no fan. It was comfortable all day. Laureles does get a nice breeze almost every afternoon.

Temperature drops fairly quickly after sunset, which is about 6 pm year round. Daytime high is about 85°f during the dry season and 78°f during rainy season. Nighttime lows 60-64°f.

You'll find air conditioning in higher end apartments.

Thanks.I have a friend from Boston who keeps his AC at 84 degrees F. He's comfortable at that while I would sweat nonstop. A guy like me needs the AC set very low to be comfortable while others would freeze with the temps I like. If you are like him you will not need AC. If you are like me you will definitely need AC. Why not just get a room with AC just in case?

So I'the like to contribute to this great site with a little info about chica-friendly hotels / apts in Medellin.

I went last year, and loved it. Will possible live there part time in the future. In any event, I did a little homework befpre taking off on the trip. I asked about this topic here on the forum last year, but did not see the responses until after I was already in Medellin. Hope this info helps some folks out there.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites.

This place was a great choice, since the hotel is attached to basically a small mall (centro commercial) where there are at least 20 different restaurants, bars and cafes, all kinds of food, very modern, really nice, I loved it. Took a couple of Colombian cupid dates here, very convenient. The hotel itself is chica friendly. You do have to pay $25 to take a chica up to your room. But they just add it your bill, so at least you don't have to fork out the cash at that moment. The girl shows her ID, she registers, and up you go. As long as everyone is discreet about it, not a problem. Took a couple of girls up this way, all went OK both times. I would definitely stay there again, great central location in El Poblado.

Blux Apartamentos.

I read about this place somewhere. Was going to book online, but decided to contact the management company instead. They were very nice, they showed me 4 different units, and chose one with a great view and a washer / dryer inside. This place was like the Ticuan Hotel in Tijuana. The girl arrives, the front desk calls your room to see if you are expecting a visitor, why yes I am, thank you, and the girl is knocking on your door a couple of minutes later. Easy peasy. The main downside is there's not a ton of places for food downstairs, I used the Rappi food delivery app a lot, and from that perspective found myself missing the multitude of options in Poblado.

Told About 2 more, but not verified personally.

I corresponded with a guy on another review site. He told me that he stayed at the Hotel Dann Carlton Medellin and the Hotel Poblado Plaza. Same sort of situation, you register the girl, she goes up with you, didn't tell me if you were charged additional for bringing the girl up, but it would not surprise me. He did tell me that he ran into a driver and hired him while he was in Medellin, so that definitely helped the cause at both hotels. Again, I haven't verified this info myself, but I thought it would be worth sharing, nonetheless.

I definitely prefer to stay in nicer places, nicer suites. I'm not looking to break the bank, but travel is one of the only things I splurge on, so the places I stayed at and the others mentioned are definitely up my alley. Hope this post helps, cheers.

Looking forward to this first Sudamrica foray. It will be the end of November.I stayed at the Nutibara, but used the local motels that were nearby Veracruz and Raudal. I'm sorry if my memory is less than unclear, I should have taken a photo, but it seems to be a reasonable 25 k to bring a guest to the room after 6 pm.

If a guest visits before 6 pm they must be out in 30 minutes to avoid charges. It never said but I suspect this person will have to have ID. It also never said but you will void your tourist exemption to pay the national tax, currently 19%, probably on your entire stay.

For me the local motels at a rate of 10-20 K were more convenient. Another problems is the area is unsafe after 9 pm, so if you are going to find a date to bring there you might not want to hoof it.

I stayed at the Nutibara for my first night and was happy with it. I took the more expensive King room on the top floor. The place is aged and the water never exceeded lukewarm for me. They let me check in ultra early, (before noon). I wandered the afternoon, but moved out to Poblado the next day. It was easy to take the metro to parque berrio a stones throw from the action, then spend the evenings in Poblado, very safe til even 4 AM with all the creature comforts not available in centro.

It was easy to take the metro to parque berrio a stones throw from the action, then spend the evenings in Poblado, very safe til even 4 AM with all the creature comforts not available in centro. Thanks for the tip! I actually already cancelled Nutibara figured I do what you wrote and get short time hotel if I'm in centro and run into action, currently looking on Airbnb and booking for Apatment in Poblado. Ill stay a M2 first couple night then apartment.

Hotel Maediro is near Parque Lleras and said they are chica friendly w / no charge.

Just need cedula, as always. I didn't ask if this is only Colombian cedula, but now I'm curious. (lotsa Venezuelans around.).

There are also Jacuzzi tubs in some of the rooms. Which can be fun.

I think it was about $60/ night.

Did you ever find out if they were girl friendly?

Just a quick post on my recent trip the last couple weeks. Sorry, I am not posting to confirm a chica-friendly hotel in Laureles. I stayed at OBO hotel, and it was really nice, but I never brought chicas back to the hotel. I never even tried. I saw chicas at the casas or strip clubs all the time, so I never had the need to bring one back to the hotel. This location was great and the hotel was really nice. The neighborhood is actually called Florida Nueva, for what it's worth. It is on a side street right off La Setenta, and a short walk to the Estadio metro station. I really recommend this part of town to stay in, and I recommend this hotel. Although I can't confirm, it may be allowed to bring chicas. When I checked in the clerk said, "oh, you have booked for two people. " he asked if I had anyone else to check in. I told him maybe I would be bringing someone back with me later in the week. He said, no problem, we will just make a copy of her cedula. All of this was in spanish, by the way, because nobody speaks english there.

They just do like they said, after that is when the big chica fee shows up and its extortionate for local standards, rendering your only realistic option as a nearby love motel. That first chica you registered can come and go as many times as you want.

Looks like a nice place. Has anybody stayed here that can confirm? I understand the mongers on here that don't like to give out info on the places they stay. One guy mentioned Estelar and that he did not want to ruin a good thing. I totally get it! So if you don't post about it I cannot hate on you. I do the same exact thing. Sometimes it's better not to share info because you will always have that one dude who will mess things up!

Trying to plan my next trip to Medellin now. Anyone stayed at the Blux apartments lately? I have read mixed reports about them of late, that they were giving guests a hard time etc.

I am trying to avoid the need for short term motels. And the rip off chica fee at long term and balance that with security.

Thoughts welcome.

Hi guys,

I've looked through 50 pages seeking a girl friendly hotel in either Pobalado or Centro.

Have not been to Medellin for P4P before, only for business.

My girl friendly I mean no joiner fee, no questions, no question of 'it depends whose shift it is'; just a concrete acceptance that men are banging women in their rooms.

There were some bulletproof suggestions but every one of them is full for my dates in mid-May. It seems my only options are expensive, far away from the action or a love hotel on a daily rate. For nine days.

So going for the third option, what is the least grim, more-or-less safe shack-up place in Centro or Poblado. Ideally with normal hotel stuff like a desk and WiFi and a safe?

Many many thanks for the help.

I've never had a problem there. But, I don't typically have more than 1 guest a day either. Be kind to your portero. Buy a little breakfast and enjoy the friendly staff. Just act like a grown up with manners and gratitude, not like an animal (or teenager) in heat. Or, a knuckle-dragging, uncultured gringo. You won't have any problems in this special city. Wear fashionable jeans or chinos with decent shoes. Shorts and sneakers are a tell-tale sign that you don't belong here and have no idea what you are doing. Cheap sandals or flip-flops.. forget it.. it maybe 50-60 degrees F warmer here than where you're coming from... but there is NO beach.

Hi guys,

I am planning a trip to Medellin later this year and like the Blux apartments. Has anyone here stayed in one of their apartments before and if so, is it guests friendly? I sent them an email asking but never got a reply back. Any other hotels, apartments, or Airbnb near Parque Lleras that are girls friendly and don't have a huge chica fee? I went to Medellin for the first time over Christmas last year, stayed at the Mansion 1 and San Peters apartment in Laureles. I liked San Peters a lot since they do not charge you any chica fees, but it's in Laureles and this time I want to be closer to Parque Lleras and El Poblado. Thanks in advance.

Ill stay a M2 first couple night then apartment.Medellin is a bit of an enigma to me. The Nutibara is convenient to Botero, but its lacking in many ways.

I find it difficult to weigh the benefits of staying at a posh hotel and sardine canning my way downtown on the metro daily vs staying downtown where I'm a virtual shut in after 10 Pm. I really like the bars near Veracruz. I was lucky to have met up with a bar girl there who I took out salsa dancing in Poblado before sneaking her into La Quinta in the wee hours. But that's a lot of commuting time.

I'm still seeking out a decent hotel within walking distance during the day to centro but is not in a combat zone at night.

I have the same question. I emailed them and received a less than clear response. Basically, they repeated what was in their ad. They allow a limited number of visitors and have a "strict prostitution policy". So, I have decided to look elsewhere.

For those that are willing to try, be sure to understand the limitation. As I understand it, you are limited so that the number of visitors over your entire stay cannot exceed the maximum capacity. So if it's a 3 person apartment, you can only have 2 visitors for your stay. I cannot say that they truly enforce that but that's what they told me.

The area gets nicer and it's any easy downhill walk or a quick taxi ride back. There are also some nice restaurants up that way.

Has anyone stayed at the hotel Nutibara recently. Are they stil chica friendly and or do they charge a guest fee (if so how much)? How are the rooms, staff, food etc. ? Any information would help. Booked my second trip to Medellin and I want to stay in this area this time. Would prefer a hotel over an airbnb because I have a few friends joining me but not everyone is confirmed plus I prefer having my own space and the convenience of a hotel. So any other close by hotel recommendations would also be appreciated but Nutibara seems to check most of the boxes for me.

I recently stayed in BLUX. They employ female security staff. Two person per stay policy, only Colombia-issued Cedula, or a foreign passport rule is strongly enforced. Forgot about bringing Venezuela girls back.

This two / three visitors per stay is new and has become very annoying.

Members should be paying particular attention to this board with respect to accommodations in Medellin. The rule of thumb for the newer tall residential building should be avoided. Things have changed this year.

Here is the conversation with owner of AirB Blux apartment yesterday:Thank you. No, this is not in my view the conversation about visitor policy. This conversation is about registered guests that can stay with you, and obviously each apartment has limits, 2,3,4, 8 etc. It only means, for example 3 people can share the same unit for their stay.

*AVOID* BLUX.

All female security staff. You sign paper saying police will get called if they suspect anything. Max two visitor policy per stay. Cedula or Passport required.

I just view the situation from the resident of the country point of view, who may wish to entertain, or has his or her family visitors, colleagues or just delivery people. It just hard to imagine a Colombian renting an apartment who may see the security refusing entry to her grandmother. As for police they don't give a shit about it. BTW the country does not fight prostitution at all, it just upholds the laws and views the providers as vulnerable (meaning protect them). Female or male security does not mean any difference in my view. If you have a copy of a correspondence or a contract from BLUX, you may whiten out the private data and post a pdf here. Thank you.

Same can be said for Factory Lofts in Laureles: two visitors and this even counts any of your traveling friends, so forget staying there.

I have to trust you on that (those particular buildings) since you're likely on the ground, and I'm not. Thank you.1. There certainly is a movement, an organization, that aims at getting rid of sex tourism. Many hotels are signed up, and they have material posted on elevator walls, various places. That is not about prostitution per se, as they are doing nothing about that downtown, etc. As far as I know. It is about sex tourism. They do not want to be known as a sex tourism destination. Whether this is part of what Blux and other places are buying into I have no idea.

2. During Covid, and with recommendations from health authorities, short term rentals all over the world have rules like this. I had an airbnb unit and I had rules like that, because my province did. My rule was that my registered guests could not themselves come from more than 2 different households, and no outside guests were allowed. Later I allowed 1 - per stay. So I had similar rules based on provincial guidelines. In fact short term rentals were totally shut down for 2 months except for guests needing a place because of essential work services and quarantines.

Anyway, it could be a confluence of these 2 reasons, or who knows. I don't find it surprising in these times, but I agree it would not work if it is actually the place you live.

I can also confirm the 2 person enforcement on Blux. My fault for not checking this thread earlier. As mentioned, it is an all female staff and they hold firm on the policy. No tip amount will change their view, and even my puppy dog eye approach, which usually changes opinions, didn't work. They haven't updated all their policies on paper too, it was mentioned in a blurb in email only at first. I saw 2 other guests experience the same issue while I stayed. Very annoying.

I'm trying to focus on apartments that clearly states "guest friendly " before I book anything. I haven't had much luck in Poblado area but I have found a couple in Laureles so I might just stay there this time.

Medellin is a bit of an enigma to me.

I'm still seeking out a decent hotel within walking distance during the day to centro but is not in a combat zone at night.Where did you end up staying? I'm also looking for something near centro. I'm currently looking at bombona area but it seems like there isn't much on airbnb. Just curious if you found anything good.

So thanks to this forum I booked a decent apartment in the San Peter building. I say decent because it ticks all the boxes, its clean cosy and full of mod cons but while spending a few hours browsing other accommodations I saw some really amazing places that definitely were a few steps above decent with jacuzzis and rooftop balconies where the price certainly wouldn't break the bank. While thinking of spending a bit more for an upgrade there was one major issue, Medellin does not seem to like accommodating renters, as most of the accommodation seems to come with lists of bizarre rules that resemble an encyclopaedia.

No solo travellers, no more than 3 guests and for each one after there is a $100,000 fee each, no sex trafficking of minors (do they really think someone intent on sex trafficking minors will read this and think again? You may have guests but not too many, various monetary deposits incase you broke said rules and so the list goes on.

Why would you pay so much money to have a good time in a holiday apartment only to be bound by such rules?

For the ones that didn't display a list of archaic rules I politely enquired about their guest policy and asked if guests were allowed. Even though I have a huge amount of glowing feedback on airbnb, my invitation to book was swiftly withdrawn on most properties where I made an enquiry and I was told that their guest policy would not suit me and I should move on. I would have thought in these times owners would be super keen to rent out their properties for a few weeks but perhaps not.

So what's going on, what's all the hostility about? It makes me think how lucky I was in Thailand and Cambodia where anything goes, heck hotel and apartment owners would even find it amusing when I brought so many girls back, in fact at times they would encourage it.

I think these owners in Medellin need to chill out.

Owners have the right to have whatever kinds of guests they want. And lots of people don't appreciate mongers, don't want them in their place, don't want the trouble that sometimes happen with the stream of girls or guys they bring.

Also, you don't mention it, but there is an issue with a pandemic going on. As an owner I would not want someone bringing in other guests.

If you were to search on airbnb you will also see that a lot of the rules also don't only apply to mongers, I'm not just talking about bringing visitors back.

Of course they have the right to choose whatever guests they like but the point is, while advertising for guests with such ridiculous rules they are unlikely to do themselves any favours. There is a pandemic going on? Of course there is and the vast majority of the rules don't have anything to do with the safety measure in place, for example, no solo travellers, surely a solo traveller would be a lot less risky than multiple people. What if you're a solo traveller travelling for work or business or whatever, are you to be excluded from renting. I've never heard anything like it anywhere in the world.

What if you're a solo traveller travelling for work or business or whatever, are you to be excluded from renting. I've never heard anything like it anywhere in the world.I'm guessing there are two things going on. Excluding solo travellers makes no sense for preventing spread of Covid. So that's probably just them not wanting to have mongers as guests. There is a lot of that in Colombia, there are groups that are anti-monger, or more specifically anti foreign monger. Or anti sex tourism is another way to put it. And these groups may be putting pressure on hosts, I know they put pressure on hotels.

As far as Covid measures. We probably agree on what might make sense for that, I have no argument there.

As for helping themselves have a good business. Lots of hosts could do better with that. I've been a superhost (not in Colombia), and it is always a balancing act between what is good for your business (customer is always right, etc.) and what you can personally roll with. I always gave my guests the benefit of the doubt, refunded more than they expected if something went wrong, and went along fully with the spirit of the rules of the platform (airbnb). It worked out very well for me, and for airbnb, and I think for my guests. My experience with airbnb in Colombia (as a guest) was that most places were hosted by families, and I could understand them not being guest friendly (as in working girls as guests of guests). So I never had a problem with them per se, but it did affect my enjoyment of the stay as I didn't feel comfortable having anyone over.

Looking for a monthly rental. My budget is 750-1250 USD, maybe 1500 if its perfect. I was considering Factory Lofts, The owner said its a 3 person guest policy and 100,000 a guest after that. I am hoping that means I get 3 people who will have unlimited visits to my rental for my stay. Has anyone stayed at Factory Lofts and can confirm they would be cool with someone bringing a guest back 3-4 nights a week? I saw in an earlier post someone stated they are not guest friendly, but the listing and owner say otherwise. I would stay at Energy, but its expensive and I heard everyone who stays their is labeled a sex tourist, haha not that I care but I don't want to scare off potential non-pros. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

It is so hard to find a decent chica / guest friendly Airbnb these days. Where do you guys stay at? Is San Peter the only decent apartment building that is guest friendly? Last time I was in Medellin I stayed at the Blux but had not brought any chicas over as I was exploring casa and strip clubs scene. Next trip was planning to do mostly takeouts. So sick and tire of these "no sex tourism", "no guest", etc policies. Any options? Is Bogota any better in that regards?

There's a hotel named Haven Hotel or Haven A Design Hotel near Lleras that is very guest friendly. There are a couple small apartment rental outfits near Lleras one called Pablado Rentals and another called Victory Boutique both very guest friendly. And San Peter is a good option if you don't mind staying in Laureles rather than in Pablado.

And of course there's always Hotel M aka the mansion. Their sister building located a block uphill "the castillo" is quieter than the main mansion building. You can "bring your own" chicas if you like rather than pulling from their bar.

Energy Living is very pricey, maybe for a short stay I would do it, but I'm planning a few weeks trip and this is why I prefer to rent an apartment rather than a hotel room. Full kitchen, decent size, etc. Looks like Laureles is my best bet, I have seen a few apartments online but haven't inquired about guest policy, and no info is provided in the description.

After reading a lot about Blux and Factory Lofts and other Medellin apartments I think the new strict rules is more about limiting spreading covid19 then it is about sex tourism. I think that people staying in those apartments doesn't want a lot of people coming and going it will increase the risk of covid19. I bet the locals staying their are rich by Colombia standards. I know for a fact that in the past a couple of female telenovela stars had apartments in Blux. So they know its not safe if a guy brings girls to fuck them because we all know its not safe, you are not fucking the girls 6 feet away and with mouth mask on otherwise its no blowjob no kissing nothing. So I think the people who are staying there came with a plan to minimize covid19 in their building and they know limiting visitors means less people entering and leaving and also limiting visitors means less guys renting to bringing in girls, means less short term staying visitors. So I think those rules are temporally until covid19 gets under control in Colombia.

About Energy Building that is probably a monger place who gives a fuck the only drawback about that place is the rooms are kind of small I mean the 2 bedrooms apartments but the rest is ok but kind of expensive but it is the nicest apartment building in Medellin I have seen but I suspect it is also a covid19 hotspot.

I suspect that Blux and other apartments will relax the rules in the future a bit because they will not thrive with no business.

they know limiting visitors means less people entering and leaving and also limiting visitors means less guys renting to bringing in girls, means less short term staying visitors.I have lived here in Medellin for about 4 years. I had a battle with my HOA and Building Administrator here during the first big quarantine and won. Think about it. No person that owns property in a building is going to be told their best friend, girlfriend, fiancée, family member can't visit. Why then would you think anyone would tolerate a "no visitors" rule. They try that shit with foreigners because they don't think you will challenge it. I found out that the no visitors rule was only being applied to foreigners. Pissed off, I sent the HOA a letter accusing them of discrimination against foreigners and a violation of my rights under the Colombian constitution. I told them I was going to get a lawyer and they reversed their policy. Then they tried to say "no prostitutes" to which I responded, how do you KNOW for sure who is a prostitute? Are you prejudging people based on how they dress? If they have tats? Young? I know prostitutes that defy all those norms. I argued this was discrimination and prejudice against their own people. They backed down from that as well.

Saying all that to say, don't let these MFs push you around!

Hi has anybody stayed here, its a few minutes from San P on 42 # 72-18. As far as I can gather from my research there is no reception as that is the type of apartment I am trying to find, without any gatekeepers. If anybody has stayed here I am just looking for confirmation that there are no gatekeepers.

Thanks.

Is there one? The places already covered here have cheapness and proximity to action as their only assets. None can be considered decent hotels, decent as in a basic Holiday Inn Express, for a frame of reference. While the Nutibara has improved somewhat from years' past, the rooms still get street noise, the gym and pool have been removed, and they still have no visitor policy.

Been here since Sunday. Very guest friendly, partying seems to be allowed as neighbors have been blasting music after 2 am Every night. It is a nice hotel and right next to Parque Lleras, and it has a pretty nice heated pool so even at night when it gets cold it's enjoyable. Hot water showers every day so far.

Overall very nice. Guest has to register with front desk and if you have a 2 person room (most rooms) you have to pay 100,000 COP for each additional guest.

As far as I know you can have multiple guests a day, just that only the first guest is free but if they leave and another comes I don't think you'll have to pay for them. They aren't super strict on it though I guess it depends on who is in the front desk at the time.

I wouldn't recommend breakfast there though. It's very basic, I just used it as like a snack in the morning. There are nearby breakfast places that are much better in quality of food.

Is it better to stay in building (M1) or (M2).

Pros and Cons.

HarvestBoi
06-09-21, 02:17
It's been a while. M1 has the pool and bar so all of the drop in action is there. Tends towards a more party atmosphere. M2 is quieter and a substantial walk up the hill (some chicas won't do in their heels & insist on a taxi). From recent reports the accommodations are a bit on the tatty side but OK. IME, first timers prefer M1 where there is better chica flow. Veterans, who usually have a rotation established, prefer the mellower vibe of M2.

Pros and Cons. Are you in good physical condition. If you are the walk up the hill is trivial. But for lots of folks on here its heart attack city.

Either way you will sweat. Until you get into the shower or you wake up in the hospital. On second thought. You won't wake up in the hospital because it will be full of Covid patients.

I contacted them about making a reservation for late July.

Instead of their normal website, they directed me to: http://www.casaalejandria.com/.

It seems that they're raised their rates by an average of $14 per room. Looking at the photos it doesn't seem like they did any renovations since March 2020 when the exchange rate was nearly the same.

They still have the old / official website up with the price differences.

I just booked my plane tickets to Medellin for my 14th trip. In August for a few weeks.

I am looking for a place to stay with the following:

Hot tub / jacuzzi. Private--not shared with the whole building.

Balcony.

24/7 security that allows chicas but makes them show their sedula.

Safe neighborhood.

Reasonable price.

Not the usual buildings most mongers from the USA stay in LOL.

Any suggestions would be appreciated--post here or PM me.

I'd just like to say that I am currently staying at Hotel Du Parc in Parque Lleras and I have seen nothing at the hotel except prostitutes and single gringos. I came with my friend who is a Colombian. I got her her own room since we are just friends. And she was kept up all night by the guy next door fucking two hookers in the ass as they screamed in pain. Every time I go in or out of the hotel I see prostitutes coming or going. My friend felt like she was mistaken for a hooker many times by the guests here. I don't know if all this qualifies as 'girl friendly' but this place does seem a bit like a high end brothel. I found this surprising because I assumed a high end hotel with a strict guest policy would not have any prostitutes anywhere near the grounds. Anyways someone please correct me if I'm wrong but Hotel Du Parc definitely feels girl friendly. (FYI I am not part of the scene and haven't fucked a pro in over a decade, I just browse this site from time to time since I happen to travel to many cities known for girls).

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for aparthotels in Laureles. Ideally it would have good enough WIFI for video calls and friendly for visitors. I've stayed at San Peter before, and it's good, but would prefer to try somewhere else. Any recommendations? PMs welcomed too.

I stayed there in 2018.Very comfortable, Paisas coming and going no problem. Nice place in Poblado.I booked this place after seeing your post. But after inquiring with them got bad news. They allow only 3 guest for every 7 day period. Anything over that is $30 per. Luckily they didn't try to charge me a cancellation fee.

I'm in good shape for a black man in his early 30's that does crossfit. Does anyone here know the going rate for a girl at the masion vs the central girls. I'm trying to keep from being upcharged.Bumping this, would also like to know average P4P there and if the girls are comparable at all to what can be seen at Gustos or any of the clubs?

The centro chicas vrs the Mansion chicas are two very different venues. The Mansion chicas will get what they can (of course they all try) but probably 150 to 300 mil for an hour or so then the centro chicas are 40 to 80 mil gringo pricing.

Does anyone know of a hotel in in La Candaleria that has a sun terrace or some other such place where one can relax and sunbathe outside?

I know Nutibara has 6 rooms on the top floor w private sun terraces, but these are often fully booked.

I've been reading the posts on this thread with interest. I will be visiting Medellin for the first time in November. I am looking at Haven for a place to stay, but the more I look into my plans, the less I think I'll spend too much time around Poblado. But I want a girl-friendly hotel as that will be my plan for a few days when I need to work. Any other recent experiences of girl-friendly hotels would be appreciated, in Poblado or elsewhere. Thank you!

I used to stay in Poblado all the time. Used airbnb and stayed at the Blux as well as a couple of small places near Lleras.

The Blux was a hike to Lleras. Not so bad downhill but uphill. Man. Friendly but need ID at entrance. Never tried more than one at a time.

But I wanted a place where you do not have the walk of shame or a porter is checking on everyone coming in and out so I have switched. Mostly staying around Laureles now, a couple of times at Conquistadores. Pretty easy to get anywhere: Centro, Poblado, some casas, etc.

Search in airbnb. Some places are pretty nice. No hotel services but. Have the chica do it. LOL.

It has chica friendly hotels and motels listed. This website shows Viaggio Medellin as chica friendly place. I just stayed there, and the first chica was free because I booked for two people. However, once I brought the third and fourth chica, it was 150 k pesos per extra guest. At those prices for a guest, the Mansion is a lot cheaper.

61 Prado Hotel has excellent customer reviews. But is it chica friendly? Its website is broken and it has local phone number but does not have whatsapp number, so I am not able to communicate with it from USA to find out their guest policies. Can somebody who is in medellin find out what is their visitor policy and how much they charge per visitor? Its number is +57 604 2549753.

During my previous visit to Melellin couple of weeks ago, I had booked Hotel Laureles Plaza assuming that it is chica friendly, but found out after I checked in that they charge 50 k for every visitor. I had booked it for 7 days but I checked out within 48 hours due to their guest policy, but they refused to refund the money I pre-paid for 7 days. Overnight, I had to find another hotel that was chica-friendly. Luckily, Hotel nutibara had vacancies and a deal at $31/ day. But Nutibara is sold out in December during my dates. So I have to look for another chicka-friendly hotel near el centro. 61 Prado is only 1 km away from ground zero, and it has nice reviews but I need help from local person to call 61 Prado hotel and find out their chica policy. Appreciate the help.

Somehow finding a GFE hotel has seems more difficult in Medellin in many other countries.

In Poblado and Laureles, Most hotels restrict to one free guest.

And charge for additional guests.

Are there any hotels that allow 2-3 guests free of cost on same day?

Can someone please chime in? Thanks in advance.I have to say no, after much research for my trip next month. Your best best is Airbnb. Because I plan on spending most of my mongering time in el centro, the one a day policy isn't an issue for me. I booked a week at Factory Lofts in Laureles but they only allow 3 guests over a weeks stay. After three, it's 100 mil per guest. There are a few Airbnb's I ran into that actually had no doorman or security, giving you complete control but you also give up some security.

I've read and heard Laureles isn't as safe as it was pre-pandemic. I like the neighborhood because good restaurants and markets are within walking distance (without the hills of El Poblado). I'm likely arriving on Friday from Bogota. Will it be difficult or ridiculously expensive to find an apartment with 24 security for a month over the holiday? I took a look at AirBNB and the prices seemed very high with limited offerings. Are there mid-priced hotel rooms available or will their prices skyrocket?

Any apartment alternatives to AirBNB. (That's what I do in Bogota and love it).
