I've read and heard Laureles isn't as safe as it was pre-pandemic. I like the neighborhood because good restaurants and markets are within walking distance (without the hills of El Poblado). I'm typically not afraid anywhere I want to go in Colombia, but I know Bogota far better than Medellin. Any thoughts on the notion that Laureles is more dangerous now? Thanks. It's still safe.

Hey!

I'm going to be in Medellin for the first time this weekend. Any recommendations for guest-friendly hotels? I'm looking for $100-$150 range / night.I stay at Haven in Provenza. It is the nicest guest friendly hotel in that area. Coming out of the pandemics they had some service issue with shortage of towels (management told me about some story about lack of parts for an imported commercial laundry machine) but it is fixed now. I had no issues when I was just there. This place has good beds and absolutely the best showers. Many jacuzzi rooms in your price range. Also, Take your date to their roof top. She will love it.

I've visited Colombia multiple times, this time I'm going with a party of 6- 9 guests. One of my friends is asking if we can find a mansion (Large house) to host us. Any suggestions? This will be a Friday. Monday visit.Viktory Boutique hotel comes to mind. It has 9 bedrooms with a private pool. In Provenza. Location can't be beat. I don't have contact info. Google map search is the easiest way to find.

In expensive and no issue with girls with ID, non Colombians might need 2 ID's.

I've done about 9 trips to BOG over the last year. I've found that my biggest problem with mongering in Colombia is finding a decent hotel that is also girl friendly. I like soft, fluffy towels, nice bed linens, and working climate control. After trying quite a few places, I settled on the Hyatt Place. They check IDs but there is no charge regardless of how many girls you bring per day (I shoot for 3/ day on my trips). Is there anything similar in MDE? Are any American chains girl friendly (or have a reasonable fee)?

I stayed for a couple nights at the Holiday Inn express (I came a couple days earlier than planned) which is a good location. I had an awesome room. There is a pretty good breakfast up on the roof included- it was only about $65 a night. I was talking to a couple fellas and they said there was no trouble and no charge getting girls in. It was really good value and I almost went back there but I opted for Provenza Lofts. Which the girls seem quite impressed with. Me - meh. If I was yanking them out of Lleras it would be great but I am now very jaded about Lleras.

Experienced guys,

When a woman comes to see you at San Peter's apartments, do you need to go to reception to register her and escort her up or is she allowed to take the elevator if you let security know.

And is having two chicks come to your room OK or does management frown at this practice or wants extra $$?

And at times they have not allowed more than 1 at a time. But others may have a different experience. And it is not about extra $$. Offering extra $ at that place could go the other way I suspect. As in get you booted. But I don't know. That's just my impression. Units are all owned by individual owners and I suspect the owners would not condone bribery.

During Covid's peak they didn't allow two visitors at a time but last time (August) two girls at a time was ok. Yes they have to register their Cedula or passports. No you don't have to go down, they can go up on their own. The front desk people don't really care about it unless you are causing a disturbance. I had two girls stay the night twice on my last visit and plan to repeat when I visit in January.

Looking for a nice accommodation (hotel / airbnb) that is chica friendly around el Poblado, I've done some research but some are outdated info / some places are out of my budget. Could anyone help me out please?

I saw a report saying that you could bring a girl and bypass the front desk if you wanted to. Is that data outdated? Does anybody know the chica fee if you do register your girl?

I'm planning to bang 2 SA girls per day in my room and want to minimize the fees.

The reason you register a girl is so you don't get drugged and robbed. Be Smart!

Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

Here is my ideal situation:

24 hour security.

Private balcony.

Private hot tub / jacuzzi.

King bed (because I'm a king).

I've found everything but king bed (Haven), I've found everything but 24 hour security (non-compromisable), I've found multiples with a balcony but no jacuzzi and vice versa.

Budget is not a huge issue, but for example Charlee is out of my range. I don't want to spend more than 1200 USD for the 7-night stay.

Hi,

Before the covid craziness I was planning a trip and using a website that had a number of GF pads in Poblado.

I can't remember the url or find it on here now. The background colour was a sort of tan brown and it had everything from windowless bolt holes to rooftop studios.

Can anyone remind me of the URL, and is it still a reliable resource?

Many thanks!

This can't be an unsolvable problem.I just came back a couple of weeks ago so this info is current. At check-in, and at the bottom lost in what you sign as part of check-in, is a clause that says you agree that if you bring an unregistered guest to your room, there is a penalty of $200. I asked the GM about this later and he explained that they just are not girl friendly and this is meant to discourage any guest from bringing a chica to their room.

Here is my ideal situation:
24 hour security.
Private balcony.
Private hot tub / jacuzzi.
King bed (because I'm a king).Found 2! But neither chica friendly confirmed via whatsapp / email. By this I mean, terra biohotel will charge you an extra 100 k after the first guest (if it's a different person) and for hotel casa Victoria it's 60 k after your first registered guest.

Terra BioHotel and Hotel Casa Victoria. Both beautiful places, with amazing views, jacuzzi in the room, awesome balconies. If you are coming here and only planning on seeing one or two ladies, this might be the spot. But I have bigger plans.

Keep posting info guys!

Many thanks!Could be poblado rentals. Search pobladorentals dot com. Stayed in some of his units in the past, but not since pandemic. Have no idea if he is still operating. He has units of his own and others he manages for investors or owners. Not on airbnb in the past but may show on other types of sites.

Yes, I believe you have to go down to reception and she certainly does have to register with her cedula.
And at times they have not allowed more than 1 at a time. But others may have a different experience. And it is not about extra $$. ..... I suspect the owners would not condone bribery.

As a frequent San Peter tenant over the last 4 years, I've never had to go down to reception to usher a girl into the elevator. Reception normally just calls my room to confirm that the lady is expected. Occasionally, if I've told reception that I'm expecting a guest in half an hour, they let her come up to my apartment without calling first. When your chica exits, sometimes, but rarely, reception calls to check that all's serene.

Important to keep in mind: the San Peter management is much stricter about acceptable chica IDs than most hotels. In particular, if you're expecting a Venezuela, it's best to confirm with reception in advance that her form of identification will pass muster. The management (and ladies in reception) are straight-shooters (in a good way), and, I agree that offering a bribe to circumvent the house rules would most likely backfire.

The park is closed because of construction. That doesn't have any impact on chicas in the area. Since Colombia opened after the Covid pandemic, it has been illegal for chicas to solicit in the park.

You might try Orange Suites, Haven Hotel or Hotel Du Parc.

I didn't notice as obvious of a police presence in Parque Lleras as in years past, but mostly I was just passing through on my way to Provenza. There usually are police around, but mostly they are unobtrusive.

The hotel looks new and clean but when I inquired about their guest policy here is what I received (screenshots attached) looks like only 1 guest per day is allowed and no 2nd guest -.

"About the guest policy, the room you are booking is for 2 people which is the amount allowed inside the room, also you can receive all your visitors in our common areas. ".

"Normally it has to be the same person you register in the check in, but we can make the exception and allow you one different person per day (as long as they register in the reception with the original document). About the third person, as I told you the room is just for 2 people which is the maximum amount allowed inside the room. ".

Anyone have experience with staying this long / have recs of places worth staying at?

Safety, walkable to gym / bars and the hot tub / workspace set up are priority for me.$113 US a night and it's a studio? Not even a separate bedroom? And housekeeping once a week? Not so much value there hoss.

Any idea if Hotel Cavalta in the Laureles. Estadio area is guest friendly? Is the area safe?

Any recs (can DM me) for staying a month in Poblado (just me + 2-3 guests on a good day).

My budget is flexible (4 k / month for lodging) and was looking at places like this that look to be guest friendly just as a function of how they are set up to rent.

Safety, walkable to gym / bars and the hot tub / workspace set up are priority for me.In that area with your requirements, hot tub included, you will not find many under that price I suspect. At least I have never seen any. Looking at the pictures it may be a studio but it looks like the bedroom area can be closed off with the curtain. BUT you will want to confirm with the owner or whoever is the contact on the Airbnb that you can bring in guests, and how many. It may be attached to the owner's house, or whatever. Best confirm that before you put out your money because on Airbnb you will not get it back.

Hi guys,

Was wondering, if hotel Dan Carlton is completely girl friendly, I emailed hotel already with no response yet! I believe I read somewhere.

It is but can't find article that I read! Anyone that knows their policies would be appreciated, of course I'll book for two!

I posted below and still having a hard time getting a sense for what I should book. Could someone give me advice? 4-6 weeks, willing to spend 4 k per month for lodging where I can work out of there, have guests freely and not just be at a hotel made for mongering. Would anyone have any recommendations on the area or specific links. Feel free to shoot me a message.

Making plans to visit Medellin for the first time. Thought I would keep it simple and stay at the Mansion for guaranteed good time. They only have email booking and encourage you to pay in cash. Since this is a mongering hotel, it would be more private to use my mongering name and email, but I assume they will require my passport / real name to check in. Thoughts?

But of note, $4 k in Colombia is like $12 k in the USA For lodging. Even on Airbnb you should be able to get a really nice set up in Poblado for < $2500/ mth. In Laureles for < $1500/ mth.

So, call me crazy or paranoid, but I am a little hesitant to give my real name at a hotel that is famous for mongering. I'm thinking about alternatives. After reading the last year of posts, it looks like Hotel Du Parc and Hotel Dann Carlton are pretty swanky and girl friendly (please pipe up if you have newer info that they are charging guest fees). Anyone willing to comment on the differences between staying at the Mansion versus picking one of these nicer hotels? Is the Mansion a nonstop party not to be missed, or is a discrete stay at a Du Parc or Dann Carlton a better choice? Will I be kicking myself for missing out on the Mansion? Are the girls so good there that I don't even need to leave the property? Or is it a low rent place with mediocre girls? If I snag prepagos girls and girls from Park Lleras and bring them back to Dann Carlton, will that be better? The price difference is not a factor for me. I want a peak experience. Which one would you pick?

Please be generous. I always give meaty field reports. Check out my recent reports from London or Tenerife if you thinking of being stingy with info.

F. So here's a shorter response. Mansion. Not a non-stop party unless you want it to nube, which means actually ordering girls via FB. At which po8 nt you might as well stay someplace nicer for the money. I like the ease of picking a girl. At the pool during the day (maybe 3-5), or at the bar at night (6-15). Quality varies, but I usually find at least one that works for me. But I will grade on a curve. Accommodations are, at best, ok. I like there are guys to hang with during down times. I don't always stay there, and some will denigrate the place. But it really depends on what your preferences are. It's relatively expensive, but easier.

It's relatively expensive, but easier.I'm not a Mansion fan, but if it's your first time in Medellin AND if you are a poor Spanish speaker then it is worth starting there, even if for 2-3 days. Of note, there is M2 (Mansion 2) which is a separate house that they own up the hill (steep hill) maybe a 3-4 minute walk away. It also has a pool and is more low key and discrete. You will need to go to M1 (Mansion 1) the main house for checking in, breakfast, and girls. The rooms are overpriced, but it's a nice spot to get your feet wet and pick up some knowledge from others as well as find someone to do some hunting with.

The only times that I would say not to stay there is if it is the begging of the week, like Sunday to Tuesday as I don't think they'll have much action, if any.

I've never stayed at the Dann Carlton, but I understand it's girl friendly if you're not to crazy. Many other hotels don't allow more than one name and then charge you for a night, especially the western chains.

Buildings that tend to be more open are Energy, the San Pedro apartments, and Poblado Rentals.

I've stayed at the Mansion many times. I've also stayed at hotels and apartments / AirbNBs. IMO the key factor in whether to stay at the Mansion is if you want fellow hobbyists to hang around with. If you don't need that, you're better off staying somewhere else where you get a nicer living space for less money. The talent of the women on average is nothing special, though I usually find one that I like. Once in a while, the bar is really good (eg the owner's birthday, which can be whenever he decides!), but frequently it's not that great. Of course staying there doesn't preclude one from going out to casas, strip clubs, Centro street scene, etc. Or having Facebook chicas come over.

I like the place as it provides me sort of a social structure. Have breakfast with like-minded guests and share info. You automatically have wingmen to hit a strip club or go out to dinner. I also know the staff and that makes me feel at home. If you need this type of sociable setting, it makes sense to stay there. If not (or if you're traveling with friends), there's no reason to stay there.

And I'll add that there are always a few guest that speak Spanish, including myself.

Thanks for the prompt responses. I really appreciate it. I'm leaning toward the Mansion, since the social aspect of chatting with other mongers and the east access to a few girls during the afternoon while swimming in the pool sounds pretty optimal. No one mentioned how much they trust the management with their real name etc. Am I being paranoid? Are they trustworthy?

I've been reading literally the last 100 pages of the Medellin reports thread and learned almost nothing. It is amazing how many posts aren't even remotely useful to a new visitor. I always RTFF, but I feel like 100 pages should be enough. If there isn't actionable intelligence in 100 pages, then there should be an idiot's guide inserted every 100 pages.

I completely trust management with anything. They are organized and willing to help you with whatever. You do need to make reservations in advance to stay at M1 and not hop room to room. I make mine 6 mo and most times a year in advance to get my preferred room. I was just there this month for a week. There was from 6-12 chicas that hung at the pool during the afternoons and about 12-30 at night in the bar. Pretty good selection all shapes and sizes. ST runs about 200-250 k. What I like about the Mansion is that you can hang with like minded individuals between your sessions. Guys there are always making casa runs, strip club runs, and Parque Lleras late night. You can get all kinds of info just from Being with all the guys. Most are very friendly and eager to help first timers. The Mansion is also located in the middle of the financial district of Medellin, so most everything around it is a higher class. Tons of ATM's all around as well as 2 major malls within 6 blocks and tons of restaurants everywhere. Rooms there are average as mentioned, but clean and well maintained. Hope this helps you.

I also have quite a bit of experience with the mansion. I used to stay there quite a bit when I first started mongering in Medellin. I agree with Husker Dude, but would like to add my own comments. I never liked M1, too noisy for me.

I remember one night I had just arrived late at night. Just as I started to fall asleep, two girls seemingly drunk were knocking on my door. One of them lost her phone and thought it was in my room. I let her look around for a minute then I kicked her out. Five minutes later she was back knocking on my door. She even forgot that she was there earlier. This time I called security and that was the end of it. But I wasted close to an hour dealing with those 2 drunk chicks.

They had one room in M1, #10 I think. Impossible to sleep while the bar is open. Not sure if it's still the case.

When I stayed at M2, I felt that I did not lose much. I had access to all available girls, and no-one objected to going to M2. Some of them even walked with me from M1 to M2.

I thought the facilities were below average. After I moved to apartment lodging, I never went back to the mansion, except to attend parties or to visit buddies staying there.

The new sound system in the bar at M1 is quite powerful and you can hear it from many of the rooms. The pool is also better at M2. The one at M1 is so cold that hardly anyone uses it.

I've taken girls from the bar to M2 and some didn't want to wait for a taxi and just took off their high heels and hiked up the hill with me.

Second time in Medellin, now looking for a chic place with a in unit or off unit jacuzzi that doesn't charge guest fees and his guest friendly. Found many nice place it's just hard to confirm there policy as they barely state them or answer emails. I already am sure about about Dix, Haven but unsure about Du parc or park 10 , Don Carlton which I am interested in. Any Airbnb around parque Lleras with the same accommodation would be nice too, but it's hard to confirm guest policy. Any recommendations would be appreciated down to split my stays between hotels just in case, last time I was there ended up having to pay additional fees since I didn't know better.

You had to book a room for two even though you were going solo and then you could have women guests for free? When you say you had to pay for the second chica do you mean when you had two chicas at the same time or when a different chica than earlier in the day? Is this what is meant by chica friendly? I thought chica friendly is when the hotel (or place or whatever) let's you bring a chica in for free as long as they have a cedula.

But in all cases the chicas have to stop at the desk and have their ID checked and recorded. That is for your protection.

As for which hotels. It can change over time, and may depend a bit on the layout of the hotel. Lots have been discussed here on this forum.

I will create a separate post with information I read or found to see if that helps people like me.The problem is that it is not clear even with the hotels themselves. And not always consistent. If you ask the hotel before you book the question may get lost or ignored, but you find out when you get there. Which may not be to your liking. And one person reporting on their experience may not be the experience for the next person. And some that post here are not "rule abiding" guests, and as long as they got away with it they might say it is chica friendly. When in fact the hotel does not want chicas being brought in, but sometimes tolerates it. I am a person that is not comfortable with that, I guess I don't like the uncertainty as to whether I can or can't bring in a chica.

There are some rental places that are set up with this business in mind and mongers are target customers. On Airbnb you need to read all the host house rules, and usually they have something about bringing in non-registered guests. Of course if you register a specific guest when you book the Airbnb you are generally OK. Although they will not always treat that person the same as if it was you and your wife on vacation, for example. I have had to go down to the guard station on some buildings to assure the guard that this person was registered with me and is a normal paying guest you might say. That is, of course, a technicality, but they will at least allow her to be treated as a live in girlfriend or something like that.

Your comment that many posts aren't even remotely useful to you comes across badly. No one says they need to be useful to you. No one guarantees that they will be anything to you. And it certainly does not inspire people to try to help you out.

Your comment that many posts aren't even remotely useful to you comes across badly. No one says they need to be useful to you. No one guarantees that they will be anything to you. And it certainly does not inspire people to try to help you out.Your response "illustrates the problem". Rather than helpfully answering my questions, you bother to write a whole paragraph chastising me.

I have written long and detailed trip reports on ISG of my trips to Tenerife, Malaga, London, Makati, Madrid, Barcelona, Berlin, Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Frankfurt, Panama, Bogota, Cartagena, Gran Canaria, Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiangmai. The list goes on.

I don't appreciate your condescending comments. The board is only worthwhile if newbies can read it and get actionable intelligence. No one can be expected to read over 100 pages to find out simple answers to key questions. Thank god we finally have "stupid shit" threads on many of the local threads of ISG. That has cleaned up a lot of the nonsense.

If I continue to get comments like yours, I'll simply stop submitting trip reports.

I just came back a couple of weeks ago so this info is current. At check-in, and at the bottom lost in what you sign as part of check-in, is a clause that says you agree that if you bring an unregistered guest to your room, there is a penalty of $200. I asked the GM about this later and he explained that they just are not girl friendly and this is meant to discourage any guest from bringing a chica to their room.If you register a chica each and every time would be ok or is there a penalty still?

If it was about whether you could trust the management of the Mansion with your personal information. Perhaps that was a question. I don't have any information on that, but I did feel that question was answered. Anyway, I believe that I generally try to answer questions for which I have something to contribute, and generally ignore those where I have nothing to contribute. I was commenting on how your post came across to me. And that was not terribly useful to you, so if the admin wishes to delete it I would be very much ok with that.

I respect the value of other members' time (and yours specifically) and never post a question until I have read at least a year's worth of posts, but on the Medellin thread, that would be literally 550 pages. Perhaps I came across as entitled or ungrateful, let's be honest: No one will ever read 550 pages of posts just to find the lay of the land in new mongering grounds. I read 100 and gave up. I'll probably just end up relying on intel from the guys I meet at the Mansion.

Maybe the senior members on the Medellin thread could nominate more posts to "Reports of Distinction". That would prevent sincere newbies like me from asking dumb questions about Medellin. ISG is a priceless resource and I am hugely grateful it exists. But unlike any thread I've read on ISG. Reading the Medellin thread is like a looking for a needle in 550 haystacks.

You are both right actually LOL. One one hand this board is a guide, but it's just a title and no one is obligated to hold any new monger's hand so to speak. And on the other hand, if one person asks you to read or not sharing anything specific, just keep reading till you get your answer cause I can promise you it's here, or wait for another to reply. It's really that simple. This is by far one of the top monger boards or for our hobby. But unfortunately it's not going to be organized like a library with exact search strings. On my first trip to mde I found like 60% of info I needed, and the rest in 3 different travel sites.

So patience patience. Everything is here as new updated info is posted daily.

My friend emailed Blux apartment and Ayamonte / Provenza Life apartment and it looks like they have a guest policy of max 4 guest a week. That's is for the 2 bedroom apartment. We are looking for a guest friendlier 2 bedroom apartment.

We looked at some property at Energy Living which looks dope, but most are 1 bedroom apartment and they tried to make a second bedroom somewhere in the apartment. So you have a big room and a small room with movable walls that act as a door. We are looking for a 2 bedroom same size and preferable with 2 bath. The only option we have seen is at the penthouse but its a 3 bedroom and it is hella expensive.

Anyone stay there lately? Did haven change their guest policies? Sounds like you can only have one guest per day, after that a few is charged?I stayed at Haven recently. Yes one visitor is free of charge per day, per bedroom (they have multi bedroom suites). They charge for the second visitor but for me personally that is not a big deal. As I do find HAVEN to be a good value. Single room is half to a third the cost of Marriott, Charlie or Click clack and visitor charge is pretty high in these other hotels. I believe it is the only hotel in the city with 2, 3 and 4 bedroom suites at great value. If there are other hotels with multi bedroom suites and living rooms please let me know as I typically travel with friends and don't want to deal with Airbnb in residential towers.

Since it is a change I asked management about it. They said it is also pressure from local hotel association on more popular hotels and larger hotels to have some charge so as not to look like implicit promotion of sex tourism. Blah blah. Whatever. But I do see more locals on the Haven roof top and besides my girls love to swim in their roof top pool for cool IG photos.

The guys working there could be angry that they do not have a chance with her moneywise and she is not with a local.

The girls working there may be jealous of her bling (clothes, phone, jewelry).

Now this is a very far reach but maybe just maybe they are all jealous because you are such a hot commodity. Yes, all the gay guys too.

Hotel Du Parc. Post # 1321.Unfortunately, Hotel Du Parc does not appear to have an in-room Jacuzzi. If anyone knows of one I would appreciate the heads up! This is my second trip to Columbia and I am going to be spending time with a fantastic skinny girl I met last time through Seeking Arrangement. Catching them when they are first dipping their toes in the water (so to speak) offers more future options.

I stayed at Hotel Du Parc for a week in August. It was a great hotel with many perks, but I don't think I'll go back.

First the pros:

Very friendly staff.

Fantastic breakfast buffet included.

Guests were impressed.

Clean.

Spacious room.

Cons:

Expensive.

Not more than one guest per day without a substantial guest fee.

Vast majority of other guests were not there to enjoy guests.

When I plan on going again I'll most likely spend my time at either an AirBnB or dedicated mongering hotel. The costs (to me) weren't justified. I also called and they said that unlimited guests wouldn't be a problem with no fees, so when I get there and there is a fee it kinda ticked me off. It could be that my Spanish was terrible though.

(I also have no idea why the site is inserting extra returns) .

I can report that the Hampton by Hilton Medellin is at least somewhat girl friendly. The lobby is on the 14th floor, so there's no need to bring your girl to the front desk. Sometimes there is a door man who checks IDs, other times you can walk right in. I've brought the same girl every day, but she is not registered to my room or anything. I don't know how they would react to different girls every day or multiple girls, but it seems that they are ok with guests if you keep it low key.

Both eventually left when they realized they were not getting more money. I've picked up two chicas from the Parque Lleras area, and one was a real problem. A problem for foreign mongers is you can't make any red mark on them because they will claim you attacked them. I have heard the police almost always side with the chica if there is a confrontation.

There have been numerous reports of Tinder chicas robbing and drugging mongers. My advice is to take any Tinder chica to a short-term motel.

Orange Travellers Suites Pros:

-you can just have girls come in and out almost as much as you want (I booked for 2 and never had more than one guest at a time).

-the breakfast is pretty damn good (and if you book for two, you get two breakfasts) - highly recommend the egg florentines.

-the view from the rooftop is nice and the jacuzzi and turco were barely used while I was there (more on this later).

-priced pretty well for what you get. The room service and cleaning is good, the kitchen has a lot of good stuff to cook with, minibar is reasonable.

-The double shower / bathroom setup is nice. You can give your guests their own bathroom entirely.

Cons:

-The jacuzzi is tiny. You can't sit in it, your abdomen will be mostly exposed. I don't understand this travesty of a hot tub.

-Out of the 4 times I booked the jacuzzi, it was hot 0 of those times. 0/4 times did I even have a warm jacuzzi.

-the Turkish bath smells funny and takes 30 minutes at least to get to a usable temperature.

-the layout of the room I got was weird (it was a superior). Like there's a couch facing a blank wall, and a tv in front of the bed. Idk, not my favorite setup.

-I didn't love this area of Poblado. Felt sketchy, and one time a guy just accosted me and my date for change while we were waiting for the receptionist to push the button to let us in.

I *might* book again, but only if I'm getting an apartment facing the back (less music noise on weekends). But I hated the jacuzzi experience so idk. Might need to just shell out for a month at energy LOL. The hot tubs at the motels are better.

Many people have been drugged from that site.

I've been staying at Energy Living since Friday. It was highly recommended by other members and I agree. It caters to foreigners and is a higher end apartment building for about $110/ night. It was actually cheaper than nearby hotels and the rooms are actual apartments with full kitchens. It has a great restaurant on the ground floor, a rooftop pool, and security around the clock. It's 100% guest friendly, no visitor fees as long as the number of occupants are within the apartment max, and requires physical ID to enter.

Bonus points: it has hot water.

Be aware that it's filled with foreigners, many who are here to party, so it might get loud on the weekends, but they have a strict no noise policy after 10 pm. Repeated violations cost 1. 000.000 COP. The guys below me were loud on Friday night and played music on their balcony. But it wasn't a problem after the first night and I went out every night anyway.

Some places charges you for each new guest. Maybe someone need to try the new building called Wake. I heard that bringing guest is free until 10 pm if they stay after 10 pm it is 70 usd extra for each.

How many people did you book for?Sorry for the delayed response. I was on a self-imposed vacation from international mongering. LOL.

I booked it for 2. So I guess I should say my first "guest" was free. But they would count as the other booked guest. That may work for some and like I said, really nice place.

Yes. Yes. And yes.Another guy on this forum told me the same for this hotel which is even cheap! But this hotel looks very old! Do the girls go easily to this hotel?

Because I'll go there for the first time, and I want to bring sexy girls in my room, and colombian pornstars, escorts.

Do you think high sexy girls will go there easily? What do you think of the breakfast?

In the past I have stayed at Estelar Blue and Estelar Apartamentos. The suites are a nice size and have balconies-essential for weed smoking.

They are chica friendly and only make me pay a fee when they stay late at night (Apartamentos now charges 20 bucks /100 kcop day or night for guests).

These hotels used to be-even up until last summer-- about 60 US per night--now they are 100 or more. Ridiculous.

I am looking for a suggestion fro a hotel with balcony, kitchen / kitchenette 500 or more square feet, 24/7 security that is chica friendly but checks ID and pays attention. For a normal reasonable Colombian price. Not US prices LOL.

Any ideas??

Thanks!

There are other reviews of Ibiza, I wanted to share my current experience (within the last month).

In my opinion, the best way to have an encounter with someone you don't know well. The place is secure and I went to the original location (there is another one near el Estadio called Ibiza West) so depending where you are, you can position yourself for success.

For those familiar with love motels, its the standard setup, different sized rooms offering additional privacy (parking, etc) but I arrived in an Uber, the guard made me roll down the windows to look at my chica, you ask at the window which rooms are available and they give you a number to pull up to.

Suite M was economical, all room rates are based on 6 hrs, everything you need is there or available for purchase, drink, food, condoms, etc. I liked the sex chair and the light show with the sound system. It made the chica feel like she's giving a show and we sure made use of it.

The exit was equally as easy, you pay thru a discreet small door and you can have your car waiting outside by the entrance. Since I had separate cars, I waited in their waiting room for my car to arrive. Don't risk bringing them back to your place where the unknown lies. The city has this great infrastructure, I wouldn't hesitate using it again to mitigate potential issues with chicas you just met.

Just wanted to say that I had was in Medellin a few months ago and had no issues with guess. I paid for 2 people instead of 1 and no issues. Figured it was only a few bucks so it was worth it. Only one hotel had some initial issues but upon review realized I had booked for 2 people. At this same hotel I had two guess I'm one night but not at the same time and they were okay. Never tried a threesome.

I was worried but didn't have any issues. I stayed at budget hotels so nothing luxurious.

To get your bearings on the layout of the city, I suggest taking the Turibus Tour. It starts at the Parque Poblado at 9 am and 1 pm. It last around three hours. Tel: 371 50 54. www.turibuscolombia.com.

In February, I had a reservation for two at Hotel Dix. I emailed them and they said guests were allowed. However, when I attempted to have a Venezuelan visitor, I was told only Columbian visitors were allowed. This eliminates many of the available woman. Because of this, I only stayed one night.

On the positive side, the rooms were modern (albeit small), the staff was friendly, the location was great, and the breakfast adequate.

There are a few different times. I think they have 2 or 3 of these running at any given time and you can take an earlier one, and then get off at some point and pick back up with a later one, at least that was the case last time I was on it. There are 4 or 5 stops along the tour before you are back to your starting point. I have done this in the past to check out an area, and then get back on the next one that comes through.

Hey everyone. J.

Just wondering if anybody has a good recommendation for an airbnb apartment, similar to San peter, which is chica friendly in Laureles.

San Peter is way too noisy, makes it hard to sleep late in the night. Ideally I would prefer it to be just 2-3 blocks away form LA 70, preferably near exito.

Thanks everyone!

I would think one of the big advantages of AirBNB is that the company will not process a damage claim without proper documentation while I have heard horror stories about not getting a deposit back if you book directly. Are there reputable companies in Medellin that one can rely on them returning the deposit without hassle?

I'm looking in Laureles an Poblado by the way.

Thanks.

Thanks everyone!I rented an Airbnb in Laureles a few weeks ago. It had a king size bed with an ac. There was another bedroom with twin beds and 2 bathrooms with a shower. It had a key card lock for entry into the building and security cameras. The host Pablo was cool and having a guest everyday wasn't a problem. It's a 5th floor apt that cost me $500 for the week without a deposit.

Thanks everyone!I was in Medellin- Laureles a few weeks ago and had a really nice Airbnb that was guest friendly. A quiet neighborhood and no security. To get in you need a electronic key card. It's on the 5th floor pretty modern with a king size bed another room with 2 twins. It also has 2 full bathrooms. I stayed for 7 days and paid $500. I never actually met the host but would text when I had questions. Pablo was pretty cool he let me check in early.

I will be Medellin this week but will stay in another Airbnb that has a jacuzzi.

I just got back from a second trip to Medellin. I was last there 4 weeks ago and the Airbnb was great. For some reason I tried a different Airbnb in Laureles and the experience was not as good. It had a Jacuzzi so I though "that's cool" but when I arrived they were still cleaning it and when they were done it was too complicated to bother with.

This place was much smaller than my last place it was more like a loft or studio. The kitchen was small and fridge was the size of a bucket. Not the worst part (it's coming) there were two separate flights of stairs that I didn't like. The host was very standoffish (more on that).

The dude was telling me that after I wiped my ass I couldn't flush it down the toilet. There was a bucket next to the toilet that was the size of a small brown bag. He looked at me said "I had to take it outside and up the block on Monday and Wednesday. I was like "Ok yeah sure. ".

After he left I noticed there were signs over the toilet saying use the trash bucket that's what it's for. I was taken aback when I saw a sign on the door that depicted a red heel and statement of "say no to the sex tourist" I was offended. I flushed all of toilet paper down that toilet.

The next time I will pay attention to where I rent!

The next time I will pay attention to where I rent!Nice guy. Plugging up their toilets. Typical ugly tourist attitude. Apparently you have not travelled much, but toilets and sewage systems were not designed for flushing down toilet paper and that is the rule everywhere in these countries. And the "no sex tourism" campaign is common. If you stay in an Airbnb you have to check the house rules and confirm that visitors will be allowed. It is not automatic. So yes, next time pay attention. And a little respect will go a long way.

BTW, there was no rules against having guests just a maximum of 2 people staying and no parties. They can't rebuild their septic system just to be nice to gringos. Systems that were not designed for toilet paper plug up very easily. Partly because the building code allowed for smaller sewage pipes. Major hotels that cater to tourists have equipment to deal with toilet paper, but it is very unreasonable to expect that in a home or an apartment. They train their kids how to use the toilet in all of these countries, but I guess you take that information as an insult or rudeness.

As far as visitors, yes, most of the time the house rules have it in there. Once in a while it is talked about in the description or stuff about safety. But if there are no rules, and they just have the sign up, that is a bit strange. Often there will be something about laws around minors, which is no problem in my opinion. But the "say no to sex tourism" thing is a big push in Colombia, and I've seen those posters in some of the hotels as well.

Mexico, all of centro America, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador are all "bucket countries. " If you can't handle that, don't go there.

And of course very few in Central or South America would tell you that in person, although there are signs about it in many bathrooms everywhere. And many places assume you would know that, since every child in Colombia would know that. Anyway. Now you know. And it's not that hard to do.

....Not everywhere. I once clogged the toilet of a Mexican friend in Miami. Very embarrassing. If I remember right in Colombia and Peru the stinky disposal bin next to the toilet is compulsory. Why don't they generalise butt sprays like in Asia? Problem would be solved.

Hello all,

I have been to Medellin 4-5 times and always stayed at the mansion. Loved the fact that it was safe and there were experienced mongers to hang out with every day. However, increasingly, I feel like I am well connected with girls on Facebook or like to pick them up from Lleras park / Gusto. So, don't really pickup much from Mansion's bar anymore.

I will want to hence stay at Luxury hotels (nice room / good food / jacuzzi in room etc.) in Medellin going forward. High cost of hotel is not a concern. Which hotels are near LLeras park, and are super nice but are chica friendly as well (and don't give me any headaches or asks for fees to bring different girls every day)? I have heard of Marquee hotel, but didn't find anything mentioned in this forum about it if it is girl friendly or not. Please suggest.

Haven is a small hotel and rooms are smaller than Click Clack (very good upscale option with very few jacuzzi rooms), but definitely Haven is way more guest friendly at almost half the price for the rooms. Since you are asking for high end, I would say that I one day plan to splurge for one of Haven's penthouses. They are classy. For the most upscale option, Wake is hard to beat, but it is an Airbnb. I like daily cleaning so I prefer hotels. That is a personal choice.

That would be the safe assumption. Or contact them and ask. Anything said on here is almost useless when it comes to that. Some guys just ignore whatever rules the hotel has, and may get away with it. Doesn't mean anything for someone else. Plus the hotels are constantly changing their rules about this. And the same even more so for Airbnb's. Every host has their own rules, so you have to read the "house rules" section and the whole listing basically. And ask the host to be sure.

I like daily cleaning so I prefer hotels. That is a personal choice. Thanks! Haven was suggested to me by someone else as well. I will definitely check it out. I am assuming by 'way more guest friendly', you mean that I can have multiple girls visit on different days, and the hotel staff will not give me any pains (e. G, guest fees)?

I am looking for a girl friendly room with a jacuzzi. I have messaged Wake, Haven, Selis, Epic, and a few AirBnBs. I am hoping to hear more from personal experience. I am down to share my resources. Please do share your learnings here. I am interested in this as well.

Haven on Calle 10 A is a solid 4 star Jacuzzi hotel option. I heard they just started 24 HR room service, and 24 HR room service is rare in Zona Rosa hotels. How is Wake? Have you stayed there? They seem pretty strict with their guest policy. I messaged them and they responded:

- Visitors are only allowed until 10 pm.

- People inside the apartment must never exceed the capacity of the apartment.

1 room - 2 people.

2 room - 4 people.

3 room - 6 people.

But this is what I got after having messaged them:

Wake seems very strict:

- Visitors are only allowed until 10 pm.

- People inside the apartment must never exceed the capacity of the apartment.

1 room - 2 people.

2 room - 4 people.

3 room - 6 people.

Epic's Guest Policy reads: Maximum occupancy in all rooms is 2 people. If your registered guest changes during your stay a $50 USD charge will be applied for each guest change to your room.

Selis (new hotel) seems cool and I am likely to book that one (but their tubs do not seem to be jetted). At Selis, you are allowed one guest per day and any extra guests that day are at a rate of 200 K COP.

Haven is also guest friendly At Haven: Depending on the maximum capacity of the room, if that is exceeded and / or the visitors are changed during the day, 120.000 COP are charged per extra visitor.

There are a few AirBnBs that I liked, however, they lack a door person. As I mentioned before, I like someone checking IDs, as it is just another security measure. I like Haven's policy best but I like the look and feel of Wake the most (but I hate their policy the most. LOL). I was really hoping to hear from folks personal experiences to gauge how strict they adhere to their stated policy.

How do I book Energy rooms? I searched on expedia and it seems to have 1-2 listings for Energy's few apartments. Can I assume that those hosts will be ok to have girls visit? Is Energy building in general girl friendly? I. e. Will allow multiple girls to visit my room on different days and be ok with it? Not sure if there are any doormen / guard who will block me from having girls visit.Energy is essentially a gringo working girl house. Chicks come and go all the time. Security won't make any issues but every chick has to be ID verified. You can book it through Airbnb. Go to Airbnb and look out for Energy living in the name. There's plenty of them.

http://www.ibizawest.co/suite_brutal.htmlI can confirm the Ibiza suites are fantastic, had a party in the Soho it last year, myself another guy & 5 girls, a wild great night. Soho is 1 category below Brutal.

I did a birthday party for myself in Brutal with 4 girls & it was another wild night.

Probably the highest quality suites around Medellin.

Hi guys, I'm looking for a recommendation for a 1-month preferably in El Pablado. Needs to guest friendly.

I booked Energy Living on my last trips, but a month stay is too expensive. They don't offer a discount when booking multiple weeks.

I booked Energy Living on my last trips, but a month stay is too expensive. They don't offer a discount when booking multiple weeks.Use Airbnb and look for listings that have external access with code for entry, no guard. I'm staying in a nice studio in Manila (the lower quieter part of Poblado) for a great deal for a month. External access, washer dryer, no monitoring, etc.

Sorry for late reply. I have been busy and not checked the site.

I stayed at Wake twice. Yes they are strict and what you wrote is accurate. Wake is also significantly more expensive than Haven. Wake is very nice but has a residential feel to it. I also like daily cleaning and overall chill vibe of Haven, roof top pool and bar. If price is not an issue and can consistently get your date to arrive before 10 PM, I would choose Wake.

Both Haven and Wake have quire a few non mongering / women and couple tourists, which I like. I also see lot of locals at Wake (cafes and restaurants) and roof top of Haven. The restaurants at Wake are amazing but quite expensive to eat regularly. Haven food is surprisingly very good.

Hashtag 98 is also nice but quire a bit more strict with visitors and they don't have suites and not many Jacuzzi options.

I did not stay at the other two hotels you mention.

I have not stayed

Looking for an apartment on a higher floor with nice views of Medellin mountains. Must have a reception in front. And very guest friendly. In Laureles but can consider Poblado as well as cost is below hundred bucks a night.

Something along the lines of San Peter minus the noise and the cost.

Do you know any airbnb in Laureles or Poblado that fits the bill? (Away from LA 70 of course).

Does anyone have any hotel recommendations or airbnbs for 3 guys? We want separate rooms. Preferably with AC and in the poblado / park lleras area. Alotve the airbnbs in the area seem to not allow guests. Our budget is 5-600 USD for 4 nights.

Thanks ahead.

Don't understand it since the units have been bought and paid for at much cheaper prices. What are those better rooms going for now at St. Pete's? Thanks and keep looking. There must be some better prices in Laureles a little further away from La 70. Maybe its location, guest policy and popularity that has caused this place to inflate rates so much.

Talking to a guy yesterday about staying at Nutribara Hotel. He said he had 3 buddies who all left during the last week. Each guy had a problem with the hotel. The hotel saying they missed a days payment.

I had the same thing happen in Pereira which could be true.

But then something happened at Buena Vista Hotel in Bucaramanga. I stayed until they counted all the drinks, candy bars, and other stuff in the room. The next day I receive an email with a zip folder of an invoice. The email did not look legit so I did not open it. I emailed back I could not open it and to text me the problem. 36 hours no reply.

With all the stupid noobies coming over the scams seem to be rising. Please post anything that has happened to you or others you heard about.

Thanks. This section of the forum would have the most info on that. There is no point in a list of hotels or airbnbs as it changes all the time. And it can change day by day. Best to ask before confirming a booking. And there are some well known places that there is lots of past discussion about.

I had to stay here a few days because my usual spot was taken. It's really nice place with 15 Floors you can go on the roof and chill on the patio. The only problem is that LOFT 43 is not monger friendly. They only allow guests between 8 am to 8 pm. When I say "guests" that is meant in the singular sense. You can have only one during the hours I mentioned.

The lobby is manned by women so don't think you'll get a dude to let you slip in some choices after hours with a nod and a wink. I just wanted to put that out there.

How much are rooms there now? Has the cost gone up that much?I'll be paying $36/ night at St Peter + fees and other bullshit.

I think it's a pretty decent price given the location, and the time I stayed there the noise was not a problem.

I guess if you are in one of the first 2 or 3 floors it could get noise. But is it at floor 9th, 10th and above?

Thanks Mono. That's actually a decent price. I thought that prices had skyrocket. Location is perfect and I like that area too. Thanks again. It is not a static price. It goes up and down depending on supply and demand, and when you booking. When I checked the dates I wanted, the asking price was $55 which I thought I was too much for the San Peter. I agree that $35-$40 would be a reasonable price for San Peter. But there is a nightclub next door and when I stayed there, it was noisy at night. If you are a light sleeper, it may be a problem. There might be other rooms that are more quiet.

Guy, I am searching for a low priced hotel near parque lleras. Last time I was at Medellin I stayed at haven, it was 100 $ per night (that is much in Colombia) and only 1 girl a day was allowed for free. Is this a place best if you bring a girl with you for the stay or can you find girls in the area? This place place looks familiar especially the room with the jacuzzi. They frown on bringing guests there (not to your face) there are sign posted in apt that say " No to sex tourism" and it has an image of red heels. The room is very small it's a studio.

I really didn't care for the long flight of concrete stairs to get in and then you have another set stairs that takes you to the room.

What I noticed is that there are some working girls who pass through on Friday and Saturday nights.

I won't return because the Jacuzzi was too much of a hassle to operate and the stairs are bad for my knees.

There are many studio airbnbs in this building and wanted to share my experience. Prices are around $65 a night. There are some bad reviews on google on the ladies at the front desk. I found them nice and professional. I only brought one non Colombian guest during my stay. They require original ID and you have to meet them at the desk to bring them up and bring them back down which was a first for me. They wouldn't let her leave until I came down with her. They allow max of two guests. I guess it means two guests max during your stay but I don't know.

You have to walk up a hill to get to Sante Fe Mall and the Carulla supermarket. The Aguacatala station is nearby also.

Hey all,

I've been scouring the thread but it seems everyone people are mentioning that are GF (Mansion, Du Parc, Dann Carlton) are in Poblado. However I've found that most of the non-overpriced girls are in Laureles, either near Botero or just from websites like Mileroticos. Still want to bring girls back if possible, but not looking to take a 25 minute uber every time I go to a girls apartment or Botero or wherever.

Anyone got any info on Girl friendly hotels in Laureles? Or do we just always stay in Poblado.

Hey guys,

I am looking for the best girl friendly hotel near parque lleras. Budget is not an issue. The higher end it is, the better it is for me. I reached out to Marquee. And they flat out refused having girls over.

So, I am considering either Haven or Europa Suites. Any experiences on those? Also, what else will you recommend?

Haven has a guest fee policy apparently I. E. 120 mil colombian pesos after the first guest per day. That might quickly add up for me as I think I will usually want to see atleast 3 different girls every day. Europa suites doesn't have such a policy. But, for some reason the reviews on google on europa suites seem fake to me. There are no reviews on any other platform (tripadvisor or facebook etc.).
