But again, to each his own.

Rizo de Oro is right across the street from HK and "attached" to Trop. HK girls are allowed to go there. Many SG will go there too. Velario is two short blocks from the action. It is probably the best hotel in the area. Recently built, I think opened in late 2012. The standard rooms are nicer than HK standard rooms and cost half as much.

TB is more like "Old Tijuana" than most of the other bars. By that I mean that the girls tend to sit in a line and wait for you to approach them, much like bars in other parts of Latin America. In between the strip shows, etc. , the customers can dance with the girls. That used to be the main draw, back in the day. You ask them to dance, you pay them $1 per dance. The rest is just like all the other places. Beer is always 2 x 1. My biggest complaint is that the music is ear-splittingly loud, making it difficult to talk, although the "new" section is quieter.
Don't take anybody's word for anything as subjective as whether or not some place is "worth seeing. " See for yourself and report back.

It will only take 30 seconds to get in and out of each of the smaller bars.

Moving this thread back to the original direction, I will add a short report from last Friday.
Got to the border at about 4 pm, the traffic from the Border to the Zona was terrible.
