You can go to a local place and pay 300VND for a massage + BJ, but the place will be a bit crummy and the service not spectacular (usually). To answer your question: there is no concentrated area. Massage places tend to be spread out. But Saigon isn't a big town, and you can get around pretty easily, so staying in District 1 is a good idea.

I went down to HN to take a look around. I was looking for the 2 spots that Sidtrip mentioned in his original post. If I am not mistaken, one spot is on the first floor (where he got the wet body slide massage) and the second spot is on the second floor (where he got big tit #10 girl).

The reason I don't think it's Sidtrip spot is because the pricing here is 250,000 for 1 hour and 300,00 for 90 minutes. Not really close to his estimates of 140,000 or 200,00. Plus, I asked them if they did doubles (which Sidtrip mentioned his girl would do if asked) and they said no. So pricing off and no doubles. This is not the spot. Sorry for this late report. I thought I had posted it. I was in HCMC early last month. I went to Minh Tam 2 on a motorbike. It was a long ride to the northwest part of town. Very well. Thus begins Fuji's comprehensive (as possible) D2 massage guide. I will, of course, have to do it in chunks as it will be a bit large. This will then be the first of many coming reports.

The vast majority of places that I went to have already been covered on the forum, so I will begin with one that hasn't and may be immediately beneficial to the forum members. There is a beauty salon literally across the street from Al Fresco's that is quite popular amongst foreigners in D2 because it's clean, modern, and the prices are cheap. During my visits there I've had 5 or 6 different masseuses and managed a handshake from 2 of them (though none of them complained at a bit of the touchy-feely), though I'm sure there are more than just the two that would be willing to do the deed. Since they have so many foreign customers there, they tend to speak at least a little English. These girls will haggle and you can count on the "no Vietnamese" price bump if you are white. I usually had to tip between 300 and 500 k, though these rates are not altogether unusual in D2 as the girls there do demand more money given that it is a richer area of town. Should you visit this establishment, you might want to start by requesting girl #4. She was my regular when I went. She's not what many would call a looker. She's not bad, but for the price one might expect more. Her looks are about a 5/10, a little pudgy, but a cute face. Her technique ranges from 5/10 to 8/10 depending on her mood and she even went in for a BJ one time, but since I only go for handshakes I can't tell whether or not she does CIM or not. Just around the corner from the beauty salon in my last report is Angel, which has been in past reports on this forum, but since I'm here I might as well throw in my two cents. From the outside Angel looks more-or-less like any other beauty salon in the area. From the outside you'll see some advertisements that any beauty salon might have, a small area for motorbike parking, and a couple of barber chairs just inside the glass entryway. However, if you ever see anyone in those chairs let me know because unlike the place in my last report this place is full-on rub-and-tug; and not a very good one at that, but I digress. I used to go by this place daily on my way to the gym and because the girls would frequently congregate by the door, I was in a position to see that the majority of girls were pretty average. I was displeased as there were other places I could go for less than that and receive the same services. Furthermore, I soon discovered that that fee doesn't include a private room. Nay, friends, a private room is part of the VIP package for even more money. Forget that. I paid the 300,000 and was ushered up the stairs to the second floor and into a changing room with a steel-spring COT. Upon entering the cubicle assigned to me I was quite thankful that I was up on my tetanus shots as I assumed the position. I had chosen a perfect time to visit Angel. There were no other guests. If there had been others, we likely could've talked to each other whist enjoying the services as the walls separating the changing rooms don't extend from ceiling to floor and a mere curtain separates you from the hallway outside.

After a short while the girl came in. She was average height, average build, smallish breasts, with short, curly hair--which is somewhat unusual for Vietnamese girls. As I recall, her massage was average and her handshake average. She was friendly and spoke some limited English, but that's really not enough if your HS is not overly memorable. I get the very distinct feeling that I could've gotten more out of her if I'd wanted, so those of you who are into FS might have some luck here (but I can offer no guarantees to that being on the menu). But given the somewhat grimy nature of the second floor being juxtaposed to the clean and modern interior of the first floor, I was most jarred and didn't care to tarry any more than was necessary to conclude our arrangement.

Would I return? No. I never did. Why? Because there's a cheaper place that offers better service that isn't too far away (and is far less visible), which had already become my regular place by that time and I wished I had just gone there. But that I will cover in a later post. Is there any reason to go here as opposed to other places on offer in D2? Perhaps. Its location IS convenient if you're not worried about being seen and if you can finagle FS, or at least a BJ, it would be cheaper than other places that offer FS in the area. Again, this last statement is pure speculation on my part, as I never tried it myself. That said, you might want to opt for the private room, or at least be very quiet.

My personal go-to massage in D2 was on Duong 2 off of Tran Nao, just a short way down on the right. There are in fact many hotel massages in the area, another was just recently reported on in this forum. I get the distinct feeling that the vast majority of their customers are Vietnamese, but the staff in this place in particular does speak some English, though it is very limited. This place is somewhat off the beaten track and offers a more discreet location to frequent, though it is really pretty close to the main area of Thao Dien, so you needn't go far.

Pulling up from the outside, you'll see a large "Massage" sign outside. There are two entrances to the building. The one on the left is for hotel guests. If you're just up for a massage, you'll pull your motorbike into the right entrance, park and follow the parking attendant's instructions to proceed on foot down and into the door on the left. Upon entering, you'll see a receptionist sat behind a desk directly in front of you. You'll pay her 150,000 and make a request if you have a preferred girl.

If you're new to the massage, they'll want to stick you into one of the regular rooms on the first floor, be sure to request a VIP room. They always gave it to me with no extra charge. I say this because this place is more run-down than it needs to be and the rooms on the first floor can be grimy. Unfortunately the rooms on the second floor, while better, are not overly better. Once you've been shown to your room, they'll ask you to disrobe and have a steam or bath if you care to. I usually passed.

The girl will enter and ask you to lie down for the massage. I've had a number of massages here and really, they are all poor to middling (5/10 was the best I ever got). After the flip comes the dreaded haggle. I don't know if they haggle with their Vietnamese customers, but they always did with me. They'll ask from 300,000 to 500,000 depending on the girl. What the final numbers come out to depends on your ability to barter from there. Handshakes range from 5/10 to 8/10 in quality. All the girls I had allowed fingering (both holes), but I had to fight my way through their shorts. They won't take them off. Breasts are also another matter.
