I don't think you would find anything near the airport. You would probably need to get into the city.

purdog - Agree with dathinman that you would need to get to the city. Question - are you allowed to leave the airport during your transit? What is the airline you are travelling on? What time will you be arriving and leaving?
To ensure you have enough time to leave and get back to the airport before your next flight, probably you can confirm on your seats and boarding pass first before leaving the airport.

Firstly, welcome to KL.
You should look at places like DeSwan as more than just a bonk joint. After all you get drinks, women to keep you company for a few hours, song, conversation (you must ask the mamasan to get only those fluent in English) and maybe extra services.

Read in the NST today about raids in PI. 70 were caught of which 49 were PRC's, 8 Uzbeks (yeah, these are the so-called "Russians") and 4 Viets. The others caught were two men, one a Bangladeshi and the other dunno. The Bangladesh must be the on who serves the food in PI. Beware, but I think Whitee's conspiration theory about the unusually frequent raids on PI has some sense to it.

I have misgivings about the notion that hotel rooms are safer. MIB are not new to this game, they know most HC have "hotel room" service.
In fact what is called hotel rooms are not normal hotel rooms, but rooms that are just extension of the normal HC rooms. If you notice, the bedsheets of these so-called hotel rooms are stamped with name of the HC, and they have HC maids dedicated to these rooms. In fact these hotel rooms are all on the same floor (albeit different floor frm the HC) as the HC rented the whole floor for extra rooms.
The keys of these special rooms are also prominently and conveniently displayed at the reception for the captains to check for vacancies, not much difference from their HC rooms. I remember reading in this forum or Delphi about MIB noting down all hotel rooms that have missing keys (meaning they are occupied) before going to knock on those doors ;)
Again, just don't have a false sense of security and let your guard down. I don't go to the HC-rooms and have always taken HC-hotel rooms only because they are more spacious and usually I dont have to go thru the reception after the deed was done.
PJ de Inn has "room service"; taking a girl to your "real" hotel room. I have tried b4, with the captain bringing the girl to you, without you stepping into the HC. MF, a contact of mine has his friend caught in the recent raid. He was sent to the police station, got a friend to post bail. We can assume that he will be charged in court. Seems to be a change in procedures here.
I would say that it is safer to visit places that do not stock imports or foreign workers. Maybe not as prominent as PI.

It would seem that the frequency of the MIB raids are based on "anonymous" reports. There might be some nut who feel that these HC are a bad influence to the general public.
You're right in mentioning that these MIBs are looking to suppliment thier income for up-coming holiday season by staging these raids. On their salary, they need the dough.
How often they do these raids? Again, depending on the reports and calls. The more the reports, the more the money coming their way... under the table. How to spot them? They're in packs... like wolves; riding on motorcycles. They would wear rather sports jackets, faded T-shirts, faded jeans or slacks and sports shoes. Age-would be around 30 to 50ish; with an aura of military or political influence. Attitude-like vultures.
Basic bribey needs-around RM300 to RM500.

Turn left into another are of shoplots and you should be able to notice the neon lights of Goldmine. I have only been there once so, directions may be off a bit (apologize if it is).
The cost is cheaper then DB (drinks and room) and the girls are based on tips or booking depending on your preference. Opens at 9pm and closes at around 2am. All rooms are fitted with toilets so no worries on that front :) Try #52.
