Indo ladies are fabulous. I got my first taste of them in HK. I am a member os www.asiandating.com and there are some smoking hot Indo ladies who are incredibly friendly. Just some solid advice for you mongers. If you aren't 60+ and in half way decent shape, try picking up at the bars / clubs. Maggie Choo's, Demo, Ku de Ta, The Club Khaosan, Funky Villa, Route 66, and Glow. In general a large portion of the women that are working the districts are from super poor north. In general most of the girls are straight hustlers or have been worked over a million times. If you dress well and are not a clueless tourist you'll straight murder the scene. An immense amount of talent becomes available after 2 am. Some of the hottest bartenders, waitresses, hostesses, and club promotion girls get off work around 2 am. Half of them end up at the after hours spots and will come up to you right off the bat. My 55 year old friend who I dragged out was murdering it with LINE (social media app). His game consisted of the most basic level approaches. "Hi how are you?" "can I add you to my line? In one night he was approached by 15 pros's and 5 genuine pick ups. He ended up taking home this half Japanese half thai girl that worked as one of the models at Maggie Choo. Why pay when its free? Thailand is one of the only cities in the world where mongering almost doesn't even make sense unless you've let yourself completely go. Money is a pretty powerful aphrodisiac and by being a foreigner you're already ahead of the curve.
I literally found a condo next to RCA and never bothered paying for an encounter. In the 10 days I stayed, I took home a different gal every night. In general, the quality of the women you find in the bar / club scene is 10 x better than what you pick up working the soi's.
Ku De Ta is amazing in itself. The talent in there was solid 9's and 10's. I wore a suit and approached everything in a dress. While I understand people feeling safer in buying Cialis from pharmacies when they are in Thailand, I have been buying it right off the street from the outdoor table vendors for years without a problem and with the same results I used to get when I bought it in the USA with a prescription. Yes, I have heard the rumors about it being dangerous and all of that. But, as I see it (and not trying to encourage anyone to buy from them, just reporting my years' long observation and experience), these sellers set up in the same spot every day and night so they are effectively as accessible after the fact as the brick and mortar pharmacy on the other side of the sidewalk, sell tons of the stuff every week and it isn't only to tourists who take the stuff, hop on a plane and then die somewhere else in relative secrecy. If all the expats who regularly buy Cialis and other such products at those tables were getting sick, dying or, worse, not seeing the results they expect from the product (LOL), wouldn't there be a parade of us marching back to the table to throw a fit? Those of us still alive, I mean.
I will say I was given a "gift" of a few of the 200 MG Cialis from one of my regular sellers that didn't do much for me. Not sure why that was the case. So I stick with the 100 MG version I usually buy, which works just fine for me. On Sukhumvit between Asoke and Nana, I get it for as low as 16 baht per tablet or about $. 50 USD per tablet at today's exchange rate. To get to that cost, I buy it by the "case" of six small plastic bottles, 10 tablets per box, for 1000 baht.
Anybody else have a different observation and report from first-hand experience about the outdoor table vendors' version of Cialis?A lot of them stock that Kamagra stuff which is really hit and miss. Original Viagra and Cialis are around $7-10 USD per pill in the US for the lower dosage. Could be cheaper in BKK.

I don't buy these products myself so I am not fully up to date. Last time I bought Apcalis for my boss I believe was something like 300 or 400 Baht per paxk of 4 x 20 MG tablets. Previously I believe I heard genuine Cialis was over 1500 Baht. Don't remember exact price. That is for 4 tablets only. All I remember was 5 hat it was very expensive and no reason to buy it.
I have tried Cialis years ago from a western country. It seemed to have little noticeable effect for me. I could not tell the difference between taking it and not taking it. So 20 MG seemed very weak effect if any. So I don't waste the money any further. I found Viagra or a generic had a far stronger effect.

Mecury bar is longer a bar to go to. I went there last night to see a girl with a hot body, ex Candyland 2 and ex Doll House. Apart from a Coyote girl there were only 2 slim barfinable girls. There are places where you can arrange outcall, but it is not even clear you will have a room. There are bars on Sukumvit Soi 4 Nana opening early, but probably not before 9 AM, e. G. Morning Night. I think you have nailed the most difficult time of day for mongering.I normally wake up early by habit and like to go for a walk before it gets too hot. I had luck from 6 am engaging lower Suk ladies who are clearly departing their overnight dates and heading to the BTS. Copies of Cialis have been available for many years from Thai small less reputable Pharmacies assuring that it was genuine. Taste was wrong so could have been a higher dose than stated 20 mg, or some other reason. Packaging was originally not quite perfect. Could be it has improved significantly.
Web site offer Cialis (generic) cheap like $1 or less, Professional Cialis (generic) - a little more costly, and in some cases Brand Cialis (meaning from Lily) at usually 4 to 5 times the price. Tadalafil is the ingredient. Only Lily has the right to use the brand name Cialis I presume. So there is a certain amount of bullshit going on somewhere.

I was in Bangkok as an adult for the first time 2 weeks ago. There is nothing to be nervous about if you read thru the forum and follow the advice given.
After checking things out, I tried the variety of ways to get P4 P. The BJ bar thing is interesting but I did not find them much of a turn on, just about the release. Of course they are real, of course they don't pose any more risk of making you sick, killing you or not producing the desired result than the product you buy in the Bangkok pharmacies. And they are a damned sight cheaper. It is one of the smartest purchases you can make in the street vendor vs indoor vendor scene. Use the 1000's of baht you'll save on pussy, food and booze instead.
We are, after all, mostly "debating" whether or not to buy a product from a street vendor vs a Bangkok pharmacy where it only resembles a Western pharmacy in general decor and that the staff seems to have been given white coats that fit, they regard everything you buy in the place as an "over the counter" product not requiring a prescription anyway, and if they handle the product properly from start to finish with regard to temperature, shelf-life, whatever, then that is the first industry I am aware of in all of Thailand where something is being done competently, by the book, according to rules, laws and ethics from start to finish!

Else there are some travel guys on Soi 11 who organise for a day tour to Kanchanburi, you could enquire with them. When you enter Soi 11 from Sukhmvit main road, walk about 200 meters there is one on the left side.

Bangkok public transport by Skytrain or Metro or riverboat is quite good, cheap and gets you to all the touristy spots. And if you want to go somewhere fast, a motor-cycle taxi is your best choice.
A daytrip to Kanchanaburi is possible, but if you want to really see the sights in and around Kanchanaburi (military cemetaries, death railway museum (the one near the cemetary, not the one near the Bridge!) Hellfire pass and museum, . . .) you can easily fill a long weekend.

-JB.In my 15 trips or so to Bangkok I never had any safety issue. I find the girls I go with to be nice, they have never tried to steal anything. Never had any trouble on the streets either. But no need to let your guards down; I always keep my wallet in the safety box in the room. I only bring with me as much money as I expect to spend that night, sometimes also a card. No problem to wear a fancy watch. I see a lot of those around. If you are totally hammered and in a bad area I am sure it is possible to get mugged. But if you behave and stay alert it will be no problem with safety in Bangkok. No need for a "money belt" - but hey it is up to you. The only place I am very careful with safety issues is in the Philippines. But that is another story.

But I can't find anything out of wack with these packages. Details are over the top spot on to authentic. Public transport is much better and faster in most cases but even if you prefer taxi's there's no need to hire one for all day. They are literally all around, there are thousands of them.
And I don't think it's cheaper to hire one for a whole day. Just raise your hand at the side of the road and take one when you need one.

Taxi is the way to go and the traffic situation is only during office rush hours. Using a taxi gets rid of all the headaches of finding the places on your own.
I used to have a couple of good drivers but they retired. Best suggestion is to ask at your hotel desk. The more upscale the hotel, higher the prices will be.
You will see many travel agencies on Sukhumvit and in the Sois around it. Ask at few and you will get a good idea on the rates. Bargain a bit and see if you can get the rates down. Few years ago, it used to be between 1500 -2000 B per day, little extra for out of town trips.

Hiring taxi for a day is not the greatest idea unless its a public holiday and Bangkok is very quiet.
It is possible to take just a day trip to Kanchanaburi leave very early and get back very late. Hard to get a vehicle from Kancha back at night time.
However I find the touristy things mentioned by Wolven to be deathly boring. I prefer nature and would much rather go to Erewan falls or Saiyok Falls or both. Perhaps better to stay overnight to have time.

People with mobility issues or the less adventurous might not be able to effectively navigate the BTS / MRT, and motorbikes and tuk-tuk's are inherently more risky safety wise. And if I had a Thai lady companion for the day I might consider a more convenient option. In those situations door-to-door and always in aircon service holds some appeal.

I did that a couple of years ago and found it convenient as they collect you at the hotel early morning and drop you off again at the hotel in the late afternoon, early evening. A minibus takes you to "the bridge", the cemetary etc (the museum is opposite the cemetary). That is: if you don't mind sharing the taxi minibus with other tourists. Or, as already suggested, check out one of the many travel shops on Sukhumvit.

If your hotel in BKK has a tourdesk then I suggest to make inquiries there about a daytrip to Kanchanaburi. I did that a couple of years ago and found it convenient as they collect you at the hotel early morning and drop you off again at the hotel in the late afternoon, early evening. A minibus takes you to "the bridge", the cemetary etc (the museum is opposite the cemetary). That is: if you don't mind sharing the taxi minibus with other tourists. Or, as already suggested, check out one of the many travel shops on Sukhumvit.

Last February I visited Kachanaburi independently for a few days. I took the bus from Bangkok and returned the same way though my original intention was to return by train. However, the train, which was scheduled to leave at 3:30 pm sat at the station for three hours and I eventually got off and returned to my hotel for an additional night. I originally went up with a girl but she was a bit weird and bailed after the first night.
In addition to a few girlie bars near the main street parallel to the river. I was informed by locals that there is a spectacular go-go bar on the main drag with incredibly hot girls and prices to match. All available for take out and on-site. Didn't go but maybe next year.

I think most bars have music a bit too loud but not as loud as in discos. The girls say that cannot get into it dancing unless its very loud. Unfotunately this comes with booming bass.
Its possible to move seats in the bars to find a spot not right at the speakers for some relief. Most entertainent venues for Thai youth are extremely loud unless a very high class place. Bangkok Beat live band is too loud for me. So Is Saeng Jun entertainment hall. So are all the discos. So bars don't make me suffer mostly. I still manage to talk to girls where in other places I cannot.

Today two ladies took me to Hillary 1 Pool sports bar in Soi 4. Seemed to be relatively busy but hard to understand what the customers see in this place.
Firstly the owner likes older women. There are avery large number of lady staff. More than necessary I think, as most are not young. Not got good bodies and not beautiful. Do customers want to buy drinks for these ladies and entertain them?
Sports on TVs but playing music. Music is really old ok for expats. Staff get paid a pitance of 90 Baht per day and then so much per drink ordered. This is first problem. Soon I was thinking better to check bill and leave. We went elsewhere to eat.
I never had any issues at Stumble Inn down the road which has better looking girls (some) better waitresses, and no one pestering me to buy another drink before I am ready. Girls in Stumble Inn get a salary and commision only for there own drinks. The normal way works better.

As a law-abiding citizen of Belgium, I *always* carry official ID whenever I go outside, so it has become kind of "automatic" to have my passport with me at all times. Is it risky? I do not think so, but bening obviously drunk and in "dark corners" will increase the risk for sure. Now it is compulsory to show your ID then only you are going to get SIM. Even Locals have to submit there ID. They not only check the ID they also punch the ID detail against that particulate SIM.

Thanks,In some countries you are required to have identification papers on your person, however this is not strictly adhered to. A good idea is to have a photocopy made of your passport and then laminate that copy and simply cut to size. This way it fits most pockets and you can secure your passport in your hotel.

Its been over a year that I visited Bangkok. In all my 3 previous visits never tried any gogo bars. Its always been the soapies, Nuru or Outcalls (only tried 1 pick up). Huge fan of outcalls. I think it might have a big impact on tourism action and maybe we also have to be more careful in our mongering.
I am staying at the Holiday Inn Bangkok and arrive at 2 am and the bomb went off at around 7 pm. When I arrived there was police presence and the street has been cleaned up. They have barricade on the main road but they let cars in. When my taxi arrived at the hotel, they were sweeping the underside of the taxi for bombs. This is really scary, the street is deserted. I was going to visit Miix but the surrounding area is so quiet that I don't think I will get out of the hotel.
I haven't been to BKK in several years but was hoping we could put together a top ten (or something less than 10) list on the following topics. I will give my limited knowledge but would love to hear from people, if possible:

I have only been to two.

Prior to this heinous act, there probably was no safer place to be in BKK than the Erawan Shrine. The only way to be "more careful" is to stay home with the doors locked and the windows shut and not travel anywhere, even to your local mega mall, let alone to Thailand, Indonesia, or the PI, which is something I will not even consider. I like to be close to Asoke Sukhumvit intersection but not too close. In a minor Soi is better and prefer to be on the Phrom Phong side of Asoke if possible.

Unless they quickly figure the bomb was home grown, anyone planning to fly out in the near future might be wise to add a little buffer to their airport arrival time. I was in town when the Iranians put the BANG in Bangkok a few years ago and the line to passport control was epic. In truth I had a bit of a perfect storm: They were still looking for the terrorists who did not help like the one who blew some limbs off, and there was a Emirates flight departing around the same time as mine. Thais, and a lot of other people (think "The Arab's Bars" on SC), don't differentiate between Iranians and Arabs, so the majority of the Emirates passengers were one step short of a full body cavity search. I, on the other hand, was through the booth in a minute once I got there.

I like to be close to Asoke Sukhumvit intersection but not too close. In a minor Soi is better and prefer to be on the Phrom Phong side of Asoke if possible.Again I must agree. To the best area is Phrom Phong, soi 18 to 24. Quiet but very close to any action.

Has anyone come across any good taxi company or driver for hiring taxi all day for local travel in Bangkok?
I also want to travel outside for all day excursion to Kanchanaburi etc. So wondering if any one has any tips for me to find a reliable English speaking driver.I used Thai Happy Taxi to / from BKK-Pattaya last year and they were excellent. Payments made in advance through Paypal. Both drivers were early, and when leaving Pattaya at 3 am for BKK we somehow made it in just under 1 hour. Whoever answers the emails is good with English. Sedans were blacked out Toyota Avalon I think. Probably will use them at 800 baht from BKK to my hotel in Sukhumvit when I visit next month.

The days of freelancers on Craigs list are over now. There is a group of foreign pimps who have taken over. They take half the girls money for answering the ads and booking appointments. 90% of the emails you send will be read and replied to by this guy from Holland. The ads are quite good because they are cleverly written in Thinglish. I have had some luck recently with one of these girls but I mostly will place an ad. If I get lucky I will get a reply from a newbie freelancer looking for a few extra baht. This has happened a few times and the girls were all incredible. You must be persistent with your ads by reposting and weeding through the working girl or ladyboy replies. CL is the most hit and miss, plus dangerous option, so for the newbies I would not suggest using it.

ThanksReally good question. I have lived in BKK for 16 years and used to be a regular visitor (once a month) to Pattaya up until about 8 years ago. About that time I found it a bit tedious and the value for money started to go a bit downhill.
Last weekend I made my first trip down solo in years. Have to say I love the new G-Club establishments. Kinnaree Place has to be one of the most outstanding places I have seen in Thailand in my years here. The place is posh, beers are 90 Baht, BF and ST room is 350 Baht, and the all the gals are 1 k ST on premises. And there are some real lookers there. Even my jaded ass was stunned. When you compare it to BKK it is quality, fun, and value. The prices are what they should be. Also went to Passion in Jomtien which was also great. Most of the G-Clubs open at 1 pm and close at 10 pm. Soi 6 is also in good form with gals quite desperate for customers.
However, the GoGo and disco scene were not to my liking. GoGos gals were wanting as much as their sisters in BKK and the discos were full of young dudes mainly from the Middle east and Africa. Found Walking St gals to be less than enthusiastic as well. You no longer hear, "where you go" every 10 meters. In fact, you have to do the asking.
Pattaya is pretty empty now as well. Reminds me of the low seasons when I first came back in the early '00's.
Unless you are into the oily scene (which is my genre of choice in BKK), I would say Pattaya is the better place for a P4P vacation. BKK just gets worse and worse and more expensive.

I will be back visiting Pat for 8 days in just a little while before I unpack my bags and hang out in BKK for 3 weeks. The last time i went to Pattaya was over two years ago. I will only go to Pat in the low season. I hate it when the place gets overrun with tourists.
On BKK vs Pat: the OP said it himself, paraphrasing, "BKK has afternoons in the massage, and evenings looking around the go go's," not to mention all the cultural stuff and great restaurants that BKK provides. Aside from a few G-Clubs Goatscrot mentioned, Pat does not really get started until 5 or 6 pm when it is time to pay a visit to Soi 6 and see what's going on. Then later it is Go Go time until the discos and clubs get busy. I usually do nothing most of the day in Pat besides walking beach road (exercise, 555), eat, and hangout at my hotel swimming pool. That is the major reason why I generally prefer the big mango and all it has to offer over the naughty resort town, but I can't wait to check out both places in the not too distant future! Another plus for me in the BKK column is that I know far more girls in BKK than I do in Pat, although I concede that is the result of the disproportionate amount of time I spend in BKK vrs. Pattaya.
For the folks that is already in BK, in your opinion, how safe is it to travel to BK with the recent news coming out of BK? That's 3 bombs in 2 days?

Statistically speaking it's roughly as safe as ever. Every single day of the year, there are 30+ traffic fatalities across Thailand. That bomb killed 20 people. And there was only one bomb with fatalities in over a year (excluding Deep South, don't go there).

If the idea is to spend afternoons in the massage shops, there are loads of them all very competitively priced (the clean establishments). These 'clean' MPs have good penetration in Pats with one shop every 15 meters. Even the naughty shops on soi honey and chaiyapoon start off by 10-11 am with a moderate line up. After doing the naughty MPs in the early afternoon, one could head to soi 6, 7 and 8 during 4-8 pm. Do some Go-Go hopping thereafter / the G-clubs which I enjoy as well. After 12 at night, its time to hit the clubs, iBar, Red Car etc partying into the early morning. So lots to do in Pattaya at all times I think unless things have changed much in 6-8 months since I visited.
In terms of food, yes, thai food is probably better in BKK, but if you like farang food there are quite a few nice establishments along soi Diana and some other spots around Pats.

The road traffic carnage is the most dangerous thing in Bangkok after jumping into a crododile pen in Samut Prakaan.

I arrive in BKK the night after the bombing. I didn't see any additional security at the airport and going through immigration was very fast. Nana, Cowboy, and the Sukhumvit area.
In general are business as usual. I did notice a higher police presence on Sukhumvit road compared to one year ago, but I can't tell if that is due to the bombing. Also, when you enter.
The mall Terminal 21 the search all bags. But again, I don't know if that is something new due to the bombing. There is no curfew and all bars are open for business.
