Also, the area right outside of Nana plaza seems to be more crazy then ever. I was approached more aggressively by more girls and lady boys offering a greater variety of things on the menu in a very blatant, no nonsense way than I remembered being the case the last time I had visited. Prices seemed to be between $1000 to $1500 for ST. Does this sound about right?That seems a reasonable FL price these days. Especially when compared to where pricing is at inside Nana Plaza.

Blast from the past. Strolling through Nana Plaza tonight I noticed a "new" go-go bar on the ground level far left corner by the name of Voodoo. Have I missed this announcement here or am I the first? I did a search on this thread and only one reference to that name came up from late last year when it was mentioned in a recollection from 20 years ago.
Well, I guess it is back. At least the name is back. Girl I bought a LD for said it has been open for 3 weeks already.

When I first read it I assumed you meant 2:30AM and not 2:30PM. Otherwise, why mention Thermae. Thermae doesn't open until 8PM in the evening. These details matter in this respect; If you met a true and solid 9 person in appearance standing outside either of Thermae's entrances (the rear entrance is located on Soi 15, near 4 Points by Sheraton Hotel) at 2:30AM, assuming Thermae was still open at that time on a Saturday night/early Sunday morning, she works in the cafe and was willing to start at 2,500 and quickly jump on 2,000 baht for ST, that is NOT 2.5 times the going rate for a relative 9 by Thermae's standards. It is instead LESS than the going rate for a 9 by Thermae's standards.
Lord only knows what a solid 9 genuine female could easily get at that hour standing on Sukhumivit. Like Natty, I don't believe I have ever seen one on the stroll there. But I doubt it would be less than 2,000 baht very often.
However, maybe she wasn't coming out of or going into Thermae as a "cafe worker" at all but just standing around outside one of the entrances at that hour of the night/early morning. If that was the case, now we're talking about a 95%+ chance she was a ladyboy, imo.

You first say it's easily doable and then launch into a litany of why it would be very difficult for the OP to find this type of arrangement. I actually agree with the primary negative part of your assessment and think he is wasting his time trying to set this up. It's hard enough just finding one girl where you have fun on a short holiday. First, you would have to develop a rapport with at least one girl who has bi tendencies and is ok acting it out (daily) with another girl in front of a virtual stranger. In fact, you might be better off finding just one girl, explain you like to observe lesbian activity, and then take your chances finding the second girl at your vacation destination. There is an Indian Disco called Shah something on Soi 4, there was a club there in the past that closed. Lots of Indian touts pushing it. I don't recall what the admission was, but since I am a born asshole, I told one of the touts I had three friends with me, and asked if it was OK if we bought one entrance fee and rotated ourselves in. I told him that we would split the free drink too. He looked at me like I was nuts. I may have to actually go in there as I bet there are cheap gals in there.
The Nana hooker lineup was not worth a whit. I saw a Brit fall down the stairs at NanaPlaza. Awesome. The player got right back up too.
I went into Anglewitch to cool off and listen to some real music. Poor lineup to my eyes. Some Indian or Arabish vacation millionaire was being milked like a Guernsey, the waitress delivered a tray with 20 shots to him which the staff proceeded to suck down. I know some of the staff there and they were just beating on this guys wallet. It was kinda funny. Ring the Bell dude, ring the bell.

After pretty much giving up hope on the Bangkok PSE scene, I decided to give the freelancers a chance.

I am sure this is true to a degree, and those of you who have more regular observations from living there or multiple yearly trips, will generally have a different perspective. As usual, we know that beauty I sin the eye of the beholder. I prefer late 20's to early 30's (especially Thai ladies) so they aren't too young.
That said, my last trip to BKK about 18 months ago went pretty well. There were a lot of travel books to find out about hotel rates, directions to the bars, typical costs, etc and they were available to anyone and everyone all over the world.
When I came here in those days, I never talked to an expat, never had to do any digging to find and partake of the exact same kind of venues every expat I know goes to today. And I don't notice the crowds at these venues any larger than they were 25-30 years ago.
However, the internet, smartphones, social network apps and so on have definitely had an impact and changed the environment, no doubt about that. But not all for the negative.
If I had to cite the biggest internet related negative for the P4P experience vs decades ago, it would probably be these; the girls can now get a lot of their emotional, playful, friendly interaction needs met by looking down at their smartphone screen and they can easily line up the next booking within 1 minute while we are taking a pisss in the bathroom.

I visited Jakarta immediately after I had visited Thailand for the first time. Unfortunately, I had far less success in Jakarta back then. My first trip to Jakarta it took me two months before I found the places to go in town. Jakarta sucked before I discovered where to go. Once I did discover the places, it was Heaven. Now, that information is all readily available on internet. It has had a negative effect on Indonesia. Indonesia was way more fun 20 years ago (after you paid your dues to find out where to go).

The reason, was I needed a travel guide to talk about the local attractions of each place, things to do and see. Lonely Planet (Thailand version) was very poor at that. It had transport, how to get to and from a province or Town, advertised local Restaurants, and mentioned Hotels where you could stay.
These things were all incredibly boring for me. Fortunately some other Travel Guides (translated to English) like Fodor, and others were better.
I relied on a buddy, who by coincidence was on same flight to Thailand as me. He showed me The Thermae, The Grace, Soi Cowboy, a Soapy or two (Darling, Thermae Soapy), Chawala Massage, and Pat Pong etc. (I don't think Nana Plaza had opened as yet). He had a relative with part ownership in a Cowboy bar. Years later I found Soapies like Chaopraya 2 using the Thai Business telephone book. It wasn't easy with no internet and no forums.

Soi 22 is fairly entertaining. When I am staying on Soi 24 or nearby on Sukhumvit, I occasionally like to go to Soi 22 after midnight after I have had dinner with my Go Go girl of the evening and put her in a taxi back home. A few hours well spent on Friday. Started early by 7 pm on Soi Cowboy. Things were still starting up so spent a couple of hours at a nearby beer joint just soaking in the weekend scene. I've been in and out of Bangkok for 35 years and I've found that the beautiful Soi 7 Beer Garden is like the ocean tides; sometimes busy and sometimes quiet. It's such a solid landmark and a world all of its own! I would think it would be "bullet proof" to almost any construction around it including the closed fish restaurants across the street. Like the Thermae, I would think it would be one of those places mongers and SW would go to, because it is there. I will be there in a few weeks to check it out for myself.
