For Airline Ticket I just upload an Screenshot from the Mail with the Flight. My Picture was about 4 or 5 Years old. The Hotel address was not correct and for the required Hotel Reservation I uploaded an Screenshot from my Whatsapp Conversation with the Hotel Owner haha. They don't check all these things very accurately.

This can work out in two ways without stating the obvious. If it is quiet then if you are prepared to wander about / explore you can easily find a few gems. On the other hand if it so quiet there is not a lot to do in Diani. This is why most people head to the North coast of Mombasa.Diani is more quiet than North coast of Mombasa in normal times. However, during this year it has been best party place in Kenya that I know. It has two clubs that have people, music and dance whole night. That does not happen in North or in Nairobi.

After some time Diani gets boring since it is quite small place, more people come there during the weekend, but still. Always same faces.

Lamu, or actually Shella there in Lamu island, there are parties also but you need to bring your own ladies there, since local girls are too conservative. Unless you are powerful enough to be successful with young European / American tourist girls, those are only ones available there. Beautiful place though.

I prefer Mwtapa but at the moment there is no place to make contact with girls, like Casourina. If you don't mind money compensation: then Diani is great. You can also find normal girls there (I did) but they are the minority. Mine even paid for tuktuk when we took tuktuk together (although she was really broke) because she like me so much. This is very rare obviously and luck based.

I was excited to visit this place and the comms by WhatsApp were good. BUT it was very hard to find and eventually ended up being a very dingy apartment. I chose a good looking girl but our room was right next to a living room in which all the other girls were chatting and listening to loud music. The was no bathroom en suite and the girl had body odour issues (I thought it was me at first and was worried but it wasn't). I got a cursory massage and then a really passive uninterested "whole thing was really poor. 2/10 5000 KES.

I was shown to a room and given a line up of about 15 girls. I picked one who seemed to speak good English. There was a shower en suite but the toilet was broken so I asked to move rooms. We moved to another but that one had no door between the shower and the bedroom. Again I got a cursory "massage" followed by full service but although slightly better than at the Pink Spa it was all still pretty poor. I was only with her for about 30 minutes and it cost KES8000 - really not good value. 3/10.

I hope to find a classier and better place and would not go back to either of these. Any ideas?

For those who need background, if you want a SIM in Kenya, register to get a Safaricom SIM using an official government photo ID. (Your current passport). If your passport expires, Safaricom may send you a notice to update your ID in person. It doesn't costs anything. I don't understand their need for the EXPIRED passport.

Life is much easier with a good phone / camera, a Kenya Safaricom SIM (Preferred over the Kenya AllTel SIM), a WorldRemit account and a mPESA account. Much of Kenya is cashless and mPESA is used by nearly everyone who has a phone. You can use mPESA for hotels, museums, taxi, EasyCoach, restaurants and etc. You won't need cash except to ride motos, matatus and simple cash only transactions. You will never need to use an ATM because you can exchange mPESA for cash at a mPESA shop.

You can familiarize yourself with the process by doing this: Before you leave your country set up WorldRemit account and send a small amount of money to a Kenyan mPESA account. Once in Kenya, you will use the same method to send money to yourself to fill YOUR OWN mPESA account. You could even pay your your hotel or AirBMB before arrival.

When Sagfaricom assigns you your phone number and activates your SIM, they can also set up your mPESA account. You then should use your WorldRemit to fill your mPESA account.

I totally agree with using a self-managed service like TransferWise or WorldRemit, cause that way you can keep yr MPesa & Safaricom account, and the SIM, alive while you're outside of Kenya. When in Kenya, you no longer hv2 go to a shop to add money (when you do, they always nag about recording yr ID or passport number).

Always get a Mpesa acct when you get a SIM.

(The reason why WorldRemit is most popular than other services is it makes easier to "offshore" possibly suspicious money, especially crypto-currencies. If you're 'that' kind of person, don't think you're safe -- WorldRemit is more & more on the radar of international govt agencies tracking money-laundering & black money, especially after they bought Sendwave for USD half-a-billion).

I have not gone through this procedure. When I noticed that I had only one month visa although I had been in Kenya three months, I decided to go to visit immigration. Lady there in reception area told me to pay six thousand shillings to arrange it without bureaucracy. I told three. We settled in four. If you are not approved in immigration, you have to return, possibly airline have to pay this. So airline will check your application very carefully, visa, all covid stuff, etc. Often return flight is expected. I have been denied flight a few times during the years.Airlines have to get you back and pay 5,000 $ fine iv you have been rejected at immigration for anything to do with docs and / or your qualification to enter the country.

Of course they will charge you the airticket at current rate. Nevertheless it doesn't bring many points to them. And in some cases they might fine their own check in agent.

This is why they are over careful about docs.

In one word. NO. The airline will refuse you boarding without E-Visa. Same as Uganda. They had to follow the same DUMB example like Kenya by eliminating VoA. What's the problem with only Evisa?I was in Kenya with VOA, very easy and smoth no issue. The main issue was to get out of Kenya with PCR test. It was a nightmare.

I heard about guys that keep the PDF so they use the same test for multiple visits.

When I left Kenya on the plan the captain announce 40 min delay as some passengers PCR was delayed and they already checked inn. This is happen only in Kenya airways when entire plan waiting 40 min to late passengers.

And the searched for nylon bags in you stuff in the airport security hoping to find something and charge you with a big fine. I did my homework and totally eliminate all Nylons. Kenya airways sent me email about it before the flight so I was prepared.

I would say in and out was very fast and VOA was just 40 min or so. When filling the VOA you need to provide hotel reservation or just saying you stay with a friend and add his phone number. Since I payed everything went smooth they only want the money and approve my VOA in zero time.

Now should I go to Kenya again? Well what has changed?

1. No curfew.

2. no police try to arrest you for violation of COVID.

3. Clubs open.

4. dry season arrived.

What not change.

1. I have no idea how to find quite apartment in Mtwapa beside the Israelis apartment and even there loud music.

2. ATM Issues-better to bring cash USD / Euros.

Overall, Jan to March is fantastic time for Kenya. Blue sky, clear sea water and girls everywhere.
