Not sure about the Central Park Hotel, as I have always stayed at Chester House and have always been very pleased. I was just in Nairobi 2 weeks back for 10 days and there was plenty of black bootie around. I frequented Simmers and also Madhouse next to Chester with good results at both, also hooked up with a chic from Afro that turned out nice. I haven't been to MSA in over a year so I am not much help there. Have found that most Kenyan women are in dire need of some romance and that leads to some great times once you get their blood boiling.

I can not claim to be an expert (I have only been to Nairobi ONCE) but I do agree with you.

When I visited last year I had NO PROBLEM in setting up meetings with several "20 something" freebie students before my trip.

All of them were HOT and not expecting any payment! (for FUN only.)

OK, it did take a bit of effort on my part before I went in setting up but, in my opinion it was WELL worth my investment in time.

Terminal hotel opposite Nakumat. Clean, basic and functional 5 mts walk from Madhouse, two years ago was 1800ksh + 200 lsh joiner feeYou can try Parkside. Its just two blocks from Terminal. On the opposite side of Nakumat from Terminal, facing the street turn right and go about 1 1/2 blocks. You find it. At 3600 its much better and probably all you will find at that price.

Close to Madhouse, Simmers, etc. If you wish numerous taxis line the street all night long. You will be fine. Nakumat is 24hr, there are people around. Doubt you will have any problem. That doesn't mean you take off on foot and walk over to River Road, etc.

Parksite hotel. 50 euro from my wallet was going. End my wallet was in HOTELSAFE. Central park hotel is in bad aria of nairobi (very naer river raod)River Road is still a fair distance from the Central Park hotel AND in the OPPOSITE direction of town where most mongers are likely to be headed to on foot or otherwise. The main road that leads into town from the hotel and dead ends at Moi avenue is Ronald Nagala. It's a busy road at all hours of the night (many bus stages there) which makes it difficult to be targeted, isolated and mugged.

Conversely, the Parkside is in an area that is sparsely populated at night and is DIRECTLY opposite Jeevanjee Gardens which is a notorious hiding place for thieves who easily victimize tourists on a regular basis.

Hi all. Have been lurking here for a few days picking up info for my first trip to Kenya.

I'm staying at Sankara in Westlands and I'm keen for some action as soon as I arrive. Therefore have made a deal with a cute hottie that I met online. i had planned this nearly 2 month long vacation back in the summer and got around to booking my award ticket on klm in september. however, by that time, there were no business class award seats from amsterdam to nairobi on the day i needed to travel, and i made the mistake of not going ahead and booking at least the coach class award seat from ams to nbo, so when i called back a few days later, there was nothing available for the week of december 10. i was screwed! but i am also persistent, and i found a routing from ams to nbo by going via dxb (never again). fyi: if you ever have to travel through dubai airport, make sure that your carryon does not weigh more than 10kg or else the airport will assess a fee per 5kg over that limit that goes to the airport, not the airline. imho, that is nothing but a money grab by dxb. and we are not talking about chump change as they wanted to charge me $60usd for my 7kg overage (i checked 1 bag at my point of origin but kept my smaller carryon rollaboard so i could stash the delft houses i collected and check them so as to not get them confirep001ed at the security checkpoint in dxb (found out this was not necessary like in other airports). i got them down to $30usd but it left a bad taste in my mouth as i had made it a point to peruse the dubai airport website and it said nothing about this. i digress. my total round trip airfare was about $200 due to the taxes for those 5 legs (ord-ams-dxb-nbo; nbo-ams-ord). i started my travel on 10 december but did not arrive in nbo until 12 december due to the dxb routing.

i arrived around 8 in the morning and i was met at the airport by lornah, an afro chick i had been chatting with. now she is a nice attractive young lady who has ambitions to become a medical professional, but i have now learned to not have a lady meet me at the airport upon arrival if my plans are to play the field, as even a first time meeting like this had the thought i would spend the entire time with her. it is all about managing expectations and i did not do well in that regard. took a taxi to the cbd which cost me 2, 000ksh. since i have visited nairobi on a number of occasions, i knew the typical fare is about 1, 500ksh but the guys would not budge. however, that when i subsequently made some domestic flights, i saw the price listing board did indicate standard taxi fare from jkia to cbd was now 2, 000ksh, so i felt good when i was able to talk a few taxi drivers down below that amount.

my 4 day stopover in nairobi was really just to allow me to catch up on my rest and to explore a few new possibilities; i was saving up my mongering strength for my upcoming visit to uganda, which had in the past gotten the short end of the stick with travel changes that cut my visit short. so it was kenya's turn this time around to get that treatment, even though i definitely hated that it happened like that (i will be posting in the mombasa thread; oh how i miss mombasa now!).

i decided to go low budget and so i stayed at my trusty hotel green court on latema road. a single full size bed runs 1, 800ksh and includes bed and breakfast. it is adequate in that you have on demand hot water, tv with standard local channels, clean bed with mosquito net; however, it lacks a / c or ceiling fan, the rooms are small as is the bathroom, and on the weekends, you had better be out at a club or busy in the company of female companionship as it is impossible to go to sleep with the music from the bar and club pumping into the rooms. however, i arrived during the weekday and exhausted after 2 days of travel, so i did not have a problem with it at all.

as i mentioned, i was met at the airport by a young 18 year old lornah. we made out in the taxi and after grabbing something to eat, catching a nap, and obtaining another sim for my cell phone and recharging my mobile broadband dongle, it was back to the hotel for a little action. started off with a shower, then bbbj and daty, but no intercourse was to be had due to her expression of pain each time i attempted to enter her. so i let her suck me off. she had a nice body and i liked her, so i gave it another go the next day, but the same thing happened. so i am in nairobi for 2 days and my dick had only seen the warm confines of her mouth. my advancing age may have cut down on my ability to bust 3 or 4 nuts in a row, but it has compensated by allowing me to go far longer before i ejaculate the first time, so her mouth became too tired to finish me off the second day. that sealed her fate. i accompanied her to her place and that was the last time i saw her.

on dec. 14, i went out to f2k and the attached pango strip club. i paid the 500ksh entry fee that covered entry into the strip club as well as f2k. i let it rain on one fine, black, slim, long-legged beauty, but i was reminded why i don't like going out to strip clubs, especially in places like africa or asia, and most definitely not in the usa as the chicks like to rub their asses up and down your leg while wearing the g-string lingerie and your pants end up smelling like pussy and ass. that is not a good look or smell when you are somewhere where you cannot just pop your pants into a washing machine. sum total, i dropped about 3, 500ksh on drinks and lap dances, and that is the main reason i will never do that again as i spent enough for 2 separate lts with a nairobi chick, at least 3 separate lts with a mombasa or kisumu chick and i got nothing except for a couple of drinks in pango's and a drink in f2k and some dirty, pussy and ass tainted pants as well as a hard on. not cool. but for guys that enjoy going out to a strip club, especially in a place like tijuana (i used to live in san diego and went down there a few times) , more power to you. i did manage to see a lady in f2k that was decent so i took her back to my spot and banged the punani after she got me going with a bbbj for 2, 000ksh. i did give her 500ksh for taxi fare as i needed to kick her out before the matatu's got going.

later that day on the 15th, i met up with an old afro connect from 2010 in her 30's and another one i met in 2011 who is in her 20's. the 30 year old is a professional and i will be seeing her again this year, so i won't be sharing any contact information about her. ditto for the 20 year old. while in nairobi, i freely moved about at all hours of the day and night and never did i take a taxi to get around except to travel from and to the airport. and i was packing a lot of cash with me and did not experience any theft, even staying in a low budget place like green court hotel. i just always kept the key with me whenever i left out. i also caught up with another afro chick i met last time and spent much of a week with and whom i knocked up, but she experienced a miscarriage. in looking back on this segment, i know that lornah does not represent all 18 year olds, but some of my best experiences have been with ladies no younger than 20 and no older than 35, so i think that is where i will concentrate my connections going forward. after catching up with them and hanging out all night with joy, i took a taxi to jkia on 16 dec for 1, 500ksh and flew my black tail to kampala, uganda.

sorry for lack of exciting recounts, but i assure you that kampala more than made up for my pedestrian start and mombasa has me chomping at the bit to return soon and very soon.

for those wondering how i got around intra-africa air travel, i flew kenya airways since their fares were comparable to fly 540. i have status with skyteam so i decided to go that route. however, next time i come back and have to fly to uganda, tanzania, rwanda, madagascar, malawi, ethiopia, south africa, and within kenya, i will fly ethiopia, fly 540 and even south africa airways due to a change in mileage credit associated with certain skyteam partners, and kenya airways tends to have the higher fares among the other skyteam partners for the distance flown.

For an educated worker, possibly with a Bachelors Degree your looking at a salary range of 75,000-100,00 Shillings per month. The young lady at Tusky's taking your money is somewhere between 30,000-40,000 Shillings.

If I was a chic I would probably end up with a Willyboy knowing my luck.

Wednesday 20th February 2013. Naivasha police are in hot pursuit of a gang suspected to have robbed and killed a middle aged bar cleaner in Mai Mahiu.

The man is said to have received his salary the day he met his death. It is alleged that the killers had followed him from the workplace to his house on Monday night where they murdered him.

According to neighbors, they discovered his body on Tuesday morning with deep cuts on the head and belly.

It is alleged that the gang beat him up and robbed him the salary amounting to Sh3, 000, his mobile phone and TV set. The motive of the attack is still unclear.

Naivasha police Chief Charles Kortok confirmed the incident saying that the man is suspected to have bled to death. He assured residents that security will be beefed up in the area.

I tried recently "Sonyas Therapy" (massage parlour) in Gill House (entrance between T-Mboya St and Moi Avenue) .4th floor. Up the stairs on the 4th floor U-turn to your right and at the end of the corridor you find a red painted door "Sonyas Therapy". in the mapping exercise. 137 hotspots were identified, and included 71 bars (51. 8%).47 street-based venues (34. 3%).10 hotels (7. 3%).5 sex dens (3. 6%) , and 4 (2. 9%) strip clubs. eleven (9%) of these hotspots were noted to be busy during both day and night and therefore the timing of the enumeration was expanded for these sites. a total of 34 teams, each consisting of at least two enumerators and one or more sex workers peer leaders, were formed. the teams were further clustered into five groups each under two supervisors. the supervisors oversaw how the group members conducted the enumeration at allocated hotspots.

on day one, a total of 3, 070 sex workers were counted. 327 sex workers refused, and 228 were busy with clients (table 1). on day two. 2,901 sex workers were captured. 1,290 of whom were recaptures. on day 2, 243 sex workers refused to participate in the exercise while another 205 were busy with clients. based on these data, nairobi cbd was estimated to host 6, 904 sex workers with 95% confidence intervals between 6, 690 and 7, 118.

we utilized a combined mapping and capture-recapture enumeration exercise. the majority of identified hotspots in this study were bars. based on this exercise, we estimate that 6, 904 male and female sex workers (95% confidence intervals. 6690 and 7118) were working nightly in the nairobi cbd in april 2009. wide ranges of captures per spot were obtained, suggesting that relatively few hot spots (18%) contain a relatively high proportion of the area's sex workers (65%).

A section of residents in Nairobi is unhappy with the rapidly changing skyline, saying it is hurting their business.

It is a contradiction, but the rise of new buildings, especially in downtown Nairobi tracing Luthuli Avenue, River Road, and part of Ngara, is leaving commercial sex workers a distressed lot. The old lodges, hotels, and buildings being taken up by malls and new classy hotels is not only changing the ambiance, it is also driving the lot farther out of town.

Some of the over 7, 000 commercial sex workers in the city are unhappy with the changes. They say that with the opening up of the city, some of the hotels and lodgings where they used to operate have been refurbished and are now malls and stalls, especially in Nairobi's downtown.

The current Extreme Sounds building along Luthuli Avenue, which harbours stalls selling music systems and mobile phones, among other goods, was formerly the home of Three New Eden brothel.

'When we saw Three Eden closed and in its place new stalls put up, we knew our time here was up, and many more such places are now being transformed into other businesses, even supermarkets, ' said Mary-Loise, a commercial sex worker who patronises Luthuli Avenue.

There is also Nairobi Matt that is yet to be fully operational after being transformed from City Lodge.

Some of the sex workers have said that the developments have scared away their clients, who cannot keep track of their location as the city gradually changes.

A number of other places that have been transformed include Jerry City — along Kirinyaga Road — that is still under construction, and former Inooro Hotel Club, now County Hotel.

County Park Hotel is now a high-end facility handling international visitors and select customers after it was transformed into a three-star restaurant.

The current New Amar Bar and Restaurant was formerly Amar Place, and Inora.

'We used to make between Sh8, 000 and Sh10, 000 on a good day, but nowadays even Sh2, 000 is a nightmare to us because the city council officers have become more vigilant, ' said Julie Brown, another commercial sex worker.

They said that they were considering moving out of Nairobi and added that over the next five years, the idea of waiting for clients along the corridors of some of the remaining hotels where their trade goes on will almost be impossible.

Perhaps high-end areas along Koinange Street might survive the development.

This, according to them, has been made worse by the fact that life in Nairobi has become expensive.

The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) , a UK firm, recently conducted a research which found that Nairobi is the second most expensive city in Africa after Lagos in Nigeria.

It said Nairobi's ranking is linked to the steep rise in the cost of six goods in a basket used to measure relative prices.

An audit by a task force revealed that some entrepreneurs were circumventing the law by running brothels disguised as licensed massage parlours.

A 2012 Nairobi City Council report set up by then lawyer George Aladwa indicated that some people have opened massage parlours which they use as brothels.

Hello to all fellow mongers, time to give back to the Kenya forum. Landed 5 th April evening Nairobi. Did not do any prebooking. Taxi is unfortunately Ksh 2000 as previously reported from AP to CBD. Cleared Immigration got a local Safaricom Simcard, pulled out some KSh at the airport. I stay at the Central Park Hotel, got the resident rate without a lot of arguing double for 3800 ksh a night. As I prefer semis I went the first night Friday to Black Diamond. Good crowd, good selection. Taxi is 500 from CBD to Westlands prepare to haggle. Took my time at the bar and picked a nice 22 yo semi Kikuyu. Performance was average, no DATY, various positions, average BBBJ. In the morning I gave her 1000 ksh taxi money. My mistake was I dated her a second time, and then she pulled out the GF card and it got expensive, she wanted to Black Diamond again, have some dinner on Saturday and hit me with request of 3000 ksh in the morning. Therefore she shot herself out. Will not call her again. Turned out that she had already a number of white BFs and high expectations for low performance. Today I took the most cool caribbean music disco bus which I like, spontaneaously to Eastlands, in the bus I met a nice Meru girl and we exchange phones. Maybe today there will be some more no pro action. Alternatively I heard about a very cool reggae club in BuruBuru Eastlands called Latitude. Here is my summery of a 12 days trip to Nairobi this February. I left just before the elections and had no inconvenience because of them.

Accomodation:

I stayed at terminal Hotel in moktar dadah street right opposite the nakumatt lifestyle. They charge 2000 ksh per night. The building and rooms are time worn but it is a good budget choice with reliable stuff in the center of the business district. In the nakumatt complex there are some restaurants and a fast cyber. Near the entrance there is a café with a terrace and one can conveniently watch all the people coming and going from their shopping. The terminal hotel is without breakfest or gym, but I had the java coffeeshop and the premium fitnesscenter at koinage street within walking distance.

Girls:

From the point of view of mongering I was not very successful. My goal was to play exclusivly in the amateur league and with this self imposed restriction things turned out to be a bit complicated.

So during an afternoon walk in the shops at tom mboya street I could have made several dates but the dates with these private girls were not easygoing. Perhaps I concentrated also to long on one particular girl, a 28 year old waitress with slim waist and large pendular tits. After two dates without sex I was not sure whether finishing with here or flirting around with here some more. Before my trip I wrote that this time I was travelling with a heavy smoking friend and received some kind advices. In the rooms of the hotel where ashtrays so the problem was solved. The smoking corner in the jevanjee park is really small and your are surrounded by smoking kenyans asking you for money and inviting you to massai market.

Warning:

The only reliable source I found was the following link, which however also does not give concrete statistics but generally states the risk for contracting malaria in nairobi city is VERY LOW as long as you stay within the city limits and most cases of malaria in nairobi seem to be imported from otther parts of the country.

To each his own, you do what you want, but I think your missing the whole point of this forum and working woman.

Last day in Mombasa before flying to Nairobi.

26 Jan – After having breakfast, she accompanied me to the airport and saw me off since I decided to fly back to Nairobi early ahead of my Tuesday departure. In hindsight, I should have stayed on through Sunday. However, I had arranged a Saturday noon lunch meeting with another afro connect and was to go clubbing with a afro chick I met the last time in Nairobi. I also decided to upgrade my accommodation experience and booked a night in both Chester House ($100USD) and Hilton ($150USD). I took the pre-arranged taxi to Chester House, but you can do better by just taking a taxi waiting at the airport. That would save you 500 to 700 bob. I met up with my noon date and she was nice. She is a true non pro and has a good job, and I plan to meet her again when back in Nairobi. Later, I met up with my other afro gf Ms. J (no, not the Ms. J from Tyra Banks America's Next Top Model since I only swing straight, if you know what I mean). Unfortunately, my condition did not improve much even after removing the tick and I just did not feel up to going clubbing which was my mistake. So that sums up my Africa trip from this period. It started with a short stay in Nairobi followed by a longer stay in Kampala. Then a quick jaunt out to Accra for a week's stay before stopping in at Kisumu, Mombasa and Nairobi all under two weeks time. In the past, all of my travel to Africa had been on either Delta or KLM, and I don't see that changing. And I had hopped around within Africa on Kenya Airways. Now that will change as I also want to visit Rwanda and Ethiopia and I have found I could get a short taste by flying either Ethiopia Airways or Rwandair and staying there overnight. Plus, they offer cheaper fares than Kenya Airways. So all of that combined with fact I can no longer get full frequent flyer mileage credit with Kenya Airways has caused me to go with the absolute lower priced fare when traveling within Africa. My FF status affords me perks I am not ready to give up on the long haul flights however.

Update: I am totally recovered from the tick bite and actually went on a 2 month work excursion in West and Central Africa about a month after returning from this outing.

For an educated worker, possibly with a Bachelors Degree your looking at a salary range of 75, 000-100, 00 Shillings per month. The young lady at Tusky's taking your money is somewhere between 30, 000-40, 000 Shillings.

I am currently dealing with a not so pleasant issue at home now so it may be awhile before I post my trip report with photos. I just returned home from Nairobi last week (perfect timing considering JKIA International terminal burned down this morning).

I think the next time I travel, I may just stick with one lady with an occasional fling on the side to spice things up. They even charge 1, 600 or 1, 800 kshs for trips to Panari and Eka hotels, so you won't save much by staying close to airport (as I understand it, they will transform one of the other terminals to handle international arrivals, but that may take a few days). However, taxis out in CBD will take you to airport for only 1, 500 kshs, so if you already have a taxi contact away from airport, you might be able to just get by paying 1, 500 kshs. Don't bother with exchanging cash at the airport unless you are arriving late and have no schillings on you to pay for SIM, airtime and taxi. In that case, I would only exchange no more than 50USD. The exchange rate at the airport was 1USD equalled 83kshs whereas I was able to get 87kshs out in town.

I stayed at Hotel Green Court on Latema Road in Nairobi. The rate there is now 2K kshs for a single (you can have 1 other person stay with you) and 3, 500 kshs for a double (you can bring 3 other people to stay with you). The only moral policing they do is that 2 people of the same gender cannot stay in the single room (not a problem for me since I don't swing that way). The place is undergoing renovation, so it is not bad (fresh paint, nice tiles, new chairs). But it still lacks A / C or fan, but that is not a problem if you go in July, August, November, or December since it is really cool in Nairobi those months. Yes, the bar and club downstairs goes until 2 or 3 in the morning on the weekend (I slept nonetheless despite the noise). The room rate also includes breakfast for 1 in the single and 2 in the double. I know that Hotel Green Court is not in the same league as say, Chester House, Hilton, InterContinental, Serena, Sankara, Tribe, Boma, Eka, or Panari, but if you are just looking for an inexpensive pad to sleep and fuck in that also has hot water and is clean, then it is perfect. Yes, the matatu stand is busy outside, but that is also a nice feature in that many of the fine Nairobi ladies pass through there on their way to and from home and work or wherever they are going. If I did not have so many prearranged hookups, I would have just stood on one of the corners and pursued whatever fancied my eye. The same can be done at the Nakumatt downtown. For those who are daring and want to see what comes out at night, ladies of the night can be found on the corner of Latema and River Road and along River Road and the other street parallel to it that is nearer to Tom Mboya. I did walk that area late at night, but I did so as though I was a martial arts specialist, never tipsy and very alert as there as some dicey folks out there. I declined all of the lady of night propositions for a good time, so I cannot say how much they would go for, though 1K or even 500kshs may be the ball park. I just know those ladies are hustlers with pimps, so I don't seek to get myself in such situations.

If you do stay in this area, you should also know that there is an alley adjacent to the hotel toward Tom Mboya where the locals buy their liquor. So if you want to get your drink on cheaply, that might be a place to check out. Heineken beers go for 200kshs in the bars. Sodas are half that price. Tea is half the price of sodas (in the restaurant). If you go to Java House or Dorman's, the sodas are slightly more expensive but the tea and coffee are 3 times the price you pay in the restaurant.

I actually found it preferable to eat where the locals eat which is less expensive than eating at the 4 star hotels, and the franchise and international restaurants. I never got sick eating with the locals.

But I do caution you guys to be careful. I know that many of you are scared to death of HIV / AIDS, but do know that there are other things out there that can kill you, and do so even faster than HIV can. I met a dear friend whom I never kissed nor fucked. She has a banging body and is very attractive. She was not feeling well when I was just there. She found out she has TB. I am not concerned since our meetings were brief and often outside. TB, if untreated, will kill you faster than untreated HIV. So think twice about kissing those chicks you meet in the night club. Not trying to be a downer or spoiler. Just keeping it real. Does that mean I am kicking my friend to the curb? No. She is getting treatment, and successful treatment will result in her condition not being contagious.

I did stay at Chester House for my last two nights in Nairobi. I had a studio for $124USD. If you stay at any of the other places, you might find a rate of $159 or $169 on lower occupancy days, but when you factor in the mandatory 28 percent VAT (damn that is too damn high!) , you will end up paying over $210USD per night for that room. $50USD in taxes! That represented 2 nights stay at Hotel Green Court!

Well, I must go take care of business. I just hope those in Kenya now have flexible plans (and extra money).

OK thanks. Good info. Can you name your best hunting bars then? Madhouse, Black Diamond, etc. Just a few weeks till my virgin Kenya trip.I stayed at Chesterhouse and was directly across the street, from MADHOUSE and I like the atmosphere. The huge bouncer, Benson I think, will take care of you. Simmers in walking distance too. There are also many.

Little bars in cubbyholes around CBD that you just have to know where they are. Women took me around. A really good one is directly across from Nations bank on BANDI ST. Heavy on Reggae music and a good place to relax. I saw very few mzungu there, I don't know why? Everyone there is professional after work crowd and some hotties are around.

Clubs already mentioned here are good for hunting, but not as central as CBD action.

A very real non-pro and her friend told me they are shy of white guys because everyone will think they selling p*ssy. So that is something to remember.

Next time I want to push my last limits and try Eastlands and beyond. Its like when I went to Jamaica. I stayed away from the all inclusives and had a blast with a local taking me around.

Name of the game is exploring new territory, not reinventing the wheel.

As if to prove the point in the previous entry below, last night I hit the streets of town & a few other select places around the fringes of town and despite the fact the clubs / usual spots were open but pretty quiet there was plenty of street activity. OK so some were doing the usual hollering 'Babeee' and running after the car (I always stay well away from these women, they are usually bad news) but the majority were just out & about & available, including one who had perhaps the most momentous butt & hips I have ever seen here (and for Kenya that really is saying something!).

After closing the deal we moved on to my usual haunt and I simply could not believe how this woman could walk with any sense of balance at all. She had a 52 inch butt (which is insane) & small hips (and big tits) and she was pretty hot looking with it. She had a hardened pro approach at first which I soon softened, and in the process got squirted on! She was half Kenyan, half Rwandese the latter half explaining the squirting skills (as expanded in this thread recently). Here is a travel nightmare. I can officially say I have survived an African travel nightmare. LOL. First trip too.

So trip is done in Mombassa and I had scheduled my flight from mombassa to leave at 7pm and get to nariobiat 8pm.

That leaves 4 hours leaway which I thought is pretty good for connection on Brussels airways at 11:50 pm.

Of course my Kenya airlines flight from mombassa at 7 is delayed until 11pm. I scramble to get on the 8pm flight. Get on that one. If your flght is ever delayed watch out as they are sometimes moved to he end of the que for the day. I didn't know that. So the 8pm is delayed until 8:40pm.

The domestic flight are now landing in cargo terminal. So I land about 10pm. Then you are bused to this outside area. Then they pull up a tractor with your luggage. Wait about half hour and get my luggage. Then you have to get a cab to the international terminal because you can't wait for the free bus. I don't know how often that runs. Pay 500 ksh to get to airport.

Run in through security and get in line about 11pm. Talked to 2 agents. Sir that flight is closed. You cannot board you must be here hour or hour and a half before flight. I maybe should have pushed harder here but wasn't getting anywhere.

So here I am at midnight in Naroibi with nowhere to go. Half the airport burnt down. LOL.

Go to Swissair ticket window and get 2500USD change fee etc. Sir you can go on standby tomorrow on Brussels for 200 change fee. I asked her what was percent me getting on 30% she said. Oh great I can send a week here doing stand by. She said to call united in morning who I booked the flight with and they can change me.

So I figure chester house at 160 night plus cabs plus change fees I am at 400 bucks there and no guarantee getting home.

She told me try Qatar airlines they have flight leaving. I said to myself if its under 1000 I am doing it. I have to get to work and can't be spending a week here in Naroibi. You know the feeling you just want out. So the agent got me a ticket for 999USD after a half hour of lost visa connections and him not knowing how to do a ticket. LOL. I felt like I was in a movie in some ramshackle room in the middle of Africa with flys buzzing around my head.

Get to tent area of Qatar and board the plane to Dahu. I didn't even know where that was. Get there at 6:50am and boarding at my next flight 7:05 am. Great just what I need. Another long bus ride and 2 securities and I get to the line going to JFK.

Have you ever flown with a plane full of Indians? LOL. It is not fun. I had 6 screaming Indian babies around me for 13 hours. Older lady with complete Indian outfit was in my seat. She only spoke Hindu and finally agreed to move to middle seat. Then said in Hindu. That evil white man may he go to hell. LOL.

Get to JFK breeze through customs. Kiss the ground. Totally wiped. Diarriah from 6 airplane meals. Tmi I know.

So lesson learned is never miss those connections if you book separately. As Kenyan airways and United are 2 different ticket itinieries. Probably should fly in to Narobi and go to madhouse your last night then you are guaranteed to get on. And show up early or they close the counters and your up the creek like me.

United said tnite I might get some credit for missed final leg. They wouldn't tell me amount so I am fishy about how much I will get back from my 1500USD ticket.

No reservations in Mombasa north beach hotels yet, hopefully not too full. I am thinking visiting Diana beach first for a couple of days, I had nice experiences there last time.

Last time I was one night in Nairobi on a way to Mombasa and went to Florida Mad House. I had not picked girls from there for long time because I thought that they are too hardcore, but I had been too worried. I met two really hot ladies, I took hotter one to my hotel which was Chester.

It is less than 20 minutes from the airport.

As soon as I heard about this, I contacted all of my friends (did not realize I had contacted so many!). All are safe and stayed in Saturday night. I would imagine many of the clubs were emptier than usual and I don't blame them one bit. My black ass would have just called up one of my girlfriends and we would have kept each other warm and safe.

I also imagine some people are reconsidering their future travel plans to Kenya. Although I do not want to die before my natural time, I can honestly say I have no fear of sissy tailed terrorists. I guess serving a tour of duty in Iraq did change me, and even though I did not see combat, I always had to be prepared for the unexpected, including the mentally and psychologically taxing mortar attacks that occurred on a regular basis.

FINALLY, back in NBO. Sorry C'house raised its prices. They agreed to a 10% discount which I can easily afford but still too much for a less than average hotel, especially since I pay a fraction of this in LOS for great rooms. Am at the 680. Is clean but old hotel. I wait about 4-5 min. Every time for the cranky elevator. Front desk staff are idiots. I paid for double for the entire stay, but the girl at the desk said I had to pay 2000 / nite for guest. The little pouch that hold the room key says either single or dbl, which he changed to dbl. Keep that little pouch, thats what they go by when you bring in the chick. 680 is close to the action, but I would not do it again. Fist night in, I called my first Afro connect. Back to this hotel. I would not reccomend 680 to future mongers. I can find no good with this dump. The food horrible, staff rude and stupid and room is shit for this price. I asked for an extra towel and was denied! I eat at Chesterhouse and they have a very good grilled fish fillet. My tagged contact from a previous visit came by to see me in the eve. She promises to bring a friend for three way next time. But she justs want to be entertained tonight-But to no avail-she forgot I'd. And the chick behind the desk was no way going to bend. After 3 weeks in a Mtwapa 1200 ksh guesthouse I had the desire for some luxary for the final week of my Kenya stay and therefor asked at the reception of the Sarova Stanley about their room rates. The receptionist said it is 270 USD for a single room. Since I had something of 130 USD in mind from my January 2012 trip I gave the Hilton my second try. The receptionist told me about 255 USD for a doubleroom. Asked if negotiable she confirmed a 20 USD discount. Since this was still too much she asked me: How much are you ready to pay?

I said at most 120 euro which she calculated as 164 USD. Finally she gave me the number of an agent who according to her could give me the best rate. The best rate of the agent turned out to be 200 USD for a single. When I asked about acceptance of an additional guest after some further negotiating the agent confirmed that a guest is allowed untill 8 pm but if she would stay longer I would have to pay the price for the double room of 255 USD.

All in all I did not want to pay for one night in Nairobi more than for 14 days in Mombasa so I decided to try the Central Parc in the Sheik Karume street, which was for 3800 KSH. I was not asked for the resident status. The guest has to present the I'd at the reception.

Some locals told me it is advisable to take a taxi after 9 pm for saftety reasons in this hotel's area different from the area around Florida Madhouse and Simmers, where there should be safe walking until midnight. I would give the Central Parc Hotel a 2, 5 star rating by european standards so considering the price I was OK with this recommendation.

For the taxi from the airport to the city center I had to pay 2000 KSH which was argued by the heavy traffic. And it was heavy since it was a 1.5 hours drive which should normally last half an hour. For the trip from the Central Park Hotel back to the airport at night I found a taxi for 1.500 KSH

Pulled the plug today and bought my ticket to Africa. It's my first time to the continent and I can't wait!

I will arrive at the very end of Feb '14. I'm splitting a total of 11 nights between Nairobi and Mombasa.

I have read over 100 pages of info on the places, but curious if anyone cares to share their opinion of how best to divide the time. My plan is to first stay 5 nights in Nairobi then 6 nights in Mombasa. If anyone finds flaws in my plans, I beg of you to share your knowledge. Please note, I'm flying back to the USA via Mombasa. There's no changing this.

My hotel of choice for Mombasa is Kahama hotel.

For Nairobi, I'm leaning toward Kenya Comfort Hotel because of the location, gf, and cost. I'm also looking at Natural Oak Apartments and Hotel Central Park. If someone has a good recommendation, I deeply appreciate the assistance.

Now the hard part is waiting almost three months to leave. I don't have to worry about having time to gather info! LOLI would reduce my time in Nairobi by at least 2 or 3 days and add them to your stay in Mombasa. Some might urge you to completely skip Nairobi, but since it is your first time I think Nairobi will provide a valuable experience providing you go out to the various excellent museums and historical venues.

Also, there's nothing wrong with the hotels you've chosen. I especially like Kahama....make sure you go to Il Covo, a great beach front Italian restaurant about a 5 minute walk from Kahama, for one of their disco nights. Magical things can happen.

It was a pain in the a$$ at night when I like to start the evening. Their internet sucked and you will be having the issue of finding food, walking to food or cooking your own. Their front office was painfully slow at responding to emails. I mean weeks not days! I think this place is better for experienced Nairobi monger that really needs to be discrete (as in someone that likes young girls). After the guard lets you in the gate, there is no walk of shame. It's like a regular apartment.

Nothing better than taking your chosen provider from SIMMERS / Madhouse right around the corner to your hotel. Mombasa is to Nairobi as Pattaya is to Bangkok. Unless you do very well at talking internet connects into bed, I would also suggest more time in Mombasa, where the women are looking for you in the beach town at more locations. Nairobi might be overwhelming for first timer.

These past few days have been mind blowing on Afro Intro and FB. I recommend any newbie look back 100+ pages. There's so much good info on this board.

I followed some of the recommendations ISG has for building FB contacts. I'm at the point of RECEIVING friend requests from some beautiful and young women. On Afro Intro, I have over 50 favorites and over the next couple weeks I will trim it down to the top twenty and start my interviewing then.

I would suggest check your tetanus vaccination and update if needed, and if possible, get oral typhus. Chances are not too great you would have any problems, much would depend how long you plan to be there and where you plan to be taking meals. So, for most part you are covered with yellow fever, which as I stated has not been required BUT you never know just when you might be singled out to look at your yellow fever vaccination record. Had it happen to me twice in over 20 years. Usually would happen only in passing to or from a neighboring country.

You will be fine and have a great time. No need to be paranoid mate, just take your prophylaxis and wear your prophylactics. And have a great time. You didn't say anything about "stomach problems" which can happen to anybody from time to time. And we do not want that to interfere with anything especially your time with a beatuiful lady. Make sure you carry with you a round (6 tabs) of Cipro or something similar. If you find you are having problems take 500 mg twice daily for 3 days. When I enter the area I drive slowly and take some where a drink in the small hotels (café or restaurant in Kenya) or by the big malls like galleria- tuskys.

In the small hotels are most of time what targets or they hear that there is a Westerner and come inside. Offer a drink and talk ask for some information about the route etc. And scoor.

Stop by a market and make a little walk and get what you want special there where are no westerners you have always success.

Car jacking I drive all 10 years here by day and night a stop for close always my doors and stop for nobody even not for a accident. By a police control open alone your window and be always ready to pull out even back wards let nobody enter your car (the police must ask you for permission to enter)

Do not take any lifter and when you want to pick up a girl stop a 10- 15 meters later so that you can see of she is alone.

But for me is that hunting a adventure and I have always a score I do not like the way how it work in the city with always the same girls who are there every evening and night.
