From that one visit, I would assume that it is easy to build again, it was very simple built beach restaurant, quite nice beach place. Let's hope they will get it running again.
Coming to the last few days of this trip to Mombasa.
Saturday I went to Cheers bar then to Sheba then to Tapaz. Was a startling difference between the 3.

Several guys with machetes, knives and wooden sticks took all the money and phones and even clothes. According to police and locals rather common. Diani is quiet at night. Perfect conditions for those guys. Others got money stolen at hotels (not only at Diani, but also at north coast. Or got drugged and robbed. No wonder that there are not many tourists. Walk at the beach and you will be almost alone (beside the vendors).
And watch out, if the "3 months" are clearly written at your visa. Another guy got victim of a new (scam when he left Kenya.
The female officer said, that the very unclear written number was a "1". She threatened him with jail or alternatively 300 USD.
He got away with "only" 150 USD.

I call it entrance fee to paradise. Well with small defects. There is gangs on motobikes armed even with AKs which are rented out by enterprising cops. By the way, that Nakumat, it was big chain in whole Kenya, and also neighboring countries like Tanzania and Uganda. I am not sure what went wrong, some internal disputes with owners. So it was not only Diani Nakumat, all of them are closed now.The actual holdup was at Sundowner on the way to Galu beach, but according to locals and police happens also at other places. Hardly any restaurant has armed guards. Many areas in Diani are dark at night.

Nakumatt City Mall taken over by a ZA supermarkt chain.It is not common. An expat friend of mine has been robbed twice by motorcycle gangs in Bamburi and Shanzu. But over a course of 10 years. Don't resist you'll be fine. Diana also a regular feature. Couple of years ago a swiss national got himself killed by resisting. Its not very frequently but does happen.

You can score with ANY girl be it in the matatu, ask your hairdresser, your pedicure, the girl at the supermarket cashier's desk the girls shopping at african markets. Check out Cheers and Safari inn on the nights of the live bands as you will get people out for that, plenty bar flies looking for men.

But in my experience, when Safari Inn has live band nights, whole Cheers crowd is there, and Cheers is empty. In Safari Inn, all the girls (including Cheers girls), tell you that they are there first time, and they are students or waitresses in some other restaurants. Classified Kenyan Hotels operate at a so called non-resident rate which is always quoted in foreign currency and is considerably higher than the so called resident rate which is quoted in Kenyan shillings. I never pay the higher non-resident rate which is always quoted on online booking platform sites. That's why it pays not to pre-book. You overpay big time. This system was introduced to bring in foreign currency while enabling the residents to avail themselves to the lower ksh tates.
What you do is this. Show up at the front desk. Say Jambo. Habari gani and ask for the resident rate. If they ask you for your residence in Kenya tell them a fictitious PO Box adress in Nairobi. Voila. If you play by the book you're going to be ripped off BIG time. Nobody gives a rats ass if you're actually resident or not.

Can somebody help?Ok. Greater Mombasa area breaks down in four hunting districts. Mombasa Island proper. Nyali. Bamburi / Shanzu. And lastly Mtwapa actually belonging already to Kilifi County.
Mombasa Island.
Clubs. Casablanca 2 floors full of chicas.
Florida near the port. DO NOT move on foot at night. Strictly uber / taxi. There is more drinking dens in the area. But only for the brave hearted. Somewhere there is a disco with poor students in need of financial support. Ask. Expect higher prices there 2 to 3 k ksh. Plus transport.
Nyali.
Upscale playground for the rich and famous.
Daytime. City Mall. Cafesserie.
Nyali Centre. Naivas. Java Coffee House.
Night. Sheba. Anuba Lounge. Bobs Bar. 2 k and up depending on you negotiating skills and your looks.
Bamburi / Shanzu.
Beach playground. Lower class hookers. Sit at Big Tree during low tide or evening BEFORE sunset. Pirates.Cheers.
Shanzu. Yuls. Safari Inn.
Tipp for the bravehearted. Go during morning to Bamburi town or Bombolulu. Never at night. Don't run around with a big camera playing tourist. Blend in.
Lastly my favourite.
Mtwapa.
Dayhunting sit on the main drag between posta and Luck Apartments. Wellfit German bakery highly recommend. Youll see chicas with high heels already in the morning. Its malaya (hooker) central. Walk around main road. Big tuskys. Have a Tusker at La Marina Beach in the afternoon.
Nighttime.
Casuarina. Naiz. Banhof. Kendas.
Avoid venturing late night into the slum area on the other side of Malindi Mombasa road. Bandit country.

I am a Brit and have lived in Mombasa and Nairobi on and off over the last 15 years, this post is all you need to know about Mombasa, 100%.I was not staying 15 j in Mombasa. If you not make appointment about sex price in Kenya. You can have super big troubles. One time I was giving 2 k for less than 1 h (no appointment before) end the girls try to make end all was in my room. End the one of room must pay all. The police can come to your end arrest you end not the girl.

When you go a kilometer or two from Mwtapa town to direction of Malindi, you get to big petrol station, where is also Danga Lounge upstairs.
This Danga Lounge was kind of center of the Mwtapa night life, often better than Casourina. Although building is in service station, it is upscale place. Usually I checked both Casourina and Danga Lounge when I visited in Mwtapa town, it is worth of visiting if Casourina has boring night.
At the backyard of the building there is big terasse, could have action in daytime and earlier in the evening, I have never checked.
Danga Lounge had lot of local people in groups, but usually some girl also looking for customer. I was there always with one girl, so I could not try to get those working girls. But this is like Nyali places, you can't go directly to try negotiate the prize, you can't be sure that girl is there for work, like in Casourina.
Danga is so near to Mwtapa that you can take a mototaxi, if you dare.
Bamburi town or community, there are two big bars next to each others, very crowded at weekends, lively during week also. Bamburi town is big community, normally no reason to go there, just like Shanzy.
In Citymall and Naivas, there are lot of people in Naivas shopping centre clubs, Anuba, Tabas and Hypnotic. But usually there were group of people together, not pair of girls. Sheba lounge in top of City mall was more of place where working girls were. It was very silent half a year ago, but I have heard that it is renovated now, and popular again. That used to be place where girls were looking for business.
In ancient times, it was so easy in Mombasa region at nights, just go to Casourina, no need to go anywhere else. Look at what happened to Simmers. There's people trying to take the land off you by creating court cases. Ruto gobbled up the Simmers Land. They just kill you by drawn out expensive court cases. Eventually you ll drop out when you spend all your money. The one with the deeper pocket takes over.
Some years back, people couldn't wait for the weekend to go out and have a good time with their friends at the club. That is hardly the case nowadays with more and more people choosing to stay at home and indulge. So what happened to the Kenyan club scene?
Here are ten reasons why Kenyan nightlife is not as vibrant as it used to be.
1. The Music.
The music is trash. A lot of DJs play the same songs. I used to think it was because revellers demanded a certain type of sound or particular songs but I've realised that might not be the case. Some DJs just lack originality. So why are some of our DJs so lazy? People go out to listen to fire mixes, dance and enjoy themselves but when the DJ is streaming a YouTube mix or playing the same song three times during their set, then the audience is getting a raw deal.
2. Overpriced drinks.
A beer that would normally go for about Ksh. 200-250 is hiked to about Ksh. 350 or higher. A bottle of your favourite liquor might have over Ksh. 1,000 added to it's regular price. The cocktails are costly and watered down. I would rather drink at home with friends and save a couple of thousands.
3. Harassment by police.
The areas around clubs are always swarmed with cops. You'the be mistaken to think the heavy police presence is to keep revellers safe. But the police aren't there to protect you, they are there to exploit you. They will arrest you and shake you down for a bribe while you club hop and if you can't pay up, it's a night in the can for you.
4. Security.
If you don't get robbed inside the club, you'll get robbed outside the club. Having to constantly worry about your belongings is a major buzzkill when you're trying to have a good time. If it's not worrying about your belongings, it's being extra vigilant that someone doesn't spike your drink or corner you and sexually harass you.
5. Zero crowd control.
I get it, clubs aren't necessarily made to be the roomiest of places but the overcrowding in clubs is a little too much. You hardly have breathing room and it's uncomfortable to have strangers' bodies that close to yours. The bouncers and management should restrict entry when the clubs are full and not be too greedy to make profit at the revellers expense.
6. The crowds are too young.
What happened to checking IDs at the door? Or those age specific clubs that restricted entry if you weren't past a certain age? Or maybe they still exist but it's just lip service. Anyway, it's difficult to socialize and have a good time when you're not sure if the people in the club with you are in your age bracket, or worse, if they're of legal age.
7. People who can't handle their liquor.
They are quite the party poopers. They get very drunk and start fights or bother the rest of the club with their belligerence.
8. Tiny, stinky toilets.
First of all, why do all clubs have tiny toilets? It baffles me how a club can have just two or three stalls in each loo and expect it to be adequate for the number of customers they'll be having. Because when you have 15-20 people using two stalls in an hour, the toilets get dirty pretty fast. Sometimes there isn't any flowing water which makes the situation worse.
9. Poor service.
It can take you all of 20 years to get a server to your table and another century before you get your drinks or food. This happens even when the club is empty. Sometimes the servers have the sternest of expressions, you get scared to engage with them. They also try to rip you off with the bill by adding items that you didn't order.
10. Ambiance sucks.
Some club interiors are just ugly. Their idea of interior design is having a couple of stools at the bar, and horrible rectangular red or black couches in a corner. You add overcrowding, bad music, poor service and overpriced drinks to the mix and you have a sham entertainment experience.
I remember only 5 years ago I used to go to Kendas. I loved that place. Ugandan pole dancers. If you liked one you slipped a couple of ksh notes in her string. After the show you took her home for a shag. Big round central bar. Good selector playing my favourite Dance Hall and Bongo tunes. Last year I was there. Now converted to a slick sports bar. Atmosphere killed. Pole Dancers gone. Shite music. I could cry. Same happened to Banhof. African drinking den. Atmosphre GONE. Another fancy utterly boring place. Naiz. Thanks god still exists? Or has it been razed to the ground too by road reserve? Casuarina the last authentic joint left over. Tembo gone. Florida and Simmers in Nairobi gone. Florida should have been a protected landmark. As John Auro pointed out. Where does one go to pick up chicas? Nowhere. Thanks god in Kampala there is still loads of authentic joints like Capital Pub or Vision Congo in Kabalagala as well as upscale places as De Posh. For me clear. Nairobi as raunchy party venue is finished. Go to Kampala half price for chicas and an ice cold Nile.

Rising costs of living. Lack of package tourists. Since 2007 North Coast is in a downturn. Hotels bad value for money. I know of russian tourists they went every day dining out because the food in their all inclusive hotel was shite. Legends. At least that exists. Had great times in there. Ricky Mulolo Congolese Band. Kenya will always remain my number one country in Africa. The chicas are magic.

Legends is offered for rent now, but that place has not been maintained well & looks quite shabby now.
Muslims in Mombasa want the Casablanca Club to be demolished (see pics), but it seems the owner is an "untouchable" in Mombasa, has high political connections. He was a classmate of the president. It seems he drives around in a Benz without a plate & no policeman dares to stop him. So it looks like Casablanca will remain open.

Kendas village is located right beside Lambada nightclub on the main Malindi road in Mtwapa. The rooms have been updated and have all got new beds, nets, nice showers, tiled floors and flat screen TV, air con. Price is 2200 per night so very good value.

40 Thieves bar was a daytime stalwart. And that was it bar-wise. A new place called Full Moon opened up near the old Nakumatt. Bar staff seemed friendly but Diani is far less fired up than Mtwapa as it's theoretically for tourists but the huge hotels are empty mausoleums.
I'll be there in a month and will go see a refugee from Nth MBA who is Swahili fluent but broke (Kenya Kimbo) ; he will have an insider take on things.

I'm new here although I have RTFF for sometime now. I would like to share my plans / situation and hopefully get some good advice from you guys as it involves Kenyan chicks and my experience with them is limited.
So let's begin, about 4 months ago I decided to visit Kenya for 10 days in April 2019 and have some fun. I then reactivated my second facebook account and began the hunt. After a couple of days I got in touch with a girl and after a few days of chat we went on to Whatsapp. Then it got really intense (in a good way) and got pics videos etc. Everything was working so well and I came with the idea to bring her to Pattaya as I love Thailand but I have done Thai chicks to the death so I would be where I like and feel at home but with my exotic Kenya girl. She was excited and wanted more or less fix papers and the tickets right away but according to her when she called the embassy they told her to wait and the process to get the visa was just 2 days. I thought it was OK since I wanted to be sure the "relationship" was going to hold, She even had me talk to her dad (nice dude) if it was her dad. But shortly before new year she changed a bit sometimes she was cold and sometimes super romantic and so is the situation today and I'm still in touch with her and the Thailand plan still on at least in her mind. But due to this change, the risk of a no show etc, I decided to resume my Mombasa plan. So I did some more hunting and found 3 more girls who seem willing to meet me in Mombasa one of which is very intense at the moment and with I have engaged in a "relationship". The other two have me still in the friend zone but I'm getting there. My plan is now to not talk about the meeting in Thailand and see when and if she brings it up, that'll give me a clear idea of her intentions. And at the same continue working with the other 3 as back up or plan be, see and the. Also accommodate me in a GF hotell, just in case of total failure still be able to hunt there and bring some to my room. I have done this before (the girlfriend experience) in The Philippines, Colombia, Dominican Republic and Thailand and every time was awesome. My hunting grounds have always been FB and contact sites.
I read recommendations to not engage chicks from FB and instead use Badoo, why? Meet in a place that is busy so if you don't like them you can get up and go without fear of them pinning anything on you or a scene ensuing. All of the sites, be it FB, Afro, Tagged etc can reap some nice rewards but be careful of fake pics or better still see them on cam beforehand and if they say it's dark where they are or that they don't have money for airtime and all the usual crap they come out with then take it as a scam. Maybe some other members know those you're communicating with and could tell you more about what to expect. Whatever you decide is your business and what you give them is also your business, just be careful, have your wits about you and don't leave yourself open to inviting trouble from the locals. Lots of guys have been scammed on here so don't become a similar statistic.

I wouldn't go overboard with them for a couple of reasons. Most of them or should I say 99% of them will be looking for some money at the end of the day, week, month or whatever. Meet up with them first so you see what you're getting, then make up your mind whether you want them or not. Lot's of scammers in Kenya and those I've been with are more or less after what they can get out of you including dick. Just be super aware of where you are and where you go. Meet in a place that is busy so if you don't like them you can get up and go without fear of them pinning anything on you or a scene ensuing. All of the sites, be it FB, Afro, Tagged etc can reap some nice rewards but be careful of fake pics or better still see them on cam beforehand and if they say it's dark where they are or that they don't have money for airtime and all the usual crap they come out with then take it as a scam. Maybe some other members know those you're communicating with and could tell you more about what to expect. I walked down the entire length of Mombasa beach and the main busy area of Jomo Kenyatta Beach today (Sunday), didn't see one girl on Mombasa, there was hardly any people never mind girls to be fair. And Jomo seemed mainly family and friends the usual style but not so much regards to nice girls or even any girls apart from 5 year old kids playing around, lots of guys though if that's anybody's thing. .Yes, Merry Villa is still there operating, getting a bit run down. Children screaming in the swimming pool, right under your window, can be quite noisy.
Another good alternative can be the Jambo Travellers Hotel, not far from the main road, quite safe day & night. You have to negotiate the price if you stay for a longer time.

The problem with places like Mombassa (today) and Nairobi (today) is that it's just a shithole. With little redeeming value. The quality of the girls is low, the quantity is low, it's not particularly easy to get to, and not an enjoyable city when not mongering, that dangers are an omnipresent part of your vacation, risk of diseases is higher than the other spots, attitudes are generally lower, potential for scam higher, and it's a lot more hit or miss. There's no real 'red light district' - there are some 'bars on a beach' which change fairly regularly, some clubs and streets in Mtwapa and the girls will make a circuit. Sure you might be able to chat the girls in advance and arrange meetups from small towns. But that's hardly paradise. Overall it's just a dirty, mean little (spread out) port town, full of constant hassles and not full of hot poon that you can fuck with ease.
What brought me to Africa was hearing tales about ALL the hot girls everywhere, just walking and waiting on the beach. I thought you could just walk to beach, be approached and take back to room throughout the day repeatedly. I just left Mombasa (thank fucking god).
On my trip research (from this board) I was told Mombasa town was too rough to stay in, Nyali was upscale, Mtwapa was the nightlife area and Bamburi was good for the beach and picking up daytime girls. I could walk down to the beach to Pirates and New Big Tree etc and see more girls for hire.
I decided to base myself in Bamburi. Cowrie Shell Beach Hotel. I had visions of sitting in a beach bar and taking multiple girls back to my beach bungalow during the day, then partying in Mtwapa at night.
It was not like this at all. For the sake of preventing some naive future traveler from following in my footsteps:
The train from Nairobi to Mombassa was great. It was like something out of the film Pleasantville, the 'stewardesses' dressed to perfection and welcoming you into the trains. The first class ticket was only $30 usd and everything was immaculate. Long clean hallways, escalators that work, little red platforms that extend to cover the gap. It was other-worldly. I thought I read it was a 4 HR trip. But more like 6. Interesting scenery but the glass was dirty so hard to get good photos.
Pulling into Mombasa I realized I was in a nightmare. Ti takes about 45 min (little traffic) 1:15 (lots of traffic) to get to Bamburi. It's fucking FAR away. People drive like they're on meth (a given), but even slightly worse than in Nairobi. Tons of pollution, dust, and it's frigging hot. Plowing through Mombasa, Nyali and finally Bamburi I was overwhelmed by the ugliness of the city, just this industrial-poverty.
Cowrie was not the nice upscale beach huts I had imagined, although a little pricey it's at the end of a long dirt road and it's basically a concrete cube with small pool in the center. The rooms were large but had constant trouble with aircons not working, doors not opening, keys not working, toilet running etc. Nobody really used the pool during my stay and the they close the gate at 7 om to the beach. So if you're out there you'll have to walk all the way around.
The taxi mafi are insane that sit outside. Asking 600 to go to Bamburi market to change money and get some snacks (used uber instead). No place to buy water / snacks nearby.
There's a restaurant on the beach at Cowrie but not affiliated with the hotel. It serves truly dire food. I thought I'd be safe with cheese pizza one night (and spent the evening throwing up), then tried the fish and chips (1,350) and spent that night throwing up. And I have a cast iron stomach. The rest of the trip I lived off Pringles and tea cookies. Yum.
There are 3 girls that hang out at the restaurant. One is obese and old, one is strung out looking, and one was beyond obese. That's it. I decided to try my luck walking down to Pirates one afternoon / evening. Figured out quickly it's far too far away to walk in any kind of heat (and fuck Mombasa is hot). Two fat 40 year old ladies called me from the shade for massages. I declined.
Pirates was dead. No working girls at all, nor any on the beach. It appeared to be a public part of the beach and there were like several hundred regular families and teenagers there swimming in the most god-awful sea I've ever seen. It was low tide and there were pockets-of-sea amongst an ocean of algae. It looked terrible.
I went to a few more bars near Pirates and had a few beers, they're all open-air so you will sit and sweat. You can watch people take camel rides, and that's about the only interesting thing that will happen.
Nightime went to Mtwapa. By La Post and walked up and down the streets. There were girls out, but they were just awful looking. Rolly-polly fat-burgers. There weren't many either. Round trip ticket plus accommodation is about 1,000 euros. Alltho it doesn't mean I will spend it all.

Thanks in advance.I use sai rock apartments, they have cooking facilities, on bamburi beach so good location as it is between Mtwapa and Nyali. The gym is okay, not western style standard but you can get a good workout if your a regular trainer.

Thanks in advance.If you'e not been to Africa, beware. Colombia is a cake walk and EU is even easier. Mombasa is NOT what you think it is. If you want to go to Africa my suggestion would be to start somewhere far easier than Mombasa. Bamburi beach is an isolated area. You'll be down a long dirt road that you need to take a taxi in and out of to go anywhere. There is no-place around for snacks etc, the hotels are not western standard and the 'dream' of black girls. Well. Probably not what you're thinking of. Mtwapa and Mombasa at large is a shit dirty town and it's a long way to travel for what you think is paradise but is really a kind of hell. Or. Take the plunge and let us know what happened. Personally, with my limited knowledge I would start in somewhere like Addis.

Thanks in advance.I stayed at Ziwa beach resort. Location is good because it is between a couple of big fancy hotels and there is only a short walk from the main road past the entrance to fancy hotel. No going along dangerous dark dirt roads. They have cooking facilities, though they are shared with the occupant of the next door apartment (when I was there it was empty: tourism in Mombasa is not what it used to be). There is a gym next door in Indiana beach apartment hotel which you can use for a reasonable price (it is basic but adequate; like everything in Africa it is not well maintained but OK for a couple of weeks).
You could also stay at Indiana apartment hotel, they have cooking facilities too and no dark dirt road to get there, but I preferred the ambience of Ziwa rooms.
Bamburi is between nyali and mtwapa. There are a couple of supermarkets near in nyali (regular matatus, tuktuks and taxis outside the hotel) and also I believe a gym in the building which contains Sheba lounge (which is near, on the border between bamburi and nyali).
Sheba was quite a fun place, as was the lounge on the ground floor of the same building. I actually picked up a freebie regular girl who had her own car on my first night there, and ended up shagging her for the rest of the holiday, so can't say too much about the girls. I did head to casaurina in mtwapa one night and wasn't impressed: Sheba seemed to have much better lookers.

I actually picked up a freebie regular girl who had her own car.Do you remember what kind of car she had? (I think I know her).
Recently the Coba Cabana Beach area in Mtwapa at the mouth of the Creek has developed into something like the public beach (Kenyatta Beach) in Bamburi.
At first only the Coba Cabana Beach bar was there but now dozens of makeshift bars have sprung up over the full length of the sandy beach with hundreds of chairs placed there, children's playground etc.
Especially in the weekends the place is fully packed. Cars parked everywhere, even though the road to reach there is quite bad.
So there is a lot of competition for the original see see bar and with the prices they charge for the food they will surely feel the competition.
At the rocky end of the beach there is a very picturesque place now, called the "Crab's Den", partly hidden in the caves, with relaxing seats between the rocks & beautiful views over the Creek. & if you are lucky freshly caught fish at an affordable price.

I am new to the forum. I am traveling to Mombasa for the month of October with a mate who has been to Kenya many times, however, his last visit was in 2012. I have never been to Kenya I have lived in Thailand for 8 years and traveled throughout S. E. Asia and South America. We are book to stay at the Voyager Beach Resort and we have an "after hours" 2 bedroom apartment in Mwtapa. Yes, we could have traveled cheaper but I am getting older now and I certain comforts. 1. What are the clubs / bars I should be visiting for day and night mongering?
2. What is the going rate for short-time and long-time?
3. My mate said he wants to rent a motorbike, apparently, in the past, he offers a motorbike taxi driver money for the use of their bike during his stay. I would prefer tuk-tuk to rent for my stay or car, I understand the roads are dirt roads for the most part and not paved which concerns me. Is renting a tuk-tuk or a car possible? Any recommendations of where to rent one and what would be the cost for a month?
4. Any other helpful information that you can share would be greatly appreciated.

.There is an elderly guy renting out off-road style motorbikes in Mtwapa, opposite the supermarket which is next to Posta, near the junction with the main road, where all the Matatus stop.
These bikes are of varying quality, so you have to pick a good one. He is asking 1500 ksh per day (15 $) . Yes it's possible to make a deal with a boda boda driver to rent their bike, if you rent for a long time you should be able to have it for 1000 a day. I once got a good bike when I asked the people at Safari Inn and they called someone.
There is a car rental business not far from the mall which is still called Nakumatt, though that shop is no longer open. It is opposite the gate of some kind of zoo, named Haller Park. There is a club at that same gate, used to be named Black Havana.
They ask for 2500 a day, should be less if you rent for a longer period.
Tuk Tuks are very uncomfortable, especially on the bad roads.

Good apartments full equipped for 450 per month.
The coast still sweet comparing to incredibly chaotic Kampala center.
Tourist police has moved from Posta as Mtwapa in June is more like a ghost town now.
Girls? What girls well, 95% are single Mom forfet a about the stunners from years back that flood the street.
Girls ask more money but very few can be taken for 500 since they have child and no choice.
If you remember the days that every girl can be taken to your room its over. They have high standard now. They will troll on thatsapp unless you offer some crazy price.

A friend of mine just site down eagleNest bar and pick girls for 2000 per night. But beside that its finished.
All girls that came to the coast from all over Kenya stop to come and tourist are not here. Pirate beach is empty. December Christmas should be better I hope.
So the decline has exponential curve not linear over the years. But if you blind to quality and every girl is a candidate no matter how she look then you will get those single Mom.
Over all Kampala was better no comparison. I was in April in mtwapa. I am more a young one and more the adventure typ. I had some good girls there. My best experience was with girls from the internet (tinder) or connections (ask driver). The most ones (like other told) has kids.

- Casaurina: Biggest location. Is always open, but empty till nearly 10 pm. Most girls are hardcore between 20 and 30 years. Friday and Saturday really full, I think 40-70 girls in max. Other days maybe 10-20.
- In the near of Causaurina: On the opposite of the Causaurina are some other places. More for the normal african people. If you are not shy then you could here find some girls. But at the days I travel back, there was a fire. I think now it will take some days till it is open again.
- Mtwapa Street: Not fare away from Casaurina at a bank, there are every night some hardcore Streetwalker. Depends on day between 3 – 8 girls. Similar quality as Casaurina. On the street at eagles nest you can find more "normal" girls at daytime and night. But you have to make the first contact.
- Danka Lounge: High Society location. Full and bike like Casaurina. More normal african people and girls, but girls for fun, too. You must make the first step. I think higher girl prices, too.
Red Other.
- Cheers: There are two days for going to this place for girls (food is there always good). That are the days, when the live band is there. It will starts at 8 pm. I think (not sure) it is Wednesday and Saturday. Then it is full of sexy girls and muzungus. I like this place and in my eyes it has more sexy girls as casuarina. It is not fare away from bamburi beach and at the way to the beach you come to big tree where you could find girls, too.
- Big tree: Daytime location for girls. On the beach and nice place. Not so many girls. Not sure about the day, but Thursday you get two pizzas for the price of one.

- The Moorings: Not so friendly stuff, but a good restaurant for fish and sitting on the mtwapa creek. You must drive with driver to this place.
- La Marina: The best restaurant in Mtwapa. Your driver need a ID for the way to this place. It is more expensive and has friendly stuff and good food. I love this place.
- Yul's: A good Restaurant for Muzungus at the bamburi beach. Nice service, higher prices and good food. Big selection of Ice-Cream, too.
Yellow (Misc).
- Coba Cabbana Beach in Mtwapa: Don't use there the beach chairs. It is a muzungu rip off place. They want there 4 times more of you as from locals. But you could find here many locals on the beach.
- Police Check: Till 9 pm there is a police check on the bridge to mtwapa town from Mombasa. Much traffic and they will check (if you haven't luck) your passport. Take a photocopy of the passport with you.
- Haller Park: Not so special but a Place for visit and make a small safari / zoo tour. You could go in the north of the park with own entrance (opposite of cheers) and take a bicycle for a 7 miles tour around the parc. Good for the sport freaks like me .
- Fort Jesus: Not so cheap, but a good point for sightseeing in Mombasa town at daytime. After this you could visit the big market of Mombasa town.
- Mtwapa Creek Tital Zone: For People like more jungle adventures .
Misc:
- Use Uber, if you travel outside of mtwapa. It is cheap (2-6 Euro). For a ride to Mombasa and back in night use a driver which you know, because not safe trip (price 2000).
- Transport with Motorbike in mtwapa for 50 or 100 depends on distance.
- It is so hot. For me a room with AC was important.
- Transport from Airport Mombasa to Mtwapa for 2500.
- I have never found a gym in mtwapa with AC . Just in the Shoping Mall fare away and really expensive.
- VISA is not a problem. If you want to change money, change it by the money changer by cheers.
- I have some pictures (Hardcore, too) of girls. But sorry, not for public.

Just a few additions;.
Yes, it's true that the original Cobba Cabana Club is a rip off, but fortunately nowadays there are so many other places to sit & have a drink on that stretch of the beach. There is one at the very end, behind the boats laying on the beach, called The Crab's Den, a real hide out with nice places to sit between the rocks.
If the water is low you can walk from the other side of the beach to the Beach Bar, also a nice & very quiet hide out, with the best grilled fish in town at very affordable prices.
You can also get there from the other side, but it's difficult to find the road & the road is very bad.
At the other ens of the scale is the quite expensive Monsoon Restaurant at the Jumba Ruins site, a bit out of town. Some say it's the best restaurant in town, but you have to take some transport to go there. Or you can walk from the beach when the water is low. If you go to this restaurant you don't have to pay for the Ruins park, but you are not allowed to get off from the path.
And oh yes. The second free pizza in Big Tree is on Wednesdays, same in La Follia at Mtwapa Mall on Sundays and 25 % reduction on everything in Safari Inn restaurant at Shanzu beach side on Thursdays.
