if you are coming back to tokyo, you can get some good advise from the board on places to go so that you don't get ripped off. tokyo on the other hand: those place for take out are straight to the point and not ripped you of. which those strictly drink only are the ones that drain your wallet dry. look up some of my posting of tokyo. but now is not the time to visit tokyo because of the crack downs and most of the good place are closed.

Using Viagra is like having premium gas in your tank. Last longer and stay stronger even if you don't have ED. You can feel the effect of Viagra such as a flush face and warm feeling.

I have tried Cialis and it doesn't show up with immediate effects like Viagra. I prefer the V vitamin.

Sorry don't know where to get it in China. Beware of fake ones.

I never tried Viagra or Cialis.
However, on some occasions I tried some pills I bought in a drugstore here.
I was with a Chinese friend and he enquired at the counter.
It was funny as all staff were ladies.

Anyhow, I opted for natural stuff and it had some effect: longer and stronger, same as Bill Lee reported for V.
Actually my friend suggested to buy Chinese Viagra.
He said it is possible to buy local made, with same chemical principle, but I chose natural type.

Sorry but I cannot give a name for that product, as only Chinese language is on the blue box.

I don't know about you guys but I was told by my doctor friend that these sxx herbs and pills are like drugs, once you start, you will relied on them. His advise i s to do regular excerise on your tool (Yah.... do a girl every night!) and you becomes better and better. He also said that if you depend on those drugs, by the time you get to 40's you will find that you cannot do without them.

I don't want relied on drugs. I am 40 now and I still hold to my own record of 26hours continous sxx, max 5 girls at a time. Why? because I excerise almost everyday!

Recently spent a week in China, my first time there, and I thought I'd relate my mongering experiences.

I gleaned a lot of info from the boards here, but unfortunately I was unable to hook up with anyone and that was unfortunate because I have absolutely no Chinese language skills beyond "bing pijo"!

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Shanghai. If you want to pick up some for real Pfizer Vitamin V, turn right out of the lobby and go about two blocks and on the left side of the street you'll see a Pharmacy. They sell Pfizer Viagra in 100mg 1 pill dose boxes for 128RMB. I know, I bought one!

My itinerary called for only a single "night" in Shanghai, and I was obligated to spend a good portion of it on 'mundane' business chores. I'm in not in the sales end of the industry so when I visit places like Shanghai, it's usually to visit fellow employees and they're not the types to take you to KTV's and BBS'! After a nice dinner with a fellow employee I feigned jet lag and went back to the hotel. I did notice a "Foot Massage" place near where we had dinner".

Before leaving for dinner I checked out the hotel's Sauna and it certainly appeared that they offered "special services". The woman there spoke English and I used the words "Full Service". She agreed that FS was part of the pricing. I explained that I had to go to dinner and that I would return later. Upon return I arranged for an 'oil massage' in my room. I went back to my room, downed my Vitamin V, and shortly after that, a cute masseuse rang my doorbell. She came in and proceeded to give me a massage. When during the course of the massage I began to rub her legs, she stopped, and showed me what appeared to be an engagement ring on her finger, even though it wasn't on the proper finger, at least for western cultures. This of course pissed me off as the Vitamin V was kicking in! Well, at least I was going to get a good massage. About 45 min. into the massage she starts rubbing close to my "meat and two veg" and asking if I want to extend the massage. "2 hour, 3 hour massagee, very special massagee!" You can guess that there was no way in hell that I was going to throw more money toward this one! Although it will help me last longer, there's been time I have released within minutes of putting the old wanker in the oven.

Let me explain. It's all in the mind. While on V, I have lasted as long as an hour and as short as five minutes. If my mind is set on coming, I will come. But if I'm with my girlfriend, I can make it last as long as I can.

Quite may BBS on wuzhong lu going from outer loop towards inner loop. Never managed to find the village but the gals in those BBS on wuzhong were all looking very good.

Sometimes life is really strange...

I think I found the village today. A very interesting area. You can't miss the big white entrance gateway, when driving west on wuzhong lu after crossing the outer loop. There are many many shops in the whole area, not only on Hang Zhong Lu.

Try the JinJiang hotel near the airport. it will be around 230RMB/night. I think the URL is jj-inn.com but I am not sure.

near to airport you can take taxi on the highway to Shanghai to the first exit past the exit to LongDong Road. Take this road, ChuangSha? and look for BBS. I passed there several nights ago around 11PM and I saw several pink lights. You should be able to take out to your hotel.

I think the taxi from airport to Chuangsha area was around 25RMB.

Out of curiosity, I went back to the place yesterday afternoon and requested the 3some package you had the other day.

Mind blowing experience by Chinese Standard. Of course it still fell pretty short when comparing with BKK's Eden but hey, it's one of the best 3 some I had in China (the other time in DongGuan). This is the only second time during my 12 years here in China that when doing 3somes(PNP wise), the girls are actually interacting. Lot's of kisses, caressings and lickings between the girls.

IMHO, my suggestion to guys who wants to visit the place:

I am just over 50 and take the pills when I intend to have multiple pops in a single evening. Having said that, I do get harder on the pills. Problem for me with V is that I cannot turn it off either. It gives me a headache and flashes sometimes too. Cialis is less intense and lasts me for 2-3 days.

Made my first trip to ZY tonight. It was just as others have stated. There is a small bar at the front, a sort of family room behind where the girls and their friends hang out, and a room to the side with little cubicles.

Just arrived back in Shanghai. I'm staying here for one month, will be studying Mandarin at Fudan University. For my first night in town, a friend took me out for dinner. I agree with David on this. To mix is great, but realize that even back in the States, mixed kids sometimes get animosity, and flat out racism is very real. I'm not trying to pick a fight here, but I think I totally *agree* with your post. So I'm trying to figure out what part of my post you disagree with. I'm not putting down mixed race, or saying anything negative about it. On the contrary, I have a mixed race son and could not be more proud of him. He is handsome, smart, and the girls love him (though at this stage he still hates girls...). In my part of the country he is accepted. There are parts of the country, and indeed there are schools in my own city, where he would have some issues, though in my state these would probably be minor.

I agree with you there are areas of the world where he would be more or less accepted.

My only point on the mixed race offspring issue is that it can create issues for the child, depending upon a lot of external factors. It can also create advantages. In my son's case, I think he'll be fighting off the women. I'm merely suggesting that the orignal poster consider it - not avoid it.

However, that was only a tiny part of my post. I think the larger issue I was addressing was the reality of marrying a woman from a different culture. My counsel to the original poster was to look beyond the stereotype of the Asian woman and understand the totality of the individual woman and her own culture (which includes relations with her family). That is, in my opinion, good advice for any marriage, but particularly important when marrying across cultures (any culture, not just Asian).

With all that said, I don't regret my cross cultural marriage a bit. It has been a continuing adventure.

I know this is a bit of a long shot but you never know unless you ask. I'm up at Fudan University. Since I'm staying in the dormitory, I can't bring girls back here. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what mongering places might be found nearby, if any.

So far I have noted two "special" barber shops within a few blocks. (And by the way, what's the protocol for these places? What's the going rate for a somewhat out-of-the-way part of town?)

for those who are old timers, the “bourbon street” bar is almost certainly well know, but for new timers i felt a quick run down of this establishment would be useful. the bar resides in one of the common bar districts in shanghai, on hengshan road close to hengshan rd underground railway station. the exact address is 191 hengshan road, 86 21 6467 823. if you are traveling from the centre of town its on your left and can't be missed if you keep your eye's peeled. you can also get their using the underground.

for those not familiar with hengshan road, it has a large number of bars on the mail street with the more shady places located on various side streets. based on the time of year, if you walk down this street you will be propositioned many times and invited to special lady bars off the beaten track. i tend to never take up the invitation, but i normally ask for the card to check it up later. in beijing this type of invite normally leads to massive rip offs, i am assuming the same occurs in shanghai.
back to bourbon street, its a very european building, with 3 floors of bars and tables. on the ground floor you will see a dance area in the centre, behind which is an area for a band. typically the girls at the entrance will point you to an area to sit, if you are early they will point you to the main bar. if its crowded you may be asked to go upstairs. i prefer the ground floor. there is a 50rm entry fee on weekends, which can be traded in for a drink. i use to remember week nights are free, but as that was last year i can't be certain this is the case any more.

for bar basic's, the beers are reasonably priced, the music is good and later in the evening the dance floor is always filled. i have never tried the food so can't comment on this. if you get there early, any time between 7:30-8:30 the bar staff will outnumber the patrons, but by 10pm its quiet crowded.

now for the women, the first time i frequented this bar, (may 2004) i was approached by standard bar girls, who asked for money in exchange for company. as i don't think they were employed by the bar, this normally means they are available for sexual activity if required, but as i was in the bar with a rather nervous german guy who had no experience of asia i never verified this assumption. since that one time i have been in this bar about a dozen times and have never been approached again, so i suspect this was an unusual occurrence. (perhaps business was slow elsewhere at the time). apart from this the only time i have identified interested women was typically late in the evening, you will typically find a number of women sitting on high chairs at the main bar on the ground level and it takes little effort to start talking to them. some are willing some are not, so the issue i have is lack of certainty. my impression is this is not a great place to get a women, but it is possible. on the other hand i have read in this post that its easy to find a nice lady to engage in various activities which involve bodily fluid exchange in this bar, so perhaps i am not using the correct signals or hanging around the correct location in the bar. i suspect further investigation is required.

I was going back to see 578 yesterday to go for another round - and there was another 758. I actually never experienced before that the same number is carried by adifferent girl.

For those not familiar with Hooter (and I must admit I was originally not, my first hooters experience was in Taipei and I always thought the name had something to do with hula hoops. Anyway, that's my story to my wife and Iam sticking to it), its a US buffalo wings and burger joint, which has a sports theme and employs scantily clad women to serve you. I have never been to a hooters in the US, but my experiences in Asia is the girls tend to talk and flirt with the customers, probably hoping for a tip.

galaxy hotel: this hotel has 2 ktv establishments in it. the first is a north korean ktv, where there is no english spoken and the clients are mainly korean with some chinese. however, as i have korean friends which like to be able to speak in their native language i have it in my records. so far i have not frequented this ktv, only leaving my korean friends out the front while i then go to the 2nd ktv in this hotel, the club de eagle. the korean ktv is called han shi hua and is on the 3rd floor in the hotel. just go up the stairs or escalators 2 levels up from where the taxi's drop you off.

the main point of this post is to provide an overview of club de eagle. i have fond memories of this ktv and have previously always gone with local chinese friends. this establishment consists of a bar with a dance floor just behind. there are a number of comfortable chairs rep001tered to each side. behind the bar are ktv rooms. the price is acceptable, being about 600rm for a room for 2, and the girls normally require 300rm-600rm each. as the last time i used the rooms was about 18months ago, the price may have gone up, so beware. i found the girls reasonably attractive, but with very poor english. they can be frisky sometimes and like to take you pants off at ever opportunity, which can be ok sometimes but annoying if you don;t want your male friends to see your boxer shorts (and other things). they can go back to your hotel if required, although i am not sure if there is an additional charge for this. i also am not certain of the price, as i have never taken up this service (my chinese friends are my business companions, so i always make it a point of giving them the impression i am not a typical sex-mad degenerate boo-how laowai). so, if you go with someone who speaks mandarin and you take a ktv room the experience is acceptable.

the last time i went to this establishment, i went by myself and found the experience less than satisfactory. the girl provided spoke english, but was not very friendly. i assumed she was available to take back, but the poor service annoyed me so much i was not interested. the cost was not low, about rm400 for the girl and rm400 for the mama-son, which was certainly a rip off. i was not in the mood to argue. the lesson learned here is that some places will attempt to rip off laowai's if the details of the costs and services are not clearly spelt out before hand. if anyone has had a better experience, or has any additional information about this place please let me know. i did enjoy going there when i had a mandarin speaking companion – but i often don;t have this luxury. anyway, my next favourite ktv is in the rainbow hotel, (which closed down last year to be remodelled) has reopened as jj maloney. so i am looking forward to trying this place out and reporting on it. its next door to the galaxy hotel.

About 18 months ago the KTV in the Rainbow Hotel closed, this was called Casablanca. I spent many enjoyable evenings in this establishment and I found it a good source of eager and friendly women. The best thing about this place was choice. Once you entered Casablanca's you would normally find yourself being stared at by 50 of so friendly and eager women. The first time this occurred to me it was rather scary, sort of like a chicken entering a fox den, but I have got over that rather foolish fear. Anyway I will not go into any extra details as this place closed down about 18 months to be remodelled. The result was JJ Maloney, on the 30th floor of the Rainbow Hotel.

When I found out the name I was a bit puzzled, JJ Maloney's is normally the name of the disco's you will find in the Grand Hyatt in various locations around the world, such as HK (this has closed) Seoul (still going strong) and Taipei (also going strong). While you can pick up free-lancers at JJ's in Taipei and Seoul, its not as automatic as the original Casablanca KTV I was use to. Also the Rainbow Hotel was not the Grand Hyatt, so i was reticent to spend any time their. The only thing which made me visit this place was the magic KTV next to the name of the disco. I was not to be disappointed.

The location is Rainbow Hotel, next door to Galaxy Hotel and across the motor way from the Sheraton. JJ's is on Lv 30. When you enter you will see a bar with high stool seating, to your right will be a band, dance area and a number of comfy lounges. I went for the comfy lounges. Once you are seated it will not take long for the moma-san and some lovely young thing to appear. Unfortunately you don't get much choice if you do not intend to take a KTV room, as the choice in the general area was minimal. On the upside, all the women were gorgeous. I always noticed the old Casablanca had a lot of northern Chinese women in it, these lady's are normally very tall, which i like. This still applied to JJ's and the women were not only tall. They were also very attractive. I ended up with an average JJ's women, who i considered very nice, sexy and rather frisky.

The costs are RM300 for a lady to be your companion, either in a KTV room or out in the general disco area. The mama-san takes a cut, I gave her RM200, which may have been excessive but is the typical rate in places like Singapore. If you want a room the costs for a small room, which can seat 8, costs about RM800. This includes beer and wine. If you want whisky add another RM900, so the KTV experience is not as cheap as Casablanca's, but shared out among 4 not a bad price. The take out list costs are US$200 for the night, but I am sure this can be negotiated as it seems a bit high to me (although the women are a real knock-outs). For those who know Beijing, this is sort of like a smaller and cheaper Passion Bar, which specialised in high-cost, good looking women.

As for language, there is a good supply of English and Korean speaking girls, a few Japanese speaking and of course all speak mandarin and their local dialect. The beer costs are OK for this type of bar, the drinks for the girls seem to be rather expensive. (Example : beer plus a lady drink = RM120, so be careful.) The only complaint i had was the seating in the main area consisted of single chairs, so you could not get close to your girl, but I think that was to convince the punters to take a KTV room or simply take the girl out. I am not sure if there is a bar-fine, but assume you needed to provide something to the moma-san if you had not already paid for a KTV room.

If you are at a hotel have the consierge or reception write the address out for you in chinese characters, then hand that to a taxi driver (and have a hotel card with you for the return trip).

Last time I was in SH, I was staying near the Hilton (Equatorial Hotel). It takes about 15 minutes by taxi from that area.

a quick run down of the speedwell and the blue angel bars. both establishments are owned by the same person, with the blue angel being the replacement of the old speedwell ii, previously located in maoming lu. which i am told occurred about 9 months ago.

verified that the two bars belong to the same lady owner catherina, a busty lady who has set her bar to rip off unknowing customer if you get drunk!

both bars operate the same way. fully verified that whatever sm said are true. however below are some additions:

1) there are free lancers in both bars occassionally. you just have just have to spot them. i had taken a few out on some occassions.

2) there are three type of "companions" i) those in uniforms : they are regular paid waitress; you can touch and hug them as you talk and buy them drinks. but no take outs, they work from 6-8pm to next morning. if you want any of these girls to sleep with you you better have time, money and turn on your charms; i had some success stories. ii) those not in uniform; they are perfect companions, play pool, dice games, (they will get you to buy lots of drink if you lose! - read my previous postings) same here; if you want any of these girls to sleep with you you better have time and money but on the charms part ....may be not that much, these type are smarter, obviously they had been cheated my some 'boyfriends' or whoever before so they knew who are mongers.they also work from 6-8pm to next morning so if you want some private arrangement you got to wait till they are off work the next morning. iii) free lancer, these are part time companion that get paid only on the drinks. they are the ones that will ripped you off! however i had some occassions where some of these fl approach me to take them home for a price. between 800 to 1500 for the night. they can get off work anytime because they make commission from the drinks only.

3) the lady boss; she is a killer lady! big busts, work out in th gym i think... she set out to tell the lady to rip certain guest off making them spend as much as 5000 to 8000 buying drinks though the night. so you guys be careful!

4) blue angels with three levels; ground floor has a live band, nice loud music. but can hardly talk to the girls. second level pool tables nice place to have chats with the girls. third level quiet private bars with curtains sofa, i was told this is an vip floor where guest buy drinks by the bottle. i got to know the bartender on third floor and obviously he have lot of nice recommendations for places to pick ups girls.

5) if you guys prefer a nice evening with companions these two bars are nce places but watch out on the drink you buy them! you ended up spending lots of money if you don't.

6) but if you want to monger around and pick up some girls for the night.... tong ren lu has a lot of sws. and the manhattan bar on the same road has lots of pick girls.

While i have been coming to shanghai for the last 8 years, i spend most of my time in Beijing and rarely spend more than a few week days in shanghai per trip - thus am not too familiar with the bar activity level based on the day of the week. Thus i was rather surprised to see that sunday evening in MaoMing and TongRen seemed rather quiet. (From 10pm to midnight)

While business drops on Sunday in Beijing - this normally means you get a better selection of girls if you go out - it seems in shanghai most of the normal girls don't work sunday - thus your selection is rather poor.

Question for the long timers - is this correct, or did i pick a bummer sunday. If this is true i will stick with the KTVs on sunday and do the bars on friday/saturday, where I found the selection and quality excellent.

I also found that if you walk along the street along the Ritz Carlton portman hotel you get lots of guys giving you cards advertising massage parlour (felt a bit like vegas!). Do you know if these are a rip off, or are they something which is worth while following up.

What a great start into my vacations! Checked into my nice room in the Rui Jin Guesthouse in the French Concession quarter at noon, took a small nap and left in the evening for dinner and some strolling around.

Went there last week. No trouble finding it in a taxi. A well-lit door, with the 3125 number displayed above it, to the side. Close to the Honqiao Airport and Honqiao Golf Club, as stated before.

Nice surroundings. After shower and pyjamas, I was directed to a relax room, were drinks and fresh fruit were served right away. Some minutes later, a lady who spoke little english showed me to a room, where a lady was in wait. She seemed to be the only one available. I didn't notice any number, though. Se was a 7 in my particular scale. Nice rack, and buttocks.

That lady was wild!!: Deep french kissing from the start, ice / fire bbbj, she licked all my body, plus yes, ass rimming. A decent f**k afterwards.

Total damage was RMB 700.

The place was nice and extremely clean, way less congested than the one close to the Conch Hai Luo Hotel, 1281 Zhong Shan Xi Road, that gets so much attention from fellow Boardmembers.

I am actually staying in Shanghai right now but never mongered here before. I usually do my playing in Thailand, Indonesia and Macau where the sex scene is very established. I have heard some horror stories about ripoffs and such in China. However, I would like to start playing here instead of having to go to Macau every time. Also, I've basically had to beat them back at Bourbon Street. If they come to your hotel with you, don't give them the money up front, and be sure to negotiate a decent rate before you get to the room. If they don't comply, just kick them out, then go find another.

Or, enjoy a nice sauna at one of the ones mentioned here. You won't get ripped off, and you'll have a very nice time.

Skyline Sauna,

Hop on to the cab, tell them "tian mu xi lu( means tian mu west road), Chang An lu ( Means chang an road). Get off at the intersection. Look for big board sign " BW" = Blue and white fast food restaurent) next to it will be skyline sauna, go towards the back of the resturent and enter the buliding, take the lift up to (I think it is on the 8 or 7th floor.)

So you do not know what the previous 179 customers are carrying with them..... you want to risk it?

Thanks for the advice people have sent in. I decided to give the saunas a try. Went to Da Ta Yu Jing. As most people have posted, it is a great place. The girls can do things with a red cloth and a metal bar that I have never seen anywhere else. The double size massage bed is another plus. However, the vertical 69 seems a little over the top. It makes me feel as if they are trying too hard. Non-sex service is outstanding (attendants on standby to bring you everything you need and even dry off your glasses after you finish showering). The mamasan, a Miss Au, was really friendly. I definitely will go there again, even with the distance from my place. The total charge was 650. They said I am getting the discount price so I guess regular price is 700. I think a large extent is because I can speak Mandarin fluently and they are convinced I will be a repeat customer.

As for Skyline, I have to give it a thumbs down. Attendants look bored and not very enthusiastic about their jobs. They even try to rush me after the initial shower into the VIP rooms without letting me soak in the hot water pool. After I settled in the room, the mamasan came by. She was not as friendly as the one in Da Tang Yu Jing. In the room, the girl was really cute and friendly. Here is where I made a big mistake. I forgot to look up Skyline in previous posts and just assumed they offer FS. The girl was blowing me for over half an hour and I was wondering when I get to bang her. Finally asked her and she told me they only do BJ. Uh-oh. That's bad for me because I have never been able to come from BJ or HJ, no matter how skilled. I haven't been to the Vista for a couple of months (I'm living in another cinese city) but last time I was quoted 880 RMB, so i think there some room of negotiation from the 1000 you were quoted.

I found that single digit numebrs are allocated to better girls.

I personally like #6 and #9 having received trully GFE and one of the two gave me her phone number for private call.

If the girl you get is not of your taste you have the rite to change her so i dont think is a big problem.

BTW the foot masage girls give great HJ in the little rooms behind the TV lounge. A must try!

JingAn hotel is near Tong Ren Lu, lots of action there. Happy Garden Sauna is on TOng Ren Lu. Also near by is JingAn Plaza, you can find the Bar "Windows" you will be able to pick up freebies there too!

JingAn is center of Shanghai City so no problem getting to Hot spots.

A friend of mine used to stay at Jing An and it was girl-friendly.

Also, it is in an excellent location.
Just around the corner in Hanshan Lu you will find some street action.
Julu Lu with a lot of bars (beware of rip-offs) is almost opposite Huashan crossing Hanshan.
You are 10 mins. walking from Tongren Lu where a lot of popular bars and saunas are located. Just take Hanshan north, then Yanan Lu east, then turn north at the second street and you are there.

In addition, you are not too far from Xin Tian Di, which is another popular spot you may have heard about.

BBS are almost everywhere (many along Changle Lu).

Went back to the sauna on the 3rd floor tonight. Hi,

I will be arriving into Shanghai on Monday afternoon of next week for a 6 week trip. Although I have travelled all over SE Asia (Thailand RULES!) and all over the world (38 countries now) this will be my first trip to China.

I have no set agenda and armed with my Lonely Planet guide I will make my way to some of the major cities and sights with hopefully ample time to monger along the way. I do not speak the language so I expect it will be an adventure to get around and arrange transportation, but at least my body language with the ladies has been well refined in other parts of Asia. :) I am not so budget constrained but tend to favor guest house type accommodations where I can meet other single travellers and as long as I can get a private room and they are secure.

Does anyone have any reccommendations for places to stay in Shanghai (hopefully I can reserve a place at this late notice during Summer)? I have done some searches and read back 4 weeks or so. The Rui Jin Guesthouse sounds like a good place, but if there are any that are better and cheaper I would appreciated the recommendations (they quote US$50 + 10% service a night).

Also, I notice a lot of talk about bars, saunas and action around Jing An, but is that the best locale to stay near, or is Huangpu or French Concession any better?

Is anyone looking to grab some drinks and find some action there next week? I plan to stay 4-5 days before I move North.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am about to book a stay at the Jing Tai Hotel at 178 Tai Xing Road, near Nanjing rd.

I just want to make sure it is okay to bring women back to the rooms there to avoid any potential hassles or situations.

Also, how difficult is it to get accommodations there in Shanghai at this time without paying a forture? Should I book all 4 nights up front (and lock in a lower rate by STA travel), or book 2 nights then leave my options open (and pray I can find something of better value / location)?

I have marked a couple of infamous spots for those who are interested:
1. Strip BBS

First identified by SH Captain and others, this is a row of 10 or so good quality 150 RMB FS BBS in Minhang accessible by subway / short taxi. (Actually the map is a little out of date, and does not show the extension to Luoxiu Road , the road leading from Lianhua Subway station, which you just follow round to get to the Strip.

2. The Village BBS

20 or so quality BBS (150 RBM FS) located in a car service area near honqiao airport.

To find these spots, here's what you do.

1. Access: http://home.wangjianshuo.com/scripts/map/

2. Find search function on right hand side

4. Search on "Village BBS" or "Strip BBS" to find desired location.

Non-Chinese speakers could probably just print out the relevant map section, and show it to a taxi driver.

I can say that the last time I was in SH, 3 weeks ago, I saw no changes to the lobby security in the Hilton. Guests still walk through what seems like a gauntlet of door folks, entering the outer door observed by a hotel staffer, walking left, turning right, entering the inner door, observed by another hotel staffer.

I prefer the more casual Equatorial entrance myself.

But an easy thing to do is see if one of the nearby SWs will go in with you. That will answer you question in a jiffy!

funny, i never had to pay any cover for bourbon street on any day. the companions are pretty butt ugly on ground level. if you really want action remember to visit level 3. i go there for the excellent 10-piece live band but i think they moved on. lots have changed in bs. plus now is the anti-vice's most active season as oct 1st is around the corner.

for those who are old timers, the “bourbon street” bar is almost certainly well know, but for new timers i felt a quick run down of this establishment would be useful. the bar resides in one of the common bar districts in shanghai, on hengshan road close to hengshan rd underground railway station. the exact address is 191 hengshan road, 86 21 6467 823. if you are traveling from the centre of town its on your left and can't be missed if you keep your eye's peeled. you can also get their using the underground.

for those not familiar with hengshan road, it has a large number of bars on the mail street with the more shady places located on various side streets. based on the time of year, if you walk down this street you will be propositioned many times and invited to special lady bars off the beaten track. i tend to never take up the invitation, but i normally ask for the card to check it up later. in beijing this type of invite normally leads to massive rip offs, i am assuming the same occurs in shanghai.
back to bourbon street, its a very european building, with 3 floors of bars and tables. on the ground floor you will see a dance area in the centre, behind which is an area for a band. typically the girls at the entrance will point you to an area to sit, if you are early they will point you to the main bar. if its crowded you may be asked to go upstairs. i prefer the ground floor. there is a 50rm entry fee on weekends, which can be traded in for a drink. i use to remember week nights are free, but as that was last year i can't be certain this is the case any more.

for bar basic's, the beers are reasonably priced, the music is good and later in the evening the dance floor is always filled. i have never tried the food so can't comment on this. if you get there early, any time between 7:30-8:30 the bar staff will outnumber the patrons, but by 10pm its quiet crowded.

now for the women, the first time i frequented this bar, (may 2004) i was approached by standard bar girls, who asked for money in exchange for company. as i don't think they were employed by the bar, this normally means they are available for sexual activity if required, but as i was in the bar with a rather nervous german guy who had no experience of asia i never verified this assumption. since that one time i have been in this bar about a dozen times and have never been approached again, so i suspect this was an unusual occurrence. (perhaps business was slow elsewhere at the time). apart from this the only time i have identified interested women was typically late in the evening, you will typically find a number of women sitting on high chairs at the main bar on the ground level and it takes little effort to start talking to them. some are willing some are not, so the issue i have is lack of certainty. my impression is this is not a great place to get a women, but it is possible. on the other hand i have read in this post that its easy to find a nice lady to engage in various activities which involve bodily fluid exchange in this bar, so perhaps i am not using the correct signals or hanging around the correct location in the bar. i suspect further investigation is required.

Yes, your hotel is quite central.
I do not know if there is activity inside your hotel and it is girl-friendly.
However, you are just a few minutes of taxi from Tongren Lu or Hanshan Lu or Julu Lu.
Also, you are not to far from ZY Pub, 1771 Xin Zha Lu, where you can experience very passionate girls.

Regarding the Hilton, I am staying there right now. Just returned to the hotel around 1:30 AM and there was a very stern looking guard positioned in front of the elevator bank. My assumption is that if I had a companion with me, he would have given us trouble.

Regarding the massage place behind the Hilton, I walked over there this afternoon and as I got closer, noticed in small print that it's a "blind man" massage place. If they offer extras there, I don't want to know! Have not checked out the place across the street.

I have stayed in a wide variety of 5 stars in Shanghai - Four Seasons, JW Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Westin, etc. The Hilton is easily the worst of them - the smallest bathroom, the least comfortable bed. The only possible advantage is the proximity to both Julu Lu and Tongren Lu.

Tonight I went to City Sauna. I'd been there a year ago and was quite happy with the service. Beautiful place, well appointed. But last year I got full service, this year (for the same price) only a hand job. Not sure if their policy has somehow changed, if it's a case of YMMV with the girls, or that last time I was there with a Mandarin speaking friend, this time I was there alone (and I speak some Mandarin but am pretty far from fluent).

I have never had a problem bringing a girl back to the Four Seasons. And I've noticed some real stunners working the bar at the Westin, though I haven't tried them and am presuming they are going for top dollar.

First identified by SH Captain and others, this is a row of 10 or so good quality 150 RMB FS BBS in Minhang accessible by subway / short taxi. (Actually the map is a little out of date, and does not show the extension to Luoxiu Road , the road leading from Lianhua Subway station, which you just follow round to get to the Strip.

2. The Village BBS

Lianhua Factory BBS

Most people can find the Factory BBS on the north side of the Lianhua station by the Carrefour and Homart. But its a bit dirty.

A much clearner place with same girls is on the south side of the station at the junction of Luoxiu Road. The place is in a modern apartment building just 50 yards past Luoxiu Road is you are walking away from the station. Previously recommended by the Captain.

I have marked it on the Chinese map, which you can find according to my previous post. Go to the search function and search on "Lianhua Factory BBS", and you will see the spot.

Day 2

Will be visiting Shanghai on September 16 for two nights and was hoping to get some advice.

The BBS at Haifang Lu between Shaanxi Bei Lu and Xikang Lu in the north of Jiang An district are still pretty good.

The place I know best is the first BBS on the right as you walk West on Haifang Lu from Shaanxi Bei Lu. About 8 to 10 girls are visible in a tiny cramped space. Azil: Yes, it was a spelling mistake. Jingan is how you spell it.

Take a cab to Jiangning Lu (runs north south) and Haifang Lu (runs east west). Get off the cab and walk one block west on Haifang Lu and you'll reach Hangfang Lu and Shanxi Lu. I've never been to this area before, but I can read the map. :-p

Report your findings when you get a chance... if it's any good, maybe I'll hit it up. I usually prefer saunas or ktvs as I find bbs girls kind of low quality. I'm afraid of hairy armpits and untrimmed pussies.

Continueing my discovery at Pacific Hotel,

What follows is always a really nice girlfriend style encounter including dinner, drinks, a little sightseeing and lots of fun sex. They have no reason to lie and I have discovered that most of them work for just a few weeks, to pay off a credit card or college fees, then happily go back to being normal students or office workers. Last time I was in Shanghai (early last week), I was in the "first customer" situation with a lovely girl who had never had sex with a Western man before. She was freshly shaved, because a friend had told her that we prefer that (a nice surprise for me) and everything she knew about sex was from watching some porn DVDs the night before I saw her. It was a fun experience for me because she was keen to try everything and every position she had seen in the movies!

Please be nice to these ladies. I have never met a shark or clingy girlfriend type. They have all been charming, fun and very dedicated to giving pleasure. They ask nothing in return except a few dollars to enhance their own lifestyles and they deserve our respect.

On my second night after work I enter the Hotel (on Hang Sheng road) elevator to find in there two rather scantly dressed girls. I try to chit chat and offer her a drink (beer). We decide not to drink because the beer in the mini bar is rather warm. Ok let’s get to business then. After some lightly petting she says she will stay if I give her money. O what a surprise. Because she does not want to tell me how much I offer her zero, nada, nill (only not to offend her of course). Now the bargaining begins. She starts with a 1000 which I think is ridicules. And I offer 400. She seems upset and makes moves to leave but not really. I think she likes me to much. Next offer from her 800 but I tell her that if I cannot see the goods I will make no further offers. Beside, she does not have any condoms. She also seems to be rather strict on 800 which I will not pay for her. At least not tonight.

In the elevator these two did not look so great but now I see that this one has a real nice (tall) slim body. Negations however are impossible because of the language barrier.

The phone rings and her friend want’s to speak to her. I tell her that she better come over to translate. This she does and the door bell rings again. Now let’s see if we can get a bit of volume discount and a bit more fun. Her friend translates her my idea of 3 play and the negotiations start from the beginning.
