It is time for me to contribute some of my explorations. I have been to SH since 2 months ago and I had tried out a pub at Ao Men Lu, 2 of the pubs at Thong Ren Lu and a KTV at Kai Xuan Lu. Here my FR about SH goes, I have visited a so called pub located at AML which is actually a fuck shop that we only need to pick a girl once we get into the shop. Nothing special as there were only about 5-6 girls when I was there; well, a stupid question I have asked when I was there, 'Could I sing songs at this pub?' as the set up at the front counter was like a lounge! The girl I have picked was very young, she is only 19. I was directed to a room at upstair and from the way the girl massage me, I was hinted by it. Overall, the girl quality was on the average side as those girls who work in this outlet are very young. You could find it easily as this is the only so called pub at that road. BTW, it is at Pu Tuo district. Cost=RMB250

OK, here is about a famous KTV which last time there is a KTV called 'Wan Zhi Qian Hong' at Kai Xuan Lu, but now taken over by Armani group and now call Armani 4. I don't really know about the actual scene in SH but when I was in my home country, those KTV girls are very friendly and full of fun. Later part, I have noticed that the tip they ask for is very low but this is SH where the heart of China is so why don't they get themselves improved on the service side. I did not sound it out as I am a KTV maniac when I was in my home country so I called 6 girls that night which only cost me about RMB2000 for their tips and it is cheap if compared with my home country. Till late night, I only get 2 most beautiful girls inside the room and I did not touched them so much because I know it is the same everywhere in the world as KTV girls will not have a very good impression about cheongster like us if we just simply touch them. After that, I managed to get their contacts as invited a girl to my apartment once after the session and another one after few days. The total cost is about RMB4000 for that night including tip for mamasan and shaoye.

SH is a nice place to enjoy as everyone will show welcome to every cheongster from everywhere of the world. There are several types of cheonging activities and we just need to choose which is our preference. cheers~

The BBS is just between Jiang Ning Lu and Ao Men Lu, if you are at Chang Hwah Lu then you gotta look for 'Zhong Foo', I think the full name is 'Zhong Guo Foo Li Cai Piao' or something like that. It is not difficult to find if you know about the famous 'Dong Fang Lou Ma'.

How lucky I was! I never know about that and I always mongering alone. No wonder they were so friendly and provided good service when I was there. I couldn't really remember about the name of the pub, it should be Blue Angels I think.

I have looked at the forum, I have tried the search function and I only found one post about hotel Holiday Inn downtown. Just because someone asks a question doesn't mean they have not looked. Good that you find out. Member on the board are pretty angry with newbies that just ask questions and not contribute especially those who just post the same questions multiple times. A lot of members spent a lot of time writting good information on the board. That's why they are annoyed when people do not read them and just treat this board like the helpdesk or FAQ.

The right way is to read the post and if you have further questions, you would PM the person that wrote the particular report and not jammed up the space on the board.

The Merrylin has a FS sauna on the 3rd Floor. The cost is RMB680, and they are very discreet. Just show up, check in your clothes, shower and the girl will be waiting for you inside.

On the ground floor in the back of the Merrylin is another sign for body massage. Here, the girls will go with you up to your hotel room. Or, from the Merrylin hotel room upstairs, you can call downstairs and arrange to have a girl to come up to your room. Unfortunately, I don't know what the price is. I'm a regular to all 4 BBSes in suburbs of Lianhua Lu/Luo Jin Lu, south of Shanghai. I would say after trying many others BBses in the city centre (Jingan district), this is the most thrifty way to unload millions of sperm we produced each day. For basic massage + HJ only cost RMB50. Actual cameras or just camera housings? Next time I'm on Tong Ren I'll have to take a closer look. Unfortunately any overt inspection of these cameras would lead to exactly the sort of attention an otherwise law-abiding monger would want to avoid.

I'm certain the authorities would find the idea of me on a ladder inspecting the inside of the perspex housing up close and personal while wearing a Chairman Mao mask not the slightest bit amusing.

Been away for awhile, just got back and I'm here to stay. Seems like lots have changed since I've been away (from red ropes to japanese style bathing houses, members changing names, cameras on the look out, and the forming of a gang headed by AG!). Gotta love shanghai.

Back to posting, I had meeting in Xinzuang the other day. Decided to take the subway to Lianhua Rd station, to a bbs that I went to before and was posted several times a long time ago. It's located across the street from the subway station, between the shopping mall and Home Mart. Anyways, the girls didn't look to appealing, so went on a venture. Keep walking down that same alley until you reach the next street. Make a left and walk down until the next street ahead (right before the little bridge). Turn right into that street and there are 3 BBS. The first one has about 10 girls, 3 of them were pretty 8+. There are individual rooms with small bed and lock on the doors. 150rmb for bbbj & fs. Shanghai surprise,
Visited Shanghai expecting to see a developing Chinese City, I was blown away by the commercialization. Shanghai is Disney world meets Las Vegas swirled with Hong Kong and New York. Big city prices and strangled by Starbucks and chain stores from around the globe. It was difficult for us to find normal Chinese food (Shanghai style) except for visiting the large hotels. Western foods abound, no shortage of Mexican, American, Italian and Continental cuisines. One highlight here was a place named "239" location is 239 Shimen Yi Lu near Weihai Lu. We met the executive chef and he made the visit to PVG delightful. The food is infused from Chinese ingredients into a continental blend. They also offer a wine tasting night that was full of Xpat and local business women. Oh yes the women!
Well, did not get to hit the payfor scene however; we were all over the “semi pros” (buy me drinks and dinner and I will act like I am not a working girl). Visited Zapata’s, Bourbon Street, and a few others. Must have been slow nights, lots of guys few choices? Decided on hitting night clubs NYC, HKG, LHR style, went to Mint 333 Tong Ren rd. It was doing well and had a solid ratio. Went to a grand opening party at the Spot 331 Tong Ren, It was good for the first hour then turned into a sausage fest. Hit the Wynn Win club Level 5 @ plaza 66, nice lay out but too young for me. The clubs on the Bund are nice. However, we hit Attica 11F, 15 Zhongshan Dong Er Lu. Located on the Bund with 2 rooftop terraces offering some of the best views in Shanghai, Attica is set to become the new party playground of Shanghai. We all pulled Xpats from here. I had to take one for the team. Hooked up with a girl from Germany on her last night in town (at least that is what she told me). My friends pulled model types and I had their friend Helga. However, the morning report from them was sour. Mine, went like losing a heavyweight fight in the last round on a decision. Got fucked and lots of bruises!
Almost forgot! While drinking coffee on Najing rd Lots of girls walking up and making offers. My friend did partake with a nice looking 21/25 year old. He was staying at the Sofitel and she left with him for 600 rmb. We also visited Xin Tiandi lots of nice looking girl’s, girlfriend type, closes a bit early. I will finish saying I did enjoy Shanghai and will return. However, if you are not on an expense account there are many places that have all the pleasures of PVG without the price tag. I was in Shangahai for the first time this October, had read the forum, was all set to go. I wound up in the Royalton on WuYi Road in the West part of Shangahi, not really close to anything I had researched. I decided to just strike out on foot and scope the neighborhood across Wu Yi Rd. Just in the next block there were about 4-5 bbs. As I approached one of the girls would come out and ask, massagee? The first one quoted 60rmb for massage, what the heck, why not. Went to a small curtained room and there seemed to be a lot of activity in the cubicle next door. Was instructed to remove my clothes and lie on the table. Got an excellent oil massage with lots of incidental touching, on the flip we got down to business. She ask if I wanted that massaged also, said the price was 200rmb. All in all it was a pleasant exchange, my 60 rmb rub went somehow to 120 for an unkown extra, but all and all was a pleasant experience.

A couple of nights later I went to the same street and tried another bbs, with similar experience. This time when I was leaving some of the girls in the front grabbed me an wanted me to go to the back with them, think they thought there was rmb still in my pocket.

For an alternate plan everything was great. The bbs were just average, but the girls were 7-8 and the service was 8-9.

It is a good alternative to all the way downtown.

AGI think that is something to beware of, I think they are watching everyone, and if they want to grab you for something they will. I guess it will just depend on whether or not they decide to go for a certain vice. For now I would say they would be mainly concerned with more serious crimes, but that could change at any time without warning. Interestingly I saw a report the other day saying that China, along with Malaysia is the worst country in terms of the number of camera's watching its citizens. You can be sure that in important cities like BJ and SHanghai that everywhere you go is watched, so keep that in mind.

Does not sound like a highly effective way to spend money. In fact, I'd like to bet less than half those camera housings even contain cameras. There is one every 10 feet on TRL. It's insane.

There was also some debate among the Shanghai Gang as to whether it was for mongers protection or to bust them. We settled on the former. Too much paperwork to file for foreigners. Plus, there have been a lot of complaints that idiot lao wai who have not RTFF are getting ripped off by the streetwalkers hanging around the area at 4am and jumping in cabs with dudes pissed off their skulls on 40 kuai sips of bourbon.

So, been lurking for about a year now, living in Shanghai for almost two years, and the people who post on this board have been such a great source of entertainment and tips it seemed that I was really pushing my karmic luck if I continued to lurk. I’ve been to a few places in Shanghai and had decent experiences, I had one pretty good experience in Tokyo, but let me start with Shanghai. (Also, is “karmic luck” an oxymoron?)

I went to Yu Ping a while back. This was my first sauna experience, but I was determined to act like a pro from the guidance I had received here.

My first mistake was going right after work. It was maybe 8 oclock, and I had my briefcase. Where do I put the damn thing? I thought maybe I could give it to some random guy on the street to hold onto, but he might give it back with an STD on it. Wait, I’m sort of losing the thread, here.

Anyway, there are lockers in the lobby to put your briefcase into. Trying to look like an old pro lasted about 8 seconds as I demonstrated that I couldn’t figure out how the lockers worked. The guy had to come around from the desk and show me. He was an older guy, and he was very nice about it. Pleasant as can be.

So I go inside, strip down, and there are three guys hovering around waiting to help me get my clothes off. I was ready for this from reading the threads, but even so, I wasn’t really ready for them to be so…. Close. I mean, please, gentlemen, I have been doing this, this taking off clothes business, for several years on my own. Could I trouble you for a little personal space? But no, there’s only me and these three guys in the locker room and they’re up against me like we’re all on the subway at rush hour. But they were good sports about it, and so was I and so I went to take a shower.

(Here’s a question that I never see asked or answered here. Do you tip these guys? I know you don’t really tip ANYONE in China, but if there is anyone it seems that it might be worth tipping, it’s the folks that you are entrusting your genitalia too, such as the kind people of the Yu Ping Sauna. And obviously the tips would come on the way out, not the way in, but I still couldn’t help thinking about it. On the way out, I gave two of the three guys in the locker room 10 RMB each. Then I went to give the third guy 10 kuai and realized I only had a 100. Ooops. I quickly disengaged my eye contact, and slunk out of there.)

I went into the shower area and it was very nice. Very nice indeed. Though I mean, how nice is a shower, really? So long as the water is hot, there’s some decent pressure, the water is reasonably clean, and there are no rats swimming around, we’ll all say it’s pretty nice. Which it was. I soaped up all over (“Gotta smell clean for the LADIES!” I kept telling myself. As if, really. They probably think that there’s no amount of soap in the world that can cleanse the stench off a laowai like me. Given that I had lunch at Zapata’s that afternoon, they’re probably right.) and then when I was ready to get out, I saw a guy standing there holding my towel. Just like my mother used to. Soooo, I went back in and stood under the shower for another 10 minutes, hoping he would go away. He didn’t. My skin was rapidly drying out, so I let him hand me the towel. It wasn’t so bad. I just need to be less uptight about guy-on-guy contact. Though I guess if I were, I might be posting over at craigslist instead of ISG.

So I get out of there and towel off (there was a nice whirlpool on offer, but I declined) and put on the jammies. Nothing like some loose beige thin-cotton jammies to make a man feel S-E-X-Y. Oooooh boy did I look smokin’ hot in those things.

They then lead me to a room and sit me down in what is like a large theatre with lots of easy chairs facing an enormous TV screen. The program was in Chinese, but it looked fascinating. Something about flowers. Maybe it’s the same nature program they broadcast on the side of the Aurora building. I don’t know. It made me hungry for flowers, though.

They went for the upsell, and I sort of wanted a beer, but asked for green tea instead. The girl who took my order looked at me as if to say, “Green tea? How about some ginger ale to go with that, Granmama?” But she smiled and brought me some watermelon, too. Which was nice. Come on folks, let's not cry wolf here. As far I as know (and apparently as far as anyone knows) not a single lao wai has been busted for anything yet due to any cameras, and I very highly doubt there will ever be a case of camera-busting for simple mongering. I mean really, this is China, they don't even give so much as a scolding to people (even locals) for driving WHILE drinking straight out of the bottle, puking out the window, getting out of the car and immediately getting into a fight, puking again, etc. etc. etc.

So enough talk about the cameras. It's for your protection or a scare tactic. If it's anything more the police would just be making their own lives much harder. And frankly they prove nothing anyway.

The ones to be scared of are the girls in and around those bars. We have all heard (and in many case have experienced) many cases of them posing troubles.

Hmm, sounds a bit fishy to me mate.

Does not sound like a highly effective way to spend money. In fact, I'd like to bet less than half those camera housings even contain cameras. There is one every 10 feet on TRL. It's insane.

There was also some debate among the Shanghai Gang as to whether it was for mongers protection or to bust them. We settled on the former. Too much paperwork to file for foreigners. Plus, there have been a lot of complaints that idiot lao wai who have not RTFF are getting ripped off by the streetwalkers hanging around the area at 4am and jumping in cabs with dudes pissed off their skulls on 40 kuai sips of bourbon.

Do not ask me where I got the following information from but I had verified with reliable source the following:

1) 75% of the camera housing are installed with real workable cameras wired to the District police stations.
2) Another 10% are dummy cameras
3) Another 15% are empty housing
4) Cost of installation of a working camera (including wiring up to the station) = approx: RMB2,500 each
5) They usually monitor the areas from around the period 11am - 2pm, 4pm - 7pm, 9pm - 11:30pm and as and when there are phone calls from the security guards around the area of the cameras telling them there are fights or any suspicous looking person in the area.
6) The cameras are meant for ensuring peace and order of the areas and not for monitoring the bar goers, mongers, etc. If you break up a fight, than you are disturbing the peace and order and therefore your face will be on the camera!
7) The main reason why the girls are not standing outside their bars at TRL last week is mainly due to the New Property Manager (an Old women) do not like the girl soliciting business outside the bars and not because of the cameras. However the managers normally get off work at 9pm and thus you would see the girls back on the streets after 9.
8) Do not hug or kiss the girls outside their bars as these could be recorded down on tape. Although it is nothing wrong with that, you do not want those scenes to be on tape do you?
9) If you are taking the girls back home from the bars, it is better for you to wait somewhere else for her before grabbing a taxi. Rather than been recorded boarding a taxi together with the girl. how to regonize? that's easy:

ktv: they have big neon lights with three big words "ktv" on it! they are normally not open before 3pm.

bbs: have a frontage with at least one barber shop chair and there will be some girls sitting around. once you you walk pass them, take a peep into the shop, the girls will wave at you to enter. in some cases they even stand up to open the door for you. if you are white, i am sure they will welcome you with open arms! most of them will have the four chinese characters "休闲洗头" on the glass door.

It is optional for you to tips these guys, but if you do and for an amount of 50 or more you could find that the treatment you will find that in your next visit (hopefully not too far away) will be extremely nice. It is amazing that they can remember your face.

Here is another tip: You do not need to tip them individually. They will share it in a pool anyways. Tipping them with a 50 is better than 5 X 10. 10RMB make the tip look small. So just tip one of them with a 50 and you will notice every one of them brightens up.

Just came back from Shanghai, thought I'd post some experiences, this one is about BBS.

I stayed in southwest of Shanghai, in the area of XuJiaHui (徐家汇）, a commercial center. I've visited a few places following the postings of ISG.

On the first day, I went to take a stroll along Changde Lu（常德路）， at around 11pm. Dont want to go on too long with my doubt, but what do I do?

Background: New to scene and in China for a few months so I though, hey check out the girls scene. I am young and single so. have not reported in a while sorry...passed through Shanghai last week and after reading the posts (thanks) I selected to stay in the Renaissance Yangtze because of it closeness to Yuping sauna. I found the place it is actually no in the Yuping but next door in a separate building. I picked 806 who was very cute and very fun, but a little restrained compared to later girls. (Continue my reports on a recent trip to Shanghai)
On my 2nd day, I decided to try the red rope discussed so much in this forum. To repeat, the address is 500 WuZhong Lu (吴中路500号, 香蜜湖大酒店).

When the taxi dropped me off at 500 WuZhong Lu, I was actually disappointed. I was expecting a huge fancy hotel, instead, due to the construction nearby, the area looked deserted, and the hotel lobby is actually not facing WuZhong Lu, I had to walk to the other side of the building to find the lobby, and a small lobby it is.

It was about 7pm, following the advice of this forum. I was practically the only one there. Turn right on the floor, I was led to a small locker room. Took off my clothes, I decided to take my wallet and cellphone with me, and entered the adjacent bath/shower room. I was given a plastic bag to put my stuff, and a transparent locker to lock the bag, this is only for the duration of the bath, you will take it after finishing the shower. Really I was the only guest there, after taking a soak in the bath pool, I chatted up with the attendent, he almost immediately figured out I came from abroad (I'm chinese, thought I behave/talk the same as anyone local, especially when naked), anyhow I decided to let him do his scrubing on me. (Continue my reports on my recent trip to Shanghai)

I watched a video clip on the net, well-known I think, about the japanese soapland experience, very exciting. Always dreamed about openning one shop myself, but still trying to figure out the plumbing. Thanks to the forum, the dream became reality earlier.

The place is at the intersection of JiaZhouLu (胶州路)and ChangPingLu(昌平路) near JinAn Temple, called JiYungHuiSuo(吉原会所). I just hopped on a taxi to that location, now how in the hell am I supposed to find out these wonderful places? There is absolutely nothing outside of the building indicating anything remotely interesting is happening inside. I bravely went upstairs anyway, lead by a promise and a dream.

Again no talk about money in the whole process, I was just led to a empty locker room, put all my stuff in, kept my wallet and cellphone in a plastic bag. I walked down the hallways expecting to be led to a private room, for a privite lineup, and a private fun. But after one turn, I heard a lady saying: all stand up, and suddenly about 20+ pretty things stood in front of me. Now, I dont' know how you guys do it, I'm still not at ease going through the lineup one by one, frankly I thought it's a little demeaning to the ladies, so I always tried to be quick and non-staring. Among all the pretty things, I picked the one closest to me; no, distance wasn't the reason, she was absolutely gorgeous.

She was actually surprised, but gladly led me to the room, with a dry bed, a shower separation with a wet bed. She went out to get her stuff, I asked her where I could find the restroom, she hesitated, and pointed to the shower: do it there, but wash it off. She came back a few minutes later, called the front desk to start the clock, it will be 70 minutes, of heavenly bliss.

Now, among all the ladies I met during this trip, she's by far the prettiest and loveliest, from Dongbei, just turned 18, being there for 1 month, with a dimple, a constant smile, and a voice that's not yet 18. I told her how pretty and lovely she was, she was really happy to hear that, and I was determined to get her into my hotel. I realized only later that she ressembled an actress in one of those korean TV series, the one I always thought lovely, thus another wet dream realized.

The whole affaire can be separated into two parts, first half in the shower. Sitting on a split stool first, I assume the split made it easier to soap & wash my private parts. There were some teasing of course, like sliding herself along my arms and thighs. On the bed she did the full body soapy slide, sort of fun, but I was mostly involved in the conversational effort to get her to come to my hotel, she said first she doesn't really do that, but eventually agreed. My girl stopped me and said that's the girl she was talking about, so I told the other girl what my girl told me, she was very glad and thanked me for that. I'll definitely visit her next time, if she's still there. Now my girl said that most girls only work there for 3 to 4 months, because the customers usually prefer some new blood. So gentlement, get their cellphone numbers.

I then stayed in the resting room, drinking and eating those free stuff, they were actually not bad. I was debating where to go next because the night was young, eventually decided to hit the bar scene (that'll be the next report.) The total damage was 700+ (forgot the exact amount), definitely worth it. One thing I like better than the bath houses is that here everything is private, I don't see the point of displaying my body for other men, especially if I'm paying.

The first two on your list are near to the centrally located. Eventhough Shanghai is the safest city in China, unless you are extremely tight on budget, personally, I do not recommend you to stay in those hostels. For a few dollars more, you can stay in better quality hotel.

One cheap motel with reasonable pricing RMB 249 (I believe is inclusive of tax) with the necessary facilities including free broadband in the room is Green Tree Inn, located 1829 Xinzha Road. THey have many branches but this one is very centrally located. It is only 5 minutes walk to the metro station in JingAn Temple/Nanjing East Road. It is 5 minutes walk to BBS along Chengde lu. They even have a computer on the lobby for you to access the internet free. I have no problem bringing girls back.

Hi all... newbie here - about to depart on my first trip to Asia on 8 Nov.
Also, will visit Shanghai (20-24 Nov) in case anyone wants to meet up.

I've done lots of RTFF but still feel clueless about where to stay and how
much I must pay for basic (nothing fancy) accomodations. Please take pity
and offer a helpful word of advice about where I should stay.

Alternatively, is transport so good I need not worry about location?

These mostly look cheap & clean, but I guess they would probably not be good for in-call mongering (even with a private room). Would I be missing out to do outcall mongering only? Should I skip these and find a regular hotel? If so, what's a reasonable minimum price and do you have any specific suggestions?

Finally, here is an inexpensive hotel I found. But how much are taxes and is this a good location?

So I flew into Shanghai a little after noon on Saturday and decided to hit some of the tea/coffee shops Mianbao posted about earlier ( http://internationalsexguide.info/forum/showpost.php?p=515539&postcount=7073 ). I'll be referring to the shops the way Mianbao numbered his map.

Looking for some fresh young meat, and having seen a few places in Jing An closing down, I decided to try to find the XiZhuang & Lianhua Lu sites that another member talked about. Caught a cab from Xuijiahui to Lianhua Lu and it cost around 25rmb.

Near Lianhua Lu metro stop is Brilliance Shopping Center to the left of the site is a Home center where the alley starts, then extends for quite a length (expect a 20 min walk) and has about 10 BBSs. It was dinner time, so the street was pretty busy, and I didnt want to have service while the girl was still digesting dinner, noodles and sex anyone ?

I should describe myself first: Middle-age Chinese American who speaks Mandarin very well. I am not very active at all compare to others here and never would I do this in a BBS. I only checked it out just out of curiousity because I happen to be very close to that area.

So I went into the first BBS I saw, took 1 look and I knew this filthy place is not for me. So I said something like "no one else, just you huh" and I did not ask for anything.

I left and in 2 minutes, 3 young thugs in bicycles chased me down, demanding 200RMB because I had made her lost business. They pulled me, pushed me but I was lucky it was only 5PM and there was lots of people on the street, so I had the courage saying no way, I was there for only 2 seconds and I did not even ask for any service.

Eventually these thugs saw I was not going to back down and there were just too many people around (although I doubt anyone would have helped me), they turned away. I got on to the first taxi I saw with my heart about to jump out of my throat.

They probably would not have done this to a Lao Wai and I wish I could tatoo my US passport on my forehead so that these thugs would stay away from me. Also, sadly, this passport on forehead might help me getting a "high end" semi-pro or freebie girl at Luna (although I have never been there yet) or some other facy places on the bund.

Anyways, even if you are a true Lao wai, Watch out for your own safty. The thugs could have been more aggressive on a quiet street around midnight and they would not care if you are white, black or even green.

I went to the Royal Silver Spring Sauna recently and found out that they have English speaking staff.

I had a session with number 35 and it was unfortunately not good:

When I came down to the resting area and I indicated in Chinese that it was just so so, an English speaking 'Teamlead' (so the title on his uniform badge...) talked to me and wanted to know which parts of the service I did not like and why. He promised to 'analyze the case'...

He also told me that they are considering to raise the prices soon.
No good news, but on the other hand: 700 / 750 RMB for 90 minutes play time and free food / soft drinks is really a good deal! If they go 50 to 100 higher, it is still competitive, I think.

Anyway, when I left they gave me one of their VIP membership cards and so I only had to pay 700 RMB. I think you can get it also when there is nothing to complain - if you know how to ask for it in Chinese, please have a try.

Thanks to GlenEagle, Apac Boy, and Ace Gallant for suggesting all these low-priced hotel options. I've copied all the info to take with me.

The Green Tree sounds perfect and, since GlenEagle has actually stayed there, I feel confident its a reasonable choice. The web site provides even more info (including a map, in Chinese, that I will print and take with me). The web site also provides an email address for the Green Tree Management Group; I'll try using it to book a room.

For me, budget travel is a matter of prioritizing how you want to spend your travel money. Would you rather take 2 higher-priced trips or 3 lower-priced trips? (Rhetorical Question). On this trip, my employer is paying the airfare to/from China and for business-class hotels during the brief business portion; after that, its all on my own dime. I could have made this trip shorter and gone a more upscale route, but I chose to make this a longer (month-long) trip instead. This will allow me to do a pretty wide survey including a few days each in GZ, DG, SH, Xiamen, SZ, HK, Manila and Cebu City.

In case you look for company this is one of the best strips in town.
Girls come to you or you make contact, either way. It is very easy to find friends there. Don't worry it will come very natural.

However, it seems that in some bars, girls do not look for company but for someone who spends money in drinks.
As you have RTFF, I am sure you know already what I am talking about.

Hi bros, I have read this forum and have gotten a lot of useful info out of it. I have also provided info earlier, but here is my latest report of SH.

Getting here:

I and 9 of my buddies landed in SH in the early afternoon. We took the MagLev from the airport to SH. The normal cost is about 50rmb, but since we had our plane tickets, we were all charged 40rmb each. If you visit SH, you should really take this train for the experience. It goes pass 430KM/h which I believe it’s the fastest train on earth currently. WOW, it’s a rush as the train goes the opposite way booms by. The whole ride takes about 7 mins, so enjoy it while it last.

Since there were 10 of us all together, we didn’t want to take 3 taxis, so we took the subway. I guess it was rush hour, it was crowed as hell. But, we 10 guys average about 200lbs/each had no worries. The crowd had to move around us. The subways system was cheap. Cost about 6rmb for 1 ways to our hotel. We stayed at the SH hotel. Pay about 600/room 2 in each room.

Sauna (new?)

As soon as we got to SH, I took the guys to a foot massage place that I remembered.

This was a great foot massage place as I had remembered. It was huge on top of the shopping mall. It had about 50-75 rooms and very lavish hall ways with huge columns. It was beautiful. But as soon we got there, I don’t remember it being the same. The look has changed. But still the same welcome hall; once you get out of the elevator. I found out that this place had open for a couple of months now and it is now offering massages and FS. There is a price list in the front left as you get out of the elevator. We all went for the FS massage with wash. I don’t remember the exact price, but its about 450-550. After the manager and I finalized the price, they brought all 10 of us slippers. They ask us if we want to shower on our own or have the MM wash us. We had already negotiated the price with the manager to include this service, so I told the locker boys. They gave us these prison looking like uniforms and we all changed in the locker rooms.

Once, we were all changed, they had to coordinate to get us in private rooms of 3 and 4 since we had such a large group. I am telling you, we all play rugby here in the states; we are like 3 times the size of these locker boys. They were stun to look at such a collective massive group. Once all the fuss was done, still can get over all the stares we got; we went to our own private rooms. The relaxing private rooms have nice lazy boy chairs with a flat screen TV. They offer us beverages and some snack. Then they asked if we were ready, and of course we were.

The massage rooms are very new, large compare to some. I like it right away. There is a bathroom, well a shower room in the corner all glass encased. There is a new elevated massage table in the middle of the shower room. Well light, and the rest of the massage room was dim. There was a bed adjacent to a nice dim lamp. Mirrors and of course the Thai ceiling posts.

The service starts with you and her stripping. The MMs will always ask you to strip first. I always ask them to be stripped naked first so they can dance for me while I sit on the bed drinking my drink. When I am ready, I stand up and she undresses me. This is a very valid question and not stupid at all for a newbie, therefore it shall be answered.

Mongering in anywhere in the world is just the same anywhere. As long as you keep yourself safe, covered you'll be safe. Of course there are some exceptions cases like there are some member of the board who are infected with Herpes, intentionally pass the disease by bare backing the girls and brag about it on the board. Most of the members of the board believe in good clean sex.

Unfortunately China had been a pretty clean place until the number of foreigners in China had increase. There is also outbreaks of Herpes in common places like The Village, in Happy Town and AIDS out-break in certain bar in TRL (Read the past reports). But all these had been quickly isolated by the local authorities.

One of the reasons why the girls in China are treating foreigners differently is because of their limited knowledge of the safe sex and STD. The common myth passed among the girls is "So and so was taken home by a foreigner, she was found to have AIDS a month later". or "Don't go with Foreigner, their dick is huge and it will be very painful for you!". coincidentally; while typing this report the TV was showing this girl who leap down to her death after she discovered that she had been infected with STD by a foreigner (which I think is a Japanese - did not watch the first part).

However overall in the bigger cities like Shanghai and Beijing, they are more receptive to foreigners than the smaller villages. I recalled not long ago when I was visiting to one of the rural village 400KM from Shanghai, doing a educational tour, my colored hair invited mumbling among the villagers. I found later, after the head of the village told me, that the villagers are a bit scared of me because I am Chinese looking (I am an ABC) but I have gold colored hair that looks like those foreigner they seen in TV, but I speak some unknown language (English), and a few variations of Chinese. They were wondering whether I am a real human or just a foreigner with a face mask of a Chinese.

Like most of us here; Play hard but Play safe! Do not be like some particular members, they knew that they have STD and they intentionally infect those girlls. These people; IMO; should be prosecuted as "murderers"

It depends what you are looking for.

For KTV: KTV on 2nd floor of Hengshan Hotel (on Hengshan Road) is very wild and fun.
For BBS: Tons on Jianguo Road. Just ask cab driver to keep driving eastbound down that road till you see them. At least 20+ BBS line both sides of the street.

For Sauna: Go to Shijiabao on Yanping road near Wuding road.

Bars: A bunch of them on Hengshan Road. Try Bourbon Street, Narcicus, or Zapatas. Walk around there and explore. Or you can hit Maoming Road near Fuxing road. You can go a little further out to Tongren road.

The few YuPing WGs I had been with are are all great on this.

It appears to me that a lot of questions are related to location of establishments.

I suggest that forum members include personal placemarks from Google Earth in their FR's. It it really easy.

To create & upload placemark

1. Download & install Google earth application (URI http://earth.google.com/)
2. Locate establishment of choice on map
3. Select "Add/Placemark..." from menu and place it on top of map location, enter a brief description and select "Ok".
4. Select placemark (right click in Windows) and "Save as..." to save placemark as a .kmz file
5. Add file extension .zip to file (kmz-files not possible to upload), e g 'nice_place.kmz' -> 'nice_place.kmz.zip'
5. Submit a report in your favorite adult travel forum and attach the .kmz file (it is saved in a zipped format that takes up only a few hundred bytes)

To Download & install placemark
1. Save placemark attachment to local machine
2. Remove .zip extension, e g 'nice_place.kmz.zip' -> 'nice_place.kmz'
3. Double-click on the .kmz-file to load it into your Google Earth application

There are several raids conducted by the police recently; the day after reports had been made that certain person had been infected in certain place. On the case of HIV, once the hospital test a person is HIV positive, the doctor is to report that person to the authority without fail. Although the infected person could had got himself infected a few months ago without knowing, they would be question about their history of places he had visited, etc. For Herpes, it doesn’t take much for the infected person to get an outbreak and thus seeking help from the hospital.

The latest type of test available takes only 24 hours to detect HIV in your blood stream. There is also test, under experiment, that gives you the results in 2 hours. However as I said; this is still under experiment and not available commercially.

IMHO: I think you are been overly paranoid about STD. Relax, sometime if we are out mongering we should not be overly worried about lots of stuff. Although we agreed that we must had protection on regardless of whatever situation, we should think of it as a routine to get ourselves covered and not make it into an inspection process during the choosing of your girl! Just left Shanghai this morning and arrived in Singapore. Had been in Shanghai for the past week and went to some of the familiar haunts so I thought I would post an update for any that are interested.
I hit the Shanghai hotel sauna on Saturday. Had a choice of 8 girls. (this was at 4:00pm) I went with #19. She was very pretty and had a flawless body. The deciding factor on her was the great smile she showed me in the line up so it was a go with her. There are many posts on the Sauna in WuZhong Lu 500 but it seems every report is referring to the 4th floor.

Well, it seems the 5th floor is also very interesting.

I went there with my friends not knowing that this is the famous WuZhong Lu 500 place and only when I picked up a card later I saw where I have been.

As I was a bit unsure that nobody has discovered the 5th floor so far, I checked the previous posts but it seems it is really the same place, behind the 'Yellow Hat' car parts shop as described by Dragon D previously.

On the 5th floor, they have a 800 RMB package for one hour KTV and one hour action.
My friends and me were lead to a room and then around 15 girls entered to introduce themselves.

After you pick your girl, you need to choose which costume they should wear:
Nurse, French maid, Japanese school girl, Baby (oh my god) and Baseball player. From my point of view, Baseball player is the best and most sexy.

After they leave the room to put on their uniform, you take a shower, change to the standard sauna wear, and go back to the room where they wait for you already.

I got scam and here is how. Few of us went to this local shop to purchase a phone card so we can use while we are here. Everything is great, got it for a good price around 120RMB and it comes with 50 prepay amount.

We started using the phone card with our new numbers. Its great, we had no problems at all. Then one of our phones ran out of the prepay amount. Then another ran out. We had been using the phone a lot and all, so we think nothing of it. At this time, its been a few days since we purchase the cards and have already forgotten the shop’s location.

Of course, we had to buy refill cards at this time. So we did. We ask the nice young lady to help us charge it up. She did it and then tries to check the amount that was charged. She calls the 13800138000 number to verify the charge. She gave me a bewilder look as she is telling me that there is no response from the phone status system. So, I try dialing a number and it worked. At this point I thought nothing of it, since I can make calls and all.

Half a day later, the phone dies on me again. No more prepay amount, I was told from a computerized voice. I went back to the lady who charged it for us, she said that she did it and she knows nothing else. I then went to the telecom company and ask them what had happen. Long and behold, after more than an hour wait, they come back and tell me that the SIM card which I had purchased is a replicated card, a fake card. Its map to some other account who forwards calls to it, and then when I charge it with money, it will be charge to the real account. He went on for half an hour trying to explain this to me. I still don’t really understand how this hacking works.

So, people, as advised by the telecom folks, please purchase SIM cards from a legitimate store. I don’t want any one else getting scam like this. GL.

I took a walk today down Wan Ping Lu near Zhao Jia Bang Lu in Xu Jia Hui. I noticed a couple places and was wondering if anyone ever frequented them. First, a 3 star hotel called the Jian Ke Hotel. I noticed a sign on the outside that seemed to indicate it had a beauty salon/massage place. I walked along further a couple blocks and saw a place called G Massage. It has a light blue door and with a very small window on the door. No other info marked like prices, etc.

Just a quick comment on this topic. I am a white Lao Wai and have lived in BJ and travelled to many other parts of China for work. I have seen that there are many Lao Wai in Shanghai that have a very arrogant and stuck up attitude, there are this type in other parts of China too, but their numbers seem really large in Shanghai.

I think we should all keep in mind that this kind of activity happens in every country. In America it happens a whole lot more than in China - you can be killed in many of the larget cities if you happen to go into the wrong neighborhood at the wrong time. The Pub should be 50 meters from the junction of Jiao Zhou Lu and Xing Zha Lu. There's a Pizza Hut outlet on one of the tall building at the junction. Once you see the Pizza Hut outlet, you should be walking away from it back facing the outlet. (Going East) Across from the Pub there's a brightly litted local KTV. There are usually couple of taxi waiting outside the KTV. You have to look hard for the two Z Y on the door of the pub.

It is a popular up-market club, started business a few months ago, very nice ambient and atmosphere. On a weekend, if you do not have a reservation, you might to queue up to get in and also pay a cover charge of RMB 100 per pax without any drink included. Majority of the crowd are Caucasians, and as usual, when there is a lot of white guys around, there will also be plenty of pros, semi-pros and freebies around.

Park 97 -- This is another up market club, it is located in Fuxing Gong Yuan. There is also a cover charge of RMB 50 per pax to get in on weekends. It has a disco on the ground floor and on the 2nd level, there is a band playing Latin American music. Both clubs used to be very popular but has lost its crowd lately. Personally, I felt the choices of pros, semi-pros and freebies are limited in this place.

Muse -- This club was opened about 2 months ago. This club is more for the locals especially the youngsters as they formed more than 90% of the crowd. As this is a new club, it is packed during the weekends, this is a common in Shanghai, everyone wants to get a share of the excitement. Better chance to find freebies than the pros and semi-pros here. Personally, I don't quite like this place mainly because of the music, type of crowd, atmosphere.

All Saunas or Bath house under the Shanghai law are required to closed at 3am. If there are any open, they are likely to close the main door and stop accepting customers while you finish up inside.

Of course there are other Private and Unregistered Saunas which exceptions can be found. However these Private and Unregustered Saunas, requires some kind of membership and introduction from local or regular customer to be there.

So, the answer is "NO"

Are you sure they are Russians, there is a large expat network in shanghai and there are a lot of very nice western expat women in that crowd. The place i use to go to was the old restored house close to MaoMing, if you are interested i will send you the details once i find the business card. Are you sure they are Russians, there is a large expat network in shanghai and there are a lot of very nice western expat women in that crowd. The place i use to go to was the old restored house close to MaoMing, if you are interested i will send you the details once i find the business card. Its typically filled with young, good looking western girls and guys - almost no locals and i have never come across a professional - but who knows i have never looked seriously for this type of entertainment in shanghai - as i prefer Chinese. That sounds like it. Its bounded by South MaoMing, Yongjia Lu & Central Fuxing Lu. Its an old european villa with a bar, resturant and an outside area where you can sit next to a park like area and drink beer. I have a friend who is only interested in european pick-ups which is why i go their, but i never go their otherwise.

Ace...thats for the link and sorry for the misuse terms. I was referring to the western use of the word nightclub which i guess is termed Disco Bar in China.

I've gone throught most of this years old post and didn't see too much on Attica i guess because as some posters have said its a new establishment. But i just googled the place and saw a streaming video on smartshanghai which show alot of model type 6 foot Russians partying there. I'm talking 9s and 10s here....I can only assume that they are pros from what I am reading on this board. What other reasons would girls that fine have partying in Shanghai. Of course i may be wrong and I've embarassed myself before. How much would this cost approx in Shanghai.....I understand this is higher end stuff but where does the negotiations begin and what should the limit be?

Pros in those places would start their negotiation at around 2000 to 1500 (LT) but I had brought some back at around 800 - 600 (LT) they tend not to accept ST but if it is on Sunday or Weekdays (excluding Friday and Sat) ST should go for around 400 - 600. Attica opened one month ago.
I have been there a few times without paying for entrance (I assume that is the rule).
However, drinks are more expensive than average (RMB 100 for a beer if my memory serves me well).
There is a large variety of girls. Most of them seemed to me regular girls.
Yes, Latinas and Russians can be found there.
However, you must be prepared to invest some money to conquer them.

I have experienced Park 97 a few times.
It is as described by a previous poster.
Again it seemed that majority of girls are regular type.

I don't know others mentioned.

I know another club which is about 100 mts. from Park 97, still in Fuxing park.
Its name should be Guandi (or something similar) and is not upscale as neighbour.
Night I went there, only chinese people and no foreigners, with the exception of my group.

I have been to a couple of KTVs in Shanghai that are similar to the KTV that you mentioned (I don't know it is the same one that I went to). I was brought by my good friend who is based in Shanghai. The tips are RMB400 to 500 per girl. The girls there are wild. I had fun as my room usually have about 10 girls for 4 guys.

I would like to tell you that times will return to normal after the Olympics, but that , very unfortunately, will not be the case. Following the Olympics, the policing effort will begin preparations for the 2010 Shanghai Worlds' Fair.

Quite simply, if you are looking for safe sex, stay away from China for the next four years.

I respectfully request that we all refrain from pithy retorts and diatribes in response to newbies' posts. It simply clogs up the forum, periodically, with information not at all germane to "meeting women for sex", and it makes a much bigger issue than the typically one-line question was to begin with.

I suggest we have a canned response that one person can post, and after one person has posted it we all simply ignore or privately begrudge the initial post. The response could be something like "please read post #1234 for information for new members." The reference post should explain about RTFF and search features, but in a constructive helpful way rather than an antagonizing way. We were all new once and some of us probably also had "stupid" questions and didn't know the "rules", and then many became very helpful contributors to the forum.

Yeah, I too have found the search/navigation to be less than ideal. But hang in there -- there's lots of good info here and you'll pick it up (though it does take time).

The best and simplest place to get tips on goings on at bars and clubs is www.smartshanghai.com. They list the ladies' nights there as well. Zapatas on Wed. night is a no-brainer. Thurs-Sat. pretty much all the major bars and clubs are hopping.

For TR lu and other bar streets, 6:30 pm is far too early to find any action. Things start to pick up around 9pm but don't really get going until later. You can get there as early as 8pm and there will be bar girls working but odds of finding SW's or take outs then are very low.

No idea about the LE, but I wouldn't worry about it.

The rain finally seemed to stop this evening and I decided to take a stroll to the Tongren Rd. I went around 6:30pm and the street was completely dead. I spot the notorious camera(how can you not?) and there was a police car patrolling the strip back and forth. The same goes with the Shanghai Hotel area (I am not talking about the sauna there but the SWs). My questions are

1) Is there a compiled list to when and what bar/club to go during certain day of the week? I tried to search in the archive but come up with nothing. Trust me, the forum is not as easy to navigate as one'd like it to be. I spent sometime just trying to figure out what ROD means. Came up with nothing after hours of searc, so I was hoping someone could give me a pointer

2) Anyone has any update on the latest police crack down? It bothers me alot cuz it appears that almost every place has been raided or checked.

I have already posted about the sauna on the 3rd floor, really convenient if you are staying at the hotel. 1150 RMB for an hour session or so in your room.

Had a choice of 4 girls at 2AM tonight and I picked Toto. She worked hard and well past an hour to bring me to a satisfactory conclusion, which was difficult. I tried to tip her 100 and she did not accept. That suprised me.

Cripes, Mahal, that's a LOT of money for one hour! She didn't accept a tip because 1) you don't tip in China, and 2) she probably already felt so guilty with you being charged so much.

To put things in perspective for you: Typical overnight charge in Shanghai is 800RMB. Typical one pop (1-2 hours of their company, but shouldn't be rushed) is going to run 3-400RMB.

A complete sauna service (massage, showers, hot tub, steam room, and all that wonderful full service, plus food in the VIP room) is going to run you about 650RMB.

Heck, Dragon D will bring a girl to your room for about 800 for an hour.

So what you paid was WAY too much. For that much, for one hour, you should have gotten at least two girls!

Regarding TongRenLu. Things don't start happening there until later - figure 9pm as the earliest you should even think of going if you want to hit the party time. Also, Sundays are usually dead all over Shanghai. By the way, it isn't just one camera on TongRenLu. There is a camera on every lamppost. However, note that not all the camera housings have cameras inside. But there are enough...

The Shanghai Hotel Sauna (2nd floor) should be open most days. I believe they open around 1:30pm, so you shouldn't have had any problem going there at 6:30pm. But if you go earlier, finish and leave before around 5:30, you save 100RMB.

Good Hotels in China will typically ask for RM1000 from guests - from GuagdDong to Dalian - however i must admit you can normally negociate a LT for RM1000 (if ordering from a hotel KTV), so i have to agree that its a bit high. However i would not consider this a major over price - the girls at JJ will ask for RM1600 for LT - plus the KTV charges - however i must admit they are gorgious and very skilled, but RM2100 for an evenings fun is a bit too pricey for me.
But if you really want to get ripped off, come up to beijing and follow a tout - my 2 mates from singapore ended up paying RM6000 for a few drinks and a bit of a cuddle in one of the major rip off KTVs in this part of china last month.

Just arrived at the Green Tree Inn and want to say that I am pleased.

When I reserved via the web I was quoted 249 RMB/night but when I arrived they gave me 229 RMB/night (after joining their "club" for 20 RMB). The room includes a big (king size) bed with a firm mattress and internet access. It does not have a safe. There is a good bit of street noise, but I asked to be moved to a quieter room tomorrow. Room is quite clean and seems to be a good value. Optional breakfast is an extra 15 RMB.

Green Tree will loan you one of their unbrellas but you must leave your room key behind as a security deposit.

Green Tree provides laundry services through a shop only 1 block away on Yanping Road (just cross the street from the hotel and walk down Yanping Road, its on the right). I got faster (same day) service at a better price (no extra money for same day) by taking my laundry there directly, rather than going through the hotel.

Whine: These laundry services seem overpriced compared to a self-service laundromat (which I can't find around here). I paid 108 RMB for what amounts to one small load of wash and have to wait 6 hours. In the USA, I could do this myself in 2 hours for only about 25 RMB.

Big shout to all the regulars out there. I'm a Shanghai newbie, less than 3 months, and due to this forum, been venturing to places without problems. This is my cherry post.

Just a note, my chinese is allright, passable, but definately not fluent, and definately with a foreign accent, by enough to get by in shanghai.

OK. Here's the juice.

Sauna freebies.

Hits so far 5/6. And it works like a charm.

I actually go to the sauna to relax (as do we all) but, after the 1st time the red rope / water treatment is a little redundant. To me it's not really that enjoyable, usually I tell the girl to skip it, smoke with me, talk, give her a massage. Do some chinups on the bars over the bed or some crap like that.

I usually go in the early afternoons and I can pick the girls when they're freshest and just after lunch, when everyone wants to sleep. My first tactic is to:

Offer the girl a massage- yes. Offer them a massage. Why the hell not, you got 1. 5. 2 hours. It takes 10 mins, and you can get the small talk out of the way. Most sauna girls "hate" giving this "fuwu". But they WILL not show it. Evey complaint against them- they get "fined" ranging from 50-100 rmb, so unless your girl is really (#*$(try *not* to complain.

How do I know this, it's because I had 5 sauna freebies so far. All in the last month or so. Most of these girls get enticed to working there, they can make up to 5000rmb in 10 days. There "are" serious drawbacks though, their management is harsh, but fair, they're treated almost like army recruits. With numerous fines, and a written punishment system within the saunas. They have to pay a monthly sorta management fee, 2000 to the sauna, and pay for their clothes, uniform whatever, and food, which adds up to about 3000-4000 a month, depending on how much fines she racks up. They get paid every ten days.

To me, this is slightly degrading, most of these girls are desperate, and don't plan on working long, they're really scared of illness, most retire within 3-4 months max and go back to their homes. They are quite burnt out at work, most of the time you see very little like 10 girls being "anpai"ed for ya, but there are acutually a hell of a lot more in the back. The back room, from what I hear is a real ***** warzone. They've got a choice between being in there, or with a demanding customer. It's a hard choice.

Show these girls some respect, and they will really really really appreciate it. Tell them to skip the fuwu. Give them a massage, or just lie with them and talk. After all they are already trained, and if you do it well, be prepared for a mindblowing GFE! Get their phone numbers. Get them over. They will come.

For me I still treat these girls with respect, and they never ask for a single cent. After seeing so many demanding customers, they would not mind some quiet time with you.

I've had one sauna girl, who has brought food to my house for me several times after work and given me brilliant GFE's. Tell me that she cannot see me anymore. Because she will fall in love with me.. Just a side brag/proof note that this works. ALL of them have never asked for a cent. Most of them told me DO NOT come to the sauna to visit me, you are wasting money, I WILL come to you.

At the time of writing, I have a 2 of them cirlcling to land, waiting for clearance from me. I just have to decide between the Shanghainese (OOH man what a looker, but sterotypical Shanghainese girl who loves cash. I need not bother to explain.) Or the Dongbei Dolly with nice papays.

Since my name is "xing" (star) in chinese, I have bought 6-7 sets of star earrings and snuck them into the saunas via cigarrette boxes and given them to the girls. They really love it. 1 cried. Just make sure she has earrholes.

While I'm typing this report- shanghainese called to followup. "?.? , ? , ? " don't look for me at the sauna, I'll be with you when I'm free, this way you don't have to pay and I'll be very happy" blah blah

This by far the most exciting mongering experience so far. She's has a body and face, woth dying for, with brains to match,

After 3 years, I'm finally a senior member! So, what better way to celebrate than to add to our collective wisdom.

I've been finding BBS opportunities in Jin Qiao, Pudong. That's right, the expat enclave with the nice green grassy villas and the expensive high rise apartments also has places for us to visit. These places are to the north of Yang Gao Zhong Lu (杨高中路 ), around the area of Ling Shan Road (灵山路 ) and Yin Shan Road (银山路 ). From Luo Shan Road (罗山路 ), walk east along Ling Shan Road, then south on Yun Shan Road, then east again on Yin Shan Road. While walking, look out for small stores on the sides of the road with the following signs: 洗头. It means "Wash head" in Chinese. Once you go in, the girl offers you a massage for 30 RMB or a hairwash for about 20 RMB. It is all a ruse to get you inside to the private massage area. In one instance, the private area was just a curtain surrounding a massage bed. In another instance, the girl made me climb up into a 5 foot by 10 foot area in the ceiling. They then offer full services for about 150 RMB.

The quality of the girls varies. Some are cute 20 year olds that just arrived in Shanghai. Others are older 30 somethings that have lived in Shanghai all their lives. What surprised me is that this type of service actually exists out here. I then realized that if you look hard enough, you can find it, even if it is in an out of the way place. Enjoy.

Oh becareful about sauna girls.

When to go with you, or come over, they "know" what you want. But don't show it. They revert back to the "never say yes" typical China girl, so they don't bring condoms. Be prepared for a round of questioning if you "happen" to have some near by" remember their mindset, they're there because you're a nice guy, someone who makes her feel comfortable. She knows what you are, but ignores it, so it's not a good occasion to start whipping out the leather, candles, chains, toys etc.

I tried this on almost all, I said I didn't have any condoms, just to see if they borught, they didn't- and told me to bareback them. They're comfortable with me, blah blah blah blah. I just got back from the Village. Let me start by saying I got there on my own using only information gathered from this forum and my wits. So its not impossible to do, if you are sufficiently motivated and presistent. My thanks to BlackListed and others who posted information on how to get to the Village. That said, it wasn't really very easy; so I'll first provide some additional details on how to get there.

First, you need to figure out where Wuzhong Road is located. The cheap map provided by my hotel didn't have it and nobody on the staff seemed to have heard of it. I found my way to the Tourist Information Center on Nanjing Road (corner of Changshu Road) and they gave me a great map of Shanghai for free. Highly recommended. Now just open the map wide, and look to the far left. Wuzhong Lu runs about from Section D8 to Section C8 and its intersection with A20 is obscured on this map by a list of attractions.

I took Bus 926 to the end of the line (near where Metro Line 1 intersects with Metro Line 4) but I would probably take the Metro next time around. From the bus station there, I caught Bus 721 which runs out the length of Wuzhong Road; Bus 87 runs out the length of Wuzhong Road too. The tricky part is knowing where to get off the bus and I got that wrong. To spare you that ordeal, I suggest you either [a] select one of the many very interesting looking BBS's that I saw along the entire length of Wuzhong Road (both sides of the street) or [b] look for Motel168. http://www.motel168.com/ This actually looks like a decent hotel to stay in (although its not centrally located). Anyway, Motel168 is on the right as you are heading out of town on Wuzhong Road. When you see this, you are getting close to A20 and should consider getting off the bus soon. A little further on, also on the right, is a small cluster of BBS's and just beyond that is a big sign for A20. If you are riding on a bus and looking out the side window, you are likely to miss the big sign for A20 because its up pretty high. So watch out the front window (or just get off the bus and start walking). A20 is an overpass. After you go under this overpass, you will see a big building on your right with neon signs saying ISO9001. Keep walking straight. The first side street you come to is a narrow road on the right which is aptly named HangDong Road.

Turn right on HangDong Road. You will pass what appear to be quite a few automobile or motorbike repair shops and then you will be in the heart of the Village. There are several BBS's right on HangDong Road and several more on the cross road. If you continue straight on HangDong Road and walk over the small bridge you will come to another cross street that also has a few BBS's.

If you are planning to take public transport back, be aware that the whole Shanghai public transport system seems to shut down at midnight. I got out to a bus stop for Bus 87 at 23:20 and seem to have missed the last bus back into town... so I took a taxi part way and walked the rest. Its probably abut 10 miles from the central area of Shanghai to The Village. To me this is walkable (since I like to walk when exploring a new city) but it does take time.

So you want to hear the silly ordeal I went through to get there? Well, folks on Bus 721 seemed willing but not very able to help. The driver and a gal suggested I get off and switch to Bus 87 so I did. This was right at Motel168 but I didn't know at the time that I was so close to my destination. So I got on Bus 87 and missed seeing A20 entirely so I ended up riding this bus to the end of the line --- waaay off in the boondocks somewhere. A passenger on the bus was very helpful and explained to the driver where I wanted to go... I was waiting to take the return trip on the same bus with the same driver when the passenger came along on a motorbike and gave me a lift to the intersection of Wuzhong Road and A20. From there, I just walked the rest of the way.

I was delighted when I arrived at The Village and felt like a kid in a candy store. So many cute girls to choose from and only 150 RMB each.. I held off making any decisions until I had made a tour of the Village and seen most of the BBS's (just on a walking by basis). Eventually I picked a petite girl (even though she wasn't the prettiest I'd seen) just because I like them petite. After she provided a halfhearted BBBJ, I pounded her mercilessly in at least three positions (cowgirl, mish & doggie) and enjoyed every minute of it. I was over in Shanghai from 13th to 19th November. I want to thank all the members who have posted infomation on Shanghai.

Every night, until I left on 19th I was in a suana. Oh boy did I enjoy myself.

14th a travel agent friend brought me to a small suana. The girl is the most beautiful I have seen. But most of the girls there are part timers. I had one with beautiful breast and body and she is only 21. Fantastic service with BK and red robe and all that has been mentioned in most reports on Shanghai.

BUT I love the waves most, though on the first night the taxi driver brought me to Hunana hotel instead of the Hunan building. I had to walk 200 metres to reach the Waves.

The waves I love most, you can see it has been renovated and I like this place because of the privacy it provids. I was there 4 times and the Manager was very thankful. The first time I was there I told the Manager what sort of a girl I wanted and left it to him to chose for me and that has been the case on every occassion I was there. And I must say I was provided with different girls on all 4 occassions and I love them all. What I dislike is the pumping beds on the first night and I told the girl not to switch it on for the next 3 nights, and they comply.

Charges - when you check out before 8pm it is RMB 660 and after 8 it is RMB 700. I did not bargain and have found the prices very reasonable and the services provided extremely satisfying.

wow, you know what, i never thought anyone would come out so far to monger since the area your saying is actually quite far out from the city.

there are bbs everywhere on this area but the only problem is that they are not located all at one spot but rep001tered all around the jin qiao zhen (金桥镇) i for one live at 金桥镇．

i recently notice there are a few new bbs popping out in this area 金高路 jin gao lu. where i could see quite a few 7 and 8 in them. the only problem is that i'm not 100% certain they're bbs. though they have all the signs of a bbs, i never had the courage to go into one of them and try. perhaps i am afraid that if i am wrong, that would really be ............ you know..........

First of all; where are those trips reports you promised us?

Ok on SFH post;

Not all Shanghainese girls are rich or can afford to pay rent. In every country there are poor people and rich people. But I do agree that there are fewer Shanghainese girls working in low end places like Saunas and even less so, in BBS. However, there are still a possiblities. In one of our recent trips to the infamous Bar, one of the Gang member was "hooked on" to the one and only Shanghainese girl working there.

I must also agree that it is still possible to have a Sauna girl as a freebie. There are some very smart and intelligent Sauna girls I had came across before and there are many dumb dumb.... However, I do not think the hit rates are high. Freebies need time for you to pick up. It is not a matter of you seen her once at the Saunas talk to her, give her a Massage, you are all set! No matter how stupid they are, they would rarely agree to even meet you after work. There is also a code of conduct set by Sauna management on not to meet customer after work hours. If the management know about it, they would be questioned. The Management is also worried that if the girl see the customer after working hours, they would not come to their Sauna anymore and thus no further business from this customer. If the management know that the girl is seeing the customer after hours, she may get fired or fined. Having said that; unless they have a very good reason to see you after working hours and especially with only first meeting in Sauna, they will not do it.

So, as I said before too, freebies may not be freebies afterall. The girl will not go to the customer's house if they have no other intentions in their mind. Somehow or another, they will make you pay later. If one say they do not have other intentions on you then what the hell they are seeing you for? Love? Yah right, that's lots of love she gets after meeting you in her working place: The Sauna! Well.. of course there is an exception that the guy look like Tom Cruise. I don't think a girl will throw herself at you because of the respects she get from you.

SFH maths is right. A typical sauna girl make 100 - 200 per customer. On a busy day with 9 hours shift they can get as much as 5 customer. So that's at least 500 a day which means 5000 in 10 days. But with that, having make 5000 in 10 days, do you think someone will risk the job over a little respect?

Conclusion: Anything is possible but it is up to the reader to believe.

The shanghai sauna girl is not a myth. It's a rarity no doubt, but I got nothing to gain by bssing you.

As for the list of saunas, it's all within the Shanghai Hotel / Waves / 500 Wuzong / Yuping / so far, i try not to take girls from the same saunas to avoid trouble. however that might change, my freebie last night told me that you can tell the jingli - i don't wish to see number XXX in the lineup because of "bu hao yi si" reasons, it will never be known to them , unless you happen to pick a girls roommate.

Well, it's not difficult to pick up "freebie" in sauna if one was young and nice. Look at most of those guys in the shower and one knows what the girls have to put up with. One simply prey on the girls in their vulnerable moment in life. I did that a couple times but found it's not worth it. Either ending up breaking the girls' hearts or having to shock them off. It's not a good feeling either way.

Now, I still get numbers, flirts a bit over SMS from time to time and always visit them in the sauna to keep things simple (and professional). A little cares goes long way for them to give you a great experience in the sauna.

As with all freebies, there is nothing really "free" about it. Three months 5 freebies? How long before posting questions about "getting rid of freebies?"

There are Chinese characters on the outside that read like a famous Japanese soapland area in Tokyo - but I guess like me you are not able to read / understand these.

City reports big rise in HIV/AIDS cases

SHANGHAI'S new cases of HIV/AIDS reported so far this year are nearly 70 percent higher than those registered last year, officials at the city's disease control center said yesterday.

The figures point up the need for greater efforts to combat AIDS and the virus that causes it, the officials said. As World Aids Day approaches on Friday, Shanghai is stepping up its programs to get intravenous drug users off the needle and ensure safer sex among local residents.

Shanghai registered 621 new HIV carriers this year through November 20, compared with last year's 370 new patients, the center said.

The city also reported 46 new AIDS patients, double last year's figure. Shanghai's total number of AIDS patients and HIV carriers over the past 20 years now stands at 2,216. Among them, 97 have died from the disease.

Last week, China reported that its registered cases of HIV/AIDS jumped almost 30 percent to 183,733 in the first 10 months of the year, with intravenous drug use the biggest source of infection. World health officials said the increase showed China was doing a better job testing and tracking the disease. They also said the actual number of AIDS/HIV cases was probably several times higher.

Among the 621 Shanghai residents who were infected with HIV this year, the number of male victims was 4.5 times higher than the figure for females, and people between age 25 and 44 were the most affected group.

More than 80 percent of the HIV carriers were from out of town, and among that group, intravenous drug use was the main transmission pathway. For people holding local household registration, the chief culprit was unprotected sex.

"AIDS is on the rise in Shanghai due to lack of knowledge about disease prevention and the rising migrant population," said Cai Wei, director of the city's Public Health Bureau.

As the city gets set to mark World AIDS Day, it has launched several new measures to combat the disease.

The bureau is planning to open methadone maintenance centers in another three districts to help limit the spread of the AIDS virus among drug users who share needles.

"Drug users can ingest the synthetic narcotic drug rather than injecting it," Cai said. "This will reduce the risk of spreading HIV among addicts."

Shanghai now has five such centers in Zhabei, Hongkou, Yangpu and Pudong districts.

The bureau will also carry out AIDS awareness efforts in railway stations, construction sites and other places where migrants congregate.

"We will distribute pamphlets on AIDS knowledge and condoms," Cai said.

The bureau will also keep a close eye on sites where sex workers are prevalent, including hair salons and Karaoke bars.

Last night I had my second opportunity to meet some more members of this board and dammit I am still the youngest one, in line behind Blacklisted. As they say knowledge is power - as long as you use some common sense you can minimise the risk of picking something up, and AIDS is only one disease - thus its always safe in knowing this stuff is about.
This posted interested me because I decided on finding some low-cost options in beijing last week (due to some guy claiming he can get a regular supply of nice girls for RM100-RM150) and in my searching came across some seriously ill looking women offering themselves for a very low price - so i quickly came to the conclusion you get what you pay for (or you get what you did not pay to avoid)

All of us SH regulars know the usual feeding grounds. But in a city such as this, there are new places popping up left and right. I wish I could offer more of a guide, but perhaps we can get a discussion going on the subject.

I have visited Muse a few times. Sort of reminds me of Babyface.- typical chinese bar with way too many tables and not enough dance floor, and not great service (duh). But I did notice a lot of hotties there, and several of the same ones on different nights, with the look that they were available (and likely high-priced hookers). Only downside (besides likely the cost) was that in such a place those girls are more looking for Chinese dudes than lao wai. Usually. But a bit of sweet talk sometimes will sway them over to the dark side.

I did also get the impression that if you go there in a group it might be a decent place to pick up freebies. Think Park 97 or La Fabrique, but not quite so popular with the expats.

Anyway, anyone else know of some good NEW pick up spots?

This post could be educational for newbies and perhaps a laugh (either at me or with me) for those experienced in China.

Unlike other countries (and by other I mean ALL other, at least in my experience) China is a place where you actually might not be guaranteed sex with a hooker. I'm not talking about that a chick blows you off in a bar -- that can happen anywhere. I mean you can actually negotiate a deal and have it blown (and in the meaning that you would be happy to pay for) anywhere from before you leave a bar to the cab ride home to actually in your bed.

This has happened to virtually everyone I know who has mongered in China for any length of time. There are different scenarios and frankly it's a tough read for those of us who aren't intimately acquainted with Chinese ways (esp. SH ways).

I personally have never actually been stiffed on money or been robbed (though I know people who have), but I have on several occassions been working a girl all night, buying her drinks, etc. on the deal that we'd be going home together (pre-negotiated in its entirety) only to either end up with a sob story in bed or otherwise ultimately blown off by a hooker.

Frankly, my advice is this -- don't hang around too long. If you just wanna get laid, I think it's important that you pick a chick and get out of there and down to business ASAP. I personally prefer the scene and therefore often will hang out for hours, which perhaps gives girls the impression that I'll be back (and wasting more money on them). Remember, these girls are all about money, and (as is the Chinese way) are extraodinarily poor long-term thinkers/businesswomen. So make the deal, do the deal, and don't blurr the edges. I guess that's the best advice I can give.

Anyhow, this stuff might be totally foreign to a foreigner (as it still is to me, in some ways). I hope it's of help to some of you.

In fact, about 50% of them will ask you for a date (in so many words), and another 25% or more are more than happy if you ask them. The thing is many of these girls are looking for something other than just sex, or even a pay-for-sex deal.

Slightly related, I have often found that girls at legit massage places will come to your home. My success rate there (for HJ or more, but usually HJ) is about 50%, but I must admit I don't push for anything more, just give some hints.

In any case, for those who enjoy massages there is some opportunity here for something more. Also, a price of 1000rmb for model-like quality is very difficult in Shanghai. 3 years ago, I frequented KTV's where the price was 1500rmb for the whole night and the girls were model-like and drop-dead gorgeous. (note: 1500rmb didn't include the price for the rooms, the alcohol, and all the extra expenses you incur in a KTV.) Windows PUB in Jingan Temple has shifted to a new location across the road. It is now located just next to Haagen Dazz in Jiu Guang Shopping Centre, above the JingAn Metro Station. Haagen Dazz is very prominent in JingAn Temple area. The entrance to Windows and Haagen Dazz is the same set of staircases/escalators located just near the entrance to the car park of Jiu Guang Shopping Centre. You can't miss it. They have raised the prices for some of the drinks

from reading the forum (which more of us should do anyway!), i decided to venture today to another area near jin qiao area. thanks to asiansing for the headsup. i visited the jintai road bbs's to see what was available. for instructions to this place, jin tai road is sandwiched between jin yang road (on the north) and yang gao zhong road (on the south). it starts on one end at zao zhuang road (on the west), and ends at jin qiao road (on the east). to visit, start at the corner of zao zhuang road and jin tai road, then walk east on jin tai road. as reported, there are about 15 bbs's rep001tered throughout this one road. all the bbs's are located on the northern part of the block. in each bbs are 3-4 girls sitting around looking out onto the street.

bj and fs in various positions and then finished blowing my load doggie style. final bill was rmb150.

there are a lot of girls on this street, so i intend to visit again!

Shanghai is my hometwon, but I leave there for about 20 years. I am now kind of between Lao Wai and local. I am not use to bargain in shanghai. In UAS, we usually pay $150-200 for one service. So we always think that 200rmb is nothing. Shanghainese has the best commercial brain in china. They know your thinking. They know you must give up in the bargain war. That why foreigner always get high pay for the service. because you think it may not worth to spend more time to bargain just for couple of $$. But the result is: all the foreigner have to pay more and more for that. Heard about the story of Xiangyiang Lu flee market? after most of foreigner learnd how to bargin the price for goods there. the price there come with the same one in other place in shanghai.

Keep in mind (which include mineself): insisting your price as the same as local. do not make currency inlation in this business. Thanks!!!

I'm looking for an upscale Shanghai Hotel that is guest-friendly. The last time I was there, it seemed as if the staff patrolled the elevator lobby very well and would not let females go up with guests. Any advice on hotels or how to spirit female guests to your room would be appreciated.

When I first signed up I had a lot to report but the guys here covered most of it & I just got lazy so I let it go. Until today! What happened made me so f***ing pissed that i had to let it out.

I was just hanging out on Tong Reng Lu minding my own business. Even when a couple of guys tried to start something the female bosses let it go & tried to clear the troublemakers out, it's a common thing but no bigee.

So I leave. I'm walking down tong ren lu & nanjing lu when a couple of girls approach me. The bold one is an ugly little troll, but there is one in the background who is a little cute. Now I've been drinking for a while & the little troll starts flirting with me hard. She grabs my package, & all of the sudden I realize she has her hands in my pockets. I immediately grab my pocket & her hand & some of my money falls to the gorund. She drops the cash onto the ground. She is quite shocked because this seems to be the first time she has ever been caught. My free hand goes to her throat & I yell "you think I am stupid!?" in Chinese.

She yells no & a ***** behind her tries to vouch for her. I yell at the outsider to mind her own business & she tries to slink away. I yell at the thief "you must think I am stupid right?" She tries to backtrack & says no. Somehow no one is around. I yell "you know thieves that target foreigners will be fucked way beyond Chinese thieves right?!" However it seems that she has forgotten all that. She is crying way beyond i have ever seen tears. I yell at her that i am bringing her to the police. She loses it! She is kickng & screaming but not near enough as before. I bring her in front of the police officer & the officer says "do you have a witness?" the only witness is the other hooker from before & she suddenly forgot how to speak english. She is smart enough to realize that she is in way too deep to screw around with the cops & somehow everyone gets off. Within seconds they disappear but i learn a valuable lesson.

Never let a hooker feel you up! It may feel good but make no mistake they are feeling you up for a future score. Grab them when given the chance & keep th pressure on.

Shanghai Jack was 100% to the point in the directions he gave me to get to this place. A big thank you is in order there.

At the crossing of 'Jiao Zhou' Lu and 'Chang Ping' Lu, a big "Ji Yuan Salon" red and blue neon sign is easy to spot, a no-brainer in the evening, and, just as Shanghai Jack mentioned, there's a desk staffed by two to three Security Guys right below the sign. Both Avenues being not so wide, the sign can be spotted from any point in the crossing.

In you go, up three flights of stairs, and into the Reception area. Routine is the same as elsewhere: Change into Pajamas, go to common room for relaxation and drinks, and then get accompanied to a room, where there's a lineup of some 15 girls. I would rate their selection better than at my usual mongering spot, the Shanghai Hotel.

Pick your fancy, and then get accompanied to a small room, a shower and wet-massage bed to one side of a glass partition, a towel-covered bed to the other. Facilities seemed rather new and painstakingly clean.

You sit at the shower, the girl washes you thoroughly with a one-use sponge, puts a sheet of thin plastic on the wet massage bed, has you lay on it, and you're in for a soapy 15 min body-body massage. Delightful.

Then onto the bed, and the usual hot-cold BBBJ, AR, etc. For those of you fancying the red ropes, there's none of that.

Went there 2 times, firs time with No 51, a svelte girl from Hunan, that was average, and second time with No 56, another svelte Zhezhiang belle, who was a massaging, licking and love-making machine. One to be remembered, certainly.

Only downturn is loooong lead times. First time, it was some 20 min at the reception, second time some 45 min in the Salon. Bottleneck seems to be the number of rooms (the place is HUGE, but extremely busy, although once inside, you don't get that impression), not the number of girls.

Total damage, both times, was 760. I saw a notice in Chinese stating that the price was discounted from RMB 888 to RMB 760. A sales pitch, no doubt, but the good thing being that at least they do not rip you off if you're a foreigner.

A definite "keep" in my portfolio.

She said that many girls left the establishment recently because of the police raids. 5 Johns was arrested at one time. I dont really know if this is true, but she seems sincere to me. Can anyone confirm this?Also, what precisely will happen if you are arrested for mongering in Shanghai?

As for the DragonD's issue, I have used his service many times. Chinese is my native language and I have no trouble finding out what his cuts are like.To be honest, from time to time, I do feel that I am ripped off. However; I do have to come to his defence that he DOES GET THINGS DELIVERED. For a short time visitor who doesnt have the time to explore and doesnt know the language, his service is outstanding. For a new comer to the city, he can teach you how to climb to ropes and show you places to go. I would recommend him to people who are frustrated with the forum and doesnt care about paying.

I have searched the forum for Soapland style saunas and have only come up with 2 in Shanghai.

1) Ji Yuan Salon on Jiao Zhou Lu and...

2) Hokaido at 338 Ning Xia Lu on the 3rd floor

Are there any other similar style of Sauna in Shanghai that I have missed ?
Experience at both of them was very good. Much better then the regular sauna so am looking for more such kind of saunas.

So I met up with DragonD last night to see what all the fuss was about and all I can say is that he is the real deal. Not only can he deliver what you want/need, he has enough clients to understand the mentality behind it. I experienced the village - not my cup of tea, but a definite option. I'm on the side that DragonD provides a valuable service for those that are short of time/knowledge and don't mind paying. And I don't think his rates are anything unusual, maybe slightly higher than local, but you get what you pay for. He can offer a clean room/shower which often makes the difference between a mediocre and bad experience. In any case, two thumbs up from me, and I for one will steer business his way if anyone should inquire.

I just left Shanghai yesterday and stayed most of the time in Pudong. I found the area around the Courtyard to be full of action along Weifung Road and Pudong South Road. There are 2-3 massage places with HJ available and several "BBS" with 2-5 girls per. Most of these places are fronting as a foot massage place. You can see the girls in the windows of a ground floor apartment and go in through the main door into the place. Some have massage signs, other do not. There are 3 good size BBS along Pudong South Road with 5-8 girls in them when I was there. There are also a few SW right near the hotel. And then there is the Jin Tai Lu area that Santa and I visited. I reckon there were 10-12 shops out there, but it is quite a way out if you are staying close to downtown Pudong.

Back to the start. First night I hooked up with the gang and a few of us hit Happy Town after finding the Apartment was closed for renovation. I really like this area. It was my second time of getting great FS for 150 RMB in one shop and a BBBJCIM for 100 RMB in another one. Not one shop tried to overcharge me because I am a lao wai.

Not true at Jin Tai Lu. Nearly every shop tried to get 300 RMB from us for FS, but finally settled for 200 RMB which I reckon is higher than locals pay. I would be keen to hear about other mongers' experiences with prices in this area. I wanted to do one hot Dongbei girl, but she insisted on the money upfront and would not agree otherwise. The accomodation in the place I finally did a girl was just a small ratty cubicle in back with a narrow massage table. I could hardly turn around in the place. Although she did try, the service was lacking and the environment did not help. We did see a few 7s in the area, so it may be an option for takeaway if they would agree to go so far.

For the other nights, I just mongered in the general area around the hotel and pulled out of a couple of BBS and one SW. I paid 150 ST for BBS girls and 200 for a SW who was very good. I found the selection of girls on Pudong South better than Weifung Lu. I learned the hard way that you need to escort the girls to your room at the Courtyard. I ordered delivery from one shop and she did not turn up since she was put off by security. All the others had to register, but no additional was charged to the room.

I seem to get better BBBJ from BBS girls in Shanghai, than I do down South, especially in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, better in DG and in the saunas, of course. I am not sure why that is.
