But I had to go to another VIP room which was located nearer the health centre but again with an unmarked door. There were actually two such rooms, and they were well appointed just like the two inconspicuous VIP rooms at the other end of the corridor. The wooden bathtub stood in a corner of the room next to the TV set, which faced two sofa beds, while at the back of the room were the toilet, shower and steam bath.

Anyway the bath was prepared (a huge disposable plastic bag was put into the tub before water was added, so hygiene should not be a problem), and I relaxed in the hot bath with dry flowers (not enough of them, in my view), my masseuse came to service me. Hotel was reviewed in an article in our daily newspaper in my city here in Europe. 30 kvm. room USD 80.-. Deluxe 40 kvm. $90 and suites for $125.-. I think that’s quite reasonable for a new hotel.

Your reports are creating an interest to visit Beijing next summer. Must call Mary.

First a trip to S. Florida and Sosua in April.

I have been reading all the posts about Passion, HRC, Maggie..etc. Wanted to find if there are others. So, on my recent trip, I wanted to see where the locals would go to party. Took a cab, asked the driver and he took me to a new place.
Lakeside Rock and Roll. It is in the Chaoyang district. tel. 6592-9856.

Beijing is not a great place to get stuff tailored. There's a tailor shop called Dave's in the Kerry Centre that apparently does ok work, but I haven't use them and therefore can't say 100%. Best thing to do here is bring a sample of what you want, i.e. a shirt you had tailored somewhere else, and ask them to measure you and copy the style.

There is a place in Sanlitun, near Poachers Bar, that is great. I have been using them for two years with no problems at all. Absolutely no English at all is spoken though.

Was in Beijing again a few days ago and spent only two nights there at the Grand Hyatt. Because of the tight schedule I only managed to go out one night. Initially I wanted to try this Royal Club at the Pinganfu Hotel because I saw its advertisement in one of the in-flight magazines and it looked like a tastefully decorated place. The hotel turned out to be at most a four-star but more likely a three star hotel. The “club” was supposedly located at the basement but in fact it didn’t have a physical existence – the site was in fact a sauna of a different name (which has since escaped me). The receptionist couldn’t really explain the relationship between the club and the sauna. Since it didn’t have private rooms, I decided to try my luck elsewhere.

I went to the Oriental Cultural Hotel on Jiaodaokou, just a few blocks away. Unfortunately the sauna at the basement was closed for renovation. (I had reviewed this place early this year). So I went to Wangfujing Hotel, which was not open for business (the entire hotel has been closed since SARS days). Then I tried the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza down the street. Some one told me some time ago that it had a sauna, but again it was closed. Tough luck tonight. As a last resort I walked across the street and went to Tianlun Dynasty Hotel. The sauna there at the basement used to be my favourite but I haven’t been there for a year after it was refurbished to luxury grade and turned to “straight” massage with no funny business.

This place is no doubt the most luxurious sauna in town. The VIP suites are now much bigger than before. It consists of two sessions – the massage room has a reclining sofa and a massage bed, plus a cupboard and a TV set. The bathroom has a sauna room, a Jacuzzi and a steam shower. Everything has been beautifully done, in the latest and most fashionable style, comparable to the rooms at Grand Hyatt. It is also very expensive, 688 yuan for the first hour and 300 yuan for the second.

The manager whom I’ve known for several years paraded five girls for me to choose from. Unfortunately the selection was not as good as I had hoped for, and certainly could not compare with the occasion gems that I had discovered there over the years. Nevertheless a couple of them were somewhere between 7 and 8, and I picked one.

The experience was good but not unusual. We showered together, went on to the massage bed where she gave me a brief blowjob before I pushed her down on the sofa and mounted her. Afterwards I asked her to give me a thorough oil rub before I left. The damage was 1,000 yuan (just her tip).

To the brothers who have been to Thailand:

It occurred to Intransit during a recent visit to Maggie’s that said venue reminds him of another such bawdy house in a better known mongering city: Bangkok’s Thermae Coffee House. I would post this in the Bangkok section, but frankly unless you’ve been to Beijing and Maggie’s, the comparison is less clear.

The two resemble each in other in that both are monger meccas, and yet neither generates one cent off the backs of the girls that comes through their doors. The caveat is that Maggie’s does have Chinese waitresses that act as hostesses (although not escorts) for whom customers buy what are commonly known as ladies drinks, i.e. drinks that are priced higher than the same drink purchased by the customer for himself.

Both have hit upon a superb model: provide a gathering place for girls and their customers, and sell beverages and food to all. That’s it. It’s Starbucks for sex. By not providing any sexual services, the establishments absolve themselves of any liability for being a house of prostitution. They don’t manage the girls, so fewer staff and fewer resulting staff headaches. There’s no need to keep track of the girls, their drink tallies, who takes them out and when, and because the average purchase is rarely more than three or four drinks at a time, it’s an all-cash business that doesn’t even need to take Visa or Mastercard.

In the case of Maggie’s, the refinement of the model goes a tad further, via a lesson learned early at denizens of the Lido’s Pig & Whistle. Early mongers who picked up Mongolians met resistance when attempting to take the girls back to their rooms. However, over time the solution emerged that because both the woman and her customer were foreigners, it was little concern of the hotel’s to stop them, a resolution that would not have been possible if the girls were Chinese.

Maggie’s does the same thing. The reason that the majority of those in attendance are Mongolian is because it remains a foreigner + foreigner situation. That’s also why Maggie’s is a “membership” club. Although few are refused entrance, by stating that it is a club with a restricted membership, anyone who might cause problems for the establishment are simply turned away. By doing this, both Maggie’s and Thermae are able to ensure the political protection that they must enjoy from above in order not only to survive, but simply to exist. Most of the girls found at Thermae or Thai, although other nationalities from as far away as Nigeria find their way down there.

Each occupies a different place in their local markets. Although Maggie’s is certainly a central location both geographically and mentally, a seeming one-stop shop for sex in Beijing, it represents a seemingly much larger segment of the market than does Thermae. To many, especially non-Chinese speaking foreign visitors, Maggie’s IS the p4p market in Beijing. For the Chinese-speaking and for those more familiar with Beijing, there are opportunities such as karaokes, barbershops, saunas, streetwalkers, and outcall escorts. Still, Maggie’s as a brand and as a port of last resort still looms large.

Thermae, on the other hand, is an after-hours grab bag when the girlie bars have closed, a bargain basement for girlie bar girls who didn’t get picked up, or who got barfined but are looking for a second or third payoff for the night, for amateurs, for part-timers (i.e. college students looking for extra money), and for streetwalkers. Prostitution is tolerated in Thailand, whereas in China, it is explicitly illegal yet widespread.

My vote for superior establishment goes to Maggie's. It is a more refined business model, and in addition to that, it offers perhaps the best bartenders and the best music in town. One could easily walk into Maggie's have a drink or two, play some pool, listen to some music, and get the hell out of there without every becoming involved in what's going on around. Thermae, even for those there mongering, is gross. I picked up two girls (separately) at Thermae and they were ok at best. The only time I took anyone out of Maggie's, I was too drunk to fuck and therefore couldn't really appreciate the experience, although I am currently in the hunt to change that.

And as a final word of advice, guys, pick your women carefully at Maggie's. I realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but apparently some of you have cataracts in those eyes of yours. I saw some real dogs walking out of Maggie's last night, to the point where just looking at them dressed disgusted me. Don't let Jack Daniels or Jose Cuervo make those bedding choices for you. There's a bit of quality there, make use of it.

Maggie's Scorecard--Wednesday Night

Despite having avoided her for the early part of the evening, Fat Girl latched on to yours truly and held on for dear life. Intransit did indeed establish a certain amount of helpful information: she wasn't mistaking me for someone else; she's not pregnant (which is actually worse, because then she's just fat); and oh yeah, she's decided she likes me a lot. We also established that I'm never taking her out (even after she begged me to take her out for free; ooh, lucky me) and that the wickedly hot young lass clad in a leopard-print singlet, aka Korean Girl (although she's def. The sad part is, Maggie's was my oyster last night. Jeans Girl, Half-Shirt's sidekick Other Half-Shirt, Korean Girl, and two new entrants, White Sweater Mongolian Movie Star and Blonde Pool Player, were all on the block last night, all for the taking. However, like Rodman on a bad night, I was boxed out by Big Fat Cockblocker. This will not happen again.

Interesting observation: while 1-2 am is clearly the Golden Hour at Maggie's, 3:00 marks the beginning of the end. I saw several girls go out during Golden Hour and return between 3 and 3:30, including Nem-He, aka the Really Tall Girl that stands at the bar every night. As such, if you're expecting more than short-time, forget it, and if you're picking up late at night, i.e. after 3:30, you may not be the night's first candidate.

Interesting observation #2: Couldn't understand why some of these girls show up every night, why they haven't developed a stable of guys who call them instead of doing the nightly bar-stand. Friend of mine talked to Korean Girl (so dubbed by another friend) last night, asked her for her phone number, she wouldn't give. Maggie's Scorecard--Thursday Night

Aikido is a Japanese martial art that teaches you to use your opponents weight and momentum against them. I did this to great result last night at Maggie's.

Earlier in the day, a friend had called me that ultimate of insults: a wuss. He said I was being too cerebral about Maggie's, that it's simple. One walks up to girl, buys girl drink, talks to girl, asks if girl wants to leave. If this process is not successful, it is then repeated. I had mentioned to another friend that some girls at Mag's seemed to be unavailable. He said, "That's like saying that a can of beans at a grocery store is not available."

Wishing to clear this mental block, once again I leapt into the breach.

If I had been in prison and released without being told what day it was, I would have known it was at least Thursday upon my arrival. Crowd numbers were up, and it seemed that more girls than usual were in attendance. I took up my usual spot near the pool table to observe the proceedings.

Found out several interesting pieces of information last night by talking to one of the pool players. First of all, every woman who's heavy-set in the place seems to be a head case. This one, Grace, with whom I chatted on and off for a couple of hours while she waited her turn at the pool table, said, "I don't think you like talking to me. I think you're afraid of me." What? I'm not usually in the business of talking to people I don't want to talk to or to people of whom I'm afraid.

She did tell me, however, that the tall, slender pool-playing woman with the blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail is Chinese, from Harbin. That's interesting, I thought, considering one of the guiding principles of Maggie's is that it's foreigners on foreigners, and hence fewer complications with the law. Grace also introduced me to said girl, who didn't understand that Grace was trying to set me up with her. Another time, perhaps.

Although certainly not what I was looking for, Grace turned out to be moderately interesting. She's half-Mongolian, half-Hungarian. Her mother was a Mongolian exchange student in Budapest, met her father, when they divorced mom and kids went back to Mongolia.

After a while, I pulled myself away from the pool table. I noticed that most of the women that interested me most, including Half-Shirt, Other Half-Shirt, Korean Girl, Jeans Girl, and White Sweater Mongolian Movie Star (clad in black this time) were in attendance. This was a good sign, methinks. I thought I had waited to long to make a choice, but as we approached, hit, and passed 3 am, it was still a target-rich environment.

I strolled around the bar, and was accosted by Fat Girl from earlier posts. Please take me home, I want to go home with you, you're not leaving alone tonight because you're taking me. No no and no. Each of these negative responses drew a light but firm punch in the balls. This event was witnessed by many of the aforementioned ladies, to their amusement.

With pocket money dwindling, it was time to make a choice. I wasn't going home alone. I had no reason to. Jeans Girl (so named not for any fondness of denim, but because the first night I saw her, she was wearing a shirt that said "Jeans" on it) was out in the open, unapproached. I had been pleased to see earlier that she spent a long time chatting with some other dude who ultimately left without her. This made me think that she might actually have something to say. Near the break in the bar where the DJ panel is, Jeans Girl was standing, along with Korean Girl. We talked a bit more, and finally she said, with subtlety beyond her English ability, "So..." I said, "So." We discussed the plan for the rest of the evening, I said I wanted to leave soon. She said, "I have many condoms." Well, that settles that then.

At coat check, I run into Half-Shirt and Other Half-Shirt leaving together, alone. Another night, ladies, another night. I also ran into Fat Girl. She said, "are you leaving alone?" I said no. She said, "Who are you leaving with? Is it her?" and starts pointing to the girls standing there. I made no indication and said, "See you next time," no pun intended.

I went on to have quite a shit day, and am taking the night off from the business of the Mongolian Embassy.

Sorry I have to disagree with you comments. I have read in the past Maggie have refused entrance to BLACKS and Chinese even with with foreign passports like Hong Kong, USA, Taiwan and Canada. Basically, I have read they don't like any Chinese or BLACKS in Maggie. Even if they get inside, usually going with a foreigner, everyone at Maggie are very rude to them. It reminds me of Shanghai in the 1910’s and 1920’s. Chinese or BLACKS were not allow in many places. Foreigner owned about 75% of Shanghai at the time. They were govern by their own nation's laws. Chinese were often stoped and have to prove they have business in these areas. I think more Blacks / Chinese would go to Maggie if this membership thing was removed. How do they
know who, and who is not going to case a problem. It sounds like "racial profiling".

The excuse is that Chinese people don't go there anyways; they have Karaoke bars, barber shops, etc... That's total BS; it's making excuses for clearcut racism at work. If this is free enterprise (like what you implied on the previous posts about being able to pay whatever you want), then why the trade barrier against Chinese-looking mongerers?

Comparing Thermae to Maggie's is apples and oranges.

As a Chinese American, I can go to pretty much anywhere in Bangkok without feeling discriminated against, and that includes Thermae Cafe. It is indeed a Disneyland for guys; alot more girls than guys (can you say that about Maggie's?). The establishment doesn't care what skin color you are, and the women certainly don't care. $$ talks. And, I've never been disappointed there.

My vote is definitely for Thermae for mongering.

Guess you have to visit them a few times and leave an impression on the manager before you get the full service. Have you ever been to Maggies? If you have, then form an opinion on whether blacks or Chinese can get in. If you haven't, hold off on your opinions.

I've partied with lots of blacks at Maggies and have been to Maggies over 200 times. I've never seen a black person not gain entrance. But, I will reserve this statement to say that it could happen, but I've never seen it and i've seen alot of blacks in the club.

As for Chinese, yes they have been denied and typically get denied entrance. But, not always. I have a couple of friends that go there every once in awhile (one is local Chinese and the other is from Singapore) and they get in. I think it is more how you carry yourself and show you belong rather than a flat out exclusion.

In fact, we tested the waters about 2 months ago, I had them walk in infront of me by a few minutes to see if there was a problem. My Singapore friend had to show his passport, and my Chinese friend was let in as he was with my Singapore friend.

I have seen my fair share of asses getting kicked there by the bouncers, and all have been white asses getting kicked. Funniest one was 2 years ago, some American guy came in dresses in women's underwear and garter on the outside of his clothes with make-up. I think he lost a bet. He got trashed, then obnoxious, then thoroughly got his ass kicked inside and outside the club by the bad ass bouncers.

And to Viphawaii, all I can say is to each his own. I pesonally like Maggies better. I think the choices at Thermae are trash. A few diamonds there, but mostly old hags. Prices certainly better at Thermae, but since I'm in Beijing, oh well.

I spent the last few day in Beijing and did the Lido/Hard Rock/Maggies thing Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday night. Sorry I was unable to hook up with you, but it sounds like we were at Maggie's at the same time. The girl you describe is the infamous Zula. She is one of my All Time Favorites. You describe her to a "T", dorky - but in a very charming way. She has been working in Beijing for about 18 months now. Like most her English was no good to start, but now she speaks it really well. When she first arrived in Beijing she wore the standard slutty dresses (it was white, tight, and short), but then one day she just starting warring street clothes. As a side note - don't you think it is funny that some of these girls ware the exact same cloths every day of the week? There were definitely some black guys in attendance the last night I was there, and I have seen more and more Asian men there, including mainland guys. One guy has been sitting at the bar of late, chain-smoking and ordering champagne.

I frankly don't care who they include or exclude at Maggie's. I've been kept out of places and prevented from doing things because I'm an obvious foreigner. Oh well. As a result, I don't go to those places anymore, and as such, I'm not in the least sympathetic to anyone who is on the other end of discrimination. Go to Maggie's, don't go, doesn't matter in the least to me.

Went to Maggies since intransit's posts got me and Thunder Brother really curious.

Arrived a bit early around 11:30pm and not a lot of girls. Most arrived by 12:30. There was still way too many guys in there for the amount of girls. Out of about 15 girls, I think I would have taken 3. Didn't ask for prices though...

I noticed the Mongols have da same fat asses as Mexican girls in TJ. If Intransit compares Thermae to Maggies, I would compare it to Adelitas in TJ!

it's kind of sad that more than half the reports here center on maggie's, a place with questionable music(as I was told), and very few talents... beijing isn't that good of a place for mongering I guess...much worse than shanghai

but does anyone have the pictures of these girls(jeans girl,korean girl, halfshirt etc.)? I'm trying to figure out if maggie's is even worth a trip at all, maybe I'll go and show them my passport just to see what the fuss is all aobut before I leave disappointed

I would bet that the security at Maggie's are former PLA or People's Armed Police guys. Gangsters would not have the discipline nor the restraint to handle a situation at Maggie's. The trick is to teach a lesson without getting carried away.

Don't miss the point about my Thermae vs. Maggie's comparison: it's about the operation, not the location or what's on offer. The Den offers pay for play chicks also, that's no achievement. But Maggie's is a masterpiece of business evolution. It has perfectly balanced the wants and needs of the customer within a difficult regulatory environment.

Observation from last night: while heading towards Sanlitun up the third ring around 00:30, there were streetwalkers all over the place in the area of the Da Dong/Tuanjiehu Duck stretch of road, almost across the third ring from the Great Dragon/Zhaolong Hotel. I saw the same thing on Xiao Yun Lu, the road that heads towards the Lido Hotel from the third ring, a couple of nights ago.

Also, Beijing is supposedly cracking down in the 100 days leading up to Chinese New Year, according to a local hobbyist friend.

3 years ago, at Maggie's. This American comes in wearing some normal clothes, but has ladies bra and panties on the outside of his clothing. Wearing ladies make-up and earings, and lots of ladies stuff.
He's drunk when he gets there. Is pretty obnoxious. Banging into people on the dancefloor and getting into a couple of scuffles there.

The bouncers finally come in and start to escort him out. They take him by the arm, he starts running away and running around the bar with the bouncers chasing him. They finally catch him in the dancefloor area and begin to beat the hell out of him.
They take the bloodied idiot outside and leave him there.

He comes back in, not sure how he made it, to get his jacket and gets into a fight inside the club. The bouncers go at it again with him. He's laying on the dance floor in the fetal position with the bouncers kicking and punching him.

They proceed to carry him out and lay him in the alley. I haven't seen him around since.

I think I know the half shirt girl - her name is Erica. At first I was also put off by her attitude, but it turns out she is really sweet. She speaks only moderate English, but a nice body, very slim, and a good attitude. I had a very nice GFE with lots of cuddling, ect. I recommend her, and will see her again myself.

I have been going to Maggie's for many years now (perhaps too many), and at first I was afraid to approach the good looking girls, but now I realize that I was just being foolish. A lot of the girls at Maggie's appear to have attitude, but I thing 95% of the time it is because they do not speak very much English, and do not want to look foolish. Remember that they are just as afraide of a bad experence as we are. Most of these girls are damaged in one way or another, and they are afraid of getting stiffed or beaten up. Sure, you can walk up to just about any girl at Maggie's and say "let's go", and they will probably go with you, but you will pay full price for probably a half-guarded experience.

I never go for the short time experience, I am always after a girl for the entire night, and possibly for several days in a row, so my technique has been honed to find girls that will provide a nice GFE over the long term. For you guys that are just going to be in Beijing for a couple of days, and are showing up to Maggie's for the first time, you are not going to have the same type of experience as I do. These are the guys that often complain on this board saying that they do not understand what all of the fuss over Maggie's is about. Your best bet is to hook up with someone who knows the ropes and can give you insight on the girls who are currently in town.

That being said, you remember those guys in high school or college that always seemed to get all the girls? They had this really confidant attitude. Well, at Maggie's we are ALL these guys, no matter how old or fat. Just go in with your own attitude, and treat the girls right and you will walk away with a satisfying experience every time. If you treat them like *****s, they will preform like *****s. Maybe that's what you want, but that is not what I am after. Treat the girls like real people and you will have a much better experience.

Last time I was in town I chatted up a girl at the Pig and Whistle that I had never seen before. She was cute, and spoke good English, so I knew it was not her first time to Beijing, but I had never met her before. I saw her again latter at Maggie's, but did not go with her. Over the course of the next week whenever I saw her I would chat with her, offer to buy her a drink (she always just had water), and so on, but I did not go with her - not because there was anything wrong with her, but I just had other fish to fry. Finally, on Friday when I ran into her again at Maggie's she stuck to me like glue. Friday is a busy night for these girls, and I know she could have found work, but she was not leaving my side. She told me that for the whole week she has watched me go with other girls and this time she was not going to let some other girl "catch me". We went back to my room and had a wonderful experience, like we were long lost lovers. She didn't ask me for a penny, but I gave her money anyway because I knew that Friday is one of their main business nights. It all comes down to you get what you pay for, but the payment is not always the money you give them the next morning, it is also the investment you make in getting to know them.

It is funny, because once I started going with the girls at the top of the pecking order (you know, the ones that hang out by the DJ stand) it got easier to go with the others - I have been told by a girl before that I must be an OK guy because I always go with the beautiful girls and not the ugly ones. It kinda reminds me of that Seinfeld episode when George pretended to have a super model girlfriend in order to get into the super model parties. They all accepted him when they thought he dated one of their own.

I tried to PM you my addition to the FAQ, but it was too big. Below are my comments -

Start at the Pig and Thistle in the Holiday Inn Lido. They have a decent 2 for 1 "happy hour" from 5 to 7. The girls start rolling in around 9. You can pick up a girl early, or sit and drink until about 11, when you should head to the Hard Rock.

Optional side trip - Passion's at the Great Wall Sheraton hotel. Every taxi driver in Beijing should know where the Shearton is, just tell them "changcheng fandian" (Great Wall Hotel). Take a look in "Passions". You will have to pay a cover to get in (120 RMB), but this includes the cost of your first drink. When you walk in the door there is a bar. Sit down at the bar and get your first beer. You may not see any girls, but they are all off hiding in the shadows near the dance floor. They will get up and do a lap around the bar, or go to the bathroom, so you will get to see them all. Here you will find some of the most beautiful girls in China (all Chinese), but they will expect you to tip them at least 300RMB just for sitting and talking with you, so don't let one sit down just to be polite. They all speak good English, and most will give you there cell number to hook up with you later, but they will want 2000-3000RMB. If you have time to kill, and money to burn, pick one out, and have her sit next to you at the bar and teach you how to play the dice game. It is a nice way to kill time, and will cost you about the same prices as 2 lap dances would cost in the USA. Their ultimate goal is to get you into one of the KTV rooms, but this is again high dollar stuff. On the plus side they take credit cards, but you are looking at around 20,000 RMB, and KTV is not something you typically do by your self.

After the Pig and Thistle (or Passion's) Head to the Hard Rock Cafe. It is right next to the Great Wall Sheraton Hotel. People start showing up around 11:00 pm. You have to pay a 60RMB cover to get in every night except Wednesday, and this includes your first drink. They usually have a band playing that is not too bad. Hang around the bar. I would venture to say that 99% of the single girls there are working, and they can all speak some English. The Hard Rock is a tourist trap, so there are some regular girls, but it is easy to distinguish the pros from the straight girls. You will find Chinese, Mongolian, and some Russian girls at the Hard Rock. Talk, flirt, enjoy the view and the music. If you find a girl you like she will be happy to go with you. The girls have to pay a cover to get in every night, plus they must pay security monthly or they will be turned away at the door, so expect to pay 800RMB for them to go with you. If you want to make a friend, offer to take one of the girls from the Pig and Thistle to the Hard Rock with you. They normally cannot get in without paying the bouncers extra, but if the girl is with a Westerner she will not be turned away. Once at the Hard Rock you can ditch her if you like, she will just be happy to be in the prime hunting grounds. Between Midnight and 1:00 am everyone will head out to Maggie's.

Every taxi driver in front of the Hard Rock at midnight will know how to get to Maggie's, and it should cost you only about 15RMB to get there. At Maggie's (no cover charge here!) you will again find Chinese, Russian, and Mongolian girls. Almost all of the Chinese girls in Maggie's work for the bar - their job is to sell you drinks, and get you to buy them drinks. While it is possible to hook up with a girl who works for Maggie's, I have found it is rare. Maggie's stays open until everyone goes home. There have been times when I have walked in, found a girl, and left quickly, and other times I have not left until the sun came up. The main attraction of Maggie's is the Mongolian girls. The old joke is "what do you call a Chinese girl with tits and ass? Mongolian!" Plus, you can bring the Mongolian girls back to your hotel room late and still get them in. Just be sure and ask her if she has a valid passport. If security hassles you on your way into the hotel you can simply register her at the front desk. Expect to pay from 600RMB up, but because it is so late the girls will almost always stay the night with you.

Optional excursion:
When the taxi driver leaves the Hard Rock he will be heading north, but he will turn around under the 3rd ring road to head south. To drive by The Den have him take a right (west) at the first stop light (Dongzhimenwai dajie) The Den will be about half way down the block, on your left (South). The Den is also a nice pickup spot, mostly for Chinese working girls. Downstairs is a resturant, and upstairs a dance floor. To continue on to Maggie's he should take a left (south) at the next stop light. You will see the Workers Stadium on your left (west). Maggies is just south of the East entrance of the Workers Stadium.

I suggest Wednesday Night be deemed "beginners" night at the Hard Rock. There is not cover charge on Wednesday, and they play retro music. If you are new in town and looking for advice hang out on the stairs behind the bar. If you are an old hand and see some guy hanging out on the stairs say hello and offer to show him the ropes. Action starts around 11 pm, and runs until about 1 am when everyone goes to Maggie's.

The KTV scene for Westerners
The easiest (and most expensive) KTV is the one in Passion's, but as has been noted it can cost you upwards of $1,000US per person, so unless you have deep pockets it will not become one of your regular spots. One of the most Western friendly KTV's I visit on a regular basis is in the Yan Xiang Hotel (right across from the Holiday Inn Lido, A2 JIANG TAI RD DONG ZHI MEN W). It is a Chinese 3 star hotel, but has a nice KTV place on the 2nd floor, and a good restaurant on the 1st floor. You will not pay local prices, but they take credit cards so it is easy to turn it in as a business expense.

There are 2 major costs associated with KTV'ing - The room, and the girls. When you first arrive you will be quoted a price for "the room". This price is based upon the size of the room, but think of it as a minimum purchase - if they say it will cost 1000RMB, that means you will need to purchase at least 1000RMB worth of food/snacks and drinks. This does not include the tips for "the girls". Once you get settled the Mamasan will bring in a lineup of girls for you to choose from. If you do not find anyone you like she will probably have another group for you to choose from. I always ask the group if any of the girls speak English. Finding an English speaking girl at a KTV is rare even in Beijing (and non-existent out side of Beijing), and the Yan Xiang always seems to have a couple girls who can speak some English. A KTV Tip: Once you find a girl who speaks English it is wise to get her mobile number, that way, if you plan to go to the KTV in the future you can give her a call and she will wait for you instead of joining the line-up for other guys. I have noticed that most of my Chinese friends all have "regular" girls they call before we arrive at the KTV bar so their girl will be waiting for them. Once you have picked your girl she will wait on you, pour your drink, toast you, offer you food, ect. If you get stuck with a non-English speaker that ask to play the dice game. You can usually do this without knowing any English, and it allows you and her to drink and flirt together. I have been told that these girls expect you to do just about anything but penetrate them, so feel free to let your hands roam. The girl will typically respond to your cue - if you are bold, she will be bold, if you are shy, she will be shy.

The last few times I have been in a KTV we have played "sex games". These are actually more innocent then they sound, the kind of games you would play at parties when you were in High School, but they are still kind of fun. For example, one of the guys would be blind folded and get to feel up each of the girls and try to guess which tits belong to which girl. Or the opposite, a girl is blind folded and grabs the crotch of each guy. Most of these little games involve the girl getting naked in one capacity or another, so it can be kind of fun.

When it is time to go you will be brought your room bill. Have your Chinese buddy review it and make sure you are not getting cheated. If the place takes credit cards you can typically add the tip onto the room fee, and they will write you a receipt that says "meal" or "food" in Chinese. I have been to several KTV places in Beijing, and never tipped anyone but the Girl who sat with me (and the girls of my customers if I am entertaining them), and then a max of only 300RMB. I have been told by my Chinese friends that 100RMB minimum, 200RMB average, and 300RMB if you had a good experience. Maybe I am being too cheep, but the girls never seem to get angry or complain. I will typically buy the Mamasan a drink, but I do not give anything to the waitress. Remember that this tip does not include any take out fee - if you want the girl to go to your room you will need to negotiate this deal separately. I have never been in a KTV were there was not at least some girls that were willing to go with you. You just need to specify that this is what you want with the Mamasan before you pick your girl, and she will steer you in the right direction.

Just like everything else, I think the key to good service it to become a regular customer at some bar/KTV. The first few times you go have your Chinese buddy look over the bill and make sure you were not cheated, but once the Mamasan recognizes that you will come back, and bring other potential customers, then she will never try to cheat you. Next time I am in Beijing we can all meet at the Yan Xiang and give it a try. You will all just have to pretend you are interested in my products so I can write it off

Saunas
Sometimes when you are stuck in the middle of nowhere the only bright spot might be your hotel's "sauna". Most of the Chinese hotels will have some type of massage or sauna place down in the basement, and almost all of these places will perform extra services. These services will range from a hand job to full sex, depending on the place and the girl. Your biggest hurdle will be to convince them to service a westerner, so this is the time when you will need the help of your Chinese business partner. As him to arraign your first visit, and you can then go down whenever you want after that and negotiate on your own.

This is my first post so I apologize for the length.

I was on my way to Beijing on Sunday night and while laying over in Singapore, I went through all the recent posts. I was very intrigued with Wolf's post on the 22nd about Mary. Brief update:

3 nites in Beijing. 6 girls. Jinxxx hotel - no problems, I just tip the doorman / securityabout 20/day prior to any guest(s) arrival.

So, yesterday I came back to the bar at around 10:30pm and the doorman opened the door for me. But the reason was it was too early for the action. Daytime until late evening it's a restaurant with a stage with live performance band (playing russian songs). However, I decided to visit the Hollywood disco around the corner of the Ritan Hotel. There, I paid a ticket for RMB 40 and I was admitted to enter the place. The place looks like a cheap copy of Planet Hollywood, with an Arnold Schwarzenegger Terminator puppet. There is a big bar on the left and a dance floor on the right side of the entry.

Since it was quite early, not many clients were there. The place is thrice as big as at Maggies and I think 80% were russian and 18% mongolian women. Some chinese pros are the as well. The male clients are mostly chinese and they look mainly look like newly rich and semi-mafia styled chinese crooks. I don't know if there are a lot of foreigners there as well because I didn't stayed very long at Hollywood. There are NO strip clubs in Beijing, at least none that you can relate to being a western style strip club.

You can find some KTV's where the girls will strip down and have fun, but as far as western style strip clubs, NONE.

this is my first post ever on WSG - I am glad to be here. I have been a regular on the Shanghai BBS and freebie non-pro scene and have had my share of fun in Singapore and Malaysian "Health Centres".

What is the deal with vitamin V in China. I've heard that they have some type of equivalent or a herb something. I'm running low and won't have time to get more before I leave. Also I've read alot of questions about where the Russian girls are in Beijing but really not many answers. I saw that there are a few at Maggies and Hollywood. Are they alot more expensive and what kind of quality will I find?

When I lived in Beijing (admittedly two years ago), I was in the same situation as far as bringing girls home.

Although Tapioca says that only the SWs around the Kempinski will take you back to their apartments, I found when I was in Beijing that many others would too. It depended on where/how they were living (and I guess whether they think you look dangerous or dodgy in some way)

I met Chinese girls in the Pig & Whistle who rented apartments nearby and were happy to go back with guys, and - especially if they liked you a bit - would be keen for you to stay the night. Ditto for some of the girls at Hard Rock. Often if they weren't willing, it was because they will staying with friends/relatives who didn't entirely know what they did for a living - bringing a laowai back for the evening would rather give the game away.

Mongolian girls at Maggies/Hard Rock would also usually be willing to take you back to their place, unless there was something about the way they were living that didn't work (e.g. several girls sharing a bed). And even then sometimes: I went back to an apartment with a girl from Maggies, and after we'd done the deed, and were more or less asleep, another girl came in and plonked herself on the bed and went straight to sleep. Turned out they shared the room. The girl I'd gone back with then woke up and decided she wanted more. I have to admit I felt vaguely uncomfortable about having sex with her while her mate snored away beside us. My girl sensed this, thought it was really amusing, then suggested we move to the sofa over by the wall, which we did. She made me coffee in the morning and sang Russian and Mongolian songs while playing the guitar, while her mate got up and grumbled about business having been bad the night before. It was a memorable evening.

When you've found a girl you like, you just need to establish whether it's going to be possible to go to her place (and whether there are constraints on staying the whole night, if that's what interests you). I'd recommend sorting this out relatively early in the conversation, otherwise you could be disappointed, and she might well think you've been wasting her time.

Another issue to keep in mind is safety. I usually felt OK going back to girls' apartments in Beijing, but there is potential for problems. (But then there can be problems taking girls back to hotel rooms, too.)

Everytime I head home, I always see a lot of SWs in this area. They're always just hanging out and there are cars that just drive by and pick em up. It's at the East 3rd ring road where TGI Friday's is at. Also, the other side has some sometimes too with a bunch of shady chinese just standing around. Saw 3 there at 3:30am last night...

Also, there is another area but I'm not sure if their SWs...I just noticed a lot of girls dressed way too sluttily (is that a word?) waving cars down (non taxis). It's also East 3rd ring road by the embassies.

All - I must say that I am surprised at the reaction my post has provoked. Surprised firstly because of the nature of this board, and secondly because the weed is (technically) no more illegal than prositution in China.

FWIW (and that's nothing) when I last lived in BJ about 18 months ago I had little difficulty finding a little smoko mainly around the Sunlitan bar area, and I was wondering if the scene was the same.

Tapioca turned me on to the SW's on 3rd ring rd. None are particularly high end or sophisticated, but more like recently arrived girls from out of town.

Anyone had a good experience in any of the BBS on the road opposite the Lido hotel. Must be half a dozen either side of the traffic lights. Usually plenty of "come on" from sexy pieces in the door way but getting "cum on" after that is a battle of wits. Once inside 60 RMB massage quickly becomes 200 for an "oil massage" and then they want 300+ for HJ. Bold as brass one said you are foreigner so can afford it. Haggling in Chinese doesn't seem cut any ice good either. Take it or leave it is the attitude. They don't seem overwhelmed with customers either.

My first post will be about last night (Thursday). I was out with two friends. After dinner we went to Salsa Cabana as we heard that there is some action there. We were there around 11pm and it was very disappointing. Two girls at the bar and some normal guests at the tables. We left after few minutes.

Well, these Beijing girls really rock... Went to a place a couple night ago, unfortunately I was taken there by a friend and I don't know the name, but it is marked "Business Hotel" and it is actually a hotel, on the right hand-side of the highway that goes from the airport to the city towards Beijing. It is directly at the exit, and there is nothing else around.

Once you enter the hotel, you walk past the reception desk towards the right to the Sauna. An attendant takes your clothes and you are escorted to the shower area. Next step is tea by the indoor swimming pool and then you are taken upstairs via a private elevator to the waiting area. Eventually, you get to a room where a few girls are brought in for you to pick. Maybe 7's in looks but the technique...

Back massage with the mouth, first with a soapy liquid, then with hot water to rince, followed by front massage while the girl is moaning, mandatory compliments on your privates I guess, followed by a BBBJ and then any position you like.

Quite impressive really and certainly recommended.

After I finished yesterday's report a few hours ago, I headed to the nearby Hard Rock Cafe for dinner and dessert. Not sure if I am the only one in this situation but I am staying at the Great Wall Sheraton and taking a taxi to Maggie's, or to anywhere else for that matter, always seems to be an adventure as you need to get directions in Putongua to and from before you go.

So anyway, the HRC is next door to the Sheraton and I was there by 11:50PM (I know because they stop serving food at midnight). Sat at a table in the back and was immediately approached by a girl who asked me "do you have a girlfriend?". That was within 1 minute of being seated... She had the hooker type so I passed, 5 minutes later another one sits with me, he breath smells so bad I could barely face her. Massagi? No thanks... Finished my Club Sandwich (the food is really not great BTW) and there was the next one whom I declined too since I was eying a slim girl dancing alone by the stairs. Before I even got a chance to make a move, 2 girls were at my table asking me where I was from etc. one was cute, the other one was below average. I passed for my dancing queen, who sat with me next. That was a mistake.

Of course we were stopped by the hotel's security (even though we were holding hands etc) who said she had to register. That ticked her off and she was scared I think.

Slim body, but oh shock, huge suction cup marks all over her back. Quite a turnoff but at that point it was kind of late, I was not going to tell Jr his dessert was not good enough so he was not going to have any... She was very sweet though not remarkable. No BJ and a couple positions (only those that would keep her back out of sight). Though pretty tight, I would say she was better dancing on the stage than in bed. She left within a hour or so after a little chit chat explaining that she supports her grandmother etc...

Went to HRC last night. Had dinner and then hung out by the bar. Saw three Russians come in and hang out by the end of the bar. One had dark hair and dark skin like an Italian girl. Her name is Anna. Last night started my first tour of BJ at Passion. As stated before 120 to get in and got you the first drink. Great looking place and most of the girls around 7 to 9s; but no 10s. Local guys say that the quality of the girls has really gone down hill.

Place got busy with girls around 9:30. Girls wanted 500 to sit and talk. The place is crawling with police / security, so talking is all that is on offer. I always like to be polite, but 500 to talk - no thank you. Talked, briefly, to a few girls and got one or two numbers but asking 3 to 4k to step outside. I am sure there is significant room for negotiation, but it was time to move on.

After window shopping at Passion, met with Intransit who showed me the delights of Maggies. Girls range from 4 to 8 or 9 in looks. But in attitude they are 10 times better than Passion. The place itself is just a fantastic US style bar; great music and atmosphere. Does not start picking up until midnight to 1am. No talk or dance charge and everything else is sub 1k.

Many thanks to Intransit who pointed out the way this place works, who to avoid and who to recommend. For anyone like me who is only in town a short while, the help of a fellow local WSG member is invaluable in avoiding costly mistakes.

Followed Intransit recommendation and spent some real quality time with Zula. Highly recommended, but get a good nights sleep the night before.

Intransit thanks for helping me out. Missing BJ already.

I was in Beijing last week and stayed at the Hilton Hotel close to Lufthansa Center.

Ordered room service massage and they send up this somewhat chubby but cute Chinese girl, maybe early 20s. She gives me the 45 minute massage then asks if I want a HJ.

She asks for 600RMB and I tell her I can fuck a nice woman for that kind of money. I offer half that. She counters that she will whack the snack for me real good then leave it up to me to tip her if I liked it.

Beijing is live and well. Just walking from HRC to Lufthansa center I was approached by 6 girls. The street going rate seems to be some where abournd 300rmb to 500 rmb. Outside of HRC I was also approached by mama-san who tried to get me to go to a lady's bar. She told me that the bar is about 5 min's taxi ride. Unfortunately, I did not have the time to tried it out. The price quoted was 500rmb/pop. Has anyone tried this place?

Lido Hotel is the Holiday Inn Lido and that's like North 4th ring (towards the East end). Just tell any taxi driver "Li Du Fan Dian" and that should do it. I am curious about that bbbj and massage for 200rmb. That seems like a great deal! So it's the second one from the left?

The suction cup marks are from what is known in English as moxibustion. What looks like a giant, flaming Q-tip is placed under a bulb shaped cup to use up the oxygen within and create a vacuum. As soon as that happens, the cup is placed on the body at a strategic location. 8-12 cups are used. I believe this is done to stimulate something or draw out toxins or something like that. It's a method of traditional Chinese medicine. The downside is they leave large, round, suction-cup-like marks which appear nasty but don't hurt.

Don't try these places where they try and coax you into a taxi for a "massage" elsewhere. They are a rip-off.

When you get there they introduce you to a number of ladies.

You then select one and go into a room either for a "massage" or KTV. The prices are obscene. The lady drink prices are extremely high and when you object they put the heavies on you to pay up.

A very niave friend of mine got caught at one of these places near Sanlitan about 12 months ago and had to pay US$1000 to get out safely. He was a diplomat so he wasn't really in a position to make a big deal of it.

Give it a miss, your bank account will be thankful!

Sorry to hear that the Passion talent is going down hill. I would always recommend fellow mongers visiting Beijing to go there if they had deep pockets and wanted "The Best". I would even spoil myself there from time to time, but 3-4k is a joke. I have not tried the place in a couple of years, but I paid 1.5k for ST which to me was already over the top compared with my usual fare. Beijing has always been more expensive mongering than other parts of China, but this trend is ridiculous.

Buy a ticket and come down South my friends! You can get RT airfare and 10 pops for that kind of money.

In fact at some point after the shower you walk by the indoor pool to the elevator and there were regular hotel guests in the pool.

So I hit a bar around the old Rock and Roll disco so I could get drunk enough to get up my courage to go pick up one of the girls I saw sitting outside bars in sanlitun when I visited Beijing the previous Summer. When I got there two women were on me before I was out of the cab chantting "sex massage, we go have sex" I figured that it couldn't be worse than over paying for beer in a bar where I didn't know anyone so we got in a cab. We drove for a while and stopped at a dark group of buildings. When we went inside I was shown to a nice enough kareoke room and presented with 10 smoking girls in nice dresses, all of them 8 or 9s. One of the was a tiny hottie with huge eyes who kept saying "choose a girl" a real sex kitten. I almost went with her but choose a more classically beautiful girl with a great rack. They all left and the women who brought me asked for 100 kuai. I gave it to her and then she asked for 10 more for the cab ride back which I refused. He says if I want to go I better pay. I say there's no way and we go back and forth like this for about 5 minutes. As were shouting at eachother the room is slowly filling up with about 8 to 15 guys all trying to look appropriatly menacing. I say fuck it I'm calling the cops and this gets a big reaction and they all start saying the cops will beat me up and start hitting there palms with there fists. I say there's no way the cops will beat a foreigner and they are the one's in for a beating. They don't respond to this and then the little one askes how much I want to pay.

I say first of all he's got to get rid of the peanut gallery I won't talk in front of so many gawkers and punks. So he starts hearding everyone out including the original big guy but I say he can stay because I like him and start joking around about what a big chinese he is. Things lighten up considerably. I'm still threatening to call the cops but I offer 300 kuai for the drinks. He says that her drinks were 300 a glass and I respond that she dumped them on the floor. We go back and forth for a long long time with the mood getting lighter and more self depricating all along but I'm determined not to back down even when they say 400 kuai. No way I say 300 and that's it, now things are getting almost comic and I say what a great job they have and they start talking about how shitty it is. It's been a good 20 to 30 minutes since this arguement started and we are both sick of eachother so I agree to 400. I pull out my wallet which is one of those card holders with a clip for money and count out my last 4 hundred kuai bills. "look" I say with a half joking half pitiful smile on my face, now I don't have enough to get back to my hotel. He takes one of the hundred kuai bills and acts like he's doing something against his conscience and puts it back in my hand. Amazing!! I get out of there 600 kuai poorer and with nothing to show for it except the mongering lesson of a lifetime. This is my personal opinion and I know I'm going to get responses detailing the horrors of what happens to people who flame the underground but IMHO a foriegner should never back down in a dangerous situation. If you truly are in a dangerous situation your best defence is to not show you're afraid, (and I was very afraid, my heart starts pounding just thinking about it) and to threaten to call the cops/friends in government. It just makes sense in a country where the penalty for hurting a foriegner is death that pimps and extortionists are ten to one more likely to scare you for money than to get physical over it. I actually think the chance is a lot less than ten to one give the Chinese's survival sense of practicallity and their familiarity with reform through labor prison camps (everyone knows someone who was incarcerated during the culural revolution).

Defend yourself with confidence and the threat of making everyones life miserable including yourself. Even if it's a totally bogus threat like mine was since I didn't have a cell and had no idea where I was it puts them on the defence and they have a lot more to lose than you do. Now I've had a lot more mongering experience and can honestly say that the one time when "management" was trying to put the screws to me (a year later in Xian) and couldn't be pursuaded to be reasonable the cops came, arrested everyone in the house and I was given a vip trip back to my hotel and the card of a police captain in case I had any more troubles. But thats a story for the Xian board.

All in all I admit that I did everthing wrong in getting in to that situation but I disagree with anyone who thinks you should role over to extortionists. I admire cronin from the shenzhen board for his many excellent escapades and I hope I can someday meet up with him and his band of hunters but when he was faced with a similiar situation the demands went from 2000 kuai to 3000 to 4000. A clear statement that submitting only makes the aggressor more aggressive.

But what do I know? I'm just a punk kid.

Some of the most important information that visiting brothers require from this site is the suitability of the various hotels for "unhindered' mogering activities.

By this I mean hotels that do not have bloody security blocking you at or after 11pm.

My recent experiences:

Novotel Xingiao - USD60 night - hopeless - will definitely stop you after 11pm - I almost got into fight with security - I just brushed past them and told them to [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) off - but they still knocked on door and phoned room continually. I spoke to manager next day and told him I will never stay there again - he just shrugged his shoulders and said that is the rules.

Sheraton Great Wall - USD135 night - have been stopped more than once right on 11pm - told that girl must register - that seems ok but I consider a total pain the arse - what Mongolian girl ir Ruskie will have her passport with her.

Landmark Tower - USD70 night - also have been stopped after 11pm - have been quite forceful with security and got past them but if I had not been forceful the girl would have been out the door.

Brothers - this is most important - please post info you have on your hotel acceptability and we can all share / benefit from it. We may well see some changes also if problem hotels are boycotted and they are told why - I do this all the time.

JS, good report. It's a common tale. I've had a few similar experiences but you live and learn. First time, I was just same as you and ended up paying only for the drink that I consumed - one coke at about 30 kuai. But it took a long time and they have more time than we do (their at work, we're not!).

Second time was bad because I had sex with the girl and it was a mock police raid. But you can never be too sure. It is entirely possible that one of them really is a (bad) cop so do be careful. I really liked your idea of turning the situation in to more of a light hearted discussion because everyone then calms down a bit. If you aggrevate them, stiff penalties or not, they may just do something irrational.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I think that kind of thing will NEVER happen to me again, but hopefully, some of you out there will avoid it without having to learn the hard way.

Here I am back in China and it's almost like I never left. One thing that I have noticed is that it seems that a lot fewer internet sites are censored than before.

I don't know where you guys are staying in hotels, but the place that I'm in is about US$48/night (400RMB), all taxes included.

It's supposed to be 4 star, and based on the quality of the rooms, that seems about right. Name: Beijing Jianghe DaXia (Hotel/ Mansion).

No way! That discussion was closed after you took off your panties.

Normally I stay at either Landmark Towers or Sheraton Great Wall.

Being close to Lufthansa Centre and Hard Rock these hotels are perfect - except for getting girls upstairs after 11pm.

Electric Bike, you will find that the more star the hotel, the more they check the girls since they don't want the hotel to be seen as a bonking hotel. I find that most 3 star hotels do not check. Before you check in a hotel, ask to see the room first. They will take you up to check out a room, while there check out to see if they have a floor person sitting in the hallway. If they do then chances are they will check the girls. This have worked out great for me at least in different parts of China.

Not sure about China World, couldn't justify the cost when the Trader's is basically the same except for not in the tower. Money saved on one night would accomodate a weeks worth of mongering.

I stayed at the Great Wall Sheraton for five nights a couple of months ago. It was fine for the first four nights, including going back one night with a "friend" at about 3am. Until the last night, that is. Not sure what happened. There wasn't anything obviously different, nor was it THAT late, about 1:30am. The young guard was quite polite and seemed genuinely apologetic. He said he was under orders from his boss, so maybe there'd been an order from the hotel management (or the local security authorities) to crack down.

Oddly, just as I had manoeuvred a note into my hand and was looking for an opportunity to slip it across to him, he suddenly relented and let us get in the lift (elevator, for you north americans).

I wasn't sure what had happened. It's possible he hadn't seen what I was doing and had just by coincidence decided at that point that he'd risk letting us go up to the room. But I wondered whether he realised I was about to slip him the note and he either (a) didn't want the other guard (who was a fair way back but within visual range) to see, or (b) felt he had originally stopped us out of duty, not venality, and did not want me going away with the impression that it had all been about money.

I was in any case relieved to get up to my room (and 100 kuai richer than I thought I was going to be), but it's made me a bit wary about the Sheraton for future visits. Pity

The last few times I travelled to Beijing, staying at Kerry Centre or Regents Hotel (5 or 6 stars), it is very difficult to get girls past the security after 11:00 pm. Even if you try to bribe the guard with money.

Last week end, I found myself again in Ya Ba Lu street (not sure about the spelling) at a place called Hollywood. The disco charges 40 RMB to get in and this fee does not get you a drink. I have rarely seen any Westerner in there, mostly Chinese men.

I'm struggling with female success and need some advice.

I have been told by some of my Mongolian friends at Maggie's that the Hollywood is where a lot of them start out because it is in the Russian district, and most Mongolians also speak Russian. From what I read of your post, you're being way too formal and polite. You gotta be agressive and make clear what you want. Asking "Keyi" when the papasan used worldwide-common gestures for "you wanna bj/hj?" is not the right response. I have to agree with my fellow mongers Lucky888 and Tapioca with whom I have had the fine pleasure of hunting with in the past. They are veterans so pay attention! I will also add my two cents worth:

KTV: Not all girls in KTV go out with every customer (just there for the "sing and play in the room" tips) and many in my experience either do not do western guys (does this apply to you?) or want ridiculous money to do so. Best bet here is to tell the mamasan what you want upfront, have her bring only those girls that will go with you to select from, agree on the terms and get on with it. Waste of time to sit in a KTV room by yourself anyway. I have been in that situation myself where I have invested a few hours only to find out she does not go out. For hotels in BJ, try Asia Hotel which is just 2 mins walk from Swissotel ( Hong Kong Macau Center ) or just opposite to the Poly Theatre.

Asia Hotel charges for 650~800 RMB per room per night and the overnight internet fee ( as I remember ) is about 80 RMB. I think it's a 4 star hotel. Nice room but sometime the pale color carpet is just not my favorite...anyway

I have tried to bring girls back twice or three times and NEVER been stopped. Reason ?
