Just a comment about allergies to Latex Condoms. I don't know about China, but you can buy condoms made from stretchable plastic rather than Latex in the US.
All right you guys. I just found another way to get hookers. This is what I will call "w_hore to your door" cause they will come to your place if u paid them taxi fare. Keep in mind that the "w_hore to your door" technique is not for everyone because you will need to speak, read, and type in Chinese characters.
So I'm bored today and I decided to go to sina.com and go into the chat sessions. I go into the Beijing chat room and I see all these messages start popping up in general chat...examples are "20 yr old/from XXX city/thin, beautiful/139-xxxx-xxxx" I didn't think much of this until I was chatting girls up and the first things they would write back is "Hi, 400 for one pop/800 for the night, no bargaining. 21 Yr old College student living in Haidian district, phone number is....."
WOAH...at first, I was a little bit skeptical. But then, I started chatting some of them up and they asked for my number to call me. Naturally, I gave them my home number and 5 min. later, I got a call. I wanted to see how cheap I can do this so I found a girl that advertised for "200rmb one pop/500rmb all night".
She called me, we chatted...I gave her a place to meet me at where I lived. I didn't want to give her exact directions to my place cause that again, I was skeptical about all of this. She called me 15 min. later and I found her. I only had like 50rmb on me so I took her with me to a ATM to get some maos.
We got back to my place, had some small talk and hit the bed. CBJ, multiple positions...done in 30 min. I gave her 230rmb (15rmb each way for taxi), she thanked me and off she went. I did find out that she works at a supermarket. Makes 500rmb/month. I guess this is just a supplement...

Just check on the Sina web site (sorry all chinese again) and in the chat room there is actually sex trade. I guess it is common everywhere in the world.
The diffrent is most of the girls in Shanghai do not go out, they have their own place and price range from 400 st to 1000 over night.
In Beijing it is the other way around they will come to you place instead and the going price is a bit higher.
I try one in Wu Zong lu in Shanghai, I must say it is value for money.

Regarding sina.com and other online chatrooms,
I hope this story is appropriate to this board; all the players are in Beijing, so I think it is.
There is a downside to being able to read and type Chinese. Tapioca and Xiaoma are right, the sina rooms are very to the point and tolerant of all kinds of lifestyles. But, inspired by previous postings on this board about personals and chatrooms, I registered with asianfriendfinder.
There are definitely some women at Asianfriendfinder looking for sex, whether as freelance professionals or lonely housewives. I had a quite suggestive, but not explicit, profile up (it's free too), all in Chinese, but until yesterday I had gotten the impression that the chatrooms there and the site in general is touchy-feely, people looking for spouses. I'd been going to the Beijing room, the English room and the 30-something room.
Suddenly yesterday I was in the 30-something room, and there seemed to be an unusually large number of women there in proportion to the men, so I just said, innocently, I thought, "Ah, it's nice to be surrounded here with women." Then one of them started coming after me, "You like Chinese women? What do you like about them? What are you looking for here? What do you have to offer?" I answered at first playfully, then fairly straightforwardly that I was looking for a short-term relationship etc., and all hell broke loose.
The woman said "I think I know what you need, and I can help you. You can get a one-night stand with some money, or a friend for nothing." Or something along those lines. This is all in Chinese in front of like 30 people in a not-too-crowded chatroom. As she and I continued to try to exchange contact info, about 6 or 7 of the other chatters lit up their flamethrowers and started lambasting both of us, calling names, using filthy language, getting personal. I could see from this that her approach was highly unusual for that room and a lot of people were offended. I couldn't believe what people were saying about us, and it just got worse and worse. My feelings were getting hurt and I was trying to defend myself, but I was in the chatroom equivalent of getting beat up by a gang of thugs (most of them women, with a couple of men).
Sheesh. Anyway, I have the woman's phone number and might be contacting her soon, although she didn't have a photo. The funny thing was, over the next couple of hours, I went back to that room twice, and they were still talking about it, mostly those who were yelling at us, but also some others who thought they went too far. I got a private message from one woman who was there who apologized on behalf of the nasty ones (that hit the spot!), but I also got a "wink" from some other woman in Tianjin, who just e-mailed me her phone number and said "waiting for your call."
So, if you are at all sensitive, this is the downside of being able to read Chinese. I really feel bad for that poor woman who got burned at the stake, just for being straightforward with me. Unfortunately it had a lot to do with the fact that I'm a foreigner, and there was an ugly, xenophobic character to the "struggle session." I took my pic down from the profile (who knows what those people could do with it?), and changed my profile to a neutral "looking for friends" kind of thing.
The atmosphere at sina.com is a lot more tolerant, anyway, but there are a lot of nice girls and ladies at asianfriendfinder, and you can see their pics and full profiles.
All this stuff is new to me, and I'm afraid if I pursue it I'm going to end up like Ge You in "Cell Phone," but it certainly broke up the monotony!

Yes everything said previously about this night club is true, except that instead of being on top of the hotel it is now on the ground floor. To find it go to the right when you face reception, then through a large door into another section of the hotel then hard left after you go through the door.
120 Chinese Renminbi to get in (US$14.50)and that gets you one free beer, if you like spirits then that’s another 120 plus your beer tab. Then look out for there are girls everywhere, about ten girls to one man. I was aware from a previous post not to offer girls a drink at the bar as it will cost you another 300 renminbi. I struggled to leave the bar as there were so many girls trying to talk to you. And yes as someone said previously the place is full of beautiful Chinese girls. I eventually got to a table to have a quite drink and take in all the girls but they keep coming. I said no thanks just want to have a quiet drink, one girl said “you bad man, must be a farmer”. Almost asked her to stay with that kind of humor, but her face showed anger and annoyance so I said goodbye.
After about 5 minutes this nice girl with a great and visible cleavage combined with a slim body came up and started talking. She unlike the rest was not as pushy so I talked to her and she said she wanted 5,000 renminbi and also 500 for the bar. I said all I have left is 270, she that will do and it was gone in a flash. I said no to 5,000 so she said ok you pay me US$300 (about 2,500 renminbi) so it ended up about 3,000, which is what others said you would have to pay.
As we left passions we got her coat to hide her assets, very wise as otherwise everyone in the full lobby would be starring, with wives giving their husbands dirty looks. Then at the lift the attendant showed us to a notice saying guests have to be registered so off we go back to the concierge. She told the concierge that she forgot her id, and she said back to the lifts and she and the lift attendant started arguing in Chinese, then suddenly she grabs me and shoves me into the lift. I said what did you say? She said I will give him a tip later.

I am totally addicted to this now. It's so easy to talk and make a date with regular non-working girls. Just in about 2 hrs of work, I collected 4 numbers, called 2 of them and set up times to meet up for coffee. The other 2 wanted to go out to Bananas. It was like 1am so there was no way I was going to go out.

Today I add my 300th post to the board. It has been a pleasure to be part of this community and I look forward to my next 100.
A few topics to hit here so let's get started:
In a very surprise turnabout, Intransit broke not only his 30-day moratorium on sex but ended up in a threesome of sorts by surprise.
Earlier in the evening, I met up with a visitor from California who had pushed our dinner back an hour after he was propositioned and then scored with someone he met walking around the mall at Oriental Plaza. Who knew? Then again the presence of the Grand Hyatt could beckon such vendors.

California Guy cased the scene, then started chatting up this girl who claimed she was 24 but to me looked older. He initially said he was not interested, but after some chatting with her, I saw her put her jacket on. I said to her, in Chinese, you going home? She said, yes, I'm going home with your friend. When he returned from the men's room, I said, you're taking her, and he confirmed, stating he had been asked for and accepted a price of US$100. Pretty standard. I must say, there was one really cute girl there, she would be worth further investigation.
I went for a quick one at The Den, and dropped into a depressed state as I watched the replay of my beloved Arsenal draw in the last few minutes to Manchester United. Fucking Saha. I also confirmed that quite a sharp looking woman named Selena, who speaks excellent English and frequent's The Den's bar, is 100% on the game. I finished my Diet Coke and wandered across the street.
After a very sedate Sunday night, things at Maggie's had picked up slightly on Monday, but not by much. Some of the regulars were there, including Pants something Girl, aka Red (even my acronyms are failing me now), who just looked hotter than hell.
Most of the way through my first Diet Coke there, an old friend messaged me and asked, "Rendez-vous at St. Margaret's?" "I'm already there," I responded. 15 minutes later he was on site.
Unlike usual, where this very disciplined friend has one drink and leaves, he was in a buying mood. We did some strolling, and at some point I said to him, when Extremely Hot Girl who Keeps Her Phone in Her Pants walks out of here with someone else, I want you to kick me very hard in the ass, as that will be a physical manifestation of how I will feel and what I will want to do to myself. Sure enough, after no one talking to her all night long, Fat Guy with Glasses (no offense, optically and metabolically-challenged friend) danced with her briefly and then took her home. Of course, that could have been Big Fat Intransit, but I was holding to my moratorium (hey, a guy's gotta rest).
Friend continued to case the joint, chatting up various girls but unsatisfied with the results. I finally said to him, "Dude, you're looking for a Ming vase at a flea market." This loosened him up a bit.
We talked to Xinjiang Girl, who apparently is new to the game and very nervous. He also talked to Extremely Hot Girl who Keeps Her Phone in Her Pants sidekick, a tall girl with a great bod, bare midriff, dyed brownish blonde hair. Face is not amazing but body is. She gave him nothing but attitude, and he walked away, shaking his head. I don't understand that. My friend is in great shape and looks well below his true age, dresses well, but for whatever reason, he got nowhere with her. What are these girls looking for?
In the meantime, an ok-looking girl approached us and began to talk with us. She seemed nice enough. I was in the process of describing the American television show "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" to this friend, who had not yet seen it. He then started to tell another story. The girl looked at me and I tapped her gently to indicate, don't bail, hang in there.
It was getting late, and Friend wanted to bail one way or the other. He took another lap through but said, I don't know, I don't see this happening. I said to her, Rose, I gotta ask you: do you find the American guys here to be weird? (Disclaimer: I was born in New Jersey. I speak as an insider, not an outsider.) She said, what do you mean? I said, American guys come here and act one of two ways. They're either in your face, or they stand along the wall like they're at a high school dance. She said, yeah, I know what you mean. She said she found Europeans, especially German guys, to be much more at ease.
Intransit later came to a conclusion about this: American men are simply not comfortable, because of the society in which they are raised, talking to women directly about sex. The consequences of doing so in American society are now so significant that men simply do not know how to make small talk with a woman and then cut to the chase about leaving and beginning the evening's proceedings. Again, I say to the Brethren, these girls have heard it before. It may be your first experience with them, but basically, it's not their first experience with you.
I exited the convent shortly afterwards and made my way home. I wasn't home 15 minutes when the mobile rang. Uh-oh, I thought, maybe that's the Girlfriend, what's she up to? I answer and it's Friend. He says, dude, you wanna come over and fuck this girl with me? I said, are you drunk? What are you doing now? He indicated they were underway, and after a moment of consideration, I said, nah, you kids have fun.
Then I thought, ah, why the hell not? A text message and a return phone call later, and I was in the shower, preparing for action. After all, one has to live one's sex life like a member of the Special Forces, ready for action at any time. I locked and loaded and headed out the door.
Upon arrival, Friend and Girl were already underway. Not having ever been a chef at a spitroast before, I was unsure how to approach the situation, especially given the presence of another erect penis. When I entered the bedchamber, Friend stepped out to give us time to "introduce" ourselves, re-emerging after I reserved a table for two at the Y. Her moaning brought him back in.
She brought a halt to his advance, saying, you go sit in there. I want to come. Laughing, Friend said to me, well, that's the last time I ever invite you over!
He closed the door and we continued, a good time being had by the two of us, at least. She definitely would not have been my choice but she was fine nonetheless. The ending was happy for Friend and her later on, he said. I believe she goes by the name of Aruna or Iruna, and cost me and Friend each 400 RMB, not a bad deal. She's tall and has curly hair, not much in the way of tits, good attitude though.
On to other topics: Johnny Jets, for a girl that gave you a cbj and totally fake noises, I think you overpaid, and that comes from Intransit, who doesn't usually sweat a few hundred RMB here and there. US$300, I hope she looked like an actress.
One other issue I wish to address before closing out the Triple Century. The other night I saw an incident at Maggie's that displeased me greatly. A male customer, who was clearly drunk, and this was early in the evening, approached a girl at coat check. He grabbed her hard by her hair at the back of the head, pointed his finger in her face, and said "Don't ever do that to me." Seeing that she had just arrived, I'm not sure what it is that she could have done. He then let her go quite harshly.
Brothers, and I hope I am not alone in this, this kind of behavior is simply unacceptable. This applies not only to Maggie's, but to all such establishments. What goes on between two consenting adults is their business, but the operative word is consenting. You and the lady want to have a drink, make small talk, and agree to leave, that's fine. You talk, one of you isn't crazy about the other, that's fine too, you walk away. Things don't work out the way you expected, well, that happens too. But I can assure you that there will be no physical mistreatment of women on Intransit's watch. If I see anyone hurting any of the girls, you will reckon with me, without exception or hesitation. If you need to get your rocks off by hurting somebody else, come give Intransit a try, I'll even put on a dress for you. More so than other places, Maggie's works because everyone knows the game and almost everyone plays by the rules. Let's keep it that way.

Intransit was back at it again last night.
Intransit had the pleasure of meeting our member Mao Dun (and special guest) last night. That was a very nice surprise. They pegged the Intransit Corner perfectly and awaited my arrival from a stroll around the bar.
Increasingly, I'm impressed at the quality I'm seeing at Henry J. Bean's. My eye is now firmly on Xinjiang Girl. We damn near stared at each other last night, but as I was trying to facilitate a friend succeeding with Black, also known as Amo, a very friendly, very pretty Mongolian woman, I couldn't really pick up and go. I was also sick, exhausted, and unshaven. Will be hitting the Deep Purple show tonight, and then in the tradition of sex and rock n'roll (I don't do drugs), may be having XJG around for some yang rou chuan'r.
To be honest, I was a tad dumbfounded last night. Xinjiang Girl did her same routine as the night before: sat alone, aloof, etc. Then some older guy strolls up and talks to her, dances with her for 10 or 15 minutes, then they leave.
Last night was a night of interesting recon, although not necessarily by me. I can't take her because my dear Central Asian Girl is returning next week and will be occupying the same square meter of floor space in the Hot Corner, and that's just too tense. If you were there last night, she was wearing a clean white top with a white bra visible underneath. It was not a half-shirt. Blue jeans finished out her attire.
Intransit and the very charming hostess Tina are getting along swimmingly. She doesn't work every night and I'm looking forward to taking her out on a legit date in the very near future. "Visa application rules altered for US visitors
China has changed visa procedures for US citizens after being unable to stop that country from fingerprinting most Chinese visitors, sources with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Tuesday.
US citizens with diplomatic or service passports will now have to apply and pay fees for common visas when planning private visits to China, sources said.
At the same time, the Chinese Embassy in the United States will hold interviews with some of the US citizens before issuing visas.
Moreover, all US citizens visiting China will not be able to apply for port visas, but will have instead to complete visa applications at home, sources said. "
The good thing is that this does not change the nature or length of visas that Americans are able to obtain. Hong Kong is still the best place to get long, hassle-free visas, and itself requires no visa for US passport holders. For me information on China visas, PM Intransit.

I have read the field reports, especially about Maggie's, with some interest, but now I am in Beijing and hoping for some guidance from the more seasoned. I am familiar with the thailand scene, but Beijing seems a tougher nut to crack, especially for those without the language skills (like me). If anyone would be willing to share their experience, please PM me.

I plan to celebrate Midnight Mass at St. Margret's on Friday, and if that means I have to do a little recon for my friend Intransit, then a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do!
To follow up on Intransits comments about American men (of which I am guilty) when I first started hanging around Maggie's I was one of those guys that just stood around, sipped my beer, and hope one of the girls would approach me. The problem was, only the real hard-up girls will actually approach men. It seems the confident, good looking ones wait for the men to approach them.
Now I chat up every girl I can. As Intransit has pointed out, the more you get to know them before you take them home the better you can judge their performance before it is too late! I have found that all of the girls there are approachable. The ones that seem aloof just don't speak good English and don't want to look stupid.
As far as conversation goes, none of them want to be though of (or treated) as prostitutes. Talk to them like any girl normal girl. Ask them about their family (it seems they all have lots of brothers and sisters), or what they studied in school, or even the music. If you are really adventurous order a lonely planet Mongolian travel dictionary from Amazon. I use to buy several dictionaries before I returned to China and then give them to the girls so they could learn better English. It was always appreciated.
At the same time, don't waste some girls time talking to her all night if you don't plan on taking her home. They are trying to make a living, and remember you could be keeping her from a potential customer. There have been times when I have talked with a girl for an hour or so with every intention of taking her home, and then one of my favorites walks in. I will usually give her a few hundred RMB and thank her for talking with me, instead of just ditching her out right.
I guess it comes down to how much time you expect to spend in Beijing, or Maggie's for that matter. If you are on your one and only visit to China you may be able to get away with a scorched Earth policy, BUT when you come back (and you will come back) the girls will remember you as a cheap bastard and avoid you. Sure, new girls come to Beijing every week, but I personally know several girls that have been hanging out at Maggie's for 5 years or more. These girls quickly let the new girls know which guys are nice, and which guys are *******es. Hint: being know as a nice guy will ALWAYS get you better service at better prices (I would hope that everyone would already know this, but alas it does not seem so).
You may be reading this post and saying - "I would never become a regular, I would just stop by once or twice, pick up a girl, and then never go back." I told myself that 8 years ago. Trust me - Maggie's is addictive.
While Intransit has his corner in the back, I am typically the fat guy you see behind the bar bugging the DJ to play music from the '80s. If you see me give me a shout and I'll do my best to point you in the right direction, amd maybe even buy you a beer!

Hello guys,
This is my first post, so I'll try to introduce myself as best I can. I've been reading the post in this forum for a few days now.
I've been living in Beijing for over a year now, not on an expat - package, so I guess my funds level isn't high at all.
Anyway, I'm not new to the P4P scene, although usually I do prefer the non-pros.
My non-pro situation: let's see:
1. Long-time relationship with a girl, almost a year now (wow). She's great, I won't be reporting on her because I do have deep feelings here. Well, just so I don't appear too dry - she is the best bed experience I've ever had. Actually between nights 2 and 3 I had to head to Tianjin to a trade show for 2 days.

These are excellent questions.
Maggie's is still extremely popular with the Marines, they get a discount there. The Mongolians have very mixed reactions to them--some of them really like the Marines and some of the women avoid them.
There was a time when not just the Marines, but all embassy employees had a no-fraternization rule, but that has been relaxed significantly, and some of the Marines even have regular Chinese girlfriends. I personally don't think this is such a great idea, but then again, I don't give a shit either.

Are you talking about the Beijing Language and Culture University in Wudaokou? If so, there are a few reasonably priced hotels in walking distance, their names escape me but you can book rooms online at discount prices at ctrip.com, they divide cities up into districts, so you can look around your area at places in different price ranges.
As to whether they are girl-friendly, I'm not sure, as judging from this forum the Zhongguancun/Wudaokou area is not exactly a hot spot for the game, and that could go either way. However I have seen on the above mentioned sina chatrooms that there are working girls advertising that they are "in Haidian," which to me implies they can do incall service (I mean at their place).

Also visited Chaoyang Rd and 5th Ring Road tonight. Be careful if you are going by taxi, and ask for Er Wai - you could end up a long way past the 5RR.
I live in the eastern part of BJ, so the taxi was only about 15 each way.
To describe these places as BBS is, I think, rather generous. They reminded me more of the window ladies in Amsterdam.
There are places both before and after 5RR, and you cannot mistake them for a legitimate BBS. I estimate there must be about 20 shops in total.
Went for a walk along the southern side of Chaoyang Lu. 4 or 5 places with a girl or two in the door of each. Nothing above 7, and average more like 4.

Just back from a further trip to the 5th Ring Road. I looks a bit different during the day. and I could see that there are a lot more "shops".
Tried a couple of different ones from Thursday night. One older, skanky looking woman (about a 6) wouldn't budge from Rmb200, and neither would I come up from 150, so I left. As my post said, you would take the Airport expressway WEST (away from the airport).
Just as you pass Dongsanhuan, you will be on surface streets (not expressway anymore). You will drive about 1km (continuing west) and you will be passing a park on the north side of the street that you are driving on.
Go past the first large street (sorry, forgot the name) and go two short blocks. turn right and you'll see 4 or 5 shops there. Also, there are 4 or 5 on the first street as you go north also.

From China World, drive east on Jianguomenwai. After you pass SOHO (Xiandaicheng) by a couple of blocks, you will note an intriguing looking place on the south side of the street, sort of a combination restaurant, motel, sauna, ktv, something, in fact, i could only refer to as a roadhouse. The place is called something like the "Golden Apple."
The sauna is clean, good quality, not crowded. Prices are standard (450RMB for massage plus). Can't verify FS or not.
If you're looking for something lower-end but higher-threshhold, there's a very very small sauna just south of the Avic Hotel on the Third Ring Road access road, east side of street. If you're heading south, just cross the river and make a left down a small street. The small place will be on your right. It will probably be advertised as a foot-massage place.

Was in Beijing 2 weeks ago.

I think you are on the right track here vis-a-vis HJ prices. The place I usually go to is something like RMB 350 and if there is a group you can get a discount! I've also been offered discounts at other places also, but you need to have some Chinese language skills to kick back and shoot the shit with the manager. Quite frankly, I would avoid anything around Oriental Plaza, but just my personal preference.

We interrupt South Gate's tale of terror and intrigue (this is only light mockery, your concerns are legitimate) to report on a district I'm sure most of you die-hards are well familiar with: the strip of small but clean BBSs that are down the street from the Lido Hotel.
You drive north on Jingshun Lu and make a right after the Lido. You will be going east on Jingtai Lu. On the left (north) side of the street, just before Beijing United Hospital (south) you will see 3 or 4 BBSs. I tried one last week; very clean, good, friendly service, a girl from Xi'an. Gave a decent oil massage in the buff and then finished the job. Was 200 kuai total without bargaining. Probably offer more for those who are interested.

I went on an extended tour around China the last couple of weeks with a three-day visit to Beijing during the week of April 12 followed by three days in Shanghai and two days in Shenzhen the following week. I’ll have separate reports for the latter two cities posted in their respective sections later.
In Beijing I tried the newly opened Junwangfu Hotel on Chaoyang Park South Avenue. It’s a very nice hotel with a huge landscaped garden (and a small lake right in the middle) and about 20-odd traditional-styled rooms in the garden. While the rooms are nicely appointed they are not equipped for business travelers (no long distance service, let alone Internet access!) There is also a two-storey building with again some 20-odd rooms or so. During my stay I never met any fellow guests though I was told the occupancy rate was not bad. Being a traditional style hotel you don’t even get you own keys. Every time you leave or return to the hotel you have to inform the front desk and a maid will lock up or open the door for you.
Despite this inconvenience I brought my temporary girl friend Wang Qi (who used to work at the Bamboo Garden Hotel, as reviewed last time in early March) back on my first night there shortly after 9pm. No one bothered me with any registration or any other form of hassles throughout the night. Perhaps I got in early enough, I don’t know.

Sauna "Oriental Palace":
This place has been mentioned here a few times recently. Location is opposite of the World Trade Centre/China World Hotel, in a small lane going off the 3rd ring road. There is a big neon sign (in Chinese) right at the main road, leading the way.
The facilities are good and it's clean. FS is available for 1300. The manager will ask you what you want. I haven't actually checked if he speaks any English, but I doubt it. But it shouldn't be a problem. Other services for less money are available too. I guess it's tui you and HJ. Services provided by the girls have always been very good when I was there.
VIP rooms are available for 1600. They are bigger than the regular rooms, have bigger beds, a TV, and have their own shower attached. But I don't recommend the VIP room, as the only difference in service is a, more often than not, uninspired 5 minutes shower with the girl. And by that time you might have had a shower already in the sauna area. Not worth the additional 300. The regular rooms are good enough. If you don't speak Chinese, make it clear that you want to go upstairs where the regular rooms are. The VIP rooms are located on the ground floor.
If you go for FS, other services like a rub down in the sauna area (careful, provided by a man!) or a foot massage in the resting area are provided free of charge. The foot massage is very good.
The manager is a bit of a pest though, always trying to sell the VIP room, and also asking for tips. For himself, that is. He had the cheek to tell me "don't tip the girl, tip me".

It is very common for married men in HK to rent a relatively inexpensive apartment for their mistress in Shenzhen. You can do the same if you really want for your Dong Bei girl. Apartments in Beijing can be rented very easily for less than 2,000rmb per month depending on how nice an apartment you want.
I agree that it will be difficult for her to keep her distance if you hire her to be around all the time as your ayi. I think she will definitely develop an attachment to you and the day you have to let her go she will be pretty traumatized.
In HK it is an old and developed concept which is very much understood that the woman is a concubine, nothing more. Up here in Beijing, girls from the countryside may not quite get the concept, or accept it.

Question: In Shanghai there are massage shops (not saunas), where you can get a good, hard massage, plus tui you (push oil), plus HJ. All in a clean environment with at least semi-privacy. Typical is a 90 minutes session, of which 60 minutes is massage and 30 minutes hanky-panky. Price normally RMB 100 per hour for the shop, and 200 tip for the girl. FS not normally offered in those places.

Advice sought: I have two days that I can spend in China as a side trip from a business trip to Kyoto. I was thinking of either Hong Kong or Beijing, as I have never been to either location, and it would be easy to explain to the folks back home why a few days of tourism would be reasonable.

I just re-read it, and it all still seems relevant. In each of these places (Pig, Hard Rock, Passions, and Maggies) the girls do not expect you to speak anything but English.
Of course, I love Hong Kong too. The advantage is everyone (taxi drivers, restaurant staff, ect) will speak English, and you will find Chinese, Thai, and Philippine girls, with a few Mongolians. You do not need a visa for HK. and you do need one for China. Yes, the girls may be a bit more expensive but HK and Kowloon are small and easy to get around. English is common.
If you want to have an enjoyable day, take the jet ferry to Macau and do one of the parlor packages. In addition to a nice massage with all services, you get a boat ride through some of the most famous waters in the world. You can nalso hit the Macau casinos if that is you idea of a fun way to spend money.
Whenever I am in HK, I stay Kowloon side in either Holiday Inn Golden Mile or New World Reni. The Hyatt is also good.
If you stay in Holiday Inn, you can do you shopping downstairs at Hari's bar. See my reports from Feb/March. Some nights Hari's look like it needs a visit from the Orkin man, but you can still find nice entertainment for a reasonable price. Advantage -- English is spoken.
If you don't like the house selection, just walk out the front door onto Nathan St. and you will easily find the SW of your dreams.
Hyatt used to have action in the bar but I have not been there recently so I cannot comment.
Performance enhancing pharma are available at Regent Drugs Store in New World Center - A short walk from either hotel.
A short walk away is Lotus Sauna. Another nice mid-day tension and fluid reliever.
I do not stay on the HK side so I cannot help.

See Just Me's postings on March 3 and 11 about the sauna 2km south of China World (Guomao) on the southern end of third ring east, and the place across third ring north from IKEA. I think someone wrote up the latter as being pretty much everything you ask for here, although I'm not sure whether you would consider the price (what was it, 1500-1600RMB?) "reasonable." Someone in January posted that "the sauna across from the IKEA was shut down by the police," but since people wrote it up rather vividly later on, I think it's worth looking into. Maybe there is more than one place there. I definitely want to try one of these places soon.

The place that is 2km south of Guomao is FS for 900 rmb, plus the entrance which I think is about 150rmb.
The place across from Ikea is HJ only. You will get the girl topless, never naked (at least for me) and is definitely not FS. You can get their phone numbers and they will meet you outside, but not sure if you'll get FS as I've never tried.

I live on the west side of town. I have not been too active in the past two weeks since I found my 18 year old Changchun princess who is now my ayi. However, I have noted three streets on the west side that have not been mentioned here where one can obtain HJ and BJ and possibly FS.

Anyway, this place is very basic and it is good if you need a quick and sure thing. I went in the middle of the day and they only had two girls, both average looking. Papasan told me they have many more in the evening. I only had time to go once, but definately worth checking out again.
You know the thing that bothers me about saunas, both here and Hong Kong is that you are not allowed to bring anything into the massage(I.E. condom). You have to stick everything into the locker. I have received some very informative messages from WSG members about my last query: i.e., Beijing vs. Hong Kong for a non Chinese speaking first timer. I have decided to try Beijing first, because the women are easy to find and a bit less business oriented than in Hong Kong (which was obviously an outstanding choice as well). I only have three nights/two days to spend in China before I go to my business meeting in Japan, so a hotel mishap would be disasterous. Thus, I have a question to experienced Beijing travelers.
I gather from the postings on the board (as well as the emails I have received) that the best hotel for unrepentent mongerers like me is China World. China World appears to be the type of place I can bring a girl anytime of the day or night without the worry of being stopped by a guard. Plus, there are girls for mongering activities close by. But, China World is expensive. Are there any less expensive alternative hotels that are guaranteed girl friendly, 24/7? If not, I will pay the big bucks!
Finally, are there any days of the week that are particularly difficult for an inspired mongerer? In particular, is Sunday night a problem? I still have some time to re arrange my flight schedule.

A friend recently stayed at the Gloria Plaza, he selected a SW from the east third ring road opposite Sheraton in a taxi and had no problems getting her into the room.
Its really hard to say what hotel is girl friendly as this changes quickly. But its important that you look confident and RELAXED (the girl is your GF) when you bring the girl back to your room, especially after 11pm. If you are challanged by the guard then tell him politely not to interfer with your personal affairs.
But I have heard sometimes in Maggies that some hotels are no goers, again this list changes, a few months ago the Toronto Jin Lun was one of these unfriendly places.

I stayed at Sheraton in BJ recently. Passions is there, but has a 120RMB entry fee, so I did no more than take a quick (accompanied) look around to scope it out, then left. There were some pretty ladies around, but other reports in this section have suggested that they are quite expensive and some may not be available at any price.
Hard Rock, said to be another place to shop for ladies, is also close by, and in the evening shopping hours they have an entry fee (60RMB if memory serves, a previous reports said one of the evenings, Wednesday?, is free). I did not go in.
If you stroll from Sheraton/Hard Rock towards the Hilton (north?), along that sidewalk there are a few ladies, but this time they seemed old, worn out, unattractive. On a previous visit there were some there that were good enough. Near the entrance of Sheraton/Landmark there was a group of 4 ladies, probably late 20s, that were good enough. The one I talked to was asking 800RMB, which I think is pricey for SW here, maybe she could be talked down. I took her phone number "just in case" but did not use it.
On a previous visit, reported in March, I met Fu Lin in the Traders Hotel lobby. She is early 30s, not classically beautiful, but has a nice enough body (prominent vertical scar on lower belly). Southgate, I tried putting an ad in That's BJ as well. I got more than a dozen responses, of which most did not reply to my reply to their email. I met four of the ladies.
I called one who had kept emails short, and suggested I simply caller her to talk on the phone. When I did, I suggested meeting in the lobby, but she wanted to meet me in my room. I see that all six of your postings are asking for information only. I'd like to ask you to start by reading previous postings rather than just asking, and to give back value to the forum by writing reports that provide detailed info to others. A small investment of your time will give you all the info you need to have fun. This forum is intended for give-and-take information, not just posting questions.
I had no trouble with Sheraton, but my lady made her way up to the room without me, and it was during the day. My sense is that Sheraton is reasonably girl-friendly.
Traders is not as girl-friendly. They ask the girls to register before they come up to your room, and there are invasive elevator attendants. That didn't keep the same lady from knocking on my door when I stayed there in March.

In my experience Shangrilia hotels in China are never girl friendly. Shertaton, Hilton and Holiday Inn are normally OK.
But the rule of thumb in this matter is that rules can change very quickly. Several years ago a foreign businessman was killed in his hotel roomin Beijing, for months after that NO GIRLS could enter any hotel room in Beijing unless registered.

Incredible numbers of SW's these days. It was about midnight yesterday evening, by CD Cafe, just south of the Hard Rock Cafe, three active SW's were soliciting people in cars as they drove by. Where? One of the place, as mentioned in this ad, is the magazines. Either Thats or City Weekend, or from the yahoo chat room or you can also find it from placing your free ad into one of the matchmaker webpage.

Travel Report – May 13 to 22
I have now been back 6 days and finally recovered from the twelve-hour time difference.
I’ll apologize in advance for the cryptic nature of my writing; I’m trying to provide information without taking the time necessary to provide good narrative.
The WSG is my main resource for gathering information on first time travel destinations, and this is directed more at newbies, like myself, rather than old-time BJ hands.

Ok, back to Passions; I really enjoyed the atmosphere there, the excitement of being surrounded by so much eye-candy and the knowledge that it was all available for tasting, it gets the blood flowing in the right direction (turns out the “all” is incorrect and a significant number of these girls are only there to make money talking and dancing). Since over night was out of the question, I decided to collect numbers for some future afternoon delight. Anything to help the stats, Intransit.
Visited the west end of the Airport Expressway yesterday afternoon. Easiest directions I can give are - first right past the big bus station. Just folow the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) signs.
There were a number of obvious shops and invitations in that street, but I kept going about 100m, and took the first street left. Again, several shops. I turned left again about 200m along, and went into a reasonably clean place over the road from a stinking open canal. Reasonable HJ, but no BJ or FS. Rmb250 (too expensive, but I was exploring).
Then headed back down the 1st left turn street, and made an interesting discovery. Crossed over the street from the bus station, and kept walking. This is probably a bit confusing by now, but to restate, turn right just past the bus station, and take the first right.
50m along the street there were a number of slutty looking women just sitting outside houses (hutongs), calling me over. There was no doubting what they were on about, but I had already shot my load, so wasn't able to indulge any further.
Also interesting, another 100m along the same street was a police station!

Having lived in or travelled to places like Tokyo, Taipei and Bangkok, I'm aware of the convenience of what are sometimes called "love hotels" (in Japan) or "short time hotels" (in BKK). When I lived in Beijing a few years ago, there didn't seem to be any such establishments there (but I never really tried to find out, as I didn't really need to).
Do they exist there now? Or has anyone tried and been able to rent a room in a cheapish hotel for "short time"? Any info would be welcomed.
(The reason I ask is because I'll be in Beijing later in the month, but "accompanied", and staying with work people. I may or may not get to Maggies for old time's sake, but I do want to see an old friend from there. She doesn't hang out at Maggies any more, and I get the impression it might not be convenient to see her where she's staying. That wouldn't be a problem in the cities I mentioned above, but in Beijing??)

You've identified a thorny problem here: where's a brother to go for some short-term fun if his hotel room or residence is not suitable. Why doesn't the genius of Taipei's "VTV" exist in Beijing?
Rest assured, there are a couple of options.
Option one is finding a cheap hotel or "bin guan", which are ubiquitous in Beijing. These are places that will run you 200 - 400 kuai for a night, in which case just go there and check in for the night but leave after you've done your business. Nobody will ask why as long as you're paying. WHen you check into these places, you do not necessarily want your companion standing around the front desk with you, because the front desk will then ask for IDs from both of you.
Also, some nicer hotels have "half-day" rates if you leave before 7 or 8pm.
Option two I found to be less of a hassle: the sauna. The great secret is that saunas with private rooms are not merely meant for mongerers like us in search of FS. The truth is that the private rooms mostly exist for couples who are trying to steal some private time away from the crowds. A private room at a decent sauna will run you maybe 40 kuai/hour, and then add your sauna fee of 20 or so kuai. You'll receive complimentary tea and you'll have a TV. The other obvious advantage is that you both get to clean up before getting down and dirty. I've taken freebies to these kinds of places on multiple occassions and it's a very solid way to go. Your partner may be a little nervous at first, depending on their experience, because many people believe saunas to be associated with crime, but in truth there's nothing to worry about.

My trip to SH and Beijing was not quite all it could have been as my lodgings in Beijing did not seem guest friendly. I plan to return asap and I am sure many would like to have information on where to stay, without the mixed results you get from a keyword search.
I would like to start a list of hotels, service apartments, guesthouses or short time rooms anywhere in the PRC. This list I will provide to members through the PM system.

OK... finally tried out the sauna place by the Redhouse again...
You can have a "hong kong" style massage for rmb120, a "thai" massage for rmb160 and then the "special" massage for rmb480. Tried the special. My masseuse was decent looking, a little too thin but had a nice rack. The massage itself was actually pretty good. The "special" service was skillfully done and i was able to massage her fine breasts which were incredibly firm! At one point i thought they may have been fake! Haha. However, that's as far as i got in terms of the touching.

I was just south of Sanlitun south bar street this evening, and all the SW's were gone. There was some kind of sweep or something because there were "rent-a-cops" with axe handles in groups. Any one can provide some details of the Oriental Pearl KTV across the Street from Tian Lun Hotel in Wangfujing? Price? Quality of girls? Type of experience? Am in Beijing on business again and staying at the Hyatt. There are some posts about that place but no details.

1. I will be staying at the Beijing International Hotel - is this a hotel that will cause me any problems if I try to take girls back? I therefore support the post that calls for a regularly updated hotel list.

I can strongly recommend the massage center at the Beijing Grandview Garden Hotel, 88 Nancaiyuan St. The girls are attractive and just great, without getting too specific.
In my recent travels around China, I found that women were easy to come by. In most cities, you see the "barber shops" with pinkish glass doors and a barber pole. On entering, you will typically be grabbed by the girls and man-handled into a partitioned stall, where they seem to want maybe $6 for a handjob and perhaps $50 for everything. This was good for comic relief, but I never stayed in these places.
Also, in China you may encounter an anatomical mismatch which complicates things if the girl has not prepped you orally, and has fussed a long time with an undersized rubber. The girls are usually beautiful, sweet, and eager, but I had trouble in circumstances like these.

My understanding (from reports) is that the Beijing International is NOT girl-friendly, although I am happy to be corrected.
If you are sensible and cautious, and don't get caught up with a tout wanting to take you to a KTV, mongering in Beijing is a pleasurable, low risk activity. Read more of the posts.
Suggest you negotiate in Rmb. If you go in US$, they will generally want 100, because it is a nice round number. Depending on what you want, and where you go, you should be able to get FS for Rmb4-500 (maybe lower) - from a SW around Guo Mao (World Trade Centre), or 6 - 800 from somewhere like Henry Beans or Maggies.

I must agree with Intransit. Sunday night at Maggies is truly the best night. The girl-to-guy ratio is very favorable, and the place is not overly crowded. The girls have either already made good money on Friday and Saturday, so they will not be as strict on price, or they did not do any business on Friday and Saturday and are desparate. Either way, we come out ahead!

Police should turn a blind eye to prostitution, says academic

A mainland sociologist who has spent seven years researching prostitution trends across the country is urging the government to legalise the industry.
At the very least, police and officials should turn a blind eye to prostitution, said Pan Suiming , a sociologist from the Renmin University of China in Beijing.
"The biggest problem in the sex industry is the banning policy. I hope this policy will be changed," said Professor Pan.
He said that because prostitution was illegal, pimps and triads were able to run the trade and control the women. Prostitutes, obliged to keep a low profile to avoid arrest, were forced to work with pimps and crime gangs to help them find clients.
"Under the current underground system, if these people treat the girls violently, they cannot go to the police because they are afraid of getting arrested or fined," he said.
He added that if prostitutes could work alone, free from the control of pimps, it would result in a decrease in the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.
"Often when a pimp finds a client for a girl, she will be obliged to have sex with him regardless of whether he wears a condom or not," he said.
"But if the girls were able to work independently, they could refuse to sleep with men who do not wear condoms, so the rates of sexually transmitted diseases and Aids would certainly drop."
Ideally, Professor Pan would like to see prostitution legalised on the mainland, but thought it would be "absolutely impossible" under the current political system.
Instead, he recommended that police take the pragmatic step of simply ignoring the prostitution industry.
The 54-year-old academic has been conducting his study with a team of seven researchers.
He said they had analysed 13 red-light districts in the Pearl River Delta, Sichuan province and in two northeastern provinces. In total, they interviewed 700 prostitutes and pimps, he said.
Professor Pan said that through his research, many of the women working in the sex industry considered him a friend.
"One madam in Guangdong even asked me to marry her. I gave her some advice on life and she considers me a sincere friend with a high level of education," Professor Pan said.

I've also been turned down. They just want to minimise the number of chinese in there but if you are with white guys then it's very unlikely (never for me) that they will stop you because they know it looks bad, even if they prefer you don't go in.

Stuck here in the US of A now and boy do I miss Maggies and the Mongolian women. I have been frequenting Maggies for over 3 years now and some of the best women I have ever met in my life have been Mongolians I met in either Maggies or at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Speaking of Mongolians, has anybody seen a tall Mongolian named Sara recently? (Her Mongolian name is Altantsetseg). She usually hangs at the pool table in Maggies and plays pool. Tall, on the thin side, with a striking face. She has been a Maggies regular for 3 years or so. I am actually looking for a friend of hers that went by the name of Janara (Kazakh-Mongolian) who mainly frequented the Hard Rock Cafe, but thought Sara might know how to track Janara down.
I usually stay at the Yu Yang Hotel and have never, ever had any problem bringing a girl in there with me even at 2 AM. Just walk in like you know what you are doing.
For you gents living in Beijing and able to frequent Maggies regularly, enjoy it while you are there. The next best thing in the States is Asian Massage Parlors, staffed by Koreans, in the Washington, DC area.
