I'm not sure what happened there. Perhaps the Bule crossed the line, perhaps the girl overreacted. Regardless, Stadium can be a dangerous place. There have been more altercations there than anywhere else I know of in Jakarta.I am sure this guy dont know how to behave, he shouldnt do that in public, specially in stadium and not all girl in Jakarta is *****.

Few months back, when i 1st time visit Stadium. I never enjoy a single second at this place, the surounding crowd is scary, I been forced to stay an hour at that place bcoz of a fren birthday, and i keep mumbling my partner to leave this place every minute of the single hour..

DaijekStadium is a place when jakarta people play hard after work hard, they trying to stretch their muscles. And, yes, stadium very dangerous for a person who cant behaved, its about respect. Its a place full of sensitive people, when they using EEEasy.

Have to stay at this location due to work. I hear that there is the HAI LAI International Night Club and the Copacabana Spa massage & relaxing service. How is this nite club for finding girls and is this a high end spa or a place that extras can be found. I cruised throught some back reports but didnt see anything on this area I am staying. I look forward to any help.

Well, I finally got a chance to check out the infamous '4 floors of *****s' at Orchard Towers in S'Pore. Man, don't ever take Jakarta for granted. I went with a fellow monger (I am assuming) that I met at my hotel. We started off at a place called Crazy Horse, and were immediately set upon by a pair of tall, attractive girls who began ordering drinks for themselves (on our tab of course). After a few minutes, "my" girl mentioned that for the small sum of 350 Sing dollars, she could be mine for the night. After I was done laughing, she offered herself for 200. I waved off the annoying shooter girl and paid the tab for round 1...54 sing dollars (ouch). I then sent my girlfriend on her way. My fellow monger left to use the bathroom, and then never returned (het buddy, that is not cool!).
As soon as the stool was empty next to me, another bird alighted while the original pouted a few yards away. I didn't even notice her until she was practically on my lap with her hand on my crotch. Then a gin 'n tonic appeared for her. I waved the server off saying I didn't order it and I was not going to pay for it, then it was carted off to the dismay of girl #2. I decided to bail out of there.
On the way out, I decided to stop in at Ipanema, which is mentioned frequently on the S'pore forum. This place was pretty close to a Tigah Paluh environment with lots of freelancers. As I stood at the bar nursing my $14 draft [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) beer, no less then 1 Thai, 1 Indian, and 2 Malay girls siddled up next to me and told me that $200 would make them happy. I told them that $200 would not make me happy, unless they planned to cook and clean as well. All of them drifted off into the darkness as soon as I stopped laughing. I wasn't in the mood to get into a negotiation session, as none of them were that stunning. All in all, I'm glad to finally check out the scene there, but once was enough. Long live Jakarta.

Hanoi has become a nice town in the 3 years since I last visited, but the action is sparse. The discos have been raided recently. There are a number of motorbike girls who stop and offer something or other while you stroll around the streets, though I'm not sure what it is since I don't speak Vietnamese. It's winter in Vietnam, so the 60 degree (around 15 centigrade?) temps make the locals wrap up as if the snows were falling, which makes it tough to tell what anyone looks like. I'm told by my local friends that the motobike girls are the lowest of the low, so perhaps they are best left wrapped up in their winter weather gear.

Thanks to young master Aldritch for escorting me around town. I'd never imagined hearing a live rendition of Pink Floyd's 'Another brick in the wall' by an Indonesian band before...and seeing girls dance to it!! That was classic.
The bird we dragged around the entire night decided to plead the 'sick cow' routine once she saw my suite back at the hotel (it was a comp, haha). My problem seems to be night vision. What looks to me to be very very attractive in a bar always turns out to be very average once you get them home where the lamps work well. I need to get my vision checked. Something like what Vin Diesel had in the movie Pitch Black would work wonders in the naughty nighlife scene.

Stadium used to be very fun-save place, alot of western people coming there, not only guy but also white chick. They usually stand near to the DJ area/stage. Its more safety there and known as a place where the girls more attractive to western guy than indonesian.

Now, if you want to go to Stadium, better you bring someone that know better bout that place. And enjoy your drink by sit down at the bar (right at entrance) in 4th floor, and mamasan will coming to you to offer you a girl. But rememeber, behave and respect the people. As this place known a dangerous places.

Then go to Bats, Cj's, Pub 30, Retro, Stix, Tavern, Zen at Menara Thamrin Building - opposite of Sari Pan Pacific Hotel (small bar, but always good for hang out with mates,sit down in bar, looking at sexy dancer), afterhours (pool bar), aphrodhite for good snack and sport bar (look for fred the owner, always friendly), Bars at Falatehan for sure and the last Stadium for people who work hard play hard (taking some eeeeasy) ;)

A girl friend of mine knows the mamasan on the 4th floor of Stadium (in the disco). With her present, I feel somewhat comfortable and taken care of. By myself, I feel the underlying creepy tone of the place. There are much too many people on X there, which makes it strange to even venture into the bathroom, what with stepping over all the urchins simply slumped down in the corridor in their own drug-fueled haze. You get the feeling that they may try a stick-up, or they simply can't function enough to get off the floor. Either way, it is unsettling. I'll never go back there. God forbid, a raid happens while I'm there. Who needs that encounter?
On top of that, you get the usual Blok M or JJ's 'walk of irritation' upon exiting to find a taxi that won't rip you off very much, only it is magnified at the Stadium street head.

Years ago some friend brought me there too coz he mentioned very SYT will be seen there. Well Ok will be the first time in Kota area.

But when entering the place yes very, until very very SYT there but you aere not able to hear a thing until you go outside. Beer is lousy and the SYT are always kinda hurry. Uuuh do not like at all.

Like it like smooth sailing. Check the ladies with a nice beer, chit chat, like good, negotiate terms and conditions eeeh positions, negotiate price, take out bang bang bum bum. Relax with more beer jade jade jade.

Stadium should be break into 4 level when we talk about it.

Lvl 1 = Cafe and pool on the ground floor.
Lvl 2 = Lounge and fuck place
Lvl 3 = Lounge and KTV... (or was it lvl 2??)
Lvl 4-4 and a half = Disco and fuck rooms.

Actually I like one of the 2 lounges. Where they play classical song with a live band in the early evening. They too have some Fl that will sit and talk to you. Sometimes the hostress from the KTV will also be sitting around and talk to you too. They ask for 800k for short time. Saw a pretty Medan girl once but I could not afford 800k for ST. hahahaha

Sometimes the problem when been in Indonesia too long, you tend to forget that there are still decent girls around.

To my "limited" knowledge, Southern Jakartan will party in Block M area and when the place close at around 1 am.. They head down to Stadium to continiue the party...

Was told that these rich kids will start at the lounge in the 2nd floor which closes at 3 am, move on to the 3rd floor that close at 4 am before ending up at the Disco in the 4th floor. I remind friends here that these are the Rich Kids from the south. You might like to avoid them for we really do not who their father is.

One thing for sure, unless you dont know anyone and have never mongered before in your live, it is impossible not to hook up with a girl in Jakarta.

I've stopped by twice during the last week, on a Tuesday evening one week and Wednesday evening the other week. Both times the whole place was hopping. The 4th floor disco was charging an entrance fee of 35,000 rupiah that can be used to buy a drink. Two separate stops here, a street that features several bars that are good pick-up places, such as My Bar and D's place, and one block away is the Hotel Melawei, with an interesting massage parlor on the 6th floor that had over 30 girls to choose from when I stopped by last week, again all shapes, sizes and faces. I only liked 5 of the 30 girls but that's a pretty good ratio. House fee is higher here, I think it's 325,000 or 350,000?

It's called Palace and located at Jamsostek. As far as I can recall, there's a cover charge that takes care of the room, and then a flat Rp 300,000 (I think) per girl for sitting with you the whole night, i.e roughly 3 hours.

I usually estimate about Rp 2 million for 3-4 people, with 1 new bottle of Chivas. Taking the girls back would cost extra. I think the nearest pick up place is TigaPuluh (30), the bar in hotel Le Meridien. Very near to it is Fortune, a massage and spa. I've never been to the latter, but I remember reading some FR's on it (use:"search"). I'm sure even Hilton will provide a massage service, but I don't know if it is possible to get extra's over there.

Not very far from Hilton is jl. F/PalatehanI. It takes between 5 - 10 minutes by car in the evening, after 21.00 pm. Bars frequented by expats and mongers where the SYT's line up to serve you (all take-aways). Best places (in MY opinion!) to pick up: second floor D's Place and My Bar.

I have never been to Airport Sheraton, so I don't know about the in-house possibilities over there. I also think the location of it is not very benefecial to monger. You might concentrate on the Kota district though, but, where the girls hardly speak any decent English.

Kicked off my 2006 with a 2-night biz meeting trip to Jakarta. It has been some months since I have been to Jakarta, but the changes have been minimal... annoying visa-on-arrival process and inflated taxi prices due to government petrol price increase were the only two visible signs of decay.

Made my way to my usual haunts on Jalan Falatehan. Lights on at Oscar's. My Bar, Sportsman's and D's. Top Gun is closed for renovation. TG shot itself in the foot with its most recent renovation... I wish them better luck with thier "new concept." With TG closed, I made my way to the first floor bar at D's Place... too early so the crowd was overwhelmingly boozing males. Over to the pool table to wait my turn.

It wasn't until 11.00 that a couple of real cuties came in... I swooped in immediately. One had that just-came-from-an-island look. Her friend was cuter, but was incessantly playing with her cell phone... a real turnoff for me. The island girl couldn't speak a word of English except to tell me her name, but we enjoyed watching the pool and I used sign language to ask her if she wanted to go back. She nodded enthusiatically. Aryaduta is a very nice hotel. It has a good bar called Tavern that has good live music and some nice girls. The only problem with Aryaduta is that it is a little far from other places. But there are always blue and silverbird taxis there to take you wherever you want to go. I'd recommend it as a good place to stay.

And I do respectfully disagree - I would say that Kartika's is certainly not so bad that someone should not even consider going there. there had been enthusiastic comments about the transjakarta busway. unfortunately, work is still going on on the busway so instead of allowing one to bypass the traffic jam that plague that stretch between kota nightspots and monas, the busway now partakes of the congestion and makes it worst. it seems to be the kind of work that will never end and i don't expect it to be finished when i return to jakarta in june. i had set aside one afternoon to visit taman anggrek but it seems the egregious busway is expanding in that direction too (set to finish in january, but who believes it) so the taxi driver told me he couldn't make taman anggrek. neither could he make atrium, only pasar raya and senayan were to be reached within a reasonable amount of time. this lack of mobility is beginning to spoil jkt for me. after all, it's my precious holiday time i'm wasting watching the car in front puff its exhaust.

I have never been to Airport Sheraton, so I don't know about the in-house possibilities over there. I also think the location of it is not very benefecial to monger. You might concentrate on the Kota district though, but, where the girls hardly speak any decent English.The nearest you can find here is a placs in Cengkarang call Dadat. It's very kumpung houses by the river. Not much place for cars to park, only motorcycle

There is a few nice seafood resturant at the end of the food by the sea. Very porpular with the local.

Yes, that is about right. I estimate it will cost about 100k per hour in a Silverbird these days. Probably even a little less, but that will be close. When I first came to Jakarta, I'd have a silverbird stay with me all night for 7 hours and it ended up costing me around 150k. Now that same thing would cost about 600k.

Why -- go on-line, google jakarta hotels and you'll have enough to keep you busy. Then RTFF/search the ones that you think are good on this site to see if they're close to the action, etc.

They also have some of the best rates.

For most days you are alright to await arrival and book on the spot as they have a choice of most of the hotesl in Jakarta.

However, you do want to watch for special holidays and peaks like huge conferences, or other reasons when hotels might be running high on occupancy. In which case, you can text message KAHA at +62818866753 and ask them for quotes before you book on the SMS text message. Their normal telephone number is +6221 4603535.

In many ways, the security system is very tight on ID check. They can drag you down to the Police Precint for clarifications. Just cooperate with them. I always adviced my nightlife tour clients to leave their passport at the hotel safe and hand out 50K for setlement in the roadblocks.

Before the 1997 currency crisis, Medika charged 60K for 1 hour and it is equivalent to 27USD, Hotel Melawai Charged 120K for 1 hour and it is equivalent to 54USD, Hartono charged 300K, 500K, 750K for ST, and they are equivalent to 134USD, 223USD, 334USD. Have been there last Friday. , aduuhh! That place was jumping.
