Question to my more experienced friends: Do I get to choose fl in person at this place? I missed the process completely and went for the reccommendation. What time this place open?

OK Life in Jakarta during fasting month is dramatically reduced. After reading all of the FR's and info about Soapy massage, Wild Karaoke and Pick up joints I descended on my business trip to Jakarta on the first day of fasting month.
Bad timing everybody tells me…. Well my office didn't know that I had a second agenda to my trip, so to them it was 'just a business trip' so how to get laid in these circumstances.

My guess would be that you'd have to pay for taxi fare if someone showed up who was 45 and fat, when you had been promised someone 25 and thin. It is unusual in the context of this forum to pass on sad news however as some of the authors of reports in this forum will have known the person in question it seems only appropriate to write and inform all.
Today I received the news that a dear friend - probably known to some on this forum - Vivi passed away last month from TB.
A flame that burned brightly and always walked on the brighter side of the life has passed away.
May she find peace and to those of us who knew her fond memories of a wonderful person.
To all that who Vivi, I’m saddened to hear her fate. I neither knew her or of her but I’m wondering why anyone with contact with the western world need die of something like TB. While it is a highly contagious disease it is also quite curable.
I’m left wondering why she couldn’t get the help that she needed?

It was a risk to put a comment on this forum concerning the demise of someone whom others might have known.
Whilst some have made comments worthy of the spirit in which this forum is conducted - vis-a-vis we have no fight clubs unlike Philippines and Thailand - it would appear that some are less inclined to sympathy.

You're right, I was at Le Meridien on Wednesday evening for dinner at the Lebanese restaurant and learned that Tiga Puluh was closed until Friday.

Just to confirm what another brother reported about Tiga Puluh at the Hotel Meridien. It's definitely up and running again. I was there last night (friday) and the place was rocking with a new band. Two quite fuckable singers out front. A little skinny for my taste (though one with delicious arse!) and still a bit "kaku", awkward in their new billing, but they provided something to look at apart from the cuties on the other side of the bar.

Happy to report that Maribaya Spa on the 6th Floor of Hotel Melawai is open for business again.

Can't tell you anything re Park Lane hotel but the going rates will vary depending on where you get your cewek - if BATS, tiga bulah it is usually but not always more than say Blok M, and if you go further north to Stadium area, prices will vary again.
LT for 500K is fair price, not low and not high.

In my experience there is no problem getting a 3-some from pro's or semi-pro/amateurs. I've posted photos of at least 3 occasions albeit over a couple of years. I just got back in Sydney after a great week of Jakarta - boy oh boy what a fantastic time it was, again. I went to the Kota, Atrium and the Blok, played golf with my expat friends etc etc. - I don't want to be back!! There are a few nice hotels up at Puncak pass - Puncak Pass resort is very nice, it has a good restaurant, bungalows and rooms with open fire places, going at 450k per nite from what i remember.. I think you refer to the villas in Cisarua mountain resort & perhaps some other resorts close by not too far off Bogor and Puncak? It's popular with Middle Eastern men on short term "marriages". Some of these marriages have run into trouble with the Bogor district police in the past..
I haven't been to Puncak for several years now, so things may have changed. But when I did regularly go to Puncak for the weekend, the way to avoid return traffic hassles was to return to Jkt at 4pm on Sunday. At that time, both lanes of that narrow road were changed to one-way - ie down the hill to Jakarta. This meant that the traffic moved really fast (so long as you were going from Puncak to Jkt!).
It may have changed, but I think it was 4pm. Ask at your hotel or some other local. They're sure to know. It makes a BIG difference.

well, just a few km from ciawi toll exit, (1-2 km), after the brigde, in left side you will find small alley, that called "gang semen" just besides the warung padang.

Strangely, I have never seen a report about this place since I mentioned it about 2 years ago. The reason Menteng (rightly) mentions the good quality of girls there is that he and I "found" two of them in PS and later went to see where they worked - see report. For those of you who may be interested in Karaoke places, I have visited the sands place where in addition to the karaoke facility, also has a disco, a spa, and a catwalk bar (where PRC's and local girls dance on a stage: a rip off actually and not even sexy !).
I thought that the new karaoke rooms were actually very nice. They have 3 different sizes of rooms, the bigger one even comes with a DJ and a disco which can hold 57 people, i.e. 100 people altogether can fit in! see the pictures hereafter.
As for costs: Big room normal price is 800 KRp per hour with 75% discount on happy hours 2 to 8 pm and the nights of monday and sunday. Wednesday and tuesday are 50% off for the night with min charge of 6 million Rp; as well as friday and saturday with inimum charge of 10 million Rp.
Medium room, for 15 to 20 people, normal rate is 400 KRp per hour, idem as above for the discounts with min charge of 3 million Rp going up to 5 million Rp during weekends.
Standard room, for up to 10 people, normal rate is 300 KRp per hourwith min charge of 3 million Rp on sunday and monday (75% off during happy hour i.e. 1.2 million Rp). Wednesday and tuesday are 3 million Rp min charge with 50% off the room rate.
Now to what intererests you buggers ... the girls ...PRC's are 600 KRp booking fee plus tips of 500 KRp cash on hand, for 10 hours (yes yes yes TEN...); Local girls are 400 KRp booking fee plus 200 KRp tips, for 10 hour too. The booking fee and the room charges count towards the min charge, but not the tips.
And now for the booze ... 20% discount for non alcoholic drinks, to 40% discount during week days. Now, you didn't understand any of the above? don't worry, I got confused too, even as i am writing it in fact. So if you think you could be interested, then grab a cab, get your butt there and see for yourself if you can have them explain it to you better because I really got dizzy with their price structure, and don't ask me about what is subject to ++ or not, they'd lost me for a while when we got to that !!! but ... I think the girl's costs are not subject to ++

Menteng is on the spot listen to him. Btw it really doesn't matter what race you are in Jakarta (except I've heard of "blacks" being discriminated against now and then) just go and have fun. If in doubt, head to the hotel bars or Blok M bars. you can try the Kota take out places or others like Classic or Travel hotel. If you want to ask JAD to give you a tour - yes it will cost you but I doubt you'll ask too many questions after that (and he can put you straight on a lot of issues that may be unclear to you). It's difficult not to have fun in Jakarta so do the easy thing and enjoy!

I have been now in indonesia for 3 weeks. Staying at a relatives in Jakarta (kelapa gading) so have not been able to sample the night time activities discussed on this forum, however I did venture out for some afternoon fun.

Cop a Feel: Paramount Hotel in the Eastcoast has about 20 odd bars. All the girls there are Filipinas. Sleaze factor varies from bar to bar. Bali Hai (or "the Club" as it has become popularly known) is such a classic stop in Jakarta. It seems to me that it's a must for all true mongers to at least stop in and have one beer. However, take heed when going to Bali Hai. Don't expect the girls there to be very attractive. While they will glady take care of you on the other side of the bar, the average looks of the "girls" there are not much to brag about. As a matter of fact, if Menteng himself put a wig on, he might be one of the more attractive ones there. LOL! Seems the infinite wisdom of the Indo government has come into play, and all entry through immigration requires a printout of your return itin in cases where you have E-tickets. Twice now I have forgotten this and got stuck trying to convey my needs to the cute, but completely clueless, young gals at the transfer desk. This means you are dead last in getting out of the place.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences and knowledge. The forum has been a great help in making my first attempts at mongering at least moderately successful.
I am now returned from my trip and feel that I should return the favour and relate my experiences, limited as they are.
It was always going to be difficult to get full freedom to roam as I was being accompanied by a colleague and hosted by local associates. However, when I heard that we had been booked into the Shangri La hotel, my spider senses pricked up and I remembered several posts about the possibilities to be found in BATS.
With 2 nights in store I looked forwards to my first mongering experience. Into the bar quite early it was disappointing to see mainly white fellas taking food and/or drink (perhaps on a similar mission). I decided that I was gonna get a drink anyway and settled down. There was evidence that maybe a live band would be performing so perhaps thing would look up. An hour later and what a change! Paying 300k for ST at BATS is probably quite good - especially for a newbie to Jakarta; however, being a bit of an "ageist" myself, it was probably due to her age and looks. Jakarta is very, very spread out, so most people do not walk around much. Plus it's hot and humid (during the day at least).
Your best bet for getting around is the Transjakarta bus, for 3,500 rupiah a shot (that's about 40 cents), which has its own dedicated bus lane, so it moves fairly quickly even when there's lots of traffic. The main route goes between Kota and Blok M, which are your two main areas for finding girls. Plus, two of the three main pick-up clubs, BTS at Shangri-La and Tiga Puluh at Le Meridien, are both on this bus line (note: the bus stops running around 10 pm), although most girls at these places are out of your price range.
There are also cheaper buses, such as the "Kopaja" buses, and the "Mikrolet" mini-vans.
But Bulai69 is right, you'll find it difficult to find much in your price category. You might find some sleazy action near the Kota train station (some previous posts have discussed this), plus you can probably get a quick BJ for 150,000 at the Bali Hai bar located 50 meters from the Blok M bus stop.

Park Lane is in Casablanca. There is a bar in the hotel called Stix, which is reportedly good on weeks with the girls looking for 500k a pop. This is acceptable in my view if your taking them for 10pm to 6am, but I guess in your situation u'll be after short time with a location provided.
I've read about the places in Kota but never ventured as I'm a Blokkie and know most of the places there for mongering. If you head the past Kuningan to Blok M, Hotel Melawai has a bar on the 6th floor nicknamed the intercourse hotel. I have visited in recent days (normally between 5 and 9pm) Pasaraya, Blok M Plaza, Semanggi and Sarinah). From these places, I think Blok M Plaza has produced the closest encounter on Saturday night.

It is at your right hand side, when leaving Atrium plaza at The Pizza Hut part. It is possible to book short-time ("transit" is the word) starting at 160K. Next prices are 200K and 225 K.

All depends on the traffic. At night no problem, by day maybe a taxi is a big problem. I've been able to walk places in ten minutes that would take an hour by taxi. If you are anywhere near the Transjakarta busway, the taxi isn't quite as appealing anymore.
Strike all the above if accompanied by a female, because if you want to get some, you're going to be jumping in a taxi - even if it is just to go around the corner.
On the subject of taxis - just for the benefit of new comers - I think in a sense Brandon88 and Hung Man are both right. I've known bules spend an hour in a taxi, quite literally, just to get to the other side of Sudirmann during the day when they could have walked across a bridge. This is idiocy.
Also like Brandon88, many times I've had kept a Silver Bird all evening and toured around several locations for only around $10 US. The main point is if you go to a night club, anywhere other than at a 5 star hotel, you will for sure get ripped off in a big way of you emerge with a girl. I've been informed (by the lovely Miss Semi High Maintenance I've met) that to the Police, Silverbird = VIP taxi. Which means that the Silver Birds sail through the Police road blocks. Here is my experience. When I am in JKT on safari (i.e. not working), I like to try for two kills at the Atrium. This is my optimised path: After sleeping in late from the night before, I will try to arrive at 11.30 and grab some lunch. I don't think arriving earlier makes sense because the crowds are thin. The crowds get heavier at lunch and by 12.30 I am scoping the place for my first target. Generally by 14.00 I am on my way to the Sheraton with my first girl. Finish with her by 15.30 and go out to the Industri 9-11 massage for a one-hour recharge. Back to Atrium by 17.00 and resume the hunt. I find the 16.00-18.00 period to be the richest for hunting on weekdays... I guess because it is the right time before MILFs have to return home to the kids and girls who live at home have to return back to watchful parents. I try to find something by 18.30... if not I have three choices: give up, keep looking or pop up to Kota and get sure-fire action at Pen-J or TC. If I find a girl, I am usually done by 20.00, which gives me plenty of time to shower up and get down to Blok M for a nice dinner at Sportsman's, pool at Top Gun and then pick up a party girl at My Bar.
This is the most optimised path I have been able to take in JKT. That is quite expensive. Although it really depends on the girl. If she is model quality, then it's ok. If she's the quality of a girl you'd pull out of Atrium mall, then it's about 5 times too much. Please keep in mind that it's extremely rare that you will see a top quality girl worth 2.5 million for 2 days posted on this forum. Extremely rare. And that's taking the videos into consideration as well.
If you are paying her way to Bali and for all her meals, 1 million is plenty to give her for the weekend. Even a very nice looking girl would go for that 90% of the time.
I agree with AR's report re timing - certainly no point in going before 11.30. I find that girls from some distance away sometimes come in on the bus and arrive about 12.00.
