Thanks Bulai69 for the feedback on Hotel Indonesia. In fact I went there at 6 pm after seeing your writeup on the message board. I will try in the night.

HC in Hotel Indonesia, Hilton, and Ambhara are handled by the same group. In the old days, this group normally stationed the stunners at Hilton HC. Local young urban professionals fun of playing 19 holes golf course. 18 holes at Senayan. 1 hole at Hilton HC. Too bad … Hilton HC is closed now. It has been said they moved this stunner group to Twin Tower formerly Park Plaza. But, I think the city government is temporarilly closing Twin Tower over tax dispute (I learned this las week).
For a good HC experience, you should try J.W. Marriott.

Yes ¡K glorified KTV Clubs like 1001 and Golden Crown still charge 2.5 Million Rupiah (around 194 USD) for ST for mainland Chinese talents (out-calls & in-calls). 1001 still charges 3 Million Rupiah (around 353 USD) for ST for Caucasian talents (out-calls & in-calls), mainly Russians and Uzbeks. But, they are loosing ground. 1001 had shifted to Latina few months ago. KTV Clubs don't offer dry companionship for Caucasian talents. But, they offer dry companionship for 500K Rupiah (around 59 USD) until they close for Chinese talents. Normally, these Chinese talents still demand ¡¥somewhat compulsory¡¦ at least 300K Rupiah tip on top of dry companionship fee. In some less-glorified KTV Clubs like Olympic, Sydney 2000, Rajamas, Millenium, etc. charge 1.5 Million (around 176 USD) for ST for Chinese talents (out-calls only).
I called several escort agencies offering foreign talents to local markets. I believe they also have concession as KTV Clubs¡¦ third party. They charge 1.5 Million Rupiah (around 176 USD) for ST for Caucasian talents (out-calls only). They are mainly Russians, Uzbeks, French, Italian, Swedish, Dutch, etc. They charge 1 Million Rupiah (around 118 USD) for ST for Chinese talents (out-calls only). They are mainly from mainland, HK, Macao, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, etc. I think these agencies traffic these foreign talents from Singapore and/or Bangkok. My friend tried a 22 yo Caucasian talent from Russia. He said she is young, firm, tight, and enjoy sex. But, I know she is 6-7 in rating scale.
I checked several discos. It has been said the Ruskies are offering outcalls for 1 Million Rupiah (around 118 USD) for ST. I checked several 2-3 stars hotels. It has been said the Chinese in KTV Clubs are offering in-calls in their hotel room for 500K Rupiah (around 59 USD) for 1 shot. I checked several bordellos massage parlors. It has been said the Ruskies and Chinese are offering in-calls in bordello massage parlor's room for 750K Rupiah (around 88 USD) for ST.
I noticed Caucasian talents are not well-dressed. Very simple in make-up, accessories, etc. In contrary with Chinese talents, really nice to look at.
These are the latest development. The truth is foreign talents market in Jakarta has crashed recently. Their prices are even cheaper than upscale local talents. No quality control I suppose. No control over the quality. No control over the quantity, especially Chinese talents. The system itself normally used by Chinese international agents created such market anarchy. Chinese talents are in their mid 20s ¡V mid 30s. Looking 6 ¡V 7 in rating scale. I think they are no longer competitive in their mainland. Caucasian talents are in their early 20s. Re John A's comments on hotel HC's, I've got quite a lot of experience of them because I'm not a permanent resident (unfortunately), I always stay in hotels. I spend about 12 weeks a year in total. The hotels I've been in recently include Meridien, Crowne Plaza, Hilton, Grand Hyatt, Aryaduta, Aston, Sari Pan Pacific, Mandarin Oriental and some others I can't remember. None is any better than another. I can tell you that almost all the women in all of these offer anything you want - 95% I would say. The problem is many of the customers are naive and unaware of the JKT "scene" and consequently the prices the women ask (and I assume sometimes get) are quite ludicrous as a rule. Starting price is often US $ 100 for a HJ ! Of course they can always be negotiated down but never really low enough. I don't think the cost of a basic massage is negotiable but I always slip it through on my expenses so I've never tried !. It's usually around 100k. On the whole, these HC's represent poor value for money

Hard Rock Cafe (not there 10yrs ago) is OK - its at Sarinah dept store not far from Plaza Indonesia. I wouldn't bother with Grand Hyatt. If you've got time during the day you could try the malls. If none of this works you could try Tanamour and/or JJ's next door - especially important you take my advice on taxi if you do ! You cannot fail to score at these place - I'm not certain they are open during idul fitri but it's easy to check.

Yes your advice is what I would be strictly following. I would go in for freelancers rather than the bordellos or the traditional places. This saturday I checked into Menteng II. Don't hesitate to drop my travel agency Jakarta After Dark if you want them to deliver the voucher to you at your convenient place and time (you should tip the courier say 20K). Hotel Indonesia 215K R/O, Red Top 295K R/O, Park Lane 415K R/O, Mandarin 525K w/B'fast, Crowne Plaza 525K w/B'fast, etc. You should check by yourself. Tell me if you have problem in finding dispatchers.

John A - hope you are back soon. I reported on Oasis health club a while ago and you said you couldn't find it. I'm not suprised, it's totally impossible to find now as they've taken the sign down. Having just returned to JKT I decided to go back (just in the interests of informing this forum) and I can tell you it's on level 4 in Gedung Patra Jasa - a well known office block on Gatot Subroto. It's about 6 buildings along from Planet H, away from Semanggi and has a large blue and yellow Bank Mega sign outside. Even when you are in the building there is no indication - you must get in the lift, go to level 4 and then you'll see a small sign if you turn right out of the lift. You can't fail with these directions !
The place is better than I remember. It's very large - maybe 15 massage rooms, saunas, restaurants, hairdresser, roof garden etc. It's nothing like Maribaya for instance, it's fairly "up-market" and caters for well off Indonesians rather than bules. They don't see many there - it's obvious, you know how you can tell. Very little english spoken. When I went today about 5pm there were 10 girls to chose from photos - all pretty good, mine was 8/10 maybe 19 or 20 slim attractive and just like her photo (unlike some places). The massage was as good as I've ever had (better than previous times there). Downside is cost - I had to pay 300k for HJ. OK I didn't HAVE TO I could have got up and walked out - I would defy anyone to do that after one and half hours massage with this girl ! I asked her if she would have FS "next time" or if she would come to my hotel another day - after some persuading she said she would for 700k. Having just spent all the previous night with a girl as good for 300k this was not an option. The admission is quite expensive at 100k so 400k total for a (excellent) massage and HJ is steep by JKT standards. Worth a look though.
Final thought - if any newcomers who lack the time or confidence to hunt around some of the darker corners of JKT want a totally safe place to go, albeit at high cost, I can recommend Oasis - especially during the day when no hotel clubs are open.

In fact I was referring to 30 bar (typing error/ommission !) which as I'm sure you know is in Meridien. Also, minor point, it was 8 when I arrive and was in bed by 9. OK an hour is along time but it did take me 40 minutes to shower etc !

If you are in a hurry and need a quickies, you can go to the Bulungan area (any taxi driver knows where it is) it's behind Blok M Plaza, in front of PSKD high school, side streets around Klub 45, at 8:30 pm on wards and believe it or not, there are a lot of young cuties for Rp 200,000, they are cheap and give excellent whatever that you want. I prefer the ABG ones, but there's always one for every taste. Hi Macauman - we are all at risk everywhere we go now - the place to worry about most in my view is the place that hasn't been hit yet. There is very good security in most places now (ie hotel & malls), certainly much greater than before the Marriott bomb. Trouble is, everyone has their price and in JKT it's pretty low by US/UK levels so I guess it wouldn't take much to buy your way past it if you had a mind to. Over the past 11 years I've never ever experienced anything other than extreme friendliness wherever I've been.
I think I agree with buzz's points but he does seem to lapse into a somewhat philosophical theme in his last para ! I am at the older end of the age spectrum myself (though I don't quite fit the profile below !) and I am certainly very grateful I can get young girls which, as buzz says, I wouldn't have a hope in hell of getting in the West. Mainly in response to JAD's point - the choice in JKT is not between high price rip off or 3rd rate bar girls/hookers. I think this is what Marc69 and Opebo are saying and I agree. I've found no correlation at all in JKT between cost and quality; if anything the opposite. The most I've every paid is Rp1 million for all night (when deperate/short of time!) and the result was not as good as I've had hundreds of times (literally) for Rp200k - Rp400k. Best thing to do is look for amateurs and get real girl friend experience, everything you want and at a fraction of the cost. This forum is full of advice on where/how to find them.

Modeling agency type has too many categories. In the end, you will never meet these people if you are not comfortable with their billings or you only go to standard bule places.
Experiences vary. You may have found that the higher the cost, the worse the service. This is not the case most of the time. But you are quite right that there is no correlation between price and service. If you only go for an excellent mechanical service, I advice you to stick to 150K-300K bordellos. They are good enough for such modest requirements. Again, this is not what I am talking about. I was always referring with qualitative and quantitative weight in quality.
No questions or arguments about your statement on bule bargain hunters often get very cute girls for a fraction of the cost. We don't have standard rating scale on quality, service, etc. It is like comparing an orange with an apple.

I am impressed with the wealth of information provided in this forum. This will be my 5th trip to JKT. I only scored once at 30 and the oft mentioned stadium. Hi Marc69 - I think maybe you found it but didn't realise you had. It could of course have actually been closed but I must say there isn't usually much activity at street level, you go in the entrance and up some stairs, sometimes there will be someone at the bottom of the stairs, sometimes not. Certainly there is no sign outside, and little indication of what's inside even after you go in the entrance. There is a single fairly large wooden door from the street which is usually open. The last time I went, just 3 months ago, nothing had changed in respect of my description. Also the building itself was a dirty pink colour. Don't expect too much - as I said, quality of girl is very variable indeed - but in my experience, they will do anything you want. Just to repeat the location, it's on the left before you get to Cafe Batavia, maybe 50 - 100 metres before the cafe. Good luck, hopefully your next post will confirm you found it !

I recently spent a couple of days in Jakarta and wanted to thank everyone for the advice and information they have shared through this board. It made the difference, for me, between a boring business trip and an interesting adventure.
I tried out a couple of the places, including Berlian, TC and a place at Hotel Malawai, that have been described at length in these pages. While looking for them I also discovered a few other places that I didn't see mentioned anywhere. Some were good and some were not.
Here is one that haven't been mentioned:
Diamond: I found diamond while looking for Berlian. Berlian is, I'm told, Indonesian for Berlian. Anyway, when I couldn't find a taxi driver who knew where Berlian was I tried out my trusty Indonesian - English dictionary. Twenty minutes later I was at Diamond. Diamond bills itself as a karaoke, so my first instinct was to stay away. I'm glad that I went inside.
After arriving I was greeted by a hostess. I told her that I don't like to sing and so she recommended the "strip tease". I was escorted to a rather nice and clear karaoke room which had a seperate bath and waited while the hostess brought in a group of girls aged 18 to about 25 for me to choose from. At the recommendation of the hostess I selected two, but in retrospect should have chosen just one. Both of the girls were in their early twenties, were thin and had very white skin. I chose one because of her outstanding bust and another for her overall good looks, which I would rand from 8-9.
Several minutes later, the fun began. The girls changed into cute outfits, turned on some music and began to dance. Off came the clothes, little by little, and the girls began to take turns dancing while the other helped my out of my clothes, one piece at a time. I see from my private message box that this community is more vibrant that I thought! I have had a couple of requests for more information regarding the prices at Diamond.
Diamond is a medium-priced facility, that is, the prices are significantly higher than Berlian or Stadium but lower than the high end club/ktvs. I paid 350k per dancer per hour but, after a bit of negotiation, got the room thrown in for free. My tip of 100k a piece was very much appreciated.
The follow-up session back at the hotel was also a bit pricey at 500k, but well worth it because I was much too tired to go hunting.

If you are looking for something different from the usual locations or want to get a real massage along with your FS/HJ, I have a place to recommend. I was looking for just that, a real massage after a bit of mongering at Lokasari and stumbled on to the Atlantis Spa. (I don't know the address, but if you turn on to Manga Besar from Gadjah Mada and then right again at the first light, you'll see it on the left hand side before the traveler hotel.)
Atlantis Spa is a medium sized health club with a change room, hot and cold plunge pools and a comfortable relaxation room. Unlike health centers in Macau and China, services such as foot massage and pedicure do not seem to be available in the relaxation room. There are, however, drinks and snacks and three large screen televisions as well as comfortable, clean chairs. This is a good place to relax and unwind after the noise and busle of places like Stadium.
The massage is the best part. You can choose from several levels of massage service. I chose the Royal Suite, the top-of-the-line service but couldn't really choose my masseuse because there were no pictures to go along with the numbers. This set me back 250k.
The room was clean with a raised massage table, a shower, and a jacuzzi pool. Decor was tacky wanna-be Japanese, including a plastic bonzai plant and Asian string music accompanied by bird noises. At least the room was very clean.
My massage girl was plain, perhaps a 6, but the Massage service was excellent, and a few casual strokes in the right places let me know that additional service was on offer. In fact, it may have been included in the price, but I cannot say for sure because, before pursuing this I decided to return to the change room to retrieve my belongings. Had I expected that there would be a vip room, I would have gone there directly rather than using the lockers in the changing room.
Anyway, I had to pass through the relaxation room on the way back from the changing room. As I walked through, I noticed a really attractive woman. I learned that she was Thai. She was probably a 9, with a petite figure which I'd rank at 8. Best of all, she was dressed in cute school-girl skirt. In other words, just what I was looking for. I am a long time reader of this forum, and have invariably found the information extremely useful and informative. My own exploits have invariably been less impressive than those of some the senior members, and as such I've never felt the need to post advice which was, more often than not, already covered in detail elsewhere.
However, a story I recently came across prompted this, my first posting. Anyway, my point is, without moralising excessively, I reckon that a basic level of respect is in order when dealing with these girls. After all, we all benefit from their situation and hardly need treat them like that in order to get a pretty reasonable deal. The last thing we need is a couple of guys behaving in a way that gives us all a reputation like that. Personally, what I like most about the Indonesian girls is the level of innocence the still seem to retain (or at least project) which you just don't get anywhere else. Treat them like dirt, and soon or later cyncism is going to set in, and then we may as well be I Bangkok, Amsterdam, or Rio.

You may be right too. Because a Kijang sometimes gives a much more comfortable journey than a Benz and a Merecedes Benz "S"Class is also prone to a break down. But then one needs to pay a premium for a Benz. But then it all matters to personal preference.
JA, Agreed, continuing the metaphorical theme, if you pay 200,000 for a meal in an expensive restaurant the chances are you'll have a better experience than getting a bag of rice for 300 at a warung but the latter might satisfy your hunger better.
Another point is that of course if we are talking about agencies there is another side to it. The agent takes over half of the fee so what you get reflects this. The proof is that when you get a girl from an agent as I have done the odd time they will happily give you their phone number on the basis you'll pay them half what you've just paid the agent. They could probably be got for less but I've never tried because they are not usually very good - I should add I'm talking about paying 500k so the girl is probably only "worth" 200k. I have been sort of caught out more than once when I've taken one back and they've noticed the tray of items wasn't there but I've just bluffed it out. To get the same experience as we could have had in the hotel we would, in this environment, have had to pay two or three times as much. The only additional benefit being the opportunity to make a prat of one's self singing into a microphone first. Why do people want to mix singing with screwing ? Each to is own. More to follow but if anyone has actually spent time (and a large amount of money - which we didn't) in Las Vegas, Menteng and I would be intrigued to know about it.

Just a bit more feedback on my adventures with Menteng last week. As a recent convert from wsg.com I have been watching with interest the ongoing debate about what constitutes a 10. As stated previously it is selective and individual rating system with no common "rules" or degrees of assessment. That was a very interesting report. I believe these things happened to you. I am glad that you took my nightlife tour services. I think they were not prosecuted. They must have paid a considerable amount of money to the authority. They are running their agency now. Their ad says something like RINO IS BACK. But, ever since that incident then they always sent their girls by themselves.
My comment: agencies like this one don't really coordinate with the authority as they tend to have no office. I truely believe that ... the reason that the authority runned a sting operation on them because they have offer their services thru a website. So ... the authority can produce "cyber escort agency was busted" headline.

Yes you could get some meat for @ USD20 at the MP's of Kota. Tin Tin costs you 120K, Maharadja, Ibu Linda, Hawaaii and the like cost you 150K, TC is 150 for the screw and 45 for the room and Berlian costs you 180K. Stadium costs 230K.
It depends on what you want. You could also try those small bylanes near the railway line where you could also score for around 50 K too. But be careful of clap.
And about Indonesia being a poor country, please take it out from your mind. The per capita GDP is over USD630, much higher than most developing countries.Just check it out how many countries in the world have such per capita GDP. You can count on finger tips. Do not go by the telecasts of the Discovery Channel. They take pains to search for the poorest of the locales and highlight the poverty. Even in Europe you would not find the number of Mercs, BMW's, Volvo's Jaguars in any one city that you find in Jakarta.
And to just highlight to you , Jakarta is the only city in the world where you would find House rentals which could be cheapest in the world in some parts and in some parts, it would be much more than even Beverly Hills.
And to also sum up, Indonesia has some of the largest Multi Billion dollar companies. If you take out the Auto companies on the Fortune 500 list, and also remove the value contribution of Indonesia to the MNC oil companies, then Indonesian companies would nett much higher in terms of value than those companies from these so called developed nations. So please take it out from your mind that Indonesia is a poor country.

Hi Opebo - I'll PM you on cost - but what keeps prices high (in my opinion) is very simple: people pay too much ! This sounds like a tautology but it isn't. You can certainly get what by my standards, is an excellent looking girl who performs to perfection for under 500k. I've had many under 300k but I would say that is a sensible minimum for all night. That's my "benchmark" price and all the girls I post are around that figure.
The point about willingness to pay too much is this: girls go to places like BATS and find it 100% occupied by bules, many of whom never go anywhere else and just don't what the going rate is. I only meant Indonesia was a poor country relative to middle income countries, like my current abode, Thailand. You mentioned a per capita GDP of $630 - I think it is about $2,200 here.
But I think I understand now, that there are plenty of lower priced venues or freelancers (50K). This is more in line with the kind of mongering I do here in Thailand. It just happens that all you Indonesia posters are high end guys I guess. Not my scene.

I get quite a few PM's on where to find "amatuers". This is a big subject but Malls are the best place in my experience. Plaza Indonesia and Plaza Senayan being my favorites. Sales girls are relatively easy to get because, of course, they are "captive" ie it's easy to go and chat with them - perfurme and cosmetics are best because they are often on commission only or highly geared sales incentives. Even if they have a basic salary it could be just around $US 20 per month.
