4000 CZK for half an hour is outrages price for privat. Even escort and club don't charge that kind of prices unless they are rip-offs. May be they charge significant premium for anal, bbbj, and CIM.
What do you mean by “high level privat”? Do you mean good service or just expensive? In my experience expensive privat/club/escort does not guarantee the best service.

The privates are easy - the problem is finding them. Just look at www.escort.cz for the privates listings and call the girls for the address. The hard part is understanding the address and finding it. If you search through this board, you can find several reports on privates. In my experience, most privates are pretty hard to find. Between the Czech names and the lack of english over the phone, I've spent countless hours searching around Prague for garbled addresses. If you're going private hunting, I would recommend having several backups and a cell phone with you. Just go to one with the intention of leaving if you don't like what you see. First step is to call the private and get the address and the bell name (very important) then get all the information you might need about your planned session (rates, extras, girls availability......) and make sure to let them know of your arrival time and ask if another call is needed before arrival.
Once you're there, most probably you'll be asked to sit in a closed room and each girl in this private will than come to introduce herself to you, the last one will ask you about your choice. At this point you could still leave if none of the ones you saw is your taste, it is usually acceptable to do so.

Escort.cz has maps on almost all of the privats. They are usually pretty accurate showing the street they are located on. You just have to get the street number and door bell names from the girls when you call. Some privats do not have door bells and you have to call them when you get to the building, that’s when a cell phone is a must.
If you still can not understand the street name, another trick is to ask the girl send you SMS message with their address and bell name. It worked out for me in a few occasions.

Just back from 2 nights in Big sister,

The price that you pay 4000 czk/0.5 hr are very uncommon. You will an early signal for you to make a decision.
Normally, the price vary between 1000-2000 czk/hr. The quality of private in term of services and the ladies are not detremined by the price but it depends on the management.
If they realise that you are a foreigner, they might think that you will never become a regular customer and therefore thay try to make money from you as much as possible, "hit and run" tactics.

I got my Czech cell phone at T-mobile. The twist pre-paid plan I have cost 2000 czk that includes the phone, sim card, and 300 czk airtime credit. I got it at the Flora indoor mall T-mobile store, but there are T-mobile stores all over the city. Some you may even able to get an used one. If you not planning to return to Prague in the future, there are places that are willing to buy back your phone at a reduced price. The money you save after going to a few privats instead of club and escort will more than pay for the phone. The other popular providers are Eurotel and Oskar.
I would not say privat is a more laid back experience. But you definetly get more value for your money than club and escort. Then again you have to do some homework and hit a few bumps along the way. Don't let that discourage you, it will get a lot easier. Just make sure you have plenty of print out and maps for back ups.
My club experience in Prague is limited to FKK. I recommend anyone new to Prague scene to check it out at least once for yourself. The total price for the evening will be about 3 times what you would pay for a visit at a privat. That's why I don't go there on a regular basis.

JaasThe private scene can be intimidating and frustrating. First you need to get the address which can be a challenge. Best way is to get it from Escort.cz. If you just call when you are in Prague, there is a good change the girl will speak little or no english so getting the address from them could be difficult unless you speak Czech of course. Second problem is calling to find out who is there or to negotiate price and service. Again, if you do not speak Czech it can be a problem. Lastly, when you get there you may find out the girl you were looking for is not there or she is there but doesn't look anything like the picture you saw. You can certainly just leave, but it is still awkward. If you like the hunt and can deal with the unexpected, then I guess it can be fun. If you do not like that then it is best to hit the clubs.

I just got back from Prague and Budapest and had great time in both places. With regard to BigSister I also debated a bit about the risk but decided to go for it and I am glad I did. See Budapest for posting there.
First most of the guys downstairs, myself included, while I was there were not drinking alcohol and as already stated there is no need to buy the girls a drink. Second donn't hesitate to ask for what you want including two girls at once. The manager will be happy to oblige. Further be direct about who you want - the girls have a tendency to hang out together but the manager will bring you whom ever you ask for. Finally I checked their web site after the fact and there was no trace of my being there in the archive files. In fact I think that the odds are fairly low that will occur since they seem to only post at best an hour of video from each day. When you consider all of the rooms and and hours they are open not much actually gets to the web site. However, if your performance is memorable, for either good or bad reasons, the chances will increase.
I also visited a couple of clubs - Tango and AAA. I had a great experience at Tange with I think Hellen - didn't quite get her name but she had dark curly hair. Get charged for 40kc beers while snooty little Czech girls dance around to rap music. Whatever. You gotta get your whiskey dick going before a visit to Sex Park. Beer goggles are a necessity. So are smokes, since all the girls do there all day is smoke, screw, smoke, read, smoke, shower, and smoke some more. So after a few pivo, trot next door to sex park and pass through the metal detector.
You basically walk through the 2 sets of hallways lit with red lights and see which one of the ice princesses appeals to you that night. The prices are standard – 1000kc for half an hour of sex, 2000kc for an hour, etc. Some girls might do something like 500 for just a BJ, but I’ve never gone for that. Sex here is pretty standard in terms of times and prices. Once in the small rooms, you and the girl take a shower. Then she’ll usually pop on a condom for a short covered BJ. If you are looking for Privat girls, you must do your search at escort.cz also. The hardest part about Privat girls are getting the name of the street and the door bell. After a month or so spent in Prague, here is a small report on my own experience.
Compared to other countries I know, Prague is not bad for sex, however it is to a wide extent not an easy and transparent place. If you do not perform a minimum of pre-study you might end up being screwed big times.
Internet or this forum in general can help you but will definetely not replace "on the ground" study.
Even of on this forum, I could check that there are some cases of people trying to oversell or on the contrary to prevent people to go to a place when frankly speaking, reality is quite different. How to improve the quality of reports, this is not easy to say. I did not find any interesting idea on the issue.
I will speak only about what I have tried.
Clubs:
K5 : A lot of good looking girls, most of them are not ready to go very far in sex, but there a few exceptions. If you know who you want to go with and spend just 30mn, then you pay 2400CZK. But if you want to sit first, to get a drink or more, including to the girl, negotiate extras which sometimes cost a lot and get an hour... you might end up more to 5 or 6000 CZK. In general, it's quite expensive. I would go there only to find the nice girls and try to convince them for a "black escort". Even if this might seem bad to the business, I don't think it's morally bad to propose to a girl to do over time some place else. Last important point : a non written rule there, is that even if you go with a girl 1h, she won't make it twice, unless you negotiate it with her before without telling the boss.

While I agree that not all clubs are as bad as Drasny I would say that the ones in the Center try to hussle expensive lady drinks and are over priced. Anyone visiting Prague would do well to do some research into the Privates and the clubs to pick ones that have good reviews and are not rip off joints.
As for the comment about pick pockets, also watch out if you are walking Wenceslas late at night. The girls will try to hit you up for sex at the same time they are trying to get your wallet.

I totally agree. Prague's as safe as Europe (well, middle and eastern europe) gets. In fact, I have proof. I've been roaming around Prague at all hours of the day and night, drunk off my ass many times. Never had any problems. The only places you want to watch yourself are in the city center in the middle of the night. Gypsy girls will try to pick your pocket, I've occasionally had friends who were mugged or knocked down, but this is VERY rare in Prague. Prague is about as safe as you can get in Europe, certainly a lot safer than most monger places I've been to. You just have to watch your wallet late at night if you're in the city center. But otherwise, just be cautious. It's certainly A LOT safer than the U.S. I don't think I'm scaring away any mongers. Prague is certainly a lot easier and more attractive, with better prices for mongering than most big cities in middle and eastern europe. That sells itself. And if not, HEY GUYS - COME TO PRAGUE! THERE'S A LOT OF HOT PIZDA OUT HERE! (that ought to do it)
As a followup, the next night I went to Dessert (CHL club) and screwed my brains out and had a wonderful experience. But that's another story.

Obviously I had no other battery - he had patted me and gone over me with a metal detector. And digitla camera battery's are not exacty as ubiquitous or standard as a duracell!
They refused, so I surmized that their agenda was stealing the expensive digital camera and not preventing me from taking pics - especially as they still insisted I could hold on to my camera phone.
So I left. I have no problem with going back, but I'd not go there if I had a camera in my pocket. You will be forced tochose between losing a $500 digital camera and getting cheap sex for $50. I perfer to keep my camera.
SIDE NOTE:

I wasn't angry - at low price points, its always a mixed bag - but the place was a bit off my path and I could have done other things. Maybe the next person will have better luck, you nevr know, but personally if I go back to Prague, I'll not spend my time re-trying this one.

With an expected 9 percent rise in tourism to the Czech Republic this summer setting a new record, a growing number of eager scam artists are counting on some rich pickings. And those who witness the rip-offs daily, staff at hotels, restaurants and embassies, say the number and sophistication of thefts and cons is on the rise.
Pickpockets and the "Bulgarian money scam" — passing off worthless Bulgarian leva as Czech crowns — have increased dramatically in the past year, according to professionals in the tourism and service industries.
"Official crime stats are falling, but it doesn't match what we're seeing," said Richard Appleton, consul general at the U.S. Embassy in Prague.
Up to five American citizens show up every day at the embassy reporting stolen passports, Appleton said. In 2003, only one theft victim arriving a day was typical.
Appleton said most victims are "very young, very old, very weak, people with canes. It's dreadful."
Appleton and others involved with tourists said popular destinations in Old Town are rife with pickpockets, including Old Town Square and Charles Bridge. Tram 22 is another favorite target. It runs from I.P. Pavlova in the city center past the National Theater, across the Vltava, and into Malá Strana — and the stretch between Malostranské nám?stí and the Malostranská metro is regularly worked by a family of pickpocket experts who crowd around victims, giving them no out.
Train stations and metro stops are also rich haunts for thieves and scam artists.
"An English-speaking man at M?stek metro station offered to give us directions," said Viola Palmer, a tourist from New Zealand robbed May 18, in a letter to The Prague Post. "He directed us into the hands of his pickpocket gang. They jostled us in the train and stole our cash and credit cards."
Appleton warned against another good Samaritan scam. He says it's duped four tourists he knows of in the past two months:
"At Hole?ovice station, where you get the train to Vienna, a man offers to put the luggage of a woman onto a train. He passes the luggage through a window — and his partner on the inside takes it and runs."
Tomá? Rippl, who helps run a family hotel in Malá Strana, U velké boty, says the number of pickpockets in Prague is increasing and that they are becoming more and more cunning.
"I saw a group of tourists the other day at the castle," he said. "They had cameras, backpacks — the whole bit. I watched them closely for awhile and realized they were pickpockets in disguise."
"Two years ago they would have been walking around in normal clothes. It would have been obvious. They're learning to be invisible."
Rippl said a common tactic is to jam the entryway of a tram, hemming in a small crowd of people while pickpocket partners rifle through the victims' pockets and backpacks from behind.
Rippl tells guests at his hotel to keep valuables in front pockets, and to be on guard whenever in crowds.
Bulgarian scam
A once-prevalent scam thought to be retired has returned to fashion in Prague this year — street money changers who pass Bulgarian leva off as Czech crowns.
In 1999 Bulgaria lopped three zeros off the leva and gave holders of old bank notes six months to spend them or turn them in. "Information has come my way that tens of thousands of invalid leva have come into the Czech Republic," said Rudolf Bla?ek, councilor for security at Prague City Hall. "The 2,000 leva note is especially similar to the 2,000 K? note. They're both green."
These scam artists — mainly from Romania, Bulgaria and Poland, Bla?ek says — hang around exchange offices and offer a higher number of "crowns" for foreign currencies than tourists get inside.
Robbie Norton, owner of Rocky O'Reillys, a pub in New Town popular with visitors from the United Kingdom, said "practically every day" someone comes in and attempts to pay a bill with Bulgarian leva.
"We have to tell them 'Sorry, you've been ripped off,'" he said. "We get a lot of bachelor parties. In a group of fifteen, usually one or two have Bulgarian money. "
No honor among thieves
Two recent customers who were themselves up to a petty scam found themselves outclassed, Norton says. Wanting to cash in on the Czech Republic's far cheaper cigarettes, the two set out to buy as many cartons as they could carry in Prague and sell them at a profit back home in the UK.
"When they get here," Norton recalls, "they didn't like the rate they're getting at the exchange office, so they start talking to a guy on the street, and end up exchanging a couple thousand pounds for Bulgarian leva.
"That was the end of their business venture."

Such scams are nothing new. More tourists, more will be total numbers of such victims. I always leave my passport in hotel safe and carry only a copy. Similarly don't carry too many credit cards, travel light and look over your shoulder. I feel lot safer in Prague than in ant big US city.
The marriott and rennaisance hotels can usually be booked on Priceline at very good rates, both these hotels have room safes.
Put most of your goodies in the safe and if you bring a girl or two back your property should be safe, although they may raid the mini bar.
I photocopy and then laminate my passport id page, carry just enough cash for your needs!

Internet listings at the low end are a bit scarce. My experience in other cities has been that most low-end hotels do not have Web listings.

The clubs you offered are good, but there are a lot of options in Prague at different ranges. You'd be surprised how much service varies all over the place, and what you're paying for isn't necessarily what you're getting. At first, I thought I had to pay for great service. This isn't always true.
What you pay for, in my opinion, is simply the convenience of finding the girls. It depends on time of day and how much trouble you're willing to go to. During the day, girls are mainly in the privates and are cheap. At night, the girls are in the privates and the clubs, and your options range. Late at night, the girls are only in the clubs and prices are a lot higher. If you're a newbie here and you're looking to play only at night, the prices will be higher. There's quite a few privates, and their services are all usually in this range. If you're around Prague in the daytime through the evening, it's by far your best bet in Prague. Even if you've never been here before, all you have to do is hop on www.escort.cz and look up the privates. Call the numbers and use a map. from the outside the club does not look at all impressive. once inside it was a different story. the upstairs bar was very luxurious with large comfy sofas and good sized bar stools to sit on. there are various tv screens rep001tered around the place showing the action that is going on both downstairs in the main club and upstairs in the rooms. there seemed to be a lot of guys that come to the club just to drink beer and watch the action on the screens.
the staff
all of the bar staff and managers that i spoke too were fantastic people, all willing to do whatever they could to make me feel comfortable. they really all did a top job.
the contract
after being suitably impressed by the professionalism of the place i decided that it was indeed worth the risk to venture downstairs into the main club area. i spoke with a manager who requested my passport and returned a few minutes later with 3 english copies of a contract, 2 for me to sign and return and the third to keep. now this was my first problem, the english translation of the contract was not all that it could be, leaving several ambiguities that i was not at all happy with. i understand legal jargon, that was not the problem, the wording and sentence structure used in several of the clauses left a lot that could be open to interpretation. i don’t know, perhaps the translation is fine and the czech version of the contract is just as bad. there were several portions of the contract that referred to a sum of 10,000 kc being paid to the club by the customer and paid to the customer by the club. it was explained that this was some sort of legal loophole in czech law that must be fulfilled when you are working with "actors". i am still not entirely happy with this, if i would not have been a few beers in the hole and feeling horny i would have walked out right then. i’m just dreading waking up one day to find a bill for almost 500 dollars on my doorstep.
going down
after (reluctantly) signing the contract i was asked to follow the manager to the main club entrance where a security guy checked me with a metal detector. i was then shown into the reception area where i was asked to pay my 300 kc entrance fee. then i was given a wrist tag with a number on it, a numbered security key card and a locker key. before being allowed into the club one must change into a bathrobe and sandals. i expected this from reading the reports and at this point had no problems. after changing i was escorted downstairs by one of the "models" and shown to my seat.
the main club
the downstairs area of the club was decorated in much the same way as the restaurant, all very nice. the only real difference, besides the girls, was the fact that the lighting was lower and the music was loader. i really liked the atmosphere. besides the bar area there was also a "relax room" containing a tv showing cnn, a suana and tiny swimming pool. the real problem was the heat. outside it was maybe 28 - 30 c but inside it felt like an oven not helped by the fact i had to wear this huge robe. there was no air conditioning at all, an insane state of affairs as the restaurant upstairs was air conditioned.
drink prices.
this is when i started to find problems with this place, for some reason only known to them, the price of a drink is more expensive down in the main club than in the restaurant. maybe they have to pay the staff more to carry all those bottles downstairs? for example, a large beer upstairs is 65 kc and that very same beer downstairs is 100 kc! outrageous.
the girls
ok now we reach the real major problem with this club, the quality of the girls. using the tried and tested 1 - 10 scale i would say without any hesitation there were no girls anywhere near 9 or 10 on the looks scale. there were maybe 2 girls that are pushing 8 after a few beers and the rest were all completely mediocre. in fact there were several girls that i would rate a 2 at the very best. the free sex thing kind of lost its appeal at this point, pretty much anyone reading this could do better in a normal club on a friday or saturday night with no more than a smile. as i was here i decided to at least see if the service made up for the looks. i chose one of the better looking girls and after some getting to know you chit chat decided to go up to one of the rooms.
the private rooms

To the extent of my knowledge, the entire city is pretty much safe (read back a few posts-we had a discussion about it recently). Generally speaking (from my personal experience, as well as what I have heard), although theft can be a problem, the Czech aren't real big with violence-their attitude is pretty much "fuck it" and "Live and Let Live".
You will probably want to be close to the center (centrum) for this reason. The metro's stop running at I think 1:00 AM. If you are out drunk and chasing ass (near the center is where most of the action is) and P4P, you have to either figure out how to work the trolley system (a little tough when you are drunk, cold, and tired). I have been forced a couple times to take an expensive taxi ride home in the middle of the night.

Please share your information on apartments-although I am sure there are downsides to them, it would be nice to not have the hassle from the hotel staff when bringing back girls.

Bart, is your regular cellphone a GSM multiband? If so and if you can get it unlocked you should be able to buy a prepaid SIM card and use your old phone. I was able to unlock my GSM phone with the help of some Internet sites.
There is a shop on vodickova near (Václavské námìstí) from the square about 30 meters it is on the right side under the arches that sells second hand phone and all sorts of sim cards.

If you can not get an unlocked phone to used, I have read on this board you can buy a used cell phone in the stores near Musek. They will buy the phone back from you at a discount at the end of your trip. As for me, I bought a new phone from the T-mobile store in Flora 3 years ago. I have been using it ever since. It cost 2000 CZK and it came with a charger, local SIM card, and 300 CZK airtime credit. You must recharge the SIM card with more airtime at least once a year or the SIM card will be no good. The charge for air time is about 7.5 CZK per minute. Other providers might have cheaper rate but the SIM card is only good for 3 months if you don't recharge it. T-mobile works for me since I don't usually visit Prague within 3 months.

I knew the risks when I went there so I'm not complaining, but if they're actively starting to push their images to other sites for promotion I'll probably stay away in the future.

The T-mobile plan I have is Twist prepaid. This plan was still available four months ago. Consider a SIM card costs about 600 CZK and I got 300 CZK airtime credit, which means I paid only 1100 CZK for the phone. That's pretty much a throw-away phone as far as I'm concern.

I think it is always best to take your own phone and buy credit, there are few cell companies to choose from, T-mobile, Eurotell, and Oscar, somebody told me if two guys have oscar you can get the best rates:-)

From the fractured English, it sounds like you should go Vltavska to bus x1-x5??? and then take that to Tusarova.

No problem - the metro is open until 12:15 or so, and you can always take night buses from Vltavska. Just come out of the metro and you will be facing either 1) more of prague, or 2) the vltava river. Point yourself toward the river and go LEFT (east) for a block or two along the road until you come up to Sex Park. As you walk along the road that follows the river, you're heading away from the castle and towards the part of town with the big white TV tower at the top of the hill. You should be at sex park in less than 5 minutes. I've never had problems walking around that area at night. It's pretty dirty and sometimes you'll find a bum or two, but it seems safe. Just dirty. Now have fun!

I know they're not everybody's favorite, but I've always had good experiences at Dessert. Erika and Diana could kill me with sex. Unfortunately, I don't think theyr'e there anymore. Now my question:
I am going to Prague in the first week of october and i am still searching for a trouble free accomodation with:
- possibilities to internet ( fast enough to use skype-out phone)
- possibilities to store my laptop in a secure place (safe)
- no troubles for getting an escort
And if this is not enough allready i dont want to pay too much money for it :)

I recently returned to Prague after some time and I was suprised at how much the weak dollar and rising costs have affected the scene here. I used to be a regular at Atlas and had never been disappointed by the quality of the girls available here, but this time it felt very guido-centric. Yes, at any one time only a few girls at K5 will offer BBBJ's. The few who do are also constantly busy and unavailable. I can't imagine why.
