Yes, of course, with premium escort services like this, the customer is expected to pay for the billable time plus all related expenses.

The only issue with the Emperor's Club V.I.P. was that this high end escort service failed to guarantee anonymity and privacy. With such high prices, you would hope that they figured all of this out, but obviously they didn't.

I am not really sure how this thing with a boot got started, nor do I really care. I also do not call all newbies; BSD's. In certain situations there are members on this board who are newbies to China and are fully aware of the going prices, but still feel the desire to pay above and beyond the going rate (which does screw it up for others). We will witness this next month during the Canton Fair.

I am an active, paying member of this website, just as you guys are. This entitles me to post and look at pics on the forums, same as everyone. I say what I think; people may or may not like what I say, but they can choose to disregard or accept my words....makes no difference to me either way.

I am not gonna attempt to put a boot in anyones ass, nor would I actually even try. I do my own thing and hangout with those I can trust and call friends, I don't have the desire or need to police CP. But I do have the right to post on this forum and will continue to do so until I decide to quit ISG.

If anyone wants to throw money at hookers, that's their business, not mine. When you come on ISG and brag about it, then it becomes public knowledge and yes, you will hear about it from myself and others.

Newbies who know the price, overpaid every time.... They are 1st Class BSD... but HEY!!! how can they try to pass off as a Newbie since they know it all and had been overpaying many times already? Perhaps I should even post their Handle in a list of BSDs under my Wankerville thread?

Exceptions: (Why everything with me has an exception?) Newbies who knows the price, overpaid every time, come to ISG to brag about it, and finally thinks he is building up credits with the hookers so that he can get good or free services.... Nah... he is not a BSDs... he is doing something right here... he is paying the girl to teach everyone a lesson: Title of the lesson: "A fool and his money will soon be parted".

I used to live in Beijing, and I used to visit Maggie's, and sure, they can be quite fun if you choose wisely. However, I think the level or worship has become so elevated that Mongolian girls from Maggie's is the only topic of discussion on the main board's Beijing thread.

There is rarely anything discussed about local Chinese girls in Beijing anymore, and occasional reports about naked KTV, and maybe a sauna.

Ok, IMHO the Mongolians were good but not THAT good, plus they charge a lot.

Perhaps it is time for some fresh topics on the Beijing Board?

The crackdown however has reached far beyond the Church of the Sacred Mongolians.

Underreportedly (due to the fixation on Maggie's,) many other places are resembling graveyards. Chinese WGs are being arrested in wholesale fashion. As I have been told, many successful mamas simply left the country.

With all due respect, I do believe that you might be too pessimistic about the future of Beijing's mongering scene.
Yes, for sure, Beijing will be the cleanest city on earth for a while at least until the Olympics and the obligatory shock waves afterwards shall be over, but ... look at Shanghai. I do believe that authorities are more than aware what is going on there. Look only at Tongren Road, Shanghai's most sinful strip now crowded even by "Gastarbeiter" from other countries. Think about all the KTVs and the saunas. They know very well, and they actually do close both eyes, because they are aware that a modern city does need such "pleasure ventiles".
Same counts for Beijing and for the Beijing authorities. Maggie's (and others, like Hollywood, etc.) raison d'etre was to provide such a ventiile.
They will return, once the "storm" has cleared up and normality will reign again.
Then, the new Police Boss will be moved to Shanghai in order to clean it up for the upcoming EXPO madness. So, don't you worry too much.

beijing had its eyes wide shut regarding the "pleasure vents" until a week ago. foreigners thought to be above the law and behaved accordingly. places like maggie's openly flaunted their "good connections." it's over.


normalcy will probably return to bj in fall, but a destroyed infrastructure takes time to rebuild. yet: waiting until september / october is way too long. so what's a horny laowei to do? maggie's was sooooo convenient. maggie's is - was - just a 12rmb taxiride from where i live. and for ultimate lazyness: hit your favorite mongolians on the speed-dial, and 10 minutes later, they were there. all gone.

I don't think the breadth and depth of the current operation has fully sunk in outside of Beijing. It's not that just Maggie's is shuttered. The open bars are deserted. Jeez, they even started CUTTING HAIR at barbershops! My favorite saunas who's manageresses were champions of outbound telemarketing, now warn everybody off. When I returned to Bejing from a long trip, the manager of a high priced sauna used to call me before I could retrieve my bag from the carousel. (God only knows how she knew.) Now she tells me to stay at home, says, maybe she can send some girls to my place instead. You think I take her up on that? For all I know she could have been turned, and men in black will show up at my door. There is reason for such paranoia: Police is already going to the trouble of following providers and customers to hotels and arrest both. A harmless cocktail party & pool tournament, organized by Sammy, and which attracted six males and 7 females, is raided by a police force that arrived in three cruisers and 2 busses. Police is canvassing apartment buildings, looking for unregistered foreigners AND Chinese. In that environment, information will be very slow in coming, and rightly so. There isn't much to share at the moment, and the moment it's shared, it will be shut down.

I appreciate the suggestions to come out of our protective bubble. However, I also suggest to stop living in the past and start facing reality. It's harsh.

A few month ago, I found SH confusing. Now it's a paradise compared to the purgatory called BJ. I think I'll move.

Cleanup come and goes...

Shutdowns are temporary.

Look at the time when they were building the Shanghai South station, They came in and cleaned that area up. All KTVs, BBSs around that area were gone. Today, 2 years after the Station opened, there are even more BBSs and KTVs around that area than before.

Look back to the year 2006 when they had the International World Conference in Shanghai for the few communist countries. Prior to the conference, they cleanup the areas in Pudong where there were dozens of BBSs. Today, there are streets full of such BBSs around that area.

Come year 2009, when Olympics is over, Beijing will back in action for our hobby. There is one thing you cannot stop in China and that is to stop the Chinese people from jumping on any opportunity to make money. The sex trade is one that basically makes money with the least efforts. The only setback is; the risk are also one of the highest. The Chinese are risk taker but not a long term business planners. This goes not only for Beijing, Shanghai but also goes for Shenzhen, Dongguan or smaller towns.

Just a some words based on my experience.

Recently there had been much talks about the Mongolians up in Beijing and from Maggies. I do agreed to a certain sense that those Mongolians providers in Maggies are spoiled by the mongers community there. They asked for relatively higher prices. But I would like to add: It is still very much of a demand and supply. As long as there are people who are willing to pay what the Mongolian are asking for, the Mongolians will not down their price. People who are in town for short period of time are willing to pay more as they are not going to waste their time hanging around trying to negotiate the price. These visitors, are often referred as "Wankers" or "BSD". I had addressed this in my other earlier post; that they are not to be blamed as they have only limited time.

Bottom line: The Mongolians are spoiled because the demand is always there. They know that without downing their prices, they will be taken out anyways. Now with their demands from Maggies gone, rightfully they should not be so stuck up about themselves but however; these Mongolians WGs are not highly educated, they do not study Marketing or Economics; they would need some time to realized that they no longer can price their product (their Body) at the price they use to be able to. Thus recent comments from the Mongolian group that headed down from Beijing (Maggies) "Why are Shanghai man so stinky and cheap?" actually is a pure representation of their ignorance of the basic market knowledge on Supply and Demand theory.

I've lived in BJ for four years and Maggie's was my extended living room. I have paid 800 four years ago, and I pay 800 now (well, with another 200 on top to reward good service .)

Well, I DID pay. They are gone.

The girls who fleeced the tourists were a group of young chicks, run by an arrogant cheerleader, Ogie. (Common Mongolian nick, there are several. This Ogie is blond with relatively short hair. She usually dresses in a plaid oufit that triggers schoolgirl fantasies with some. Not to be confused with the Ogie who's one of the Seven Sisters.)

They were despised by the seasoned girls for screwing up the market. The seasoned gang blamed the blatant babies for creating the "too many guys, not enough business" phenomenon: The young and pretty ones (who were not so good in bed by the way) attracted the inexperienced buyers. Guys who could afford 3000 took off with one in tow. Those who couldn't, or didn't want to, thought that this was the new going rate, gulped, emptied their Tsingdao and left. Soon, Maggie’s turned into a zoo, frequented by window-shoppers who didn't dare to ask anymore. The babies hooked the occasional tourist for ever higher prices to make up for the slackening volume of true buyers. Quality, good looking, seasoned girls with often mind-blowing skills couldn't even pay their rent. A bubble market that did burst on Black Friday, March 21.

When the shit hit the fan, the chicks were the first to chicken out, they left on Sunday after the crackdown. In their arrogance, they went to SH instead of UB. They didn't last more than 3 days. In their double arrogance and triple stupidity, they reportedly went back for BJ, where they won't last 5 minutes.

Many of the seasoned girls actually ARE university educated. Several studied in Moscow and other places of Europe. Many speak more languages than the average Harvard MBA. They did the smart thing: Had a pow-wow. And then all headed home to UB.

Bottom line: Let's not confuse the arrogant baby crowd with most of the Mongolians who provided honest, steady, quality service to steady customers who knew the deal. And careful with insinuating that all who frequented Maggie’s are suspicious of being a BSD or a wanker.

As for spoiling, perhaps we did. Many Mongols became family and were spoiled like nieces being spoiled by their uncles. Repeat business breeds familiarity.

Many of the very senior contributors to ISG lived in semi-permanent relationships with a Mongolian. Sammy kept a whole harem. We took them to restaurants, and the ones we took dressed better and more elegant than the expat wives. My own WIFE received birthday gifts from them (I never did...) Some prominent members of ISG quietly organized an underground railroad to get them out after the raids, got them lawyers to spring them from the pokey. Were they chumps because of that? I think not.

Anyway, it's all in the past tense.

A Chinese official who drank himself to death has been named an “outstanding communist”, even though the city where he worked is the focus of a campaign against government employee alcohol abuse, state media reported on Tuesday.

Guo Shizhong, 45, director of a district family planning bureau in Xinyang City, died of a brain haemorrhage after drinking himself into a stupor and collapsing in a karaoke bar in the city, according to medical reports from the ambulance and hospital that treated him, a person who has seen the reports told the Financial Times.

Guo was posthumously awarded a “level-three order of merit” and named an “outstanding communist” by the government in Xinyang in the central Chinese province of Henan.

The award entitles his family to continue receiving 10 per cent of his government salary.

Chinese leaders have repeatedly warned that official corruption poses a threat to the Communist party and Beijing has launched numerous anti-corruption drives in recent years.

But these often go nowhere after reaching the local level, where officials traditionally spend many hours wining and dining with each other and businessmen seeking favours.

Xinyang, a municipality of nearly 8m people, is the focus of a widely publicised anti-corruption campaign targeting officials who drink at lunchtime.

Government coffers are overflowing even as income disparity worsens across the country and overt displays of largesse by party officials are a common source of discontent.

The Xinyang campaign to stamp out the common practice of liquor-soaked lunches paid for with state funds began a year ago when a task force was set up to perform random breath tests on officials, and reporters were invited to watch as some offenders were fired on the spot.

Officials quoted in state media said 269 party officials had been punished so far and an estimated Rmb43m ($6m, €4m, £3m) in state funds saved so far.
More than half a dozen other cities have adopted the policy and alcohol distributors in the region complain this has led to a drop of as much as 30 per cent in sales.

“The government ban on civil servants drinking at lunchtime has had a huge impact on my business,” said Shao Li, a liquor retailer and wholesaler in Xinyang. “Many in the liquor wholesale business have had to quit.”

On the night of February 26, Guo was invited to dinner at a restaurant by other officials. After the meal the group went upstairs to a karaoke bar and hired hostesses to accompany them, according to the Orient Today, a state-controlled newspaper based in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan province. The report quoted bar hostesses as saying that Guo was a regular customer.

They said that he passed out drunk on a sofa and his companions later called an ambulance when they realised he had stopped breathing.

The former Communist party chief in Shanghai was sentenced to 18 years in prison on Friday for his role in a corruption scandal – making him the most senior Chinese politician to be jailed for a decade.

Chen Liangyu, 61, was found guilty of “taking bribes and abuse of power” by a court in the northern city of Tianjin, Xinhua news agency reported, following an investigation into misappropriation of up to a third of Shanghai’s pension fund.

As the most senior official in Shanghai, Mr Chen was also a member of the central party politburo. After being dismissed as Shanghai party secretary in September 2006, he was expelled from the Communist party.

His arrest was part of a corruption scandal that has led to more than 20 other local officials and businessmen being arrested. Earlier this week Zhang Rongkun, a Shanghai businessman who was once one of the richest people in the country, was jailed for 19 years for his role in the scandal.

The authorities have been keen to present the arrest of such a senior figure as proof that the leadership is determined to crack down on corruption.

Political analysts have suggested that the probe reflects other political goals, such as an attempt by President Hu Jintao to squeeze out the allies of his own predecessor, Jiang Zemin – himself a former Shanghai party secretary.

The Shanghai investigation focused on money from the city pension fund that was funnelled illegally into a series of other investments by senior officials close to Mr Chen.

Previous reports in official media said Rmb3.2bn ($457m, €289m, £232m) had been siphoned off from the fund. But Xinhua said on Friday that Mr Chen was responsible for the misappropriation of Rmb1bn.

According to Xinhua, the allegations against Mr Chen included taking bribes of Rmb2.39m, using his position to arrange jobs for his brother and son, and helping Mr Zhang to buy stakes in public companies at a loss to the state.

One of the cameras captured someone moving inside his home Thursday after he had left, and he called police believing it was a burglar. However, when they arrived they found the door locked and all windows closed.

"We searched the house ... checking everywhere someone could possibly hide," Itakura said. "When we slid open the shelf closet, there she was, nervously curled up on her side."

BEIJING — Two prominent human rights lawyers have lost their licenses after volunteering to defend Tibetans charged in the violent anti-China protests that erupted in March. The decision comes as Chinese authorities are tightening scrutiny over dissidents in advance of the Olympics in August.

The two lawyers, Teng Biao and Jiang Tianyong, are known for taking on politically contentious cases, including those alleging official abuses of human rights. Reached on Tuesday night, Mr. Teng said he learned last week that judicial authorities had renewed the license of every lawyer in his firm, except his own.

“Obviously, it is because of the Tibetan letter that I signed and also other sensitive cases I handled,” Mr. Teng said.

Judicial authorities could not be reached for comment on Tuesday. But human rights groups say the authorities initially considered denying license renewals for numerous lawyers, only to relent in the cases other than those of Mr. Teng and Mr. Jiang.

Lawyers are increasingly at the cutting edge of efforts to push systemic change in China. Self-styled “rights defenders” regard the law as a tool to expand and protect the rights of individuals in an authoritarian political system. But the ruling Communist Party is often wary of lawyers who try to challenge what it regards as the unassailable pre-eminence of the party in society.

In April, 18 lawyers signed a public letter volunteering free legal services to Tibetans arrested during an official crackdown against protests in western China. State media reported that 30 Tibetans, represented by government-appointed lawyers, were given sentences from three years to life during trials in April. Mr. Teng said the judicial authorities were not pleased with the offer of free legal counsel and later warned the lawyers not to get involved in the Tibetan situation.

By May, Mr. Teng said, his law firm applied for its standard annual renewal of licenses. But the firm’s licenses were suspended. “They just informed my boss that I was the reason the whole firm was in trouble,” Mr. Teng said. But on Thursday, the authorities lifted the suspension and granted renewals for the other 60 or so lawyers in the firm.

Last month, before a final decision had been made on the licenses, Mr. Jiang said his status was in jeopardy because of his willingness to handle “sensitive cases.” “As a lawyer, I only care about whether the case can be legally defended,” Mr. Jiang told The South China Morning Post in Hong Kong. “I will follow the right rules within the law. I don’t know how to judge whether a case is sensitive or not.”

China's draconian visa policy is affecting hotel occupancy rates. Hotel rates over the Olympics may drop significantly because of this. Lots of people thought they would rake in the money, now businesses will be lucky to get any business at all.

It looks like it will be a quiet time in Beijing during the Olympics.

Perhaps it may be a good time to be a tourist so long as you have your visa taken care of, though I still would not want to be caught with a pro.

It was good to meet up with fellow reader Silk Fan last week. We met up on a weekday, had drinks at the Red Beat on TRL, then checked out the rest of the bars. I was with fellow readers WGS and AG as well.

A quick check at Blue Angels, Sunshine, and finally Anny's revealed that we were out a bit early in the evening. Not much action, except for the usual thirsty bar girls.

Personally I don't understand why the girls think berating a customer to buy them a drink works. Well, at least on me it is the exact opposite. The more demanding and hard core they get about berating me to buy them another drink makes me want to refuse to do so even more.

Kind of how you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

I don't think the concept of persuasion is in their lexicon.

I remember back in the day, ok, it was only maybe 2 years ago, when TRL was relatively new and the girls were actually friendly and a lot friskier. Today, they are mostly nothing but B*****S.

The way to get around it is through:

1) Proxy servers outside China. ==> Not very stable for free proxies.
2) VPN ==> You need a subscription. There are companies like Witopia, SecureIX, Surf Bouncer , etc. But these are not free.

Cat 5 has nothing to do with access rights buddy.... Cat 5 is the only the certification of the UTP cables they use to wire up the network in those hotel.

The ISP were told by the government to block off ISG and they did it from the ISP servers. So if you do not have a VPN or reliable Proxy, forgot about ISG in China.

My doctor prescribed me Actovegin Gel and/or 5% Ointment a couple or so years ago after I had one of those Multi pops/day for a few days - which had inevitably resulted in generalized swelling of my uncircumcised head.

The description accompanying this medicine describes it as some kind of Bovine (cow)/Calf blood derivative derivative. I've tried to do a bit of research on it, but have not been able to find too much except that it's somehow involved in the doping scandal of the U.S. postal service cycling team.

Anyway, since then, I've always packed one of these gel or ointment to apply after each session - and have had relative success in that my pecker does not swell, even after multiple pops.

The question is - is there any harm in my practice?? Is there any bad things that could happen with prolonged usage?? What is this Actovegin exactly and how does it protect/strengthen my skin??

I hope that you guys don't mind me joining the conversation. I recently moved to China from "stateside" and it is quite an adjustment. I spent the last 5 years traveling mostly to So. Amer, and came to have a great fondness for that part of the world. I learned to communicate in the language, (mostly...I still can't speak much Portuguese) and enjoy the beauty and passion associated with So. Amer ladies.
I have only been in China for 3 months, and six weeks of that time was in Europe, so effectively not much time.
I am enjoying China, but it is very different. I am taking Chinese lessons, and trying to learn a little. I appreciate the experience you guys bring to the table, and hope to be able to add to the knowledge base going forward. Maybe one of these days, I will be able to tag along when you guys go to CP or the like and see what some of the other options available. I have never been to a KTV or a sauna in Shenzhen. My experience is limited to the chicken street bars and a little massage palor HJ action. I did take a trip to Hong Kong and enjoyed that evening, even if it was more expensive.
I will say this, I do miss the GFE experience of So. Amer, but maybe as I learn to communicate, it will come.

No customers on Saturday! It was easy to walk around and hardly anyone was buying! Not crowded at all!

If you bargain you will find that you can buy stuff for much better prices than when times were good.

The shop keepers are finding it really hard to sell anything these days.

I have never been to China before so would like to know were is the cheapest or best citys to go for the action prices. Hotels etc. I have always headed To Thailand which is cheap and easy to get to but need a change so flying from the uk where is the best city In China to visit.

ALSO It Would be good Idea to have a list off the asian countrys from the cheap to the Exspensive for us less experienced travellers.
