The rip-off joint of Bkk - stay away. If you had crossed the parking lot and gone next door to Entertainment Plaza, great fishbowl and sidelines from B$2000++ and up. Nataree always has many young sideliners price from 2200-3000. Long time ago I had a nice Myanmar girl for 3000 but all the Myanmar gals had left fear of police troubles. Cupidy has typically been a rip-off joint - stay away from there.
Plaza E next door is fine, at least last visit I made June '05. Meaty, resident MP expert and I agree Catherine and Long Beach were good hunting spots, good price, plus guarantee 2 shots. Recently he's has good luck with the Chav I, II and III (do a search for his FR).

About piont 1, totally disagree. The vast majority of workers in Thailand care more about their healthy pussy than your 5000 baht tip.
About the point 2, I have to disagree totally. I frequent these all Thai or Asian massage parlours quite often with my Thai, Japanese, or Singapore friends. Plus a Tip ? The 1,500 Baht IS the tip, the tip for the extras !! i had the pleasure of visiting teen mp on soi 33, akane, friends, and sabai sabai. the first thing i noticed is how structured the pricing has become for extras at the mps and even at nana ep. at nana the waitresses would slip me the pricing written on a napkin or small slip of paper as i was browsing the stage. as for the mp's, it seems 1,000 baht for bj/hj and 1,500 for fs seems to be the norm now. considering the house fee is only 800 baht and it's for two hours, it's still very reasonable.
here's my take on each of these mp's:

Decided to check out the new massage place next to Eden ( left side ) mentioned by Marcusbkk earlier. The place is called Ring massage! The place looks like a bar only. Spoke to the girls outside and decide on 1 1/2 hours oil with one girl 1500 baht, 2 hours with 2 girls is 2500 Baht. They took me to the back and went up into a small elevator to a small but very clean room with mirrors the bath was next door so you had to go back and forth.
Service was with a girl called Pun, service was so so I paid her 2000 in the room went downstairs and they wanted me to pay again. I look at the girl and she look back like it was for tip only so I pointed to her pocket and walked out. Most likely will not go again. For choices I perfer Lotus.
From my observations I believe Ring Massage might be part of Eden, since waiting for the elevator I saw people come through a door that should be from Eden?
LBMI checked out Ring too. Actually, it seems that it still mainly "under construction". Within a few weeks the place next door will be open too. They have already a web site, but nothing on it, just announcing hte fashion massage, as they call it.
Ring could be related to Eden, al least the boss is French too. Do not know if it is the same guy though.
I found that the girls available were of high standards, some 8-9's both in looks and attitude. I did not ask immediately for the massage, but just went into the bar for a few drinks, to make sure I make the right choice.
The gril I finally took upstairs told me that she was not into the massage thing itself, but more imto "other things". And godd she was at it. We were lucky to have a very big room, very clean, good shower, mirrored, all you would wish to have.

ThanksWhy limit yourself to these two choices? Teen Massage (both branches) is very overrated and I guess it is only because of ignorance of the alternatives punters still visit Teen. Their marketing has been clever, but that does not mean that they have better girls or are the only place that provides balls massage. If you are after balls massage try Oranges or Orchid where you will be treated better by girls without attitude problems.
At Darling you will be given a BBBJ with CIM without asking for it and the FS can be good if you hit the right girl. It is a tad more expensive than other MPs. These oil massages are really not worth the value of money at all. I would consider them a bunch of rip offs compared to all the legit soapies.
400 for an hour, 800 for 2 hours of room charge, then 1500 to the girl for full course. The selection of oil massages are no where as good compared to soapies. So if you spend 800 on room and 1500 on girl then it's 2300 bahts in a small dirty crappy room.
With this 2300 bahts, you can have very very nice sideline girls in most soapies in very nice room for 2 hours and many places for 2 shots. Some sideline girls only start at 1700 bahts on most Petburi shops and give 2 shots.
If you are new to the massage scenes, I think you should venture to see all the Petburi, Ratchada, Rama 9 shops, then you will never go back to the oil massages again.

BTW, for soapies or MP's, most of the time, I leave about 20-40 Baht for the cleaning staff. Half of the time, I tip the service provider about 100-200Baht, depending on quality of service. Sometimes, I give 500Baht, if she orders water for herself and then let me drinks it, or if she has to buy another box of tissue or additional condom. :p
As for oily places, you should discuss with the massage lady first. Most of the time, I am able to get full service without any prior negotiation, i.e. they are happy with what I give them. Of course, I know the market rate (1.5K Baht), so that is what I normally tip.
Salary comparison:
Soapies: 50% of what the customer gives at the front desk, minus fee to the papasan (if she requested him to promote her) and to cleaning staff (for replenishing her basket). So, the house gets quite a large portion.
Oily's: 100% of what the customer gives to her, minus tip to the cleaning staff. Some places make the girl themselves clean the room, so no additional penalties. So, the house gets less, and the girls earn more.
However, don't let this stop you from visiting a particular venue. Just go based on what you want. Some wants a rub down with a mental game of trying to gain the girl's trust to get a FS; some wants a pampered body scrub with assured FS. As they say in LOS, it's up to you!
As for me, I split my time between both. :D

If you run into a good worker, 200 bahts should be good enough. Thai customers normally give zero tip even had great session, even when they give tip at most of 100-200 range mostly.
I have been to the massage scenes in Thailand since mid 90's. I can tell you 200 tip for a good worker is more than enough. For example a 2100 bahts session girl in soapie, she will get about 1100-1300 from the store. Then another 100-200 bahts for her super job is very nice already, so she will get about 1300-1500 for just one session which is a weekly salary for a office lady.
Just a reminder, a college graduate working in office in Bangkok gets about 6000-8000 bahts a month. A person with more skill in office gets about 9000-12000 at most, and in up countrys, the girls working in offices, factories, stores get about 3000-6000 a month.
So it's better to tip in line with Thai standard, or don't even tip because most Thai customers do not tip. Nobody is really expecting you to tip 500 or 1000 bahts. A totally wrong mis-information.

I'm half on your side there, a 1,000 is way too much, but IMHO your 200 is the opposite of the scale and not enough, not a flame, JMO. In soapies I stick to a pretty standard tip of nothing, if service was nothing special, to 500 Baht if it was good/great, i also leave 20 baht for the cleaners. Each to their own, what RCA and I are trying to say JimBehr is 1,000 tip to a soapy girl is too much, having said that, a lot of Petchburi and Racahada places now have girls expecting 500 baht tip just for being picked and going through the motions, with another 500 baht tip for a second shot !

I would have to disagree that "newbies" are the only hobbyists going to the oil massage shops. It's a little less expensive on average, compared to the high end soapies like Poseidon. You have less risk, since if you find after a short time that the girl is not to your liking, you don't need to accept the FS part in the oily and you can move on to somewhere else and you are only out 800 baht. You also have the hj option, if like me, you hit about 3-4 places in a day and want to just let the girl do the work sometimes.
The oil massage experience is also completely different from the soapies. As different as a hj is from a bj. I like alittle of both during my stays! The one advantage of the soapies, I will agree, is the rooms. Much bigger and nicer at the soapies. Sometimes convenience is part of the equation, for example if you are at Livingstones, then many of the Soi 33 oil massage places can be quite convenient! There's a definite place for oil massages!

As Meaty writes and I have posted in past (check back to Nov 2005, and posts on Long Beach of last week), I found out from locals after visiting MP on P and R area that many times they'll try to charge 1,000 for second shot. When that occurred, never gave a tip.
For some MP, like on Rama IX, eg Long Beach and Catherines, two shots included and there my normal is 500 tip. Last week tried LB sideline models, only 90 minutes vs. nomal 2 hrs, 4,500 vs 2,000. Again same tip 500.

Long Beach's side liners are really expensive. But I don't think they are any prettier than the sideliners in Colonze 1 or La Defense. These 2 places usually have some nice side line girls any times. I have tried quite a few of them but the skill and service is definitely not as good as fish bowl girls. Especially Colonze sideliners most of them do very mediocre session, and most likely will end the session as soon as you cum. But fish bowl girls are quite friendly and many will give 2 shots without asking more tips.
Catherine has very good value. The girls will give you 2 shots, but this place is always packed with locals and the girls get snapped on the way before making their way back to fish bowl. So you have to be very decisive and agile to get the cutie just in time. That is the downside, lots of pressure.
Forgot to mention that giving 500 or above tip is okay if you get a second round and find the girl very nice and friendly. But for a normal one shot session in which you have a nice girl, then a tip of 200 or so will be reasonable, to encourage her to keep up good job. But 500 or 1000 bahts tip will actually spoil the girls, because then the tip will be even bigger then their
core income, then that's not reasonable to me.

I usually tip 200-300b for an average session(assuming one shot deal). Remember guys 400b is over $10 US and thats consider a really big tip in LOS. Think about it, unless you are eating in a somewhat fancier hotel or restaurant at home, how often do you even tip over $10 per person? note: (avg worker makes 500b/week in LOS)

For the past few years my old favorites (Mona Lisa, Chao Phaya 1 and 2, Hi-Class) saw a great decreaase in the numbert of body massgae girls. I have visited and seen as few as 2-3 girls available. Start w/ "FAQ", then the Reports of Distinction for solid background information.
RTFF the MP thread for latest. There is much to choose from, depending on your location, your personal preferences, etc. I like LB, Catherines because close to my office, good value and good experiences last 12-16 months. That's not to say other's are as good, things change, girls move on, etc. etc. and you need to read thru threads for latest updates.
Consider staying at Livingstone's, aka Giotto (see dedicated thread but have patience when reading the exchanges). It's on Soi 33 which is a great place, lots of good (and bad) bars - but Giotto will tell which ones to avoid.
And there is of course Nana and Soi Cowboy....
Since you're going for two weeks, I strongly recommend investing some quality time RTFF...you'll reap the benefits. Then come back with specific questions.
I did try the new place beside Eden last week but the turn of event prevented me from knowing what is the massage like in the place. Turned out that the bartender girl who had broke up with her boy friend the night before decided that she liked me and would give me a massage. Her massage skills were non existent but she offered me a special massage. Could not refuse so it turned out into the longest and slowest blow job I ever had. The problem is that I have to go back to see what kind of massage they give.

They can range anywhere from 200 baht an hour to 500 baht an hour depending on where you go. Average is 300 baht an hour and 400 baht for two hours. I usually get the two hour massage time permitting because it seems a lot more rejuvenating.

Depends on what "several hours" means. I recommend you do the following if at an airport, so you don't get hasselled by the taxi drivers.
- Take a taxi from the airport to BTS Skytrain station Mo Chit.
- BTS it from Mo Chit to Phaya Thai
- Walk from Phaya Thai on New Petchaburi to J-One or cross the street and walk to CP-2.
That's the best quickie from the airport to avoid the traffic and not get taken by the taxi drivers as they all get a commission at J-One. To return, just back-track the directions given. Of course, once on the BTS, you have access to anywhere almost. Darlings is further on for a fast one, etc. Go to Asoke and switch to the MTR Subway to Poseidon or hop off one stop to bus 11 to loads of soapy parlors. Get off at Chitlom for Akane.
I recommend going to Phrom Phong, walk to Washington Square, get into Sanzanka, get a salt wash, massage and one of the happiest HJs ever, depending on the girl.
If you have more time, take the airport bus into town for 100 baht, hit the traffic, but it still moves, then get laid. It's difficult to get the Airport Bus back, but it can be done. The BTS Mo Chit -> Taxi -> Airport is the best route back anywhere in Bangkok, until the new airport opens, which will really be a new learning pain.

All true, but just need to add that you should actually go into the hotel, sit around for at least several minutes then look out and check that alls clear. Some tuk-tuk , taxis etc sometimes are on to you and if they suspect you are actually going to a MP and not the hotel, they have been known wait you out and follow you to get a commission.

I had good luck at CP2 several times -every time- in the early evening. A couple were great. B1,700 total FS. It was good for before the gogo's get going. Annies is a block west of Nana and there was one to 'miss' a 'recommend' and an 'outstanding' there in Dec 05 and April 06.
The stunner at CP2 was in the 'regular' section. I used a Superstar once about 13 years ago and it was not money well spent. I don't do Superstar. I like the idea of hitting G-Spot at Nana or Our Place at Soi Cowboy (Noke) and then recoup the salty seadogs while getting a soapy before returning to the hotel.

First thing - don't get confused with Cupidy across the parking lot. Stay out of there - it's a rip-off.

Meaty I won't completely disagree with your assessment of Annies but they do give good service. The selection is not up to par with other places but if you can find a girl you like, I would say their service is as good as any other MP in BKK most of the time. Was in Bangkok last week, and got caught in the royal celebrations; actually, the road closures were not as bad as I was expecting, as it was all very well-organized, and if you were caught, it was for only awhile.

About tipping:
In Thailand I usually tip 5-10% for "normal" services (barber shops, restaurants, taxis, traditional massage, etc..) and 10-15% in soapies for normal/good service. This translates to about 100B tip in cheaper places (like S. Botan) and to about 200B tip in more expensive, 1500-2000B places.
In many places like Catherine, 2 shots are INCLUDED in the price that you pay at the desk. There is no reason to tip the girl extra just because you got two shots. Actually, if the girl doesn't want to give a second shot in these places, you should complain to the papasan.
Before somebody complains that I'm tipping way too little, please consider is that many Thais are working 6 days in a week or about 25-26 days in a month. Thus girl earning 5000-7500B/month doing normal job, earns 200-300B/day. When comparing tips and prices, you should convert then to the local daily income instead of your home currency. And I seriously doubt that Thai men, most of whom are earning way below 20000B/month, are leaving 500-1000B tips for 1700B massage.
Don't overtip or overpay, that just spoils the girls and raises the prices.

Evita and Meree (located at the New Pethburi/Ekkamai intersection) have 200B discount between 13.00-18.00. In Evita this means that you get 2 hours/2 shots for 1400B, not a bad deal :)

One thing about Nataree is there is also Mirage, Hi Class and Emmanuelle within two blocks. I guess Darlings is okay if you are around the Sukumvit area but it is overpriced in my opinion. My impression from reading other posts is that you can often get 2 shots in a massage place - once in the bath tub and then again later. But the body massage seems to not happen with that (maybe it takes up the time it would take to get you off in the tub)?
Foreigners are often not welcome at soaps in Japan - but there are some that you can go to. Check out the Tokyo thread, and also the other areas (I and others have posted on some in the Chiba area, for example). But you are right - it is not always easy to find.

There are not really any places within walking distance of the Plaza Athene. The only exception being Annie's, but If I was staying at the Athene I wouldn't waste my time at Annie's. Don't worry about it. Taxis are so cheap in BKK, that you can't possibly spend more than 100 Baht to go almost anywhere. I happen to live on Thannon Sathorn near the Chao Playa River - just 2 BTS stops or a 20 min walk from Patpong - but usually party far from there.

A careful answer: Usually the massage parlors closer to the Sukhumvit area, proposed by taxi- and tuk-tuk drivers (they then get a provision if they bring you there). Some names: Cupidy, Monalisa, Plaza, J-One (already a bit further away).

The parlors in Ratchada Road (Poseidon, Mirage, High Class, Nataree etc. ) and Rama 9 (Long Beach, Victoria's Secret) are usually catering more Thai / Asian customers, the risk to get ripped of there is lower, but depending on the papasam/mamasan who takes care of you there it is still existing.

I can assure you, if you don't speak the language, and are a newbie to the area, it is VERY possible to spend more than 100 Baht for your taxi - even when the actual meter fare would be closer to 60-70 Baht.
Maybe legally, I mean if they turn the meter on, but just this past week I glady paid 150B to go return from MBK to my hotel and from Silom Road area after the first three taxi's I stop refused to take me because of the traffic. There are certain high traffic area some taxis won't even go to, Pantip Plaza for one. In the rain or the Bkk heat paying 50 to 150B really is a bargain even if it's illegal.

Great info Giotto, thanks. I always taxi/subway to the Emerald Hotel and walk from there. The tuk tuks used to promote Atami years ago but I haven't heard about Atami. Maybe its closed.
I have noticed tuk tuk drivers are far less aggressive in trying to sell you things now than in years past. I remember when they would follow you for one full block as you walked.
Can any of the esteembed members help us find a decent MP anywhere in bangkok that allows 2 guys to take 2 girls to a suite room, ie lounge room and 2 bedrooms, jacuzzi would be a bonus. Not looking to blow 10's of thousands of baht, so hi end 5* super models are not what we want. Just a nice place, with suite / VIP room.
Where would you go ? and what amount would you budget ?

Ceasers may have what you are looking for as reported to me by a Japanese acquaintance who went with a group to one of their VIP rooms.
I don't recall how expensive it was, but I think it didn't exactly break the bank, and they were all extremely satisfied with the festivities.
Caesars used to add on a 2000 Baht surcharge if you're a farang, one of the steepest surcharges in Bangkok. I'm not sure whether they still do.
Well less than a month to go before I am once again in LOS!

Thanks guys for the idea, unfortunately Ceasers does have a farrang surcharge and its DOUBLE the asian rate, reports from anbother forum indicate 4,000 Baht being quoted, and this was for normal MF, 1 room stuff, not VIP suite !!
Ceasers is not for my budget, and even if it were it would be off my list for the rip in place.
Any others that you can think of, i imagin ALL of them in ratchada have them, but looking for info on prices etc.
